Your howl fics are amazing!! I am so happy someone writes for Howl and Male and GN readers! :) Thank you so much.

Can I request a Howl x Male reader, where Howl is dealing with his own problems and is getting more annoyed by the minute, so when the reader comes to him with a small problem (like maybe they ran out of some magic ingredient idrk T~T), he just couldn't add a new problem to his list and snaps. He takes his anger out on the reader.

When this happens to me I usually snap, then go somewhere and come back home to sleep and forget about what I did when I snapped till the next day.

Maybe this can happen with Howl? Like the next day, when the reader is scared to talk to him he remembers what he did and comforts the reader.

Sorry if this is too long, I had ideas for Howl for so long but I can't write them out ;-; So you're like a miracle to me.

At the current moment, you were trying to make a potion that would help Howl recover less painfully after his little trips through space and time. That specific wizard was sitting at the table with his eyes closed and the bags under his eyes rather prominent.

You worried your bottom lip between your teeth. You couldn't find a certain ingredient you needed and Markl was out. You'd have to ask Howl.

"Eh- Howl?" Your voice started quiet. You fiddled with the hem of your shirt. "Uh, Y/n? Y/n, kid, you shouldn't do that!" Calcifer warned from the fireplace. "I don't know where the dried maple flowers are! And I doubt you know." You countered.

"Howl, sweetheart, I'm sorry but-" You just barely touched his shoulder when he jumped up. "Fuck off, Y/n!! Why do you have to be so fucking annoying?!" He yelled, his eyes full of rage.

You flinched back, eyes wide. You quickly left the room, leaving the ingredients by the fireplace. Abandoned. "Howl.." Calcifer sighed. They both looked after you with mixed emotions. "You don't deserve that boy. Never did."

~Next Day~~

The morning fell around and you woke with some difficulty. Your face was red from crying and you were glad that there was more than one bathroom in this castle.

You washed your face and listened carefully for any signs that anyone was around. None. You slipped from the tiles onto the wood and were met with the glittering eyes of Markl. "Hey, Uncle Y/n, I was wondering- Wait are you okay?" He asked.

You nodded. " 'Course. What's up?" He shook his head. "Nevermind. I'll be right back! I have to do something real quick." Markl ran off down the hall, his red hair floofing out a crazily.

You gave s small smile before turning around and being met with sapphire eyes. Your face fell and you suddenly felt scared. "Wait, Y/n, please don't go." The desperation in his voice startled you. You looked back up at him.

"Y/n.. Darling, I'm sorry. I really am." His voice was quiet, like you'd never heard it before. "..." He raised a gentle hand and brushed a stray lock of hair from in front of your eyes.

"I was just..." He seemed to be struggling with his words. "Angry. Frustrated. Overworked." You finished for him. Howl nodded slowly. "Forgive me?" His voice was no higher than a whisper now.

You thought for a moment, gently intertwining your fingers together. "Sure. But this is your one and only free pass. You kissed him softly, no more than a peck. "Do you still love me, at least?" You blinked. Then giggled. "Of course, you moron."

He swept you up in his arms before bringing you to bed. Howl buried his face in your chest and restricted most of your movement. You twirled a finger through his hair.

The door opened, just an inch. And a hand came through with a handmade craft. Markl placed his little gift on the dresser and left, thinking he was unseen completely. You chuckled. How darling.

Never get too comfortable and never get used to anything.

As cozy as the house was, he was changing it to how he liked at that moment.

It would become a maze of new rooms and halls.

Calcifer and Markl were both a lovely chat.

But, you could only talk about so much within an ever moving home.

Sure, you've made a few acquaintanceships, but never more than that.

You didn't have enough time to make friends anyways

You would leave town as fast as you came in.

Appearing one night then disappearing the next.

And the excitement of it disappeared just as quick.

Realization only hit quicker.

What was it that made them different?

Maybe thats why he's always running away

Being around too long would make too much of an attachment

That means commitment

It means it's no longer just him

Everyone could see he was gonna end up hurt

Yet, you were the wrong one

He's was in love couldn't you see

You wanted this to happen, didn't you?

For him to settle down?

You always said to slow down

Why was it an issue now?

You have over stayed your welcome.

Silence lingered in the room

The ever so witty fire demon was at a lost for words even

All he could do was watch as you turned away from him and walked to your room.

He watched the ground as you walked away and slammed the door.

He was about to let out a sigh before a second slam followed again.

This time a few steps away

"porthaven door..."

He watched the door in surprise, the dial clicking into place.

sighing finally he turned to the stairs

"Calcifer, warm up a bath"

Step 5: A fool only learns after they have lost themselves

He was sure you would be back the next morning

You always came back, even when he was clearly in the wrong

Even when he would spew hateful words at you for the littlest of thing

You always came back

But when morning came, the castle was as still as it was left the night before.

He, with those piercing eyes, gaze up at you from beneath.

You haven't seen grass in almost a month now.

It was near impossible to find windows or doors that led to the outside in the ever-changing architecture of his palace. Hallways, winding like the arteries and veins in his heart. Walls creaking and compressing like lungs, and a never-ending fireplace burbling and roaring like a stomach. The palace seemed to be alive, and he was intent on keeping you within it.

Today was different, though. That feeling of constant movement stopped, and in this eerie, uncomfortable stillness, a door creaks, and you feel cold hair brush against your cheek. You expect to see him there, used to him seemingly appearing out of thin air, but you're greeted by empty space. Goosebumps scatter all over the surface of your skin. Your head turns to follow wherever the source of the noise was, and, in all of its literal absurdity, a door is there. It sounds ridiculous, but it was the last thing you expected to see. Your hands have gone clammy and damp.

You felt very bare. Like a million eyes were watching you, to see if you would act on the appearance of an exit. You freeze, and for a few moments, you think about what to do. But with each passing second, it felt like the palace was getting more and more suffocating, more and more intent on trying to constrict you. You finalized with the thought that it'd be better to push your luck instead of staying here, with these walls that wanted to cage you in.

As you grasped the uncomfortably warm door handle, you wondered where he was... Was he behind you, watching every action? You turned to check. Nothing. Could he be studying at the library? Still asleep in his bedroom? It's possible he was in some new room in the palace you didn't even know about yet. You almost expected him to lunge at you the moment you were to open this door.

You decide you'd be as good as a prisoner forever if you were to ignore this chance, so you turn the knob, and push the wooden door open.

The flood of sunlight makes your eyes sting, but you can't help but smile. It's warm, you can smell wet dirt, and it feels like you're home again. It's been such a long time.

You blink the ache away, and as your vision clears and settles, you can make out a large, swath of green under a clear, blue sky. A large tree stands out dramatically against the otherwise plain field, and beneath it, laying on the lush carpet of greenery, was him.

You can see the grass once more. The wind is howling in your ears.

hey! this is a series i decided to start which is based off of a dream i had, which was basically howl's moving castle, but in a slavic setting and he's creepy LOL. the way this will work is, i'll post a painting with a short piece of writing underneath, and with each post (however, not in chronological order, so it's up to you guys to put it together, hoho..), more and more of the story between you and him will be unraveled!

Angst? Happy ending

Lowercase when words should be uppercase is probably common. As well as there is probably incorrect punctuation.

Big ass paragraphs as well.

Went to look at my drafts and saw this calling my name.

It was peaceful and quiet. Calcifer's fire makes the room feel warm, cozy, and safe. You don't wake up because of the quietness, you wake up because there is no chaos hell even Calcifer isn't talking up a storm.

Howl had a break down earlier and ran off somewhere you were waiting for him, lately every time something doesn't go his way it seems to set off a bomb inside of him. He isn't the best with expressing his feelings all you wish he would do is talk it out as a normal couple. Though it is better than screaming at you and having to clean up the green goo.

As you toss another log to calcifer even though he already has three, you sit back on the rocking chair, and you wait hoping to hear the click. You want to see his face; you want to scream at him, you want to be angry at him, you want to ignore him, give him the silent treatment when he tries to act like nothing happened, but who are you fooling to think you'll just ignore him.

You hear the wheel click at least you thought you did. It could be anyone though. Was it Sofie? She's a sweet girl, but lately she's been working on her hat business. Plus it was too late for her to be coming here. You've tucked Markl into bed already. Even though he claims he's a big boy that can take care of himself, he still loves it when you tuck him in, read him a story, give him a kiss on the forehead, and wish him sweet dreams as you shut his door.

You start to feel drowsy so you get off the rocking chair and give calcifer another log, even though he insists he will be good for the log. You tell him it's a treat, to think of it as a thank you for keeping you company, and keeping you warm. While you walk up to the table you pick a plate and lay it on the table, and you grab a box of some pastries you got early from a bakery. The ladies there were so sweet and kind it made you smile a little while setting some on the plate for when he returns.

You close the box and leave the box on the counter, not on a shelf too high in case Markl wakes up in the night, and wants a quick snack before he goes back to bed. You rinse and dry your hands off and walk upstairs, but not without saying goodnight Calcifer. As you lay on the bed you stare up at the ceiling where clocks stare back at you. You know this isn't a healthy relationship. Yes fights are common in relationships healthy or not. Not being able to talk about them because your partner is having a tantrum, and you have no clue where he is not normal

You want to set boundaries no you need to. You can't be the only one wanting to make this work out. You hear the door open and hear Calcifer screaming, "WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN? DO YOU KNOW HOW WORRIED M/N WAS?" There was no point it was a cycle. After Howl comes back home from wherever he decided to head off to. He ignores Calcifer, heads upstairs takes a shower and comes to lay down in bed with you. You start to fall asleep but then you feel a body next to you hugging you from behind. You try to ignore it as he always does this but then you feel him start to cry. You feel shocked because he usually just passes out, but this is new.

"m/n.." he mumbles in-between your shirt and his hiccups. "I'm sorry... I'm sorry. What I'm doing is wrong..I want to break out of those habits...but I can't it's hard. It's not right for me to drag you with me. Please let me make it up to you." He says as he buries his head deeper into your back and holds onto you tighter. So you tap his arms signaling him to let go, he does as well as scooting back to give you some space. You turn to face him seeing your tear stained face hurts you. You always hated seeing Howl cry. You cup his face and nuzzle noses together.

"Howl, yes I am upset you keep running away instead of talking this out like adults. I want you to try to stop doing it, I know it won't happen right away as it's a cycle for you, but I want you to try to break that cycle." You say as you pet his hair and move his hair out the way to give him a forehead kiss. His eyes widden and start filling up with tears and he buries his head in your chest. You pet his hair as his body shakes.

"I love you Howl and I want us to work, but it takes two. We will talk more later in the morning. I want us to set boundaries, I want you to tell me what's a clear no in your book, and what's in mine. Let's rest for now, but I want you to know I love you very much Howl and don't forget it." As you finish you kiss his head and wrap your arms around him.

Currently, Howl was down stairs making you breakfast, which is a pretty rare thing.

“Sooo, what’s the special occasion?” Calcifer asked as he ate an egg shell Howl gave him.

“There is no special occasion, I just felt like making him breakfast, that’s all.” Howl said as he waited for a bit before flipping the pancake over, the side that was done was a golden brown color.

“Righttt.” Calcifer said as he squinted his eyes a bit. Once he finished he had placed the rather large pancake on a beautiful white plate that was decorated with different colored flowers.

Howl placed that plate on the bed tray he found not too long ago and next to it was a small vase with a small but pretty lavender flower.

“Well aren’t you being a Romeo.” Calcifer snickered making Howl roll his eyes as he walked up the stairs to your shared bedroom.

“Y/n~” Howl said in a sing-song tone. Of course you didn’t wake up just from that so he had to nudge you a couple times to wake you up. “Oh, good morning darling..” You said with a soft smile and sat up as you yawned and stretched.

“I made you pancakes.” Howl placed the bed tray on your lap catching you by surprise. “You made breakfast?” You asked, brow raised. “Mhm!” Howl nodded his head proudly. “Aww how sweet of you, thank you darling!” You said and kissed his cheek making him all giddy.

You took a bite of the pancake before doing a little wiggle. “Is it good?” Howl asked and sat near your legs. You quickly nodded your head and ate the rest. With a satisfied sigh you placed the fork down.

“Looks like I have to make you breakfast in bed next time.” “Nonsense, I made it just for you.” Howl said and caressed your cheek before kissing your forehead.

“Aww, thank you Howl.” You smiled and he hummed.

Howl x Male Reader Part Three

You sat with Calcifer silently reading from a book that Howl had leant you. Though your mind was occupied with thoughts of how Sophie will react when she finds that you love Howl just as much as she does.

You jumped slightly as soft hands ran through your h/c hair. "Howl." You breathed a sigh of relief at the kind smile he gave you. The smile he would give no one else. "I have something to show you, love." He whispered. You cocked your head to the side slightly. "Hm?" He slipped his hands into yours and led you to the door.

He clicked the dial to a new color. One that wasn't there before. "A new place?" You said. "Yes. One I made especially for you, pretty boy. With an extra little surprise." You couldn't help smiling in excitement. You bit your lip to try and stop the goofy grin from spreading but it was too late.

Howl opened the door. A field of gorgeous flowers filled your sight. The sky was dark and filled with the twinkling lights we call stars. And a picnic had been set up with a few candles. "I made sure to make lots of f/f(favorite food), as well." He said.

You were much to stunned to speak. "Do- Do you like it?" He sounded worried and hopeful. You hugged him tightly. "No. No I don't. I love it." You could feel his smile and he hugged you back.

The two of you talked, well, you mostly did the talking, and ate. You could bloody well say that this was the happiest moment of your life.

"N/n." Howl said, his dark hair shining in the starlight. You looked up at him. He was holding out his hand. You took it. He pulled you to your feet and put his hand on your hip. "Care to dance, my love?" You smiled for what felt like the millionth time that night. "I'd love to."

You swayed to the sounds of the night as if they were a grand orchestra. You felt as if you were floating. It was the best experiences you ever had. The first was meeting the mysterious man.

You closed your eyes for a mere moment, just to feel the whole world disappear around you when it all came crashing back around you. Though it wasn't a bad crash. It was the best. Howl was kissing you. It wasnt unpleasant. It was soft and sweet. And he tasted of strawberries and cream.

"I think I might love you." You whispered. "And I as well, my dear." He replied, hugging you close.

"just… shut up and watch the movie, he said, looking away, flustered.

"i talk to you that way…" your boyfriend pouted. every time you two watch this movie, you always fan about haku. "not gonna lie, scara, you kind of do sound like haku." lynette said. "omg yeah!! he totally does!"

"yeah, let’s watch it." your boyfriend agreed. 

[7:02 "that’s my girl."] "he’s like... really hot… but yn, don’t even. i know what you’re going to say." the indigo-haired male said before you could say anything. how could you not though? this hot, flirty blonde appeared on the screen, and he even had a soothing voice! "aether had to go early because he was getting tutored or something, so we all decided to go home... anyways, what are you guys watching?" 

now, you four were sitting on the couch. four of you squished together with you, and lynette jammed in the middle. scara beside you, and lyney on the other side of the couch, beside lynette. "howl’s so charming, you said. "haha, yn, you must really like him?" lyney asked you. "yeah! he’s so kind. not to mention, he looks great with both blonde and black hair." lyney smiled at your response; he loved seeing you happy and hearing you talk. in fact, the sound of your voice soothed him. scaramouche eyed you and lyney’s interactions, then suddenly clung onto you. "ynnnn, i’m getting sleepy... wake me up when the movie’s done, okay?" he asked, yawning, then placed a gentle kiss on your lips. his lips were soft but salty from the popcorn, and you couldn’t remember the last time you two kissed. movie | lee seokmin x reader | 529 w.

"Did you ransack the convenience store?" you ask upon seeing Seokmin with a bunch of snacks in his long arms.

"First off, that's not nice, and a little help please?" he demands. You laugh a little before making your way across the room to take some of the snacks from his arms. He must have forgotten the shopping bag again, but that doesn't seem to stop him from getting all of these snacks.

After setting everything on the coffee table in the living room, Seokmin flopped down on the couch, huffing.

"So, what are we watching?" he asked, leaning forward to grab one bag of chips. Both of you had promised to spend the weekend doing a movie marathon. Ever the gentleman, he lets you choose your favorite. But somehow, that makes you very nervous. What if he didn't like your movie pick? What if he finds it boring?

"Howl's Moving Castle," you uttered. You know it's a very well-known movie from Ghibli Studios, but Seokmin claimed he had never seen any of them. On the other hand, these movies have become somewhat of a religion for you since you first laid eyes on them.

After pressing play, you leaned back on the sofa, feeling Seokmin arms on the back of your neck. He leaves a small kiss in your temple before leaning back with you.

"Woah!" he exclaims when the first scene comes into the TV. "That's so beautiful."

If you're being honest, this is the first time Howl's Moving Castle become a background noise. You're too immersed in watching Seokmin at every scene. In awe of his pure reaction, and those round eyes reflecting the pretty light of the movie.

"Woah? That was so good?" he pointed out. "Why have I never watched it before?" he asks, more to himself than you.

"Do you like it?" you ask back. Earning a look of disbelief from Seokmin.

"Are you kidding? I love it!" he exclaims. "It's so beautiful and the music is so soothing. I understand why's this your favorite movie, sweetheart."

"Good, good," you murmured, pleased by his answer. "But I actually like it because Howl is so handsome," you teased. Seokmin lets out a sarcastic laugh before cupping your face.

"Hey, let's not lie now, you keep glancing at me throughout the whole movie," he paused, pressing a chaste kiss on your pouting lips. "you think I wouldn't notice?" he quips back, making you roll your eyes in annoyance while suppressing a grin.
