He’s trying, he really is. Because the last thing he played before he died were Game Boys and then he awoken to Wii Games, Nintendo Switches and whatever the fuck those online games are.

Those sus game ads he clicked randomly made him question what happened when he was still dead-

Jason thinks it’s pretty cool you stream gaming content and all, although don’t ask him to play any RPG with you because he’ll rage quit. He will go insane.

Jason keeps insisting on wanting to join your streams in Among Us but like come on- WE ALL KNOW HE’S GONNA START RAGING MORE-

When he gets killed, he calls the imposter a “Joker” 💀 Sometimes you have to calm him down and tell him it’s their role as imposter to do this. Also, when he gets imposter, he’ll kill everyone except you. Like he’s your bodyguard or something and everyone’s out to get you. You don’t even need to be imposter. If you did kill him before, he’ll kill you back though-

He’s okay if you let him play Minecraft together though, he finds it peaceful (on creative mode).

Listens to your songs on repeat while he’s repairing vehicles or hear it live on your stream when he’s reading. Wholesome supportive boyfriend stuff. <3

Tim Drake

Immediately follows all forms of social media you have, and give subs to every time you go live and stream. No hesitation.

He thinks it’s cool you stream games and all, something he wished to do but just doesn’t have much time to do so, and that he has no idea how to start up a fanbase anyways so-

Tim would join your streams every once in a while to play with you and he doesn’t mind any sort of games, he’s pretty good with the controller… well, maybe RPG. Because if he’s doing a multiplayer game like with Genshin needing to join servers and all, most of the time, people wouldn’t listen to his plans and end up dying and then he goes berserk. Only you listen s/o… wHY?? WHY DOES NOBODY LISTEN TO HIS STRATS????

Also, cat ears headphones?? He has one and he looks so cute in it and would ask if you want one too- he only wears those headphones in private though, or in front of you.

Anyways, Tim loves your singing too! Would listen it live or hear it on Spotify if it’s available. If you sing covers, it’s gonna ruin him. He can’t listen to the original track anymore because it’s just not the same-

The qsmp being investigated by the French government for labour laws infringement was not on my 2024 bingo card

Currently I don't believe it's the French Government, currently it's the Solidaires french labor union, but shockingly they have actually apparently gone after minecraft servers before for poor labor practices and taken them to court, although my limited searching hasn't resulted in the outcome of that case. I don't want to talk too much about the qsmp because it's not my business, but legit there's a huge amount of exploitation in youtube spaces that is probably illegal but gets brushed over. Creators are so often removed from it to the point of plausible deniability so it never really gets addressed properly. You see it with merch companies delivering awful quality products, having huge wait times and massive delays, missing people, not staying in contact, mistreating employees, scamming fanartists and underpaying them (look into youtoonz for some of that stuff), etc.

It's part of why I respect Dream so much for building out his own merch company and not going with one of the crappy ones. I love ordering merch from his company because I know I'm going to get what I paid for, it's going to be comfortable as fuck, and if there's any issues the company goes out of it's way to make things right. That sort of company set up takes time and a lot of care and effort to build. When you just half ass it, and don't supervise or actually run your own company, that's how you end up breaking a shit ton of labor laws, exploiting a number of people (at least some of which may be teenagers), and potentially end up getting sued.

I honestly do hope Quackity gets taken to court over this not out of any malice, but because these sorts of creator practices can't be allowed to continue. Creators at his size and scale are getting millions and millions of dollars and they can't be operating like a twitch channel with 20 viewers. If cases get brought to court, even if they aren't won, it will scare a lot of creators off from doing labor exploitation and push them do things more like Dream, where people are paid properly and fans aren't end up getting shafted at every turn.

so i think i have finally put into words why it is always so funny when a court case happens in minecraft, and it’s because court is possibly the most boring thing in the world like 90% of the time. in real life a case like jimmy and joel’s would be like... one of many on the docket in a small claims court everyone is exhausted maybe the briefs would get some coverage on like, “funny law stuff” websites. like. my dad is a lawyer. one of my early memories of “what my dad does for work” was him at home looking at pictures of dirt that he was going to use as evidence in court (because someone had been building with the wrong kind of dirt and they were suing about it). i cannot express enough how fucking boring a court of law usually is, let alone a copyright case in a small claims court.

naturally this makes ‘getting sued’ one of the FUNNIEST THINGS POSSIBLE to do in minecraft, because things that are extremely mundanely boring become HYSTERICAL in a fantasy madcap roleplay set in minecraft. it’s like. what’s next. is jimmy going to establish the minecraft dmv,

Weird Mario Enemies presents

The Mystery of the Cabin Proprietor

It was a cold winter's day. Super Mario had found himself atop a frigid mountain, nothing but the abyss surrounding it. Right before him, a cabin. A convenient respite from the cold. How lucky! If Mario were to knock on the door, surely he would be invited inside to warm up for a bit. Maybe he would even be offered some tea! Wouldn't that be nice?

But there is no door! There are not even any windows! The only access point is an oversized Minecraft-looking chimney, and a sign from a supposed "Cabin Proprietor" invites visitors to enter it. Suspicious! Scary! What if you fall further than you expect, and get hurt? What if the fireplace is lit? Yeowch! And if you do get inside, there's no telling what waits within... there could be a murderer, a monster, inviting victims into this shack with no escape! There are many ways in which one should be like Mario, but entering suspicious buildings like this is not one of them!

So what's the big idea? Who is this "Cabin Proprietor", and what are their motives? Let's go over the suspects...

The Big Penguin

This is PROBABLY the most likely answer. Big Penguin is the only creature ever found within the cabin, and addresses Mario as a friend. Big Penguin loves to slide, and wouldn't you know it, the cabin leads directly to a massive slide in the void! For all we know, Big Penguin could have previously invited Mario to this cabin for some fun! We wouldn't know. Mario is not obligated to tell us anything! What are you gonna do, check Mario's emails? Give him his privacy. My only concern with the Big Penguin theory is that I don't think a penguin would have much success acrobatically getting into the chimney in the first place. A door would be much more convenient for everyone, but especially a penguin!

Mother Penguin

Now THIS is a penguin with immediate access to the cabin's only door, at the base of the mountain! A door too small for her, but a door nonetheless. Mother Penguin is stationed right by the cabin's exit, so maybe she is associated with it! This part of the cabin could be some sort of nursery area for baby penguins, who COULD fit through the door, with a window to check on them when needed. Such a doting mother would surely love to have a place for her baby to be safe in a blizzard!

A Baby Penguin

Maybe we have a child prodigy on Cool, Cool Mountain! The first of the babies is Tuxie, THE Li'l Penguin Lost, who is found at the top of the mountain... right by the entrance to the cabin! Hmmm! Maybe she hops in the chimney, slides down, and uses that weird teleportation spot to get back up! The other baby penguin is found at the bottom of the mountain, but of course could also teleport to the top to get in the chimney, and there is also something important about this baby: it's an impostor! Not the baby you're looking for! That makes this baby Suspicious, just like the Cabin Proprietor. Veeery interesting...

The Headless Snowman

There is absolutely no way this guy could get into the cabin. But that does not mean he could not be the proprietor! We already know he has some Personal Infrastructure, with the weird "stages" his parts sit atop, so he clearly has some way to get stuff built. Carpentry connections of some sort. Perhaps he commissioned the cabin to be built so that others could have a warm place to go, and a fun slide! He just forgot the door on the top entrance, so he added that sign about Santa to add whimsy to the situation until it could be sorted out.

A Goomba

There are no Goombas in Cool, Cool Mountain, outside of the DS version, so prooobably not... But!!! Odyssey reveals the unique property of Goomba feet, that they retain traction even on icy surfaces! Goombas could, theoretically, walk all over the cabin's ice slide as they please. They sure would get a lot of use out of the space, more efficient than just sliding!

The sign itself

Has the answer been under Mario's bulbous, jiggly nose this whole time? Super Mario Galaxy shows us that some signs are alive, and talk to us! The sign from the Proprietor could BE the Proprietor, and be talking to us, rather than just displaying its text. We just don't know because of how 64 presents written text and dialogue in the same way. (EDIT: I learned I was literally just wrong about this and it should have been obvious because the text boxes are different colors. But we can say that the sign speaks in a Written Text Accent) Or maybe it's sleeping, and Mario is reading the text to not disturb it?

The Cap'n

The Cap'n is the other unseen character who we know authors signs in 64! But I think he is easy to write off here. He's too much of a scallywag to be the Cabin Proprietor, who at least puts on a facade of kindness, inviting anyone into the cabin. The Cap'n taunts anyone who seeks his treasure, and also writes in Pirate Speak, so it would be physically impossible for him to write in any other voice!

Santa Claus

And here we are. The final suspect. It's been so obvious, hasn't it? "Santa Claus isn't the only one who can go down a chimney", indeed, but he is the only one I can think of with the ability to magically go UP a chimney to exit the building! Santa is also absolutely the type to refer to himself in third person, so the grammar of the sign wouldn't be weird coming from him. Perhaps Santa built this cabin for himself initially, but quickly made it a public play area once others expressed an interest in it! Thank you, Santa!

Ross Lore Part 1

Separate posts + long doc won in the end, so we’re doing it like this

This comes from the video A Parkour Map Designed to Make Us RAGE!!!, posted on August 2, 2020. While this isn't the first time that Max and Ross' characters have been given lore (the Overalls v. Jorts court case preceded this), this appears to be the first time that the running gag of "Ross Lore" was mentioned by name. Below are summaries of the notable pieces of Ross Lore mentioned:

Qbert’s bro, Burt is a sponge block given to Max and Ross at the beginning of the level. Partway through the video Ross locks himself in a shelter of wooden planks to get out of doing the parkour. He places Bert down and Max breaks him, leading to the creation of Sponge. Sponge is a Minecraft sponge block and Ross’ good buddy that he hasn’t seen in weeks. He brought the blue punch that tasted green to Max’s birthday.

Ross likes to use a dagger in combat.

Ross burnt down an orphanage to stop what he calls the moon people. Max claims that he burnt down the wrong orphanage, but Ross says that he did it first to prevent the moon people from doing it and caused them to leave as a result. According to Max the other orphanage was their target and the reason they left was because they accomplished their goal, thus making Ross’ arson pointless

Ross took a group of elderly people camping and returned with 4 more elderly folks at the end. They went into the woods as a group of 6 and came back as a group of 14.

Ross taught a group of kids how to swim in shark infested waters. He refuses to elaborate on it.

Ross invented toothpicks (patent and everything) and sued another guy who claimed to have invented toothpicks.

Ross invented being pregnant.

Ross was bullied on the playground by school kids.

Ross crashed a wedding and ended up marrying the father.

Ross’ left eye is glass.

Ross opened a refrigerator store for 2 months. During that time he only sold 1 fridge and went bankrupt, then faked his death in a freak refrigerator accident in Milwaukee. Ross is the moniker he took after faking his death, though he refuses to share his original name.

Ross took 7 people and a parrot to prom.

Ross dug a huge hole at the beach and buried 4 kids. They were attempting to build a tunnel system underneath a sandcastle and it caved in. Ross himself almost got buried but managed to dig his way out. Whether the kids died or not is never elaborated on.

Ross opened a motel for dogs after watching the movie Hotel.

Ross got caught in a ladder. As a result he still has 19 years of bad luck to go and a prosthetic foot.

At the age of 14, Ross had to get his 7th and 6th fingers removed on his right hand. Max remembers it as his left, and Ross reminds him that that was his foot.

Ross had to get the extra toes on his left foot removed, which he keeps in a jar.

Ross soul bonded to Van Gogh and tried to cut off his own ear, but the safety scissors didn’t work. Max says that they did work and he passed out, though his ear was presumably sewn back on.

Ross sunk a ship in the parking lot, apparently in an attempt to test the boat. Ross said that it was hard to get it into the pavement. An unnamed “he” got really mad at this.

Ross threw up at the movie theater and at a funeral. They don’t talk about the funeral incident.

Growing up, Ross told his guidance counselor that he wanted to be an astronaut pirate and ended up becoming one somehow. The guidance counselor died at some point, and this funeral may be related to the other funeral incident.

Ross beat the sun in a staring contest. It is partially the reason why he has a glass eye

The other reason is the time he helped invent peanut butter.

Ross is the hero of Pennsylvania. He says to check the history books.

Ross named McDonalds. The founder originally wanted to go with “Wacky Floppy Burger Buns”, but Ross told him to call it McDonalds.

Ross volunteered at the retirement home and beat some ladies at bingo.

There was another incident involving old ladies in which they were running an illegal knitting business and “Professor Ross had to teach them a lesson”. They apparently threw the first punch and threw knitting needles at him so Ross pulled out his katana and beat them up.

The censor duck that bleeps out curse words in Max’s videos does it as a paid job and needs the money to turn the heating bill on. He also needs to pay back his bail to Ross in order to see his ducklings again.

A few days later I woke up at 11:24 AM to a DM from Tommy demanding my phone number. I groaned but sent it anyway. I mean, he probably won’t dox me and I figure if he wants to bother me, let him. I mean, I got to talk to one of my favorite streamers because of him and him showing me on stream had gotten my follower count crazy high on all my socials, the least I can let him do in repayment is send me insults at 4 AM.

I pulled on my P!ATD shirt and some shorts before making my hair presentable and booting up my computer. I started a stream entitled “Among Us W/ Tommyinnit and Co.” and said hi to my Chat as I joined the discord Tommy had sent me and used the code to join the game which included Tommy, Tubbo, Wilbur, Dream, Gogy, SnapMap, Fundy, Karl, and Quackity.

“Good, the woman has finally showed up.” Tommy said.

“Bitch, you act like I’m late, you told me about this literally three minutes ago.” I replied flatly. Everyone in the call laughed and ‘Owch’ed at that.

“So you didn’t need me to defend you yesterday, dang Nyxie!” Wilber said.

“It looks like we have a new child Among Us. Get it cause we’re playing Among Us?” Said Karl. I giggled at his terrible pun even though no one else did.

“Hi, Nikesonima7!” I heard Tubbo say brightly.

“It’s Nyx-somnia, idiot.” Tommy said.

“TOMMY!” Wilbur and I admonished in unison. Tommy proceeded to make defensive noises while Tubbo chuckled at us.

“Sorry for saying your name wrong, Nyxsomnia.” Tubbo said, carefully pronouncing my username.

“It’s all good Tubbo. I’ve seen enough of your videos and streams to know you can’t read sometimes.” I replied.

“OH YEAH! THIS ONE SIMPS FOR YOU, TUBBO!” Tommy cackled.

“I do not!” I whined and pouted to my camera. Chat started yelling at him.

“Children stop yelling or we’ll find someone else to play with instead of you guys!” Dream threatened.

“Fuck you, green man.” Tommy said. Dream scoffed but started the match.

I was a crewmate and did my tasks like a good space bean (I managed to do admin card on my third try. Chat was proud of me.) until I was MURDERED. IN COLD BLOOD. BY HECCING DREAM. IN STORAGE. Chat listened to me screech for a few seconds before I laughed it off and continued my tasks for the twelve seconds it took for Tubbo to find my lifeless little pink corpse and report it.

“Not cool, man. Who killed the poor new girl?” Asked Dream as the meeting began. I rolled my eyes playfully and my chat continued to yell about me being the only and first kill of the round. 

“Not me, I invited the woman. And I was with Tubbo in storage. Ya know this game is the one time I’m glad you’re so clingy, Tubbo.” Tommy said quickly.

“Huh?” Tubbo asked. I had seen him stream Among Us before so I knew he had been mildly zoned out trying to process what was happening.

“Where even was the body?” Quackity asked, trying to actually focus on the game for a second. They did the whole Among Us thing of heated discussions before just calling Big Q sus and yeeting him off the ship. I finished my tasks and decided to haunt Tubbo and Tommy in time to see Tommy stab Tubbo just as the lights went out. We had both finished our tasks so Tubbo and I hung out in ghost chat for the entire rest of the round.

Dream and Tommy won the round and we kept playing for a few hours. I never got to be Imposter, which I was kinda happy about since I sucked at being a murder bean. Everyone left but Tubbo, Tommy, and me.

“What are you two up to?” Tommy asked suspiciously, having heard me telling Tubbo I was giving him access to my world.

“Nyx said she made a build inspired by me once and is gonna show me!” Tubbo said happily.

“What? I need to see this crap too.” Tommy replied.

“Someone jealous that I made something for Tubbo and not him?” I teased as I also gave Tommy a way of accessing it.

“As if.” Tommy replied as I smirked at him. Chat was shouting “DEFO FLERTING” at us as the three of us loaded into the world. I lead the two boys over to the bee mansion I’d built.

“Whoa! This is awesome!” Tubbo said as he saw the towering walls of honeycomb supported by dark oak trees I had custom built with stained glass windows showing flowers and bees. The mansion was in the middle of a dark oak forest, which I had filled with beehives and flowers to make it more ambient and welcoming. 

“You like it?” I asked.

“Like it? It looks so pretty! I’d ask if I could build something like it on the Dream SMP if I thought I could actually do it and didn’t think it’d be completely destroyed at some point.” Tubbo said.

“I’m glad you like it. Wanna see the inside?” I asked. His avatar nodded violently and I heard Tommy scoffing at us and muttering “simps” under his breath as I showed him how I had decorated the many rooms. Tommy had to get off because his mom wanted him to do some chores before dinner. I was getting tired of keeping my stream going and Tubbo had already ended his, so I said goodbye to my chat and was surprised I had enough to raid again so I sent them Sykkuno’s way. “Did you actually mean it when you said that thing about liking my build so much you’d wanna borrow it or was that just for stream?” I asked Tubbo hesitantly.

“Of course I meant it! It’s beautiful, Nyx. A hundred times better than what I can do at least.” Tubbo replied.

“Thanks, Tubbo. Oh, my real name is Megan by the way if you don’t feel like calling me Nyx off-stream.” 

“I’m Toby. So you think it feels a little weird too when fans call you by your real name?” 

“Yeah, I’ll probably get over it eventually but for now it’s weird.”

“This might sound kinda weird, but could I have your number?” 

“Sure, Toby. I’ll just type it in chat.”

After twenty minutes of us just talking and hanging out Toby hung up because he had to go to bed since he’s five hours ahead of me. I took a moment to process what had happened to me just now. I not only got to talk to most of my favorite streamers in the world, but I also came out of that day with Tubbo’s number and his friendship. Now that’s a good day.

11 - favourite hermit to listen to?

to listen to as in like uhh my favourite voice?? is that what this means?

Ig i don't really have a preference, I haven't really thought about it that hard? But I do like to take a daily dosage of bdubs and tango noises. They are like creatures to me.

I do also like Doc and Keralis' accents very much. I swear I don't mean this in a sus way but idk something about their accents is rlly satisfying to listen to. He's not a hermit but the same goes for scott. I rlly wanna see them all in a room together.
