Engagement Treaty Announced

At the end of the grand, scandalous coronation ceremony the New Emperor Victor held for himself and his family, another announcement was made: The solidifying of this new Empire through an engagement.

The thought that immediately comes to mind for most citizens would be that the likely candidate would be Prince Jonas, who is still as of yet unattached after his break-up with Crown Princess Ophelia. But who could he be getting engaged to?

The shock and terror of the coronation persisted when it was revealed that it was not the adult Prince Jonas who was getting engaged, but instead the children- Princess Emma Lofton-Strauss and the new Crown Prince Damien Colona!

Emperor Victor announced that this engagement was to "solidify the bonds of Friendship and Worldbuilding between the New Windenburgian Empire and the Old Colona Blood of Newcrest into the strongest ties of all- that of Family"

"The marriage will not go ahead, of course, until both parties have reached the age of Majority," the new Emperor continued, "but still, we look forward to the long and prosperous union between our two countries and the hope for the future that it brings."

Needless to say, most people throughout the Simsdom continent, and even within Windenburgian borders have expressed their discomfort (at the least) and disgust and outrage (at the most) that two innocent young children are being forced into an engagement against their wills, when neither is at an age where they could intelligently or clearly express their opinions on the matter.

Their outcries have fallen on deaf ears, because the New Windenburgian Empire has still not yet released a statement in response to the public's reaction, and are not likely to. The new Emperor Victor is not the type to bend to public opinion. All any of us can hope is that this war ends soon, and these two children are released from their agreement and allowed to live a normal childhood.
