Y'know Zal, I was thinking. Paul, Jen, Gabe, Dolores, Mel, Tammy...that's 6/9 canonically queer characters. Does Krampus just hate queer people? Is Krampus a self-loathing pansexual? Or does he love giving queer people a second chance...
To be fair, he didn't know half of them were queer, and even if he did, he doesn't give them a free pass if they choose to be horrible people.

I am happy to be drawing again! Have a Santa Mr.Freeze and Jonathan Krampus. I would have loved to post this on Krampusnacht but was too busy with classes.
Plus bonus
I thought Mari Lwyd was also fitting as a holiday creature for Jonathan. He is a nursery rhyming horse girl after all.

Hey, friends! I hope you don't mind if I try to peddle a project I've been working on. After three years of designing, drawing, making prototypes, etc, I'm finally releasing (taking orders for) the wooden wall-hanging Santa's Workshop DisPlayset. I wanted to make something that people can hang in their homes year after year, and to be part of their holiday traditions.
The set comes with Santa, Mrs. Claus, and ten elves.
It's made of sturdy 1/4 birch, and has nine platforms on which to position the figures.
It also has a shelf below the stables on which to place the story cards that come with each figure:
I've also got 25 additional Christmas and winter holiday figures ready to populate the workshop, available either individually or as a big collection:
Thanks for taking a look! I really appreciate it. This has been a labor of love for a while and I'm excited to put it out into the world.
I'll be taking orders for US customers (looking into international shipping, but it's very difficult and pricy to manage) until August 15, 2023 to have them mailed by October 31, 2023 so you right-after-Halloween Christmas decorators can get yours up quick.
You can order the Workshop and/or figures at SchweizerCraft.com
Thanks again!

Thinking about the ghouls attempting to convince Phantom and Aurora that Santa Claus is real, except it goes awry and Phantom is horrified of this man who breaks into someone's home to leave them gifts. He's convinced it's reverse burglary. Absolutely terrified of some random man coming into the Ministry to "spread Christmas cheer" and yet he ONLY comes when they're asleep.
However, the ghouls have a tradition that each year either Aether or Swiss dress as "Santa Claus" to deliver presents. This year it's Swiss' turn. Which goes wrong when Phantom is awake, watching for Santa Claus to attack him. So he sees Santa and runs to Swiss' room to wake him and show him Santa.... only to find his room empty. But it doesn't dawn on him quite yet, so he's running to Mountain's room to wake him. Phantom is panicked, rambling about how Santa Claus took Swiss.
Through laughter Mountain has to explain that it's not real, that Santa is a myth we tell to mortal children. That Swiss and Aether take turns dressing as Santa each year for fun.

How long did it take for Santa and Krampus to go from enemies to lovers? And who initiated the polycule?
In my canon, Nick and Kramps first met in the Alps sometime around the turn of the second Millennium. Krampus was terrorizing a village one day, so some Christian converts called upon the Saint to come and protect the children from the demon. Krampus is technically a nature spirit, not a demon, and so Nick was having trouble figuring out how to stop the beast.
Fortunately, a young Befana was dispatched by Perchta to fetch Krampus and found the two duking it out in the town square. Thinking quickly, she created chains and shackles out of Nick's shadow, which he used to bind him successfully.
Perchta decided that it would be an apt punishment for Krampus to remain shackled to the Saint and be his twisted reflection. Krampus dispised his situation at first, expecting to be treated like some wild animal to be tamed or put on display. But Nick always treated him with respect. He always treated him like a fellow man. Perhaps it was Befana's mediation...perhaps it was Nick's "I could fix him" attitude...maybe it was even Krampus' "I could make him worse" attitude...but something eventually clicked between the three of them.
By the 14th-15th century, their love for each other became apparent. I think...I think Nick would have been the one to admit his feelings while Befana would have been the one to propose a polygamous relationship.
