I heavy heart to say rest in peace to the original voice actress of Harley Quinn in the Batman Animated series, Arleen Sorkin, who passed away on the 24th of this month of August, 2023. She brought a phenomenal character to life who meant a lot to many many people.

I haven't noticed not many I know has heard about this yet, as it was very recent, but I'm sorry to be the bearer of this bad news. 😕

She truly brought Harley to life at the very beginning, and then later Margot Robbie in live action form and soon, Lady Gaga, 3 unforgettable women who have had a hand in making the vision a reality from the creation of the artists and writers who made her, and gave also had a hand in making this character come alive, those behind the scenes who don't always get recognition.

Arleen voiced Quinn on the show titled, Batman: The Animated Series, which first began airing in 1992.

The character of Harley Quinn was created by Arleen's college friend, Paul Dini, and was inspired by Sorkin herself. So we can sadly say, Harley Quinn, has now left us, but she still lives on the this day and will be remembered I'm sure for a very very long time.

Many people can relate to Harley, who she is, what she has gone through, she's here with us who do and characters like that are unforgettable, special, and can keep many people alive in the difficulties which so called "outcasts" and judged people who experience mental health disorders, and assist us with feeling not alone throughout the ways of the ableist words thrown around often if you don't or can't conform.

Along with portraying the villain on Batman: The Animated Series, she also took on the role of Harley Quinn on other animated shows such as The New Batman Adventures, which began the year I was born (1997) and ended in 1999.

Thank you Arleen, and may you rest, I'll miss you deeply, my dear Harleen Quinzel. ❤️
