+ kang seo min ; more fun facts !
to see his official post, click here!
Tumblr media
+ he claims to have a spirit attached to him! (that is quite a story; click here to take a look at it!)
+ seomin has three pretty severe food allergies: malt, coconuts, and coffee beans. he's so severely allergic to malt in particular that it's pretty much deathly. he said once on eric nam's daebak show that he's been to the hospital three times because someone near him ate it and didn't wash their dishes.
+ seomin is the only member of his group that has any of these allergies, so, especially because of the malt allergy, there's a rule in the nct dorms that says that whenever someone eats or cooks with malt, coconut or coffee beans, that person has to wash every dish that item touches themselves.
+ he has a half-brother who was born in greece! his brother is only half-related to him, however; he and the other boy have different mothers.
+ minn says that some of his idol-mates at sm pick light fun at him sometimes because of his height, and he always gets really mad about it and ends up picking on them right back!
+ seomin really likes to travel, and he's gotten a lot of rewards because of it! because he travels so much, he has four different driver's licenses to his name, and he's been pretty good about keeping them valid, too! he's got one in england, south korea, the united states, and greece, where he lived for a while in his early childhood.
+ he has a reason for hating green apples... but he won't tell us what it is. his groupmate jisung always picks on him for it, and minn actually jumped over four other nct members and pounced on jisung once, during an interview, because the other idol almost spilled the beans.
+ seomin is apparently legally related to a top studio wildcard employee! he loves their game ark: survival evolved. he has the mobile edition of the game, and because of his relations with the employee, he got all the maps and extensions for the lowest price: ✨free.✨

Dubrovnik to Split-
We awoke on our last morning in split and Matt and Becca went on a super quick and relatively flat (by Dubrovnik standards) run then we packed with the usual franticness and stored our bags in the luggage storage in our building at checkout time of 10 AM. Our ferry to split didn’t leave until 3:15 pm so we had some time to kill and we started this buy spending about 2.5 hours of hanging on Banje beach right by our place. The kids had fun exploring the beachside rocks and all enjoyed cooling off in the clear blue waters of the Adriatic. We then used our one 50 euro cent piece to pay for a 30 second beachside shower to try and desalinate the 6 of us (but it seemed like only Matt was willing to brave the ice cold shower water to do so). We then headed back to our place, got our bags out of storage and changed our of swimsuits in the courtyard before catching a bus to the port area. There, Matt’s plan was to check out Dubrovnik beer company and grab beer/lunch. We only succeeded in one of the two as they apparently don’t start serving food until 3, but the beer was tasty and it was a bit refreshing to taste some hops after not getting much of this in beers over the past month or so. We improvised a lunch of bread, cheese and the 100g of Salami Matt had purchased way back in Pianillo and then walked about 10 min to our ferry dock. The children and Becca were once again commenting on Matt’s frugality as we walked by several much larger ferries going the same direction to our much smaller, slightly cheaper and hopefully (for Matt’s sake) equally fast and comfortable “TP lines” ferry to Split. The ferry ride did turn out to be pretty smooth, if a bit long. it was cool to look out and see the coastline of Croatia and hundreds of islands sliding by as we sailed up the smooth waters of the straits between them. We called in Pomena, Korcula, and Hvar before arriving in Split right on time at about 8:30 pm. From Hvar on there was another child who was sprinting laps around the ferry playing a broken english chase game with our 3 littlest kids (Emily the pre-teen read her book instead). On arrival it was immediately apparent that Split was a much bigger town than Dubrovnik with lots of hustle and bustle around us and people trying to get us on taxis. We instead walked to the nearby bus stop where google maps said to get on the number 18 bus, so we did, it was one of those double long busses and Becca/kids got on the back while Matt walked to the front door to pay for tickets. When I got on the driver asked where we were going then looked at Matt's phone and told hime to get off walk across the street and take the 15 bus, so Matt got off and yelled back to the fam to get off which they tried to do but the back doors wouldn't re-open so the family drove off on the bus with Matt standing on the curb! Becca called Matt and we made a plan that they would stay on and ride the 6 stops as originally planned per google maps, which they did and found the place, and checked in. Matt walked across the street as instructed by bus driver but discovered the number 15 bus was not coming for 45 minutes, so he again checked the phone and it advised him to take the number 8 bus which came in 10 minutes so he did, purchased a ticket without being hassled bu the driver this time and ended up with a short 5 min walk to the place at the end. Matt arrived to all the kids being very fired up about arriving at the rental place they had been looking forward to the most of anywhere, complete with a "B" shaped pool the kids had dubbed "the butt pool" in pictures and a kids room with a cars/star wars theme. We finally got them calmed down, unpacked and in bed around 10 pm and the tired adults also hit the hay after social media-ing a bit on our fast internet.

The forsaken road
Tumblr media
Requested: yes by anon
Summary: You have been gone for a year now, even though Finn and you have been friend since ever. Now he is trying to convince you to come back to Birmingham.
Author’s note:
Finn is a little sassy, but this is supposed to be a close friend and usually nobody is shy around close friends. Maybe he got the usual Shelby sass.
This was super funny to write and I hope I did the request right. This thing whole x reader thing is still new to me.
The reader is female, I couldn’t work around that. I’m sorry. There are only two times or so, when the reader is referred to as “she.”
Requests are still open~ If you want to request something or want to be added to my tag list, just write me!
John is dead in this one q.q
And the reader is stubborn as fuck
Word count: 4260
Warnings: major character death, swearing
It was the first time Finn was nervous behind the steering wheel. Even when he started driving, he felt completely comfortable with it. Cars just were his thing and he wasn’t the only one to notice. Tommy himself chose Finn to be his driver more than once and Finn was a good driver. He didn’t panic nor did he take unnecessary risks.
But this time it was different. He was alone in the car, nobody by his side and his destination was on the countryside. Far away from his usual ways. His hands clung around the leather wheel. The grip so tight, his knuckles shined white. Nevertheless, this was important and he had worries, if he would find the small cottage in the middle of nowhere. Polly drew the way on his map, so he wouldn’t get lost, but he still feared, what would happen, if it was getting dark and he was still driving.
With all his might he tried to push his insecurities away. These wouldn’t help him find his way through the unknown. And it was not like he had another choice. You didn’t seem to return to Birmingham by yourself, so he needed to get you back. Actually, he didn’t understand why you left in the first place. You had a job and friends, who cared about you and yet you left in the middle of the night, without even saying goodbye.  You should have come at least to him, your best friend.
When Isiah told him, he refused to believe it. Maybe it was just a bad joke. You wouldn’t run off without a word… and yet you did. The realization knocked him down. Finn couldn’t imagine his life without you and now he had to. Even worse, he didn’t know why. He thought, he meant as much to you as you did to him. Apparently this wasn’t the case. You left him heartbroken and he would never say that out loud, but he cried.
And yet, he wasn’t over you. Somehow he just couldn’t forget you. The way you smiled, when he cracked a joke or when a new pint of beer arrived at the table. He missed the smell of your hair, when you leaned against his shoulder late at night. Or that one time you held hands under the table at the Garrison. You swore Bonnie saw the innocent act, but Finn doubted it. You had some much fun together and now everything was gone with the wind.
That was the reason, why he took the forsaken road. If he couldn’t bring you back, he needed at least an explanation. Otherwise he would never have a peaceful sleep again. He had prepared everything he would say. There were a couple of things on his mind and he needed to say them. Hopefully you would listen. Finn thought about the whole scenario over and over again. And even when you would be as stubborn as ever, he had one last option.
His heart jumped, when he noticed the small cottage down the road. This had to be it. The house of your aunt and her husband. Now it was just a few meters ahead of him and he was getting even more nervous. The hands were all sweaty and his knees started to shake as he pulled into the driveway.
The motor stopped and everything was dead silent for a while. Finn was too scared to move and froze right on the driver’s seat. Inside of him there was a voice yelling at him to get out of the fucking car and ask you, why you had to break his heart. But he couldn’t, not until he heard steps on the gravel path that went around the house. Wary like a watch-dog he turned his head to see who was coming.
Until now he was worried, that he might have the wrong address… or you wouldn’t be there anymore… or something worse. Now he had his proof. You stood just not far away from him and yet it felt like you were miles away. Finn stumbled out of the car and ran to you, before you could hide in the house.
“Hey”, you managed to say, while you couldn’t believe your own eyes. After all this time you spend dreaming about him, he was here. Right in front of you. Suddenly you had a lump in your throat and your heart was racing. This reunion seemed so surreal and you doubted you would like how this would turn out. You knew that he wasn’t pleased with the way things ended. It was visible in his face. His cheeks were so red, his freckles weren’t even visible.
And even though he seemed so angry, all you wanted right now was to pull him in for a long hug. Of course, you missed him. He was your best friend and you had spent so many great nights together with the others at the Garrison. But still you couldn’t move and prepared for the worst.
“Hey!” he yelled: “Fucking finally.”
Nobody moved, but you felt the tension. You knew you should say something, anything, but there were no words to explain your inner tumult.
Finn signed and added: “You should have said this months ago.”
Slowly you nodded. Unable to speak, it was the least you could do. And he was right though. You should have had that conversation sooner, but you feared it so much, that you just packed your things and went.
Then you heard something, you certainly didn’t expect. “I missed you.”
You hadn’t comprehended this sentence and suddenly you felt his arms around you.
He whispered in your ear: “Every fucking day, Y/N.”
It was the long hug you needed and it gave you the idea, that maybe and just maybe things weren’t as bad as you thought. With croaked voice you mumbled: “I missed you too.”
But you were wrong. Things were bad and four soft spoken words couldn’t obliterate one year in misery. He pulled away and the look on his face was quite surprised as he asked: “Then why you left?”
Your mouth was dry as you tried to prepare some kind of an answer, certainly not a good one. It felt like your lips were glued together and even when you tried to open it, it wouldn’t work.
His hands caressed your cheeks. “What was the reason? Why did you leave me?”
“I was…”, you begun to say, but paused to take a deep breath: “I was scared.”
“Of me?” he asked with concern in his eyes.
You shook your head. “No… of course not.”
Right now you felt more feelings in the glimpse of this moment than ever in your life. It was like a rollercoaster. Everything went up and down. Yes, you were happy, he got all the way here, just to see you again, but you still feared this conversation. Running away was stupid, you knew, there was just no other option to get out of this mess.
Your body shivered as you felt his warm breath on your chest. “What were you scared of?”
How could you answer it? There was no easy way to say it.
“Of Tommy?” You shook your head, while tears filled your eyes. “Arthur?”
“No”, you whispered: “Don’t be silly. Nobody from your family was the problem.”
His frustration reached a peak. He got even louder as he shouted: “Then tell me who!”
You winced, because he frightened you. Even though he was the sweetest and most innocent of the four Shelby brothers, Finn still got the temper. And this time you really deserved it.
“Nobody”, you cried: “I was just scared.”
Finn took another step back. His hands left your cheeks gently, but were clenched into fists just seconds after. “Of what?” he repeated once again.
This time you tried to explain: “I don’t know. I thought something bad would happen. I could feel it coming.” There wasn’t a clear sign, when you knew you couldn’t be there anymore. This feeling grew inside of you for a long time. While being friends with the Shelbys you have witnessed violence, drug abuse, gang fights and other things, you weren’t ready for.
Things that changed you until you couldn’t sleep anymore and you couldn’t breathe anymore. That was the reason why you left. But of course, Finn didn’t seem to understand it. The tiny wheels in his head kept turning, but he still looked clueless.
“Why?” he whispered with a face like he seemed to choke on his own words.
You had to reach out for him, pulled him into a hug and patted his back. “I was scared of losing you”, you said. It didn’t even sound like your voice, not stubborn and strong as always but very weak and broken.
He wrapped his arms around you and squeezed you until you couldn’t breathe. “But why then… I had to lose you?”
Just when you were about to answer, he added: “I mean… this year without you was horrible. All the sudden you were gone and you took all the colors with you. Everything seemed so bleak. Nobody could cheer me up. I couldn’t… do anything without you. I was useless after you left… and you didn’t even tell me yourself. Isaiah noticed, you weren’t at home and then I asked Polly and she confirmed it. You know, I thought it was all my fault… because what happened the night before.”
That night. Yes, you did remember that. Actually you planned to tell him on that fateful night, that you were leaving, but after he kissed you and you kissed him, you couldn’t bring yourself to confess. You bit your lip.
“It wasn’t your fault”, you mumbled. Your fingers were running through his hair so careful, as if he would break, if the pressure was slightly higher. “It was mine. The night was great, but I couldn’t be in Birmingham at that time.”
He lifted his head to look you in the eyes. There were so many questions in his mind. You could see it.
“After John’s death I knew, I couldn’t stand the thought of losing you the same way. Shot multiple times. My feelings for you were to strong. I had loved you and your end would have been mine as well. Every time, we met at the Garrison, I feared some day you wouldn’t show up, because you were lying dead somewhere. I’m not the type of person who would seek revenge but more the type of person who would crumble to pieces”, you professed.
But this wasn’t even the end of the story. Finn was keen to say something. You shushed him. “I wasn’t done yet.”
“With the time I had realized this wasn’t the life I wanted. I wasn’t ready for all this violence and I still think it would ruin me. When I still did snow, it was okay. I could tolerate the fact that everything we had was bought by blood. But when I stopped doing drugs, I felt sick every time I saw what your brothers did to defend their power.”
Slowly you let him go. Not as sudden as the last time. He forced you to explain it and you did as he wished, but you knew, this wouldn’t make better.
You just weren’t the right person for him, even though you loved him. Others might have stayed, but it was too much for you.
Now the both of you were crying. When he realized, that things hadn’t changed, he felt worse than before. “You had loved me?” he asked like he couldn’t believe his own voice.
“Actually… I still do”, you confessed: “Not a single day has passed, I didn’t think about you.”
Finn stared at you. “Why didn’t say something sooner?” The red vanished from his face and it left him even paler than before.
You shrugged. “I don’t know. I thought you wouldn’t feel the same way.”
“But I do!” he protested: “I always have.”
It was what you wanted to hear, even though now it was too late. It didn’t matter anymore. You decided to stay here. Maybe the life in the small cottage was boring, but at least it was peaceful. From morning till dawn you spend your time in the garden or in the kitchen and nothing bad ever happened, unlike all that drama in Small Heath.
You glared at the cloudless sky. It was a warm, yet windy day, just like it was one year ago, when the husband of your aunt picked you up at a station nearby.  Back then you thought you would never see him again. Now he was standing here and declared his love for you. Should this feel like a happy end?
“Maybe… it’s too late”, you murmured. The time for sweeping love declarations was months ago. Finally you wiped the wetness from your cheeks.
At first Finn just gazed in abstraction, then he frowned. “What?”
“Maybe it’s time for you to leave. You don’t want to get lost in the dark.” Yes, you pushed him away, but it has been hard enough for you to forget him. His family still had shady business and they would always have enemies. Neither could Finn escape them nor you, if you were his girlfriend.
“Fuck no.”
Now you were baffled by his words. With an intense glare you stared at him. This was very unlikely for him, which made you think, he might have changed while you were gone.
“Stop making decision for me. Everybody else already does this. I won’t leave until we had a proper talk.”
Obviously, you were lost in translation. Didn’t you just have that talk, did you? “Tell me what you want to know”, you demanded, while you crossed your arms in front of your chest.
Finn took another step towards you. “Just tell me why we should not be together. I mean, I love you and you love me and yet you keep pushing me away.” He held out his hand for you to grab it. You didn’t.
“Love isn’t everything Finn”, you argued: “I want safety.”
Just when you were about to explain this further the front door opened behind Finn. Your aunt stepped out of the house. “Dinner is ready, Y/N.”
“I’m coming”, you said as you were on your way to the dinner table. The young Shelby followed you with his eyes. This talk had come to an end, at least in your opinion, but Finn didn’t seem to agree with you.
He grabbed your hand and gave it a squeeze, while he begged you silently to stay.
“I heard you two talking”, your aunt tossed in: “You were pretty loud, dear.”
Your cheeks were getting hot. This was embarrassing. Since you left Birmingham, you had found a new home here in the middle of nowhere. Your aunt was sweet and caring. She never had children and loved the idea of getting a little help around the house. Now she had heard why you had fled.
And again you had no good apology. But this time you didn’t even have to say something. Your aunt did. “Now come inside. It’s getting cold and your boyfriend probably wants to eat something after the long drive.”
You babbled some incoherent words, while Finn started smiling like an angel. “Thank you. I sure would love to have dinner with you, Mrs.” he nodded.
Since you were still completely overwhelmed with this whole situation, Finn guided you to the entrance. When you realized, he was about to enter the house, you started moving yourself and picked up the pace.
Inside you noticed the fourth plate on the dinner table. Your aunt had already planned to invite him in. What a back-stabbing bitch.
You glared at her with passionate hate. Yeah, okay, you loved Finn, but this still didn’t mean you could have a life with him, a known gangster. However your aunt disrupted your plans to forget about him. Now he thought he still could turn things around, which wasn’t possible.
“You can sit here, sweetie”, she said and pointed at a chair. Finn followed her order and took place.
This damn smile wouldn’t leave his darn beautiful face. With clenching fists you sat down right in front of him. “After this… you’re leaving”, you threatened him.
Pointless, but you tried. Of course, you didn’t know that Finn thought you were the cutest, when you tried to intimidate someone.
“We’ll see about that”, he grinned and then turned to your aunt: “This house is beautiful…. But it was very hard to find.”
Your aunt giggled and put a steaming pot in the middle of the table. Inside of it was a delicious stew and the smell filled the room. “Well, it’s very quiet here and the sea is nearby. Maybe Y/N can show you the beach. You probably know, how stubborn she can be.”
Finn burst out in laughter and agreed: “Yes, she can be quite a pain in the ass, but she is still my best friend. Everybody back home missed her so much. I had hoped to bring her back for a couple of days… She said no.”
“Wait…”, you interrupted him: “Who said that?”
“What?”
“That they missed me?”
Finn was surprised for the glimpse of a second, and then he laughed. “Everybody! Isiah said it a couple of times. Bonnie too! Arthur said he missed hearing you singing drunk in the Garrison. And Esme said the fair isn’t half as funny without you.”
Your mouth formed a silent “Oh” like you just realized that you had left everybody behind and not just Finn.
He made a wiggly movement with his hands. “You probably won’t believe me but… even Michael said something is different since you left.”
You gave him a skeptic stare and just shook your head. “No fucking way.” Not even in a thousand years Michael would say something like that and not about you from all people. He was a jerk who would always make snarky side comments about you and you would do the same about him. It wasn’t friendship- not even close, even though you had the same group of friends.
“Yes, of course he did. Everybody is sad that you left without saying goodbye”, he responded and hiked his shoulders.
Slowly, your head turned towards your empty plate. Maybe leaving like this was kinda selfish.
Your aunt was filling the bowls with stew, when her husband arrived though the backdoor. His face was stained with dirt, but his eyes widened as he noticed Finn. “Who is that?” he growled and sat down at the table.
“Y/N’s boyfriend. He came all the way from the city to see her again.” Apparently your aunt thought she was being funny.
Her husband didn’t seem to be happy with that answer either. He grunted and then began to eat his dinner in silence.
Finn’s cheeks were red once again, but this time it wasn’t anger. He was nervous. “Nice to meet you, Mr. I’m Finn Shelby.” You heard it in his voice.
Your uncle nodded and didn’t stop shoveling stew in his mouth for one second. He wasn’t a man of many words. More like the silent type of guy. You liked it. At least he wasn’t as noisy as your aunt.
The dinner was exhausting. Your aunt kept asking Finn all types of questions and he was hesitant to answer most of them. Once or twice you helped him out. He was still your friend and seeing him in discomfort made you feel the same.
And the discomfort didn’t end with the dinner. “Finn, dear, it’s already dark outside. Do you still want to go back today? We still have a guestroom. You can stay there, if you want to? You two still have so much to talk about.” The suggestion of your aunt may seem nice, but it was meant to torture you.
“Oh, that’s so nice”, he said: “Thank you. I just have to get some things of mine from the car.”
Finally he stood up. You followed him back to his car. Now you had at least the opportunity to talk him out of this stupid idea. He shouldn’t be here and both of you knew it. Tommy would be furious with him, if he left for so long.
“You can’t stay”, you decided.
With a wide grin on his face he replied: “Oh, sure I can. Your aunt said it… and since you’re not my girlfriend… you can’t make decision for me.” He poked your nose and smiled.
Then he turned around to his car and opened trunk. It was full of all kinds of stuff. Why did he need a dress? And it wasn’t even his color!
You took a deep breath before pointing out the obvious: “What the fuck is this?”
“Gifts”, Finn answered: “When I said, I would be visiting you everybody gave me something for you.”
Now you had to take a closer look of the ragbag of things inside of the trunk. The Shelby coughed slightly and explained: “The dress is from Ada and the jewelry box is from Isaiah… but don’t worry, his sister chose it. Tommy gave you a bottle of gin. He started making some, while you were gone. Actually… I took the bottle, but it doesn’t matter. Tommy bribes everybody to try his gin. It’s the family recipe. And Bonnie got you a scarf. Well… it’s all kind of stuff.”
“I can’t accept that.” It was too much and too expensive. You were never part of the family, just Finn’s little friend.
Finn clucked his tongue. “Yes, you can.” Then he started to put some gifts in your arms.
“Let’s get this stuff inside and then go to the beach your aunt mentioned.”
You were ready to argue and yet you had nothing left to say. “Why are you so stubborn all the sudden?” you asked.
He took the rest and closed the trunk again, before responding: “Because usually you’re the bone head of us, but this time I have something to say and I’m not leaving until you heard it”
“Trust me just once. This is important”, he added with stern eyes and stroked your cheek with his finger.
When he looked at you like that, something inside you melted and you got weak in your knees. There was something undeniably sexy about him. Your head felt so hot when you squeaked: “Fine.”
Then you walked together with him back to the house and put the things in your room. Finn was prying, but you didn’t stay long enough for him to snoop around.
After you were done, you pulled him out of your room again. “You were never interested in my stuff. Why now?”
“Well, I wanted to know which things you kept and which things you had thrown away”, he explained as the both of you walked out of the house.
You crossed your arms before your chest and argued: “My other stuff is in my old room in Birmingham… but it’s not like I had so much to take with me.”
Finn was just about to walk in the wrong direction, so you took his hand and pulled him back. “It’s this way to the beach.”
“Okay, take the lead, lady”, he laughed: “But you still wear the necklace I got you.”
Immediately, your hand searched the pendant. It was nothing expensive, however it was very important to you, because Finn gave it to you on your birthday. “Well, I said I would never take it off.”
“Good”, he nodded and glanced at the sky with all his stars. He was more than a head taller than you, so you couldn’t see how happy your words made him.
Then you walked in silence to the beach. It was even windier here and you forgot to take your jacket, because you just wanted to get over with this and then go back to your boring life.
Finn noticed your shivering and put his coat on your shoulders, which made you smile. It has been a while since you felt like that. Your tummy rumbled in excitement.
“I still have one last gift for you”, he whispered.
You looked up and down, but you didn’t find it. “Where?”
His handy were jittery, when he said: “Promise me you think about it at least for one second, before saying no.”
“Of course”, you answered and took his hand so he wouldn’t be distracted. Your fingers intertwined with his and you smiled again. “C’mon, Finny, what is it you want to talk about?”
Slowly he went down on one knee. By that time you knew what he was going to say, but you still couldn’t believe it. He pulled out a small box and presented you a very beautiful ring, before saying: “Marry me.”
Your head was empty. All you could do was staring at him.
“I’m serious, Y/N. If you agree to be my wife, you won’t have to worry about your safety anymore. Then you’re part of the family and everybody would protect you. And I need you in my life. This year- without you- was the worst in my life. After losing my brother and almost my cousin I lost you too. I couldn’t eat, I couldn’t sleep and I missed you more than you could imagine. Please come back with me… or at least think about it, before you’re being stubborn again.”

New Days
Rymin Week Day 4: Off the Train
1 2 5 6 7
Ao3
~
Contrary to popular belief (his parents), Min-Gi is not a morning person.
He’d trained himself into getting up and going to bed early, first at his parents’ insistence, then as a necessary skill for all the classes he was taking in high school (Gotta make that college application shine!). Yet given the choice, he would happily stay up all night and wake up extremely late.
On the train, all of Min’s obligations and restrictions suddenly vanished. Although his schedule was primarily dictated by not dying, which led him to sleep and wake up at odd hours (and telling time on the train is a complicated task anyways), he started sleeping in later and later. Now that he’s off the train, and most of his days consist of driving, songwriting, and practicing, he’s free to wake up as late as he wishes.
It’s why he finds himself slowly slipping into the world of wakefulness one unassuming Thursday morning. The van is already moving, as per usual - Ryan doesn’t mind the quiet mornings as Min sleeps away. Golden rays of sunlight peak through the van’s windows.
In the driver’s seat, Ryan is spotlighted in one. The sun’s brilliant hues turn his brown hair into shades of tree bark and make his soft skin glow. He’s beautiful.
Ryan is a morning person, in contrast to Min, but he would very much like to be a night person. They’ve spent ages lamenting the fateful injustice. Unlike Min, who used to force himself to go to bed early even if it meant lying awake in the dark for hours, Ryan chooses to just run on little sleep. He’d go out and party and/or perform all night, crash for a few hours, and wake up at his usual time.
He’s been getting better, though. Just like Min, they’ve both been making bounds of progress now that they’re off the train and free from restrictions. Every time Ryan goes to bed at a decent hour, it eases the worry in Min’s heart.
They’re both doing so much better now. Min never thought he’d be grateful for getting spontaneously kidnapped by a magical death train, but he and Ryan are so much happier now than they’d ever thought they’d be.
Ryan glances over, smiling fondly. “Good morning, sleeping beauty.”
It’s a running joke between them, one that started way back on the train with Kez, but Min’s heart never fails to make a little jump whenever Ryan calls him beauty.
“Morning,” Min replies, stretching. He digs around in a bag at his feet. “Did you move the songbook?”
“Yeah, I was working on it earlier,” Ryan says. He jerks a thumb behind him without taking his eyes off the road. “I left some new lyrics and chords for you to look over.”
Min smiles. “Thanks.” Following Ryan’s directions, he grabs the songbook, a blue pencil, and his coveted mini-synth. Items in hand, he carefully slips into the passenger’s seat and buckles up.
Ryan shoots him a quick grin and turns his music off so Min can write.
For the next few hours, they stay as they are - Ryan keeps them on track to their next gig, while Min tackles the lines Ryan wrote earlier. It was a bit of a learning curve, figuring out how to write songs together, when they first started out. Ryan only knew chords and tablature, while Min only knew notated music from his viola days. Now, though, a couple months into their journey, they’ve worked out a good system. Whoever comes up with lyrics or a melody first (usually lyrics, and usually Ryan) will pen it along with any chords or notes they can think of. The other will look it over, edit it, and add the missing element. It usually makes for a solid first draft.
Min twirls the pencil in his hand. Blue. His favorite color. Ryan usually writes in a red pencil, from a set of colored pencils he stole from his younger brother before leaving. It makes contributions easy to distinguish when writing and editing.
Every so often, while Min looks over Ryan’s ideas, he’ll pull out his mini-synth and tap out a melody. Both of them find it easier to create melodies with an instrument in hand. Min may not play his mini-synth on stage like Ryan plays his guitar, but it still makes him happy to play it regularly. Not as a toy, not as something he has to hide from his boss and his parents, but as a genuine instrument.
As he writes and plays, Ryan listens. He keeps his attention on the road and map, but chimes in every so often with little affirmations and suggestions.
“Is that a D?” Ryan muses. “Under a G?”
Min thumbs the corner of the page. “Yeah, I think it sounds cool. Thoughts?”
Ryan graces him with a patented Ryan Akagi grin, all teeth. “I like it! I’ll look it over when you drive.” Ryan squeezes his fists on the steering wheel. “I’m really glad we’re working together, Min. This is way better than anything I’ve written solo.”
Min ducks his head, cheeks flushing. “Oh- Uh- I like writing with you too,” he replies. “
--
In the afternoon, they pull over and Min takes the wheel. Sometimes at this time they stop for food - they’ve made it their mission to catalogue all the small restaurants across Canada and America on the way to New York for future reference. But today Ryan got a late start on driving because he was songwriting (“Inspiration strikes when it strikes, Min! Who am I to deny my muses?” Never mind that Ryan is uncharacteristically close-lipped about what/who said muses even are), so they eat separately in the car. They step out to stretch for a minute, and Min hands over the songbook and food. Then they’re off again.
Ryan makes a few more edits with his red pencil, but they always collaborate on the second pass. At both of their insistence, they have to wait until one of them isn’t driving to truly discuss it. Min thought he might have to put his foot down on this, but Ryan was insistent - he’s an experienced driver and knows far to well just how dangerous and difficult driving is.
The afternoon passes without much fanfare. Min keeps his eyes on the road while Ryan edits and eventually breaks out his guitar. The highway is long, flat, and unassuming. Few other cars pass them.
It’s for that exact reason Ryan gets an idea that is both brilliant and stupid.
“Min. Min. Minminminminminmi-”
“What.” A feeling of dread washes over Min before the words are even out of Ryan’s mouth.
Ryan grins toothily at him. “I’m gonna stick my head out the window.”
Min chokes on air., surprised. “Wh- Ryan. Why would you want to do that? Didn’t you have enough thrills on the death train?”
“Eh,” Ryan says, shrugging. “I’ve always wanted to do it, but i couldn’t exactly do it while driving when I was touring alone. Besides, my parents would never let me.”
“For good reason,” Min grumbles, but in his gut he knows Ryan’s already won.
Ryan frowns at him. “Look, I’m not stupid. I’ll be careful. I won’t lean so far out of the car that I’ll fall. I’ll come back in if there are more cars or it looks like I might hit something.”
“Or if we start turning,” Min warns.
Ryan’s replying smile is blinding. “Does that mean it’s a yes from you?”
Min rolls his eyes. “Just try not to die. If I show up to the venue with only half the band, the manager won’t be happy with me.”
“Yes!” Ryan punches his fist in the air and dances triumphantly - or, he dances as much as one can while sitting in the seat of a moving van.
Ryan rolls down the window and sticks his head out. He’s crouching on the seat, half-standing, in order to fully fit through the window. His upper body is out of the car. His arms wave and flail, making his jacket sleeves flutter even more violently in the wind.
Min starts to shout a warning, to yell about safety precautions, to give into the panic in his heart and yell get down, but the words die in his throat the minute he lays eyes on Ryan’s face.
Ryan is joyful. Euphoric. Happy. He has always been a smiley person, but times where he is truly, unadulteredly happy are rarer than you’d think. Here, riding half-outside of the van while they drive to their fame and dreams, he seems truly free.
Min smiles. God, he loves that man.
Ryan glances back, the light reflecting off his glasses, and flashes Min an adrenaline-fueled grin and a shaky thumbs up. His ankles wobble a bit. Before Min realizes what he’s doing, he reaches out and grabs Ryan for support.
Ryan’s mouth drops open in a small ‘o’. Min moves to take his hand back, but before he can, Ryan twists and reaches back inside the car to grab Min’s wrist, stopping him in his tracks.
Min freezes.
Ryan is smiling, more bashful and careful now than before. He’s still happy, but… nervous? Anxious?
Min’s heart flutters. He manages to smile back.
“I got you,” he says, although it comes out as a whisper.
“O-oh,” Ryan whispers. His eyes are wide and soft. “I… thank you, Min.”
Min ducks his head awkwardly. “You’re welcome.”
The rest of the drive is quiet. It’s not awkward, but it’s not as comfortable and natural as it usually would be.
Something has changed.
Min grips the wheel tighter and stares down the road, for a lack of real target. If looks could kill, the road would be up in flames.
It’s… confusing. He’s not sure why a change in their dynamic is so upsetting and off-putting. He and Ryan have gone through so many changes over the years, and they’ve always been able to come back to themselves in the end.
Besides, it’s not like they had an argument. Or even a misunderstanding. All they did was hold onto each other to keep balance. Why does this feel so monumental?
Min chances a glance away from the road to look at Ryan. He’s curled up in the passenger seat (because Ryan seems incapable of sitting normally when he’s not driving) with his guitar. The songbook, flipped open to their latest draft, is balanced precariously on Ryan’s knee. He’s bent over to read it accurately, which must be difficult, especially in the dim light. But he seems to be managing. He’s humming softly to himself, almost too quiet for Min to catch it. As he’s focused on the road (no matter how much he wants to listen to Ryan’s ethereal yet natural and homey singing) the melody floats in and out of focus. Ryan is also plucking at his guitar, playing mostly individual notes instead of chords. It’s calming and comforting, not to mention beautiful. If Min weren’t driving, he might just fall right asleep. Even though he’s the one playing, Ryan seems drowsy as well, judging by the way he’s leaning against the back of the seat.
As they draw closer to their destination, Ryan seems to consciously shake himself into wakefulness. He sits up and puts the songbook away to focus fully on his guitar. As Min pulls off the highway and navigates the city streets, Ryan tunes his guitar and warms up.
They run through a couple vocal exercises together, practicing harmonies and lyrics as well as warm-ups. Min is a bit shaky since he’s focused on the road, but he and Ryan know their songs by heart, and the warm-up does the job. He’s still a bit jittery as he pulls into the venue parking lot, but that’s normal. He hasn’t quite shaken his stage fright yet, but as long as he has Ryan at his side, he’s able to perform. More than that, he has fun performing.
Besides, Ryan confided in him a while back, before their first real show. “You’re not the only one with stage fright, Min,” he’d confessed. “Yeah, I love it, and the adrenaline basically cancels out the fear, but it’s still there. You just have to go for it.”
Min had felt comforted enough to perform with that, with the admission that even the seemingly-fearless Ryan Akagi, who’d always seemed more at home on a stage than at his actual home got stage fright. But then Ryan had hesitated, glanced down, and taken Min’s hand. Min’s heart had nearly stuttered to a stop in his chest. He almost missed what Ryan said next.
“Besides, it doesn’t matter if you get stage fright or not,” Ryan had said cheerfully, too cheerfully, although Min barely noticed. “All that really matters is if you enjoy what you’re doing. It’s more admirable to conquer your fear in order to chase your dreams than to not have fear.”
Min had smiled back, shaky but euphoric. Adrenaline coursed through his veins, not unlike how he felt onstage. “That’s very profound.”
Ryan had laughed and squeezed his hand. “Eh, I have a lot of experience. Listen to me, I’m the master!”
The mood subtly shifted with the joke, and suddenly they were laughing and Ryan let go of his hand and they were pushing the synthesizer on stage and it was all a blur from there until the curtain went down and Ryan was squealing and hugging him and picking him up and screaming We did it! You did it!
What a first show.
Min shakes himself back to reality and pulls into the venue parking lot. Ryan jumps out of the van before Min is fully parked, despite Min’s loud protests. He rolls his eyes and lets Ryan run ahead anyway.
While Ryan gets checked in with the manager, Min parks and unloads Barold and the rest of their equipment (which is pretty much just Barold now, since Ryan took his guitar with him in his haste). He heads inside, he and Ryan set up, and then they’re standing onstage behind a lowered curtain, waiting in darkness and silence for their cue.
Suddenly, Ryan turns around and flashes Min a thumbs-up and a bright smile. It’s more jerky and jittery than usual, probably because of the nerves and adrenaline. He seems a little more on edge today, though.
“We’re gonna do great!” Ryan promises, grinning.
Min smiles back. “We’re gonna do rad,” he replies. The tension between them dissipates, and the curtain goes up. Ryan turns toward the crowd, beaming his particular I’m-on-stage-but-I’m-really-enjoying-myself smile, and greets them. The crowd goes wild.
Energy floods Min’s body, and he grins back at the crowd. Ryan counts them off, and they burst into their opening number with the power and passion it requires. The crowd screams, but Min can barely hear them over the music and Ryan’s voice.
He’s living. Far more than he ever was before.
They both are.
--
After the show is a blur of chatting with audience members, grabbing something to eat, and scheduling another show. By the time they head to the hotel, Min’s exhausted. But he dutifully puts all the equipment in their hotel room and locks up the van before he collapses into bed.
Ryan is already in their room when Min comes in. He’s sitting on the bed, facing away from the door, with his hands on his lap. Most striking is the absence of his guitar. Ryan may have been playing all day, but it’s rare for him to be without his instrument and yet so still like this.
Ryan, to his core, is always moving. Even when he’s not physically moving, he’s always singing, humming, thinking. Yet now, he sits in absolute stillness.
“Ryan?” Min whispers. His voice is quieter than he intended, but Ryan jumps at it all the same.
When he turns, he’s smiling disarmingly, but it’s too wide and shaky to be natural. Ryan may have convinced someone else with that expression, but Min knows him too well to be fooled.
Min strides into the room with three short steps, locking the door behind him. He stops in front of Ryan, so close their knees are almost brushing. Ryan blushes. “What’s wrong?”
“Nothing, I- Nothing.” Ryan won’t meet his gaze.
Min scowls. “Come on, Ryan. Aren’t we past this? Didn’t the train teach us not to do all this not-talking crap?”
Ryan flinches. “I- Sorry. I didn’t mean to. I’m just… thinking.”
“About what?” Min finally moves, stepping around Ryan to sit on the bed beside him. He takes care to keep his voice soft and gentle. He doesn’t want to scare Ryan again. Whatever’s going on seems to have him skittish all of a sudden.
Ryan bites his lip. “Min, I… you know I care about you, right?”
Min blinks, surprised. “Of course I do.” Hesitantly, he reaches out to take Ryan’s hand, running his thumb over Ryan’s knuckles. “I care about you too.”
Ryan blushes. His cheeks are nearly scarlet right now. Min’s a bit too tired to unpack that all on his own right now, but he knows it means something. It spurs him on, gives him a burst of courage and energy in the adrenaline crash phase after a show. “I’m glad we’re-” He’s about to say friends, but the word dies on his lips. Suddenly, it feels all wrong, but he can’t put his finger on why.
Slowly, Ryan turns to face him. His eyes are wide and anxious, his lips slightly parted, but there’s a set determination in him that shows in his face. He reaches out to take Min’s other hand, and… leans in closer.
Min finds himself leaning in simultaneously. Soon they’re close enough Min can feel Ryan’s breath on his lips. It’s hot in more ways than one.
Oh. Oh.
So that’s why today, Ryan’s hand on his wrist, the trusting and yet shocked expression of his, felt so weird and so right at the same time.
Their eyes meet. A silent exchange passes between them.
Do you want to do this?
Yes. Do you?
Yes.
If asked after, Min couldn’t say if he initiated it or if Ryan did.
All he knows is the gap between them is now nonexistent, and Ryan’s lips are on his, and suddenly it’s everything he’s ever wanted.
The kiss is slow. Hesitant. Exploring new territory, figuring out boundaries. But it’s not awkward.
No, they are Ryan and Min, Min and Ryan, Chicken Choice Judy, and they have come much too far to be awkward. They’ve been building towards this moment since they first met, even if they didn’t know it.
It feels like a found puzzle piece of himself Min didn’t even realize he was missing. Now, he is complete. Now, they are complete.
Now, they are both truly living their lives to the fullest.

this fic is just: *headcanon* *headcanon* *headcanon* *hea-
oh man i almost didn't finish this one in time. it's still the 12th here, though (by a couple hours!), so i'm good! it's hard to write a full one-shot every day, but i've already come farther than i thought i would! i told myself i would finish this today, and i did! i also told myself i would finish the week and my remaining prompts, and i will. :)
title is from new days by dreamcatcher. that's the second time i've used it as a title but the last one was for a zine fic so i can get away with using it here, lol. i really love that song, so that's why. the lyrics translation are absolutely nothing like this, but for some reason it gives off road trip vibes (at least to me), so it works really well for this particular piece!
okay confession time: i think this is the first kiss scene i've ever written lol. i was writing it and i was like "hey wait a minute i have no clue what i'm doing have i done this before??? i don't think so???" it didn't help that i didn't intend to write a kiss scene, but i got to the place where i'd intended to end it and it felt like the natural progression. i'm gonna go research good kiss writing after this. i would've done it while i was writing, but i didn't want to post this any later than i had to
i have a bunch of infinity train snippets and wips i wrote right after book 4 aired and my interest in the show peaked, and i really thought i had something that would fit well for off the train but i guess i didn't?? maybe i just daydreamed it and never actually penned it skfhksl. so i was kind of flying by the seat of my pants for this one. i think it's my favorite of rymin week so far though! it was also the most fun to write. i really love introspective pieces. ryan and min off the train, after their relationship is repaired, when they're in a much better place and truly happy with each other, is also my favorite time in their lives to explore. they're so much happier and healthier, and they can truly start to explore themselves and realize their dreams.
if you have a piano or something on hand you should play the d and g notes together. they sound heavenly. in choir two years ago we had that chord and i have never forgotten it because i love it so much.
if you ever wanna talk infinity train, writing, these amazing characters, or really anything hmu here on my tumblr or twitter! thank you for reading, and please leave a reblog/like/comment if you enjoyed it!

Rescued(Cole Stewart)
Cole didn’t die in In The Afterlight and he’s rescued from the red training facility. I made this to help with the pain of what happened to Cole in the books. I hope you enjoy :)
Find Cole, get out unnoticed, and meet back at the warehouse. Way easier said than done. Nico was able to figure out that the video they sent us was fake and that the body wasn't Cole's. So we gathered up what was left of our team to get him back. With Ruby at Thurmond and Liam gone it was up to us to get Cole.
Vida was in the driver's seat listening as Chubs gave her the directions to the red training facility. I stared out the window as he talked.
-Two days ago-
“Please be careful and don't take any risks. In and out alright? Get what you need and that's it.” Cole was putting on his coat as I spoke.
“You should be telling Liam that, he's the reckless one remember?” he said as we walked out of our room.
Liam and Ruby were hugging as we approached the tunnel door. “I'm being serious. I would like you back in one piece please.” Cupping my cheeks in his hands he rolled his eyes. “We will be careful and you will get me back in one piece.”
I didn't want him going even if it was just to scope the place out. Anything could go wrong. And knowing that he got this information from Clancy didn't make me feel any better. I knew Ruby didn't like it either.
Leaning in to kiss me he whispered “Might be two pieces though.” I slapped his arm as he laughed, placing a kiss on my lips.
“Lets go so we can be back in time for dinner,” Liam said as Ruby stood on her toes kissing his cheek. Goodness they were adorable. A perfect match if I was being honest.
Cole pushed Liam towards the tunnel door and then leaned down to Ruby. As if asking for a kiss on the cheek too. She flicked his cheek laughing “You’re ridiculous.”
“Take care of things guys,” That was the last thing he said to us.
-Present day-
“We’re getting close. We'll park a mile away then make the rest on foot. Sound good?” Chubs asked.
“No we're gonna drive straight through the fucking building,” Vida replied.
“Sometimes I ask myself why I like you,”
“I ask myself that same question chubby chubby choo choo,” Vida’s response made me laugh.
We were on foot now making our way towards the facility. The darkness was keeping us hidden as we got closer. My anxiety was through the roof. We had no idea what we were gonna find in there. What if they had already broken Cole the same way they did the other reds. Thinking about it made me sick. I had to stay hopeful.
Once the building came into view we dropped to the ground behind a fallen down tree. The place was in the middle of nowhere, the perfect place to illegally keep a bunch of psi.
“I see two guards at the front gate but none at the back,” Vida was using binoculars to watch the building. “You gotta block us from their vision until we can get up to the gate,” one plus to being an orange was making people see what I wanted them to see or see nothing at all.
“Nico said he could only get the camera feed to loop for 5 mins so we have to be quick,” Chubs was looking down at the burner phone we’d brought.
“They won't see us,” I said, getting ready to lock onto their minds. Ruby was more than willing to help me with my abilities and to teach me some tricks. She was the second orange I had met after creepy Martin. And I wasn't desperate enough to ask him for help.
Lucky for me these guards had weak minds that were easy to slip into. I was making them think the field was empty as we were right in front of them.
“Alright, now work that magic,” Vida said. Chubs was scanning the area around us to check for more guards.
“Open the gate asshole,” He did it with no hesitation. The female guard looked right past Vida and Chubs as they walked through the gate. I made sure that they wouldn't remember what I did.
We ran straight to the back of the building out of sight. Ducking down behind a parked truck we looked at the map of the building Nico had printed for us. If we were right Cole would be on the second floor fourth door on the right. After double checking everyone knew the plan we made our way to the back door.
Just as we reached the door it opened and we were met with a very confused PSF. Chubs’ mind was quicker than mine and without lifting a finger the man was face first on the cement. As we stepped over him I took that little memory of us out of his head.
There was no one else in the hallway the door opened to. I felt the minds of the PSFs who were in the security room as well as the psi who were sleeping. We moved swiftly through the first floor making our way to the second. It was dead silent making it easy to hear my heart thumping in my chest.
When we reached the second floor I searched for his mind praying I’d find it. I’ve been in Cole’s mind before except the first time was not on purpose. I was working in the kitchen that day helping prepare dinner for the other kids. It was the feeling that someone was staring at you, but only two other kids were there with me. I reached out to that feeling only to find myself in Cole’s mind. It took me a second to figure out how this had happened. I realized he was thinking about me. He wasn't in the room with me yet his mind was focused on me. As quickly as I entered his mind I left it, scared to see something I shouldn’t.
I knew it was him the instant I found it. He was awake, his thoughts were calm.
Vida stayed at the door to the stairs to keep a look out while Chubs and I made our way to Cole’s room. I could feel that there were 3 other kids in there but they were sleeping. As I watched his back Chubs picked the door lock.
The lock clicked as chubs said, “You ready?” Of course I am. I nodded.
Slowly opening the door chubs poked his head in searching for Cole. Luckily for us his bunk was the closest to the door. I pushed past Chubs to get to Cole. He had his back to me. I reached over to grab his shoulder. When he turned to me he looked shocked. He was going to say something but I stopped him by putting a finger to my lips. Grabbing his hand I guided him out the door back to the stairs where Vida was waiting for us.
“How the hell did you guys get in here?” Cole asked as we quickly but quietly went down the stairs.
“We rode in on horses and politely asked the guards to let us in,” Vida answered.
“Very funny,” He replied.
When we opened the door we were welcomed with the now very angry PSF that Chubs had knocked out. Before Vida could do anything he kicked her, sending her back against the building's wall. Before Chubs could use his gun I had already entered his mind. How angry he looked on the outside matched with what was on the inside. He went still as I took his memory of this very moment. Whenever I took someone's memory it was placed into my head like it was my own. I felt what he felt in that very moment.
He just stood there staring at nothing as Cole helped Vida up.
“Sit down and don't get up until told,” I commanded him. And that's exactly what he did.
Checking to make sure it was all clear Chubs motioned for us to make our way to the gate. And just like before the guards didn't even know we were there.
Hopping in the car Cole looked like he couldn't believe this was happening. “What did you think we were just gonna leave you behind?” I asked him.
“No, I just didn't think it would be so quick. Thought I’d be stuck in there until after you guys dealt with Thurmond.”
“Y/N wouldn't have let us leave you in there that long,” Chubs said, buckling his seat belt.
“I was also getting tired of their crying,” Vida added.
“What a good friend you are Vida.” I said sarcastically.
“I know right.”
Cole moved to the seat next to me bringing me in close,“I told you I’d come back in one piece,” he said before kissing my temple.
“You just got lucky,” I told him.
We had been driving for 4 hours now. We were getting closer to the warehouse we were hiding out in after Clancy exposed the ranch. I watched Cole as he slept with his head on my shoulder. He looked so peaceful considering what had happened. He had a bandage on his neck from where he had been shot. He was lucky enough for the bullet to graze the skin. Chubs still had insisted on checking him out even though Cole argued that he was fine.
I had him back and I wasn't gonna let him get hurt like that again.

ATEEZ: Late night car drive
Fluff
Gender neutral :)
Help, I can’t stop listening to Mist, it’s so so so good and also Wooyoung in the chorus soothes my soul, I can’t with this album it’s so good, also the Wonderland M/V is so powerful, I love this era I can’t believe they did all that, I stan the right group.
(Also in this I included my thoughts on who’s dom/sub as in who drives/who let’s their partner drive (although some of them could be switches) so enjoy…)
Seonghwa
Tumblr media
- after your fancy dinner date with Seonghwa you didn’t want to go home just yet, so Seonghwa suggested a late night drive
- he wanted to show you some special spots in Seoul, which you had never seen
- while he was driving his free hand rested on your thigh
- as soon as you arrived on the observation deck, Seonghwa got out of the driver’s seat and went around the car to open your car door – being the gentleman he is
- the view was breathtaking: the skyline of Seoul, the trees and the moonlight, creating a magical atmosphere
- the best view however was Seonghwa in his fancy suit, you couldn’t take your eyes off of him… and he noticed: “You enjoy staring at me?”
“Actually I do, I’m so lucky”
- you pulled him in for a sweet and slow kiss
 Hongjoong
Tumblr media
- you’ve been cooped up in your apartment all weekend, having no energy to do anything
- Hongjoong called you a few times making sure you’re alright but you insisted you didn’t wanna bother him
- at 11 pm on Sunday night someone knocked on your door and of course it was Hongjoong
“Are you ready to feel better?”
- just seeing his beautiful face was enough to bring tears to your eyes
- he didn’t tell you where he wanted to take you, he just took your hand and you trusted him completely
- after driving for about 40 mins he parked the car in a parking lot that looked abandoned
- you wanted to open the car door but he stopped you: “No need to get out”
- he pulled out a picnic basket from the backseat and put his seat in a lying position
- the car had see-through ceiling (thank KQ for that) so you could look up to the sky and the stars
- while eating chocolate covered fruit, kimbab and eggtarts you both talked about the things that made you worry at the moment
 Yunho
Tumblr media
“Uhh… Y/N? Mh, I think we’re lost”
“What? You said you knew the way, that’s why I let you drive” You had noticed Yunho taking seemingly random turns for a while now
“I know it in the daylight, it’s pitchblack outside now, I can’t help it”
- he looked like a lost puppy, it was so cute, so you laughed
“That’s not funny, we’re actually lost in the middle of nowhere”
“I know but your face was so cute”
- and to that he sulked
- you ended up relying on google maps to guide you home
- you ended up talking 3h for a 1h trip
 Yeosang
Tumblr media
From Yeosangie: I’m still at the company, sorry, I’ll be done in an hour
stay there, you texted back
- that was the perfect opportunity to take a night drive with him and spend some one on one time with him
- so an hour later you showed up at the company, Yeosang was already waiting on the street for you
- he got into the passenger’s seat
- you could tell he was exhausted by the dark circles under his eyes
- for some reason that made him even more attractive to you
“How was your day babe?”
“just the usual stuff: went to uni, had lunch with a friend, did some studying in the library, although I wasn’t that productive today. I have this really big exam coming up, I should really step up my game for that, or I’ll fail that and I can’t let that happen. So how was your day? Did you get to sing the new song?”
- no response from him
“Yeo?”
- you looked over to him and he was out, he looked so peaceful
- you took his hand in yours, he was so warm
- you kept driving till he woke up 2h later, you knew he needed sleep whenever he could get it
 San
Tumblr media
- San drove you both through the city
- you two talked a lot, which kind of distracted him from the road
- you didn’t think much about it but when San kept driving although the traffic lights were red and almost got you both in a car crash, that was it
“San, pull over now! I’m gonna drive”
“…okay”
- he was sulky the whole ride home, he just wanted to show you how well he could drive
- you made it up to him at home in ways he could never refuse…
 Mingi
Tumblr media
“Mingi stop pushing random buttons please, I need to concentrate”
“I’m sorry but I’m bored, where are you taking me?”
“You’ll see”
- after a while you arrived at a cliff
- you stayed inside the car, but you could see the sea, you were so close to the edge
“Woah, that’s pretty cool”
“Isn’t it? I saw it on Instagram and I thought this could be nice”
- you let down the windows and breathed the fresh sea air in
- after some time Mingi started playing some songs on his phone
- it didn’t take long for you two to start screaming the lyrics at the top of your lungs
 Wooyoung
Tumblr media
- this has been the most nerve wrecking day of your life
- a few days ago Wooyoung mentioned how much he missed his parents and his little brother so you suggested you two could visit them, which you just did
- you were incredibly nervous before but after a while you got used to the whole situation and felt quite comfortable
- now you were on your ride home, Wooyoung on the passenger’s seat
“You did amazing today, I love you”
“Really? Do you think your parents like me?”
“My dad loves you, he told me when you were in the kitchen and my mum is always savage, that’s how she shows affection, so yeah they both like you”
- relying on Wooyoung’s statement you could relax a little
“I love you Woo”
- while you were shifting gear Wooyoung put his hand over yours
 Jongho
Tumblr media
“You still awake?”
“Yeah just got home, are you alright Y/N?”
“Yes, I just wanted to see if you would come on a late night drive with me?”
“Always”
- 10 mins later you picked him up, he had a ton of snacks in his hands
- you spent the night with him feeding you various sweets and both of you singing along to the songs he played on his phone
- whenever he got really into a song you loved looking at him because he was so immersed and his eyes were closed

Tumblr media
Although you had woken up a few times gasping in fear and sweating, when you had left the warehouse, you felt rested. Taehyung had joined the unit and as you walked through the waking up city with a scarf around your face and four strong and dangerous men escorting you, you felt safe. The plan was to walk to an extraction point where one of Taehyung’s connections would be waiting with a vehicle to take you to the next point, Red Hawk. Jungkook walked in front of you, his eyes and ears alert as were the other men. Behind you was Yoongi. He wore a snapback so that his hair didn’t draw too much attention. As you walked through the crowd, you could feel your leg starting to hurt. You huffed as you tried to keep up, extending your hand just as Jungkook was looking back, you gripped his shirt tightly and he looked down, instead, taking your hand in his. You blushed.  “You’ll draw a lot more attention if you’re gripping my shirt like an endangered animal.” He said in a sharp tone. You pursed your lips, his grip on your hand tight as he pulled you along. His other hand hovering over his other side, just where his gun was. You walked for about half an hour before Taehyung was turning around.  They all stopped, but Jungkook didn’t let go of your hand.  “Ok, this is it, we have one car, they gave us armory and supplies, we have a six-hour drive, taking the more secluded highways before we have to ditch the car and walk.” Jungkook nodded and Taehyung resumed walking. As you followed you were in an alley, a black jeep waiting for you with a few armed men around it.  As you approached, Taehyung greeted them, they all nodded as they watched over your group, Hoseok took the driver’s seat, Yoongi the passenger and Jungkook got in the car, pulling you along with him, soon after, Taehyung got in shutting the door.  “Let’s move.” He said and Hoseok was driving off.  After a few minutes of silence and Taehyung handing Hoseok a map with the path drawn, Yoongi spoke.  “How long before the news spreads?” He asked.  “There is no way to access that. All I know is that Red Hawk, Seamore and Armstrong are still reliable,” Jungkook said, void of emotion.  “Of course they’re reliable, they would never not be reliable, Jungkook.” Taehyung sounded offended. Jungkook didn’t respond.  “Jungkook, you should get some rest, you haven’t slept in two days,” Hoseok said, and only then you noticed that your hands were still intertwined.  “I’m fine.” He said.  “You know damn well that she needs you with all your attention and senses sharp, fucking sleep,” Hoseok argued. Your grip around Jungkook tightened, making him look at you.  “I’ll be ok.” You whispered at him and he sighed, giving up, resting his head back he pulled your hand onto his lap along with his. That was his insurance that you wouldn’t disappear while he rested.  “Wake me up in an hour.” He said and the rest of the unit was silent. In less than a few minutes, Jungkook was fast asleep.  You looked ahead at the road, your head void of thought as you pushed the fact that you had to come up with something for when you got to the safe house.  You had an idea of who could be behind these attacks, of who would have been the culprit of it all, and if you were right, the only way of making sure this would end, would be exposing everything, even your father. As you tried your best not to think about it, Taehyung’s voice brought you back. “So...” He started. “Are you feeling better?” He asked, and even if you knew that for some reason Taehyung cared about you, you knew there was a deeper meaning to his question.  “Uh, yeah, as much as I can be.” You answered honestly.  “I’m sure Jungkook is going to take good care of you.” The man said, looking to see if that elicited a reaction from you. You were quiet for a while... After everything that had happened, you felt safe with Jungkook and you knew he would do everything in his power to keep you safe you just wondered why. What could he possibly owe Phillip to make him go through all this trouble for someone he barely knew? You looked back at your intertwined hands.  “Oh, I know that look, that’s doubt,” Taehyung said, and you looked at him. “Sweetheart, Jungkook is... A difficult man, he has many demons and many scars, but he is a man of integrity.” Taehyung said, looking out the window again.  “I don’t doubt he is a man of integrity.” Your voice was low.  “And besides, I would be quite inclined to protect you at any cost too if you hung onto me for dear life like that, it does things to a man you know?” He looked back at you a brow quirked up and a smirk on his face.  “Tae, shut up,” Yoongi said, but you missed the shared glace between him and Hoseok. When silence took over, you felt your sleep-deprived body start to take over, and you slowly fell asleep. With your hand on Jungkook’s, you slept with no interruption, only waking up after a few hours to the sound of his voice. “So, you’re telling me that you’re not hypnotized by the power of pussy?” Hoseok questioned, you heard them clearly but didn’t open your eyes, you noticed your head was rested on Jungkook lap, you couldn’t remember when you had moved, but it felt good regardless.  “Hobi, can you please stop saying that kind of shit?” Jungkook argued.  “Oh, come one, we can see you, man,” Hoseok said. “Helping her through her breakdown, killing a man for just hinting at the idea of killing her, she’s sleeping on your lap as we speak, your fingers are tangled together.” Hoseok didn’t seem annoyed, he just wanted to make Jungkook admit that he was taking the job personally now. “If you tell me you have done this for other protection jobs, I’ll drop it.” Jungkook was silent. Was he giving you special treatment? You wondered with your eyes closed.  “I just want her to feel safe, she’s been through enough, she’ll be traumatized for life,” Jungkook said.  “Ah-ha! I knew it, the fucking power of pussy, man.” Hoseok chuckled in the driver’s seat.  “Hobi has a point, Kook, I mean, you’re clearly taking this personally and to be honest, we don’t mind, but remember that when the job is over she goes back to being a politician and we go back to... Well, war.” Yoongi added. “Just don’t let it get too serious, it could compromise the whole operation.” He said.  You furrowed your brows, not understanding what they meant, but even the slightest movement was enough for Jungkook’s attention to shift to you.  “She’s awake.” He said, and the car fell silent.  “Rise and shine, pretty bird.” You heard Taehyung’s voice. Fluttering your eyes, you looked up at Jungkook, his same dark eyes looking back at you.  “Hi.” You said and once again he didn’t answer.  “We’re almost there, you should drink some water, take your meds,” He said, and you nodded, slowly getting up and sitting back in your spot. You looked at the men in the car, all of them quiet and you noticed Jungkook’s hand had let go of yours, it felt cold all of a sudden and you rested it on your lap.  As you drank water and took your meds you avoided Jungkook. Maybe he was making this personal and maybe he regretted it.  “So, Y/N, any boyfriend back in at home?” Yoongi questioned, and you almost choked on your water. Closing the flask and wiping your mouth, you stuttered.  “U-uh, no... I never had the time to think about dating after my second year of college.” You said.  “But you surely had some fun for two years?” Hoseok wiggled his eyebrows. You chuckled, looking away.  “I guess, you know, frat parties and sorority ones,  I had my good share of... Experience.” You felt Jungkook shift beside you but didn’t look. “Must be intimidating for men to date the president’s daughter,” Yoongi said.  “Oh, yeah... It was difficult trying to bring a boy back to my dorm when I had five security guards walking with me every second of my day.” Hoseok made a face and Taehyung chuckled. Jungkook didn’t move a muscle, he knew what they were doing.  “Is American college life just like the movies?” Taehyung asked.  “To some sort, only there is a lot more alcohol poisoning and people getting pregnant.” You shrugged. The three men laughed.  “Jesus, imagine if a frat boy got the president’s daughter pregnant.” Yoongi mused.  “I took good care of myself, and besides, I stopped hooking up with people when I got into my second year, I had a goal set and I just tried hard to reach it.” You thought back to those days, they were quiet and calm. No imminent danger surrounding you. If only the girl you were back, then knew what you’d be going through now.  “Interesting, so you’ve graduated in what major?” Yoongi asked.  “I haven’t graduated yet, I’m in my last year, I graduate in six months... Well, if I ever get the chance to.” The conversation took a depressing turn, and the car went silent.  “You’ll get the chance to,” Taehyung said, lips pursed in a shy smile.  After what seemed like an hour, Hoseok slowed down the car. “We’re here.” Jungkook’s voice brought you back.  Hoseok parked the car behind an abandoned gas station and you got out. The sky was cloudy and even if it was hot, the lack of sun made it easier to endure the heat.  Jungkook made sure you had everything you needed before he was gearing up, he took a black rifle gun from the drunk and slung it across his body, the other did the same, tying his camo long-sleeved shirt around his head he was dressed in a light brown shirt that hugged his body slightly, you tried to look away, but you suddenly wanted to know what he looked like underneath. As they all finished gearing up the men rounded around Jungkook.  “Ok, Hoseok will lead us for the first couple of hours, then Yoongi, and when the sun sets, we make camp. Eyes sharp, we have no vehicles, if we’re ambushed we engage with full power, protect her at any cost.” You gulped down. “Ok, little dove, time to go,” Jungkook said, looking at you before he was walking off. A similar formation from before settled, only Hoseok was now leading and Taehyung was behind Yoongi, Jungkook was in front of you following Hoseok.  The heat seemed to swallow you for the first three hours. Your eyes were low and heavy as you walked limping behind Jungkook. Then, as your body released sweat, the air that rushed through the desert cooled you down.  The whole walk was silent, and you had time to think about everything.  Your father was a loyal man, honest and kind. But he had friends in power that weren’t and being kind-hearted, he believed that people could change. When one of his closest friends decided to run for the next election four years ago, your father felt betrayed. Of course, he didn’t win and your father secured his position. But that came with a cost. Jefferson Jhon was a petty man, and he lifted campaigns and spread lies and tried his best to taint your father’s reputation as if he had forgotten what your father had done for him in the past. Jefferson was a wealthy man, he owned several business companies and had an estimated annual income of around 2 billion dollars. He tried to buy people around him to help bring your father down, but your father had a card under his sleeve.  It was probably one of those nights where men of Wallstreet would hire prostitutes, snort cocaine, and spend the cash made out of the backs of desperate people. He tried to make a girl do something even though she wasn’t a prostitute, just an employee. She said no; he got angry; he choked her to death in a drug neurotic rage. The police were surely called and you still remember the phone ringing in the dead of night when you were just a teenager. The skinny man being brought to the Whitehouse by the police while your security made sure he was taken away. Your father did his best o hide it, making sure that the woman’s family was taken care of financially and that Jefferson got clean in exchange for the favor. It was headlined for a long time in the media since in the end, she was the daughter of an economist college professor and eventually; it was ruled a cold because of the lack of evidence. But you didn’t know all that because you saw everything go down that night, or because your father told you. No, you heard your father bring it up in a meeting Jefferson had called with him to try to bully your father into submission. You were standing by the door, ready to storm in and scream at the man that was bringing so much stress to your father, instead, stopping in your tracks. You felt ashamed of your father, ashamed for him doing such a thing, it took a few years for you to get over it, but you still remember Jefferson’s venomous laced words.  “I will fucking destroy you, do you hear me, I will take everything you love away from you, I will fucking destroy you.” He threatened.  A while after that, you decided you needed to make a difference in politics, studying so that you could be someone just as important as your father, just as influential, and soon you were taking on small diplomatic meetings on his behalf.  You didn’t let what you knew go by without confronting your father about it. And you remember that day as if it were yesterday.  “And you call yourself a man of integrity, where is your integrity, dad?” You shouted at him.  “Y/N, I understand your concern, but you have to understand that it was the choice I decided to make back then and one I regret most deeply, but that now can make things very bad not just for Jefferson, but for both of us.” He reasoned.  “I don’t care, dad! He killed a woman! And you covered for him! That makes you an accomplice, and your hands are just as dirty with blood as his hands are.” You swallowed back the tears that threatened to leave you.  Your father sighed, shoulders slumping down.  “You’re right...” He said, defeated. “I’ll have my people prepare a statement and we’ll make this right.” He said, and you nodded at him.  “Good.” Was all you said before you left the room.  A month later you were off to the diplomatic trip your father had set up last minute, one that was very important to you since it was an environmental cause. You had been in your temporary home for almost a month before everything happened. So your only conclusion was that Jefferson had found out about your father writing the public statement, one that you had read and known the lines very well. ‘My brave, just and loyal daughter convinced me that if I were truly a man of kindness, I should no longer allow this cruel act go unpunished, even if cost me my own position.’ That was enough for Jefferson to know you were a threat as well, and he fought hard to eliminate any trace of it. How he could do it without being discovered was what you wondered. But you knew that there were few people in this world that couldn’t be bought, and if he was willing to pay a year of his company’s profits for your head, you knew that people’s silence cost a lot less. “You’re pretty quiet, everything ok?” Yoongi’s voice brought you back from your thoughts.  You huffed, feet digging into the sand as you struggled to walk.  “I think I know who’s behind this.” You said, and all eyes shot in your direction.  “Who?” Taehyung questioned.  You tilted your head to the side.  “If I tell you, then your head will be worth 1.5 billion dollars.” You said, and somehow, that made Yoongi laugh.  “I mean, even if I don’t want to die, I’m pretty curious,” Taehyung said.  You looked up at Jungkook, his sweat dripping down his chin and the shirt around his head soaked.  “You don’t have to say anything if you don’t want to.” He said, his face slightly flushed from walking so long.  “As crazy as it sounds, I trust you all.” You said, and Hoseok smiled back at you.  “So, come on, tell us who’s going through so much trouble to have you killed.” Yoongi sounded anxious.  “Jefferson John.” You said, and Taehyung laughed.  “Isn’t that cliche?” He mused. “The president’s adversary.”  “My father had dirt on him, dirt that would not only make him not be able to run, but go to jail.” You said as a strong sting erupted through your leg, all four stopped walking as you hissed in pain. You felt your own sweat soak your tank top as you looked at them.  “It’s ok, let’s keep going.” You assured, and they resumed walking.  They waited for you to continue.  “When I enrolled in college, I overheard a conversation they had and found out about it. A few months ago I convinced my father to make a public statement about it and he must have found out.” You told them.  Jungkook hummed.  “Jesus, what kind of dirt did your father have on him? Was he laundering money or something?” Hoseok asked.  “Worse.” Your voice came out weaker.  “Worse? Did he kill someone?” You went quiet. And that was enough answer they needed.  “Holy shit.” Hoseok cursed, taking in the information.  “You’re the only one alive that knows?” Jungkook questioned.  “I think so... everyone I know that could have known is dead.” Your voice was low now.  It was quiet for a while before Yoongi spoke.  “How is he going to make sure no one knows he was the one that caused the hit?”  “You can make anything seem like a terrorist attack with the right amount of money.” Taehyung pitched in. The rest of the group giving him a knowing look. “He must have hired a private contractor, like Phillips. Although I doubt Phillip would do such a thing, we don’t kill innocent people.” Hoseok said.  “It doesn’t matter, what matters is that she’s the only one that can make this right,” Jungkook said.  Soon, everyone went quiet and as the hours went by, you felt your legs ache in pain, your head woozy and eyes fluttering. You were tired, too tired. Your body suddenly gave out as you tripped and fell onto the sand, just as quickly as your hands met the sand, two bodies where by your side.  “Are you ok?” Jungkook’s asked, lifting your face to look at him, voice stern and worried.  “Jungkook, she’s been walking in the heat for the past five hours, what do you think?” Yoongi said beside you. Jungkook looked at the man, bringing his watch into view and looking around.  “We have an hour till sundown, I would suggest we move till then it’s not safe to make camp during the daylight, we can be spotted.” He said looking back at Yoongi.  “She’s pale, her lips are cracked, her wound is bleeding through the fabric and she isn’t fucking like us. She needs rest now or do you want to fucking carry her for the next hour?” Yoongi said, irritated. Jungkook was silent, answering Yoongi’s question.  “Oh, you have to be fucking kidding me.” Your eyes were heavy, and you tried to focus on Jungkook, you blink a few times and felt the water being spread on your lips.  “Drink.” He said, and you obeyed, drinking down the water he was giving you. As soon as he was done, he put the flask away. “Ok, little dove, up.” He said helping your body up and pulsing it onto his back, you wrapped your hands around his neck, while he held onto your thighs, his hand dangerously close to your wound. You hissed in pain as he stretched the skin.  “Hold on to me, we’ll rest soon.” Was all he said, ignoring your hiss.  Jungkook’s body was toned, you could feel his muscles flexing under your body while looking down onto his strong hands that held your legs in place. Your hands wrapped lazily around his sweaty neck and your chin rested over your arm, your face mere inches from his. You were quiet as you felt your cheeks blush at how your body was flush against his, he would probably feel your heat against his back and the thought alone made you blush harder.  “If you’re right about Jefferson, the only way he’s going to stop is if you’re dead or if you tell the world the truth,” Jungkook said in a low voice, so only you could hear.  “I know.” You said quietly.  You rested comfortably on top of Jungkook, watching as the sun started to set and the sky turn blue. Suddenly he stopped, putting you down and looking around. The other stopped too. You noticed your clothes were soaking in your sweat and his.  “Ok, this seems good, let’s set up camp,” Jungkook announced.  There were two tents and as Hoseok and Taehyung put them together Yoongi was helping Jungkook with the portable stove. You looked at the men working, feeling useless once again.  “Hey Y/N, come here,” Taehyung called. You walked in his direction. “Help me out with this, will you?” He asked, even though he seemed to know how to do it himself.  There was the crazy aura about Taehyung, as if he always knew the right things to say. You smiled softly at him in a silent ‘thank you’ and helped him put the tent together. You watched as Yoongi and Jungkook stripped from their shirts, a gasp being trapped between your lips. Taehyung chucked, you looked back at him in embarrassment.  “We’re all human here... little dove”. He teased, and you bit your lower lip.  You didn’t know why Jungkook called you that, but you knew you liked it ever since he had said it back in Gallaticus. It had felt endearing and made you feel calmer.  “Heads up,” Taehyung warned before you turned around and faced a shirtless Jungkook. You almost squealed when your eyes met his toned abs. It was just as you had imagined, slim and toned and his skin honey-kissed. He had a few scars here and there. But it somehow made him even more appealing.  “Lost anything down there?” Jungkook tilted his head to the side, and you looked up at him, cheeks blushing. He lifted an eyebrow, waiting for your answer, but your mouth opened and closed several times and nothing came out.  “Nevermind. This is your tent, I’ll be with you while you sleep and I’ll take rounds with Yoongi, is that ok with you?” He asked, and you nodded.  “Good, we’re gonna heat up some food, try to change into something dry, it get’s really fucking cold at night.” He said before walking away. You looked back at Taehyung he had an amused look on his face.  “That went perfect, sweetheart.” You rolled your eyes at him and walked into the tent, bringing your bag along with you. You changed into dry clothes, walking out as the light of the day now was almost gone. There wasn’t a fire, but a yellow light in the middle of the men. You furrowed your brows as you noticed the cans heating up in the portable stove.  “Fluorescent light,” Hoseok answered your silent question. “Drones can’t see it, satellites can’t see it, and conveniently enough, it shoos the bugs away.” The wind was now just a light breeze as the temperature dropped. You sat beside Yoongi, across from Jungkook and Taehyung, Hoseok in the middle of the four of you, handling the stove.  “You hungry?” Yoongi asked, and you nodded.  He gave you a soft smile. “You know, when we started this, I thought you’d be one of those spoil brats that complain about everything.” He said while he leaned in and grabbed one of the cans, wrapping a shirt around the bottom. “Careful, it’s hot.” He handed it over to you and you took it, using the plastic spork.  “I don’t know if I am a brat, I hope I’m not, I’m smarter than to complain about worthless things when my life is in danger.” You say, and the boy’s hum. “Besides, you’re all going through hell and risking your lives to make sure I’m safe. Why would I put you in any more stress?”  “I know a few other jobs that didn’t really care before,” Yoongi said and Hoseok seconds it.  “You kinda are a brat.” Everyone looked at Jungkook, that was concentrated on his food. He looked up, noticing everyone’s stare. “You kinda are.” He shrugged, spork playing with his food. “How am I a brat?” You asked. You couldn’t contain the amused smile on your face. “Well, do you remember in the car before we were attacked. You said this thing about if I had a sad childhood story and if that was the moment, I’d tell it. I was really close to punching you.” He said, and you laughed, making him look at you.  “Well, you’re irritating sometimes. Also, I only thought about the sad childhood story because of that scar you have on your cheek.” You ate without really paying attention to the taste.  He shuffled on his spot, raising an eyebrow. “How do you think I got this scar?” He asked you before looking over at the other men that watched your conversation with amusement.  You slowly sucked on the spoon to get all the sauce off while you thought. You didn’t notice, but all four eyes glinted.  “Childhood bully, foster parents...” You hummed, letting the spork go with a pop, Jungkook’s eyes were darker than before. “Something sad and tragic.” You shrugged and looked back at your can.  Everyone was silent for a while, and when you looked up Jungkook blinked a couple of times.  “My older brother and I had a fight over who was going to play on the computer, I lost. I have no sad childhood story, I had a pretty amazing childhood and my parents were the fucking best.” He said putting down the can and taking his flask.  “Were? Are they...?” You questioned, and he shook his head.  “No, but they think I am, have for the past few years.” Jungkook looked at you and shrugged.  “Oh, I’m sorry.” You said focusing back on your can, where you played with the food. “Can I know why?” You asked, and it was Hoseok’s turn to speak.  “Y/N, when you’re in our line of work, it’s better to not have people you care about in your life, they can easily be used as leverage.” You bit on your lower lip in understanding.  You suddenly saw Taehyung take something out of his jacket, it was a metal flask.  “Is that alcohol?” You asked and Taehyung wiggled his eyebrow, opening it and taking a swing, making a face right after.  “You think I was going to spend almost two days in the desert on a mission I don’t know if I’m gonna come back alive from and not bring alcohol?” You laughed and saw him pass it to Jungkook. He took a swing, to your surprise, making a face and you laughed.  He looked at you before passing it to Hoseok who did the same. When it got to you, you hesitated, eyes looking at Jungkook. “You’re taking meds.” He said and Taehyung scoffed.  “Oh come on Kook, it’s not like she’s going to get drunk from a few fucking swings,” Taehyung argued, taking the flask from Hoseok and shoving it in your hand. Jungkook sighed.  “You’re a bad influence, Tae.” He said, leaning back into his backpack, his legs spread open.  You took the flask and put it in your mouth, tipping it back. It tasted like brandy and not a good kind, but you didn’t complain, just allowed the burning sensations to go down your throat as you made a face.  “And you sound like her parent.” He said back, laughing.  “Oh, god, no, I used to call my father daddy when I was younger.” You joked, and the boys erupted in laughter, Jungkook chuckled. You laughed along with the boys, your eyes meeting Jungkook’s, he was looking at you with his lower lip tucked in his mouth, it made your skin buzz, the way he was looking at you and chuckle he let out when you blushed.  After a while, it started getting very cold and everyone decided it was time to call it a night. You got up and Jungkook followed you into the tent in silence.  “You know...” He started, taking out his gun and making sure it was loaded and ready to go if he needed it to be. “You look pretty when you smile.” He said it as if it was the most simple thing to say. You spun your head around to look at him. His eyes were still dark as before. Your cheeks blushed, and you looked away.  “T-thanks.” You said in a small voice, laying down on the hard floor, using your bag as a headrest. Jungkook hummed, watching as you laid. He turned off the light making everything pitch dark, the only light source was the moonlight shining through the clouds giving it all a blueish hue.  You heard him move, laying down a few inches away from you. You were shivering from the cold, your teeth hitting against one another even though you were using your jacket.  It was hard to sleep as your body shivered. You tried your best to calm your shivering, but after what seemed like half an hour, it felt pointless. Jungkook seemed to notice, his voice making you jump slightly in the darkness.  “Turn around.” He said, and you hesitated for a while before turning on your good side. Suddenly, you felt his arm come around your chest and pull you into his body; he was spooning you, your whole body flush against his and he was warm, so warm. Your shaking got a bit better, but it was still there. As you tried not to move so that he could get some rest while Yoongi took watch, his voice was just by your ear.  “Are you still cold?” He asked, something different laced in his words. You nodded, you wondered why he wasn’t shaking like you and then you remembered he must have done this a thousand times, spend the night in the desert. You jolted when you felt his hand snake it’s way inside your jacket, his rough, warm fingers caressing your skin gently, softly. The act made you unwillingly roll your hips back and Jungkook let out a huff of air, his fingers gripping your waist to hold you still.  You only then noticed that you had ground up against him, you blushed aggressively, not knowing how to apologize for it, but as you opened your mouth to speak his hand grazed the front of your stomach slowly, you gasped, clenching your stomach for how sensitive your felt. Once again, your hips rolled back into him. Suddenly, his other hand was under your head and around your mouth, your eyes opening and he was speaking again, whispering.  “Be quiet, little dove, I’m gonna get you warm.” He said in a husky voice and you melted into him from the nickname, your body betraying you as felt his hand come back and graze your back, all your hairs standing. You didn’t know why Jungkook was doing it, but you weren’t gonna ask him to stop. His touch was something you didn’t know you needed until now, and fuck did you need it. As he touched your skin, you felt the familiar dampness between your legs, a dull ache starting to grow. You turned into putty in his hands, your body reacting to the slightest of touch and he seemed to notice, he seemed to like it. You heard as his breathing started to become a little shallow, his hand only shifting from our stomach to your back, sometimes he would go further up your stomach, make you feel hope that he’d touch you anywhere sensitive, but he would come down again and back. Your hips rolled back again and this time, you felt it. The hard bulge between his legs, large and delicious. You rolled your hips back again, mind already taken over by lust. He gripped your hips, pushing himself into you and you whimpered, his other hand closing around your mouth to muffle it. You wanted to touch him, you wanted to feel how heavy he was in our hand, but he had other plans for you.  Gently, he grazed his warm fingers up your stomach, higher until he brushed the tip over one nipple. You felt just how wet you got from one simple brush of his fingers, arching your breast into his hand. His mouth was just by your ear, his breathing shallow as he explored you the way he wanted to. His lips grazed the back of your neck, but never moving. Suddenly he was grazing your nipple again, this time longer, harder. You bit down on his hand, a low moan escaping your lips before he finally massaged your breasts. You tried your best to stay quiet, silently whimpering into his hand as you rest your head back on him, it felt so good; he was so good with his hand on your breasts, you could only imagine how good he was somewhere else. And as if he could read your mind, his hand started tracing lower, lower, lower until he breached the hem of your pants. The anticipation was agonizing as you couldn’t see him, only feel. As he grazed his fingers lower, he didn’t hesitate. Hand coming down to slowly cup your heat, your legs parted a little, your body moving and you could almost face him now, but he still didn’t allow you to, the touch of his hand over your core was making small electric shocks go all through your body and when he pushed two fingers to breach your lips and bring them up your folds to your clit, you moaned and he cursed.  “Fuck...” He cursed in a whisper. “You’re fucking soaked.” His lips were on your ear. You couldn’t speak, mind hazy on how desperate you were for him to touch you. Suddenly your back was shoved to the ground, the hand over your mouth beside your head and the other still on your core. You opened your eyes, looking up at him. His eyes were dark, so dark that they could eat you alive. You were flushed, eyes but slits, lips humid and swollen from how much you were biting on them, and the whole picture was making Jungkook lose it. He once again slid his fingers between your lips, from your quivering hole up to your clit and your mouth hung open, no sound coming out. You knew better than to let the others know what you two were doing in there. Jungkook started rubbing gentle circles on your clit, shushing you when he heard you whimper. Your legs opened wider to give him more access, he watched your every reaction, the way your chest rose and fell, your hole clenched around nothing, he knew he was making you feel good. The delicious way he rubbed you was haunting, you were so sensitive and deprived that you already felt a trace of an orgasm in the back of your mind. Jungkook bit his lower lips, trying to contain his own groan, his erection painfully hard in his pants, and when he slid back down and pushed two fingers in gently you arched your back, he leaned down, resting on his elbow as he put his hand over your mouth.  Having him over your body like that was a lot, maybe too much, and the way he was mere inches from your covered lips made you want to kiss him. He started a slow pace of his fingers, in and out, curling as they went out and rubbing at your sweet spot, again and again, his thumb rubbed circles in your clit as he slowly fucked you with his fingers. Your hands came up to grab onto the arm around your mouth, fingers digging into them. He hissed, resting his forehead on yours, eyes never looking away. When you started clenching, you felt your orgasm approach you at an impending speed; he noticed, biting harder on his lower lip.  “I got you, little dove, let go.” He said, and you rolled your eyes back, hips moving along with his rhythm. Soon enough your eyes flashed white. The tingling sensation started from the tip of your toes and rolled in a rush all the way through your body, an electric shock that made you clench violently around his fingers and arch your back into him. You couldn’t control your sounds, whimpering wildly into his hand, he pressed his palm down harder, his head diving into your neck to try to muffle your sounds. He rode it out, his pace slow and gently and when your breathing started getting regular again, he pulled his fingers out, leaning back on his elbow, his eyes trained on your hazy post-orgasm ones. You looked at him with bliss in your eyes, cheeks flushed and a fucked out expression that he took a mental picture of. He brought his cum-soaked fingers up and into his mouth, your mouth opening up in a gasp and his brows furrowing in sweet, sweet torture. As he sucked his fingers clean, he leaned his other hand back down, one on each side of your face. You two were in silence, eyes locked. He eyes your body once, sighing in satisfaction before looking back at you.  “Time to sleep.” He said when he noticed you were no longer shivering. You blinked a couple of times before he moved back to his spot, pulling your body into his like before.  You wanted to help him with his erection; you knew he had one; you had felt it; you whined, and he shushed you, making you go quiet. “You’re warm now, sleep.” Even if you thought you would never be able to fall asleep after that, you proved yourself wrong when you were fast asleep not even ten minutes later.  When you woke up, the sun was starting to rise. Your eyes fluttered, you were on your back looking up at the tent ceiling and you turned your face to the side where another face looked back at you.  “Hi there,” Yoongi said, smiling at you. It seemed innocent, but deep down it also had something with it, almost like a teasing tone. As you smiled back at him and got up, you felt a weird dampness between your legs and everything came rushing back. Your eyes slightly bulged and your cheeks flushed, you had let Jungkook finger you yesterday, not just that, you had let Jungkook finger you and give you a mind-blowing orgasm just with that, his fingers. You got up in a rush, grabbing your things and leaving the tent. “Good morning to you too,” Yoongi yelled from inside.  On the outside was the rest of the unit. Hoseok was packing the portable stove and Taehyung was working on undoing the tent. Your eyes searched for Jungkook and you saw him, sitting on a rock, shirtless, said shirt around his head as he checked the rifles. His eyes met yours for a split second and you looked away.  “Morning, did you sleep well?” Hoseok asked while he walked in your direction. The question seemed genuine.  “Y-yeah, very well, you?” You asked, stuttering as you played with the strap of your backpack.  “Meh, you know, as well you can sleep on the hard floor.” He shrugged.  You glanced at Jungkook, his eyes on you for a split second before his attention was on the guns again.  You needed to distract yourself. Walking towards Taehyung, you decided to help him with the tents. After you had helped Taehyung and everything was packed, Jungkook approached you all.  “Ok, we’re moving out.” His voice was hard and stern, and he barely acknowledged you.  You all walked in silence, a very awkward silence. Taehyung in front, Jungkook behind him, you in the middle and Yoongi and Hoseok came after. You couldn’t help look up at Jungkook, his bare back flexing now and then as he moved. God, why was he so attractive? It made everything harder. You came to the conclusion that God had given you a force task unit from hell. Devil-like killer supermodels. You hated god.  As you walked for the next few hours, no one spoke and as much as it wasn’t an unusual thing for you all to be quiet, after what had happened during the night, you were overthinking a lot.  The quiet spell was broken by no other than Yoongi.  “So, Y/N, you seem pretty well rested.” He said with a teasing tone to his voice. You looked back at him, brows furrowed.  “Yoongi, shut up,” You heard Jungkook spit out, but he didn’t look back.  ”What? I’m just asking her an innocent question” He raised an eyebrow and smirked.  “I slept pretty well, I guess I was tired.” You said, still walking.  “Oh? So, you probably must have blown out some steam, huh?” He teased and this time Jungkook stopped walking. Looking back at the white-haired man.  “Yoongi, I swear if you don’t shut the fuck up, I’m going to shoot you in the foot.” Jungkook had his teeth clenched. The whole unit stopped walking.  “Is there something I’m missing?” Hoseok piped in.  Yoongi looked at him and back at Jungkook.  “I don’t know, Hobi, why don’t you ask lover boy over there.” Yoongi teased.  “Oh my god.” You groaned and put both hands over your face. Of course, Yoongi had heard you.  “What the fuck are you talking about, Yoongi?” It was Taehyung’s turn to question.  “Oh, come on, we’re all adults here, no need to act like a teenager and pretend you two didn’t fuck yesterday,” Yoongi said looking from Jungkook to you.  “Wait, you fucked her?” Hoseok asked, a lopsided smile on his face.  You didn’t know where to hide.  “I did not fuck her,” Jungkook argued.  “Jungkook, if your dick was inside her, you fucked her.” Yoongi nodded.  “Yoongi, oh my god, shut up.” It was your turn to speak. Eyes bulged, cheeks red.  “I heard you two!” He spat back at you and Jungkook.  “We did not fuck!” You said.  “Oh, so you’re telling me I didn’t hear her orgasm last night?” You once again hid your face in your hand. Taehyung and Hoseok amused by the whole thing.  Jungkook was silent. You looked back at him, waiting for him to deny it. He never did.  Yoongi opened his mouth in surprise you opened yours in outrage.  “Listen, I never said I didn’t make her cum, just that I didn’t fuck her.” Jungkook shrugged.  “Jungkook!” You yelled at him.  “What? A man gloats about his battles and his victories.” He smirked at you. Smirked. It was quiet as you gave Jungkook an outraged look.  “How d’you do it?” An unknown voice spoke and suddenly everyone moved, the sound of guns from the four men with you arming and ready to fire. When you looked at the owner of the voice he was covered in a camouflage outfit, one that would allow him to lay in the sand and not be seen. He didn’t even flinch at the guns pointed at him, instead, ignoring them. “Tongue?” He asked, and the men slowly rolled their eyes, putting the guns away with grunts and curses.  You looked around at them in confusion and back at the stranger.  “Fingers,” Jungkook answered, wiggling his fingers in the air. Your head spinning in his direction.  “Hot.” The short man smiled. He was blond, features soft, almost innocent. And dammit, he was gorgeous. One more to the Devil-like killer agenda.  “Shut up, Jimin, you just got here, you’re not entitled to details,” Yoongi said. Oh, so this was Jimin.  “I’m entitled to any information if I’m going to allow your stinky ass into my bunker.” He crossed his arms. You wondered why he was in the middle of the desert, but pushed that thought away as you noticed this conversation had gone too far.  “No one is entitled to shit as long as it regards my private parts!” You finally snapped and all five heads turned to you. “Now, shut the fuck up about it before I shoot you all in the foot.” You looked at each of them, including Jungkook, that had a dark look on his face then back to Jimin. He had an amused smile on his.  “I like her, Kook.” He said and walked towards you. “Jimin.” He said, extending his hand. You took it, the irritation in you fading away slightly.  “Nice to meet you.” You said. “Oh, Yoongi, Hoseok, and Taehyung all bet that you’d take some job, something about low pay.” He squinted, hand still shaking yours as he looked around at the men. The three mentioned looking at you with outrage.  ”What are my odds?" He asked, eyebrows rising in curiosity. “Two to one.” You said, and he finally let go of your hand.  “Thanks for the tip.” He winked at you, walking back a few steps and tapping his foot twice on the sand. Only it made a metallic sound. You furrowed your brows in confusion. A hatch was lifted, and the men started moving, Jungkook passed you, turning his head in your direction. “Come on.” Was all he said as he went down the stairs.  Red Hawk was a bunker. But not just any bunker, it was a large military bunker with several armed soldiers and high technology equipment.  “Jesus, is there a war I’m unaware of?” You questioned more to yourself, but Jimin looked back at you as he walked down the low lit hallway.  “There is always a war where there is money involved.” He said.  You didn’t say anything, you were well aware that money was the main cause of war. You tried your best; you convince your father not to be one of those presidents. “How long are you staying and what do you need?” Jimin asked and Jungkook looked around at the men that stared back at the group of strangers walking down the hallway.  “Twenty-four hours and we need a car and ammo, the bullets Taehyung’s connection gave us are rusty, pretty sure they’re from the fifties,” Jungkook spoke.  “Hey, don’t complain,” Taehyung said. “It’s a humble town and mine are marked.” “Whatever.” Jungkook clapped back. “Ok, I have four rooms, one for her and the other tree for the rest, Yoongi and Hobi can share,” Jimin said, turning at the end of the hallway, walking into another one.  “No, she doesn’t stay alone,” Jungkook said, and Jimin stopped walking, looking back at him.  “Just stay with her,” Jimin said, a smile tugged on his lips. “Not like you two aren’t familiar with each other, anyway.”  Jungkook rolled his eyes as he showed you all the rooms, Taehyung and Yoongi went into their own, talking about how they needed showers and rest.  You got into yours; it was a simple bed, a table and a chair and a bathroom, the bathroom had a tower, a shower on the wall that had nothing around, a toilet and a sink. Looking around, you stepped in; you left your bag on the bed, watching as Jungkook spoke to Jimin and Hoseok lingered by their side.  “Do you trust your men?” Jungkook questioned, and Jimin sighed.  “You know damn well that I don’t trust anyone other than the seven,” Jimin answered. You tried not to eavesdrop, but it seemed rather hard when the matter was your safety.  “Ok, we keep watch around the hours, she doesn’t stay alone for a second with anyone other than us,” Jungkook ordered and Hoseok nodded. Jimin looked back at you and you looked away.  “How much are they paying you?” He asked, brows furrowed. Jungkook looked at him, a weird look on his face.  “I owed Philip.” He said and Jimin raised an eyebrow.  “But this isn’t about Philip anymore, is it?” He questioned, arms crossing over his chest.  Hoseok was the one that shook his head, Jimin let out a surprised chuckle. Jungkook didn’t answer. He shuffled on his feet in discomfort.  “Well, that settles it for me, if she’s a priority to you, she’s a priority to me,” no questions asked, Jimin said and Jungkook sighed, shoulders relaxing.  “Thanks, Chim, I owe you one,” Jungkook said lower, hand resting on the man’s shoulder.  “I’ll go arrange the things for tomorrow, we should go shoot after at the ring, catch up.” He said and Jungkook nodded.  As Hoseok went to his room, and Jungkook entered yours you avoided looking at him.  Not only were you still embarrassed about what had happened the night before, but you were also irritated that he had talked about it with the boys while you were right there.  “Are you hungry?” He questioned, you didn’t answer him while you took your clothes out of the bag, shoving it out. “Thirsty?” Once again you didn’t answer. “Come on, Y/N, are you going to give me the silent treatment?” He leaned against the door, arms crossed in front of him. It seemed familiar. You finally looked at him, his strong arms crossed over his chest, his rough fingers just resting there. You gulped.  “Yes.” Was all you answered as you looked back at your things.  “Look, if I didn’t play along they wouldn’t drop it, it was better this way, trust me,” Jungkook said and you looked at him again, irritation written all over your face.  “I don’t care about being teased by grown men acting like teenagers, Jungkook, I care that they all know I allowed you to finger fuck me in a tent in the middle of the fucking desert like a horny teenager while there is a price on my head.” You spat at him.  Jungkook was quiet for a while. He took a few steps into the room, you side-eyed him as he got closer. When he stopped just a few inches from you, you couldn’t ignore just how hard it was to breathe. The warmth radiating from his body brought back just how good you had felt the night before. He lifted his hand, touching your chin and turning your face towards him. “You’re cute when you act like a prude...” He whispered, lips too close for your sanity. “But you look even better when you cum.”  You whimpered. Body betraying you, as it was now very well addicted to Jungkook. The noise seemed to please Jungkook, a smirk showing on his lips.  “Take a shower, little dove, you need to change your bandages.” His voice was still laced with the same velvet it was before. Hypnotizing. You swallowed, eyes low while your tongue darted out to wet your lips, you nodded. “Good girl.” He let go of your chin, stepping away while he walked towards the door and closed it. He turned around, walking back and sitting on the chair across from you. You turned to him, lower lip stuck between your teeth. If he was going to play games with you, you could easily play along. You tugged off your jacket, eyes trained on him, he looked at you dangerously before you gripped the hem of your shirt and pulled it off, your bare breasts bouncing slightly, Jungkook inhaled, he had seen you bare before, but this time you wanted him to and he knew it. Pushing off your boots, you slowly pushed your camo pants down, allowing them to pool at your feet. You were now in your underwear and nothing else, only the bandages that wrapped around your thigh. Slowly, you stepped out of the pants and walked to him, his legs spread open as he leaned back in the chair. You stopped right between them, waiting.  Jungkook didn’t need to be told what to do as his hand snaked up your bare thigh and stopped at the base of the bandages, a shiver erupted through your body, slowly he started unwrapped you, agonizingly slow and you watched as your breath picked up, a heat going through your body. When he was done, he let the wraps drop to the floor, his hand resting on the side of your thigh. You stood there, still, eyes glossy and mind hazy as you had no control over how much you wanted him to touch you. Jungkook looked up at you, his eyes blown out as he saw your perked nipples. He rested both hands on each side of your legs, bringing them up slowly as he watched you. You bit down on your lower lip as a shiver went through your body, Hooking a finger on each side of your underwear he slowly pulled it down, noticing how the fabric stuck to your already damp folds, he shook his head as if he couldn’t believe his eyes as he helped you step out of them. He caressed your skin, his palms on your bare thighs as he memorized each curve. He pulled you in, making you straddle him as he sat you down on his lap, his lips hovering over yours and his eyes trained on them. He snuck a hand up, brushing the hair off your face.  “Do you need help in the shower, little dove?” His husky voice questioned, whispered. You nodded, and he nodded along, your hips starting to move on their own slightly.  “How could I ever say no to you,” He grazed his nose against yours, making you whine.  ”What is it, little dove, what do you want?" He cooed, hand caressing down our side, over your bare ass, going back down your thigh.  “K-kiss me, Jungkook.” You whispered, desperately.  Jungkook thought for a few seconds before he closed the gap between your lips.  His lips were warm, soft, molding to yours perfectly. Butterflies erupted in your stomach when you felt his tongue come out, you opened your mouth, allowing him to take control and deepen the kiss. It was hot all of a sudden, hotter than the desert. Kissing Jungkook was like fire, little explosions going on inside you simultaneously. The kiss got hungrier, his fingers digging into your skin as he pulled you in harder, breathy whimpers and low groans escaping the two of you, Suddenly he got up with you in his lap, walking into the bathroom without ever breaking the kiss. When the water hit your back you jolted in surprise, gasping into his mouth and he took the opportunity to bring his mouth down to your neck, kissing and sucking on your skin gently while you two got soaked in water. Jungkook’s clothes stuck to his body as he pressed you against the wall of the open bathroom. Holding your legs, he pressing your body against the wall, his hips rolled into your core, you moaned at the feeling.  “It’s like you want them to hear.” He said, smirking against your neck, you bit your lower lip, trying to hold in your moans. “Is that what you want? Do you want them to hear how I make you feel?” You whined again, unable to answer. The friction from his wet clothes against your core was making you ache. Jungkook let go of one of your legs, snaking his hand in between your bodies, two fingers sliding between your folds.  “Fuck, you’re soaked and I barely touched you, little dove.” He whispered against your ear. A loud whimper escaping you as you felt his fingers where you needed him the most. Throwing your head back against the wall, Jungkook pulled back, looking at you. He slid both fingers inside of you slowly, watching your eyes roll back and your mouth hang open, sinful whimpers leaving you. “You have no idea how bad I wanted to fuck you yesterday.” He admitted, between labored breathing. “So tight, clenching around my fingers so hard, must feel amazing to have you wrapped around my cock.” He trusted his fingers hard into you and you arched against them. You wanted to, you wanted to feel him inside of you, god you were desperate to.  “Jungkook.” You whined, feeling his fingers going in and out of you torturously.  “What is it, baby? Talk to me, little dove.” He cooed again.  “Please fuck me.” You begged, the coil in your gut so close to snapping. Jungkook didn’t need to be told twice as he slowly took his fingers out of you. The emptiness made you whimper. He shoves his soaking pants down only slightly, pulling his hard, veiny cock out. You looked down, watching him pump a few times, mouth watering and walls clenching. He was big, girthy, and you were anxious to feel him inside of you. He teased, sliding his cock between your lips and back, his whole length rubbing against your clit. When you squirmed in his hold, he was done teasing.  Jungkook aligned his tip with your entrance, grabbing onto both your hands and holding them above your head, his forehead resting against yours. The water that dripped down his soaked hair made him look even more breathtaking. Slowly he breached your lips, tip entering you torturously slow. Your eyes rolled back as he filled you up until he bottomed out, the stretch a lot more hard to take than his fingers, a groan left him as he furrowed his brows in pleasure. He was still for a while, allowing you to adjust to him, his eyes barely open as he himself was drunk with lust. He started a slow pace, hands gripping your wrists tight against the wall, hips grinding upwards into you as he watched the look of pure pleasure on your face, his mouth slightly open, you clenched hard around him, a groan escaping him as he bucked into you hard, hips snapping. You moaned, high pitched at the feeling of him going so deep inside of you.  He picked up his pace, fucking you so deliciously you didn’t know how long you’d last, he couldn’t go too fast otherwise, he’d hurt you, but he was good at controlling his movements.  “You feel so fucking good, so fucking addicting.” He spoke between breathy groans. “It’s like this pussy was made just for me.” He added.  As you clenched hard at his words, Jungkook lost his cool, letting go of your hands and holding your body again, hips snapping up at an unforgiving pace. You were gone, the feeling of him going in and out of you, the stretch so good, feeling so full, you felt the first sign of your orgasm, whimper picking up.  Jungkook seemed to notice as you started to feel tighter around him. He ground into you again and again, hitting that sweet spot that made you finally snap. Squirming and shaking around him, your orgasm hit you hard, Jungkook held on to your body to try to keep you steady but the violent clenching around his length was too much for him, he stilled inside of you, his release spilling out and painting your walls as he came with a throaty groan, his lips crashing into yours to kiss you messily. As you both came down from your high, Jungkook pulled out and gently placed you on the floor, only then noticing the blood dripping down your leg.  “Fuck..” He cursed. “I’m sorry.” You chuckled, still hazy from your high, He pulled his soaked pants back up.  “It’s ok, it doesn’t hurt.” You said in a small voice, Jungkook looked at you, a satisfied yet small smile on his lips, he leaned in, kissing you softly and taking your breath away. “Clean up, I’ll ask Jimin if he can get someone to look at it.” You nodded, drunk on his taste.  Jungkook gave you another kiss, hesitant to leave, but he did, clothes soaking wet as he made his way out of the bathroom.  You finished your shower, now and then blushing and biting your lip at the memory of what had just happened. You couldn’t deny the massive crush you had developed for him. Heart fluttering like a teenage girl at the thought. After you finished, you wrapped yourself in the towel and left the bathroom, blood still sliding down your leg, outside you were met with Hoseok, he had a teasing grin on his lips.  You tried to hide your blush, but he didn’t let that slide.  “Now you can’t deny that you two fucked.” He teased.  “Oh, bite me, Hoseok.” You rolled your eyes as you took your clothes and went back to the bathroom, hearing him laugh as you closed the door.  You tried your best to clean the blood, but it stubbornly dripped down your thigh, ruining the towel and your clothes. Eventually, you got out, the door to the room open as Jimin, Hoseok, and Jungkook spoke, Jungkook was wearing dry clothes now, black cargo pants ad boots and a black shirt that hugged his body perfectly. He looked so fucking hot. Jungkook looked at you as you approached. “Jimin and Hoseok are going to take you to the medical center they have here, make sure your wound is closed and healing, I have to take care of a few things it’ll take about half an hour and we can go have some food,” You were still blushing, cheeks slightly red as you nodded at him, he brought one hand up to put a lock of hair behind your ear, a soft smile on his lips.  “I’ll be back before you know it.” He said, and you smiled at him.  “Ok.” You said, and he walked away, leaving you, Hoseok, and Jimin in awkward silence.  “So, they fucked,” Jimin said, Hoseok nodded.  “Yep.” He let out.  “Shut up.” You spat at both of them.  Jimin and Hoseok lead you to the medical center, it was more like a small room with a medical stretcher and medical supplies. Inside was a woman.  “This is Ashe. She did four years of medical school before she joined the army, then joined us. She’s going to take a look at your wound, Hoseok will stay here with you, I have to go meet up with Jungkook.” You nodded at them and looked back at her.  “Hi,” You said shyly.  “Hey, you must be Raven.” She smiled back at you. You nodded. “Where is the wound?” She questioned. “Back of my left thigh, yeah, I think it opened, doesn’t stop bleeding.” You informed her, she nodded, walking back to a surgery table and putting on some gloves.  “Can you take off your pants and lie down on the stretcher, please?” She asked, and you looked at Hoseok. He rolled his eyes before he closed the door to give you some privacy.  As you shoved your pants down and let it hang on a chair, you got on the stretcher, turning on your side.  Ashe hissed when she saw the wound. “This looks painful.” She said, and you chuckled.  “I’m starting to get used to it.”  “How’d this happen?” She sounded curious as she prepared some cotton to clean the wound.  “I was shot.” Was all you answered.  “Yeah, I can tell, looks like you were running when it happened.” You hummed, not wanting to give away too much information, even if Ashe seemed nice. She started cleaning your wound. It still hurt like hell, but less now. You only hissed at the pain. Body cringing as you bit on your palm to try to make the pain bearable.  After what seemed like twenty minutes, she spoke.  “So, how is it you have the most dangerous men in charge of your security?” She asked, she was sowing your wound shut, eyes focused. You knew you shouldn’t talk about it, so you made something up.  “I’m paying them very well.” You said, and she scoffed, getting up.  It took you a few seconds to notice when she locked the door. The handle turning as outside, Hoseok also noticed.  “Yeah, I’m pretty sure they’re being paid very fucking well.” Ashe’s voice changed significantly in intention.  “Raven!” Hoseok shouted outside.  “What are you doing?” You asked as you sat up, crawling back and trying to get a good distance between the two of you. She looked at the surgery tray, all types of sharp scalpels before she took one.  “Retiring.” She said before she began to close the distance between the two of you, you screamed Jungkook’s name, throwing at her anything you could find behind you. That only detoured her for a few seconds, as you could hear Hoseok trying to bring the door down. As she launched herself forward on top of you, you rolled to the side, dropping to the floor and kicking the stretcher on her. She stumbled back but quickly jumped over it. You crawled back until you had your back against the wall. She walked in your direction, calmed, as now she could get to you with no trouble. As she stopped in front of you, she crouched down. This was it, you were going to die.  First, three shots were heard. She turned her face towards the door as it swung open, turning to you and stabbing the scalpel on your shoulder. You screamed in pain and next, one last shot, the blood splattering all around you and on you; you opened your eyes to see her head half-open, eyes void of any life as she lolled to the side and fell. Your hand came shakily up to your face and to where the scalpel was stabbed into your skin, there were silent tears rolling down your eyes as you shook violently, there was blood all over, yours, hers. And your view was blurry. You looked up; you saw all five of them, and the one with the gun still pointed at where the woman used to be, Jungkook. Suddenly, you felt weak, so, so weak and tired. Your eyes fluttered.  “Jungko...” You didn’t finish before you were losing consciousness, and everything was dark.  You remember regaining consciousness a few times; the men shouting at each other, Yoongi holding a towel over your wound. Then another memory, you in Jungkook’s arms as they rushed you through the hallways, you looked up at him; him looking down at you, something so desperate in his eyes that it gave you sorrow. The other memory gave you Deja Vu, the sound of a helicopter, you looking out the window and seeing the sky, the sun setting on the horizon, you could hear Jungkook’s voice but couldn’t find him, you made out the words “You have to live.” Then it was all black again.

The bus finally arrived at your destination at a gas station. You were the only passenger left on the bus. Getting off the bus, you start to walk through town. You pass by a police station, grocery store and a fire hall. According to the map, you need to find a logging road.  Your mission to find it would have to wait, you’re starving. Thankfully you found a cozy diner nearby.
You walk in and take a seat near the back.  Everyone turned and looked at you with a curious glance as they always did with outsiders. “My name is Flo hun, can I help you?” asked the waitress. “Umm, a menu please?” “Sure hun, are you ok? You’re a bit pale.”   You nod. “Yes, I’m just tired after the bus ride and I’m starving.” “Do you want some coffee?” “Yes please.” You decide to order a hamburger and fries.
After the waitress brings you your order, you take out the map trying to determine where you are. “Need any help dear?”  asks the waitress named Flo. You need a cover story fast! “Yes, I’m trying to find a logging road near here. I heard there is a haunted mill around here?” “Yes there is as a matter of fact. But there is just maybe some shacks or cabins in there from the old harvesting days of the local mill.”
She bought it, whew!
The waitress turned to speak to a truck driver at the counter. “Just a sec, hey Arnold, where’s that logging road near here?” “It’s about 10 km, down the road. Why?” “This young lady is looking for it.” “I can drop her off there if she wants.” “Would you please?” you asked. “You bet.” – Arnold smiles.
After eating your first full meal in days, you were anxious to get going again. You kept looking around, looking over your shoulder as you were trained to do. Seeing you leaving the diner with the truck driver, the waitress looked very concerned. She spoke to the other customers. “What do you think? No one’s been looking for that mill in ages. What if she gets into trouble? She’s alone.” They mutter among themselves. Her customers at the counter agreed with her. “Call the police.”
She contacted the local police with the information. She told them that it was odd you were looking for the road and the haunted mill. They took the information and will investigate. Unfortunately, Hydra agents were checking for the same thing, but so was SHIELD. They were looking for anomalies. The sergeant contacts one of his deputies; he asks him to check on you. He reports it will be awhile as there is an accident in town that required his assistance first.
About 15 mins later, Arnold drops you off at the entrance of the logging road. “Why are you going in there hun?” “To investigate a haunted mill; you know a paranormal study. Thank you for driving me.” “Sure dear. Not a problem.”
You were hoping everyone would just forget about you.
With that, you hop out of the truck and start down the road. After dropping you off, the trucker became very concerned, wondering if he should report it to the police. No one’s been around there in years. Maybe he should as you might get into trouble and you were alone. Thankfully, another trucker on the CB told him that the waitress Flo already called the cops.
It took you about 3 hrs to walk but you finally arrive at a cabin. You see it’s rundown. Huh? I know this place. You thought. “The door is locked. Damn it.”
Wandering around the site, you suddenly remember that the key is in the outhouse behind the cabin. How you remembered that, you didn’t know.  Unlocking the door, you look around and settle in. You feel safe inside the cabin.  You knew you were here before and it meant something to you. But the memory loss was still scaring you.
You crawled into the king size bed in the corner. You’re too scared to close your eyes. So far, you remember being tortured, someone tried to kill you at the Avengers compound and someone loves you. You keep trying to remember more but every time you do your head hurts worse.  You don’t have any pain meds, so sleep was your only option to relieve the pain, but the cabin was too cold. You reach into the bag for the gun putting it into your pocket; you didn’t want to take any chances. There wasn’t enough wood beside the fireplace. You decide to go for a walk to get some wood and you lock the door behind you just in case.
You went to get the firewood from the pile near the house, you heard a truck coming. You dart into the woods. You see a police officer get out of the vehicle and start looking around. He checks the doors and windows. He didn’t see anything out of the ordinary or any evidence that you were there, so he got back in and left.
You patiently wait for a while before heading into the cabin again, just in case he came back. Carefully you walk back in and lock everything up again. You pray that he wouldn’t come back.  You start the fireplace and get warmed up. As exhaustion hits you, you climb into the bed and you close your eyes.
You finally fall asleep.   Dreaming, you see hugs, kisses, pillow fights, along with the emotions of lust, passion and tenderness. Nights by the fireplace making love.  Holding you tightly; the feeling of being safe and protected. Going for long walks in the woods; holding hands. The man in your dreams was the man who told you he loves you. Were these real memories or just dreams?
You remember his face but you can’t remember his name. This makes you a bit nervous. Why?
Little did you know, you set off an alarm when you entered the cabin earlier.

onwards and upwards | rosie & graves
Rosie traps Graves somewhere he can’t escape for an interrogation.
Knocking on Graves' door would ruin the point of a surprise attack, so first Rosie slowly tested the handle to see if it was locked– nope! What an idiot. She slammed her body into the door as she opened it and tumbled into the room, finding her footing within seconds and launching herself onto where her brother was sleeping peacefully. "¡Despierta!"
It wasn't until 3 AM that Graves finally fell asleep, mid-reading, his tarot deck strewn across his comforter. He was sprawled in the middle of his bed, out cold, without a care in the world. A card was stuck to his cheek. He was drooling - that is, until Rosie landed on him and yelled right in his ear. Graves sat bolt upright, eyes wild, his mind taking a second to wake up. "Gods, Roz. A simple knock wouldn't have worked?" He looked at his sister, using his arm to wipe drool off his cheek.
Rosie rolled off of him and onto the floor. She sat up and grinned at him, reaching forward to prod one of his cheeks. "Gross. You're drooling." Scooting backwards away from him, she clambered back up to her feet and started to look around his room. "Nah, boring as fuck. Wanna go for a drive?"
"I know I'm droolin'. I was asleep before someone barged in. " Graves stuck his tongue out at his sister, before grinning. He ran a hand through his hair in a failed attempt to tame his bedhead. "Oh hell yeah, where to hermana?" He rolled out of bed and started rummaging through his dresser.
"Oh yeah? Who?" Rosie snickered and leaned against his dresser as he began to go through it. "So rude of them. I want somewhere to stretch our legs! Somewhere out of the way. And ice cream, I for sure want ice cream."
"My punk ass sister, that's who." Graves snapped a t-shirt in Rosie's direction, but made sure it didn't hit her. He resumed his search, digging through a second drawer to find a pair of pants. "A hiking adventure! I'm in. And you know I never turn down ice cream." He laughed, "I never turn down any food, let's be honest. Alright, give me two minutes." Cam shooed his sister from his room and quickly got dressed. When he opened the door again, he was in his usual ripped jeans and tee, a flannel tied around his waist. His boots were in his hand. "I gotta put these on, do you wanna grab some snacks from the kitchen?"
Rosie yelped and skipped out of the way of the t-shirt, continuing on out the door as he ushered her out to change. When he emerged, she feigned a yawn as though she had been waiting for hours. "Yeah, yeah, make me do all the hard work. Meet me in five." With a laugh, she spun around and dashed to the kitchen.
Graves let out a loud laugh as he sat down to pull on his boots. "I'm not makin' you do the hard work, I'm lettin' you pick your favorite snacks!" He called to her retreating form. He tied his shoes and pulled his phone out of his pocket, looking up nearby hiking trails. "Am I drivin'?"
"Whatever!" she called back as she gathered armfuls of snacks and started shoving them into her backpack before scampering back to her brother. "I can drive if you want a thrill!"
He waved his keys in the air. "I'll let you drive when I want a heart attack. You're navigating. C'mon, Loretta's parked over by the vans." He grabbed his water bottle and backpack before standing. With a smirk on his face, Graves looked over at Rosie. "I'll race you there."
“Coward,” Rosie teased, slinging the backpack over her shoulder. As soon as he mentioned the word ‘race’ she shoved him, then took off in a sprint.
"Woah, hey! False start ref!" Graves stumbled, laughing, then bolted after his sister. "I'll get you back for that, Roz!"
“Gotta catch me first!” she yelled back, ducking her head and maintaining speed. “You’re too slow!”
"C'mon, I haven't played lacrosse in two years. I used to be faster!" Graves could see his truck in the distance, his sister a few yard ahead of him. Laughing, he ran a little faster until he was just behind Rosie and reached out for her backpack to slow her down.
Rosie yelped as she was yanked backwards and dove to the side to try and slam into him as he passed her. "Fucker!"
Graves lost his footing when her shoulder crashed into him. "Shit!" He righted himself, watching as Rosie reached his car first. "For the record, Roz, I let you win." He was laughing and reached out to ruffle her hair before tossing his backpack into the truckbed and swinging himself into the driver's seat.
Rosie grinned and ducked her head when he touched her hair. "For the record, you're a fucking dick. I'm faster." She hopped into the passenger's seat and put her feet up on the dashboard as she got comfortable. "I got a question for you once you start driving and can't escape."
Graves exhaled, "Oh gods, I don't like the sound of that." He turned the key in the ignition and buckled his seatbelt, looking over to make sure his sister did the same. He tossed her his phone. "You're navigating and interrogating, don't forget to tell me where I'm going."
Rosie rolled her eyes but fastened her seatbelt anyway. She flicked her sunglasses down over her eyes and caught his phone, tapping in the passcode and pulling up google maps. "I can multitask. Head towards the highway first."
Graves flicked on the radio and followed her directions, driving out of camp and onto the road that would take them to the highway.
Rosie waited until they were on a stretch that didn't require directions for a while and twisted in her seat to face him. "Alright, tumbitas." She pointed at him. "What's your relationship with the wicked bitch of the west?"
Graves gripped the steering wheel a little tighter and flicked Rosie a cool look. He'd anticipated the question but hoped he'd been wrong. "Sorry, hermana, I've never been to Oz." He tried to flash her a grin but her expression was unreadable through her sunglasses.
Rosie raised her eyebrows, still casually sprawled across the seat despite the edge in her voice. "I'm talking about Cleo Bancroft." She pronounced the name with disdain.
"Ah." He said, tapping the steering wheel with his index finger. "I...don't know? Relationship feels like a strong word." Graves shrugged, acting indifferent.
"Are you friends?" Rosie crossed her arms.
"We..." He squinted, trying to think of the right word to describe what he and Cleo had. "We're friend-ly? Ish?"
With a scoff, Rosie sat up, pulling her feet off the dashboard. "That's it? I don't believe it."
Graves shrugged again, visibly uncomfortable. His expression said he was calculating any possible escape route from this situation: there were none. He glanced at his sister again. "I don't know? Gods, Roz."
Rosie scowled. "Oh my gods, I'm not going to flip shit on you. I just want to know."
"Is it that big of a deal if we are?" He asked, getting defensive.
"Uh, kinda? Since the rest of us hate her?"
"For something that happened, what? Five years ago?"
Rosie threw her hands up in the air. "Yeah! 'Cause it fucking sucked and was a shitty thing to do!"
"I-" Graves looked at Rosie. "I wasn't even here for it, Rosie!" He pressed his lips together. "I'm sure it sucked and it was shitty but...I'm just supposed to hate someone because y'all do? What is that?"
"Yeah, kinda!" Rosie frowned at him. "I'd hate anyone you wanted me to."
“I wouldn’t ask you to hate anyone!” He fired back. “I-sorry. That totally wasn’t the point.” Graves sighed. “It’s just- I don’t know. I’m being a dick, aren’t I?”
Rosie blew a piece of hair out of her face. “Ugh. Shut up, you’re so fucking-“ she motioned towards him. “Nice. I just wanna be annoyed.”
Graves chewed his lip. “Nah, I’m not that nice. I know she hurt you cari. You have every right to be mad.” He glanced down at the maps just to make sure he was going the right way. “If I said we were friends, what happens?”
Rosie kept half an eye on Graves’ phone. “Still five mins until the turn.” She slid down further in her seat. “I dunno. I guess I just wanna know. Are you?”
He nodded, appreciative of her directions. “I honestly don’t know? She’s not awful and we talk sometimes?” Graves offered vaguely.
“Erre es korakas,” she cursed at him, her momentary calm already gone. “Just answer the fucking question.”
Graves winced when Rosie cursed. When he answered, his voice was quiet. “If I said yes, are you going to tell all our siblings to hate me too?” He stared at the road, expression tense.
Rosie rolled her eyes again and leaned against the window, pressing her temple against the glass. “You really think I’d do that?”
“If I called Cleo my friend, yeah. You hate her so much. Miranda too. I don’t know.” Graves ran a hand through his hair.
Rosie hunched her shoulders defensively and looked back at him. “I wouldn’t. And even if I told them to, they wouldn’t.”
He glanced over at her, not believing her fully. “I don’t want you to be mad at me. I know how long you can hold a grudge, Roz...”
Rosie frowned at him. “I can be fucking pissed at you and still love you to death, idiot.”
Graves’ expression was filled with doubt. “Do you want me to stop talking to her?” He realized he still hadn’t answered Rosie’s question.
“Yeah, no shit.” Rosie looked back out the window. “But I’m not gonna ask you to. I’m sick of pulling you guys into this shit, it clearly just fucking spirals.”
“I let you down at Cyrus’ party, fuckin’ losing my walkie talkie. And inviting Cleo. I don’t want to let you down with this too.”
Rosie was silent for a few long seconds. “You invited her?”
“I-“ Graves racked his brain, trying to backtrack. “I didn’t invite her, exactly? Invite us a strong word. Nah, I-uh, I ran into hear that day and uh, we were talking and I said I had to go get ready and she asked what for and...” He trailed off. “A party for Cy is public knowledge, right? He’s the party king. Everyone knew......right?”
Rosie slapped a hand to her forehead since she couldn’t smack him without causing a car crash. “Are you fucking serious, Cam? She wasn’t invited for a reason! Because it was Cyrus’s fucking birthday and obviously a fight was gonna start with her there! It wasn’t just a party, it was a party for his birthday and because she was there I almost fucking ruined it! None of us wanted her there!”
"It wasn't on purpose, I swear!" Graves looked at Rosie and shook his head, eyes wide. "I didn't think about it! Also didn't think she'd show up, that's insane! And," he paused and sighed. "You didn't ruin it. If anything, I did. I was too busy flirtin' with Casey, I didn't even see Lisette hit you."
Rosie felt like tearing her hair out or bursting into tears, she couldn’t tell which. “You’re not helping your case here.”
"It was a game!" He said, exasperated. "You came up with the game, you hit Lisette, she hit you back.  Isn't that how the game worked? I'm pretty sure yes because I hit Tai and he fuckin' wailed on my jaw. Hit for hit!" Graves could feel the hole he was in getting even deeper." I don't even know how to help my case."
“Oh my fucking gods you don’t get it!” Definitely leaning towards tears now. Rosie could feel herself getting choked up, which only made her more angry. “I don’t care Lisette hit me! Good for her, it was part of the game, which I said at the time if anyone would just fucking listen to me!” She pressed her fingers under her eyes. “I know everyone thinks I’m some fucking psychopath who’s gonna snap at anything but I said it was fine, I told the others to back off, I didn’t hit her again or yell at her or anything! I just wanted to keep going with the game and everyone else was making it worse but of course it was Rosie who lost her temper and interrupted the game, and had to be told to calm down and have the water gun confiscated, of course.” She slid her hands down her face, exhaling hard. “I’m not fucking mad I got hit. Okay?”
"Ah...shit," Graves wilted as Rosie got choked up. He was not good with crying so he hoped Rosie didn't cry, especially because it would have been his fault and he would officially win 'Worst Brother of the Month.' He looked over at her, eyes full of concern. "No, Roz. Rosie, I-I know you're not mad you got hit. I know you told everyone to stop and I know no one listened to you. I also know it's my fault. Cleo and Lisette wouldn't have been there if I hadn't opened my big fucking mouth and I-I'm sorry..."
Rosie turned her head to face the window when he looked over at her and rolled it down a crack. The breeze was bracing, and gave her a chance to catch her breath enough to clear the lump from her throat. She looked back at him. “Whatever. You didn’t know.” Deciding to risk it, she punched his shoulder. “Fucking look at us. Ridiculous.”
Graves had been prepared for Rosie to hit him since the conversation had started, so her punch only made him swerve a little. He made a face, "I forgot how hard you can hit, damn." He exhaled, watching Rosie look out the window. "Ridiculous," Graves agreed. His next words came out in a rush. "Do I make it better or worse if I say that we're kinda friends and I feel bad hiding it from you and Miranda but I don't want to hurt you by being friends with her and I don't want to her by lying and saying she's not...my friend." He bit his lip, afraid he'd escalated the situation again with his confession.
Rosie would have laughed if she wasn't still upset. "You could've started with that." She looked back at the window. "I'm pissed you're friends with her but I'm not gonna make you stop. Just... it's not all me, okay? She's really fucking good at playing the victim card and making me look like the villain in this whole shit, but it's not just me."
"I didn't want to start with it because I honestly...didn't plan on telling you yet. But I just feel like a fucking dick." Graves shrugged, he looked like a kicked puppy. He could tell Rosie was still upset with him and he didn't know how to fix it since all he was saying were hurtful things. "I never thought it was all you, Roz. I promise. She doesn't talk about you either, if that helps. I mean," he chose his words carefully. "It's not like we hang out and she shit talks you. I think I'm the only one that's ever really brought you or Miranda up and it's to tell her that I don't want to upset either of you. Which is true. I don't and I've never wanted that. But leave it to me to befriend the one person you hate the most. Great fucking brother, huh."
Rosie half smiled. It was hard to keep being mad at him when he seemed to be doing her job for her. "Leave it to you," she agreed. "Fucking terrible taste in people. You're not crushing on her, right? Honestly."
“She’s not terrible,” Graves laughed and shook his head. “We’re just friends. Gods, don’t worry about that. Don’t joke about that. I’m sorry, again.”
Rosie pointed at him. “Hey. You’re still on thin fucking ice.” Despite her words, she was smiling. “Take the next exit.”
Graves smiled back at his sister, taking the exit as directed. "Thin ice, got it. How do I get to solid land? How do we...navigate this?"
Rosie pushed her sunglasses back on top of her head. She had wanted to clear the air not have a discussion, but it did seem like the mature thing to do. "Ugh. Just... don't invite her to the cabin, okay? I don't want to have to go full hippie cleanse mode and burn some sage."
"Do we even have sage in the cabin?" He laughed. "I don't picture you as the hippie type."
Rosie made a gagging sound. "I'm not. I burned that out of my system when we broke up."
Graves rolled his eyes. "Well, thanks to Gran, I don't have sage, but I do have crystals, so if you really need to cleanse the cabin, I'll let you borrow them."
"Turn left up here." Rosie rolled the window down the rest of the way. "Good to know." She glanced over at him. "You got anything you wanna say to me?"
He took the turn Rosie instructed, pulling smoothly into the parking lot of the hiking area. Graves looked at his sister. "I'm sorry again. And I'm treating you to ice cream after this."
Rosie laughed and sat up to unbuckle her seatbelt. “I was asking if you’re pissed at me about some shit but I’ll accept free ice cream.”
Graves unbuckled his seatbelt and slid out of the truck in one fluid motion. He shut the door and leaned over the truck bed to look at Rosie. He rested his chin on his arms. "I don't know. I just figured you were pissed at me and that I'd be kicked out of the cabin or something."
Rosie snorted and hopped out of the car. “I’m thrilled you’re that scared of me. C’mon tumbitas, I’m always pissed at you and you still got a bed!”
Graves fished his backpack out of the truck bed and slung a strap over his shoulder. “Only an idiot wouldn’t be scared of the Hermes girls.” He grinned. “Is there anything I should be pissed at you about, since you asked?” He waited for Rosie to grab her bag before walking to the trail.
Rosie followed after him, skipping to catch up and walk beside him. “Nope! I’ve been an angel, as always!”
Graves snorted. “Right, I believe that. What’s the most recent wild thing you’ve done?”
She pulled a baseball cap out of her bag and put it on. She winked at him. “Forgiving your terrible judgment.”
Graves bumped her shoulder with his own. "My judgement's better than yours. I didn't date her." He stuck his tongue out and grinned, making sure she knew he was only teasing. "Honestly, I fully expected you to punch me once we go out of the truck. Loretta could only protect me for so long."
Rosie laughed and tugged his sleeve so he would stop for long enough for her to clamber up onto his back. She wrapped her arms around his neck. “You’re such an idiot,” she said fondly.
"I know I am. You still love me, hermana?" Graves adjusted his arms so he could carry her properly and set off on the trail.
“No shit, tumbitas.” She rested her chin on his shoulder. “Onwards and upwards.”

From Russia With Love (1963)
Time for that second Bond movie y’all! Like last time it is basically me recapping the movie with my own comments thrown in so you know, spoilers (also one for the last season of Designated Survivor, because I’m like that).
Ah after a brief look through the barrel of the gun we enter the classic Bond cold open for the first time! Bond is playing cat and mouse with a broad shouldered blond in a fancy garden with statues and hedges and shit. The blond man pulls a wire out of his watch and strangles Bond, oh no! Flood lights turn on and we see many men wearing the exact same outfit (black on black, turtlenecks). The man is congratulated on his perfect time (1 min 52 sec). Then we take a look at Bond on the ground, wait, it isn’t Bond? It’s a mask! It is another man, still dead though.
INTROTIME! This time it is the credits projected onto a dancing woman's body (007 of course gets the breasts). The great thing about this franchise is that it will never let you forget just how misogynistic it is.
youtube
This time we start in Venice. We know this because there are canalboats and a big sign that says that we’re at “Venice international grandmasters championship” A chess tournament then, and on the board of the next match is a reminder that we are a long time ago and that czechoslovakia is still a thing (also the indoor smoking), just like on one of the maps we had when I was a kid in school because they couldn’t afford to replace it. Anywhoo, Venice, chess.
Tumblr media
Scene change, we’re now in a floating lair (a boat or maybe I should say ship, big yacht?), there’s a small aquarium with fish that eat each other, a white cat being petted by hands attached to a man whose face is not yet revealed who is issuing commands to a russian woman. He/they are SPECTRE of course, our old enemy. She is “number three”, he has a hideous ring with the SPECTRE octopus symbol. Number 5 joins them, he is the Czechoslovakian chess player (Kronsteen???) (who won), together they discuss their evil plan. They are stealing some decoding machine from the Russian in order to do so they need a female from the Russian cryptography section in Turkey and British intelligence, they will of course not know that they are being used. Bonus: They may get revenge for the murder of Dr. No. Number 5 has made it obvious that it is a trap because British intelligence won’t be able to resist it.
Now we’re back at the estate of the opening scene, where fake Bond was killed. Blond Man is tanning on a blanket, a blonde woman is joining him as a helicopter carrying Number 3 arrives.
Tumblr media
Ah, those lazy bottle bleached days...Nr. 3 is looking for a Grant, ostensibly the Mr. Blond. They walk through the tranining facilites and the guy who met Nr. 3 brags about them using live targets on occasion, because training is well and good, but cannot replace experience. She finds him acceptable. I like Nr. 3, she’s a little subvertive (but of course she is evil *eyeroll*).
Ah, here appears a Russian woman, presumably the aforementioned “female” Tatiana Romanova (wow, such russian). Nr. 3 has reading glasses thicker than coke bottle bottoms.
Tumblr media
Those subtitles say “I will obey your orders” and so she will, otherwise she’d be dead. Nr. 3 is not to be trifeld with. Romanova has been hand picked to be a seductress, to Bond presumably. Who we meet in the next scene, he’s in a boat with a woman, Syliva, who caresses a scar on his back and asks if it is from another woman who was jealous, “yes, but I haven’t turned my back on one since” he replies. We met Sylvia in Dr. No, he had to leave for Jamaica then. Their little outing is interrupted by beeping that means Bond must phone the office, which of course needs him, and so Sylvia doesn’t get quite as much attenton as she wanted, but he makes time for some “lunch”.
Back at M’s office they realize it’s a trap (Nr. 5 was clearly  correct in is analysis of British intelligence), but Bond is intrigued once he sees the picture of the stunning Romanova, of course.
Enter Q, Bond gets toys this time around! Not just a new gun like last time, now he gets a suitcase with twenty hidden rounds of ammunition, a secret throwing knife, and AR7 folding snipers rifle, .25 caliber with infrared telescopic sight, some hidden 50 gold sovereigns in the handle, a tin of talcum powder that is teargas that will explode if you open the suitcase in the normal way, instead Bond must first turn the catches horizontally, then open normally. Bond thinks this is ridiculous.
Then he says goodbye to Miss Moneypenny with the traditional flirtation that goes nowhere and gets his plane ticket to Istanbul, gives Miss Moneypenny the picture of Romanova and writes “from Russia with love” on it. Oh Bond...
He lands in Istanbul and someone is following him already, because of course they are, two mustached men as well as the SPECTRE hired Grant. The mustaches are hunagrians hired by the russians according to the driver, “they follow us, we follow them, it’s a sort of understanding we have.”
The driver takes him to Kerim Bey, who says the driver is is son, so are all his top employees because blood is the only thing to be trusted. I think he is in for a rude awakening at some point. Kerim warns him that it is a foolish endeavor and that he should spend a few days enjoying Istanbul and then go home.
We see Grant again, with someone gagged and bound in the back seat. Bond goes to his hotel, and it’s no dump, he’s in room 32, and it comes wired with bugs, luxurious! Bond asks for a new room because “the bed is to small”, they agree to show him the bridal suite
Meanwhile Grant dumps the car and the body of the man in the back outside the Russian consulate (I think), so that they will suspect the British, and as Nr. 3 says “the cold war in Istanbul won’t be cold very much longer”
The next morning Ali Kerim Bey’s office is bombed as he’s about to have sex with a woman who moaned his name until he put his papers down and gave her attention. She’s a spy for sure, because he’s not that interesting. Bond shows up later and he and Kerim Bey go down under the building, where there is some underground cave/channel and a boat (and rats).
Tumblr media
Kerim Bey has a fuckin telescope under the Russian consulate! He runs through who is who, including the beautiful Romanova. They decide it is best Bond doesn’t go back to his hotel. Now they trick their tail and go visit Kerim Bey’s “Gypises” who he uses “Like the Russians use the Bulgars” this is going to be some racist stereotypical nonsense isn’t it?
Some Russians (one of them they saw in the telescope and is probably the guy who made the mine that blew up Kerim Bey’s office) are up to something, seeing Bond & Kerim Bey’s arrival.
Ah yes, two girls are in love with same man and are threatening to kill each other, it will be settled in the “gypsy way” whatever that is. Kerim Bey and Bond are invited to a table with them “I hope you are good at eating with your fingers,” he tells Bond. Ah, of course, belly dancing, a lil throwback to the intro credits that.
Tumblr media
While Bond is being entertained, the Russians are creeping in. Mr. Grant of SPECTRE is also lurking about. The two women who are in love with the same man fights each other, just as one has a bottle over the other’s head the Russians crash the party. Fighting ensues, Bond saunters through with ease, or the secret aid of one SPECTRE agent who needs him alive long enough to aid with the decipher acquisition. Remember Bond has yet to meet Romanova, he’s only been here one night!
Bond has saved their leaders life, and is now “his son”, and asks if they can’t stop the “girl fight” - Oh Bond, they don’t need you you ass. The man says he can decide.
Tumblr media
They are delivered to his tent and he is told to decide, it fades out to him saying “this might take som time” followed by a Connery smirk (he’s a very pouty man isn’t he? Also he’s in his thirties here...)
Bond and Kerim Bey go to take out the Russian who attacked the, since Kerim Bey has been shot, Bond has brought his little folding rifle. Kerim Bey insists on shooting even though he only has one arm. Bond lets him. There is a secret hatch in the wall, opening in the mouth of a woman who is postered there, ample opportunity for some jokes about her pretty mouth that...
Tumblr media
Bond is back at his hotel now, doing the most human thing I’ve seen him do, kick of his shoes. Then he orders breakfast for one at nine, green figs, yogurt and coffee, very black. He slowly undresses and makes his way towards the bathroom, he sniffs something strange in the air. THen he hears thumps. He grabs his gun and goes to check it out, wearing nothing but a towel.
Enter Romanova. Naked, in bed. They greet, he tells her she is beautiful, she tells him she think her (very small) mouth is too big, he thinks it is just the right size and they kiss, or rather he kinda rubs his mouth against her. Really, I never enjoy kissing on screen, but Connery is terrible at it. He asks her for blueprints of the consulate, she promises it, but they will fuck first. She’s got one job, lay back and think of Russia. Nr. 3 & Grant are outside filming. It’s a porn now, I’m sure you can track down a recreation of this as an actual porn somewhere, rule 34 and all that.
Tumblr media
I hope his dick is better than his kisses Ms. Romanova. The next day Romanova and Bond meet at St. Sophia, the Russian’s Ukrainan is following. Tourists are getting a very monotonous tour. Grant takes care of the Ukraininan as she’s about to steal the information left for Bond.
Bond & Kerim Bey have a chat about how mysterious it was with the Ukraininan, and Bond also says that Romanova will do anything for him, Kerim Bey does not believe that, he’s sure she’s a double agent. Bond says he only wants the dechiffrerer anyway, Kerim Bey asks “is that all?” and they have a chuckle.
Bond & Romanova meet on a boat, he has a camera that is really a tape recorder and he asks her questions about the decoding machine. She asks if he will make love to her in Englan, he says yes and we see M and the rest of the office listening to the tape. M ends up throwing Miss Moneypenny out of the room, she looks like she’s about to start laughing. She of course can listen in via the intercom at her desk, M. knows this and asks her to send Bond a “cable”. M. gives Bond the go-ahead for the deal over the decoder. Bond tells Romanova it will be on the fourteenth, not the thirteenth, even though it will be.
Bond walks into the russian consulate, a convenient bomb, set off by Kerim Bey in the tunnels below, causes chaos and he seeks out Romanova and the device. They escape down into the tunnels, but oh no, the rats!
Tumblr media
They must go another way than inteded, Kerim Bey leads the way! They escape the Russians aboard a train, but Gran is of course there, they are playing straight into his hands, oh no! Will Bond get out of this pickle? The question should really be will Kerim Bey and Romanova get out of it.
One of the russians got onto the train after all, Benz, and they seek him out, stuff a handkerchief in his mouth and Kerim Bey sits down with him, to keep him company until it is time to get off. Well, that is until Kerim Bey is murdered. Grant of course, but they seem to think the Russian and Kerim Bey did each other in. Bond takes Kerim’s yellow cigarette holder or whatever, and looks sad. He has lost a friend.
The train trundles past Kerim’s son who is supposed to pick them up along the tracks and he is confuse. Bond takes out his upset on Romaonova, demanding the truth from her.
At six thirty-three the train arrives in Beograd. Where another of Kerim’s sons await, getting terrible news. Grant is doing his usual lurking about. Bond gives the son Kerim’s items and jumps back onboard. Next stop: Zagreb, where Bond asked someone to meet him, but Grant takes the mans place. They re-board. Bond sends Grant (maquerading as Captain Nash) and Romanova ahead of him to the restaurant wagon. Then proceeds to sneak into Nash’s suitcase.
During the meal Grant spills Romanova’s drink, refills with a little something extra. Pretty sure Bond sees it, but lets it pass. Romanova feels unwell on the way back. They put her to bed, then Bond puts a gun to Grant, who smooth talks his way out of it, shows Bond a map and stuns him with the handle of his gun (a lot of that going round in this movie). They’re in the same space as the suitcase with the tear gas, and I’m sure Bond is going to get out of this pickle by tricking him to opening it so that the tear gas booms him.
Now for the villain tells too much talk! yay! I love these, they’re so ridiculous (spoiler for Designated survivor, in season three when Maggie Q’s character is just killed with a comment about how in real life that’s not how it goes, I was howling, and crying as she was the only reason I bothered watching still, very okay with it being cancelled). Bond is being a classist prick as usual and says he should have known since Grant ordered red wine with fish (PS. I’ve drank an entire bottle of cheap red as I watched this, hence the deterioration in uh, quote accuracy and “proper” language). Bond is all “you SMERSH people” smh, but then realizes that, no of course, SPECTRE! Ah, acronym soup.
Tumblr media
I still can’t believe this guy is in his thirties here. Anywhoo. Grant says “I don’t mind talking, I get a kick out of watching Mr. Bond finding out what a bloody fool he’s been making of himself. We’re pro’s Mr. Bond.” 1. If you were pro’s you would have shot Bond already 2. I’m sure he’ll use that damn suitcase against you! Grant admits that Romanova doesn’t know she’s working for SPECTRE, that she believes she is doing this for SMERSH. Grant also calls Bond “old man” and who is older? I cannot tell.
Here we go, Bond tricking him to opening the suitcase by promising him the 50 sovereigns. Fighting time! Here comes Grant’s watch wire, but Bond isn’t so easily offed when he’s real aaaand he off’s Grant with the very same wire. Beautiful. Bond then takes his cash and calls Grant’s body “old man”. I’m ded.
The train starts hooting, there’s a truck on the tracks. Bond grabs the half conscious Romanova and drags her off the train with him. She falls asleep under a bush. He sneaks around some more, looking to get Grant’s men. He knocks one out, ties him up, throws him in the truck. Then he throws Romanova on a literal (truck) bed of flowers before getting in the truck himself. They’re driving off in the night, then the day. A yellow tailed helicopter, suspiciously like the noe nr. 3 arrived in when she picked up Grant comes at them. Bond runds around and let the helicopter chase him. This is terrible. Alright scenery though.
Bond hides in a convenient rock formation and brings out his rifle again. Guy in helicopter is about to throw down a hand grenade, but Bond and his .25 rifle shots him in the arm so he drops the grenade INSIDE THE HELICOPTER
Tumblr media
Once again Bond survives through luck. Now they’ve arrived at a boat (still following Grant’s escape route I guess) and the driver is out of luck, once they’ve reached full speed Bond pushes him overboard. They’re headed for Venice (from Croatia if I’m not mistaken).
Cut to the floating lair of guy with white cat, where nr. 3 and 5 are meeting with him, and she, of course, gets blamed for the failure, despite having  followed the plan. She says Bond was the reason, but five won’t hear it. That poor cat isn’t being petted right. She thinks she’ll be killed now, but instead guy with cat (number one) gives five a kick with a poisoned blade that came out of his boot. Three is now very keen on getting Bond so she will live.
Now Bond is in a boat chase, the chasers shoot out all the fuel barrels. So Bond lets them all plop into the ocean, then makes them go boom with a signal gun. I’m not sure that’s how that works, but okay. They loose their chasers.
Now we’ve come full circle, back where we started. Venice. Hotel room. Maid shows up, pretty sure it’s number three here to steal something. A time for Romanova to figure out her loyalties. She picks Bond. I must admit I’m a bit sad, three was a good character to root for, but only if she ran her own evil empire.
Tumblr media
“James, behave yourself, we are being filmed.”
“Oh, not again.”
THE END.
except not quote because James Bond will retur in GOLDFINGER. See ya soon Mr. Bond.

Hoseok x Reader.
Warnings: I don’t even know, if you do, let me know and I’ll change the warnings.

Angst with fluffs: 2,584 words
A/N: The wait is over for the next part. I mean, it’s only been eleven days which isn’t nearly as long as I’ve been waiting for the fic I’m reading on Ao3 to update, but it’s still pretty long if you’re only on my blog for this story. I’m trying to figure out how to approach the next few chapters so that I can resolve things. Also, formatting is a little different so let me know if you like it or not.
Tumblr media
You woke up to find Hoseok’s arms around you.
You lay there, frozen in shock for what felt like forever.
Until Jungkook poked his head into the room, nose twitching. “Damn it, Hobi.” He hurried over and carefully moved Hoseok’s arms. “Go.”
You slid out and onto the chair beside the bed, hugging yourself and staring at the way Hoseok searched in his sleep for you.
Jungkook handed you your crutch. “The kids are going to be all over you.”
“Why?”
He looked away. “You smell like fear. That’s what made me look for Hobi in here…it’s seeped into the hallway. It’s not all from Hoseok-hyung…”
“No, I had a nightmare,” You reached for the nightstand and grabbed your glasses so you could actually see his expression. Apparently, it was going to be one of those days where your left eye wouldn’t work, which was fantastic and another reason Hoseok being beside you when you woke up scared you. What if it had been someone else?
Your right eye wasn’t helping much either, only focusing after you put your glasses on. Only reason you knew it was Jungkook before was because you could make out the ears.
“Good, because…” He stopped there. “He wouldn’t want you to be scared of him.”
“I’m not scared of him,” You answered sharply.
“I know. You’re scared of what you feel for him.”
You got up and passed him. “Shut up. I just woke up. I don’t need this.”
“I know, sorry. I just…I think you should tell him. At least that would prevent some hard feelings between you both.”
You shook your head. “I’m not…I can’t handle the stress.”
“But if there’s even a chance that—”
You couldn’t breathe, but hitting him with your crutch seemed to shut him up. “Shut. Up.”
He listened this time, following closely behind you, his desire to tell you to breath heavy in the air.
You dropped onto the couch and dropped your head into your hands to try and calm down. Of course there would be ramifications of you never speaking about the feelings you had for Hoseok. Of you rushing away from his gravitational pull as quickly as you could. You wanted to keep him in your life, but you knew you couldn’t have him. Not the way—
“Do you smell smoke?” Jungkook asked, sounding alarmed.
You sat up, not even sure if you could breath in to smell.
Hoseok came stumbling out. “Is your neighbor’s fire alarm going off?”
Jimin came running into the apartment. “Quick, get the kids, out the fire escape. I think the threat was bigger than they thought!” He had a bloody nose.
Jungkook ran to the bedroom.
Hoseok and Jimin pulled you to your feet as the smoke started in under the door, then Jimin hurried to help with the kids.
You nudged Hoseok. “Protect them. I’ll be along as fast as I can.”
“Jimin and Jungkook have them. I’m protecting you.” He picked you up. “Need to move faster.”
You could hear the kids yelping in fright.
Hoseok set you down, then guided you out the window. “The car isn’t big enough for all of us.”
“I need to get to Ariel. Kook and I will get them into the car with you and y/n, then we’ll head toward her place. Then warn her parents, just in case,” Jimin said from outside the window as he helped you through.
“Be careful, Jiminie,” Hoseok warned, sounding concerned. “If anything happens to you two…”
“Let’s focus on getting to safety before you go worrying about the future,” You interrupted.
They both nodded and helped you down the fire escape since you couldn’t bend your leg with the brace.
Once down, Hoseok checked that the munchkins were okay.
An officer saw them and came over.
Jungkook intercepted, talking softly and explaining the situation.
The officer’s eyes widened and he nodded.
Jungkook came back over. “He’s a hybrid. He said he’ll take us to Ariel’s.”
Hoseok breathed a sigh of relief. “Good. Help me get them into the car then we can be on our way. Eomma gave me specific instructions to keep them away from the Sanctuary, but if the officer can take you there, it’s probably safest.”
“Okay, hyung.”
They got the kids strapped in while you got into the passenger seat, pulling out a physical map and scouting out a route.
The kids were terrified, crying for their parents, and just generally in distress.
You turned in your seat, starting with Kae since he was in the middle, stroking his head and pulled the car blankets over them. “It’s okay. It’s going to be okay. Min-min, tuck the blanket around yourself, okay, baby?”
Min-min nodded and managed to tuck the blanket around his shoulders, sniffling and sobbing but still a little calmer than the other two. “I want Appa.”
“I know, I know you do.” You craned your arm around the seat to rub his head and ears, then stretched over to tuck the blanket around Nari. “It’s okay. Everything will be okay. We’re going to take care of you and protect you. Okay?”
“Okay,” Minsu whimpered, sniffling but a little calmer. He must have reached over and grabbed his brother’s hand. “It’s okay, Monnie…”
You turned to Hoseok as he got in, careful to avoid touching you since you were over the console. “Head towards Main, then turn left, get on the highway.”
He nodded, looking somewhat grateful that you had already planned it out.
“Min-min, I’m going to lean my seat back okay, let me know before I squish you,” You said in a light tone.
He giggled and sniffled at the same time, squeaking when you went all the way back and were basically on his lap (you didn’t stay there), but it was a good squeak and it let you reach all three of them more easily, even if it was acutely uncomfortable and somewhat dangerous.
It took a long time for them to even begin to calm down, and the other two were pretty miserable after such a scare.
“Better pull into that rest stop,” You told Hoseok softly.
He nodded.
Once there, you took Nari and he took the other two into the bathrooms. Jimin or Jungkook had thrown the supplies bought for the munchkins last night into a backpack, and the clothes that they had been wearing the day before, but you had told Hoseok to keep them in their pajamas because they would be more comfortable. It still didn’t leave you two with very much for the almost 5-year-olds who had had two stressful days without their parents. Last night had been a trial since they didn’t have their stuffed animals and couldn’t understand how their brothers could forget to get them toothbrushes, but eventually Jimin had convinced them that it was really special and promised that he would sleep with them.
You honestly weren’t sure how tonight was going to go, but you were ready to put money on them sleeping for the rest of the car ride. However long that might be.
You tucked Nari back into the carseat, knowing she could buckle herself so you left her unbuckled for now. You needed to go over what happened with Hoseok.
He set the kids into their carseats, telling them to buckled up and cuddle up with the blankets. He left the driver’s side door open and faced you.
You held up a plastic bag. “I thought I’d raid the vending machine.”
He nodded. “Good idea. There should be some decent snacks there. I’m sorry about all of this. I thought…we should have been safe there.”
You shrugged. “It is what it is.”
“It’s never been this bad before.”
"I think they're more determined than you all gave them credit for," You said simply, shrugging again and shaking your head. When had you gotten vision back in that eye? Because you could clearly see how upset he was. "Check in with Emma, make sure they're okay. I'll go to the vending machine and get some snacks. Better make sure the other two got somewhere safe as well."
“You shouldn’t—”
“I’m okay. I made it to the bathroom with Nari and back and it feels okay. I’m not in pain. She said to stop if there was pain, and I will, but we kind of left the crutch back in the apartment. I’ll holler if I need help.”
He nodded reluctantly, and pulled out his phone.
You reassured the triplets that you would be right back and limped back inside to the vending machine. You got as many decent snacks as you could before also getting some sugary ones. Some for bribes for the kids (desperate times) and the others for you and Hoseok. You were also considering getting a few sodas along with the water bottle you were planning on getting. One to split amongst the three of them, and one each for you and Hoseok. Something with caffeine so that you could keep up with the kids.
You jumped when your phone started ringing, and you stared disbelievingly at the caller id before finally answering it. "Hello?"
"Y/n? It's Sarah."
"I know, I have caller I.D. I'm just...surprised? What's up?" You swallowed and glanced back at car, sticking the most recently acquired snack into the grocery bag you had found in the backseat of the car.
"Can't I just call my sister?"
"You never have before," You replied dryly. "Seriously, Sarah, what's up?"
"I saw you on the news."
You blinked. "Oh?"
"Apartment fire. You were wearing a leg brace."
"Yup."
"Y/n," She said, annoyed.
"What do you want me to say? Yes, I'm currently recovering. Have been for two months ever since the tornado that ripped through the city. And yeah, there was a fire at the apartment building I was visiting today with my friend, who is trying to protect his siblings from people who are after them. What do you want?"
She was quiet. "You remember those summers where we would go to the lake?"
You scoffed lightly. "I hid in the tree-house the whole trip because Mom and Dad would always be fighting."
"Uncle Greg sold it to me. I'm not there right now, but it's safe. I've heard some rumors around here. Get there. No one has identified you yet, and they wouldn't be able to connect us to each other. Let alone me to that hybrid you're with. Key is in the treehouse, truck keys are in the desk, don’t use whatever vehicle you have around town. Stash it in the garage."
“Hang on, you’re helping me?”
“Y/n, the rumors I’ve heard are not good. I know I haven’t talked to you since that mess with the will—”
“Six years ago.”
“—but I’m serious right now.”
You weren’t sure you believed her.
“These people broke that guy out of jail. The one that did all those illegal things with hybrid kids. He sold them underage, abused them, he got put in jail after almost killing a fox hybrid almost fifteen years ago. He’s bad. Really bad. And if you’re with hybrids…especially kids…”
You stared at the vending machine. “F…fox hybrid…fifteen years ago…”
“Yeah, he almost killed the kid, who was saved by a cat hybrid just a couple years older than him. That was all they said other than the kid had been beaten to within an inch of his life.”
“Sarah…I think I’m with that fox hybrid…”
“What?”
“Hoseok, he…I think he’s…”
“Get to the summer house.”
“Okay…”
“Hey, you need to be stronger than you were the night you found out about mom, y/n. You don’t have anyone to hide behind, you have people hiding behind you. Snap out of it, get moving.”
“Right, right. Thank you, Sarah.”
“Yeah, well, I’ve been pretty crappy to you. We’ll have to catch up when all of this is over.” She hung up before you could answer.
You grabbed the back of snacks and limped as quickly as you could back to the car.
Hoseok was still on the phone. “They’re okay, Eomma, they’re just upset and scared. I’ll—hey!”
You had snatched the phone from him. “Emma? They broke someone out of Jail. Someone who almost killed a fox-hybrid kid that was rescued by a cat hybrid just a couple years older. That was about fifteen years ago. Sound familiar?” You asked both.
Hoseok’s eyes were huge, and he closed the car door, gulping.
“I’ll look into it.” She breathed, sounding shaken. “I’ll ask Yoongi. He’s here with his daughter. We’ll increase security here. Do you—”
“We’re going to a place that they won’t be able to connect him or you to. It’s better if I don’t say where and we’re going to turn our phones off.”
“Okay. Y/n…I know it’s asking a lot, but my kids—”
“I’ll protect them. I promise. You’ll hear from us when I know it’s safe. Hoseok,” You offered the phone to him again.
He took it. “Eomma?”
You got into the car, checking on them.
They were almost asleep already, blissfully unaware of the turn in events.
Kae sniffled. “Why is Hobi-hyung scared?”
“I accidentally snuck up on him and he got scared when he saw me,” You explained, smiling softly at him. “He doesn’t mean to worry you. Go ahead and sleep, we’re going to have a bit of a drive. Okay?”
“Okay,” He murmured, eyes already drooping.
Hoseok got into the car, handing you his phone so you could turn it off. “Where to?” He sounded worn out, and his eyes looked a little red.
“Back to the highway, for now.”
“This place we’re going…it’s safe?”
“Yeah, it should be. It was my Uncle’s place. No way for them to even connect me to you, no one can identify me, so that means anything related to me is safer. And if we end up having to leave there, then I’ll call Pete and Myka.”
“Your Uncle?”
“He was never really around, but we went to his place every summer. He was never there when we were. I think he did a lot of traveling.”
“And what inspired this idea?”
“My sister called because she caught a glimpse of me on the news, the one covering the fire. And she’d been hearing some rumors, and I guess she looked into them. She inherited my Uncles place. Told me we’d be safe there.”
“I thought…”
“So did I. Something has changed for her, I think. We haven’t spoke in six or seven years so it’s entirely possible. We don’t have many other options, and from what I remember it’s actually a pretty nice place. Here’s hoping it’s still nice. There’s a truck there, we’ll have to use that instead of this car in town. Get clothing and food, maybe some toys for them.”
“What if people think we kidnapped them?”
“Hoseok, they could be mistaken for your kids, honestly. Their fur is black, and their tails are bushy. Well, those that have tails,” You added after a pouty growl was heard.
Hoseok cracked a smile as he looked in the mirror at the kids. “You think?”
“Yup. So, if anyone asks, they’re your kids.”
He smile got a little bigger, features softening. “Our kids. Yeah. That works.”
You couldn’t bring yourself to correct him.

An Unexpected Bonus
We wanted to look around Benevento a bit more before we left. Despite almost stumbling on it it had character in terms of some majestic buildings and a laid back ambience and we wanted to make sure that we soaked a bit more up before leaving. After breakfast at the hotel we set off for a look around. It was Sunday morning so unfortunately a couple of very good clothes shops for both men and women were closed though that probably saved the budget. It was pretty hot and we stuck to the shade as best we could while taking in some grand buildings. We had not done too much research into Benevento (it doesn't make the guide books) though Liz thought it had possibilities and hence plucked it out as a destination. We also had read via crits of the hotel that it was a handy pitstop for travellers to/from Rome. Glancing down one of the laneways we saw a Roman arch which merited some investigation. We had stumbled upon a treasure. The arch of Trajan built between 114 and 117 AD essentially to honour the Roman emperor Trajan was imposing and well preserved, albeit with an element of restoration over the years. The original buildings around it had been demolished due to earthquakes over the years so the arch stood stolid, defiant and magnificent as a reminder of the past and arguably the best preserved example that I have seen of this type of structure. The arch has various sculptures and friezes depicting Emperor Trajan in processions or meeting dignitaries amongst other scenes. We probably spent 30-45 mins just walking around it to look at it from various angles. It was both one of those uncanny and moving connections with life 2000 years ago and a glorious piece of ancient architecture. With some reluctance we dragged ourselves away with a few glances over the shoulder to get a final glimpse. Again one of those monuments that you feel that you should visit every year or two and just reflect on and enjoy though that is going to be unlikely in this case. We headed back to the car thinking Liz had done it again and found a small gem in the city of Benevento when we weren't expecting much more than a feed and a bed. Next we had decided for our last day in Italy prior to heading for Latvia that we should soak up some rays and basically just relax by the beach. Also we wanted to keep heading towards Rome so that the final day's journey in the car would be reduced. The hotel Miramare near Latina was our choice. A couple of hundred kilometres away from Benevento. We arrived around 4.00pm, checked in and immediately headed for the beach. It was hot and pretty chokkers with people though through the hotel we had a reserved area to sit on and free beach beds and umbrellas. Settled ourselves down in the front row and went quickly for a swim to cool off. Very pleasant and sandy beach. I headed off for ice creams and on return found a disgruntled Liz was in the process of moving to beds nearby - "the blue beds". We had inadvertently parked ourselves on "the white beds" which though labelłed as Hotel Miramare had to be paid for and were often reserved for a week by the same people. Though empty at the time and it now being 4.30 pm the attendant advised that people may return despite Liz's protestations. She was not happy. Anyway all good and in fact the blue beds offered more shade beside a small building as the sun was getting lower and the umbrellas were of less use. It was a lovely way to end the Italy venture. Our room was very pleasant with a good sized balcony looking out to sea and despite the fact that it was a commercial sort of environment, given the setting, facilities and ease of access to the beach, another day there would not have gone amiss. Early evening post a freshen up we went to the small hotel next door which had an informal open air bar which looked out to sea for a drink. A very pleasant 45 mins or so spent there. Time for dinner. Not too many choices close to the hotel that we were keen on. Either too formal and pricey looking or menu boring but there were only a few options. We decided to walk along the beach road towards Latina which was a couple of kilometres away. Every few hundred metres there would be a restaurant or bar even a couple of campsites. We saw a couple of places that we liked the look of. At the first one we tried, which was really full, they said we were too late as the kitchen was closing (it was around 9.30) which seemed a bit weak. We reckon the owner had made too much, it had been a big night and he'd had enough. Second one was fine and though it also busy, with the staff under a bit of pressure, we enjoyed it. Nice seat in a sort of garden setting. Liz's risotto with seafood was unfortunately a bit more like basmati with seafood but my clam pasta very good. Friendly service too. We retraced our steps to the hotel and it was a very tidy walk but no hardship on a pleasant night. Next morning we set off around 10.30 for the 90 minute trip to Rome airport. A little task first. Our foam beach mats from Greece needed to be ditched. We thought the campsite would be a good place to gift them so drove down and Liz gave them to a mum with young son as they headed for the beach. Not needed on this sandy beach but might be handy in the future. After initial surprise at what the deal was, mum was very grateful. They had come in very handy for us those mats and not sure how you could enjoy Greek beaches without them, together with the protective foot coverings for when you traverse the pebbles into the water. Off we set for the airport and the car not due to be returned till about 1.20 pm. We could take it easy and not rush. Usual shenanigans at the end finding a garage to refuel. We found one after driving around a little, just a couple of kms from the airport though not on the main road in. The navigator was showing signs of concern especially as I had ignored a petrol station with about 17/18 kms still to go to the airport. Relief all round. Also finding our way to the car hire return necessitated negotiating a cryptic maze of signs. The trusty Narelle, the voice of google maps, proved not so trusty on this occasion and lead us up the garden path. She got us to the airport but then took us to the departure area even though signs were pointing to car rental in a different direction. In the end we closed her down and followed the signs which weren't exactly easy but we got there with around 45 mins to spare. Flight not parting for 4 hours so we settled down to wile away the time. It went. Flight took off pretty much on time around 6.00pm and was uneventful. Air Baltic which we booked through Alitalia. One bonus of booking thru Alitalia was that we got a baggage allowance of 23kgs as opposed to the air Baltic standard of 20 kgs. We were both just over the 20 kgs mark so handy. Plane was pretty new and seats much more user friendly than the Aussie squeezy ones with minimal leg room that we all now have to put up with. The flight landed at 9.45pm - on schedule. What I hadn't appreciated was that the Baltics are 1 hour ahead of Italy so the flight was only 2 hours 45 mins not the 3hours 45 that I expected. Usual bus to the terminal job which seemed to take a while by the time it was loaded up and also leaving the plane was a bit slow. However that all paled as from then on things went like a rocket. Appeared to be no customs to clear. We didn't show passports though the check in process had scrutinised them perhaps they rely on Air Baltic's processes. As we walked into the baggage area out came the bags. We were sitting in a taxi around 10.10 with a 15 minute drive to the centre of Riga. We were meeting good friends Sue and Peter Box in Riga so having spoken to and texted Peter from Rome saying we would see them in the morning given our late arrival, I now called him to say if they were still up we would have a jar in the bar. They were and we did. It was a nice way to end a pretty hassle free journey. Perhaps the only discordant note was a regular(ish) one. The taxi driver into Riga was an absolute grump. In fact downright rude. The hotel advised that we could get a slightly discounted taxi journey using red taxis who would be given a voucher when they delivered us to the hotel which the driver could then reclaim. This guy seemed ropable about it. Perhaps he wanted the cash but in truth the meter seemed to be less than the value of the voucher. We were staying at a Radisson and there are 4 Radisson hotels in town. He yelled at Liz " there are 4 madam which one is yours" and so on. Not a good intro. Never spoke the whole way there. No "where are you from", no discussion about Riga. He did lift our bags out but quickly disappeared. Another bloke in the wrong job or perhaps he'd had a bad day. Anyway, Latvia! After much planning we were here. A buzz. Also to be sharing it with Peter and Sue.

How BTS Paved the way
Okay so basically I wrote this as my JR paper for high school. I decided to write about BTS because I was allowed to pick what I wanted to write about and it's supposed to be a research/opinion page. It basically talks about what makes BTS so special and different from the rest. Its 16 pages long with citations and yeah that’s it basically. Please enjoy
@BTSCRAZED on IG AND TWT
The Entrepreneurs of Change: Why BTS is Different from the Rest
They’ve sold over ten million albums, sold out entire tours including their upcoming stadium tour with over one million attendees in a matter of 5 minutes, hold five world records and now known as the biggest boy band in the world. They are BTS and they paved the way for a new genre of music known as K-pop. This band has proved to be more than just a generic boy band. They have played a big role in a wave of new music and trends, created a strong fanbase who they’ve taught important life lessons like self-love and acceptance, broken many records, gain popularity all over the truly become the biggest boy band in the world but how come a boyband from one country (South Korea) managed to reach people around the globe?
First, let’s talk about what is K-pop and Korean pop culture? “They call it Hallyu, the Korean wave: the idea that South Korean pop culture has grown in prominence to become a major driver of global culture, seen in everything from Korean dramas on Netflix to Korean skincare regimens dominating the cosmetics industry to delicious Korean tacos on your favorite local menu. And at the heart of Hallyu is the ever-growing popularity of K-pop — short, of course, for Korean pop music” (Vox). K-pop has recently become very popular all over the world especially in the U.S. K-pop is often used as an umbrella term for all types of Korean music popular outside of Korea, so the genre can consist of rock bands, hip hop, indie, and basically any other type of music. The K-pop genre consists of main groups though there are solo artists who most of the time had previously been part, of other bands. Although you probably don’t know you have probably already been exposed to this wave especially if you visit Twitter regularly or were on YouTube in 2012 through 2013 when the song “Gangnam Style” by PSY came out. K-pop fans have a lot of power and can start trending thing in a matter of hours depending on the popularity of the idol they are promoting.  Korean pop culture is very different than American. It’s like a whole new world with new rules, vocabulary and just way of being fans. It’s all very well planned and based around main fanservice. Periodically or for special holiday and events, idols what K-pop fans call celebrities to have comebacks – which is when they release new albums and start a new concept for their music or performances- or release special packages and collaborations like makeup, photo books, concert DVDs and collectibles that they fans can buy. Along with those new comebacks or packages they hold fanservice events like music shows and fan meets. That is one of the biggest reasons K-pop is so popular and has a big fanbase. This is one of the biggest reasons I think that K-pop more specifically BTS has become so popular outside of Korea. But who is BTS?
Who is BTS? First, what does BTS even mean? BTS in Korean is Bangtan Sonyeondan meaning bulletproof boy scouts but in 2017 they officially changed their name to beyond the scene because they wanted fans to see beyond than just the scene in front of them. They are one of the most popular boy bands in the world at the moment BTS has been called next generation leader by Time magazine and “have grown beyond the bounds of traditional K-pop acts, making a splash everywhere from Chile to California. Their devoted followers styled as “ARMY,” have kept them trending on social media at most public appearances.” (Time). They hold the world record for most views in 24 hours with 78 million views on their newest song “Boy with luv” from their newest album Map of The Soul: Persona and at the same time broke the record for the fastest music video to reach 100 million views broken at one and a half days since its release. Each of the seven members is adored by thousands of people all over the world. Kim Namjoon goes by the stage name RM is the leader, producer, and one of 3 rappers of the group he is the only fluent English speaker and the first member to join the band. Next is Kim Seokjin or just Jin the eldest member and vocalist of the group he plays the role of the dad of the group though originally, he wanted to be an actor he has grown a lot and is now one of the best vocalists. Up Next is Min Yoongi or Suga the main rapper and producer very well known for his quiet yet savage personality. Then there’s Jung Hoseok aka J-hope he’s one of the main dancers, producers, and rappers of the group he is also the happy virus of the group he is everyone’s angel and hope. Now for the three Maknaes which in Korean means the youngest members of the group we have Park Jimin who’s is very well known for his powerful yet elegant looks that can capture both female and male attention. He is one of the main vocalists and dancer of the group. Followed by Kim taehyung or V which is his stage name. Who is another powerful visual and was actually voted most handsome face in the world in 2017 and also ranked #5 in 2018 he is also a vocalist of the group. Last but not least is Jeon Jeongguk or just Jungkook the youngest member yet unspeakably talented, main dancer, main vocalist and center face of the group who was also placed #2 in the most handsome faces in the world 2018. Together Those seven men hold so much power they’re not only all good looking but all extremely talented in different things that when put together make the best boyband in the world. They have the power to sell out anything with just a single tweet it's insane.  These seven boys didn’t just become famous overnight they made their debut but where were ignored and judged harshly until they broke through the charts in 2017 with all their hard work and the help of ARMY.
BTS is very well known because of their huge and very dedicated fanbase that will do anything to get them the recognition they deserve. This is because they have proven to be more than just a group of good-looking men that can sing, rap and dance. They try to share positive messages like self-love, touch on delicate topics like suicide and depression as well as being big supporters of the LGBT community by breaking gender-role buy wearing feminine clothes and makeup and advocating equality regardless of sexuality, gender, and race. All of this through music, videos, and campaigns that they launch. First, I want to talk about how they use their music and content to shine a light on controversial topics like mental health, sexuality, gender identity, growing up, finding yourself, and even political topics. Almost every music video that BTS release follows this storyline about a group of teenage boys and their struggles in growing up and finding the right path while facing different obstacles. The teenage boys are played by BTS of course and the story actually starts out from the very beginning of their career even though we had only figure out it was a storyline during a later era in 2017. The story begins with a group of rebellious teenagers who don’t like to follow the rules who are looking for acceptance and love which they get from each other. Each character hides their own demon and dark past. Namjoon the leader of the group of friend struggles with not know who he is and what he’s going with his life. Jin who is supposed to be the most mature member struggled with the fact that he’s growing up and being who his father wants him to be who forces him to betray his friends and leave them. Yoongi suffers from depression after his mother died in a fire and he couldn’t save her and holds himself guilty for and attempts to commit suicide. Hoseok was abandoned by his mother at an amusement park when was a small child and suffers from PTSD and also has narcolepsy which forces him to live in a hospital the majority of the time. Jimin is very similar to Hoseok they know each other the best because they were both forced to live in a hospital. Jimin suffers from abandonment issues but in the sense that he thinks everyone hates him and he isn’t good enough and also has seizures with an unknown and also tries to commit suicide at one point. Taehyung is a young delinquent who always seems to get in trouble. He isn’t a bad person he just has a bad life with an abusive father which leads him to murder his father one night trying to protect his sister. Then there’s Jungkook he’s the youngest he’s just trying to see his friends who are more like his brothers since they have basically raised him happy. He eventually realizes he can’t have the happiness or euphoria he wants and ends up committing suicide as well. That part of the story takes place during their albums called The Most Beautiful Moments in Life part one, The Most Beautiful Moments in Life part 2, Young Forever, and Wings.  Then continues in their Love Yourself series. Which is when they try and find a way to reverse time and fix all their mistakes or stop themselves from splitting up and killing themselves. I feel like this story is something that you really wouldn’t expect from a boyband of any kind. Which why I think it's so important and makes BTS special and different. What boy bands do you know that have tried to even touch on the topic on this level? Apart from incorporating important mental health and life issues. They have also encouraged people to show who they are and speak themselves. On November 1st, 2017 the group launched their Love Myself campaign in partnership with UNICEF. This campaign was created as an anti-violence campaign but, in my opinion, it has grown to be much bigger than that. Over the last two years, I have watched as BTS has grown and spread their message teaching everyone that they don’t need to hide who they are and shouldn’t be afraid who they are to the world. This message has even led them to speak at a united nations conference in New York making them the first ever Korean Band to do so. The leader of the band Namjoon who fans have since then called their “President” made a very touching speech on how to find yourself.  In the speech, Namjoon said, “After releasing the “Love Yourself” albums and launching the “Love Myself” campaign, we started to hear remarkable stories from our fans all over the world, how our message helped them overcome their hardships in life and start loving themselves. These stories constantly remind us of our responsibility. So, let’s all take one more step. We have learned to love ourselves, so now I urge you to speak yourself. I would like to ask all of you. What is your name? What excites you and makes your heart beat? Tell me your story. I want to hear your voice, and I want to hear your conviction. No matter who you are, where you’re from, your skin color, gender identity: speak yourself. Find your name, find your voice by speaking yourself. I’m Kim Nam Jun, RM of BTS. I’m a hip-hop idol and an artist from a small town in Korea. Like most people, I made many mistakes in my life. I have many faults and I have many fears, but I am going to embrace myself as hard as I can, and I’m starting to love myself, little by little. What is your name? Speak Yourself!". This is one of my favorite speeches Namjoon has ever given as a leader. I’m not going to say that they’re the only artist to ever say this, but they the apart of the few to have such a big impact and influence so many people. I’m also not going to tell you that because of them I have started to love myself, but I can say that I have learned to speak for myself and for what I do believe in. I have spoken out a lot about who I am where I come from like my sexuality and my immigrant background. All the things that the old me wouldn’t have done. But BTS has created a protective bubble that allows me to speak out and find more people like me be happier than I used to be. Because of I have become someone different who I like more than who I used to be. BTS have really set the stage for this new genre of music. Though they aren’t the first they are the only ones to have truly made an impact. The reason this one band from South Korea out of hundreds of other is because of their extremely strong a big fanbase.  Over 10 million fans can’t be wrong.
Like I mentioned previously BTS’ fanbase is called A.R.M.Y. which stands for Adorable representative MCs for Youth and their Job is to spread the message BTS is trying to give and this Army is extremely dedicated I mean extremely dedicated to their job. Ages ranging from 6 years old to 60 years old BTS is for everyone to enjoy. Their fanbase is all over the world promoting their boys. They spend hours every day creating a thing for BTS a promoting BTS through any way they can. On an interview for Billboard, an Army said, "We want to see them break records and write history." And that’s exactly what we are working for. There are thousands of fan account that are run on twitter an Instagram alone and I’m one of them. The point of these fan account it’s to keep the rest of the fanbase updated, create content, promote BTS, and recruited a new member for the fanbase. This is exactly what I do on my fan account every day on my fan account and literally any chance I can anywhere else. The mission is to promote and educate everyone about BTS this raises their popularity and success.  BTS fans are extremely dedicated to them for many different reasons. Some for their looks, others for their catchy music and of course for their message. “Their message is beyond just making good music. They talk about social issues. They stand for more than your typical boy band would stand for. I think that’s really important for people my age and the younger generation to really understand. Everything on social media, you kind of get desensitized to everything out there. But BTS brings it to the forefront. A lot of things that people younger than me or my age wouldn't care about or know about, they find out about because BTS cares about those things. That really sets them apart for me in comparison to anyone else out in the industry.”   says Christine Gee 27-year-old BTS ARMY for Billboard. I totally agree with her joined the fandom for the very same reason. A lot of people think that because their speaking in a different language their message is unimportant, and people don’t care but we do we translate and decipher the meaning behind everything they say and that’s the truly important part. These boys have voices too and that’s what army is here to promote. Doing that is its own process alone as well.
The process is very complicated, but we figure out the most efficient way to promote them however we can.  Take BTS’ new album for example first we take everything we know and piece it together like a puzzle. Which is a part of the idea of looking beyond the scene. Like I mentioned before they have a storyline to their videos.  We had already figured out it’s a storyline and every comeback they add a new part or chapter. So, we spend the 6 months between each album piecing the story together and creating theories and trending them on twitter so even while they are away they continue to be relevant. Which is very important in all fandoms and I believe that this fandom is the most active. I've been a ton of other fanbases and it gets boring eventually. We get bored and run out content, but the army is different they're always creating new memes or theories keeping the content relevant.  Once the comeback was confirmed they do many things they promoted it in every tweet they could and made sure to trend it then started setting new goals as well as participating in new activities released by BTS’ company. For the next month, Army spent all their free time trying to find even clues for the new comeback and preordering the album until we reach whatever goal we set for themselves this time we reached 2 million presales in the first 24 hours. Then they set goals for the music video and album streams the goal this time was to beat any previous record we had set so we settled on one hundred million views in 24 hours while the Korean fans who are called K-diamond army and Japanese fans the J-jewels were asleep every other army would stream the music video repeatedly. The American fanbase would buy single songs while the European armies would buy the whole album, so we could get the individual songs on the album on charts and then the full album all while still watching and sharing the new music video. That we get the album to be number one in more than 80 countries as well as making sure that the video and every trending tag on twitter are BTS related in order to capture more audience. Once the other armies were awake and together they set up street promotions by buying billboards and decorating train carts promoting BTS. That all was just for a new album. Every other day army promotes BTS by donating in their names. Every time it one of the members birthday Army donates to a cause.  For this year for Suga’s one of the rapper’s birthday a hundred of army donated blood under his name. For other members, we would adopt endangered species under their names and save those animals. they do things like this because they don’t just want them to be well known but also because they want them to be known for good deed. Of course, BTS themselves also pay parts in these kinds of projects. One of the members J-Hope recently donated 250 Million Won which is over $200,000 just for scholarships for female students. They also normally don’t like when we buy them gifts so why not spend money on a good cause. It’s our job, in the end, we are their representatives we have to make them look good. Like I mentioned before I had been a part of many other big Fanbases and I have never seen this amount of dedication or activity. Not even the Directioners fans of One Direction the who previously were biggest boy band in the world. I feel like this type of dedication has been part of their rise to fame. The amount of time and loyalty they put in is like no other.
Many people argue that army is a very toxic and aggressive fanbase because of how dedicated we are to promote BTS and sometimes can start fights for being too dedicated with fans of other groups by boasting of our success and achievements. Other times is for being too dedicated for example in many occasions interview misphrase or say things criticize them harshly and Army goes on a rampage against them. For example, Richard Lloyd Parry who is a British foreign correspondent and writer. Parry interviewed BTS and made an insensitive comment about one of the members Namjoon who is the only fluent English speaker in the group English. Of course, Army wasn't happy at all and started to tweet hate at Parry and forced him to apologize publicly because of the insensitive comment. Army said very harsh thing which I witnessed on twitter thought it was very harsh but I believe that he deserved it not only cause I’m army and I support BTS until my last breath but because if this was said to any non-English speaker I would be upset especially since English isn't my first language either its really upsetting when someone underestimates your hard work because you speak differently. In an article about why BTS are way too dedicated and must be stopped it says “BTS fans are young, and youthful adoration isn’t meant to be measured or sensible. Those teenagers you see in floods of tears at Beatles concerts? Not measured, but joyous and warm, a life-affirming testament to the power of pop culture. But that passion, combined with the facelessness of social media, has given rise to something ugly and extreme, aggression that sullies the band’s name. The BTS ARMY marches on a message that is exclusionary, intolerant of others. You wonder if BTS are fearful of their own, intense fanbase.” (NME). I don't agree nor disagree with this quote cause I myself am one of those extremely dedicated fans. I agree that the pressure can get to the boys and all I care about is their happiness and wellbeing the last thing I want to do is hurt them and make them feel bad or ashamed but then again BTS and army have a very strong connection and they always express their love for us the same way we express our love for them. I believe the reason that army acts like this is because BTS has always been put under everyone’s else and now they are finally getting recognition and we won’t let anyone ruin that for ashough criticism is great and everyone has a right to their opinions army strongly believe in the phrase if you don't have anything nice to say don't say it at all we understand when you say that the music isn't your type and it’s not for you that totally understandable but if you come to us with “BTS sucks they don't even speak English why do you like them they look like girls” you're basically signing your death wish. So yes, we are aggressive but without Army, BTS would literally be unknown because people are ignorant and unfair for who they pick to like. By promoting them this way they have proven so many people wrong and have made BTS proud.  Army has made BTS the powerful people that they are today.
BTS is breaking more records than other any other foreign artist in the U.S. but why? There are thousands of other Bands in all kind of languages, but they aren’t making the same impact? I honestly think it’s because of their fanbase and the way that they promote themselves. There is a formula to be the biggest boyband in the world. First, you need good music with a message that people want to hear. Many artists nowadays like to either talk about sex or drugs. BTS chose to instead choose to talk about self-love and acceptance but at the same time making their music fun and energetic. Next you need to promote it this can come in many ways BTS chooses to release a “comeback trailer” which is what American artist calls a single before the full album comes out they also release photoshoot sets that connect to the concept of the album to get fans excited to buy all the album typically one album comes with one version of the photo shoot and there are typically four different photo shoots so as a good fan you would want to buy all four raising the album preorders and sales. Speaking of fans, you need a big fanbase you need an audience to share it and watch it that’s where army comes in like I previously talked about we promote BTS any chance we can and divide up the streams in order to get them to trend in as many places as possible and beat as many records as possible. That’s how you become the biggest boy band in the world. Now you’re probably asking yourself okay but so many artists do that how come only BTS is getting all the attention. My answer to that is luck I believe they were lucky that so many people grow to like them, and they really do create amazing music that I believe many people can relate to something another artist may be doing. For example, BTS is made up of rappers, vocalist and dancers all with different styles, for example, one rapper is more into hip hop while the other Is more into RnB and the other is straight rap. Same with the vocalist part is pop the other part is a ballad and sometimes even rock. All different types that can reach different people and when you put them together everyone can enjoy at least a little bit of it. in comparison, you take a big artist like let’s say Drake who is a rapper very popular with today’s youth who into rap the same with Ariana Grande who makes pop music typically popular with the youth only reaching one type of audience. While BTS has all these different genres making more open to different groups of people. Which is very important because with a little of everything you get a lot and that’s what makes BTS special. They get a little bit of everything and when that comes together it creates something big.
Now you’re probably telling yourself I understand that they’re popular in America and different from American artist but what makes them different from other artists in Korea. First, let's talk about what the entertainment companies or record labels in Korea look like. Before BTS’ big success there was the “Big Three” a term used when talking about the three most successful record labels in South Korea. The big three includes SM entertainment which still is home to the biggest artist in the K-pop industry, JYP interment who also is very big and has some of the best artists in my opinion and lastly YG interpatient which has a lot of new talent. BTS comes from a small company called Bighit entertainment was essentially broke up until BTS success and is only home to now 4 different artists. But now the tables have turned and with the help of BTS bight has surpassed the big three by bringing in billions of dollars just from BTS related sales. But how? BTS Isn’t the first group to make it to the U.S. and stay on top.  We all remember PSY who came from SM entertainment Back in 2013 who was really successful and the first Korean artist to become a global phenomenon. “Gangnam Style was phenomenal, but PSY’s persona was consumed as a character, not as an artist,” Choi says. “He didn’t have a strong fan base like other idol groups, but [US promoter] Scooter Braun found him marketable and introduced him to the American mass media. Despite his long career and musical talent, Psy was depicted in the United States as a hilarious, thus non-threatening, Asian male stereotype.” (SCMP). I agree with this yes PSY was huge and everyone was crazy for him but in American pop culture, he was a one-hit wonder. He did make more music which I absolutely loved and is honestly a big part of K-pop culture except no one outside of the K-pop fandom know about it and that’s the problem. The same thing happened with a boy band called Big Bang and before that all in 2009 a less popular girl group called the Wonder Girls who had made it into billboard charts and even toured with the Jonas brother in 2009. All those bands had tried but failed to stay popular in the U.S. afterward. After that, no other band had tried promoting like that in the U.S. until BTS appeared in the charts in 2017 and managed to stay there. Something that no other Korean artist has done in a long time. After that BTS started to pave the way for other Korean bands like NCT, Black Pink, and EXO on talk shows and award shows. They did what no other band was doing, and they didn’t even come from one of the big entertainment companies that exist in South Korea. Korean artist themselves have even agreed to this idea. A former member of the Wonder Girls and literally the biggest solo artist in Korean right now Sunmi mentioned BTS in one of her interviews when told that her work with the wonder girls had paved the way for K-pop in the United States. She replied “No BTS did” I find this so amazing because as a K-pop fan I am telling she is and OG she’s the first of the first a legend in K-pop books. For her to deny her part in the path of K-pop today and give BTS credit for their work is amazing. Army themselves couldn’t believe it but we totally agree with her.   Though they weren’t the first to start the pave the path into popularity in the U.S. they did finish paving the way for a new artist to come.
In conclusion, seven Korean boys are now the biggest band in the world. Paving the way for many new artists to come and becoming global superstars. They’re doing this in many different ways. For example, using their popularity to shine a light on important controversial topics, having extremely dedicated fans and lastly for making great music for almost anyone. BTS are truly the entrepreneurs of change.
