~*~
The night outside lay still as Cove and yourself sat in the living room of your home. A cheesy movie played in the background as the two of you chatted, occasionally breaking conversation to make fun of said movie.
“Dude, he’s such a fucking idiot, why would he willingly jump into that thing?” You asked incredulously, smacking your forehead with your hand with a sigh.
Cove snickered, shaking his head at your exasperation. His ponytail swayed side to side at the movement, which caught your eye.
“Hey Cove? Can I do with your hair?”
The random question made his eyes widen a bit, his hand automatically going up to his hair. “Uh, sure I guess?”
You smiled deviously, going to sit up on the couch from the floor where the both of you hand been previously sitting. Cove eyed you nervously at your immediate change in expression.
“Under the conditions that my hair stays the same length and colour as it started.”
You simply smiled with faux innocence, gesturing to the spot on the floor in front of you. “C’monnnn, sit downnn,” you encouraged. Cove folded under your stare, sighing and scooting to sit between your legs.
You tugged the hair elastic from his hair, watching as it fell from its confines. For a moment, you sat and just stared at the green, thinking about what you should do. You could be nice and just brush it. Orrrr… you could put it into Sailor Moon buns.
The second option was the obvious answer.
“Stay here, I’ll be back,” you stated, standing up and leaving the living area. You grabbed some bobby pins and elastics from your moms’ room, shoving them in your pockets.
When you re-entered the room, Cove was miraculously still sitting there and giving you an inquisitive look, head cocked to the side a bit. You pulled the small box of bobby pins from your pocket and shook it menacingly. “Weapons of choice.”
Cove groaned, which you decided was from excitement.
You sat back down as you scrolled back to the tutorial you remembered seeing a few days ago. After successfully fishing the video out of your camera roll you got to work.
You followed the tutorial closely, with complaints from Cove:
“You’re pulling my hair.”
“That’s how you get it to go where you want it.”
“Ow, those bobby pins hurt.”
“It’s so it stays!”
“How many bobby pins are you going to use? They’re jabbing into my head.”
“Shh.”
Finally, you finished, beaming at your hard work. You fumbled to take out your phone, opening the camera once it was safely in your hand. “I’m done! Look,” you exclaimed, handing Cove your phone.
He blinked at the screen a bit before turning his head to get a better view of the style his hair had been beaten into.
“Hey, that’s the way that one anime girl has her hair,” he pointed out, gently tugging at the ends of the hair that stuck out from the bun. You nodded happily. It was a lot less neat as your would have liked it, but it made the both of you laugh until Cove took the hair accessories out and returned it to his normal ponytail. Boo.

Late Movie Night w/ Cove
Trying a different style of writing b/c fanfictions take more time and I feel like I need to give yall something because of my extensive break T_T <3 enjoy
-------------------
(This Step 3 Cove b/c he lives with his dad still btw)
⁍ Cove loves late movie nights where you two cuddle up on a couch and fall asleep in each other's arms. (It's more so because he doesn't need to ask you to stay the night, and it's an easier way for him to get comfortable sleeping next to you)
⁍ It'll be some sort of cheesy movie that you two talked about earlier or some TV show you like because he's naturally a people pleaser and enjoys seeing you happy
⁍ Even before you two dated you both had movie nights and eventually he decided to keep multiple blankets you specifically prefer and movies you like in close proximity.
⁍ Cove is definitely the type of person to mix different candies into popcorn, but if you dislike that he will always make you a separate bucket with normal popcorn. It consists of: popcorn (obvi), M&M's, different types of chocolate chips, mini Reese's cups (as long as you're not allergic to peanut butter/nuts), and mini marshmallows.
⁍ He naturally is a little bit of an overindulger yet somehow stays in perfect shape. But more on this topic, he goes to the store with you the day before or the night of, and you both raid the shelves of different aisles if there is even a slight chance you two might like something (he makes sure to grab the things you like, so when you ask if you should grab something he will say "Oh, I already grabbed it" and show you.)
⁍ While you two are watching said movie or a TV show, he completely melts in your arms when you press your fingers into his hair and lightly drag your nails against his head. He blushes and closes his eyes when you do this.
⁍ If you are lying on his chest facing towards him and you end up falling asleep, he will make sure NO ONE wakes you up. Even if his dad comes home late and he asks what's going on, Cove will immediately put a finger up to his mouth and whisper "Y/N is asleep".
⁍ He feels honored that you feel so comfortable that you're willing to fall asleep next to him and trust him enough that he will protect you. It seems like such a simple thing to any other person, but to Cove, it makes him feel appreciated.
⁍ In the morning if you're more of an early bird you make a grand breakfast for him which consists of pancakes, eggs, waffles, sausage, various berries, and other typical breakfast items. He will wake up in the middle of your cooking and is met with the strong scent of bacon and pancakes, which brings a smile to his face.
⁍ Eventually after his morning grogginess subsides, he makes his way over to the stool in front of the island and will watch you adoringly as you finish, not wanting to get in your way.
⁍ After you finish you both indulge in your very hefty breakfast and end up going back to your house w/ Mom and Ma and give them some of what you cooked because you made way too much (Not even Cove could finish it all, and that's surprising)
⁍ If you two are dating then he probably ends up going into a tiny food coma in your bed upstairs and you secretly sneak in next to him after he's asleep so you can cuddle with him.

Imagine Waiting For Shanks To Return To Tell Him Surprising News
Tumblr media
Shanks X FemReader
Rating: T
Warnings: Suggestive themes and a dagger is involved
Word Count: 1.7k
(A/N:) Hello readers! I should finally start getting back into the swing of things now that Christmas is here! I’ve missed writing so much and I have ideas I’ve been wanting to write especially about One Piece. Back in November I had went to see Red and to made me fall in love with the story. So now I have started reading and watching One Piece and Shanks and Zoro are my faves. So I’m starting out with Shanks but I have an idea for Zoro and an idea for Sanji so just keep an eye out hopefully I can write those soon! But I am still learning about this universe so mostly these imagines are just for funsies so don’t take them too seriously! X3 But it feels good to write again and I look forward to posting more! So until next time happy reading! ~Countess
You stood upon the shore of Foosha Village’s port watching the horizon as you did every evening as the sun began to set in the sky. The salty waves crashing the shore sent droplets of water to spatter against the hem of your flowing gown as the breeze billowed your hair behind you tangling it just enough that you would have to brush it when you got home. Nobody of the village would bother you at these moments, as you were waiting and hoping for Shanks to return and soon. Usually you were on the boat with him just another piece of his large crew. But the last time he docked at Foosha you were ill and couldn’t get well in time for him and the crew to set sail. So he left you with a house upon a private cove overlooking the ocean to see when he sailed in and in the care of Makino as he knew that she would take the best of care of you until you were well again.
“You won’t be long,” you had asked him weakly.
  He gave a gentle smile with a hint of sadness, “I’ll try my best. Wait for me to return upon that far horizon.”
“Okay,” you whispered falling back to sleep to escape another bout of nausea.
That had been six months ago and now you stood upon the sand watching and waiting with a protective hand over your swollen belly. Makino had fetched the village doctor when you hadn’t improved in several days and that’s when your pregnancy was revealed. Wedded to the notorious red haired pirate and now mother to said pirate’s child. You were nervous about how Shanks would take the news when he finally returned, yes he already had an adopted daughter in Uta, but having a baby while he was so busy was something you were afraid he wouldn’t accept. You also feared he’d leave you behind once more, only to never return leaving you alone to raise the child that he helped create.
You kicked at the sand in frustration as the familiar ship didn’t part the horizon like you hoped. As the temperature began to drop as the sun sank lower you shivered, you decided to go back home. Your older more comfortable clothes no longer fit thanks to your large stomach so you had to make do with the flowing gowns Makino dredged up for you. With soup bubbling in the pot above the fire you dished some out and ate before deciding to just go ahead and sleep. You hadn’t been able to sleep much lately as the baby was beginning to grow more restless and keeping you awake for majority of the night with their squirming and moving. It didn’t take long for you to slip into dreamless sleep as the exhaustion was starting to get too much to bear.
Shanks knew that you wouldn’t be awake at this hour but he had pushed his crew to make it back to you tonight. He had been gone a lot longer than he intended, and while he knew you would understand he couldn’t help but still feel that pang of guilt deep inside. Since getting to know each other you both hadn’t left each other’s sides in so long. So leaving you alone without anyone there at all times of the day was a horrible feeling he never wanted to repeat. His bed in his captains' quarters had never been colder since he had to leave you behind. Now as his crew were about ready to drop he had them rush through docking the ship and making preparations to stay for at least a few days. He had much catching up to do with you and preparing you and all the supplies for an extra person tagging along once more.
 With the familiar boat docked in the bay he searched for you, it was late but he was sure that you would still be up looking for his return. When you didn’t show up rushing towards him with open arms Shanks gave his men free rein to do whatever they pleased (as he knew they wouldn’t take advantage of the good people of Foosha) he made his way towards the place he had bought you to stay. Upon the top of the cove he saw your place all dark and lifeless. He couldn’t stop the panic welling in his chest as horrible thoughts came to his mind. Surely you were okay? Shanks rushed in catching the door with his one hand before it could bang against the wall, while he was losing his mind he knew that there could still be the possibility that you were just sleeping. His worries eased as he saw the freshly dirty dishes and the smoldering fire in the hearth, but he wouldn’t be satisfied until he saw you. So to the bedroom he went where the sight that he beheld made him suck in a breath. There you laid, sleeping peacefully, warm blankets pulled to your chin. Though covered he could tell the difference in your form. Gone was the shape of the woman who was used to fighting, sailing, and climbing. Now you were round and soft and Shanks knew that the feelings that were rolling under the surface wasn’t just from seeing you for the first time in forever.
It didn’t take a genius to realize that you were pregnant and heavily so. He sat on the edge of the bed not really wanting to wake you but having a hard time controlling his self. Reaching out with a calloused hand he brushed hair from your open mouth. Your face scrunched and you mumbled something he couldn’t make out, it made him chuckle. You immediately went into action, hand rushing to underneath your pillow, you pulled a dagger out holding it to his throat in a threatening motion.
“Who are you,” you snarled ready to slit your intruder’s throat.
“Hello to you too beautiful,” Shanks chuckled again and the dagger was dropped immediately.
“Shanks??”
“Yeah,” he sighed gathering you in his arm, “it’s me sweetheart.”
“Sorry that your first greeting back was a blade to your throat.”
“Not the worst greeting I’ve ever received,” he smiled cupping your cheek. “It’s good to know that you never lost those reflexes that you honed all those years sailing with me.”
“Well,” you pinched his cheek, “I can’t spoil my husband’s good name by being weak.”
“You’ve never been mistaken for weak and never will be. I’m the idiot who left you though in this condition.”
You hung your head ashamed, “We didn’t know. I’m sorry I didn’t send word to you. I was afraid you wouldn’t be happy.”
“How could I not be happy?! This is amazing and such a surprise. Who knew your sickness was just symptoms from being pregnant?”
“I’m sure the rocking boat didn’t help with the puking and bouts of nausea.”
“Yeah we rocked the boat ourselves on several occasions that’s what got you into this state in the first place,” the mischievousness in his gaze was not lost on you.
“Shaaaaaanks,” you whined punching his shoulder.
“Kidding,” he kissed you softly. “But not really, cause it is the truth.”
Moments passed by quietly as you just held one another basking in the presence that you both missed greatly. The sound of the ocean outside your little home bringing back so many memories over the years you both had spent on the high seas together. It was just a perfect moment that Shanks knew he had to interrupt, though he didn’t want to.
“Want to go see the crew,” he asked breaking the peace. “They’ve missed you almost as much as I have.”
Though your body was exhausted and you were embarrassed about how big you have grown, you couldn’t deny your red haired pirate or his lovable crew. “I need to change into something warmer and can you help me get there? The walk has been getting more difficult in my state.”
“You don’t even need to ask.”
Shanks held your hand tightly as he helped you down some of the steep slopes to the sandy beach below. While your little cove away had seemed so cold and lonely the last few months, this was the first time in awhile you enjoyed the walk with the warm hand squeezing yours with gentle pressure. Life without Shanks around was boring but mostly it was lonely. His warming presence was something you never really thought about until it wasn’t around. And whatever fear that had been pressing upon you, keeping you from enjoying watching your baby grow within you dissipated with his contagious grin. His ship came into view and you could see the guys buzzing back and forth taking care of the ship’s needs before theirs. You glared at your sheepish husband at seeing how exhausted his men were.
“I couldn’t help it,” he defended himself. “I was desperate to see you and so were they.”
“Treat them to a good meal tomorrow and some good ale,” you elbowed him.
“Yes ma’am,” he agreed wanting to stay in your good graces. As soon as the hard working crew spotted you with their captain a roaring cheer lifted into the night sky. You could have sworn the ship rocked even harder than the waves crashing against it with the excited men. You laughed using Shanks as a sturdy crutch as you waddled across the shifting sand. They tossed themselves overboard stampeding toward you and Shanks. Shanks pulled you protectively into his side bracing you behind him just in case his rambunctious men got out of control. But as soon as they saw your condition they skidded to a stop in awe. “Surprise,” you teased sheepishly. Silence passed before a loud roar sounded out and several sharp slaps to Shanks back left him staggering and his back stinging. Some of the men softly asked if they could touch their stomach, as they were remembering pregnant wives at one point in their lives. You agreed tears pricking at the corner of your eyes as they accepted you and the little one inside. It felt so good to have your husband and friends back and you couldn’t wait to get back onto the seas sailing with your family with a new addition in tow.

omg idk if u do nsfw request but could you like write jealous cove x fem reader nsfw? i think cove isn’t the type to feel possessively jealous but there’s times he can’t let it go but it’s not a like “your mine!!” type possessive more like a “im yours!!” possessive? IDK IF THAT MAKES SENSE SORRY
DW IT MAKES A LOTTA SENSE N I AGREE W EVERYTHING U JUST SAID!! i hope i lived up to your rq 🙏🙏 i enjoyed writing this sm
tags : NSFW, fem reader, jealous cove, service top cove, hand jobs, penetration, between step 3 and 4, you are in college, mention of wanting to marry you
(mentions step 3 "happiness" moment and you getting upset when cove doubted you'd still be together at the end of summer in step 3.
also i'm thinking abt the patreon moment n how cove likes just a hint of pain n runnning w it, i'll never recover from it!)
synopsis : cove is jealous and worried about you finding another man, so you ease his anxiety.
Tumblr media
you have always reassured cove that you love him, that he makes you the happiest girl in the world. you promised him that he doesn't have to do anything special to make you happy, that he alone makes you happy.
cove can't help but feel loved every time he thinks about it. and after you got mad at him for doubting the strength of your relationship, brought to tears by the notion, cove promised himself to never make you cry sad or angry tears ever again if he can help it.
but you're standing there, talking with a classmate of from one of your classes and you're laughing and he's looking at you with one too many hearts in his eyes and a darker voice in the smallest crease of cove's mind wonders if you'd like if he looked like that.
hair styled in a way that was casual but handsome, and a ribbed turtle neck under a cream jacket.
cove quickly dismisses that thought, knowing you prefer him in less layers and that you'd never ask him to change his style unless the weather called for more layers must to his chagrin.
unable to take anymore, broken by the guy putting a hand on your shoulder. cove steps out the car, easily taking long strides and he calls out to you.
"y/n!"
you turn around, happy as a peach to see your boyfriend and cove's heart throbs at how easily you forget about the guy in front of you. "are you ready to go eat? its gonna be lunch rush soon..." cove bites h is lips, wondering if thats a good enough excuse to get you out of this guys reach before he puts too many moves on you.
"yeah, just-" you adjust your backpack straps and turn to address your classmate but you step towards cove, taking his hand in yours. "i gotta go, but you should check the online class board, you can download the notes from there! bye!"
cove pulls you away as you barely finish your greetings, opening the car door for you but he slams his own door and winces but pulls out the lot nonetheless, making the drive back to your shared home.
"cove? what's wrong?" you put your hand on his thigh soothingly but cove just jumps at the sudden touch, his head hits the steering wheel, trying to use the break at the stop light to push away his jealousy.
knowing he can't hide from you, cove address you, looking at you with teary puppy eyes, not wanting to upset you but his heart is in turmoil.. "i'm jealous. i know i shouldn't be but- but! that guy was definitely hitting on you and i know you love me but i'm worried you'll leave me for someone better an-" cove whimpers, blinking his eyes as he focuses on the road again and turns onto your street.
"cove... i'm so sorry baby, i- i didn't even notice he was hitting on me. he was just asking about what he missed during class... if it helps, he's only in my elective class! we're not even in the same major so-"
cove cuts you off, quickly and smoothly parking the car in your designated space. "it's not just him. like.. baxter, or derek. i know we haven't heard from baxter in awhile but he was so smooth and flirty and confident. and derek, well derek is nice and reliable and.. i don't know." cove leans over the console.
"i don't want you to leave me for someone better, i know you said you won't but. i love you so much. i wanna be your's forever, i wanna marry you one day! i love being your boyfriend so much, y/n.." cove frets, pushing his head into your hand when you cup his cheek, fighting tears and failing.
"cove. i love you. you'll always be mine." you kiss his face, hovering over his lips, "you'll always be my special lover boy."
cove purrs, melting into your kiss. when you pull away, cove looks at you with hooded lids, "l-lets go inside..."
Tumblr media
you barely make it through the door, your hands running under cove's shirt and he trembles trying to put the key in the door, steadying when you wrap your hand around his and guide him.
when the door unlocks, you pull cove in, kissing his neck as you reach behind him to flip the lock and slip the chain through the track. "y-y/n, ahh.." cove mutters breathlessly, some other words escaping his mouth in a jumbled mess but you hear a stuttered "feels good" and you keep going, pulling him through the house to your bedroom.
on the way, your shoes are left haphazardly in front of the door and a trail of clothes breadcrumb the hallway.
you push cove onto the bed, stepping out of your bottoms and left in just your underwear, you help cove unbutton his shorts, pushing away shaky hands.
you slip off his boxers, deciding to take care of cove while he's still pliable. "shh baby, let me take care of you.." you settle in his lap and cove throws his head back in a shaky moan when your hand wraps around his sensitive cock, stroking him slowly and swiping your skilled hands over his weeping slit, knowing how to work your boyfriend's body in the best ways.
"y/n..." cove whines, bucking his hips into your hand as you grope him through his boxers.
"t-tighter, please.. ah!" cove groans when your hand tightens around his cock the way he likes, feeling a knot build in his abdomen at your increasingly faster strokes. "i'm, i'm close.. mh-" cove gasps, finger tips digging into your hips.
in his lusty haze, cove looks at your bra and works the front clasp the way you showed him. you grin knowingly, enjoying cove's blush as his eyes train on how your breast bounce when the clasp comes undone.
you arch your back, encouraging cove to play with your chest. his lips clasp on your collar bone, nibbling and sucking lightly so as to not leave marks but when you flex your hand around his cock cove bites particularly hard, sure enough to leave a bruise.
something primal inside of him feels pleased at that.
cove shudders, looking up from your chest to meet your eyes. "w-why did you stop?.."
you smile, kissing your lovely boy on the cheek. "don't want you to finish yet." you reach for a condom, urging cove to lean against the pillows.
you're not too worried about stretching yourself as you'd had sex the night before and only applying ample lube for what will definitely be a bit of a long night, thankful your classes are over for the day.
cove takes his place, shaking when you roll the condom over his sensitive cock. you straddle his lap, hands gripping his shoulders as you line him up with your cunt.
you sink onto his cock, moaning sharply when his tip hits your bladder from inside, your cunt sensitive and nearly dripping with your slick.
when you finally take him to the hilt, his cock rubbing all the sensitive spots inside you and reaching deeper than you could ever reach on your own.
cove gasps and holds you tighter when your cunt trembles around him, kissing you as you gently bounce on his lap. "cove, cove..." you mutter, breathless and your eyes water at the sensation of his cock dragging against your gummy walls.
cove grips your hips, grinding your hips together making you moan loudly. "can i.. *swallows* can i move too?"
you nod, whining when cove instantly bucks his hips into yours, taking the lead at your instruction.
you pull cove into a kiss, your tongues dancing together before the kiss turns gentle and loving. breaking away for air, cove trails kisses down your neck as you gasp and moan, his cock hitting your walls in a way that makes you leak with more slick and clench tightly around him.
"i'm gonna cum, fuck please cove! more!"
cove reaches for your clit, his thumb circling your sensitive clit as he brings you over the edge. "i love you y/n, so happy to be yours.. please cum, wanna feel you cum around me." cove whispers sweet and dirty words in your ear, "you feel so good.. ahh fuck, thats it.. agh fuck!"
cove trembles, cumming into the condom as your pussy tightens and your thighs shake on either side of him.
cove collapses into your shoulder, wrapping his arms around you and you both shake in each others embrace.
"i love you." you kiss cove's head, coming down from your orgasm.
cove kisses your neck back, his lips tickle against your sweaty skin as he speaks, "i love you too.."
"cove? what're you-"
you pull yourself off his lap, cove throwing the tied off condom in the trash and before you can get up he pulls you back into his lap.
cove's brilliant blue eyes drill into you, sparking the flames of your heart and your cunt throbs with need. "i still want you.."
you laugh, happily sinking into the bed with cove on top of you.
cove grabs a condom from the open drawer and rolls it over his sensitive but still hard cock, quickly sinking into your warmth.
he moans shakily, drawing his hips back and slamming back into you, your legs wrapped loosely around his waist so he can fuck you and still steal a kiss from you.
cove leans into your neck, his body supported by his forearms but he still looms over you. "i love you.. so happy to be your boyfriend, ngh-.. i-i love belonging to you."
you scratch down cove's back. "you're mine.. ah!" cove picks up the pace, ignited by you agreeing that he's yours.
cove mumbles happily into your neck, most of his chant muffled by his face buried in your neck; sucking marks and hiding at the same time. most of it is moans, but you hear a few "yours.. yours..." among his moans.
cove grunts at the use of the nickname, buoyed to go further and he reaches between your bodies to rub your clit.
feeling that knot in your stomach, you tell cove you're coming. "c-c'mon cove! make me cum, want my sunshine to make me cum!"
you reach orgasm together for the second time, cove dripping sweat onto you.
you both pant, the temperature making you squirm.
cove speaks first, "..i love you, love you so much. i'm sorry i got jealous.."
"its okay cove, if this is how its gonna be you get jealous more often!"
cove groans, embarrassed by your teasing. "carry me to the shower?"
cove pops up, bright like an obedient puppy. "yes!"

Hiii could you do a Vince Neil from Mötley Crüe x a male stripper Reader? And like they meet at a strip club where the reader is performing and he’s the only male stripper there and catches Vince’s attention?
A/N: Helloooo, so sorry for the late replay but between university and internet problems it took a bit. But still thank you so much for thr request I had so much fun writing it, I hope you'll enjoy it as well <3 Also yes, I named a character after a wrestler BUT IT JUST MAKES SENSE OKAY?!
Warnings: sensual moments
One of Vince’s favorite things to do when visiting a new city was to check out the strip clubs. It was even better when he was alone,because as much as he loved the Terror Twins, they weren't always the best company.Sometimes he just wanted to get a drink or two or four and enjoy some nice ladies showing off their goodies, without having to worry about Nikki lighting Tommy's hair on fire.
The swinging bat was a strange name for a strip club but it was not like Vince was going to judge a book by its cover: as long as he had excellent service and alcohol it was fine by him.
The loud music hit him as soon as he got inside. The club wasn't the biggest he had ever seen but it could defend itself, the interiors were black and red but the lights hit them in such a way that the blond felt part of a movie. It was a shame they already shot the “Girls Girls Girls” music video at the Seventh Veil because this one would have been perfect.
“Please give it up for Destiny!” The speaker said, making Vince’s head immediately turn towards the stage.
Destiny was a nice blonde with a red bikini who showed off all her curves. Vince immediately felt his eyes following her movements but he didn't get close, enjoying the show from far. She seemed to have already a group of faithful clients who were launching their money on stage and the singer was more than happy to start slow.
He wasn't shy. He just didn't want to waste his money immediately, making him seem like an easy target. However this didn't mean his body wasn't starting to get hot and his lips turned into a smirk once Destiny decided to do a split to end her dance.
The line at the bar wasn't incredibly long which the singer was grateful for. He ordered some Jack Daniels while the second girl started to approach the stage.
“Omg, are you Vince Neil?” A voice screamed, thankfully coved to anyone else by the loud music.
Vince turned his gaze to find a redhead girl in a leather jacket and shorts staring at him, with her head tilted as she waited for him to talk. His eyes immediately wandered up and down her body and he took a sip of his drink. Certainly he imagined his night to go differently, but who was he to complain? Work smarter and not harder, if the girl came to him it meant he had to take advantage of the opportunity.
“Yes. If you want an autograph, unfortunately I don’t have a pen. Unless you do.” He leaned in closer.
“A drink is just fine, I have an employee discount anyway.” She giggled.
“You work here? Shit, did I miss you?” Vince scratched his neck while passing a hand through his hair.
The redhead brushed her hand over his shoulder quickly, almost as she wanted to comfort him. It was so quick that someone could barely notice it but he most certainly felt it.
“It's okay, it’s my day off.”
“I’m glad. I would have hated missing you. But if I have to offer you a drink, at least I should know your name.” Vince said with a charming smile.
“Felicia” The woman said, putting a piece of hair behind her ear.
“Felicia, is that a stage name?
“Maybe… who knows.” She replied with a smile. Her eyes went to the stage for a moment then back to Vince.
Vince’s arms bumped with her, while he gestured to get the bartender's attention.
“Another Jack and Cola and for her….”
“Tequila, thanks” She added while the singer handed a bill to the bartender.
Vince finished his previous drink and immediately went for the second one as soon as it arrived. The singer didn’t say another word but his eyes were definitely doing all the talking. He made sure Felicia would catch him  doing a double take of her and then quickly drawing his attention to the stage nonchalantly.
The girl went along: she would catch his eyes, looking down, and then back up from under her lashes while sucking her drink through a straw. Vince knew he had probably been the first to give up so that she could feel important and wanted, but was curious to see how much their staring game was going to last.
“So are you on tour? Or just enjoying your break?” Felicia broke the silence first.
Vince couldn't help but smile in victory.
“I’m gonna leave in a couple of days for Dallas. Life on the road, you know? Gotta take every opportunity to enjoy the finer things in life… like you.”
 “You gotta do better than that! The clients are usually more original!” She playfully nudges his arm as she giggles.
“But are any of your clients the frontman of the hottest rock band around?” Vince placed his hand on her knee, just for a second.
“Touché. I’ve never performed in front of a famous star.” Felicia said, finishing her drink.
 “Maybe you can show me around the town and I can come see you here,tomorrow.”
Whatever answer the redhead was about to give, it got drowned by the loud voice of the speaker.
“Ladies and gentlemen give it up for Goldust.”
The unusual name made Vince’s head turn. He had never heard a woman choosing a stage name so unique and there was a reason for that: the stripper who came out wasn’t a woman. It was a man.
A guy with blonde hair, very similar to Vince’s but longer, a golden robe and matching heels that would make Vince’s band mate Nikki blush. For some reason the singer couldn’t take his eyes off him, attracted like a magnet by the intriguing figure.
“Is that a man?” He asked Felicia, gulping his drink down.
“Oh, Goldie. He is a new acquisition. A true hit with the girls and the gays, the boss doesn’t discriminate. Money is money.” Her tone seemed a bit annoyed but Vince didn’t care, his gaze was still fixed on the man who still wore his robe.
“So, what about we get out of here and I show you a nice club down the road?” Felicia ran a knuckle down his forearm, in order to get his attention.
Vince bit his lip. A part of him was begging him to stay and watch Goldust, especially since he had never seen a male stripper, however another part knew that the risk of losing the night’s score wasn’t worth it. It wasn’t like he could have taken Goldie to his hotel room, meanwhile Felicia was head over heels for him and he would have received a free dance the next day.
Goldust finally took his robe off to show a predictable golden slip and body glitter all over his chest. His fishnet tights were more visible now and contributed to give a splash of rock to the full glam look. God, was this what people thought Vince looked like? No wonder this man was so fucking hot, he reminded Vince of himself so much.
What he had seen was enough to convince him to make a choice. And like many times in Vince’s life, he didn’t make a decision with his brain but instead with his instinct ( and possibly his dick too). So he stood up, completely disregarding Felicia, and walked towards the stage.
A conspicuous group of people started to leave for the bar but Vince kept going as if he was in a trance-like state. The music, the smell of beer, tha chatter of the guys all seem to blend in muffled noises. He had a goal and he wasn’t going to stop. However he didn’t realize how empty it got around the stage until he found himself standing directly in front of Goldust.
Oh fuck. Why did his legs look so attractive?
Vince started to feel hot which he blamed on the temperature. He had never been embarrassed to sit in the first row before, actually it always made his chest puff with pride knowing that he was  the privileged one, the cool rockstar who could have all the girls and made them fall at his feet. But there was something about the blond guy that made his brain short circuit.
Goldust started to thrust his hips with such fluidity that the singer was impressed. The pole was positioned right behind him however the stripper seemed to enjoy teasing the crowd by brushing it. Goldie knew the power he held and Vince was feeling the full effects of it.
When finally the blonde dancer decided to hop on the pole, making his gold boots shine against the metal, Vince’s eyes bugged. It was something so different from what he was used to yet totally inebriating. Goldust's body went up and down, occasionally rolling on the floor with precise movements.
“Woahhhh” A guy’s voice squealed.
“I can feel you buddy” Vince wanted to say but instead he stayed silent.
The stripper fed on the attention and span faster while his long hair fell messily around his face. Fuck, that made him only sexier. Vince had to pass a hand in his hair since he was suffocating due the heat and sweat forming on his forehead, even if in this way he missed Goldie getting off the stage and through the crowd.
“Nice to see you, Greg” He heard someone say before a flash of blond hair brushed next to him.
“Fuck, he’s here. Notice me, please.”
The stripper's eyes locked with his for a second and Vince’s heart started beating faster but he tried to hide it by showing his usual smirk. There was no way the other man could resist the rockstar’s winning weapon of seduction. Goldust held eye contact almost as a challenge but he never arrived, instead he waved to a guy on the opposite side.
“I need to work harder” The thought flashed in his mind and he patted his pockets. If his pretty face didn’t work then a tip would do the trick.
When the stripper came back to his side, Vince was too slow to stop him but he was repaid by the guy’s hand brushing against his knee. What a fucking tease, the singer’s blood went all to one place and it was hard to focus on not having an accident. He wasn’t a 14 years boy who just learned what sex is, for fuck sake.
“Hey blondie, I got a little tip for you if you come here.” Vince mastered the courage to yell, while several of the people next to him turned their heads.
Goldust’s body did a 180 and his eyes lit up, he marched to Vince and tilted his back in surprise. The singer held a twenty dollar bill above his head and stared the other man down, his heart once again beating against his ribcage.
“You play hard to get, uh?” Vince scoffed.
“My attention has a price. That’s why we have the privé section.” The stripper shot back nonchalantly.
“And how do I know you’re worth the privè’s cost?”
Before Vince could register it Goldie sat on his lap, earning a few whistles from the crowd. His crotch moved closer to the singer’s while his arms went around Vince’s neck. He forgot when it was the last time he felt so needy with someone, usually he would expect the girls to jump on him but in this case he felt like the first time in a strip club all over.
“Thank you for the 20, sweetie.” Goldust whispered in his face before snatching the bill from Vince’s hand, putting it in his slip and getting back on stage.
The last few minutes of the exhibition were a blur for the Motley Crue singer, his mind still focused on the way Goldust’s hand felt against his body. But it wasn’t only that. He was livid at how easily he was wrapped around the other man’s fingers, how pathetically he tried to keep control only to melt once he felt the weight on his lap.
What was happening? He was Vince Neil, he was the one using girls like toys and not the other way around! He always criticized those guys who would get scammed by strippers spilling money out of them, yet he turned into one just for an ounce of attention from a guy he didn’t even know.
“Alright, five minute break and then get ready for our wonderful Kitty.” The speaker’s voice grounded Vince back to reality.
My attention has a price. That’s why we have the privé section.
The sentence kept swarming in his head as he made his way towards the bartender. It was probably stupid what he was about to do but since when has any Motley Crue member done something smart?
“A gin and tonic and how much for a private event with Goldust?” He asked.
“Ten dollars for the drink, 50 for the meeting. Show this to the bouncer and he’ll tell you anything.” He said, handing first a ticket and then the drink.
Vince paid and headed towards the red curtains of the private section, where soon a tall man dressed in black stopped him.
“Do you have a ticket?”
“Here.”
“Third door on the left. The dancer will tell you his rules, don’t make me come to enforce them.” The bouncer threatened while Vince raised his hands in surrender.
The room was definitely soundproof since it reminded the singer of many of the recording studios he worked at. It wasn’t unusual for a club but it also showed how fancy the establishment was, since in the center of the room there were two red chairs and an equally red curtain which seemed to cover another section.
He sat down, taking a deep breath and started to tap his fingers on his thigh. Now there wasn't much to do but wait.
Realistically no more than ten minutes were passed yet Vince started to feel like he was going insane. His leg kept bouncing and his hands ran up and down his leather pants in the faint hope of drying them.
Goldust wasn’t going to leave him there, was he? The singer had no idea how he would react with rejection because he never had to worry about it. A flirty smile, a cheesy pickup line, a heartfelt compliment or some goody money usually always work the trick. Then why did he start to bite his fingernails?
The door cracked open and the singer immediately fixed his hair, making sure his face looked as laid back as possible.
“Sorry sugar, I got caught up in something but I’m here.”
Goldust was wearing a white crop top and some daisy dukes instead of his stage gear, which Vince didn’t mind because he managed to look even hotter somehow. He stayed silent for a second just to admire him.
“Making a client wait isn’t exactly a hot move.” He looked the other man in the eyes but quickly regretted it when he saw the challenge in Goldust’s eyes.
“You’re a rockstar… Kiss, right? Oh no wait, maybe Bon Jovi.” The stripper changed the subject.
“Fuck you.” Vince’s face heated up. He could handle some teasing but being called Bon Jovi was too much.
“No wait, Vince Neil? I couldn’t recognize you without all that makeup!”
Usually the singer would have punched whoever dared to insult him but Goldust’s sarcastic tone only made his voice hotter. He was joking but still he recognized him which was something Vince could use at his own advantage.
“I know. I look hot with and without it.”
“Sure you do, sweet cheeks. So what brings you here? I never knew you liked guys.”
Neither did Vince or at least he thought it was a phase that ended in highschool when he let a guy, who had mistaken him for a girl, kiss him in a club.  If he focused enough he could still remember the taste of beer on the man’s lips, the strong cologne he was wearing and the strong arms who held him close.
“Sorry to break it to you but I’m a guy” Vince told him, once the kiss was broken off.
“Don’t worry. I swing both ways.” It was the man’s reply.
It was the first time Vince heard of the possibility of liking guys and girls. He took in the information and then shoved it in the back of his mind, thinking he could ignore it as long as possible. It did work but occasionally a guy would catch his attention, even if he never acted on it.
“Curiosity, I guess.” The singer’s eyes traveled all around the room in the attempt to not look like a scared puppy. “ I’ve never seen a male stripper before.”
Goldust’s face softened for a second. His mouth curved in a small smile and he tilted his head in curiosity which only made Vince feel like he was sinking in his seat due shame. He just exposed himself as a rookie instead of the playboy he usually was, serving to the other man the perfect opportunity to treat him like a toy. Which didn’t exactly bother him as much as he thought but still it was irritating enough to make his head fuming.
“I have to go over the rules, it’s standard. Number 1: no biting or scratching or anything too violent. I work with this pretty face and body so I can’t look like I got robbed. Got it?” Goldust’s tone was firm so Vince promptly nodded.
“Number 2: Nothing too messy so no piss or wax. Unfortunately if I mess up this room I’ll have to pay a cleaning fee and I don’t intend to.” The stripper looked at him again and Vince couldn’t help but move his head in agreement again, like a good soldier.
“And lastly: if you want to do anything that involves touching your dick, we are using a condom. Break any of these three rules and I'll have to call the bouncer. Understood?”
“Yes.” The singer's voice was barely a whisper.
Any joke, any rebuttal or remark was whipped from his head by Goldie’s authoritative tone. He hated how easily he could paralyze him, he bit his lips in the desperate attempt to find something to say but instead he was left with silence and millions of doubts floating in his head.
“So, what do you want me to do?”
Oh God, probably everything. Or nothing. Or both.
If some neurons were left in Vince’s brain by any chance, they were definitely burned after such a question. The whole butterflies in his stomach and rising heat in his body were getting ridiculous now, after all he was just a guy. An incredible, sexy, intimidating guy who Vince paid to be his for an hour. He was in control, even if the other person was a man.
“A lap dance,I want to feel you close like before.”
Goldust chuckled and disappeared behind the curtains and after a couple of seconds a very generic music started softly playing in the room. It wasn’t exactly the best but he put him in the mood which was enough.
“Sorry, we don’t have Crue songs. Maybe next time you can bring me a CD.” Goldie came back with a feathered boa which made Vince’s eyebrow arching.
The stripper ignored him and simply started dancing all around Vince’s chair. Just like before he loved to tease him: touching him with the boa, letting his fingertips touch his hair, bending down behind the chair only to quickly get up when Vince’s gaze turned. He made sure the singer got a taste of him but never quite enough, railing him up even more.
“Fuck, you’re terrible.” Vince groaned which earned a laugh from Goldust.
The performer seemed to have pity on him and finally decided to sit on Vince’s lap. They stared at each other for a moment, both of their cheeks red but for different reasons, before Goldie started to thrust on his leg. The singer’s eyes got bigger and his breath hitched but he didn’t dare to touch the other man even if his hands were begging to.
He just had no idea where to start.
“Do you want me to undress? Or should I do it?”
Instead of answering, Vince’s fingers automatically went to the hems of Goldust’s crop top and pulled it over his head only to discard it on the floor once he was done. His gaze indulged on the other man’s torso, which prompted Goldust to grab his wrist and run Vince’s hands over his side.
“God I love your siren tattoo.” He traced it carefully, sending a shiver of pleasure down the singer’s spine.
“Do you have any tattoos?” Vince wanted to facepalm himself but any of his cerebral functions were probably clouded by the sensation over his forearm.
“Two little wings, right above my panty line.”
Seizing the opportunity Vince slowly unzipped the daisy dukes, watching Goldie’s face shift in relief. Two inked wings popped up against the golden slip, simple yet beautiful. Fuck, he was really a fallen angel ready to join him in sin. This time it was Vince who traced the tattoo which only made the stripper thrust against him quicker.
“I love when people touch it, ugh. I put it there for a reason!” He enthusiastically said and stared his client in the eyes, waiting for the next prompt.
The singer’s mind went back to his first kiss with a guy. He felt the same longing sensation, the same knot in his stomach that desperately needed to be sorted. His mouth was dry, his face was on fire and he needed to drown his doubts.
So he got his face closer and crashed his lips on Goldust’s.
Without any hesitation the Goldie moved his hands into Vince’s hair, his mouth moved with as much ferocity as he received but the singer didn’t seem to back down and instead deepened the kiss. The more their lips moved, the more they felt the need to get even closer by touching the other’s body parts: hands running on arms, thighs and cheeks, quickly but never violently. It was just a desperate attempt to feed an insatiable beast.
When his lungs felt like fire and the air hunger became too much Vince broke the kiss. The sound of discontent that left Goldust’s mouth made him regret it, but the singer didn’t think he had anymore in him at the moment. The stripper seemed to notice because he started to rub circles on Vince’s arm, waiting for his next instructions.
“Are hickeys okay?” Vince asked.
“Usually I’d say no but I’ll make an exception for you. Just not too big or Cindy will kill me for finishing her concealer”.
The singer’s mouth approached Goldie's neck, his fear completely disappearing the moment he felt the skin under his lips.  He tasted like body mist and hairspray, somewhat familiar to what Vince was used to over the years as a Motley Crue member. Just like the kiss the more he tried to satisfy the urge and the more it grew, leaving his head just spinning uncontrollably.
“Mhhh” A moan escaped from the other man’s mouth and Vince’s whole world stopped. His ears started to ring but he didn’t care and instead focused all his attention into his job, while his face started to turn red whenever he could feel Goldust’s vocal cords moving. He was so close to losing control and just deepened the kiss even more, but the giant waiting to beat him at the door was a good reminder to not push his boundaries.
“Maybe we should stop… before ya know…” Vince snapped back into his body and slowly backed away from the neck. He didn’t realize how much he was lacking oxygen  until he found himself taking a huge breath.
“Awww” Goldie complained but didn’t protest.
The singer admired the red mark on the other man’s neck, the sign of his presence and property. All the shyness seemed to dissolve into the small smirk forming on his lips, this was the proof he still got it yet he didn't feel complete.
“Can you…” He vaguely gestured at Goldust’s collarbone. “ Can you return the favor?”
Goldust’s face turned into a triumphant smile and Vince knew he was enjoying this so much.He was basking every single moment in which the singer was destroying his rockstar facade to turn into a needy bitch. It pained him to pronounce those words but Vince was too desperate to care, and he could always count on booze to turn this night into his usual routine.
“Sure.” Goldie filled the awkward silence and adjusted himself comfortably to reach the other man’s neck.
Goldust’s lips lingered over the skin, sending little shock waves through Vince’s entire body as anticipation was eating him alive. He closed his eyes just for a second but he quickly realized it was a mistake, the desire to see the strippers’ face working on his neck was spreading quickly, so he snapped them open.
When finally he felt Goldie’s lips on his skin, he squeezed the other man’s thigh to fight the urge to scream. Everything was perfect… until the next song came on and it sounded awfully similar to a bell. Suddenly the spell was broken and Goldust’s mouth left him before they could even start.
“It looks like our hour is over.” The stripper said but his lips only slightly curved into a smile.
Vince’s blood froze into his vein and he had to physically restrain himself from wrapping his arms around Goldust. Since when he was so clingy towards a stripper?
He’s different though and you know it.
Of course he knew it and he also hated himself for that. He hated his brain for bringing up old feelings about guys who could only complicate his fucked up life more but he despited even more the childish butterflies in his stomach when he thought back to what have just happened.
“You should probably go.” Goldust whispered with a sigh.
“Do you want to see each other again?” Vince didn’t even realize the words exited his mouth until his brain processed them a couple of seconds after.
His whole face whitened as Goldust’s eyes just bugged out. He just ruined everything, probably flushed the possibility of becoming a regular down the toilet because how could they even look each other in the eyes after this? Vince wasn’t even sure he could have gotten out of there without banging his head against the wall.
“Like on a date?” Goldie’s tone never sounded so uncertain which only made Vince’s heart beat faster.
“Yeah. Or it doesn’t have to be. We can just hang out, maybe grab a coffee tomorrow morning?” The singer played with his rings.
“Okay. Let’s meet up here at 10 am.”
“Yeah, great… cool.” Vince nervously laughed.
Goldust smiled genuinely for the first time then he leaned closer and kissed Vince’s cheek.
“Now get the fuck out before the bodyguard kicks your ass” He said, pushing Vince towards the exit.
When the door closed behind him, his knees almost buckled and his head kept spinning. He felt so stupid yet so free. He was fucking screwed but he was going to make sure to enjoy every moment of it.

I would guess part of the comment issues in ol1 are the lack of a jealousy system like nobody can react or make comments because there is no jealousy at all I am hoping it is more natural in ol2 with there being 2 main lis plus an actual jealousy system even if it is optional
There is a little bit of jealousy! But it's all mainly in Step 1 and your typical kiddy jealousy😂 it's also just me splitting hairs really, but I get where you're coming from lol. It's not actually jealousy I'm looking for, honestly. I personally despise jealousy in any aspect for my own reasons, though I do get what you mean and I'm depressingly aware of how prominent jealousy is in the situation I've given😔
What I'm more looking for is upset - and I mean that in the most clinical definition of the word: to make (someone) unhappy, disappointed, or worried; to knock (something) over. (ie. to disturbe or unbalance)
LMAO, this got long, so I'll throw it under a cut!
Basically, Sunset Bird is the place where nothing happens and everything stays the same, until Baxter comes in and upsets the norm. The game writes many times that he's disturbed the peace and many characters respond to that in various different ways - mostly positive and slightly negative on Cove's part specifically. You, as the MC, have the option to take it as positively or negatively as you choose, of course!
I have a suspicion that, if MC takes it negatively then maybe others would too but, I don't play that route personally and it isn't really the point I'm getting at either. I want to see that upset happen, even in a positive viewpoint MC. I want to see Cove upset because MC has been flirting with him for possibly several years and he has been flirting back and he and everyone understandably thought you both had something, only to see you fall for Baxter like a rock in a stream, the moment he turns your head. It's not specifically jealousy I'm looking for, it's hurt and confusion and/or a need for answers from the people that surround MC and find their expectations suddenly trampled on.
"What about us/Cove?" is a very real question that should be there yet just isn't 🤷
An example of where the game actually did do this: The protectiveness from your family, that was A+ on the game's part but there wasn't enough of it, in my opinion. There should have been more worried dialogue from at least your family, if not your friends. Cove also has one moment where he complains about how he doesn't like Baxter flirting with the both of you but, again, that's not actually touching on the subject of MC so much as it is the both of you. It's also before any dating can occure so Cove is still 'intact' as it were... So I would honestly even consider that situation void because it happened before the flag triggering can changed him.
Even in Step 4, this trend continues! [violently rips out hair] There are scenes that should have such a bigger reaction out of characters but simply just don't because the mechanic for upset is entirely lacking!! It drives me crazy yo😭there's no deep 'sit down' conversation at all in so many places and it makes the emotions that the really good parts of the story pull out of you feel so cheap in comparison!
Tumblr media
Awaaahhhhh... This has just turned into me complaining lmaooo
My apologies😂I know there isn't anything to be done that can change it, currently, but it does just really upset me. In fact, how I'm talking about it here is exactly what I would have loved to see in the dialogue of the game!
The desperateness, the desire for answers, the deep meaningful conversations, just- [clenches fist] Yes. Everything would feel so much more grounded and real and immersive if they just let MC sit down and have a talk with these people about everything and have feelings get resolved and see bonds strengthen!!! It would be so Good!!!
Instead, I must sit here, depressed while Cove laughs off several years of character development like "ha ha okay then bro, very funny" like😭😭😭What happend to you, my sweat summer bean???

location :   uncle joe’s crab shack, fort lauderdale, florida.
featuring :    FRANKALLIE !!!!! but it’s an au in which they’ve never met
for :    @gallagherisms
Tumblr media
       it’s a red-hot florida summer, tide low, coast sandy, and the temperature’s already pushing ninety. saturday was meant to be her day of rest and relaxation in a rare week off from the yachting season, but so far all she seems to do is pick up the slack left by her brothers. she should be out in the van, tearing down the highway with dolly blaring from her tinny speaker, flowers in her hair and incense hanging from the mirror. she could even be tanning on an aft deck off the adriatic coast right now, a shammy in her hand and the sun on her back, had she booked on for another week of work rather than taking a so-called ‘holiday’. instead, she’s trapped inside uncle joe’s crab shack covering for leo while he plays hooky to nail some chick from arizona, because technically she owes him one, and when a castro makes a promise they take that shit to their grave. but fuck if she doesn’t wish she were someone else right now. take that cute curly-haired chick with the killer smile, for example — probably a holiday maker, sat with a bunch of other fresh faces, laughing at kai who runs the whiskey cove paddle board tours — looks like she’s having the time of her life, a stress-free existence, where all she probably has to worry about is what colour bikini to wear and whether or not she’s gonna let kai get the home run tonight. why do girls like that always end up with douchebags like kai. it’s fucking unfair. still, frankie’s trying to be a force of positivity, live laugh love in the moment and remind herself of everything there is to be grateful for, but it’s hard when it’s hot enough that it feels like sweat drips from the ceiling like stalactites, and her supposed ‘break’ has been pushed back so many times that she’ll likely have to go without. whatever. four’s only like, an hour away. she can manage ‘til then.
      can you check on table fifteen, it’s the big one with the out-of-townies, kelly’s asking her, loading frankie with another two plates before she can leave the kitchen, wince bitten in by her teeth. feels like being a stewardess all over again, but there’s a reason she’d made the switch to deck crew. she’s not good at saving face and sucking back how she really feels when faced with opposition. she can’t just lie back and think of england, never had a mother who stuck around long enough to teach her the secret handshake that held the code to being a girl.  “ can’t you just get bodhi to do it ?  i’m already covering, like, five tables, and those guys look super picky. ”  kai’s always asking for like, the weirdest thing on the menu, and then adding on a load of vegan, gluten-free, soy-free extras, as if he wants you to fuck up his order so he can write you a bad review on tripadvisor. the only thing worse than working when you’re supposed to be on holiday is serving people your age who are actually out having fun.  “ fine, whatever. i can get their drinks orders. but then i gotta take my fifteen minutes. let me just run these lobsters over to table twelve. ”
      somewhere in the short commute, the instructions get lost in translation, frankie instead standing before the HBO remake of forgetting sarah marshall at table fifteen, all of them fresh from the surf and smelling of saltwater.  “ two surf ‘n’ turfs ? ”  frankie asks, ignored at first, then clears her throat, asks for the second time, cutting through the conversation a little more coarsely.   “ anybody order these surf ‘n’ turfs ? ”   these plates are fucking hot. her eyes are kinda pleading with the curly girl on the end, and it’s only when she feels a tap against her back and a child’s voice that says, uh, i think those are ours...  that frankie realises her mistake.  “ balls. ”  embarrassed, she whips around on her heel with such a voracity that there’s no time to slow her roll, and there’s a body where an empty space is meant to be, an edgar wright smash cut to something wholly unexpected, like that scene where regina gets totalled by a bus. she smacks straight into bodhi, now outfitted in the contents of his two seafood platters, her own spread of steak and lobster flying into the customer behind her’s lap, too startled to even hear the gasps of the hawaii five-o extras or the kid that’s covered in chowder. prawns hanging from her uniform, frankie turns back to the to the customer ; a lobster now sits like a cat in her lap and beef dripping clings to her shirt.  “ holy fuck... i am so sorry. like, you have no idea. ”  kelly’s gonna put her fucking head on a roasted halloumi and vegetable skewer. cautiously, frankie plucks the lobster from her lap. in her head, he grows an animated mouth, tells her cheer up, kid, it might never happen. well it fucking has happened. the most ridiculing moment of her life, thus far.  “ please don’t tell my boss, i’m not even meant to be working today, i’m just covering for my stupid... jesus, why am i saying this ? you don’t care about my idiot brother. ”  foot in mouth disease. sighing, frankie drops down, and begins plucking the fragments of plate from the floor where the sad steak sits in a pool of it’s own trimmings.  “ um, i can like... cover your meal ? ”  she says, her eyes scanning back up to the surfer chick covered in surf ‘n’ turf, the full florida experience.  “ or your drinks, if you’re just drinking. ” though it’ll probably cost her the entire day’s pay check with the shit they’ve been drinking. it’s like margaritaville on crack.  “ look... can you just... tell me how i can make this up to you ?  because if i don’t then i’m not gonna sleep tonight. i’ll just keep seeing your face and bolting upright in bed like that rigged little dummy kid in monsters university, y’know. ”

( willa, she/they, 23, GMT-6 ) woah! was that ERIK DESTLER walking down main street? i heard they’re not actually from ivy cove but come from PHANTOM OF THE OPERA. they’re 32 and live in CORDOVA GROVE but watch out because they can be SARCASTIC + ANGRY but are actually INTELLIGENT + TALENTED. despite them NOT HAVING memories, you’ll always think of PORCELAIN MASK COVERING HALF OF FACE, DEXTEROUS FINGERS GRACING PIANO KEYS, EQUAL PARTS HAUNTING AND BEAUTIFUL, TROLLING PEOPLE INTO BELIEVING YOU’RE A GHOST, SEWER GREMLIN when imagining them. / ben barnes, he/him
Cis Man, he/him
Suburb: Cordova Grove
Personality description: Give a brief description of what they are like with strangers, casual friends, and loved ones, or a general overview of what they are like and why you chose their traits.
Simply put, Erik is a pain in the ass. He’s dramatic, commanding, pompous, particular, and just overall annoying to deal with. Not to mention he’s elusive, only a few select people have actually seen him. His reputation as the Opera Ghost or The Phantom of the Opera has made him too intimidating and scary for anyone to really challenge much against him. He is, unfortunately, very talented and very good at running the Opera Populaire.
He’s not close with many people. He relies on his elusiveness to maintain some control of the opera. Erik also has a history of people abandoning him or running away because of the deformity that covers half of his face. So he doesn’t let people in and choses to embrace his threatening aura and use it to his advantage. But, should anyone somehow find him, should someone explore the opera house after hours, they may find themselves speaking to a ghost.
He’s very kind to those he likes and those close to him. He’s very wise and obliging, willing to do anything for those who have stuck around long enough to know there’s more to him than just The Phantom of the Opera.
His life before Sydney was quite adventurous. He was born in France to a single mother out of wedlock. When his mother rejected him because of his deformity, Erik ran away as soon as he could. He was young when he was found and taken to be an act in a travelling carnival. It was there were he was horribly treated and jeered because of his deformity.
When he escaped from the carnival, he travelled. He was taken in by an old man on the outskirts of Paris. Erik learned to play piano here and picked it up with incredible easy. He was playing and writing music by the time he was six.
After the old man passed, Erik took up different jobs, quickly picked up skills to make money. He learned to build, to draw, to create things, but music made him the most money. He played violin on the streets, enduring the stares and harsh words from people until he had enough money to survive.
For a time, he lived in Persia, entertaining the king with his music and innovations. He learned a lot about architecture to make improvements to the king’s palace.
He returned to Paris and met Charles Garnier. He helped the man design the Garnier Opera House, which is how he learned to build his own secret hideouts and catacombs in the opera he built in Sydney.
Erik doesn’t remember anything of what happened in the plot of The Phantom of the Opera. He’s a much more rational person than in the cannon musical...which is saying a lot. He isn’t murderous or violent, just a prick mostly.
if anyone can actually manage to see him, he almost always wears a black and white suit with a black bowtie. Every strand of his dark hair is in place, making his white mask all the more striking. Because he can’t help but being dramatic, he has a silver band on his pinky and a ring with a dark red gem on his ring finger. Sheet music is so often found in his hand that it may as well be a part of his wardrobe.

--
They've always said a lot of things about him, and I've always heard them. But I've never quite believed them. Sure, I get why the dark things that have flourished in the poisoned soil that is Ketterdam consider Kaz Brekker the darkest thing of all. I understand the nickname 'Dirtyhands' for the gloved criminal who has fooled each crime boss at least once. I understand each terrible thing they've said about him.
But I've never agreed with them. I've never even considered agreeing with them. Until today.
The thought that maybe everything people say about him is correct in a simple context struck me worse than the silence after our argument. It made me feel like both a fool and hypocrite. Kaz and I have had our fair share of spats over the relatively short time we've known each other, but never like this. Never so badly he stormed out of the room before I could. I squeeze the book in my lap even harder, desperate to focus on the words on the pages.
You didn't hurt him. He walked away because he decided you weren't worth the cost of his expensive time. I repeat those thoughts in my mind over and over again, letting them bitter me further. It's a lot easier to be mad than hurt. A lot easier to fuel your pain than try to understand your mistakes. Besides, tiredness is already dredging around in my chest and if I don't calm down a little I won't be able to fall asleep.
I had escalated the fight more than I should have. Knowing Kaz is like performing in a tightrope act. One must always be aware of where they're going. Watching what's in front of them without ever thinking too much about what's beneath or behind them. Today though, when I needed my balance most I chose to fall. I chose to dive, and apparently there was no net.
"Oh, you're doing that thing."
I roll my eyes at Jesper's voice as I fight down a yawn. I wipe my face with the back of my palm before turning. The burning behind my eyes never resulted in full tears, but I feel better after doing so. "What thing?"
"That terribly noble thing where you find it in yourself to take full blame for every single conflict you and boss man fall into." The slight humor in his voice is enough for me to roll my eyes again. "Between you and me, I'm sure the reason he's so angry now is because you didn't do that for once."
I press my lips together as my chin angles itself upwards slightly. "I never do that." He raises an eyebrow. The slight sympathy that colors the look is more offensive than his accusation. "If I pick and choose my battles, it's for good reason."
"Clearly."
"What's that supposed to mean?"
He shrugs once before further entering my room. I say nothing when he sits at the foot of my bed. "Oh, you know," Jesper stretches back casually, resting his back against the wall and extending his legs, "You and Kaz--Kaz and you."
Has he been drinking? Perhaps he's not here because of my unusual absence from downstairs after my fight with Kaz but because he's already too tipsy to think right. "What?"
At my confused look he grins, flashing all of his teeth with an arrogance that outshines the whiteness of them. He taps the still open book in my lap. "Let me put it in terms you'll understand." Jesper sits up a little further, amusement clear in his features. "You two make a shameful Elizabeth and Darcy--"
"Oh, shut up," I groan, glaring at him, "This isn't Pride and Prejudice. And Kaz and I," Jesper's smugness returns when I can't quite think of what I want to say, "We're barely friends--we're barely anything, let alone what you're implying."
Jesper pulls his legs up and shoves me gently. "Dearest, y/n," he ignores my glare, "You should know better than anyone that 'barely friends, barely anything' with Kaz is more than it is with anyone else?"
"That doesn't mea--"
"You two say goodnight to each other." Once. Kaz and I said good night to each other in front of Jesper once. How dare he assume it happens regularly? He's right, but that doesn't mean I'm okay with it. "You play cards with him. Not for money, not for skill--"
"It's for practice." The look Jesper gives me is enough to tell me that my defense didn't land.
Damn him for ever finding Kaz and I on one of those strange nights. One of those nights in which he lurks at the stairwell...the one that divides my room and his attic. One of those nights in which it feels like he's a phantom and I'm the only one that can really see him. A night in which we both silently find each other.
I couldn't quite believe it the first time it happened. I'm not exactly a Crow--I don't feel enough a connection to the Dregs to join them without some kind of guarantee--but I was needed for some obscure job. but I was needed for some obscure job. The Crows needed an insider who could blend into high society, and I needed a place to stay away from my father.
It worked. I worked. And with each passing day I found myself enjoying the Crows more and more. That's why I stayed. That's why I started checking the stairwell practically every night, a set of playing cards in my hand.
The first time had been awkward. I couldn't sleep and my room felt too quiet, but the rambunctious club felt too loud and a little unsafe considering the hour. So I settled for the only space in between. When Kaz found me sitting on the steps and playing a solitary card game I had been so stunned by embarrassment I just offered to deal him in. I had been more shocked when he silently accepted my offer.
"Practice?" Jesper repeats. "You were laughing, I heard you."
"That was one time--how do you know we didn't just happen to play cards together the one time you saw it?"
"Because you laughed about a play you considered 'predictable'."
Sighing, I sit up a little straighter. "I'm not having this conversation. Occasionally saying 'goodnight' to someone who lives in the same space I live in and sometimes playing cards with said person because we both happen to be up at a certain time doesn't mean anything."
"And the way he looked at the contact that was flirting with you?"
Oh...this conversation again. "For the last time, the contact wasn't flirting with me. We had to dance to blend in and when he leaned towards me to whisper in my ear...it was to tell me the intel Kaz just had to have."
"And when he tucked that strand of hair behind your ear?"
"He just wanted to sell our cove--"
"Y/n, he kissed your cheek and I'm fairly certain he would have kissed you if Kaz and I hadn't made it to the corridor at that second."
Why is everyone so obsessed with what would have never happened? The contact had been attractive, tall with fair eyes and hair. But it's not like I feel anything for him, nor would I have been so foolish during a job. A fact that Kaz refuses to believe. I'm tired of this argument...I'm just tired. This job required me to start getting ready early in the morning and lasted long into the night.
"I wouldn't have kissed him and even if I had, the fact that Kaz is so mad about feels...sexist." A stupid argument, considering that Kaz couldn't care less if the person he's working with is female, male, or anything in between because the only thing he cares about is profit. "It's a stupid thing to be mad about, but you hit on anything with a pulse at any time and--"
"I resent that--"
"For the first two weeks I was here I thought you might've been a prostitute."
I can feel him holding in a laugh. "Did you at least think I was a good prostitute?" When I glare again, he finally actually laughs. "Not the point--got it."
"Then what is the point? You're bored and obsessed with gossip so now you're shaking me for information you don't need."
"The point is you're oblivious." Rude...I move my leg in a weak attempt to push him off my bed. Jesper catches my ankle easily, ignoring my attempt at a fight. "You thought the contact was only doing his job and you don't know the real reason that Kaz blew up at you for the first time the way he blows up at everyone."
"Okay, well since you know everything, tell me why he's mad."
He lets out a sigh like he can't believe I even needed to ask that. "It's not the best look that the first time you let him pick a fight with you happens to be about some guy."
...Maybe he is drunk? "Don't be so cryptic. I don't like you enough to put up with that."
Jesper half-sighs again before pushing himself off my bed. "I'm going to pretend I think you're smart enough to piece things together from that."
"Asshole," I mumble instinctually as he walks towards my door. "Are you not telling me because I tried to push you off the bed?"
He turns when he reaches my door in order to lean against my door frame. "It's not not because of that." I should throw my book at his head. "In all seriousness, think about it. If you don't you'll either kill each other or kill me."
Ugh...he's so confusing. This time, I let him go. He leaves he door open, which is beyond annoying. I stand up to close it, promising myself I will focus on my book the second it's in my hands again. As I walk back towards my bed, my eyes land on the deck of cards on my nightstand.
Does it send a signal I don't want to send if I don't go the stairwell tonight? Do I want to send a signal? I don't know...actually, the only thing I know is that I don't want to think about this a second longer. I don't ease as I read, but my eyelids become heavier with each word they cross. I feel the weight of them as my focus slips, farther and farther away until I can no longer focus. When my eyes fall shut I can't bring myself to think or force them open.
--
I notice my surprised before I register that I've just woken up. Falling asleep feels so far and yet the crick in my neck confirms the obvious. Rubbing the eyes with the back of my hand, I push my book from my lap and sit up. The only indication of how much time has passed is how much my bedside candle has melted.
How long have I been asleep? How did I manage to fall asleep? I thought I was too mad at Kaz to manage anything but pouting in my room. I hadn't even decided if I wanted to talk to him.
I stand even though I haven't decided anything. I should at least change if I want to go to bed. But is leaving this alone for even longer a bad idea? I think Jesper thought so...though my conversation with him is far from clear. It's not the best look that the first time you let him pick a fight with you happens to be about some guy. I'm going to pretend I think you're smart enough to piece things together from that. What does he want me to do with that?
Maybe he was partially intoxicated and felt the need to play the role of a good friend. Or maybe this is his idea of a joke.
Whatever--regardless of Jesper, I have a choice to make. A tiny part of me hopes it's insignificant, but I know Kaz enough to know that nothing is insignificant to him. He holds onto things the way he holds onto his kruge. Perhaps I'll seek out Inej, she seems to be the best at rationalizing. Though she might be asleep by now, or on a job or...I don't even know.
How late is it? Is it late enough to be one of the few hours Kaz claims to reserve for sleep? Maybe my bad luck is still around and he's already in bed for once. Does that mean his anger will extend to tomorrow?
I shouldn't care. It's not like I'm in the wrong. Did I escalate things? Maybe a little...but I won't apologize for defending myself. Even though that makes everything a little easier. I feel stuck, like in some kind of place of half sleep. A single knock at my door is enough to make me want to jump. I rub my eyes a little more firmly in hopes of waking up more before someone sees me.
I approach the door without worry. Maybe it's not as late as I assumed. Or maybe it's really early? I open the door while still fighting against my slight disorientation. I'm so focused on acting normal, I almost don’t register the person standing at my door.
I don’t know who I expected, or what--maybe Jesper, much more tipsy than he was before, slumped against the doorframe, only knocking because he’s too tired to push the door open. Maybe even Inej, on her way here to deliver some kind of job or notice of dismissal. But it’s nothing I could expect. It’s...Kaz.
The Dirtyhands stands at my door, expression as hard as ever yet something behind his eyes that burns the sleep away from me. “Uh--hi.” I bite my tongue to avoid cringing at that very awkward beginning. “Are you here to kick me out yourself?” The only response I get is the slightest shift of his gaze off of my face. “No? Well then I think I’m going to bed. It’s late.”
My tone and words are clear. Get out of my doorway, I’m in no mood to go back to arguing.  When he still doesn’t say anything, I’m emboldened by my nerves. I push the door between us without breaking eye contact.
Before the wood can meet the doorframe, he moves his cane, wedging it between us. “Y/n.” I don’t understand the way he says my name, but I’m certain he’s never said it like that. “I...” When he’s not prompted by the uncomfortableness of silence, I raise an eyebrow, my grip on the door tightening. “What I said shouldn’t have been said.” Wait--is he admitting fault? I’m so thrown I almost melt entirely. “Not to you.”
The addition leaves him so lowly a part of me wonders if I’ve imagined it. I’m so thrown by it I don’t even think to reply until a long second has passed. “You seemed to believe the opposite a few hours ago.”
His lips press together for a moment. “You didn’t ask me to play cards tonight.” He took that as intentional? At least that got me some kind of apology? I keep my mouth shut, greed making me want more information. I guess he must sense my silent tugging because he head inclines slightly. “Don’t push.”
I fight down a grin. “Push what?” His only response to stiffen further. “I’m going to tell you something as a peace offering.” That seems to intrigue him in some way. I can’t tell if it’s a good kind of interested, but I note the slight raise of his eyebrows and his intentional silence. “I didn’t chose not to ask you to play cards.” He gives me no indication of anything, which is fair...considering my vagueness. “I was mad, obviously, and in the middle of deciding on a course of action...and then I fell asleep.”
A long pause of silence. “You fell asleep?”
I’m not sure if his incredulous tone should offend me or not. If I wanted to lie, I’d like to think he knows me well enough to know that I’d have thought of a better excuse than that. Or at least a less embarrassing one. “Yes, it’s not that difficult to believe. Today had been long and all I wanted to do was read, but then Jesper came in to say the oddest things and then leave me to...”
Oh--oh. I guess there’s a reason people say to ‘sleep on’ something. Because now, actively remembering Jesper’s words for the first time since I fell asleep...I understand what Jesper was implying in the oddest way possible. He meant that Kaz and I...that perhaps there is a Kaz and I in a context that’s more than just grammatical. Wow. I really had to realize this with Kaz right in front of me.
My face feels warmer than it did before, an irrational bout of anxiety forcing me to consider that me might be able to read impossible, embarrassing thoughts from my expression alone.
“What did Jesper say?” I’m too lost in my own spiral of confusion and panic and some feeling I can’t recognize to register how Kaz asks his question. There’s an edge to it, an odd one, but that could easily just be Kaz.
This is most definitely the last conversation we need to be having. I’m still mad at him for his earlier dramatics. So I just shake my head, feigning an exhaustion I could lose myself in. “Nothing and everything all at once.” I resist the urge to rub my eyes again. “I’m pretty sure he was drinking, and I wasn’t really listening. I was just trying to read.”
Kaz’s expression hardens briefly as he takes in my words, and then he exhales, nodding once with the breath. “What were you reading?”
My lips part instinctually, ready to spew off details about the latest novel that’s captured my attention. But before I can let myself take off, the reality of the situation strikes me directly in the chest. This is not Nina, or Inej, or even Jesper after what he considers a ‘good night’. This is Kaz Brekker, the man believed to not have a soul. I’ve spoken to him before about casual things, though most of the nights in which we end up playing cards or just sitting near each other are spent in silence. But he’s never prompted me before. Not in the one topic he knows is guaranteed to turn me into an overenthusiastic, gushing fountain of poor summaries and character analysis.
I guess this is his peace offering. This shouldn’t warm the way it does. He was still unbelievably dramatic and treated me like I’m some kind of unreliable fool. “It’s late, and you know how I can be. I’d hate to keep you for nothing more than a poor summary and honestly, an embarrassing rant about plot or characters, because there’s just nothing as frustrating as when two people so clearly care about each other and both are too stubborn and oblivious to acknowledge it.”
Kaz’s eyebrows draw together just enough for me to be able to make out a shift of expression in the poor light. Perhaps his lingering irritation is preparing to rear its ugly head. The corner of his mouth seems to threaten to tilt upwards as Kaz angles his head to the side slightly. “I can’t imagine that position.”
No kidding. I bite my tongue to keep the sarcastic comment and awkward laugh that would sure follow it away. “Who can? That’s like half the point of reading.”
How can interaction feel so over and just at its beginning all at once? I press my lips together to avoid filling the silence with things I’d no doubt instantly regret. It’s easy to be mad at Kaz in the moment. Too easy. But to stay mad at him when his temper has passed and he returns with some kind of begrudging and admittedly awkward and uncertain truce is another task entirely.
“I’ve never understood your attachment to written words.”
“It’s not about understanding, it’s about everything else.”
“And you say I’m cryptic.” Is he...kinda almost joking? I straighten my spine, too tired to fight and too wounded to forgive. “There’s understanding in everything, nothing can survive on sentiment alone.”
“If you read the way I did, you’d understand.”
His lips press together as his expression remains unwavering in its hardness. “Read to me.”
...Interacting with Kaz in any way often leaves me feeling like I’m wandering through unknown territory. But this, this is undeniably different. So different I can’t even think of a way to react. I watch his expression as cautiously as possible. He’s purely reserved, no distinction from the look he wears during business propositions. Except there’s a tightness I can’t quite understand.
Maybe it’s because I don’t want to fight anymore. Maybe it’s because exhaustion is leaving me partially delirious. Or maybe it’s the weird feeling in my chest that I can’t quite place. That I don’t want to place. “Okay.” I shift carefully. “If for no other reason then to prove you wrong.”
Never did I think I’d end up in the position of sitting in my bed, book in hand, with Kaz Brekker sitting next to me. But here we are. I’m so tired, I almost let out a nervous laugh when he first walked in. So brooding and tall, gripping the head of his head cane as he sits at the foot of my bed, on my pastel quilt.
I’m glad for the excuse to keep my gaze away from him and on the words in front of me. I read out loud, feeling more and more comfortable with each page I finish. But as my inhibitions slip away, so dos my hold on consciousness. My eyelids seem to grow heavier with each word that I read.
“You’re falling asleep.”
I straighten my spine on instinct. “Am not.” I’m not sure why I feel the need to deny something so simple.
“You’re impossible.”
From him, that statement is laugh worthy. “I’m impossible? Do you not remember earlier today?”
From the way his jaw locks, I realize that he’s in no mood to be light about this topic. I don’t understand why. It’s not like I’m the one that wronged him. “I remember your lack of focus.”
Keeping my hands at my side to avoid rubbing my eyes, I frown. “If you want to have this argument again, fine. Jesper is more ‘distracted’ than me half the time and you’re much more lenient on him. It’s not like I was flirting with someone or gambling or doing anything but having a two second conversation. One that I needed to have to get information that you wanted.”
The last time we fought, I had more energy to restrain myself. This could be atomic. I hold my breath, waiting for Kaz’s retaliation. He exhales, eyes not meeting mine. “Arguing with you when you’re present is exhausting enough. It’s not worth it when you’re half asleep.”
This angers me further. I hate that he’s right. “I’m not half asleep.” He leaves it at that. I glare even harder at him, slumping further into my bed. “But for the sake of argument, I’ll drop it. Something you’re incapable of doing.”
At that, his eyes meet mine. I try to hold his gaze, but the harder I think about not seeming tired the more exhaustion slips in. A yawn escapes me before he looks away. Great. “I know when to lie in the grass in wait.”
Rolling my eyes, I shift back slightly. He’s incapable of being less dramatic than this. Still, I can’t imagine the effort it’s taking on his part to not start an argument. Maybe this is why Jesper spent so long implying that there may be a Kaz and I in any capacity beyond a vague kind of friendship. “I’ll admit you’re tactful.”
“Resourceful people recognize that trait in other people.”
Blinking twice, I lower my book slightly. Am I truly exhausted, or did he just compliment me in a way? “Careful, I may start to think you find me tolerable.”
“Let’s not exaggerate.” Okay, now I know I’m exhausted because I think he might have just attempted a joke. Rolling my eyes, I decide not to acknowledge this lightness in fear that I’ll scare it away. “Y/n?”
I press my lips together, worried about the destruction of our peace. “Yes?”
“What did Jesper say to you? Earlier?” I pause, slightly unsure why we’re moving backwards.
We’re in a decent place now, and I’d hate to ruin it. I’m too half asleep to lie eloquently. And it’s not like he’s an easily convinced man. “Oh, he said it so cryptically it took me longer than it should have to understand. And it didn’t help that it was something so...well, you might find it funny. As funny as you find anything, anyways.” Wow...I’ve spent such a long time talking. Rubbing the back of my eyes, I avoid his gaze. Exhaustion and awkwardness mix in my stomach oddly. “It seemed like he was trying to imply that you and I...me and you...” Why is this a difficult thing to say? It’s not like I was implying it and Jesper’s known for his oddness. “I think Jesper was implying that there was a you and I, or at least that there could be.” I’m too lost in a haze of almost sleep to watch his reaction. I let my head rest against my headboard even further. “Isn’t that odd?”
He’s quiet for a long second, and then he finally speaks again. “Odd, even for Jesper.” The response doesn’t satiate me...what’s that about? I exhale, deciding that feeling is tomorrow’s problem. When I blink, I decide to let my eyes stay closed. Just for a moment. The sound of something shifting is what makes my eyes squint open. Kaz is standing, his expression unreadable as he straightens. “Goodnight, y/n.”
At that, I sit up slightly, ignoring the exhaustion behind my eyes. “I haven’t finished the chapter.”
“You’ve convinced me of enough.” A concession? How exhausted do I seem? My lips press together as I think of my next argument. Before I can get it out, Kaz leans forward. He grabs the quilt at the end of my bed and tosses it onto my legs casually. “Goodnight, y/n.” The meaning of his repetition is clear. His word is final.
I find enough energy to manage a glare, but I pull the quilt over my legs anyways. “Goodnight, Kaz.”

For the anon who wanted a James x reader where they meet on the Pearl, but James doesn’t have the guts to admit that he’s falling for them. Later, (we’re pretending his death didn’t happen), they meet again at Shipwreck Cove, and James confesses his feelings during the battle on the Dutchman.

~3760 words. Long again.
~~~~~~~
           His hair hung in wet strings around his face. Whether they were matted together with water, alcohol, or vomit, you weren’t sure you wanted to know, though you suspected it to be a mixture of all three. A guard rail was all that kept him upright. He was a disaster, even for a pirate. Not that he’s a pirate, either.
          The former Commodore looked a wreck. You would be, too, you supposed, if you’d drunk yourself into complete oblivion. And someone needs to take away that damned wig. Currently, it sat on his head much like some bird’s nest, and you half-expected a gull to land in it at any moment. Pity mingled with your disgust. There had been a time when his name alone had struck fear into you. Now, he was a pathetic image, unable to do so much as hold himself up on two feet. He couldn’t strike fear into a fly.
          You were a bit surprised that Elizabeth, of all people, showed him no sympathy. Even Jack looked a bit repulsed, which was saying something, given that Jack himself was never in a prime state. He staggered upright, puking over the side of a railing.
          You sighed, walking brisky over, snatching the wig off the top of his head and tossing it overboard. He looked up at you through bleary eyes.
          “What the bloody hell was that for?”
          “You look awful.”
          “Thank you for your astute assessment.” Even drunk, his tone dripped sarcasm, and you were a little surprised.
          He’s still in his wits, then. You looked him over again. Somewhat. “You look marginally less awful without the wig.” He grunted. You grabbed the bottle he was holding, too, and threw it over the side.
          “Now that’s just a waste.”
          “You need to sober up.”
          “And who exactly are you, that it’s your job to police me?”
          “You’re embarrassing, is all, and it’s no good to be embarrassed by crewmates.”
          He snorted. “You should write to the admiralty. That sort of thinking would have spared me many of my own crewmates throughout the years.” He stared down into the waves, where his water-clogged wig had begun to sink under the surface.
          “Well, you don’t want to be that person, do you?”
          “At this point, I don’t particularly care.” His wig finally lost the battle, disappearing into the murky depths.
          “Have some pride.”
          “Pride?” He pushed himself up, looking coldly into your eyes with his own. “I’ve lost my title, I’ve lost my station, I’ve lost my livelihood. I have no house, nor family, nor friends. I’ve lost everything I ever held dear, including the woman I love, because despite being with her,” here he gestured with his chin to where Elizabeth stood at the helm, “I’m further from her than ever before. Now please, tell me again why I should have pride.”
          If you were being honest with yourself, it was hard to give him an answer. “You still have your life, and for however little that’s worth right now, things could be worse. You could be dead. Take pride in the fact that you didn’t let things get that far.” He scoffed, but you continued. “Go clean yourself up; splash some water on your face, and do something about the vomit in your hair. Things can get better. Clean up, and you’ll be one step closer.”
          He looked at you then, a vulnerability in his eye that wasn’t there before. Hope. He stalked off then, stumbling a bit, but trying admirably to, supposedly, follow your advice.
          Norrington carried out his tasks admirably and without complaint, no manner how demeaning for a man of his previous station. He was watched with suspicious eye; but why wouldn’t he be? He had been a ranking officer, after all, and an effective one at that. Too many pirates had been lost to his scouring of the Caribbean. Just how far can you trust a member of the navy, former or otherwise?
          The way he looked at Jack’s compass didn’t escape your notice. He knows. “Not thinking of stealing it, are you?” His neck craned to look up at you from his position kneeling on the deck, a wet cloth in hand. He stopped his scrubbing to glare.
          “I’m not a thief.” He looked back down, returning to his task.
          “You are a pirate.”
          His head whipped up at that, jaw working in annoyance. “I’m not a bloody pirate,” he hissed.
          “Then what the hell are you doing here? Top secret mission? I’m surprised you were chosen; I wouldn’t believe your fall from grace if I weren’t here to see it myself.”
          Norrington was showing clear restraint, obviously wanting to hit you with something. You watched him breifly consider using the wash-rag as a projectile before deciding against it.
          “Commodore Norrington. That was a name to fear, once.”
          The ferocity in his eyes vanished, replaced by sadness, his gaze dropping from yours. “I haven’t been that man in months. I never will be again.”
          “Good.” He shot you a questioning look. “It’s no use to be afraid of you. And, if what I hear from Elizabeth is true, you might learn to have some fun and not be so stiff all the time.” Offence flashes across his face, but you only smiled. “I blame high society. Welcome to freedom, James Norrington. I hope you get a taste for it.”
          He turned to look out over the steadily changing horizon, a soft pink beginning to dust the sky. “So do I.”
          The days wore on, and the crew steadily adjusted to James’ presence. He no longer ate alone, though he ate in silence, and the crew was more willing to interact with him. Elizabeth, you noted, had barely paid him any mind since his arrival. How she could be so callous towards him you didn’t know; you had expected her to at least talk to him, but she barely even looked his way.
          Not that he didn’t look hers. His gaze would fall upon her, sometimes, while he worked, and there was a sadness there that tugged at your heart. He was confused, too, as to her treatment of him. He wanted, more than anything, to be close to her. Even if she could treat him like a friend. But she refused to give him even that much.
          You were tired of watching it. “Come on,” you walked up to him, “let’s do something about that hair.”
          “You haven’t grown tired of telling me what to do, have you?” he drawled. He was propped against a railing, eyes following Elizabeth as she walked across the deck above them. With Jack, you noted. So, it seemed, did James.
          You sighed. “It can only get in the way, hanging down by your face like that.” You turned away, heading down belowdecks. He needs to get away from watching her.
          James followed, pushing off the railing and heading after you. Good. You found a spot with a few barrels—full of apples, you assumed; you never had gotten rid of all of Barbossa’s cargo—that would be suitable for sitting on. You motioned for James to do just that, moving behind him.
          You found yourself at a loss for words. What was there to say? You had little in common, and less that wouldn’t bring back poor memories for him. You kept silent, instead running your fingers through James’ hair. It’s longer than I expected, for a naval man. I wonder if he always kept it like this, or if it was close-cropped, once.
          “What exactly are you doing?” He turned his head a little to look back at you.
          “Braiding.” You separated his hair into three parts, beginning to twine the strands together.
          You expected him to ask you why, or to move away, but he stayed put. “I haven’t worn my hair in a braid since the navy.” It was almost a whisper. Somehow, in the low light of the hull, it seemed appropriate.
          You almost pulled away and apologized, but he went on. “I used to braid it to fit it under that damned wig. It could get so insufferably hot in the sun, though I was always glad to have the hair off the back of my neck. I don’t know how Elizabeth ever managed, in those dresses.” A soft smile sat on his face. “How did any of us manage, back then?”
          You knew he wasn’t speaking of the heat. You tied his hair off with a small strip of ribbon from around your wrist. It was interesting, to see something of yours on him, and you stared at it a moment before moving. “You’ve always kept your hair this long, then?” You moved to a barrel across from him.
          “For years. My mother hated it.” He smiled. “She told me it would be easier if I just cut it off.”
          “Good thing you didn’t.” He looked at you curiously, and you felt yourself beginning to flush. “It suits you.”
          His eyebrows raised in surprise. Even in the dim light of the lanterns, you could see his cheeks turn pink, the color extending down into his collar. You sat in awkward silence a moment, James fiddling with the cuffs of his sleeves while you looked down at the black deck. “A name to fear, you said.”
          James was still toying with the cuff on his left wrist when you looked back up. “I think I like you this way better.”
          “I’m not sure I do.”
          You got up, moving to a barrel next to his. “I’d rather not fear you.” You grabbed his hand, taking it gently away from its fiddling. He scanned your eyes. “Like most people, you aren’t as terrifying as the stories make you sound.”
          “I never thought of it that way.”
          “That you struck fear, even into the best of us?”
          “I…” he trailed off. “It seems so ridiculous, that anyone feared me. I know I was good at my job—it was all I was good for.” He scoffed. “But I was so out of place in society…I always felt horribly awkward at all those social events. I was much more afraid of those people than they were of me.”
          “You were like…” you wracked your brain for a parallel. “You were told stories about Blackbeard when you were a child, right?”
          “Yes, of course. Upon reflection, I’m sure they were too dramatic to be true.”
          “That’s how you were to us. You were a reverse Blackbeard.” James laughed aloud at that. “I can’t even tell you how I pictured you. Larger, maybe. Older. And with a horrible, mean beard that took up half your face.”
          James smiled, and you found you quite liked the expression on him. “Am I as scary as the stories?”
          “Not even close. Though I’m sure I wouldn’t want to meet the business end of your sword,” you added.
          “Is Blackbeard as frightening as the tales?” James questioned. Then, more seriously, “Is Davy Jones?”
          You sobered. “Aye, he is.” You found that his hand was still in yours—he hadn’t pulled away. “But it’s mixed with disgust. He isn’t human, anymore. It can be revulting. And sad,” you said, upon reflection. “I can’t imagine; losing your humanity like that.”
          James said nothing, his eyes on your entertwined fingers. He ran his thumb over your knuckles. “Why do you talk to me?”
          You shrugged. “There’s no reason not to.”
          “That doesn’t seem to be the common belief.” He continued to rub gentle circles in the top of your hand. His fingers were calloused from years of hard work, but so were yours. He traced over your knuckles and each finger in turn. His brows furrowed. “It’s pity, isn’t it?”
          You could see how disgusted he was with himself. “Some, yes,” you admitted. “But you’re not half-bad to be around. This was…nice. I haven’t had a quiet moment with someone in ages.”
          He looked at you thoughtfully, using his free hand to brush a strand of hair behind your ear. “You’re not half-bad either, for a pirate.”
          You smiled, and he looked like he might say something more, but he stayed quiet, a soft smile of his own gracing his features. When he left, you knew he was in a better mood than when he came. I wonder if I’ll occupy any of the space in his thoughts that Elizabeth does. It was a silly thought, and you didn’t quite know why it came to mind, but there was a ghostly touch where James had brushed your hair aside, and you realized that you liked the idea of his thinking about you. Wishing for the attention of a naval man. Who would’ve thought?
~~~~~~~
          The news about Isla de Muerta came hard. You had been anxious the entire time, confined to the Pearl on the account that Davy Jones could make an appearance, and the ship would need to be crewed if he did.
          You weren’t prepared for the eventuality that James wouldn’t come back. You had worried, of course, wringing your hands with it, but you hadn’t actually thought…
          You kept your tears for him to yourself. Nobody else was bothered—not even Elizabeth. A man she’s known her entire life, dead, and she has no sorrow to show for it. How can she be so heartless? It was as if nothing had happened at all. The crew ignored it; they were used to that, you supposed. Half your number had been killed by cannibles, after all. But even Gibbs seemed unbothered by the prospect of James’ death.
          Only later did you realize that James had taken the heart. You didn’t believe it, at first, but slowly came to reconcile yourself with the idea. Elizabeth thought him a traitor. But was he ever really on our side? You thought back to your conversations with him. I like you this way better. It had been true. I’m not sure I do. That was true, too, and now he’d shown it.
          At first, none of it mattered to you. He was dead, anyway. Slowly, you began to realize that Jones didn’t have the heart. After all, he hadn’t quit pursuing the Pearl, even if you didn’t have the heart. When you learned that the heart was in possession of Cutler Beckett, damn his eyes, your heart leapt with joy. James is alive! No matter the mood of Jack, or Gibbs, or Elizabeth, or the crew, you could only think of James. He wasn’t killed, then. He used the heart as leverage to secure his old position.
          You pondered the thought. If ever you met him again, would you be afraid? Or would you just be sad?
~~~~~~~
          Shipwreck Cove was just as you’d remembered it. Dimly lit, ships stacked one on the other, whispered conspiracies in every corner. Every sailor’s legend had its place in these ships. There wasn’t a legend that hadn’t been speculated within the fortress, and not a pirate who hadn’t chased them without.
          You had fond memories of the Cove, but less fond memories of the Court. The Brethren Court convened on only the deepest of issues, and you still remembered some of their gatherings from when you were a child. It was loud, and there was no order, and the Court couldn’t meet without at least one death per session.
          It was that way now. Jack toyed with the swords stuck in the globe at the front of the room while the other pirate lords surrendered the miscellaneous junk they deemed their pieces of eight. The end result was a dish full of random trinkets. Not that you didn’t understand; the idea that pirates obtained mass amounts of wealth was a myth. Most of the time, you barely had a shilling to your name. Working with Jack was especially non-lucrative, but it was certainly more entertaining.
          Jack’s hand strayed briefly to the piece of eight at his temple. “Might I point out that we are still short one pirate lord and I’m as content as a cucumber to wait until Sao Feng joins us.”
          “Sao Feng is dead.”
          You recognized that voice. You whipped around to see Elizabeth, clad in full Chinese armor, sword in hand. You smiled to yourself; she was always full of surprises.
          The best surprise, however, was the man standing at her side. You mouthed James’ name, and his eyes locked on yours. He stepped forward, as if to greet you, but you were interrupted by further discussion of the Court. He’s alive, and he’s here, and I never thought I would see him again. You glanced over your shoulder. And he’s in full uniform.
          The Court was chaos. Barbossa’s plan to free Calypso was not taken well by the others, and you couldn’t blame them. Your mind was preoccupied, focussing on the man somewhere behind you. You wondered if he had seen the relief in your eyes. Had he felt the same?
          A hand settled on your shoulder. You turned to see James, worried eyes staring into your own. He pulled you back, leading you out of the room.
          “James?” You felt your eyes beginning to water. “For the longest time, I thought you had died.” Your voice cracked, and you were unable to stop it.
          He opened his mouth as if to say something, but only reached out to you, pulling you into a firm embrace. “I’m so sorry.” His breath tickled your ear. “I’ve done horrible things.”
          You held tightly to the back of his coat. “I’m just happy to see you again.”
          He stepped back, pain blossoming across his features. “I know you can never forgive me, for what I’ve done. I can only hope you-”
          The doors behind you opened, and the Court flooded out. The consensus is war, then.
~~~~~~~
          The rain made it hard for you to keep a good grip on your sword. The Dutchman pitched and rolled under your feet, waves crashing rougly into the sides of the hull. Its mast, tangled with the Pearl’s, loomed above you, a towering dark figure in the haze of the monsoon.
          These damned fish people. The Dutchman’s crew fought more viscously than even Barbossa’s undead pirates. Who knew starfish could be so angry? You feared that their weapons, often tarnished and jagged, would catch on your own and leave you defenseless. I should’ve stayed on the Pearl. But there are fish people there now, too.
          At least you weren’t alone. Elizabeth and Will were with you, as was Jack, though he seemed to be having difficulties of his own. If you hadn’t been fighting for your life, you might have been more amused. You had lost sight of most of your crew mates. You were too focused on the eel-headed freak in front of you to give your fellows much thought. With your swords locked, you had no other way to grapple with the beast. It hadn’t occurred to you that the eel could elongate its neck, which was exactly what it did, arching forward to bite at your face.
          A moment later, the head lay at your feet, the slimy body collapsing beside it. James was there, sword in hand, looking at you with concern. That, or he’s squinting to keep the rain out of his eyes. You gave him a nod, stepping in closer.
          “There are too many of them. We’ll never get to them all. Some of them are coming right out of the walls!” You both looked around yourselves at the endless numbers in the Dutchman’s crew.
          “We only have to kill one.” James gestured towards the other end of the ship, where Davy Jones stood, lobster claw digging into the wood of the deck.
          “We don’t have the heart.”
          “But we both know who does.” James’ face was grim. “I should’ve stabbed it while I had the chance.”
          You grabbed his arm. “No. You would be just like Jones, then, bound to this ship for eternity. You’d have no humanity left.”
          “I’d be better than I am now.”
          The comment broke your heart, but there were too many enemies around for you to focus on it. You slashed at a shark-headed monstrosity before James pulled you in close, stabbing something just behind you. Now isn’t the time for blushing. But James was holding you tightly to his chest, and you heard him shoot another member of Jones’ crew.
          You hated to let go, but you had to duck under James’ arm to go after another, and another. Your back ended up pressed against James’, and you could feel each others’ heavy breathing.
          “I don’t think we’re going to make it out of this alive.” You had to shout to be heard over the thunderous racket. Between the rain, the gunfire, and the sharp clanging of swords, there was little room for words.
          “It doesn’t seem likely.”
          “You were trying to tell me something earlier.” Rain ran down your face in streams. “Now might be your only chance.”
          James put a hand on your shoulder, turning you around to face him. “I wanted to apologize, for it all. I hope you’ll accept it.”
          “Of course.” You grabbed the pistol from his side, leveling it at a creature behind his shoulder.
          “You didn’t deserve what I did.”
          You cupped his face with a hand. “I understand why you did it.”
          “You were the only one who treated me like a person, then, on the Pearl.” He had grabbed your arm, keeping you close. It occurred to you that you were both going to die like this, paying too much attention to each other and not enough to your surroundings. “I can’t…” James took a steadying breath. “I can’t help but love you for it.”
          You barely had time to process the words before his lips were on yours. Despite the storm, and the gunfire, and the clanging of swords—despite the knowledge that neither of you were going to make it out alive—the kiss was achingly tender, with so much softness and vulnerability that tears began to slip down your already soaked cheeks.
          This won’t be such a bad way to go.
          There was a sudden shuddering of the ship, and you and James had to cling to each other to keep upright. You looked up, only to find that the Pearl had broken away, her masts now untangled from the Dutchman’s.
          You tugged at James’ arm. “We have to go. I think the ship’s going under.”
          He nodded, and you found a loose line to swing over to the Pearl. The Dutchman sank not long after you hit the deck. The ship fell beneath the waves, sucked under by the storm.
          “We still have to face Beckett.” James looked out over the water to where the British armada was advancing.
          You could already feel some of the fight leaving you. How could you withstand an armada, when you’d barely defeated the Dutchman? “At least we have each other, now.”
          James looked down at you. “Yes.” He cautiously wrapped an arm around your waist. “And after? If there is an after.”
          You smiled teasingly. “I hope you don’t mind returning to piracy.”
          James smiled back. “I don’t think I’ll mind at all.”

Where You Belong.
Tumblr media
It'd been two weeks since their breakup— if you can even classify it, as one.
Their relationship wasn't always rocky. Y'lan did everything to make sure that she was happy and taken care of and she did the same for him, but Cici began to feel neglected as time went on.
His job started to become his main focus and petty arguments became an everyday occurrence, until she got tired and moved out of his apartment, and into one of her own.
As of late, she's been enjoying being single, cumming and going as she pleases.
"So... when do I get the pleasure of seeing you, again?" Standing at the bottom of the steps, Cici and her new favorite man candy stand centimeters away from each other's lips, underneath the orange hued sun.
"Hm, you might be luckier than you think." The smitten man peers down at her, placing wet kisses on her lips.
"Mm., yo pretty ass better call me."
"Maybe I will....," she steps away from him and towards the door, her hand placed on the handle. "Maybe I won't."
"It's like that?" He asks with a raised brow.
"Always. Goodnight.," she sing-songs, unlocking the door and disappearing behind it.
Kicking her furry slides off, she sighs as the fluffy rug aides to her aching feet. Her phone starts ringing as she makes her way down the hall.
"Hello?," she answers, not even caring to look at the caller ID.
"So, you movin' on and ain't think to tell me?," Y'lan's irritated voice sounds through, causing her to roll her eyes.
"We gotta do this, tonight? I just had a great day and you're ruining it."
"Well, excuse me for being a fucking inconvenience.—"
"Yes., excuse you. You know, you got a lot of fucking nerve, calling me just to fuss at me about some shit that don't even fucking concern you.—"
"Since when does this not concern me?”
"Since your job became your whole fucking like, Y'lan!, are you kidding me?!" The huff that sounds on his end, further pisses her off.
"You just stopped caring. You were always working and always tired and I tried my hardest to be present, while you just sat there. You weren't the man that I feel in love with, anymore."
"Cici, I've been trying to apologize for the longest time, now. I know I wasn't there, like I should've been."
"Well, it's too late for that."
"Why?"
"Cause, I've been doin' this song and dance with you for too fucking long!," she leans against the wall by her bedroom. "I'm sure you out there fucking 'who knows what', so stop worrying about what I'm doing."
She hangs up and heads into her room, face planting onto the sheets and instantly knocking out.
Somewhere around midnight, Cici’s awaken by incessant banging on her front door.
"Ugh!", as she saunters down the hall, the banging grows louder, instantly annoying her. "Okay... either shut the fuck up or wait for me to open the door."
"Open it up, then." Rolling her eyes, she unlocks it and snatches it open, watching him walk in like he owns the place. Closing and locking the door back behind herself, she turns and leans against it, crossing her arms over her chest, her cleavage damn near spilling over.
Y'lan stands a few feet away from her, giving her a hard glare. "Can I help you?" She asks.
"You wanna help me understand why you hung up on me? You know I hate that shit."
"You're such a fucking baby. I didn't give enough of a shit to hear you explain whatever it is that made you act like I was no longer your girlfriend. I moved on and you should too, quit—"
"What?!," he cuts her off. She holds up her pointer finger in his direction.
"—quit!, calling me and harassing me about what and who I'm doing." His brow raises.
"Oh, so that's why you been hangin' up on me and shit. You got a new man in them walls and forgot, huh?" He strides over to her, now just a few inches from her face.
"I'm not a woman that waits. You know that. I've got needs and you weren't fulfilling them. Where's your roster of hoes at?"
"You really think I'm just out here fucking? That's all I'm about?" He questions, a crease in his left brow.
"That's how you used to be, who's to say that it still isn't?"
"Me!," he yells, pointing to his chest. "What's wrong with you?"
"You're what's wrong with me. I hate you.," she snarls, pushing him back. He grips her wrist, beaming back, this time closer to her face.
"You need that attitude fixed."
"Fix it, then."
————
A thick, sticky air shrouds the two bodies inside their bedroom. Pants, moans and grunts compete against the incessant slapping of their skin.
"Fuuuckk.... you feel so damn good, baby," she moans, taking her bottom lip between her teeth, again.
"Wet ass pussy.... I should fuckin' kill you." He grunts, before wrapping his large hand around her neck, thrusting deeper into her.
"Ahn! I'm sorry!"
"Shut the fuck up." Her hand reaches out for his thigh, as he begins to hit her spot.
"Oh fuck! You're gonna make me cum!"
"Cum on this dick." Her body jerks twice, while her pouty and swollen lips allow her foul praises, through.
"Come're." Pulling her up by her hair, his thrusts pick up speed, leaving her mouth to hang ajar.
"He gave it to you like this?"
"Nooooo.... fuck!" She quietly answers, making him move his hand back around her neck, tightly.
"I can't hear you, baby.... say it again." He grunts, dipping his hips into hers.
"No, baby!"
"He make you cum like I do?"
"No— unh!" Her toes curl, feeling him slow down some to dig into her.
"Then, why you keep fuckin' playin' with me, baby?" Moving his hand up to grab her chin, he speeds back up, the clapping of their skin refills the room.
"I'm n-not playiiiiinnng!— unh!, unh!, unh!,..." her fingers grip onto the foot board for dear life.
"I'm sorry!," she cries, feeling another orgasm brewing.
"You sorry, huh?!"
"Yes!"
"You sorry for givin' Daddy's pussy away?" Her eyes roll back as every thrust begins to hit her spot.
"Fuck— yesssss,"
"For tellin' Daddy how much you hate him?" He emphasizes his pained question with a rough stroke, sending a scream through her.
"I didn't mean it, Daddy! Fuck, I love this dick!" Her head hangs forward.
"Ohh fuuccck.... aah! I love this dick, babyyy— I love you!"
"I love yo bratty ass, too. Throw that shit back on Daddy." She bounces back on his lap, feeling him throb against her.
"Feels so good, Daddy!" One hand grips his forearm and the other searches for something to latch onto.
"You boutta cum again, baby?" He taunts in her ear, slowly dragging his girth in and out of her tightening cove.
"Ffff—" her eyes roll back as her peak begins to rear its head.
"Talk to me, babygirl."
"Yes! I'm gonna cum!" Her body hunches forward as her essence drips down her leg. She reaches back for his thigh, pulling him closer.
"Don't st-stop," her top half goes limp on the bed, giving him more leverage to demolish her without a fight.
"Fuck!, I'm gonna cum, again!" Her legs begin to tremble as he third orgasm rushes through, just as quick, making way for another. She presses a hand over her clit, hissing at the overstimulation.
"–—shhhiiiiiit!" Her quaking frame almost hits the ground as she cums again. His big hands hold her up, continuing to dig into her.
"Okay, baby!..... I can't take it— fuck!, ooh!, ooh!, ooh!...." replaying like a broken record, she squeezes against him. He moans in response, stilling for a second.
"You can't handle it, huh?"
"You're killing me, baby... I need a break—" pulling her up from the bed, he presses her against the wall and wraps his hand around the front of her throat.
"You don't deserve a fuckin' break.," the venom in his speech makes her thighs clench around him. "You gon' take all this dick, you understand me?"
"Yes, Daddy,." The lust in her eyes doubles for him. She grabs the back of his head and smashes their lips together, moaning as he grips her fat ass with both hands.
Reaching between them with her free hand, she guides the head of his dick back between her slit, her mouth dropping open as he slides back inside.
"All that shit,..." he reminds her, digging as deep as possible.
"Oh shit...,—it feels so good, baby!" She wraps her arms around his neck and hides her face.
"Shit... you test my patience... all the fucking time.," he growls in her ear, causing a smile to break out on her lips.
"Only, because you let me." Laying her head back on the wall, she stares at him, biting down on her lip at the way his muscles flex.
"I got you that spoiled, huh?" He asks. She nods, closing her eyes as the pleasure begins to slowly build.
"Yes, baby." Pulling her away from the wall, he lays her back on the bed, beginning to move against her, like a serpent. Her hands latch onto his back.
"Oh!," her lips part, her moans swallowed in his many kisses. "Fuck, baby!"
"You feel me, girl?" He grunts against her lips.
"Yes... I feel youuuu!"
"You want this nut, babygirl?"
"Yesss, gimme that nut....," lifting her legs up, she grips the back of her thighs, giving him the leverage he needs.
"Unh,.... such a fucking brat." His hands fall above hers, gripping her flesh as he drives into her, madly.
"Fuck meeee!," she moans, digging her nails into his thighs.
His deep moans multiply as he gets closer, the muscles is his back working overtime, flexing underneath the streetlights outside her window.
"Shit!, I'ma bust all in this shit, you hear me?"
"Yes baby!," she screeches, clenching around him.
"Ah shit... uh! Fuck.... mmmm!," his pounding comes to an abrupt stop as his orgasm rushes through him. His head lolls back at the feeling.

Living on an island your whole life has its perks. From the fresh scent of the salty ocean air to the calming sounds of the waves crashing lazily, it never failed to wake you up with a serenity that could be found nowhere else. You had lived alone with your Toller pup for the past couple years, in the house that your grandparents had left for you. You grew up with them, as your parents always had to move from town to town due to their profession. They were both marine biologists and had taken up a job at a top secret research facility when you were 12, so they decided to let you stay with your beloved grandparents. However, on a stormy day a couple years ago, when you were 19, both your grandparents got caught in a storm while they were out fishing, and they never came back. During the funeral, you had found out that in their will, they had stated that you should get the house, in the event of something tragically happening to them.
And that’s how you got the house three years ago. When it became too lonely, you decided to adopt a Toller puppy for company, and you had named him Sam, which was your grandpa’s nickname. He provided good company and unconditional love, which is important in every home. The house had its own dock leading to the beach, so every morning, after your walk, you’d put Sam’s retriever genes to good use and play fetch with him, fetching the ball from the ocean was one of his favorite past times. Whenever you brought him to the beach, you sometimes feared he was going to be the reason why someone almost drowned. To date, you were grateful nothing like that had ever happened, but you sometimes couldn’t brush off that fear. You were a writer, and sometimes, you couldn’t control how far your imagination went, and sometimes, the words you put on paper would be some of your worst fears, if they were to come alive.
As the days go by, and the weather gets chilly, you would often take Sam on a walk to the nearby cove, usually in the warmer months it would be filled with children playing by the beach and in the waters, but as the weather got cooler, it was mostly couples going on romantic walks, or some who preferred the solitude, just came to enjoy the sunset. On this particular day, there weren’t many people by the cove, just a couple strangers. It was around 6:15 when you threw the ball the last time, and waited for Sam to retrieve it. You closed your eyes and took a deep breath, fully inhaling the chill autumn air, when you heard a whelp coming from the water. Opening your eyes, you saw Sam caught on a wave, and struggling to get back to you. In a panicked state, you took off into the water, not worrying about the growing current, but more worried about your faithful companion, struggling in grasps of strong waves, at least for a dog his size. As you grab him by his collar, attempting to pull him out, another wave comes crashing into the two of you, causing you to go under. Trying to call for help, and failing, as the water fills your lungs, you stop struggling, knowing it might make your situation worse, however, Sam starts barking, with his head barely above the water.
Suddenly, you could feel yourself being pulled out of the water, and being held against a broad chest by strong arms. Once you reached the water, you looked at your savior, beautiful greenish-blue grey eyes met yours, and you saw a cute familiar face looking back at you. It was Linn, the barista in the cute local café. You had to admit, you’ve always had a crush on him, but from afar. You didn’t know anything about him, except that people claimed that his family had lived on the island for years, centuries even.
He had shaggy brown hair, and small freckles were scattered along his face. With his help, you got up from the ground and called out to Sam. “Are you alright? I saw you getting pulled under and saw your dog barking. Do you want me to call someone?” he asked , in a boyishly deep smooth voice. Gaping like a goldfish out of the water, it took you a few seconds to process what was said. Coughing, you rasped out “ Yes… I’m fine, thank you! My dog , Sam, got caught in the waves, and I tried to get him out.” you started babbling like a lost child. “ Can I call someone to come get you?” He asked again, a hint of concern in his eyes. “ oh, no… no it’s okay, I live alone, well with Sam. There’s no one to call.” you said, trying not to act like a 15 year old who just couldn't help but be nervous around her crush. “I’ll be fine, really, I just need to walk home and dry out. Thanks again for helping!” you exclaimed. Calling Sam to you, the both of you started to walk home. “ Hey! Wait!” you heard Linn calling from behind, “ I’ll walk you home, if that’s okay. It’s getting dark anyway. I’ll see to it that you both get home safe,”. Before you could say anything, you felt him putting his jacket over you, helping with the chill. You didn’t realize you were freezing until he wrapped his jacket around you.
When the three of you reached your home, Sam was happy to be back in the warm embrace of his bed. Standing by the door “ Would you like to come in? Maybe a cup of coffee… or tea or anything else, if you prefer?” quickly giving him the option of whatever he preferred, to make sure you didn't seem ignorant. Sure, he worked as a barista in the local café, but that doesn't mean he loved coffee, right? “ Um, sure! Anything will do,” he said, as he followed you in. Looking around, you kicked yourself in your head, not keeping up to the schedule you set yourself for cleaning up around the cottage. Sure, it was decent, but paper everywhere? A heaping amount of mugs were strewn around your coffee table, as you sat there working on your next work.
Quickly picking them up and moving them to the sink, you filled up the kettle and turned it on to boil. “ There’s tea and coffee in the cabinet above the kettle, feel free to help yourself. I’ll go get dried up,” the words left you, as if you were telling them to an old friend, hoping to not make a fool of yourself anymore, you gave him a sheepish smile and made your way upstairs to your bedroom.
(Linn pov)
I made my way to the cabinet, looking through the various tea blends. Something which would help with the cold temperature would be nice. There in the right corner of the cabinet, was a box of peppermint tea. It would definitely help make her feel better, since she was soaked to the bone. I can’t help but feel a sense of concern for her. This beautiful strong woman that I always encounter in the café I worked in, and possibly have a crush on, I can’t believe I never spoke to her. I’ve always seen her writing in the corner of the café, in her spot, as my coworkers and I have labeled it. She always seems so sure of herself, and always seems ready for anything, but today, out in the water when I saw her struggling, something came over me. I had to save her, felt a sense of protectiveness for her, hence why I offered to walk her home. Taking two bigger than average mugs from the cabinet, I filled them up with the boiling water, after placing a tea bag in each and placing them on the coffee table before the couch. Her dog was in front of the heater, longing for some warmth and hoping to dry off. I heard soft footsteps coming down the stairs.
As I got to the bottom of the stairs, I saw Sam laying before the heater, trying to get warm. Making my way to the tiny laundry room, I picked up Sam’s towel. Making my way to him, from the corner of my eye I saw Linn, sitting on the couch, two steaming mugs of what seemed to be one of my teas in front of him.
“ I made some peppermint tea, it helps with colds, we don’t want you to catch one now do we?” grinned Linn.
Thanking him, and taking the mug he held one, I sat next to him on the couch. Keeping some distance between us, I asked him if he wanted to use the bathroom to clean up.
“ If you have any spare clothing that might fit, I’d like that! It’s okay if you don’t though!” he nervously exclaimed. “ I do have some spare clothing that belonged to my grandpa, they should fit. Gimme a sec! I’ll go grab ‘em, and a towel too!” I exclaimed, leaving the cozy embrace of the couch.
Making my way to my room, where I kept a spare drawer full of my grandparent’s clothes, I dug out a jumper and a pair of pajama pants which belonged to my grandpa.
When I went down, I saw Linn drying Sam with the towel that I had left by his dog bed, and Sam being the belly rub loving dog he is, happily accepted Linn drying him with the towel, belly rubs being a necessity. Letting out a chuckle at the scene before my eyes, I held out the spare clothes and a fresh towel to Linn.
“ There’s a bathroom two doors left from the stairs upstairs,” I exclaimed, reaching for the doggy towel he left by the couch and chucking it in the laundry room. “Thank you,” he exclaimed, leaving to go to the bathroom.
Once Sam was dry enough, I picked up my mug of tea, making myself comfortable on the couch. Looking out the living room window, rain droplets trickling down the class, I sip on my tea, waiting for my guest to arrive from the bathroom. A couple minutes passed, looking up when I heard soft footsteps heading towards me, I offered Linn a smile and patted down the space next to me on the couch. “ Here, you can leave once the storm stops,” I handed him the mug.
We both sat beside each other, talking about what we remember about my grandparents and how we never spoke to each other when we were younger. Sam sitting at our feet. The dying fire casted a warm allure on his face, illuminating the soft scattered freckles. Hours passed as we enjoyed each other's company over another mug of tea, laughing at all the brief mutual moments that were shared between us. He mentioned that he would always get excited to see me whenever I visited my grandparents by the docks. I didn’t want to admit it, but I always loved to catch a few glimpses of him, whenever he wasn't looking as well.
I laughed at his words, tired but somehow feeling rejuvenated. It had been a long time since I last laughed with someone. It felt good to let go.
His expression of awe paused me mid laughter. He was gazing into my eyes, as I his. For a brief moment, his gaze averted to my lips. Moving his gaze up to my eyes, as soft as a whisper “ May I kiss you?” he asked, a foreign emotion lingered behind his now soft eyes.
Giving him a gentle nod, I felt him place his hand at the nape of my neck. Inhaling a deep breath, his scent which reminded me of the sea with a hint of musky peppermint enveloped my senses.
Linn leaned in, gently bringing my face towards his. He closed his eyes, and for a brief few seconds I admired him until mine shut involuntarily as I felt his lips on mine. After a few seconds, he pulled away, still gazing into my eyes, “ I’ve been wanting to do that for quite a while now,” he said, with a sheepish grin, before kissing me again.
He deepened the kiss a little, giving my bottom lip a light lick before pulling away. “ I regretted not telling you how I felt about you earlier… I did ask permission from your grandpa before he passed. The last thing he said to me was, he’d be happy if you chose me,” he paused for a second, a hint of sadness and regret casting a shadow on his blue eyes. “ I… I need to tell you something. I might … might not be who you expect. And I understand if I’m not who you want,” he stammered. Grunting, “ The rain’s about to stop. I should probably get going,” he said as he started to get up.
Grabbing onto his hand, “ No...don’t! Please… It’s late, you should stay!” I stopped him. “And I’ve had a silly little crush on you too… I just never knew how to tell you” I whispered. He sat next to me, slowly, as if I were made of fine china. That, at any moment, I might crumble. “ You did?” he breathed, his breath close enough that I could feel it on my face.
“ I also know what you are. Grandpa made sure to educate me on myths, and he said some were not myths. I’ve seen you carry your pelt around sometimes,” I closed his hand between mine. “I know you’re a selkie, Linn. I don’t want you to hide that from me.” I breathed, gazing into his eyes. I could catch a glimpse of adoration in them. “Thank you… for not running away, even when you knew what I was,” he sighed. I gazed at his lips, before catching them with mine, a soft peck, to let him know I accepted him for who he is.

hiiii! i was wondering if you could write a dazai x f!reader who loves to paint and dazai messed her painting up and she gets mad at him but later what he did helped her get more inspiring!
Dazai ruining his s/o painting
oo thank you, i really liked writing thiss!
it was a Friday afternoon and you have been working on this painting for 2 weeks now the deadline coming up next Friday, you have been having a hard time finishing the painting something about it was missing and it was making you upset. Dazai knocked on the bedroom door and came in, he was checking up on you.. this painting was for college. "belladonna? hows the painting going~" he hummed. you sighed "I don't know... something missing can you come look?" you said staring at Dazai's figure at the door. Dazai came over to you and looked at the painting and there did look like something was missing in the painting but neither you nor Dazai could think of what to add. "hm (y/n) darling, maybe you should add more shadows?" he asked you looked at him saying nothing as you already had a lot of shadows on the painting. (the painting was a woman in black, white, gray paint looking up with long black hair and had tears in her eyes and the painting was only where her shoulders were.) "I don't think I need more shadows." you said sighing looking at the clock next to you saying 11:32pm you got up from your chair Dazai looking at the clock "is it time for cuddles, my love~" Dazai said smirking, you giggled at him you changed into your PJs and crawled into bed Dazai joining you minutes later. you guys cuddled the night away.
Dazai woke up for work at 9am when he got up from the bed he slowly made his way to your painting accidentally hitting the table you left one of your paints open making the paint 'ruin' your painting. Dazai freaked out he looked at the paint pouring out of the bottle then he picked up the paint and then thought about getting a towel and wiping it up but then he thought it would maybe ruin the paint underneath, the last thing he thought about was waking you up. Dazai was very scared to wake you up. you have been working on this painting for weeks now. he slowly made his way to your side from the table and bent down on his knees and slowly woke you up and thinking of what he was going to say to you. you slowly woke up and looked at Dazai thinking something was wrong. "Dazai.. did something happen?" you asked getting up from your bed. "belladonna... I may have hit your painting table, and one of your paints spilled on the painting... the blue paint to be specific." Dazai said worry in his eyes.
you jumped out of bed and looked at the damage at first you were pissed. "Dazai! I have been working on this for 2 weeks, I don't know what I'm going to do I cant restart!" you said upset and tired as you just got up. Dazai looked very sad like he thought it was the end of the world. Dazai wouldn't be feeling so sad if he didn't just wake up. (it's dazai guys he won't let you get mad at him or he'd be rude back) Dazai got up from the floor and looked at you "I'm so sorry darling, I didn't mean to ruin your painting... maybe this mistake will lead to something good?" Dazai said walking to you and grabbing your hands. you sighed "Dazai go to work please I got to think about something to do, and Kunikida will be mad at you if you're late." you said your voice sad after Dazai left for work, you sat down at your table and looked at your painting for some time before you had an idea. the blue paint landed on one side of the eye and the blue paint coved some of the shoulders. when the idea hit you the blue paint made it have color and you put flowers and mostly a background effect to it. when the idea hit you started painting it when you got done it been some hours. you got up your body sore from not moving from the position you sat in. you loved how the painting turned out. you jumped up and down. you felt bad for being kinda rude to Dazai so you made sure to say sorry when he came home.
when Dazai came home he was worried you couldn't save the painting when Dazai came into the bedroom he saw you jump on him he sighed to himself knowing you fixed the painting. "did you fix the painting?" Dazai said letting you down. "Even better! I got so inspired by it!" you said jumping up and down "look! look!" you said getting the painting and giving it to him. Dazai was stunned by how good it looked. Dazai put the painting on the table and grabbed you and spun you around. "I told you the mistake would lead to something good," Dazai said giving you a kiss "Dazai I'm sorry for being rude to you this morning," you said looking into his eyes "belladonna, it's okay I knew you didn't mean it," Dazai said smiling while he held you.
(P.S. you got a perfect grade on your art for college!)

hi! i saw you're doing our life fanfics now :)) i just recently got into the fandom! could you do a reverse kind of comfort fic where reader comforts cove? for whatever reason, i just want to take care of him! thank you in advance :)
This takes place anytime after Step 3, up to you to decide exactly when! I actually finished this in one night because I finally had a lot of motivation for writing. I wrote this in first instead of second, but if you'd prefer I change it to second person I can do that! I hope you enjoy! Big thanks to @gb-patch for making this game!

Fandom: Our Life: Beginning and Always Premise: Comforting Cove Word Count: 954 CW(s): none
Find this on my AO3 as Well!
I could tell something was off. Cove’s mind seemed to be somewhere else entirely despite my attempts to carry a conversation as the tv played in the background, but nothing seemed to peak his interest. Not even mentions of surfing and the beach could rouse him, nor did he seem flustered by the amount of physical contact between us, which made it evident something was seriously wrong.
“Hey, Cove?” No response.
“Cove?” His oddly and uncharacteristically expressionless face showed no indication of his mind registering the sound of his own name.
“Cove!” His head whipped around as he jolted up in surprise, effectively knocking his legs against mine and accidentally hitting me in the back of head with his arm that rested on the back of the couch. He visibly winced.
“Sorry, I didn't mean to startle you. You just weren’t responding. Are you okay?” I asked. He offered a weak smile in response, but thought better of it when he instead offered a more affirming thumbs up.
“Sorry, did I hurt you?” He motioned towards the back of my head. Or, he motioned towards my face with his free hand but it was presumably to indicate the way he had knocked his arm against the back of my skull. I shook my head no in response to his concerned question, ignoring the dull ache that was beginning to form.
“Sorry again, you’ve just been...really out of it lately, I guess. And I’m kinda worried. Do you wanna talk about it?” I turned my body towards him, or as much more as I could turn towards him due to our positioning. (Somewhere while watching TV and attempting to converse with my boyfriend, I had ended up laying my legs over his). He eventually nodded.
“Yeah, sure. Just..let me collect my thoughts.” He paused.
“Take all the time you need.” He responded with an appreciative smile.
A couple minutes passed by until he took a deep breath. “I guess I just…” he paused again, opening and closing his mouth as if believing doing so would form the words on his lips for him, “I’m not sure if what I’m doing is right.”
“May I ask what you mean?” He took another steadying breath.
“Like, is it the right choice to not go to college? Should I stay in Sunset Bird or leave? Am I making the right choices for my future? I just, I don’t-” he cut himself off, visibly overwhelmed by his own thoughts. I extended my hand, wanting to place a comforting touch on his shoulder but stopped just short of contact.
“Is it okay if I touch you?” I didn’t want to overwhelm him with any unwanted extra physical contact so i thought it best to ask. He nodded in the affirmative. I finally lowered my hand onto his shoulder.
“Cove, I hope you know that whatever feels right to you is right for you. Everyone’s future life plans differ depending on what they want and what they’re comfortable with. If you decide to go to college later, I’ll support you. If you decide not to go to college at all, I’ll support you. If you want to stay here in Sunset Bird, I’ll support you. And if you want to leave, I’ll still support you. No matter what happens, as long as what you feel you're doing is right for yourself, then I’ll support you without any hesitations, no questions asked. If you ever want to talk more about the future, I’m here. And if you don’t want to talk to me there’s always your dad or mom. And I know they feel the same way I do in that they’ll support you no matter your future endeavors.” I could see tears welling up in his eyes as I finished my impromptu lecture. He rubbed his eyes in an attempt to rid himself of his tears, but it didn’t seem to work. I ran a comforting hand through his hair.
“Hey, you okay?” I said in a soft tone. He nodded.
“Yeah, I just..am so grateful to have you in my life.”
“And I you, Cove. And I you.” I moved his hands away from his face and wiped his tears away with my thumbs. I ruffled his hair, causing him to shoot me a disapproving look.
“Was that necessary?” He questioned me. I smiled and let out a small laugh in response.
“I think it was completely necessary.” He rolled his eyes at my childish antics. I couldn’t help but laugh once more. As he offered me another smile (presumably involuntary due to his façade of frustration just seconds earlier), I wrapped my arms around his midsection in a hug, causing him to sputter and choke around any words he was going to say next.
“Sorry, is this okay?” I backed away slightly, not wanting to offer too much physical affection too fast. He once more took a steadying breath.
“Yeah, it’s okay.” I smiled and went back to hugging him.
“I’m always gonna be here for you Cove.” I mumbled against his chest.
“Thank you. I’m here for you too.” I just smiled against the fabric of his t-shirt, content with the moment, and content with the boy I decided to spend most of my life thus far with.
“I love you.” I whispered, even quieter than the last statement. Yet somehow Cove still seemed to be able to hear it, as I could feel his breath cease for a second. No matter how many times we had said it in the past, he still reacted the same. Every time felt like the first all over again, stomach butterflies and racing heartbeats included.
“I love you too.”

Mermaid!Kirishima X Male Reader
((Lost the original ask who prompted this, but here’s a little Mermaid!Kirishima to start the prompts off here! Thank you again for being the first to send in an ask, I appreciate it so much! And such a fun and interesting one to kick things off with, so manly! <3))
Tumblr media
You’d almost fallen asleep. Again. Jesus Christ. Groaning, you stretched your limbs out as far as they’d reach- stifling a cry as your joints popped, and you became a puddle against the wooden dock you were laid across. The soft plap-plap of the waves beneath you very nearly lulling you under once again. Opening your eyes finally, you raised your arm to block out the harsh mid afternoon rays, and to check your watch for the time. Nearly four. He was late. “Where the hell are you, sharkboy,” You grumbled, sitting up, and stretching your arms out for a second time, stretching them for all they were worth, before slumping over and scrubbing at your tired eyes. Wincing slightly at the soft burn of your palms against your cheeks. Fuck. No sunblock. Of course. You’d be confused with a lobster by the time you went home and scooped up in a net for dinner if you didn’t apply any. Chancing a glance around the open ocean around you, spotting hues of blue after hues of blue- but no red- you sighed, tugging off your sweat soaked tank top- shoving it into your bag with the rest of your things, before retrieving your sunblock, and squirting a liberal amount into the palm of your hand. Slapping them together afterwards to smear it around, before hiking a leg up to begin applying it. The soft scent of coconut filled the air around the dock, and mixed with the salty scent of the seafoam below the dock, it reminded you of Kirishima. How enamored he’d been the first time he spotted you out here, doing just as you were now. The scent, the sight. Long tanned legs, short board shorts, no top. He’d been drooling, it was a whole adorable thing. Of course, you absolutely flipped your shit the first time you saw him. He wasn’t exactly the most subtle creature to catch a glimpse of, especially when he reared up to apologize- fins fanning out, causing you to nearly have a heart attack. You knew of mer-people, of course, but no one had seen any in these parts in decades. You certainly hadn’t. Not in your lifetime. First time for anything, though, you supposed. He’d wandered too far from his pod, and gotten curious of the handsome human male spread out like a buffet on the docks. If there was one thing to be said about Eijiro, it was that he was too curious for his own damn good. Something that both endeared you, and frustrated the fuck out of you. You hardly noticed, so caught up in your thoughts of the creature, the sound of the water breaking- the soft creak of the dock straining beneath the merman's grip as he hoisted himself up quietly, laying flat on his stomach just a few feet away. Eyes wide as saucers, red irises glinting mischievously as he tried to stick to his plan. Thwarted only by all the bare expanse of skin you were showing off. Tan, and soft looking. Soft to the touch, too, Kirishima thought suddenly, mouth too full of saliva as he recalled the feel of your skin beneath his webbed fingers. Shaking himself from his awed stupor, Kirishina grinned- all sharp teeth, as he shimmied across the dock, long tail swishing excitedly beneath the water, where it hung low from the dock. Already aware of his tardiness, Kirishima wasted no time lunging for you when he was close enough- laughing boisterously as you shrieked, and began swatting blindly at him. “You asshole! How many times have I told you /NOT/ to do that?” Y/N Shouted, initial panic already seeping away, as he was rolled over beneath Kirishima- the merman's soggy red spikes haloed by the sun’s rays, making him look….positively angelic. The fucking heathen. “You’re an absolute menace to both land and sea society Kirishima- no, no don’t fucking kiss me, I’m mad at you. Take your fishy kisses somewhere else, they will not be accepted here!” Y/N continued to shout, laughing suddenly as Kirishima nuzzled and raked his teeth along the soft expanse of your neck, webbed fingers digging just this side of rough into your sides, to elicit a fit from you. “L-Lemme g-go you smelly s-sardine! Ah-ahah! S-shit, i’m gonna p-piss myself if you don’t-ah!- stop! Kiri, please, mercy, mercy!” You cried, tears in your eyes as Eijiro wrapped your legs around his broad hips- shifting his scales downwards, as to not scrape you. Cradling you in his arms, his elbows against the dock, to shift you both upwards just a bit. Toothy grin as bright as ever as he gave in, and finally looked at you. Kirishima swore he could look at you forever. Your bright, twinkling E/C eyes, the soft, sun bleached tips of your hair. The curve of your nose. The curve of your /lips/. Especially the curve of your lips. “You can’t just show up late and expect me to be all hugs and kisses, that’s not fair,” You pouted, despite the smile you couldn’t help forming on your face. Ankles hooked just at the small of Kirishima’s back, where waist met scales. One hand splayed across the creatures back, the other finding its way deep in the crop of damp hair atop his head. Fingernails digging gently into the base, in that sweet spot that always had Kiri mewling if you scratched long enough. “Mm, i’m sorry, baby shark,” Kiri cooed, snickering at the eye roll he could practically sense, as he dipped his face back down against your neck, and kissed. “-It was my turn to lead the roundup for dinner. You know how long it takes to completely swarm a school of flounder? Little bastards shoot off in different directions. So yummy,” he paused, nipping at your earlobe, causing you to tense, “-but so difficult to catch. Like, but also kind of unlike, another little fish I know.” “A man of a thousand sweet talks.” You were already putty in the merman's hands, and you both knew it. Didn’t mean you had to advertise it. “I am sorry, baby shark. I tried to hurry, but you know how Denki can be. He gets a little zapped if he exerts himself too much on the hunt. We all gotta get him back to the cove in one piece after that, and he’s such a squirmer, so...ya know,” Kirishima shrugged, arms tightening just barely around your middle, as he leaned back, smile less predatory, and more sincere now, as he pressed your foreheads together gently. “Apology accepted...I guess,” You mumbled finally, breaking the creature's gaze, only to flick your gaze down to his plump, bitten lips. One drop of saltwater still clinging to his cupid's bow. “I missed you, dude,” Kiri whispered finally, blush painting his pale face, as he pressed chaste kisses to your cheeks, and chin. Peppering them all over afterwards as you began to giggle. “Missed you too,” You sighed, closing your eyes, and angling your head to catch Kirishima’s lips in a soft kiss. Just a press of them together, no real urgency. You had the rest of the evening, and long after sunset to spend together. There’d be plenty of time for rough, heated kisses below the docks. When you lost your trunks, and Kiri started losing control of the sharpness of his scales. Leaving small pricks and scrapes over your inner thighs, from how you’d going to his hips. Only to have the merman lay you out on the dock under the stars, and kiss them all better. Webbed hands spread wide over your stomach, your hips. Trailing down your thighs, up, and around… “Whoa now,” Kirishima whistled, pulling back to glance down between you, and you huffed. “Don’t get cocky, asshole. I haven’t seen you in almost a week, give me a break.” Hooking your chin over the merman's shoulder, you rolled your eyes once more at Kirishima’s little giggles. Mesmerized by the expanse of muscle in his back. Gaze trailing down between Kirishima’s shoulder blades. Down the small of his back, where his hips dipped first inwards, then back out. Hips filling out below his scales, bright red at the tips, and a deep obsidian at the base, where they met his flesh. Similar to the hair atop his head. Unhooking one of your feet, you ran your toes down along the soft, slippery surface of his tail, as far as you could go, before bringing it back up. Noting the shiver down Kirishima’s spine, and grinning. “Never gets old, does it?” “No, nope. Absolutely not. You make my tail feel like it’s gonna shake right off,” Kirishima groaned, planting his plans on either side of you now, caging you in as you rested back against the dock. “Should probably get that checked out by a doctor.” “Asshole.” “See if I give you the gummy worms in my backpack now.” “....did I mention how much I love you yet?” “That’s what I thought, seaweed brain.” You laughed, flinching back with a frown as Kirishima nipped at the air in front of your face playfully- reaching back for your brag, to draw out the large bag of gummy worms you’d already opened, when waiting for the merman to arrive. Grabbing one out of the pack, and holding it up between two fingers for Kirishima to slurp up. Humming contentedly as he chewed, and you simply smiled. “Love you,” You whispered, feeding him another- watching as he slowed in his chewing, before gulping audibly, and leaning down close. “Love you too. Beautiful boy.” ((Thank you again to the wonderful prompter who asked for this, I had a blast writing it!))

Where It Leads (Rafe Cameron)
Summer I
Part 01: Pick Me Up, No Headlights
series masterlist | next part
summary: It’s your first summer in the Outer Banks.
a/n: I'm so so so excited to introduce my new obx series! This whole thing is based off the song Style by Taylor Swift (which I'm sure you've picked up on lol!) This series is going to be about Rafe during HS so Summer I = the summer before 9th grade and so on and so forth. Enjoy!!
word count: 2k
Tumblr media
The Outer Banks was a little bit like a fantasy. The way your mom talked about growing up under the North Carolina heat with her fearless twin brother, Austin, the decades-long feud between the Kooks and the Pogues, the endless summers, it all felt like a movie. There was a specific smile that snuck onto her face when she talked about the place. Their parents had moved away from OBX to the mountains while she was still in college and she’d never been back. Last September, her father's health had taken a turn for the worse and he passed away rather unexpectedly. Your uncle had suggested to your grandmother that she should move back to the Outer Banks since she was also so happy there. To the shock of everyone and your Nonna bought a house on Figure Eight, just a street over from the home your mother been raised in, and moved back to NC.
You’d flown into the tiny Outer Banks airport two days after the Fourth of July and, so far the sky had stayed crystal blue the entire week you’ve been there. It had been great to have some time with your grandmother all to yourself. The house on Figure Eight was huge; you definitely understood why she’d asked your mother if she would spare one of her three daughters to keep her company for the summer. Having the echoing house all to herself sounded glum. Your older sister was spending the summer in Italy for a college-writing program and since you know how to weaponize your middle child charm, you talked your mom into sending you to OBX rather easily.
“Nonna,” you called down, leaning over the balcony at the top of the stairs. “I can’t find my sandals and I don’t have any other shoes to wear to the Club for lunch.”
Your grandmother walked into the foyer and looked up at you. “y/n you know I can’t understand you when you yell from upstairs.” She turned around and walked back into the kitchen. You sighed under your breath careful that she didn’t hear you since you’d gotten in trouble for doing that yesterday.
Your mother use to complain about the way that her mom always felt the need to act - and have her children act - so posh during her childhood but those stories seemed so strange to you. Like a Nonna from a past life, not the one you knew. However, it seemed the Outer Banks had reignited her need to act sophisticated all the time.
You double-check your appearance in the mirror and then resigned to searching the downstairs of the house for your shoes.

Nonna was busy making small talk with some of the other ladies at the Club after lunch but you were antsy to get back to the beach while the sun was still at its peak. You had had all the polite smiling and nodding you could take in an afternoon.
“I’m gonna- ” you pointed in the direction of the Club bathrooms and your Nonna waved her hand dismissively. You turned on your heel and headed away from her and the others.
You pushed open the door and was surprised at the quietness. You double-checked under all the stalls to make sure no one else was in there before sitting on the counter and resting the back of your head against the mirror. You knew you were probably smudging the glass but you needed a minute from all it.
It wasn’t that you weren’t totally in love with the Outer Banks. It was just that your mom seemed to leave out the strenuously boring parts of her childhood - the small talk, the lunches, the emphasis on class. Plus, on top of that, it seems your grandfather’s death has rattled your Nonna deeper than she cared to admit and she’d become overly cautious about everything. She was keeping a much tighter leash on you than was really needed, or so you thought.
The door swung open and you jumped off the counter hoping whoever had just entered didn’t see you sitting atop it. The young girl stopped rummaging in her cross-body bag and glanced look to meet your gaze. She had on a green and white polka-doted dress and her dirty blonde hair spilled over her shoulders. She looked young, maybe 13 or 14 you guessed.
“Oh. Hi!” She said.
“Hi,” you responded. She walked over to stand next to you facing the mirror. She pulled a pink lipgloss out of her purse and ran it over her top and bottom lips before recapping it.
“Hiding out in here?” She asked. She took your moment of hesitation as an answer. “Yeah, me too. It’s by far the best hiding place. Plus my dad can’t come into the ladies' restroom so it buys me a little time.” She laughed, seemingly at the thought of her dad barging into a women’s bathroom. She looked over at you. “Not to pry but I don’t think I’ve seen at the Club before. Just visiting?”
You nodded. “Yeah, I’m staying with my Nonna, my grandma, for the summer. I got in last week.”
The girl smiled big. “The Outer Banks is ah-mazing. Sarah Cameron, by the way.”
Her genuineness brought a smile to your own face. “I’m so happy to meet you, Sarah. I’m y/n. I haven’t gotten to meet a lot of other kids yet.”
“I’m not really supposed to know this but my brother talks obnoxiously loud on the phone so it’s really not my fault for eavesdropping, but there’s a beach bonfire tonight down at the cove...it’s a Kook party spot.” She clarified after seeing the confusion on my face. “I’m sure he’d be cool with you tagging along.” Sarah reached into her bag and held out her phone. “Put your number in. I’ll pass it along to him.”
“Thank you so much,” you said, your heart feeling warmed by this girl's kindness.
“Yeah, of course,” she stepped forward and wrapped you in an unexpected hug before she exited, leaving the door swinging in her wake.

Your phone rang with an unknown number that afternoon around five, just after you’d gotten back from the beach. You answered the call and tucked the phone between your ear and shoulder as you finished rinsing off your sandy feet.
Sarah’s voice filled the speaker. “Hey y/n, so I told Rafe about you and asked about the party. He said he’ll pick you at 10. Okay? Text me your address so I can give it to him.”
“Yeah, yeah. Okay! Umm...one question Sarah. What do I wear to this bonfire?” You asked.
A friendly laughed echoed through the phone. “Put your bikini under a sweatshirt and some short. You’ll be fine.”
“Um also one more thing,” You said.
“Sure!” Sarah replied.
“I think don’t think my Nonna would be too thrilled about me going to this party so could you ask Rafe to turn off the headlights when he get’s here. She sleeps on the first floor and I’m trying not to get caught sneaking out.”
“Trust me, I know.” You wondered how much 13-year old could possibly know about sneaking out but Sarah was becoming your one friend on the island so you just went with it.
“Thank you Sarah. I owe you.”
“I think you’re gonna get along with Rafe great. Okay, talk to you later. Bye y/n!” The phone beeped as Sarah ended the call. You slipped it back into your beach bag and grabbed your towel off the ground, feeling grateful for your new friend.
☼☼☼
Rafe had shown up at 10:03, a text from another unknown number appeared on your phone announcing his arrival. You'd climbed out of your second-story window and down the attached porch with a surprising amount of ease, only slipping once.
You'd opened the door to the black car and slipped into Rafe’s passenger seat, slight of breath.
Rafe chuckled light. "Hi," he said.
You glanced over, your eyes locking with yours and words escaped you. So Sarah has forgotten to mention her brother was hot. Like the kind of hot girls always giggled about when they passed him in the school hallway. The kind of hot he could probably get away with murder if he just flashed the cops a smile.
That same deadly smile was spreading across his face now. His tongue darted out of his mouth wetting his bottom lip.
"Hi," you squeaked out.
Rafe shifted the car into drive, still refusing to break the eye contact first.
"Should we go?" You asked, your nerves no less unsettled.
Rafe raised his eyebrow conspicuously before turning his head back to focus on the road.
The tension was already killing you and you'd spent less than five minutes together. That was the first moment you realized what Rafe was going to do to your life.
☼☼☼
Your phone pinged as you say around the little bone fire listening to the others talking about the Fourth. You were slowly starting to piece together the names and faces of the other Kooks Rafe had introduced you to.
There was Cole, Milo and Sawyer, who seemed to be Rafe's best friends. Cleo and Riley who welcomed you rather warmly. And Phoebe who had kept her eyes on you all-night in a threatening way that you had tried your best to brush off.
You pulled your phone out of your shorts pocket to see a text from Rafe on the screen.
'Wanna head out?'
You glanced at Rafe to find his eyes already trained at you. You read his text again before nodding your head yes at him.
You turned to Cleo sitting next to you. "It was nice to meet you. I think Rafe and I are gonna go."
"Oh, yeah okay!" She replied. "Wait," she pulled her own phone out of her pocket. "Put your number in. I'll add you to all our group chats. Rafe made it seem like you're gonna be around this summer so you're welcome to hang with us anytime!"
"Yeah, I'm here through August!" You said, smiling at Cleo's offer, taking the phone from her hand.
While you were typing your number into Cleo's phone, Rafe had materialized behind you.
"Thank you so much," you said handing Cleo back her phone.
"Of course!" Cleo replied, her eyes shifting away from your face to look up at Rafe. "Bye Rafe."
"See you later Cleo," he said. "Ready?" He asked looking down at you.
"Hmmhmm," you said before standing up, waving bye to the rest of the group and following Rafe back to his parked car.
"I didn't have anything to drink tonight," Rafe said as you settled into the passenger seat next to him.
"Okay," you replied, thinking back on the night but not remembering Rafe with a solo cup in his hand ever.
"Okay," he repeated back. "I just want to make sure you knew. I wouldn't ever do something that could hurt you."
"Okay," you said again, trying not to read to deep into his comment.
"What you'd think of everyone?" He asked.
"They're nice," you offered. "Different from friends back home."
"Oh, well I hope you'd keep hanging out with me...with us" he paused, quickly correcting himself.
You glanced at Rafe out of the corner of your eye, "Yeah, okay. That sounds good."
"Cool." Rafe said.
His hand on the gear shift twitched, moving the slightest inch closer toward you. You swore you could feel him wanting to grab your hand, to interlaced his fingers with yours but he didn't. His hand stayed in place, his eyes on the road watching as the headlights of the car on the opposite side of the two- lane road grew closer and closer.
Your eyes grew suddenly big with panic and Rafe looked at you with fear written all over his face as you both realized the car was plowing down the wrong side of the street. It was on your side of the road and it was going to hit you.
Rafe frantically spun the wheel trying to avoid the oncoming car but there wasn't enough time.
Your body flew forward on impact before the resistance of the seatbelt caused you to snap back. You felt Rafe’s hand hold onto yours as your eyelids closed and the world faded to black.
