Hey anon!!! Thanks for the ask!! Favorite fics...I've written. You've given me too much freedom by asking my why I like them I am so sorry for the wall of text about to hit.

To Veer The Tides

It's a fic for Kuroko no Basuke which is basically just me slapping the character names onto a WILDLY different fantasy setting. It's for Akashi x Furihata. An arranged marriage AU where Akashi is the son of an emperor who went too power hungry and wanted to consolidate 7 mostly independent states(provinces??) into one, but he was defeated by the remaining states and to control Akashi, he is arranged to marry far below his station to Furihata, son of a destroyed noble house which is under the rule of Kagami's state. So it's about Akashi climbing back to power with Furihata initially thinking Akashi is pure evil but he soon realizes that maybe Akashi and his family aren't as evil as the people believe.

I ended up doing so much research, world-building and character expansion. It's more political intrigue than romance, lol. I still love that fic to death, I think I honestly peaked there for world-building, at least. I wrote it immediately after reading and watching Mo Dao Zu Shi and being first introduced to the concept of cultivation as a magic system and really wanted to put all my faves in flowy robes and long hair.

I want to get back to it, but I've discontinued it because I am simply not qualified to right about Dissociative Identity Disorder, systems and alters. Akashi has a terribly stereotypical portrayal of it in canon and I thought maybe I could research enough to write that, but I just, I don't know any systems and I felt like if I can't respect it, I didn't want to do it.

But it's still my favorite in terms of the world and aesthetics I had going on for it.

2. Tell Me Your Story (I'll Tell You Mine)

My current baby. The one I incessantly post about and draw for. Single-handedly over saturating the kyoshi warrior sokka x blue spirit zuko market. It's set in the canon world but I had to do so much research for this one too. I learned a lot, I think, while writing this. Big lesson being never ever write in present tense but if you're 200K+ words into it there is simply no going back RIP.

It started as just a silly romance because I thought it'd be funny to have Sokka and Zuko be completely oblivious to who they like. But as I began plotting and writing, it transformed into me projecting all my issues with colonialism and using the ATLA setting as base to dip a little bit deeper into the themes the show itself brings up, and some issues that it doesn't. Like, how colonialism uses your own culture against you, how it makes you fear who you are, makes you do things you don't want.

I deliberately chose that title because lots of indigenous communities in the world have lost their stories because of colonialism. Oral traditions and tales that are forgotten because people were killed and forced to never repeat them, forced to forget their languages. And that, really got to me. How colonialism slowly strips you of what makes human beings what they are; stories, art, music, dance, etc.

So this fic ended up being about how colonialism steals from you, uses what is yours AGAINST you and how it is important to embrace who you are and fight back.

3. Tell The Neighbours I'm Not Sorry

It's for Jon and Jay from DC Comics and Superfam. I wrote it when I was seeing a lot of biphobia against Jon and racism against Jay. As a bi asian, even if it was towards fictional characters, it was getting to me. People kept talking about how there's a specific way to be bi. Why did Jon never have a crisis about being queer? Why did Jon and Jay move so fast? Is Jay manipulating Jon just to get what he wants? It was all filled with a lot of stereotypes and biases.

Superman comics especially often taken up real world issues and puts it into the story. So I took all my anger and frustration from the biphobia and racism and wrote it into a fic.

It's about how there's no one way to being queer, and about how immigrants and non-white people are immediately classified as some kind of 'other' and 'bad' with zero grounding. It's also a little bit about colonialism on Jay's end. It's so charged with me going "FUCK IT!" and still somehow came out okay as a fic and I think I like that I managed to turn my anger into something productive.

4. An Itajun fic I have not published and am still writing

It's my first JJK fic! It's an absolute mess in my drafts right now but I really like it, it's very fun for me. Junpei starts seeing and sensing curses far earlier because of built resentment from his bullies going too far and severely injuring him, his mom finds out and they move to Yuuji's area of Tokyo to get away from the school since they won't do anything about the bullying. Yuuji and Junpei run into each other and meet early at school. So the dynamics are kinda reversed, where Junpei is the one who is into the world of curses first while Yuuji has no clue, but they slowly interact and come together, forming a tight bond.

Junpei trusts no one and is dealing with all this curse nonsense trying to understand what it means. Yuuji is seemingly happy and chipper but he's going through tough times because his grandpa got hospitalized. It's both of them supporting each other and making sure the other isn't alone.

Woah, this is such a hard question to answer because I need to pick from so many stuffs I've consumed over the past 10+ years. 😂

I'll try to list down some of my recent favorites and a few that I've liked for a long time until now.

I don't put any anime there because I usually move on from a fandom after 1-2 years. Like, I loved Kuroko no Basuke, Yuri!! on Ice, and Free! in the past, but I'm no longer that hyped about them now. I love Jujutsu Kaisen right now, but I don't know if I can still say the same next year.

Anyway, more of my blabbering why I like those Top 7 list under the cut so that the post won't get too long. xD

Book: Qiang Jinjiu (Danmei) This is my most favorite danmei so far. Really love the main characters' relationship, the super intense war, and the intricate politic/conspiracy in this book.

Game: Honkai Star Rail Probably my most recent obsession and it will remain so for a while since the story's continuously updating. I thought the characters look interesting and I fell in love with them after following the story. The gameplay is also fun! <3

Game: Slow Damage (Visual Novel) I've always been fond of Nitro+Chiral's visual novels. I played everything from Togainu no Chi, Lamento, and DRAMAtical Murder (not Sweet Pool because I know it's tragedy and I don't wanna read tragedies *sobs*). For me, Slow Damage is the best VN that N+C have released so far. The gameplay and arts have been upgraded so much and I love love LOVE the main character! 😭 Book: Can Ci Pin (Danmei) My second favorite danmei from my favorite author. <3 I always like sci-fi and this is such an awesome story that kept me on edge the entire time.

Book: Mo Du/Silent Reading (Danmei) My third favorite danmei and the one I've read the most (4-5 times by now, I think?). I've always been fond of detective/mystery story, so this hits the brief. Plus, the main pairing's dynamic is lovable and funny at the same time. I think they're my favorite danmei couple to this day.

TV Series: Masterchef Australia I always love to watch cooking show since I was a kid. I think I've been following this series since the first season hahaha...

Book: Lord of the Rings Ngl, this is probably my favorite movie to this day. I remember watching the trilogy over and over again in high school that I can practically recall every line and scene. I think I even learned some Elf language back then. 😂

Note: Hi! I'm glad you liked it! I was really scared to post it, thinking I won't be able to satisfy the reader. My favourite character would be Kuroko Tetsuya and Kise Ryouta! Tetsuya is just soooooo cute and I really like Kise's character. I like soft bois ^3^.

MidoTaka Friendship Headcannons

There is never a boring day when you are friends with Midorima and Takao. They always make you laugh at how they act especially when Takao teases Midorima. You were already close with Midorima, he was your weird neighbour who carried out weird items that you now know as his lucky item for today. You also babysat his younger sibling and your parents are pretty much friends as well.

The two of you just became accustomed to each other presence, you treat him as family and he does the same. Sure enough, both of your parents made sure the two of you are always together not for the sake of making you date but to simply look out for each other.

Takao just came in a later picture. Just like how you friendship began with Midorima, you grew to like Takao as well. He was funny and very friendly! The two of you would gang up with Midorima and play on pranks on him, ending with small red mark on both of your forehead.

"Worth it." You snickered, seeing a picture of Midorima with a drawn mustache while sleeping on the desk. Later selling it to his fangirls.

"TAKAO! (Y/N)! YOU ARE IN TROUBLE NANODAYO!" Midorima caught the two of you selling his pictures, stomping towards your direction, Takao grabbed your arm and you guys made a run for it.

"PEDAL FASTER KAZU-NII!"

Midorima eventually catched up after throwing his luck item (surprisingly it's a brick) and almost hitting Takao on the head but it did made him stop.

Apologises with food instead.

Midorima would often scold you when it comes to academic matters. He would help you in your studies, projects, and even offers to proofread your papers. He sometimes feel like he's raising a kid because of you.

You always watch them practice, teasing how he looks like a carrot from time to time, earning a death glare from him. Takao loves to ruffle your hair making you slightly annoyed. You're not just there to watch them practice when there are other members who are good looking as well.

"No."

"BUT SHIN-NII! PLEASE! PRETTY PLEASE!" You begged but Midorima is not that easy to persuade especially when you, out of all people, are asking him to set you up on a date with his former teammate, Kise Ryouta.

You sighed, giving up on him and faced Takao who just stuck his tongue out.

Oh, you'll get his number for sure.

THEY ARE VERY PROTECTIVE! Glares at people who stares at you for too long or at people who seems touchy or at people you confessed that you have a crush with.

You were the type who had many different crushes. In your defense, you just have too much love to give away.

Midorima could let it slide if you had a crush in Akashi or at Murasakibara even! But Kise? Kise Ryouta? Unacceptable.

"What do you see in him?" You would always defend Kise, going to all their games just to talk to him and of course support the two.

Midorima and Takao had a silent agreement to keep you away from Kise at all times.

You are just precious to them and they care about you a lot. They don't want you to get hurt but they know if you ever date, they need to respect your decision.

So when Kise and you begin to go out, Midorima gave you the talk while Takao cried saying how you grew too fast and how he wants a girlfriend too.

You assured that they are still the number one in their heart!

They are always one call away. One time, you went out to buy snacks at the nearest store and you felt like you were being followed. You immediately call them both, crying. Your sobs was all it took for Takao to pedal the rickshaw like his life depended on it. Takao hugged you immediately and escort you home. Midorima kept silent and waited for you to calm down enough before giving a lecture about it.

They always made sure that you have atleast one of them to accompany you during your late night snack journey.

"SHIN-NII! COME ON I WANT RAMEN!"

"At 1 AM?"

"Yes."

"What do I do with you nanodayo?"

You are their happy pill and strength, you comfort them during their loss and rejoice in their victory. You are happy to have friends like Midorima and Shintaro, even if they are more overbearing than your mom and dad.

Anime Recs

Been wanting to do this to keep track of my fave animes. I don’t know how long the list will be but well...

NUMBER 1: INUYASHA - always my number one anime. I’ve been watching this since I was in 4th grade and I just couldn’t get enough of Sesshomaru and I am a faithful shipper of SessKag because of THIS fic. The downside is, Kagome gets annoying sometimes. Also, the OST, OP, and ED are the fucking best.

NUMBER 2: BASILISK THE KOGA NINJA SCROLLS - how I love this anime. Full of action plus the struggles of Oboro and Gennosuke are so heartfelt. Very much recommended.

NUMBER 3: RANMA 1/2 - A classic from the same maker of Inuyasha.

NUMBER 4: FUSHIGI YUUGI (MYSTERIOUS PLAY) - Aaaah, this one is also a classic. A harem anime with lots of hot bois vying for the attention of Miaka. Miaka is not my favorite in here coz she’s annoying but the whole story, the side characters’ development, and backstories are so heartbreaking. Also, the OST is awesome.

NUMBER 5: LOVELY COMPLEX - BEST. SHOUJO. ANIME. EVER.

NUMBER 6: PRINCE OF TENNIS - Once you get into this fandom, you can never turn back. LOL on me. But seriously, this anime got me into gay ships.

NUMBER 7: SLAM DUNK - Another sports anime classic.

NUMBER 8: SAIUNKOKU MONOGATARI (COLOR CLOUD PALACE) - Ah, this one. Another harem anime but it is full of insights and girl power. The characters are well developed as well as their inner struggles and backstories are heart-wrenching.

NUMBER 9: KUROKO NO BASUKE (KUROKO’S BASKETBALL) - Another sports anime and hot rainbow bois.

NUMBER 10: MO DAO ZU SHI (THE GRANDMASTER OF DEMONIC CULTIVATION) - This is actually a donghua (Chinese anime) and I am fairly new to the fandom but I just can’t help to bring it to my top ten because this is so awesome. Hot guys? Check. Action? Check. Drama? Check. CANON SHIP? FUCKING CHECK.

“We are VORPAL SWORDS” Lyrics and Translation with Singing Parts

OMG I’m alive what.

I know I decided to translate this a long time ago, but work and life have been keeping me from taking the time to do it. But finally it’s done! I know there are already romaji lyrics out there but I just included them to make it easier to distinguish who’s singing which part.

Disclaimer: I do not own Kuroko no Basuke in any way. All work rights and song rights belong to Fujimaki Tadatoshi and Lantis.

Notes: -I’ve included two versions of the English translation: one with singing parts and one that’s just a straightforward translation. -Singing parts are distinguished by their jersey numbers -The CD did not officially indicate who sings what, so the singing parts are all based on my hearing after blasting the song in my headphones a million times. -Feel free to use my translation but please credit.
