I s2g if you add the layers of these comic pages together, it's over 350 layers. THIS is why I don't do full color for my comics lmaooo- ANYWAY EVERYONE HERE HAS AN AU APPARENTLY, SO THIS IS A BRIEF GLIMPSE INTO MINE. I don't know what to call it yet but I'm thinking of calling it "famous prophets" because 1. I like that car seat headrest song, 2. it's about shamura who is prophetic, 3. it's about trying to outrun fate with the Power of Love (and failing. Like the song!!!). It takes place when all the bishops were teens/kids during the age of hundreds of gods at war, and were trying to survive as a family.
I'm really excited to work on stuff for it but it's all gonna be drawn out of order. Maybe I'll write a full explanation of what it's gonna be about when I have a better idea...I want to channel my eldest sibling angst in a productive way, and maybe establish a QPP between shamura and a completely random npc everyone forgets about <3 also kallamar is trans too cause I said so. I'll do a comic about it eventually. Instead of an absence of gender he has TOO much gender. It simply cannot be contained.
I like that nonbinary genders are normalized in cult of the lamb to the point where nobody singles anyone out for being a they/them, it's not like "THIS IS MY SIBLING SHAMURA. THEY ARE NONBINARY AND USE THEY/THEM. ALRIGHT BACK TO KILLING YOU", it's just like "don't you fucking dare make my poor sibling wake up from their nap to kick your ass. Cause they deserve better than this."
But at the same time I like having the freedom to be more specific, and say "shamura is voidpunk and their gender is best described as the feeling that overtakes you during the first snow of the year, when everything outside is deathly quiet". This comic is actually derived from the time I was walking through a forest that's been torn down for a few years, and came out to my little sister as trans. I must've been like 13 or 14 and she didn't really get it as a 10 year old, but it was better than my mom FREAKING OUT about me coming out. So it was a nice little bonding moment between just the two of us. I don't have a good memory so I don't recall how it went unfortunately...
Now, the climate is a little different. My sis tried out transmasculinity for maybe 5-6 years before feeling happier as a woman, my mom is trying to be Based and flaunt her Woke trans children, and my dad remembered "oh yeah trans natives have existed before colonization. Maybe me being transphobic is a product of my culture being erased" and has gotten better about calling me the right thing. I have a mustache (thanks pcos!!) and wear skirts and am not a repressed "tomboy" teenager anymore. But I can't help but wonder what would've happened if I could've been like shamura and just...been nonbinary without people being fucking weird about it. Or been born as a badass war god who will tear you to shreds before you can perceive my birth sex. I know they're fictional but they are my ultimate gender envy GRRRRR BARK BARK BARK
Here is the secret image for this post- I listen to mostly EDM when I draw cause it keeps the energy up, but as I was finishing up shamura's poetry part, I was like THESE ARE JUST KMFDM LYRICS so I made this

Wait now that I’m thinking MCU new au idea just dropped
Harry/Loki soulmates but Harry is related to Tony who is very much not here for this energy in full “myth of consent” fashion.
Like post war/Battle of New York Harry finds out he’s related to some famous bloke in America and shows up because it can’t possible be worse than being hounded by the Prophet day and night right? And in the first three minutes he A) Tells Tony he has no idea who he is B) implies that he was a child soldier who didn’t do as well at dying as was intended and 3) flashes a soul mark that only Thor can read that he immediately and at full volume announces is Loki’s name.
Tony Stark is fighting for his life and he has known about his cousin for less than an hour

okay here's a backstory dump for this fatui!kaveh... fucked up au idea. i've got like... an animatic planned because i'm in desperate need of refreshing those skills, but there won't be like a linear ongoing comic like my other projects.
'potentially a fanfiction? maybe? but 'potentially a fanfiction? maybe? but there will probably be like. drawings of key moments.
TL;DR
everything is the same up until the night they meet at the bar, kaveh does not go with alhaitham. either alhaitham bungles the proposal, or kaveh is simply too proud to accept the help being offered and views it as an admission that he should be living selfishly.
instead, after a dream conversation with nahida, he becomes involved in the very early stages of planning for the sabzeruz festival.... and is killed, both as a warning to alhaitham to learn his place, and as a lesson to those of sumeru who wish to worship lesser lord kusanali so openly.
ill dottore revives him as part of his experiments with the akasha terminals. this is a success, and kaveh retains little to no memory of his life in sumeru. he is given a new name and a new purpose - yahya of the fatui, sworn to serve the tsaritsa and her goals. he re-enters the story at the same point, after the crisis in sumeru has ended. he remains behind as the eyes and ears of the doctor and one of the only holders of a functioning akasha terminal.
LONG VERSION OF HISTORY AND BACKSTORY:
that night at the bar, at his very lowest, kaveh refuses the invitation to stay in alhaitham's home. it feels too much like giving up. too much like accepting that he was wrong, that his beliefs are wrong - not the way he went about enacting them. to accept the invitation feels like co-signing onto alhaitham's view of the world as he understands it, and that is so grim and bleak he declares he would rather die than live in a world where people live only for themselves.
he has no idea how prophetic the words are to be.
that night, camping in the wilderness, lesser lord kusanali meets kaveh in his dreams. he does not recall most of the dream, only that she is a warm and comforting presence. everything he believes knowledge should be. a light in the dark, the tools to give the suffering some sense of peace. the people of sumeru are lost, he declares, and the akasha terminals have ruined their capacity to think for themselves. to see the world beyond puzzles that must be solved, and people are hurdles rather than assets.
and when he wakes, he no longer feels as aimless. there is a path forward that he sees all too clearly, and all he grown tired of in sumeru is the akademiya and it's overreach.
the efforts to revive the sabzeruz festival gain much more traction when the light of kshahrewar himself joins in. the actual festival is months away, but the fact that it being planned - that a famous scholar has joined in on the efforts - immediately gets traction.
people who hadn't previously seen kaveh's vision now see it at his hip, and rumors start to spread. he has been chosen by lesser lord kusanali to bring them into a new age of wisdom. kaveh had never minded the whispers of others much, as the only expectations he had ever worried about failing were his own and his client's - but if he'd heeded those warnings, he may have been better prepared for what happened.
when word came from the akademiya that his proposal had been approved, he has confused. what proposal? he had been funding this work on his own and with the aid of the desert folk - who were more eager to assist an endeavor for kusanali if her people were kinder than that of rukkadevata. still, he goes to the meeting place that the head of his darshan asks. they have a pleasant dinner, a few drinks - the taste of which is off - and kaveh grows concerned that questions about his supposed proposal are dodged.
they walk the docks of port ormos afterwards, though kaveh insists that he is not feeling well after that meal and wants to go home. thjat kind nature is taken advantage of, as the man says he wishes to discuss something important. he has been carrying a heavy weight and wishes to share it.
they stop short and stare at the water, and the man laments that kaveh has thrown away a bright future in pursuit of fruitless dreams. he was always a dreamer, that's what made his work stand out, but he does not care for or respect the spirit of knowledge. it brings him no joy to do this to the most promising alumni in centuries.
what he says is truly upsetting is that in the end, kaveh hadn't even earned this through his own merits. it had been his friendship with the scribe that sealed his fate. he would be a message to all.
there's no room for elaboration. kaveh can't even process what he's being told, uncertain if alhaitham ordered this or - if this is meant ot harm him.
regardless, there in the docks on a dark summer night, kaveh meets his end.
he flings mehrak as far from himself as he can once it takes too much damage to pull his sword free. they deliver death unto him brutally, and staged to look like angry debt collectors. and as he lay dying, the doctor steps from the shadows and asks if they have any further use for him once the message has been sent.
he's found in the morning, laying haphazardly on the shores. a dumped body that resurfaced. those lovely hands smashed and broken.
the details of the architect's ruined financials filter out, that he was less a light and more a bringer of ruin. it looks cut and dry. a debt collector had come to collect.
rumors of non-existent fundraisers slip into the conversation, leaving people to assume him nothing more than a charlatan and a fraud. destroying the budding reputation that the festival had.
before an autopsy can be performed, the body goes missing. those dedicated to recreating the sabzeru festival do not give up, and they are determined to see it through. not believing for a second that kaveh was taking them for a ride, and determined to not let his death be in vain.
elsewhere, the doctor carries on with his work.
a broken bird of paradise awakens in his laboratory. the glittering green vision resting atop his chest no longer gives off a glow, but the light at his temple does. this akashic terminal glows with the blue of cryo. all the information that could possibly exist within it has been downloaded into his mind, most of it partitioned away so it doe snot overwhelm him. this process, and the modifications to the terminal itself, makes up for the parts of his brain too damaged to continue to function on their own. the terminal regulates the processes his body should know how to do, allowing him to breathe, his heart to beat, his body to move when he wants it.
the drug slipped into his drink done a decent job of keeping him in a death-like state without actually crossing that threshold into death, but the damage was extensive. recovery, too, would be a nightmare. impossible were it not for this little gift.
when the bird is finally well enough to take wing, Il Dottore bestows upon it a new name, yahya and the codename uccello del paradiso. and with this name, a new mission - to serve the tsaritsa and burn away the world.
yahya does not know what happened to him, only that the cruelty of the existing world is what caused his suffering. he knows that he would have died, were it not for Il Dottore intervention. he is grateful to have been saved, though he remembers so little about his life before he feels he may as well be a new being.
his hands are strong enough to hold a sword, but the fine motor control necessary to write or paint has been lost due to a mixture of the damage to his mind and hands. he is still deceptively strong despite that willowy frame. even more so than before, as the modifications to his body and brain allow him to use more strength than what a normal person should be capable of without harming themselves.
his mind is sharp as ever, and the modifications to the akashic terminal allow him to more directly interface with ancient technology. most of his work has been in the investigation of king deshret's ruins and the so-called 'forbidden knowledge'.
he is most often seen in a modified version of a fatui agent's outfit, though the colors mirror that of ill dottore's harbinger uniform. he is also most often seen with a mask, meant to cover up the altered color of his akashic terminal and to hide his face from any who would recognize it in these lands. though there is light scarring across his face, he still looks like himself... though his eyes have changed. they're flat and lifeless.
the most concerning feature of his new existence is that at any point, his eyes can be looked through. his ears lsistened through. his voice used to say another's words. his autonomy hijacked and used used for the fatui's goal's. and he won't remember anything about it.
i'm still working out where this goes from here.
alhaitham and fatui!kaveh (yahya from here on out) have some encounters where they come to blows. yahya just seems to have it out for him and alhaitham has no earthly idea who this could be, but he pisses so many people off in the run of a day he doesn't pay much mind to it.
alhaitham definitely gets mehrak working in the aftermath of everything and hears the conversation with the doctor because mehrak recorded it, so he knows that the man has kaveh's body. but he assumes its just the body and he's disgusted at the idea that kaveh's corpse is being used for cruel experiments, and he just wants to get it back to give kaveh peace.
it isn't until he speaks with wanderer that he finds out that the experiments were a success and kaveh is alive.
WHAT IS FATUI!KAVEH LIKE?
yahya is still kind at heart, though no longer the sort of person who burns himself alive just to warm others for a second. he is still compassionate to the deserving, but far more willing to lash out at those who throw their weight around to punish the unworthy. in many ways, he is the version of himself alhaitham wanted him to be. he priortizes himself and his safety above all others, though that leaves a coldness to him that is difficult to ignore and hard to witness to those who knew him before.
he is far more quick to violence. pacifism obviously did him no good in the past. and what good is doing good if the evil are still there to reap it's benefits? there is a greedier, hungier edge to him - all to fill the void of loneliness and grief for a life that was robbed of him. yahya can't remember anything about who or what he was. he was told that he was killed for debts owed, and that he should blame the gods for it. as if the god he so loved had helped him, this could have been avoided. thanks to the modifications to the akasha terminal keeping him alive, nahida can't even enter his mind to set the record straight.
he can't pursue the softer things that brought him joy due to the damage he sustained before his death and revival. he collects mora as some holdover of the stress he used to have around it, though he has little to spend it on. nothing really sparks that joy and passion beyond the idea of creating, and he finds his new limitations too frustrating to deal with to pursue that.
while he is far from hostile to most people, he holds little love for sumeru. what he can recall - the phantoms of memories, nothing concrete - does not speak of a life filled with joy. but of loneliness, abandonment, and an untimely end at the hands of people he had trusted. he doesn't think he was much mourned, and doesn't realize that his death set both alhaitham and cyno on a path that ultimately lead to the changes in sumeru he had long desired.
DOES FATUI!KAVEH HAVE A VISION?
sort of. his vision expended most of its power keeping him alive, and is still kind of doing that. he wears it around his neck now, but it looks like the dead visions that we saw during the vision decree. it does start to glow when he starts to remember who he was and the convictions he used to hold.
DOES FATUI!KAVEH HAS A DELUSION?
yes! and he can use one without the negative effects because he's already basically dead. i'm torn as to whether i want it to be pyro or hydro.
WILL HE AND ALHAITHAM KISS?
probably yes.
the core idea here is that alhaitham always fucking knew that kaveh was going to give too much and get himself killed, and alhaitham is grappling with guilt.
kaveh is also feeling a lot of guilt, though he can never place the emotion or figure out why. the fight in the akademiya and the conversation at the bar are recurring moments for both of them.
but the tl;dr is that kaveh eventually realizes that despite how much of a dick he can be, alhaitham wasn't telling him not to ever help people. because alhaitham himself does help people when he can spare the bandwidth, he just... believes people need to also be willing to stand up and help him help them. and that he has to care for himself first so he's not dragged down and drowned.
he was trying to tell kaveh that he needs to take care of himself too. and that he can't drive himself into the ground over the guilt he feels for his father's death. because that wasn't his fault. that was kaveh trying to take responsibility for a situation he didn't create, which is ultimately what he does every time he rushes to save someone. he's trying to take control of an uncontrollable universe, to give all people an equal footing in the world without noticing that he himself is falling off the fucking cliff.
so yes there is probably a big climactic speech and then kaveh's vision flares back to life because he remembers why he lived the live the way he did and all the good he got out of it. and how inspiring it was. and how even if he mcfuckingdied, so many people cared enough to get justice for him. his actions had impact, had weight, and the ripples they caused made sumeru better for everyone.
and then the kiss.

Hello there! Hoping it’s not too much trouble but I read a couple of actor fics (Crowley and Aziraphale are actors in shows/movies etc) and really loved them. Slow Show and That Gay Pirate Show, I loved them, the writing, atmosphere, setting! I was wondering if there were any recommendations? Also just some personally favorites with that kind of vibe would be happy additions to my list! Thank you very much
Hi! We have an #actors au tag that you can check, and you'll also find fics with a similar vibe on our #famous crowley and #famous aziraphale tags. Here are some more actor fics to add to the collection...
Let's spend the night together by HolRose (M)
Actor, A.J. Crowley is having a perfectly normal day when he is hailed in the street by someone he hasn’t seen for over thirty years. His reaction is initially one of dismay, but as the two old friends spend a revelatory night in each other’s company, facts come to light that will enable him to piece his fractured life back together, and old wounds will finally be healed.
An AU set in Northern Ireland during the Troubles, and London in 2018.
This is a human AU that can be read as a stand-alone story without reference to the other works in the series.
All the World's a Stage by Ineffable lawr (M)
Agnes, Nutter, an eccentric director with an almost prophetic ability to create hit theatrical shows brings together a cast of wonderfully talented and unique actors to create a new production of "A Midsummer Night's Dream." Aziraphale is a classically trained method actor, known for being a bit of a diva, and Crowley is a musical theatre actor known for being a spontaneous and bold performer with a bit of a bad reputation. The journey from audition to opening night will be a rocky one, but they might just end up finding something wonderful.
no more unhandsome by Waywarder (M)
Aziraphale and their best friend Anathema are starting their own Shakespeare Company, and Aziraphale dreams of playing Rosalind in their inaugural production of As You Like It.
But then rival actor (and admitted flash bastard) Anthony J. Crowley shows up at auditions.
Welcome to the As You Like It-inspired Good Omens Shakespeare Company AU! Thanks for being here!
To The Stars by Fyre (T)
In 1999, a television programme aired that would quickly become a cult classic. 20 years on, join the crew of the NSS Galaxy Quest as they embark on the most exciting adventure of their lives.
Galaxy Quest AU - Update schedule - every Sunday
The Only One I Still Know How to See by Furuba_Fangirl (E)
Aziraphale has been an admirer of Anthony J. Crowley for years. However, the gap between audience member and stage actor begins to thin when they are given the chance to officially meet.
All's Fair in Love, War, and Show Business by sapphose (T)
Crowley is given one last chance to save his floundering acting career when he is offered a role in a new musical adaptation of the beloved book, "The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch." Unfortunately, he'll be acting opposite Aziraphale, the ex he hasn't spoken to in over a decade and with whom he is definitely not still in love. When Crowley's past comes back to haunt him, he and Aziraphale must decide whether to repeat their actions from years prior, or to take their unexpected second chance and try again.

Hi! Thanks for stopping by. My name is Navi, and I write some Zelink and do a lot of betaing. If you want to keep up with my work, you can follow me here or on Ao3.
Otherwise, here's a master list of my favorite works:
The Midnight Revelry. (Ch 11/11) A pre!Calamity Age of Calamity or Breath of the Wild Zelink fic. It's got masquerade balls and secret letters <3
Never Been Kissed: A Skyward Sword Zelink story.
Hyrule's First Couples Therapy: a post!totk therapy fic.
What We Thought: A pre!calamity Zelda steals some of Impa’s Sheikah garments to sneak from the castle. What will happen when her appointed knight sees a dark figure stealing away from his princess’s study?
And some of my favorite pieces to beta. Please give the authors all the love:
Long Series:
A Lullaby for a Princess by @wouldyoustilllovemeifiwasawyrm/ (Ch. 26/43) I'm absolutely obsessed with this fic. Link and Zelda marry post!TotK after rapidly getting pregnant. The emotions through this piece are intense, and I absolutely cannot wait to see how it ends up. (This series now also has a bunch of canon Linktober one-shots. Pay close attention to Wild Spirit, Wandering Spirits, Sheep Are Girls, and Brightblooms in the Well)
The Long and Winding Road by @flutefemme. (8/14) A Twilight Princess AU where Zelda is running from her mob boss ex Ganon and finds a home with Link and his son.
Pride and Prejudice by @shameless-fujoshi. (Ch 23/28) Firefighter!Link and Professor!Zelda meet and they don't quite hit it off at first. Can they reconcile their differences?
The Cage by @shameless-fujoshi. (Ch 32/32) Link is a cage fighter, and Zelda is a it is everything I didn't know I needed in a modern AU. Very weak for Link calling Zelda baby.
A Couple of Trials (73/100) by @kenlair. This massive wonderful series has been going on far longer than I even knew Zelink existed, but its a really fascinating telling of what Zelda and Link's life could have realistically looked like post!BotW. The worldbuilding elements are second to none.
One Shots/Short Series:
famous prophets (stars) by @korokposting. Pre!Calamity first kiss. The trans!Link characterization gives me such life.
A Flower Adorned Goddess by @oatmilkdrnkr. Pre!Calamity sweetness and fluff and absolutely adoring Link.
rubies, spicy peppers, and hylian shrooms by @angelicgarnet. Zelda working through her feelings about menstruation with a sprinkle of zelink goodness.
The Couple of Gracemas by @kenlair. It's a pre!Calamity Christmas special yall! Cute sweet moments between a teenaged couple with far too much on their shoulder, which a healthy sprinkle of angst.
silent princess by @korokposting. TotK -- Link's search for Zelda, and the flower that guided him. this piece is so lovely and sweet
you're too far away by @korokposting. Post!OoT, Link doesn't return to his childhood. A Shink story with lots of Sheik gender feels that are just...so phenomenal. Its breathtaking.
if i've lost you for good by @korokposting. Post!TotK, Link and Zelda confront the trauma of being chosen by Hylia. Grab the tissues and settle in. (And then probably read some of these kid fics after, bc it will emotionally destroy you.) Some of the finest writing on depression and mental health issues I've seen.
It Only Takes a Second by @shameless-fujoshi. Baby Zelly locks herself in the bath house while Link is on parent duty.
Swords and Naps by @shameless-fujoshi. It's time for baby Zelly to take a nap -- but not if she has anything to say about it! This adorable fic had me rolling.
Before Our Eyes by @shameless-fujoshi. This slice-of-life fic is a prime example of what she does best as Link coddles baby Zelly during a thunderstorm.
anti-curse by @korokposting. Link and Zelda's first kiss post!Calamity. I love first kiss fics and this one felt so tender, vulnerable and real. I've reread it so many times.
Entanglement by @shameless-fujoshi. Young parents Zelda and Link leave for Lurelin Village for their first vacation since they've had their baby. Zelda doesn't handle it well.

Life Series AU
Wrote some lore about the life series characters as Gods with Witchcraft SMP in mind. It got out of hand, and now I have a 1.4k story below.
As everyone knows, from the oldest, crankiest elder to the youngest, brightest toddler, magic is a part of this world as surely as Winter melts into Spring.
We can see it in people, like the illusionist who passed by the town with the circus group. In the wild, we can see it flitting between the trees, lighting up the world. It is in the ground, seeping up when it is called.
But we haven’t always had magic. Once, the only ones to possess it were the Gods.
Seventeen of them, each with a different domain. They lived in harmony, watching over the world., creating and destroying as they saw fit. Anytime they wished to meet, they met around the Watching Crystal. None of them knew what it was, only that if any of them died, it would store their powers and souls. Of course, they had varying ways of interaction with mortals. For instance, the Sky God liked to reveal himself to humans in the hope that they would worship him. He was a fickle god, that one. Or the God of Fire, who played deadly games with life-changing prizes.
Among them was the Starborne. He had perhaps the strangest and least explainable gift. He was the first prophet. Though he often advocated for humans to get a taste of divine magic, he was usually overruled.
One day, he had a vision. The Scarlet Witch, the harbinger of death, was standing in a clearing, ichor dripping from her scythes.
Now, the Scarlet Witch was an enigma to most of the others, almost never turning up to the meetings the other sixteen called. She was a grim woman who often laughed at the suffering of those around her. She was hard to get alone with, so most of the other Gods shunned her, with only three exceptions. The God of Emotions, also known as the patron of bakers, was sympathetic to her. The Lady of Time was her partner in chaos. And the Starborne was her closest friend, her confidant. If anyone was going to be on her side, he would.
When the Starborne received this vision of things to come, he naturally became scared. His trusted ally, who had a reputation for being unhinged, was going to kill another God. So he did what he always did, and sketched out what he had seen to flesh out all the important details.
The Sky God had been in a silly, goofy mood, so he decided he was going to snoop around. His first target: a certain prophet. He walked into the room where all the visions were gathered. And lo and behold: in the center of the pictures of prophecies, was the recently sketched vision, the one that foretold the death of at least one God.
This scared the Sky God. He had never liked the Scarlet Witch. She was always a little too chaotic, a little too bloody for his liking. So, he decided to make sure this prophecy wouldn’t come true. He called a meeting with as many Gods as he could. Under the light of the Watching Crystal, he wove the tale of what was to come. Seeing as the Scarlet Witch had not been invited, and the Starborne had not made an appearance, she had no warning of the prophecy. After gathering five of his most trusted friends, he went after her.
It was a close fight. It is said that the famous scar over the Scarlet Witch’s eye was made during that battle. None of the Gods that fought were weak. But the Scarlet Witch was Death itself, ready to collect a divine life at long last. The Canary, the god of luck, was the first to fall. Two more of them were slain before the Sky God called for a retreat that ultimately failed. The Queen of Shadows was cut down, and her husband followed soon after. The final attacker, the God of Chaos, died of his injuries soon after.
After that, she disappeared for a few years. Alone in a forest in the North, she had a lot of time to think, to reflect. She knew that if a God died, their powers would be stored in the Watching Crystal. And the seventeen - well, eleven now - of them were far from orderly. If there were fewer of them, they could rule more effectively. Besides, they could probably find a way to access the powers of the Gods who were deemed unfit through the Crystal. So she watched and waited for someone to find her. Death is patient, after all.
The other Gods were scared. The Scarlet Witch was one of the most formidable among them, and would not listen to anything they had to say. So, they decided to try and flush her out of hiding by using her best friend. Some of them wanted the Starborne dead, because their friends and loved ones were gone. Others wanted to use him as a hostage. So they went to his board of visions, where all of his visions were recorded. He would be there, after all. The Lady of Time tried to stall the others, back them down. But the desperation and fear had caught up to them, and they forced past her.
They went into the room he used, covered with notes and pictures and scattered papers. On the table in the center, they saw a picture. It was a mid action shot of the Starborne exploding in a rush of light. It is said that he was smiling. There was neither hide nor hair of him anywhere. So, they moved back to the search for the threat. And, one or two expeditions were successful. But they did not consider that anyone they sent was liable to death themselves.
The God of Illusions powers of persuasion couldn’t save him when he needed them the most. The God of Emotions was in the wrong place at the wrong time, and couldn’t back down his former friend. Then came three more deaths. Then the Scarlet Witch emerged from hiding to cut down two more.
Finally, the Lady of Time had enough. There were only four Gods left. Knowing that the Starborne would not be helpful in a fight, even if they could find him and convince him to help kill his best friend, the Lady banded together with the Runemaster to end the threat at last.
The Runemaster used his powers of Listening to find the Scarlet Witch. They both tracked her down to the forest where she had spent so much time. The three of them fought. It was a hard, bitter battle. In the end, ichor dripping from her scythes, the Scarlet Witch claimed a hard-earned victory.
She celebrated her success. There would be no more chaos now that it was just her. There would be no more wars, no more extortion of the mortals by any Gods. The only divine force would be Death, which would take without remorse.
Then she remembered that she was not alone. There was still one more God. And she knew just where to find him.
Nobody knows what would have happened if the Starborne had backed down. Maybe they would have ruled side by side. Maybe he would have been killed for lack of loyalty.
But when the Scarlet Witch went to the Watching Crystal to meet with the only being that could compare to her. The inside of the Crystal pulsed with moving lights, like the souls trapped inside were still alive, waiting to be released.
The Scarlet Witch went in there, sure she’d win again. But she was not up against a soul that wished to remain in this world. The Starborne believed that neither of them deserved life. He had been a coward who ran away instead of helping his friends, and their blood still stained the Witch’s red cloak. So he smiled as he activated his secret power. When he wished to die, he would explode, taking everything in the nearby radius down with him.
The Watching Crystal shattered, then fell down, down, down. The pieces scattered all across the lands, seeping magic into the earth. The magic of the Gods started to exhibit itself in nearby mortals, the first magic users.
But Gods do not die that easily, some say. There are whispers that they could be reborn, into mortal bodies like ours. We may be walking among them right now.
Of course, those are just myths. Nobody is that optimistic or pessimistic to believe in such tales. The Gods are dead. We all go to Death, even the Reaper herself.
Nobody knows why we do not have prophets. Maybe the Starborne decided not to pass down his gift, knowing the burden it placed upon the holder. But to this day, the magic of Death, necromancy, has been shunned from all parts of society. And in honor of the catalyst of this whole mess, we call ourselves witches.
So, if you ever see magic, remember how it got here and who it came from. Because every good thing has a price. This one was paid in divine blood.

I get bit often by weird AUs, so NA NA NA NA NA NA NA NA NA NA NA NA NA NA NA NA (you’re now) BATMOBILE!
… With the deaged Drift, Rodimus, and Megatron scenario.
You had thought you’d seen everything chaotic and absolutely batshit crazy. You’re on a giant spaceship with a crew of giant metal aliens searching for their version of the King Arthur’s Round Table, you had been given a major size increase that would either seen you worshiped or demonized in Earth’s ancient eras, two badass alien geniuses built you a sci-fi suit that would made all the space nerds weep and be the greatest wet dream/most nightmare fuel by Earth's militaries, and you’re the current caretaker of a sort-of-maybe prophet of a slumbering god who’s impulsive frat-boy doing his Best, a genocidal warlord with a heel-turn, and an ass-kicking spiritual guru with a bloody history of a hitman… that all deaged to metal toddlers.
You absolutely, for-sure, had cursed yourself with famous last words and some terrible spirit or god took it upon themselves to amp it up to another level.
Actually you can blame Rung since you, him, and the kids decided to visit a local temple when docked on a mechanical-friendly planet to refuel. It warms your heart that Megatron no longer is frightened by the open sky and Drift can tolerate people milling around them. Watching the kids interact with the icons of the triad deities of warcraft, justice, and hearth made you wish that you could have more time when you and Rung had a discussion on the mythos with a priestess as well as the Uncomfortable Truth of a human, no matter the size, lifespan is a hiccup compared to a Cybertronian..
Realistically, you know you’re on time-limit. All things die eventually, but Cybertronians have a better warranty than the standard human, even a giant one.
You went to bed in your pajamas, kissing the boys good night as they climbed onto the mattress, freshly cleaned and ready for cuddles before nodding off. Drift drooling on his favorite chewtoy in his corner, Roddy wiggled his way to his way to your side with Megs on the opposite.
You wake up, thinking that Megatron had placed your suit’s visor back on your face, but no, it’s your own, very improved vision. You understood that when you turn to look at the kids and immediately see text scroll across your zooming sight, especially as the HUD cheerily pings about Drift’s appointment in the medbay and if you would like to confirm it now.
You’re screaming. The kids are screaming. Drift bolts in a red and white streak for his hardest-to-reach hidey hole. Megatron and Rodimus pushed themselves deep into the closet, knocking down boxes, and scattering your shoes, their toys, and extra office supplies.
In your blind panic, your new vents close off and causes to overheat and crash into stasis in your rushed attempt to comm Ratchet with the communicator on the sidetable..
You wake up in the medbay. Again. Since Ratchet had actually barged his way into your rooms, breaking the door, when he could only hear muffled crying and terrified chirps and squeaks.
Megatron and Rodimus went with the medic with very little prompting, too frightened and subdued at another upheaval.
Ambulon had to fish out Drift with protective gear on his servos and forearm. Even with his own thick plating, the little racecar is still very much like a feral raccoon. Drift can and will attack mecha’s vulnerable parts and knows how to exactly bite down into hidden seams.
Of course, you also freak out because you can’t move since the immobilization assistance was used since they don’t know Mecha-You, only Human-You, and your human self is gone.
This lead to many, many tears, mainly you and quite a few from the kids, and soooo many questions. (Ratchet is too damn tired for these kinds of miracles. Like the fresh Pit is this? This was supposed to be his retirement send-off!)
If you thought that your giant form was big, then you’re goddamn titan now. It’s a bizarre feeling to tilt your head down when you’re speaking to Ratchet now as well as the majority of the Lost Light. With the strength to match as well.
Not only you can easily pick up the kids, all of them, in just one arm, you can easily heft up the mini-bots and throw them. You can fireman carry Ambulon now. Ambulon. As in the mech whose alt-mode is a fucking solid leg of pure metal and little else to support a combat gestalt of equally solid limbs.
It’s a learning curve on many levels. You can’t squeeze or shimmy your way across a horde of mecha, you don’t have hair anymore so it’s off-putting whenever you try to brush it out of the way and it’s none existent, EM fields are a mix of control and instinctiveness, it’s hard for you to level it “appropriately” when the most you can do is go-all-out (which disgruntles a lot of mechs but delights Tailgate) or tamp it completely down (which also disgruntles mechs).
All the kids can now ride on your new frame. Usually Roddy and Drift claims your shoulders while Megatron latches to your back.
One major upside is that the new body comes with a supercomputer brain. Not only your own mind stores all of your music library and podcasts, but you can literally download language primers, cheat-sheets, and instructions into said brain. The downside: Raging headaches from unifying your current life experience with the immediate access of acquired knowledge by a download chip.
It forces you to turn off all the lights, dull your auditory senses, and do a impromptu nap-time with the kids, but the tradeoff is never to be absolutely bamboozled by complicated, multi-paged instruction manuals and picking up dialects ridiculous fast, even when muddling through it.
Language is a different thing. While you can breeze through the Cybertronian scripts (You're not surprised that even advance aliens have the same ridiculous tropes in their steamy romance books. The virginal priest/naive soldier with a horn-dog Prime/High Guardian is really popular And the old classic barbarian/city-dweller trope..)
You already knew that Roddy is an absolute chatterbox, but it still takes you back that the squeaks and shrill notes are real words. Sometimes it’s easier to puzzle out what’s he’s saying with the mash of subglyphs he attached, sometimes you’re still very, very lost. Unfortunately, you don’t have a handy primer for the Nylon dialect, but it seems like Rodimus had a few caretakers from other cities: Iacon, Tarn, and Kalis.
Megatron doesn’t really speak. At least not with full words. The noises he makes are akin to emotionally-charged babble. Ratchet said he’ll expand his vocabulary eventually.
Drift is very basic. Monosyllabic words with bursts of sharp emphasis. Sometimes his hisses are just hisses.
You treat your armor as if it's clothes. You take off the layers of plating inside the comfort of your habsuite. And it’s a lot of plating. Heavy as well due to its density. Apparently, it’s not even the maximum weight of your frame-schematics, so you could load yourself up with all the pretty gadgets you want. In fact- (Brainstorm had to duck, cover, and run at that point since Ratchet threw quite a few wrenches to get the mad scientist out.)
Dark. Everything about your new body is absolutely dark. From helm to pedes to fingertips. Various shades of black. The only things that are visibly bright is your biolights and your newfound optics: white.
Even without the armature, you’re buff. Built like a brick shithouse, is what you are now.
You have no idea where the hell are the weapons systems, especially when you stare at all of the plating. You definitely one or several. And some sort of flight system since Skids had spooked you so bad that you launched yourself to the ceiling to find out that you also have some powerful magnets as well.
Maybe it’s because you can see the shape of your face in the mirror: the familiar smile, the curves of your lips and nose, the outline of your optics. It’s still you.
You also get taught that care and maintenance for adult frames are different from bitlets. Every now and then, adults should strip off their plating for a deep clean and a protoform check. Bitties, with their frames still developing, aren’t able to “take off” their armor since its securely attached to their protoform. It’s removable when they reach the mechling stage (adolescence).
There’s no privacy with your barnacle of a sunflower-miner. But he’s always happy to hop into the shower. Whereas the racecars would splash and roll around on the wet floor, you couldn’t figure out why Megatron would try to drag your clothes into the water. Seeing him happily wiping down one of the chest plates with a cleaning rag, it makes more sense now…

I guess I’m writing here again to get the hyperfixations out lol
Here’s an AU:
Supernatural ft. infamous hunters: the Oowada brothers, Daiya and Mondo. Daiya is the elder, more chill between the two while Mondo is the aggressive, but highly loyal little brother, both of them are damn good at their jobs with the help of the intelligent Chihiro Fujisaki gathering intelligence before every job. The brothers are famous for two things: getting the job done and the sounds of the revs of engines as they drive on their motorcycles (which if either even gets a scratch, oof, I feel bad for the guy that’ll be at the end of Mondo’s foot-).
Long story short, Mondo is bound for hell after making a deal to save Daiya’s life after both are hit by a truck coming back from a job and then, he was rescued by none other than an angel, Taka.
“My name is Kiyotaka and I am an angel of the lord.”
And whom Mondo’s first impression is a tight ass with a tight ass.
“Keep it in your pants, little bro.”
“Shut the fuck up, Daiya.”
Taka is tasked with watching over the Oowada brothers in preparation for the apocalypse, both of which are heavily involved as being the saviors or the destroyers of Earth as they know it.
AU also features Taka’s angelic brother Hiro who likes fiddling with human stuff, a rather goofy weapons maker in the form of the Oowadas’ friend Kazuichi and demonologists Sonia and Gundham. Not to mention the king of Hell Izuru and his human counterpart Hajime, the warlock Nagito and poor Makoto, who is now stuck as the prophet of the lord.

Fluff AU where Voldemort lost, good guys lived and prongsfoot pursue civilian professions. They still would be no less rock-stars in it than Weird Sisters. Pro Quidditch captain James aces it all with his shrewd playing strategies - Sirius attends all matches and makes outlandish cheering campaigns. Sirius studies how to destroy dark artifacts, writes books about it - James is most swooning and knowledgeable fan at his presentations. They would be legends AND so in love it’s disgusting. 😄
People watch James's quidditch matches and see famous scholar and cursebreaker Sirius Black fawning over him-- literal heart eyes and cheering anytime James does anything on the pitch.
People go to see Sirius give a lecture on his latest findings and- wait hold on, is that James Potter? The youngest quidditch captain in the last 3 centuries? What's he doing here, and why is he looking at Sirius like that?
I imagine it would be a beautiful misunderstanding for a while, people who are only vaguely aware of the two of them knowing each other. They get so confused to see Sirius and James attending all of these events, and it's only when people see them kiss and there's a photo of it in The Prophet that they connect the dots.
People that actually know them are like "How did none of you figure this out sooner. They always hang off of each other and constantly say how much they love the other. This was glaringly obvious since they were fifteen"

hi!!
i’d love to know about petty oneshot and the prof au please!!<3
hey kat!! ty for your ask, these are some of my fave fics 🥰
prof au is my shorthand for right back where we started from before i'd decided on a name😌 as i have a lot to say about the second fic i'll keep it short - it's a PoA au set in a world where sirius fled with harry to california in october 1981, and raised him there without ever contacting remus again. he comes back to hogwarts at the beginning of harry's third year to keep an eye on him seeing as people keep trying to kill him and dumbledore's doing fuck all about it teach law and ethics and low and behold.... who is also teaching at hogwarts this year....
petty oneshot is a fic @impishtubist bullied me into writing a while ago which i started writing then Life happened and i stopped writing for like a month and didn't finish it. but its a combo of petty anti-remadora fun (hence the name), harry learning to be an animagus, and sirius being a super famous ex-convict who constantly embarrasses his godson. its fun and silly and 💕 petty 💕 and i will absolutely finish it at some point
i bring to you (and imp) the humble offering of this snippet:
“Britain’s sexiest bachelor,” Remus said in a deeply amused voice, glancing up from the newspaper to raise an eyebrow at Sirius.
He smirked, digging out another segment of the grapefruit in front of him.
“What can I say Moony? It’s my rebellious, ex-convict charm. The public are enamoured.”
“Apparently so.”
They held each other's gazes for a moment, a crackle of electricity passing between them.
“I suppose you’re quite in demand,” Remus said mildly and glanced away to sip his tea. “As you’re such an eligible bachelor.”
Sirius’s lips quirked with a dangerous smile at the undercurrent in Remus’s voice. He cocked his head, surveying him with interest.
“Perhaps you want to stake your claim.”
Remus’s eyes held a mischievous sparkle. “I’m not too concerned.”
Heavy footsteps sounded from across the cottage and they looked up to see Harry appearing at the bottom of the stairs, hair somehow even more of a mess than usual and shrugging a satchel up onto his shoulder.
“You ready?” he asked them, walking over to the kitchen neatly marked off from the rest of the room by a tall, slightly splintered beam and the scrubbed wooden table where Sirius and Remus were currently sat.
“Just finishing breakfast,” Sirius told him, wrestling with another segment of grapefruit.
Harry tugged the satchel up his shoulder again, full of nervous energy.
“The shops won’t run out of ingredients, don’t worry,” Sirius reassured him.
“Here, Harry. Look at this,” Remus said, picking up the Prophet and handing it over. “Sirius is gracing the front cover again.”
Harry let out a moan of despair. “Oh my god,” he said, burying his face in his hand. Sirius grinned.
“Hey, you should be proud! Famous godfather.”
“Yeah, but famous like this!”
Remus chuckled, finishing his tea and getting up from the table. “Harry has to face the brunt of the public’s obsession with you, remember Pads.”
“This is all anyone’s gonna be talking about at school now,” Harry muttered, dropping the newspaper down on the kitchen counter.
Sirius scoffed. “I doubt that.”
He shot Remus a smile as he reached over to grab their plates, brushing his thigh affectionately as Remus moved back towards the sink.
“They’re all fucking in love with you!”
Remus chuckled as he passed Harry. “I sympathise, Harry. He was like this at school too.”
“Oi! It’s not like I was encouraging it – I was bloody obsessed with you for most of it!”
“I’m offended at the idea you’re not now.”
“Can we please get going,” Harry said, closing his eyes for a moment in embarrassment.
Sirius clapped his hands in excitement, jumping up from the table. “Today’s the day, Prongslet! Beginning of a beautiful journey.”
Harry grinned, leaning into his half-hug as Sirius headed over to the small hallway to grab his cloak.
“Hopefully a much shorter one than Sirius and your father’s,” Remus mused, tugging on his shoes.
“He’ll be an animagus in no time,” Sirius said confidently. “I’m passing on my expertise.”
Harry went to wait outside, almost bouncing on his toes with excitement, and Sirius paused to slide an arm around Remus’s waist and lean into his ear.
“I’m still obsessed with you now,” he told him in a low voice.
Remus hummed happily. “See… I said I had nothing to be concerned about.”

Seda's Encanto Fic List
The Madrigal In-Laws Series, aka the one with all of the OCs, lore, and el brujo loco. Info-dump post for that is here.
First Impressions of a Miracle - Agustín and his hapless parents - Philipe and Helena - stumble into a miracle, and are absolutely not prepared.
Better Tomorrows - Forty-ish years of a miracle through the eyes of Félix's uncle Roberto, aka the Encanto's emotional cornerstone.
(Mis)calculations - Doña Mercedes Guzmán, Mariano's abuela, has so many judgey opinions about so, so many people. Especially those absurd, pretentious Madrigals.
Final Reflections On A Miracle - On her deathbed, Agustín's mother thinks back on her life since arriving in the Encanto, and wonders exactly who the miracle is for.
A Prophet In His Own Land - The Big Bruno Fic, in which he keeps trying and mostly failing to find his place within both his family and his community.
Talk of the Town - WIP. Pepa's nerves are shot while she's pregnant with Antonio. This gives the rest of the kids a reason to make themselves scarce from Casita, spend time with their other families, and dig up dirt on their parents, Abuela, and that guy they can't talk about. Shenanigans ensue.
Damage Control - When the miracle's twentieth anniversary ends in violence, Félix does his best to smooth things over and make sense of it all. A visit with an old friend leaves him with the usual "more questions than answers". A Félix POV one-shot.
Apocrypha - post-canon stories also set in the In-Laws 'verse; so far the theme for these is ✨GAY✨
the same boy you've always known - WIP. Thirty years after leaving the Encanto, Padre José Guzmán returns with a new batch of refugees, a ton of emotional baggage, and a rekindled attraction to Bruno. Meanwhile, Bruno has a midlife crisis. The slashy romcom no one asked for but everyone needs.
Pollination - Isabela has a meet-cute Roberta "Bubo" Marquez, aka me spreading genderflip Bubo/Isa propaganda.
Fruition - Isabela and Bubo have A Moment among the lilypads.
Other Stuff - one-shots, collections, and other AUs
a slip of the mask - After the death of the Miracle, Julieta realizes she is angry. Her brother makes an easy - but also very complicated - target for that emotion.
A Star Is (Re)Born - Modern Celebrity AU. Everyone in the Madrigal family is famous, but historically Bruno has been notorious for all the wrong reasons. When a chance to revitalize his career presents itself, Mirabel encourages him to take it.
A Butterfly Flaps its Wings - WIP? My Encantober drabbles and ficlets.
Gently - Five times Bruno got squeezed too hard...and one time he didn't mind it.

Harry Potter as Slytherin 🐍 AU
- Harry is reserved, aloof, focused and smart
- He has a serious poker face because of his time at the Dursley so he hardly show emotions to anyone
- Hagrid, and Ron is sort of surprised that Harry was sorted to Slytherin nevertheless their relationship is the same, Hermione got sorted to Ravenclaw
- Harry is top of the class like Hermione, Master at every subject, His favorite is Transfiguration and Alchemy
- Unlike his 2 best friends, He finds Divination intriguing taught by Trelawney
- Draco wants to make friends with Harry because he is famous and his father Lucious thinks he is a future dark wizard since he is a Slytherin
- Harry isn't interested on making friends with a pureblood maniac like Draco or anyone in Slytherin because they are all egoistic bastards
- Harry doesn't get along with any Slytherin housemates
- Harry cast a harmful protective charm in his bed incase anyone tried to prank him (Draco tried and his finger got zapped)
- Harry prefers to read in the Library or study in the lake
- Bunch of Gryffindors tried to bully him but Harry easily turn them into rats while still reading his book, After that many students learned to never get in his way
- Harry reverse them back but give them a horrifying words to never disturb him again while studying for his test, they runaway but still hopes they can get their payback someday
- He is Slughorn's favorite student same as Hermione, much to Ron's displeasure (Just imagine he never retired and Snape is elsewhere)
- Harry never reveals to anyone about his life nor his parents are dead, he is a private person except for his friends
- Many girls finds Harry extremely handsome with his right eye lightning like scar (Removing the forehead scar to give him some menace)
- When he went to Flourish and Blotts to buy his books, and Gilderoy Lockhart pull him for a picture, Harry secretly destroyed the camera (Cofringo) after leaving the shop to prevent it for being put in the daily prophet, the cameraman think it magically overheated
- When Gilderoy started a duelling class session, one of the bully from Gryffindor were eager to get a chance of payback against Harry, but Harry defeats them again before they can move their wand
- Harry doesn't like Quidditch because it is a waste of time and energy that has no benefits for his study, Ron doesn't like his comment
- McGonagall and Flitwick like Harry because he is a master of their class of Transfiguration and Charms saying that 'he performs every advanced spells in one try easily' even at non-verbal spell better than Hermione
- Harry has a magic mirror that allowed him to communicate with Ron and Hermione
- When Lucious Malfoy meet Harry he wanted to see his scar properly by forcing to touch his hair but Harry cast Petrificus totalus on him, Arthur and the Weaselys was happy about it
- Harry cast a cursed on Rita Skeeter's hands when she write bad things about him and his friends in the daily prophet, Everytime she writes his name or anyone dearly close to him, Her hands start to have scars that said "I must not tell lies"
- Unlike Hermione, Harry is willing to help Ron on his schoolwork like answer his homework or let him copy on his exam ( If possible)
- Harry learned how to make 'Liquid Luck' and give it to Ron if he needed some confidence and luck in his quidditch match
- After defeating Voldemort and blah blah blah, He became Auror for 10 years and quit to become a Transfiguration Professor at Hogwarts,
- Years later he became the head of Slytherin house, Harry made sure to punish his Slytherin students equally if they cheat on Quidditch or do anything bad like bullying Muggle-borns (McGonagall is glad to have someone who can actually handle their Slytherin behaviors now)

I know I'm already writing a star trek au and I do think everyone's species in that makes sense and it's absolutely going somewhere trust me it's all in my head but. the more I think about it. and the more I think about that one fanart of bajoran-cardassian ed. the more sense I think THAT makes. because listen. there's occupation and subjugation by a stronger power. slavery. destruction of nature traditions etc. all supposedly for their good and the sake of 'civilisation'. there are also people fighting against it, resistance, strong faith, and persevering despite everything. sound familiar?
I can totally see ed's father being a cruel cardassian military officer who took his mother as one of his 'comfort women' and/or 'servants', and her being kind despite it all, surviving, loving her son and holding onto her beliefs in the prophets—to the point of telling him that clearly it's meant to be, we have to believe in what they plan for us, we're not meant to live like the cardassians do.
eventually, he kills his father and runs away to join a resistance cell. there he meets izzy, also a bajoran, a kid who was born into the fighting like kira nerys was, and it made him the way he is because there was no other way, no other life. later on, they get on a ship under hornigold, a leader of another cell that the cardassians definitely brand as 'terrorists', and continue attacking cardassians from space and make a name for themselves. by the time the occupation ends, they're famous for their actions—but also don't know what to do with themselves, now. ed would happily quit and settle down somewhere quiet, but not izzy. he wasn't born for peace. so he drags him down with him and they keep fighting cardassians even though it's over and eventually join the maquis. plenty of bajorans there.
cue stede bonnet, a starfleet defector! he got himself a ship and escaped a life he felt trapped in, and now he's free, fighting for a cause. with a small crew of weird and slightly incompetent (affectionate) people. olu is still betazoid, lucius is still denobulan, the swede is still human, frenchie is still trill, wee john is still caitian, pete is still an orion, but buttons, roach, and jim are all bajorans. the badmintons are a starfleet captain and admiral respectively, like in the first au. cardassians and starfleet are both after them. stede has a different idea of what it's like to be a resistance fighter though, and they still have the luxuries of a starfleet ship and are living the life. ed falls in love with him and the ship and his entire thing immediately. it's the new thing he was waiting for. izzy less so. he hates stede's attitude and thinking he knows what it's like. plus he doesn't think he can have anything nice, having grown up as he did.
when the last maquis are caught and the movement ends, stede and ed let themselves be captured and go to the new zealand (hehe) penal colony (like tom paris) and are ready to start over and serve starfleet when the 'sentence' is over because the dominion war is on now and they need people on ships. there are no issues with mary because stede was a starfleet officer and always away because of it and they probably got a divorce a while ago. he does space zoom calls with the children sometimes, and her too, there's no animosity, they just drifted apart. stede and ed probably run away though and don't join the war because there's been enough of that, and they take the crew and go somewhere remote and it's all good.
so yeah, that's a different, proper kind of star trek au that I'd like to write and probably will after I'm done with the space pirate one because the idea has taken root and apparently I'm not done with combining my hyperfixations together just yet!

Let’s Talk About the Orb

Summary:
Ayda's a famous researcher. Kristen's the prophet of Cassandra. Adaine's the oracle. You'd think that means they get to decide what they do because they have a lot of power, right? Sike. Please enjoy this little story about them escaping an elitist event to go hang in a cafe.
AO3 link here or use the read more down below. For the @dimension20bingo slot: famous AU.
There were many things Ayda Aguefort found fascinating. The effect of caffeine on different species. Why some spell components are more powerful than others. What the effect of heat is on specific plants. The list went on and on. But she didn’t care for small talk.
Now, she fully understood that in order to keep getting funding she had to keep presenting her findings to those who had gold coins to burn. That part was fine, she enjoyed standing in front of her holograms, confident in her full understanding of the subject. But the parties afterwards? Not so much.
After a few of those ridiculous parties full of small foods, elitist humanoids, and objectively ugly priceless art- Ayda made a friend. Or more, Kristen decided she was her friend.
Kristen Applebees, the first prophet of Cassandra, spoke regularly at these events. With her goddex at her beck and call, the elite could not deny the existence of this forgotten god. So instead they made sure she stuck with them. Kristen knew, though. She went to the events, ate all the tiny food she wanted, and spoke to everyone who seemed a little miserable.
Ayda had never seen anyone look as miserable as Adaine Abernant, the Oracle.
Kristen and Ayda had just been heading toward a plate filled with miniature tacos when they spotted some blonde hair peeking out from the top of a fern.
“Oh I gotta know what that’s about.” Kristen made a sharp turn towards the fern as Ayda Mage-handed some tacos. Might as well achieve both goals.
“Hi.” Kristen said to the fern. “Are you okay?”
The fern wiggled and an elf around Kristen’s age stepped out from behind it. Her hair had a few leaves sticking out and she grimaced. “Hello. Some of my parents’ friends are here. I despise them and they will endanger me if they spot me.”
“Endanger you?” Ayda repeated.
The blonde girl sighed and looked around, then snuck into one of the hallways. After exchanging a questioning look, Kristen and Ayda followed her.
“So, what’s up? I’m Kristen by the way.” She extended her hand.
“Adaine Abernant.” Adaine shook it.
“The Elven Oracle?” Ayda cocked her head.
Crossing her arms, she replied, “the Oracle. Elves cannot claim me for themselves, especially considering the fact that they tried to lock me up in an orb.”
“I’m sorry. The Oracle. I am Ayda Aguefort.” She held out her hand like Kristen had done, hoping it was still the correct move.
Wordlessly, Adaine shook it.
“So, you wanna get out of here? I know a cafe we can go to, you could explain the whole giant orb thing?” Kristen drew a circle in the air.
Ayda glanced back at her fellow researchers. Most of them were standing around in a little circle, coats in hand. If they were leaving, she’d be allowed to leave too.
“Can we just leave?” Adaine raised her eyebrows.
“There’s no specific end time on the invitation, so we can technically leave whenever we want.” She squared her shoulders and added, “what are they going to do, stop us?”
Adaine looked back once more. “Okay, let’s go. Don’t let the elves see me.”
After successfully smuggling Adaine out of the building, Kristen led them through a long series of narrow streets covered in colourful shops and posters. The pebbled walkway felt unfamiliar underneath Ayda’s feet but she didn’t want to risk being seen flying away from the event. She tried to keep a map of the area in her mind but the environment was too new to her and she stuck to trying to look at everything they passed.
Finally Kristen led them into a cafe with large windows, a few long pillows covering the windowsills where cats snoozed in the sunlight. In the corner there was a coffee bar with all sorts of treats. Behind the bar stood a girl with the sides of her head shaved and a whole set of piercings covered the length of her ears. When she looked up from her work, the girl winked at Kristen.
“Uhh,” Adaine started, seeming lost in the space.
“That’s my girlfriend, Tracker. She makes good coffee, I promise. Over there’s more quiet spaces if you want to borrow one of the books from the bookshelves.” Kristen pointed to a corner mostly taken up by cats, then to a towering library-grade bookshelf filled to the brim with colourful spines. “And if you want to see a fun performance- there we got Fig and Gorgug, they’re a band.” She waved to another corner.
Ayda followed all of Kristen’s pointing until she lay sight on who she presumed was Fig. A relatively short tiefling girl wearing ripped fishnets, a plaid skirt, and a crop top grinned wildly as she watched her friend do tricks with his drumsticks. “Fascinating,” she whispered to herself.
“What?”
“Nothing of importance.” Ayda turned her head back to her new friends.
Three minutes later, they sat in the music corner each with a large coffee and some cookies.
Kirsten picked up her mug. “So, let’s talk about the orb.”

....I come baring playlists and excessive amounts of explanation as to what's on them and why....
SO!!! I made three different playlists for All Night In Your Garden / The Musician AU!!! Because I can only do things in excess it seems!!! And I'm burdening you with all of them!!!
to start off, this is the one I made based on your answer to the ask about it, so I'm hoping it's the closest to your vision for it. it's 2hrs long and i spent an obscene amount of time trying to structure it properly (it even has an intermission section)!!!! i'm going to go through it song by song (even if I could and I want to) because that would take far too long. I will however, summarise it, to fulfil my burning need to over-explain myself at any give moment.
it's got most of the songs you talked about in your post: Berlin, The Prophet's Song, I Have Friends In Holy Spaces, Ghost Song, Subterranean Homesick Alien, Tragic Kingdom.
and then I had to fill in the spaces with other tracks:
Northern Downpour went with IHFIHS because they are holding hands and it would be wrong to split them up <3
To go with the "horrifying rawness" of Lou Reed, I got some Elliot Smith and two versions of Famous Blue Raincoat (Cohen's original and The Like's cover, because it's just !!!!!!!!!),
The Other Girl by The Young Veins is also there because of Reed but the connection is because the chorus section reminded me of Berlin (you're right and i'm wrong // hey babe i'm gonna miss you now that you're gone 🤝 you were right, I was wrong, like I always am and you always are)
Had to get some Paramore in the form of This Is Why (because the bass reminded me of Ghost Song, vaguely) and Playing God (amyrory core, cannot explain further)
On the anti-genre label....when Panic!'s first album came out, critics got *creative* with defining it's genre...a few of my favourite "genres" that came out of this were baroquemo, vaudevillian rock, theatrical folk, melodic dance rock and spiky dance pop, so with that in mind, I had to get in some A Fever You Can't Sweat Out tracks: Intermission (will talk more about it later) and There's A Good Reason... (Jazz-inspired Dark Cabaret, the lyrics are very...spiteful and fun, defo along the vibes of taunting someone or "bursting into somebody’s room uninvited or crashing a party")
PINK FLOYD!!! OBVIOUSLY!!! Wish You Were has more of that raw feeling, it's part of the intermission!!! Brain Damage and Childhood's End make appearances as well!!!
Bauhaus + Cocteau Twins are on there for more of that disordered sound. Spellbound by Siouxsie and the Banshees has similar vibes + reminds me of She's Lost Control by Joy Division for some weird reason.
FOR THE INTERMISSION SECTION!!!! (my favourite and most important section):
I've already touched on A Fever You Can't Sweat Out's presence on the playlist but it just...!!!! it falls in line with a lot of what you said!!! it's anti-genre, it's got radio transmissions, it's spiteful and angsty but also very well constructed for an album written by 18/19yr olds!!!!!
and all of this is culminated in the intermission track, it goes from the techno/dance inspired tracks on the first half of the album to the more orchestral pieces on the second half by transitioning into a piano piece with a scratchy radio transmission to mark the switch (Ladies and gentlemen, due to circumstances beyond our control, We are unable to continue our broadcast of dance music, We shall continue now with our piano instrumental) !!!!!!
BUT THAT'S NOT THE ONLY PART!!!!!
because you know what else has some scratchy radio type audio at the start!!! Wish You Were Here!!! I am firm in my belief that ANIYG would have this really messy intermission section to hide the most honest track of the album!!!! a song hidden in plain sight!!!
to close the intermission section, sandwiching WYWH in between to instrumentals, a piece from the Coraline soundtrack (The Fantastic Garden)!!!
I use a few tracks from Coraline to create the illusion of structure, so everything opens and closes with them!!!
there are loads of stuff I haven't talked about, because this is getting FAR TOO detailed for a spotify playlist that I made but whatever...this is a serious sport to me
(will link the other two some other time)
IVY HIIIIIIIII!!!! I let this sit in my inbox for a while because I didn't really wanna say goodbye to it, but it's raining here now and I'm listening to the playlist and going through my genetics notes AND WHAT BETTER TIME TO ANSWER THIS ASK?!?!?!?! I don't know how you managed to capture the sound from my head, but here we are!!! This is exactly what I imagined :"))) (was sooo fun to see Eleanor Rigby & Nowhere Man on the list because I have those albums on vinyl so whenever they come up on the playlist I request assistance from my record player :") Fun fact about Berlin!!!!! It was originally featured on Reed's debut album (the version you included!!!!!) but he eventually decided to just... make an entire album that's inspired by it AND named after it (which I have on vinyl as well, as of recent :") AND he had Berlin (The Song) come back as the first track on the album which is... well.... that's... very Cassandra Theory to me... (especially 'cause the album functions as a book, a common theme with Lou I wanted to put William Burroughs’s Beat-era novels and Ginsberg’s Howl into a rock song Reed) IT'S NOT EVEN THE ONLY SONG HE RESURRECTS ON BERLIN (THE ALBUM), BUT I'LL SHUT UP NOW and end the dad rock (even though this is technically mom rock in my case dhdjdjdkkd) rant with this:
Tumblr media
MALIBU!!!! SPACE ODDITY!!!!! BEEN A SON!!!!! SPELLBOUND!!!!!! SUNNY AFTERNOON!!!!! I CAN KEEP GOING!!!!!!
COHEN!!!!!!! <3 <3 <3 pink floyd <3 <3 <3 i love a weird old scratchy radio type audio moment <3 <3 <3
A SONG HIDDEN IN PLAIN SIGHT 🧡 CORALINE SOUNDTRACK 🧡
Idk Ivy, I just need those other two playlists asap... and if you have anything more to say on the subject 👀, please do <3

Royal AU With My OCs
I don't know why but I was in the car thinking about them in a royal AU so here it is >:3 also yes, royals are supposed to be related but screw that, I'll put them in the roles they fit most
A kingdom and a queendom with the mention of other places, that's the most backstory I'm gonna say teehee here are their roles
Lumi Kiona:
There are two options for her. The first option is that she is an royal scholar that got a promotion to become the queen's advisor. She would be seen as the advisor that knows everything. She's also caught up on a lot of stuff in the queendom and she's usually the one ensuring that the queen doesn't do anything dumb in her free time.
The other option for her is to be the heir to a crown in another queendom. She, however, had to be taken away from there because she was to be protected until she was old enough to rule without corruption from the enemy. This would also correlate with her role as an advisor, so she'd be the missing queen turned into an advisor for another queen.
Meditrina Rosas:
The queen. She's the one that had the crown handed to her because of the amlunt of stuff she's done in comparison to others. She is the one stepping forward to make all of the decisions. As ruler of her queendom, she makes sure that everything that must be done properly is done. She is known as the beautiful queen, yet her moniker as "the merciless queen" is not a lie. She has hired spies to go after the enemy and she does not hesitate in doing anything. Her course of action is always right, thanks to her advisors.
Of course, because she is the queen, she also gets to have time for herself. Supposedly, as queen, she is to take a king regent. She doesn't think about that because she is focused on being a good queen to her subjects. It does not mean, however, that she hasn't seen one of her advisors talk with the prophet about arranging something with a neighboring prince.
Gale Diebin:
The jester. As the jester, he is allowed to walk around with one of the royals in order to provide entertainment and of course, he chose the fire prince to entertain. In the public eye, they are merely the jester and the prince but behind doors, they are best friends.
Because they're best friends, Gale covers for the prince a lot in multiple things. If the prince wants to leave in the middle of the night without any bodyguards, he has to make an excuse. It's not amusing to him, but it is to the prince. He hates it but all for his best friend and for staying in the castle. However, it would not kill the prince to get him some of the queendom's famous chef's food while he's visiting. It's the least he can do for having Gale cover for him, right?
Ignis Colina:
The prince of another kingdom. He will never get the crown, unfortunately, but he doesn't need it. He doesn't want it either, he's too busy trying to have fun with his royal jester. But it doesn't mean that the team of advisors aren't furiously trying to do something with him so he makes a point of avoiding them at all times.
He likes to visit the queendom. He'll sometimes arrive at the queen's window and his jester covers for him while he's on his visits. As long as he will never get the crown, he can afford visiting somewhere else. His visits are frequent and it's a cute little scene up until the jester arrives and tells him, "WE GOTTA GO, STOP YOUR FLIRTING!" He's a good prince, I promise.
Iris Tartal:
Spy. She is part of the Black Rose Delegation, a group of spies that serve the queen and ensure that they are always in the shadows, protecting her and anyone else as deemed necessary. Her delegation does not have an official leader, but she's the one consistently risking her life to get information from the enemy. She's also better at making weapons than any of them.
She's good at making weapons so when she's not doing spy work, she's inventing stuff. This is why Iris is considered the treasure of the queendom, her inventions have contributed to the progress of it. She's also written several books under a code name. Her other pasttime is spending time annoying the chefs by stealing their sweets.
Navin Eitel:
The king of his own kingdom. He has recently gotten the position but the poor boy is terrified of being king. He doesn't know what to do or how to go about anything, which is why when a queen reached out to him kindly, he completely freaked out. Later on, he realized that she just wanted to give him advice.
He starts to get the hang of it after a while, but he's still nervous. He isn't as big and powerful as most kings but he's very smart and full of wits. He studies constantly and engages in conversations with his advisors to see how he can be a better king to his kingdom. There is no one who dislikes him, at least publicly.
Blanca Rosehearts:
Knight. In this AU, she's the princess that got bored of being the princess so she ran away to a queendom where she would never have to sit down and rule. She would much rather have that crown handed down to her younger sibling while she went out to protect someone else. As a knight, she grew in ranks and then she was to make her own Order of knights. Named the Order of Sapphires, she is in charge of that area of knights. They are the best of the best, trained under Blanca. She is the Knight Commander of this order and she tells everything to Valkyrie, who is the highest rank in the military.
Blanca refuses to have the title of princess stuck back to her so she does everything in her power to ensure no one sees her as the pretty princess. She wants to be a knight and she is one of the best knights, working hard to live up to her rank. She's also the knight that belongs to Colette.
Colette Laruvi:
Of course, she is a princess. She has been the one who has had to be protected her entire life, especially since there was a little incident when she was little and almost got herself killed. Titus ended up saving her, thus him becoming her bodyguard. She's not involved with the politics of the queendom as much as the queen is, but she is not ignorant.
She sometimes goes into the public under a disguise because she wants to see everything, and she drags Titus along with her. Blanca sometimes goes with them and they're chattering about the best foods in town and the best designs that there are. She enjoys the bustling outside rather than staying indoors all the time.
Titus Verano:
He's a bodyguard to Colette. He protects her alongside Blanca, the only difference is that Blanca is a knight to Colette is specific events and he is her bodyguard full time. They have gotten really close yet he's the one trying to stick to protocol around her, even though she constantly keeps dropping hints. He is also dragged around into difficult situations constantly, against his own will.
He's a great bodyguard because he's really intimidating from his height alone. He's been Colette's bodyguard since the age of 10 and they've been childhood friends since she has little. She confides in him and he watches over her. He is not the bodyguard of any other royal, he is specifically put as Colette's.
Astro Basilico:
The prophet. It's surprising, but every royal household in a magical world has a prophet. He is the one that has studied the stars to the point where he is known throughout every land as the Golden Prophet. His prophecies almost always come true. Fortunately, he is not possessed by any kind of spirit, so it's not as though he will spill a prophecy at dinnertime. But when it is urgent, he will say it.
He is also a duke, in more royal terms. So you can imagine the reactions of everyone when they realize that their duke can also do prohecies for them. No, he cannot read your palm or do tarot readings, he can do rock readings though! He'll throw rocks at the ground and decipher them, they're super accurate too, it's terrifying.
Valkyrie Xenaria:
She would have been put as a commander of her own army, but after being the top in all her classes and the reason why the queendom has not fallen, she had a rank that no one else had received, courtesy of the queen. This rank was established as the Sovereign Chief Commander, also called the SCC for short. As the SCC, her job is to ensure that all of the areas of the military would report back to her. All disturbances would reach her.
She is in charge of the knights as well, making sure that their training regime is especially altered to ensure that the highest protection is given to the royals. Valkyrie is aware of everything that goes on around her at all times and everyone knows that her word is practically law. No knights are to train different than what she was said, no moves are to be made against the enemy, nothing is done until Valkyrie has chosen what the best course of action is. After all, she is the one who had to take a different rank because of how good she was at what she did.
Onyx Nysalis:
Head chef. He's incredible at cooking and he's the one that ensures that the royals have nothing more than the best to eat. As the head chef, he's also the one making sure that not only the royals eat, the knights get to eat just as good food. The spies? He prepares special food for them and always leaves little notes on the food.
He's the kind of chef that actually makes lunch boxes for the knights and spies and they always have cute notes inside of them. The royals don't even dispute this with him, they think it's a great touch. Onyx is highly respected as the head chef and even though he can take care of himself, there's a silent pact amongst everyone to protect him at all costs.
