I want to jump on this topic of Shirakumo being more of a prop than a person, because it’s pretty strange for an MHA character that’s attached to multiple plots. He really is completely defined by his relationships with others, there to pull other characters along. And Kurogiri is barely his own person too; a walking quirk, Aizawa and Mic’s dead friend, Shigaraki’s guide, AFO’s pawn. In the final war, he’s been nothing but a tool. To make things worse, it’s implied that most of his current personality is a result of either brainwashing or mental alterations.
He’s unusually shallow for a frequently recurring MHA character. No thoughts, head empty, only other people. The extent of his complexity is wondering who he’s meant to be, because not even he knows who he is.
But if that’s all on purpose, it’s honestly pretty fantastic storytelling, and if its not on purpose then its still pretty cool, because AFO’s primary form of abuse is dehumanization. The nomu, especially, are not seen as people by the heroes until very recently. Since Kurogiri will likely be the centerpiece of the inevitable nomu lore dump (Horikoshi promised he’d spell out all the details of them), his character is undeniably tied to that same dehumanization. Let’s not forget that Shirakumo’s death was related to how heroes don’t see themselves as people that need protection too.
It also ties into Horikoshi’s comments on how he thought of this story by reminiscing on how used to see teachers as nothing more than teachers. The obvious connection is the other two, and Aizawa and Mic were given more depth thanks to Shirakumo, but Kurogiri definitely had a “teacher” role, too.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We’ve already seen the fragmented start of Kurogiri introspection. I’m hoping we’ll be getting a lot more of it because it’s sorely needed for his character to work.

𝐈𝐳𝐮𝐤𝐮 𝐌𝐢𝐝𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐲𝐚 - 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐊𝐢𝐬𝐬
a/n: This is my very first fanfic for MHA and i just started watching the show a few days ago (i mostly play my hero ultra rumble) so please bare with me and let me know if i should fix or improve any thing
What the story includes: Gender neutral reader, kissing, and some fluff
Tumblr media
You stared at the boy with vibrant green hair, your eyes widening slightly as you took in his presence. Clad in your pajamas, you couldn't help but feel a mix of surprise and curiosity. Deku, sensing the awkward silence, turned his crimson face away from you. "Well, will you?" he asked, shifting his weight nervously. You were at a loss for words, unsure of how to respond to Deku's unexpected question.
After a few moments of standing at the door, you finally found your voice. " You want me to show you how to kiss?" you asked, your heart pounding in your chest. Deku nodded softly, his apprehension evident. "It's okay if you don't want to. It was a weird question to ask, anyways. Why did I ask you? You're such a good friend," he muttered, his words filled with self-doubt. Quickly, you interrupted his self-deprecating thoughts. "Izuku, I never said no, but why?" you asked, genuinely curious about his reasoning.
He sighed, his gaze returning to your half-asleep figure. "Kacchan and the others found out that I haven't kissed anyone. They assumed I lack experience because I haven't had my first kiss," he explained, trailing off. "It made me feel bad, so I asked you, knowing you're one of my closest friends, to help me out."
You sighed, stepping aside to let Deku into your room. "I don't mind helping, but couldn't it have waited until morning?" you asked, rubbing your tired eyes. "I couldn't sleep because of it," he mumbled, taking a seat on your bed. Understanding his restlessness, you nodded and joined him, noticing his hands fidgeting with his shorts.
Observing his nervousness, the blush on his face, and the slight trembling of his hands, it was clear that the idea of not having kissed anyone before weighed heavily on him. "Izuku, how am I going to teach you if you're not looking at me?" you gently prodded, hoping to ease his anxiety. Slowly, his eyes shifted to meet yours. "Good. Well, kissing should come naturally. There are no rules or guidelines. If you're with the right person, it shouldn't feel so strange," you reassured him with a small smile.
"You know," you said with a small smile, reassuring him, "sometimes you just have to go for it and see where the kiss takes you. Give it a try." You watched as he gulped nervously before leaning in, connecting your lips briefly before pulling away. "Like that?" he asked, his voice filled with uncertainty. Unable to contain your laughter, you giggled and replied, "Sure, if you're kissing your grandma." His eyes widened in shock, and he stammered, "Wha-"
"Joking, Izuku," you quickly reassured him. "Try to keep the kiss going and don't be afraid to touch the person you're kissing." Deku looked down, unable to meet your gaze. "I was joking! I didn't mean to make you feel bad-" Before you could finish your sentence, Deku's hand grabbed your chin, crashing his lips onto yours. His other hand gripped your side as his lips moved flawlessly against yours. Closing your eyes, you gave in to the kiss, your hand resting on the side of his neck. After a good five minutes, you both pulled away, the silence hanging in the air. A red blush formed on your cheeks as you tried to find the right words. "Y/n? Why are you so red? Did I do something wrong?" Deku asked, concern evident in his voice. Shaking your head quickly, you felt flustered. "No, I just wasn't expecting that. And you said you had no experience, right?"
"Nope, you're my first kiss," he chuckled nervously, scratching his head. "I really don't believe you. You kissed better than anyone else I've kissed," you said, your voice filled with surprise. "Even Bakugo," you muttered to yourself, but Deku caught on. "You kissed Kacchan?!" he exclaimed.
"No?" you smiled nervously. "Well, it was only one time. We were dared when we hung out with Denki and Eijiro. We might have been drunk, but that's not the point," you realized you were muttering and noticed a confused Deku staring at you. "Anyway, you shouldn't care what they say. You've already kissed someone, and you're pretty darn good at it."
"Thank you, Y/N, I truly appreciate it. He chuckles before rising to leave. Pausing for a moment, he appears lost in thought. "We should definitely do that again sometime," he suggests before exiting your dorm, leaving you feeling flustered.

A little rant over the why I consider that Todoroki Shouto is autistic
Disclaimer: As always, this is just one of my many theories. Please don’t attack me for this, if you don’t like it, scroll and continue with your life.
This is the third mha character that I have analysed, and I also think he is the least likely to be autistic (strangely enough because he is also the one more often read as autistic). This is because a lot of his actions can also be read  as trauma responses rather than autistic traits, however, this is your friendly reminder that autistic people can (and are actually statistically more likely) to have PTSD. For Shouto, I think it is both autism and C-PTSD.
This post HAS manga spoilers!
—----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Insistence on sameness, and difficulty dealing with change
Even though this is not explicitly said anywhere (as far as I know), it’s something that you can definitely notice if you look very closely.
Todoroki remodelled his entire dorm in a day for it to be the same as it was in his home for comfort. He even went to the extent of changing the floors. That shows that he has difficulty dealing with transitions (moving from home, to the dorms).
He is also a very stubborn person, shown in his insistence to only use his ice side for so long. And even though we know this is connected to his trauma towards fire, even after he starts overcoming that, he still heavily relies on his ice, and has a tendency (almost a routine) to always using it first.
Tumblr media
Strong sense of justice
Todoroki has an incredible sense of justice, and not in the ´follow every rule’ way like Iida. Todoroki has never hesitated to break the rules to stand up for what he thinks is right. He literally considered torture in USJ arc, if it meant gaining information that could potentially safe lives. In the Kamino Ward arc, he decided to break the rules and go and save Bakugou because he knew that’s what was right (even if it was illegal). He followed Bakugou and Izuku even though it was dangerous and he technically shouldn’t have, but he still went and fought alongside them. In the ‘World Heroes’ Mission’ movie he didn’t hesitate to help Izuku and tell him how to escape even though he was literally accused of mass murder. I think there are many examples of this in general.
It also shows that he is a very loyal person, which isn’t an autistic trait (I think), just a very cool thing about him.
Tumblr media
Recognizes patterns easier than his peers
I have two specific examples for this.
Calling himself a hand crusher. He definitely recognized a pattern there. He fought with Midoriya -> He injured his hand. He fought with Iida -> Iida injured his hand. Therefore Hand injuries are caused by him (under this logic).
He was quick to figure out why the villains were at the USJ, and that they definitely had a solid plan. (In a similar way, Tsuyu did the same, who I also headcanon as autistic, but that’s off topic).
Speaking differences/struggles
Todoroki has what can be described as a ‘flat tone’. There are only some very specific scenes where he raises his voice, but in general, his voice tone never really changes. Even when delivering jokes, or sarcastic comments, his tone is always the same.
Tumblr media
Struggles with social cues and reading other people tones
I believe this is one of his most recognized traits. He has a lot of difficulty understanding sarcasm and exaggeration when it comes from others, even being told by others that he is ‘too clueless’ (Mount Lady, and Min*ta). He takes things very literally, a good example of this being when Mt Lady told him that girls would die for his smile, and he took it very seriously, to the point where not even under Mr. Smileys quirk he didn't actually smile.
He also struggles ‘reading the room’ and social cues, having in mind the way that he is convinced that he is friends with Bakugou. (He is. Bakugou is just in denial/hj. They definitely care for each other, and they ARE friends. But Todoroki considered him a friend way before Bakugou even considered it).
Tumblr media
Says things directly
Todoroki says things with 0 to no hesitation. He is not afraid at all to call people out. He says things like they are, he doesn't sugar code anything. There are many examples of this, like him fighting with the chief of the police, every possible interaction he has had with Endeavor, him saying that he didn’t even notice Hagakure was with him in the USJ, him telling Midoriya that he is objectively better than him and others. Trauma dumping on Midoriya during the sports festival. This might come out as rude sometimes, but he definitely (mostly) doesn't do it with bad intentions.
‘Flat’ facial expressions
Same as his voice, his facial expressions don’t really change, and it could be argued that they don't match his emotions. For example when he froze Sero during their fight in the sports festival, and even though he didn’t really looked angry, he apologises and tells him that he was angry.
Tumblr media
Comfort food and being a ‘picky’ eater (term that I don’t personally like, but I’m using to make a point)
Shouto really likes Soba. Especially cold soba. He is seen eating it in the anime, and it is stated in the character profile of the manga’s second volume. He even offers it to Midoriya when he is sad (that was really cute by the way, I do that too. You’re sad? Let me get some chocolate for you!)
It being cold can be because of two things.
Sensory issues about food temperature.
Him not liking boiling water because of what happened with his mother.
Either way, it is canon that he loves cold soba.
Genetic factor
I am not here to do an Endeavor analysis, but ASD is considered to have a genetic factor and Endeavor has some autistic traits as well, including fixated interests, saying things directly, difficulty with volume control, and others.
This is also your friendly reminder that autistic people are NOT saints and can commit crimes, mistakes, abuse etc.
Moving on because I don’t enjoy talking about Endeavor /hj
Low empathy and difficulty reading other people emotions
Just like Bakugou, he struggles identifying and expressing his own emotions, and has difficulty relating to other people's feelings. I think a perfect example of that is his interaction with Iida during the Hero Killer arc. He also stuggled with this a lot after Dabi revealed he was his brother, and he definetly had problems grieving him.
He also doesn't really know how to show empathy, I think that’s why he offered soba to Deku. He didn’t know what else he could do to help and show that he cared. And he is usually looking for solutions rather than offering support.
Tumblr media
(not related picture, I just thought his face was really funny here).
Stimming
Admittedly, I couldn’t find many examples of stimming in him. But I noticed that he has a tendency to rub his finger when he is thinking.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Special interest
Becoming a hero, and in a way, All Might. I don’t have much proof of this rather than a vibe, but he doesn’t have any other interests or hobbies apart from this (apart from reading manga), which leads me to believe it’s his special interest.
Other details that I want to mention (aka, the headcanon zone)
He is often seen wearing sweaters, which I believe can be a consequence of sensory issues, and he has a very high pain tolerance. He is very observant as well.
I don’t have proof of this, but I headcanon that he is like me, and doesn’t notice that there is something wrong with him unless it’s extreme. I rarely notice that I need to go to the bathroom until I’m about to pee myself. I live constantly dehydrated because I forget to drink water and I don't really get thirsty. And I don’t notice I’m in  pain unless it’s pretty extreme.
—----------------------------------------------------------------------------
That’s it, thank you for reading! I love Todoroki. When I started the series he very quickly became one of my favourite characters.
Next up in my list, Shigaraki!

I recently am now looking through the mha fandom for the first time and discovered your blog. Looking through your posts and analysis you seem like you’re quite knowledgeable about Horikoshi’s writing or him in general and are confident about the potential of bkdk being canon. In fact, quickly looking through the bkdk tags, a lot people on here are quite confident about the relationship, whether viewing it platonic or romantic. Now I kinda expected that, as a bkdk shipper as well, but I became confused when I found alot of people implying that Horikoshi “ships” bkdk or encourages it. For the longest time I’ve only ever consumed the anime and never really knew what’s been going on in the fandom. So I don’t know much about Horikoshi, but I swear I heard way back about him not liking the ship bkdk and deliberately implying the relationship between Izuku and Uruaka. The questions I’m getting at here is, what makes you think that Horikoshi wants bkdk to be canon and is there any hints about it outside of the main anime/manga that supports that? I acknowledge how it’s hinted at that bkdk heavily “need each other” or something like that in the anime/manga, I just always thought it was always going to be platonic and that Izuku and Uruaka will be end game. Maybe it is that and everyone is just joking about Horikoshi, idk I’m confused and lost lol.
Okay what you're asking for is a little strange, because Hori's storytelling really does speak for itself, his heart shows up the most in his writing of bkdk, but here goes…!
In regards to Hori’s feelings about them, hmm I’m going to get there one day soon(tm), but I’ll give you two examples outside the manga that show bkdk are important to him and why Hori is a bkdk like us.
First is when an interviewer was asking about Kirishima saving Katsuki and Hori responded to him with a sentiment that sounded a lot like “actually the takeaway from this scene was bkdk. that it was a bittersweet moment because Izuku couldn’t be the one to take his hand… but the decision was made." He really deflected the topic away from Kirishima and pointed at bkdk "Look at them instead".
Tumblr media
Showing importance of that decision to bkdk’s development because THEY are what’s most important to the series, not any of their relationships with the main side characters. (And then we got the parallel to this where Katsuki feels he didn’t have what it took to take Izuku’s hand during the Deku retrieval arc. Regrets, regrets, regrets... everywhere. Now Katsuki is dead and Izuku "still hasn't told him ____")
My second example is something I bring up on twitter a bit, but that's only because it's so validating.
So you know when Katsuki died, every bkdk was crying and/or freaking out, right? Back then the mood was… “How is Izuku going to react to this?” And in a lot of bkdk’s hearts, we imagined Izuku kneeling at Katsuki’s side, embracing him, possibly acting very protectively over his body. People drew fanart of this.
I also had this kind of vision of him... but back then, MANY of us did.
Tumblr media
But for the most part, we knew it wouldn’t be practical in the middle of a fight setting and then come January, Horikoshi showed us he felt the exact same way as us about them with his Volume 37 cover “illustration.” It was like a brainworm image of Izuku and Katsuki he couldn't get out of his head unless he drew it for the cover, something he felt bkdk deserved, but he couldn't give it to them in the manga because of the unrealism and impracticality of it happening mid-fight.
What I’m saying is: when Katsuki died, all bkdks dreamed of Izuku holding him close and/or protecting him and Horikoshi turned that collective vision, that many of us felt in our hearts, into a freaking volume cover.
As bkdks, we have this idea in our heads of these characters; what motivates them, what or who are important to them, because this far along the story, these characters are basically writing themselves. And by him and us connecting on this feeling Izuku has with Katsuki, Hori is confirming the way we see Izuku and the importance of his intense love for Katsuki as "the correct version" of Izuku that also exists in HIS mind, and he showed his hand to us of him being the biggest bkdk out of all of us. He quite literally is our King of BkDk.
Tumblr media
The reveal of this cover is the moment I knew, without a doubt, that Hori was one of us. And that's not even factoring in that Edgeshot quote. Even that is a whole thing in itself to unpack, which I've done multiple times already.
If Hori's chosen composition and overall mood for this cover weren't already damning enough evidence for his love of bkdk and intent on making them canon, the other thing of note is that the red fingers in their background are HEAVILY inspired by Berserk.
When I saw it, I got flashbacks of the eclipse, and the hand that lifted Griffith out of Guts' reach. It also turns out there was a very similar "lovers" pose between Guts and Casca for that eclipse content. And then there are all of those Spider-Man death embraces with Gwen Stacy.
The inspirations for this volume 37 for the hero comic-loving Horikoshi are quite clear: Izuku is embracing his future lover.

Katsuki Bakugou
Part one- Fake Dating
Part one of twisting Clichés with the MHA characters. Tell me what I should write next!
WC- 4,271
"Hearts, kisses, and golden roses." You read aloud. The paper in your palms felt so thin, so delicately luxurious, you almost trembled holding it in your hands. Your fingers slid the paper back into the golden coated envelope. You held the envelope like it might catch on fire if you held it too hard.
"It's a couples event." You looked up at Endeavor. He was giving you those gleaming red eyes that captured everyone's respect. Respect that was well earned when it came to the work of his heroics and battle skills, his personality on another hand you found to be a bit challenging. Just because his eyes gained respect, it failed to collect your understanding.
A snort came from behind you, the only other person standing in the room with you. You twisted a glance over your shoulder.
Bakugou was slouched against the window that spilled light into the wide room and illuminated you and everything in it. Not a single spot was untouched by the sun, still Katsuki's snarl casted a shadow over his features.
"A couples event?"
"Yes, Bakugou. That's what I said."
"Then try again, because there is absolutely no way in hell that you are saying what I think you're saying."
You kept your mouth glued shut and glanced between the two men.
Katsuki challenged Endeavor with his tone, and the man seemed unbothered. Him and everyone was used to the blonde's audacity by now, especially now after recently graduating from UA.
You found him funny, it wasn't often you took him seriously. Frankly, a strange connection of respect and admiration had grown for him over the years of knowing him.
You would admit you couldn't stand him at first.
"A Villain is targeting couples, with little connection but attending this event." Endeavor closed his arms over his chest and stared Katsuki down, he waited until the scowling man was back slouching against the window before he continued, "I want the two of you to go undercover. Odds are more promising with a younger couple, and you two are the best choice for this."
A breathy closed-mouthed scoff rang from Bakugou again, "That's a load of BS, why me? Ask pretty-boy Shoto to do it!"
"Unfortunately, my son lacks the emotion to pull this off."
"Then, Deku!"
"He's terrible at lying and undercover work. You know that."
He tried again, "Kaminari!"
You almost snorted when Endeavor raised a brow, "Really?" He shook his red hair with a sigh, waving his hand through the air, "This will be your first real mission as a pro-hero, Dynamight. It puts you well above your peers, and I know that's motivation that oughta drive you."
You expected to find Katsuki's stubborn grimace when you turned back to him. No, his eyes softened and his posture rose. He looked like he was considering it, like just the thought of being ahead was enough to alter his mind.
Then he looked at you, and you had to make yourself push down a grin, "Why the hell are you so quiet?!"
"I'm getting information, King Explosion Lord Dynamight."
"It's Great Explosion Murder God DynaMight." He scoffed, making a chortle leave you.
"Are the two of you in, or not?" The irritated tone made your head flip back to the pro. The light tapping of his foot drowned out Katsuki's grumbling.
Just the knowledge of you being the first call for this, next to Bakugou— one of the top students in your class —made it a little easier for you to straighten your spine, and a little harder for you to humble yourself, "I'm down."
"Fine." Katsuki mumbled, sulking up until he was standing beside you, "What's the plan?"
This time you did laugh. You gave the most taunting grin you could manage, and jammed an elbow into your comrade's side.
"Be disgustingly adorable."
•─────⋅☾ ☽⋅─────•
The beat of the high pitched clicking of your heels made a few people turn and stare. The bodycon dress wrapped around your body did everything to bring out every bit of curve you had and exaggerate it. The webby abstract colored dress was different tones of desaturated red print pattern.
You stood out in a way that made you hold your head higher than you ever had.
"I swear to God, Endeavor's agency is dust once this is over."
Katsuki's exasperated pout was a sight you could never truly get over. He was wearing a suit and tie, the jacket matching the print pattern dyed into your dress. You hooked your arm through his and smiled at the people giving the two of you looks.
You whispered through your smile, words only you and him would hear, "Oh, don't be that way, Dynamight. Put on a smile, your face is making us look less cute."
"We are not cute."
"The people staring disagree."
His lips pressed into a line and he didn't say another word. You felt the fabric of Katsuki's suit jacket rubbing against your arm with each step you took closer to the large dressed-in-black man guarding the entrance of the lively building.
His skin was dark, his head bald, eyebrows and jaw sharp, and his body large and firm. Yeah, you wouldn't want to mess with the guy either. He seemed like a good selection to be placed at the front door. You caught a glimpse of a spiral-cord microphone connecting to his ear, you nudged Katsuki a little to make sure he saw it as well.
"Invitation." His voice was deep and large and made you shiver.
Your own words rung through your head, Be disgustingly adorable.
You slapped on a sloppy grin, and poked your lips out. You felt the boy you held stiffen when you turned to his body and clung to him with loose arms that strung over his chest and gripped at his shoulder.
"Katsua~" You pulled down a grimace at the terrible attempt at a code name, you cooed the name off your tongue. It was almost amusing to watch his face turn bright red, "Did you bring the invitation, my love?"
"Ye-" He cleared his throat, "-Yeah L/n... just–"
You didn't wait for him to finish. You reached down, stretching your arm behind his back and digging into his back pocket. You pulled the filled envelope out and handed it to the wide-eyed security guard who wore something close to a grimace.
Bingo, you thought as the widely built man took the invitation and unhooked the golden tape separating the crowd from the entrance.
Katsuki's arm shifted as he put his hand into the pocket of his suit. When you looked at him, the humiliation that he was so usually unphased by took over the color of his skin and replaced it with something bright, flushed, and vibrant.
You waited until you were further into the building, and the slow faint music was drowning out anything you could say. The hallway, otherwise, was silent.
You tugged lightly at Katsuki's arm, "Are you alright, Bakugou?"
From his silence you thought he was ignoring you. He kept walking with a clenched jaw and his arm locked around yours. You'd given up, your arm loosened around his and your body inched away.
His voice surprised you, "Mind your own business."
You left it there.
Golden valance lighting hit your face, waiters' black tuxedo's and golden cuffs seemed suiting in the rose toned room. The party was not that of a teenage rave, or a junky bar. It took the shape of fancy slow paced parties, the ones rich people dreaded but showed up to anyways.
"Where to first?" The question was sarcastic, and Katsuki's eyes were skimming over the crowd.
Some were seated with silver trays of gourmet food, some were stationed at the bar near the back. Two bartenders hassled, putting on a show as they served already drunk couples. Others were clapping along and frolicking to the Jazz selection.
What cuter than a couple dancing?
"Can you dance?"
Katsuki's face grimaced, but it looked like a pathetic attempt to hide the red that still brushed his cheeks and ears, "Eh? Yea' I can dance."
"Great, teach me." You tightened around his arm, starting to pull him in the direction of the galloping movements of the couples.
The ground clapped around in renditions of the fast paced Mambo partner dance. The in sync steps of the crowd's side stepping echoed through the floor. You frowned, but only because you realized something.
"We aren't gonna stand out like this." You said. The goal was to draw the Villain out and become their target by matching the cheesy sickness that they obviously grudge against. They weren't going to do that while dancing In a crowd of actual sickeningly adorable couples.
"This is so beneath me." The familiar grumbling of Bakugou was something you didn’t even blink at. His arm slid from yours and he moved away, "Stay here."
And then you were left standing between a crowd of a hundred dancers. Being left alone you suddenly felt self conscious of every part of yourself, the heels on your feet, the dress fretting off at your lower thigh, your hair tickling your ear.
Zoning in, the smiles of the present couples were almost calming. Until it wasn't anymore, since the sudden realization that if you didn't pull this off, any one of them could be picked off. To think at least one of them had plans with each other, to go home and light a candle and fall in love all over again.
You were determined to make sure their plans were kept.
The music faded, the ricocheting echoes becoming nothing but a whisper. The dancers stopped frolicking. They turned their heads and whispered questions to each other knowing they didn't have the answers. You almost did the same thing, but you kept the question in your head; What was going on?
Static replaced the music in the wide room, yours and everyone else's heads darted around to find the source. Your eyes found a head of blonde spikes, he stumbled forward, pulling the cord of a microphone after his feet. Small curses were heard through the speakers.
Where did he find that at?
More importantly, what was he doing?
You shuffled past a few idle couples, peeking over shoulders while moving to the front of the crowd to get a better look at your comrade. Surely enough you found a pair of red eyes, grimacing, scowling. Honestly, he looked like he might throw up.
He pulled at the collar of his suit, pulling the microphone up to his mouth, "Listen. I thought this event was stupid, and idiotic. To be honest, I still think it's stupid, and idiotic."
Oh my god, you almost said out loud. You caught the words before they left. You glared at Bakugou in hopes he saw the glint in your eyes and you know he did, because he made the smallest movement of his hand, telling you to back off.
"Well, uh… here's to doing things ya' don't wanna for the people we love." Katsuki threw his hands onto the pockets of his slacks, tapping his other fingers along the microphone.
Your heart sped up and after a second it wasn't there. You could have sworn that it stopped. That if you were attached to a monitor it would be screaming that high, monotoned hum.
A few chuckles echoed in the room, specifically the men who vacated their spots, while the women gave small smiles. All eyes were on Bakugou now, all eyes. If this didn't catch a Villain's attention, you honestly didn't know what would.
"I honestly didn't think I'd be lucky enough to find someone to accept me. All of me. To accept that I will never be the kind of person to climb on a stage and– well do what I'm doing now, humiliate myself." He growled the last words, earning more laughter from the crowd encircling you. His eyes fell on yours, and there your heartbeat was again. Why was it doing that? "I don't feel like someone who needs to be fixed when I'm–" He stopped, you watched a swallow climb down his throat. He parted his lips and he moved his eyes off of yours, "Any… anyways- So as compensation to her, I'm embarrassing myself like a loser. Enjoy it, you'll never get it again… Hey, Y/n? Can I have this dance?"
Suddenly, the crowd's eyes were on you. You weren't even aware of your eyes darting around the room, and by time you were, the crowd had already started cheering encouragement and the music started ricocheting off the walls again. This time it was slower, softer.
You gave a small shake of your head, stepping forward and separating yourself from the crowd. Katsuki helped you up on the platform and you made yourself force away whatever feelings were attacking you.
You smiled at the blonde once you were on your feet, "Do you really love me?~"
He whispered, only for your ears, "Oh shut the hell up. Be disgustingly adorable? Right?"
"Admit it, you love me. That was too good to be a facade, I thought you don't like lying?"
"I don't. I never said I wasn't good at it."
"Too good."
"Well, a lot of it was true."
You stopped. Full on froze right there. You ran through his monolog in your head, trying to pick apart which parts he was talking about. Your thoughts were sliced, cut off when a hand grabbed you by your waist and pulled you forward.
Katsuki gave a glance to the crowd, "Bear with her, she can't dance."
They laughed. You swallowed.
Katsuki turned back to you. He clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth, he placed a hand on your back, he grabbed your other hand. Then he smiled, actually smiled, it was more of a cocky grin, but a smile nonetheless. "You're red, and quiet. Guess that means I win."
"Wha- win what?!"
"You don't know? You started a war outside, L/n."
"Bakugou-"
He shook his head, "Shut up and dance with me."
•─────⋅☾ ☽⋅─────•
"Did you have fun?"
"Eh, I'm not passed out at a table.."
"To think you didn't want to come at first, see? I know what I'm talking about."
"Don't get ahead of yourself, L/n."
"Excuse me, can I help you?"
A few decreasing feet in front of you, a tall golden-skinned man took short steps down the hallway in your direction. He wore a blue suit jacket and matching slacks, the button polo underneath was jet black. It contrasted the white hair that was elegantly swept to the back, and with the help of hair gel; it had a radiant shine.
Your arm tightened around Katsuki's, "Oh, we were on our way out. Are you the host?"
"No, I am not. I manage the parlor, that's all." He said. Now that he was closer, you could make out the blistered scar covering the right side of his face and neck. His right eye was completely white, glowing and terrifying compared to his other ocean blue eye. You gave a smile and tried to hide the chill that collected on your spine. He continued, "The exit is on the other side of the building, you seem a little lost."
"Nope. Pretty sure it was this way." Katsuki shrugged. You gave him a glance, and any other person would have missed the slight twitch under his eye, or the way the corner of his lip bucked downwards.
"I've been working here for almost two years." The man pulled at the cuff on his jacket, pulling it up and folding it back on his arm. "I can assure you, the exit is nowhere over here. Here, I'll show you the way. I insist."
He moved past you two. A strange wind itching your skin when he floated on by. He stopped at a door. The way you and Katsuki were heading was not the right way, but you knew that was not either. He slid the door open, and scooped his hand towards the dark room behind it. You took in a breath.
"You first." Katsuki said, nodding forward. For a moment you thought he was talking to you, but his red eyes were challenging the scarred man without shame. You prayed he didn't blow your cover, you prayed your heart would stop pounding.
The man's eyes narrowed. A frown curled into his lips and for several moments he and Katsuki stood there. Frowning at each other.
Finally he gave a small smile. He bowed his head, "Very well."
And he disappeared behind the corner of the threshold.
Katsuki leaned down, he mumbled in your ear, "Let's not end this before it starts. Stay close to me, don't let go of my arm."
"I don't need your protection—"
"Don't be an ass right now. I mean it. I'm not protecting you, I'm trying to cover both of our asses."
You breathed out, "Fine."
You and Katsuki both went through the door together. Your eyes started adjusting to the darkness, but soon the room was dimly lit by a lamp. The room was basically empty except a few sheetfed couches and tables.
The man pulled his arm away from the string on the lamp and nodded to another hallway behind another door, "This way."
You touched the side of your waist, feeling the fleece to make sure the wire attached to your dress was still there. You gave a small breath when you felt the small hard shape of the device.
Katsuki pulled you forward, tightening his arm around yours and trailing after the man.
"You are the one who put that show on earlier, yes?"
Katsuki stiffened, "Yeah. That's me. What about it?"
"Nothing, I suppose. You must really love the little lady."
You huffed, "I am hardly litt–"
"Yeah, whatever." Katsuki spoke over you, his red eyes glaring at you for a moment. You rolled your eyes.
Silence echoed abong the three of you, it was silence that made your breathing sound deadening. Katsuki's eyes never left the man for even a moment. He glared at his back. And you let him.
The man started again, "I am sorry if my presence is bringing any uncomfort. The two of you are awfully quiet."
"Long night." Katsuki said quickly, tilting his head backwards and gleaming. "I'm sure you get that, eh?"
"More than you will ever know." He responded, stopping at another door. His hand reached for the door knob. His eyes paused on you, "You got really lucky with him."
You felt a knot in your throat. You couldn't speak so you just smiled and nodded. You watched as he disappeared through the door and waited for Katsuki to take the first step forward before you did the same.
"I was once with someone. We were inseparable, quite like the two of you…" His voice got low. You looked around the room. Another empty room but this one had a fireplace near the wall. There were no other doors in this room, none at all. Just the moon's light peering in through a barred window. You looked back at the man, looked as he slowly turned to face you two, "Unfortunately, it didn't last."
"I thought you were showing us an exit?" You mumbled.
Katsuki pulled away, he let go of your arm and turned on his feet. He crouched down, and with a heavy scoff he spat, "Yea' this freak show has gone on long enough."
You did the same, crouched down and got ready to defend against any attacks.
The man seemed unphased. He didn't seem to care that the two of you seemed pretty capable of warding him off. He was still, his arms folded behind his back, his blue eyes still on something that didn't seem to be in the room.
His lips parted slightly, "I stand by and watch as these folks smile and laugh, and all I am reminded of is what was taken from me. You don't deserve to be happy. Not when I never got the chance."
"So this makes you happy?" Katsuki seethed, "Ruining other people's lives?"
"Nothing makes me happy. This? This makes me sane."
"Well, if that ain't a lovely pile of bullshit—"
"What happened?" You said, moving a little further from Katsuki. His red eyes snapped towards you, as if he forgot you were in the room. Your voice wasn't harsh, it was soft, you stepped closer to him, "Was she killed? Did she leave?"
"Killed." He said, taking an unsure step backwards. "She and our unborn child were slaughtered."
"By who?"
"By… by wh- by a maniac!"
"Who killed her?"
"I don't– what is wrong with your eyes- what are you doing to me?-"
Your eyes were glowing, indistinct shades of orange and blue. You felt every nerve in his cerebrum, traveling memory after memory, your own consciousness sliding through nerve after nerve.
You found the one you were looking for, the memory you were looking for. The memory of a death. The memory of a wife carrying a child. You knew he was reliving that memory, feeling it. You know because you were. You saw fire. You ran into it. You held a girl in your arms, not yours– his arms. Her lifeless eyes. You felt his pain as if it were your own.
"Get… get out of my head!"
You did. You blinked and you were back in the empty room. The man— who's name you found was Kagome —was on the ground, clutching his head. He gripped his hair. He was wheezing air filled sobbes and he sank in his own self pity.
He moved, looking up only to glare at you. You saw his glassy eyes and almost felt bad, "You are–"
Katsuki kicked his gut. Kagome rolled over, falling on his back with a gasp. You expected him to kick him again, but he didn't. Katsuki crouched down and grabbed a handful of the Kagome's polo.
The blonde spat in his face with merciless words,
"You are gonna rot behind bars, freak."
•─────⋅☾ ☽⋅─────•
You watched from the stairs as they ushered the Villain into the police car in quirk resistant cuffs. His white hair ducked into the car and the door locked him away.
"Good job."
You looked up at Endeavor. He offered you a small cup of coffee, his otherwise burning stern features, soft. You'll admit you never liked him. You still don't. Not after everything you heard he had done to Todoroki, who was your comrade and friend. You couldn't like him. But he's changed, and that you could respect.
You grabbed the cup, felt it warm your palms, "Thank you."
"Bakugou said this was all you." He looked over to Bakugou, who had your eyes for several minutes now. He was ducking away, dodging, and scolding All Might who was offering hugs and praise.
You shook your head, "I didn't do much."
"You caught your first serial killer. It's something."
Then he walked away.
Katsuki shoved All Might away for the final time. He wore a snarl as he left the retired hero and started walking towards you. You pulled the coffee cup towards your face. You tilted your head and let the warm taste fill you.
"Where the hell did you get coffee from?!" Katsuki shouted.
You pulled your hands down to your lap, "I pulled it out of my ass."
He raised a brow. You shook your head.
"Endeavor gave it to me."
"That flaming piece of shit, gimme that!"
Bakugou snatched the coffee from your hands. He lifted the lid and fell to sit on the seat next to you. You watched him as he took a few sips from the cup and handed it back to you.
You wiped your hands on your dress. Once they weren't sweating anymore you grabbed the cup. You gave Katsuki a small smirk, "Ya'know? I think you might be finally growing a beard. I see a stubble coming in."
Katsuki knitted his eyebrows together. He rubbed a hand to run over his chin and he grimaced, "God, I didn't shave this morning."
"Wow. You shave? I didn't think you had any reason to- Ow!"
Katsuki threw a punch at your shoulder. You almost dropped your cup of coffee. You turned to glare at him but stopped. Another knot formed in your throat when you saw a smile resting on his lips.
It dropped and he rolled his eyes, "Don't mess with me."
"No, of course not… you're a force to be feared." You mumbled, trailing off.
"What's up with you?"
"Mm, nothing."
"You know I hate liars."
You shoved the coffee into his hands. He gave you a look. A questioning look that you ignored while you stood up. You turned back to him, your heart doing that thing where it beated and you wished it would stop.
You gave Katsuki a pathetic smile, "Remember that war you started?"
"Hah?! You mean the war you started?!"
"Yeah, well… I won."
"Eh?!"
You leaned forward. Quickly, you grabbed his face and pulled him so his lips were against yours. He stiffened. He made a confused sound that sounded very close to a grunt. Then, to your surprise he relaxed, rested a hand on your arm and relaxed.
You pulled back. His eyes fluttered open and stared at you. He was silent, as if waiting for you to say something.
You didn't.
You walked away.

I didn't notice people mentioning that AFO probably is blind from birth at all.. cause even before Horikoshi confirmed the colour of his eyes to be white I thought that his eyes seem strange.. very different compared to every other character in MHA.
They look exactly the eyes of someone who is blind because he has no pupils and now we know his eyes are white.. which only strengthen my hypothesis.
AFO is blind and he probably sees world differently. He perceives the world through the lense of his quirk (at first) and later from other people's quirks as well..
I think that he was more sensitive to quirks and I mean that he may be able to sense other people's quirks.
I think that it'd add to AFO's misery. He not only didn't develop neural connections in his brain so he's socially and emotionally impaired but he also perceives world differently due to his blindness.

Like I think everyone saw many redesigns about costumes and such in mha but it hit me how fashion is not used at all in the story.
Think about it in a world where heroes do exist such as powers ...we dont see how costumes are made.
A new industry would bloom asap. Making capes and costumes with fabric that are resistent to fire, water or whatever. Like it could be explorer as a concept.
Hell, AM could be the best model and at the same since he is the hero #1 (propaganda boy) and people follow suit.
Endeavour also uses a good costume made by such industry and request the best of the best and approved...could make a carrer or break it.
Bakugous work with fashion...what if they made clothes for some big name heroes? (Not am or Endeavour but you get me)
It has potential but hori is too busy making Izu's life a hell for no reason.
Hi @mikeellee 👋,
Exactly! I really find it strange how in Hori's world of MHA all other industries and progress (such as science!) stalled with the appearance of quirks.
When really there should have been a MASSIVE boom!
Imagine what someone would have to expand their knowledge to make gear for those with superpowers. Imagine how Doctors training and science would have to advance and expand to accommodate quirks.
Lastly, as you pointed out, imagine how costumes could have been advanced to withstand intense conditions that quirks would give out. This industry should have been HUGE and therefore it's no wonder that the Bakugou's as canonical fashion designers are loaded - but imagine how much more loaded they would be if they designed for heroes? They'd be raking in lots of money.
As would AM, Endeav and the other heroes for their sponsorship deals with various companies I.e
"For clothing that can withstand extreme strength without embarrassing chaffing I must use (insert David Shield's brand name and material he used here.)" This would explain David Shield and how he's so rich on I.Island via his AM connection.
The Yaoyorozu's, The Hatsume's, The Bakugou's could have all designed for hero's costumes or where involved the creation of their gear - hence their accumulation of wealth.
It would have been interesting to see, but Hori doesn't seem to put much effort into MHA's world building... I don't think it interests him which is sad.

Hey, idk if you talked about this, but I’ve been thinking something about the Inko Shimura theory. So far in the series, Izuku’s dad has been kept a secret for suspense purposes, right (cough cough DFO)?? Well, we also never never get to see Nana’s husband either which I found weird cause it is implied that her husband’s is the reason why she gave up Kotaro. I feel like Horikoshi could have totally drawn a panel where Nana finds her dead husband’s corpse. He draws Nana and Kotaro together but never her husband. Since Nana is the one working, her husband would have enough time to hang out with his family but it’s never shown. Could the reason because he has way too many of Inko’s features and Horikoshi doesn’t want the fans to connect the dots?? Sorry it got long
I mentioned nanas husband a few times in the past but never really put to much focus on him in my dfo or inko shimura metas, mostly because we know almost nothing about him (similar how we almost know nothing about hisashi).
While I dont talk much about him, I have my own theorys and just like you said I also think the reason why hori hasnt shown us what he looked like is because he will have some physical resemblance to inko and would readers give the chance to connect the dots way to soon.
If we look at kotaro for example we can see he comes a lot after his mother appearance wise. He pretty much looks like a male version of his mother. An interesting thing in mha is that usually all the characters look a lot like their mothers and only have some few traits of their fathers.
While I DO LIKE the inko shimura theory and believe in it, I have to say I dont think inko and nana have many similaritys even when inko was younger. The only thing they seem to have in common is a similar hair style and all might mentioning that for some reason inko reminds him of nana but cant really explain why (he says maybe its because of the hair but he is unsure). But like you said its still very possible that inko simply comes more after her father the same kotaro comes a lot after his mother.
I have the headcanon if izuku really didnt inherited his freckles from his father (when afo was younger), then he got them from his grandfather from his mothers side. Inkos hair is dark green in the anime (in the manga her hair color is not confirmed but I guess its the same) and her eyes are big and round, her face is round as well so all of that could come from her father. Since we know almost nothing about him its fun to speculate about what he looked like.
We dont know if nanas husband was a hero, stay at home dad or if he had an other job, we only know he was murdered. And while we dont have any confirmation yet, I think its not far fetched to say that he was most likely killed by afo. My personal headcanon is, he made afo believe that he is the current ofa owner to protect his family and to give nana time to flee with kotaro (and inko she was pregnant with at that time) and as soon as afo realized he was tricked he killed nanas husband, also as a warning towards her that the same thing could happen to her child(ren) if she doesnt give him ofa. Thats why she gave kotaro in foster care and why I think she left inko in an orphanage or the hospital (with her scarf, because inko wears an identical looking scarf like nanas at one point) after her birth.
All in all like you said its strange that hori still hasnt shown us nanas husband in at least a tiny flashback moment, despite that his death had apparently such a huge impact on her that she would stop to smile and only startet to do so again when a young all might became a part of her life. So yes I do feel like hori is deffinitetly trying to hide something about nanas husband, the same how he is hiding hisashis identity (which at this point is so damn obvious afo its mind blowing how some people can still deny it!)

cw: implied mha spoilers, trauma
Tumblr media
The prickle of sandalwood and lavender aftershave is shortly followed by a gentle weight, easing on to the empty side of the mattress. Without opening your eyes, you reach for him, arm awkwardly patting the space behind you until the soft give of his chest finds you.
Aizawa places a kiss against the curve of your shoulder, something simple and chaste, a fleeting nothing that only exists in the dark between you. His warmth is a reprise of a love longstanding, a tune sung by sweet nothings and a rhythm bound by only heartbeats. He is a man who cannot tuck his resolve away for the night, someone who left strife guide his hand, but here, under faux-silk sheets and the dark of early morning, he is resigned to weakness and companionship.
Before he can retreat to his side of the bed as he always does, you reach for where you believe his face to be and strike true. The outer skin of your thumb brushes against the indentation his eye patch has left behind and over the weal of scar tissue.
The war changed him. He's your Shouta and someone else. A stranger that you love so desperately and delicately, and a loved one you barely recognize.
He flinches away from the touch. It is a moment too slow to be reflexive; there's thought behind the avoidance a hesitation that makes the space between your ribs ache.
He's never let you see the scars. Not the ones under the bandages, not the ones connected to his prosthetic. They are more than ripped skin; they are rifts between you, chasms that keep him apart even when he's only a breath's width away.
"You shaved."
Aizawa hums in agreement, voice low and gritty with sleep he never gets.
"It's nice." you say, "Smooth."
He doesn't respond, but he doesn't move away either.
"I miss you."
"I know." he sighs so deeply that the mattress moves with him. The smooth, cool polymer of his leg brushes against yours without him knowing. "I'm sorry. I don't want to be like this."
Like this. Broken, barely repaired both inside and out.
"It's okay," you say, even though its not, "I still love you, you know. No matter what."
His weight shifts. You prepare for him to roll away to his edge of the bed, but his hand finds your hip as he settles into sleep behind you, not quite spooning, not quite pulling away. The touch is strange, yet painfully familiar.
It's a sign of good faith. A sign of trying. It's a bridge across the canyon grief craved, one that begs you to keep trying.
"I love you too." the touch says, "No matter what."
Shared sleep is a luxury you both drink in, dreaming of better days past and to come.

Angeli [Dreamer] Info Page
Tumblr media
Name: Angeli
Age: 16 (38)
Gender: Female She/Her
Species: Human/Wind Wolf
Universe: World Name #3457 Timeline #63
Personality: Adventurous, Kind, Secretive, Stubborn, Closed-Off
History: Angeli was an orphan in the Aphaena Empire on a planet similar to Earth, but with mint teal skies and lilac grass, and houses mostly composed of birch, stone, bricks, and numerous flowers and mushrooms. The trees were naturally twisted with small sparks of light drifting idly all over the place. When she was younger, Angeli was one of the many orphans in an orphanage run by mostly Anarchists, Mercenaries, and Vigilantes. She had a father figure known as Jake, who was a human and earth wolf, and the only one she could truly place her trust in when the other kids bullied her for not being another half species. One night, she ran away in a panic, soon returning only to see the entire building burnt down by the royal guards. It was then she finally grew in her ears and tail.
Nine years later, at the age of sixteen, she met a girl named Lily, who was the royal princess of the kingdom but usually liked hanging out with the citizens, also a human with pointy ears. Angeli was soon invited over to the castle and met her other friends; Mackino, a goat wisp and human hybrid, and Nari, another human with pointy ears. After Angeli left and headed back home to her house at the edge of the kingdom, she came across an orb of light in the woods. After catching it, it revealed itself to be a goddess-like being known as Destina, who was hoping that one of the prophesized people would come across her as she had a warning. Creatures known as Dreamons, beings who could manipulate and kill others in their sleep and behaved like a hivemind, were coming to shred the world in eternal darkness.
Not wanting this to happen, Angeli promised that she was going to fix this. Soon enough, Lily Mackino and Nari joined with her, going on a journey to confront the ruler, who resided in a strange dimension. They fought until something happened...
Angeli woke up in an empty grassy field with a bright blue sky and small flowers all around her. She was now outside of her own world with the ability to travel into others. Ever since then she had become the guardian of the multiverse she resided in, soon gaining alternate versions of herself, five of which joined her to form the Main 6, a group whose main goal is to protect the multiverse and learn more about it.
Hobbies: Drawing, Writing, Animation, Programming, Exploring
Powers: Wind Manipulation, Enhanced hearing sight and smell, Multiverse Travel, Immortality
Feats: Managed to take over an entire planet, jumped into the sun and survived, ventured into a black hole for science, has fought off enemies without magic, can recall specific number codes for universes by memory, has held vast knowledge of how the multiverse works and the spaces outside of it known as the Megaverse and Shatterverse, can remember any event in her life after being sent into the multiverse.
Orientation: Panromantic/Demiromantic/Ace
MBTI: INFP
Enneagram: 2
Zodiac: Gemini
Height: 5'9''
Favorite Food/Drink: Pasta (usually Mac-N-Cheese) and Carmel Frappe
World Visit Count: 2,964,801,357,288 unique universes
Alternates count: 5,876,941 unique versions
Some noteworthy ones include: Acolyte (UTAU), Ahana/Wisp (MHA), Nadia (NJ), Star Shade (MLP), Dealla (DSMP), Blue Lace Agate (SU)
Angeli is probably the least controlled out of the Main six, seeing as how she's playfully insane on numerous occasions.
Angeli shows signs of being Bipolar, however she has not been properly diagnosed. Other issues include anxiety issues and depression.
Angeli is very erratic, often talking to herself whenever she's bored. Apparently that irritates the other members since their memories and thoughts are slightly connected, hence sensory overloads are common.
Angeli has very intense mood swings. Since she had never truly learned how to communicate her emotions effectively, she usually keeps them locked off unless a situation relies on her emotions.
Adding onto this, normally she's relatively calm and collected when in reality a raging storm is just being contained in a glass box, waiting to shatter.
Angeli and Estelle often fight for leadership, but surprisingly despite being the starting point, Estelle usually wins.
Compared to the others, Acolyte is too distant and simply doesn't care that much about the group, Amaia is incredibly inexperienced and can get tricked easily, Estellar is too reckless in her missions and often endangers everyone else, and Star is... complicated.
Angeli has met other multiverse travelers besides herself, but she refuses to bond with them. In complete contrast, Estelle will jump to bond with whoever she meets, seeing as life is a lot more worth it when you have incredible adventures with others and bond with them.
Angeli is one of the more fidgety people of the group, often fiddling with her hands and palm gestures, and sometimes twitching her head and looking around sharply. The only one worse than it is Estellar, who is not exactly the most stable as she appears to be
Angeli doesn't have a last name, but she usually prefers the name to be "Dreamer" because it reminds her of the UTAU universe, along with her constant and erratic daydreaming moments
Adding onto this, she doesn't have a middle name. If she wanted one, she probably would've used the name Rabendaa, meaning lilac in japanese
Out of every world culture, Japan and many different medias in Japanese are her particular favorites
Despite being a huge fan of Vocaloid, Angeli's favorite songs are a blend of Pop and Rock. Her particularly favorite songs are "Undefeatable", "His World", and "Welcome Home"

BnHA Ch.362 - Review, parallels & comparisons: “You’ve got to lose to know how to win” edition
This chapter deals some serious emotional damage, not just because it’s a fan favorite character dying, but because it’s a death that lacks narrative context (for now). In a series that asks “what is a hero?” and whether sacrifice and legacy are worthwhile, this chapter is devoid of answers.
What we do know is that Katsuki made a conscious choice. This wasn’t like the war, where his body moved without thinking to protect his friend. It’s not a semi-automatic “I start running my mouth a bit when I fight, whoops.” Yes, Katsuki imitates Izuku here, but it’s incorrect to say Katsuki’s imitation of Izuku “got him killed.” Katsuki chose to go on an all-out attack “no matter what happens to me.” He knew he wasn’t making it out. Katsuki had a controlled “spirit” even if his body was pushed beyond its limits, or at least it seemed that way.
Tumblr media
So here’s the key dilemma: Did Katsuki make the RIGHT choice?
Katsuki always chooses correctly when it comes to winning, right? So this was a choice that must be worth it, right???? That’s the answer we don’t have, and we won’t have for a while, depending on where Horikoshi decides to go.
Is this an “Aizawa fighting at USJ” moment where Aizawa knew he was outmatched but chose to jump in anyway because he had the best shot of anyone there to save the kids? He told the kids not to worry, no good hero is a one trick pony, but Shigaraki quickly figured out his limits and kicked his ass. Aizawa was never going to win, but his sacrifice bought time for All Might to arrive. To make another comparison, is this the Avengers Endgame moment where Dr. Strange holds up a single finger to Tony Stark to indicate THIS is the 1 in 14 million chance they can win? (Except in this MHA parallel, Dr. Strange is Katsuki's brain and Tony Stark is Katsuki’s body). In both situations, our beloved hero HAD to set their well being aside to win and save; there was simply no other way. But is that what Katsuki did here?
Tumblr media
Or is this an All Might-style unnecessarily sacrificial moment, where Katsuki took on the world when he didn’t have to? Where his decision to be like Izuku went too far because this WASN’T the 1 in 14 million chance to win? Where maybe running and regrouping, instead of taking the fight to AFO!Shig’s face (the same mistake he made against All Might in the exams), would have kept him alive? It doesn’t seem like Katsuki landed any major damage on AFO!Shig, certainly not like how Mirio did in the last 2 chapters by triggering memories of Tenko’s friends.
The question of whether Katsuki made the right choice hangs heavy over everything now. For example, I don’t know how to interpret this panel yet:
Tumblr media
On the one hand, there are so many heroes a split second behind Katsuki. He could have worked WITH them. Look at how damn hard they try to save, eyes and quirks locked on Katsuki. On the other hand, the remaining heroes clearly can’t keep up with Katsuki and AFO!Shig. They’re tragically not in the same league, and perhaps Katsuki knew it. Perhaps Katsuki knew the path to a win required a sacrifice and some OFA magic. We don’t know what it means that he’s seeing Aura Might. Maybe there was a switch, and Katsuki’s vestige is with Izuku in OFA and Aura Might is in Katsuki’s body, waiting to be taken into AFO. Perhaps Katsuki is connecting with his inner heroic fire as represented by Aura Might to be “freed from the shackles of humanity” to create a “transcendent being” on the hero side.
Tumblr media
Perhaps this is the last temptation of Katsuki. He could choose to go plus ultra and attempt a win with the risk of destroying himself from the inside, or he could choose to pull back and not do his absolute best, risking the win and his teammates. The alternative — that Katsuki simply made the wrong choice and lost in a burst of meaningless bloodshed — feels painfully out of place. That can’t be it.
Katsuki made his choice for a reason we don’t know and won’t know for some time. We have to wait for any inkling of whether his sacrifice will stand as truly “heroic” and worthy of surpassing All Might. But ultimately I think it will. Even if his body is “dead,” we know Katsuki ain’t resting. His vestige is out there doing SOMETHING to secure a win using only Katsuki’s heroic spirit, without his physical body or his quirk getting in the way. There might be more to this transcendent thing than it seems.
I think, in true Buddhist fashion, Katsuki had to lose his attachment to his body and his quirk in order to fully overcome the “stuff he was going through” — meaning his inferiority/superiority complex stemming from the development of his “stupid awesome” quirk at age 4 and subsequent nonstop praise from every human in his orbit. Katsuki had to lose all of his physicality to realize (1) he only needed his “indomitable spirit” to triumph like All Might; and (2) all he really wants is to run alongside Izuku as worthy of All Might’s legacy (ironically, just as All Might wants to “crawl through mud” to “catch up” with them).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This chapter, it’s both Katsuki AND Tamaki who found themselves admitting how they were “crushed under the weight of wealth.”

Reading stories with a oblivious reader will never not be fun for me. LOOK there is just something so nice and strangely heavy? To readers in fanfics after they have connected the dots and found out they are borderline dating a pro- every time they have spoken or been alone together has to be re-analyzed. Why? CAUSE OMG THERE WAS A PROHERO IN YOUR HOME???? WTF
Like I think izuku would be the easiest to mistake for an average joe-everyone in the Mha world is different and unique- and after he goes pro obvi ppl like copying their number 1 hero. It would be so easy to just meet izuku out in a clothing store I think, maybe you both happen to find that ✨one✨ limited edition hero clothing item and you just start gushing abt the hero it’s based off of, and he’s info dumping (and you are creeping closer to the item and just, Yoink- bye bitch) and like fight me on this-he WOULD most def try to buy it off you-at this point your looking at the money and your like 😧 bestie just take it. And maybe after you guys wanna continue your convo-cause you both are hero nerds-so you keep meeting up and when you find out-hold the freak up that’s DeKu?! Your excuse is “yes I hyperfixate on hero’s sometimes but deku just didn’t catch my attention he’s kinda lame 🤷🏽‍♀️” like yes he did bestie you almost made out with him last Tuesday 💀
Bakugou would have a slightly more difficult time- entirely his fault tho cause ain’t no way youre gunna ✨not✨ know that’s bakugou if he’s yelling in a store with every swear under the sun okay? Speaking of stores- I think you could meet him at one🖐🏽 it’s cute and domestic shut up. I think maybe you guys live near each other and he’s always pretty good of keeping on the low; after seeing you shop for a sec it’s obvi you don’t know what you’re doing- he’s damn is this pity? He’s noticed you like to cook? Maybe, but all your ingredients are shit. He will most def say something like “ that brand sucks get this” and just dumps like a whole basket of things in your cart🙂- and your like damn stranger you cute and so sure of yourself so I guess I will try this- and surprise surprise this dish is def not garbage anymore. This goes on for a sec eventually u invite him over to try a dish and obvi he’s not gunna be all covered up and low key AKA you have the oh shit moment- that’s pro hero Dynamite.
Shouto would be the most difficult-besides his distinct appearance something about him is just slightly off? Like this guy deff has the vibes of 10$ for one banana is normal-it’s just the rich boy vibes are too potent😭 I don’t think there’s anyway ANYONE could come across shouto and not know it’s him. So this is how it’s gunna go you’re taking your daily little commute past a park on your way to work right? Well today you have noticed that the man who always sits at the same bench always reading has left his book-you, the Good Samaritan decide to return it the next day. You do and what do you realize omg it’s pro hero shouto-but he looks like a deer in the head lights as you approach- he clearly looks like he’s trying to blend in (even though bi-colored hair is poking out of his hat and the sunglasses barley cover his poor job at concealer on that scar) so you pretend for his sake-instead you just hand him his book back as casually as possible and maybe your a fan of it so you kinda go on a little info dump and as this happens he relaxes -mission accomplished- except he forgets his book the next day and the day after and the day after that and after that and after that eventually you guys have grown super close and you two find yourselves alone one day and he comes clean “I can’t build this relationship on lies” so dramatic and he ‘reveals’ himself and you’re like “omg omg it’s prohero shouto I can’t believe it” 🤓 would you ever tell him you knew all along or would you spare his feelings?

Mha fic idea #34
Alright, another fic idea but this time.... Bkdk angst. 🧡💚
Amnesia Quirk!With a Twist!
You've been warned.
At the height of their prohero careers, Izuku is hit with an amnesia quirk. Only, he seems to have lost just the memories connected to his husband Bakugou Katsuki. It might be a bit awkward, but can still work and live his life for the month it'll take for the memories to come back.
And they do.
His first memory, it comes back the same day he'd been hit.
Their first date. An amusement park with crepes and smiles and holding hands-
And as the days pass, more and more memories replace the blank space in his mind. Of all of the good times they've had together. Memories of their wedding, their anniversaries, birthdays, fun times, winning a good battle, childhood memories that mysteriously cut off...
An apology.
It lacks context, but these memories make his heart sing. Izuku couldn't stop himself from forming a crush on the blonde even if he tried. These feelings are even further reinforced by the frequently retrieved memories. He spouts praises in a way that feels familiar and his heart blossoms with delight over how perfect they are together.
Izuku's constantly showing his affection and appreciation, but as the month continues Bakugou starts to act strangely. Bakugou is careful to disengage from the warm hugs and flirty smiles, reminding Izuku that "things weren't always like this" and shying away from Izuku's approval that "He's not perfect, he's made mistakes."
This does not deter Izuku. He's head over heels for this man and every new memory he just sinks even deeper...
That is.
Until the good memories run out.
There's a little less than a week to go when one arrives. It's not too bad, maybe a bit confusing, but Izuku doesnt mind it.
But they keep coming. Pieces to some of the other memories that leave some of them a bit more bittersweet. Memories where Kacchan's harshness was less funny, more frustrating. And then scary.
Izuku is shattered. Their romance had seemed so wonderful and easy, almost like a dream, and he's losing it with every new memory gained. They feel tainted, nothing about them seems real; Like there's some kind of caveat to every whispered promise.
He's frustrated with himself, confused and upset and not understanding why these memories were hidden from him to save so much heartache til the end and it just keeps getting worse.
Kacchan had warned him, but he couldn't have known it would hurt so much.
There aren't any good memories left. Nothing to soothe this ache- the betrayl- and he can't help looking at their relationship differently the closer they get to the worst of their fights and arguments. Things that even Katsuki knows he can't explain...
Sidenote here:
I've noticed in amnesia!quirk fics that when it comes to the angsty memories between bkdk, like their middle school experience, there are usually still some good memories to soothe the amnesiac to remember and return to their partner.
This is probably since most of the memories are returned
A. Chronologically
B. Randomly, as plot dictates
C. All at once
These types of fics are great, don't get me wrong! I eat it up. Amnesia fics are great for angst fodder.
I'd just love to see if anyone else had this thought of the memories coming back based on progression of Good ones to Bad ones (to Worse ones). I like that there is no redemption from the quirk. It rearranges the perception of the person it affects in such an awful way.
Bkdk would seriously have their work cut out for them at the end of the month.

so i was watching mha earlier (i’m 🤏🏻 close to making a script but that’s different) and i made a connection to shifting with one of the scenes
i’m at the part where black whip first manifested in izuku and he’s just figuring out how to use it. and a lot of the stuff he was saying could be interpreted to be about shifting
when he first used it, he saw it as this really powerful, strange, unknown thing that almost scared him. much like when we discovered shifting for the first time, it was so amazing to think about but just as scary with all of the unknowns that came along with it
and when izu realized that he currently wasn’t strong enough for his body to handle the strength of black whip, he told himself that this ability is not something that he can use now, but later. which caused him to pretty much not be able to use it at all unless he really really focused
he told himself that this wasn’t something he could do, affirming that he was not ready to use the power.
when you tell yourself that you can’t shift or that you aren’t in the right mindset to shift or wtv, you won’t shift. bc you’re affirming and believing that you are unable to shift no matter what excuses you give yourself. kinda like how he put a lock on the power, you put a lock on your progress.
mindset is a really really powerful thing!!!
when he received one for all from all might, black whip and the other powers that he has were all there from the beginning.
just because you haven’t fully come to terms with an ability you’ve had forever, doesn’t mean that it’s a completely foreign thing. you are able to shift because you are you. because you exist. because you are.
shifting is something you’ve been capable of. since you were born. it isn’t new, it’s your birthright. so shift. because you can.
obvi this isn’t a perfect metaphor to use bc of all the other contingencies of izu not being able to use his abilities to the fullest, BUT WTV
HOPEFULLY THIS MADE SENSE????? IDK WRITING IT OUT IS DIFFERENT FROM MAKING THE CONNECTION IN MY HEAD

Hello, Itaanon here. In my italian Disneyplus account, serching his name, I see 4 titles as well, but different. Multiverse of madness, Doctor Strange 1, making of doctor strange, and a cartoon "hulk where the monsters dwell". Mha... I dunno! :/
Well, something is going on with DisneyPlus. It makes no sense that a billion dollar company would have so many glitches on their streaming site. And the removal of a James Cameron-connected project makes no sense.

What would you do with the MLA if you wrote MHA? Both the present iteration shown in canon and the original iteration that a lot of people headcanon as having a point.
While the MLA are correct that Japan's Quirk restrictions are too strict, they're aiming for no restrictions at all and have people like Geten running around which means that the point they have is incidental to their actual goals of Quirk supremacy.
The original MLA had a point because Japan was clearly over-correcting in response to an unknown problem, and society was collapsing to the point that a mob murdered his mother because she didn't want them to kill her young son.
If I was rewriting My Hero Academia, I'd have the MLA work very differently than other Villain organizations, operating in the shadows with their connections, with Heroes investigating strange or suspicious involvement, almost like a superhero conspiracy thriller.
