HAPPY (late) RIKI DAAAAY!! wishing the happiest and sweetest birthday to our lovely riki. celebrating by writing all my lovely ni-ki stans a little headcannon. enjoy!

genre: fluff. established relationship. idol! x reader. headcannon.

warning: some mentions of arguments and skin ship like kissing and cuddling.

- you and riki had been introduced to eachother by mutual friends. he for some reason found himself always wanting to impress you each time he saw you. thats how he found out he liked you.

- the weird feeling he would get in his chest when he saw you was actually just the butterflies. even if he didn't want to admit it. so, one day after talking to jake for a really long time about his feelings he finally got the confidence to tell you how he felt.

- he honestly was ready for rejection so when you told him you were also interested in him, took him off guard. he probably would need a moment to register what exactly to do next. but from that day on you guys just assumed you were dating without any proper question. you both admitted feelings for each other.. so you guys just assumed thats how relationships start.

- the first date would probably be to a movie in the park or maybe a shopping run that turned into a cafe and boba date on accident.

- riki is usually very private about his relationships.. however, if someone gets on his nerves he plays the "at least im actually dating someone!" card to rub in their face that he managed to find someone who loves and cares about him.

- he's a mean boyfriend, meaning that he will tease you, poke fun at you and play pranks on you because thats how he shows his love. however, you must retaliate in return if not its not fun.

- sometimes when you're walking down the street while holding hands he purposefully trips you and chuckles when you stumble only for you to try and trip him back. this usually leads to you guys almost tackling eachother in the middle of the sidewalk.

- he also finds it funny when he holds his hand out against your head to stop you from getting closer to him. he's tall and has long arms so he thinks its funny but after a while he gives in and pulls you close.

- you know he loves to mess around and tease you however, no matter how much he playfully bullies you he's actually very protective of you. lots of his jokes come from a place of love. however, if someone else were to make fun of you the way he did he couldn't find it funny at all.

- despite how playful he is. he would die for your touch. he loves melting into your arms and holding you. believe it or not he's a lot clinger than you'd imagine.

- in private he's putty in your hands but around his hyungs or anyone else he tries to play it cool.

- he draws you things on any serface if you give him enough time and a writing utensil. they're usually cute drawings of a couple that he says are the two of you. he leaves these little doodles on your shopping lists, notebooks, sticky notes, white boards.

- when you visit him while he's at practice he gets so excited because he loves seeing you when he's in his element. he shows off just for you and asks you if you thought he looked cool while dancing.

- riki finds your height difference to be extremely cute. he loves pointing out how short you are compared to him. he loves feeling tall around you. please ask him to get things off the top shelf.

- he's going to ask to borrow your hair tie, and never give it back so he can wear it around his wrist or keep it on his nightstand as evidence he's with someone.

- something you noticed is that he'd "accidentally" leave his shirts or hoodies at your place in hopes that you'd wear it. and when you do he melts a little inside.

- when shopping he usually likes to take you with him so you can tell him what you think about clothes. he wont buy something you don't like. if you're not with him expect pictures of clothes on him or facetime calls for your opinion.

- riki loves hearing your voice so even when he's sleepy from a long day working, he'll call you just to hear you talk about your day. his deep raspy voice usually just humming along to your words to let you know he's listening.

- most times he ends up falling asleep with you on call, regardless of if it's a video chat or regular phone call. he feels comfortable enough to do that with you so it's sweet. plus he works so hard you can't possibly be upset.

- he gets a lot if his dating and relationship advice from jake because in his eyes he thinks he's the most romantic. so most big romantic gestures from riki is usually something jake told him to do for you.

- pda is a big no for him, maybe simple hand holding or a quick hug would be okay. but he gets way too shy to actually kiss you or be overly touchy with you in public.

-but, he does like to see you wearing his clothes or matching shoes with him. its a little cheesy but he can't get enough of it. it's a little nod that you belong to each other.

- on his phone your contact would be something like "my loser." or "nerd." something not too romantic incase someone takes his phone and makes fun of him for having such a lovey dovey name for you.

- his home screen is a picture of you though. you're not looking at the camera and it's kinda blurry but he knows it's you and he loves looking at the candid pictures he's taken of you. loves it so much that it makes one of them his hime screen.

- riki loves thrill especially thrill rides so even if you don't like them he would drag you to ride rollercoasters or fast rides with him.

- he does love to kiss you though. after the first kiss he was addicted and is always looking forward the next kiss. however he would die inside if anyone every caught you both kissing.

- arguments are something unavoidable. especially when riki can be a little bit of a hot-head about things and prideful. he kinda sucks at apologizing or talking things out so space from each other usually helps you both cool down.

- after a couple days you both realize how much you miss each other and end up forgetting why you were upset with each other in the first place.

- a fault in him is saying yes to anything you want to do or ask for. sometimes he doesn't realize what exactly he's agreeing to. this has gotten him into a lot of very interesting situations with you. like ending up in the salon next to you getting his nails and toes done, or taste testing weird herbal teas, or even getting his hair dyed to slightly match yours.

- after a long day, you both just melt into the sofa and scroll on your phones for hours. just watching tiktoks or something similar. occasionally reaching over to show each other something funny.

- if you're not doing your weekly tiktok scroll with him on the sofa, you're probably cuddling and watching an anime. you guys take turns picking which one to watch. its also a nice way to spend time together since he loves to order food and make a date night out of it.

- when going out with you to a place where theres music and dancing involved. regardless on if you can or can't dance he would pull you to dance floor to dance with him. a big smile on his face as he watches you move and enjoy yourself.

- he is so supportive of you no matter what. he would promote your projects you choose to do regardless of what it is. he always has your back, and encourages you to do what you love.

- just expect impromptu dance parties while listening to music. you guys could be chilling and having music in the background when he pulls you up and just playfully dances with you.

- when watching a romance movie and they do something cool, like kiss under stars, or set up a romantic camp site, or something of that nature he can't help but look at you and say "lets do that."

- he would never tell you, but praise goes such a long way with him. he wants to hear that he's doing well and that you're proud of him. so when you vocalize it he loves it.

- in the beginning of the relationship he says things like. "saying 'i love you' is so cheesy." only to be the one who says it over and over later in your relationship. when you wake up, when you part ways for the day, when you go to bed. all the time.

- riki would also have a polaroid of you on the back of his clear phone case because he thinks it's cute. and regardless of how old the photo is he wont change it.

- overall, riki's a sweet but, mischievous type boyfriend. he lives and breathes for you and wont let you forget it with how much he playfully annoys you. there is nothing he wont do to make you happy or to hear your laugh that he loves so much.

Characters: Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, Nami, Ussop, Ace and Law

Content Warning: fluff. Some angst (Sanji, Ace and Law)

Pt. 2

Luffy:

Absolutely physical touch. There is no debate on this.

He can and will cling to you with no hesitation. Man doesn't know personal space<3

But you and most of the Strawhats don't mind it. It's sweet.

Though you do have to gently remind him sometimes that not everybody he knows likes it when he does that</3

Definitely a words of affirmation kinda guy too.

This one isn't as often but he loves making you smile.

Constantly telling you how funny you are and how much he loves you. He is a sweet baby even if he's a menace sometimes<3

Sometimes, you'll get a combo of the two. He'll wrap his arms around a multitude of times and tell you all kinds of sweet things just to see you smile.

Gift. Giving.

Please give this sweet baby gifts it will make his eyes light up like stars and he'll treasure it forever.

You could get him the silliest thing and he'll be so happy. You'll have his stretchy arms wrapped around you and multiple kisses on your face while he's yelling 'thank you' multiple times within an instant.

Zoro:

Quality time.

He's not much of a touchy guy and he's not the greatest with words.

But he actively seeks you out on the Sunny. He just wants to be by you<3

He's not great at words, so just being by you is enough for him

He will make you take naps with him<3

He likes to sit by you when he's cleaning his swords.

Please just chill with him while he trains. He likes being in your presence.

This goes both ways low-key. He knows that you love him so he doesn't need to be reminded. And as mentioned earlier, he's not really a touchy feely guy.

So just spending time with you is enough.

Bro loves you so much, he'll chill by you while you're talking to the other strawhats. He doesn't need to involved in the conversation. He'll just sit by you (he'll take a nap depending on where you are on the ship)

Maybe a small bit of gift giving?

Only if he finds it useful though probably.

Get him stuff to clean his swords with and he'll be happy.

Send him over the moon with alcohol.

But definitely quality time for the most part.

Dude just wants to be by you<3

Sanji:

Is it absurd to say that it's everything? (Because I feel like it is but thats cause I'm in love with him and delulu)

He'll match to whatever your love language is babes<3

Gift giving? He'll spoil you

Quality time? Just hang out with him in the kitchen while he cooks

Words of affirmation? He'll tell you a thousand times a day that he loves you

Acts of service? Say the word and your wish is his command.

Physical touch? He'll be all over you.

He'll match your energy.

He bends over backwards for you.

And it's all super sweet. He'll cook for you, buy you some cute trinkets that you like, spend time with you while you're doing something, tell you all kinds of romantic things, and he'll hold your hand at all times

She'll be over the moon if you buy her stuff

Specially if it's expensive <3

Bake something for her, Sanji will help you if you ask him to!

She'll give you a bunch of kisses for it. It's her way of say thank you.

You're the only one who doesn't owe her a single berri. Cause why would she charge the love of her life?

She gets a little jealous super easily though. She'll pout at you. Just laugh at her and tell her she's cute. Kiss her cheek, forehead or tip of her nose if you want to make her melt.

Sometimes she'll indulge in physical touch, only for you though.

She'll hold your hand when strolling through a town on a new island. And then persuade you to buy something she likes by acting cute.

She's super appreciative if you do though

She'll hug you and kiss you with a big grin on her face

It makes her feel important

She likes to make you feel important too. She'll actually go out of her way to buy you stuff sometimes. She teases about an interest fee but if you actually try to pay it, it's the only time she refuses

Ussop:

Words of affirmation

My guy needs a lot of reassurance so he appreciates it

Tell him that he's brave and he'll be absolutely smitten

He also likes physical touch

He'll hold you as he tells his stories

Talk to him about the world. You both love being out on the Grandline and seeing how big the world is. It's one your 'late night can't sleep' topics.

Hangout on the deck of the Sunny and look at stars together. He'll hold your hand and point out the constellations to you. (He learned them from Robin, he just wants to impress you<3)

If you hug him from behind randomly, he'll swoon.

He'll let you stay like that too. He thinks it's sweet. He'll just casually talk to you about his day so far.

He's constantly telling you how much he loves you.

You make him feel strong and brave so of course he's going to return the favor.

Overall, Ussop is just a sweet guy. He likes holding your hand and making you smile<3

Ace:

Oh my beloved sad himbo

Please hold him and reassure him.

He's definitely a physical touch and words of affirmation kinda guy too.

Trace the freckles on his face (he'll melt in your arms with a blushing face if you call them mini constellations<3)

He likes to hold you yeah but please hold him. He needs it.

He likes to be in your embrace but he'll only let you do it when you guys aren't in sight of the crew, he's afraid that Marco and Thatch will tease him for a life time. (They wouldn't)

Pepper his face in kisses

This poor cowboy is so sad please tell him all of the things you love about him

Whisper sweet nothings to him as you guys try to fall asleep at night, that's when his head tries to attack him the most.

He appreciates it all and he'll definitely return the favor.

He constantly has you wrapped in his arms.

He'll kiss the top of your head and nuzzle his face into your hair.

He'll purposely act stupid just to see you laugh.

Please just make him happy. He is so sad

He will deny though.

Law:

Another quality time kinda guy

He doesn't like physical touch

Or words of affirmation

Please don't openly say you love him or promise him anything, the last person who did both those things died almost immediately after (he's traumatized </3)

Just spend some time with him, that's all he asks. You don't have to say anything he just wants to he by you.

He doesn't know how to accept gifts so that's also kinda out of the question

If you do something for him though, he'll be appreciative. In his own way

Just quality time for the most part.

Just sit by him while he reads or looks over some notes he has.

He's comforted by your presence, you make him happy even if he never outwardly shows it

physical touch: luffy is very touchy feely. he likes wrapping his entire body around you like a wet noodle just because he can and you're going to have to deal with that!! he loves giving you cheek kisses or small bites on your fingers, shoulders and chest but in a non-sexual way! he loves holding your hand and swinging it back and forth. he thinks is super fun and he'll do it really hard sometimes and make his arm loose shape and flail around in the wind.

acts of service: you could ask him to get a star out of the sky he'd do it!!! he'd do little things like get things off of shelves, grab something from your room or giving you a piggyback across an island but he'd literally do anything you ask him to without a second thought..well maybe be sides share his food, he'd have to think about it foe a second and then give you a piece. but fr he's big on helping you though, he likes doing things for you. and if you ever asked him why he dose he wanna help he'd be like 'because you need help' which translates to 'because i like being with you'.

quality time: you two spend alot of time together not only because you live on a boat together (with the crew ofc) but he also seeks you out when he's bored. downtime on the ship is v common because it can take weeks to get from point A to point B and thats where you come in. sometimes he takes you to the figure head and makes you tell him stories or talk about your thoughts. other times you just sit on the deck and sunbathe while he holds your hand it all depends really.

giving/receiving gifts: it doesn't take alot to impress him he's like a baby—easy to please! you could give him a fish & he'd wiggle it around before yelling at asking sanji to cook it for him. his gifts however are usually one of two things either— 1) it takes trials and tribulations to get or 2) it comes of as simple to someone from the outside looking in but it means alot to him no in between! like lets you say you want a apple he'd somehow fight a congregation of alligators to bring back 1 apple then he'd ask for a bite. ORRRRR he gifts you something like a drawing of you that looks rushed and childish with gears around it but it took him an hour—you watched him as he would go back and forth between looking at you foe a minute and scribbling and erasing on his paper. some might make fun of him for that but you of all people know that it means a lot to him that you have!

words of affirmation: he talks about you like you hung the moon and stars you could be a marine, a civilian, someone on his crew it doesn't matter. he'd tell everyone how he feels about you regardless if you're there or not. he never misses a moment to talk about you highly though his vocabulary is a little limited so he doesn't say things like "you're extravagant" or "i admire you." when he compliments you he says things like "you're so fun." and "i like you so much." again his words are surface level to those who don't know him but he really does think highly of you even if his words don't exactly reflect it but actions are louder than words anyway.

your boyfriend got a bit in his head when he saw your co-worker turn up for your tour rehearsals... but he had no reason to worry, did he?

after the success of your latest drama, your company thought it would be the perfect time for you to embark on a world tour - fans were at an all time high and interest in your career, both in korea and globally, was soaring. you were of course elated at this - the idea of seeing so many of your fans across the world was mind-blowing and an opportunity you couldn’t turn down.

of course, that meant many late nights powering through songwriting, producing, choreographing and discussing visuals for how you wanted your concert to look. finishing a drama, releasing an album and embarking on a tour in the span of a few months was more tiring than you’d ever know your job to be.

sadly, that meant a lot less time with your boyfriend, chan, too. between your chaotic schedule, and stray kids preparing for a comeback, you barely saw your partner. the most you’d been in the same space in the last month was a few fleeting hours after he’d gone to bed and before you’d woken up.

while chan was almost completely nocturnal, you were undeniably an early riser. you’d always been more productive in the early morning, opting to finish your tasks as early as you could, as to enjoy the rest of the day. it was a strange combination, but it worked wonderfully. you balanced each other out in the best way.

so whenever you could, you invited chan to come and watch you rehearse. you also did the same with many of your friends, enjoying the fleeting time you got to spend in the same place at the moment, but chan was alway top of your list. some friends liked to turn up and surprise you too, appearing in the practice room or the venue you were rehearsing at to shower you with support and gifts.

just like today.

in your recent drama, you had played a florist who never believed in real love, being swept up into the world of a handsome model with whom she inevitably fell for. you were beyond lucky to feature in such a star-studded cast in such a respected and well-received drama, and even luckier to have someone like nct’s jaehyun playing your romantic counterpart.

the two of you had become increasingly close during filming, and you both walked away from set having gained a true friend for life. jaehyun was like a brother to you - worryingly because of all the fans of your drama that shipped you off-screen, and because of how awkward it made filming kiss scenes.

sometimes the enthusiasm of the fans wanting you to date got a bit much - you and chan were very open about your relationship, and you had made it very clear both publicly and privately that you and jaehyun were strictly friends. but that didn’t stop people from taking a sweet, platonic moment and running with it.

thats why you were kind of glad no one saw jaehyun entering the kbs arena, where you were currently rehearsing for your opening concert the next week.

jaehyun had walked in with a bunch of flowers and a smile while you were taking a break,and you were ecstatic to see him. it had been too long, in your opinion. placing down your water bottle, you jogged over to him, wrapping him in a tight hug.

“jae! what are you doing here?”

he shrugged, offering you the flowers - which you gratefully took. “can’t be in the gangseo district without coming to see my favorite florist rehearsing, can i?”

mood and energy skyrocketing, you and jaehyun sat down, digging into the lunch provided by your company’s staff, catching up on anything and everything worth gossiping about since you last saw each other.

unbeknownst to you, however, chan had also arrived just after jaehyun approached you, hoping to catch you on your lunch break and have a chance to eat with you. upon seeing you with jaehyun, however, he hesitated.

he knew that you and your co-star had become very close friends during the grueling months of filming, and he was more than understanding of it. after all, he had grown up with twice and was undeniably close to the 9 girls under the same company as him. so, he didn’t understand why his stomach flipped and his chest tightened at the sight of you laughing with another man.

you and chris had a very solid relationship. you had sat down and created boundaries and expectations before you even entered into your relationship 2 years ago, and you never had any reason to distrust each other. he also knew how much you had missed your friend in the months you had been so busy, and completely understood why you were so excited to see him.

so, he stood back and chatted with your staff, letting you have some time with jaehyun before approaching you. he was willing to wait, fighting to ignore the worming thoughts of anxiety in the back of his head. he wasn’t that kind of boyfriend, he told himself, so he had no reason to get upset.

laughing loudly to a story jaehyun had told you, you caught a glimpse of familiar blonde curls across the dining hall, heart jumping when you focused and realized it was your beloved boyfriend.

“channie! hi, baby! come here!” you called, unable to fight off a grin and blush when chan smiled and walked over to you and jaehyun.

“hi, babygirl.” he chuckled at your enthusiastic state, kissing the top of your head as he took a seat next to you.

he was quickly dragged into your ongoing conversation, catching up himself with jaehyun and enjoying having some time with you. on the other hand, you noticed that chan was being a lot more clingy than usual - having a hand on your waist or thigh the entire time, and constantly leaning in to plant kisses across your cheek and head.

not that you were complaining in the slightest. it had been too long since you got to feel chan’s presence this close to you, and your heart was soaring at the mere idea of it. just having him so close made you decide to ask for a couple of days rest, and spend it wrapped up in his arms in your shared apartment. he truly was the love of your life, and you had missed him more than words could describe recently.

but something was definitely off with him. you and chan were known to be a very touchy couple, pda being right up your street for two people whose love language was physical touch - but this was different. this was like he was trying to prove a point. but, why would he-...... oh.

the realization that chris was jealous that you were spending time with jaehyun, while unnecessary, was actually very cute. you knew deep down the incessant shipping of you and you co-worker by fans got under his skin sometimes, but regardless you had a very solid relationship. so, in some strange way, you found it endearing that he would still get jealous.

after about an hour, jaehyun announced that he’d have to take his leave - he had a schedule with his group and needed to head back to his company - leaving you and chris to bask in each other for a bit longer.

climbing onto his lap, you curled up in your boyfriend’s arms, hands instinctively reaching to fuss with his hair. “i’ve missed you, honey,” you sighed. “been too long since i got to see you properly.”

“missed you too, baby. just glad i caught you when you weren’t too busy.” the smile on his face was soft, but there was a slight bit to his voice that he was sure you would miss - he wasn’t even intending for it to come out.

your eyebrows furrowed slightly, leaning back to look at his face, quickly noticing the sour expression on his face. something was clearly bothering him, between the touchiness and snappy attitude, but you couldn’t figure out what it was.

shifting your position so you were straddling his lap, you cupped his face in your palms. sighing softly, you stroked the frustration wrinkles out of his skin, concern showing on your face.

“wanna tell me what’s going on in that pretty head of yours, bubs?”

“its nothing, angel,” chan huffed, hands sitting on your waist. “just being silly and overthinking again.”

you wholeheartedly disbelieved that was the case, knowing chan better than he knew himself sometimes. racking your brain, you begged yourself to pick something out that could be the cause of his current despair. until it hit you.

“this wouldn’t happen to have anything to do with a certain coworker of mine, would it?”

when chris couldn’t hide the way his eyes rolled and ears flushed scarlet, you knew you had hit the jackpot. clearly something with jaehyun had upset chris, or even just slightly annoyed him - he was never any good at hiding his emotions.

“tell me what’s up, channie. i can’t help fix it if i don’t know what’s wrong.” you gently pushed, hoping he would cave under your proximity and allow you to share the burden of what was affecting him.

he was silent for a few moments, eyes screwed shut and his grip on your waist tightening slightly. then he blew out a breath, his grip loosening once again as he looked up at you with those big, brown eyes you adored.

“i just- sometimes i think the fans that ship you two are right. you get along so well, and seeing him surprise you here today just… kinda made me think maybe you would work better than us. and the thought hurt. i wanna be the one who makes you smile like that when i surprise you.”

chan’s confession made your heart drop. was he really that jealous of jaehyun and your friendship? had you done something to make him feel this way?

“love… you know you have no reason to be jealous, or upset, or worried? jaehyun is just a friend, and just a coworker. and you know i tolerate the shipping less than you do.”

you prayed that your reassurance would help, but when he simply shrugged you knew it was too much. sometimes chan’s anxiety got the better of him, and in those times it was hard to get through to him. even if he knew you were telling the truth, something in the back of his head told him that maybe he wasn’t good enough.

but you persisted.

“no one could ever compare to you, my love. you’re my hope, my light. and no matter who comes along, they could never make me feel as much love and appreciation as you.”

a small smile tugged at his lips, and you breathed a sigh of relief that your words were getting through to him.

“i know,” chris mumbled through his ambivalent expression. “i know, and i have no reason to feel like this. i’m sorry, baby, i didn’t mean to worry you, i just get scared one day you’ll realize you could do better.”

you both let out a little chuckle, amused by the way you were both talking like the end of the world was beginning. you softly kissed his full lips, with one last promise of forever in your throat.

“chris, baby. i get it. you don’t have to apologize. just remember that i got paid to kiss him as a character, while in character,” you jabbed him in the chest lightly to emphasize your point. “but you - not him, nor anyone else - you are the one i come home to at the end of the day.”

his face was flushed with emotion, shining through his eyes and into the way his dimples creased his skin as he looked at you with so much love you thought you would burst into a heap of fluff.

“i chose you, chris. i choose you everyday, and i always will.”

ears flushed slightly red, overwhelmed with your confession, chan held his hand out, pinky pointed towards you.

“we’ll always choose each other, yeah? forever. pinky promise?”

wrapping your pinky finger around his, you kissed his cheek gently, reveling in the way he smelt like home.

“pinky promise.”

"Dang, you look hot," shuhua whistled, as I walked out of the bathroom, "you know, if I didn't have a boyfriend I would literally wife you up."

"Break up with him then?" I smirked lazily as I sat down on the couch opposite her.

"Okay." We stared at each other for a few seconds before bursting out into laughter.

"Sometimes I really think you two are gays." Minnie said, sitting down next to me.

"Who said I'm not?" She looked at me like I had grown two heads.

"Ooh, then we can all be girlfriends!!" Chaewon giggled out, Minnie just shook her head and stood up.

"God, y'all really are gays aren't y'all?" Chaewon just hummed in response and also got up, "let's go It's already nine forty-five we have to be there at ten."

Shuhua nodded, also standing up, "let's go girlfriend?" She winked at me while also smirking.

"Let's go girlfriend!" Minnie just groaned out and walked out of the door, while me and Shuhua giggled.

When you arrived at the party It was already 10:20, so lots of people were there, the house was packed you could barely get through people to get to the kitchen.

"Hello, babe!" Yeonjun's cheerful voice rung through the crowd of people.

"Hey, baby!" Shuhua smiled brightly walking up to her boyfriend and giving him a long kiss on the lips.

"Ewww, get a room!" You shouted out, making them break up the kiss.

"Why? you jealous?" Shuhua smirked.

"Very much." You giggled.

Minnie gave me a stinky side eye and continued her conversation with Chaewon.

"Hey, guys!" Yeonjun turned towards you, "so how do you like the party so far?" He said leaning on the kitchen counter.

"Great so far," Chaewon said, me and Minnie nodding along.

"Good to hear," he smiled, "oh, I want to introduce you guys to someone, this is my friend beomgyu!"

A guy walked out of the swarm of people, and you can't lie, he was hot.

"Hi, I'm beomgyu!" He smiled brightly holding his hand out for y'all to shake.

"Y/N, nice to meet you."

"She's single!" Minnie suddenly chimed in, making your ears go red.

"Gosh Minnie! Why would he even need to know that?!" You yelled out trying to keep yourself composed.

"No, it's actually good to hear that," you went still for a second "I wondered, do you want to go dance?"

"Yes! Yes she does!" Shuhua answered before I could.

"Yes, I guess."

"Good then." Beomgyu took my hand and walked me to the "dance floor".

You were having a blast, dancing your heart out. Not minding a second that beomgyu's hand has wandered down a long time ago, and it was now resting on your ass.

You completely forgot about everything, about your friends, about colliding with sweaty bodies, about jay.

That was until beomgyu got tired and said you two should go get drinks, you agreed almost immediately, worn out from all the dancing.

You were almost in the kitchen when you heard a really, really familiar laughter. As you got closer laughter got louder and there you saw him sitting at the counter, smiling brightly along with some of his friends.

Once you were finally there everyone's attention was on you, you looked around, your friends nervously chuckling.

Not because he was there, but because, he was there with an arm around a girl.

He looked at you, his expression changing, his arm almost immediately dropping from girls waist.

You tried to compose yourself, smiling brightly as you walked even closer.

"Umm, hey," jay said awkwardly, you nodding in response.

"Long time no see," he tried to lighten up the mood, but only making it worse by what he said next, "this is Bailey, um, my girlfriend."

"Hey! Nice to meet you!" The said Bailey held out a hand for you to shake, But you were too lost in the thoughts to say anything, a girlfriend? Really? This quickly?

Guess it really was a bet then.

"Umm.." bailey coughed out awkwardly, still waiting for you to shake her hand.

"O-oh, I'm sorry, I just got lost in the thoughts, nice to meet you too, I'm y/n."

You really tried to sound okay, but one look at your best friends told you enough.

You didn't look okay.

"So, umh, how have you been?" Jay tried to start a conversation, but when he got no response from you, and only a deathly glare, he stopped talking.

"Are you done?" You turned to beomgyu, "let's go dance."

"Aren't you tired?" Beomgyu chuckled.

"No, in fact, I'm boosting with energy! Let's go!" You cheered out.

"Okay, okay." He laughed softly, following after you in the crowd.

Right after you and beomgyu left, tension in the air seemed to lessen.

"What happened just now?" Bailey was looking around for answer, but no one dared to say anything, until jay finally sighed out.

"She was my ex girlfriend," Bailey's jaw fell to the floor.

"Why didn't you tell me earlier?" She sternly turned to him.

"Why would I?" Jay scoffed, "she's my ex, nothing important.”

"Nothing important? I swear-" Shuhua stood up, ready to stomp over to him.

"Hey, calm down!" Chaewon held her back.

"Let go! I'm gonna show him how important my best friend is!" She struggled to get out of the grip Minnie and Chaewon had on her.

"It's not worth it," Minnie muttered, looking jay deadly in the eyes, "you can't fix a player," She made sure he would hear her last words, before the trio left.

"A player? Really? she broke up with me, She betted on me." Jay called out to no one in particular.

"Well, I'm not trying to be that friend but, didn't you also bet on her?" Jake called out from behind the counter.

"Whose idea was it?!" He bit back.

"Not mine!" Jake yelled out.

Jay stood up, his girlfriend long forgotten.

"Where are you going?" Bailey asked, annoyed with his boyfriend's current actions.

"To the bathroom," he didn't look back at her once, "have fun, I'll be back in a few."

She just nodded and got lost in the crowd.

Jay wished he didn't come to the bathroom, he wished he was blind, he wished, what he just, saw was a bad dream.

His blood boiled, He couldn't stand watching you with another man.

Not when you were in someone else's arms, not when your beautiful lips were touching lips that weren't his.

Not when you were making out with fucking choi beomgyu.

He took a step forward, already planning ways to kill beomgyu, when suddenly the reality hit him like a ton of bricks.

You weren't his anymore, you didn't love him anymore, not that you did before. It hurt him, but he couldn't do anything other then just stepping back, and leaving you in another man's arms.

When you walked in the living room with beomgyu's arm around your waist, your friends gave you a look that said "we'll talk later," but you just shrugged and sat down on the couch, more like beomgyu's lap.

"So, what happened why did you called us here?" Beomgyu asked, his hand now resting on your thigh.

"Well, we're sorry If we interrupted something," Chaewon gave you a teasing look which you just answered with a groan, beomgyu just chuckling, "but, we wanted to play seven minutes in heaven!!" She squealed out of joy.

"Ugh, come on, can't we play something else?" You groaned, gripping beomgyu's hand when you felt a strong gaze on you, trying hard not to look that way.

"Why? Are you scared of staying in a dark closet with someone for 7 minutes?" Minnie challenged.

"Of course not!"

"Then play."

"Fine!" She smirked.

"They're not playing?" Beomgyu pointed at shuhua and Yeonjun who were silently giggling in the corner about something.

"Nope."

"Okay, then since everyone is here shall we start?”

“Yes!! Let's go!”

“So who’s first?” everyone looked around, waiting for each other to raise their hand.

“fine, I'll be first.” Chaewon said out of frustration.

She took the empty beer bottle, setting it down on the floor and spinning. It took the bottle few seconds to stop on sunghoon, jay's friend.

Everyone cheered as Sunghoon stared at Chaewon, slowly getting up and holding out a hand for Chaewon to take.

Chaewon also quickly stood up, taking his hand walking to the closet.

“We're starting the timer,” Taehyun called out, “remember, It's only seven minutes, so hurry up!”

Everyone laughed as you stared at closet door, waiting for your best friend.

After seven minutes, you waited for them to step out after calling out their names few times.

“Hey! Get the fuck out you weirdos!” Soobin finally having enough stood up stomping towards the closet door, he was about to start banging on it, when the door opened, stepping out you saw your best friends red ears and a dizzy smile.

“Gosh, we're out!” Sunghoon yelled back, squeezing Chaewon’s hand and returning to his seat.

You quickly sent a wink toward Chaewon, which made her even more flustered, as she also made her way to her seat.

After a few rounds you were all sitting on the floor legs crossed, and anticipating after every spin of the bottle who would it land on.

It was now bailey's, jay's girlfriend's turn, she spined the bottle and it landed on kai, Yeonjun’s buddy.

Jay didn't even had a reaction, at how fast his girlfriend stood up to walk to the closet, as If she was waiting for this moment since forever.

After few seconds kai also followed and they shut the door, and not even two minutes later you could hear moaning coming from the closet.

“Jay, bro, aren't you gonna do anything? Your girl is literally making out with someone behind that door.” At heeseung’s words jay just shrugged, and set his gaze on something else or rather someone else.

You could feel how his gaze was burning holes on the right side of your head, as you were having conversation with beomgyu.

You tried not to look, you tried so much, but It felt like your body was putting a war against your brain, and you took a quick glance at Jay, but that quick glance seemed to last a little too long.

His eyes were dark, It felt like he was staring into your soul, not blinking once, like he was in a trance.

That was until his eyes trailed a little downward and fell upon your lips, your lips, he missed so much.

You unintentionally bit your lip, making his eyes darken even more, and now It was your turn to stare at his lips.

You noticed sudden tension in the air, as you both refused to look away from each other.

Others might’ve noticed it too, because they were staring at you two like there was a visible line connecting your eyes together.

Suddenly Beomgyu coughed next to you, making you two break eye contact you tried to maintain so bad.

Jay just smirked, looking at the closet door waiting for his soon-to-be ex girlfriend to step out of it.

And like she read his mind, she stepped out of the closet, surprisingly neat looking, compared to the sounds you heard.

She went to her seat, smiling at jay like she didn't just cheat on him, in front of him and his whole friend group.

“Well, who's next?” Yeonjun tried to change the topic, which seemed to work really well.

“Me, I'll spin It.” Everyone’s eyes turned to jay, as he took the bottle, ignoring his “girlfriend’s" protests.

Before spinning it he looked up, making another subtle eye contact with you before finally spinning it.

You partly hoped It would land on you, why? You don't even know.

It felt like ages, as the bottle spined, spined, until It finally stopped on,

You.

Suddenly everything seemed to stop, you could hear few gasps which were probably coming from your friends.

Jay smirked, but only you seemed to notice.

He stood up, looking down at you as you stared up at him, and he walked towards the closet without single hesitation shown in his actions.

To everyone's surprise you also stood up, turning towards your friends, whose jaws were already on the floor, not expecting from you to agree with this.

“I'll just get it over with.” You simply said , slowly walking towards the door, stopping in front of it, should I really do it? Should I really go in? These thoughts were running through your mind, but you still gave in.

You opened the door stepping in, “7 minute is starting!” you could hear Jakes voice calling out to no one in particular.

Silence. Awkward.

These were the two words you would use to describe the current situation, with you and jay standing at the either end of the closet room.

You thought this seven minutes would go in silence, which you would appreciate, but to your luck, jay ruined it.

“How have you been?” he mumbled out, staring down at the ground, It seemed that his demeanour took a 360° turn, when he was left alone in a tight space. It took you a few seconds, to answer.

“Fine, how about you?” you, never In a million years, would thought you would need to fake a smile around jay, but here you are now, showing him a smile so fake It almost looks sickening.

"Not good,” he sighed out.

“W-why?” you tried to keep the conversation going.

“How could I be good, or even happy, when the love of my life left me?” he finally looked up, making yet another eye contact with you, but now not with a darkened gaze, rather... sad?

“D-do you mean-"

You were as confused as ever, how could he say It with so much pretended sincerity that It almost looked so real? How could he call you the love of his life when you were nothing but a bet?

“Yes, I meant you. Who else?” he chuckled lowly.

“How, how, can you call me the love of your life, when our whole relationship was just a bet for you?” You took a step forward raging, but still keeping your voice low.

“What?” Jay also stepped forward.

“Our whole relationship was just a bet for you, so don't you dare call me the love of you life!” You raged out, raising your voice a bit.

“What do you-" He stopped mid-sentence, a wave of realization hitting him.

“Yes, Park fucking jongseong I knew about the fucking bet!” You took another step forward.

“What? How?” He too, took a step forward, “and even if you did, It doesn't matter, I was a fucking bet for you too!”

“Oh.my.fucking.god!” You yelled out not even worrying about others hearing you, “you don't fucking get it do you?”

“Get what?” Jay also raised his voice, “that you're also at fault here, and you're only blaming me? For something we both did?!”

“I didn't fucking bet on you!” You finally lost it, “ I didn't fucking bet on you, you stupid son of a bitch!”

“Oh, so I'm making It up?” Jay getting even angrier at the insult, stepped even closer, backing you up against the corner, “weren't you the one who invited me to that fucking restaurant, on that fucking day, to fucking dump me in front of your friends and make fun of me? Huh? Am I making that up too?”

“That was a Fucking set up!” you finally screamed out.

“Oh, please save those excuses for later!” Jay laughed almost mockingly at you.

“That day, when you asked me to come to the locker room, I heard you,” he suddenly stopped, staring at you, “I heard you and Jake talking, I heard how you said our one year relationship was just a bet, And I got angry okay? I didn't knew wether to confront you or just don't say anything at all, and then I got the Idea to pull a reverse card on you, and to make you think I was also betting on your feelings, but I really wasn't.”

Jay was stunned, he couldn't say anything, although he wanted to. He just stared into your eyes, looking for any insincerity, but he couldn't see any.

That's when he realized how much he fucked up, how much he fucked up for not running after you that day at the restaurant, for not stopping you and for not demanding an explanation from you, and for not giving you one either.

“I wish you confronted me so I could tell you how much you misunderstood me,” He smiled sadly, “You're right, At first It started out as a bet, but then a few weeks into the bet, and I-I had already fallen for you, I mean how could I not?” He looked at you trying to show you how sincere he was.

“I wish you confronted me.”

“What?” you looked at him surprised.

“I fell in love with everything about you, starting from your amazing heart to your laugh, your personality, your beauty. There was nothing in you to not fall in love with, I even thought about stopping the bet, but you know, my stupid ass just didn't wanted to be called a quitter, so I just got along with it,” he chuckled sadly, “I'm so sorry, If I made you felt like I never loved you, because I really did, and I still do.”

“Jay, I don't know what to say, I thought-" he stopped you.

“Please don't say anything, I don't wanna hear a no from you, I can't take it.” He looked down at the ground and few seconds later you heard sniffling.

“Oh my gosh, Jay are you crying?” You took his face in your hands, loving the way he leaned further into the touch.

“I'm so sorry, but I can't stay away from you for too long again.” Your heart broke into million pieces as you stared at his watery eyes.

“Oh, baby, you don't need to stay away from me. Come here.” He quickly wrapped his arms around your waist, putting his face in the crook of your neck, as he sighed out a sigh of relief, as if a heavy weight was lifted off of his shoulders.

“You really mean that? You're not going anywhere?”

“Yes, I really mean that, I'm not going anywhere.” You chuckled as your grip around his neck tightened.

He suddenly straightened up, taking your face in his hands and gently kissing you on the lips.

“I missed you, I missed this.” He said between the kisses you two shared.

“I missed you too.” Finally during these few months, your smile was genuine for the first time, and It was as bright as the sunlight, if not brighter.

When you opened the closet door, you didn't expect to hear a few yelps as your friends fell on their butt on the floor.

“You guys were seriously eavesdropping?” Jay chuckled out, holding a protective grip over me when he noticed beomgyu walking towards us.

“Don't worry, I won't steal your girl.”

“You better not.”

Everyone busted out laughing at his protectiveness.

“So, you guys made up?” Jake asked looking at our intertwined hands.

“Yes, of course.” You answered calmly.

“Ugh, Thank fuck, I couldn't stand another night of Jay crying himself to sleep.” Jake whined out as everyone irrupted in fit of giggles.

“You cried yourself to sleep?”

Pairing: Ryusui Nanami x GN reader fluff

Synopsys: Being sick because you overworked yourself is not what you had in mind for today but it brings something very nice too with a certain captain.

Tw: angsty, bit of hust comfort, talk about being sick but nothing bad

Note: My phone died during my holiday and I bought a notebook to write this so I know that it's not the best. I hope you will like it :) I love Dr. Stone and the new season was amazing, can't wait for the next one !!

Ryusui never felt fear, he was the greediest man alive ! Why does he need to feel fear ? Even during the petrification, he was not afraid for his futur. But he met you and he fall hard. When Senku and the other "woke" him up and his eyes met yours...Ryusui knew he desires you.

Before the petrification, you were a student in marine biology and you were friend with Senku, Taiju and Yuzuhira. After your depetrification, you tried your best to help everyone with your science and knowledge. But you missed studying what you love so when the decision to build a ship was made, you were more than thrilled to start the constuction. You too, when Ryusui was depetrified, find him attractive rapidly after your eyes contact.

With his passion for sailling and yours for marine biology, the txo of you bounded quickly and in between your stories in the sea and helping Senku with the ship, everyone notice the simple flirt with each other.

You liked Ryusui and was not a surprise when you realized it. Maybe he was the greediest man but he was kind (especially with Suika), always wanted to help and Ryusui was determided thanks to his desire for everythings (plus he was handsome which didn't help your crush on him).

But builiding the ship was more important so you put mind and body literally on it to distract yourself. You redoubled your efforts and worked even harder when the sonar was ready to be used making you forget sometimes to eat or sleep. Senku was a little bit concerned for your health: being sick in the Stone World was not easy even with the sulfa drug. After a sort of little talk and a lot of apology from you, things became normal again. However, a few weeks later, you started again, neglejecting your health with too much work. Your skin your skin looked paler and paler and your eyebags became more visible. Ryusui was worried sick for you and was always here asking you if you were okay but you always brushed it off by saying thats it's just a cold, that it wil pass and to not worry about you.

Somedays later, you were with Taiju and Suika picking up plants and fruits, you knew it was not a good idea with your blurry vision and your tiredness but like always, you wanted to help. The sun was high and you felt weird

Suika: Are you okay Y/n ? You seem a bit lost...

Y/n: Yeah don't worry, I'm fin-

Suddenly a light headed feeling came over you and your vision worsened.

Suika: Y/n ?

Y/n: Don't worry, I just need a break, the heat's not helping.

Your head began to hurt really badly and the dizzy feeling wouldn't go away. Suika was worried now and before she could call Taiju, you fainted. Taiju, who heard the sound of your fall, ran over your uncunscious body and tried to "woke you up".

Taiju: Y/n ! Y/N !!

*in the Ishigami village*

Taiju: SENKUU !!

Everyone in the village turned their heads when they heard the panicked scream of their friend. Taiju were carrying you bridal style ,with Suika who were crying not far behind and ran quickly toward his geen haired friend. Senku was with the others Wise Commanders talking about all their unfinished tasks when Taiju arrived in front of them in a hurry with you in his arms, still uncunscious. Every eyes widened seeing in what state you were and quickly went over him.

Gen: What happened ?

Taiju: I don't know! They were with Suika and then they were on the floor unresponsive !

Suika arrived with Kohaku and after taking breathes to calm herself, she began telling what happened with a little bit more details.

Senku: Bring them to the laboratory. Now.

All of your friends followed Taiju toward the labo where he laid you on the bed and left you with Senku's science.

However, one person didn't follow, Ryusui couldn't move or speak, allof his body was shaking and his mind was blank. The only thing he could see was you, unresponsive and unconscious in the arms of Taiju...A shiver rolled down his spine and he knex: Ryusui never felt fear until now. The tought of loosing you terrified him and he hated it...He was so lost in his mind that he didn't feel Francois's presence and Suika taking his hand until she squeezd it.

Suika: Don't worry, the will be fine...They said in themsleves.

Francois: I have to agree with Miss Suika. Y/n is strong and it's not that that will stop them to follow their dream of navigation.

It gave him a little bit of hope and Ryusui squeezed back Suika's embrace and nodded to his chef.

Ryusui: Yeah, thank you.

Suika gave him a kind smile before she let him go to the lab with the others

Chrome: So it's not like Ruru's illness ? Because if it is, we need to give them the medecine.

Senku: No need. They just have an high fever because they overworked themselves. Y/n need to rest , take more care of their health and stop overso everything idiot.

Kohaku: So they will be fine ?

Senku: Didn't you listen Lioness ? Yes they're going to be fine.

Kohaku: I'm not a lioness !!

Gen: Okay, maybe we need to leave dear Y/n rest but leaving them alone might be not a great idea...What if their condition worsens ? Someone need to be with them.

Every person in the room knew what Gen was doing and decided to play along.

Chrome: Yeah good idea but with Senku we need to do some...science stuffs.

Chrome's acting was not the best and they all knew that. So they all gave one by one arguments and reasons to why they can't watch you to cover it.

Gen: And you dear Ryusui ? You're the only one who is not occupied. You could be with Y/n !

Everyone nodded their heads before hurrying out, leaving Ryusui and you alone without him saying anything. He was not dumb, knowing the mentalist, Gen saw right through him and knew about the desire he has for you. Ryusui sighed with a smilebefore entering more in the lab to take care of you the best he can.

*Night time*

Your eyes fluttered open, trying to adjust to the small light of a candle. You tried to get yourself into a sitting position but stopped quickly and laid down again immediately because of a terrible headache. You let out a grunt of pain before bringing your hand on your forehead.

Ryusui: Y/n ! You're finally awake ! How are you feeling ? Do you need anything?

You didn't know at first that Ryusui was there with you, to lost to even know were you where...Closing you eyes again, you turn your head to face him and open them to see a soft but worried smile on his face.

Y/n: What happened? Why I am in the lab ?

Ryusui: Well, you overworked yourself to the point of sickness and exhaustion so when you were with Taiju and Suika picking up plants, you fainted and Taiju took you here.

You let the information sunk in your head,making a note to yourself to thanks Taiju and Suika tomorrow.

Y/n: And why are you here ? Not that I don't appreciate it ! But Senku or maybe Chrome would have been the one I expect when I wake up sick.

Ryusui: You're doubting my medecine skills ?!

Y/n: You're a sailor !!

Ryusui: And ??

The captain made a false hurt expression to be dramatic, making you chuckle. You let out another grunt of pain because of your laugh which alerted Ryusui who quickly replaced the cold clothes on your forehead and neck that fell when you "sit up". Your checks which were already red because of your fever, reddened more because of (or thanks to) the proximity between the two of you.

His touches were gentle but you noticed that his hands were shaking slightly. Your eyes widened a little when you saw, right after, the worried frown on his face. You never saw him this scared,not even in the storm. He was always so confident (and greedy) that being the reason of his fear made you feel a bit guilty. A weird yet comfortable silence was in the room before you took Ryusui's hand to stop him.

Y/n: What's going on? I can tell that you're not okay.

Ryusui didn't respond immediately and a more saddened expression came on his handsome eyes. He was struggling to find the right answer and in the same time to maybe express his feelings for you. With this misadventure, the blond haired man knew that he needed to tell you before it's too late.

Ryusui: I...I was terrified. When I saw you unconscious in the arms of our friend my heart skipped a beat and not a good one. You were not moving, only your chest was and it seemed like you were on the verge of death. I couldn't move, fear overtook my body when everyone went to the lab to help Senku. I thought that we were loosing you, that I was loosing you and it terrified me...

Y/n: You didn't loose me Ryusui, I'm here and alive. Okay I'm not in my best shape but I'm not dead.

To accentuate your point, you out his hand on your (rapid) beating heart. You were now blushing hard and when he looked at you, you saw a faint redness on his checks making him more beautiful and less sad.

Ryusui: There also something else I need to tell you. It's maybe not the right time but it's very important.

You nodded your head for him to continue.

Ryusui: I love you Y/n, a lot. The thought of living without you scare me but not saying my desire for you before it's to late is scarier ! I love you since the first eye contact and days after days my desire grew.

All of your face was deep crimson red now, thanks to his confession, with a happy and soft smile on your lips. Squeezing his hand which was still on your heart, Ryusui looked at with hope squeezing your hand back.

Y/n: I...I desire you too Ryusui, since the first day and forever.

Your shaky confession made his eyes widened but a big smile appeared on his lips. Ryusui laughed of relief with his iconic laugh making you joining him with your own soft laugh to not hurt your throat or head again, still feeling sick.

The comfortable silence made you yawn so you slowly closed your eyes feeling rather tired.

Ryusui: When everything will be over. I will like take you on a date.

You smiled for yourself, still with you closed eyes.

Y/n: Yeah, I will like that if you do.

It was his turn to smile

Ryusui: I want to kiss you

You were already fast asleep when he said it so with a found look, Ryusui softly kissed your hand (still locked with his), listening to each breath you take, comforting himself that you're alive and now his.

*the next morning*

Everyone were relieved to see you in a better shape than yesterday and this time, Senku made it clear that you are not leaving your bed for 3 days even if you told him that you were ready to help again.

Okay—you don’t have to answer if you don’t want to..! But I’m actually SO curious on your essay thoughts of q!Bad in 4halo fics. Because (I think) it’s kind of rare that q!Bad is depicted accurately in.. most qsmp ship fics. And I feel like q!Bad always becomes.. obsessed with romance with q!Forever in many 4halo fics?? Or super open + emotionally stable?? I don’t know how to explain it, but that’s why I’m curious of your thoughts (because I’ve read your fics and 100% trust your characterizations, especially of BBH cubitos <3)

hihi always down to ramble. and i agree, a lot of bad's flaws are smoothed over in 4halo fics, which makes him incredibly ooc. also, i dont think that these mischaracterizations are necessarily bad, i understand that in fluff fics (or angst fics, which im guilty of) sometimes theres no room in tone to fully capture all of q!bad's complexities. but that doesn't mean i cant have some gripes!

i dont think this is exclusive to 4halo, but 4halo is also bad's current biggest ship, so a lot of it just happens to fall on it. but i really hate how fanon!bad gets stripped down to a mere love interest who is just...very perfect in how he interacts with romance. he wants to go on cute dates, he confesses in a very sweet way. he is kind and nice and a little insecure, and is just so boring. its very much reminiscent of old skephalo fics, where bad is seen as "innocent" and then any other interesting trait of his gets stripped away. i also end up feeling im reading about a highschooler, when q!bad is 11k+ and cc!bad (obviously influential of his character) is in his late 20s.

again, i understand why people write 4halo on cute dates and first kisses. thats what fanfic is for! but i cant help but see the entirety of the ao3 page full of these very...allo-typical romance plots and think "...he would not fucking say that." q!bad is messy as fuck! if you don't interpret him as arospec, then hes at the very least repressed, and not in a cute YA romance way. a 1k fic of pining that ends in a nice love confession just doesnt convince me im sorry!

and then there's the blue diamond obstacle that gets in the way of 4halo monogamy....skeppy. again, i get why most 4halo shippers arent going to mention him, cause theyre just not into anything skephalo. i cant blame them for that. but im a master nitpicker, so ill still nitpick cause this is my blog. bad brushing over skeppy is ooc. bad acting as if skeppy is in the past is ooc. bad pursuing any form of relationship without including skeppy is ooc. bad choosing any other person but skeppy to be his #1 is ooc. and yeah it sucks for shipping if you dislike q!skephalo, but thats how it is and its not changing. and also any fics that push bad to "move on" from skeppy is just ??? not only is that his soulmate across lifetimes, but skeppy isnt dead? hes just not on the island? help??? bad has two hands, but one hand will always hold skeppy's and he's made that abundantly clear many times.

anyways im also not immune to q!bad butchering in 4halo fics! ill admit that, in writing the hanahaki au, i couldn't really find time to fit a lot of q!bad's humor into it, and he ended up more openly angsty and sad and vulnerable then he really is, or would ever be. so i totally get it, and im fine if other qbad viewers despise how he's written in it. however i will stand by the fact that q4halo would never pursue a traditional relationship together, and i chose the ending to be ambiguous because thats how i believe their relationship (and feelings) are: ambiguous. that's why, to me, 4halo is so good. i don't want to read about them confessing their feelings. i want to read about how their relationship is an undefined, confusing mess that will never be defined, and im just so surprised that there aren't more fics like that out there.

physical touch: he isn't big on giving physical affection, it's just not his nature. he doesn't like PDA all too much and in private i believe that he doesn't change. its not that he hates physical touch, it's more like he doesn't like initiating it. if you're touchy and always want to hug or hang off of him who is he to reject your affections. if you were to jump into his arms or just collapse on him he wouldn't say anything about it... well he might complain but its not real complaining. i think instead of initiating hugs and kisses he's more if a kisses your hand or rub the back of your hand with his thumb—kind of guy.

acts of service: he likes to do hard labor to show you love. ofc he dose things like get you a glass of water or get you a blanket from the bottom deck but he likes to show off his strength. if you wanted a fish he'd come back with a whale—stuff like that. he'd try to tone it down if you don't like that but thats his best quality. he likes to do absolutely ridiculous things to simple tasks because he wants to impress you. sometimes sanji gets involved and then he HAS to show off bc who dose sanji think he is trying outdo him at his job (getting you chocolate milk)??????

quality time: he spends his free time training and sleeping mostly so he probably won't invite you to join him on his free time that often unless you like taking naps or watching. i think he'd think he's boring so he probably wouldn't to invite you anyway. sometimes he will just plop down beside you whenever you're on the deck and you two will sit in a comfortable silence. he'll tell you about how he's training to lift a ton or swing his sword faster, but he honestly wants you to do more of the talking. when you leave the ship he always wants to go with you. it doesn't matter if you're leaving to get 1 thing or 100 things or even just a breath of fresh air away from everyone he wants to be with you at all times even if he doesn't explicitly say it.

giving/receiving gifts: he doesn't have any money so dont expect anything extravagant. he gets you more food than anything because thats all he can really get yk. he tries to spice things up by getting you a bird or fruit from a island, maybe even some treasures that villages gift them as a way of saying thank you, but you get a lot of fish from him. he might also give you a kiss as a way of giving you something—you gotta rmr kissing really isn't his thing so that means a lot coming from him!! he's a pirate after all and he cant really show a lot of appreciation towards you in the gift department.

he's also easy to please. be doesn't really expect much, if you gave him a towel he'd cherish it. he knows its hard to really get the other anything especially with a kingpin nami being in charge of the money holding everyone hostage financially so he's be happy with anything. i also think he's also one of those people who are content with what they have/feel like they have all they need. he has his crew, his swords and you—what else dose he really need?

A bad day on set was, unfortunately, the norm for Roman.

Working at a studio seemingly fraught with misfortune was sure to be stressful, and dealing with a character like John Milton didn’t help matters. Usually, Roman’s moodiness manifested itself in frayed nerves and sometimes mild headaches. He always settled pretty quickly when he got home, though, and it didn’t take much to sooth him, unless he’d had a particularly long and difficult shoot that day. So you could tell right away that this wasn’t the usual ‘bad day’ you were all used to.

Roman was silent and didn’t pay you or Mickey much mind as he walked past you to the bedroom. You wanted to follow him and find out what was wrong, but you figured he would appreciate a bit of privacy right now. When you looked around, you realized Mickey had followed him instead, and you facepalmed.

You walked into the room and saw Mickey rifle through the drawers looking for a fresh shirt for Roman. He ended up handing him one of his own shirts, which you weren’t even sure was clean, and amazingly, Roman put it on without fussing. You grabbed his discarded shirt, one you had gifted him, and noticed the large stain on it.

"What’s wrong?" you asked, concerned, knowing the shirt couldn’t have been the sole reason for his somber mood.

"They cancelled the movie," he answered dully. You had never seen him so dreary. He was always very vocal and dynamic, qualities that were maybe in part due to his profession but also seemed inherent to him. But now he was pale and almost curling in on himself, and it was so far removed from his usual behavior that you felt a bit unsettled.

"Cancelled? But the movie was done, wasn’t it?" You asked, puzzled.

"Almost. We were about to go into post-production, but Sunrise pulled the plug," he explained. He looked at you for a few moments before turning away again, and you noticed how glassy his eyes were.

"There’s going to be a lot of backlash for this; maybe it’ll convince them to reverse the decision," you commented with a hopeful lilt in your voice.

Mickey came to sit next to Roman on the other side. "They won’t care about the backlash. It’s Hollywood; the only bad press is no press. Besides, people are gonna forget all about it as soon as the next bit of trashy gossip comes up."

"What about all the money and time lost?" you argued.

"They've got a bunch of other movies lined up for release. They’ll make the money back easy."

"This isn’t going to look bad for anyone but me. I’m the director. If they thought the movie wasn’t good enough for release, it’s gotta be my fault, right?" Roman said, despondent. He was avoiding looking at you or Mickey, and the way he clenched his eyes shut suggested he was trying to keep tears from falling.

"Hey..." Mickey nudged him lightly. "They’re all full of shit, anyway. Variety’s trash; you’re not a parasite," he said softly.

You looked at him quizzically, and as Roman turned to him slowly as well, you coughed into your fist to smother laughter.

"He’s right," you said, still covering a chuckle. "You’re not a parasite or a pariah. Who even reads Variety anyway?" you scoffed. "But you could be anything else you wanted to be, Roman. Even a pirate," you added teasingly, trying to get your dejected boyfriend to crack a smile. "We’ll support you no matter what,” you affirmed encouragingly.

"I’d let you plunder me," Mickey agreed with a lecherous grin.

"That is the worst pickup line I have ever heard," you snorted, but you were relieved to see Roman roll his eyes slightly and a half smile tug at his lips. It was only a small sign of positive emotion, but more than you'd seen from him until now.

"It’s not a pick-up line if the person in question is already picked up," Mickey says contrarily.

"Anyway, I’m going to draw you a bath and wash the shirt, okay?" you ask, grabbing Roman’s hand and giving it a light squeeze.

"I’m not sure that stain’s coming out. You might just have to throw it," he says, the half smile falling off his lips again, making you almost frown as well.

"If it won’t come out, it’s no big deal. I’ll get you another one," you promised.

You got the stain out for the most part, but there was just the faintest bit left if you squinted at it in the right lighting. You resolved to get Roman a brand new shirt, though you still held on to this one, figuring he’d like to keep it anyway. You laid out some clothes for him while he was getting out of the bath and went to greet Mickey, who was coming through the doorway with food.

"That was pretty quick. I thought the traffic would be killer," you commented, helping him with the bags.

"Not if you don’t let traffic lights stop you," Mickey said flippantly.

Roman joined you, looking a bit refreshed but still rather downcast.

"I got your favorite from that place over on Kinney Blvd," Mickey said to Roman. "And some booze," he said, holding up two bottles of wine. He put them down on the table.

Roman didn’t speak much, but you were glad to see him eating contentedly. You only took a few bites of your desert and pushed the rest towards him. Before he could fully voice his refusal, Mickey grabbed it and scarfed it down instead. You shook your head a bit, but you grinned at him anyway.

"Thanks," Roman said, perking up a bit. He sat at the table and grimaced as Mickey bent down to lay a wet smack on his forehead and cheek. He didn’t swat him away, though; in fact, you almost thought he leaned into the touch a little bit. So you and Mickey shifted your chairs closer to him and dug into the food.

Later, you sat on the couch together, your hands carding through Roman’s hair gently. He was usually meticulous about his hair, but he did occasionally let you and Mickey touch it. It was particularly soft and fragrant now as he laid his head on your shoulder. He completely relaxed against you, and if not for Mickey occasionally feeding him chips, you’d think he was asleep. Roman made a few off-the-cuff comments about the movie, but rather than bicker, Mickey looked pleased as he laid his own head in Roman’s lap and stared up at him instead of at the TV.

Later still, when you all retreated to bed, you and Mickey laid on either side of Roman. The middle was almost always reserved for you since Mickey tended to shift around and cuddle and would inevitably disturb Roman’s sleep. He put up a tiny protest now at being relegated to the middle, but he settled in quickly and seemed perfectly cozy between the two of you.

"We’re supposed to start shooting another movie in a few weeks. But right now, I don’t even know if I want to," Roman confessed quietly.

"I’ll kill Milton for you," Mickey proclaimed suddenly.

"It wasn’t his call," Roman sighed.

"Give me the names," Mickey demanded.

"Tarantino," you declared with a false, ominous tone of voice. "He was the fiend behind this."

Mickey went silent for a beat at this proclamation, then stated confidently, "Hell, I’d kill him too. Say the word, and I’ll send you his feet," he said, sounding almost too serious compared to his usual jokey speech.

"I might not jump straight to homicide, but I’ll key his car or like, graffiti a giant dick on his garage door," you offered Roman, tucking your face against his neck and inhaling his scent.

"Yeah, well, thanks for offering to murder Tarantino and deface his property, but I really don’t want his feet," Roman said deadpan.

"Can we at least send him some hate mail?" you asked.

"Now, that’s taking it a bit too far," Mickey interjected gravely. "We have to at least respect the man’s artistic integrity."

"You literally just offered to kill him for no reason."

"Yes, but that doesn’t mean I don’t still admire his work," Mickey argued.

You snicked, and Roman followed suit, and you couldn’t see each other that well in the dark, but you were sure Mickey’s beaming smile matched your own.
