Anyway i think that we should add beloved hermit GeminiTay to Grian and Pearl's sky siblings because not only are she and Pearl best friends, but she is often also associated with the sun so I propose Grian as sunboy, Pearl as moongirl, and Gem as stargirl
I like to think that Grian and Pearl found Gem on the sidewalk one day in a box and she just looked like a sad, wet kitten so Pearl picked her up by the scruff and was like "We're keeping her" and Grian did his little whine of exasperation and was like "Pearl, she's probably not even house trained!!" But Grian can't resist his little sisters puppy dog eyes so they kept her and now all three of them love to Cause Problems On Purpose
Also Impulse somehow got roped into being their Dad so now he has to make sure the damage is at least small when they pull pranks

Random Obey Me! Headcannons
Lucifer really likes human world blue cheese but refuses to admit it because he knows he will be made fun of for it by his brothers
Mammon has his first dollar he made in the Devildom framed and when Mc found it while looking for condoms he was really embarrassed
Idk it’s so funny to me to think of Mc and Mammon about to have sexy time and they need to go look for a condom. Mammon swears he has some so Mc goes digging though a drawer and finds a framed dollar bill while butt naked
“Mammon what is this-”
“SHIT UNSEE THAT HUMAN”
Levi has neck and back pains from all the gaming he does and really loves massages but is too scared to ask
Satan once stole a pair of Lucifer’s underwear and hung it from the RAD flagpole
Asmo made it a point to introduce Mc into his nightly routine as his face mask buddy, even to the point of doing it over call if they’re separated
This also sounds funny as shit imagine someone like Levi walking in on that
“So anyways, I stomped their skull in and got blood on my new boots. My hands also hurt from wringing the neck of that-”
“Asmo, Lucifer wants to know- HOLY SHIT WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO YOU”
“A face mask, Levi. You could use one”
Beel loves kids and likes it when they use him as a jungle gym
Belphie always kicks people in his sleep without fail. Mammon swears he does it on purpose but knows he doesn't
Simeon does the best hair braids and is regarded the best in the Celestial Realm
Luke hates girl scout cookies since he thinks homemade cookies are so much better
Solomon can be seen leaving Asmo's room at any point during the day but nobody ever sees him going in. Imagine hanging out with Asmo and Solomon just fucking appears and then disappears just as fast
Diavolo's favorite color is pink
Barbatos has a succulent garden and Mc will bring him a new one every time they come back from the human world
Thirteen definitely loves Mexican food and spice in general
Raphael is convinced soft blankets are the best thing to ever exist
Mephisto once accidently knocked over one of Luke's cakes and felt so bad that he sent Purgatory Hall a buttload of money and wrote an article in the RAD newspaper about how great the angels were at baking
Mammon and Lucifer openly hate white chocolate (because it's not chocolate). Satan does too but pretends to like it because Lucifer likes it
Whenever Satan needs a parter to go to the events he gets invited to, Mc and Asmo are his first choices. He's closest with Asmo (Belphie is a second close) and doesn't mind the fanfare
Asmo and Beel often travel around the Devildom together. Asmo can't eat everything he orders since he just wants pictres so Beel is the ideal companion. Beel is also the perfect body guard
Solomon's current favorite liquor is Fireball and always has some on hand, but Luke always hides it because he thinks drinking is a bad habit
Barbatos definitely listens to heavy metal but everyone thinks he listens to classical music
If my grandmothers met the brothers, Beel would be their fav because he would clean his plate but if it was everyone, Simeon would take it home because he’s so charming even though he’s barely clothed
Everyone is so downbad for Mc I think it might scare off other people how much they hover. Like, a lower demon bothering you? Literally anything could happen to them, like they could be thrown in an endless loop of suffering, they could be made dirt poor for eternity, or they could be torn limb from limb <3 gotta love it
Asmo and Belphie make a deadly duo when to comes to trapping people/demons/angels. They both have the power to lure you in, and would probably take turn luring in victims for an evening as some sort of strange brother bonding. They both remind me of angler fish in a way. Asmo lures them with the pretense of sex and Belphie with relaxation, two things people can’t get enough of and they can stay calm enough to pull it off
Solomon has definitely made the brothers swap bodies or something crazy like that, on accident or not, you decide
Whenever Mc is feeling down, Diavolo offers his man titties as a nice pillow to relax on because he read somewhere once humans liked that
Beel is like a bull in a china shop so do not take him anyway where you need to be delicate. Belphie knows this, and will put him to sleep and carry him when they need to go somewhere like an antique shop by promising him a snack afterwards
Beel thinks Satan, Belphie, and Mc make the best weights out of everyone. Satan will just read, Belphie will just sleep, and Mc is like his personal cheerleader. However, he can and will lift all his brothers and Mc and the same time if he wants to, it’s just difficult to get them all in the same place at the same time
Thirteen, Belphie, and Satan got in a prank war once and it had to end in a draw since one party could not best the other. In the end, they made a final, collaborative prank and pulled it on Solomon
Mc once fell down the stairs in the human realm, ended up in the hospital, and sent the entire cast into panic so much that they took turns watching over them
Mephisto and Mc once had a night out drinking together and (somehow) returned to the HoL but were totally smashed. Lucifer forbid them from doing it again, but they still sneak out together and just crash at Mephiso’s place instead

I HAVE A THOUGHT ABOUT SEASON THREE.
So I was just thinking about how we almost never see other angels or demons on Earth besides Aziraphale and Crowley, but we know that by modern times there are angels and demons stationed all over the planet. There have to be. Shax calls herself "Hell's ambassador plenipotentiary to this corner of the planet," not Hell's ambassador to Earth in general. So it seems likely to me that at the beginning it was only Aziraphale and Crowley but as the human population got bigger and bigger both sides needed to send more and more agents to Earth. Makes sense, right?
But we never see them. In part, I'm sure, because each angel and demon is mostly sticking to their own corner of the world, doing angel/demon stuff locally and not really traveling around much. But also, our ineffable duo have probably been avoiding interactions with fellow celestials stationed on Earth as much as possible, because they don't want their arrangement to be discovered.
So what if Aziraphale, in his new capacity as Supreme Archangel, starts looking into what the other angels stationed on Earth have been up to and discovers that all of them (or at least a whole lot of them) have gone native and secretly befriended or hooked up with their demonic counterparts? But nobody had ever discovered how common this is, because they'd all been avoiding each other and convinced they were the only ones?
The possibilities for taking this love story even further into "extended queer metaphor" territory are ENDLESS.
(Why were Aziraphale and Crowley the ones to stop Armageddon, then? Because they were the ones stationed in that area, so they were the ones who ended up being involved. Or maybe their sides stationed them in that part of the world on purpose, as their most experienced field agents, knowing that the Antichrist was going to be delivered there eventually. Although I think it would be hilarious if they were the angel/demon duo who ended up stopping Armageddon because they just happened to be in the neighborhood.)

Flyboy and the Florist-3
Tumblr media
Bob Floyd x F!Reader
Warnings: None except our nervous WSO, Fluff
Word Count: 830
Author's Note: Here's the next part! This one is a little longer than the others but its one of the most important moments for our little couple! Also, I hid another hint of how reader feels about Bob in here and her nickname/callsign! Again I love talking with you guys so please reblog/comment/ask about this story!
Tumblr media
Maybe taking his two best friends to meet his crush was a bad idea. Bob was already sweating bullets about finally asking her out and maybe bringing two people known to embarrass Bob was not the way to do this. It was too late anyway. Natasha was driving, Bob was in the passenger seat, and Bradley was in the back. Honestly, Bob felt like he was going to throw up. The butterflies in his stomach had become aggravated. Would he be successful this time? Or would he come home with another bouquet of blush tea roses and what she calls dwarf sunflowers? He wasn’t sure.
Natasha noticed the grey storm cloud that was hovering over Bob. She knew that whoever this florist was, she was making her backseater question his every decision. “Bob, I’m sure you’ll get her number this time. Okay?”
This made him turn his head to face his partner. “Are you sure? For the past two weeks, I’ve tried to conjure up the words and instead, I just word vomit in front of her.”
“Is it that bad Bobby boy?” Bradley asked while leaning on the center console. He didn’t think anything could rattle the WSO except Jake’s jabs at him during a drunken round of pool. “Is this florist that daunting? Is she scary or somethin’?”
The question made Bob think about her. She wasn’t at all daunting. She was alluring and beautiful in ways that Bob couldn’t explain. It made Bob feel like a complete fool. How could he go for a girl who is so beautiful and kind like her? Either way, he knew that if he got her number and asked her out on a date, he would feel more successful than what happened with the uranium mission.  A curt stop shook him out of his thoughts. Natasha had parked in the of the shop. The sign hung in the window. It said “Apotheca Blooms” with botanical and celestial motifs surrounding it. “Is this the place?” asked Bradley while stepping out of Nat’s car. He was surprised that the “supposed” daunting florist had a shop that looked warm and cozy. He was expecting something entirely else. “Yep. Let’s hope today is the day.” Bob said with a somewhat hopeless sigh. He was going back to the thought that this was a bad idea. Would his friends be great wingmen/wingwomen? Or would they make the situation worse? Well, it was too late to figure that out because Nat and Bradley were already through the door. Bob quickly followed after the chaotic duo hoping that everything would go smoothly.
Walking in, the three of them started looking around. Natasha found a whole section of bath salts and bath bombs that were already calling her name. Bradley was taking everything in from the flowers to the table of crystals. Bob was looking for the reason he came.
“Are you finding everything okay?” said a voice coming from behind the table full of bouquets.
“Ahhh!” Bradley yelped while searching for the voice. The florist came around the table to greet everyone.
“Sorry. I didn’t mean to scare you,” she said while looking at the trio. She was surprised to see two new faces alongside Bob.
Bradley at that moment decided to get a look at the woman that was haunting Bob. What he saw was a woman that he didn’t think Bob would for based on appearances but he knew that appearances can be deceiving. “More surprised than scared. I didn’t see you hiding in all that flora and fauna.” Bradley answered back while chuckling.
“Well, it wouldn’t be the first time I surprised a customer. I’ve been told a have quiet footfalls.”She said while showing her captivating smile. “Either way, how can I help you folks?”
“Well I’m here for some bath salts which I already found and this guy is just here for the ride,” Nat replied while pointing her thumb over to Bradley. The florist nodded when she looked over to Bob.
“Hi, Bobby. How are you?”
“I’m-m great! How are you? Did you ever get that new tea blend figured out?”
“I did! You should definitely try it, I think you’ll like it.” She immediately answered the WSO’s question with delight.
This is when Nat and Bradley realized something that Bob didn’t. The florist already liked him and he was missing all the signs. Nat decided to elbow Bob in the side to get him to stop avoiding the main reason they were there. Bob recognized this so he decided now or never. “Umm, actually I came here for something else.”
“Oh? What is it Bobby?” she asked while tilting her head.
Taking a deep breath, Bob thought out his next words carefully. He knew he couldn’t keep buying more flowers for zero reason. He had to make you see that he could treat you right and more.
“Well, I was wondering if I could take you out for a date.”

For TMI Tuesday, I would LOVE to know more about Ineffable Rockstars 👀
This one is a very new WIP!
It was @vavoom-sorted-art 's idea, and we've been cooking it with @moonyinpisces and @searchingforakeythatdoesntexist !
Her pitch:
"Rockstar AU where Aziraphale and Crowley both play in rivaling bands. Aziraphale's band is an indie band called Celestial Harmonies. Crowley is a singer in a metal band called Hellish Rebuke, but they both get kicked out for different reasons.
Aziraphale, whose family is against his Rockstar life anyways, is about to quit music and go work a boring ass job. Crowley convinces him to start a two-man band because he has a bunch of songs written (which are all, coincidentally, secretly, about Aziraphale, who he has crushed on for years, of course) which the other members of Hellish Rebuke trashed because they were 'too soft' for the genre. Aziraphale is reluctant at first, but he also has a mad crush on Crowley, so he agrees. And so the unlikely duo start their journey to fame..."
Current form we have thought of: multi-chapter songfic (we will be writing the lyrics) of their forming their group, creating their first album and going to a rock festival where a label will be showing up and taking interest in them :D
It'll be funny with a dash of drama, includes a meet-cute, a little bit of steam, and so, so many songs!

hey u know how mk only calls wukong by his title and never his name? and how wukong rarely if ever calls mk "mk," instead usually opting for "kid" or "bud?" and how both of those things are kind of representative of their relationship and how both of them care about each other a lot but they aren't honest with each other or with themselves about the other and how neither of them really wants to confront the fact that the other is a person with flaws and struggles? haha yeah <- normal <- lying about being normal
be glad i have been released from class now :) [narrator: she would later find herself late to her 2nd class while writing this]
so happy you have given me this excuse to talk about— i mean, yes! it is super normal to be thinking about this all the time and be comsumed by it and let me explain why:
i will start by going off on a tangent about names and labels and their narratove importance in stories because i love them and have a problem. (idk the word count here. viewer discretion is advized. i just wrote. it is long. beware)
In the Case of Names: a Sunburst Duo Essay
by Yours Truly <3
In the Case of Names in LMK: a Summary (please for the love of pete be a summary)
Ok, so, let me give y'all a quick overview (i failed. this is you're only warning. i failed, and this became a monster of an essay. run while you still have the chan—) of names in the literary sense. When studying novels and books and shit in your literature classes, you will notice that your professor might discuss the importance or ill-importance of characters' names in the story. For example: in the classic novel Fahrenheit 451, the protagonist's name is fucking Guy Montage to illustrate how he's just some fucking guy, a John Doe, a man stuck and complicit in the dystopian world.
You get me? No? Sorry, you want more examples? Fine then :3 let me introduce you to a story called Hard Times by Charles Dickens. It is an allegorical novel that criticized the utilitarian movement going on in dear old Great Britain in the 19th century thanks to the Industrial Revolution. Some fun characters were Johannes Bounderby and Thomas Gradgrind. Tell me, what images did you imagine when I gave you those names? Did you think of a bouncing ball for Bounderby? Were you imagining something square or maybe a mechanical grinder for Mr. Gradgrind?
Remarkable isn't it. The way choosing a name has on a reader/audience's perception of the character. Names are not just placeholders for a character. Names are the identity of that character. Names can establish their starting arc or their ending. Names can be visual in the sense that they invoke a strong idea of what a character might resemble or what themes they will present the audience with. Removing a character's name also removes their identity.
Remember that.
Anyway, I have talked enough about names in the general literary sense. Let us move on to LMK.
Given that this show is based off of Journey to the West (JTTW), many of the names of the antagonist are already provided, and their English translation is pretty literal (Demon Bull King, Lady Bone Demon, Red Son) with some exceptions (Jing & Yin, the Gold and Silver Demons), but their names all provide a description of what they are and how they should be viewed. Spider Queen is a spider demon and views herself as queen. Pretty solid characterization there. Lady Bone Demon, she's a bone demon and has enough rank to be considered a lady (or that could just be to ID that she is a woman but eh). Princess Iron Fan: she's a celestial princess and wields an iron fan. Got it? Good. These examples are simply here to show that a majority of the JTTW antagonists are still fulfilling their roles as antagonistic characters. What I mean is this: since "A Hero is Born," MK has been fighting against the Monkey King's old enemies from the JTTW book. It's like the moment MK inserted himself into the role of successor, the antagonist themselves were inserted to redo their old role of fighting the "Monkey King." It's almost as if nothing has changed beside the fact that their new op enemy is a "human" wielding the legendary staff.
[hmmmm, wait i actually never put this into words until now and it's fitting very well with the whole "MK's fight against Fate/the Narrative" but we'll just put a pin in that.]
However, when it comes to MK's friends (Pigsy, Tang, Sandy, Mei), they all share different names from their reincarnated/ancestral counterparts (Zhu Bajie, Tang Sangzang (they just give Tripitaka a last name lol), Sha Wujing, and Ao Lie). Their identity is separate, distinctive from who they are meant to reflect to the audience. (But look at how Tang still shares the same 1st name to the blessed monk, see how he's the one whose powers are the most similar, see how he being pulled into the direction of emulating the monk, see how much Tang fights it, see—)
Fascinating huh? But let us move on before I forget myself.
In the Case of MK's Names: a Paragraph (DO NOT, i repeat, DO NOT GO OFF THE RAILS)
So, in the English version, there is a running gag about how MK's "real" name is long and complicated, and we don't actually know it. All we know is that MK switched it long before the pilot. And even before MK has that talk with Master Subodhi in s4ep7 (or 6? 8?), I would chuckle at how on the nose his name was. MK the Monkie Kid... how silly of the show writers....ahaha, what a funny little decision to make :)
Do we know why MK changed his name? Other than his original one being long, no. Do we know why MK specifically? We don't know. Maybe, in his fanboy brain for all things Monkey King, MK thought it would be cool to have a name that identified close to his idol. A name that identified with someone he wished to emulate and be as powerful as and felt so connected to. But what do I know? I am a mere local gal who feeds off of metas and theories and all things relating to my beloved sunburst duo.
Then, we have MK's many titles: Monkie Kid (IDs him as the new generations Monkey), Successor (IDs him as the one who will succeed Sun Wukong in both the title of Monkey King and power), Noodle Boy (pronounced "New-dle Boi and IDs as the boy who works in his surrogate/adopted dad's noodle shop), Delivery Boy (his actual job for the noodle shop), and last but not least, Harbinger of Chaos.
What makes a harbinger? What is chaos? What are their intentions? Are they good? Bad? Neutral?
So, I've already defined harbinger before and many others have as well, but to sum up: a harbinger is a being/person/thing that announced the coming of something be it good or bad but most of the time the focus is bad. A "Harbinger of Chaos" then, would be the one to announce the coming of Chaos™️ and the disruption of world order. Is this a bad thing? Well, the show presents it at the moment as so, but that doesn't mean it will be. Honestly, the show has shown order and fixed structures more in a bad light and promotes free will and choosing a destiny that fits you as the good thing 👀 (another thing to pin in the MK might to go war with Fate)
But now I have established MK's names and must shut up and move on before I no longer can.
In the Case of Sun Wukong's Names: some Paragraphs (STAY ON TARGET PLEASE)
I will admit that my knowledge of names in China is very low, and by low, I mean I know nothing (most of what I do know comes from asking friends and informational sites). So, let me begin this segment with an excerpt of Sun Wukong gaining his name from the book itself :) and break it down with my interpretation and how that is applied to LMK.
When the Patriarch heard this, he was secretly pleased, and said, “Well, evidently you have been created by Heaven and Earth. Get up and show me how you walk.” Snapping erect, the Monkey King scurried around a couple of times. The Patriarch laughed and said, “Though your features are not the most attractive, you do resemble a pignolia-eating monkey (husun). This gives me the idea of taking a surname for you from your appearance. I intended to call you by the name Hu. If I drop the animal radical from this word, what’s left is a compound made up of the two characters, gu and yue. Gu means aged and yue means female, but an aged female cannot reproduce. Therefore, it is better to give you the surname of Sun. If I drop the animal radical from this word, what we have left is the compound of zi and xi. Zi means a boy and xi means a baby, and that name exactly accords with the fundamental Doctrine of the Baby Boy. So your surname will be ‘Sun.’” When the Monkey King heard this, he was filled with delight. “Splendid! Splendid!” he cried, kowtowing, “At last I know my surname. May the master be even more gracious! Since I have received the surname, let me be given also a personal name..." ..."You will hence be given the religious name ‘Wake-to-the-Void’ (wukong). All right?” “Splendid! Splendid!” said the Monkey King, laughing. “Henceforth I shall be called Sun Wukong.”
What a fucking cutie <3
So, what can we gather from this excerpt? Sun Wukong just gained his official name. No longer is he a monkey with descriptive titles, no longer is he a monkey without a surname to be referred to as and respected for. He now has both a surname and a personal name. And while I don't fully understand everything Master Subodi listed when naming Sun Wukong, it is important to note the importance of it and how happy Wukong is to receiving it.
Before this, the book would simply refer to Wukong as Shihou (stone monkey) or the Handsome Monkey King. Both of these are descriptive titles that just inform you what Wukong is rather than who, just like with the other demons met in JTTW. But now, we get to know him as Sun Wukong, someone more than his titles and such. There's even an explanation in the preface how Wukong's own personal name has significant meaning or relation to Buddhism, but I won't get too much into that since my knowledge is of that is 0 and I want to try and stick to LMK.
Now then, let us examine Wukong's name in the LMK sense. Literally everyone in the show call him either Monkey King or "simian" (and if he really pissed them off, Sun Wukong). The only people to refer to Wukong by his personal name is Nezha, Macaque, and Peng. It is literally just these three. And while we could argue all say it like "Wukong (derogatory)," I believe Peng's the only one who means it. Meaning, I think Macaque says Wukong because he was the closest friend of SWK, thus that's the only name Macaque would ever call him (sure, he said Monkey King and shit in s1 but that was when he was duping MK soooooooo). Nezha calls him Wukong because after the whole Havoc in Heaven and journey stuff, he is the new oldest member to befriend Wukong and not be enemies with him (yes, he will get annoyed and aggravated by him, and he will not always believe Wukong's intentions are great, but he still cares and is his 2nd closests living friend).
Peng, on the other hand, does not give a shit. I fully believe that guy never cared for Wukong. They only joined the brotherhood because of Azure (they even offered for Azure to be the brotherhood's leader). I do not think Peng cares for formalities when it comes to people they dislike. We could argue that maybe Peng cared for Wukong in the beginning, but I do, honestly, not believe it. The only reason Peng even felt betrayed was because it messed up Azure's plan. Not because the two were sworn brothers.
But yeah, very few characters actually call Sun Wukong by his name, and when they do, it establishes not just how close they are/were, but also how long they've known each other. It's the same thing with how Wukong refers to others. He barely calls Pigsy, Tang, and Sandy by their names. He will give people nicknames and shit just to place a safe distance from them because of his own very unhealthy attachment issues.
In the Case of MK and SWK's Names for Each Other: the Actual Sunburst Duo Essay (you are free now.....)
Speaking of attachment issues, let's talk about the Sunburst Duo and how much these two need to sit down and talk.
So, we have discussed how names are integral to identifying a character's purpose, thematic journey, description. We have discussed how a person's title can clue in on certain characterization, present or future, and how they demonstrate the way others view them. Now let us apply this to our beloved sunburst duo.
As mentioned in your ask, @gumy-shark, both MK and Sun Wukong barely call each other by name (MK never has as far as I am aware, and SWK has done so only a few). It's "Monkey King" from MK and "kid," "bud," "buddy" from SWK. Rarely do the two ever think to say each other's name.
In the beginning, I originally thought MK only calls Wukong "Monkey King" as a way to be respectful, and with Wukong, I assumed he called MK "kid" simply because MK was very young to him. However, as we get into s3, and especially s4, MK and Wukong have grown a lot closer. Neither of them see each other as just a mentor or student but as friends. And yet, they cannot seem to stop calling each other by their title or nickname.
Thus, the distance is still there. S3 ends with Wukong promising to do better as a mentor and be more honest with MK, and we do seem him attempt this. He gives out more praises, he's more open about his feelings and then gets sucked into the memory scroll. But here's the kicker: the two are doing a reverse in their dynamic.
When it starts out, it is Monkey King who establishes the line between the two. He will simply be MK's mentor and teach him all the kid has to know in order to succeed him. MK is ecstatic to even be near SWK. This is his idol, the guy he's had a special interest in for years probably. He now gets to train under the Monkey King. He wants to do good. He wants to kickass. He wants to be just like him.
But as the story goes on, we see SWK open up to MK more and care for him deeply and want to protect him, and we see MK uncover the skeletons in SWK's closet and feel so alone and learn that the power he used to wish for is not what he expected. And in the aftermath of s3, it is now SWK who is opening up and trying to help kindle and safely guide their friendship in a healthier path(ish). It is SWK who is placing his own protege on a pedestal because "loook at him! isn't he so great and powerful! he will help this world a lot more than i did". It is SWK who is disregarding th original rules he placed. But now ,it is MK who is keeping the distance more than SWK. It is MK is trying to force some kind of distance. He feels like he shouldn't burden SWK with his doubts and worries. He is terrified of his own powers and their capabilities and worries his actions will make the same mistake as his mentor.
With s3 and s4, SWK has called MK by name quite a few times. Especially in s4. It's not a lot, but it's definitely more than before. And yet, MK cannot call Wukong by name. Personally, I think he might still feel like he's under Wukong's shadow. As his successor, there is a legacy that he will carry when Wukong actually retires and gives his title to MK (which is what I assume Wukong will do??? It is still unclear what exactly MK's succeeding SWK of). And that legacy is quite the burden. I would not be surprised that MK is unable to place himself as being worthy of taking Wukong's place just yet (if ever).
This guy was his idol for a long time. And with that, you tend to place a high pedestal for those people. MK has given Wukong such a high pedestal, and Wukong is very aware of it. It's why the guy even keeps his distance in the first place, and why he's scared to disappoint him. But, MK has learned so much, has been told of the tales and pain his mentor inflicted on others in the past (a past SWK greatly regrets), and yet cannot find it in himself to lower that pedestal or even allow himself to think about it. Because if he does, then he will have to acknowledge his own pain and his own disappointment in someone he not only admires but has come to love like family. And it is very hard to reckon with the hurt and pain caused by someone you consider family.
So yeah, they are silly monkeys who cannot communicate to save their life and need to just sit down and talk or else this will continue to boil and explode and we'll have a SWK and MK showdown (fuck yeah! i will be crying so hard).

Hello! I love your work! (Call me 🐉 anon)
Can I please request Swk & Macaque (together), mei, reds on and mk (separately) with a mystical s/o who can turn into all different types of dragons? Ex: wyvern, Easter dragon, land Drake, water dragon, ect.
Thank you! Your writing is so good I love it! Hope you have a good day/night!
Aw thank you!! I dub thee dragon anon!! Enjoy!
Shadowpeach, Mei, Redson, and MK x GN!Dragon Reader Headcanons!
I did a similar kind of dragon prompt with Mei a while ago, you can find it here(or you can send another ask if you want me to just redo it >:[ /lh)
Shadowpeach - most likely to be a badass trio with you. Two celestial monkeys and a whole dragon??? NOBODY is gonna mess with y’all now. I think the pair of them would have fun and spar with you in different dragon forms you have, just to see what it’s like to fight a dragon. If you have some fun dragon features when you’re in your human form they’ll definitely tease you lightheartedly about them! Overall, a very good combo, since if they ever end up in a fight then you’re the wildcard—monkey, monkey, and oh? Another monkey? NOPE ITS A DRAGON
Redson - FIRE DUO FIRE DUO—He thinks you’re very cool! Finally, he has someone who can appreciate a lava bath and absurdly hot food with him! Also, they would definitely spoil you with some kind of special scale cleaning stuff for you to use. Never pressures you to take one form or another when you’re with her but I think he has a preference for your Eastern Dragon form just because it’s the one he’s the most familiar with(that and you look really cool ok)
MK - ultimate hype man. It’s basically large s/o x small s/o when you’re in your dragon form it’s wonderful. He loves just watching you,,, be a dragon. Seeing you fly is his favorite thing because he can fly with you!! On his cloud!!! Also maybe bugs you for rides. You obviously don’t have to give him any, but can you really say no to a face like his? Also, expect him to make drawings of your different forms. Pose for him if you feel like it!

21, NB, semi-literate (5-10 lines of text is more than enough unless the context demands extra descriptions or dialogue, as long as it's 3rd person, with no ** then you're good) roleplayer with more or less 8 years of experience behind. Looking for a fandomless, medieval/ historical- inspired RP that would include dark themes (from gore to sexual NSFW, so make sure you're not only 18+ but your age is also listed in your bio, otherwise don't bother reacting to this ad), mythological creatures, some magic and all that jazz. He has a calm attitude, is a dominant switch and can be kind of a smartass at times but at the end of the day he's well meaning, if you show respect. Other than that, I will NOT claim that he's some sort of "good guy", he absolutely CAN be the villain who's willing to burn down the world for who he loves (but PLEASE don't come at me with childish or naive, bl or yaoi type of bottoms 💀💀💀). I do tend to include a lot of details from my culture and traditions, as I'm very fond of it, so I'd also encourage you to do the same (I'm kind of a sucker for world building details).
Plots I've had in mind:
1. Nobleman x Guard- My character is a nobleman by default and this plot could really only go one of two ways: either he is part of a rebellion against the current sire, king, leader, whatever, for his wrongdoings, OR he's fighting to not be removed from his position due to political stuff. Your character would be the "ride or die" who has to tag along now (or who knows, maybe he/ they actually enjoy it, who am I to say)
2. Two against the world- Since we're talking about an immortal x immortal ship and I lean more towards dark mythological creatures, I was thinking of a duo of so called "monsters" (by humans of course) who kinda get tired to be hunted down for simply existing and decide to fight back. That being said, this does have enemies to lovers potential, if your character is a good/ celestial being who joins my guy along the way.
As for your character, again, not interested in RPing with a naive or childish character, if he/they lean more towards a masculine appearance that would be great. (not obligatory tho) You can use whatever you want as images (drawn, Picrew, real life face claim, even if the latter is a bit creepy to me, I have a face claim for him. Anything but AI bs) and if you can describe them good enough, I won't need a character sheet. I do have one for my OC tho.

Berry I'm begging you on my knees, next time you make an au PLEASE mention their relationship! I love your art, I love your art style so much im ready to print it on a cake and eat it, I love your storytelling about your aus, but I would rather eat glass than ship them so i tend to be cautious about aus, and I have been here since when you first posted about rlgl and them called celestial twins gave me a green light on them being brothers. It's OKAY!! Mistakes happen and it's okay! Just for the next time, Please mention their relationship beforehand.(or at least if they're a couple or not) (And, maybe you should change celestial twins? Maybe celestial duo or something, so people won't get confused/misunderstand)
I'm so sorry I'm making this a big deal I'm not sure myself why I'm upset about something silly like this
Ah no its fine, if this is something that is important to you its understandable that you get upset! I am really sorry that this oversight of mine upset you like that. I hope though that you can still enjoy the other aus but if this made you uncomfortable with my blog or something that is understandable too.
I will try to mention the kind of their relationships early on if i make any new aus.
Though i am not sure if i wanna change them being called celestial twins at work? Because it just kinda feels like thats something faz. co would do. Though maybe i could make it a poll asking if you guys are uncomfortable with it and if enough people are uncomfortable i would change it.

"(and take a guess at who destroyed the professional affinity they built with him" is this the colonel? jfc I keep hating that man
who else? leiber and stoller initially didn't know who elvis was and had some preconceived judgment in place (which happened to him a lot), but then once they actually met with him, they were impressed and developed a rapport. elvis wanted them to be in the studio when he recorded. they had suggestions and encouragement for him, about songs, about his career, and parker didn't like that, was threatened by the idea of them getting in the middle, or worse, giving him ideas (this would repeat throughout his life, it's not dissimilar to what happened with steve binder). the colonel eventually destroyed the relationship they built by sending leiber and stoller a blank page and calling it a contract as an intentional slight. they told him exactly what they thought of that, and never worked with elvis again.
longer details from here
"Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller were like the rap artists of the early '50s, pushing buttons, inviting scorn and testing the limits, as rock roared into being from its roots as blues and rhythm and blues. They were writing music for black artists, when one of their songs, Hound Dog, was heard by a young Elvis Presley. His adaptation turned it into a No. 1 hit and helped aim Leiber and Stoller toward the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
They wrote 20 songs for Elvis until the brash young songwriters had a falling out with Colonel Tom Parker, the Svengali they now remember as a 'bully' and a 'foul, greedy' man who helped destroy Elvis. But the estrangement didn't change their respect for Elvis.
'We feel that Elvis Presley was the high water mark of the 20th Century. He's legend. No, he's myth. He's in that celestial place for mythological figures. At the time, we just thought he was a white kid trying to make it as a singer', says Leiber, the man who supplied the words as lyricist of one of the worlds' best-known songwriting duos.
Leiber and Stoller originally met in 1950, sharing a love of the blues and boogie woogie. They were writing for black artists, their earliest songs recorded by Jimmy Witherspoon, Little Esther, Amos Milburn, Charles Brown, Little Willie Littlefield and, among others, Willie Mae 'Big Mama' Thornton.
It was for Big Mama Thornton that they wrote Hound Dog in 1952. Her version came out in 1953 and was adapted by several groups. Stoller had gone to Europe with royalties from some of those early songs and was on his way home aboard the Andrea Doria when it sank in 1956.
Rescued by a lifeboat, Stoller arrived in New York with Leiber yelling from the dock: 'We've got a smash hit'. 'I said, 'You mean Big Mama Thornton's record?' He said, 'No, some white kid named Elvis Presley'. Elvis had heard Hound Dog in a Vegas Lounge by a group called Freddie Bell and the Bellboys', says Stoller.
Elvis' recording of Hound Dog was released in July of 1956 and bounded up the charts, selling millions of copies. Released the same year as Heartbreak Hotel, it put Elvis on TV and turned him into a phenomenon.
After Elvis' great success with his version of Hound Dog, Paramount Studios and music publishers Hill and Range selected additional Leiber and Stoller songs for Elvis' 1957 film Loving You. It was on April 30, 1957 while working on the movie Jailhouse Rock that Elvis first met Leiber and Stoller. They were skeptical of meeting the newcomer, thinking he was a country bumpkin. However, they were very impressed when upon meeting and talking to Elvis that he was very knowledgeable of R&B music and could discuss its nuances in great detail. They went on to work closely with Elvis on the Jailhouse Rock soundtrack with Stoller appearing in the film playing the piano for Elvis' character. After an incident of pitching songs and movie ideas directly to Elvis and not going through the usual chain of command with Elvis' manager, Colonel Tom Parker, they had a falling out with Parker and essentially ended their collaboration with Elvis. Fast-forward to 1960, they did write a couple of songs that were in the running for inclusion in Elvis' first post-army movie, G.I. Blues, but, ultimately they were not used. Although the direct collaboration ended, Elvis did choose several additional Leiber and Stoller tunes to record over the years.
'We were completely unconscious of what it might imply. We were just doing numbers', says Leiber. Stoller says those numbers were unfamiliar to white audiences because he and Leiber had written 'almost exclusively for black performers, so we wrote in a black idiom. People started thinking it was entirely new, but the base we started from was the blues and boogie woogie'.
Stoller says they didn't specifically tailor songs to that early Elvis persona but began by supplying songs they had already written, like Love Me, a ballad they had already recorded. 'Then we were asked to write for a movie, Loving You, with Elvis and Lizabeth Scott'. The next project, Jailhouse Rock, included four songs Leiber and Stoller wrote while held captive in a New York hotel.
They had been living in Los Angeles, and Stoller says they rented a New York hotel suite with a piano in the living area. 'We were given a script for the movie and kind of tossed it in the corner. We were having a ball in New York, going to jazz clubs, cabaret, going to the theater and hanging out. Finally, Jean Aberbach who ran Elvis Presley Music knocked on the door and said, 'Well boys, where are my songs?' I think Jerry said, 'Oh, Jean, you're going to get them'. Jean then pushed a big overstuffed chair in front of the door and said, 'I'm not leaving until I get my songs'.
They wrote four songs in five hours, including Jailhouse Rock, the movie's title song and Treat Me Nice, both major hits.
After that, Elvis 'wanted us in the studio with him whenever we recorded', says Stoller. It was part of Elvis' 'perfectionist' tendencies in the early stages of his career, says Jerry Schilling, a member of Elvis' Memphis Mafia. Leiber says Elvis 'was like an Olympic champion. He could do 40 to 50 takes. I never saw him happier than when he was on a microphone, performing'.
Both songwriters say that studio time was their primary contact with Elvis, who was kept at arm's length from them by Colonel Parker. Stoller says Elvis once asked, 'Mike, could you write me a real pretty ballad?' Over the weekend, they wrote the song Don't for him and handed it to him only to be berated by Parker.
'He was upset that I handed a song directly to Elvis. They didn't want anybody to have direct access to Elvis. It was like Elvis was kept kind of in a glass box and away from contact except for the Memphis Mafia. They were like paid companions'.
Like almost everyone else, they also had little contact with Parker himself. 'The longest I ever spent with him was a dinner at the Beverly Hills Hotel around 1956, after Hound Dog', says Stoller.
The breaking point for them came when Leiber was recovering from a bout with pneumonia about two years later, and Parker ordered them to California to write songs for a new movie project. Leiber explained that he had just been released from the hospital and was unable to travel. 'Parker said, 'You'd better get your ass out here'. He then sent a packet with a contract for them to sign. Leiber says he pulled the contract from the packet and found only a dark line across the middle of a blank page for his signature.
'I called and said, 'I think you made a mistake. There's no contract in here'. He said, 'Don't worry about that, boy. Just sign your name, and I'll fill it in later'."
"Jerry Leiber: I called and asked to speak to (Colonel) Tom. He got on the phone and said (Leiber imitates Parker) 'How you doin' boy?' I said, 'I'm OK. I had a real close call there. I had walking pneumonia and I just got out of the hospital.' He said he wanted me to pack right away and catch a plane. I told him I wasn't in any shape to catch a plane because I'd just gotten out of the hospital. He said, 'If they let you out, that means you're all right'. I told him I needed a day or two to get myself together, but he said the schedule was very tight and he needed me to come out right away.
Then he said, 'Did you see the contract yet?' I said, contract?' He said, 'I'm sure it's there by now. It's a contract covering the forthcoming movie and soundtrack album. You better take a look, sign it and send it back. So I hung up, took the contract out of one of the manila envelopes, and saw nothing but a blank page. Nothing was written on it except two lines at the bottom where Mike and I were supposed to sign our names.
I thought they had made a ridiculous blunder. I called Parker's secretary and said, 'There's been a mistake', she said, 'Let me get Tom.' Colonel Parker got on the phone and I told him, 'There's a piece of paper here with two places for signatures, but the contract is missing'. He said, 'There's no mistake - just sign it'. Then he said, 'Don't worry. We'll fill it in later'.
I got off the phone with Parker and immediately called Mike. I told him, 'Breaking up with the Presley outfit is like throwing away a license to print money. After all this work, I really hate to do it, but I am really offended' (When I was on the phone with Parker, I almost told him that I wasn't one of his 'okie dokies'). I told Mike I didn't want to work with this jerk anymore.
I asked Mike, 'How do you feel about this?' Now Mike is a very measured and modest with very good manners. He paused for a moment, and then he said, Jer ....tell him to f**k himself!'
So I called Colonel Parker back and said, 'Tom, I thought about what you told me'. He said, 'Good! What time are you gonna get here?' I said, 'Tom, I spoke to Mike about the contract, and he told me to tell you to go f**k yourself'.
I hung up, and I never spoke to him again."
"Like many others, [Leiber] wondered about Parker's hold on Elvis. 'I think he (Elvis) had a very weak father and didn't get a sense of what a father was like. Parker came along, and his attitude was, 'Do this, do that, and I'll take care of everything'. Parker became his surrogate family'."
"Leiber: Of course, the Colonel wasn't really a colonel. He was Thomas A. Parker, whose former job as a carnival barker defined his personality. He had a definite shtick ('Pick a number from one to ten'). He told dozens of canned jokes. I can't remember any of them except that they weren't funny. But it didn't matter that we didn't laugh, because the Colonel wasn't really conscious of us. Of course, he knew we were the songwriters of 'Hound Dog' and the new songs for Jailhouse Rock. He knew more hit songs for Elvis meant more money for him. Beyond that, though, he was more interested in putting on his own show than getting to know us.
He had his long cigar and his confected Southern accent. He was a nonstop talker whose ego was always on parade. He told us in great detail all he had done for Elvis - and all he intended to do.
'Elvis' he said, 'is going to be bigger than the president, bigger than the pope'.
Naturally we agreed.
Stoller: The Colonel had the kind of energy that sucked all the air out of the room, even the dining room at the Beverly Hills Hotel. I had little interest in the man. Elvis was the guy we were eager to meet.
The session was due to start later that week.
Leiber: My heterosexual credits have long been established, so I can comfortably say that the first thing that hit me when I walked into the recording studio and found myself standing next to Elvis Presley was his physical beauty. Far more than his pictures, his actual presence was riveting.
He had a shy smile and quiet manner that were disarming."
"Stoller: It's important to remember that on the day we met Elvis, he was twenty-two and we were twenty-four. We were contemporaries. Remember, too, that Jerry and I shared the uppity view that he and I were among the few white guys who knew about the blues.
In the first five minutes of conversation with Elvis, we learned we were dead wrong.
Elvis knew the blues. He was a Ray Charles fanatic and even knew that Ray had sung our song 'The Snow Is Falling'. In fact, he knew virtually all of our songs. There wasn't any R&B he didn't know. He could quote from Arthur 'Big Boy' Crudup, B.B. King, and Big Bill Broonzy.
Leiber: When it came to the blues, Elvis knew his stuff. He may not have been conversant about politics or world history, but his blues knowledge was almost encyclopedic. Mike and I were blown away. In fact, the conversation got so enthusiastic that Mike and Elvis sat down at the piano and started playing four-handed blues. He definitely felt our passion for the real roots material and shared that passion with all his heart.
Just like that, we fell in love with the guy."
"'Whenever I record' he said, 'I want you guys in the studio. You're the guys who make the magic'."
"When Elvis returned (after a studio break), his head was down and his demeanor totally changed.
'I'm really sorry, Mike', he said, 'but you're gonna have to leave. The Colonel came in and he doesn't want anyone here but me and the guys'. 'Okay' I said, not wanting to make any more trouble. And with that, I left. The next day at the shoot I mentioned the incident to one of Elvis' Memphis buddies. 'Don't take it personally, Mike,' he said, 'It's just that the Colonel doesn't want Elvis to develop a friendship with anyone but us'."

Happy Birthday @thelibraryismytardis / @ineedmyfriendback!!! I hope you have an amazing day! Here’s a new starter for you.
Orianna’s eyelids fluttered as she dreamed. Her long body floated slightly in the cave she’d sheltered in as the ocean’s currents moved. She could see multiple faces flickering in front of her. Orianna knew many of them were her own. She also knew the other faces all belonged to one person. It made very little sense, even with her gifts with illusions, and even with her celestial parentage. It was like nothing she’d seen.
She woke to slapping on the surface of the ocean with a start. Orianna drew in a deep breath, her lungs taking in the water as though it were oxygen. Her father’s voice filtered to her from miles away.
“Orianna, I’ve travelled as far as I can without getting into Neverwinter, it’s time to come ashore.”
Orianna was sure her mother was the reason she’d always been able to hear her father’s calls to come ashore. Thassa was neutral when it came to the world, but she had a deep well of love and compassion in her nature. Even if Orianna had only seen her mother a handful of times and mostly in the distance, she knew there was some affection for her. Even if it did feel cold and distant at times. She offered her thanks to Thassa all the same, and swam at supernatural speeds to shore.
Her hands and feet were webbed in a similar fashion to the Tritons. These were physical features that only appeared in the water. She listened to her father’s splashes continuing on the surface to locate him. It was a familiar sensation by now, and an eerily similar instinct to the sharks who were her siblings.
The odd things you put up with having a godly parent.
As she made her way into the coastal shallows, and onto dry land the webbing on her hands and feet disappeared. Her entire body dried quickly as she left the waves behind. Long dark hair flowed behind her, pale skin shone in the first rays of sunrise, and her dark eyes quickly found her father whose features she shared.
Orianna had also shared in his height. Her father, Ander Stormwind stood at six foot, two inches. She stood at five foot eleven inches. In another universe it would have surprised the people who knew her to see her so tall, but then she hadn’t struggled for food in this universe as she had in the other. It also meant, she was well muscled, suiting the supernatural athleticism granted to those who were apart of the sea domain.
“How was your mother? In a gentle mood I hope,” said Ander.
“There wasn’t so much as a cloud last night, let alone a storm. I’d say that’s as gentle a mood as she gets,” Orianna replied.
The father and daughter duo grabbed their belongings further up the shore. Ander still kept a sword at his waist, despite his adventuring days being well and truly behind him. He’d needed to go to Neverwinter for some supplies, and thought he’d accompany Orianna as she found her next job. She carried two gladius swords at her waist, two daggers at her thighs, and a trident in her hand. Orianna hoped to find an oceanic adventure this time.
As the pair moved into the trees, and onto the path to Neverwinter they heard a distant crash. Orianna stopped short, the sound of crashing waves in her ears in the aftermath of the sudden sound. It was a sure sign Thassa was intervening, urging her to investigate.
“Need to go?” asked Ander.
“I’ll catch up soon,” said Orianna.
Ander waved her off, and kept moving.
“You know how to find me,” he called over his shoulder.
With that, Orianna went charging towards where the sound had come from. The sound of the ocean got louder in her ears the closer she got.

FIRST disclaimer i 100% get ur mythology based matchings, the list ive got is based off of the song so theyre not all perfect matches :') However i am ride or die with pluto jimmy. pluto jimmy rules supreme
THE LIST (in order of appearance)
PLUTO, mr jimmy solidarity. others may look down on him for not being a "true" planet BUT MY MANS KNOWS HIS WORTH TT TT you have to love pluto for what he is...
JUPITER, mr goodtimewithscar. mostly because the dorks on earth call him failed star. scars cringefail ex movie star vibes are inescapable, even in space u_u. speaking of the dorks on earth,
THE MOON, ms pearlescent moon. this one has been discussed in depth by scholars more accomplished than i. i shall add no comment.
THE EARTH, mr bigb. listen i know i said that pluto jimmy was the only one i was ride or die for. but consider. BIGB EARTH. its the vibesss its the vibesssss. also the the earth and the moon being the nosey neighbours is special to me :')
THE SUN, ms zombiecleo. this one is because i personally do believe that cleo is more powerful that scar and that he should be jealous of her power. also that she *should* be able to eat time and space. i should clarify,
TIME, mr bdoubleo. patron of clocks, arbiter of night and day. hes the time king, ok?? i dont need to explain. also cleo wants to eat him.
SPACE, mr ethoslab. he gets to be space partially because of his deification by the fandom, partially as a duo with time bdubs, and partially because i think that cleo should eat him!!
BLACK HOLE, mr joel smallishbeans. now this one is part of my bad boys agenda. first of all black holes are bad bitches, and as a bad boy joel is also a bad bitch. second i find the trio of pluto jimmy, black hole joel and supermassive black hole grian conceptually amusing. oh yeah,
SUPERMASSIVE BLACK HOLE, mr grian dreamslayer. as the creator of the life series, i feel like hes earned the right to be the centre of the universe. also because his number of subscribers in comparison to other members might seem supermassive. mostly because i find the idea of the largest object in the universe looking at "smaller than average" pluto and losing his shit very funny.
PROTOSTAR, mr mumbo jumbo. partially because hes one of the youngest members, mostly because supermassive grian calls him "perfect".
TRIPLE QUASAR, mrs lizzie ldshadowlady. a quasar is a celestial body that forms as a result of a black hole, allowing her to match with joel :') i thought it was cute.
HALLEYS COMET, mr tango tek. as a firey, solitary traveller through space i thought it was a nice callback to season 8. also, i just like the vibes.
since those are all the celestial bodies or concepts mentioned in the song, this list doesnt include all of the life series members. i have a seperate list for them >:) but this is. already so long. ill spare you.
byee againnnn <3
oh these are very good i LOVE earth bigb that's very fitting! if you feel like it go ahead and send the others with your reasonings i'm always interested in these types of things!
it's funny how some of these also match up w the au that @germworms and i have been talking about cus we also made joel represent a black hole (the addition of lizzie is very adorable) and of course pearl is the moon!

A Love Between Subtle Hearts
just a wholesome little Razor and Bennet Drabble! Enjoy, I love my two little gay guys!
PAIRING: Razor X Bennet
CW: L-bomb, I guess
If you have any requests, feel free to ask! I will do NSFW, just nothing involving minors, or Razor, he is too innocent.
———————————————————————
The day unfolded like a painting in the Whispering Woods, each stroke of nature's brush adding vibrancy to the canvas. Sunlight filtered through the leaves, casting a dappled pattern on the forest floor as Razor and Bennett ventured deeper into the heart of the woods. The air was thick with the scent of blooming flowers, their colors popping against the lush greenery.
As they continued their exploration, the sound of a gentle breeze carried them to a hidden oasis—a serene lake nestled among the trees. The crystal-clear waters sparkled, reflecting the verdant canopy above. The call of distant birds harmonized with the rustle of leaves, creating a natural symphony that echoed through the peaceful clearing.
Bennett's eyes lit up at the sight of the lake, and without hesitation, he proposed a swim. Razor, though typically reserved, found himself drawn to the idea. The tranquility of the water beckoned, and with a nod, they decided to indulge in the refreshing embrace of the lake.
The water, cool and inviting, enveloped them as they swam. Bennett, fueled by his adventurous spirit, executed playful dives and somersaults, his laughter becoming a joyful melody that blended seamlessly with the nature around them. Razor, though stoic, couldn't help but be amused by Bennett's exuberance. It was a moment of carefree joy, a reprieve from the battles they faced daily.
Amid the splashes and laughter, Bennett's heart raced, not just from the swim but from a realization taking root within him. As they swam side by side, Razor's movements through the water spoke a silent language of strength and vulnerability. Bennett felt a connection that surpassed the bounds of mere camaraderie.
Surfacing from the lake, their wet clothes clinging to them, they emerged like water spirits into the warm embrace of the sun. Droplets of water glistened on their skin as they lay on a grassy knoll overlooking the lake. The world seemed to slow, allowing them to savor the beauty of the moment.
The sun began its descent, casting a golden glow over the landscape. The lake below shimmered with reflections of the surrounding trees, and the distant city lights of Mondstadt began to twinkle like stars on the horizon. It was a picturesque scene, a canvas of nature's grandeur blending with the subtle magic of their companionship.
Bennett, lying on the soft grass beside Razor, felt a sense of tranquility settle over him. He gazed at the changing hues of the sky, pondering the words that had been dancing on the edge of his thoughts since the lake.
Razor, ever perceptive, noticed Bennett's contemplative expression. "Think what, Bennett?"
Bennett took a moment, savoring the atmosphere, before responding, "Just enjoying the day, Razor. It's been... incredible."
As the day transitioned into the magical hour of twilight, the duo shared stories, laughter, and the gentle dimming of the world around them. The city lights of Mondstadt painted a warm glow on the horizon, and the stars emerged one by one, casting a celestial dance above.
Under the moonlit sky, the duo sat on that grassy knoll, their hands finding each other's. Bennett felt the weight of his unspoken words, and as he looked into Razor's eyes, he knew it was time to express what had blossomed within him since the lake.
"Razor, there's something I've been meaning to say," Bennett began, his words carried by the soft evening breeze.
Razor turned to him, the moonlight catching the gold in his eyes. "Speak."
Bennett took a deep breath, the surroundings amplifying the gravity of the moment. "Today, in that lake, I realized something. It's not just about the adventure or the thrill. It's about us, Razor. I love you."
Razor, typically reserved, looked at Bennett with a hint of surprise, then a subtle warmth. "Love too, Bennett."
Under the moonlit sky, surrounded by the whispers of the Whispering Woods, they sat hand in hand. The lake's ripples carried the echoes of a revelation that had deepened their connection, making the night feel enchanting, as if the very stars above were celebrating the birth of something beautiful between them.

A Thousand Times
Hi 💛
This is another Kendrick Lives AU installment. I have yet to post anything gearing towards Kendrick (I have something in the works, I promise.) But thanks to @that-scouse-wizard for being interested in this AU, I was able to build how the Talith would begin.
So it’s gonna be kind of similar to the First Date TLSQ but with some changes thrown in.
MC Friend: David Willows ( @that-scouse-wizard )
(Bro, this has been sitting in my drafts for FOUR MONTHS. Writer’s block is the devil, but I’m happy to finish this piece. Now for the other drafts glaring at me.)
Hope you guys like it!
----------------------------------------------
Talbott quietly snuck into the empty Charms classroom, holding an envelope and single hibiscus flower.
He’s been playing “secret admirer” for some time now to a certain Hufflepuff witch.
Judith Harris.
One of the infamous Curse Breakers at Hogwarts. The other half of the dynamic duo Tigress and Hound, Hufflepuff’s feared Beaters on the Quidditch Pitch. A girl with the controversial scar that everyone can’t seem to stop whispering about.
Talbott has heard about her long before he met her. It was hard not to, seeing how everyone in school loves to gossip about something.
When he met her for the first time, he had to hold back a wince when taking a good look at her scar. He’s heard different stories about how she got it.
Most common was that she was born with it or found herself in an angry dragon’s nest somehow.
Other than that, nobody really knows.
But he knew that the time, it had to be painful beyond words.
Other than her scar, Talbott thought she was rather pretty. Beautiful if he was being true to his feelings.
Something about her pale gold eyes spoke to his heart, even if he was adamant about keeping his distance from her.
As he got to know the Hufflepuff, he found himself intrigued by her. He never thought he would encounter a person with a heart of gold despite the pain and rejection they received.
He even rejected her offer of help when Merula snuck up on her, David, and himself. The blatant hurt in her eyes is something he would never forget.
But she didn’t give up on him. Helping him learn the Memory Charm in attempt to get Merula to forget what she heard.
Even going as far to help him to find his necklace.
He was able to call her his friend...
Until recently.
Not too long ago, the Celestial Ball was the latest buzz that overtook the castle. Everyone was eager to find a date to accompany them. Talbott didn’t think much of it at the time.
Until he saw Judith in Andre’s arms.
He was in his Animagus form, only wanting to observe the dance until he spotted her. Talbott remembered feeling like his breath was stolen from his lungs when he saw the painfully shy Hufflepuff at the refreshment table.
Her dress was a deep red and white. It hugged her upper body like a glove while the skirt flared out at the hips. There was a slit in the left side of the dress, showing off her toned leg. The sleeves were off the shoulder, revealing a lot more skin Talbott is used to seeing from her. Gold heeled shoes can be seen on her feet. Her signature accessories can be found on her ears with a simple gold heart necklace was around her neck.
Her locs were curled, framing her delicate face perfectly. Her face was make up free.
Even with her unsure sips of her goblet, her hunched shoulders, and a small frown on her full lips, Talbott found her endearing.
Until Andre popped up, asking for the next dance.
Which so happened to be a slow dance.
The ugly twisted feeling that settled in his chest didn’t feel right as he watch the two share hushed whispers to each other. All he could think of was,
‘That should be me...’
He wanted to be the one holding her close. The one looking into those mystical eyes while sharing hushed whispers. To feel her hand clashed in his own, establishing an intimate connection that only the two of them could feel...
It was in that moment that he couldn’t see Judith as a friend anymore.
But he felt scared to come out and say it. So he resorted to this.
Just as he was about to leave the note and flower at the spot Judith always sat at, someone walked in.
David Willows. Judith’s closest friend.
The Hufflepuff wizard looked surprised to see Talbott there. More importantly what was in his hand.
David was aware of Judith having a secret admirer. It was hard not to, seeing how the girl would have a flower tucked behind one of her ears and she would be smiling down at a piece of paper with a blush.
It’s rare for Judith to turn into a giggling school girl. So David found it a bit strange, but overall happy for his mate.
Though, it didn’t squash his curiosity on who could be this mysterious admirer.
Guess he found out the answer to his own...
There was a tense silence between the two wizards. Talbott felt his face flush and blurted out the first thing that came to mind,
“This isn’t what it looks like.” Brown eyes narrowed out of suspicion.
“So it is what it looks like,” he countered, slowly backing out of the classroom. First thing that came to mind was to find his little friend and tell her about her secret admirer.
Who may not be really an “admirer” based on his response...
“David, wait,” Talbott called out, feeling a sense of panic building. The Hufflepuff wizard paused, waiting for him to continue.
“L-Look, I-I... that’s not what I meant. I would never do anything to hurt Judith, if that’s what you’re thinking. I...” An arch brow could be found on David’s face as he watched Talbott trail off. The Ravenclaw wizard swallowed briefly before forcing the words out before he could think about them too hard,
“I really like Judith and would like to take her out on a date.” Both brows inched closer to his hairline as David silently processed the confession. Talbott fidgeted under the Hufflepuff’s unwavering gaze, waiting for him to say something.
He never confessed his feelings for the Hufflepuff outwardly before. The only other person knows about his feelings was his best (and infuriating) mate, Andre. And that was only because he got ahold of Talbott’s journal where he wrote about the girl and saw the few sketches he drew of her.
“So do it.” Red eyes blinked.
“T-that’s it? I don’t even know how to ask! I never even been on a date before,” he exclaimed, feeling the panic come back full force. David’s gaze soften ever so slightly.
“Just approach her gently and ask if she’d like to go out somewhere. Maybe to the Three Broomsticks or even the Owlery if you fancy somewhere more private,” he advised. Talbott mulled over David’s words silently, already having a place in mind.
“...That could work... Thank you David,” Talbott responded softly. David gave the Ravenclaw wizard an encouraging smile.
“You’re welcome, Tal. Now, go get her.”
---------------------------
Talbott was standing the empty Courtyard, sweating under his class robes. He sent his owl to Judith, asking her to meet him during lunch. He knew for a fact it’ll be empty so they’ll have some privacy.
The longer he waited, the more he could feel his heart start to pound in his chest.
That’s when he saw her stepping out into the Courtyard. Talbott quickly wiped his sweaty palms against his slacks as Judith approached.
He could spy the hibiscus flower tucked behind her scarred ear.
‘Good Gods, she’s so beautiful...’
“Hello Talbott,” the girl greeted softly. A small shiver rang down his spine as he heard her voice. He was always interested in hearing her voice, especially with her accent. It was quite clear that she’s not originally from Scotland, or Britain for that matter. However the uniqueness of her voice wasn’t the only thing that captured his interest.
The young teenager couldn’t put his finger on it but he swears he heard that accent somewhere before but can’t figure out where.
“Hello, Judith... thanks for meeting me,” he said. Judith nodded, causing her high ponytail to sway behind her.
“Of course, Talbott. You mentioned in your note that you had something important to ask me,” she said.
‘Moment of truth... there’s no turning back now, Winger...’
“Um, yes... I-I was wondering... W-Would you like to go out on a date with me?” Judith’s good eye widen sufficiently.
“Wha...” Talbott sheepishly rubbed the back of his neck.
“I-I wanted to get your attention... why I was leaving you flowers and notes,” he confessed. He watched as Judith looked around the area as if she was looking for someone to jump out at any moment. He coughed into his fist to gain the Hufflepuff’s attention again.
“S-so... would you like to go out with m-me, little bird?” Judith could feel her face turning red with each passing second.
‘Talbott is my secret admirer... this is really happening...’
“I-I would love to... if you’re sure,” she said, ducking her head. Talbott felt his body move on autopilot, taking her chin in hand to raise her eyes to meet his.
“I’m positive, little bird,” he whispered, giving her soft smile. He was rewarded with one of her own.
Unknown to the two, another person was spying on this interaction. David smirked, sketching the moment to pester the two love birds later on...
-----------------------------
“WHAT THE FUCK DID I JUST GET MYSELF INTO,” Judith shouted as she paced about the empty Hufflepuff Common Room.
Well, almost empty.
David was sitting on the couch with a small smirk on his face. Judith didn’t even need to tell him what happened that is causing her to having a mini breakdown.
After all, he seen them himself...
“What in the seven hells are you smirking for?! I’m in the middle of a crisis, you git!” David snapped out of when he caught the glare in his little friend’s eyes. A small shiver of fear threaten to run down his spine but he held it back.
“Believe me I know, a little birdie told me.” As soon as those words left his mouth, he regretted it as pale gold eyes stared at him blankly.
“I’m sorry, mind repeating that?” Although that was worded as a request, David knew it was a demand. A demand he better fulfill in the next minute unless he wants to return to his assigned bed in the Hospital Wing.
“I... may have convinced Tal to ask you. And before you say anything, he wanted to before I suggested anything,” he rushed out. A few seconds ticked by before Judith broke the silence.
“WHAT?!” He winced as her shriek pierced his eardrums before replying,
“He came to me and I said he should go for it.” Judith resumed pacing, mumbling under her breath.
“Sweet Gods have mercy, there’s no way this is real. No wizard in his right mind would consider liking me without having some kind of motive. And I said yes like a lovestruck schoolgirl! What am I going to do, what am I going to do?! Maybe I shouldn’t show up, Talbott isn’t serious about taking me out on a date...”
David narrowed his eyes at the pacing witch before letting out a frustrated sigh. Standing up, he walks up to his anxious mate, placing his hands firmly on her shoulders to stop her pacing.
“Now you listen to me, Judith Harris. You’re fuckin’ gorgeous and a good person to the boot. I think that Tal is dead serious about wanting to take you out on a date, he’d be a fool not to. Give it a go and if it doesn’t work out, then that’s life. Also, if Tal really is bein’ an arsehole, I’ll kick his arse from here to London and back again.” Despite her best efforts, Judith ended up giggling a bit.
“You would know better not to send him to London. Papa would mount his head on a wall,” she said with a small head shake. David chuckled alongside her, grinning at the fact he could ease his little friend.
“There we go! I don’t doubt he would. Now come on, let’s get you ready for a date, yeah,” David said with an encouraging smile. Judith blushed a bit.
“Uh.. yeah, we can do that...”
“Good, let’s find Andre. And don’t worry, I’ll make sure he doesn’t put you something ridiculous.” Judith rolled her eyes at that.
“He should know better not to try. You wouldn’t survive between you, me, and my dad.” David gave a smirk.
“Exactly, now let’s go find that style wizard.” With newfound confidence, Judith beamed at her fellow House mate.
“Yeah, let’s go!”
-------------------
Andre was just putting the final touches on the last dress he created when he heard a whistle sound off behind him.
“Andre, we got a mission for you. First date emergency.” Andre smirked as he turned to find David and Judith standing behind him.
He stepped back and waved his hand with a flourish, showing off his work.
“Bold of you to assume I didn't see this coming when Talbott started waxing lyrical about asking Judith out,” he said with a chuckle.
“Am I the only one who hasn’t noticed,” Judith asked aloud, a blush staining her cheeks.
“Yes,” both males responded bluntly. They both received a glare for their sass.
“Just shut up and explain to me my options,” she hissed. Andre graced her with a gentle smile before clearing his throat.
“I have three dresses for you today, Judith. One sleeveless with a black and red rose pattern. The second green and long-sleeved with a purple lining at the bottom of the skirt. The last is purple and gold, almost like a ball gown. Take your pick,” he encouraged gently. The two males watched as the small witch carefully studied each dress with wary eyes.
“Just how formal is this date? Do either of you know,” she asked. She only wore a dress one other time and that was the Celestial Ball. The dress was beautiful, but she couldn’t help but feel weird in it.
Especially when the only other thing that was eye catching about her dress was her scar...
“Something smart casual I reckon,” David reckon, breaking the girl’s train of thought. Judith did one last glance over at her options before deciding.
“I don’t want to look like an idiot by showing up overdressed... I’ll go with the black and red one...” Andre grinned, as if he know that she would pick that one.
“Ah, my personal favorite! You’re look fantastic in it!” Judith scoffed as she took the dress and ducked behind the changing screen.
“I’ll believe it when I see it, Egwu. This dress screams, “Outside my comfort zone.”, she retorted as she stripped and wriggled into the dress. She could hear Andre chuckling.
“You’ll love it, I’m sure of it.” Judith struggled with the zipper before getting it on. She slowly stepped out to show the guys. Andre gave her a bright smile.
“You look lovely,” he complimented. David placed a hand on the style wizard’s shoulder, as if to hold him back.
“Let her be the judge of that Egwu. What d'you think Judith,” he asked his little friend. Judith shuffled in place, a dark blush on her cheeks.
“ I like it… a lot actually… you guys sure it’s not… too much,” she asked. The dress fitted her perfectly and ended right above the knee. It showed off her developing hourglass figure thanks to her religious training sessions and natural genes.
‘So much skin...’ she thought as she rubbed her arm.
“Looks perfect to me,” David said with a smile.
“You look fabulous,” Andre chimed in.
‘Well I have my votes of confidence...’
“I-I guess I’ll take it then,” she decided with a small head scratch. David gave her a small mischievous grin.
“Right now, Judith, go get your bird boy.” Judith could feel her face heat up further but she gave her House mate a thunderous glare.
“David...” David’s grin turned into a nervous one at her tone.
He knew it well.
The “I’ll break your kneecaps if you don’t stop right now” tone.
He quickly ran out the room while calling over his shoulder,
“Enjoy your date, Little Tigress!”
Judith pinched the bridge of nose, mentally counting backwards from 10.
“That bloody git,” she grumbled under her breath. Andre shrugged before letting out a laugh.
“Maybe, but I'd say he's right. Talbott has been looking forward to asking you out. Good luck Judith,” he said before leaving the room himself.
“T-Thanks again, Andre,” she called after him before she was officially left alone.
‘Talbott being obvious about his feelings? Hell must’ve frozen over. And I normally would notices things but I never saw this? Ugh, no time to think about it. I don’t wanna be late…’
------------------------------
Talbott was already at the date spot, nervously biting his lip as his looked at his watch for the umpteenth time.
‘I hope Judith has a good time. Damn it Winger, why did you have to fall so hard for her?’ he mentally cursed himself. He could already feel like his heart was going to beat out of his chest and his date wasn’t even there yet.
He wanted everything to be perfect for her...
Speaking of said witch, she was walking up the tea shop, taking in the site of where her first date will be.
‘I would have never thought Talbott would choose a place like this. It’s rather cute...’ she thought with a soft giggle. She could spy the Ravenclaw wizard standing inside, looking at his watch.
She drew in a deep breath before releasing it. Smoothing down her dress, she walked inside.
“H-Hey T-Talbott... I’m here, I-I hope I’m not late...” Talbott turned around to greet his date but felt the words die on the tip of his tongue.
‘Oh sweet Merlin, how the hell did I get so lucky...’ he thought as he took her in from her curled locs to her white sandals. He caught her shy shuffle before he realized he still had yet to say anything.
‘WORDS, WINGER! USE THEM!’
“H-Hi Judith, y-you look nice,” he greeted. He got a sweet blush and shy smile.
“T-Thank you, Talbott. Y-You look pretty smart yourself,” she said, trying to calm her beating heart.
Talbott cleared his throat, trying to ignore the fluttery feeling in his chest when he heard her compliment.
“Thank you, sh-shall we take a seat,” he offered.
‘Goddammit Winger, don't screw this up...’ Judith gifted him a gentle smile.
“Yes, of course,” she replied softly, walking past him to sit at the table near the window. The wizard was quick to follow, beating her to her chosen seat. Pulling out her chair, Talbott gave the Hufflepuff a shy smile. Judith stifled a giggle.
‘He’s so nervous, it’s adorable...’
“Such a gentleman, thank you,” she cooed at him as she took a seat. Talbott felt himself flush a bit as he pushed in her seat before claiming the one across from her.
“Tea and scones I believe are the most popular item here, shall we order some,” he asked, trying to soothe his nerves.
“Yes, that’s perfectly fine with me,” the young girl replied. Judith paused before a moment before speaking again.
“It’s nice to know there’s a little tea shop in Hogsmeade. Do you come here often?” Talbott rubbed the back of neck, sheepishly.
“Sometimes... it’s tucked away from the main street so it isn’t always busy... Besides, I didn’t want anyone interfering with our date.” Judith chuckled a bit.
“Well, aren’t you thoughtful,” she said with a smile. The high points of the wizard’s cheeks darken a bit before he cleared his throat.
“Thank you, I’m glad you think so...” The soft clicking of heeled shoes approached the pair’s table, interrupting the two’s conversation. Madam Puddifoot gave the young couple a warm smile.
“Hello m’dears. Sorry for the wait, what can I get for you today,” she asked. Talbott cleared his throat.
“Oh, um... the tea and scones please,” he answered.
‘Definitely not the most confident response...’ he thought with a grimace. He wasn’t given a chance to ponder on this as the shop owner asked another question.
“Any specific type of tea you would like dearies?” Judith perked up to answer.
“Hibiscus, if you have it. Please and thank you,” she chirped sweetly.
“A-And nothing that can be spilled too easily please,” Talbott chimed in.
‘Why did I say that?!’
Madam Puddifoot let out a small giggle.
“Tea you can’t spill you say? I’ll see what I can do m’dears, in the meantime, enjoy your first date,” she said before walking back into the kitchen.
‘Ah... young love...’
Judith let out a high pitch sneeze, which reminded Talbott of a baby Kneazle.
“How did she know that this was our first date? W-well, it’s a first for me,” Judith asked, bewildered at the woman’s intuition.
“I-It’s a first for me as well... it might be because we come across as awkward? That’s what I’ve heard first dates can be like,” Talbott mumbled. Judith flushed out of embarrassment.
“O-oh... do you think we look awkward together then,” she deduced, nervous to hear her crush’s answer. Red eyes widen and Talbott resisted the urge to slap his forehead.
“Oh no! Um, dating has just never been my thing... I think Madam Puddifoot just picked up on that... I do like you, Judith, and I appreciate you for coming out with me,” Talbott said shyly. The girl’s blush worsen at the confession.
“O-oh, I-I understand. Even though y-you could’ve fooled me, haha... I’m happy to be here with you, Talbott,” Judith replied in kind, twirling a loc in between her fingers.
‘He likes me! He really likes me! Oh my stars, there has to be some sort of catch...’ Just as the thought crossed her mind, Judith saw Tonks and Charlie walk in and take the table behind the oblivious Ravenclaw wizard.
‘Idiot! You just jinxed yourself! Okay, it’s fine! Talbott hasn’t noticed them, so just play it cool!’ Judith cleared her throat before giving a nervous smile.
“S-so, tell me about yourself,” she stated. Talbott regarded her with an raised brow before answering,
“Oh well, um... I like to write poetry in my free time, usually when I’m alone. I like to take flights around the school on occasion... how about you?”
“W-well... when I’m not curse breaking or practicing Quidditch, I like to spend time drawing, singing, reading, spending time with my magical creatures, and practice some Muggle forms of fighting... a few of those activities can be a bit difficult seeing how I have one good eye, but that’s all you need to make it work.” Talbott was leaning towards the Hufflepuff, intrigued.
“I see, that’s rather interesting. I’d love to at learn a bit how Muggles fight, seeing how majority of them can’t use wands. And I’d love to hear you sing.” Judith gave a shy smile.
“I-I can teach you a thing or two. My papa taught me everything I know so I can protect myself. You mentioned wanting to be an Auror one day, s-so this would be a good way to protect yourself, just in case your disarmed. A-and not a lot of people know I can sing... but I don’t mind doing so for you one day,” Judith offered. Talbott smiled.
“I’d like that... very much...” From behind the unknowing wizard, the girl’s two friends gave her a thumbs up. Judith’s cheeks flushed a bit at this.
“S-say Talbott... do you mind if I ask you something?” The young teen gave his date an owl-like head tilt.
“Of course, Judith. What is it,” he asked. Sharp canine teeth gently nibbled on the soft flesh of a bottom lip.
“W-Why... why do you like me? I-I thought you liked to “fly solo”?”
‘Oh... it’s that question…’
Talbott took a deep breath, urging his racing heart to calm down before giving his answer,
“I-I… W-Well… I can tell there’s something about you, Judith. I can tell you’ve been through a lot, but that has never stopped you from being kind. Even with your kindness, you’re never the doormat everyone claims Hufflepuffs to be. That fierceness of your personality soften by the kindness of your heart… it’s magnetic… truthfully I was jealous when I heard that Andre took you to the Celestial Ball…” Gold eyes blinked at him like a deer caught in headlights before the girl shook her head.
“O-oh… there’s nothing wrong showing kindness onto others… well if they give me a reason not to that is. The way I see it is that everyone has a story, a bit of kindness can mean a lot. I-I know it did for me when I met Professor Flitwick and after everyone found out about my scar…” Talbott raised a brow at the girl. He remembers hearing about that incident from their first year. Though, he can tell there’s an element missing in that personal tidbit she just shared but chose not to ask.
“A-and I didn’t really go to the Ball with Andre. He just so happened to ask me for a dance. I was too shy to ask the person I really wanted to go with… not like he show up to the dance anyways,” Judith mumbled. Talbott was still able to catch what she said a frown.
Despite his distaste for large crowds, if she would’ve asked him to the Ball, he would’ve accepted…
“O-oh, I see… whoever you wanted to ask must be a lucky fellow… I know I would’ve felt that way,” he said, rubbing the back of neck sheepishly. Judith felt her eye twitch as she blurted out,
“It was you, bird brain!” Red eyes gazed into pale gold ones, stunned.
‘She actually wanted to attend the Ball with me?’
“M-me?! I-I mean, don’t get me wrong, I-I’m thrilled… but why me?” ‘And why not Andre?’
Judith ducked her head, too embarrassed to meet her date’s gaze.
“I… well… I always liked you… e-ever since we met in the Great Hall. Since you’ve taught me how to fly. Since David and I helped you find your mother’s necklace… Y-you’re mysterious in a magnetic way. Intelligent, witty, and a little sarcastic which I find amusing… you have many layers to you that make me curious… and I do find you rather handsome as well…” Talbott blinked for aw few moments because breaking out into a soft smile.
“Thank you, little bird. That was really kind of you to say. And I had fun teaching you, I always looked forward to it.” Judith took a peek to find those red eyes gazing upon her with fondness alongside the gentle smile. The young witch felt her heart skip a beat.
“Y-You’re welcome,” she replied softly. The pair stared at each other for a few moments in a comfortable silence. Talbott looked ready to say something until,
“WHOO! Go Judith!” Followed by a loud crash. Talbott quickly turned around to find a nervous looking Hufflepuff and Gryffindor next to a table filled with broken china.
“What in the name of Merlin-?!” Judith facepalmed at her house mate’s clumsiness.
“Damn it, Tonks…”
“Whoops,” Tonks mumbled, scratching the back of her head. The sound of heeled shoes clicking loudly towards the front of the shop was the their only warning before Madam Puddifoot appeared with a shocked gasp.
“Oh my! Look at this mess! Terribly sorry m’dears but I’m afraid I have to ask you all to leave so I can clean this up.” Talbott felt his heart sink.
“What?! Damn it, you two!” Tonks and Charlie flinched at the sight of glaring red eyes and a fierce scowl thrown their way. Judith simply shook her head with a soft sigh.
“Don’t worry about it, Talbott. Let’s just go…” Talbott returned his gaze to his date, saddened.
“I suppose so… I’m sorry this went so badly, Judith,” he said. The young girl stood with a shake of her head, walking up to his side of the table.
“Hey, don’t think of it that way. We could always walk back together… if you want,” she shyly offered. Talbott smiled.
“I’d like that…” Judith silently offered her hand to the Ravenclaw wizard, which he took before standing up himself. Talbott silently marveled at the feeling of her hand in his. Compared to his, her hand was small with long, elegant fingers. Her could feel a bit of roughness on her fingertips and palm but her skin was overall soft. Not only that...
‘It’s like her hand fits perfectly into mine...’
In the midst of his observation, Judith glanced over her shoulder, sending a glare over at her friends. They shuddered a bit.
“H-Hey Tonks, why don’t we head to Three Broomsticks. Butterbeer on me,” Charlie offered as he quickly ushered Tonks towards the door.
“Y-Yeah! Good idea Charlie,” Tonks agreed. The two spared one last glance over at the couple mouthing their apologies before leaving. Talbott did his best not to chuckle.
As sweet as his little date may be, she could be scary if she wanted to.
Judith smiled up at her date, gently squeezing his hand.
“C’mon Talbott, let’s go.” The wizard nodded before they headed out of the shop and into the night.
“Oh wow, we’ve must’ve been in there for quite sometime. The stars are starting to come out,” Judith mused aloud. This gave Talbott an idea.
“So they are and it’s a clear night too... Judith, I have a suggestion, if you’re interested...” Pale gold eyes regarded him curiously.
“I’m listening...”
“I was thinking... with the stars out... possibly we could go stargazing? The courtyard, Astronomy Tower, or even the Creature Reserve could be ideal locations to do so.” Talbott watched as full lips split into a grin as the little witch danced on the balls of her feet.
“Ooo~ I would love that! We can go to the Creature Reserve, maybe you could meet some of the creatures I’ve adopted.” Talbot smiled, pleased that he could make his date smile.
“Great! I believe the grasslands would be the best place. If we run into any of your creatures, I would be more than happy to meet them.” Judith giggled as she tugged Talbott along.
“Then why are we still standing here? Let’s go, bird boy!” Talbott chuckled, allowing himself to be dragged away by his cute date.
-----------------------
“It was a good idea to come here. I never thought to come here at night, it’s so beautiful and peaceful,” Judith said as they walked along the grasslands.
“It is, truly. Where would you like to sit? I’m sure you know this place much better than me.” Judith paused before speaking again,
“I would hate to ruin your suit by sitting in the grass or in a tree. I know there’s a rock formation where my Diricrawl prefers to be, we can sit there.” Talbott gazed at the little Hufflepuff curiously.
“I’ve never met a Diricrawl before, but I do know they’re very skittish creatures,” he commented as he followed Judith to the spot mentioned. The girl smiled.
“Rufflet grew to be comfortable around me, I’m sure when she sees that I’m here with you, she’ll open up. She’s a sweet little thing.” Talbott’s heart sighed at the sight of the animated witch.
‘Just when I thought she couldn’t get any cuter...’
Judith gave his hand a small squeeze and they continued to walk along the grassland.
“I hope you’re not feeling too disappointed about tonight,” she mentioned softly. Talbott shook his head.
“No, I’m just sorry that our date got spoiled. I hope you’re not too disappointed with how it went...” Judith let out a soft laugh before looping her arm with Talbott, stepping closer to the Ravenclaw.
“Not at all. I’m happy to even spend my first date with you,” she said with a small smile. Talbott felt a blush blossom on the high points of his cheeks.
“I am too, Judith... I’m glad you had a good time...” The girl’s smile widen a bit, a teasing glint could be seen in her eyes.
“How can I not? You were so nervous, I found it rather adorable.” Talbott chuckled at this.
“Was I that obvious?” A smirk was the girl’s only answer. Talbott shook his head as another chuckle escaped him. The pair walked in silence before finally reaching the rock formation. The pair settled next to each other side by side as they looked up at the night sky.
“I wonder if we’re about to see Aquarius tonight. It’s my star sign,” Talbott said thoughtfully. Judith perked up a bit at this information.
“O-oh! S-so you’re birthday is during the school year,” she asked. Talbott let out a soft hum in confirmation.
“Yes, the 7th of February. I try to keep my head down that time of year... How about you?” Judith fiddled with a loc, a small frown forming on her lips.
“O-oh um, it is... d-during the s-school year I mean... but I don’t really celebrate it...” Talbott bit his lip, worried that he upset her.
“O-oh, I see. If it’s too painful, you don’t need to tell me if you don’t want to...” Judith shook her head.
“My birthday is the 17th of October, the same as Professor Flitwick... only my dad and paternal grandmother would celebrate my birthday with me. Once she died and Papa and I moved to London, we tried to make the most out of it. My mother... she didn’t really care enough to even tell me happy birthday. Before his disappearance, Jamal would send an owl telling me happy birthday at least. Ever since I got to Hogwarts, I only celebrated with Professor Flitwick in his office. Other than that... it’s just another day filled with curse-breaking or practicing for Quidditch season...” Talbott hung onto the girl’s every word as she opened up more about herself. He empathized with her, seeing how he hasn’t really celebrated his birthday ever since his parents died.
But he wanted to change that experience for her.
“I see... if you’d like, could I join you for the celebration next year.” Gold eyes blinked owlishly at him.
“You... you would really want to spend my birthday with me,” she asked slowly, a small seed of hope blossoming from within her chest. Talbott nodded.
“Y-yes, of course.” Talbott blushed as the girl suddenly hugged him and slowly returned the unexpected embrace.
“That would be amazing, Talbott. Even though I can’t celebrate with my dad like how I use to, I know he would be happy that I have someone else to celebrate with me. Just so you know, I’m gonna find a way to make your birthday special.” Talbott smiled, touched by the girl’s words.
“Just as long you expect the same from me, little bird...” Judith blushed, separating herself from the Ravenclaw before he could see.
“S-so... you’re interested in astrology too? I remember spending nights stargazing with my dad and grandmother back in my homeland...” Talbott nodded, mentally storing that little tidbit before answering,
“Yes, I am. However, I’m no fan of horoscopes or the belief that they influence anything in our personalities. Though I must admit, they’re fascinating to explore.” Judith let out a chuckle.
“That’s fair but consider it this way: They can give you an idea on how a person could possibly be.” Talbott turned towards his date with a smirk.
“Is that so?” Judith nodded.
“Take me for an example. I’m a Libra, but I balance out my personality, see? Sweet and fierce. Aloof but caring. And so on...” Talbott cocked his head at this, thoughtful.
“That’s an accurate observation... as an Aquarius, I’m apparently intellectual and analytical. Which I suppose I am if you count my poetry as being intellectually minded,” he mused. Judith nodded slowly at this, looking Talbott in his eyes.
“Depending on the person, poetry can convey deeper thoughts and emotions. Taking on double meanings using a play on words. It can be well thought out or straightforward.” Talbott stared wide eyed at the girl before looking away, coughing into his fist to hide his blush.
“I see... that is... that is a very good analysis,” he commented.
‘Brains and beauty, what more could a wizard ask for,’ he pondered helplessly. In the midst of his thoughts, Judith fiddled with her fingers, embarrassed.
“S-Sorry, I do find poetry to rather interesting...” Without thinking, Talbott found himself saying,
“Perhaps I could teach you how to write it some time?” Judith perked up at this.
“R-Really? I would love that. Andre has mentioned that he’s seen you writing a lot more recently...” The Ravenclaw fought back a exasperated sigh.
Of course his nosey mate would tell his crush this.
“Well, yes I have. I’ve been trying to improve, often taking inspiration from things I find beautiful,” he mumbled, sparing a glace at the Hufflepuff. Judith had her head cocked to the side, much like a curious owlet.
‘Damn it, why must she be this cute?!’
“And what has inspired you lately, if I may ask?” Even though he knew the question was coming, Talbott couldn’t help but to freeze.
“Um... well... y-you actually,” he said slowly. He looked at the girl to find a wide pale gold eye staring back at him.
“M-me?! B-but, I’m not...” Judith fought the lump in her throat that formed around the final word. Talbott frown as Judith trailed off.
“Don’t talk like that, you are beautiful. Any of those idiots who bullied you would be lucky if you so much as glanced at them.” Now it was the Hufflepuff’s turn to frown.
“None of them would even look at me after I kicked their asses in first year. My social standing wasn’t that great even before the incident, that fight made it even worse. If people were scared before found out about my scar, they were terrified after the fact,” she grumbled, staring at her hands. Talbott could see the anger in her eyes, masking away the hurt that lingered underneath. Unconsciously, he reached out to gently raised the girl’s gaze to meet his own.
“I-I see what you mean... I’m sorry, little bird. I should’ve picked my words more carefully... What I mean is... I find you fascinating. And well, if there are people left in this school too short-sighted to see past your scar or your involvement with the Cursed Vaults. Those people are fools.” Judith could feel her heart race as she looked in Talbott’s eyes. She could see the sincerity in his firm gaze, making her blush.
“O-Oh, that makes sense... T-Though I-I’m curious. You... you weren’t scared of me when we first met? Or have you been secretly watching me? You strike me as a silent observer, I know I am...” The Ravenclaw smiled as he let his hand drop.
“No, I wasn’t. I was actually surprised you weren’t intimidated by me when you and David approached me about becoming Animagi. And... I do admit, I occasionally think of you and watch what you do in class but that’s about it. And I suppose I am... I do prefer to wait and see before passing on any judgement,” Talbott replied. Judith cracked a grin before laughing.
“Maybe a little nervous, but I wouldn’t say intimidated. I was scared you would find us annoying. And I’m genuinely surprised you don’t have more admirers or been on more dates. There are plenty of pretty and smart girls who don’t have a target on their back,” Judith said aloud, looking up at the celestial bodies above them. Talbott let out a soft hum at this.
“Maybe.. but to be fair, I’ve never been interested in dating until you came along...” Judith blushed, sparing a glance at the Ravenclaw.
“Because I’m fascinating?” Red eyes gazed upon the girl’s face with a soft look.
“Yes...” came the breathless response. A small shiver ran down the girl’s spine.
“If you don’t mind me asking, how so,” she asked quietly, looking up at the wizard under her curly lashes. Talbott nibbled at his lower lip before answering,
“Like I said before, you come across as warm to your friends, but you’re a force of nature towards your enemies. Like a tigress, you tear across the Quidditch Pitch. Your eyes...” Judith blinked out of surprise when the boy leaned closer to her face.
“Your eyes are captivating pools of gold. Breathtaking, beautiful, and so soulful... They’re bright like the sun and hold a comforting warmth like that of a flame alit at a fireplace. They speak for you when words can’t. That’s just some qualities I can name right now...” Judith fanned her heated face as she glanced away from her date.
‘I wasn’t expecting that answer...’
“That’s a rather unique answer. Something tells me I’m gonna find out more about how you see me,” she said when she finally got her blush under control. Talbott smiled at his adorable date before looking at the starry sky.
“I hope to find out more too...” Judith looked over at the handsome wizard, finding herself scooting closer.
“I just hope you like what you see...” She saw the smile grow a fraction wider.
“I’m sure I will...” Judith noticed how close how their hands were before forcing her gaze upwards as well.
‘I held his hand before, why am I suddenly acting so shy about it?!’
“There’s so many stars tonight and they’re all so bright. Makes you really feel small under what seems like a never-ending universe,” she said aloud. Talbott’s hand shifted closer as he leaned back a bit, his fingertips coming into contact with Judith’s.
“It definitely seems like it when you put that way...” Talbott trailed off, perking up as a stream of light shot across the sky.
“Look a shooting star!” Judith perked up alongside him.
“Oh! Quick, make a wish,” she said. Talbott glanced at the girl, biting his lip.
“I wish... that we could do this again some time,” he whispered, no longer looking at the sky but the beautiful enigma next to him. Judith noticed this and willed herself to speak.
“T-That’s a wish I would be happy to make come true...” Talbott’s smile could rival some of the stars twinkling above them.
“I’m glad, thank you little bird,” he said softly. Judith reached out, intertwining their hands together before looking away.
“Y-you’re welcome, Talbott...” The young wizard felt his heart flutter at the feeling of her hand in his, squeezing the smaller limb.
‘Yup, I’m too deep in this... Crap...’
Much to the flustered Hufflepuff’s relief, a little Horse guardian walked up to the pair, curious to know who was with his caretaker. Talbott was surprised to see the magical creature boldly walk up to him.
“Hello, little one,” he said softly as blue eyes blinked at him. The young Prolock walked up closer, nuzzling the Ravenclaw’s leg. Slightly bewildered, Talbott turned to Judith, who had a loving smile on her face.
“That’s Baron, one of my personal favorites. He was incredibly skittish at first, but grew to be more comfortable around me and the other creatures I have. He gives the best cuddles.” Talbott felt his heart melt as he watch the Hufflepuff gush over the horse guardian.
“I see... I never been the best with creatures outside of the owls in the Owlery,” he said. Raising a tentative hand, Talbott reached down and began stroking Baron’s head. The magical creature perked up, leaning into his hand happily. Judith could see Baron tail wagging as Talbott scratched him behind his ears.
The girl let out an elegant snort.
“But yet you managed to tame a Hippogriff? Come on now, Talbott. Give yourself more credit, I know Baron does. He already likes you,” she insisted. The wizard blushed a bit at the praise before chuckling.
“I suppose I can give Care of Magical Creatures another go...” A bright smile made its way on Judith’s face.
“You definitely should! I would be more than happy to help you. I’ve been learning about magical creatures ever since I was able to read. Plus, spending time with Professor Kettleburn and Hagrid helps a lot.” Talbott could feel his heart fluttering at the possibility of spending even more time with the girl. Talbott smiled at her.
“I’d like that very much, little bird. I do hope to spend some time with a Knarl. I’m fond of them, they’re just the right amount of suspicious.” Judith giggled.
“Then you and Ash would become fast friends. Little rascal kept biting my hands every time I tried to care for him,” she said with a playful eyeroll. The boy couldn’t help but to chuckle at the fond exasperation in her tone.
“I would love to meet him.”
“Play your cards right, and one day you will.”
‘If I play my cards, maybe one day I could have your heart…’
Talbott glanced at his watch with a sigh. It was getting late and they had to head back before Filch becomes an issue.
“Shall we head back to the castle? It is getting late.” Judith let out a dramatic sigh, not really wish to leave just yet.
“If we must...” Talbott chuckled at her.
“Believe me little bird, I wish the night could go on forever as well... maybe I should’ve wished for that instead, he playfully pondered aloud. He got the giggle he was looking for.
“I don’t think even a shooting star could fulfill that. Though, we could always walk back extra slow,” she suggested. The teenage boy squeezed her hand with a boyish grin.
“Yeah, we can do that...” With a few scratches from Talbott and a hug from Judith, the pair sent the Porlock on his way before making their way back to the castle.
“So, are you worried that Andre will grill you for information about how tonight went?” The Ravenclaw let out an exasperated groan, much to the Hufflepuff’s amusement.
“Andre is a good bloke who means well... but by Merlin is he one of the biggest gossips at school. It wouldn’t surprise me if I get ambushed the moment I step foot into the Common Room.” Red eyes glanced at the girl.
“What about yourself? Would David and the others do the same,” Talbott asked. Judith rolled her eyes.
“David is always pulling my leg one way or another. And I honestly didn’t expect Tonks and Charlie to crash our date. I don’t even know how they knew where we were. But I do expect the student body to make a big deal about it. A lot of them don’t have much to do with their spare time but gossip,” she sighed. Talbott gave a sympathetic nod.
“That is very true, they could do with keeping their nose out of peoples’ business.” Judith sheepishly rubbed the back of her neck, looking up at the boy.
“I hope you don’t regret going out with me once your peace becomes compromised...” The slightly larger hand holding hers squeezed gently.
“I think it’s well worth the risk, little bird,” Talbott reassured, giving his date a soft smile. One he would reserve for her and her only. Judith felt her face heat up at the sight, urging her fluttering heart to calm down.
“I-If you say so, Talbott... but I do have a serious question for you...” Talbott let out a soft hum, waiting for her to continue.
“I-I-If w-we do continue g-going out... h-how do you feel about meeting my d-dad?” Talbott pondered over this.
Talbott has heard about the 6′4 giant of a man who was the girl’s father. His first appearance was during their second year, when Judith tried out for the Beater position on the Hufflepuff Quidditch position. Andre had burst into his dorm room, gushing how he got to meet the man. He was an ex-Beater when he attended Hogwarts many years ago and was considered to be one of the greatest for his time. He didn’t take it on as profession however, probably to try to be present at home for any family he would have. The one thing that is undeniable is the love he had for the girl next him. While he’s never seen it, he can tell how much Judith adores her dad and how much he adores her. By the sounds of it, there’s no mother figure in her life so her dad is all that she has.
Talbott wanted to be with the girl, and meeting her dad would be a massive step for the both of them...
It was a step he was more than happy to take.
“I-I would be honored. Meeting a parent is always intimidating b-but I’d liked to give it a try... especially for you...” Judith fought back the blush as she smiles brightly at her date.
“At least you’re honest. Papa can be intimidating but he’s a warm and wise man. I think he’ll love you.” Talbott willed himself to breath as her words settled in his mind. If what she’s saying is true, then he could have a family. Something he hasn’t had since he was 9 years old.
He can’t wait for that day.
“I look forward to it, little bird...” Judith let out an airy laugh.
“I bet, bird boy... I do hope we can do this again soon... I never said this before but... I really do like you...” Talbott gave her hand another squeeze.
“As do I. And thank you, Judith. Perhaps we could take another trip to Madame Puddifoot’s with no interference.” Judith giggled at this.
“I would like that, I never got my “unspillable” hibiscus tea tonight.” Talbott chuckled, deciding to play along.
“Very true, perhaps she’ll give us the recipe. I’d like to try it sometime.” A smirk tugged on the girl’s full lips.
“I think she would have to kill us first.” Talbott returned it with one of his own.
“Or swear a blood pact to never tell another soul lest we suffer a horrific death. Judith threw her head, let out a warm laugh.
“That would sound about right. Afterall, everyone has their secrets.” Judith said this as they approached the Hufflepuff Common Room. Talbott waited for to finish entering the secret passage to enter her Common Room before speaking again.
“I hope to find out yours, I had a wonderful time tonight...” His hand that held hers, slipped free before finding the little Hufflepuff’s waist. Judith squeaked when Talbott pulled her flushed against his body, nuzzling her temple. Judith gazed up at the boy with a flushed face.
“I-I... I-If you plan on sticking around, you just might...” Judith stood on her toes, pressing her lips against the Ravenclaw’s cheek. Talbott stared at her, slightly dazed as she pulled away and out of his grasp.
“G-Goodnight Talbott, s-sweet dreams.” With that parting, the girl hurried into her common room. Talbott stood there for a few seconds longer before a smile broke out on his face.
He turned to leave the basements to his own common room, touching his cheek in the meanwhile.
