had to go (near) bgc today......... I was so STRESSED just being there. I haven't been there in years but I get flashbacks to how bad commuting to and from bgc was like. and that stress is just gonna follow me every time I'm near that area
ofc no one here knows what I'm talking about except for maybe like a handful of people, but just know that if you're ever in metro manila, do NOT believe anyone who says it's nice to be in bgc. it is a soulless capitalistic haven without good public transportation. dude I'd rather commute to makati, or hell, mall of asia than bgc. bgc is a hellscape (if it's not apparent from the post, I live in north metro manila) (this is also funny bc like. it shouldn't be terrible to go to bgc bc it's quite near makati but makati is sooooo much more accessible. commuting to and from bgc and makati itself is also its own nightmare)

You, Alastor, Niffty, Husk, Angel and Sir Pentious got together and were enjoying a lazy weekend just lounging around the parlor just enjoying each other's company and talking amongst each other. The lot of them fitting on the couch and the floor. You stood beside Alastor sitting on a chair by himself drinking his coffee indulging himself in a casual conversation.
You all turn your heads when the door opens expecting to see Vaggie and Charlie, preparing to greet them and get them to join you all. However, they stop in themselves from doing so when they see the both of them touring a person in.
Your constant smile drops at the sight of her. You immediately recognize the face and voice making you slowly and quietly hid behind the chair Alastor making yourself small as to not catch their attention. Alastor, of course, notices this action and raises his eyebrow.
"And this is Angel and Sir Pentious our other guest, Niffty our cleaning maid and Husk our bartender. Alastor here is the host of the hotel, he's the who supported all our endeavors!" Charlie states.
"Oh! Isn't that the Radio Demon? Dear it is him! I'm a big fan of yours," your mother mooches at Alastor earning a displeased static sound from him when she abruptly shook his hand without his permission.
"Alastor, where's (y/n)? Aren't they always with you?" Charlie asks making you cringe as you cautiously walk towards them.
"(Y/n)? Is that you?" your mother asks in disbelief before enveloping you in a hug, which made you sick to your stomach. "Oh gosh! It's been years! Look at you! You look so skanky with that clothing. You also look like you've gained weight. I told you not to go to culinary school and be a doctor or lawyer instead. You look so fat now, probably from all that meat you're eating. You should've gone vegan look how your Aunt Karen slimmed down, she's been going around and teaching, crazy bitch. Anyway, take my luggage to my room, I need to talk to everyone here. Good? Great."
You tried to get a word in with dejected eyes but lose your voice when she gives you harsh glare. You sigh and take her bags and answered, "Yes mother."
Without you noticing, all the others went deathly silent as they watch you look so sad. Your almost permanent smile disappeared from your face making them surprised and worried. You always smiled around them, mimicking Alastor's grin that was plastered on your face. Sure, they've seen you drop the smile when you were separated with Alastor before but eventually you opened up to them and was seen constantly socializing and smiling around them making them feel relieved being the youngest of all of them, but they never seen you look so sad before. Coupled with the backhanded comments made by your mother, they couldn't help but feel hostile.
Indeed, you were crazy and a bit of a monster, but you were the sweetest most thoughtful thing that ever happened to them. Any occasion was prepared by you ranging from the Hotel's Anniversary, Birthdays and even as miniscule as just a mission accomplished on their rehabilitation program. This encouraged everyone to do better with how much faith you put in them. (That and your cooking is so out of this world that even Angel would dial his drug intake from a 15 to a 13 for a treat.)
So, when your sweet and genuine smile faded, they glared at the perpetrator that made you react so drastically. However, in respect for Charlie they held their tongue first.
"Sooo, what's your relationship with (y/n)?" Charlie asks trying to be polite despite the tense atmosphere.
"Oh, her? She's my daughter. Ungrateful little wench, I took care of her her whole life and the thanks I get is her running away home. Next thing I know she's in a boarding school for taking culinary classes. Where'd that bitch even get that money, she should've paid everything he owed to us first! Her parents! Say, can you make me a drink Whiskers? Just thinking of that bitch makes my head hurt. Make it snappy," she orders around slumping onto a vacant seat making herself very at home.
"Don't call me Whiskers, only my friends get to call me that. And I ain't taking shit from you," Husker replies turning his back at her.
She gasps dramatically and yells, "You call this hospitality?!"
She stands up trying to reach Husk, Angel stands in between them along with Pentious and Niffty before a black tendril shoots out from the ground wrapping around her.
"This is where I draw the line," Vaggie growls pointing her spear at your mother.
"What? You actually like that girl? Pft, what the fuck's that all about. She's ungrateful and good for nothing. You actually like someone as useless as her?" your mother laughs at the protective group, her eyes widen as she sees Charlie change into her demon form.
Alastor gently pushes her behind him stopping her in her tracks. He says, "I'll handle this. This obviously concerns my closest companion so this will fall into my hands."
Your mother scrutinizes him finding his tone and gesture quite odd then her eyes lighten up in recognition. She laughs at him and yells, "You can't be serious! You like that--"
She gets cut off as the tendril wraps around her mouth and drags you in his shadow, ceasing her muffled screams. As soon as she disappears, you come down finding all of them but your mom.
"Where's my mom?"
"Sheeee changed her mind! Yeah! She told us that she had something to do," Charlie lies between her teeth with an anxious look in her eyes making Vaggie elbow her despite her doing the same.
"Oh, I see," you say still not smiling, "Will she come back? Her things are still here."
"Nah. She ain't comin' back, sweet cheeks. She's got better shit to do apparently and wanted us to drop off her stuff on an address," Angel casually lies beckoning her to sit with them petting your head after.
Husk nudges Pentious making him confused for a while before getting the message, answering, " Y-yes! I will do it right now. Eggbois! Take the woman's things outside the hotel!"
While the little eggs tottered to do their master's bidding your eyes slowly light up but not fully their yet.
"Look kid, we won't prod into your business but know if you ever need someone to talk to, you've got a bartender right here," Husk jokes with a grin holding onto his suspenders in a pose making you slightly giggle.
"Hey, hey you got us too!" Angel, Charlie, Niffty and Pentious (that got back from telling them to throw the old bat's shit into the garbage) joined in earning a smile from Vaggie and Alastor.
After you felt better, you called in for the day and left to your rooms. After escorting Alastor to his room he snags you inside then comes in close before petting your head tenderly.
You look at him surprised, although without your normal heart eyes that you give him, confused at his actions.
He brushes his fingers against your cheek electrifying you and states, "Whenever you get into trouble, tell me. I'll handle it myself, after all you are mine."
Your eyes shape into hearts, legs turning into jelly, heart beating faster and faster by the millisecond, trying to comprehend the weight of his words and engraving them into your brain.
"Understood?" he asks pleased with your reaction.
"Yes, Sir~" you breathed out finding yourself flushed red, breath hot and heavily.
"Good," he smiles devilishly.
(I'll leave the ending as ambiguous 😌)

you're ugly when you're drunk.
“hao?”
your voice rings throughout the house, the sound shaky and quieter than usual.
he wouldn't even have known you were home if he hadn't heard your friend's car pull up minutes ago, bright headlights flashing through the bedroom window. he wouldn't have known, if he wasn't already worried sick at you being gone so long and consuming an unknown amount of alcohol. he should've been there with you, but too much was riding on the deadline for his students’ grades that had to be finished before midnight. any other day he would've been by your side the whole night, a steady hand on your arm for balance and a sharp eye on your glass just in case. he loves playing the role of protective boyfriend, letting his girl do whatever she wants because he'll always be there to watch over her. but he couldn't do that tonight, and it tears him up inside.
he hears your trudging footsteps down the hall, soft footfalls signalling your approach as you drag yourself towards the room. he pretends not to hear; he doesn't want to make a big deal out of this and embarrass you.
“you're home early,” he comments with a chuckle, but his sarcasm is lost on you in this state. it's well after 1 in the morning, and you tilt your head in confusion at his words, brows deeply furrowed.
“what— are you working on?” you ask after a moment, focusing all your energy on not stumbling over your words.
you know how drunk you are, he knows how drunk you are, but even now you're still putting on an act. you hate feeling stupid in front of him, and right now you couldn't feel any stupider. the worst part is that you feel as stupid when you're sober as you do right now, but you couldn't tell him that.
he pauses, choosing his next words carefully as he surveys your current state. he can't risk hurting your feelings, especially in such a vulnerable headspace.
“grading finals,” he decides on. not too detailed to confuse you, not too simplified to make you feel stupid, just enough to make you feel involved.
distantly you feel your eyes welling up with tears. you don't know why, but at the same time you know exactly why. you're never good enough compared to him, not when you come home drunk in the dead of night, and he never does. not when he's so good at everything he touches, so talented and beautiful and perfect, and you're… not.
he deserves someone at his level, an artistic genius like him who can help him with his work. someone with an eye for his paintings, someone smarter, someone prettier, someone who can keep him on his toes. someone who won't drag him down and burden him with your obvious lack of skill and your quality of being so embarrassingly lightweight that you need to be supervised at all times.
“i’m sorry,” you finally muster. you can't find the words to explain what you mean, but you hope he's able to sense your sincerity.
“what for?” he asks. his voice is softer now.
you hate it when he uses that voice. he's talking down to you, talking like you're a child and he has to explain everything to you in the gentlest way possible because you aren't capable of handling the truth.
you love when he uses that voice. sometimes he can be so blunt it almost feels isolating, but when he talks to you like you're a child in that sweet, gentle, kind tone you feel like everything will be okay. he can soften himself for you, drop his straightforward persona around you and be the tender man you know he's capable of being.
you lift your eyes to his computer screen and the feelings you've been struggling with float back into view. “i'm sorry,” you repeat, voice cracking despite the effort you put in to stop it from breaking. it's all you can say.
you don't notice when the tears overflow, bursting from your eyes without a sound. you're embarrassing, you're an idiot, standing in front of him with red eyes and hunched shoulders as tears stream down your cheeks. you don't even feel them fall.
if he knows what you're trying to convey with your tearful apologies, he doesn't mention it.
of course he knows, how could he not when he's so astute with everything? you suck at keeping things to yourself.
of course he doesn't know, why would he take the time out of his busy schedule to care about how you're feeling? you're not worth his energy.
the moment seems to stretch on for eternity, standing in front of him. you don't know why you started dating in the first place; he doesn't have the time, you're too annoying, too clingy, too affectionate. standing in front of him, you don't feel anything. you just feel cold.
you turn to drag yourself out of the room, deciding that you've embarrassed yourself enough by now. you don't know where you'll go or what you're doing, probably to pour yourself a glass of water and try to sleep on the couch. obviously he won't want you to sleep in his bed when you’re like this, why should he? you aren’t deserving of that privilege.
but then you feel a warm hand on your wrist, gently tugging you back towards him. you lose your balance, stumble over your feet, fall onto his lap. you're mortified, barely able to get another “sorry” out before trying to stand again on wobbly legs. you shouldn't be here. you're so aware, so painfully conscious of your weight on him, every ounce of energy you have left fighting to keep yourself from annoying him even further but it feels like it's too late. everything that comes from you is too little, too late.
“no,” he says. his tone is still that soft, sweet sound, but his voice is firm and you don't try to get up again. “we can talk tomorrow,” he says as he begins to run his hand along your back, and you hate yourself for the way you instantly melt at his touch. “just… relax. calm down.”
your body slouches against his chest, feeling like a puddle on his lap, head tucked into the crook of his neck whether you meant to or not. your legs dangle limply off his lap, arms wrapped loosely around the back of his chair as he holds you.
“it's okay,” he says simply, still stroking his hand along your back in small, soothing motions. “it's okay.” he repeats the words, maybe to convince himself but mostly to convince you from having a breakdown. even now when he's treating you so delicately, your brain won't let you rest: he's probably scared of you, he doesn't mean it, he doesn't mean any of it and he's using whatever means necessary to stop you from turning hysterical or even violent. of course it doesn't mean anything to him.
“how much did you drink tonight, baby?” he asks, and you know you should take that as judgmental but you don't have the energy left anymore. you don't note the twinge of concern in his voice, you can't see the look in his eyes as he gazes down at you.
“a little— a lot,” you answer, somewhat truthfully. the real truth is that you lost count. you weren't trying to get drunk, but one turned into two turned into ten and before you even knew what you were doing a car was dropping you off in front of your house.
he shifts his legs for you to sit more comfortably on his lap, and as much as you want to fight it you don't have the strength to. “do you want to go to bed?” he asks gently. “or do you want to stay up with me?”
“don't… want you to go to bed ‘cuz of me,” you mumble against his neck. god, his skin is so soft and warm. you couldn't move your body right now even if you tried. “not your fault.”
“what kind of guy would i be if i didn't take care of my girlfriend when she needs me?” he asks. “i can put you to bed if you want. it's alright. it's late anyway.”
“it's not– your job,” you manage to reply, and his hand on your back stops for a second.
“it is my job,” he says softly. he tucks a piece of hair behind your ear. “i'm sorry if you feel like i haven't done that.”
“please, don't— no sorry,” you choke out as fresh tears prick at your eyes. “it's my fault. i'm sorry. it's my fault.”
he holds you tighter, both arms wrapped around you on his lap now. “it's not your fault,” he says in that same firm but gentle voice. “you haven't done anything wrong at all. it's alright, baby, i promise. you don't have anything to worry about. why are you sorry?”
“i don't know,” you mumble. your hand clutches at his chest unconsciously, balling his t-shirt in your fist. “i dunno. i love you. i dunno.”
“i love you, too,” he says after a beat. the tears, the drunken outburst, he just lets it all happen. without a word of complaint. despite the voices in your head fighting to convince you otherwise, he never says a single negative thing to you.
you know he's not normally like this. with everyone else he's polite, unemotional, reserved. he's never vulnerable. which is why you're so confused right now.
“why?” you slur, still grasping onto hope.
he hums in questioning, nudging you to elaborate.
“why are you like this to me?”
but now he's the one who's confused. “like what?”
you pause, and the room goes quiet for a moment, the only sound your shallow breaths against his chest. “nice.”
for all his knowledge, this time he's actually lost. “why would i not be nice to you?”
“i don't deserve it.”
he shifts again, pulling you closer to his chest as he starts to run his fingers through his hair. “of course you do, baby.”
“you don't deserve me.”
he stops again, this time in shock. “hey. that's not true.”
“is too true,” you say. your eyes are closed and you can't help the frown overtaking your face. “you should have somebody you deserve. it's not me.”
he just sighs, and you feel his chest expand beneath your cheek at the deep breath he takes. “i love you, baby. not anyone else. you'll feel better in the morning, and we can talk then. but i'm not mad at you, okay? there's nothing wrong. everything's okay.”
you try to mimic his sigh, but the angle you're laying at on his chest and the alcohol in your system makes it hard to breathe deeply.
“do you want to keep sitting with me?” he asks. he knows how much you like the sounds his keyboard makes, the quiet tapping as he enters grades and types comments to his students about things you could never fathom to understand.
your eyes stay closed and your head doesn't move. “yeah,” you murmur softly.
he settles back into his chair, you curled up on his lap. he's not doing much, he's finished the worst of it and now just entering numbers. he glances down at your figure, almost asleep on him, and he feels an ache in his chest.
every emotion feels amplified to you right now, but if it took getting blackout drunk for you to finally say it then it must've been weighing on you for a long time coming. he wonders how long you've felt like this, felt inadequate compared to him, and it makes him pause. it was never his intention. when you're awake and sober and hopefully not massively hungover, then you can talk, and he can make this right.
he loves the person snuggled against his chest, loves the feeling of you comforted and protected by him, and he'll do anything to make sure you know that. he'll do anything to let you see yourself the way he sees you. above all the worries he has about you, he knows one thing for sure.
you're cute when you're drunk.

You were not in the best mood and it showed.
The people who woukd usually greet and talk to you seem to avoid you because you looked like you didn't want to be bothered. If the look on your face didn't give it away, your hastened pace and rigid body language absolutely did.
See, you weren't having a bad day. You were actually on the verge of an emotional breakdown. It all started about a week ago when your group of friends talked about going for a night out, bar hopping or clubbing or something and they talked over you completely. One person actually had the decency to ask your opinion directly while the others only said things like 'oh she wouldn't like that' 'that's so not (y/n)' 'she'd just be in the corner being a bummer' and more. While you do realize they were just joking around and trying to be funny, it hurt you that they'd just talk FOR you. Sure, you really didn't like their plans but it HAD been a while since all of you met up and hung out.
So imagine your surprise to see your friends posting a picture of their drinks on their social media accounts.
You stood frozen in the middle of the grocery store when you saw one of their Instagram stories and you even had to sit in a corner as you scroll through your group chat that had been practically dead for 2 days, wanting to see if you missed any updates because as far as you know, they were only talking about a plan and not making actual plans. Now you know why those bitches were so fucking silent.
"Well, well, well, if it isn't 703," Wooyoung called, snickering to himself as he sidled up next to you who was waiting for the elevator. Usually, you wouldn't mind the younger guy because you had been used to his voice. How can you not? The first day you saw him was when he moved in for college. You had just finished your first week of internship and he had accidentally bumped into you. Literally, he dropped a thermos on your foot which prompted you to cry in front of a very confused and panicked 17 year old Wooyoung. Though he was unsure, he sat his boxes aside and just sat there while listening to you rant about how he shouldn't grow up, get out of college, and just go back to his parents' house because working and being independent was so overrated. Rather than focusing on how you were spewing your guts to a complete stranger, Wooyoung was more focused on why a 20 year old sounded like she had gone through 4 divorces and a public scandal.
It was odd how you were able to be vulnerable with him and it was even more odd to find him in front of your door that night with two packs of ramyeon and a huge grin on his face. He confessed he had bothered approximately every apartment on floors 1-6 and half of floor 7 looking for you because he wanted to make sure you were okay. You should've been embarrassed that a guy who's practically a child had to come and comfort you but you didn't. He made you feel comfortable.
Unlike now.
"Go away Wooyoung, I'm not in the mood," you sighed, shifting the grocery bags in your hands slightly. Wooyoung didn't listen, however, instead, he leaned his shoulder on the wall and ducked his head to meet your eyes which you avoided, "I thought you would've been busy with your friends tonight or something. I had to rethink of a new plan to make a move on you!" He teased.
The mention of your friends and hanging out, your blood boiled and your grip on the grocery bags tightened. "Wooyoung," you warned, jaw tightening as you felt your eyeballs burn. "I'm just saying, I thought my sexy little noona would've been out and about," he grinned innocently (despite the words he used).
You dropped your grocery bags and turned around, making way to the stairs. "Whoah, wait!" Wooyoung grabbed your hand and turned you around, "What's wrong?" He said with furrowed eyebrows, genuinely confused as to why you acted that way. He was even more confused when you yanked your hand off his grip and saw tears welling in your eyes.
"You can seriously shove whatever it is you think of me down your throat, Wooyoung," was all you said before you trodded upstairs to your floor.
It was a mistake for you to do that because once you finally made it, you were panting and the blurriness in your eyes was not only caused by your tears but also from the exercise. So you weren't sure if the sight of Wooyoung in front of your apartment was real or a hallucination. He even had your groceries in his hands.
"Go home, Woo," you sighed, sniffling as you fumble for your keys in your bag. This time he wasn't as vocal, only shrugging until you opened your door and slipped in together with you despite your clear expression of annoyance but you still let him in. You both were silent as you removed your shoes and settled your things, Wooyoung helping put things away which was how he noticed you buying your favourite cereal and milk, a comfort "dinner" for whenever you felt like your life was on the verge of tipping into pure chaos and you just don't have any time and energy to give a fuck about crap like dinner. "I'm not going to entertain you, Woo," you stated, voice cracking slightly as tears welled up in your eyes again all the while you tried to busy yourself by putting things away.
You hadn't noticed it initially but when you turned to kick him out again, you saw him with a bowl of your cereal and a soft smile on his face. "If what you need is me out, then I will go but not until I see you eat," he stated, putting the bowl on your counter and sauntering over to pull you so he could sit you down to eat.
In your head, you knew how ashamed you were for needing Wooyoung who's around 3 years younger than you to take care of you. But it felt nice to be tended to for once. Amongst your friends who were around the same age as or older than you, you were always expected to keep things together because they don't really have the time or energy to deal with what they labelled as "personal bullshit". Or maybe they're just a bunch of bitches dressed in fake prada and cheap jewellery that were slowly turning green with each wear. Wooyoung had once expressed how he doesn't like your friends because of what they were saying about you to your face even in front of him who was a stranger to them but they didn't seem to care. Heck, they seem to enjoy being annoying, catty bitches.
Thinking that you weren't going to eat in front of him, Wooyoung smiled and squeezed your hand once before turning to leave but this time, you stopped him. You grabbed him by the arm and with quivering lips, you looked up at him, "D-do you think y-you can accompany me eat on the couch? I-I think I'm gonna need company," you asked.
Without hesitation, Wooyoung nodded and pulled you into a gentle and warm hug. "Can this 'company' include watching A Man Called Otto? Because San watched it without me and he cried so I wanted to know if the movie was really THAT sad or if he was just being a bitch," he pulled away just as he heard you chuckling and felt you nodding, "Only if you have a bowl of cereal with me."
As you watched Wooyoung busy himself with getting his own bowl of cereal and making both of you comfortable on your couch, you realized that it was stupid of you to have been upset to be left behind by your supposed friends. Sure, it sucks to be singled out and heard how your friends make you sound so lame. But honestly? Being in your own home with Wooyoung loudly commenting about the movies as you spoon cereal and milk into your mouth, you wouldn't have it any other way.

My love for Albedo and Rubedo have returned to punch me in the gut
I'm picturing a scenario where Rubedo comes across Albedo's s/o and they don't notice any difference, so they treat him just like they would Albedo and end up taking part in some intimate activities
And would you look at that, now he's in love with Albedo's partner too
Guess there's gonna be some sort of competition now :)
(Not a request, just brainrotting)
[Thirst]!
those two will be pulling each other's hair i can see it lol
oh poor ruebedo! drowning in your affections that was meant for your albedo. you didn't notice the star gone from his neck, the one you called pretty all the time when you compliment albedo. you approach him from the back with an embrace, nuzzling his hair and asking how his day has been. ruebedo tensed, unsure how to react. shit, it was albedo's lover. he can't be identified, he mustn't. so he tries, tries to act the way he believes albedo would act with you; turning around and hugging you back, burying his head in your chest and you're none the wiser, returning back his affection.
oh, tsk tsk, reader you're meanie! how dare you! you've captured his heart, all the while albedo was gone and he was in his place, he was spoiled with your love. your arm around him as he sits down with you on the couch (i know there's no couch in his lab but bear with me lol) and relaxing by the fire, you playing with his hair occasionally. you tell him about your day, saying how you missed him and wished he was by your side. rubedo was feeling warm, hot. the way you say it, it makes his stomach churn in want. how could albedo keep you from him? the way you caress him, telling him how you love him, makes jealousy burn inside him. he must have you, albedo can't! albedo doesn't deserve you! he's always away doing god knows what but he's here! he'll let you take him, he'll be yours!
so he takes action. he makes the first move, sitting on your lap and wrapping his arms around you and pulling you close, kissing you. you were taken aback at first as your albedo was shy when it comes to being intimate with you but you won't complain, you were excited more than anything, believing your "albedo" wants you.
one things leads to another and now we have ruebedo being fucked sensless on the couch, face buried in the pillow and eyes crossed as your hips thrust in a fast pace. "hghuk—! [name]! slo—slow down! you're gonna make me cum! i'll ohh— i'll cum!", you hips thrust faster, hips snapping against his ass and leaning down his ear, "go on, albedo, cum for me." ruebedo screams, in both frustration and pleasure, cum shooting out and ruining the couch below. as he catches his breath he thinks, he'll make you say his name.
after pulling out, you kiss his temple, praising how good he was for you. you help him lie down in a comfortable position and tell him you'll get him cleaned up. as you prepare a washcloth, you were unaware of the real albedo entering the cave, seeing his doppelgänger lying so comfortably on the couch and seethes. look like there's a pest he needs to take care of.
could've gone for a better route and have a threesome with both ruebedo and albedo but i like to see fights hehheheh maybe right after? tame them a bit and they'll be pliant. and to make them get along, you fuck their holes! <33 (should've done this tbh lmao)

The next few workouts grew increasingly more distracting and less efficient. Kirishima made it a point to talk more, get closer to you when not always necessary, and encourage you in ways he wouldn't use with other people who came to join.
You had moved to working out with varying amounts of Hero Course students that he introduced as his friends, too, all eager to meet you, in the Hero-specific gym.
This night wasn't the first time you visited his dorm room. The first was about five days prior when he invited you up to take a shower in his room.
Nothing 'happened,' but the whole experience was enough to fuel your fantasies for a few nights and make it evident that he wanted you, very badly and under any tangible excuse, in his bedroom.
It was Thursday night, and you had next to nothing else to do, so when he called, you picked up after a few rings and a deep breath.
(Y/n)!
He sounded so happy to say your name.
"Eijiro!" You smiled, not quite as excitable, but you did your best.
You busy tonight?
He laughed just off of the microphone, and you heard some other voices. He told one of them to shush, and another to go away. Your brow furrowed. It was one thing if he wanted you to come over, but another if you were hanging out with his friends.
Hello?
"Depends," You trailed, fingers fidgeting with your pajamas.
Iiiii was just wonderin' if you'd come hang for a while. No workout or anything.
His voice was a little sing-songy. It was extremely cute. While you were trying to rub the smile off of your face, he continued.
Just us.
"Yea-h," You answered, breathless.
It took a while to get ready to your liking after he let you off the phone. Thankfully, you showered earlier, so in the time it took to get dressed and out the door, he called again to ask if he needed to come get you.
You told him that wouldn't be necessary, as flattering as it was, and it took another minute to get him to hang up.
The Support Course housing wasn't too far away from his, you knew the way, and it was certainly not a dangerous walk, but when you turned the only corner of the walk, a familiar heavy-footed redhead was there to take you the remainder of the way.
"I should've walked with you the whole way!" He insisted when you told him his chivalry was appreciated, but not needed.
Surely he had safety as a primary concern. His Hero-centered brain was certain something might happen on the ten-minute walk over.
It was an animated walk to the dorms with this chatterbox next to you, but nothing compared to the chaos inside. Most students were gathered in the common area, loud and boisterous, all confirming your anxieties.
Kirishima picked up on this and kept a hand on your shoulder as you both passed, mostly unnoticed, through the busiest area near the entryway.
When the door closed, and the moment of relief was gone, you were a bit unsure of yourself. His company in public, or the gym, was one thing, but completely alone, behind a door?
You texted a friend where you were just in case.
But upon further inspection, he had prepared a silly movie and some snacks for you. His beanbag was what you were most excited about, but you kept it cool and only sat down at the soonest opportunity it could look natural. He took a seat on a small mat next to it and leaned on the bag. He was too big to share it with you but still wanted to be close.
The movie was menial compared to how much you both talked through it.
You got on the topic of perception and types, attractiveness, and the like. He had a difficult time understanding how you found him pretty and manly.
"What?" He laughed; he'd never been called that before. He liked it, but prompted you to explain.
He twisted his body to meet yours, already close on the floor right next to you.
"Well, you know-- you know," You tried to express, hand darting back to your side after leaving its resting place on his massive shoulder.
It was so much harder to compliment him when he wouldn't just take it. You sunk lower into the beanbag.
Part of him knew, you could hear it in the clip at the end of his sentences, a subtle request for you to keep making a fool of yourself.
"I don't think I do," He nabbed one of your wrists, his smile spreading when he found a similar one on your face and placed it back on his shoulder.
His eyes were eating you up, the inside of his own cheek offered as tribute in order to satiate his nerves.
"Well," You pushed a curious thumb into his ample flesh and tried to control a quick sigh, "You're... attractive."
"Attractive?" Kirishima repeated, amused and intrigued by your slow admission.
Quicker, a little panicked, you tried to rationalize it out loud, "Yeah, my friends think you are-- you're conventionally attractive, like it's not a secret or anything, everyone thinks you're hot."
An unsure hand slid, pressing here and there, over his squishy, thick bicep. You could barely fit your fingers all the way around it. There were an array of stretch marks, dark to light, all over his arms, chest, and on his tummy.
Maybe mentioning your friends was a wrong move, because now it sounded like you had gushed about him and showed pictures of him-- something you totally did do, but he didn't need to know that.
In your quick explanation, you couldn't keep quiet because you didn't want to hear his reply yet, so you just kept going, "A tall guy with huge muscles, and-- a big smile, with good hugs, who's really sweet, and considerate, and is open-minded and asks questions. I mean, who wouldn't like you?"
You had to suck in a breath, and in doing so, realized everything you said just as he did.
"Well, you make a pretty solid case," He laughed. He was blushing-- blushing, and had to look away from you.
This wasn't your first rodeo with a big guy, but it was certainly the most exciting. There was something about his soft, silly demeanor that held a chokehold on your heart.
He stood up and offered a hand to take you with him. But he pulled a tad too hard and you stumbled against him. He smiled, bashful still.
"What-uh, what else do you like?"
Your head was spinning. Maybe he wasn't so confident? Was that it? You were usually the one to break eye contact, but your clumsy, stupid words seemed to unlock the key to a shy side.
"U-hm," Eyes and fingers flitted up to his chest, then his broad shoulders, "I like... how strong you are."
Big hands squeezed around your waist, setting off a flurry of butterflies, and kept you plastered across his front, instead of your attempted distance.
"'Shouldn't tell me that," He muttered, fingers locked around each other on the curve of your spine.
You wanted to feel everything while you could-- you directed your touch to the back of his neck, and reached up as far as you could go with a face of focused concentration. Your voice was quiet, far away.
"Why not? It's true."
The grip pulling on you shifted and in seconds, he muscled you up by the ass to sit on his hips-- your thighs squeezed him but didn't need to when his grip was forcing you so hard against his cock.
He made a toothy grin at your shifting around, frantic grabbing, and looking down at the distant floor, "Gotta stay humble, man."
"Shut up," You couldn't look at his blacked-out pupils, so you opted for his mouth instead.
There were little scars all over his bottom lip, and when you started to glance around his handsome face, you realized there were many more.
You adjusted your hands around the back of his neck and, in the process of studying him, found a bigger one.
"Your eye," You took a thumb to his brow, concerned despite his small chuckle.
He closed his eyes to let you check out the shape, and you noticed he had a crooked nose. It looked like he'd broken it a few times, actually.
"That's from forever ago-- just my own shitty Quirk--,"
"Your Quirk isn't shitty." You stated, surprised a Hero Course student would bash on their own Quirk so casually.
His Quirk was, honestly, pretty cool. You wished you could do half of the things he could, and you were sure countless other students in his class felt the same way.
You rolled your hips up to lock your legs, "I like your Quirk."
He was so hot and firm, it was distracting-- you immediately needed to know if it would fit. A breathy laugh pushed past his lips and he looked down, away from you, with an identical thought.
Your lips were barely an inch apart when he looked back up, conflicted and bothered in many ways.
"I really like when you do that," He muttered, focused entirely on your glossy bottom lip.
You did a lot of things but boiled it down to either the grinding or the compliment.
"I...really like you, too--"
For some reason, his trailing off sounded like he was about to say 'but,' which didn't make any sense. You started to frown. You thought all the feelings were pretty uncomplicated, here.
"--But I wanted to take you to dinner, first."
A smile that was so big it hurt stretched across your face. That was the cutest, hottest thing you ever heard.
Your palm flattened against the side of his head and he followed your gentle lead, like a puppy on a leash, just happy to be there. Happy to please.
You considered it, only because he looked genuinely apologetic.
But he adjusted you a little on his hips, and his fingers were edging onto your bare skin, and you lost your train of thought.
"We can worry about dinner tomorrow,"  A mumbled solution was quickly swallowed by his hungry mouth-- you quickly learned that he was a messy kisser, but didn't have the energy to care.
Strawberry lipgloss smeared to oblivion, he left you breathless and pained when he pulled away to sit down and enjoy your flawless neck.
His lengthy time there, hands clawing the plush of your ass, forced you to sit still and pretty on top of his confined cock.
You pushed your forehead onto his oversized shoulder, panting already at the restraint and realization that you'd have to go out in public with huge splotches of purple and green all over your neck.
He sunk his teeth into you and closed his jaw, leaving deep, puffy lines in your skin-- you squirmed away with a shaky sound, but were only met with a forearm barring you in by the lower back.
"If you don't like it rough, you can always tell me to stop," He reminded you, playful and a little condescending.
If he was going to be filthy, you wanted to return the energy.
"Mm-mm," While he was more maneuverable, you took the opportunity to press another deep, needy kiss on his big, scarred lips, "Put those teeth to good use."
Kirishima almost shied away from your sugar-sweet tone, your sudden confidence in the face of words that he had to craft very carefully. His saving grace was your subtle confirmation.
"I knew you had a thing for my teeth," He stole a few more giggly kisses and was sure to carefully take your bottom lip.
It was technically a lie-- he didn't come up with that theory on his own. Sero had to bring it up with him after he noticed your fixation.
"I've got a thing for you," You admitted.
Your hands explored his broad back, trying to fight your squirming as he switched sides and started high on the other side of your neck. His excited chuckles buzzing against your heated skin were not making it easy.
His long hair kept getting in your face. Instead of blowing the locks away, you tracked your fingers up through the back and tugged it away, but it elicited an almost automatic motion in his hips, up into you.
You laughed at his failed grab up at your fist and, with the same mocking tone he used with you, chirped, "If you don't like it rough..."
"God, you're funny too--," Kirishima sighed and pulled your shirt over your head before you could object.
"Oh."
He must not have realized your common choice to go braless beforehand, because your blank torso left a funny, flushed look on his face.
It was hard to tell, though, and your immediate understanding of his surprise demanded an apology and crossed arms with an uncomfortable chuckle, "Sorry-- I think you've got me beat in cup size."
"No-nono, they're great, fantastic, amazing," He pulled on your arms and explained so quick you had to read his lips to understand him, "I didn't mean to- I'm just-- happy I don't have to struggle with a clip."
You had to wonder how many girls he'd been with, what his expectations were, because he clearly had some experience.
As he hoisted you up, light as a feather to him, to put you on your back, you wondered if he was good. If he'd be patient with the best and worst parts.
The mattress groaned beneath his weight as he wasted no time to shift over your pretty, raised chest. When he put a fraction of his body on you, you almost gave the same reaction.
His lips and tongue on your sensitive bud almost convinced you to not ask, but your body was screaming for him to get off.
"How much do you weigh?"
You raked your fingernails through his scalp with a labored inhale and felt him smile.
"290[131 kg], around there." He kissed the bitemark he left on your breastbone and switched sides.
Half of the time, you couldn't fathom how massive he was in comparison to you, so you didn't try. But now, with practically nothing else to do than compare, it was mindblowing.
If he wasn't careful, he might risk seriously injuring you. Rough, for his size and strength, might actually be dangerous. You cringed at how unsexy it sounded to suffer a torn muscle or a broken bone because you didn't know each other's limits.
"Still not where I want to be," His canine almost clipped you as he spoke, forcing you to flinch, "Trying to get to 300."
Your thighs squeezed around his torso, shamefully turned on by the risk. He made a grumbly, understanding groan on your breast with a dose of intense eye contact.
"You like big guys, huh?"
You huffed and pushed on his enormous shoulders, "Obviously."
Another kiss to the center of your chest gave way to lower and lower toothy, ruttish kisses. He loved the way you fueled his ego by acknowledging his size.
"Can I--," You sighed, not wanting to be picky, but concerned for your pussy with his combined leverage and clumsy habits in this position, "Can I sit on your face--?"
"Yes."
That was a lot easier than you anticipated. He quickly wrapped his arms around you, determined to not let you move without his manual aid, and fell onto his back.
He was very pretty under you.
Hair splayed out, at least before he started to tie it up, his impressive body all exposed for you to admire and touch, his eyes glued to only you.
You didn't want to part from the print in his sweatpants, perfectly content grinding on it instead, but he hooked his hands beneath your thighs and pulled you up.
As disappointed as you were to part, you knew you needed this so it'd fit easier.
It took a moment to find the tiny zipper of your skirt, but when you did, Kirishima moved your hands away and did it himself, grinning at your cute frown.
"You gotta get used to me doing things for you, baby," He dropped them off of the side of the bed.
"Baby?"  You repeated to yourself, more focused on the name and insinuation that he wanted to do this regularly than his head between your thighs.
He brought you out of your spinning head with a long, slow kiss to your thigh, longer and slower than he originally intended, because now he wanted to mark all of you up.
Another bite reminded you--
"Be careful with your teeth- please."
The chewing on your other leg paused, and he chuckled against it, "Of course."
A slow, gentle kiss through your thin, soaked undies, "I'm real careful when I wanna be."
Your posture struggled to stay up already. You took a fistful of his hair and screwed up his ponytail as his arms held you down, fingers hooked into the fabric.
The sharp, invasive noise of a door opening and a familiar, scratchy voice shot your body with a stiffness you had never felt before.
"Hey Dumbass, let's get this over with already, I wanna--,"
Two pairs of red eyes widened at the same exact time as you caught your breath to scream bloody murder.
Kirishima pushed you into the mattress with a Hero-like quickness, shushing your shrill curses and smothering your body with his comforter and own body.
It was far too late. Bakugou was standing stock-still at the open door, hand struggling to find it again in order to close it, while he stared open-mouthed and beet red at his buddy.
Despite you yelling at him to get out, fuck off, get lost, and the like, he only listened to Kirishima when he was told to, 'Wait outside the door for a sec, man.'
"It's okay, it's okay, it's okay," He leaned over you, breathing hard and on the verge of tears, "It's okay, you're okay--,"
"It's not!! It's not! You didn't lock the door?!"
"The dorms here don't have locks," He explained, way too calm for your liking.
You repeated, 'Don't have locks,' until you could find another thing to focus on.
"He saw me," You got worked up again, sniffling, "He--,"
"Awww, nonono," Kirishima lifted you up into a strong hug and kissed the side of your head, "I promise he doesn't care, baby. He's not that kinda guy."
It was too much, you were just with him in the gym and now he saw you, completely nude, sitting on his best friend's face. You wanted to leave immediately.
"I'm gonna talk to him, okay?"
He tried to let you go, but you stayed latched on, making him laugh. He grabbed a stray shirt from his bedframe and smelled it, then offered it as a replacement.
You first wiped the tears off of your face with it, hasty and angry, then mumbled as he stood back up, "Beat him up or something."
"I'll try," He joked and gave your leg a little rub before leaving to meet Bakugou in the hall.
His absence was sobering.
The very first thing you did was shimmy yourself into his gigantic t-shirt, with an obnoxiously long inhale through the dark grey cotton. His scent was like a shot of morphine.
Then, you sat very still, his collar over your nose, comforter still confining you like a caterpillar, to listen to the sounds of hushed voices right outside the door.
Why the hell didn't you knock--?
Don't get pissy at me! You're not supposed to have chicks in your room!
Bro, you KNEW how I felt and you KNEW she was over.
And YOU knew that Stats assignment was due at six. YOU asked ME to come over at 5.
It wasn't quite Kirishima throwing punches, but he did sound upset for you. You linked your fingers together and stared at the door.
I thought I made it pretty clear what I'd be doing for the next few hours, man.
No, No, No, and you still haven't. Looks like you beat the shit out of her! What the hell is on her neck?!
Dude, come on, you've never seen a hickey? Oh, waaait--
Don't.
There was a moment of tense quiet, and you were still holding out hope for Kirishima to kick his loud friend's ass, but it never came.
Let's just hurry this up.
The doorknob twisted then returned without opening. You pulled the shirt back down where it was supposed to go. More heated words, then Kirishima reappeared with an initial look that could kill. It was replaced with a polite, mom-pleasing smile at you.
"Hi," He waved, then glanced behind the door, "I hate to ask, but--"
"Move." Bakugou reappeared and didn't even spare a glance in your direction.
Despite Kirishima's warnings, went straight to the desk and sat a bag down, his permanent grumpy face no indicator of what he was thinking or what he felt.
Instead of joining him, Kirishima sat on the mattress next to you, found your skirt in the process, and pressed a gentle kiss to your forehead.
"Like I said, he doesn't care," He rolled his eyes back to Bakugou, then sighed at how adorable you looked in his bed and the blunt pain in his pants.
His hand rested on the side of your face, the pad of his thumb dusting over your puffy bottom lip. He leaned in to kiss you.
"Oh my god, let's go," Bakugou clicked on the online assignment.
"Would you chill the fuck out?" Kirishima spat, his face dropped to one of bitter annoyance.
Red flag or not, you couldn't tell through your rose-colored glasses. You liked how upset he got over not spending alone time with you right now.
Even Bakugou, who knew him a lot better, a lot longer, than you, looked surprised to hear that tone leave his mouth.
Ever trifling, he shook it off and reminded him as he walked over, "Coulda done this shit two weeks ago."
As they shared more passive-aggressive words, you realized all you could do was sit there and stare at a wall. Your phone was on the desk next to Bakugou's hip, so there was no quality distraction for you.
You started counting the stripes on your skirt, then pleats, then stitches.
That got boring, so you started trying to look at what was on the shirt he gave you. Some old red guy.
He had the same old Hero on a few posters in his room. Crimson Riot-- you realized he must've modeled his whole Hero theme from him. The name and vibe were pretty similar.
He had a lot of pillows. Your understanding was that guys usually had two, or just one. But he had seven on his bed. Maybe he had sleeping problems? Or maybe he just liked pillows. Hopefully not like that.
You wondered why he kept someone like Bakugou around as a best friend. You were still pissed off at him, so it was hard not to stare, but you could get away with steeping in your frustration a while longer.
Not only was their Class better-known throughout the school for being really stupid and really great, but Bakugou was the acme of stupid and great, so every rumor and preconception you had was confirmed, so far, with his behavior. Just as much of an asshole as everyone says.
But it must've meant something that Kirishima liked him. Either Kirishima was meaner than he was letting on, or Bakugou was nicer. You hoped it was the latter.
They were stuck on a problem, and while Kirishima didn't seem to care so much, Bakugou was losing it over his own answer being wrong.
Apparently, their assignments had slightly different questions. Modeled the same, but with different values. And Bakugou couldn't figure this one out.
You got tired of hearing him repeat himself, how he had to be right, how the person who made this version of the assignment put something in wrong.
Although you had different teachers for Statistics, the material couldn't have been entirely dissimilar. You stood and realized you didn't even need the skirt-- his shirt was like a sundress.
"I didn't think Hero Course students took normal subjects," You tiptoed over to the desk, on the opposite side as Bakugou, and kept your eyes fixated on the problem on the screen.
Maybe if Kirishima wasn't distracting you, you weren't distracting him.
You mumbled under your breath, "Events which occur randomly... rate r counted over... period of length s so... event count X is Poisson...Find P of X is 2, X is... okay, ummmm," You tucked your lip between your teeth and stole the paper from Bakugou's side to record all of the given elements of the question.
He rolled his eyes and crossed his arms as you started explaining in much clearer detail what they all stood for, why it seemed like a bunch of mumbo-jumbo, and answered his sometimes mind-bogglingly stupid questions with enviable patience.
It was starting to become obvious that Kirishima was not perfect. He even struggled with basic math.
One could argue that based on the number of times you caught him looking at the hem of his shirt on your thigh, it was safe to assume that maybe he had something else on his mind, too.
"Sooo, that would mean...?"
Kirishima leaned forward, two strong forearms on either side of you, to type his answer into the box.
Your tummy was doing flips as he rolled his chair closer, face pressed into your waist.
A little green checkmark appeared. He pulled you in by the opposite hip and kissed your side while Bakugou snatched up the work you helped Kirishima do.
"You're such a good teacher," Was mumbled low and smiley into the softness of your waist-- you cringed away, but once again, he held you still.
Bakugou didn't acknowledge it. But he didn't shoo you away or make any comments when Kirishima tugged you into his lap.
First, you shoved his shirt down so there wasn't a repeat of last time, and then, you tried to keep your pitiful protests to yourself once he started bouncing his leg up and down.
He pressed you to the edge of the desk so he could still write and type while Bakugou basically just told him what to do.
After that question, there weren't any more mistakes that needed fixing.
Which was fortunate considering that you would be incapable of forming a cohesive sentence. The constant force of his thigh was absolute heaven against your neglected pussy.
You kept face until Bakugou began to gather his things to leave. When he turned to place a textbook in his bag, Kirishima snaked an arm around your waist and started to add to the marks he left on your neck earlier.
Your thighs squeezed and you clawed at his knee and his wrist. He bit your ear in return and shoved his face into your hair.
The blond slung his bag over his shoulder.
Kirishima briefly came back to the real world with a quick dap-up and, "Take care, dude. See ya tomorrow."
"Yeah," Bakugou glanced at you, then back at his buddy, "Be safe."

I gotta stop using the same gifs over and over again. Anywho, just random headcanons about them when they were younger. A few of these is what my siblings and I did but listen-. No sad shit this time around, but next time issa wrap no bun (word to CoryXKenshin)
When they were younger Bi-Han realized someone was drinking his shit, so he started spitting in it
He also loudly announces that he did so and that whoever drank his shit was drinking his germs
Kuai Liang responded by saying “well we both share the same DNA”
Revolting. Yuck.
Tomas smiles when he's nervous so people always think he's lying.
“Did you drink my slushy?” “No” “Yes you did. You're smiling” “YOU'RE MAKING ME NERVOUS”
D if you ever see this, I did not drink that fucking slushy years ago and getting mom involved was actually so foul. “Put that on my dead granny”, WHY WOULD I LIE ON GRANDMA? I SHOULD'VE drank it. Should've took a big ass gulp
Moving on-
Like I said in my last post, Bi-Han and Kuai Liang have definitely jumped Tomas before
They call it play fighting, Tomas calls it attempted murder
Bi-Han is the “come here” brother and Tomas is the “you're gonna hit me” brother
Bi-Han is also the “you want a cookie?” and Tomas is the “what'd you do to it?”
Speaking of those two, the real reason Bi-Han doesn't like Tomas is because Tomas would stand in his doorway and when Bi-Han would tell him to get out, Tomas would say “I'm not in your room”
Kuai Liang would put his finger close to Bi-Han but say he's not touching him
That's the real reason he betrayed them. It's true. I asked him.
Idk which one them does it but one of these mfs puts the cereal box in front of them to ignore the brother they're mad at
Tomas is “your dad is pissing me off”, Kuai Liang is “lmao what happened?”
Bi-Han’s room is the chill out spot against his will
Kuai Liang has accidentally set someone on fire 100% and they never let him live it down (my siblings did that on purpose but scooting right along) (no one died😃)
Tomas is the victim of white jokes. He'll say smth and here comes Bi-Han “why are you?? speaking?? to me?? as a white person?? go eat salt??”
Kuai Liang is “hey can I have a bite?” and Bi-Han says “sure” then licks all over whatever he has.
“Tuesday is my day with the TV” “you're adopted. shut up”
Bi-Han has gotten the other two into several fights ‘cause he has a bad temper and his siblings ride for him
This one time my sister yelled at a teacher for yelling at me and that's Bi-Han. Like yeah, he's not the nicest as an adult but as a kid? The only mf that's allowed to yell at his brothers is HIM.
They've all gotten whooped because none of them snitch on each other. This is a ride or die brotherhood (for now) (not me tho. My mom got a heavy ass hand. You're on your own)
“Tell your brother to do those damn dishes” “you want me to say it like that? with the curse word?” “go ahead”
Whoever it is goes to their brother and- “dad said get your big nasty ass up and clean those motherfucking dishes before he whoops your skinny long neck ass”
I cannot pinpoint who exactly would do this and risk the whooping so imma just say they've all been guilty
Bi-Han and Kuai Liang are those annoying ass kids asking you to play bloody knuckles. If you don't get the fuck away from me-
Tomas played with Kuai Liang once and quit immediately
Kuai Liang is the “I only had a cup” when the juice is all gone. Yeah, you had a big ass cup you get from Super America. The Minute Maid is gone because of you
Bi-Han and Kuai Liang, “Say Fuck, I'm not gonna tell dad”. Tomas says “no” and the day he does say it now he's being blackmailed
Kuai Liang would help Bi-Han look for shit he knows he took. Y'all may think Kuai Liang would never do such a thing. He's so sweet. THAT'S HOW HE GOT AWAY WITH IT!
When they accidentally really hurt the other and hear their parents, they have different reactions. Bi-Han is the “tell them. I don't care. Actually, I'll tell them for you” brother. Kuai Liang is the “wait wait wait, calm down. Stop crying. Look, you can hit me back. You want candy?” brother. Tomas is the “that was actually an accident. My bad” brother.
Tomas actually learned all that smoke… magic… uhh… shit so he could defend himself cause he was getting ragdolled in that house
Kuai Liang is actually really nice to Tomas now cause he looks back and thinks “wow, I was kinda an asshole”
For example, Tomas was living his life and here comes these maniacs grabbing him and putting his bare feet in the snow
Idk, I just really think Tomas was fighting for his life in that house
It was all in love but now he jumps when they move a little too fast
Tomas tells his brothers he loves them a lot because he wasn't able to tell his birth family before they were killed. He wants them to always know and whenever their time does come, he wants it to be the last thing they hear from him or the last thing he says before he dies.
Kuai Liang usually says it back or says something else comforting. His way of saying “I love you” can be something as simple as a hand on the shoulder. Sometimes instead of saying “I love you”, he says “I care about you”. Personal preference
Bi-Han used to say “I love you” back but as time passed, he stopped. He's someone who gets kinda uncomfortable when it comes to vulnerable emotions. His way of saying “I love you” is “are you hurt?”. It's usually only used after a form of combat but combat can make you realize that your life is on a time limit. We saw in game and by intro dialogues that he was hurt by Kuai Liang not sticking by him. The idea that he doesn't care for his family AT ALL I think is false. I think he cares but he cares about his own goals more.
That's all I got for fluffy shit rn
I’m actually someone who enjoys angst way more than fluff but thinking about them and angst makes my heart fall into my ass … imma write some later tho

Shadow the Hedgehog x gn! Reader Headcanons
I watched all the Sonic Prime episodes in one day LMAO I LOVE IT SO MUCH
Anyways,
PROLOGUE HCS
As most hcs with this mf starts, it took forever for him to finally trust you, let alone get into a relationship with you
I mean, can you blame him really? He's lost a lot, he's gone through a ton of shit, it's kinda to be expected
He talked to Rouge one day about how he felt more comfortable around you than others and she teased him relentlessly
"Shadoooow, you like them?"
"I prefer them over others, if that answers your question. Why are you making that face?"
Lowkey funny thing, when it finally hits him that he liked you he tries to figure out why he likes you.
At first he thinks maybe it's your looks so he stares at you a lot trying to pinpoint what part of you he likes, but he's got a rbf so it concerns you gravely
"Shadow are you angry at Y/n?"
"No, of course not. Why?"
"You're kinda... glaring... at them..."
"Oh."
Then he theorizes that it must be something from your personality. So he starts asking you a ton of questions randomly, but like, theoretical questions
'What would you do if two of your best friends were drowning and you only had enough strength to save one?' Type questions y'know
Then he tries to see if it's something you do, like if you're 'useful'. So he keeps a mental tally of how many times you do something for him or others. When you pay for yours and Amy's lunch, when you give Sonic the rest of your bag of chips, when you hold the door open for Rogue, etc.
Finally he realizes that it's not something in particular, he just likes you
He reveals this revelation to Rouge and she snorts lmao
She sets up a whole date-confession-thing without either of your knowledge to get Shadow to confess
REAL TIME HCS
He's very quiet with his affection
He'll pat you on the head or back, give you a small smile, make you lunch, help you with some work, small things y'know
If you're a human and a lot taller than him he uses this to his advantage and climbs you so he can see more
^Some of the few times he will allow you to carry him
He'll text you updates about what he's doing and when he'll be home and expects you do the same
If you forget he'll scold you like a toddler lmao
Don't forget the skin-care routine and ironing the sheets every night according to the Twitter takeover LMAO (it should have been me)
He's not one for going out on dates but he does enjoy going to the library or the park with you, somewhere quiet with not a lot of people
Shadow would enjoy theatre all the way (I don't say this cuz I'm a theatre kid nope def not)
Also not a fan of PDA but he'll hold your hand or have a hand on your shoulder
He gets jealous easily lol
Like if someone starts talking or, God forbid, flirting with you he'll be standing right behind you glaring at them
His pet names are demeaning LMAO
Like how he calls Sonic 'hedgehog' it's the same for you
He'll call you more typical terms of endearment if it's laced with sarcasm
"Well, dear, if you had done like I said earlier this wouldn't have happened."
"I'm sorry, I should've known making toast was too difficult for you, darling."
Shadow has a phone and social media and the only reason is so you can send him memes you find funny to him
I like to imagine showing him a funny video and he just sits there staring at it for a bit before turning to you and going "This is hilarious."
If you're in college or work from home he'll help you with some of your work
Okay but imagine he's standing behind you helping you with homework and he leans over to grab a pencil or something and then you're pressed between him and the desk JAGFHEBAUWVDHJ– ANYWAYS
He likes keeping his space clean so if you're mentally ill like me (LMAOOO) or just messy in general he's willing to help you clean up
Just enough to keep him satisfied :)
Okay but imagine stay-at-home dates with him like:
Cooking dinner together
Laying your head on his lap while you two watch a movie
Playing games or doing puzzles
Speaking of games, game nights are a regular thing with the group and Rogue drags Shadow along so in turn he drags you along
I ask you to imagine a huge game of Uno between Sonic, Knuckles, Tails, Amy, Cream, Big, Team Chaotix, Rogue, Shadow, and you.
Yeah, fucking insanity.
If there's any game where you have to pair up Shadow immediately grabs you
Absolutely NO chance he's pairing with Sonic lol
Moving on, he likes playing with your hair
If you need help doing a complex or a protective hairstyle he's got you fr
If you wear makeup, whether it's natural or more bold, he will compliment it
He'd probably help you with your makeup too if you asked lol
On a more sad note, he has times where he gets upset about his past so just give him space or comfort, whatever he needs at the time
If he gets upset about Maria ask him about her. It helps talking about her in a positive light when she was alive than replaying her death on repeat
So if you have your own bouts of depression (*cough cough* me *cough*) he'll understand and try to help in any way he can
On a more happier note, he likes getting you gifts
Homie is a very gift giving/ acts of service type of lover fr fr
Btw dating Shadow means being friends with Rogue and Omega, no exceptions
Ugh sorry this took forever to make I'm really lazy lmao
Did you guys notice that Jacksepticeye voices a character in one of the later Sonic Prime episodes cuz I did and I almost SCREAMED–
Anyways, send in requests if you want :)

This is my first time doing this 👉👈 but can I please request a Hobie x reader fluff where reader and him went to the beach (probably using his boat lmao) and reader comes back all sun burnt. Sunburn + how much hobie likes physical touch cannot go well together I imagine lmao
Hi hun! Thank you for requesting ❤️ I love your prompt sm, it's so adorable 🥰 hope you like it!
Pairing: Hobie Brown x gn! Reader/ Spider-Punk x gn! Reader
Tags: No use of Y/N, No specific physical description of the reader, FLUFF.
ʕ·ᴥ·ʔ
"Ow ow" you hiss out, waddling back inside Hobie's houseboat. He's been gone for a bit, answering a distress call from his two-way radio, taking a pause on your little beach vacation, you hope he's okay.
Taking Hobie's houseboat to the beach was a spontaneous decision. You briefly mentioned to him that you haven't been to the seaside in a while, missing the cool breeze and the salty water.
So here you are, burnt to an almost crisp, from your face to your legs. You fell asleep on a lawn chair, waiting for Hobie to come back from being Spider-Man. Oh man how you deeply regret shutting your eyes, you swear it was only for a few minutes. You lift your left arm checking the time, you wince when your watch grazes your tender skin, deciding to just take the watch off, you see that it left a mark on your wrist, a huge difference to the rest of your skin.
"Fucckk!! nooo!" You screech out, already dreading what your skin would feel like in a few days, especially when it sheds. You stop in front of Hobie's fridge, littered with various magnets, concert flyers and your little doodles. You open it, carefully avoiding the door from touching your skin, the cold air helps, you try not to grab an ice cube and place it on your warm skin, but you know it does more harm than good.
You wish you brought your trusty aloe vera cream with you, instead, you settle with hydrating from the inside, gulping down a bottle of water, little droplets falling on your chin down to your chest.
Hobie whistles out, he's as tall as the door, arms easily resting on the top, nonchalantly leaning on the doorway "should've came back earlier, if you told me you're gonna put on a little show" he hasn't noticed your inflamed skin with the lights shut off.
Hobie runs towards you, arms stretched In Front of him, eager to hug you. Your eyes widen, he bounds towards you, it's too late to stop him, his arms embrace around your tender form, leather vest scraping on your warm skin.
"Wait! Hobie! Ow!" You yell out, pushing him off with your palms. You instantly feel guilty from pushing him.
He immediately lets go, thinking he might've poked you with the spikes on his suit "shit, you alright?" No ounce of malice in his voice.
"I'm sorry" you say meekly, flailing your arms so that the slight breeze calms your angry skin.
He notices the pain in your voice and your weird flailing, "don't be, what's wrong?" Hobie asks, concerned.
You close your eyes briefly, the pain slowly subsiding, but a dull pain still throbs on your skin.
Hobie reaches out to you, but you quickly move away from his touch, he retracts his hand, sadness creeping in, is it him? What did he do now?
As if you can read his thoughts, you quickly put a stop to his thinking "I'm sunburnt, Hobie" you press the nearby light switch, showing your inflamed skin.
He sighs, relief flooding his senses "well shit, lovey, what happened?"
"I fell asleep while you were gone?" You say it like a kid waiting to be scolded, because you did exactly what he told you not to do while he was away.
Hobie puts his hands on his hip, oh you're definitely gonna get a talking to. "On the chair outside, I bet?"
"Mm-hmm" you nod, face apologetic.
"Even though I practically bathed you in sunscreen?"
"Yeah"
Hobie guffaws, he can't help it, with your face looking like you broke his precious guitar, and the fact that you still got sunburnt despite lathering you a few hours ago with a lot of sunscreen.
"It's not funny" you say dejected, wincing when your frown pulls at your skin.
Hobie breathes out, calming his laughter "Alright, I'm sorry, I'm sorry" he reaches out again for a comforting hug like he's used to, but he brings back his arms when he remembers your aching skin.
He misses your touch already.
"You laughed at my misfortune" you pout, winching again when it tugs at your warm skin.
"Love, you're the cause for your own misfortune" He teases, mimicking your voice at the last word.
"But Hobie, it hurts" you try to tug at his heart strings. You stomp your foot, huffing out.
Hobie thinks you're so adorable right now, despite your little tantrum.
He chuckles, closing his smiling mouth immediately when you scowl at him.
Hobie closes the small distance, his hands hovering over your face, careful not to graze your sensitive skin.
"I'll take care of you, yeah?"
You look at him through your lashes, "you'll get my aloe vera cream from my flat for me?" Batting your eyelashes for extra effect.
"That and more" he wishes he could kiss you right now.
You notice him staring at your lips "I'll give you a hundred kisses when I'm better"
"Just a hundred?"
"A thousand and one then" you smile despite the pain.
"I'll take it" He can't wait for you to heal.

morning news, pt. 2
summary: alex's reaction to the mc's reappearance.
word count: 781
based on the ask (and request of many): please write the drabbles with kennedy and alex’s reactions to the news of mc returning there is interest!!!!! i am so interested!!!!!!
**unedited//giving this a quick read over, it's kinda bad but we move forward lmao**
walking through the hospital, alex easily weaves their way through the myriad of people that have found themselves there for some reason or other. they exchange smiles with nurses and occasional greetings with familiar patients, friendly nods with their fellow doctors just getting started on the next twelve hour shift but there's no stopping them on their way to the locker room.
finally they push through the door, pulling out their earphones as they approach their locker. it's generally quick work stripping out of their clothes and pulling on their scrubs but they prefer to take their time.
"there you are," a voice comes from behind them and they look over their shoulder as dr jesse robinson approaches them. they fight the smile that threatens to break on their face as they return their focus to tying the strings on their pants. "you missed a good breakfast this morning."
"trust me, i know," they reply, now grinning freely as they reach for their top. "i dream about your pancakes almost every night."
jesse bites his lip, leaning against the next locker with his hands in the pockets of his lab coat. "should've stayed then," he chuckles. "i could've driven you here too."
alex rolls their eyes playfully. "with the way you drive, jes? i don't think so." they're just about to pull on their coat when the other doctor suddenly straightens up, an unnaturally serious look on his face. "c'mon, i was just kidding; you're a great driver."
"it's not that," he says, waving their concerns off. "have you see the news today?"
"did you finally the lottery?" they joke, fixing their badge before glancing at the man. "because if you did, i feel the need to remind you that i chose three of those numbers for you."
"lex, i..." his head drops slightly, green eyes focused on a spot somewhere on their neck, before clearing his throat. "it's about mc."
at that, alex stops. moving, blinking, breathing. they're pretty sure their heart stops for a moment too before going into overdrive, slamming against their ribcage as if it plans to break free. they assume the worst immediately; that the mc is only in the news again because they're officially dead. gone, once again torn from their life with a new finality that leaves a bitter taste on their on tongue.
seeing their reaction, jesse is quick to reassure them. "they're alive, lex," he says, squeezing their shoulder affectionately. "from the sounds of it, in perfect health too. i just wanted to make sure that you knew and that you were okay."
on any other day, alex would've fallen into jesse's welcoming arms, letting themself be open to all the comfort he could provide. but today, with his touch lighting a fire in them that they're not sure they like the burn of, they turn away from him and let his hand fall when they move.
"why wouldn't i be?" they ask, needlessly rearranging the contents of their locker as they avoid his eyes.
jesse sighs, not quite understanding the turn their conversation has taken despite having brought it up himself. "i know how much you loved them... im sure no one would mind if you took the day off to go see them."
they're quick to shake their head despite the longing squeeze their heart gives. they want more than anything in this world to see them; they spent many nights dreaming of the exact moment. but they can't bring themself to actually do it. call them scared, call them a coward; they wouldn't deny it. not even if they wanted to.
"they wouldn't want to see me," they tell him, sending off a silent prayer that each word is a lie in itself. "i was so far removed from everything in their life already; they don't need the added stress."
out the corner of their eye, they see jesse's eyebrows shoot upward, aghast at the notion that they're in any way a problem. "you don't know that," he insists. "i think it'll be good for you, for them."
"i'll be fine," they say, cutting him off as they shut their locker. they turn to face him with a somewhat forced smile and sling their stethoscope around their neck. "we should get to work. those lives won't save themselves!"
without waiting for a response, alex steps around jesse and walks out of the room, stretching their smile to its limits as they get a start on rounds. their mind however goes back to mc, as it usually does on the slower days, no matter how hard they try to focus.
and in a weird, twisted way; they're more than okay with it.

Mind reader yan x maladaptive day dreamer darling [with a twist:3]
[mdni, or do, i don't care enough to block y'all tbh. tw/cw: thoughts/ideas/daydreams of violence, manipulation, etc. lmk if i have to add smth else too! and uhh, sometimes text with go small to big, it's on purpose!! a bit shorter mainly cause I got tired lmao]
Tumblr media
Ezra Martinez. He was a student council member, and a smart one at that. He never abused his abilities, nor was he cocky.
He was actually pretty, humble, quiet, and only used his abilities when absolutely needed. Ezra didn't speak unless he wanted to or needed to.
Little did anyone know, he had a secret. He could read people's minds. It wasn't 24/7 or he's sure he would've gone insane by now, but he has to be concentrated for it to work.
The first time you and Ezra met, it was due to a group project. You had lower grades while he had perfect grades, so the teacher paired you up.
You seemed distracted from the moment you two met. Or, more like the moment your eyes landed on him.
He was confused, but didn't question it.
“Hey—Hey! Are you even listening to me?” Ezra frowned at you, realizing that, no, you obviously weren't when you tilted your head in confusion.
Ezra sighs, and asks the question once again. “Can I come over to your house for the project? I'd prefer it to my house.”
You seemed to talk even less then Ezra, only responding with a nod, grabbing your backpack and walking off with the council member following you.
He didn't really use his secret ability for no reason, but he really wanted to understand and know what was going on in that pretty head of yours.
The entire way to your house, you had your headphones on and were ignoring him, although he doesn't think it was on purpose.
You even almost got ran over, had he not yanked you back as the car sped past the two of you.
“What are you thinking?! You almost just got yourself killed!” And...there you go again, nodding, before glancing up and walking across the street with that dazed look.
Once at your house, you fiddled with your keys and opened it. Ezra glanced at the driveway, noticing no cars.
Did you live with your parents? Did you live alone? If so, then why? Many questions filled his head, and he decided on one.
“Are your parents home?” Ezra questions with a tilt of his head, you actually glance over at him. You shake your head once again, before pausing, and opening your mouth.
“No. Live alone.” You don't offer any more information up, but you don't need to. Your voice alone sends pleasured chills down his spine, and he nods, glancing away with flushed cheeks.
You seem to watch him as the two of you walk inside, as if observing him closely like he's a newly found animal and your the scientist.
The two set their bags and such down in your room, and pull out what they'll need.
An hour passes, and the entire time, you're either in a daze or observing Ezra. It's slightly unsettling when he glances up and sees you staring at him, but he...doesn't mind. Not if it's you.
Another hour passes. You've written about four words, while Ezra's already finished most of the assignment. He frowns, glancing at the words you had wrote absentmindedly.
“he looks so pretty.”
His eyebrows furrow, and he sucks in a breath, shaking his head as he glances up at you.
Eventually, Ezra stands up, stating that he'll be going home and he'll be back tomorrow. You don't even so much as acknowledge him as he leaves.
The next day at school is like every other day, you're not paying attention, instead glancing outside the window in that hazy state of yours.
Ezra’s nails scratch against his table, and he concentrates on using his ability. The first things he hears makes his blood churn.
“god, I should've killed that blonde bitch who hangs around Ezra all the time. I should've stabbed my pencil into that pretty little throat of hers, forcing her to choke on her own blood. Red is her favorite color, after all.”
Despite the gruesome words, and despite his best efforts, Ezra feels himself flush at your thoughts, his breath getting heavier.
You avert your gaze from the window, eyes tracing the class, your mind muttering things like “bastard” “liar” “bully” “slut” the entire time, til your eyes land on him.
The first thing that comes to your mind is unnerving, and slightly terrifying.
“I wonder how Ezra’d react if I slammed his pretty little head into his desk. Ezra would look so pretty with blood pouring from his head. Blood is definitely something I want to see on him...”
There's a certain emotion in your eyes that Ezra can't quite place. But he thinks he understands when he hears your next thoughts.
He understands far better then any therapist ever would, he understands the word far better then any assignment. Because he feels the same way.
“Mine.”

Witch's Intuition
Mason Lockwood x Reader
Tumblr media
Masterlist - Join My Taglist!
Written for Fictober 2023!
Fandom: The Vampire Diaries
Day 2 Prompt: "Don't worry, I got you."
Summary: What if Mason Lockwood had somebody who cared about him when he came to town, somebody who could keep him from his canon fate? Alternatively, I really love Mason Lockwood and the show didn't do him justice, so I wanted to. Reader is described as a girl.
Word Count: 10,445 lmao
Category: Angst, fluff, humor
Putting work into an AI program without permission is illegal. You do not have my permission. Do not do it.
I sighed and stared straight ahead, hands still gripped tight on the steering wheel as I tried to psych myself up to get out of the car and go inside.
Damon Salvatore, my best friend in the entire world despite my better judgement, had asked me to come to a barbecue that Jenna Sommers was hosting. Her connection to Damon was ridiculous and confusing, and the entire barbecue was just a front for Damon and our mutual friend Ric to try to get a feel for the newest supernatural creature in town. And he wanted me here to help.
Mason Lockwood, the newest supernatural in question, had apparently gone to high school with Jenna and had recently returned to Mystic Falls. Damon felt confident he was a werewolf. As a witch, I knew for sure he was a werewolf, but absolutely no part of me wanted to get involved in the supernatural drama by telling him.
I should've known staying out of it would be impossible as long as Damon Salvatore remained my best friend.
At the sound of a knock on my window, I jumped so hard my head hit the roof of my car. I whipped around to find the werewolf I'd been thinking about standing outside my door, looking at me with a grin as he gave a little wave. I mentally cursed myself, then shoved open my door and climbed out.
"Hey," he said, giving me a bright smile that made butterflies explode in my chest. "I didn't realize you were coming to this, too."
Mason and I had met about a week ago at the grill, when he'd come over to the pool table and called winner on my game. I won, and we quickly hit it off the bat over the course of our first game, enough so that we ended up playing two more. He still didn't know I was a witch, and we'd only hung out a handful of times so far, but I still found my heart racing when he looked at me like he was looking at me now.
"Damon dragged me," I replied. "Although, I actually am excited to get to know Jenna a little better. And... others, at this party."
"Others?" he asked, raising his eyebrows. The grin took on a more flirty edge, and I couldn't help my heart speeding up a bit.
"Yeah, others. Other than Ric. I already know him."
"Okay," laughed Mason, fully throwing his head back as we started heading for the house together. "And I guess 'others' doesn't apply to Elena or Caroline either?"
"No, I know them too. I've heard all about the high school angst and then some."
"Did you tell them how much better it gets after graduation?"
"Oh yeah, I covered all the existential dread and challenge of trying to figure out what the hell to do with the rest of our lives."
"Okay good. As long as they know."
Mason and I shared a smile as we reached the door and he opened it for me, motioning for me to go ahead. I smiled, and we held our eye contact a few beats too long to be casual. Damon was going to kill me when he got here.
We quickly found Jenna and Elena in the kitchen, and I chatted with Elena a bit while Mason and Jenna caught up. I'd only gotten to Mystic Falls a little after the Salvatores, having graduated from college three years ago. At first, I'd come back to try to track down and record witch history, since so much of it was based here. But it didn't take me long to get sucked into the bullshit Damon and Stefan had found themselves neck-deep in as soon as I arrived.
For the first time, with Mason, I didn't totally mind it.
Within a few minutes of arrival, Mason decided it was time to go hunting for shot glasses and alcohol. Jenna pointed him in the right direction, and then he turned to me with a lopsided smile that made my heart stop in my chest.
"Come help me?"
"Sure thing."
I followed Mason through the house, leaving Jenna and Elena in the kitchen while we waited for everybody else to show up. He ducked into a closet, and I hovered just outside.
"Let's see here... Jenna's trying to be a responsible adult nowadays, but I bet I can still find where she stashed her old shot glasses..."
"I've spent too long finding cool shot glasses that I like to ever shove them all away in a closet forever," I mused, leaning against the door frame. Mason chuckled.
"I know what you mean. I've got different ones with the patterns of every surfboard I've ever owned."
I nodded. "That's nice, but I've got you beat. I've got supernatural-themed ones. For witches and vampires and werewolves."
Mason paused his searching to turn around and give me an appraising look. I shrugged, giving him a sheepish smile. He shook his head, but to my relief, he was smiling too.
"I should've realized you knew, with you being Damon's friend," he said, turning around to continue searching.
"Hey, I'm a born and raised witch. I knew about the supernatural long before Damon Salvatore ever came into my life, and I recognized what you were before he did too. Vampires have shittier senses than witches."
Mason snorted a laugh, then, pausing his search and half glancing back at me again, asked, "Did you tell him about me?"
"No. Damon can be a little... dramatic. I had no interest in him starting up a fight with my new favorite pool opponent."
Mason nodded, and thankfully, I caught a small smile on his face again.
"...You use some of that magic to cheat at pool?"
"Ha! That's also a no. I'm just a better player than you."
"Or maybe I just let you win," he said, turning to hand me a nice bottle of vodka that he'd dug out of the closet, a grin on his face.
"We can pretend that's what happened if you really want. But we both know the truth."
He sighed, then turned back around to grab the shot glasses he'd finally managed to find, shaking them to show me triumphantly.
"I guess we're just gonna have to go back to the Grill soon so you can teach me your ways."
"...It's a date."
Mason grinned and shot me a wink, then led me back through the house to the kitchen to rejoin Jenna and Elena. Elena, understandably, left when we started doing shots, and it wasn't much longer before Ric and Damon showed up. Jenna hated Damon, and after a few moments, Damon made it clear he wasn't going to be particularly friendly to Mason. I tried to ease the tension, but clearly, this barbecue wasn't going to be as fun and relaxing as the first ten minutes had been.
It didn't help that, every time I shared a moment with Mason, judgement absolutely radiated off of Damon. Lucky for me, I'd had a few years of practice ignoring those looks from him.
He'd told me today was a fact-finding mission, after all. And I was finding facts that pointed me towards liking Mason.
"I'm just saying, it doesn't take that long to set up Guitar Hero-"
"I will leave the party, Jenna," teased Mason, shooting her a smile as he plopped down on a loveseat in the living room next to me. "What else do we have? And by that, I mean literally anything else."
Jenna chucked a pillow at him, which Mason leaned into me to duck. I cackled, continuing to ignore the hell out of Damon staring at me from across the room.
"How about charades?" asked Alaric, bravely standing between Jenna and Mason even as Mason grabbed another pillow and cocked his arm back to throw it. "Or pictionary?"
"Pictionary sounds good to me!" Damon chimed in with an eagerness that made me incredibly suspicious. "I'll go get the board."
Low and behold, a few rounds later, Damon was using it to make ridiculously obvious werewolf references at Mason. The one silver lining was that Mason was as irritated with him as me, so we bonded a little as we gave him deadpan answers for things like Dances With Wolves as a pictionary clue. Jenna, the only one in the room completely out of the loop, also helped immensely by criticizing Damon's art every chance she got. I loved him, but he absolutely deserved every dig. Besides, his ego could take it.
After many rounds of various party games (although not Guitar Hero, at least not yet), we made our way to the table in the kitchen for some dessert. Elena and Caroline had left, which just left the adults. If Damon hadn't been dragging Mason into a pissing contest, it would've been the perfect party.
Alas, instead, Damon decided to continue to poke the bear, so to speak.
"Mason! Why don't you start us off," Damon said, bringing the pie to the table with a silver serving knife and setting it down directly in front of Mason. I sighed and rolled my eyes.
Mason looked at Damon, then turned the pie until the knife faced away from him before grabbing a slice with his bare hands. Damon and Ric shared a triumphant look.
"What?" said Mason, a slight edge to his tone as he stared right back at Damon. "I apologize. I'm an animal."
I shook my head, turning my attention to Jenna instead of the two of them staring each other down as she joined us at the table.
"So Mason, you and Jenna never dated?" asked Ric, apparently trying to break the tension between Mason and Damon. A valiant effort, but knowing Damon, I doubted he'd succeed.
"She was always lost in Logan Fell-land," Mason replied. Jenna huffed a laugh.
"Oh, my first mistake. Mason was a catch. He had girls lining up."
"Really?" said Damon, that fake-friendly tone in his voice that I knew meant trouble. "Huh. I always pegged you for a lone wolf."
"I'm sure I wasn't half the lady killer you were," Mason shot back without missing a beat. I snorted into my drink, completely failing to keep a smile off my face. Mason cut his eyes to me, the edge in his own smile fading for the briefest of seconds, before he looked back at Damon and raised his glass in toast. "To new friends."
He and Damon didn't take their eyes off each other once as we all clinked glasses and cheersed. When Damon kept doing his stare-down and looked ready to keep it up for the duration of pie, I kicked him under the table as hard as I could. He turned to glare at me, but their stare down was broken, and with Jenna's increasingly tipsy help we managed to turn things back into a mostly-friendly barbecue.
As the night went on, I found myself getting a new best friend in Jenna, with each joke she made and wink she shot in my direction when I sat particularly close to Mason. We moved back into the living room, sprawling on the couches with another round of beers. Jenna was much, much tipsier than I was, but I was having enough fun that I decided to lean into it more than I actually felt it. We cackled together as she told high school stories about Mason, then cheered like maniacs together when she finally pulled out Guitar Hero, against the protests of Mason and Ric.
"Alright, I'm gonna need another drink if we're really doing that," Mason sighed, a smile on his face all the same. He stood and headed into the kitchen, where I knew Damon was. I wanted to ignore it and get my literal groove on with Jenna, but I couldn't. I stood with a sigh and moved to follow him.
"Go get him girl!" Jenna called after me with a little 'whoop'! I whipped around, face burning, but she just grinned at me and winked. I shook my head, but found myself grinning back as I turned and left the room.
By the time I got to the kitchen, I could already hear Damon and Mason talking. Rather than interrupting to immediately change the topic or insert myself into the conversation, however, I decided to listen in. That way I could gauge just how hostile Damon and Mason were being to each other, and react accordingly.
"Come on, man, you don't think I know what this barbecue is about?" came Mason's voice.
"How do you know about me?" Damon, demanding, any of the fake-friendliness gone. "Your brother was completely clueless."
"It doesn't matter. I'm not your enemy, Damon."
"You tried to kill my brother." I fought back a scoff. That was a stretch, and we both knew it.
"That was a mistake."
"Really?"
"There was confusion. I couldn't chain myself up in time." Their voices had started coming closer, but I stayed put. "I have no control once I shift."
"What, no obedience school?"
"I'm serious. Let's not spark some age-old feud that doesn't apply to us."
"You expect me to believe that you're in Mystic Falls planting peace trees?"
"I lost my brother. My nephew lost his father. I'm here for my family."
And with that, I'd heard all I needed to hear. Damon, my best friend, as usual, was the aggressor. Thankfully, this time, it sounded like Mason might've made an argument that convinced him. We had bigger problems than one generally chill werewolf, after all.
I left, returning to Jenna and Ric and Guitar Hero. She smiled at me, clearly thinking I'd had a conversation with Mason I hadn't really had, and I leaned into it as she passed me a plastic guitar. Mason returned to the room a few moments later, followed by Damon. I ignored them both as I pretended to shred, and to both their credit, they cheered me on.
The rest of the party was a blast, with Mason much more relaxed after his conversation with Damon and Damon finally dropping all the stupid wolf jokes. Jenna and I acted ridiculous and had the time of our lives doing it, and whenever I wasn't shredding the imaginary guitar, Mason and I leaned against each other, laughing and talking the night away.
Finally, once I'd sobered up more and the sun had long-since gone down, and Jenna and I had finished half the songs on Guitar Hero, we wound up the party and all headed home. Damon stayed a moment longer to talk with Ric, so after giving Jenna a goodbye hug, I headed for my car without him. To my delight, Mason came with me, walking me to my car.
"You know, you're a little too good at Guitar Hero, I think," he said, bumping his shoulder into mine as we walked. I chuckled.
"And you're a little too ridiculously set against that game," I teased back. "What's the matter, you don't like fun?"
"I don't like watching Jenna butchering Black Sabbath. Watching you was... a little more fun."
I paused as we reached my car, smiling up at Mason with a glowing feeling in my chest. He smiled back at me, leaning against the front panel of my car.
"It was great getting to know you better tonight," I said, smiling at him and stalling the moment I'd actually have to leave. He grinned at me.
"You too. And I'd love to keep getting to know you better. Maybe at Volunteer Day tomorrow?"
"I was already planning on going, but it'll be much more fun with you there."
"Great." He flashed me a heart-stopping smile. "It's a date."
I was practically floating as I drove away, replaying the end of the night with Mason in my mind over and over again. The last time I'd felt anything like what I was starting to feel now... well, it hadn't ended well. I'd gotten Damon as a best friend out of it, which was a net positive no matter how much he annoyed me sometimes, but everything else had been an absolute nightmare. For the first time in three years, I found myself wanting to risk the heartache and get close to somebody in a non-friendship way again.
I'd been staying with Stefan and Damon since I got to town, and I expected a long lecture about 'flirting with the enemy' from Damon when I got home. But, blissfully, the house was empty. I wandered upstairs and fell into bed, thoughts of seeing Mason tomorrow letting me drift off with a smile on my face.
I should've known nothing in this town, in this world of supernaturals, could ever go that smoothly.
****************
The next morning, I woke up bright and early, unusually excited about Volunteer Day. A certain werewolf definitely had something to do with that, but thankfully, neither of the Salvatores was around on my way out to grill me about the grin on my face.
I'd gotten Mason's number last night, so I quickly shot off a text saying I was making a pre-volunteering coffee run and asking if he wanted anything. I took my time heading to my favorite coffee place, and the line was long enough that I waited at least ten minutes, but I didn't hear anything back from Mason.
I tried not to let it get to me as I ordered my usual, then an iced latte for Mason. Hopefully he would like it, and if he didn't, then at least it wouldn't go to waste, since I was always down for an iced latte.
I ended up arriving a little late to the event, but I wasn't complaining too much, since it meant I missed Carol Lockwood's speech. I scanned the crowd for Mason, then smiled when I noticed him under a newly-built picnic awning. Instead of smiling back, he looked away like he'd barely noticed me, continuing his conversation with Sheriff Forbes. I frowned.
I caught up to him walking away from the picnic awning, not too far into the newer part of the park that we were supposed to be fixing up today before its official opening. He walked quickly, and was apparently pretending not to notice me.
"Hey. Hey, Mason!"
He stopped and turned around with a frustrated sigh, his hands on his hips. The coffees lowered in my hands a little, and part of me suddenly wanted to run back the way I'd come from.
"What do you want?" he asked, none of the warmth or flirtiness from yesterday in his voice.
"I... brought you a coffee..." I said, holding it out to him slowly. He just stared at it. "Is something wrong?"
He huffed a humorless laugh. "That has to be a joke, right?"
"No, actually, it's not," I said, my temper flaring. "You're acting like a dick and I have no idea why, so-"
"You have no idea why?" He looked at me like he absolutely didn't believe me, and I just stared right back as I shook my head. Slowly, the anger fell from his face, to a more cautious confusion. "You don't know where your best friend, who you live with, went last night? Or what he did?"
"Oh God," I shook my head and dropped Mason's gaze, muttering to the leaves more than to him. "I knew I should've been worried when he didn't come home last night. Why can't he ever be out late for normal reasons?"
I sighed, shaking myself out of my thoughts and steeling my resolve as I looked at Mason again. The anger, at least, had gone from his face.
"I have no idea where Damon went or what he did last night," I said. "But... I feel like I should start by offering an apology on his behalf anyway? Maybe in the form of this iced latte I brought?"
Mason huffed a laugh and looked into the tree line, but I caught a small smile tugging at the corner of his mouth. The relief washing through my body almost took me to my knees.
"Yeah, alright," he finally said, taking a few steps closer and taking the latte from me. He looked me up and down as he sipped it, holding my gaze for a few long moments afterwards. I didn't look away once. "Damon stabbed me with a silver knife last night."
My eyes went wide, and a second later, dropped to Mason's chest to scan for any lingering sign of injury. Thankfully, he seemed to be fine.
"I thought... I thought you guys made peace last night?" I finally asked, meeting Mason's eyes again once I was satisfied he was healthy.
"I thought so too. But apparently Damon doesn't want peace. Stefan started the morning out with a little extra threat today, too, to try to keep me from getting revenge."
I sighed heavily, closing my eyes and shaking my head. I could feel a headache coming on.
"I'm so sorry, Mason," I said. "Ugh, I wish you would've told me when it happened. Or that Damon would've mentioned his stupid little plan, or Ric-"
"Why? You think the Salvatores would listen to you telling them not to come after me? You think Damon would listen to that?"
"Damon is... well, he's a lot of things. But if I talk to him, he'll back off."
Mason raised a skeptical eyebrow. "I don't understand how you're friends with him. Except maybe a dangerous level of delusion. He doesn't care about anybody but his own agenda. I've barely known him a day and I can already see that."
I pinched the bridge of my nose, debating my options. I had some very good reasons for trusting Damon as much as I did, but I wasn't totally sure I wanted to get into them, especially not with someone I'd only recently met. But that someone was starting to become important to me. I sighed, then knocked back the rest of my iced coffee. Decision made.
"Alright, listen. I don't owe you an explanation or a justification of my relationship with Damon. But... I like you. A lot. So I want you to know, so you can maybe understand."
Mason nodded, his expression thankfully more curious and open than anything else. We moved a few more feet away from the rest of the volunteer activities happening behind us to sit on a bench together, and I tried not to let our proximity and touching knees distract me.
"Okay, so, in college... I dated this guy."
"Don't tell me it was Damon."
I made a face. "Uck! Never."
"Okay, good," Mason laughed. "Sorry, I promise that'll be my one and only interruption.
"Honestly, it's probably better that we got that cleared up right away. I love him very much, but I would absolutely never date him."
"Good."
Mason held my eyes for an extra second, a little bit of that flirty behavior returning, and I felt heat rising to my cheeks. I cleared my throat and tried to refocus.
"Anyway, I dated this guy for a while. He wasn't Damon, but he was a vampire. I'm a witch, as you know, and I was raised knowing about my powers and everything else, so I knew a good amount about the supernatural world. I actually had class with him—his name was Andy—my freshman year, and we sat next to each other. I clocked him as a vampire immediately, and I don't think he was used to that.
"I wasn't sure about him at first, what with the whole vampire thing, but... we saw each other a lot. Same classes, all that. He was always nice, and funny, and when he eventually asked me out, I said yes.
"I'll skip to the important part, but basically, we dated for three years. By the time we were graduating, I'd fallen head over heels in love. I knew what he was, I knew the thought of 'together forever' brought a lot of problems we'd have to work through, including whether I could stand to stop being a witch and whether I could live with the curse of immortality. But... I knew we'd figure it out, together. I was convinced he was the love of my life."
I took a deep, shaky breath, trying to brace myself for what came next. This was only the second or third time I'd gone through it in the few years since it'd happened. Mason, to his credit, stayed quiet, letting me take my time.
"Right around graduation, when we were supposed to be doing ridiculous Senior Week activities and getting rid of the last of our assignments, taking pictures and getting ready to walk... all the supernatural drama and danger you can imagine came crashing down on our heads. Brought to our doorstep by Andy."
I shook my head, angry at myself as much as at Andy as the memories replayed, as vivid as the day they'd happened.
"He'd gotten involved in some ridiculous scheme with some other vampires, trying to prove some lore was real or something, and they needed a powerful witch. Without asking, Andy had volunteered me. When I didn't want to help, he threatened me, and left me to the wolves—no pun intended, sorry—left me to the vampires when they tried to force me to help. Damon stepped in and stopped them.
"Don't get me wrong, I know it was a completely selfish move," I said, finally looking at Mason again. His eyebrows were furrowed, and he moved a little closer, stopping just short of putting us shoulder to shoulder. "He wanted to stop the plan and the ritual and the spell, it had nothing to do with helping me. But once Andy and everyone around us was dead... I just fell apart. Damon, for all he acts the bad guy, didn't ditch me. I've asked him a couple times and he always brushes it off like it was nothing, but... he saved me in more ways than one that night. Since then, we've had each others' backs. It's kind of a weird friendship, but he's put his own life on the line to protect me more than once since then. I've done the same. I trust him completely, for the things where it really counts."
Mason sighed through his nose, looking away from me finally to stare at the ground. I watched him, watched his eyes dart around as he thought, until he met my eyes again.
"I get it. The people that pick you up and carry you through stuff like that... it's a special kind of bond. If you have that with Damon... I get it." We held eye contact for a few more moments, a wordless heaviness passing between us, and then Mason grinned. "So, what you're saying is I count as the important stuff for you?"
I bit my lip and looked away, fighting a smile and quickly losing to it.
"I... yeah, I guess I am saying that."
Mason and I laughed and worked together for a while longer on our various cleanup duties, until he told me he needed to go do trash duty in the woods, since the Sheriff had asked him to. I gave him my empty latte cup as a start, watching him with a smile as he walked away.
I tried to busy myself with volunteer work, the thing I'd actually come here for today, to keep my mind from running wild about Mason. I only half-succeeded. I hadn't felt anything close to this for somebody since Andy, and it scared me and thrilled me at the same time. The needle pinged back and forth between the two, but when Mason came back out of the woods looking rumpled, guilty, and glancing over his shoulder, it jumped all the way to scared.
"Mason?" I called, hurrying over to him. He shook his head, trying to duck past me again, but when I put a hand on his arm he stopped. "What happened?"
"Y/N..."
"Mason, what happened?" I pulled my attention from him, quickly scanning the gathered volunteers and then doing it again. Damon and Stefan were nowhere to be found. "What happened?"
Mason met my eyes and hesitated. Then, finally, "They tried to kill me. In the woods. They surrounded me, and Damon told me he'd give me a running head start before they ripped my heart out of my chest."
Immediately, my eyes darted to the woods behind Mason, scanning for my best friend. Ready to stop him. Until Mason continued.
"They're not coming back."
My eyes snapped to his again. "Explain."
"I told the Sheriff what they were. She's taking care of it."
I sprang back from Mason like touching him had burned me. He winced, but didn't do anything else.
"Are you kidding me? After everything I told you, everything we talked about?"
"I didn't have a whole lot of choice, between them and death. Besides, I told the Sheriff before I talked to you."
"Mason, you should have told to me! I would've talked to them, I would've made sure they didn't go after you if I knew it was such a pressing thing! We could've figured out the issue with the Sheriff together! What were you thinking?"
"I'm sorry. But it was kill or be killed-"
"This! This is why I hate this supernatural shit!" My voice had risen to a yell, but I didn't care. We were far enough away from everyone that they probably still couldn't hear me. And what did it matter, anyway? The Council already knew. "This is why nobody ever finds any lasting peace or happiness in this stupid, ridiculous world. Everyone is so fixated on revenge and killing anyone they feel even remotely threatened by. If you'd come to me, I could've kept you safe. Instead, you might've just gotten my best friend killed."
My voice broke on the last word, and I pushed past Mason and started for the woods before he could catch me crying. Unfortunately, he caught my arm before I could get away and turned me to face him, immediately dropping his grip when I tried to pull away.
"I am sorry. I really am. But I didn't know they would follow me into the woods. And they were ready to kill me. When I saw the Sheriff's people over Stefan's shoulder, it seemed like my only way out. I'm sorry."
I took a deep breath, giving him a curt nod before turning again and taking off into the woods, hoping against hope I could get to Damon and Stefan before it was too late. Things had gotten so out of hand, so fast. All I could do was focus on putting out one fire at a time, and hope we all came out of this alive.
I started at the Lockwood cellar, but found it empty. The floor had fresh blood on it, though, and with a little magic I traced Damon and Stefan back to the Salvatore Boarding House. That felt like a good sign.
I pulled into the driveway and sprang out of my car, slamming the door to the house open. I could see Caroline passed out on the couch, which didn't entirely make me feel better as I sprinted up to Damon's room.
I slammed the door open without bothering to knock, only to come face to face with my best friend, unharmed, shirtless, and staring at me like I was insane.
"Don't you ever knock?" he demanded, sounding exasperated as he pulled his shirt over his head. A hysterical laugh bubbled out of me, and I rushed over to hug him.
"You're one to talk," I shot back, wrapping him tighter in my embrace as I did. After a second, his arms came around me too and squeezed back.
"What's wrong?" he asked. I shook my head.
"I thought... I thought you might be dead."
"Well, I'm not." Slowly, gently, he pulled away. He grabbed my arms, looking intently into my eyes for a few long moments. "I'm not. Alright?"
I nodded, the adrenaline fading and leaving exhaustion in its place. I plopped down on his bed as he moved to shut the door.
"Can't have you getting me all sappy in public and ruining my reputation," he explained. I huffed a laugh, but quickly sobered as he sat next to me. I watched him, neither of us speaking for a minute, until he raised an eyebrow. "So... was that it, or...?"
"You can't go after Mason anymore."
"What?" he cried, shooting up and glaring at me. "What the hell are you talking about? He tried to kill me today. The Sheriff is in our basement right now while we wait for the vervain to work through her system because he exposed us. That mutt is dead."
"No. Damon, no," I said, standing too as I spoke. A strange calm had washed over me, and I met Damon's wild eyes with it. "Not Mason."
"Oh, gross. Really? Him?" He raised his eyebrows and narrowed his eyes at me. "Besides being a werewolf, he's a surfer. Are you serious?"
"Damon, come on. Just let it go. Just this once, end the cycle of revenge. You stabbed him, Stefan threatened him, he exposed you to the Sheriff, you tried to kill him, he tried to kill you. You're even, sort of. Just let this one go."
"How about, instead... I kill him?" The inappropriate brightness in his tone usually just made me roll my eyes or sigh while still sort of endearing him to me, but not this time.
"No! Damon, I'm not joking! This isn't some stupid thing where you can just turn around and break promises and it's fine! I never draw a line in the sand, but I am this time! I haven't felt anything close to this, not once, since Andy. And I am not going through anything like that again! You were right the first time. I'm glad you killed Andy, you saved me doing it. But I don't ever want to live through that again. This time is different, he's different. And I know I haven't technically known him very long, but just... please. Not Mason."
Damon held my stare for a few long, long moments, assessing. I stared right back, leaving every single thing I felt clear as day on my face, an open book for him to read. Finally, he sighed and rolled his eyes, in that exaggerated way he did whenever he gave in.
"Fine. I promise I won't kill Mason."
"Or try to kill Mason?"
"Yes, alright? If you're that convinced he's different... then fine. This one's different."
I flung myself forward and wrapped my arms tight around his middle before he could stop me. He grunted and grumbled, but hugged me back after a second anyway.
"Thanks, Day."
"Yeah, yeah, whatever. Just get out of here and get some sleep before someone catches me hugging you, alright?"
I pulled back with a grin. "Deal. Softie."
Damon narrowed his eyes at me, but I just cackled and bounced out of the room. It had been a long, stressful day, but things were looking up. Tomorrow, I'd talk to Mason. And this time would be different.
I passed out in bed as soon as my head hit the pillow. Today had been a long, emotional day, and I still had a few supernaturals to talk to tomorrow, since Stefan needed to be looped in too. I'd need all the rest I could get.
I got up the next morning a little later than I'd planned to, then dressed quickly to head over to the Lockwood's. I was helping set up for the upcoming masquerade ball, and I needed to talk to Mason. After getting coffee, of course.
As I headed down the stairs, I heard voices from the living room. I listened more closely as I approached, and I heard Damon say something like "this changes things" before they stopped at my arrival. I found Damon and Jeremy both looking at me like I'd interrupted something.
"Good morning..." I said, slowly reaching to retrieve my keys as I stared at them both suspiciously.
"Good morning," said Damon, flashing me a smile that didn't reach his eyes as Jeremy gave me a little nod.
"Everything okay in here...?"
"Completely."
I narrowed my eyes, glancing from Damon to Jeremy, then finally sighed.
"Alright, I have places to be and not enough willpower to involve myself in whatever this is. Just... don't do anything over the top stupid, alright?"
Both boys just gave little signs of acknowledgement as I slowly backed towards the door. I kept waiting for one of them to break, or for some obvious thing to jump out and catch my attention, but nothing came. I reached the door and finally turned my back on both of them, just hoping I wouldn't regret it.
I never got a moment of peace in Mystic Falls. Witch history and best friend or not, I might need to ditch this place sooner rather than later. Damon could come visit me somewhere with less supernatural drama.
This time, I only got one iced latte at the coffee shop before heading to the Lockwood's. As soon as I parked my car, I started scanning for Stefan, so I could talk to him and get him on the same page as Damon. The last thing I needed was the calmer Salvatore brother ruining the progress I'd made.
Thankfully, it didn't take me long to find him, or to convince him to leave Mason alone. He'd apparently only gotten on the same page as Damon about killing Mason after Mason had made a few threats of his own, and he said if I believed peace was still an option (especially one that I could sell Damon on), then he'd be happy to support me.
That left me with one last supernatural to work things out with. I had to do a few laps of the venue to find Mason, even though it was sort of his house. I finally managed to track him down outside, by a big pond a little distance away from the rest of everyone. He gave me a small smile when he saw me coming.
"What? No coffee for me today?"
"Coffee is only for people who haven't tried to kill my friends in the last twenty-four hours." The smile immediately dropped off Mason's face, his whole demeanor sobering.
"Look, Y/N-"
"Lucky for you, that timer expires tomorrow," I continued. "So... if we get roped into a third volunteer thing in three days, you can count on coffee for that."
A smile tugged at the corner of his mouth again, this time a little more cautious.
"Does that mean we're okay?"
I took a deep breath, then nodded.
"As I'm sure you've noticed, Damon and Stefan are alive. I've talked to both of them. They both agreed to drop it. The three of you have done a bunch of mutual threatening and murder-attempting in the past forty-eight hours, and Damon understands that this is one of those important things he can't just brush off. They're willing to make peace, and actually mean it, from now on. For me. Can you do the same?"
Mason frowned and looked away, his eyes scanning the grass, pond, trees, and everything else while he thought. He shook his head, presumably to himself, then finally met my eyes again. He squared his shoulders, and through all of the emotions I'd experienced from him since I'd met him, he'd never been this serious.
"Yeah. Yeah, I can do the same. I don't want to get killed by a vampire, or get mixed up in trying so hard to kill one, let alone two. If they back off, for real... I'm happy to do the same."
I smiled, not as bright and full of joy as the first few times Mason and I had spent time together, but just a little ray of hope shining through after the storm I'd just weathered.
"Thank you."
He nodded, then that easy smile that had gotten a special place in my heart so quickly returned.
"So... this masquerade stuff, there's a ton of people here to help with it. Do you want to go for a walk instead?"
"I'd love that."
We took our time doing a full lap around the pond at turtle-speed, laughing and talking the entire time. We eventually did rejoin the rest of the workforce, but I didn't mind it as much as I thought I would. We sorted masks and hung decorations together, which made it better. Mason even gave me a better introduction to his nephew, Tyler, who I'd only vaguely known before.
"Hey, pay attention," teased Mason, nudging me with his shoulder as we stood together, untangling a frankly ridiculous amount of lights with Tyler's help.
"I can't," I whined. "I'm falling asleep at the wheel. One coffee isn't even close to enough caffeine to wake me up."
"I could go on a coffee run," he suggested. I turned to him with wide eyes and an exaggerated gasp.
"You would be my hero forever."
He laughed. "Alright, alright, I'm on it. I'll take any excuse to get away from these lights. Ty, you want anything?"
"Sure. Black coffee."
"Alright. I'll be back in a few."
I smiled after him as he jogged up the lawn, only looking away when he finally disappeared from sight. As I turned back to the lights, I found Tyler staring at me with a raised eyebrow. I cleared my throat.
"You really like him, don't you?"
I sighed. "Yeah. Yeah, I really do."
Tyler nodded, first to me then to himself, as he returned to working on the lights. I watched him for a minute, then continued.
"I know we don't actually know each other that well, so this might be over the line, but... I can tell he really cares about you. He talks about you a lot. I think he'd walk through fire for you. And I think he'd want you to know that."
Tyler glanced up at me, jaw tight, but he nodded all the same. He muttered a "thanks", and then we went back to our work, mostly in silence except for long strings of expletives for this Gordian Knot of a light string.
The glowing happiness in my chest kept me going without the coffee for a while, until I started to notice just how long it had been since Mason left. Tyler had moved on due to frustration with the lights, and now stood across the lawn, but Mason was nowhere to be found. Even if the line had been out the door, he should've been back by now.
I scanned the crowd again, looking for a few specific people and only finding one of them. Stefan was still here, but Damon and Jeremy were conspicuously missing. I started walking to Stefan, picking up the pace when I noticed Bonnie missing too.
"Stefan," I said, my heartbeat pounding in my ears as I tried to keep my panic under control. "Where is Damon?"
"Listen, you have to stay calm, alright-?"
"No, not alright! Where is Damon? Or, actually, no. Where is Mason?"
"He's dating Katherine. Bonnie touched him, and she had a vision about him. He's got the moonstone, and he's with her. He's been lying to all of us. Things have changed since this morning."
"Things have- fuck. That's exactly what Damon was saying to Jeremy this morning," I shook my head, mentally kicking myself for not putting the pieces together faster. "Where are they, Stefan?"
"Did you not hear me? He's working with the enemy-"
"Stefan Salvatore. I will ask you one more time, and then it'll be my turn to cross some fucking lines. Where. Are. They."
Stefan watched me for a moment, considering. Then, finally, he said, "They're at the boarding house."
I barely waited for him to finish his answer before I took off running. My lungs burned as I raced through the people swarming around Lockwood Manor, towards where I'd left my car. Apparently, Damon had decided that Bonnie's vision of Mason and Katherine, whatever else it meant, gave him a pass to change the rules. To break the promise he made to me last night. Which meant, if I didn't move fast enough, I might never see Mason again.
I flung myself into the driver's seat of my car, then took off for the Salvatore Boarding House. I barely managed to stay on the right side of 'safe driver', and made it there in record time. I screeched to a stop in front of the house, and as soon as I stepped out of my car, I heard Mason scream from inside. My heart dropped to my feet as I raced forward, flung the door open, and rushed inside.
I could see Damon hovering over someone, presumably Mason, in a chair with it's back to me. Jeremy hovered off to the side, looking horrified but refusing to do something or leave. I shoved past Jeremy roughly, flinging out my arms and using a burst of magic to send Damon flying into the nearest wall and away from Mason.
"What is WRONG with you?" I cried, raging at Damon, feeling an anger like I'd never felt towards my best friend before. "Did everything we talked about mean nothing to you? I know you have some crazy need to do everything the violent way, and I've never let it get to me before, but you've also never backstabbed me before! How could you do this to me?"
"You don't understand-"
"I understand perfectly."
With one last shove of my magic at Damon, I whirled around to look at Mason. He was bound to a chair from the dining room, covered in his own blood, a hopeless, broken look in his eyes. I tried not to break with him as I dropped to my knees and started working to untie him.
"It's okay, it's okay," I said, talking to keep myself calm as much as to keep Mason calm. "Don't worry, I got you."
Mason didn't respond, and I spared a glance up at him to see him watching me, his face contorted in pain. I did my best to speed up, but it was harder to work the ropes and chains with how badly my hands were shaking.
"He's in love with Katherine," came Damon's voice from behind me. There was no fight or victory in his words, and I still trusted him enough to leave my back to him, even as I ignored him. "He told me himself before you came in. He doesn't love you, he loves her. Like every other poor sucker she's brainwashed and ditched over the years."
I huffed a breath through my nose as I finally managed to remove the last of Mason's restraints, then stood to face Damon. He was still a good distance away, not threatening, just watching. Posture relaxed, face pressed into a concerned frown. Jeremy stood over his shoulder, watching us like a tennis match.
"Is that supposed to make me willing to let you torture and kill him?"
Damon shrugged, an insufferable look that I knew very, very well crossing his face.
"This isn't a joke, Damon. Just because you get some new information doesn't mean everything we talked about last night ceases to be important. You should have talked to me. Like a rational person! Not done... this," my voice broke a little on the final word as I pictured Mason again, those empty eyes that had been so full of light and joy before. "Tell me something. If I hadn't shown up... were you going to kill him?"
Damon looked away, and I had my answer. I snorted, then turned to help Mason stand, slinging one of his arms over my shoulder. He was incredibly heavy, and he wasn't strong enough to be much help either, but I could manage.
"I would've been doing him a favor," Damon finally said, calling after me as I helped Mason limp towards the door. "I've been where he is. I know what it's like to be lost in Katherine land. There's no hope for him."
I just raised my middle finger back at him as we continued to the door. I didn't look back as the front door shut behind me and I loaded Mason into the passenger seat of my car, then climbed into the driver's seat. I started the engine, but just kept staring straight ahead, a thousand different thoughts and noises racing around in my mind all at once. I tried to focus on one, to process things slowly, but I couldn't. So, I forced all of it out, instead keeping my eyes locked on the road ahead and pretending nothing else existed. I could do that, just long enough to get out of here.
Mason didn't speak, move, or make a sound for the entire drive back to the Lockwood house. It wasn't the safest place for him, but I didn't know where else to take him. I stayed silent, too, focusing entirely on trying to fight the wave of everything threatening to crash over me in the middle of evening traffic.
Thankfully, when we got back to the Lockwood house, all the volunteers had gone. I helped Mason out of the car, then continued to be his crutch as we limped through the front door. He broke his silence long enough to point me towards his room, and I helped him up the stairs and through the door. As gently as possible, I helped him ease down on the bed. His super-healing would fix the physical injuries fairly quickly all things considered, but Damon had spent the afternoon torturing him. That wasn't as easy to get past.
"Are you okay?" I finally asked. I knew it was a stupid question, especially with everything else floating around in my head, but I needed to know what he'd say. To gauge how close he might be to okay.
Mason sighed and ran a hand through his hair, refusing to meet my eyes.
"I'm fine. Or at least... I guess I will be."
I nodded. "I'm glad." And I meant it.
Mason huffed another heavy, heavy sigh, then finally looked up at me.
"Thank you. For saving me."
"Yeah, of course. I... I'm sorry I was wrong. That Damon went right back to... that."
Mason waved me off, rubbing the back of his neck and staring holes in the carpet. The silence hung between us, and I took a shuffling step backwards before deciding I couldn't leave without a few answers, even if Mason clearly felt like shit.
"Is it true?" I asked, still hovering by the doorway. Mason flinched, and I knew he knew what I meant, but I continued anyway. "What Damon and Stefan said... are you with Katherine?"
Mason grimaced and ducked his head, not meeting my eyes. I took a few more steps across the room towards him.
"Mason. Please answer me."
He huffed a hollow laugh, then looked up at me, pain written all over his face.
"I'm sorry."
I shook my head. This time, it was my turn for the hollow laugh.
"I'm so, so sorry. I was trying to help her. I... I love her. Or at least, I did... I thought she loved me too..."
"Katherine doesn't love anybody," I spat, my voice full of venom. "I watched Damon wrestle with that realization for a few years. Did she ever tell you? She played him and Stefan against each other, dated and toyed with them both in 1864. Escaped from being trapped with twenty-six other vampires and never looked back, all while she let Damon chase after her, knowing full well he was trying to find a way to save her from a trap she wasn't in. For almost a hundred and fifty years. She's ditched and killed and betrayed everyone she's ever been with, Mason. Think about that long and hard before you really decide to stick with her."
With that, I turned on my heel, the first tears starting to fall as I wrenched the door open. It slammed closed again before I could get through it, and I turned to find Mason standing before me, one arm extended to keep the door shut. He looked torn and pained, even more so when he noticed the tears I failed to hold back.
"I need you to know... it was real. I wasn't... faking it, or whatever, all those times we hung out. I... really do like you." I scoffed, but he continued before I could tell him off. "It's just... Kath was there for me after I triggered my curse. My friend kept coming at me, trying to beat me up because he thought I was sleeping with his girlfriend, which I wasn't. I pushed him too hard, and he fell, and... and he died. I killed him. That same night was the first night I transformed. Kath was there for me then, and for every minute after. She's... my Damon."
"Ha!" I shouted, shoving Mason's chest and pushing him back with all the force I could muster. He stumbled back more than a few steps, apparently still weak from whatever Damon had done. "Don't you ever, ever compare them. Damon sucks, and does bad things that hurt the people he cares about. Don't think I don't know that. But the difference is, he actually has people he cares about.
"And before you go running back to Katherine, after I saved your life, you should really think Mason: Katherine wants the moonstone. You got her the moonstone. If she knew you could get it for her, then what might she have done to make you want to get it for her?"
Mason shook his head, slowly at first and then faster and faster.
"No. No, she can't compel me. I know she can't."
"Sure. But I bet she could compel your friend. I mean, did you ever figure out why he thought you'd gone after his girlfriend? Or why he wouldn't listen to you or to reason, just came at you until you were forced to defend yourself? The best way to make you do her dirty work for her was to give you a vested interest in getting the moonstone. What better way than a ray of hope to try to break your new curse?"
Mason sat down hard on his bed, head in his hands and shaking. I opened the door again, never taking my eyes off of Mason, my heart shattering in my chest.
"Think long and hard about the truth and who you can actually trust, Mason. Following Katherine will only lead you down a road of pain and death."
With that, I turned on my heel and walked out of the room. This time, nobody stopped me. And I didn't look back.
I got in my car and drove, no destination in mind, trying to process. I'd been falling for Mason, hard, and he'd betrayed me. Damon, who I'd always been able to count on, had done the same. Everything had come crumbling down in less than an hour.
I didn't go back home, to the Salvatore house, until sunrise the next morning. I'd stayed out all night, wandering aimlessly with my car, driving around and slowly working through everything. And when I walked through the doors of the boarding house again, I'd found a new clarity.
"Hey." Damon stood in the hallway, arms crossed and looking concerned. I gave him a weak smile.
"Hey."
"...Everything okay?"
"No. No it's not. You crossed a line, Damon, and even if you never crossed it again... the supernatural drama just doesn't stop. So I'm done with it."
"What do you mean?"
"I'm leaving. I'm leaving Mystic Falls, and everything that comes with vampires and werewolves and even witches, before it destroys me. It's not worth it. I booked a flight to San Diego on my phone a few hours ago."
Damon tried to convince me to stay, but I wasn't hearing it. I'd made up my mind, and now, I wasn't changing it. He hovered as I packed my bags, my anger still simmering but fading now that I'd spent time processing. By a little after noon, I was ready to go.
"Are you sure I can't convince you to stay?" Damon finally asked as I stood on the threshold of the house, my bags already loaded into the car.
"I'm sure. I meant what I said, Day, I'm done with this stuff. But I'll make you a deal."
"...And what kind of deal would that be?"
"Don't kill Mason, and you're welcome to visit me any time."
Damon scowled. "All that, and you're still protecting him?"
I shrugged. "I'm over it, all the death. And I think Mason might be having a wakeup call of his own now. Just... please, Damon. Consider this a second chance. Don't kill Mason. Or torture him, or hurt him. No matter what you learn, or how the circumstances change. He's off limits."
Damon just looked at me for a long, long moment before finally nodding, slowly.
"Fine. And if he asks where you went?"
"You can tell him. I don't think he's gonna chase me all the way to San Diego, especially not if he's still hung up on Katherine like you said he is. And like I said... feel free to come visit. Or call whenever."
Damon nodded once, lips pursed in a tight line. I gave him a smile and a little salute before turning and climbing into my car. I took one last breath to steel myself, then turned the key and left Mystic Falls in the dust behind me.

Two and a Half Months Later
I smiled from the porch of my new house (really closer to a shack) on the beach as I sipped my morning coffee. Watching the waves crash over the shore in the early morning light had become my routine, and I swear my blood pressure had dropped beyond belief as a result.
I hadn't had any supernatural visitors yet, but I knew it'd only be a matter of time. Despite everything, I hoped it would be Damon. There were a lot of things I didn't miss about living in the same sphere as him every day, but it had been nice to be so close to my best friend, even if he was a jackass a lot of the time.
Once the sun was a little higher in the sky and my mug was empty, I went back into the kitchen. The house had a thousand projects, and I'd only just started on the first one or two. I'd been doing those mostly by myself too, with little magical help, and it was nice. I could feel a little bit more of myself in this place with every change I made.
I set my mug in the sink and started to grab eggs out of the fridge when I heard a knock on the door. I wandered over to open it, then stopped dead when I saw who was on the other side.
Mason Lockwood. Iced latte in hand and a sheepish grin on his face.
"Hey," he said, holding out the coffee as a sort of offering. "I, uh... I hope it's okay that I'm here. Damon told me where you'd moved to, and I figured he'd never tell me if it wasn't alright with you. Even then. Honestly, I half expected to open this door and find an axe murderer or a random old man."
Despite myself, I snorted a laugh, and a small smile tugged its way onto my face. I reached out and took the coffee.
"It's good to see you," I said, and meant it. "I'm glad you're okay. Honestly, I think Damon probably sent you here as proof that he didn't kill you. I told him that was a condition of him being invited into my house."
This time, a small smile made its way onto Mason's face. We just looked at each other for a few minutes, hopeful smiles and an electric energy snaking between us, until I finally cleared my throat and took a half-step to the side.
"Do you... want to come in?"
Mason smiled, somehow still looking slightly pained.
"I... can't." I raised an eyebrow, and he rushed to continue. "I'd love to, for the record. It's just... I might've dragged Tyler out of Mystic Falls with me. And he might be waiting in the car."
For the first time, I glanced over Mason's shoulder to see Tyler sitting in the front seat of Mason's Bronco, arms crossed as he pointedly didn't look at us. I laughed.
"That's why it took me so long to get here," Mason continued. "You were right about Katherine. About everything, really. When I ditched her... she compelled a friend of Tyler's to get him to trigger the curse. Like she did to me."
My eyes widened in horror, and I took a step forward to rest my hand on Mason's arm before glancing over his shoulder again.
"Oh my God. Is he okay?"
Mason shrugged. "As okay as he can be. We're figuring it out. But I needed to stay to make sure he was okay, and that Katherine and the other supernaturals didn't get him killed. A lot went down after you left, but... we made it. So did Damon and Stefan. But we needed to get out, so I convinced Carol to let me take Ty for a little while."
I nodded. "I'm glad you did. Do you guys have a place to stay?"
"Yeah. I actually got a place down the beach from here," he said, blushing a little as he glanced away and rubbed at the back of his neck. "We just got into town, and I might've dragged Tyler here first without warning."
I laughed, then stepped fully out of my house, shutting the door behind me. Mason smiled, and my heart raced at our newfound proximity. I decided to let that impulse win and leaned up to give him a soft kiss on the cheek.
Mason looked shocked as I pulled away, then grinned a wolfish grin (pun intended) as he swept me into his arms and kissed me, for real. I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed him back, hard, completely indulging for a few long seconds before pulling back.
"Tyler's in the car," I said. I was a little breathless and smiling like an idiot, an expression Mason shared.
"He's fine, I left the window cracked."
My laugh was muffled as Mason leaned in and kissed me again, but this time I pulled away fairly quickly.
"I love that you're making vague dog jokes now, but I really don't want him to have to just sit there while we make out on my porch. Let me help you guys get settled in your new place, and then maybe we can go on a real date tonight?"
Mason beamed at me, pulling me close to his side and resting his forehead against mine.
"Sounds like a plan."
He gave me one last peck on the lips, then took my hand and tugged me down the stairs after him. I laughed, feeling freer and lighter than I had in a long time, as I opened the back door of his car and Mason hopped back in the driver's seat.
"Hey Tyler," I chirped. "It's nice to see you again."
"Yeah. Hi."
I caught Mason's eye in the rear view mirror, fighting and almost failing to hold back a laugh. His blue eyes sparkled like the ocean on a beautiful, clear day, and somehow I just knew we were at the start of something special and wonderful. Call it a witch's intuition, but I felt good about what the future held for me and Mason in San Diego.

della doesn't let most hate get to her, but that doesn't mean she's impenetrable
contains: angst, insecurities (anxiety), unintentional self-harm. just dark stuff.
i've been through it lmao. sorry it's really triggering.  a few of you requested angst and i'm not really good at that so i bring forward stuff that's inspired by what i've gone through (altered because della's problems are different from mine)
after 'we missed you'
"Guys! Come out!" Jake yelled out. "Gather in the living room! Everyone!" he made his way to the couch while holding Della's hand.
"I'm scared..." she told Jake timidly.
"It's okay. Just get it done and we'll go back to normal in no time," he didn't want to tell her that it would go well, as he himself won't know just how angry his other members will be. "Good luck."
Besides, she was greatly at fault.
Jake could see the amusement and relief on the guys' faces as they slowly came to the living room. On the other hand, Della only stared at her lap with wide eyes, trying to hold back tears and a potential panic attack..
"What is it?" Jungwon asked, closing the master bedroom door behind him.
"Della has something to say," Jake leaned back with crossed arms. "Lala?"
"I-" she took a few deep breaths. "I'm sorry for ignoring all of you," short and simple.
The seven men stayed quiet while patiently waiting for an explanation, yet the girl was as still as a rock.
"Is that it? Tell them what you told me," the sternness in Jake's voice was evident, though not to the point of being mistaken for anger.
"A.. sasaeng- a crazy fan got a hold of my Katalk contact and they said some things that really got to me," her eyes were starting to tear up again.
"She didn't report to the company or to us," Jake added.
"It was so fucking dumb. I was hoping that I could have you guys hate me and eventually break up with me so you can move on and get proper girlfriends who's not shitty and fucked like me and have them all to yourselves-" Della suddenly went on and on.
"Della stop," Jay cut her off.
"But at the same time, I don't want that at all and I want to keep things as they are-" Sunghoon called her name next, yet she still kept going. "But then that's incredibly selfish of me because who the fuck has more than one lover and just lets them share?"
"Kang Della," even Heeseung resorted to her full name.
"It's incredibly dumb and I should've just talked to you guys about it if it really bothered me that much but I was just thinking that getting you all to hate me was best for you to move on but then I didn't consider our group dynamic and-" that's when Niki had enough, so he shut her up with a kiss.
'Shit- I was about to do that," all six remaining boys thought.
"Della, listen.." Niki pulled back to let the girl focus on Jungwon's words. "I'm not going to lie, what you did was really shitty. All of us just felt like shit for the past few days," anyone could tell the leader was mad and serious.
"None of us will blame you for getting hurt over some stranger's words or for having insecurities. It's more about how it doesn't seem like you trust us enough," Jungwon continued sternly. "You have one, two, three, four, five, six, seven boyfriends. We're your members and best friends, you can tell us anything."
"Jungwon-ah," Sunoo shook his head at the leader.
"Look, I don't want to make you feel worse or anything but we gotta make that clear first," Jungwon continued. "We love you, Della! We won't leave you that easily! You can ignore us for months and we'll still come back to you," he pulled her head into his stomach (as he was still standing in front of her) and caressed the sobbing girl's hair.
"Don't do that again, okay? You trust us, right?" Heeseung rubbed her back, and the girl could only nod in response. "I don't wanna add fuel but doing that is never going to work. All it does is just hurt us- hurt all of us including yourself."
"I'm sorry," Della kept sobbing into Jungwon's shirt. "I'm so sorry."
"Anything else? The ones who didn't speak?" Heeseung looked at the other members.
"I just want all of this to be over and done with. Don't ever do that again please. That's a stupid reason to break up," Jay had his arms crossed and let one hand go to stroke her hair for a bit.
"That's right. Della don't do that ever again please, just talk to us. Any one of us," Sunoo just stared at the many hands comforting her. "You're not fighting this alone. This hurts. It really does."
"I have nothing else to add. I just want this done," Niki managed to sneak an arm to her thigh to gently rub up and down.
"Ack! That tickles," Della's thigh suddenly shoots up, causing the members to chuckle.
Heeseung noticed that one member remained silent and was physically further away compared to the others.
He focused his gaze on Sunghoon and saw that the guy looked really angry, more so than the leader, who immediately let out his feelings. He was spaced out and had his jaw clenched. It was clear that he had a lot on his mind.
The younger seemed to feel the pair of eyes on him, for he snapped out of it to meet Heeseung's stare. The two stayed that way until Jungwon eventually broke it.
"Sunghoon-hyung?" Sunghoon looked over at everyone else. They were all (including Della) looking at him.
He sighed before opening up his arms for Della to enter.
"I'm gonna be honest with you, I'm really angry right now," he whispered into her ear. "I thought that you trust me, trust us- any of us. I wouldn't be mad if it wasn't a big deal but it is and you brought seven other people down with you. You shouldn't do that," he could feel Della's tears soaking his shirt.
"You trust us, right?" he continued. The girl could only nod frantically. "You love us, right? We're not just members, are we?" she nodded again with an additional whine. "Don't do that again, okay? Talk to us. You always said communication is key. It'll save everyone the heartbreak and emotions, yeah?"
"I'm sorry, oppa," Della hugged him tighter. "I'll try my hardest," Sunghoon let out a sigh.
"Honestly, I would have probably asked for some space right now but since you already gave me- gave us that, I just want things back to normal. Make it up to us, I'm sure they're also still pissed. They just miss you too much to admit it," he stroked her hair. "Alright?" she let out a small 'okay' "Okay. Let's stop crying. Let's talk or something. Go cuddle with someone," he kissed her head before pulling away and directing her back to the couch.
"Can we see the texts?"

2023 is shit already.
I hate myself.
I hate myself so fucking much.
No matter how many negative comments I get, no one could ever hate Della as much as Della herself.
It's true that hate can barely get to me, though that doesn't mean I'm immune to everything.
Why is everyone so adamant about the guys dating Aespa?
And suddenly with the slightest curiosity, my Tiktok for-you-page is now filled with the boys' ships.
I was mostly fine with them. Obviously, since idols aren't (mainly) in control of that. Yet I just can't help it at times. The images of how good they look together constantly cloud over my mind- I'm sick and tired of it.
There's a reason why I can't seem to get too close with certain girl groups or members.
It pains me to distance myself from the girls of Aespa or Stayc or heck- even some of the Ive girls just because of my dumbass insecurity. They seem like such lovely people but I can't even look at them in real life without thinking of the fucking ship contents.
Fuck, don't even get me started on the ones with my actual friends.
Unbearable anxiety keeps creeping into me whenever Wonyoung or Yuna apologises for shit they're not even responsible for. Most of my texts with (half of) the Le Sserafim girls are their long-ass apologies.
What if they don't want to be my friends anymore? What if they're uncomfortable with all of this?
Wouldn't have happened if you didn't catch feelings, dumb fuck. You should've known not to fall in love. This is what you get.
I'm going through all this personal stuff already and guess what's the cherry on top of this shit sandwich.
The hate is worse than ever before. A lot worse than when Enhypen first started- and that's saying a lot.
There are hundreds- maybe thousands (okay that's an extreme exaggeration) of videos, comments, and posts that hate on every single fucking thing I do.
I noticed that it started from me getting a bit touchy with the guys during award shows. By touchy, I mean by holding their hands when I start to get really anxious. Apparently, it was seen as 'pick me behaviour' since I wouldn't let peoples' ship moments happen for long.
Then it spiralled into people compiling all the moments where I acted really 'territorial' or 'pick me' around the guys. Then it just went to everything. My singing. My dancing. My rap. My clothes. My mannerisms. My habits. The way I talk, eat, walk, look at people- everything.
What's worse is that even some of my fans are starting to agree.
I could usually cheer up a bit if I focus on the positive posts but even Engenes are saying stuff like 'I love Della but she's...' 'Della's my girl but...' 'I don't wanna hate on Della but...'
It wouldn't stop. It came to the point where I had to avoid all social media, including Weverse, just so I can have a chance to breathe. Even then, I still have this shit anxiety to deal with.
The boys, my friends, my family, the loyal fans, the concerts are all there to distract and comfort me. I've been very vocal to the guys and I'm actually attending weekly therapy.
It worked, of course, but it's not permanent. Over a month has passed, yet the anxiety keeps coming back.
It got so bad that my therapist advised me to go see a psychiatrist for medication options, which I would gladly do. The company disagreed though. Something about how antidepressants make people gain weight.
I'm exhausted. Physically, mentally and emotionally. I don't want to pretend to be happy anymore. I just want to disappear.
I hate how I have anxiety. I hate how I'm not good enough. I hate how I can't be happy. I hate myself, I just hate Della so much.
"DELLA, NO!" Niki abruptly grabbed the grater from me and hugged me tight. "STOP. STOP. SNAP OUT OF IT!" he shook me a little. What?
"Huh?" I looked at him with furrowed eyebrows.
"HYUNG, GET A TOWEL!" he pointed to a towel nearby. What?
"Holy shit- JAY-HYUNG! GET A FIRST AID KIT!" Sunoo wrapped the towel around my right hand.
"WHAT HAPPENED?!" the other guys apart from Jay came into the kitchen frantically.
"Della- Lala was grating and- and she grated her hand," Sunoo looked at them with wide eyes. Huh?
"Holy fuck- why is there so much blood?" Jay entered with the first aid kit.
Suddenly I felt a terrible sting on my palm. I turned my attention to the hand Sunoo was holding and could see the heavily red-tinted towel.
I was grating potatoes. I was getting close to the end of it so I held it with my open palm, as I usually do... and then I guess I zoned out.
Oh shit, the potatoes.
"The- the potatoes," I looked at the most recently grated ones. They were unusable. They were completely red.
"DELLA, FUCKING SNAP OUT OF IT!" Niki shook me again.
"How did you not feel that?!" Jake yelled.
"I... I..." I didn't know what to say. It was painful, yet familiar. "I- potatoes- dinner."
"DELLA PLEASE!" Sunoo screamed out, hanging his head down.
"PLEASE, STOP!" "SNAP THE FUCK OUT OF IT" I could hear the others yelling too.
"Let's sit her down. Niki, bring her to the living room," Jungwon instructed shakily. "Come on, Lala."
"My- my hand," it hit me. My hand was completely fucked. It wasn't even a small injury like how it usually is.
"It's okay. It's okay. Look, Jay's treating it," Sunghoon tried to calm my building-up panic attack, even though his voice was also filled with nerves.
"I'm sorry," yet I couldn't help it. My eyes brimmed with tears and my voice started to shake. "I'm so sorry."
"Stop, stop. It's getting treated right now, it's okay," Heeseung pat my head with a sniffle.
"This is gonna sting. I'm sorry, Della," Jay's voice sounded like he had a lump in his throat. "One, two, three."
Now this familiar feeling, I hate. Treating the wounds hurt so much.
I hissed loudly at the pain, while the members tried to calm me down by saying reassuring words. Their voices overlapped one another's, but it was mostly 'shhh's, 'it's okay's, and 'just a little bit more's.
"I'M SORRY! I'M SO SORRY!" I screamed in pain. "I didn't mean to, I swear!" I cried out.
"We know, we know," Niki rubbed my shoulder. I was sat on his lap as he was still holding me.
"Almost there," Jay croaked out. "Just gotta wrap it."
"I hate myself so much, I don't know what to do," I sobbed into Sunoo's arm. I talked to the boys, I talked to my therapist. I did it right this time. So why am I still like this?
"I'm sorry, Lala," Jungwon held my uninjured hand. "I wish we can take this away from you."
"Do you want to have a break? A hiatus? We can talk to the company together," Heeseung offered.
"Noo, not now," I managed out. "The- the tour, the comeback, fashion week-"
"Don't worry about it. You need to have some rest, Della," Jake ran a hand through his hair.
"The company-" I was cut off by a chorus of 'we'll help's and 'we'll talk to them's.
I was the only member of Enhypen who is not allowed to have a hiatus. If I had to go on one, the whole team does too. The company said they can't have Enhypen look like a boy group or people would get used to it and say it looks better that way.
"No! Please! Give me one more chance- I'll get better, please!" I can't be selfish. I can't be selfish.
"You're not being selfish, Della, please," Sunghoon pleaded.
"NO! PLEASE! JUNGWON PLEASE!" I turned to the leader. If I can convince him, everyone will follow. "Please... One more chance. Please."
"But Lala.. You-" his eyes glossed over the state I was in. "Look at you! We can't let you move on like this!"
"Psychiatrist!" Niki spoke up. "She can take the medicine," he tried to somewhat defend me.
"I-" I wanted to protest but I knew I had to agree. Look at your boyfriends, Della. You fucking hurt them. Again.
And again.
And again and again and again-
Shut the fuck up.
"Yes! Try the medication, please, Della," Jake sounded desperate and lost.
"What if it doesn't wo-"
"IT HAS TO!" Jay yelled, causing all of us to flinch. "IT FUCKING HAS TO!"
"Jongseong-ah," Heeseung tried to calm him down.
"If it doesn't work then hiatus! Leave the group! Anything! Just please-" his voice cracked again. "Just come back. Get better, please."
No. Anything but leaving the group. I can't let something as dumb as my insecurities get in the way of my dreams that I worked so fucking hard on. Both the career of my dreams and the relationship of my dreams.
And after going through so many member departures, I know how heartbreaking it is for the fans and members.
This anxiety has to get better. It has to.
"Either way, we piss off the company, right?" I joked with a small chuckle. "Might as well choose the option that'll make me look hotter."
My aim was to make them laugh a little. Instead, I got them crying even harder.
"I love you all so much. I'm so sorry you have to deal with m-" Sunoo managed to speak through his tears and cut me off.
"We're not dealing with anything, Della. We'll go to the ends of the planet to find a cure for you."
happy birthday month to della and i. happy anniversary month to della and the guys 🤍 i'll try to update as much as i could. starting things off a little dark..
requested:— we missed you pt. 2— angst— della regarding enha x aespa— della hiatus (though it's only talks of it)— della gets into an accident (though not as extreme as a car crash)

Request: Condom breaks and gets lost in y/n while reader and elvis are having sex. They both freak out. Elvis doesn’t know what to do so he goes to Charlie (or if you want someone else) for advice. Y/n is embarrassed that Charlie (and now probably all of the Memphis mafia) knows as she is shy and doesn’t like that sort of information known by anyone other than elvis and herself.
You can decide how elvis gets it out and how much Charlie plays a role. Reader doesn’t get pregnant from this incident
hehehe, you know i'll always do anything once. I do apologise though, this is kinda rushed and short and I felt the second hand embarrassment as I was writing it lmao. but here you go, pls forgive me. I feel like this is 50's Elvis too.
Warnings: a little smut 18+ (minors dni) clit slapping. scratching? condom comes off? accidental creampie. Elvis goes 'fishing.' I didn't proof read soz, so there is 100% things that dont make sense
"Right there, Huh, baby?" Elvis grunted as Y/n cried out, his hips snapping up into her and hitting her sweet spot with every thrust, her nails digging into his bicep in a sweet sting, leaving half moons into his soft skin before her hands went down to Elvis's expensive bed sheets. "So, so good, Daddy!" Y/n exclaimed, her eyes rolling back in ecstasy as she threw her head back as his thrusts became impossibly harder.
Y/n was staying over at Graceland for the weekend, Elvis pretty much begging her too, not wanting to be alone after he had come back from the Hayride tour, and it took a lot of convincing to get her too, but she finally caved. But when y/n began teasing him at the kitchen table at dinner, he just about threw her over his shoulder, carrying her upstairs and throwing her on the bed.
"You like it rough, little girl?" Elvis panted, his hand slapping her clit and causing her to yelp, back arching up and the new sudden contact. When she didn't respond, he slapped her clit once more, growling an "Answer me." "Yes! Yes, El-Daddy!" Y/n whimpered, her hands trembling as she tried to grab onto him again, her fingers weakly scratching down his arms as she began to flutter around him, about to reach her high, Elvis not too far behind. "You are never to tease me like that again."
Y/n nodded, unable to form words as her orgasm hit, too far gone to feel the warmth of his release inside her as he rested his forehead on her chest, heaving through his orgasm as he shot deep into her without realizing it. When he rolled off her and pulled out of her, her attention was suddenly onto the feeling of him dripping out of her. Y/n snapped her head to look at him as he panted, staring up at the roof with a soft smile on his face.
Her eyes went down to his bare cock, expecting to see it still covered with the condom he had rolled onto himself before they fucked. "Elvis, did you take off the condom?" Y/n slightly gasped, wondering if he had quickly slipped it off while he rolled off her. "No, why?" He breathed out, turning his head to look at her with brows furrowed. "Shit! Oh, no." Y/n cried out, sitting up and ruffling through the blankets as Elvis came to the realization of what had happened. "Where is it?" Elvis asked her, panic lacing his voice.
"I don't know, Elvis!" Y/n snapped, fear in her eyes. "What if it's in me? You have to help me." Y/n pulled at her hair, Elvis's face paling, his eyes frantically looking at her. "H-How?" Elvis squeaked, as he slowly backed away from her. "You have l-long fingers, you have to r-reach i-i-nside me." Y/n stuttered, Elvis's eyes widening as he stood up off the bed, reaching for his dressing down. "Elvis! Don't you dare!" Y/n warned through gritted teeth as he threw on the robe, running for the door in fear as y/n called out his name.
Elvis ran down the stairs in a panic, his fingers running through his hair. He knew he should've stayed with her and helped, but fear took over his body and a million thoughts ran through his head. Pregnancy, the condom being stuck in her, the fact he came in her, he felt his chest heave as he paced the living room. "What's got you causing a breeze?" He heard a voice pipe in, Elvis snapping his body around.
Charlie was leaning against the wall, a drink in his hand as he stared at Elvis, a brow cocked. "I-Uh, uhm." Elvis wasn't sure if he should tell one of his best friends what had just happened, Elvis looking around and seeing it was just Charlie and no one else. "C'mon, you can tell me, man. You look like you just seen a ghost." Charlie chuckled at Elvis's state.
"The condom came off inside of her and I don't know what to do." Elvis answered quickly, chewing on his fingernails nervously as Charlie's brows shot up in shock, Elvis shifting his weight from one foot to the other, anxiously waiting for an answer. Charlie let out a loud laugh in shock, catching the attention of some of the other guys, Elvis giving Charlie a warning look as he continued to laugh loudly. "What are you laughing about?" Jerry spoke, walking up to them as pink flushed Elvis's cheeks. "You wouldn't believe, a condom is stuck in y/n right now!" Charlie exclaimed, Elvis rushing over to Charlie, covering his mouth with his hands.
"Seriously?' Jerry gasped, Elvis glaring at him, almost daring him to laugh. "Dude, you need to go up there and help her. What are you doing down here?" Jerry scolded as Elvis let go of Charlie, who started laughing again, Jerry punching his arm. Elvis rushed back upstairs and into his room, but he didn't see y/n. He called out for her as he shut the door.
"In the bathroom!" He heard her voice call from his bathroom. He opened the door and saw y/n with her leg up on the sink, her fingers in her as she tried to feel around. "Baby, I'm sorry, I just freak-" "Don't worry about it, just help me get it out." Y/n grumbled, trying to adjust her balance. "This is so fucking embarrassing." She whined, her pleading eyes staring at him.
"J-just let me know if I'm h-hurting you." He spoke, y/n nodding in response as Elvis took a deep breath, pushing two fingers in her. It took his a moment, but he eventually felt the rubber material, hooking it around his index finger as she hissed, he froze for a moment before he slowly pulled it out of her. When it was out, they both let out a sigh of relief, washing their hands.
"I think I got most of you out of me." Y/n cleared her throat, staring at the floor as she made her way back into his room, starting to get dressed, wanting to get a drink of juice from the kitchen. Elvis stood in front of her as she tried to get past him, she couldn't look at him. Not after what just happened, her cheeks were pink and she was squirming in her spot.
"Next time, we wont go so rough, huh, doll?" Elvis chuckled, trying to lighten the mood. He knew she was uncomfortable with the situation, y/n giggling slightly. "How did you not feel it come off?" Y/n laughed, slightly smacking his chest, Elvis giving her a shrug.
Elvis and y/n walked downstairs, hand in hand, making their way to the kitchen, y/n pouring them glasses of juice as she leaned on the counter, letting out a soft yawn. They heard a commotion in the living room, getting both of their attention. As they walked into the room, the boys began laughing at them.
"Did you get it out?" Red cackled, Charlie throwing his head back in laughter, the only one not laughing was Jerry, knowing how embarrassed y/n must be, her cheeks flushed as she glared up at Elvis. "Did you tell them?" Y/n spoke through clenched teeth as Elvis looked away from her in guilt.
"I-I-I only asked Charlie for advice, I swear, Honey!" Elvis stuttered, trying to explain and defend himself. "Baby, the last person you ask for advice is Charlie!" Y/n huffed as Charlie cackled harder, y/n hiding her face in her hands as Elvis wrapped his arm around her.
"Shut it, all of you! At least I fucked her good, something you boys can't do!" Elvis grumbled, the boys trying to hold in their laugh, y/n rolling her eyes at Elvis.

party gone wrong
requested? yes! here
i actually hate this so sorry to this anon i'll probably make some edits later or just redo it as a whole
warnings: slight mention of alcohol, crying, panic attack, shit ending lmao
parties were never your thing. you hated the noise, the people, the crowded rooms, basically everything about it. now dating an influencer came along with many parties. you have been to an "influencer party" before and it wasn't that bad. you stuck with who you knew and everything was alright, but the one tonight was going to be huge. you were scared but you didn't dare to tell your boyfriend, matt. not that he would do anything bad, just because he would drop everything when he really wanted to go to this party. you were currently at your vanity doing your makeup. you're wearing a cropped black short sleeve with a varsity jacket on top and jeans. once you finished your makeup you took your hair out of it's black claw clip to reveal your natural hair. you ruffle it up a bit (please tell me yk what i mean) and matt walks into the room. you turn your head around to see him in jeans and a ransom tee with a skull and blue lettering. you smile at him admiring his presence.
"you look pretty." matt says, breaking the silence
"thank you, and you look handsome." you say with a slight blush and a wide smile
"thanks, well we're gonna get heading out soon just a heads up." matt says blushing due to your compliment
"alright, i'll be down in a minute."
after matt left you put on your shoes and apply some perfume. you sigh deeply knowing that this party won't be enjoyable but hey, its for matt. shortly after you walk downstairs and you head to the car. 15 minutes later you guys arrive at the party. you grab matt's hand and he gives it a light squeeze.
it's been an hour and to be honest you're pretty proud of yourself. you haven't had that many moments where you were extremely uncomfortable. well safe to say you spoke too soon. before you knew it your clothes were too tight, the smell of the alcohol was nauseating, the music was giving you a headache, and your breaths started getting short.
"i'll be right back, i'm gonna go to the bathroom" you say as you put on your best fake smile
"okay!" nick says
the second you step into the bathroom you start crying. it was all too much. you hug your knees to your chest and let your jeans soak up the tears. you tried to calm yourself down but nothing was working. you didn't know how much time you spent on the floor crying.
at the party, outside of the bathroom
"is y/n alright?" nick questions
"i don't know she's been in there for a while. i'll go check on her" matt says wondering if you're okay
"i'll be right back, i'm gonna go check on my girl." matt informs the rest of the group.
he walks towards the bathroom hoping that you're alright. he knocks on the door.
"you alright, n/n?"
"n-no, just c-come in." you choke out
he opens the door to see you hyperventilating and crying.
"oh baby…" matt says
"i-i'm sorry" you say barely above a whisper
"no, no, no, none of this is your fault i should've noticed how uncomfortable you were." matt says as he wraps you into a bear hug
"can you take some deep breaths?" matt asks
"i-i'll try." you stammer out
"here let's do it together, in through your nose out through your mouth."
he rubs your back and whispers sweet nothings into your ears.
"how about we go home and watch a movie?" matt suggests
you instantly nod your head nuzzling your head farther into his chest if that was even possible.
at home
you kick your shoes off and go upstairs to change matt soon following. he grabs your makeup wipes and walks towards you.
"what are you doing?" you question
"taking of your makeup? now close your eyes." matt says in a "duh" tone
you close your eyes as he gently rubs the wipe against your soft skin, scared to hurt you. he smiles as the way your nose scrunched up when the wipe hits a new spot on your face
"alrighty, i'm done." matt declares
you both get into bed. your head against his chest listening to his heartbeat. matt soon puts on a movie (wtv u want)
"i'm sorry i didn't realize sooner, baby." matt says quietly
"i promise it's okay, none of this is your fault." you assure
"i love you baby, more than you'll ever know." matt says with love in his voice
"i love you too."
30 minutes later you had fallen asleep, matt notices and turns down the volume down on the tv.
"good night my love." matt says as he kisses your temple admiring the sight of his girlfriend
