When you're having trouble sleeping, it takes him a while to notice because he either sleeps too deeply, or is too busy to notice the beginnings of the bags and dark circles under your eyes

But after the 3rd case of energy drinks gets put into the fridge, it clicks for him, and he takes a good look at you to see what's wrong

He'll set aside his work and ask you if you want to talk about it, giving you *the look* when you try to say you don't want to bother him with it

When you talk, he mostly listens to what you have to say, only interjecting when he feels like something needs to be talked about in more detail

He'll pull you into his arms and cuddle you to try to help you sleep better, which usually works, now that your mind isn't full of untended thoughts

But when even that doesn't work, he gets your consent before fucking you hard, not letting up until you're physically too tired to stay awake

And then he loops back a step, pulling you in and wrapping you in his love and warmth, watching you sleep with a tired smile on his lips

“Copia, would you save me if I was kidnapped by ghosts?”

All is quiet in the bedroom for several seconds, the question hanging in the air before Copia rolls over, his eyes bleary from sleep as he looks at you.

“Eh…what?” His tired face screws up in confusion. “Why are ghosts kidnapping you?”

“Don’t think too much into it, just answer the question.”

Copia has the good nature to look amused by your early, early morning question, his arms wrapping around you to pull you across the mattress, squeezing you to him like a teddy bear as he rests his cheek just above yours.

“Mmm, I would be very sad, amore,” he mumbles, closing his eyes as he nuzzles sweetly into your skin. “Very angry that ghosts took you from me.”

“So what would you do?” His sweet embrace is rapidly drawing you back to sleep, your voice soft.

“Ah, la risposta è semplice. I would summon an entire demonic army to save you and deliver the ghosts unto Satan,” Copia heaves a sleepy sigh, his voice growing quieter. “Their souls would burn in the pit in eternal hellfire.”

You stir and twist in his embrace to look at him. “Wait, you can do that?”

Copia hooks a leg around yours and readjusts you, his body like a weighted blanket to calm your racing little mind. He drags the covers firmly over you both. “Go to sleep, amore.”

You fall into silence for several seconds.

“I love you, Copia.”

A lingering kiss to your forehead, a soothing thumb across your brow. “And I love you, so very much,” he says.

So, time to analyze and rant about the cliff scene in Hannibal, I have very strong thoughts on it.

So let’s start from the top. Will and Hannibal kill the Red Dragon, finally completing their first murder together (murder husbands :D). This is what Hannibal has been trying to achieve this whole series, Will even admitted he enjoyed it via “it’s beautiful”.

There is no metaphors in their conversation, nothing, they are just seeing each other as they are with no double meanings. Compared to the rest of the show where both constantly have hidden agendas, this is a strong contrast, highlighting how they finally accept and understand each other, without any need for manipulation.

Will realized Hannibal’s feeling for him earlier, so this kill and the conversation following it is essentially his own confession to Hannibal. Thus Hannibal got everything he was hoping for.

However, Will realizes that they can’t live as “murder husbands”, it goes against everything he has been fighting against this whole series, despite how much he secretly enjoys the idea or his feelings for Hannibal. Thus, we see a clip panning to Will’s face, where we can see the moment that decision took place. In fact, the lyric playing at that moment is “Oh, the die, it’s cast inside my mind”.

He can’t live with Hannibal, can’t live without him. So his solution is simply for neither of them to live at all.

Hannibal doesn’t struggle against it, and willingly goes down with him, he already got what he wanted, so he has no complaints.

As for Will, it is his own way of accepting how the two of them feel about one another and not denying it again. The fall can literally relate to how he fell for Hannibal. But just because he accepts it, doesn’t mean he can live that life they both want, thus comes his decision. So he also still completes his goal of stopping Hannibal and not becoming a serial killer himself.

The fall is open ended. It is by design left up to chance whether they survive. So while for fanfiction it is nice to theorize their life in the future, I ultimately think they died in each other’s arms. After all, the loose ends were already all tied up. Both of them got the ending they wanted.

There is no better way it could’ve ended, despite how tragic it is. But for that reason it is also fitting. I’m just impressed they were able to think of this on the go when they had to deal with the show being cancelled early.

So yeah, here’s my thoughts. Time to go listen to Love Crime on loop again. I’ll post my analysis on Bedelia and her leg later :D

I’ve come to the conclusion that bachisagi is my comfort ship. There’s just…nothing you can say that’s bad about it. Their relationship isn’t toxic in the slightest yet it has a perfect dash of competitive flavour. Both characters are developed and well rounded while still leaving plenty of room for headcanons. Their interactions within canon are just so sweet and wholesome in a story that’s so full of aggression, betrayal and fostering hatred. If anything happened to either of them, the other would be heartbroken. While they don’t NEED each other to survive, they WANT each other (especially Bachira wanting Isagi). It’s one of the few ships in bllk that I can genuinely imagine working out. Like, their communication is top notch, their personalities gel well, they look after one another etc… ships like Ryusae may be more ‘canon’ (or implied idk) and I love them but to me they don’t feel like they’d last very long. Bachisagi tho — that feels like it could last a lifetime.

God I love bachisagi so much.
