Hey everyone!

We are all very proud of the gaming channel stream raising such a large sum for the PCRF. Many congratulations to everyone involved!

However, not to lose sight of discussions we had been having before the stream, I have drafted an email to the managers of the gaming channel and the AmazingPhil channel (with help from @goldenpinof ) to raise concerns about recent sponsorships, in particular the Audible (parent company Amazon) sponsorship, which is currently part of the pressure targets for BDS in addition to the many other issues with this corporation.

This is not a call for starting a public accountability process, simply a registering of our concerns in the hopes that such sponsorships will not be platformed in the future. We are collecting signatories for the letter through this form, which also has a draft of the letter at the beginning for your perusal:

We are collecting stories about Covid conversations to publish in an online anthology, and we want to hear from you. We know firsthand how difficult it is to talk to others about Covid mitigations, and how fraught these convos can be. We are aiming to collect stories from Covid-conscious people who have had these tough conversations and are willing to share some reflections. We want to create space for people to process feelings about these experiences, vent, reflect, and be heard. We also want to create space for all of us to learn from one another and process this ongoing collective trauma, this ongoing grief.

Hiya! I’m Issy, a gcse photography student, and I am doing my exam work on neurodivergence, mental health, and how they link.

To do this to the best of my ability, I am going to be doing some writing to go alongside the photos, and this is where you come in!! Hey there! I hope everyone’s week was pleasant and not too stressful. Here are the end-of-the-week announcements with a special announcement at the end! 

Theme of the week (TOW) and Next Week: Self-Identity with an Eating Disorder

Thank you to those who read and benefitted from this week's theme as well as gave feedback on it! I appreciate you all and I hope to have positively impacted the way you view eating disorders and self-identity. 

Next week's theme will be a little light: social life and eating disorders. So stay tuned for that!🧡✨

✨SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT✨

Some other people, including myself, who are a part of the community have decided to start a discord server with future paid positions in mind. For now, it is only volunteer-based but we are working on getting grants. Our purpose is to positively change the stigmas around eating disorders and dismantle the toxic communities that glorify them. 

We wanted to give the opportunity to people who also want to positively change this by opening positions for: DISCORD MODERATORS

Please know an important statement: You can not force change within a person. That being said, the very least we can do is create a positive environment for change and support. 

APPLICATIONS: 

At the bottom of this post is a link to the Google form for the application. 

Requirements:

Must be 18+

Must have a Tumblr AND Discord account.

Both accounts must be at least 18 months old 

This is to filter out any spam accounts

It is preferred if you already follow this account but this does not affect chances. We only care about the genuineness of responses.

Whatever background questions are not on there are questions we did not think were relevant.
