Say hello to Bernie! I've had him for a year now, and I'm happy to introduce him to you!!

W/ text and w/o text. This ref was made in January '22, so it’s not the best artwork I have.

Details about him below. Some things may not be included from my oc book on wattpad due to this being a summarization. PS, several descriptions have been changed, and might be changed on my wattpad to be more accurate.

Bernard "Bernie" D'acquisto - Male, Cyborg, Attorney at law.

Normally seen as snarky, frigid, and overbearing by prosecutors who've faced off against him, he's known as "The Impenetrable Indigo Wall", or "The Blue Wall" or even "Bass Dropper" for how heavy he lays his evidence and reasoning against his opponents.

However, outside of court, he is almost notorious for how socially inept he is, and how oddly kind he is, especially when he doesn't realize it. He does not have any trouble communicating, but it's well-known that he can get flustered easily if messed with right.

... He would like to be your friend too. Please be nice to him.

Currently 23 years old, 250 centimeters (8''2, 98.4 inches, rounded). Speaks English, but uses a translator for other languages. His in-game voice (if he ever is even featured in a mod lol) would be similar to Ruvyzvat's, except more elegant and somewhat robotic, to fit the titles he's been given.

━━ Summarized Biography (boring) ━━

Born to an unknown family, he was doomed to die as a failed childbirth within the few minutes he could live, due to his body being too weak to support him, and his head being too small. He was then saved by the top doctor at the time, Ritto von D'acquisto who readjusted his body and replaced his head and neck, all the while keeping him alive with his... black magic. Bernard's biological parents refused to accept him due to him being 'the robot monstrosity they never wanted'.

And so, Ritto took him in and gave him the name: ''Bernard'' along with giving him his last name, ''D'acquisto''. Bernard stayed with Ritto for the first two years of his life, before then living with Ritsu, who would be considered his uncle.

Bernard had lots of trouble at first in school due to being socially crippled and inept, but with the help of Boyfriend, he was able to open up bit by bit and make many friends, such as Gladwyn Griffin, and other fellow students.

After a... falling out (lets just call it that) between the three in high school, the three refused to communicate to each other, (or rather, Bernard didn't want to communicate with Gladwyn, and vice versa. You mind as well say Gladwyn's hatred is as powerful as a tyrannosaurus rex.) unless they were communicating with Boyfriend.

Meanwhile, Bernard was inspired by his uncle to pursue the profession of a lawyer, and after graduating high school, went to a law school to pass the bar exam. At that school, he met Kyuunolo Nimbus (not related to the nice weather lady), a man as stubborn as his cloud-locks were thick. They were like stubborn rivals to each other, each not giving in to each other's intellect, no matter how intense the assignment was. However, week by week, month by month, they slowly started to grow in proximity of one another, and were forced to besties. However, after they graduated, Kyuunolo announced to Bernard that he was going to be returning to Germany to become a detective. Their goodbye... makes me cry! Oh, and they cried too.

Years later, Bernard accepts a case from the 'next fashion sensation' Fuchsia Mizzta regarding her sister: Aubrey City, which happens to be a homicide case. Little did Bernard know that his journey would bring him to reunite with all whom he considered friend...

Fun fact section (yyaaayaayyay)

Bernard doesn't swallow through his throat most of the time, he swallows through his tubes. He can swallow through his neck, but if the amount is too big for it, it... spurts out a little blood, and hurts like hell.

Bernard doesn't know how he feels with his parents. He says that he hates them for how 'cruel and country-bumpkin they are', but really is conflicted with himself.

Bernard severely misses hanging out with Gladwyn and Boyfriend like old times.

Says he hates Kyuunolo, but really does cherish and miss him sometimes.

Very self-concsious about his human parts when communicating with fellow robotizens. He worries that he cannot connect with them if he isn't as 'robot' as they are.

Vice versa with humans. ^ he really just wants to be accepted for who he is, okay?

He's really subconsciously protective of Boyfriend, due to them being childhood friends and having doubts about the girl he's dating.

His skin was influenced when Ritto tried to keep him alive, which is why it's mostly pitch-black with gray stripes and patterns.

His eyebrows are 3d, despite being shown on his monitored. However, your hand would phase through them.

If Bernard experiences too many emotions at once, or is overwhelmed by one or several, an 'Emotional Override' occurs, which causes his neck to explode with blood. It hurts terribly, but can regenerate after an hour or so.

His television-head has many compartments-- such as switching to certain TV stations/channels (i.e. news, cartoons, telenovelas), and most importantly, the Soul Soother. Look down here for more infoooo.

His Soul Soother is a feature that allows him to connect to one's 'soul' or more specifically their mind, and can broadcast their thought to the court or anyone in close proximity, along with materializing them into concrete images for Bernard to point out contradictions in. He can only connect to one person, or he will faint from exhaustion. His Soul Soother also enables him to be more sensitive to emotions around him, and is similar to a lie detector. something so fucked up about Chat Noir’s whole deal is that he is in a lot of ways Adrien playing a character. Like Adrien picked up his miraculous and was told he’d be a superhero so he was like “ok, time to act like a superhero!” and he lets himself have fun w it and play up the role and let loose and kind of just allow himself to be silly and goofy and have fun and for once in his life not care about performing Perfection™.

But. But none of the other characters KNOW THAT. So everyone just sees Chat Noir and is like “look at this guy’s ego. He’s so full of himself. Surely it’d be fair to knock him down a few pegs” without being aware of how few pegs he actually HAS. He’s like the “insecure character who overcompensates in ego” trope except he’s really not doing it unironically, he’s just having a fun LARP pretending to have self worth in his off-hours but nobody else is on the same page about it being a game and he refuses to tell them. He just dramatically pouts about it and lets them laugh and pretends like he’s not internalizing it and it is almost 3 am and my brain forced me to write this instead of sleeping I’m gonna take a melatonin

currently thinking of Art watching his latest match on tv to see the mistakes he has done and how he can improve: he is sitting with his bare back comfortably resting against the cushion of the couch, arms crossed against his chest and legs slightly spread and if it wasn't for his eyes fixed on the TV, his eyebrows furrowed and his lips forming a thin line you wouldn't have never guessed he was so focused.

You were watching him from the door of the living room with his shirt on and slighlty disheveled hair tucked behind your ears, your lips curled into a smile while the fingers of your right hand unconsciously went to play with the engagement ring on the left one. Your eyes followed your own movements for a few seconds before hearing a soft rustle against the fabric of the couch that brought you to look at your fiancé again, he was still looking the tv but his lips were shaped into a small smile and his arms were uncrossed, one tapping against his thigh repeatedly and the other laid out on the cushions for you to take. You swiftly padded towards him and took his left hand in yours, letting him help you climb on his lap like it was the hardest thing you had to do; he kissed your hand before letting you unwrap yours from his to let you hug his neck with both arms, your head falling in between them and against his throat while he caressed your thighs with both hands, your chests pressed together and your legs on both sides of him. 

You both stayed silent for a few minutes, the tennis ball being hit over and over and the claps of the people on the tv were the only sounds you could hear along with the gentle breathing of Art under you. 

“You did great today” you mumbled against his throat before kissing it. 

“Only because you were there” he replied, his hands moving in up and down motions on your legs “didn’t feel like losing in front of you” you smiled and leaned back to look at him. 

“You would have been great even then” he finally teared away his eyes from the tv and looked at you, eyes softening seeing your messy hair and droopy eyes caused by the two hours nap you two had.

“I think you're slightly biased” he teased and, while you reached behind you to take the remote from the table in front of the couch, his hands wrapped around your middle to prevent you from falling.

You paused the match “I’m just honest, the fact that I’m your fiancée doesn’t have anything to do with my opinion about your game” you turned back to him and combed his blond hair with your fingers. 

“Sure it doesn’t” he sarcastically mumbled while his head dropped against your chest in a relaxed way, his arms squeezing around you even tighter making your back arch and chest press more against his face. 

“What do you want to eat? I was thinking we could stay here and order takeaway” your fingers massaged the nape of his neck and head. 

“Hamburger sounds nice” he mumbled sleepily and you chuckled. 

“You'll have to keep this from your nutritionist” a groan came out of his mouth and a mumbled ‘let’s not talk about my job anymore’ vibrated in your chest. 

“I'll have to find a way to burn the calories quickly though, any idea?" He playfully bit your neck, you trembled taking his face between your hands “i might have a few...” and started to kiss all his face except his lips while he sat there with his eyes semi-closed, his head nuzzled the palm of your left hand. 

“You’re so pretty” he whispered “i really want to kiss you right now” goosebumps took all over your body and your heart missed a beat, he knew what effect this phrase had on you… it was the same one he said before your first kiss. 

For a moment you went back to 7 years before in your college days: when you were pressed between the passenger door of his car and his body after a walk on the beach, his jacket wrapped around your shoulders and your high-heels in one of his hands while the other had your fingers tangled together, and he whispered the same phrase that made your heart jump and goosebumps rise in the same way it did now. 

“Please do” and he did.
