You have no idea how FREEING it is to be a stereotypical bitchy feminist.

Yes I think women are underpaid for the same positions men get. Yes I think all menstrual products should be free. Women should be allowed to be topless in public. Yes I think sex work should be legalized and that prostitutes and strippers should unionize. Yes I think maternity leave should be paid.

Yes I think incels are not owed kindness from the women they want to rape and murder. Andrew Tate should be beaten to death with a stick. Yes I think trans women are owed more respect than "girldick hot"

Men should be able to do basic house chores without a woman present. Fathers should have active roles in childcare. Women, including trans women, are not required to shave, wear makeup, or anything else to appease men or anyone else who thinks they are only worthy of human respect when they're attractive.

so if you don't keep up with the news in Britain, I'll fill you in.

yesterday, Brianna Ghey was murdered in her hometown of Warrington. She was only 16. She was also trans, which considering what I'm going to discuss in this post, is relevant.

However, not even a single day after her death, the GC ('gender critical' for those who aren't in the know) crowd have wasted no time in disrespecting her memory, by repeatedly misgendering her and deadnaming her.

here are just a few examples from the comments of this post by Nadia Whittome MP (fair warning, these responses are pretty fucking vile to say the least):

This is what 'gender critical', or TERF, ideology inevitably leads to. Not only has a young trans person been murdered in cold blood, but hateful assholes like these lot are going out of their way to disrespect her, even in death.

and as one final insult to her memory, the british state do not allow anyone under the age of 18 to legally change their marker regarding gender on any official documents, so in addition to the disrespect on social media, the UK government is facilitating her being misgendered on official documents in death.

rest in peace, Brianna Ghey, you deserved so much better than this.

Random list of things I really dislike about swerfs because I have been getting a lot of swerf content on my social media’s recently.

They disregard and talk down on survival sex workers and if a sex worker enjoys their work they talk about them like they are the scum of the earth

Rather than targeting the porn industry as a whole and finding ways to reform/dismantle it to put the power in porn workers hands they just talk about how disgusted they are by people who do porn

They act as though men cannot be victims of sexual violence or they act as though sexual violence against men is not as important of a problem as acts against women

They use victims stories to push a cause rather than to educate others and uplift the victims

They preach that sex should be about womens pleasure just as much as it is about mens pleasure but when women express any sort of sexual desires that go outside of vanilla sex they talk to them like they’re idiots for wanting that and are incapable of consent because according to some swerfs women who want anything more than missionary have been ‘brainwashed’

They often ignore gay, lesbian and polyamorus relationships(anything outside the heteronormative view of relationships) in their talks and ignore the difference in dynamics these relationships have compared to hetero monogamous relationships

They ignore the racism, transphobia and homophobia that is linked to the sex industry and they ignore how a lot of what they say excludes women of colour from their community

They act as though women are incapable of holding any power in their sex lives

They forget that a lot of peoples livelihoods depend on sex work and its not as simple as ‘ban sex work’ to fix all the issues

They refuse to acknowledge that the decriminalisation and destigmatisation of sex work would greatly improve things (like victims being able to come forward without fear of arrest or judgment and healthier safer environments and regulations for workers like with other legal jobs)

Capitalism is part of the problem, and they do not acknowledge this and when they do it’s a simple “capitalism bad” and nothing more they stop the conversation before it can really begin

They say that the way someones dresses is not a reason to degrade/insult someone but they degrade/insult women who wear make up. Again their belief that women have autonomy coming back because according to swerfs women can’t just wear make up because they like it they must be doing it to impress a man.

Feminism that does not include all women is not feminism.

Feminism that does not include all genders and people is not feminism.

Feminism is about equality for all not about grasping power for yourself.

Sex Work Exclusionary Feminists are not feminists.

They are just punching down on an oppressed and vulnerable group of women to uplift themselves.
