Seeing Red - Capítulo 31 - De olhos fechados

- Algumas coisas. - Respondeu quando percebeu que estava em silêncio por tempo demais. Blake tinha o olhar suave, mais preocupado do que antes, mas cheio de amor, carinho e aceitação. Ela se aproximou, apanhando os pratos das mãos de Yang e acenando para que a acompanhasse. Enquanto iam para a sala, Yang continuou falando: - Estava tudo bem lá no MC hoje cedo, então Nora apareceu com uma mensagem da Neon e…

Yang se interrompeu. Percebendo como a expressão de Blake fechou. Elas ainda não tinham falado sobre Neon e o que ela representou para Yang durante os oito anos que se passaram sem a Belladonna. Com toda a tensão que se instalou, Yang assistiu como Blake continuou agindo com tranquilidade, colocando os pratos em cima da mesa de centro, afastando os papéis do sofá e batendo nele para que ela sentasse.

- E então? - Blake acenou para ela continuar falando, apanhou um pãozinho salgado e mordeu. O clima tinha mudado, claramente, mas Yang não sentiu hostilidade ou intranquilidade, apenas algo que ainda não tinha sido conversado. Mas, Blake não parecia querer falar disso agora e, sim, sobre o que estava incomodando Yang. Ela soltou um ‘hmmm’ enquanto mastigava. - Esse deve ser o melhor que já fez.

Fazendo o que ela lhe pediu, Yang sentou, apanhou um pãozinho salgado, virando-o entre os dedos, admirando o trabalho. Concordava com Blake, era o mais bonito que já fez, mas não sentia fome para comer um desses agora. O colocou de volta no prato e recostou no sofá.

- Você com certeza conhece Roman Torchwick. - Yang olhou para Blake, recebendo um olhar preocupado e um aceno. Suspirando pesadamente, continuou: - Não sei se você sabe, mas Neon ajuda umas garotas a terem empregos, lhe dá um teto, salário digno. Ela dá para essas meninas tudo que precisam para continuar vivendo de forma honesta. Porém, é normal que algumas desviem desse caminho para irem atrás de mais dinheiro ou drogas. Não é sempre que acontece, mas quando acontece… normalmente a culpa é do Torchwick.

- Torchwick pegou uma das garotas dela. Por isso que ela foi atrás de vocês? - Blake perguntou, esperta como sempre. Yang tentou não sorrir, mas o fez minimamente. Não virou para olhá-la, mas, com o canto do olho, a viu pegar mais um pãozinho. Doce, dessa vez.

Jaune: *slowly gets up off the floor* 😔 Yes, ma’am…

Weiss: *Smugly struts back to her seat* I’m sorry, Jaune, but you’ll have to try harder than that to defeat a Schnee!

Jaune: *slumps into his seat* 😞

Pyrrha: Well, I think you’ve improved quite a bit, Jaune! Weiss is a strong opponent!

Nora: Yeah, fearless leader! You’re getting better!

Ren: She’s right, you know. You wore Weiss down quite a bit before she caught you with the dust explosion.

Jaune: Thanks, guys! You always know how to help me feel better. 🥹

Nora: …and besides, you’ve gotten to suck her celebrity crush’s tits!

RWBY: *chokes*

Jaune/Pyrrha: *neon red* NORA!!

Ren: 🤦

Everyone else: 😯

Glynda: MISS VALKYRIE!!!

Nora: See you later at detention, ma’am! I’m not sorry! 😁

Neon Sorrow

Vacuo may have been nothing but dust and orange hue, however, that didn’t stop its night clubs from pumping the bass past the witching hour.

Mostly young adults drowning their pain in bourbon, or tearing up the dance floor with their partners.

The cheering and blaring songs could be heard all the way from Shade Academy. Conveniently, the school itself engineered most of the establishment’s regulars.

Not Jaune, though.

While teams RWBY and RENO celebrated, he sat at the bar, studying his drink with an unreadable stare.

Another round of pulsing bass and flickering spotlights made him flinch, involuntarily recoiling and spilling the golden beverage.

His eyes narrowed.

The glass absorbed neon shades flashing and sweeping the club. An image of jaded, dull blue orbs stared back. He scowled at the other person stealing his features.

A group of men, laughing boisterously, chose their spots next to him.

He kept them in his peripheral before tossing down some change on the bar.

Beckoning him, a dark corner lay seductively, away and isolated.

He promptly stood and walked. A curious gaze followed.

Acting as a sort of phantom, he leaned back against the wall, arms crossed, shadows covering his face.

Glimpses of yellow, black, orange, red, brown, pink and green on the dance floor between shifting bodies.

Here, separated and alone, he felt comfortable and softly sighed in relief.

Occasionally, he observed the exit and how inviting the fresh chill of night seemed compared to the suffocating humidity of this hellscape.

It smelled like sweat, alcohol and drugs. An inner prisoner beat against his skull.

Why is he even here? Why should he stay? For his friends? To satisfy their constant worries of his wellbeing?

He wanted to tell them he was fine and receive nothing more, but they never quit.

His scroll rang in his pocket. Begrudgingly, he unearthed it, ignoring a legion of unread texts and unanswered calls.

Weiss: ‘Where are you?’

His gloved hand paused over the keyboard. Once more, he glanced at his friends sway in casual wear. Questionable, in Yang’s case.

Jaune: ‘Still here.’

His inhale of polluted oxygen was deep. It honestly hurt more than it should have.

Weiss: ‘But where?’

An alarm sounded. His heart hastened.

Nevertheless, he couldn’t bring himself to answer.

So he didn’t.

That’s when the ugliest familiarity stepped out of his negative thoughts and into real life.

?: “Is that my old buddy, Jaune?”

Now he definitely wanted to leave.

Flanking his right, another revolting expression.

Cardin: “You look different, man. Why are ya hidin’ in the corner? Not like you to be afraid of a dance.”

The Arc’s blood boiled. His signature restraint and calmness degraded.

Jaune: “Fuck. off.” He hissed.

Cardin grinned, feinting shock and hurt.

Russel: “Still an asshole, apparently.”

Jaune regarded him with an evil glare.

Cardin: “Woah, ok dude, uncalled for. I was just trying to make conversation. It’s been a long time. I can’t catch up with a fellow huntsman?”

Winchester puffed out his chest, displaying a white badge showcasing title and official status.

Jaune: “Not a big fan of you’re type of reunion.”

Cardin: “Oh, c’mon. A hug, maybe pat on the back?” He smirked, spreading his longs arms.

Jaune: “Looking for validation or attention?”

Cardin: “I’m looking for a good time… Arc.” He enunciated sharply.

Jaune: “I’m not, so get the hell out of the way.” He threatened as he barged into Cardin’s shoulder and paced to the door.

Wearing an expression of smugness, Cardin slowly turned.

Cardin: “I was gonna ask for your permission.”

Jaune: “What, you need help wiping your own ass?” He answered, stuck on the exit.

Cardin: “That’s good, that’s good. He’s a funny guy, funny guy. No, more like for a dance partner. You wouldn’t mind if I took Schnee for a ride, right?”

Jaune paused abruptly. Cardin’s enthusiasm billowed.

Cardin: “Hook a fellow up, yeah? I mean, she’s gorgeous. I’d really like to see her tear up the dance floor, if you catch my drift.”

He wished he hadn’t met their arrogant faces, but Winchester stoked a fire he wanted to stamp out.

Cardin: “See if she’s really as cold as people say she is.” He glanced beyond the knight.

Jaune caught his quick check. He looked up where a strip of metal revealed two figures stalking him.

Cardin: “I don’t know, always had a thing for long hair and heels. Kinda reminds me of a certain redhead, now that I think about it.”

It was at this point where Jaune’s fingers twitched, trying to wrap around a non-existent weapon.

Slowly, more bystanders stopped dancing and watched the escalating hostility. A crowd was forming.

Cardin: “Oh, my bad. Still a fresh wound, huh?”

Russel left Cardin’s side and approached. His shit-eating grin and lax sway ignited the fire in Jaune’s chest.

Russel: “Why don’t you let this one slide?”

The instant Russel’s hand rested on his shoulder, Jaune grabbed him, slammed his palm against his elbow, bending it unnaturally, and slugged the idiot across the face so hard, he crashed into the bar.

There was a sudden yell of surprise, gauging the hit in the crowd. Quickly, it turned to chants pouring oil on an inferno.

Jaune ducked the swing he knew was coming and flipped Sky over his back. Dove lunged with blurry speed. His fists flew fast, but Jaune broke his offensive with his forearms.

Dove’s leg launched at his mid-section. Jaune shifted, catching it and swept him off his remaining foot.

He prepared to hammer his fist upon his skull, but he was tackled.

Winchester and Arc rolled. However, the bully was ejected backwards as they tumbled.

Utilizing his momentum, Jaune shot to a defensive stance, intercepting Sky’s fist. He twisted the goon’s arm back, earning a cry of pain, and wrapped his hand around Sky’s face, violently slamming him through a table. Beer and splinters flew everywhere.

Affording no respite, Cardin and Dove attacked relentlessly. Jaune was pressed to the back foot, and retreated as he dodged and ducked.

Dove overextended, allowing the knight to side-step his attack and put a body in between him and Winchester.

He planted his fist into Dove’s ribs and knocked him cold with metal knuckles to the side of the brain.

He folded like a rag doll.

Cardin, with uncanny agility, rushed Jaune and grabbed him by the neck, lifting him high and slamming him against the bar.

The bully’s iron grip worked to crush Jaune’s jugular.

And as his vision faded and neon smeared over grey walls, he rocketed his knee upwards. Cardin howled from testicular trauma.

A swift one-two against Cardin’s temple, then a bone shattering blow to the stomach.

Unfortunately, Cardin’s aura only sparked. Jaune’s eyes widened.

The arrogant brute, ardently advertising shocking nimbleness, bashed Jaune with a backhand.

Stumbling from the raw weight behind the attack, Jaune dazed. Winchester grabbed his shoulders and planted his skull against the Arc’s temple.

Blood flowed free while he struggled to keep himself standing.

Barely, he avoided a fatal punch and the following series.

Jaune steadily backpedaled until the bar was no longer restraining his movements.

Missed opportunities piled on top of one another. Cardin roared in rage as Jaune expertly weaved in and out of his range.

Cardin: “You should’ve fucking died at Beacon!”

Right there and then…

He lost.

Seething anger clouded Cardin’s gaze. With 100% strength backing his swing, Jaune would surely die instantly or suffer a seizure so extreme he was bound to perish minutes later.

But, he dropped below him and spun. Cardin was off his feet and on the ground. Before he could register it, Jaune was there pummeling into him.

Each punch packed larger reserved energy than previous ones.

Eventually, the fight had been won, but Jaune kept going.

Bone crunched, blood coated his hands and face.

Flashing images played. Pyrrha between locker bars, Cinder’s infuriating smirk, Weiss dying on the floor, the feeling of his sword slipping past Penny’s flesh and into her heart, and the crushing, indomitable, unbearable loneliness of that damn fairytale.

Jaune wore rage well. Too well.

He couldn’t hear the bass or synths anymore. Same can’t be said for ear-splitting ringing.

A set of cold hands pulled on his shoulders. He whirled fast enough to induce tremendous whiplash…

…

Only to see horrified icy sapphires.

The world returned to him. No longer did the people cheer and yell. The dead silence led him to believe he’d hear the sound of lapping waves, or a sudden explosion of fire.

Weiss: “Jaune.”

What hurt most, was how she looked at him. Like… like he was some kind of demon.

The girl who picked him up after the Pleasers. The woman who shouldered his burden. The huntress he couldn’t stop thinking about; restless at night.

The only person who made him feel…

Wanted…

He tore from her gaze, examining the damage he had caused.

Cardin’s face was mangled. Nose cracked, forehead cut open, and jaw broken beyond repair. He was barely breathing.

Dove lay flat in a growing pool of blood.

Sky struggled to lift himself from the ground. Red poured from his mouth and nose.

Beyond the bar, two employees carried a screaming Russel. A bone protruded through his arm.

Weiss: “Jaune.” She muttered.

He darted to his feet, backing away. RENO watched in pure disbelief. RWBY mimicked that.

Weiss held out her arms, trying to calm him with a delicate voice.

Instead, he ran.

Blowing open the doors and into the night.

Indeed, the air was refreshing.

Weiss: “Jaune!”

Her calls grew distant.

Sirens drew closer.

Here's a thing though, because CRWBY loves doing things off-screen. Neo and Cinder did have to travel for some time together and Cinder did speak to Neo in the Vault of the Spring Maiden. They could've exchanged information and she found out about certain things, especially with regards to Salem.

But there's also the fact that Cinder and Neo binded their time in Atlas, waiting for the perfect moment to be able to nab the relic and how to locate the Winter Maiden. I know this banks on Cinder being a competent villainess but she was in V3. Neo is perfect for information gathering, she can choose to be any one who was around Ruby in the background, watching and waiting but also seeing if there were weaknesses she could exploit to make her suffer. Neo could've learned about how close Penny and Ruby by pretending to be some nobody in the background with the aid of her semblance. Headmaster Ozpin, Lionheart and Clover didn't need to be there, no, for the beat down little red got. But man, do I wish that it was something close to Ruby that'd throw the facts at her, that they made mistakes, they were hypocrites and made things worse. Atlas and Mantle are GONE. They almost cost Argus everything with their plane stealing stunt. Salem now has 2 relics in her possession instead of neither. Just someone should've been able to deliver that to Ruby without getting shut down or pushed into submitting to WBY getting all defensive. It's aggravating that RWBY keeps getting away with things one way or another, can't have Ruby get told off by an ally, noooooo, has to be a villain so anyone can dismiss their (very) on point accusations of her character. Wow, I didn't mean to rant so much....

Never feel bad about ranting, anon! I do it plenty lol.

But yeah, full-on agree. That remains my biggest problem with this scene (well, besides the suicide aspect) and why I can't really join in so many other fans' satisfaction at someone calling out Ruby. Because she's not being called out, she's being tortured. The story has taken things that Ruby is at least partially responsible for and framed it so that she comes out looking like the unequivocal victim. Instead of someone trustworthy figuratively knocking some sense into her head (like Qrow, May, or Ren), she's literally getting knocked around by a villain whose ultimately goal is to have her die. There is no version of RWBY in which Ruby comes out of this having learned anything other than her guilt and second-guessing being ~evil~ things that must be defeated. Qrow is threatened into submission. May changes her tune off screen. Ren is ignored until he falls in line. Yang dismisses Ruby and compares her to Ironwood the moment she expresses doubt. And Ruby herself has had those feelings now equated with suicide. If the end result of her going, "Let's stop pretending we know what we're doing" at the start of the Volume is for her to kill herself over that failure, then the message is pretty clearly, "That's a bad thing to believe and Ruby need to improve her mental health by remembering that she's a True Hero who has made the good decisions and shouldn't be doubting her own righteous worth."

By taking Ruby to this extreme the MOMENT she started to question their very questionable choices, the show has written in neon lights what they think of these criticisms. I mean, we knew it already - we've known since Volume 5 - but it really is something else to say, "Ruby's horrific actions aren't something for her to grapple with and learn from, they're the catalyst for suicide and the tools of a villain." Someone else made this comparison already, but the way this is written brings to mind people who have exaggerated, undeserved reactions to someone bringing up legitimate criticism, to the point where suddenly the conversation is about comforting them and ensuring they're safe, rather than actually addressing what they've done wrong. The story has finally gone, "Hey, you did things wrong" and even beyond the fact that this has come from a villain, Ruby has such an EXTREME reaction to that accusation that you feel like an ass for insisting that she still address the problem post-meltdown. The conversation is no longer about how Ruby's arrogance has caused great harm to Remnant, it's about how these things need to be denied/buried/ret-conned/whatever because otherwise she will kill herself.

See? Plenty of ranting XD. On a more positive note, I LOVE that idea, anon. If RWBY really was "planned from the beginning" and we still had to have this encounter, it would have been cool to see a Volumes-long reveal that Neo has been stalking Ruby ever since she left Beacon. She uses her clones to bring up all her mistakes, her failures, intimate moments she'll never repeat because that friend is dead now, and alongside her grief Ruby is downright shocked at the knowledge. How do you know all this? And Neo uses her op semblance to reveal all the background characters that she - and the viewer - had no idea were really her, listening in, biding her time, gathering intel until she could finally use it all to break her.

I’ve taken some time to gather my thoughts, and I’m sure I’m not going to say anything that anyone else hasn’t already said, but I figured I’d share my thoughts nonetheless, because were a community, and that means we care about each other.

I was introduced to Rooster Teeth near the end of middle school, by the same friend who introduced me to Neon Genesis Evangelion, and forever changed the trajectory of my life.

We watch Red Vs Blue season 5 while I was staying the night, and I was absolutely hooked.

I went back and caught up on the rest of the series, and honestly, I think I related to Church way too hard.

Few years passed. I saw they’d put RvB on Netflix, and feeling nostalgic I rewatched it. Out of curiosity, I decided to check out what RT had done after that, only to discover they’d put out SEVEN MORE SEASONS, which I of course immediately binged, like a gluttonous beasty.

It was in the bittersweet aftermath of that binge session that I decided to give RWBY a shot. I’d seen it advertised under RvB playlists, and out of desperation for more of anything like RvB, I decided to give the Red Trailer a shot.

Now this was during the hiatus between Volume 2 and Volume 3, shortly after Monty’s passing, and in those days I was nowhere near as online as I am now, but RWBY is definitely a huge part of why I am online. I tore through the first two Volumes. I started making fanart, I tried to introduce my friends to the show. I desperately googled any information I could find about when Volume 3 would be coming out (this is when I learned about Monty’s passing, and his impact on some of my favorite moments in RvB).

When V3 was announced, I immediately subscribed to RT first. And have been following RWBY ever since. I watched each episode as it came out, I would binge the entire series (some times multiple times) before a new volume came out. I joind RP servers, I created oc’s, I created a LOT of fanart. I have a yearly tradition of drawing a Ruby Rose piece just to check my progress as an artist. Just last year I started writing fanfic. I’ve got a bit of merch. I love RWBY. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve kept up with RvB pretty well, and I watched a bit of Camp Camp and Gen:Lock, but RWBY is my shit.

I know a lot of people are sad, scared, and confused right now. I know I was when I found out yesterday. I didn’t exactly keep up with the nitty-gritty of what was happening with RT as a studio, and a lot of the projects didn’t really strike my fancy, but there were a lot of things I adored from RT. I’m sad to see them closing their doors, and I’m just as desperate for information as the rest of you.

But we’re a community, and that means we care about each other.

I care about you.

I don’t care who you ship with who, I don’t care if you hate my favorite character, or what head canons you have for which characters. I care about you, and I’m glad you’ve been a part of this community for as long as you have been. I’m glad to have known you, even remotely. I’m glad to have seen your fanart, or gotten mad at your hot takes, or laughed at your incorrect quotes. I’m glad we’ve been a community.

This isn’t a declaration of defeat. I don’t know the future of RWBY any better than the rest of you do.

This is an acknowledgment, and an expression of gratitude. CRWBY may have made the series, but you all made this community. As much as it can sometimes be a dumpster fire, you make me proud to be a part of the FNDM.

So, I guess… thanks.

Fun Drinking Game!

To say that Ruby didn't want to be here would be an understatement.

"Come on guys, let's have a drinking game. It will be fun!" Came the voice of Neon and a chorus of 'sure' and 'okay' rang out amongst the group, which consisted of Team RWBY, FNKI, Ren, Nora, and Fiona.

Yeah, Ruby really really didn't wanna be here, but nonetheless here she was.

"You down to play Rubes?" Asked Yang, and Ruby just let out a shrug, not wanting to be a party pooper.

"So what's the game?" Neptune asked an arm draped around Weiss as Neon smirked.

"I never" She said.

"Oooh daring, huh?" Came Yang with a grin as she elbowed Blake, who kept giving glances of concern to Ruby.

"So how does one play?" Asked Weiss, who cringed at how she sounded.

"One person says 'I never' something, those who have done it takes a shot, and if nobody has done it, the person who said it takes the shot," explained Yang, and everyone nodded.

"Heh, I'll start first...I have never...kissed Neon" Yang said before Blake, Sun, and Weiss took a shot. A few grins came at Weiss way who just glared at Yang for bringing it up.

"I've never...had sex with Neptune," said Neon, and Weiss, Fiona, and Sun took a shot.

"Who was top?" Asked Yang to which a grinning Sun waved his hand.

"I've never had sex at... Weiss mansion, " Sun asked as Yang, Blake, and Neon both slowly and a little embarrassingly took a shot, followed up by the rest of the group, excluding Kobalt.

Weiss looked aghast!

"Y-you all had sex in my home!" Weiss said as she pointed accusingly at everyone.

"Christmas party," Yang admitted, earning a few nods from the group.

"Those beds of yours are really nice!" Fiona said with a red face.

"Not my beds-and you! What about you!" Weiss asked, pointing to Ruby.

"It was a big bed, and I didn't want to -" Ruby stopped herself, not wanting to continue.

"Oh, come on, sis, you can't just stop their!" Yang teased, and Ruby just shrugged before shaking her head.

"Not telling," and that was that. The game continued on.

"I've never used my semblance in the bedroom," asked Fiona, and all eyes immediately went to Ruby, who just reluctantly poured a shot before downing it quickly before glaring at the bottle, Blake took a shot as well.

"In my bed-i was wondering where those ROSE PETALS were coming from," said Weiss comically as Neptune just chuckled.

"Clones must have been very hot." Came the surprising comment from Fiona as Ruby glare increased as she looked at everyone before pouring herself another glass.

"I've never been married." She spat out with contempt as she downed the glass, followed by the majority of the group.

"I've never been romantically involved with a teammate." Commented Blake, Only Fiona didn't down a shot, but the main focus was on Ruby.

"I've never had sex with Jaune." Came Yang quietly as Ruby was the only one to down the shot as Blake, Ren, and Nora looked at Ruby with sad eyes. "w-why didn't you tell us?" Asked Yang.

Ruby just shook her head and reached for the bottle one more time before filling up the shot glass once more before sitting down.

"I'll tell you this then...I've never had my fiance sacrifice his soul for the world" She said solemnly before downing the shot and getting up from her seat at the table and walked away.

"Ruby! Wait!" Came the reply from Yang who chased after her sister leaving the rest of the group alone with their thoughts.

"Well fuck" Came Neon as Ren and Nora got up to follow behind Yang. The rest of the group muttered in agreement.

Some Crack

AN: I haven’t wrote any crack in a while.

“Well fuuuuuck, you too!” Jaune yells into his scroll, as he storms around the room knocking down anything on the shelves.

Nora and Pyrrha hide under the bed holding each other, while Ren is on-top of the bed in a pillow fort.

“Pssst~, Pyrrha!” Nora yells into Pyrrha’s elbow.

“Yes?” Pyrrha asks, with her head on top of Nora, petting the smaller red-head.

“What’s Jaune mad about?”

Crash!

A book shelf topples over, spilling out Nora’s collection of syrups.

“You harpy-ious whore!” Jaune kicks the bookshelf out of his way. The words, dick and fox and cream cheese come out of the phone, but and not necessary in that order, Jaune screams back into the scroll. “I will rip out your trachea and rub sandpaper through it, bitch!”

Pyrrha shivers. “I don’t know, but I find it kinda hot!”

Nora’s head looks down at her now wet legs. “I kinda noticed.” She taps the top of the bed. “Ren?”

“Who disturbs the Wizard of the Cloud-Pillow Fortress?” Ren answers, as a piece of the bed slides back, showing Ren’s eyes.

“Nora. Me. I disturb you.”

A boot goes flying through the wall.

Followed by a wall flying through the wall.

Replacing the back wall with the front wall, leaving a open entrance into the hallway, where everybody could see what was going on. If they were going through the hallway, which Dr. Oobleck was, who merely looked on in horror before running away.

“And we both knew that I was faking it!” Jaune bellowed into his scroll, with the sounds of sobbing coming out of it. “Say it again! I double dragon dare you to say that about by cinnamon apple muffins! ... How dare you!” Jaune eyes start to water.

“Ren, who’s Jaune talking too?”

“I dunno.”

Blake peeps through the opening too.

Much to Ren’s surprise.

“How long have you been in here? Wait how did you get in here?”

Blake looks at Ren with maximum dilated pupils. “If I fitz, I sitz.”

“If we fitz we sitz!” Chimes in several other cat Faunus, including Sienna, Neon, and Kali, who almost now were inside the pillow fort.

“Ahh!” Ren yelps and hides under the bed with Nora and Pyrrha. “Why is it so wet down here?”

Jaune kicks open team RWBY’s door, storming in and knocking over the bunk beds and anything on the walls. “Why are you like this! We could have shined like diamond and twinkies together! But, NNOOOOOOO! You had to be a smelly pirate mobster!

Blake slaps a sign on the pillow fort reading, ‘Kitty Faunus only!’ Sun, Adam, and Ghira look disappointedly at before wandering off to go get drunk together.

Ren begins mobbing under the bed, with Pyrrha and Nora hiding on Jaune’s bed now, surprised to find the remaining members of team RWBY hiding there already, with Cinder’s team hiding underneath.

Nora looks disappointingly. “Dang it.”

Ruby looks smugly at them, holding a Jaune dakimakura. “You snooze you loose. Anyway, why’s Jaune so mad?”

Jaune had wandered into the courtyard, and flipped a station wagon that was parked next to the fountain.

Peter Port looks at his wrecked car, a single tear rolling down his cheek.

Weiss blushes. “It’s kinda hot, though.”

Pyrrha opens her mouth to agree, but Nora covers it with her hand. “We know, anyway, no idea.”

Jaune walks up the side of Ozpins tower, the Wizard standing protectively in-front of his coffee maker.

“I want my son back, Jennifer! I will win the custody battle, you mad-woman!”

A look of understanding hits the assembled hunters and villains.

“Wait, he has a son!?” Ruby says with shock.

“He was married!?“ Pyrrha asks.

“So, that means he’s single, right?” Cinder realizes smugly.

Everyone looks at her, disappointingly.

“What, not like the rest of you weren’t thinking it!”

Then they all look away whistling, innocently.

“And, I’ve finally cleaned up that stain.” Ren nods to himself.

Jaune walks back in. “Guys, can I ask you one of you act as witness of my moral character in court?”

They look around the batter, broken, and beaten room, like a hurricane had gone through it.

Sun, Adam, and Ghira reappear. “We will do it!”

And so the four of them left, as brothers!
