Genre: fluff / suggestive ig
Summary: Ever since Nesta met you, her cold heart warmed for you until it melted into a mushy puddle of affection. Especially, when her baby is feeling sleepy…
A/n: wrote this for a very special girl’s birthday. Happy birthday @redbleedingrose, I love you 💋
Tumblr media
“C’mer, baby. Let mommy hold you.”
Nesta smiled softly at you, and tilted her head as her arms opened for you to curl into. It only took moments before you were paddling across the library and crawling into her lap like she requested. A loving glimmer in her eye caught your attention as you laid your head on her breast.
“You’re so pretty, my lovely girl, such a beautiful baby I have.” She cooed at you, placing her hand on your cheek and softly stroking the skin with a small smile on her lips.
“Thank you, mommy.” You replied to her compliment before turning your head and kissing her palm affectionately.
The action caused her heart to warm, and a grin to spread on her flushed cheeks. Her eyes fell on your lips, making her breath hitch with all of the things she would rather have those pretty lips do than stay empty.
Her thumb swiped your bottom lip gently, picturing how they would look with a pert nipple between them, preferably her’s and soon because they ached for your warm, wet mouth. Sure, you did this already this morning but she wanted it now as well. She couldn’t help her desires, you just looked so pretty suckling happily on her tits.
Without a second thought, she was already tugging down the neck of her dress and freed her breast for you, revealing her hard rosy bud awaiting your mouth to welcome it.
You blinked slowly as you mindlessly began to reach for it, licking the bud once before enveloping it into your mouth and sucking softly. Although this was very enjoyable for her, it was like euphoria for you to be wrapped in her arms and nursed like her good little girl.
A satisfied moan left her lips as your tongue flicked over her nipple softly and your cheeks hollowed.
“Just like that.” She encouraged. “You look so pretty feeding off mommy, sweetheart.”
Your eyes fluttered shut, falling sleepy like usual, and Nesta took it upon her to start humming you to sleep now but not before kissing your forehead gingerly as a wordless confession of her love and adoration for you.
Acts like this weren’t uncommon with Nesta given she was no good at expressing her feelings, even with you. Yet every time she did, it caused your belly to warm uncontrollably and your heart to slow calmly. She may not be good with words, but at least she’s trying to get used to the affection thing, and she’s doing such a good job at it for someone who lacked it her whole human life.
She believes it’s because of you. From the moment she met you, she knew you were pure and so full of good that her poison could never, and would never, touch you as long as she could help it. It was difficult, especially on the days when you decided to be a merciless brat, but she managed to do just fine with you. At least, you thought so anyhow.
When your sucking gradually slowed to a consistent and calm rhythm and your breathing slowed against her skin, the Valkyrie stroked your cheek with a feather touch one last time, appreciating your sleeping beauty for a long moment to herself before picking her book back up and resumed reading her novel.

wings
Pairing: Azriel x fem reader, IC (platonic) x reader
Word Count: 3.1K
Warnings: 18+, smut, P in V, lots of fluff
Summary: Who would've thought that your found family would be so captivated by your hidden wings? As they reminisce about their first glimpses of your ethereal secret, you realise just how cherished and adored you truly are.
Tumblr media
"I distinctly remember," Mor began, her voice filled with excitement, drawing not only your attention from the comforting cocoon of Azriel's arms, but also the rooms. She sat opposite you, a slight mischief twinkling in her eyes as she leaned forward.
You were all nestled in one of the many living rooms at the House of Wind.
Under the flickering faelight, you sat beside Azriel– your mate. His large presence ever the comfort, as he enveloped you in his arms. His fingers, tracing intricate patterns through your hair, each touch sending ripples of relaxation through your body.
If it weren't for the loudness of your friends and family, their remarks not failing to echo through the room, Azriel’s touch alone could have lulled you into a blissful slumber.
"It was a surprise for sure," Feyre chimed in, a playful smirk dancing across her lips as she glanced over at your slightly confused expression. Sensing your distraction, Azriel reluctantly released his hold on you, joining the conversation with a gentle touch of his hand settling on the small of your back.
"My experience was quite a shock," Cassian added with a grin.
“Mine, I have to say is one I’d like to forget” Rhys grimaced as Feyre gave him an annoyed knowing look.
Amren, rolled her eyes at her family's theatrics. "You all make such a big deal out of everything," she remarked, her tone dry.
Your brows furrowed as you pieced together the fragments of the conversation, realisation dawning as Mor's words began to paint a vivid picture.
The topic of discussion? The first time they laid eyes on your beautiful wings.
 𓇢𓆸
Mor, Feyre and Nesta.
It was one of Feyre’s first nights out since welcoming Nyx into the world; she’d been dying for a night off. Craving the simple joys of the company of her girlfriends. Sensing her desperation for a night to let loose, you, Mor, and Nesta had taken it upon yourselves to orchestrate the perfect girls night out for your High Lady.
The night quickly unfolded into a flurry of laughter and dancing. Drinks were spilled, songs were sung. Rita’s being your chosen sanctuary for the night. You all let yourselves get lost in the music and infectious energy of the bar. Drinks were flowing freely, and the hours quickly slipped away like grains of sand in an hourglass.
It wasn’t until the sun had started to rise again that you all quickly realised you needed to get home. You’re not sure how in their drunken states, but Mor and Feyre had successfully managed to winnow you all back to River House, all collapsing in a giggling heap in the foyer.
A fit of laughter overtook the group as you stumbled and pushed, trying to untangle yourselves from one another. You managed to push yourself onto unsteady feet, only to trip over Nesta’s dress and stumble back onto Mor. With your balance faltering, a shimmer of magic danced through the air as your wings burst forth, a kaleidoscope of iridescent pink hues unfurling into the air. Your wings, delicate and light, burst with specs of fairy dust that glowed around you.
The room fell silent, the trio frozen in awe at the sight before them. Then, like a spell breaking, laughter bubbled forth, filling the space with joyous echoes. Mor's eyes sparkled with delight as she pulled you into an embrace, Feyre's lips curled into a grin, and even Nesta couldn't help but crack a smile.
"You sneaky thing," Mor teased, reaching out to brush her fingers against the delicate wings "Keeping such beauty hidden away."
“I bet Azriel loves keeping this side of you to himself,” Nesta purred, her voice laced with mischief as something provocative glinted in her eyes.
You responded with a playful stick-out of your tongue at Nesta, before turning your attention to Mor and Feyre, who were now a pair of mesmerised females, giggling like children as they reached out to touch this new part of their friend they had never seen before.
They had always known you had wings, from the type of fae you were, but you had always kept them hidden and they never dared to ask for you to reveal them.
"Hands off!" you exclaimed, your voice a blend of amusement and mock outrage as you swatted and smacked at their approaching fingers, the sound of laughter echoing through the halls.
Of course, they respectfully obeyed your wishes, but there was a warmth that filled their chests as you all stumbled arms wrapped around one another through the house, enjoying a new part of their friend that had been revealed.
 𓇢𓆸
Cassian.
Cassian's mischievous streak knew no bounds, especially when it came to playing pranks on you. He found something undeniably endearing about your reactions, and there was a certain satisfaction when he knew these teasing antics could also annoy Azriel too.
On this particular day, you were busy in the kitchen, practising a cake recipe that Elain had shared with you. Determined to make the perfect cake for Azriel's upcoming birthday, you meticulously measured ingredients, oblivious to the looming presence of your giant friend.
Cassian's eyes twinkled with mischief as he saw his chance to play. With careful grace, he approached, holding his breath before unleashing his voice.
"BOO!" His voice boomed across the room, his figure looming over you with a triumphant grin.
Startled, you spun around in a flurry of flour, heart racing in your chest at the sudden noise. And then, in a moment of surprise, your magic wavered, and your wings unfurled in a burst of ethereal light.
The room fell silent as Cassian's eyes widened in disbelief, laughter fading into awe at the sight before him. "What in the Cauldron," he breathed, barely a whisper, his finger pointing at the delicate appendage. "What are those?"
You fluttered your wings away, annoyance evident in your voice as you retaliated with a playful toss of flour in his direction. "Cassian!" you exclaimed.
"YOU HAVE WINGS!" Cassian's excitement was palpable, his grin spreading from ear to ear.
"Of course I have wings, I'm a fairy," you retorted, arms outstretched in exasperation.
“AZRIEL…YOUR MATE HAS WINGS” he screamed knowing his vibrating voice would find his brother.
Azriel materialised from the shadows, concern evident in his eyes as he approached, brushing away the flour that had settled on your face. His expression shifted to admiration as he took in the sight of your wings shimmering behind you.
"Stop tormenting my mate, Cass," Azriel scolded gently, his protective instincts kicking in as he pulled you into a soft embrace, his lips pressing to the top of your head.
"She has wings!" Cassian exclaimed once more, disbelief colouring his tone. There was a touch of annoyance, as he realised he may have been the only one to not know this about you.
Cassian, like a moth attracted to a light, reached his giant hand out again wanting to get close to the wings that were so unlike his own.
"No touching" Azriel growled, his tone leaving no room for argument. Cassian withdrew his hand, a hint of disappointment flickering across his features as he chewed his lip in an attempt to avoid pouting.
"So does this mean... we can go flying together?" Cassian asked as the revelation came to his mind, excitement bubbling in his voice.
Your brow quirked slightly, a playful glint dancing in your eyes as a small smirk tugged at your lips. Cassian watched you carefully, anticipation written across his features, while Azriel pulled away knowingly.
You nodded slowly, a challenge evident in your gaze. "I’ll race ya," you declared, a thrill of excitement coursing through your veins.
With that, you pushed past Cassian and darted out of the room, your wings fluttering gracefully as you made your way to the nearest balcony. Without hesitation, you leaped off the edge and into the open air, the wind rushing past you as you soared into the night sky.
Cassian was quick to follow, a grin spreading across his face as he embraced the exhilarating freedom of flight. And not far behind him, Azriel joined the fray, his own wings beating with a steady rhythm as he soared through the air.
Together, you three took to the skies, weaving and darting through the night sky.
 𓇢𓆸
Rhys and Nyx.
“And stretch them out…That’s it my boy” Rhys spoke proudly as he watched his son in front of him stretch and extend his wings.
You had found yourself in the company of one of Rhys’ flying lessons, nestled on one of the chaise lounges on the balcony, a book in hand as you half-read, half-watched your High Lord teaching his son how to use his wings.
Nyx, though perhaps still a little too young to fly, was eager to learn. So desperate to be like his father and uncles. With Rhys' guidance, he tentatively stretched out his wings, mimicking his father's movements under the watchful gaze of the night sky.
Rhys, a picture of fatherly pride, stood by Nyx's side, his attention unwavering—until a sudden commotion from inside drew his focus for just a fleeting moment. In that brief lapse of attention, the sudden gust of wind caught Nyx and his perfectly poised wings off guard, sending him teetering towards the edge, a gasp escaping his lips.
Instinct surged through you like a bolt of lightning as your wings burst forth in a flurry of motion, carrying you across the expanse with a grace honed over centuries. With swift precision, you swooped in, catching Nyx in your embrace just as he hovered on the brink of danger.
Wide-eyed and breathless, Nyx looked up at you in awe, his innocent admiration pulling at the strings of your heart. "Pwetty," he murmured, his wonder mirrored in the glow of your own wings, illuminated by the moonlight.
You wasted no time in safely landing back onto the balcony, Rhys rushing to your side with bewilderment and shock etched on his features as a torrent of thank-yous spilled from his lips.
As Nyx pawed at your wings, you carefully fluttered them away from his reach, mindful of their delicate nature. Rhys, after the scare of what had just happened, or almost happened. Took a moment to truly appreciate the sight of your wings— beautiful and light, shimmering a pink glow that was a stark contrast to his own.
His relief was short-lived, however, as it became apparent that Feyre had witnessed the entire ordeal. With a swift scolding, she whisked Nyx from your arms, sending you a silent 'thank you' before retreating inside, cradling her son protectively.
"No flying lessons with Daddy from now on," Feyre scolded directly at her mate before she cooed at her son again. "What would we have done if Auntie Y/N hadn't been here?" she mused aloud, her words lingering in the night air.
Rhys glanced over at you, questions swirling in his head at how you had so quickly been there to rescue their son from danger.
"They may be more delicate than your wings, but I am quicker, swifter, and more agile than you big Illyrian babies will ever be," you teased lightly, your words carrying a hint of playfulness.
"Thank the Cauldron you are," Rhys breathed with a soft smile, his eyes reflecting the depths of his gratitude. You gently patted his shoulder before ushering him inside.
 𓇢𓆸
Azriel.
“Gods you are beautiful” Azriel groaned, sweat beading down his temple as he looked at you. Your own eyes fluttering shut in pleasure as you continued to ride your mate.
You had both finally and officially accepted the mating bond, preparing Azriel’s favourite meal as a gesture of your acceptance. He had eagerly devoured the food, the golden thread connecting you both deeper and stronger than you ever thought possible.
You had felt his emotion rippling towards you that night. There was a sense of overwhelming gratitude, a deep-seated appreciation for finally having someone who understood him in ways no one else ever could. There was a feeling of relief, as if a weight had been lifted from his shoulders, knowing that he had found someone who truly accepted him for who he was.
But above all, there was a profound sense of belonging—a feeling of being chosen, not just as a lover, but as a partner, a confidant, a soulmate.
As the night progressed, things escalated quickly. Your bodies entwined in a passionate frenzy. Finally, after months of yearning and longing, you found yourselves in each other's arms.
You straddled him, your breasts flushed against his hard chest, in an unbreakable embrace as his hands tightly gripped your lower back, moving with you as you rode out a dance of pleasure. His large wings stretched behind him, twitching slightly as a sign of his impending release.
"You feel so perfect, angel," he purred against your neck, peppering it with soft kisses before pulling away to watch your face.
Your features were contorted in a mix of pleasure and desire, moans escaping from your lips as you steadily climbed towards climax. His rhythm became deeper and more intense, bringing you closer to the edge.
"Azriel..." you moaned out his name, throwing your head back and arching your body as ecstasy coursed through you.
“That’s it my love, that’s it…”
Azriel’s words got stuck in this throat as he watched you reach the peak of bliss, the air around you suddenly seemed to shimmer and a soft ethereal light enveloped your beings. Azriel's eyes widened in awe at the magnificent sight before him. Glowing iridescent wings sprouted from your back, their delicate pink hues dancing in the dim light of your chamber. They fluttered gently, casting a mesmerising glow that bathed both of you in a radiant aura of magic.
Filled with wonder and awe, he was sent over the edge, his own release filling you as he held the most ethereal being in his arms.
"So beautiful..." Azriel breathed out, almost in disbelief as he couldn't fathom how you could be any more breathtaking than you already were.
Your wings twitched and fluttered as you rode out the waves of pleasure, the intensity of the moment slowly subsiding as you rested your forehead against Azriel's, your breaths mingling in the intimate space between you. A blush crept across your cheeks as you realised what you had just revealed to him in your most vulnerable and intimate moment. The soft glow of your wings gradually settled, the dust they had created floating gently around the room like stardust.
"Azriel... I..." you began, your voice barely a whisper, emotions swirling within you like a tempest.
But before you could find the words to express the depth of your feelings, Azriel's firm yet gentle voice cut through the air, his eyes flickering with warmth and adoration as he spoke.
"Let me say it first," he insisted, his arms tightening around you in a comforting embrace. "You are my guiding light in the darkness, my entire soul's devotion...I..- I love you."
Your wings, now settled and slightly slumped with the weight of the moment, trembled at his words, the warmth in your chest swelling with each syllable he uttered. Tears welled in your eyes, reflecting the tear that had already spilled from Azriel's.
"I love you, Azriel," you whispered, your voice thick with emotion. "I am yours forever, in this life and the next."
Your lips found one another again, bodies and souls intertwining under the soft glow of your wings.
 𓇢𓆸
As your friends reminisced about the first time they saw your wings, Azriel, ever the gentleman, only vaguely danced around his recollection. He shared that it had been when you accepted the mating bond for him. The vague blush that covered your cheeks was enough to dissuade further inquiry from your friends.
"Am I the only one who didn't realise you had wings?" Cassian asked incredulously, only to be met with a pillow thrown by Mor.
"You really need to brush up on your Fae race history and anatomy if you didn’t know she had wings" she teased, a mischievous twinkle in her eye.
"I can’t believe it all had to be so dramatic though," Amren remarked. "I simply asked her to show me the first week we met, and she obliged."
You smiled nervously at Amren's confession, feeling the weight of your friends' stares.
"So you're saying we could have just asked all this time?" Feyre exclaimed.
You chuckled sheepishly. "I only hide them because they’re delicate... and you guys can be, well…"
"We can be what?" Mor's gaze teased as she leaned in closer.
Instinctively, you moved closer to Azriel for protection, but he seemed to find humour in the situation.
"Clumsy... not always spatially aware," you admitted with a sheepish grin.
"Is that so?" Cassian drawled, a mischievous glint in his eyes as he glanced at Mor.
"Show us your wings then," Nesta declared bluntly, slightly frustrated that Amren had gotten one up on her by simply asking you.
"No," you replied firmly, not wanting to suddenly bend to their will.
Cassian and Mor exchanged a knowing look, a mischievous plan forming between them. Without warning, they both lunged at you, their playful attack catching you off guard.
You cried out for Azriel's help, but to your dismay, he seemed to be thoroughly entertained by the spectacle unfolding before him. Cassian's firm grip on your wrists pulled you closer to him, while Mor's embrace from behind left you feeling both trapped and ticklish.
"Not spatially aware, huh?" Mor teased, her fingers jabbing playfully at your waist, eliciting a cascade of laughter from you.
Your please for assistance only seemed to amuse Azriel further, his smirk betraying the mischief dancing in his eyes.
“I’m sorry, my love,” he chuckled, his voice laced with mirth. “But the outcome of this is one you know I love seeing.”
Your friends playful assault only continued, your giggles filling the room. And in the midst of it all, your wings unfurled, revealing the delicate, pink membranes that had been the topic of conversation for the past hour.
They fluttered from your back, casting a glowing aura across the room and around you. They resembled delicate petals kissed by the soft hues of dawn, shimmering an iridescent pink that mesmerised anyone who laid eyes on them.
“There she is…” Azriel murmered under his breath. A fond smile tugging at the corners of his lips. He could feel the pride filling his chest as he watched you, gazing at your beautiful wings in all their ethereal glory.
But it wasn’t just your mate gazing at your with love.
No, your family found themselves grinning ear to ear, looking at you with admiration as they watched you glow.
A glow they were forever grateful for.

Constellations
Tumblr media
Azriel x Fem!Reader
Summary - Azriel can't allow himself to stand on the side lines anymore and watch as yet another male tries to take you away from him.
Warnings - oblivious reader and Az, angst, pining, Az and Nes being cuties, smut, p in v, oral (f receiving), lots of fluff, flirting
Tumblr media
There were constellations in your eyes.
That was what everyone had said when they'd first met you, alluding to the clear fact that you were a deep daydreamer whenever you sprang to topic, which was more often than you'd think.
Prythian bowed to you, everyone in every nook and cranny in any court knew who you were. A shining star in a court of nightmares.
Every one of the High Lords held a special affection toward you, often asking you to leave Rhysand and the inner circle and join them instead. Helion had made a point of his fondness by making a comment about how other-worldly you looked in Day Court gold, and then later on teasing Rhys about how he would one day succeed in his desire.
Everyone could beg and plead for you as much as they wished, but none of their affection could rival how Azriel felt about you.
Azriel was your shadow. Wherever you went meant that the Shadowsinger stalked not too far behind. He would sit with you and hum whilst you ran your fingers through his hair, each touch sending lightening soaring through his soul. He would walk around Velaris with you endlessly if it meant that he could see that almost childlike wonder in your eyes when you looked at the same restaurant or bookshop that had surely seen a thousand times before. He would soothe away your nightmares, allowing his shadows to pepper your skin in sweet pecks as he held you, and he would let you get close enough to soothe him when his own demons plagued him.
That's why, when he stood to the side of the room with a whisky in hand, did he want to tear apart the male who dared to speak to you. Helion was no regular male. But, as you giggled at one of his flirtatious jokes and rested your hand on his chest, Azriel became sure that he could make him scream like one.
Helion was visiting from the Day Court and it was the last night of his stint, so Rhys had suggested that you all go to Rita's, to relax from the toll of the week. The High Lord in question needed access to a couple of special tomes in one of Velaris' archives, you and Rhys had agreed that the tomes were too valuable to allow outside of the city, so Helion had to come to you. Like all he wanted was another excuse to be around you.
Azriel couldn't blame Helion for it.
Azriel believed that you were the most precious thing on the planet. 500 years of friendship and you stunned him more and more each day with your anecdotes and the innocent chatter that always filled the room.
"He's really trying this again?" Nesta asked, appearing beside him at the railing, wanting to take a moment away from the family madness before Cassian dragged her to dance for the fifth time that night.
"Can you blame him?"
The top three buttons of his shirt were left untethered, exposing that rock hard muscle beneath that was ink kissed and shimmering. Azriel couldn't stop looking at you, you were wearing that dress that you loved so much, sheer white and glittered in fine crystals, a low scooped back that fell perfectly on your figure. It was the only thing that could truly take his breath away.
"When are you going to tell her that you love her?" Nesta gazed at you, she'd never admit it but you were definitely her favourite, she held a special spot for you in her heart, just how everyone did really. "You need to tell her," she turned to him and he peered down on her with a sincerity she'd never seen, "She's incredible, Az. She's not the kind of girl you let get away. Go and love her before someone else does."
"She deserves better than me, Nes," his sad gaze lifted to you, you were starlight and he was shadow, you were pure and he was horribly tainted, and he couldn't have his darkness snuffing out your light.
Nesta gently pulled his sight from the dancefloor, making him focus on her by keeping her palm grazing against his cheek, "You're not a very good spymaster if you can't see how she looks at you."
Azriel didn't know what to say, he just knew that he had to get to you. He rounded Nesta and descended onto the dancefloor, barging past the grinding bodies with you in his sight, sipping your drink and smiling brightly at Helion who was stood far too close to you. You always felt Azriel looming, his shadows curling around your ankles always being a tell-tale sign that he was close.
Your eyes followed the trails of his shadows until you found their owner, your brows furrowed at the urgency he wore whilst he kept glancing at Helion with a tight jaw. It was unsettling.
"I need to speak to you," he pleaded, taking a step closer to you and you had no choice but to look up at him, to let those rippling pools of hazel drown you.
"Az, is every-"
"Please," he cut you off, reaching for you but not quite touching, like he was waiting for your agreement so that he could whisk you away.
You had never seen Azriel look so pained, so pleading and desperate. Without a word to Helion, you nodded and Azriel's fingers slid around your wrists, pulling you into a whirl of colour until you stood on a floor that you recognised and Rita's faded away.
The cabin was warm, everything was in place and tidy, that scent burning wood and orange that clung to the cabin flooded your lungs and made you shiver with delight. You had always loved the place, how perfectly small it was for a lone escape, where you could watch the snow fall from the bay window with a hot chocolate in hand and blanket wrapped tightly around your legs.
It took you a moment to centre yourself, and when you turned, you saw Azriel stood there, head hung low and wings drooped but relishing in the comfortable warmth of where you both were, "What's wrong, Az?"
The only light illuminating the cabin was from the fire, that crackling beast that sent gold and orange light roaring across the space, it welcomed in the faint glow of the moon that spilled onto the floor like an old friend.
"You can't go with Helion," he told you, well, more blurted at you.
"Go with Helion?" You asked and he nodded, anger bubbled in your chest, "Why would I ever do that?"
"He's wanted to take you from us for so long," 200 years to be exact, "Who could blame him, you're the most incredible thing that Prythian has ever made. I thank the Mother every day for you."
"What?"
"Please let me finish," he hated cutting you off, he hated being the reason that you were silenced, "If you speak now, I'll never be able to say what I have to say, what I need to say."
Azriel watched your face soften, the anger that threatened to boil over now evaporated, he watched you move to the sofa and sit down, patting the empty space beside you. He didn't know how you did it, how you could make someone feel so comfortable and heard, he thought about it as he took the seat beside you and heaved in a deep breath, curling one of his wings around you as if he was scared that you'd bolt.
"I love you, Y/N. I love your kindness, how you've never been scared of me. I love the way your eyes sparkle when you're talking about something you're passionate about. I love how you scrunch your nose when you're deep in thought. I love the way you bolt through the streets of Velaris before solstice to make sure everyone is as spoilt as possible. I love you, Y/N. I love everything that you are and everything that we can be, I can't lose you, I don't know who or what I'd be without you."
"There is no one who knows you like I do. I know that you sneak an extra spoonful of sugar into your hot chocolate before Nesta can catch you and tell you off," you smiled softly, "I know that you secretly hate shopping with Mor but would much rather suffer than tell her and take some of her spark away. I know that you can never tell Cassian that Nesta is your favourite unless you wanted to see him sulk for weeks," a soft laugh flew from your lips, "I know you're the reason that Rhys, Cass and I turned out so well, you're the only person we couldn't bear to disappoint."
Not once did you stop looking at him as he spoke. He loved you. Azriel really loved you.
"You love me?" Azriel nodded gently, "But, what about Elain? I thought..."
"Me and Elain?" Azriel's eyes were frantic, "No, Y/N. Gods no. You're the only one I've ever wanted, I tried to love someone else, I tried to love Mor, and maybe on some level I tried to find that with Elain. But no one could ever compare to you, anyone who isn't you aren't worth it."
Silence filled the air, that warm, golden hued air. Azriel was trying to read your mind, to figure out what you were thinking when you started laughing, tears pooled at your bottom lids and one blink sent them flowing down your cheeks. Azriel shuffled closer to you, taking his thumb and wiping away your tears before they dripped from your chin.
"We're so stupid, Az," you sniffled, letting him cradle your face in his hands and continue to wipe away any tears that fell from your eyes, "How could we be so blind?"
"What do you mean?"
Tilting your head to the side, your eyes sparkled, just how they did when you looked at or spoke about something you loved, then you felt it, that tension that had always tugged at your soul snapping into place, clouds of grey became clear sunny skies, and a golden thread soared across it and thrummed with yearning delight.
"I mean," you tugged on that thread, you watched his eyes widen and fill with disbelief, "That I love you too. So much."
"You're my mate," he confessed in a whisper, the bond sprouting into full bloom around you, like you could both see the tendrils of thread sewing your souls together.
Azriel's breath fanned across your face, hot and laced with the scent of whisky, the tip of his nose ran down the slope of your own, and you felt his lips lie millimetres away from yours, you watched his eyes search your soul before flickering downward to the place he craved to touch. Anticipation pulled at your chest and swelled in your stomach, and every bit of doubt vanished when he closed the gap and pressed his lips to yours.
It was like everything fell into place, like the world only began to make sense in that moment. Azriel's lips moved against yours hungrily, the sweep of his tongue into your mouth once you had granted him permission to taste you was enough to make your knees go weak. Heat pooled between your legs and you scrambled to be on top of him, the hem of your dress hitched around your thighs as you rested into his lap.
"Please, Az," you breathed between starving kisses, "I need you."
Azriel's hands moved from the back of your neck and the small of your back, reaching around to grip underneath your thighs, so dangerously close to where you needed him to be. He lifted you, not once breaking the connection of your lips, locking your legs around his waist as he carried you to the bedroom.
"I'm not making you mine on a couch," he lay you on the bed and climbed on top of you, running his fingers down the sides of your thighs, making your back arch as he peppered kisses down your neck, sucking and nibbling on the skin he found there.
You squirmed beneath him, itching to rip his clothes off and allow him to take every part of you, "Please," you whined into his hair, his hand palming your breasts and lips attached to your earlobe, making soft moans fall through your stumbling mouth.
"Tell me what you want," his voice was so deep that it made goosebumps rise across your skin, it was sultry and dark, it matched the shade of his eyes when he pulled away to look down on you with swollen lips and tousled hair. "I'll give you everything."
"I want you."
It was all he needed to hear in order to tear your dress in two and take your hardened nipples in his mouth, sucking and biting on them gently, swirling his tongue around the sensitive nubs of nerves that had you gasping and eyes rolling to the back of your head. You felt like your body was on fire as he kept moving downward, littering kisses down your stomach before resting between your thighs.
The cold air against your core made you gasp again, he ran a finger down your soaked folds and moaned, "You're so wet for me," his voice vibrated against the inside of your thighs, "So perfect," he mumbled before his tongue dragged a line up you, and then again, and again until you were a blubbering mess fisting your fingers through his hair.
Azriel flicked his tongue against that familiar bundle of nerves, curling his tongue around it and sucking on it gently so that he didn't overstimulate you. Stars crept in to the sides of your vision, that hot white heat building in the pit of your stomach, "Don't stop," they were barely coherent words but he heard you and kept his pace, teasing a finger around your entrance before slowly pushing it in an curling it upward.
It sent you toppling off the edge. That white heat burst from you, loud cries of his name flew from your lips and your hands gripped his wrists, stars poured into your eyes and Azriel pushed you through your high.
Too lost in the mind shattering orgasm he had just given you, you didn't feel his hands ran up your back and lock around the back of your neck, you didn't realise that your torso and head were propped up in his arms or see his wings flex above you, "Angel," he cooed, he clenched his hands into your hair and pressed his lips along your jaw, "Let me take care of you."
Azriel was bare before you, his length solid and resting against your thigh, "Make me yours, Az."
Azriel growled, his eyes darkened with possession, "Tell me if it's too much and we can stop," you nodded breathlessly and he kissed you again, harder this time as he pushed himself inside of you, your walls still quivering and pulsating around him.
Once he was pushed to the hilt inside of you, he groaned, it was deep and guttural, the most incredible sound you'd ever heard. Azriel gave you a moment, and you tapped his shoulder lightly to get him to move, you were needing him to move, it was getting too much. Your soul was burning with desire and you needed him to satisfy it before it completely ignited you.
Your mate thrusted into you, the roll of his hips reaching angles you didn't know existed, he took your nipple in his mouth again, growling as his pace quickened and the sound of slapping flesh and declarations of love filled the air.
"You're so beautiful, Angel," his lips found yours again and his movements became sloppy, "I'm so close," he felt your warmth tighten around him, ready to milk his cock as high pitched mewls exploded from your lips, "There she is, my perfect mate."
Azriel's fingers wound in your hair, pressing your forehead to his as he slammed into you, riding you both through those searing hot highs and continuing the long strokes as you both fell down, "I'm yours, Az. I'm all yours."

Words on Paper
Based on this request.
Tumblr media
Pairing: Azriel x Fem!Reader
Summary: Azriel’s jealous over a male in your book and it’s hilarious.
Warnings: Just fluff, short Drabble :)
1k words
Tumblr media
You and Nesta hadn't shut up about the men in your books all morning. The new Sellyn Drake novel had come out less than a week ago and the both of you couldn't stop raving about it, you swore you had dreams about the characters, and when you weren't caught up in the plot you were analyzing the characters, the male love interest specifically who Nesta and you were all but frothing at the mouth over.
"I need him, unfortunately," Nesta sighed, looking over to me as we held our planks. Valkyrie training seemed to go a lot faster when the both of you got the chance to debrief over chapters and share what you were passionate about, Cassian didn't seem to care as long as we stayed on task and kept up with the movements.
The exercises had become second nature to the both of you, sure it wasn't as mindless as breathing but after it's been part of your routine for weeks it truly does come naturally, like a second language that only the two of you can speak.
Azriel was slow to insanity at this point. He couldn't seem to adjust to the idea of you taking interest in anyone but him. With Mates, the rule is that if the bond is accepted then there's no one else for that person, intertwined by fate.
So why was he so irritated when you rambled too long about a guy from a book?
"Are you two working out your mouths too?" Azriel stands above you, arms crossed over his chest. Slowly, you look up at him with a wide grin. "Sorry, sir," you tease. Nesta shakes her head in exasperation and you giggle.
It took one minute of silence until Nesta and you were whispering amongst each other again.
Azriel seems to have given up days ago, his eyes narrowed at you from across the sparring mats, Cassian next to him as they drink their waters.
“Doesn’t it bother you?” Azriel asks his brother, continuing to stare at both of their mates. “Does what?” Cassian turned to him with an arched brow. “That they’re so obsessed with those men from their little smut novels,” Azriel mutters and Cassian nearly laughs at the death glare the Shadow Singer was saving for the fictional male, who as of late was threatening to take his wife away.
“It’s just words on paper,” Cass shrugs, bending down to place his water on the ground. “I know but, the idea of her wanting anyone else gets under my skin,” Azriel argues and this time Cassian does laugh, it was so odd to see the revered Spymaster so torn up about some guy, who wasn’t even real. “What’re you jealous of him?” Cassian scoffs through his laughter. Azriel rolls his eyes and puts his water down. “Whatever, just don’t come crying when you can’t satisfy Nesta anymore,” He grumbled.
“I doubt that day will come,” Nesta hums from behind the Shadow Singer. He knew she was there, you with her, but he needed to get his point across. “Hey hun, you ready to go?” You dip under his arm, placing a hand on his bare chest. He only nodded in reply.
“Hey, remember what I said, it’s just words Az,” Cassian said before you got the chance to winnow him away, he nodded once more then you took him home.
You didn’t want to know what the General was going on about, you could tell from training Azriel was a little irritated but you couldn’t remember doing anything to irk him.
“You gonna tell me what’s wrong or just keep pouting like a baby?” You ask and he scowls down at you. You smile, hands coming to his jaw and pressing a soft kiss to his lips, he barely has time to reciprocate it before you’re pulling away.
“What’s got you so tense?” You smush his cheeks together and he just stares at you in reply, so you begin to guess. “Something Cass did?” You ask and he shakes his head no. “Something I did?” He doesn’t move and you deflate, flinging your arms over his shoulders and melting into him. “Can’t you just tell me what’s wrong, please?” You sigh into his neck, already admitting defeat. “Do you like him more than me?” He blurts and you stiffen, pulling away to look up at him confused. “Like who?” You utter. “The guy in your stupid book,” He grumbled and you openly cackled before slapping a hand over your lips. “It’s not funny,” He groans backing away from your touch and plopping down onto the sofa, where he could sulk in peace. “I know, I’m sorry Az,” You say, taking deep breaths to control your giggles. “I’m just saying, what does he have that I don’t?” He frowns and you walk over to him, sprawling over his lap and straddling his hips. “Perhaps a control on his emotions?” You tease and he grumbles beneath his breath like a child, looking away from you.
It was true that Azriel was quite explosive. One would think he’d be less reactive as the Spymaster and yet he might’ve been the quickest to action out of all the inner circle. It was a weakness, something he was working on. It was rude of you to point it out but you make up for it by peppering a line of loving kisses up the side of his face.
“I love you, okay? Only you,” You reassure. “Those men, they’re meant to be thirsted over, you understand that don’t you?” You ask and the male nods. “I just don’t want you wanting anyone else,” He looks at me and my grin widens. “Awh, Az,” You wrap your arms around him and squeeze him tight. “I’m all yours, don’t worry,” You muffle into his neck. “Yeah? All mine?” He asks and you nod rapidly before saying, “Promise,”
“Now stop acting like a big baby,” you pull away from the hug and hold his face in your hands. “I’m gonna go bathe, you gonna keep moping out here or do you wanna join me?” You tease. He doesn’t answer and instead picks you up from where you sit and walks you straight to the bathing chambers.

The sleeves of your black satin shirt had already fallen down your arms, the shirt itself was only being held up by two thin chains over your shoulder. it was basically as good as transparent, there wasn't a thing you couldn't see through it.
Theodore had leaned himself on his bedpost, his shirt was long gone. You were reading to him, your legs were on either side of his hips, your ass was cupped by his hand as he found utter joy in this situation. Your breasts were Infront of his face as he struggled not to get hard under you so quickly. Theo was never this grateful for being taller than you, he could just look down at you and get a perfect view. he wanted nothing more than to hold them in his hands and squeeze it or just rip the shirt off at this point.
"He moaned softly at the squelch of your cunt swallowing him, a creamy white ring surrounding the base of his cock every moment he pulled out."
your flingers grazed the hoops of his trousers, hooking them absentmindedly. sometimes they paused and was placed next to his hips.
“D-Dick, p-please baby-” a hitch in your voice. you could feel your pussy, but more than that, you could feel a lump in his pants.
"its so attractive when you say baby like that, but when i fuck you, its gonna be theo" he mumbled by leaning closer to your ear.
all you could do is nod as he signaled for you to continue.
“Gotta breed you baby.. Show all these fuckers that you’re mine and get you pregnant. You’d like that huh? All full with my baby, my cum deep inside this needy lil’ pussy, hm? You want that princess?” You felt him smirk against your skin as he never faltered, his cock reaching so deep inside you–fuck this man would be the end of you."
Theo's eyes were fixated on you. the way your voice was wavering, the way you squeezed your thighs, how a blush crept to your face. he loved how you got so shy with the pregnancy kink. it made him wonder if she had one herself.
"you're into that? why read about it when i can give you the full experience in 6D?"
you tried to waver him off, this was the last thing you needed in this situation
" "All I do is treat you so fuckin’ well, don’t I?” Dick mumbled as his fingers started to toy with your clit, his middle finger rubbing the sensitive nub in circles as he continued his brutal pace on your weeping cunt. “F-fuck..” he whined as he pulled away for a moment to look down at where the two of you were connected, his cum from earlier rounds already starting to pool onto the bedsheets and trailing down your thighs. “S’good to me, ya know that? Such a good girl..” Fuck it was starting to become too much for him, but it felt so fucking good.."
you could feel your own pussy throbbing. If you were being honest to yourself, you were thinking about you and Theodore. your head keeps going to the idea of him saying this to you, doing this to you and feeling him so hard just got you more turned on.
“G-Gonna come, Dee–fuck!” you whimpered as you fell back into the sheets with your face squished against the pillows, gripping the blanket into your hands tightly."
your palm grazed his veiny arms, has he been working out? they've gotten so big..
“F-fuckin’ come baby, come all over this cock..” He coos through clenched teeth, his nails lightly digging into your plush skin as his thrusts sped up."
from palms to fingernails, they slowly trail up his forearm and roamed around his chest.
"Whiney breaths leave your throat as your climax starts building, before the coil in your tummy finally snaps, your juices gushing around him as he let out a whine and threw his head back."
you find yourself adjusting to place your pussy right above his cock. you could see his face trying to not to show any signs of satisfaction. that was all you needed.
“C-Come inside me, Dick–please!” you squeal with your face squished into the pillow to muffle your needy whines as his cock twitched inside you."
all he could concentrate about is trying not to break character. his eyes fixated on the elegant curve of your back beneath the clear fabric. her rough voice ran through his head in circles. he lifted an arm from his side, letting it play with the bottom buttons, almost only leaving one left. The only thing covering you up.
“I know baby, I know–fuckk!” he groaned as you felt him release inside you, thick ropes of his cum painting your walls a creamy white, giving a few shallow thrusts before stilling inside you, pants and heavy breathing leaving both of your lips as you sat in silence."
you ran your arms down his abs, he loved your not so secret fixation you had for them. but you loved it more.
"You whine as you try to crawl away from his needy hands before he grabs you by the waist and pulls you back to flip you onto your back, a few pieces of his hair stuck to his forehead as he looks down at you with a grin painting his plush lips. Gosh it’s like he was trying to kill you."
“Said ya’ wanted to help me..” he cooed as he leant down with his lips ghosting over yours. "
“So, help me..”
Theodore was done. He gently picked the book from your hand and placed it on his nightstand. both his hands went under your thighs as to place you on the bed so he could tower over you, his chain dangling Infront of your eyes.
"hi handsome" you said peering up to him. you pulled his arm to examine it. his veins looked so hot, just absolutley lovley to have around you.
"hey beautiful"
you take his hand, a quiet smile made way too your face as you rest it on your breasts
Theodore felt your hands as it unzipped his trousers leaving him in boxers. your hand slid up and down his dick in slow strokes, just to drive him mad.
he takes her into my arms still kneeling, hitching your leg around his torso before pulling you as close as possible. The kisses you shared were soft, unbothered needy but never rushed.

*quote from the chaos of stars
~~
Khaos was to be one of the many shooting stars that showered the Night Court skies. The Night Court would be celebrating Starfall, their yearly event to star gaze as spirits made their migration. Had she made her destination they would recognize her as one of their own and welcome her with open arms. Except for the first time the Night Court had in possession four instruments of conquest. The harp, mask, crown, and the horn, commonly known as the Dread Trove; Therefore diverting her journey to The Autumn Court.
~~~~~~~~
Bryaxis roared as he agreed to fight in the war. The reason for the blast; a form of communication, letting you know his end of the bargain was done. A bargain made with the High Lady cementing his plans- your plans. He requested a window below the library to see the sun and stars and most importantly lightning, conjured by you of course. Gods did he enjoy the spectacle, your wrath illuminating the dark sky striking fear and anxiety in peoples bones. The thrill of watching their faces as they waited for that crack of thunder. The sadist in him couldn't wait to be unleashed and bear witness to your fury, cracking of bones and screams in terror. The sweet scent of blood splattered throughout the field. He was giddy with excitement.
Azriel had rushed to the house of wind only to find the inner circle gathered in the sitting area. “Az! I’m so glad you're safe. Feyre and I figured out why the house was so moody.” Elain bounced over to her lover, wrapping her arms around Azriels neck, bringing his mouth to hers in an endearing kiss, running her tongue along the seam of his lips. Azriels arms remained at his sides, as she embraced him. His brows furrowed when she attempted to deepen the kiss.
He had just held you in his arms moments ago, your frame tucked closely within the shelter of his wings. Just the two of you and no one else existed at that moment. Not the flying of splintered bark or decayed leaves from the blast, or the dust, heavy with smoke and mist. He just saw you. Felt the power in your veins, saw the moon and all its stars in your eyes, the ruler of the skies and ruler of his mind.
He already missed the way the stars danced in your eyes as you looked up at him. He wanted to see his shadows dance along glittered starlight, not dirt covered flower beds and baked goods.
Azriel didn’t allow Elain to deepen the kiss, instead he broke apart from her eager mouth and gently pulled her arms from around his neck. “Elain I think we sho–”
“You smell different,” Elain interrupted, sniffing around Azriels chest and neck trying to find the source. “Just stepped on an orange on my way here,” he replied, rubbing the back of his tense neck. Her eyes narrowed, not trusting a single word out of his mouth.
Azriel met Nestas cold glare, a slight shake to her head followed. He was being put on the spot in front of his whole family. Beads of sweat formed along his forehead, wiping his clammy hands along his thighs, he started towards the stairs, “I’m gonna go shower.”
“I’ll join you!” Elain exclaimed, reaching for Azriels hand, intertwining her fingers with his. He silently begged for someone to stop her. To pull her away from what he knew she wanted, what he’s been giving her for the past six months. For anyone to suddenly need her so he could enjoy the scent of your body a little longer. So he could aggressively fist his cock and imagine he was fucking your throat instead.
Slowly Azriel climbed the steps, each step creaked as the wood carried their weight closer to their bedroom. He’d have to imagine it was you instead of her. Your mouth pressed against his lips as he swallowed your moans, hands trailing down your stomach till he reached your wet cunt. Your perfect body pressed against the shower wall as he sheathed himself inside you, taking you over and over and over–
“Azriel? Did you hear me?” It was Cassian that broke his thoughts.
“Sorry, zoned out for a bit. What did you say?”
“Rhys wants to debrief you.” Cassian jerked his head to Rhys' office.
“Now?” Elain whined, “can’t it wait for morning? It’s late.”
“No, he’s right Elain. Better now that it's fresh in my mind.” Azriel didn’t know if he should thank Cassian, the mother or the Gods for sparing him. Elain began to speak again but it was Azriel who seemed to read her thoughts, “don’t wait up,” he finished; releasing her hand that she so tightly held.
Not sparing her a second glance, Azriel followed Cassian to Rhys office, his shoulders more relaxed than before and his shadows seemed to have calmed down. Throwing his arm around Azriels shoulders in brotherly love, Cassian leaned in close and whispered, “you fucken owe me asshole. Now tell me all about her.”
Azriel tried to play it off with a smirk, but a wide smile danced on his lips. He’d get to stroke his cock to the thought of you after all.
~~~~~~~~~~
Azriel didn’t sleep in the room he shared with Elain, her once alluring scent now seemed too sweet. Her hands were suddenly too rough from pruning rose thorns and the leftover dirt beneath her nails made him sick.
He knew he needed to find the time to break things off. Cassian had told him that much. It wasn’t fair to lay next to Elain while he dreamed of you. Although Azriel didn’t divulge too much to Cassian about his fantasies, which wasn't the case when it came to Elain.
With Elain he had told Cass every dirty detail, how many times, positions and even sounds. He knows it was wrong. Didn’t think much of it before, as it was spoken between brothers and no one else. It would be different with you though. You were different. He was going to do it tonight. Tonight he would break things off with Elain and devote his efforts in getting to know you.
~~~~~~~
There were strong wards surrounding the Prison in the Night Court, used to prevent anyone from winnowing inside or flying to the entrance. The power needed to pass through the wards was more than you expected. It wasn't till you reached the stone gate that you realized that only the High Lord of the Night Court's blood would open the gate, something that you couldn't manipulate or conjure. You pinched the space between your brows in irritation as you thought of a way to bypass the blood sacrifice. Starting small in order to regain your power you attempted to push at the stone gate, hoping that it would just topple over. It didn't. Since the prison was on a cavernous mountain perhaps a little quake would loosen the rock and stone exposing the entrance for you to just strut right in.
You knelt in front of the stone gate, both knees firmly planted in soil and moss. You closed your eyes to focus on your magic. The sea breeze caressed your wind-chapped cheeks as you listened to the roar and crash of waves when they met the edge of the mountain. You summoned the power of the land through your fingers, plunging them deep into the soil in front of you. With a roar that echoed the strong ocean waves the mountain trembled in fear. The more your arms quivered in pain the deeper your fingers dug into the ground. Every inch rooted into the land caused the mountain rock to shrivel and rumble till small cracks webbed along the stone gate.
Azriel and Cassian were in the middle of breakfast when the floor beneath them swayed side to side, followed by a rolling motion. Dishes broke into pieces as they crashed to the floor, glass and sharp porcelain scattered the ground. Rhys urgently summoned them mind to mind.
There's a breach at the prison, get over here now before she releases them all.
Azriel and Cassian shared a look before they scrambled into their leathers and sheathed their most effective weapons, knives, daggers and swords, preparing for the worst.
Small cracks etched along the stone wall but it wasn't enough to open the gate. With your power almost completely drained you called upon the light. Seconds from opening your eyes to wield a crack of lightning a cool tendril wrapped around your wrist, carrying the smooth echo of ‘Please don’t do this’ in the whisper of Azriels voice.
The soothing touch jolted you. Your eyes shot wide open long enough to see the sky illuminate in a bright flash. A loud roaring sound boomed through the air as a violent strike of lightning slammed into the stone gate, crumbling it to pieces.
When you looked down to your trembling hands submerged in the rich soil, black tendrils seeped from the ground, wrapping up your arms and cooling your hot skin. “I think you like playing with fire don’t you?” Dusting the dirt from your hands you caressed the little shadow and quickly made your way inside the prison, looking at the sky one last time just in case you couldn't make it out.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Hello Bone Carver.” You smiled at your old friend, “Remember that favor you owe me?”
The Bone Carver just rolled his dark eyes. “Whatever you're going to ask me, the answer is yes.”
You beamed, “thank you.”
It had been easier getting out of the mountain than getting in, a flaw in the protection wards you’d fix before you left.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
By the time Rhysand, Cassian and Azriel trekked up the mountain you were long gone. Upon entering the prison Azriel was easily able to follow your scent which led him to the Bone Carvers cell. Rhys entered and excused the other two males.
“You sure you know what you're getting yourself into brother?” Cassian questioned, glancing at Azriel with his eyebrow raised. Azriels brows creased as he tilted his head, not understanding what he meant. “She almost leveled a fucking mountain. I love you brother, but I don't think you can handle her,” Cassian smirked, “but I know I can.”
Azriel snorted. They had shared females in the past accidentally and sometimes in the same room. “She’s different Cass. Touch her and I’ll cut off your hands.”
“Don’t need my hands to fuck her Az.” Cassian threw his head back and howled in laughter as Azriel punched his shoulder in jest.
Rhys walked out of the cell and stared at Azriel as if he knew something Azriel didn’t. His violet eyes bore into hazel ones with a look of sympathy, knowing what lay ahead for Azriel.
“What did he say?” Azriel nervously asked.
Rhys didn’t answer as he turned his back away from him, starting his walk back down the mountain. Cassian and Azriel shared a glance, a look of worry in both their eyes.
Back in Velaris, Rhys paced back and forth, his knuckles white from clenching them into fists. The violet of his eyes black with rage.
“She knows about Velaris and can easily bypass the protection wards. Now she knows how to get in and out of the prison. Find her before I do because I'll fucking kill her.” Rhys' tone was low and deadly like a viper ready to strike.
Without another word Azriel set out to find you, again. But this time he was determined to get answers. No more riddles, no distractions. There was a pattern he picked up on. You seemed to befriend the deadlier creatures of Prythian, The Suriel, Bryaxis somehow, and now The Bone Carver. Azriel set his sights on the middle of Prythian where the weaver Stryga was confined.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Work out of your home Court was almost complete, the allies that you needed were aware of their duties and were loyal to your mission. Your limbs ached and burned from your travels across multiple courts, the only thing bringing you a sense of peace was this last stop. Possibly the worst, not the person you had to visit but the stench alone turned your stomach.
The severed head in the sac you carried grew heavier and heavier as your final destination grew closer. Crimson stained your clothes leaving them stiff and rough against your delicate skin. Your hair has clumped from the dirt and blood, it’d been days since you had a nice bath. You open and close your mouth as the sour taste of decayed flesh hits your taste buds. Food wasn't easily available but the horrid smell had you doubling over, emptying what was left from your stomach. Sweat now beads down the side of your face. Heavy eyes spot the weavers cottage in the distance. Finally you think.
“Stryga!” You shout, as you rap at the wooden door, “open up!”
Strygas feet shuffle to the door, “must you shout? I’m blind not deaf you insubordinate buffoon,” she scolds as she swings the door open.
Thankfully she doesn't see the way your face falls as you hold in your gag. “I missed you too Stryga.” She beckons you inside, her arm extended towards her cluttered home. “I don't mean to be rude, but I’m in a hurry. It’s not far from now Stryga. You’ll still be able to eat your fill of evil males,” you declare, handing her your sac with the severed head. “I’m going to kill him, both of them. Don’t you worry. Your neck still remains attached to your spine. But I’ll need some help and I’d love nothing more if you fought by my side.”
Stryga lowers her head and you witness her undying loyalty as she motions to kneel before you. “That's unnecessary,” you attempt at grabbing her arm, stopping her bow.
“It would be a pleasure to unleash my wrath for you Khaos, Goddess of creation and decreation,” Stryga pledges as she remains within your grasp. “So, not a buffoon then?” you stifle a laugh at her earlier jab, and for the first time in your presence Stryga smiles.
“No one calls me that anymore.” You remind her, a wave of sadness crossing your eyes as you remember your mission and how far you are from home.
“Buffoon? Or khaos?” She smirks as you throw her a faux glare.
Stryga suddenly stiffened, her ear catching a faint whisper as she tilted her head. Her clawed fingernails digging into the worn wood of the door.
“Stryga?” You whispered, peering behind you at the dozens of trees that seemed unmoving.
“Shadows follow you.” She brings her forefinger to her lips, shushing you, “non threatening it seems,” her brows furrow, "they're captivated.” Her soulless eyes widen as they seem to meet your gaze. “The shadows have stolen from you.”
You don’t have time for her to elaborate. Quickly making you exit and excusing yourself, she shocks you with her parting words. “Do you know what it takes to make a star shine?”
You shake your head as if she can see you. “Darkness,” she replies. “I knew that,” you answer as you take steps away from her cottage, eager to leave before the shadows master finds you. “Then why do you run?” She retorts, crossing her arms as she braces against the frame of her door, a smug expression on her deadly face.
You don't spare her another glance but her words linger long after you've left her cottage. With your work away from home finally done you winnow to your home court, disappearing in a cloud of glitter and smoke.
~~~~~~~~~~~
You inhaled the crisp air, holding it in your lungs for three seconds before exhaling. Calming your racing heart and releasing the power that traveled through your veins. You smile briefly as the pressure of water against your body washes away days of dirt and blood. Finally letting your limbs relax, stretching your arms high above your head, reaching for the blue sky wanting nothing but to hold the warmth of the sun. In the peaceful silence of the forest you give yourself a moment of weakness. You allow the ache that's burrowed deep within your heart to break free from its prison. Your body’s screaming for a day a week or even a few hours of rest, where shifting isn't needed, and glamouring your true form doesn’t eat up most of your power. Where wars dont need to be fought and kings don’t need to die. You let your strength rest; to feel your pain shatter the windows to your soul for just a moment.
~~~~~
Azriel followed the sound of hushed whimpers, his shadows jumping from tree to tree. The soft cries soon turned harrowing then muffled, like a palm over the mouth.
‘Broken’
His shadow informed him.
Taking cover in the darkness below a large tree he heard the faint weeping, the sudden scent of citrus invading his nostrils. Your shoulders shook with the force of your cries as you cleaned off your wings. Azriel tried to look away from your bare back as you bathed beneath the mouth of a waterfall. Immediately he noticed your wings, two forewings and two hindwings that tapered towards the end like those of a luna moth.
You can shapeshift, he realizes, the large expanse of your wings covering your behind from view, leaving Azriel curious. But why were you crying? You didn't seem broken like his shadows had mentioned. That's when he saw it. Blood. You were cleaning off blood from your wings. Someone you had just killed he imagines. No, It was your blood. At the base of your wing closest to your back a large slash cut deep, almost severing your wing.
“You’re hurt, I can help you.” His voice rang out over the rushing water, slowly inching forward so as to not seem threatening. Frightened by his sudden appearance you vanish before his eyes, leaving a cloud of shimmering powder, momentarily blinding him. Weaving through the darkness of the in-between, you swiftly emerge, tackling Azriel to the ground, unsheathing his own dagger in the process.
Clothed in nothing but a thin nightgown, you straddle him, truth teller firm in your grip pushing against the column of his throat. His shadows swirled above your head creating a crown of darkness as if you were their queen. Azriel narrowed his eyes, ‘traitors.’
“Why have you looked for me?
Azriels speechless as he beholds your beauty, ignoring your question. His eyes wander over each of your features as if committing to memory. His hazel eyes land on your pouty lips and his throat bobs as his desire consumes him. Instinctually his pink tongue darted out to wet his lips, just in case.
“Why have you looked for me?” You repeat, forcing his dagger against his jugular, a bead of blood painting his tan skin. Azriel smirked, the thrill of a dangerous female only exciting him, causing the scent of his arousal to fill the air. “You plan to kill me with my own blade?”
“I could kill you without it.” You counter, the force of your power sizzling through your fingers.
Azriels eyes flutter closed, the scent of his arousal drifting to your nose, a husky scent with a touch of night. “So the rumors are true,” Azriels brows furrow, “the shadowsinger playing hero to a damsel in distress, bedding any female that bats her eyes.”
Azriel then twists his foot around your ankle, using his weight to roll you over onto your back. You drag the blade across his throat as he tumbles you to the ground. His hand firmly grips your throat while the other wraps around your wrist, pinning you to the forest floor. With his knees firm on the ground, caging your hips, your legs resting on top of his thighs, making it easy for you to wrap your legs around his waist. “Who told you that?” He asks angrily, blood dripping down his throat from the shallow slash you gave him.
“Eris Vanssera '' you gasp, the slight pressure of his fingers around your throat arousing you more than it should. Yet the grip he holds on your wrists sends you in a panic as memories from your morning assault come crashing.
The males rancid breath makes your stomach churn as he licks at your cheek. The whole weight of his grotesque body has you pinned down, barely able to wriggle out from under him. With one hand he holds your wrists down above your head as the other fumbles with his belt.
Mid-flight he had collided into you, both barreling out of the sky crashing to the ground. Furious, he had attempted to sever your rare wings. The impact of your fall momentarily ceasing your powers, causing you to fight hand to hand.
Your crying only eggs him on, excitement in his rotten attempt at a smile. You're not sobbing out of fear. No. You mourn the life you have to take. You mourn every life, weather deserved or not. The spark that creates life remains. Rooted deep within you, pushed to the side in order for darkness to prevail.
Loyal to your duties as a Death God by any means necessary, you sucked in the secretions from your lungs and violently spat. Thick mucus covered the fat bastard's face, briefly losing his grip, giving you just enough time to unsheath your knife and drive into his thick skull. Later, you’d gift his remains to a dear friend.
Azriels eyes widened with shock as he felt a sharp pain shooting through him. Grunting and hissing he clutches his side, finding Truth teller lodged deep into his rib, warm blood dribbles from the wound staining the ground he's crouched at. “ Did you just stab me?” he chokes out, wincing as he pulls the dagger free, fingers splayed wide attempting to stop the bleeding.
Scrambling out from under him, chest heaving as the adrenaline flows through you. “You’ll live,” you pant as you stand, dusting off browned leaves from your back and knees. A sigh escapes your lips as you notice a blood stain on your white night dress. All you wanted was to wash up the violence that painted your skin and even then your efforts were futile. Azriels eyes trail up your body as he remains kneeled still putting pressure on his rib, his magic working to heal the open wound.
Anger courses through him as he zeros in on a purple bruise on your inner thigh, visible from how short your dress is. “Tell me who he is and I’ll kill him for you.” Those simple words had meant so much you almost cried at the gesture. While you slaughtered the bravest of males and brought warriors to their knees, destroyed kingdoms for unworthy kings, defended the defenseless not one person had offered to protect you. Countless times you had braved your own storm with not one soul willing to weather the chaos. Despite being used for your endless power, time and time again you still gave more than what you could ever receive in return. You save everyone but who was there to save you? You were one female and strong enough to fight your own battles and conquer without the help of highlords or kings. So why was this male cracking the shield of vulnerability wrapped so tightly around your heart?
Azriel seemed to notice your internal struggle, “come here,” he rasped as he stared through your troubled gaze. The tousled waves of his hair that fell so effortlessly over his forehead looked so enticing your fingers twitched. His hazel eyes had darkened and the way his thick thighs looked kneeling gripped you so fiercely your legs moved on their own volition. Standing on weak knees, his eyes never left yours as he patted his thigh, urging you to place your foot on his strong muscle. You obey his command with a slow nod. Azriel chances a glance at your exposed leg, “who do I have to kill?” He asks, softer this time. His bloodied fingers wrap around your delicate ankle and for once you don’t mind. Strong hands gently smooth over your leg, wrapping to the back of your calf. A shiver runs through you at the simple touch, his attentiveness relaxing your muscles. Slowly he lifts the hem of your gown, just enough to expose the bruise and nothing else. “Tell me whose entire family line should I butcher for touching you?” he murmured against your skin, circling your tender bruise with his perfect nose. “I killed him,” you breathe looking down at this male whose lips are inches away from your throbbing core.
“Mmmm good girl,” he growls, meeting your hooded gaze as he licks your inner thigh followed by a tender kiss. You nearly buckle at the sensation of his lips against your skin. The way his rough hands are caressing up and down the expanse of your leg. Lustful eyes roll back as he deeply inhales the sweet scent of your arousal, smothering his handsome face against the heated flesh of your leg like a house pet greeting their owner. “Let me worship you,” he purrs, his hot breath ghosting over your covered core as the tips of his fingers kiss the space between your legs. Azriel could cum right now just watching you throw your head back as you gasp from his fingers grazing your pulsing core. His pants are pulled tight from his cock pushing against his leathers, wanting to bury himself inside you. He’s willing to wait as long as you need but right now he’ll take whatever you give him.
When your eyes meet Azriels again you don’t miss the burning desire in his beautiful eyes or the outline of his bulge as it strains against his pants, suddenly it becomes too much too soon and before you know it you’ve shoved him away, the yearn clouding your vision clears and your back to being a powerful Death God.
“Is that what you tell the females you lay with? That you’ll worship their bodies like the Goddess they are?”
Azriel hangs his head between his dropped shoulders. Shame of his past finally catching up to him when it matters the most. When what he wants more than anything is threatened by his past mistakes. What was he thinking? Oh Gods and Elain. He was offering to please and bed you while he still hadn’t broken things off with Elain.
“You never answered my question. Why have you looked for me?”
Azriel remains silent.
“Did I offer a service which benefited you or your court?”
“Not exactly.” He answers
“Do you seek to use my power for your gain?” You continue, crossing your arms in front of your chest.
“No”
“Do you seek treasure?”
“No” He replies with a scoff.
“You seek power then?”
Azriel shakes his head, “no, not power.”
“Knowledge?”
“Nope.”
“You do not pursue power, nor do you wish to bathe in coins, and knowledge is neither here nor there, so you must be searching for love?”
Azriel stilled.
“Ah, love it is. I regret to inform you, I cannot make someone love you.”
“That's not it. You healed me as a child. You were a stranger that showed me more kindness than my own family, and I've spent my entire life looking for you. Not to ask for more healing or to share your magic with others who may need you, but to offer my gratitude. All these years I’ve wondered what you’ve made of yourself, if you're happy, successful, have you found love or have you married or.. ” his gaze shies away, “or if you’re mated.” His tone is sincere, like he's been practicing those words for centuries.
You narrow your eyes at him, gauging whether he's telling you the truth or not, though you sense no lies. “What’s your name shadowsinger?”
“Azriel.”
“Azriel, I'm sorry but the person you're looking for doesn't exist anymore, but I’m even more sorry that I don’t recall this interaction.”
You watch as his expression sombers.
“I’m very flattered though,” you give him a tight lipped smile and get closer, deciding to sit next to him on the stone flat rock that rims the pool you were bathing in. Hoping to offer the same sincerity, you gently place your palm on his lap. “I suppose I can answer your questions, I feel it's the least I can do since you’ve indeed stalked me all these years.” Azriel chuckles remembering the night he said he wasn't a stalker. “I’m not happy, or successful where coin is involved. I have found love in all the faces I’ve seen and the wonderful friends I’ve made, but I’ve only loved one male.” while heat flushes your cheeks and a smile escapes your lips, Azriel frowns, unprepared for the hurt your answer would cause. “His name is Lucien, but –”
Azriel doesn't hear a word you say after that, the weight of your confession pinning him where he sits. Thank Gods for that because he's sure he’d topple over if he were standing. His mind imagines what Lucien had done for you to love him. What words did he use to make you sigh, what cheesy jokes he told to hear you laugh.
Does Lucien know that your skin feels like the finest silk known to man. Has he had the pleasure of kissing you and taking you to bed?
Azriel can feel his anger bubbling or jealousy he's not quite sure but he's unable to stop the hateful words from spewing out, “Lucien can’t love you, he has a mate! And she's pretty and sweet, she's sunshine and rainbows. She's gentle and soft.–”
“And everything I’m not.”
You finish as you swallow the tight knot in the back of your throat. You turn away from him, wiping at a stray tear that's rolled down your cheek. The truth in his words hurting you more than they should; since you’ve moved on. Lucien has too at least that's what you've heard.
Moving on doesn't cure the sadness or put together the broken pieces of your shattered heart. Forgetting Lucien doesn't erase the years of longing. You could never blame him for leaving you. Out of left field he grew distant, a silent struggle you knew nothing of. And you haven't seen him since.
Azriel places his scarred hand on your shoulder, an apology on the tip of his tongue as well as clarification for his words. He doesn’t get the chance as his touch burns your skin causing you to jolt and shrug him off. Azriel panics as he notices your red rimmed eyes, wet with unshed tears. “I’m sorry. I didn’t..what I meant was-”
“No. You're right. How can someone like him love something like me?”
Azriel shakes his head. You thought of Lucien like the sun, brilliant and warm, setting fires to forest floors and warming the coldest of hearts. And you the moon, who only glows with the help of the sun. You had it all wrong. Lucien was just a sly fox sneaking his way into the heart of the moon. How could someone like him love something like you? The real question was how could he not love you?
Females like you were born during a raging storm under the phenomenon of an eclipse. With lightning in your veins, thunder in your heart and chaos in your bones.
He shouldn't feel hope in your sorrow but he’s glad Lucien didn’t choose you. Azriel would choose you; In a hundred lifetimes, in a hundred worlds, in any version of reality, he’d find you and he’d choose you.*
If he had the chance he’d rewind the clock and say what he actually meant. If not for a chance at forever then to ease your heavy heart. The words he spoke out of jealousy would hold a different meaning had he spoken them out of love.
‘Lucien can't love you the way I want to love you. He has a mate! So you were not made for him, but perhaps you were made for me. She’s pretty and sweet, sunshine and rainbows. But you balance strength and femininity like no one else. You're stunning, and selfless, you glow like the moon and shine brighter than the stars. She's gentle and soft but she can never compare to you. Not then, not now, not ever. No one has compared to you.’
But those words remain unspoken as he watches your figure retreat into the orange glow of the forest. Your beautiful wounded wings gracing the ground with your presence, leaving behind a trail of starlight. It was then he realized you didn't need to be saved, you needed to be found.
~~~~~~~~
You could cry tears of happiness as you near your humble cottage. Weaving through the tallest of trees and jumping over a running brook with flat rocks covered in moss. A sigh leaves your lips as you take in the place you call home. The wood creaks a familiar sound as you bounce up the worn steps.
Before your hand reaches the bronze knob, the door swings open and warmth envelopes you in a crushing hug. Your melodious laugh echoes in the air as strong arms spin you round and round. Your eyes meet those of amber as he finally lets your feet touch the floor. “I’ve missed you so much,” he admits, as a warm palm cradles your face, gently tracing circles on the apples of your cheek. He wraps his arm around your waist bringing your body flush with his. His heat offers a comfort not found with anyone else. And you allow yourself to melt into him as he softly brings his lips to yours.
His tender kiss turns desperate when you run your fingers through his auburn hair, lighting a fire that only the wetness between your legs can extinguish. The night runs long as this male beds you over and over and the only name that slips past your lips like a prayer is, “Eris. Eris. Eris.”
Sitting in the dining room eating my dinner alone, Azriel went to the townhouse to see if anyone needed anything, Cassian was out on a mission Rhys sent him out for last week. The house was lonely without those two stomping about and finding some petty thing to argue about, which always turned to them ganging up on me. I sigh thinking about how I miss Cassian, he hasn’t been out on a mission for this long since before the war. The way he wraps his arms around my soft stomach and pulls me close and always stays close during outings, especially with meetings from other courts.
I shake my head clearing my thoughts of the Illyrian general and dive back into the book Nesta let me borrow. Diving into a love story about a prince and a mermaid, the mermaid gaining legs during the day found her lover and he pressed her against the wall mouths colliding with a reverent fervor. I adjust in my seat trying to mask the arousal that is beginning. The prince’s hands roam down the mermaid’s body grazing across her slick center.
A warmth kissed the shell of my ear, “You know that’s going to rot your brain. Right.” The low rumble of Cassian’s voice jolted me from my seat, slamming my book shut. I stood up and was about to scold him for sneaking up on me but before I could he grabbed my waist and spun me around. When he stops, he pulls me close to his chest. “Oh, I missed you, Sweetheart,” He kisses the top of my head.
He puts me down and I smile patting his cheek, “I missed you too, Cass. How was your trip?”
He rolls his eyes, “A standard mission.” He wrapped me in his arms again, “I’m just happy to be home.” I wrap my arms around his waist and place my head on his chest. My heart skips at the contact I must remind myself that touch is one of the ways he shows love and that this isn’t him wanting to just take my scent in. “So, we’re celebrating my coming home by going to Rita’s.” That got me squirming out of his grasp, but he holds me tighter. “You’re coming, too.”
I groan and get out of his grasp, “But I wanted to finish my book tonight.” I grab my book and immediately it’s taken out of my hands. “Cassian!”
Cassian waves the book above his head and bends down to make eye contact with me, “You can get it back when we come tonight.” He gives me a shit eating grin that I want to slap right off. “Now, go get dressed and meet me back here so we can meet everyone at the Townhouse.” I glared at him, and I quickly try to jump and grab my book, but he stands to his full height, and I fall short. The general extends his arms to the hall leading to the bedrooms, and I stick my tongue out at him and head to my room to change.
I picked a silver silk gown that has thin straps and a corset back that accentuated my generous cleavage the bodice rouching to beginning the skirt had a slit that starts at my hip down as the skirt flows down to the floor it highlights the stretch marks on my thighs that I enjoy. I place my hair in soft curls pinned half my hair in a bun, letting the rest of my curls flow down. With a pair of heels that I laced around my ankle I make my way back to the dining hall, where I see Cassian with his hair down, black slacks and a white button up shirt that the top unbuttoned his chest tattoo peaking out. I give a low whistle, “Looking good, General.”
Cassian grins and looks up and his face falls into something I don’t recognize. His Hazel eyes graze down my body from the diamond choker around my neck to my dress and zeroes in on the slit of the skirt and his eyes darken, I wrap my arms around myself unintentionally pushing up my chest. “Something wrong, Sweetheart?” Cassian asks his voice sounds like he is gritting out the words.
I bite my lip, “I feel like with that look on your face I need to change, you know I think I will go do that.” I’m about to turn when a calloused hand grips my wrist.
“I’m so sorry, I just wasn’t expecting that dress, I’ve never seen it before.” He kisses my cheek, and I can feel the heat rushing to them. “You look beautiful.” He scoops me up in his arms and gives me a saccharine smile, “Ready?”
“The things I do to get my book back.” He pinches the pinches my side and I giggle, “Lead the way General, just don’t mess up my hair.”
“Wouldn’t dream of it.” And we take off into the skies.
Once we get to the house, I notice familiar shadows and I hop out of Cassian’s arms before his feet touch the ground. “Azriel!” I leap into his arms, and he laughs wrapping his arms around me.
“Brother, I think she gets lonely when we’re gone.” Az says to Cassian as he pulls away and looks at my outfit, “Y/N are you trying to get Males and Females on their knees tonight. You look ravishing.” A growl emits from somewhere but when I turn in that direction, Mor, Feyre and Cassian were beginning to walk towards Rita’s.
Rhys kisses my cheek, “What did he do to get you to come out? You hate going out to Rita’s?”
I meet his violet eyes and cross my arms, “He is keeping my book hostage.”
Azriel snorted. “Smart. I should try that.” I scowl at him, and he loops his arm in mine, “Come on, we’re going to make you earn that book back.”
The three of us finally met up with the rest of the group, the music in Rita’s thrumming in my ears. Mor flagged us down and Rhys says, “I’ll get the three of us drinks.” with that he walks over to the bar as Azriel, and I go and sit with out friends. A seat is open by Cassian and he pats the spot next to him. I sit and instantly Cassian splays a wing around me and he nudges his knee against mine and I give him a smile.
Rhys comes back with drinks and a round of shots for everyone once everyone has a shot glass in hand, “To Cass and Az coming home.” We all cheer and take our shot, a shiver racks down my spine from the burning sensation. I sip my drink and the drinks keep filtering to our table. After a few drinks, Mor grips my hand, “Come on hotstuff, we are dancing.”
 I groan and face the General a playful smirk on his face, “You owe me.” He chuckled as Mor pulled me and Feyre to the dance floor. Once we reached the dance floor the music consumed me, and I let my body lose and began to sway my hips to the beat. Mor and Feyre were following my lead as we twirled and swayed, and I found myself laughing, enjoying myself and letting myself feel beautiful in my beautiful dress. I feel confident enough to tell Cassian how I feel.
“I’m so glad you came out tonight, even if Cassian had to keep your book hostage for it.” Mor yelled over loud music. I gave her a nod and a thumbs up in agreement.
After a few songs I make my way to the bar to grab water. Sweat coating my brow as I got closer to the bar, I saw Cassian and saw him laughing with the bar tender. I walk closer to him, and the bartender grips his face and presses her lips to hers. Shock runs through my system followed up with hurt.
Rhys, I’m going home, tired, tell everyone bye for me.
Rhys responded quickly, want me to take you home?
No, I’m going to walk. Thanks.
I sever the connection and make a bee line out the door. The cool breeze cooled my overheated skin. I cross my arms as bumps raise on my arms in response to the rapid chill and begin making my descent home.  Thunder booms across the sky and one drop falls on my cheek, and another and the sky opens on a down pour. “I should have stayed home.” I murmured.
I feel dumb, I have always interpreted Cassian’s touches and actions as him being interested when Cassian has always shown his love through touch. I can’t help but let my worst insecurities rise to the surface, he was a general well trained, his body a weapon. My adventures only fell in books and stories told from my friends and I have seen the females Cassian has taken to bed and they are drop dead gorgeous with bodies of warriors. I have always carried more weight and I never have felt shame or ugly because of it but-
A firm hand grabs my arm and spins me around and I meet Cassian’s eyes. “I tried calling you like 3 times.” He shouts over the rain.
“Sorry. It’s just loud. What are you doing out here?
Cassian’s brow furrowed, “You left, Rhys didn’t say why. I was worried.”
I waved him off, “Don’t worry about me I was overheated and tired. Go back and have fun I’ll be good.” I turn once more but his grip on my arm tightens slightly, and I turn back, and his white shirt is completely see through his abs and tattoo on full display. “Cass.”
“It wasn’t because you saw the bartender Kiss me?” He asks to close the distance between us.
I shook my head, “I don’t know what you’re talking about.” I look away from his gaze as his arm snakes around my waist. Neither one of us disturbed by being drenched in the rain.
“Sweetheart, I was blindsided by the kiss, her lips were not the one I wanted tonight.” He curls a finger under my chin and makes me face him, his eyes dark no hint of hazel.
“No?” I whisper.
Cassian smiles and highlights his chiseled tan face, and my knees feel weak, “No. I was hoping a vision in silver would kiss me.”
Oxygen flees from my lungs as I slide my hands up his chest, “Cass.”
“Y/N,” His hands glide down to my plump ass and digs his fingers in, and a gasp escapes my lips, “May I?”
I almost whimper, “Please.” He bends down and crashes his lips into mine. His lips wet and warm in contrast to the cold ran against my skin. He nips my bottom lip and I moan in his mouth as he squeezes my ass again.  I pull away from him and he growls in protest as I kiss his nose and his eyes flutter shut, “Take me home, Cassian.”
Cassian eyes meet mine and there is playfulness there as he scoops me in his arms and launches into the skies. In mere moments we land on the balcony that leads to his room and he opens the doors and only when we are by his bed did, he set me down. The house closes the door and Cassian’s lips are on my again. His one hand grips the back of my neck, the other sneaks through the slit of my dress his knuckles grazing my bare center. He groans as he finds no underwear there and slides a finger in and I gasp, and Cassian takes it as an opportunity to slide his tongue in my mouth. He begins to slide his finger in and out and Cassian moves his lips from mine and slides toward my neck and he adds a second finger.
“Cassian.” I moan as I lean my head back. His canines bite the tender flesh of neck and his thumb rubs my clit. I began moving my hips, meeting his pace in stride. “Mother spare me. I reach up and grab my breast to get more friction the cold rain already stiffening my nipples.
Cassian releases my neck with a pop and I his voice is lust filled, “Look at you, riding my fingers, wicked little thing, aren’t you.” He picks up his pace and circles his thumb on the sensitive bud and I move my hips in time with his fingers. “Come for me, Pretty girl.” He curls his fingers and I release a lewd moan as stars flicker on my vision as my release overtakes me. Cassian takes his fingers out and licks on as he makes eye contact with me. He closes his eyes and moans, “You taste delicious, Y/N” He holds his finger to my lips my arousal flooding my nostrils, “Open, Sweetheart.”
My heartrate spiked as I opened my mouth for him as he slides his fingers in and suck my juices clean off his fingers, His free hand caresses my cheek, “So fucking beautiful.” I close my eyes and hum at his compliment.
He pulls his finger out and he pulls undoes his pants and pulls them down until his cock springs to attention. I look at the plush reading chair in the corner and an idea form “Go to the chair, General,” He quirks a brow but walks over to the chair and picks up his wings to get comfortable sitting. Once he rests his wings, he spreads his legs.
I prepare to untie my heels when Cassian voice goes, “Those stay on along with that Choker, Sweetheart. Everything else off.”
I begin unlacing my dress and once its loose enough, I slowly pull down the straps facing Cassian, I tug down and turn quickly as I reach my breast, turning my head to give him a wing and slowly remove my dress swaying my hips for him until the dress is pulled at my feet. I step out of my dress and drape my arm over my chest and turn to him. He is breathing rapidly, and his hand is fisting his cock. His white shirt no longer covering his beautiful body and lust over runs my brain as I slowly lower to my knees and his eyes widened. I lower my arm and place both hands on the floor, my breast on full display and the focal point of the general’s gaze. I begin to crawl to him, and he groans leaning his head against the chair. “Fuck,” he moans.
When I reach him, I grip my hands on his calves and slowly raise my hands to his as sit myself in between his legs, “Do you know how long I have wanted to do this, Cassian?” He moans as my hand replaces his. “How often I touched myself thinking about a moment like this?”
Cassian’s eyes met mine, and he smirks, “Show me, Y/N.” I returned his smirk and while maintaining eye contact, I lick from the base all the way up to the tip of his cock his hips jerk slightly. I let my tongue swirl the tip the taste of his precum inducing the lust as I begin to take him in my mouth. His large hand slides through my hair as I take him deeper and deeper. I relax my throat to prevent me from gagging. Cassian fists my hair and pushes my head lightly, “Tap my thigh twice if it’s too much. Tap once if you understand.” I tap his thigh once, “Good girl.” I begin bobbing my head and he moans, I hollow my cheeks, and lift my eyes to meet his pure desire over his handsome features.
I picked up the pace drool pooling at the corners of my mouth and after a few moments Cassian tugs my hair, “That’s enough, I want to be inside you.” I take him out of my mouth as a line of spit that connects from my mouth to his tip. He leans forward and swipes my bottom lip. “You’re so beautiful.” I could feel the heat creep up my cheeks. He stands and holds out his hands, sliding mine into his own he lifts me up and with ease lifts me up and I drape my arms around his neck as my legs wrap around his waist. He presses his lips to mine and I tangle my fingers in his hair. His kiss is urgent and hungry, and he digs his fingers in my soft skin as he walks us to the bed.
Cassian lays me on the bed gently and pulls away from our kiss, he stands removing his pants completely and his soaked shirt. His tattooed tan skin and brood muscles are on full display. I watch as his eyes glazing over my heavy breast, my round stomach and the stretch marks and cellulite that brushes my skin. I instinctively cover myself with my arms he gently grabs my arms and pull them away, “Don’t hide, Sweetheart. I’m just admiring your stunning body,” He kisses my hand, “You’re fucking perfect, Y/N,” and he leans down and kisses my stretch marks on my thighs and moves up to the ones on my stomach, and he moves to my breast, and he places my nipple into his mouth swirling his tongue causing me to arch my back. His large, calloused hand grips my other one and squeezed it and I moaned and lifted my hips.  He releases my nipple with a pop, and he kisses up my neck and my cheek. “I fantasized about having you in my arms, in my bed for so long.” He strokes his thumb across my cheek.
My breathing became labored, “Really?”
He kisses my lips so reverently and he presses his forehead to mine, “Gods yes, since that first day we met, the first time you smiled at me I wanted you. I just knew that you needed a friend first, so I tampered off my feelings.”
I cup his face in my hands and whisper, “I’m yours, Cassian, I’ve always been yours.”
Something primal stirs in his chest, and slants his mouth over mine, his thighs move to spread my legs apart. The kiss is possessive, and tongue and teeth and I grind my hips to try to get friction between my thighs. He chuckles over my lips, “Does my girl, want my cock now?” I moan at him calling me his girl and I nod my head, “Words, Sweetheart. Give me your words.”
“Yes, please, General.”
He hummed, “Well since you asked so nicely.” He slowly guides his cock into my center going slow so I can adjust to his size. My eyes rolled into the back of my head as he stretches me out. The hand that cups my cheek and my eyes met his, “Stay with me, Sweetheart.” I nod my head, “You, okay?”
“Cass,” He tilts his head, “Please start moving.”
“As you wish, Gorgeous.” And he pulls himself out almost all the way until he slams all the way into me, and I arch my back, Cassian tilts his head back and groans as he thrusts in a slow steady pace. “You feel magnificent.” He leans back down and cradles his head in the crook of my neck, I move my hips to meet his pace and he starts nibbling on my neck leaving little love bites on the column on my neck.
His hands find mind and laces our fingers, and he gives my hands a squeeze, and I whimper as his cock hits the right spot, and I murmur, “I love you.”
He stilled and his hazel eyes meet mine, “What did you say?”
I look at him and give him a smile, “I. Love. You.”
Cassian’s stunned face turned into one of pure beauty and happiness, “I love you too, more than you could possibly know.” He quickens his pace, and he leans his head against mine and growls, “You’re mine.”
I smile as sweat coats my brow, “And you’re mine.” He releases one of my hands and his hands finds my swollen clit and my hip jerks at him swirling his finger on it. My climax building in my stomach, “Cass, I’m close.”
He continues his thrusts and whispers, “Come with me, Sweetheart.” His hand works in time with his thrust and him squeezing my hand keeps me grounded. I moan and he swallows the sound with his mouth. And my stomach coils tight and my eyes roll and Cassian roars his wings flaring out, as we both finish together.
Cassian slowly pulls himself out of me and I groan in protest. He chuckles, “Insatiable little, minx.” He goes to his bathroom and comes back with a rag and cleans me up. Tossing the rag aside he lifts my leg and begins to untie my heels on my one foot. Tossing the shoe on the floor he begins to massage my foot and I hum in contentment. He sets one leg down and lifts my other leg and does the same process.
Cassian scoops me up and pulls the covers back lays me back down pulling the covers over me. I watch as he walks to the other side of the bed, his wings tucked in and slides in. He pulls me closer, and I place my head on his chest the steady rhythm of his heartbeat a sweet melody in my ears. He wraps his arm around my waist, his hand rubbing up and down my side. “I didn’t think I was good enough for you.” I whisper.
His hand stilled, “What?”
I slide my hand to his and I trace the line inside his palm, “I’ve seen the females you’ve taken to bed; I don’t look like them.”
Cassian snorts and resumes rubbing my side, “No, your beauty blows theirs out of the water. Not to mention, your kindness and your love for your friends, your love for books and fuck if your smile doesn’t make me want to fall on my knees for you.”
“I love the way I feel safe in your arms, the way he always holds me close especially when you’ve been away for a while. You always have made me felt love and safe and even before tonight made me feel like I was the most beautiful female in the world.”
He kissed the top of my forehead, “You are, Sweetheart,” He pulls me closer, “My beautiful, Angel.”
A thought crosses into my head and I lift my head and meet his honey-colored eyes, “I think I earned my book back, General.”
Cassian laughed a boisterous laugh, and he lightly kissed my nose causing me to giggle, “In the morning, for now let’s go to sleep.” I place my head back on his chest and fall asleep to the steady beat of his heart.
THANK YOU SO MUCH
Diamonds and Pearls
Azriel x f!Reader
A/n: I think this is my favorite fic I’ve written so far. I almost started crying writing this tbh. I went with Az bc I’m in a fluffy mood this evening but Xaden smut is coming I swear😉
Warnings: disgustingly fluffy
Azriel was surprised by how bold he had been in asking you to go to the annual Starfall ball with him. He didn’t want to dance around his feelings for you anymore, he had to tell you the truth. And tonight was the perfect night. Azriel never considered himself a romantic male, but that was changing tonight.
The reason for Azriel’s boldness was thanks to the mating bond. The bond had snapped for him exactly three weeks ago at breakfast. It was nothing special, just you, him, Cassian, and Nesta sitting at the table when it hit him. Feeling that golden thread come to life in his chest, being able to feel your calm heartbeat was the best thing that has ever happened to him.
For the first time in his life Azriel felt pure joy. He felt like everything was perfectly aligned. He was already head over heels in love with you and the mating bond just solidified that you were the one for him. You had known each other for centuries, and have been seeing each other romantically for a few months now. He was ready to take your relationship to the next step.
But would you want this with him? To be tied to him forever? He didn’t stop to think about that during his weeks of planning the perfect night to tell you. No, he couldn’t let his mind wander, he was too happy. He realized in his worrying his shadows were swirling around him and the hallway. Azriel called the rogue shadows back to him, he didn’t want to scare you when you came out of your room.
Just as your door opens the last shadow flys back to him. Of course the one shadow that was fond of you was last to come back to Azriel.
As soon as Azriel laid eyes on you he was speechless. You looked like the brightest star that would grace the sky this evening. Your dress was a beautiful light blue, made up of diamonds and pearls strung along the bodice. Your leg peeking out of the slit in your flowing silk skirt that had a layer of shimmering fabric that reflected in the light. Your silver heels clacking on the tiled floors as you made your way towards the shadowsinger.
“Wow.” He breathed out. You spun causing the dress to flare out, it practically glowed, just like you Azriel thought. “You don’t look too bad yourself.” Azriel suddenly felt guilty for wearing just a simple all black outfit on such a special night. A blush dusted his cheeks, “Thank you.” He holds out the box he’s been clutching for 2 hours, afraid he’d lose the gift he bought you. “I got you something for tonight.”
“Oh, Az, you didn’t have to get me anything.” You took the box from his hands, slipping one into his hands, smirking. “Very slick.” You giggle.
“You open yours first, and I promise I did not go to Mor for gift advice.” Azriel laughed, opening the box. His eyes went wide, he couldn’t believe you had given him something so beautiful. In the box was a silver signet ring with his wings and Mount Ramiel with the stars above it. “Y/n…this is incredible. Thank you.” He smiles down at you, his heart soaring at your kindness. “Your turn,” he slips the ring on his index finger, flexing his scarred fingers at the new feeling.
You open the skinny box to a gleaming diamond and sapphire bracelet. “Azriel! This is absolutely gorgeous. Thank you.” He takes the delicate chain out of the box, “Allow me.” You smile at him as he clasps the bracelet on your wrist. He brings your hand up to his mouth leaving a soft kiss on your knuckles.
He drops your hand, offering you his arm, “Shall we?” You interlock your arm with his and he whisks you away to the party. To the future he has planned for you, hopefully.
The stars are about to fall and Azriel had stolen you away from the Inner Circle to watch them on a private balcony. You were very excited to watch the stars with just Azriel. You planned to tell him that you loved him tonight, something you haven’t said to each other yet.
Lost in your thoughts about the beautiful shadowsinger, staring up at the stars he sneaks up behind you, tapping you on the shoulder. Startled, you turn towards his smiling face as he holds out a glass of wine for you, “What are sneaking up on me for!” Chuckling at your reaction he pulls you into his side, wrapping a wing around you, “Sorry darling, force of habit.”
You sip from the glass as the stars start to fall, watching in awe. The stars only hold Azriel’s attention briefly, more interested in watching you glow under their flashing light. Mother above you are beautiful, and he’s thanking her, like he has everyday since the bond snapped, that you’re in his life.
After a few more minutes of watching the stars you feel Azriel’s eyes on you. You turn, shifting a little away from him and smile. “I’m very happy I get to spend Starfall with you Az.”
“I am too y/n.” He swallows, now’s the time to tell you. He’s not backing out now. “I have something to tell you.” You say in unison. Laughing at your synchronization, you take Azriel’s hands in yours, swiping your thumb over the new signet ring reflecting all the blues and purples from the stars. “You go first.”
Azriel can feel his hands clamming up, it’s now or never. He’s just going to come right out and say it, even if it comes out sounding foolish. “A few weeks ago, at breakfast the mating bond snapped for me, for you. I could feel your heartbeat and happiness as you laughed at Nesta’s joke. And I swear in that moment I fell in love with you all over again. I’ve been waiting for the perfect time to tell you. I understand if you don’t want this because honestly I don’t deserve you y/n or the love you give me. But I can’t imagine my life without you.”
Tears were falling from your eyes. You couldn’t believe what Azriel was saying. You wanted this so badly from the day you first met. All you wanted was his love, but this was even better. You had dreamed about finding your mate ever since your mother told you about the concept when you were a little girl. Now yours is standing right in front of you confessing his love for you!
“Yes Azriel,” nodding vigorously, sending more tears flying down your cheeks. “I love you and you’re all I’ve ever wanted. I’m so lucky to have you as my mate, I couldn’t ask for anyone better.” Tears were now falling down his face. He wrapped his arms around your waist pulling you flush against him, kissing you heatedly.
In that moment the bond came to life in your chest. Glowing bright, connecting the two of you forever.
Some nesta x female reader pretty please💕? Nesta would be such a dom 😋😋
Tumblr media
“what did i say about taking without asking, pet?”
you swallowed thickly at the tone of her voice, your eyes pleadingly looking up at her, silently begging her for forgiveness.
“i- i’m sorry, mommy. i didn’t mean to brake the rules.” you pleaded at her.
nesta was very strict with her rules, and wasn’t at all forgiving with the punishments she provided you. you hadn’t meant to be greedy today, it was purely out of accident. but she didn’t care.
you broke a rule, and you must pay for it.
she sat on the chair in the corner of her room, her legs now crossed as she glared down at your kneeling form.
“awe, you poor thing.” she fauxed sympathy, her slender finger caressing your chin gently before spreading her legs once more. “you’re lucky mommy’s in a giving mood, kitten.”
before you could register what she had said, your face was being shoved in between her now spread legs, and you instinctively began to lap up her cunt.
she shuttered as your tongue flicked along her clit, and her fingers intertwined themselves in your hair before tugging the roots harshly.
“there you go, pet. you wanted mommy’s pussy so badly? now you have it. and don’t even think about stopping before i say.”
Author's Note: Sappy me really quick. Thank you, thank you, thank you to this person for requesting. My husband is gone until Friday and I am a lost puppy. I hope I did this story justice. ❤️ Requests open.
Theo smirked while walking around your room. A fire burned brightly in the fireplace. A sharp contrast from the harsh cold outside. The glow from the fire illuminated the most precious things that mattered to you. Accomplishments throughout your whole life displayed for any visitor to see. Pictures of you with your family and friends placed around various parts of the room.
He walked to your bookcase. The very bookcase you bragged so much to him about. Books of new and old neatly stacked vertically next to each other. He was amazed at the amount of books that were in your possession.
"I'm back," you announced with a sing-song tone. Theo noticed the two mugs of hot chocolate in your hands. You placed them down on the nightstand next to your bed. You sat on the edge of your bed waiting for him.
"One second, my love. I am going to get more comfortable," he told her. The fire in the room made it a little hotter than he liked. He removed his green sweatshirt allowing your eyes to scan over him. You didn't bother hiding that you were checking him out.
You couldn't help it. He had repeatedly told you that he worked out over the summer to get ready for the new Quidditch season. You believed him but this was different. His tall frame was usually covered by the pesky Hogwarts uniform.
You continued to stare at him. It felt as if you were in a trance. You didn't notice he was coming towards you until his brown eyes stared into yours. An amused expression captured on his face.
"It seems like you are interested in a little more than reading, darling," he teased. He leaned in and kissed you softly.
"I... I was just wondering how long it was going to take you to get in bed is all," you stuttered and looked away. Bright red burned your cheeks. He smiled in response.
Theo sat on the bed. His back leaned against the bed post. He patted his lap. You happily obliged the invitation. You sat on his lap and laid against him. He fingers ran through your hair before placing a soft kiss on your temple.
"What book did you decide?" He asked while playing with her hair.
"It's a surprise," she answered playfully. "A type of book we never read before. I could pick something like Austen or Chaucer if you want,"
"It's fine. I trust you made a good pick," he assured her. He reached for the book and held it for them in front of her. His chin rested against her shoulder. "Ready when you are,"
Your voice sounded in the quiet room as you read page by page. Theo turned the page each time you were finished. This book was certainly something you never picked before. Austen, Woolf, and Tolstoy would blush hearing these words.
Your fingers mindlessly traced the veins on his arms. Your lips found their way to his biceps. Kisses mixed with soft bites covered his skin. He watched her worship his arm.
"You've been quite mischievous tonight, my little lion. The book choice, staring at me while I undeessed and biting me," he whispered in you ear. You shifted in his lap so you were facing each other.
Theo closed the the book and placed it on the night stand. Strong muscular arms wrapped around your waist and pulled you closer. A trail of kisses left on your skin from your shoulder to you neck and ending at your lips.
His hands cupped your face. The once soft kisses was met with more passion. Hands slid from your cheeks and down your shirt. He stopped kissing momentarily to remove your shirt. The shirt thrown somewhere in the room. He wrapped your legs around his waist and assisted you to lay on your back.
Theo hovered over you. He kissed down your body painstakingly slow. A gasp slipped out of your lips when he arrived at his intended target. The smirk against your skin by him was not lost on you.
His hands slid up your waist. His thumb rubbed around your other nipple. You moved to close your legs but he remained in between them. His hips thrusting towards you. There was no denying you were the only one turned on. You couldn't believe the last time you two had sex was over summer break.
"Theo," you whined as he pulled away. His hands slid down your body once more. He hooked his fingers. As his hands slid down your body your shorts and underwear went with them. Soon, they were met with the same fate as your shirt.
"Oh!" You moaned. Your leg spread open by his hand. His thumb slowly rubbing circles on your clit. Theo's moves were calculated. As a Slytherin, he had ambition. He worked to make you a mess.
His middle finger slid inside of you. Your hips thrusted to match the pace of him. Each thrust met with a soft whine. His hands always knowing what you needed. Another finger joined followed by another. His long fingers curled where they needed to. As he wanted, you needed more.
"Theo, I need you," you confessed. "Please,"
Theo didn't know how much strength he had until he heard those words. Need. Hw gulped and licked his lips. If only you knew how much he needed you. He moved to his knees. You rubbed his abs down to his happy trail.
His wiggled his hips to allow his sweatpants to fall lower. Once he was fully free, he stared at you hungrily.
Theo leaned down to kiss your lips once more. Distracted by his kisses you didn't realize his hands moved yours to above your head. He used a hand to hold your wrists together.
Theo slid himself into you. Once he felt you adjust to him, he started to pick up his pace. You took each thrust in stride and milked his penis. He bit back a curse. A few more thrusts and the both of you became beautifully unraveled.
You two didn't say anything for a while trying to catch your breath. He moved his hand from your wrists and slid out of you. Your boyfriend assisted in helping you lay your head on the pillow. He slid in the bed next to you once you were comfortable.
The two of you turned to face each other. His arm grabbed your waist to move you closer. Your breaths tickling each other. His fingers played with your hair. You caressed his cheek slowly.
"Can't wait for another round of light reading," he joked with a smile.
Another Love - Another Love - Alternate Ending
Tumblr media
You were sure that you'd take any opportunity to spend as little time in Velaris as possible after what you had found out about Azriel.
After what he had knowingly and willingly done.
No one had fought you when you had asked for a different position in Rhys' and Feyre's court, to your surprise, they had backed you all the way and didn't push back. They knew you'd make a perfect emissary, all of the High Lords knew of you, even if they hadn't officially met you, and were more than happy to welcome you into their homes and share their culture with you.
It helped you immensely to allow your mind delve into anything else other than the grief that came from his betrayal, that sickening betrayal that made you loathe the last 500 years of your life.
Feyre, Mor and Nesta had done all they could to get you out of your shell, they had tried taking you to the markets and out to dinner, but it always ended in the same altercation, with Azriel appearing from the shadows begging to speak to you and they knew you were doing you best to look unphased but they knew deep down that it was peeling your soul apart.
It was hard to see you confine yourself to your home, confining yourself within those four walls and refusing to leave unless it was absolutely necessary for you to do so. The risk of seeing him around the city was something you didn't want to live with.
Rhys had visited often, bringing you new things for your home that added more character to it, from vases and kitchen equipment, to entire rooms that he and Cassian had taken upon themselves to build in a day. If you weren't going to leave your home then the least they could do was make sure you loved the four walls in which you had made into your santcuary.
But you missed the sun on your skin, you missed the breeze in your hair, and so you asked Rhys, no, begged him to send you somewhere where you could breathe again. Where you could begin to mend your broken heart.
It took him a couple days but he had done it, he had contacted Helion and asked him to house you for a couple of weeks, to teach you their ways and to allow you to read as many books as your wonderous mind could consume. And you had left that day, to rarely ever return.
Helion took a liking to you almost immediately, enjoying your scent of sweet lavender that soaked the halls of his palace like art on the walls, lingering there in the forefront of his consciousness. The High Lord examined you to be a soft soul, one full of desire for a better world, but a sassy little thing too.
He wondered why no one had ever really met you, but you had always been left behind to care for Velaris, you were strong enough to hold the lines if anything were to happen, and you weren't overly fond of inserting yourself in the politics of the continent. Velaris used to be the haven that you never really wanted to leave the comfort of.
Until Azriel.
Helion had intercepted the countless letters that had began to arrive once you had decided to extend your stay, the healthy glow of your skin and the serene specks in your eyes being enough to accept your wish. It was clear that the healing had begun, you had arrived in the Day Court a shell, an empty vessel of hurt and desperation; Helion had always thought that the sun had healing properties, though he was convinced of it when he saw how it had transformed you.
He had found a friend in you, an even more than that, a friend he didn't want to bed. Helion just liked being around you, you were intelligent and strong, your ideas of how the world should be inspired him. It wasn't often that someone like you was gifted existence, and he cursed Velaris for holding your mind hostage for all of that time.
Tumblr media
Thesan had taken you in next after your short stop in Velaris, you had only gone to spend a couple of nights with your friends, with the Inner Circle bar Elain and Lucien. You weren't ready for that.
The Dawn Court had to be one of the most spectacular places you had ever seen, white marble pillars and a sky that always resembled the faint pink hue of Dawn's break. The air was fresh and crisp, and rolling hills ran for miles from the balcony of the quarters that Thesan had so kindly given you.
Thesan had been briefed by Rhys of your state, of your heartbreak and desire to see the world and make a difference in the other courts of Prythian. The High Lord of Dawn took pity on you, but saw a light in you that still lingered despite the awful treatment that you had been subjected to; he decided to hone it. Not many were invited to work with the Dawn Court healers, but Thesan had extended the gift to you and you had accepted immediately, with bright hopeful eyes and smile and warm as the ocean shores of summer.
He had watched you burst from your shell, he had watched you ask meaningful questions and study your days away on the ways of their talents, all whilst admiring that flickering flame dancing in your eyes. Thesan had also intercepted the letters from Azriel, by hint of Helion, you didn't need to read the words that would bring you more harm than good, perhaps you did have a right to see them, and perhaps one day he would give them to you, but not a moment before you were healed and happy and could read his words with a new purpose.
Thesan had spent many evenings with you on your balcony talking about the universe and how to better the lives of everyone, he had learnt about your passion for helping others, you had told him of the charities you had worked to hard to launch to reduce poverty and increase the levels of education across the Night Court. It was something you wanted to reach every corner of Prythian, you believed that everyone deserved a fair and honest chance to be the best version of themselves possible.
So, he had agreed to roll out your initiative across his court, to help his own people to better their lives through rich knowledge and you had hugged him tightly, and he realised then that you were special, that you were too pure to harm, and he couldn't understand why anyone would ever want to. He couldn't understand how anyone could ever harm you.
It had been one of the warmer days in Dawn, and you found yourself stood in your chambers with ladies flocking around you, tugging an ornate garment up your figure and muttering with approval. Thesan was taking you to the Autumn Court, Eris, the new High Lord, had invited Thesan to visit with his court to continue the celebrations of his victory after overthrowing his father. It just so happened that as an emissary on a visit to Dawn, you were considered a part of the court despite Thesan's insistence that you be on his arm.
You had told Thesan that his kindness was too much, that you surely didn't need such opulence, the room he had given you was adorned with floor to ceiling windows, with one stunning stained glass pane in the centre crevasse, the walls were white with pillars of gold, and breath-taking artwork had been etched into the ceiling in a variety of pinks and pale oranges, it felt like a holy temple of sorts.
The dress that you had been bestowed had to be the most perfect thing you had ever seen, sheer layers of pale pink and blue, it wrapped around your figure and accentuated every single curve of your body, especially your cleavage; the dress possessed a thin gold belt and matching embellishments on the bodice, finished with a gold halo that had been worked into the loose curls of your hair.
The Day Court tan still lingered on your skin, and the wonders of Dawn had softened your features, you would have been unrecognisable to your family if they had entered the room at that moment, and you were thrilled to know that fact, it meant that whatever you were doing was working.
Thesan had hummed with warm delight when you had stepped onto the stone platform to the back of his home, Dawn suited you for more than him it seemed, he stood in a matching pale blue tunic with golden threads woven into the fabric and offered an arm to you, squeezing your hand before he winnowed you to the hearth of the Forest House.
Music had drifted outside, a breeze of fleeting warmth and laughter soon followed. You had looked about the space and gasped at the beauty, the home was surrounded by lush forest life, of leaves in a million different hues and fireflies that hovered just above the surface of the lakes and ponds that wound around the gardens, their humming glow reflecting off of the mirror beneath them. Swans swam by you, craning their necks to keep their eyes on you for a moment longer, besotted by you.
It was strange to be stood in Autumn after all of the conflicted tales you had heard from your family of its inhabitants and leaders, but as you walked through the halls and toward the noise, you'd never disagreed with anything more in your entire life.
Tumblr media
Eris was tired.
It had been weeks of non-stop celebration, and all he wanted to do was curl up in bed and sleep. Each day had been full of meeting his new advisors, of performing the duties required of him, and each night had been another celebration, another visit from a differing court to acknowledge his title.
He sat slumped in his throne, two hounds sat to attention either side of him and his leg was thrown up of the ball of the arm, nearly slipping off more times than he could count on account of his weariness.
It was the last night of his celebrations, and he had saved the softest visit for last. Thesan never really cared for such things, he was wise and polite, and would engage in whatever conversation was needed of him, Eris was thankful that he had asked the lowest maintenance High Lord to visit last. It would mean an early night at least.
Thesan's arrival had been announced, he had glided through the dark oak doors with a woman on his arm and Eris had found his gaze floating to her with his mouth slightly agape.
The woman before him was the most serene thing he had ever seen, soft pools of colour that he couldn't quite name drifted up the widen aisle and met his own and he inhaled sharply. The dancing lanterns bent toward you and he found himself straightening his posture in his seat, his crown of golden leaves dipping to his brow. The dress she wore complimented her perfectly, layers of pale pink and blue clashing in a symphonic cascade, the gold halo on the back of her head making him truly think he had stepped into the realms of heaven. The sun pecked skin, the sultry calm eyes, her oh so kissable lips and the way she moved about with such elegance and grace.
Thesan wore her proudly on his arm, but not the pride of a lover who clearly had the most incredible creature in the room to call his own, but the pride of a friend, of a confidant.
Light curled around her, and every head turned to peer at the angel before their eyes, murmuring of her beauty and asking one another who she was and where she had came from.
The High Lord of Dawn stopped just before the dais and dipped into a bow, one that she mirrored with her own low curtsey before they both rose to their feet.
Golden light shrouded his vision and he felt every nerve and cell burn to touch her, invisible tendrils of shining thread extended from his chest and licked at her fingers, and he felt gravity shift from beneath him, as if every axis now led him to her like a compass pointing forever north. Eris was too infatuated to hear Thesan's congratulations, the muffled voice of the Lord only becoming clear when he had began to introduce her.
"This is Y/N, an emissary of the Night Court, she is currently residing in Dawn and I thought it be wise to bring her."
Eris knew who you were, he had heard many things of your power and grace, of your sass and determination, all from the lips of Cassian and Azriel who quipped to one another countless times in his presence how you wouldn't like a certain thing either of them did once the news would reach you.
You were the only one of them that had intrigued him enough to want to meet you, but he had never been given the opportunity to do so.
"Y/N," your name fell from his lips and it felt like the only right thing he could ever say, he hadn't taken his whisky amber eyes off of you, and you hadn't taken your eyes off of him either, more in astonishment than anything else, "Welcome, please make yourself at home," because it will be your home, he watched your chest rise and fall in equal breaths, too consumed with your scent of lavender and chamomile with notes of rich honey to notice his hounds approaching you.
Most beings were terrified of his hounds, of him, and all he did was watch you in surprise as you knelt down and placed your fingers between their ears, scratching that spot he knew they loved all too well with a grin pulling at your lips. The hounds rolled onto their backs and you patted their stomachs softly, giggling at their tongues as they flopped out the sides of their mouths.
"Thank you for your hospitality, your home is wonderful."
"I'm glad you think so," you looked up to meet his warm gaze and felt the bumps rise on your arms, but you didn't hide away from him, "You should see the gardens, they're truly a spectacle."
"I'd be honoured, High Lord."
"Eris," he told you curtly but not at all with aggression, "Call me Eris."
A hum sounded from your chest and you rose to your feet, "Right," you smoothed down the skirt of your dress, "Eris."
Tumblr media
"You reek of Summer," Eris had been leaning against the doorframe of Fir Manor, waiting for you to winnow onto his lawn, and you were on time, as always.
Flipping him off, Eris tilted his head back and roared with laughter as you sauntered around him and into the home that he had placed you in whenever you deigned him worthy enough to visit, whisps of sea salt and sand filled his lungs and he shuddered at the scent, it certainly complimented you well.
Three months had passed since he had first met you, and he had to conjure up every excuse possible to get you to return to Autumn and stay in his private residence. Eris was aware that you had no idea that you were his mate, but he didn't mind, the ignorance to the bond had allowed you to let him into your soul in ways that no one else could, not even Azriel.
Eris knew of what Azriel had done to you, you had confided in him one night after one of Azriel's letters had made it to you and he found you crying in your room. Eris had burnt the damn thing into ash and watched it float away in the Autumn breeze without even a pang of guilt.
Autumn had begun to feel more like home than Velaris had, you had chosen to return to Fir Manor over your own home in the City of Starlight more times than not. Eris had lost count of how many times he had found you wandering through the labyrinth of hedges with his hounds, with one of Helion's books from the Day Court library curled between your fingers.
For the first time in what felt like his entire life, Eris felt at home, he felt at peace, and even just knowing that you were somewhere in Autumn, whether that be the gardens of his home or somewhere in town, brought him untold serenity. It was no secret that Autumn people had been the worst looked after, Beron didn't care much for them and Eris had confided in you that he wanted to make a difference, that he wanted the perception of Autumn to be one of rich knowledge and peace. It was something that he knew you worked hard to bring to Dawn, and he wanted it in his court after hearing the stories of how you had the capability of transforming lives, not like he doubted it for one moment.
Eris had given you everything you had needed to advance the education of his people, from funds to time to gather the perfect materials to give to the teachers you had sourced. You had spent hours alone with each one, teaching them what you knew with the help of Helion's personal books which he had graciously allowed you to borrow, knowing of your desire to make the world a brighter place.
"How is Tarquin?" Eris had asked you once he had closed the door behind your entrance, entering the living room where had a fire roaring and tea awaiting you.
Sighing, you flopped down onto the sofa, the plush pillows of rich red velvet wrapping around you, you looked tired, it had been a chaotic couple of weeks for you, spending time with Helion and his inventors, checking in at the schools you had erected in Dawn, and doing your best to fix the damage dealt by the unfortunate happenings in Summer when Feyre and Rhys had last visited, all whilst dedicating your time to bettering Autumn with Eris by your side.
"He's fine," you waved him off, your eyes had drifted closed and Eris cocked his head at you, noting the tiredness laced in your skin and the tight shoes still on your feet. You hated summer fashion, the too loose clothing and tight pumps that made your feet blister.
Eris moved to you and perched on the edge of the dark oaken coffee table, taking your feet in his lap and removing your shoes to find throbbing red blisters screaming up at him, warmth spread to his fingertips as he worked his digits into your skin, soothing the anger than lay beneath and smirking at your soft moans, "You need to rest."
"Can't," you mumbled back to him, he knew his touch massaging into the balls of your feet were sending you to sleep, "Too much to do," your words were quiet and your eyelids had flitted open to gaze at him.
Eris had determined then that you were so tired that you didn't realise how dark the skies were beyond the windows, that you didn't hear the faint chirp of the crickets who sang to fill the void that was night, "Come on," he scooped you up into his arms and smiled when you didn't protest to his touch, you never had but every time you allowed him a little bit closer to you, it made his day.
The High Lord sat down and positioned you on his lap, your back was nestled into the cushions at the corner of the piece of furniture and his arm was draped around you, his hand working circles into your scalp and you sighed with content, nuzzling into his chest and focusing on the sound of his voice as he read to you, his voice and the soft crackling of the fire that cooed you into slumber.
It had become a thing, Eris reading you to sleep like a child, and then you would awake in your bed and feel that empty space beside you, you'd frown at it, but then you'd remember that Eris was the male who would read you to sleep and tuck you into bed after warming your sheets with his heavenly fire to make sure you were as comfortable as possible.
You could never admit it to him for fear of rejection, but Eris had slowly been putting you back together, piece by piece hour by hour, and you weren't sure if he even knew it, but you were eternally thankful to the male who put you before all else.
It had been months and months of heart to hearts, of you telling him of your deepest fears and you broken heart, and him telling you that he was scared that he would never be enough to pull his court out of his fathers tyrannical shadow. You had both cried to one another, and you had both put the other back together.
It hand been months of late night garden strolls and morning visits to the bakery he had introduced you to, he had allowed you into advisory meetings, you truly cared about his court and there was no one he trusted more than you.
You wouldn't be healed without him, you wouldn't be ready to really leave Azriel behind if it wasn't for Eris telling you how worthy you were of the life you so desperately desired.
You had to thank him, show him how grateful you were.
You knew that day had been particularly hard for him, you could feel it in your bones, you could feel his exhaustion soaring through the skies and settle in your body.
That afternoon had been spent slaving away in the kitchen, the same one he had always insisted that he cook in despite your attempts to convince him otherwise. The table was full of candles and a freshly cracked open bottle of red wine from his favourite section in the cellar, you had dressed in a deep brown dress that hung from your shoulders and swept along the floor, and had everything plated by the time he walked through the door, shushing the excitement of his hounds that jumped up against his midriff.
Eris was exhausted like you knew he was, he didn't really acknowledge what you had done, assuming that you had just ordered one of the chefs at the Forest House to drop off dinner for you both since he had made it clear that you shouldn't cook to which you had always quipped that you were actually quite the chef if he'd just trust you.
"This smells so good," his hand grazed against your hip as you moved to take the seat opposite him.
The room smelt divine, of honey and ripe jammy figs, of salted butter and fresh vegetables. It had him salivating. Without another word he dug into his meal, driving his fork into the mound of roasted vegetables and honey cured meats and passing it through his lips. Eris gasped, dropping the utensil that went clattering against the table cloth and you frowned at him as his eyes went wild, as the shade of whisky darkened into molten desire, "Did you make this?" Eris spoke through chews before swallowing harshly.
"Yes, you've had a long day. I knew you'd be tired and I wanted to thank you for everything you've done for me. I just thought it would be nice," you had curled into yourself, feeling stupid for thinking that you would ever be appreciated, and Eris felt that embarrassment flow down the bond that you had unknowingly ignited.
"Y/N, no, I love it, it's so sweet of you. I just," he felt his soul roll in the delight of the accidental acceptance and he looked over at you, you were frowning in confusion at him.
Eris didn't want you to find out until you were ready, until the bond had snapped for you too, but you had unknowingly accepted it and he couldn't stop the lust from consuming him. His eyes roamed over you, over your perfectly lit face from the candlelight, over your collarbones and shoulders, over the mounds of your chest and the faint peak of your nipples that poked against the fabric.
"Eris? What's wrong?"
"I didn't want you to find out like this," you furrowed your brow deeper, folding your napkin in your lap as you waited for him to continue. Eris was struggling to form words, he was picturing your dress lying in shreds on the floor and your whimpers of extraordinary pleasure, he clenched his thighs together, trying to ignore his growth between his legs for long enough to give you the answer you needed, "We're mates, Y/N."
The penny had dropped and your gaze snapped to the table, to the plates of food, and then to him, "Mates? But I, I had no idea. Eris, gods, I'm so sorry," you had rose to your feet, not knowing where to go next or what to do as you realised that you had accepted the bond.
Then it all made sense, how you knew what he was feeling without truly feeling it, how his touch always soothed you and how his words brought peace to your screaming mind. Autumn had felt like home from the moment you had landed on that lawn all those months ago, and now you knew why, because it was your home.
Eris hadn't wanted to tell you, and when you thought of it, you couldn't remember a time he had spoken to you about a female, or heard a whisper about him bedding anyone. Eris was always at your side whenever you or he commanded it, he was always reluctant to leave you in the mornings, and you were the first stop every evening when you were in Autumn. It was you. Eris was waiting for you.
All of that realisation surged to the centre of your essence, and Eris could have sworn that you had began to glow before his eyes. Eris watched you as you closed your eyes and inhaled sharply as you hand snapped to your chest and closed over your heart.
Eris stood, he reached for you and took your elbows in his hands, his scent had always intoxicated you, but now it wove into the crevasses of your own, moulding with everything that you were and wanted to be.
Without a word, you stood on your tiptoes and pressed your lips to his, moaning against them softly as his fingers found themselves wound within your hair. Eris let out a guttural groan and pushed you backward until the backs of your legs hit the table ledge.
"It was you, I knew from the moment I saw you," Eris rasped between kisses, lifting you onto the table with ease and crashing the candlesticks and plates to the floor, marring the centrepiece of fresh petals into a river on the surface of the tablecloth, "I couldn't even think about wanting anyone else, there's no one I want more than you, Y/N. Nothing I need more than you."
Eris' fingers dipped into the straps of your dress, hooking them around his digits and tugging the garment down your arms, he pressed his clothed chest to your front and kissed you deeply, cupping your face in his hands whilst you unbuttoned his cream shirt, running your hands down the taut muscle of his chest.
"I have spent every day of the last six months loving you, falling more in love with you each day. I cannot breathe when you are not near. I cannot think straight when you aren't by my side. I cannot live without you for another second. If it's not you then it's not anyone."
The words you had always longed to hear fell from his lips and you leaned into him life he was the support holding your life in its grasp. His red hair fell over his face onto your forehead and his amber orbs pierced the shield you had allowed him to shatter, you didn't ever need to protect yourself around him, he saw you for everything you were and never dared to judge you.
"I was broken when I found you, I was trying so hard to put myself back together on my own. But my pride didn't stand a chance when it met you, you broke down every wall and insecurity, you made me feel cherished and valued, you brought me back to life and healed my broken soul with every sentence you read to me and every touch. I never thought I was allowed to be happy until you, I thought that having you as my friend was better than not having you at all. Every tear I have shed you have wiped away, every admission you have allowed me to hear I have basked in the embers of your trust. I accept you, Eris, I'm yours."
A soft whimper fell from his lips and then he was on you again, clawing your dress from your body and not saying a word against you as you ripped open his shirt and unbuttoned the top two buttons of his leather pants. Eris grasped your thighs and lifted you into his arms, not once breaking your kiss as he laid you both on the ground before the fire.
"You're so perfect," he muttered against your lips, pulling away for a moment to run his hands down your body, over your breasts and hardened nipples, down your stomach and thighs, inscribing the details of your scars to the diary locked in his mind, "I'm not dreaming?"
Your unbound hair swayed against your back as you sat up, taking his face in your hands and running your fingers through his hair, "It's not a dream, Eris. I'm here and I want to be yours. Forever."
Eris lay you back onto the ground, his kiss ignited every single nerve in your body, your body and soul were screaming in yearning, screaming so loud that you were starting to feel the pain of the longing. He travelled downward, swirling his tongue around your peaked nipples and your back arched at the sensation of his lips nipping and sucking on your skin. Continuing on his path, his lips dragged down your stomach, paying special attention to your sides which he knew were extra sensitive.
Before you knew what was happening, his head was nestled between your thighs that he had pried open and purred at you to keep them wide like a good girl.
Then there was his tongue, his tongue that was warm and wet, his tongue that teased your clenching entrance before moving upward and flicking softly against your clit, he encased it in his mouth and moaned, the vibrations of him sending shockwaves flowing through your body. Arching your back against the wood and thrusting yourself deeper into his mouth, you hands fisted in his hair as his tongue worked you, his finger ghosted around your entrance and pushed inside of you and you gasped at the intrusion. Eris moaned again, sucking on that bundle of nerves that had you seeing stars as his fingers slid tantalisingly slowly in and out of you, curling upward with every insertion and caressing that rough spot deep within you.
You exploded, clenching your legs around his head and crying out when his tongue did little to relent the pace it had found on you, only slowing when your legs were shaking and body jolting through the aftermath of your orgasm.
Eris hovered over you and kissed you, allowing you to taste yourself on his lips, "Let me know which stars you prefer. The ones above you, or the ones I make you see," he pumped his cock in his hand and lined it up with you, not taking his eyes off of you as he pushed into your quivering walls, he pressed his lips to your forehead and withdrew himself from you to only fill you again moments later.
The growl that came from him was enough to send you into a frenzy, all of your sense had left you the moment he had laid you on the ground and crawled on top of you, all you wanted was him filling you up with his cum and fucking it back into you repeatedly until he surely put an heir in your belly. The thought was filthy, and you loved it.
"I love you," you whispered as Eris fucked you into oblivion, your hips were surely bruised beneath his iron grip as he slammed into you over and over again, the tip of his cock reaching places within you that you didn't even know existed.
The thrum of your fulfilled mating bond hummed around you, shrouding you in that golden ethereal shimmer. A thin layer of sweat coated you both but he didn't stop the rolling of his hips, he didn't stop kissing you or whispering to you how perfect you were, how much he had dreamt of the moment where you accepted him.
"I would have waited forever for you, you complete me, Y/N," he suckled on the skin of your neck, imprinting his love on your body, "You make me feel alive, my soul is yours. It's yours."
"Please Eris," his fingers clenched around your throat and his hips slammed into you faster, he didn't choke you, he only kissed you deep enough so that you forgot whose air you were breathing.
Eris' movements were growing sloppy, his grunts were breathless and you knew he was close as your walls clenched around him, "I'll do everything in my power to make sure life wraps around you as gently as possible, your time on this planet will be as peaceful as it can be. I will love you in this life and each one we meet in after. It's you, Y/N. It's you."
For the second time that night, you saw stars, bright all consuming starlight as your soul sang, and you definitely preferred the ones he made you see.
Tumblr media
The sapphire on your finger glistened in the sunlight as you stood on the stone deck of the garden, smiling fondly at the memories that had stolen your attention away from the innocent laughter sounding a few metres away.
Arms wrapped around you, cradling your swelled stomach, orange and pine filled your senses and made you feel dizzy as your mate peppered kisses along your shoulder, "Do you know how much I love you?" Eris' voice was rough and deep, a purring tone laced within it as he smirked against your skin.
Relaxing into him, you hummed, "I think I might have forgotten, remind me?"
Eris chuckled against your skin and turned you to face him, being careful not to disturb the sleeping babe cradled in your stomach waiting to be welcomed into the world, "I love you in ways that you don't even realise, the way you love and care for others, the way you are attentive to every issue, the way you stayed composed through hardship, the way your soul lights up the world. The list of ways I love you is endless."
Eris had made good on his promise to take care of you, to light up your life and give you the world you deserved so much. He had made you his High Lady and you had changed the world, and he took no credit for that. That was all you.
Laughter made your head drift to the side, a love sick smile on your face as you watched Feyre and Rhys run about the garden chasing Nyx and your little red haired wonder, Aster, with Lucien in tow. Aster looked so much like him, the red hair and freckled skin, he had Eris' nose and cheeky smile, but his eyes, they belonged to you, pools of infantile joy that made you thank the Mother daily.
Nesta had cried when she had met Aster, they all had, she had cried when she had handed you Azriel's final letter. A letter that felt like a true apology, but more than that, he was telling you how happy he was for you, how he was so happy that you were finally living a life that deserved your light, that deserved every graceful touch of your soul. You knew he had cried on the parchment from the blotches wrinkled into the surface. Azriel was happy for you. Azriel finally understood that what you needed wasn't him, but someone who would see you for everything you were and treat you as an equal.
It’s two in the morning and I can’t sleep because every time I close my eyes I see versions of us that could have happened if you didn’t leave. This is the last time you will hear from me. I love you, y/n. I’m sorry.
You had cried for him that night, your final mourning whilst Eris pressed kisses into your hair and you held your gift of love in your arms.
Your heart was full and bursting, Eris' hand caressed your cheek and his other rubbed gentle circles into the surface of your rounded stomach, "How's my girl?" Eris' eyes were brimming with happiness, the happiness that neither of you thought you deserved.
"She's ready to meet you," you spoke softly, allowing his love to drown you, "I realised something, about us," he pulled his gaze upward, the sound of your son laughing filling your ears and bringing a serene smile to your face, "You are my everything, you are my whole life. The bond we have is all I need and knowing you love me fills me with a peace I've never known. It makes me want to melt into you and stay there forever. I'm so glad Azriel broke me, if he hadn't then I never would have found you, and we would have never had this," Aster giggled as Lucien swept him up in his arms, "I love you, and I know that wherever we go after this world, in whatever life we end up living, I will always find my way back to you. Always."
Something is happening. The sounds of the forest have died away, the birds have stopped too suddenly and the air seems to have become thicker. I began to run faster as the setting sun's rays broke their way through the canopy of the forest trees and illuminated my sweaty skin.
Running usually calmed me down. After my sister Feyre decided to go back to Prythian, I had to do something to get out of the house. Away from my other two sisters, the aristocratic elite and our father. But most of all, away from loneliness.
Feyre was the only person in my life who really loved and cared for me. We had been inseparable since we were little girls, and our impoverishment only strengthened our bond. Many people in the village referred to us as twins because we did everything together - sometimes moving in sync as if we were performing a well-rehearsed choreography.
My legs, shaking with fatigue, began to slow as soon as I saw our house. It was almost completely dark, so light filtered through the windows of the house, shining on the freshly fallen snow. My breath billowed in the air like a thick mist and I got goosebumps from the biting cold that hit my almost completely naked torso, covered only by a tiny sports bra. I hated running in a jacket, so even in winter I wore only long trousers and this bra. Nesta was furious every time she saw me like this.
"A lady can't run in clothes like that, Y/N," she shouted after me the last time. Like I was a lady. This was the furthest thing from my mind, after having spent my teen years starving and as a servant in the houses of people I now meet at balls.
A shiver ran through me as I walked up the stairs to the front door. However, it wasn't the cold that made all my hairs stand on end, but some primal instinct to get out of there as soon as possible. I shook my head to shake this silly warning out of it and went in. I walked quietly down the corridor and when I glanced at the clock in the lounge, I cursed softly to myself. I was late for dinner again. Nesta will certainly have my head for this and tomorrow I'll be the new ornament in her room.
Sighing, I headed for the dining room, knowing that I wouldn't get away with the scolding anyway, so I'd better get it over with sooner. The sound of cutlery died away as my footsteps were heard, and I braced myself for the piercing stares. However, instead of four pairs of eyes, twelve were looking at me. Stunned, I stopped at the sight, but what really caught my attention was Feyre.
"Y/N," she rose from her chair. With bated breath, I watched as she nervously tucked her hair behind her ears, showing off her pointy ears. Fairy ears. Her hands were covered in tattoos, taller and radiating a pulsing power that made you want to bow to her. I, however, stood frozen and watched as my sister stepped to me and pulled my petrified body to her. It took me a few seconds to realize what was happening, but within moments I was hugging her back and now I was squeezing harder.
"Feyre," I whispered in a hoarse voice and tears ran from my eyes. "You're back."
"Yes, I'm here," she murmured. "Just in a different way."
I pushed myself away to see her face. Her grey-blue eyes sparkled with joy, but I also saw a hint of fear.
"Are you all right?" I asked, and then started to turn her back and forth. "Are you hurt? What happened to you to turn you into a fairy?"
Feyre chuckled, then stopped me.
"I'm fine Y/N," she replied, taking my hand and leading me to the table. That's when I saw the three men.
The one Feyre now sat next to had purple eyes and black hair. His watchful gaze swept over me, and all I could think was that I had probably never seen a more beautiful man. The corner of his mouth twitched, and even though my gaze glided on to the next fairy sitting across the table, I could see Feyre giving him a warning glance, but I didn't have time to think about it much.
The long-haired man grinned and even waved, before Nesta started to snort like an angry cat. I turned to my sister with raised eyebrows and smiled faintly. It seemed I had found a partner, because so far I was the only one who could get that reaction out of my sister. My eyes flicked back to the man and I was shocked to discover the wings behind him.
Good Great Mother, it's not a fairy, it's a bat.
The previous man was already grinning too, but I forgot all about everyone else at the sight of the third fairy. I was wrong before, because the first man wasn't the most beautiful, he was. The third man was not handsome, but downright beautiful. His beautifully cut, golden brown eyes were measuring as a lock of raven black hair fell into his forehead. His black battle dress couldn't hide his muscular, tall body and his huge wings made him even more intimidating.
"Y/N," Nesta's sharp voice pulled me back to reality. "Sit down."
I automatically walked to the other side of the table and sat down on the head of the table. Right between the purple-eyed one and the long-haired one.
"Y/n, this is Rhysand the Lord of the Night Court," she pointed to the man sitting next to her, who greeted me with a nod of his head. "And this is Cassian," the long-haired one held out his hand, whereupon I hesitantly took it and squeezed. This brought a smile to his face. Up close, his face was rougher, with scars in a few places and a thicker nose in one, probably from a fracture, but he was still manly handsome.
"Welcome," he greeted me in a kind voice, and I smiled.
"And this is Azriel," Feyre finally finished, pointing to the man sitting next to the frightened Elain.
Azriel. What a beautiful name.
"Welcome to our home," I told them. Nesta, however, did not calm down.
"Our sister and her friends, they have come to visit us because they need our help," she shared with me, her eyes almost sparkling. Feyre gulped nervously and glanced towards me, causing me to smile reassuringly.
"What do you need?" I asked. Rhysand stopped eating and turned to me, his violet eyes gleaming like tiny stars.
"We'd like to send a letter to the mortal queens, because we'd like to meet them," he took his glass in an elegant gesture and took a sip of wine, but didn't take his eyes off me. "We need a place to meet them and your home would be the best place to do that."
"And what's the obstacle to that?"
This was probably where my eldest sister's thread broke, because she jumped up. At this movement Azriel tensed and reached to his side, probably for his knife. Nesta walked over to Elain and put her hand on his shoulder. I followed his example, only I stepped behind Feyre.
"Dangerous," she hissed, like a snake. There was a fury in her grey-blue eyes, now directed straight at me. "We can't allow it, especially with Elain's wedding coming up.
"Yes, we can," I replied, and I was getting angry too. "Our sister has done a lot for us. Now it's time to return the favour."
Nesta pondered my words for a while. A tense atmosphere swept the dining room, and finally Nesta nodded.
"All right," she said. "But if we have any trouble with this, you'll pay for it." She pulled Elaine up from her chair and they stormed out, probably to their room.
"Seriously, only Nesta could be such an idiot as to threaten four elves," I muttered, rolling my eyes.
Feyre's soft hand touched my arm.
"Y/N," she squeezed me gently. "What's that on your back?"
I knew what she was talking about. The scars had healed, but the marks on my skin from that afternoon were there forever. I remembered the mocking smiles, the shouting and the crack of the whip. The pain that burned down my back every time they struck.
"I was whipped in the square two months ago," I said softly.
Tears welled in Feyre's eyes, then she stood behind me to get a better look. My eyes met Azriel's. There was something in his eyes that I couldn't decipher. He looked away first, opened his wings slightly, then closed them again.
"Can you guys really fly?" the question burst out of me, and then I felt a blush flood my cheeks as Azriel returned his gaze to me. He looked a little surprised, but he answered.
"Yes."
I gasped and my stomach lurched at the sound of his voice. It was deep - and like the most velvety silk. I closed my eyes in embarrassment, thinking how much I wanted to hear him as he lay on top of me and pressed me into the mattress. As he kisses every inch of my body. And while he's inside me and our sweaty bodies press together. As if they weren't my own thoughts, but I was so embarrassed that I stepped away from Feyre and after wishing them a good night, I hurried to my room.
I couldn't sleep. Every time I closed my eyes, a pair of golden brown eyes looked back at me. Distraught, I kicked off the covers and decided to go down to the kitchen and steal some sweets. Chocolate cake has always helped me think.
The wooden floor creaked under my feet as I stepped into the kitchen and took a slice of cake. When I turned around I gave a soft cry. Azriel was sitting at the table with a surprised look on his face, as if he hadn't expected me to suddenly appear in the kitchen.
I can understand that, it's two in the morning, I thought to myself as I glanced at the clock.
"What are you doing here?" I asked as I took a seat opposite him. His eyes followed my every move.
"I'm just going to go over the letter one more time to make sure everything is in there," he cleared his throat.
I took a bite of cake just as Azriel dropped the paper on the table and rubbed his eyes.
He's tired.
With a sudden idea, I jumped up and took another fork from the drawer and handed it to him. He stared at me, startled, and finally took it from me carefully. Our fingers touched, and it was as if a spark had passed between us. I had noticed the scars on his hands at dinner, but up close they looked even more brutal.
I pushed the bowl towards him to take a bite.
"Chocolate cake always makes you feel better."
He carefully stuck a piece on his fork and popped it in his mouth.
"Thank you," he said softly, his golden brown eyes shining like stars. We ate in peaceful silence for a few minutes, then he broke the silence. "Whoever did that to your back is a monster. You have nothing to be ashamed of but him."
The fork fell from my hand in dismay, dropping loudly on the table. My throat tightened, but I tried to swallow the lump that had formed in it.
"I know," I whispered, and then before I could stop myself, I started to tell the story. "It wasn't me who was going to be flogged, it was Nesta. I merely took over for her because I knew she would never be able to live with her back looking like that." I pointed to my back, feeling my face burn.
Azriel put his hand on the table and leaned closer to me. His scent crept into my nostrils, making me dizzy and alive at the same time. My heart began to beat faster and I was sure he knew what he had triggered in me. I closed my eyes in shame and tried to control my emotions.
"You're very brave," he said. "And self-sacrificing. It seems to run in your family."
"What do you mean?" I asked, puzzled, but he just shook his head.
"Nothing."
When our eyes met, my heart skipped a beat, the way he looked at me. His eyes were now like curdled caramel and something sparkled in them. I felt an irresistible urge to lean closer to him and wrap my arms around his muscular shoulders and kiss him, pushing my way into his hair. To sit on his lap and feel his body swelling with strength beneath me.
His shadows were swaying, just like Azriel's breath, and before I could catch my breath, I was up on the chair, reaching over and grabbing his top to pull him to me.
I kissed him.
As soon as I felt his soft lips on mine, I felt an even more intense heat that was now almost unbearable. Azriel froze for a moment, but then groaned and deepened the kiss. His mouth pressed fiercely to mine, then he put one hand on the back of my head and, still kissing me, rose to pull me over to him and sit me on his lap. I felt my heart skip a beat as his tongue slid into my mouth and gently intertwined with mine. Azriel grabbed my thigh and pushed me hard against his lap as I moaned into his mouth and grabbed his hair firmly.
"Your sister would kill me if she knew what we are doing" he panted as he pulled away for a second to let us both catch our breath. His eyes were misty with lust and I was pretty sure I looked the same way.
"Probably, but who cares?" I asked, but I was halfway through mumbling the words into his mouth, because in the meantime our mouths were twisting together again. Azriel's deep, hoarse chuckle rippled through my body and I smiled. He took my face in his hands and kissed me more slowly now, more gently. It was sweet, a kiss I'll never forget until the day I die.
I bit gently into his bottom lip before he groaned and slipped his hand under my top, onto my naked back. I tensed as he stroked my scars, but he just murmured reassuringly.
"You're beautiful," he whispered and kissed my neck, right where my pulse was pounding. "Never be ashamed of them. Think of them as a painting that shows what you've survived."
I nodded, teary-eyed, and stroked his soft curls. His pouty lips curled into a warm smile and he was about to say something, when a voice came from somewhere deep inside the house.
"Azriel, time to patrol."
Azriel didn't take his eyes off me for a moment, he just pressed a kiss to my lips without a sound.
"We'll finish this one day, Y/N," he said, then pulled me off his lap. With trembling legs, I watched as he strode towards the door, but before he turned around. His eyes, glowing with desire, promised much, which made my stomach turn and I could have sworn something seemed to caress my cheek. "Maybe not when I return, but sometime in the future and I'll show you how beautiful every inch of you is."
With that promise he left.
Azriel x Reader
Words: 3.2k
Warnings: SMUT, Possessive Male Behavior, Foreplay, Shadow Restraints, Oral (fem receiving), Wing Play, Classic P-in-V, Do Not Interact With This Post If You’re Under 18.
A/N: I have been reading a lot of smut recently and this ask had me INSPIRED Please enjoy a possessive Az moment (also I’m still relatively new to writing smut so please be nice, but constructive criticism is always welcome). As always, my requests are open! <3
--------------------------------------------------
You were walking hand in hand through the streets of Velaris, enjoying the company of the notorious Spymaster of the Night Court as you made your way home to the House of Wind. You were surprised when Azriel asked you to dinner, the two of you normally only spoke during training sessions or when in the company of your shared friend group. You hadn’t even realized he was interested in you, or anyone for that matter, romantically. You weren’t even sure why you had agreed to dinner, except maybe you were curious to know more about the broody male who you had a crush on since beginning your Valkyrie training. You had to admit it was a good time he was so easy to talk to and was surprisingly funny.
As the house, well more like mausoleum, came into view he politely asked for permission before pulling you close to winnow you inside. He placed his hands around your waist, and in turn you put your arms around his neck. Much like you would if you were preparing to dance and you felt the familiar pulling sensation in your stomach as you appeared in the foyer.
“Thanks for tonight Az, I had a great time” you said in almost a whisper still trapped in the embrace of the male, you had to crane your neck for your gaze to meet his. Gods he was tall, you thought to yourself. You flashed him a sweet smile before lowering your head back down and moving to step away from him.
His hands tightened around your waist “I had a good time too” he said bringing his hand to your jaw, using his thumb and forefinger to bring your gaze to meet his. You noticed a glimmer of something in his eyes, you couldn’t quite place the emotion as he brought his mouth to yours in a passionate kiss, you brought your hands to his head, allowing your fingers to thread through his hair. He let out a throaty groan at the contact and pulled you closer your body molding against his. the kiss became more intense, from this new position you could feel his arousal through his pants, hard against you sending a rush of wetness between your legs at the thought of what he could do to you in the bedroom. Someone cleared their throat interrupting your moment, you turned to find Cassian standing in the doorway his arms crossed and an amused smirk on his face. Your cheeks immediately reddened in embarrassment.
“Rhys needs us right away for a mission” Cassian said “but I mean I am more than happy to tell him you’re a little preoccupied at the moment”
“You’re a bastard you know that” the spymaster said, turning away to readjust himself in his pants “Let me change and we can go” he said annoyance seeping into his tone.
“Thanks again Az” you said winking at him before slipping out of the room and up the stairs to your bedroom. The hushed voices of the two males echoing behind you.
--------------------------------------------------
“And that’s all that happened” I said looking at Gwyn, Nesta, and Emerie who had asked to hear all about my date with Azriel a few nights ago.
“Do you think he’ll ask you out again?” Gwyn asked
“Of course he will! I mean he was obviously interested in our girl” Emerie said with a suggestive tone.
“Well, we know Az is interested in a lot of girls these days” Nesta chimes in
“What do you mean Nes?” I asked
“Well first there was that necklace business with Gwyn, you remember that right Gwyn?” Nesta asked looking at the redheaded female, she nodded solemnly “Not to mention the hundreds of years he spent pining after Mor. And then there was his tryst with Elain, which I thought was still going on” Nesta said making eye contact with me. “I’m not trying to be a bitch, or discredit his feelings for you y/n, I just want you to be careful”
“I appreciate that Nes” I said “I’ll be careful”
The door to the roof opened interrupting our conversation as Azriel and Cassian walked into the training area.
“All right ladies let’s get this going” Cassian’s voice boomed as we began our training session.
--------------------------------------------------
It was hours later when you finally made your way downstairs, deciding to just raid the kitchen for water and snacks rather than joining the group for dinner in the dining room. You kept thinking over Nesta’s words earlier and just needed time to process the idea that Az wasn’t interested in you the way you were in him.
You felt pathetic, like this schoolgirl crush you had on the shadowsinger was suddenly out of control. Since your date, you had been imagining all these scenarios with him, picturing that you two could really be happy together that you could have a future. When in reality, Nesta was probably right, he was just looking for a hook-up. Something without obligations or commitments and you had been the most willing female. You were so lost in your thoughts you didn’t notice you weren’t alone in the kitchen until a pair of hands made their way around your waist pulling you against a hard chest. You knew from his scent, night chilled mist and cedar, that it was Azriel.
“Hello you” he said pressing a kiss to your shoulder
“Hey Az” you replied, you couldn’t help but lean into his touch. It was like your body’s reaction to him was out of your control.
“We should pick up from where we left off the other night” he said nipping at my earlobe
“We shouldn’t Az” you reply
“Give me one reason why not” the male said, trailing small open-mouthed kisses up my neck.
“Because I don’t just want to be another conquest for you”
He froze, withdrawing his hands from me.
“You can’t even deny it can you” I said turning and pushing him away before quickly moving to leave the room. he grabbed my wrist before I could take a step.
“A conquest? Do you think that little of me y/n” he said softly
“Look Az, I had a great time the other night, but I was kidding myself if I thought it was anything more than a ruse to get me into bed with you.”
“Trust me dove, if I wanted to simply get into bed with you, I wouldn’t need to take you to dinner first” the male said “and you’re kidding yourself if you think you can dismiss me that quickly” he continued taking a step towards me. I took a step back, realizing that I was up against a wall with nowhere to go.
“Because…” he begins, now standing directly in front of me.
“You” he says grabbing both of my hands in one of his and pinning them above my head against the wall.
“Are” he says trailing his other hand slowly up my body, until it rests around my neck, his thumb against my cheek rubbing a small circle there. I look into his eyes and find them darkened by lust.
“Mine” he said between gritted teeth. Finally bringing his mouth to meet mine in a possessive kiss. I opened my mouth to him allowing him better access. All doubts suddenly leaving my mind as he released my hands from the wall, bringing them both to my backside, cupping the flesh there and giving my ass a squeeze. I immediately took the opportunity to jump into him, wrapping my legs around his waist as he pushed us harder against the wall.
I couldn’t help the moan that escaped my mouth as his hard length pressed into me, the fabric of my leathers paired with the friction of his arousal sending a rush of heat to my core.
He suddenly pulled away from the kiss, bringing his forehead to rest against mine his breathing heavy and uneven “Say you want this too” he practically pleaded.
“What if I say I don’t” I tease softly, arching my back into him desperately needing more. “Will you find another willing female to get you off?” I ask.
“I don’t want another female” he says between gritted teeth “I just want you”
“Then I’m yours Az” I say, my voice thick with emotion. He doesn’t waste any time and immediately winnows us to his bedroom. Before I know it, my back is pressed into his mattress, his muscled body resting over mine as he brings his mouth to mine in a much gentler kiss. “I’m going to take my time with you” he says, kissing his way down my neck. “I have waited so long to taste you, and I am going to savor every moment y/n” he says his voice gruff as he slides to the edge of the mattress pulling me with him until my knees rest on the side of the bed.
I slowly sit up, resting my weight on my elbows as I watch the spymaster of the night court delicately unlace my boots and slide them off me. He then moves to the buckles of my thigh sheaths where I keep my daggers and slowly removes them, pressing soft kisses to each thigh as he does so. His eyes meet mine, as he begins placing soft kisses all the way up my body.
His hands come to rest on either side of my head as his lips meet mine in another kiss. with him distracted, I take the opportunity to flip him over, so he is now lying on his back, his wings splayed out beneath him as I straddle him. He brings his hands to rest on my waist and I grind into him. He lets out a groan at the sensation, using his hands to guide my waist as I continue rocking back and forth on his clothed length. While on top of him, continuing my pace, I begin to unbuckle and unfasten the top of my leathers, slowly undressing myself while grinding on top of him. Azriel’s eyes follow my every movement, his eyes hungrily taking in every inch of skin I reveal to him.
Once I am left in just my bra, and my leather pants, he sits up holding me in his lap as his hands weave into my hair pulling my head back allowing him access to my neck, where he begins kissing and sucking, leaving a trail of love bites down the column of my neck. His hands wrap around my back, unbuttoning my bra and pulling it off, leaving me topless before him. I suddenly feel very exposed and move my hands to cover my breasts, Azriel notices this and grabs both my wrists placing them around his neck.
“Don’t you dare hide from me” he says placing a kiss to my collarbone “I want to see all of you” he says placing kisses along my chest “I want to worship all of you” he says kissing my breast, pulling my nipple into his mouth, and biting gently. The sensation makes me moan into him. “You are mine” he reminds me bringing his other hand to cup my other breast, rolling my nipple between his fingers as he continues alternating his attention between both of my breasts.
Once he is satisfied, he allows me to lean back so he can remove his own top, making quick work of the leather material with all its buckles and zippers leaving us both in just our training pants. His thick cock straining through the material. He teases me by thrusting upwards, the friction between our bodies making me crave more attention, my center practically throbbing at the thought of him.
He flips us back over with ease, bringing his hands to the top of my pants where they close and begins slowly untying the knot there, I lift my hips slightly so he can pull the material down. Leaving me in only my panties under him. he takes a step back admiring me splayed out on the bed and removes his own pants and undershorts, his thick cock springing free. I make a move to go to him, to taste him on my tongue but his shadows quickly restrain me, resting around my wrists and pinning me to the bed. The same with my ankles, and another few come to rest on my knees preparing to hold my legs wide for him. He hooks his fingers into the band of my panties slowly removing them so he can see all of me, my center glistening in the soft light of his bedroom. He wastes no time before sliding a finger into me, his eyes fixated on my face, my mouth open in a silent ‘o’ as he adds another, slowly pumping in and out, my wetness filling the room with sinful sounds.
“You feel so- fucking- good” he says “Can’t wait to feel you around my cock”
He brings his mouth to me, bringing my clit into his mouth, gently sucking on it while he continues pumping into me with his fingers. He brings one hand up to cup my breast rubbing my nipple between his fingers as his shadows hold me in place. This is the best kind of torture. I feel my release quickly building like a rubber band tightening low in my stomach. I writhe against the restraints, my breathing uneven as I moan his name over and over. His pace doesn’t falter, and his fingers suddenly curl inside me, hitting the perfect spot and my release barrels through me, my walls contracting as he continues playing with my clit. I come with a loud moan.
“I- I need you Az” I manage to say between breaths, needing desperately to feel him inside me.
He brings his mouth to mine, I can still taste myself on him as he continues to finger me, his thumb taking the place of his tongue rubbing small circles on my sensitive bundle of nerves as his fingers pump into me. His shadows loosen on my wrists allowing me to thread my fingers through his hair, deepening the kiss. Azriel suddenly pulls away from me withdrawing his fingers from me, and I can’t help but whine at the loss of sensation. He brings them to his mouth sucking them off, “I knew you would taste magnificent, little dove” he says, he knew exactly what he was doing gods damn him.
He brings a hand to grasp his shaft and begins to tease me by rubbing his cock through my folds, coating it in my wetness before lining himself up with my entrance.
“Say it again” he demands
I let out whine, before registering the words he wants to hear. “I-I’m yours Az” I say
“That’s right” he says “you’re mine, and this pussy? This is mine” he growls as he pushes into me, my walls stretching to accommodate his massive size. I guess Nesta was right about the correlation between Wingspan and dick size. We both moan when he finally bottoms out inside me.
He gives me a moment to adjust, bringing his forehead to rest against mine. One hand holding my waist while the other supports his weight by my head. After a moment, I arch my back, urging him to move. He wastes no time slowly pulling out as far as he can before ramming back into me. The slow pace allowing me to feel every vein, ridge, and inch of his cock. From his position, his wings drape over us and I remember what Nesta, and Feyre had said about the sensitivity of Illyrian wings and bring my nail to stroke the membranous skin. When I do, Azriel lets out a moan, his hips bucking involuntarily at the sensation. “Fuck y/n-” he chokes out “You keep doing that and I won’t last long” I smile at him as he sets a brutal pace, the wet sounds of sin paired with flesh slapping fill the room.
Azriel suddenly pulls out of me, flipping me onto my stomach, and I arch my back instinctively as my hands move to brace myself in front of me as he slides back into me in one quick motion. He sets a slower pace the new position hitting a deeper place in me. I feel his hands on my hips, his fingers pressing into me in a way that I know will leave marks tomorrow, a semi-permanent reminder of this time together. He continues to exert his control as his hands force me to match each of his thrusts. The sensation is overwhelming, and I bring my head down to rest on the mattress, the material muffling my moans of pleasure.
His thrusts begin to become erratic as he slid one hand between us to bring his thumb to circle my clit needing to drag another orgasm out of me before his own.
“I- I’m gonna” I try to say as my release builds quickly
“I know dove, give it to me” he grunts circling my clit faster as my walls tighten once again, as another release overtakes me. The sensation sending Azriel into his own. He came with a loud moan his wings flaring behind him. After a moment, he slowly pulled out of me, the combination of both our releases slowly seeping out of me as I lay there completely exhausted my legs still shaking from my last orgasm.
He takes a deep breath before rising from the mattress, making his way to the bathroom. I hear the sound of running water as he emerges with a damp towel. He makes his way back over to the bed
“What are you-” I hiss as he brings the rag to my overstimulated core, gently cleaning me up. Once he’s satisfied, he gently scoops me into his arms carrying me into the bathroom with him.
“Let me take care of you” he says before placing me on the edge of the large tub. The tub was huge, it was large enough to easily accommodate two people, one of which being an Illyrian with room to spare. I placed a kiss against his lips and lowered myself into the hot water. I practically moaned at the feeling, the water relaxing my overworked muscles. I felt a shift in the water as Azriel entered the tub behind me. His arms wrapping around my middle pulling me so my back came to rest against his chest. I leaned into his embrace, enjoying this time with him.
A moment of silence passed between us.
After a few moments I decide to turn around and face him in the tub, this is as good a place as any for a conversation about what to do now.
As if sensing my impending line of questioning Azriel’s lips curl into a rare smile “So, when can I take you out again” he says
A smile blooms on my own face as I reply “Whenever you wish Shadowsinger, I’m all yours”
Between Feyre and Mor fussing over you and the nerves for the wedding, the day went by quickly. After the ceremony, everyone in the family got together at the river house, neither you nor Azriel wanted a big celebration, it meant more if it was just family.
Cassian kept winking at you every time you or Azriel looked at him, he also kept asking what your plans for the night were as if it wasn’t obvious. Az probably has hit him at least 5 times by now. Armen was sleeping on the couch against Varian, he was playing with her hair. Feyre and Rhys went up to bed about an hour ago, you and Azriel kept trying to go back to the house but every time you said something Mor would start to complain and guilt trip you into staying longer even though the both of you stopped drinking hours ago.
She, Cass and Nesta didn’t seem to mind, they were all still drinking, and they could hardly even stand up without any help. You were sitting on the couch with Az, he was gently stroking your thighs, listening to Cassian talk. You were doing your best to pay attention but Azriel was making that increasingly difficult the higher he moved his hand. No one else seemed to notice so you did your best to pretend nothing was happening.
Azriel suddenly stood up, you slipped off his lap confused, he bent down and lifted you into his arms. When he started walking to the door Casiaan stumbled behind him, “where the hell are you going?” He was spilling the wine in his cup with each step.
“As far away from you as I can get,” Az grumbled, his shadows opening the door for the two of you and then slamming it in Cassian's face. You could hardly hear Cassian whining over your laughter. You could see the smirk on Azriel's face as he took off from the ground. He made sure his shadows kept your outfit and hair untouched by the wind. He looked ethereal in the moon's lighting, his hair casting shadows over his beautifully sculpted face.
“And where are you taking me, shadow singer?” You placed a warm hand on his cheek, tracing the slight stubble. His smirk grew as he landed on the balcony of the room you two shared.
“To my bed to consummate our marriage, I don’t suppose you have any objections?” You yelped as he threw you into the air. Landing on the softness of the many blankets and pillows littered around the bed. You dipped around to look at him. He was simply leaning against one of the frames of the bed with his arms crossed watching you.
“Perhaps if you didn’t treat me like a rag doll I wouldn’t, I’m thinking we should wait to consummate the marriage until you learn simple manners,” You loved challenging him, he always got so competitive. A deep chuckle left his mouth, his hair falling Infront of his face, leaving you utterly breathless, gods he was perfect.
“Hmm, cute,” Azriel leaned forwards, quickly grabbing one of your ankles and dragging you to the edge of the bed. His hands dragging up your legs.
“Don’t do that you’ll ruin the dress,” You were slightly breathless as he pulled down your undergarments. Your dress is still covering you.
“What dress?” He looked back at you, the amusement evident in his voice, for a moment you were confused until the chill of the room washed over you. Your dress had disappeared, his shadows removing it from you without your knowledge.
Azriel gripped your hips, lifting you so you were on your knees, your eyes were level with his collar bones. One hand moved to grip your chin, forcing you to look up at him. “If you behave tonight I’ll let you cum as much as you want, but if you start acting bratty then I’ll make sure you don’t, understood?” You could hear the threat in his voice, he was gentle with you but you knew what would happen if you kept messing with him. And since Edit was your wedding g night you decided to behave, giving him a nod. “Words.” His right hand was ghosting over your clit, adding pressure, and making you whimper.
“I understand,” He let go of your chin, pushing you up the bed so your head fell back onto the pillows. He kneeled in between your open legs, unbuttoning his shirt. “You look pretty,” your voice was soft when you spoke. His chest and abs came into view as he threw his shirt to the side. Then when he sheds out of his pants and underwear, you were able to see all of him.
Azriel's eyes softened, he loved when you said that to him, so genuine and loving. Despite his threat from earlier, there was no way he would let his wife go unsatisfied tonight. Even if you did misbehave he would give you exactly what you wanted, he was at your mercy but you didn’t need to know that. He leaned down, placing a kiss on each knee, before laying in between your legs, slowly kissing his way up your thighs. “As do you, my love,”
You propped yourself onto your elbows, wanting to watch him. He lifted your legs over his shoulders, looking back up at you before giving your clit a kiss. Without breaking eye contact, he licked a bold strip from your entrance to your clit. You let out a shaky breath, and your mouth parted as he continued. The way he was looking at you felt so intimate, you knew he’d do anything for you. A whimper fell out of your mouth as he closed his mouth around your clit, sucking harshly, sending sparks of pleasure through your body.
You did your best not to close your eyes for too long, not wanting this moment to go away, but your arms were starting to hurt and you wanted to be able to focus on the pleasure he was giving you, he seemed to notice this, having his shadows lay you back down, they stroked your hair, whisping around your head, giving you more comfort. Azriel's moved his hand up to yours, guiding it to his hair. You pulled hard when he nipped at you, causing him to groan, the vibrations making you buck your hips into his face.
Your moans were getting louder, and his tongue moved faster, adding just the right amount of pressure. He moved one hand to your clit, rubbing circles as he moved his tongue inside of you, thrusting at a fast pace. His shadows holding you down so you don’t move too much. Your walls righting around his tongue, bringing you closer to your release. The pleasure became too much as your orgasm hit you. The sensations caused you to twitch and writhed around him. Your legs clamped around his head, you felt him groan more as your hold on his hair tightened. He worked you through the orgasm, slowing down once you were calming down.
He opened your legs up with his hands, crawling on top of your body to meet you in a sloppy kiss. You could taste yourself on his tongue, your legs righted around him again, trying to pull him against you. “So impatient, princess,” He moved one of his hands down to align himself with you, giving you another kiss before sinking into you. You both let out a breath as he was fully inside of you. His wings flared as you brought your hand up to one of them. You were always fascinated with how sensitive he was. He pulled out to the tip, and as your finger brushed against the inside of his wing he slammed back into you with a loud moan. Your vision blurred, not expecting the sudden pleasure.
“What did I say about that, love?” Azriel was breathing heavily. It wasn’t that he didn’t enjoy it when you touched his wings, he just tended to lose control when you did. He had no intention of causing any pain tonight.
“You know you don’t have to be gentle Az, I know you won’t hurt me,” He looked unsure, not completely trusting himself. You stoked his wing again, he pushed deeper into you forcing a moan from your lips. “Please,” You kissed him, showing how much you trusted him. He let out a sigh of relief and slowly pulled out, pushing back into you gently. His pace sped up with every thrust, moans and whimpers escaped his lips the more you touched his wings. The more you touched him the harder he went. His thrusts pushing you down into the mattress, not giving you any time to catch your breath. It felt amazing, you could feel the goosebumps raise in your skin, your second orgasm approaching quickly.
Azriel had raised himself, resting on his knees while holding your waist in his hands. He angled you upwards, the new angle making everything feel even better. You gripped onto his hands. Moans littered out of your mouth as your entire body went limp. You could feel the shock of your orgasm wash over you. Only being able to hear your husband's sounds. He came right after you, filling you up to the brim.
He stayed inside of you, not letting a single drop of his seed leak out of you. When you opened your eyes you saw that Azriel's cheeks were flushed and he was breathing heavily. “You should lose control more often, it’s very exhilarating,” you had a small smile on your lips, your hands resting on his.
“Don’t worry princess, we’ve only just begun our night together,” Azriel leaned down to place a kiss on your forehead, then flipped you around to your stomach. You supposed you were right, he was never satisfied with just one orgasm.
Series warnings: 18+ MDNI, angst, hurt/comfort,light smut, war, including injuries, fighting, sign language, no use of y/n, nicknames, magic, greek mythology, pining, jealousy, azriel with other women (sorry), reader with another man (get it friend ; )
A/n: I hope this Ch sheds a little light as to what reader is and about her powers. I'm a daydreamer not a writer so if you see any mistakes that's how I dreamt it. Lol
In the beginning there was Khaos. The first God in existence to precede creation. Khaos filled the space between, invoking darkness and shadow. Unable to witness her work, her intense desire to see flickered before her. Discovering her own spark, she flew towards it, the force of her wings igniting, leaving a trail of stardust; giving birth to the vast universe. From her own will khaos had created the primordial deities that would reign over the elements of the universe. And thus terra, sky, darkness, light, night and day were created.
 From the very desires of the first primordial gods, Demi Gods emerged, living among mortals and immortals. Soon enough these half gods no longer wanted the responsibility of mortals. Thanatos and his sisters, the Gods of Death grew tired of being witness to so much violence and bloodshed. Leaving their duties caused a riot. No other God would carry the burden of their responsibilities on top of their own. Those loyal to the Divine fought in the war of Gods, neither side backing down regardless of how much blood had been spilled. Khaos wept as she witnessed her slain children. Fighting against her kin, tears streamed down her face as she slaughtered her very own. Devastated, she fell to her knees in defeat, between her sobs she whispered in the ancient tongue, “I bind myself to the darkness of death, overpowering my light within so long as my spark prevails through the moonless journey.” All fighting ceased as every God witnessed khaos, bringer of life, descend to the lands in the form of a falling star. The fates of two entwined.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The house of wind was anxious, each door closed with a slam, rattling the photos that hung along the walls. The foundation, made from the mountain rock, shook and with it pieces of rubble and dust would float to the floors. Often the roaring would come back, leaving its inhabitants wide eyed and on edge.
every member of the inner circle sat in Rhys office. The air thick with tension as Azriel explained his actions, why he blocked Cassian from hurting you, why he needed to be the one to search for you. Many questions left unanswered. How did you find Velaris? And what kind of ancient magic would allow you to pass through his wards so easily?
“Rhys, I know her! We were childhood friends!” Azriel pleads, “let me find her.”
Elain’s eyes darted to Azriel, questioning his reason for his blatant lies. She knew he saw you once and never again. Yet she remained silent, a question for another day.
Rhys sighed, leaning back in his chair. All eyes were on him as he stared at the map of Prythian that lay across his desk. He took a sip of his whiskey, considering his next move. One by one he informed them of their duties, sending every member away as soon as they received their mission.
Cassian was sent to Windhaven to ready the warriors and ensure their weapons were up to par for battle. Amren and Nesta were to stay in Velaris to survey and defend the city in case you returned. Mor was to revisit the courts that had scorched farmlands and buildings, to see if there were any more details that they overlooked. Elain wished to stay in Velaris and investigate the reason the house was slowly deteriorating. Rhys agreed. Finally he ordered Feyre to accompany Azriel in his search for you.
Azriel ran his fingers through his hair in frustration, “No Rhys it has to be me alone. You can trust me.”
“After what I saw today, I’m not so sure where your mind is. I trust that you ‘ll do the right thing, but I don't agree with your current judgment so I’m sending Feyre with you.”
Azriels shoulders slumped as he nodded in defeat. Feyre placed a gentle hand on his back, attempting to soothe his disappointment.

Feyre walked Azriel back to his room but before he entered she grabbed his arm moving him to face her. “ I have a friend I need to visit and he doesn't like when others tag along,” she whispered, hoping no one else would hear her. Azriel narrowed his eyes. “ So I hope you understand that I won't be joining you on your mission,” she winked, releasing her hold on him. Azriel just smirked, mouthing her a ‘thank you.’
Back in his room, Azriel cleared his desk of all the healer books he had meticulously studied.  All these years he’d been searching for a healer when in fact you were a God, at least according to Amren. He spent hours searching Death Gods and tracing back their lineage and none had the powers you possessed, the power in which made him search for you. The power to heal. “You've been at it for hours, come to bed honey,” Elains sweet voice brought him out of his thoughts. “None of this makes sense,” he said mostly to himself as he shook his head, ignoring Elains request.
She stood behind him, gently kneading his tense shoulders with her slim fingers. His back tensed at her touch, purely focused on his work. Determined to get him to bed, Elain rested her chin on his shoulder, angling her head towards his ear as she whispered seductively her desires. His eyes fluttered closed in frustration, as she placed wet kisses to the curve of his neck, humming at the taste of him. “Not tonight.” Coldly he shrugged her off, hating the pain she held in her eyes. Without a word Elain stepped away, leaving Azriel to drown in his work, drown in his thoughts of you.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“And then I pushed through, you should have seen their faces,” you chuckled, recounting the events from Velaris to your dearest friend.  “No matter the job you always try to make it fun.” He replied, petting the hen that sat in his lap; a gift you had brought him for the delicious tea leaves he had acquired.
You smile, enjoying his company that you often missed. Out of the corner of your eye, a wisp of shadow scurries into the darkness of the night, earning your full undivided attention. Nothing but silence is heard. “What was that?” you ask, turning back to the Suriel. “An invisible thread that weaves and winds, binding hearts two of a kind.” you gape at him, blinking your eyes rapidly, “I don't even want to know.” A chuckle rattles in his throat, “go before he finds you.” Without another word shimmer and darkness envelope you, winnowing you far from the Night Court.
Azriels shadows darted through the low grounds of the woods, swerving through a dense thicket of birch trees and rock formations, scouring each bush and body of water in search of you. Once they spotted you, they quickly returned to their master, curling around his ear ,whispering ‘Suriel.’
Just as you winnowed away a blade launched itself toward the Suriel; flying through the air from a shroud of darkness, pinning his cloak to a tree. “Where is she?” he asks, tone impatient and demanding.
“Here, there, everywhere.”
Azriel pinches the space between his brows in annoyance. Shaking his head he asks another question, hoping for a straight answer.
“How do I find her?”
“Evoke emotions without a single touch, no wings yet able to fly. To catch this God let her hear the cords of the night.”
“I don’t…..these riddles. I don't understand.” Azriel paced in front of the Suriel, wracking his brain for any clues.
“The touch of a memory will carry her to you.”
“Stop with the riddles!” Azriel fumed, teeth clenched tight as he stared the Suriel down.
“Are you not a shadowsinger?” he replied, pulling out the blade that held his cloak to the tree. “I've answered your questions, whether you can decipher the meaning is no business of mine.” Finished with Azriels questioning, the Suriel made his way through the woods, hen in hand for a fresh slaughter.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
It had taken Azriel a few days to figure out the riddle. Repeating the words over and over, analyzing each term and its meaning. The line ‘hear the cords of the night’ was what led him to realize it was a song, but what song was what stumped him. He felt like a fool singing his favorite songs in the middle of the forest, belting it out with his whole chest.
He sang songs that made him teary eyed and even sang songs in the ancient tongue, but none of those had lured you to him. The Suriel mentioned ‘the touch of a memory,’  “oh Gods, I’m an idiot,” he said to himself. He only had one encounter with you, so it was easy to remember the events of that night, all these years he could never forget. He would never forget the song, the song he thinks is about you. His mother sang this song to him as a child and he wonders if she knew the dark power you possessed, was she singing to a God in hopes to answer her prayers, to lift her from the chains that held her down.
The house of wind kindly provided warm tea and honey. It's eagerness to assist him piqued his curiosity. He would ask Elain about her findings another day. Soothing his vocal cords, a plan was formed to capture you and send you to the prison on top of the mountain.
You're the chaos of the night,
A little girl lost in the woods
You're a folktale, the unexplainable
You're a bedtime story
The one that keeps the curtains closed
And I hope you're waiting for me
'Cause I can't make it on my own
I can't make it on my own.
Azriel sang the words from his childhood, voice harmonious with a smooth baritone that held the memories from the past. He sang from the depths of his heart in hopes that the meaning behind his words would grace your ears and become a light in the dark. Guiding you towards his waiting arms.
Weathered leaves crunch under the weight of your relaxed body, grass floor cold and damp from the night. But the view of the stars in the Night Court were your favorite, they called to you as if saying 'stay.' Stars glitter like rare diamonds, and the crescent moon smiled brighter than the sun. The evening scent of mist and night felt familiar in the way that reminded you of home. It had been so long since you’ve been home, the thought of never returning grew closer and closer.
The midnight breeze caresses your skin, its gentle touch has your eyes closing, focusing on  the chirping of crickets and running water. A mellow voice sings the harmonious music of the night, its soft whisper tickles your ear like a past lover, luring you to follow the rich sound.
I hope you're waiting for me
Across your carpet of stars
You're the chaos of the night,
You're everything that we can't see
Chaos, you're the possibility.
Azriel ceases to sing once he spots you round a thick tree, his shadows excitedly rush towards you and Azriel curses under his breath at their eagerness. He observes as they affectionately coil around your neck, fluffing about in your hair before they trail down your arms. You giggle at their curiosity as they loop around your fingers, “you wanna play?” you ask, as you slowly move your fingers in awe at their closeness. They playfully bounce from one hand to the other, and you take that as a yes. Azriel is dumbfounded as he admires his shadows from afar. He has his arms crossed over his chest as he leans against a tree, his gaze slowly trails up the delicious curves of your body and he imagines what it would be like to lay with a God. He sees you smile and nod at whatever they’ve whispered in your ear and he fears you both are up to no good. As the shadows dance in a circle just a few feet in front of you, they rapidly circle around and around creating a whirlwind of darkness. Cautiously you near the edge of their tornado and zap one of the shadows, creating an orb of light within the vortex. You're mesmerized by the display in front of you. Your power bounces off the shadowed wisps like an elegant dance, the wisps gently stroke the flame of your power, careful to not get scorched.
With the blink of your eye the orb bursts, spraying the ground and trees with thousands of specs of glittering starlight. Azriel feels a jolt of electricity zip up his body, shaking him so hard he loses balance off the tree, quickly righting himself before you notice. His effort is too late, you've already spotted him.
“You're not a stalker are you?” you ask, voice playful and curious as you near him.
If you only knew, Azriel thinks with a smirk.
“No, but I can be. Nice party trick by the way.” Azriel pushes off the tree to meet you. The first thing you notice is his eyes, hazel and dreamy framed by long thick lashes. His nose is straight and a little too perfect for a warrior, you wonder if he’s ever been punched in the face before, or maybe he's just that good at fighting. His high cheekbones and strong jaw remind you of the many demi gods that have been sculpted throughout the years. You eye him up and down, taking in his stature and broad shoulders. He’s a little too handsome and in your experience these types of males are conceited snobs who only enjoy their own reflection and company. Meanwhile Azriel does the same, completely entranced by the sway of your hips and how your hair flows over the swell of your breasts.
“They seemed friendly.” you respond, tipping your head to the shadows that have swirled around the both of you, appearing to close the distance between you.
Azriel shakes his head, “I meant in Velaris. You threaten my home, my friends and my High Lord and expect to get away with it? How did you get past the wards? And how did you find Velaris?”
Before you could respond the ground shakes as a blast erupts creating a cloud of dust and forest debris. Instinctually Azriel pulls your body flush to his, shielding you from injury. Dark membranous wings curl around your body, cocooning you safely in his arms. Your hands find the planes of his toned chest as you peer up at him through your full lashes. You know what the blast was but the feeling of his body pressed against yours had your knees weak, and you couldn't break away.
Azriels heart is ramming against his chest at the proximity, his gaze is locked on your brilliant eyes as he dares to cup the side of your cheek. Angling your face to meet his, your exposed collarbone catches his attention when a bargain tattoo vanishes before his eyes; breaking the trance you had him in.
“What did you bargain?” he urges, hands now tightly gripping your upper arms.
“Your worst nightmare.”
Azriel staggered back, paling in horror as he registered your words.
Only one creature carried that name.
Bryaxis.
