My point is Kaz hasn't dealt with the loss of his brother (why have I not used his name once? Bitch idfk my bad Jordie you deserve better bestie), which was a meaningless death. And by that I mean Jordie didn't sacrifice himself for some cause, he wasn't a casualty of a greater issue ... He just died. Because that what people do.

And especially for a kid who's all alone with not a single soul left on the earth who gives a damn about him, that's a pretty tricky concept to grasp. And that's repaying violence with violence, which leads to more violence. It's a cycle of destruction that Kaz is playing into, which is very hard to get out of once it starts.

But reuniting Harij and Inej is a break in that cycle. It's Kaz using his own pain as motivation and incentive to do something that will heal others. And making sure that neither Inej nor Harij get caught in the same cycle as Kaz did, it's using his own knowledge of that cycle to protect others from it. And more specifically, he doesn't know how to heal himself, he doesn't know how to move on or process and grieve, he doesn't know how to leave the cycle ... So he's helping Inej and Harij heal from their pain instead, and making sure they never enter the cycle.

Because he probably is well aware that revenge isn't the healthiest way to channel grief (but bro doesn't care because Pekka needs to be put in his place and we stan him for that), but channeling it into helping someone he loves is healthy.

And real talk here

Kaz probably believes he will never move on or heal from Jordie's death. Thus him being trapped in the ouroboros of suffering ... And go with me here.

If we view the ouroboros (snake eating its own tail if y'all don't know) as a literal scenario Kaz is trapped in, it's a mental prison basically, and one he has accepted that he will never leave. His fate is sealed, and he can't do anything to save himself from that.

BUT even if he can't ever break out of the ouroboros, he can keep others out, he can't save himself but he can save others from being trapped there as well.

And because of this he won't have to deal with the fact that he's trapped, he can focus all his energy on keeping others out ... And it gives it meaning. That even though he's trapped forever and can't do anything for himself, he can do something for other people because of it. Because the only way to avoid the ouroboros is if someone inside warns you.

That was a wild metaphor I hope that made sense lol

Also once again these are my head canons and I wrote it from Kaz's perspective so to speak, so when I say things like He cAn NEVer HeAl that's because that's what he thinks (imo) not what is objectively true. Healing is absolutely possible and bro can get it he just doesn't know it yet.)

Dracula Season Watch Party: Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992)

The centuries old vampire Count Dracula comes to England to seduce his barrister Jonathan Harker's fiancée Mina Murray and inflict havoc in the foreign land. - Dir. Francis Ford Coppola

I haaaaaaaaaaaaated this the one and only other time I watched it because, for a movie calling itself Bram Stoker's Dracula, it sucks ass at adapting the novel. It hits all the beats but misses the themes and adds extra stuff, and Jonathan doesn't even go after the Count with a shovel, ffs. However, it is technically one of The Most Faithful adaptations we have to date, which is impressive considering how much story there is to adapt. And if I stop being such a purist turd.... *sigh* it's a good movie.

Like..... REALLY good. The costumes, the colors, the music, the camera work, everything has such a surreal vibe, and the scene transitions move with something like dream logic. Actually, I think "movement" sums up everything I loved. Shots moving around a scene, SO MUCH gauzy fabric moving in a breeze, Dracula and Mina moving through a crowd. It's ✨pretty✨

It's also horny AF. Jesus Christ.

That being said, I think the criticism I've seen saying this version turns Lucy into a slut is pretty unfair. She and Mina gossip about their relationships (and kiss in the rain, by god I ship it), and she's flirtatious with the suitor squad, big deal. She's never overtly sexual until she starts becoming a vampire, and that's nothing that doesn't already happen in the book. The two scenarios don't compare. One is established friendships that come equipped with camaraderie and intimacy, the other is a corruption. Like, that's literally what's happening, and that's where the horror comes from. As for this version's take on her sleepwalking, we are NOT calling that slut behavior. That's all I'm saying.

Speaking of the suitor squad (Lucy's potential fiances, for the uninitiated), I understand there is only so much you can squeeze into a two hour run time, but I wish they had more time to shine. I need more of Quincey being a manly man with the most golden heart of gold ever. I need more of Jack being the most lovesick and emo wreck of a human with a side of medical malpractice. Most importantly, I need Cary effing Elwes to have more to do as Art. Not that any one of Lucy's boyfriends loves her more than the others, but I feel like Art's devotion to her is given more weight because he was the one Lucy chose to marry, and ASDFGHJKL. You can't cast CARY ELWES, aka WESTLEY THE FARM BOY, of Thee Greatest Movie Ever Made The Princess Bride, and then NOT give him any room to work in that space. He could have eaten that shit up! You know it! I know it! The only people who apparently don't know it are the people who called the shots on everything from the script to the casting, because if we had spent more time with canon couple Art and Lucy and less with fanon couple Drac and Mina, WE COULD HAVE HAD IT ALL. *insert Adele gif because I couldn't actually find one*

While we're on the subject of Dracula and Mina as lovers doomed across centuries, YES, it's fucking romantic as shit and I've come across the concept in other stories and would have snorted that shit if possible, BUT. The addition here detracted from time we could have spent on Lucy, as mentioned above, and despite what I've said about that so far, I understand why you'd make that call. If there's going to be an epic Gothic romance, it might as well be the focal point of the story and therefore needs to happen between the leads. But.

BUT.

THAT'S ALREADY IN THE SOURCE MATERIAL. IT'S MINA AND JONATHAN!!!!! Jonathan Harker is peak Gothic wifeguy. Dude never stops thinking about how awesome his wife is and how much he loves her, and I can't even think about his refusal to let her be condemned to hell alone and his determination to damn himself with her if she became a vampire without getting in fits about it. He said "fuck God if he doesn't love Mina, he's not good enough for her and I love her enough for both of us," and you think ANY other love story can beat THAT??? They did my good friend Jonathan so so dirty.

On the subject of my good friend Jonathan, I know I'm not the only one who thinks Keanu Reeves would look so. Fucking. HOT. With gray hair. I don't know what they did to him in the back half of this movie, but rather than be disappointed in how fake it looks, I'm choosing to look forward to the day we finally get Silver Fox Keanu.

Other details I loved now that I'm done complaining include Mina's wardrobe echoing Elizabeta's gown in the prologue, red light reflecting off Renfield's glasses when he's talking about his master, red appearing more prominently in Mina's and Lucy's wardrobe as they fall under Dracula's influence, the zoom-in on the bite marks on Lucy's neck transitioning into the wolf's glowing eyes in the next scene, Dracula's shadow moving independently of his body, everything Anthony Hopkins is doing as Van Helsing, and the entire standoff between him and Mina and the brides.

I think I've said all I feel like saying, and it took a full 24 hours to stop talking, so in summary: I DO like this more than I used to, but I like it more when looking at it on its own merit and not as an adaptation. What I like, I really like. What I don't like, pretty much has to do with how it differs from the book. The most important part is that I had fun watching. Even if there aren't any flappy bats on a string.🥂

Pit Babe - Ep 12

Ok, for me it was the best of the Pit Babe episodes because there was no Charlie and BabeCharlie the action focused on my favorite characters: Way, Pete and Kenta. Also Babe was in the version I like him the most: brooding, badass, tough, focused, at his best. I know the general consensus is that everyone likes him as a soft mama simp, but to me Babe is best when he's strong and a bad boy and the only soft and pathetic person on this show is and should be Way. Sorry, but this is how I feel about Babe 🙂

Just look at them 😍 Way was completely useless in this scene apart from being stylish in clothes that showed off his ass, and Babe immediately jumped into action. Perfection.

I love the dynamics of these four, how they work together, but also the interesting conflicts and clashes between them. I like how each of them is completely different, each has its own story, its own distinctive personality. I also like their style, how they ✨slaaay✨. I especially love the style of a secretly lesbian wealthy aristocratic widow whose husband died in mysterious circumstances, which Way wears with such grace and naturalness 😍 Way's style, the way he carries himself, his pathetic aura, and his weak little princess vibe make him my favorite character, and I'm not surprised that Pete spends his evenings staring at his drunk ass. You shouldn't have casted Nut if you wanted me to dislike Way. It is physically impossible for me not to like him and Nut is 100% responsible for that 🤷‍♀️

I'm glad that the series devoted a lot of time to showing Kenta's life in this house of horrors, with The Father. It's good that this cruel scene between Tony and Kenta was not short, but was allowed to show all of Tony's cruelty and why Kent is like that.

Finally, I will just say that all of Pete, Way, Kenta and Babe's efforts go to their vibes only and pining for the other boys because they are extremely dumb and incompetent 😭 They never succeed, even Winner outplays them, Winner! (and I think it's the second time?), Jeff is trapped for the SECOND TIME, and they also walked into a trap set by Tony, which was soooo predictable. But I'm not complain! Because they still look great and are still highly shippable (Babe and Way in the pool scene look exceptionally beautiful) 👌👌👌👌 And I'm just fond of them, ok?

I adore being a girl. 💋

Since the beginning of the year, I’ve been literally living my mornings, afternoons and evenings on Pinterest, and as I’ve been scrolling, I’ve come across so many pretty pictures, of simple girly things that just make me so happy. Bottles of perfume, lipgloss, other pretty girls, pink clothes, bags, shoes, outfit combinations, pretty bedrooms, skincare, makeup. All kind of things I didn’t ever used to particularly romanticise and see the true beauty of up until this year. Since January I’ve not taken anything for granted, in terms of enjoying my life on this planet as a girl. There’s so many things I love to do, that I just don’t often think about. But since the beginning of 2023, I’ve been doing so many little girly tasks and activities, and I thought I’d share them with you 🎀

🎀 Take a shower every morning, using the sweetest, sugary, and most divine shower products you can

🎀 Invest in cotton candy scented soaps, scrubs, shower gel, body lotion, hand cream

🎀 Have pretty makeup products. This will motivate you to want to do your makeup on days your not feeling it

🎀 Lipgloss & Mascara are essentials. Keep them in your purse for quick top up’s throughout the day

🎀 In your purse keep genuine essentials. A tiny mirror, hairbrush, lipgloss & mascara, headphones, emergency money and tissues/hand sanitiser

🎀 Save up your money. You know that one thing you’ve wanted for ages? (Dior bag for me ) Put some money aside each month to eventually pay out for it

🎀 Devote every Sunday to a pamper day. (Or one day a week) Wash your hair, manicure, pedicure, exfoliate, moisturiser, do a face mask, hair mask The lot ✨

🎀 Get an early night for an early morning, and do one girly thing before bed. Read a beautiful story, listen to soft music or your favourite song, watch a comfort episode of your favourite show. But try not to go on a screen 45 minutes before you actually sleep

🎀 Take time out of your day to do things YOU enjoy, playing a video game, reading a book, whatever you enjoy doing. Self care is important too

🎀 If the weather is appropriate, go on daily walks. I live in the countryside in the UK, so the weather isn’t always on my side but for people that live in hot climates, don’t take your beautiful weather for granted!

🎀 Even on windy days, a compact brush goes a long way. Keep your hair healthy, maintained. Have a hair care routine, and go to the hairdressers every 1-2 months (if you can) if you want that extra pampering feeling

🎀 Thrift to find the best stuff! Designer clothes are heavenly, but nearly ALL of my clothes are thrifted! (Some thrifted things are cuter than designer) and you can find so many vintage sales! Check TK/J MAX for Juicy Couture)

🎀 Maintain a healthy diet, but never fear to compensate when it’s that time of the month 🤒 One of my favourite, (but healthy in moderation) sweet treats are dark chocolates and it can help with cramps, so it’s a win win!

🎀 Paint your nails pink. Baby pink, hot pink, dusty pink. Just… pink

🎀 Invest in some new girly stationary. Pink notepads, pink pens. Girly stationary = girly notes & girly planning

🎀 If it’s pink and girly, buy it :)

🎀 Collect pretty jewellery! Silver or gold, or pink :))

🎀 If exercise is your thing, invest in some pink gym wear

🎀 Always keep a pair of earphones/headphones/AirPods with you to listen to girly music wherever you go. The world can seem so boring without pink, bubblegum music

🎀 Bored? Go shopping. Day off? Go shopping. No friends? Go shopping. Loads of friends? Go shopping

🎀 Have a signature scent, so people always know it’s you.

🎀 Have a box in your room dedicated to hair accessories.

🎀 Make your room girly! Pink floral bedsheets, a vanity, and fairy lights are all staples

🎀 Boys are cute but don’t obsess over them. Obsess over pink instead <3

🎀 Watch girly cartoons! It’s not childish and if it makes you happy, then it’s worth it. I love ANYTHING Barbie, I watch all of her content religiously :)

🎀 Start watching Barbie life in the dream house. This sounds niche but it’s SO cute and watching Barbie being effortlessly girly will imprint in your brain, trust meeeee

🎀 Lastly, and the most important of them all. Don’t force any of this. If your a girly girl, your a girly girl and there is nothing you can do about it! But these are just habits I tend to keep up, because I enjoy doing all of them. Don’t take being girly for granted, even when your just putting your perfume or body spray on before you go out, that’s such a lovely girly act, and remember that. Orrrrr maybe I’m just queen of over romanticising everything. Either way just implant these habits day by day and you will start to see girly changes <3

Guardian vol 2

Putting some of my thoughts of the second volume here. I'm very excited to continue reading the last part too, this story is definitely one of my new favourites. Under the cut for spoilers.

I had a lot of fun with the backstories and reveals in this volume. Like even tho I know some of what was coming mainly with Shen Wei and Zhao Yunlan's backstories, I was still surprised by the details and the actual sequence of events in the past. Also the image of Zhao Yunlan as an old god who's slowly lost all hope and faith in humanity and the heavens to the point that he's willing to destroy everything and start anew is sooooo interesting and like, so much to chew there!

Speaking of that, so far Zhao Yunlan is topping my list of sexiest characters ever along with my faves wenzhou. He's so cocky and competent and sexy and clever and seductive AND SEXY DID I MENTION THAT jdsbskjd some of the lines he says to Shen Wei are so swoon-worthy I'm dead on the floor. I love how much he doesnt give a fuck about pissing off anyone as long as he can take care of what he deems /his/.

I didn't feel as strongly connected to Shen Wei probably because he doesn't really get much focus or at least not as much as Zhao Yunlan. I really liked whenever we got little glimpses into what's going on in his head and obviously really REALLY liked when the flashbacks started introducing how he used to be at the very beginning when Kunlun first met him (that first meeting scene was HILARIOUS AND I LOVED IT). I hope there is more of his pov in the last volume.

Also speaking of the flashbacks, ok I'm wondering something - I feel like the flashback we got at the end wasn't the full extend of what happened? Because that scene goes from their first meeting to then a couple of weeks later? when everything ends and Kunlun dies. And we don't really see what happens bw Kunlan seeing this demon boy for the first time and deciding he's trustworthy enough to make him the sole guardian of the seal. Also the way present day Shen Wei talks about Kunlun makes it seem they spent A LOT more time together, not just dealing with the floods and other disasters.

BTW THE SEXIEST SCENE FOR ME WHEN ZHAO YUNLAN GOES ALL CRAZY AND POSSESSIVE AT THE THOUGHT OF SHEN WEI DYING??? Feeling insane about it tbh

Another subplot and subsequent reveal I really liked was the whole thing with Chu Shuzhi. That I definitely didn't see coming lmao

Also is it me or are there some ✨ vibes ✨between him and Guo Changcheng?? Pls tell me I'm not imagining it.

Shen Wei's utter devotion to Zhao Yunlan is so heart-clutchingly intense and I just looove when a character is so down bad. Which is also true about Zhao Yunlan who is SO ready and willing for the whole marriage/house/picket fence life. It's really lovely to read how badly he wants that with Shen Wei.

I said in my other post that I really do think they're like obsessed with each other on a cosmic level that transcends all their lives and years and that's so delicious tbh. Most reincarnation stories I've read make that a source of conflict for the couple and I'm really interested to see how this plays out with weilan. Zhao Yunlan doesnt seem bothered that he's had previous lives or that Shen Wei first fell in love with his past self but more like he and Kunlun were/are the same person, just reincarnated through time?

Last thing I want to mention, it took me a while to get it but I am a BIG fan of the way Shen Wei's darker violent urges pop up here and there concerning Zhao Yunlan and then he doesnt act on them because he literally can't bear the thought and is not physically capable of doing anything that might harm his beloved.

what do you like and dislike about ffh

FFH is an average MCU movie and a bad Spider-Man movie that— to me— exemplifies everything bad about MCU Peter in a way that made HOCO worse in retrospect and is why NWH had to do so much heavy work in soft rebooting the franchise in the first place.

The Good

MJ had more to do in this movie than she did in HOCO which is a step up, but most of what happened with and around her is Bad. But, bare minimum she actually had speaking lines that went beyond (solely) quips so there’s that.

She was also in the FOS, albeit briefly and proved all our theories that she figured it out / knew his secret. I liked that.

The bridge kiss slaps sorry. It was completely unearned and everything leading up to that as a climax for them is Bad but the kiss itself? The music? The happy little skip? Chef’s kiss.

The Ned and Betty romance was cute and very high school. I liked it.

Flash Thompson was actually perfect in this movie. So many people can’t ever shut the fuck up about how HOCO Flash is “mean” to Peter and while he’s a bit of a dick, he’s still a dick in FFH but it feels more playful. The scraps of Peter looking unbothered as he jokes with him in the hotel, of Flash trying to talk to him on the bus (before Peter knocks him out), the PERFECT line of asking his driver where his parents are??? Tony Revolori you will be avenged.

Peter took hit after fucking hit in this movie and ✨ walked it off ✨ for all the iron boy jr complaints (which are mostly unearned from canonical context), Peter proves yet again that at the end of the day he does not and has never needed Stark’s tech and toys to get the job done.

The Bad

where to start, idk maybe the entire premise I hate that Quentin Beck was a SI employee. Why. Why is he connected to Tony. Why is everything about MCU Peter Parker’s life gave to be fucking tied to Tony. If you’re going to do that, at least make it interesting and have Peter push back, question, wonder about Tony’s influence in his life rather than utter blind devotion and fan worship as a proxy for the audience

Also that— FFH was a palate cleanser for the audience post Endgame and Peter’s story suffers for it. Why is he an audience proxy. I fully believe MCU Peter, who saw Tony fucking die right in front of him, would be messed up about it. But from the narrative, that’s the only thing he’s messed up about. Not the fact that he died. Not that the world moved on. Not his own place in that world and with Spider-Man.

Not wanting to be Spider-Man is also really fucking stupid. “But seek didn’t that happen in SM2 and don’t you love that movie” yeah and that was for Peter’s motivations for what HE wanted in a way that built off the first movie, not out of fuvking nowhere and having to squeeze out subtext for why he went from being proud to be a friendly neighborhood Spider-Man and then wants to suddenly take a break. He died in space and I can absolutely argue that’s why (and have) but he never actually expresses any emotion similar to that in canon. I’m not a dumb ass I don’t need my hand held but I do need the narrative to actually Say Things and FFH fundamentally doesn’t do That.

You know what else the narrative doesn’t do? Jack shit for MJ. It will FOREVER annoy me that canon not only said “hey Peter likes MJ know just accept it” but that fandom GLEEFULLY accept it what is wrong with all of you. That’s bad! It’s bad writing! It’s bad character work! It’s bad for MJ That her most significant role in this trilogy is Girlfriend. I’m irritated! This could’ve been the perfect movie to have them be friends and to SHOW Peter falling for her instead of just telling us 15 minutes in that Peter really likes MJ. Bitch where! How!!

Ned’s treatment is also a crime. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, the MCU can only handle (3) relationships max and Ned didn’t make the cut for this movie. He was worse than comedic relief I hate it here.

Which also extends to May???? Where did May “cut the bullshit” Parker go???? Instead we get a flighty “hehe packed ur suit xoxo” kind of ditz??? Who is that woman!? Did the Skrulls impersonate her too??? Bad work and bad writing that severely undercut NWH’s impact.

They should never have been in Europe I’ve complained a lot about that and I’m right. It’s a stupid decision that makes zero sense in-world.

The entirety of Happy’s involvement further proves that when it comes to canonical irondad/ironfam, the only person who actually has an onscreen relationship that you don’t have to heavily pull from subtext and projection is Happy Hogan. He’s the one Peter talked to most in HOCO and he’s the one who was there for him in FFH (and most of NWH for that matter). It’s bad because I don’t like Happy fucking Hogan taking more of a narrative priority than May Parker but good at least in that undercuts most of irondad’s delusions that Tony was canonically the most important person in Peter’s life. If anyone was, it was Happy.

Most if not all of MCU Spider-Man’s problems start and end with FFH imo. HOCO wasn’t a perfect movie and there’s some fundamental issues had in it but those could’ve been easily tweaked had FFH not leaned in SO HARD to all its worst impulses. Honestly, NWH would’ve been an entirely different movie had FFH been a better one and I stand by that.

1 . What made you ship them?

It was something in particular about how in the BTS character story Perth said Ken always calls Big "P'Big" wheras Ken is always "Ai'Ken" to Big that really. OOF. Also the way they come as a little duo 90% of the time (do not separate them)

2 . What are your favourite things about the ship

The unevenness of it all. Ken being the more outspoken and physical and confidant one but Big being his senior and superior (a dynamic that sticks even when Ken becomes Kinn's head bodyguard)

Big still being in love with Kinn. Ken's name being just similar enough if its whispered between the sheets. I just. God. THEY. It's the fact they're best friends, they're kind-of eachothers only real friends but even by the first time we ever see them Ken has been betraying the main family for a long time already and Big would never forgive him if he knew. It's Ken resenting Kinn because he knows Big is in love with him. That's not why he's the mole, thats not the whole reason. But it was the seed of resentment that gave Vegas the "in".

Oh and it's Nodt saying he's glad Big died before finding out Ken was the mole. FML.

3 . Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship

I think my actually controversial opinion is that it's one of, if not *the* best ship in KinnPorsche. On the fact that it has Pining and unrequited love, and they were roommates, and doomed from the start, and proxyfucking, and friends with benefits, and friends to lovers, and and and and. It's everything. Also Perth and Nodt hot. I rest my case.

1 . What made you start shipping them?

Listen. Between the ring (matching Tawans, matching Kinns' boys too) and Gun saying "What the fuck were you doing with Vegas?" I knoW it happened. I KNOW.

2. What are your favourite things about the ship

I really enjoy Vegas' use of english to like exclude or lie or create this sense of insular separation between him and others. And I think it would be incredibly interesting to watch Ken get lulled into a sense of security by that. To immediately feel like he was on the inside of an inside joke with Vegas and develop a carefully manufactured closeness in a way he never could with Kinn.

Again I feel like I'm running into a worrying theme of "I just love their deeply fucked up dynamic" but I love the idea of Ken having a bit of a god complex over the fact that he "has" Vegas. As we know with Tawan and Porsche, Vegas is so incredibly good at showing the side of himself that's most endearing to his mark. To Tawan it was the promise of a soft and equal love and devotion, to Porsche it was that he was a plucky underdog "just like him" and to Ken it has to be that Vegas "loves" Ken more than Ken loves him. Of course he does. Ken is better than Big. It's easy for him. Mafia heirs fall at his feet and he's not smug about it he's not, he's not thinking about Big no he isnt! he isn't he isn't he isn't.

KEN SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN A FLASHBACK. Also I think that Ken still being in love with Big while fucking Vegas "because he can" is the stuff dreams are made of.

Liam rolled his eyes, but stood up from his chair, stretching before coming up behind Louis to watch. Louis put the speaker up to his mouth.

“Hey Siri?”

Siri clicked on and Louis heard Liam snicker behind him. He kicked him in the shin and continued.

“Will Harry Styles ever text me?” Louis looked back at Liam and Liam just smirked at him.

“Sending text to Harry Styles: Will you ever text me?”

Louis nearly dropped his phone in horror. He pressed every single button he could think of and immediately shut his phone down, but when he turned it back on, the damage was done. There was the single text, in the blue of iMessage, from himself to Harry fucking Styles.

“What the fuck did I just do?” Louis whispered to himself in horror.

Favorite thing about the 2012 bois? You just had to put the most difficult one first, didn’t you? 🤣

I don’t have an absolutely-most-favorite-ever thing, buuuuut, if I had to choose one that stands out the most, it would be how realistic they feel. They act like normal teens, with obsessions and banter and constant bickering and crushes and little quirks and stims. I love how being ninjas are so natural to them (adore when they pull a ninja move and nobody blinks because, yep- that’s definitely things normal people do!) and how it’s portrayed as just another aspect of their lives. Raph loves comics and art, Leo loves Space Heroes and RP games, Donnie loves inventing and experimenting, and Mikey loves pretty much everything. They may be ninjas, but they also feel relatable!

How did I get into the series?

I’ve known TMNT existed for years, but I never actually watched it until the 2007 show appeared on Netflix. I watched the movie, and was enthralled. Then I watched it again. Then I watched it again. Then I recorded the fight scene between Leo and Raph so I could memorize it- I honestly couldn’t tell you why. I’m interesting 🤣

I WAS IN LOVE AND LEO WAS SO COOL AND PEOPLE I NEEDED MORE-

So I did what any sane person would do. I tore apart the internet trying to find out how to watch every ep of every single turtle-like series and every movie out there!

And then I found 2012 and my obsession with the leader in blue shrank because… ✨Donnie✨. Wholesome green bean. Misunderstood, often in the background, devoted older/little brother.

Least favorite version of a character?

Okay, okay, okay. I already got that covered.

PLEASE DON’T HATE ME IT’S JUST MY OPINION I’LL EXPLAIN I’M SORRY-

Now, don’t confuse my dislike of him as a hater. He has good qualities. I like the episodes where he’s being supportive of his brothers or relentlessly tracking them down because he thinks portal pirates have taken them. His dedication is kinda heartwarming and very Leo-esc.

Unfortunately, how he goes about… Everything. Grates on my nerves.

Series Leo is cocky, arrogant, egotistical, narcissistic, bratty, a liar, a manipulator, doesn’t seem to give two shells about other people’s feelings most of the time, will do anything to put himself in the spotlight at the expense of his brothers, often hurts his brothers in the process of getting what he wants, and can’t take responsibility for a single irresponsable action to save his life.

Movie Leo- now that’s a Leon I can get behind. We need more of him. I’d love more of him. I NEED MORE OF HIM- *cough*

Series Leo has his pros and cons, but when the cons outway the pros… Well, I’m obsessed with turtles, and he strains at my obsession with 2018. Which would make him my least favorite boy.

thomas <3 he blurts out the most beautiful and heartbreaking love confession you can dream of, voice quiet but firm, burning cheeks and trembling hands. alastair 100% cries like a baby (also tom says "i love you" in farsi because i say so).

i feel they both would have the other's picture as their phone background, but if i must choose...then i'd say alastair. he's gonna show off thomas's pictures to every single human being he encounters like "look at my thomas!! he's so cute!! so beautiful!! so perfect 😩" god he would be SO annoying

who leaves notes written in fog on the bathroom mirror

thomas!!!! i feel he would write the cheesiest things just to annoy alastair and because he can't help it (alastair secretly melts inside every time he finds one of those notes and then proceeds to curse himself for being the most foolish lovesick man to ever set foot on earth).

who buys the other cheesy gifts

both of them?? probably thomas is the one who starts it (buying cheesy gifts for alastair quickly becomes his new favourite activity) but imagine alastair witnessing thomas's reaction at one of those cheesy gifts for the first time. he gets him something very little and silly and is not even sure thomas could like it but the moment he gives it to him the other boy gets so flattered, like so flattered. his face immediately lits up, his cheeks colour a deep cheery red and he can't stop smiling, eventually blurting out a faint and soft 'thank you'. he's so fucking adorable. to the point that alastair becomes addicted to it and starts buying thomas little gifts at every possible opportunity, even if it means spending hours in a shop just to find the perfect gift.

who initiated the first kiss

uh, thomas of course, this is also pretty canon hehe

who kisses the other awake in the morning

oh boy, i have read too many godly fics to not say thomas (also because i feel he's an early riser?) the way he would whisper alastair's name in the morning, slowly kissing every inch of his face till the man doesn't wake up with the biggest smile on his face....y e s. but im pretty sure alastair won't hesitate to kiss thomas awake when he has the chance (also thomas's sleepy face is the most adorable thing in the world and alastair can't help but kiss every part of it with such adoration and devotion it makes thomas's heart melt a little every time).

who starts tickle fights

jwkdjsj this is the easiest one: 100% thomas. oh, the way alastair would swear his terrible revenge while thomas can't stop laughing because that man is absolutely ridiculous

who asks who if they can join the other in the shower

yep, that's alastair (and after weeks of internal debating whether asking or not thomas wouldn't even answer, he would just drag alastair inside).

who surprises the other in the middle of the day at work with lunch

my boy thomass of course. also im sorry but thomas can cook....c'mon, he has been coached by the queen sophie herself. he certainly knows how to cook, and he's quite keen on baking if you ask me <3

he bakes alastair the best scones following step by step his mother's recipe (and will take revenge at his father for regularly embarrassing him in front of his boyfriend by telling gideon how much alastair liked his scones and never hid any of them under their bed. sophie will just laugh while gideon will shoot thomas dirty looks all the way through).

who was nervous and shy on the first date

BOTH!! they were both so nervous and excited. tom was panicking like 'omg omg i'm having a date with my life-long crush, and he's so beautiful and perfect and omg i think he likes me too...?? what if i ruin it?? HELP" alastair instead tried to calm himself down multiple times like it's no big deal alastair. everything is gonna be fine, breathe alastair, breathe. but as much as he wanted to cool off, his heart wouldn't stop racing and deep down he was so afraid to say the wrong thing and ruin everything

but when they both noticed how much the other was nervous (because of course they did, they understand each other perfectly) they started feeling more and more relaxed. anyway, they ended up having the best date ever and didn't stop smiling for weeks (of course cordelia and eugenia noticed and teased them for it <3)

who kills/takes out the spiders

mmm. i feel none of them is particularly afraid of spiders and they would easily take them out if they need to. and you know what? i think alastair is the one who deals with the hard work. it's not that thomas is afraid, he just finds insects gross and doesn't like to get too close and risk touching them in the process. alastair doesn't notice at first, but at the latest broken promise to take out the spider on the kitchen shelf, he just gets it and handles it by himself (thomas will swear he would have done it eventually and alastair will kiss his cheek like 'sure tom, sure, next time i'll leave it to you').

who loudly proclaims their love when they’re drunk

it's tooom. alastair doesn't ever get drunk (for obvious reasons), thomas instead does, but very rarely because he hardly ever drink (for both alastair and matthew's sake and also because he's never been that keen on drinking). however, on those rare occasions he drinks he easily gets drunk (not *wasted* levels but more *im gonna say the cheesiest stuff and be so clingy* levels). thomas is a very reserved and quiet person who keeps his sweetest thoughts and deepest feelings for alastair and alastair only, so when he's drunk he just says things he would normally say to alastair... in front of an audience. he's just more uninhibited... probably a little too much.

he pulls the first person he finds aside and starts a five-hour monologue about how much he loves alastair carstairs and can't imagine a life without him. he hugs and kisses alastair all the time, no matter if he's busy chatting with someone or doing literally anything else. thomas doesn't even interrupt him, he just gets closer, as if he can't manage to stay away from the other boy more than two minutes straight. sometimes he runs a hand through alastair's hair and starts giggling for no apparent reason. alastair is a blushing mess and struggles to stay focus all the way through.

once he turns to matthew and goes "math, remember when you said alastair's eyebrows are nice? well, i think he has beautiful hair too, it's just so soft. and his eyes are so pretty, like sooo prettyyyy. and oh my god his lips-" and he caresses every inch of alastair's blushing face while talking.

matthew wants to puke the entire time while alastair is still stuck at matthew's opinion regarding his eyebrows.
