Guys, if you weren't aware Billy Kametz the voice actor passed away from colon cancer.

I...I don't know how to else to say it but his death is hitting me pretty hard, especially when I've lost many family members to cancer.

I really am crushed.

I'm gonna donate to the fund Jinnie McManus put up because I cannot start crying on my way to work.

Billy, you were my favorite. You were spectacular and talented and from the stories and tributes people are saying you lit up any room you walked into. I only wished I got be comforted by your light when I got the chance to meet you at a convention one day. You made me smile, laugh, and cry. A truly kind soul like I always imagined.

The world seemed without it's usual hues of color as grey clouds filled the sky, The Sun dimmed and it's warmth blocked

Footsteps crunched the grass below as rain drops fell onto the leaves of the surrounding trees... The drops multiplying as it began to rain but the three figures didn't mind one bit

They all approached a grave made between the three as they all gently sat on their knees, A certain lamp set down in front of the grave

Hearts were heavy on this day and may remain that way for a while... Yet it will be learned that it's okay to take time to mourn, remember... but never forget...

Hey, have you heard? Akira Toriyama passed away. I know you're not fond of shonen yourself, but I assume that Dragonball and etcetera have been major influences on your life. I remember you talking about it at one point once.

As a latin american, totally. DragonBall is like a sacred religion 'round these parts!

I used to watch the anime with my dad when I was a wee little bab. I'd be mesmerized at the fights and transformations, laugh my butt off at the humorous bits, be deathly afraid of the villains (specially Cell), and to cherish the moments of peace and calm with family and friends.

My Twitter feed is clogged with condolences and tributes for him. That's just how powerful and influential he was as an artist. I swear, if it weren't for him, Sonic the Hedgehog would've never been born.

And as much as I hate to admit it, we wouldn't have had Steven Universe, either.

Not to mention the fact that Sun Wukong shares the same VA with Son Goku in LEGO Monkie Kid, too. They understood the assignment.

And that's just the tip of the iceberg here. There's still a whole lot more.

Besides DragonBall, my favorite Tori's misc. works are Dr. Slump (the wacky and cartoony adventures of an android girl and her kooky scientist "father"), Go! Go! Ackman (a demon assassin who awakens from his deep slumber to collect human souls), and Apple Pop (an adorable puppet show about a family of wolves).

But I guess that's how things are. As much as we want to, we can't live forever. Toriyama is in a much better place now, and the best we can do is to cherish his artistic legacy, now more than ever before. It's what he would've wanted, after all. To tackle life with the same energy as Goku. And I'll try to do the same.

It took half the night but I FINALLY finished season 4 (again) but in English!

It was amazing! The voice acting was incredible as always, the tribute to Billy kametz made me cry, and just, AAAAA-

Also, it seems that macaque does have a new voice actor, Alejandro Saab. I didn't even realize it until I saw the end credits in episode 9 and 10.

Anyways, just wanted to share my thoughts. Can't wait for more MONKIE KID!!!!

Toriyama had such a big and obvious impact on Lego Monkie Kid. Sun Wukong is voiced by Goku's voice actor. Azure Lion was voiced by Vegeta's voice actor. We have "Yamcha poses". The Dragon Balls made an appearance in an episode. And SO much more.

I'll post it on here too. It'll be my last post for the next week or two because I want it to stand alone for a bit. It's special.

Completely random thing but Lego announced a new racing game and I spent most of the reveal trailer hoping for any signs of a Lego Racers tribute. Walked away from it a little disappointed, but went looking on their site for more information anyway; ended up in the online Lego store, and

man, am I weird for being bothered by it, or are too many of their sets marketing for something else these days? Like, I can remember a time when they had something space-themed (Life On Mars in my case), Bionicle (of course I'd mention that one), something dinosaur-themed, usually a medieval brand (Knights' Kingdom), some Not Indiana Jones set or another about modern-day exploration of strange and far-off lands (I'd count Atlantis as one of these, even if that one came much later), and not a single one of those was licensed. Now if you want medieval stuff, you've got maybe one or two options running at a couple hundred bucks, for the serious adults I guess; if you want something space-themed, there's Guardians of the Galaxy and Star Wars; all queries on dinosaurs get redirected to Jurassic World; Not Indiana Jones is just...Indiana Jones; it feels utterly bereft of the creativity I used to love Lego for.

Even their "Creator" line isn't original works, so much as like...making a car. making a rabbit. Just replicating things that already exist. It's...fantastically bland in the spaces Lego still calls its own, barring maybe Ninjago and Monkie Kid which are still, at the end of the day, guilty of being marketing vessels - just for Lego's own TV shows, instead of someone else's movies.

Just bugs the hell out of me. Probably will forever.
