Changelings were fairies who had been left in place of a human child or baby who had been stolen by the fairies or elves.

The child was taken for one of three reasons; to act as a servant, for the fairies to receive the love of a human child, or for malice/revenge.

I read your comic about the changeling girls. It was so sweet and lovely and loving that I couldn't help but melt. Mary loves her daughters so much.

Did Mary ever see the Fairy from the second panel (the one bent over the crib) again by any chance? Maybe get a bit of a co-parenting thing going?
