Gale is so fun to write he has such a good Voice

Gale: You’ve quite a skilled hand for constructs such as these. A fascinating skill- and even more fascinating to watch you work.

Dotty: I used to be a lot better at it when i was younger. I sort dropped the hobby after my um my engagement….

Gale: Judging by your tone I suspect its not a happy affair. I apologize if I’ve dredged up any unpleasant memories.

Dotty: Oh no it’s alright, it was a while ago so… I was engaged to a man, Luca, a member of the zhentarim but i didn’t know that at the time. I thought just he was charming, flattering, kind, and he- thought I was a perfect first rung in his social climb

Dotty: He was able to rub elbows with all sorts of important people while on my arm and eventually he found a match that was more - beneficial to his rising statues.

Dotty: He didnt even do me the decency of ending things in person.

Dotty: Oh not that I hold any ill will of course! This sort of thing happens all the time in high society. Everything is quid pro quo and it’s not like i have much to offer other than my name…

Gale: Perhaps I risk overstepping commenting on personal matters such as these but,, this man is a damnable fool if hes so quick to squander your affections.

Gale: In the short time Ive spent with you ive known you to be endless kind, incredibly generous, caring, resourceful, and quick witted. Whatever soul manages to catch your attention should consider themselves very lucky indeed.

Gale: You are as vast and as wondrous as the night sky itself.

I really need to write a fic where Glinda sees Dorothy and goes "yup. You're my child now." And then after a torturing slowburn her and the wicked witch get together so Dorothy has aunt Em and Uncle Henry at home, and whenever she goes to Oz she has her witch lesbian moms waiting for her.

hello here's my wizard of oz + wicked art so far 💖

as you see they're my own versions of a AU in my head but they're heavily based on a mashup of the MGM 1939 movie + of the wicked musical show because i RLLY love the wicked witches, but i'm getting into the respective books and other adaptations <3 im tentatively posting on tumblr to see if there are other people interested or if its all faded into obscurity, hope we can get along.

The cobblestone floor was melded around his left ankle, pinning him to the ground. He reaches back, tries to peel the stone away with his fingernails, but it’s like trying to pry up the Earth itself; a futile waste of time. Footsteps approach. Gale slowly, slowly, looks up. Above him, Egan is panting. He’s sweating, curly hair starting to stick to his forehead, and there’s an infuriating, amused smile on his pretty face. Gale looks up into that enchantress grin and hates him immensely. “Stuck, are we?” The witch quips lightly, and Gale grinds his teeth. He braces his hands against his thigh, begins to push himself up to standing, but as he gets half-way an unseen power forces him back to his knees. “Let me go,” Gale says through clenched teeth, all the calm of a sandstorm. Egan preens. “Say please.” I am going to tear you apart, Gale thinks. He says: “coward.” It does nothing to wipe the smile from Egan’s face. He crouches down, balances on the balls of his feet in front of him, and tips his head, regarding. “I find you witch hunters much more agreeable on your knees.”
