Alternate ending for Tangled in Red

Hello :)) so it is officially a year since I published the final chapter of Tangled in Red, the Soulmate AU fanfic for the Breach/Sova pairing. I thought I would post alternate ending notes that I thought about before going for a happier ending. (mentions nsfw stuff under the keep reading)

Originally, I wanted something a lot more depressing as an end. It was supposed to be one where Sova and Breach didn’t get together again. When I planned the final expansion and increasing the amount of chapters, I wanted to have this big break that feels like the end (which stayed in the published version), but I needed some way to keep them apart. So one ending I thought about was one where they don’t necessarily fix any problems they have, only ignore them under the guise that comfort in routine and not being alone was better than actually permanently ending things.

Right after the major break up scene Sova and Breach would still separate Sova would work himself dead tired and Breach would go through a near death experience. (they do not meet in this period like they did in the story)

After they meet up again, they sleep together, and even if the feeling is fleeting, they prefer that to being alone.

It continues, hook up after hook up, and it kills any remaining attraction that Breach and or Sova feel towards each other.

The final straw is one day when Breach runs into the ex that showed up in a previous chapter. He does sleep with them but then realizes that he feels the same with the ex as he does with Sova. When he meets with Sova again, he tells him that he feels more alone with Sova than by himself.

Even if it hurts, they both can agree that they haven’t fixed anything.

It’s both of them realizing that they both were at fault for how the relationship ended. They have one mission together where they work well together and realize that this small bit of respect and teamwork was the most they felt about the other in months now.

There would be an epilogue with them, post valorant era where they are out together at a bar, and they’re friends. And there would be a sad note there as they realize that they wished that their days could all be as peaceful as them right now, as in they wish they had the loving relationship they planned all those years ago. There is no indication that they ever will get together again, and the story would end there.

I hope that was interesting to read! If anyone has other questions feel free to ask (not necessarily about tangled in red), otherwise I go back to watching Mayday videos and thinking about writing LOL.

Phantom refuses and saying he's a supervillian not a lost puppy.

Turns out this was a part of Bruces plan however as Phantom now sees people all over tv talking about him and the Waynes and already considering him a new member of the family. They're even asking when there will be a face reveal. There was a reason he was wearing a mask! He. Is.. A. Villian. What about that do these people not get?!

Unfortunately I don't have the patience to draw all them itty bitty tiles so I kinda cheated and used a stone texture layer on top (^-^')\

Hope you don't mind but I gave a couple more details to our favorite celestial-bull couple.

I mean Iron Fan is supposedly an empress of an empire right? Why not make her look the part? I didn't know how to bling up DBK though...

Also you might notice, I've drawn the samadhi flower! It has four big petals and four small in between (nod to the four rings) a pattern within shaped like flames (self explanatory) and a center with the 3 swirly thingy symbol (idk what it's called)

LIL BABY RED SON!!!!

They were such a joy to draw! And ngl it was hard to draw everyone not pissed off....

They all have the sharp features!

You might notice right next to the lil baboo, DBK's hands are kinda charred to a crisp (I read the 1st chapter, yes I know) but this boi is grinning like there's no tomorrow with his wife and child and we love that for him!

There's a pot of burning incense which the chinese use for the dead which I don't think the ironbull couple would like very much.

Like they'd let the townsfolk do it, they're just being respectful, but they'd still resent it in hopes that their son is still alive somewhere

whoever edited that bsd official art to make it look like chuuya is holding onto dazai’s arm will be put on trial for irrevocably changing my brain chemistry and making me so much worse

the original and the edit in question. this artwork really makes me crave a mid to late 19th century historical au where Chuuya is a swordsman struggling with changes to his job due to the meiji restoration and with Dazai as a detective/private investigator who hires Chuuya as his bodyguard when a seemingly harmless investigation turns dangerous. they kind of hate each other (as per usual) but Chuuya needs the job and Dazai, while he proclaims to dislike chuuya, is also very smitten with chuuya’s fighting style and temper (as per usual).

Recently realized that I’m getting close to it being 1 year since I finished Tangled in Red. It is the longest fic I’ve ever completed, and it got me a lot of my current followers. NOT MY AU, fanart for an au

It was really fun to draw lbd's glowing eyes.

I imagine red son would've worn the blue attire when younger and the ice crystal to show the trust they put in lbd.

Also it was surprisingly hard to draw RS with the regular angry eyebrows and make it look cute.

Furthermore, no glasses. And no ponytail. I know its RS's signature but on a baby? No.

The twin buns really make him look like Nezha, but the twin buns were a common hairstyle for children back then I think and I saw someone else use the twin buns for kid red son too.

(finally remembered to draw Red Son's tail this time, its like a little paintbrush!)
