The Conduit
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So heres the conduit! I'm very happy with how this turned out.
The conduit as a class is best described as a "Con Based Martial with spellcaster aesthetics", since, mechanically, it fills a martial role, being a class that doesnt use resources, with a primary party focus on dealing damage, while flavor wise, it goes around slinging blasts of energy at people.
This class mechanically is very much based on the warlock of 3rd edition, with flavour and some mechanical inspiration from the Kineticist of Pathfinder 2e.
The two core design elements that I tried to stick to with making this were 1. Being resourceless and 2. Customizability.
For the first point, none of the class features are limited in uses per day. No feature adds an additional resource for the player to track, nor uses spell slots nor etc. The closest it comes to a resource is its Exertion mechanic, where certain things tire out your conduit character. Though, this serves less as a resource, and more as a temporary debuff, reducing your damage output whilst its in effect, before being easily removed.
The second point is customizability. The first element of this is subclasses. Of course, theres the variety of subclasses to pick from, but notably, is that unlike other classes, you aren't bound to picking just one subclass. From 7th level onwards, whenever you reach your subclass feature level, you can choose to continue advancing in your subclass, or you can take the initial features of a different subclass. This means while you can do a more traditional route of going "I'm the lightning guy, I'm taking lightning every level", you can also do an avatar style "Master of 4 elements" and have 4 different subclasses by level 20. Mix and match them as you like, be the "Fire and Lightning" person, be the "I control water mostly, but also a little bit of ice", combine your elements and so forth.
The next part of customizability is in talents. Talents are very much your classic invocation style feature, of which there are... like. 60 of them at this point. But! Theres a lot of variety in what they do. While you have your choices of ones that give additional powers, like flight or teleportation or whatnot, a large bulk of them are dedicated to one thing: Reshaping your elemental blast. Go out there as a fire guy and blast people with fire, then turn around and literally explode everything around you in flames, then focus your blast into a roaring line of fire that pushes everything within it towards you, and then rush the last man standing with a spear made of literal fire.
The talents are designed around not just being able to reshape and modify your blast in a bunch of different ways, but you can combine them together and do cool stuff.
Because at its core, I wanted to design this class to fill a very specific style of fantasy, and thats of the type of magic you see in some settings where its just "I control this one element", and then from that the mage turns that into a billion different things.
A fire wizard will say "I can cast fire bolt, fire ball, and scorching ray". A fire conduit instead just has an elemental blast, but they can turn that elemental blast into a bolt that is hurled at one person, or have it explode into a ball of flame, or split it into multiple beams.
Its very much a creativity first subclass, and thats whats behind its capstone! The capstone is all of this at its epitomy, the ability to freely reshape your elemental power (By freely, temporarily learning talents) into whatever form you imagine.
Hell, customizability is built even into the very core of its flavour
Yeah <3
I hope you guys enjoyed reading this class as much as I enjoyed writing it and as much as I enjoy talking about it <3

I teamed up with Universal Trinkets to bring my DnD Class designs to life as acrylic pins! (With the backing cars also done by yours truly). They're available for ~5€ a unit, or ~17€ for the complete set, and you can get a discount at checkout by using the code "Sygdom"! (I also get an extra from the sales if you use the code!)
For now the available ones are the Wizard, the Artificer, the Warlock and the Rogue, but the rest of the classes will be coming soon-ish. If you ever planned to get these designs, it's a good moment to do so!
(I still plan on selling them as charms and stickers myself, but that may still take a while- So this is a great opportunity to get your hands on them!)
You can grab them in there!! (And reblogs would be much appreciated!)

dnd shit that wouldn't actually be that funny but to me it's hilarious
Teifling culture that's not inherently hot or sexy, but just kind of average human culture from wherever they're from with a few slight differences
weed existing
Every single fantasy interpretation of elves since Tolkien living in different places in the world. And no one mentions it, this is just how elves are
Gods aren't real, Clerics are just the equivalent of mormons who have accessed superpowers by accident and annoyingly claim it's the will of their gods
As with the above: half the people a Cleric approaches will start go "oh no thanks, not interested" like they're about to get converted
Kenku. They're just so great I love these guys
Any character whose backstory for joining their class is secretly that they wanted to find themselves and didn't know what else to do with their life the same way indecisive college students pick a major
A historically accurate amount of people contracting tuberculosis

Pact of the Monarch
Have you ever wanted a different sort of patron for your warlock character? Have you wanted a sturdier warlock? Look no further! The Pact of the Monarch has you drawing your magical abilities from a powerful liege. This is the part of the Paradox Pack, a set of subclasses that subverts expectations. If you want to see the other two and much more content, consider paying my Patreon a visit!
EDIT: Aloofness was reworded to what it was supposed to be.

Level 1-17 Playtest - V1.0
For people who haven't seen before, priest is a point-based, divine spellcaster, with a big focus on customisability
You can choose:
What your casting stat is (Int/Wis/Cha)
Your Method of Worship, a subclass that augments spellcasting (Prayer, Sacrifice, Song, Spirit, Study)
Your Divine Calling, a second subclass that impacts your general playstyle (Cultist, Judge, Oracle, Truthseeker)
Your Deity's Domain, a small expanded spell list with a bonus feature, as you level you gain more and can channel a different one each day (16 options currently)
The document also contains a bunch of spells, and a feat to let you tap into the power of the priest!
New to this update are level 14 features for all Methods of Worship, the Trickery Deity's Domain (as voted on by members of my Discord Server), the Truthseeker Divine calling, and the 8th and 9th level spells for the class!
If you want to keep up to date on teasers, help shape the design going forward, and/or vote on future inclusions, come join the Discord!

Akkator's - Witch
Tumblr media
The witch is a caster that gains its magic from connecting with others. Form a coven and get adventuring!
Find it and its 5 subclasses available here [G Drive Link]
What is a Witch?
Witches are as ancient and old as their druid siblings. Instead of forming a bond with nature, they connect to nature's children, mortals and those who recently passed.
What does a Witch do?
They form covens with their companions. These covens allow them to transfer magic between each other. Acting as a relay and eventually a battery of magical power.
Tumblr media
Why should I play a Witch?
Witches are true supports. Not just healers and buffers, though they can do that. They can be battlefield commanders, issuing commands to air their allies. They can be alchemists, brewing surprises from their magical cauldron. They can be empowered blasters, annihilating enemies with the power of the stars.

It is with great pride that I present the first of my homebrewed classes, The Acolyte! I envision this class primarily as a caster, but they are purely self taught, mixing together a wide variety of magic. The trade off for this self taught power is that, they are, what I am going to call, a three-quarters caster. They have the cantrips of a full caster, they have the level 1-5 spells of a half-caster but they do not have the level 8 or 9 spells of a full caster. Instead their spell lists stop at Level 7.
I'm not 100% satisfied with it, I feel like there may be too much similar to The Wizard but I'm satisfied enough to post it. So enough talk! Here's the class

Hey hello! I have been considering putting these designs to use, as there was interest for merch of them in the past. These are also the designs someone stole from me to sell thousands of stickers of, so even if that was a really rough thing for me, it's also a reason for me to want to sell them myself.
I plan on also offering them in Redbubble in a while, once I set up my freelancing, so you could get them as stickers, shirts, mugs, that sort of stuff. But acrylic charms seem particularly fun! If you are interested, please check the Interest Check Form up above and answer it. Feel free to drop any other feedback there too, in case you don't quite like them and want to add anything (constructive!)
(Also pardon the watermarking, I'm scared about them being stolen again!)
Reblogs for visibility are deeply appreciated! (and thank you!)

Ninjago Headcannons (Dnd Classes) {E5}
These are my headcanons for what the Ninjago characters DnD classes would be. Minus the obvious rogue and or monk class
This is based on personality of the characters, and events seen in the show, and my own headcanons. I thought about doing muticlassed but in the end decided against it.
Includes some spoliers for olders seasons and references to older seasons and some newer, (Not inculding Dragons Rising)
Let me know if you'd be interested in actual state sheets for the characters and classes.
Lloyd
Paladin: Oath of Glory
Lloyd is an Oath of Glory Paladin. I chose the class Paladin for Lloyd, to reflect his status at the leader of the ninja. As the green ninja he embodies heroism and is looked up to by many. I thought Paladin it his fighting style seen in the show as well. Lloyd often weilds a sword and fights rather agressively, with his element as well. Usually firing off shots if he's farther away while relying on his sword when he's closer. Lloyd's personality also fits a paladin.
I thought the Oath of Glory fit Lloyd as being the Green Ninja he's become a living legend. He inspires those around him as seen in The Hunted (Season 9), when he railled the citizens of Ninjago through a television/radio. He also in Tournament of Elements (Season 4) Is the one that rallies the team back together.
This subclass is all about the embodiment of heroism . Honing your body and mind, being an exemplary hero who enthusiastically takes every challenge and inspires those around you; it's great for roleplaying a Paladin who will become a living legend . (Patricio Kobek on TheGamer)
Cole
Barbarian: The Ancestral Guardian
Cole is an Ancesteral Guardian Barbarian. I chose the class for Cole, as I thought it was the most likely class for him to play. I thought it matched his fighting style we seen in the show. Both in the old seaons and later in the new ones. Cole used to weild a scythe but even then he would attack using his element, by smashing the ground. Even with his weapon changed to a hammer, his attacks now almost look reckless compared to the others. His weapon is heavy and bulky forcing him to make large swings leaving himself open to attacks.
I thought the subclass Ancesteral Guardian fit Cole. Considering the events of Master of the Mountain (Season 13). I like to believe Cole's mother is the Guardian that would fight alongside him. Legacy was a big part of Cole's season. He spent quite sometime in it learning more about his mother than he had ever known. He even gained and learned her move the Spinjitzu Burst.
A family lineage can be very important to a character. A strong bond with that lineage can manifest itself as an Ancestral Guardian. With this path, the spirits of your ancestors will aid you in combat, bolstering your defense, hindering your enemies, and eventually outright fighting alongside you. (Patricio Kobek on TheGamer)
Kai
Bard: College of Swords
I think we all knew this was going to happen... But yeah I picked Bard for Kai. Kai is a College of Swords Bard. He seems to have a high charisma "state" in the show. At least he likes to believe he does. In the old seasons he has a very flashy and flirty personality. He liked being the certain of attention and often was. Which made sense he was supposed to be the main character. Regardless I think Bard still fits Kai in the newer seasons. Such in Prime Empire (Season 12) when he used himself as a distraction for the red visors. Yes, he didn't know he had limited lives but, dang if that isn't the most bard behavoir I've ever seen. Not only that but he did romance the daughter of the BBG in a season.
I thought College of Swords was a a good subclass for Kai. I was tempted to go with a different one. Ended up deciding on swords, because of his own chosen weapon, and the way Kai has been seen fighting. The subclass has different flourishs that allow the player to do different things, even after attacking their target. For some reason this matches what I headcannon to be Kai's fighting style.
If you ever want to be a swashbuckling adventurer, the College of Swords is likely to be your go-to. Similar to the College of Valor, the College of Swords bard gets an extra attack and can use its Bardic Inspiration dice for damage. Unlike the College of Valor, you can use those dice on yourself to do extra damage and receive other benefits.(Patricio Kobek on TheGamer)
Nya
Warlock: The Fathomless
Blame Seabound(Season 14) for my decision on this one. Nya is a Fathomless Warlock. I can see her having a Wojira as her deity, and we saw how that ended. Warlock's can still be in the thick of battles and not restricted to being in the back lines, despite being spellcasters. Nya's weapon being a trident/spear, and the fact we see her often throwing her weapon. I liked the idea that she both fights in the back and front, depending on the situation.
As for her subclass Fathomless deep, need I explain more other referencing Seabound (Season 14). A lot of Nya's times to shine is in the fourteenth season. She is seen being able to communicate with sea life. She stands toe to toe against Worjira, which if ending the season figthing the BBG. Who's also kinda of your deity doesn't scream Fathomless Warlock I don't know what does.
This creative angle on the Warlock connects you to a deity of the underwater realm. This could be a variety of creatures depending on other factors to consider, such as your character's species and their choice of background. You can cast spells like Guardian Coil and Grasping Tentacles, which are just as horrific as they sound. (Patricio Kobek on TheGamer)
Jay
Sorcerer: Storm Sorcerer
Another obvious one I feel. Jay is a Storm Sorcerer. I liked Sorcerer for Jay. Because it does give a refernce to his birth mother. As he learned in Skybound (There is no Skybound in Ninjago) Jay's element came from his birth mother the Elemental master of Lightning. I like to think he'd play a Sorcerer as a way to pay homage to his birth mother.
Storm Sorcerer as a subclass, or the obvious reason. Also because in the show we seen Jay's using his element many times and they fit with the benfits of the subclass. At higher leves Storm Sorcerers get resistnace and eventually immunity to bother thunder and lightning damage, they also can fly at higher levels as well. We saw Jay and his at least Lightning reistance again in Skybound (There is no Skybound in Ninjago) when the team used him as a lightning conductor to protect the ship. He's seen using his element to fly in Tournament of Elements (Season 4) When he is a game show host.
This Sorcerer subclass begins with Tempestuous Magic, allowing you to fly into the sky after an attack as a bonus actionwithout provoking an attack of opportunity. It's disengage as a bonus action for a spell caster, which can come in handy more often than you'd think. (Patricio Kobek on TheGamer)
Zane
Cleric: Knowledge Domain
I'm going to be honest I truly considered making Zane a Wizard. One because he is smart and two as a funny reference to Wizard's Health points and the fact Zane bites the dust like every other seasons (jk but not really... please Ninjago stop the robot abuse) Anyway Zane is a Knowledge Domain Cleric. Clerics are warriors and healers, and while Zane hasn't shown to be able to heal wounds. He did save Pixal's life by offering up half his heart to save her. As seen in Rebooted (Season 3) He would play cleric to help protect and heal his teammates.
Knowledge Domain was my choice for Zane. As listed below there are a lot of benfits that Zane already posses from being a robot. Although one of the others things mentioned is being able to see through time. Zane is one of the characters that has been shown to have, visions of the future frequently through his dreams. As seen in Rise of the Snakes (season 1) and Secerts of the Forbidden Spinjitzu (Season 11) to name a couple.
The Knowledge Domain is great for clerics who want to provide more utility than combat usefulness. This subclass gives you a lot of useful abilities, including more languages, temporary experience in skills and tools, the ability to read minds, and the ability to see through time. (Patricio Kobek on TheGamer)
Pixal
Artificer: Armorer
Pixal is an Armorer Artificer, the class was far to perfect to not give to her. She is the one that makes a lot of the Ninjas gear in later seasons. She makes their vehicles too. Sadly Pixal is usually in the backgrounds of seasons. Which doesn't give her much time to shine but it does give her creation times to shine.
Pixal is an Armorer Artificer, and while the website I used didn't speaker highly of the class. I have the agrument clearly the Samurai X mech was not factored in. Pixal upgraded and changed Nya's orginial Samurai X suit. She is seen using it in combat many times. One of her more impressive feat being in Secerts of the Forbidden Spinjitzu (Season 11) the second book. Where she fights off and holds back the Preeminent.
Not to mention it's already difficult enough to play a frontline Artificer without the right build; this subclass definitely doesn't help with that. It's a decent subclass at best that can be built upon to stand toe to toe with some other classes, especially at higher levels. But you'd have to wait in order to reach that, and most of the time, campaigns don't get to those high levels. Overall the Armorer isn't worth it compared to the other two subclasses coming up. (Patricio Kobek on TheGamer)
Misty
Bloodhunter: Order of the Mutant
Misty is a Order of the Mutant Bloodhunter. Misty's own blood is reasonable to for her corruption of her element. It causes her elemental powers to be unstable. Her powers are affected by her emotions. She constantly fears about losing control.
Order of the Mutant was my choice of subclass, because of the fact Misty is part Oni. This leaves her later on in life with some side affects and mutations.
There are a wide variety of mutagen effects from temporary flight speed to damage resistance to increased damage capabilities and more. While these are great passives to access, the downsides of some of these effects are difficult to ignore. Many of them make it so that your character has disadvantage on some sort of saving throw, making you extra susceptible to common magical effects.
