The Crap that is the True Alpha Plotline in Teen Wolf

Can someone explain to me what a “true alpha” is in Teen Wolf please? I see it all the fucking time (always delusional Scott McCall and Tyler Posey stans using it to prove that Scott is superior and smarter and better than everyone else and blah blah) but I have no idea what the fuck it means

Okay. Here we go.

Apparently (according to the writers), a “True Alpha” is when a beta werewolf becomes an alpha without killing, and instead through their own sheer strength of will, and that somehow makes them “better” than other alphas (stronger, faster, etc.).

It is the biggest bullshit that I have ever seen written into a show.

I did an entire post about how it was the equivalent of handing Scott a “get out of morality jail free” card. I honestly feel that they wrote it into the show to try and salvage Scott’s character because no one was liking him anymore, and all the fans really wanted was more of the side characters. (that’s what happens when you write better side characters)

It was a pathetic, half-handed attempt to try and make the main character special and likeable again, and it failed at both.

Also, that entire plot line was one of the worst bits of acting I’ve ever seen. Look, Posey could have played Scott as sweet and bumbling and I would have loved the character! It would have been great if they had leaned into Scott’s caring side as we saw how he was with his mom in the beginning, so it would have made perfect sense! Posey was great at playing sweet and trying too hard, but putting him into a position to play a morally righteous powerful alpha was just a hard pass.

I honestly think Scott would have been likeable if he’d been more of a himbo. I liked him as a himbo in the beginning because it was the perfect foil against Stiles’ shrewd and silently malicious nature. They could have done so much with that...but instead they turned Scott into a self-righteous prick, who was all “I’m the True Alpha, and other people can deal with the consequences of my shitty, under thought actions on their own” kind of guy.

So, to sum up, a True Alpha is a douchecanoe -- it is the cheap, crappy tampon of writing, trying to soak up all of the character deficits of Scott McCall that the writers decided not to address or fix by being better writers.

Supergirl: let both siblings be gay. Winn Scott had it right episode one. Straight besties don’t look at each other like that. Came for the superhero’s stayed for the lgbtq crack.

Dare me: was this the reason I joined cheer. Maybe No absolutely not. Attractive women could end me and I’d say thanks. Sharing a name with main character is wack. But not in a bad way yk.

Legacies: no knowledge of the rest of the series. Only this matters. Can you see why I stayed. Hint it’s for the gay. Why are the men here. Do they need money.

The 100: past season 3 does not matter. Clark can suck it. Only good thing is Raven and potentially Maddy. Watch because of middle school nostalgia. And more pretty people.

Umbrella academy: Elliot page. Dance sequences. Quirky, questionable, queer. Good character growth. Like Luther from boring daddies boy to love struck himbo. No one can stop me from liking this. Sloan could stab me and I’d apologize for dulling the blade.

Wynonna Earp: they jogged so we could run. Wayverly and Nicole my goodness. And people wonder why I’m a lesbian.

Scream: only season 1 and 2. Season three does not exist. I do not believe in it. Bex Taylor Klaus as Audrey. Stickin to the trend here. Savior complex tells me to fix villain. So many reasons to be lesbian. Am I a true crime podcast junkie or gay for piper. We may never know. It’s both.

Inside job: Oprah runs the Illuminati. Grumble Stan meets Rick. Caffeine addict never sleeps and creates sentient life from zeros and one’s. Conspiracy theorists dream. Except flat earthers. Haha suck it. Bagel man makes friends.

Disenchantment: family dynamics, cat demon with drinking problem. Boot princess with drinking problem. Green elf dude with drinking problem. Laughing horse. Bean and mermaid. Finally the rep we deserve. Can someone say mommy issues.

Derry girls: quick laughs. The office if it was set in a family and it’s Irish. Awesome accents. Nervous lesbian overthinks breathing. Does it count as gay panic if they’re always panicking.

Random question, but I remember reading an ask of yours a while back about how you would recast good girls and thinking it was so much fun!! So, if there was a modern-day Friends (or a modern-day version of any of your favorite sitcoms/shows), how would you make it different? Would you make any changes to the main ch, who would you cast? Etc etc ♡

Ah! Thank you, anon! I genuinely love doing recasts, so I'm delighted you liked that one, and am thrilled you sent another!

Friends is actually such a tricky one, because it was such a perfect little catalyst in terms of its cast and its characters and their chemistry, and I think we've seen over the years how hard that is to replicate (because lord knows networks have tried). But! I love the challenge, soooo lets start with the cast:

Okay, yes, I loved her in both Bridgerton and Sex Education, but to me Simone Ashley is really an actress who's still growing, much in the same way Courtney Cox was in Friends. In so many ways, I can't imagine a greater role to grow in than Monica, who's equal parts funny and dramatic, protagonist and antagonist, romantic lead and narrative foil. She's a character who's always moving, and I just feel like Simone could play that so well.

Full disclaimer: I haven't seen How I Met Your Father yet, but I've always thought Suraj was an actor who should've had a better career. From Life of Pi to Homeland to Happy Death Day 2U, he's got both the range and the charisma. Ross isn't an easy role to play, and I feel like he could bring out the best sides of him. Plus seeing him play Simone's brother would be a delight, and I feel he'd just be an incredible romantic lead toooo....

I mean, come on, this feels like a no-brainer, right? I can't imagine an TV actress currently working who could better embody Rachel's charm and confidence and throughline vulnerability than Victoria, and I feel like her arc of runaway bride to successful and independent woman would just be one she'd embody so well.

I always feel like Darren sells the comedy in Never Have I Ever better than the dramatic sequences, and his himbo-with-a-heart-of-gold stylings just feels totally perfect for Joey.

In sooo many ways, I feel like Cheyenne in Superstore is an AU version of Phoebe, haha, but they're different enough too that I feel like the role of Phoebe would be something Nichole could really pivot to something fresh, modern and exciting. Plus she's so cute and I love her.

Chandler was genuinely the hardest one for me to cast. There are definitely older actors who fit the bill (Adam Scott being the one who immediately leapt to mind), but no one who fit that mid-to-late-twenties range that would be needed for a re-cast.

After a lot of thought, I landed on Shameik, which the more I think about, the more I love. Chandler's not really an easy role to play - he's got this not-quite-warmth-not-quite-coldness to him that's defined by an acerbic sense of humour and a genuine loyalty to those around him, a boyishness that's somehow contradicted by being the only one with a 'real adult' job at the start of the series, to moving from quippy sidekick to true romantic lead. It's not an easy role to balance, but Shameik's done all that and more across his career. To see him do it in the one role - and to do it opposite Simone and Suraj in particular - feels dreamy as all hell.

As for changes, yeah! There are a few. The biggest change I'd make to the show would be scrapping the plotline with Rachel's pregnancy. I don't think the show needed it, and the fact that it resulted in her staying in New York at the end of the show's run was, I think, a real betrayal of her character.

And this might be a controversial opinion too, but I think it was a bit of a betrayal of Ross' too. I forever wish the show had gone deeper in exploring Ross co-parenting Ben with Carol, and the fact that Ben was really overshadowed in later seasons for Emma really bummed me out.

In that sense, I think if I was to reframe the series, I'd definitely be making Carol and her new partner, Susan, and Ben much more prominent characters, and have Ross and Carol co-parenting being a bigger part of Ross' overall arc. (Also, okay, hear me out - Kiersey Clemons and Tati Gabrielle as Carol and Susan respectively)

The show wasn't Great with sexuality in general, but it kind of had these built-in avenues to explore it in much more exciting and authentic ways than it did, and Carol definitely offered that, but so did Chandler's father, who I'd love to write in in a bigger way, and I think it genuinely makes sense that both Joey, Phoebe and Rachel at least be bi.

Otherwise, I'm not sure! What do you think?

Ok so I'm kind of in an existential crisis with creating atm. I've been in survival mode for a while just from being really busy and bouncing around jobs a lot. I'm hoping I'll get out of it soon but unfortunately I haven't finished anything in a loooong time.

Most recent thing I finished was a short comic that got into an anthology! It's a horror story about a demon who's in love with his human friend, who does not know he is a demon. Here's sweet oblivious woobie Scott (left) and spooky guy Joe (right), drawn by my husbando @brainsplurge

Horror has been the main thing I've been working with lately. I've been trying short stories in hopes of working back to longer stuff. My favorite characters to write are "goofball/dumbass with a hidden sadness who is either really lucky or secretly super competent and you'll never know which", angsty and/or creepy mentally ill men, and antisocial asexual girl who may or may not be a self insert.

One of my faves currently is technically not a story character; he's my character in a Starfinder game I'm currently part of. Rami is part of a species that, at puberty, decides if they want to be the smart or strong subtype of their species. Rami picked strong, but he wants to be both. He also has a pet cat-centipede drone. He's my himbo son. Also drawn by husb:

Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare My rating: 3 of 5 stars I want to start this review by saying that strengthening beef tea sounds AWFUL. This is an incredibly scatterbrained review; I’m sorry. I took random notes as I read, and it’s going to make not a lick of sense but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I have some questions about werewolves in this universe. So they believe lycanthropy is some demon disease or something, and you must be bitten to become a werewolf. But it also seems like they can control their shifts and do half changes after some time. So here’s my question. What happens if a werewolf is half shifted and bites someone or claws someone like Woolsey clawed Will? Can that person get infected? Or can they only be infected on a full moon or when the werewolf is entirely shifted? Also, can werewolves have werewolf babies???? It is quite possible that this was answered back in City of Bones, but that was like six books ago. Sorry but I love that Isabelle’s demon-sensing ruby pendant was passed down through the family as a gift from Magnus to Will. And now he’s dating Alec. That’s one of the reasons I enjoy this whole universe. I think it’s cool to see how things interconnect, but I wish I would’ve kept up to date on this when I first read it because there are so MANY of them. It’s like watching the Arrowverse shows in chronological order, which is something I have done—twice. Why, you ask? Because I like to torture myself. Don’t even ask me how many times I’ve watched the MCU chronologically. OH, TESSA, YESSSSS. “I have come to realize something about novels. That they are not true.” You have no idea how much joy this brings me because it annoyed the living shit out of me when Tessa would correct people based on what she’d read out of fictional novels. I am so proud of you, girl. You’ve come so far. Woolsey Scott can get run over repeatedly by a horse-drawn carriage, that is all. He doesn’t understand the point of women…PAH. You would not exist without women, you ugly little troll. Tessa can correct him all day long; I’m not even a little bit mad about it. I’d do it too. She also ended his whole life with the sickest burn ever. I like Tessa way more in this book. MELIORN, NAME DROPPP ISABELLE. YOUR FAERIE BF WAS OLD AF GROSS. Ugh, Tessa gets kidnapped by Mrs Dark, who cannot stay dead. Forever mad about how Jessamine’s character was handled. I feel like she was just thrown to the dust and killed for no reason. The fact that she returns with her hair shorn and all weak and immediately dies is so sad. And then she becomes a ghost doomed to haunt the Institute she hated forever. Also, the fact that Will gave her the Shadowhunter farewell when she was so against being a Shadowhunter. Like I know she betrayed everyone, but I feel for her. Idk. My confusion about the mechanics of the iratze continues. It could not entirely heal Gideon’s injured leg—it’s not clear exactly how it’s injured, but it was able to heal Jace’s broken arm completely?? HUH? Also, are blood replacement runes dangerous or not? They’re mentioned as dangerous when they’re thinking of giving them to Jem, but Gideon has two of them for his injured leg? I feel like the relationship between Mortmain and Will’s family was super underutilized. Cecily barely mentions it and only brings it up when it’s prudent to the plot—when she’s telling Will he’s in Cadair Idris. I want to know precisely how Will’s family connected with Mortmain. Were they old pals? Did his dad have afternoon tea with Mortmain? Did Cecily like him? Did their mom? Gideon is a himbo. He’s an awkward little himbo, and I ship and Sophie so hard. LOL, forever that the Lake Llyn in Idris is called Lake Lake The Consul randomly shifting into this sexist shit heel is super weird and incredibly frustrating to read. I can’t remember if he dies in this book, but I sincerely hope he does. Like the fact that he won’t listen to anything, Charlotte has to say, because why? Is it just because she’s a woman who’s better at things than him? This book is supposed to be third-person limited, but sometimes I think CC forgets and tells us things that the POV shouldn’t know. Like Charlotte’s POV, somehow knowing that Sophie would have smiled if her ‘heart hadn’t been pounding with the knowledge that she might have done something dreadful’ but also like this is Charlotte’s POV, so how did she know that? There are a few more instances like this towards the end, which throws me off. Sorry, this bothers me. So Jessamine told us in CP that Tessa’s parents were a shadow hunter and a demon. Okay, we don’t know the specifics, but we know this as fact. Then when Tessa finds out her father was a demon, she’s super shocked. And when Aloysius conveniently overcomes his senile mind to tell Charlotte all the missing answers, she’s shocked that Tessa’s mom was a Shadowhunter rather than Tessa being distantly related to Aloysius. Like Charlotte, you already know that Tessa’s mom is a Shadowhunter! That’s why she doesn’t have a warlock mark, my god. These people are idiots. And then Tessa acts shocked AGAIN when Mortmain tells her. Like why can no one put things together lmao? Like when Hyacinth tells Tessa the story about changelings and then shortly after Jessamine tells her what her parents were, I immediately figured it out. All the pieces were there, dammit. Like Tessa, stop being shocked that you’re half demonnnnn. You’ve known it for three books. Be more upset that a demon raped your mother! Also, why does she show no shock at the fact that she can bear children? She acted so slighted when Will made that jab at her. What is this trend of Tessa listing things she knows about people? Like girl, why are you like this? Damn, Ithuriel has had a horrible life. First imprisoned in Tessa’s clockwork Angel and then imprisoned by valentine. Poor guy. Oooh! Okay, Mortmain says Tessa can do magic, but like, WHERE?! DO SOME MAGIC, TESSA. Like dammit, I wish she had been learning to do magic from Magnus while learning how to fight. Imagine how cool she would’ve been at the end of this. I’m angry. Also, Mortmain made Tessa specifically so she could bear his babies like GROSSSSS FOREVER. Also, forever curious about Tessa’s kids now. If they have both shadow hunter blood and her warlock blood….can their kids do magic? Can they shapeshift? Can they bear runes? I have so many questions. Hi, question. How does Tessa know that Charlotte wept over Jessamine’s death when she wasn’t even there to see Jessamine die??? So Will finds Tessa, and they cry over Jem and then bone immediately afterwards. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Also, I imagine that when the Silent Brother saves Cecily and it’s revealed to be Jem, he was like

God, Tessa gets kidnapped AGAIN. Ugly tears at Will and Jem’s reunion. JUST KISS YOU TWO. CC really does have a habit of repeating themes in books. Aloysius, Tessa’s last remaining relative, gets killed before she finds out the truth about herself. Imogen, Jace’s last remaining relative, gets killed before he finds out the truth about herself. Also, how she killed the Inquisitor in TMI disappointed me just as much as Consul Wayland was killed in this book. I wanted him to survive so he could see Charlotte was right and have to be all bitter and resentful as she replaced him as Consul. Instead, he gets his head chopped off in the middle of his misogynistic rant. I was so underwhelmed. The villain was once again turned into jelly because an Angel killed him…. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ “How could I say farewell to you?” *sobs forever* Am I wrong for thinking that Jem and Will are in love? I’m sorry, I ship them far more than anyone else in this series. THIS IS SUCH A GOOD LINE, MAN. Did Charlotte mean to change Sophie’s name to Sophia randomly? Okay, so I will admit I 100% teared up at Jem’s goodbyes to Tessa and Will, and I teared up at Will’s death. She got me in the feels there, and I don’t even like Will that much. So kudos to you there, Cassandra. Now, here’s what I’ve got to say about the ending. What is CC’s aversion to killing off people? Like she killed Max off, yes, I know, but like he was barely a character in the books. Is it like she doesn’t want to kill off any of her mains or something? Like some throwaway Silent Brothers die in the final battle. Aloysius dies, but like that, was mimicking a previous plot in her last trilogy. The Consul dies, but again it is much like the Inquisitor’s death in the City of Glass. None of the mains die or even get hurt save for Henry, but honestly, it’s probably better for him anyway because now no one can ever ask him to leave his lab. I bet he’s pumped about all the potential inventing he can get done uninterrupted. And also, everyone gets paired off in like a perfect little happy bubble. Cecily and Gabriel get married. Sophie becomes a Shadowhunter and marries Gideon. Charlotte and Henry have a baby, and she gets to be Consul and stay in the Institute. Tessa gets to marry Will, the guy she wanted the most (don’t argue, it’s true), while Jem lives forever as a Silent Brother, then gets a Deus ex machina cure in the next trilogy, and now he and Tessa get to live happily ever after. Like….I’m surprised Brigette and Cyrus didn’t also get married. Some of my favorite lines in the book, aka the lines that are CC trying way too hard to sound old-timesy. * “But…we quarreled!” * “Is it not I.” * SHE SMILED INTO HIS EYES????!?!?!?!? the voyage home: a heist movie

okay i was watching the one with the whales again (because it SLAPS) and i realized that it’s basically a heist movie?? i mean, it has the premise of a time travel movie, but it’s a heist movie about STEALING WHALES and bringing them to the FUTURE.

bonkers.

so i’ve been assigning the crew oceans eleven-type heist roles. i would draw them but alas, ‘tis not in my skillset. if anyone wants to draw this, i would love to see it.

Jim Kirk: The Face

i mean, pretty self-explanatory, i think. kirk’s putting in the WORK to get those whales. he’d be better at it if spock didn’t keep calling him “admiral” and using colourful language improperly, but he’s not his husband’s boyfriend’s colleague’s keeper, is he?

Nyota Uhura: The Hacker

good on comms, super fucking smart, definitely the brains behind the “break into the nuclear wessels” plan. she’s carrying that team. what’s the first thing that happened to chekhov when they got separated? he got arrested, then fell off a cliff. enough said there. god, she’s so pretty.

Hikaru Sulu: The Driver

i mean, the man gets to fly a helicopter! also, he’s in charge of yelling out what warp factor they’ve reached, so i think that counts.

Pavel Chekhov: The Thief

listen, i didn’t say he was good at it. but he did help uhura with the nuclear wessels plan, and he was surprisingly cool under pressure, despite falling off a cliff during the ensuing chase.

Montgomery “Scotty” Scott: The Brains

i can’t give this to anyone else. scotty made a whale tank! and figured out how to recrystallize dilithium using ‘80s tech! and he used a keyboard! fucking superb, you funky little engineer!

S’chn T’gai Spock: The Muscle

Which Empires SMP character is which Disney Princess. A post inspired by @pacificwaternymph‘s post here

This post also comes with my reasoning as to why each character is which. Don’t fight me on this because if you do I will come back with list of which empires smp character is which monster high character.

Yes I used unofficial disney princesses. No not every official princess is on this list. Yes it does get more strange as the list goes on. Sorry some of us are vibes only type of people.

1. Ariel and Lizzie. Fish people who marry land people. Need I say more.

2. Elsa and Scott. Although Elsa does begin her life with control over her powers, she looses that control as in her teenage to early adult years like any good gifted kid. Scott doesn’t begin his life with control over ice but he does not have control over it when he gets it.

3. Belle and Gem. Okay, Belle may not have any magic powers but she is smart, and so is Gem. I am of the strong belief that if Gem was not a wizard she would be a lot like Belle. Also - Belle would have started a wizard academy if she were a wizard.

4. Aurora and Katherine. I’ll be the first to admit ‘the princess who sleeps for most of her movie doesn’t really fit Katherine’ YES SHE DOES. Not the sleeping thing but the three fairy god mothers thing. She was 100% raised by the overgrowth. Also I feel like Katherine would just like her outfits. If you disagree make your own post/lh

5. Cinderella and Shrub. Rags to riches, maid/farmers daughter to queen. Shrub went through horrors by the hand of Xornoth and Cinderella went through abuse by the hands of her step mother. Also - animal companions.

6. Merida and Pearl. Magic/Nature helps them, Pearl and Merida would get along well as friends. Both are good at their respective combat skills (Sword fighting and archery) and neither would ‘settle’ for some dude just cause their parents want them too. Also good contender is Mulan.

7. Snow White and Jimmy. That man is a himbo. He WOULD eat a poisoned apple. He WOULD fall into a coma and need true loves kiss. Also - Animal companions.

8. Mulan and Fwhip. Their propensity for explosions to solve their problems and also their desire to protect those they love, willing to even go to war for them is large. They would, at least, get along well.

9. Alice and Joey. Joey is Alice from Alice in Wonderland. You can’t convince me otherwise. i don’t even have reasoning for this he just IS.

10. Rapunzel and Sausage. You can’t convince me that Sausage getting possessed by Xornoth isn’t similar to Rapunzel being trapped in the tower by Mother Gothel. Also I just KNOW Sausage loves to paint. Deep in my heart. He loves to make murals.

11. Jane and Pixl. Pixlriffs and Jane Porter (tarzan) are both smart, good at what they do, and strong. Jane teacher Tarzan english, Pixl probably taught Jimmy to read. Pixl is a ride or die, and so is Jane. Fuck you.

12. Megara and Joel. I’m fucking right. My actual reasoning is that Joel would get into a deal so bad that he’s stuck helping the god of death, but also because Lizzie is very strong and would be able to revive Joel if he ever died.

We need to talk about your "livin' on a prayer" AU bc it's so god I swear GORKDJDIFODKDKS SO GOOD AND CHUBBY DANIEL!!! AND JOHNNY FEAR OF DANIEL LEAVING HIM 😭😭😭

Omg I'd love to because that AU was one of my personal favorites to write! I just really love, love, love fics where Johnny and Daniel are together in the 80s or 90s. I've also always loved Bon Jovi and Livin' On A Prayer is one of my favorite songs from them and it was so easy for me to picture young Daniel and Johnny in the place of Tommy and Gina from the song.

The honeymoon period of the relationship is over and the romance isn't dead, but it's harder to balance between love and everyday struggles as Johnny is kind of drifting without any real direction after he dropped out of college, day drinking and struggling to hold on to his job at the diner while Daniel works an equally shitty job as a grease monkey (which he actually likes). But they've got each other and that's a lot for love 🥰

I saw Johnny in this AU as someone who is a little immature and really insecure and has this moody sadness to him and a tendency to take Daniel for granted sometimes. But he can also be really, really sweet and I honestly think his life would be very dark without Daniel in it.

And the same is true for Daniel. Johnny drives him crazy sometimes, because unlike Daniel who grew up with a single mother and had to grow up pretty fast, Johnny has spent most of his life in luxury and never really had to take care of himself until now. But Daniel loves Johnny with all of his heart and wouldn't give his sweet himbo of a boyfriend up for anything!

And yessss chubby!Daniel superiority!!! I love him 🥰 I actually had these inspirational little pictures in my google docs when I wrote the fics in this AU and I always see Daniel as a mix of Ralph from Crossroads (the hair), Teachers (the outfits) and TKK (the cheeks and thicc 🍑 ass!). And post-high school Johnny always looks like some version of Scott McCall in my head with the mullet and the beefcake build with the sweet face and sad eyes.

I also didn't officially include this fic in the Livin' On A Prayer verse, because it takes place years later, but I always see it as a spiritual sequel to the Tommy and Gina era AU. I like to think it's Daniel and Johnny after they made it ☺️

Jason/Kim: You don’t understand why Kim ever fell for Tommy when Jason was right there. Kim/Matt: You still retain some affection for Matt from his GGPR early days and were one of the few people that actually felt bad when he died in Shattered Grid. Also, chances are, you remember that Dear, John Letter episode from the live series and think he’s the guy. Zack/Trini: You believe that the Power Rangers: Pink series is better than anything going on in the current continuity and, truth be told, this is actually pretty healthy as future scenarios with these two go. Trini/Kim: You believe in the inherent eroticism of two powerful young women having the greatest lesbian power dynamic of all time. Billy/Jason: I can’t prove that you have a blog of fanart in different fandoms that revolve around short boys/tall boys or smart kids/jocks, but I can say it is a distinct possibility. Jason/Tommy: You don’t understand why Tommy ever fell for Kim when Jason was right there. Tommy/Kim: You are a sucker for first love stories and cried your fucking eyes out at the beginning of Shattered Grid when they were gonna kiss and Tommy got stabbed in the back. You’re praying that their getting a sentient alien tiger that they all respect and take care of means that their “moving in” together actually means something. Aisha/Rocky/Adam: You are a firm believer in the Rule of Three and Childhood Friends to Lovers. Rocky/Adam: You aren’t saying there’s anything wrong with how much these two touch or end up in close proximity, but they are totally gay and Adam needs something better than being hit on by an alien that tried to help take over the planet who is at LEAST a hundred years too old for him. Rocky/Matt: You love the jock/himbo aesthetic; if you need proof, please remember that most times they interact? They’re usually sweaty and talking about sports. Aisha/Kim: Same thing as Trini/Kim, except you also have a kink for power imbalance and rookie vs veteran dynamic. Kim/Skull: You loved that one issue in GGPR where Kim was trying to get over Matt and Skull proved to be an absolute gentleman when it counts. Or you possibly carried over your preferences from the original series. Whatever you like to tell yourself. Bulk/Jason: You love when two hot heads with issues who present as Tops are actually a Bottom and Switch with WAY more in common than not. Jason/Lauren Shiba: You are totally okay with two damaged people finding solace in each other on the brink of total destruction. But... *KNOCK KNOCK* FBI, OPEN UP! Jen Scotts/Kim: You have a fetish for brunettes that could stomp you to the ground and radiate pure bisexual icon energy through any situation. Coinless Bulk/Ranger Slayer Kim: You believe in the course of true love being found through trauma and unwilling betrayal and one person in the whole world believing that you deserve forgiveness. Or you just like character growth bringing two people together. Black Sentry Adam/Scorpina: You just love the idea of SOFT! MEN! GETTING! PEGGED! Black Sentry Adam/Coinless Spy Skull: You didn’t want their lives in Drakkon’s palace to be completely devoid of affection. Which is fair. Zordon/Rita: You are a firm believer in the inherent eroticism of two enemies still somehow trusting the other after all they’ve put the other through. Or you have major, major daddy issues. Rita/Zedd: You didn’t see anything problematic about the original series in that Rita basically drugged and date raped a guy to make him tolerable. You also saw no problem in this backfiring on both parties involved after the Z-Wave and hope the comics continue in this vein. Zordon/Zedd (aka Zophram of Eltar): You have shipped Xavier/Magneto at some point in your life. Goldar/Scorpina: You read that one Annual where they basically had a date at the fair and refuse to think of them as heartless monsters ever again. And who could blame you? Grace/Terona: You are a firm believer in the inherent eroticism of mutual trauma turning to romance--on the moon. Billy/Matt: You have a fetish for intellectuals taming and/or fixing hot head alpha males. Zack/Violet: It’s like the Lois-Clark-Superman dynamic, but in reverse. You’re totally okay with nothing happening until the last second. Skull/Billy: You just want good things for these childhood friends turned bully/victim turned hero/admirer. And really, who wouldn’t?
