Hello!!! :D Hi, could you do Raiden and Kung Lao (MK1) or maybe Hanzo and Kuai Liang (MK11) agere headcannons? Pleeeeease? Also have a good day, and it's okie if you can't!! :3
hi! im not sure if you wanted them individually or as pairs so i gift you!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Regressor mk1 trio headcanons, featuring Liu Kang, Kung Lao and Raiden!
i know you didnt mention liu kang and as much as i love kung lao, i cant seperate these guys theyre best friends.
Tumblr media
raiden would absolutely be a cg for regressors liu kang and kung lao though he would be a bit of a strict and stern cg he would be very caring and keep them out of touble but when he says no, theres no changing his mind.
liu kang or kung lao could easily be a baby sitter for one another but with raiden as cg theyre best buds or even sibs on a playdate
this does include playfights
kitana is either a standin cg or babysitter at least for liu kang, maye not as much for kung lao but will look after them together if need be
raiden's the best at giving sublte and vague excuses for the three of them to leave when needed no one questions him but the other too often suck at it and stumble over or generally mess up the excuse
not very independant regressors, they normally wont even regress unless prompted somehow
raiden picks up on everything knows the moment they feel little and need something hes very attuned to them and can read them easily
angy liu kang has set things on fire didnt always mean to does apologize after time out
liu kang would be maybe 4-5 kung lao might be soemthere between 4-10 depending on the day
kung lao needs some sort of safety precaution on his hat he's allowed to have it, they tried telling him he cant and that was a mistake but when he's little they put something on the bladded rim and he'll sit and pout about it for a bit
Tumblr media Tumblr media
regressor Scorpion(Hanzo) and cg sub-zero(Kuai Liang)!
Tumblr media
this gif just defines their relationship for me "no, hanzo, this way, there." "oh i see" "good job"
hanzo regresses around age 6 he's a very curious kid but hes also very stubborn and grumpy
hanzo wont often ask for help kuai liang will notice when he needs help and will usually ask first but knows hanzo wont admit to it and will find ways to help him out without causing a fuss
gumpy kiddo will sit next to him and pout until the other takes the hint and gives him a hug doesnt really like cuddles but is okay with hugs or being held for a short time
"hanzo dont do it...noo..." something proceeds to light on fire and be put out with cold "thats it, time out, little one" "no!"
its a fight to get him to settle down he's easier to handle and tuck in for a nap or sleep after he's tired himself out kuai liang will find things to direct his energy towards to keep him busy until he tires or gets burnt out so he can cool down with a nap (pun intended)
its hard to find little gear he wont burn when he gets upset a make shift bottle or sippy cup is just a metal waterbottle. plastic will melt and wood will char, so metal things are about the only material that can withstand his outbursts.
after being grumpy and angry, hes really sweet and helpful at the end of the day hanzo wants to help kuai liang as a thank you for helpng him too he feels bad after he gets upset, so he wants to be helpful and do something nice and be a good kiddo to make up for it.
Tumblr media
i love mk so much i hope these were okay!

Queer Itch.io VN List
So IDK when I'll be able to post art again so here's another bit of content. Queer visual novels from itch.io. Not all of these are itch exclusive so you steam only? Feel free to check. Oh these will be 18+. Four things going in; 1.) Not all of these are finished. I'll be breaking it up between finished and unfinished.
2.) A lot of them are furry because the furry VN and queer VN venn diagram is a pair of nested circles.
3.) Spoilers, will be light but they will exists.
4.) Mostly MLM because that's the place I tend to live.
Coming Out On Top: 5/10
Starting with Coming Out on Top because it's the most average of the list and the quinessential baby gay VN. It's cute, fun, funny, sexy and has the depth of a brook at best. Light fun but has a couple of issues one with stereotypes, the other with power dynamics it adamantly doesn't want to think about because sexy.
Nekojishi: 6/10
Nekojishi is a bit more interesting than Coming Out on Top. Has more depth by and large but is also more fun than deep. Cute characters and while I cannot speak to cultural fidelity the husbandos are all in front of an interesting situational backdrop.
Full Service: 5/10
Similar to COoT, hot guys, sexy CGs, fun and silly moments with big personalities for the husbandos. But doesn't really explore the conflict beyond having something to spice up the romance, tempted to dock points for an infuriating mascot character.
Human Cargo: 6/10
Has a bit more going on between the ears than the baseline but the plot is still more a vehicle for the husbandos. Hot CGs, very cute, a good bit of soft moments and the romance feels at least a bit like an earned climax to the relationship.
In Case of Emergency: 8/10
So this is where we've broken the 'plot as car for husbandos' glass cieling. This is one that definitely has something more going on than date hotties. I dock a little bit of points for it being a bit hard to parse towards the end as to how interactions gets a good ending. BUT gets points for it being the start of the relationship. It feels like the MC matters to the route but not like he 'fixes' their problems. They're all on the road to a better place. Be warned a bittersweet game.
Adastra: 9/10
So I did play Echo first which makes me a bit of an oddity apparently. I think that was a part of the reason the emotions of Adastra didn't hit me quite as hard. Like I was expecting the other shoe to drop. Also since I was waiting for that I also spent much of the early game frustrated by 'Marco's' choices. That said Amicus is everything the Echo fandom wishes Leo was.
Arches: 8/10
Arches is going here before Echo for a reason despite being a nominal sequel, but also... I have so many mixed feelings here. It's an objectively good story, it makes me feel things. It's also REALLY depressing and I feel genuinely conflicted about if it's a very good or very bad representation of schizophrenia.
Echo: 10/10
Yeah I know it's the bloody posterchild for the subversive dating sim, it's also why the spoiler tag exists. Because Echo sets up as a dating sim meant to evoke nostalgia and then devolves into a psychological horror on the level of one of the classic Silent Hill games. Also Leo is the Ur-Furry Thirst Trap and the fandom shows just how terrifyingly effective he is at it. Horror and tragedy in equal measure. And at the end so I can start the unfinished list with it's prequel...
UNFINISHED: There are enough here that are so solid despite still being updated that I needed to keep the list separate. They would get points docked for not being one but I didn't want that to reflect on how evocative they are.
The Smoke Room: 10/10
The prequel and chronologically first game in the Echo Trilogy. Set one hundred years before Echo shortly before the 1915 hysteria and following Sam, a sex worker at the local Saloon. It's charming, unnerving, tragic (especially given Echo ESPECIALLY WILLIAM'S route if you know you know.) All the husbandos and side characters are delightful and charming in their own ways.
Errant Kingdom: 6/10
I would award it a higher score but between being bought, unfinished, and having been slow to update I'm worried it's a dying project. I am more sympathetic to the slow updates because every chapter is functionally three chapters as each origin point is a genuinely different story even when they are at a converging point such as the speech, or merchant's party. The art is beautiful and the characters are fun and interesting. I truly hope it's still in development.
Andromeda Six: 7/10
Also in development hell but getting slightly more updates and has a valentines day side story that is complete. Sci-fi story about an amnesiac with a crew of mercs on the wrong side of a successful coup. There's twists and turns some obvious some much less so that make it engaging. Fun romance options for straight mlm and wlw.
Repeat: 9/10
Repeat OOZES charm, it's fun, has a shockingly fun core of mystery hilarious and engaging characters. Fun and sexy CGs. And a lot of heart that makes the tragic lows hit just that much harder.
Santa Lucia: 8/10
Fun with an Echo-esque mystery and horror subplot. Engaging and been following it for a while. That said I do dock a little points for the routes not intersecting with the main plot as well as Echo which inextricably links the two. Still overall a very good time.
Socially Awkward: 9/10
Hilarious and also incredibly charming, bonus points for all the characters being incredibly similar to actual people I know. It makes the whole friend group cast likeable and realistic. Even the trash goblins like John.
Soulcreek: 9/10
Interesting, intense, one of my favorite genres, good art, but has some frustrating moments early game similarly to Adastra. Ultimately not enough to really drag it and the mystery and setting is MORE than enough to keep you clicking.
Dawn Chorus: 10/10
Okay so this one's a bit of a cheat for me. It's only a 10/10 because it's my comfort VN. Dawn Chorus is like a warm bowl of soup or cup of tea on a cold rainy day. It's cute, sweet, and character driven with an undercurrent of tragedy for many of the characters that makes you hope for the best.
Shelter: 10/10
Remember how I said Soulcreek's my facorite genre? Well so is Shelter. Fantasy that's secretly a Post Apocalyptic sci-fi. It's got mystery, uses the Visual Novel format in unique and amazing ways. Also puns, SO FUCKING MANY PUNS. The world building Raus does here drove me to dip my toes into the setting with a fic it was that inspiring.

What to expect from Cgetbrmj
(besides posting at random times)
Not that I think anyone will really read this or care but I need a lil place to store the scheduled fic ideas and separate them from the scrapped fic ideas
Get ready for a lot of writing that nobody will probably read lol!
THERE'S A LOT OF TALKING IN HERE
the Evolution series - tlou
fic #9 is only just under 1000 words right now and very much still in the planning stage, and every fic AFTER that is currently still sitting in the 13k word doc of planning
There are around 30ish chapters that I had planned out a while ago, give or take, so if any of you like that series, I wouldn't stress about it being ditched lol
Also in tlou were two separate one shots that I had written at the start of the year, when the show's first episode came out and I liked both of them but I feel like they're both too ooc to post so I never bothered editing them but 🤷
I'd also planned another mini series for tlou that had four chapters, all sort of centered around silver lake/aftermath/healing but with a littles are known/classification au to it - which I do still like and plan on fixing up at some stage
The Walking Dead
firstly, covering the fics in the Daryl's acting weird series
Always A Losing Game has 2 chapters left - both with a loose plan but not a lot of actual writing finished for them
There was a one shot that was in the works for a bit - something short and sweet from Michonne's perspective during the night that This takes place that I never finished
After the events of Always A Losing Game I don't have any full fics written for the beginning of the Alexandria era (aka season 5b and season 6) just snippets and ideas and concepts that I'd written down that I need to go and sort through and somehow make sense of
after that weird brief section where I have nothing written for some reason lol, there's 8 fics that are all planned/at least partially written in a coherent fic form and ready to be edited all set between the latter half of season 6-season 9
There's also a bunch of ideas and concepts for fics Post Rick set in this series that I need to also sort through
The Dandelions series... If there is literally anyone out there who liked it, I'm so sorry for posting two fics and then never talking about it again. Still love the concept here!! Even if I hate the writing in the fics!! Trying to get the motivation to actually edit the other fics in the series. There's another 5 fics in the series yet to be posted, all kind of written but not edited. One of those fics includes the fix it version of my OWN FIC lol, with a good ending where Alden lives at the end of it, if anyone's interested. I love Alden so much and I think that that love should override how much I hate my own writing here and convince me to finish what I started lmao
The Stubbornness Series, my beloved. My true underdog I feel. I love this series very passionately for someone that typically doesn't like their own writing after like a month of having it posted.
There's another 4 one shots that need to be edited and a fic that needs to be split into 3 parts, I'm still unsure if they'll be chapters or all standalone - tell me what you like reading more lol
The first 4 are
Daryl staying up late to wait for Rick to come back from watch
season 11 finale/rosita's death
rough/restless night with lots of comfort and cg!Rick and Michonne
Michonne finding Daryl directly after the bridge in season 9
The other is about Daryl finally returning to Alexandria in season 9, with Lydia, Henry, and Connie - where him and Michonne have lots of angst and trauma talk- try and fix their problems and help each other/try and get Daryl to go into headspace-go to the kingdom-heads on pikes- getting back to Alexandria- snowball fight
It has around 6000 words right now, and I'll be honest I was so close to dropping it and trying to rewrite it (it being the first part of the three) It came out SUPER angsty, even for me, and I felt like I couldn't make any of it work, hence why it didn't get posted on my bday, but maybe I was stressed because I was so busy at the time idk. I need to reread it and see what I can do
James Bond
the further down the rabbit hole, the nicher it gets lol
There's around 12 fics I have written that need to be edited before they're posted here, most of them were made last year and are just snippets, but I still like the concepts and want to finish them at some point
Too many concepts to do dot points for plots here, so if anyone really wants more info, which I kinda doubt lol, feel free to ask for more <3
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier
WOah, that one came out of nowhere, right? Well what if I told you that I binge watched the 3 captain america movies and this show purely to take notes, and my GOD did I do some serious note taking, last year? The year before, I think? Definitely the year before. So that I could create this story about previous cg!steve L!bucky that was angsty and fun and then turn it gradually into cg!sam?? Would you believe me? Because I honestly don't think I've ever brought it up before lol. Anyway that was something that I did do. And wrote for. And now I have a planned storyline and snippets of writing and absolutely no idea whether or not I should do anything with it
Now the fun miscellaneous fics
There's one rpf (real person fic) that I wrote purely for my own enjoyment and comfort and author projecting needs - written for a show that I can't believe I would ever write agere for but anyway. I loved it, will probably never post it?
There's a couple other misc fics that I'm always on the fence about posting or not so
one of them is also an agere littles are known/classification au of Mission Impossible of all things, since I rewatched the new movie so much and brought back the hyperfixation once again.
There's also another MI fic I wrote that I genuinely really loved and want to post that ISN'T agere??????? What?? From me??
So that's that. Those are the main fics waiting to be edited and fixed up and posted as of right now. These are the ones I plan on not giving up on. If anyone is interested in any of them and want to talk about any of them, I'm always excited to talk about my fics! And always excited to hear if someone likes my fics! Don't be shy!
I know no one will probably read this but this will probably be good for my brain to sort out my shit with these fics and stop confusing myself with the fics that I'm scrapping lol

I fell down a hole playing Pathfinder's wrath of the righteous and I'm also reading spoilers and trying to make sure I get as close to a good ending as I want. But man I have a few gripes:
1. Daeran Arendae is not pale white and I don't know how or why people keep coloring him that way
Look at him:
Tumblr media
He's literally golden and an aasimar. He's not pale white. Someone has a mod of him having super Nordic features and it's.....horrifying lmfao.
2. I would like to argue the alignments of the companions should be more changeable than they are (except for you-know-who, they're never going to change)
3. Daeran should at *least* become chaotic neutral over time. He does have a moral compass and he DOES choose to do good things. Also because of the The Other resolution.
4. I looked up his happy endings and I'm...going to riot. All three of them make me want to yell.
[spoilers spoilers] I'm sorry he becomes slightly cold and evil-er if I kill the inquisitor??? I kill the guy who sees me basically exorcise Dae because THE INQUISITION IS FUCKED AND EVERYONE KNOWS?? And that's supposed to be a Bad Choice?? Compared to a lifetime of surveillance?? I don't want to hand him over to the mental health cops what the fuck!! Those guys BURNED EMBER'S DAD AT THE STAKE and tried to KILL HER TOO! They are a literal inquisition!! it feels like they're trying to say "absolute power corrupts absolutely, a Good commander should sometimes bend to the Law," but also fuck that, my dude! Just because ONE of you isn't an unhinged lunatic doesn't mean I trust any of that institution. I demand end screen rewrites because what the fuck lol. There should be a better resolution besides being watched by Big Brother Inquisition for the rest of his life or going cold due to the inquisitor dying. Make it make sense!! The inquisition is clearly full of total idiots. Why does this inquisitor dying make Daeran more cold? He was protected!
5. I'm concerned about the Azata path option to close the worldwound 🤔 idk if I'll switch paths.
6. Enhanced edition wants:
fix it so if I'm worried about Sosiel as a FC he doesn't immediately go "sorry I'm gay." Like okay sir I was just concerned you'd been nearly mauled as your *friend*
woljif romance when
fix daeran's endings and allow his alignment to develop!!!!
more opportunities to build daeran's secret trust meter because I am panicking since he gave me the wands and not the ring in the donation to the crusades. I thought that party was done perfectly so I'm really wracking my brain here.
More Azata path content besides just aivu.
this is too big of an ask but another companion entirely. For a few reasons.
1) I feel like there's a huge lack of good aligned companions. It's literally just Seelah (LG), Ember (NG), and Sosiel (NG).
Neutral is Arue (CN) , Greybor (N), Woljif (CN), Nenio (N), Lann (LN).
Evil is Regil (LE), Daeran (NE), Wenduag (NE)
Camellia is [Undetected] (lol but we all know)
Where is my CG companion?? It just feels so weird so much of this campaign is evil npc heavy because like there's technically MORE evil companions if you go lich path and take on undead companions. I think there's maybe 9 total?? And you're supposedly out here ready to FIGHT HELL.
2) I feel like there's a lot of classes we lack in the options given. It would be nice to have a companion who covers something a little different: Alchemist, Arcanist, druid, Kineticist, skald/bard, magus, sorcerer.
I honestly regret not immediately respec'ing some of the companions. Like Lann should've moved out of monk more quickly. I love Seelah but the Paladin class is boring and she needs more verve. Sosiel I should've immediately pivoted into summoning more because he can't hold a candle to daeran as a cleric.

More from the ABDL Archive
Good afternoon and thank you for coming. I know this whole unpleasant mess isn’t exactly good for your health, but we need to sort this out sooner rather than later. As you know, I have come into possession of a book of yours. This book doesn’t seem to be a journal, but has plenty of personal information you’d rather not have out there in the ether. So, what I propose is that we work out an agreement where you can get your book and I can get something of equal relative value. Basically, I want you to work for me and after a time we sever ties and you get your book back. Sound good? Where? Well, I guess I can tell you that. You’re familiar with Ms. Evergreen? Well, she’s a lovely young lady, but she has her weaknesses. In exchange for the book and a few other items of leverage for other people, along with a two year contract, we dissolved her debt. No. There are no photos of you. She’s a woman of her word after all.
1. You will not speak like a big boy or girl 2. No bad words 3. Never touch your diaper 4. If you need a diaper change you must find an appropriate way to tell an adult using baby talk 5. Never remove your clothes 6. Never fuss or talk back to grown ups 7. You will wear whatever you are put in without complaining about it 8. Never attempt to hide anything a grown up gives you in public 9. You will use only your diapers to relieve yourself, even while in public 10. Never feed yourself unless told to 11. If an adult puts in your paci you will not remove it 12. You will only play with baby toys 13. You must obey all grown ups (anyone over 5 years old is a grown up to you) 14. Never resist a diaper change, even in public 15. Never resist nap time 16. Never speak out of turn 17. Bedtime is at 8:00 PM every night 18. You must hold an adults hand when crossing the street 19. If left alone, you must be in a crib, a highchair, a playpen or secured in some way 20. If someone asks, you must admit you are wearing a diaper, no matter how many people are around
Tips for a new CG
disclaimer: this may not apply to every little. everyone is unique and different - these are only tips ive thought of from my personal experience or from talking with other littles.
treat your little like a learning baby! littles love to feel, well, little! ask them things like, “what shape/colour is this?” while pointing to various objects. ask them to count things for you or ask them if they know what an object is. when you see animals, you could ask things like, “what sound does that animal make? do you know the name of that animal?”
call your little sweet pet names! this is very unique to each little, so dont be afraid to ask them what their favourite pet names are. some good ones are: prince/princet/princess, baby/baby girl/babg boy, little one/little boy/little girl, cutie, sweetie, sweet pea, and more!
praise them! if your little does something like clean their room/wash up/clean the dishes etc., praise them (and don’t just say “good”, we love it when you go overboard! shower your little in te most praise you can produce!) bonus points if they do these things without asking!
rules! this is one that is definitely specific to each little - some want rules and some do not. you will have to ask your little if this is something they want before making rules! that being said, having rules provides structure and makes some littles feel very loved. some rules i like are: eat at least 2 meals a day, clean up after myself (clothes, toys etc), always talk to daddy when im sad (or he cant help me!), no sugar after 10pm, drink at least 1 glass of water a day.
help your little get dressed! it makes them feel small and dependent on you! this is something that not all littles will be comfortable with, so be sure to ask first and talk about it with your little.
have your little hold your hand when crossing the streets! its another thing that will make your little feel safe and small.
cook for your baby, or help them cut up their food! for me personally, i always have my daddy cut my food up, but thats also because i suck at it!! it always makes me feel very small and babyish
talk to them like theyre a baby! this is not something all littles enjoy, but personally i enjoy a lot and helps me regress easily.
cradle them! when im sad or sleepy, sometimes my daddy will cradle me in his arms and rock me. its very comforting and loving!!
sing to them! its okay if you think you have a bad singing voice - your little wont care, and will probably think its great! the important part is that its you singing to them, and its very comforting!
read them bedtime stories! this is another very comforting thing for most littles, and i even enjoy it when im big :)
when they’re sad or anxious, have them listen to your heartbeat. this is probably the most calming thing for me when i’m upset, and it makes me feel very connected to my daddy

🌱 Tips for New Cg’s!! 🌱
☀️🐸☀️🐸☀️🐸☀️🐸☀️🐸☀️🐸☀️🐸☀️🐸☀️🐸
first, let’s start off with what a caregiver is! a caregiver is someone who cares for an age regressor/dreamer! they may sometimes set little rules or goals for them as well! they make sure the regressor is taking care of themselves (like drinking water, or doing school work when they should!) or reassuring and comforting them when they’re not feeling too great! caregivers can also have rewards or punishments. a caregiver can be a friend, a partner, or even a trusted family member! sometimes, regressors use certain nicknames to address their cg, such as: “mommy/daddy, papa, mama, bubby, big bear,” etc! (here’s a list of cg nicknames i made!)
becoming someone’s caregiver requires lots of communication!! every regressor is different, and they all have different needs! be sure to discuss what your regressor needs from you! maybe they just want some reassurance every now and then! or help with regressing and staying small! or to be praised for doing things like homework so they can feel motivated to do it the next time as well!
rules: rules can be very helpful when taking care of a regressor! however, some regressors might not want rules! be sure to discuss this with them first! again, every regressor has different needs to meet! like how you might not want to punish a regressor for not going to bed on time when they have insomnia! this is why it’s very important to discuss it with them beforehand!! with that out of the way, here are some rule ideas!
1. brush your teeth at least twice a day!
2. no sweets before bedtime!
3. try to drink enough water everyday!
4. always hold my hand when crossing the street!
5. ask before eating sweets!
6. bedtime at 10:00pm!
7. no saying bad words!
8. always be honest!
9. eat at least 2 meals a day!
10. make your bed every morning!
punishments: now, what do you do if your regressor isn’t following any of your rules? some caregivers use punishments! (and i cannot stress enough how important it is to talk to your regressor about them BEFORE you give them any punishments!!) again, punishments should never be physical!! and you should never take away a comfort item as punishment! another important thing to note is that you should never punish them for something they can’t control! always talk to them about it! communication is very important! with that being said, here are some punishment ideas:
1. early bedtime
2. time out
3. limited screen time for tv or other electronics
4. no sweets
5. taking away or lengthening the time it takes to revive a reward. (which i will get into right now!)
rewards: for regressors who follow the rules, or reach certain goals, you may want to give them a reward! rewards are great! they may motivate your regressor to do things they need to do like chores or homework! and they’ll encourage them to follow the rules you have set for them as well! examples of how a reward may work is “if you drink enough water for 3 days, i’ll buy you a new toy!” or “if you finish all your homework tonight, then tomorrow, we’ll take a trip to the library!” something i see often, but isn’t usually brought up is when your regressor is truly trying their hardest!! they may be working on as much homework as they can but still unable to finish it. please be sure to recognize their effort!! tell them they still did an amazing job for doing their best! in cases like this, i believe they still deserve a rewards! here are some reward ideas! :
1. a new toy/game!
2. a sticker!
3. extra time before bedtime!
4. something yummy!
5. a trip to the park!
activities: here are some fun things you can do with them! remeber that everyone has different interests and find joy and entertainment in different things!!
1. have a tea party/ picnic!
2. help them make a cool fort!
3. have a disney movie marathon!
4. take them to the park or a zoo!
5. color pictures for each other!
6. play some video games with them!
7. do some cooking or baking together!
8. having fun with bubbles!
9. go out for a walk! make a list of things for your regressor to find on the way!
10. play games like hide and seek!
if you didn’t know, regressors can regress to different ages! punishments, rules and rewards should reflect that! for example, you can’t punish a two year old for not making their bed! they may not know how! and you can’t give a two year old a new game that’s rated 17+ as a reward! so be sure to discuss age and what rules, punishments, and rewards work best for your regressor!
important things to take note of:
• learn your regressor’s triggers if they have any. this is very important!!
• treat them like you would a little kid! they are not acting little. they are literally and truly in the mindset of a little kid!! for instance, be impressed if they show you a drawing they made!
• do not ignore your regressor’s emotions. if they cry over something that seems silly, they are still sad. no matter how “small” the issue is. give them proper care and comfort.
• be patient!! some regressors can’t verbally communicate when regressed to a certain age! and that may also be the case if they are neurodivergent! be sure to talk to them about this! maybe learn simple sign language! <3
• do not neglect your regressor. not even as a punishment. while you do not have to be in contact with them 24/7, it’s nice to have a small heads up if you can!
• learn their stuffie’s names! this goes such a long way!! stuffies are super important to some of us!! and learning their names tells us you’ve been paying attention!
i hope this guide helps any new caregivers!! if you have any questions, i’d be happy to answer as best as i can!! and remeber, COMMUNICATION IS IMPORTANT!! <33

Agatha 10/29/21 Quarantine Ended Pakistani Highflier Grizzle Recessive Red  Escaped with an ash red Mindian Fantail Raptor Struck Scalped Tendon above right ankle severed Special Needs Rescue $20
Agatha is a shy, flighty bird of uncertain sex. Understandable, given that they only have the use of one leg and their wings.
Thought to be a hen on arrival, they have recently begun expressing more cockish behaviors.
They can get along ok with other birds, given enough space to get out of the way if hazed.
They are not comfortable with people yet, but I think they could adapt to being an indoor bird.
Adoption fee waived for an approved foster home.

Pants 9/1/21 Quarantine Ended NPA 19 8 BS 1865 Tippler Pied grizzle Ash Red cock Arrived 8/4/21 PMV and Paratyphoid boosters administered 8/25/21 Loft Bird $30 Pending the weaning of his nestling
Pants is an energetic man whose flamboyant displays of the Angel Wing Strut are an absolute delight to watch.
He’s been an excellent father so far, and we are glad to have Panties out of him.
But of our current breeding cocks, he is the least human friendly, so he has become available to make room for John to join the Stud roster.
Tumblr media
Cherub 7/13/21 July Update Seraphim x COF NPA 20 9 CG 157 Tail Mark Ash Red Sired by Dillion out of Diva 3/5/20 Bred by Laura Fratoni Arrived by mail 5/29/20 Paratyphoid booster administered 1/19/21 PMV booster administered 6/19/20 Curious $40 Pending the hatching and weaning of his nestling
Cherub is a lovely boy who may be bold enough to get up on your knee if the hen he wants is there, but much prefers to stand on your head to ride around up high.
He is an excellent father who has sired, raised, and fostered many clutches.
Tumblr media
Suki 7/23/21 July update COF-RH x FB-GH Pied Brown Check het Toy Stencil Hen Sired by Betty out of Hagrid 7/6/20 Bred by The Ramsey Loft PMV boosters administered 9/7/20 Paratyphoid Booster administered 8/9/21 Curious $40
Suki is an excellent mother who lays like a machine and throws generally big, sturdy babies, most of whom are in the Comfortable range. (Wess being a notable exception)
She has also fostered a few clutches admirably.
She is interested enough in me to get up on my knee on occasion, though that seems to be more to prove to the younger birds that she isn’t too afraid to follow them up there than an actual interest in my companionship.
Tumblr media
Todoroki 9/23/21 Quarantine ends NPA 20 8 BM 2859 Tippler Sooty Ash Red Bar cock Arrived 8/4/21 Initial PMV and Paratyphoid vaccines administered 8/4/21 Rescue $20
Foster whose owner could no longer keep him
He’d make an excellent breeding cock for a tippler project, but he’s too flighty and fractious to be happy as a single pet.
He doesn’t like people, bur he’s very sweet to his lady and would also be a good partner for another rescue or a lovely addition to a decorative loft.
Adoption fee waived for an approved foster home.
Tumblr media
Wess 10/8/21 6 Months Old Chinese Owl x COF-RH-FB-GH Blue tailmark cock Sired by Wukong out of Suki 4/8/21 Bred by The Ramsey Loft Paramyxovirus and Paratyphoid boosters administered 6/10/21 Retired $20
Wess is a TERRIBLE dad!
It took him two weeks to start helping Dolly feed their nestlings and never sat on them when they were little enough to need it.
He also had to come in for attacking Brightheart on her nest.
I do not know if he’s just like this with Brightheart or small hens in general.
He is a perfect gentleman with hens closer to his size and would make a good partner for a rescue or pet hen.
He had just gotten to where he would preen me when I had to take him in for his bastard crimes...
He isn’t likely to be especially human-friendly.
Tumblr media
Velour 11/14/21 6 Months Old Danzig/RH x Figurita/Lucerne/Danzig Blue bar hen Sired by Satin out of Chiffon 5/14/21 Bred by The Ramsey Loft PMV and Paratyphoid boosters administered 7/16/21 Curious $40 Pending the hatching and weaning of her nestlings
Once Bridget went in, Velour blossomed into a much more openly friendly bird, so there is a decent likelihood of her bonding more happily to a human care taker than I had previously thought.
Tumblr media
Checkers 11/18/21 6 Months Old Birmingham Roller x Komorner Tumbler Pied Blue Check cock Sired by Ginger out of Danica 5/18/21 Bred by The Ramsey Loft PMV and Paratyphoid boosters administered 7/20/21 Loft Bird $30
Checkers is the least problematic, goodest boy that isn’t on the breeding roster.
He’s been sweetly devoted to both of his wives and their feggs, and doesn't go out of his way to start shit with any one else.
He’d be happiest with at least a wife.
Berry is reserved to hopefully go home in July.
Tumblr media
Shinobi 12/4/21 5 Months Old Birmingham Roller x PT-RH-ODC-STRH Black Pied hen Sired by Leonard out of Elliot 7/4/21 Bred by The Ramsey Loft Initial PMV and Paratyphoid vaccines administered 8/15/21 Curious $40
Shinobi still likes to get into my lap or  sit on my shoulder or head when she isn’t sitting her fakes.
She’s a blend of very energetic breeds and doesn’t really like to be still for long, but she’s a show off in the air which makes her delightfully fun to watch.
Tumblr media
Mote 12/4/21 5 Months Old Chinese Owl x COF-RH-FB-GH Dirty Blue check hen Sired by Wukong out of Suki 7/4/21 Bred by The Ramsey Loft PMV and Paratyphoid Boosters administered 9/5/21 Curious $40
Since Wukong has gone home, Mote has been taking on more of the exceptionally outgoing personality of her big brother, my beloved Nobu.
I do not know yet if this is a bid to impress him, which is why her temperament is evaluated at Curious.
Tumblr media
Cinnamon 12/17/21 5 Months Old COF/RH/FB/GH x Racing Homer Pied, Almond Recessive Red cock Sired by Farthing out of Luxotica 7/17/21 Bred by The Ramsey Loft PMV and Paratyphoid boosters administered 9/18/21 Curious $40
Yet another bird that just will not give Brightheart a break.
He tried to tread her on her new clutch so vigorously he actually broke one of her eggs before Imp could chase him out.
This is another case of a teenage boy being stupidly horny rather than overtly or intentionally aggressive.
All the same, he should not be allowed near fledgelings, nestlings, or small breed hens.
This is a Lucy brother, so chances of bonding with a care taker are very good, but I can’t sat how mellow he’ll stay as puberty finishes its course.
Tumblr media
Moth 12/9/21 4 Months Old Seraph-COF x RH-ODC-STRH Pied Sooty Blue cock Sired by Cherub out of Tandy 8/9/21 Bred by The Ramsey Loft PMV and Paratyphoid Boosters administered 10/11/21 Curious $40
Moth is a lot more brave than his sister, Berry.
Recently, he’s taken to getting up on my knee to use it as a dance platform. ^v^
I’m not sure what kind of a house pet he’ll make, but he defiitely integrates well with the loft and is very sweet to the hens.
Tumblr media
Pidove 12/14/21 4 Months Old RH/PT/ODC/STRH x KT/CO Dirty Blue Bar cock Sired by Nettle out of Hoss 8/14/21 Bred by The Ramsey Loft PMV and Paratyphoid boosters administered 10/16/21 Curious $40
As you can see from the photo, Pidove now gets on my knee long enough to pose and preen!
He’s a flighty boy who will need a LOT of out time for exercise and isn’t likely to ever sit still long, so he’d do best either in a loft, or in a room with at least a wife.
Abys is going home in January
Tumblr media
Styx 12/16/21 4 Months Old Danzig/RH x Figurita/Lucerne/Danzig Black undergrizzle Sired by Satin out of Chiffon 8/16/21 Bred by The Ramsey Loft PMV and Paratyphoid boosters administered 10/18/21 Comfortable $50
Styx has developed a personality very similar to Slate, Cotta, and Abys; Extremely out going! One of the first birds to want a spot in my lap when I sit down.
She also lands on my shoulders and preens my hair.
Tumblr media
Pete 12/12/21 14 Weeks Old Feral Dirty Blue Bar cock Approximate DOB 9/5/21 Cat attack survivor. Arrived 10/10/21 PMV and Paratyphoid boosters administered 11/14/21 Rescue $20
EXTREMELY skittish due to minor neurological problems from the infection and subsequent starvation he suffered.
Pete has developed the typical bold, aggressive behavior typical of young cocks trying to figure out where they fit into the adult hierarchy.
He charges, boxes, and bites, but only at rivals. Not at hens or peeps.
He’s integrated well into the Ramsey flock and should be happy in any non-breeding, low contact flock.
Adoption fee will be waived for approved foster home.
Nightshade is reserved; going home Jan 3
The new year is only two weeks away!
Shipping resumes on January 3, and we are within my comfortable hold limit. ^v^
We will remain open for local pick up in the meantime, and I can arrange to meet clients up to four hours from the loft for the cost of fuel both ways.
Please email [email protected] if interested in any of the birds available.
This post is going to be used as a sales list template; being edited as birds become available, reach age milestones, improve their temperaments, and go home.

Yui Komori Outfit Ranking
Hello again. It’s Luminosity or Lumin for short. I am going to do a ranking again, but this time it is on outfits. The outfit I’m reviewing is Yui from Diabolik Lovers. In each of the game, she wears a different outfit each time. I think she’s lucky that she’s able to change her outfit in each game. Most otome game heroines I know usually have at least one outfit. I’m glad Yui has a wardrobe of it. Yui’s Outfits aren’t going to be like other otome game heroines. It’s average, and it’s doesn’t stand out. It really is simple and cute at the same time. While ranking it, I am gonna show the examples from @stargazerlover. That is actually me who drew them, because I like too. I am not gonna include any extra outfits from the cgs. It is mostly the outfits she wears mostly in that particular game. I am just stating my opinion on how I feel about them. Okay, let’s see what we have!!
6. Lunatic Parade
https://stargazerlover.tumblr.com/post/673577561336446976/yui-komori-outfit-lunatic-parade-version
The reason I had to ranked this on the bottom of the list was mostly, because of the color. It do like the design of the outfit though. Using yellow and green seemed a bit off to me. The background of the game is mostly in dark or in a cool color. Having a bright color like yellow would make her out of place. I didn’t like black socks with the yellow dress. I preferred if the socks were white to match the brightness. A positive thing about the outfit is that it is different from the outfits she usually wears. It is a dress with a gym jacket instead of a shirt with pants or skirt.
5. Chaos Lineage
https://stargazerlover.tumblr.com/post/674121094707412992/yui-komori-casual-outfit
I was expecting more in Chaos Lineage. All the boys had these cool and well designed outfits, while Yui just had a blouse and a Skirt. My favorite part of the outfit is mostly the bottom part. The skirt is up to the knees which it kind of rare and the socks had cute bows on them. I just feel like it’s missing something. The color palette of this outfit is not one of my favorites. The color seemed to be associated with the scarlet family. I would preferred if it was blue instead, because she doesn’t associate with any of the other families and it blends well with them at the same time.
4. Vandead Carnival
https://stargazerlover.tumblr.com/post/676378016001277952/yui-komori-outfit
I am glad they putted more layers on this outfit. This outfit is one of the outfits I would want to wear. I can’t help, but to notice that the color palette is similar to Shu’s current outfit. I think these two would make great couple just by being next each other aesthetically. But you need a contrast when being paired up with the boys in terms of fashion. The outfit can get boring if you take out the blue cardigan. Thank goodness they added a color.
3. HDB or More Blood
https://stargazerlover.tumblr.com/post/672577332791394304/yui-komori-casual-outfit
I tend to like her main outfits that has canon focused plots instead of light hearted plots like vandead carnival. Another thing is that her main outfits matches with her flower hair clip. I can consider that this outfit is something a teenager would definitely wear. I do like it’s different from other average otome game heroines. Yui doesn’t have to wear a skirt just to be feminine. I am glad that it’s pink. My only issue is the brown shorts with the pink sweater with black bows. It doesn’t bother me that much, but still.
2. Dark Fate
https://stargazerlover.tumblr.com/post/673462915619291136/yui-komori-casual-outfit
This is one of the outfits that everyone seems to like. It seems different from what Yui normally wears. It is not as comfy and laidback as her sweaters. I like how it’s all white and it has a good contrast on the dark colors. White reminds me of Yui’s purness through out the dark themes of Diabolik lovers.
1. Lost Eden
https://stargazerlover.tumblr.com/post/676095701334261760/yui-komori-casual-outfit
This is my favorite outfit that matches Yui’s aesthetics. Yui seems like the person who likes to wear anything comfy. The pink sweaters are my favorite when it comes to her. The whole thing looks eye catching to me. Her apple necklace plays as some sort of symbolism. She’s Eve which she has to chose her Adam to recreate the world or something. Literally the whole thing in Lost Eden is related to the Adam and Eve Project. The game wouldn’t be called Lost Eden if there was no mention in Adam and Eve.
Which one is your favorite? Write in the Comments below.

Is Spinel 4 Dimensional?
Tumblr media
https://my-little-universe.fandom.com/wiki/Spinel
Finally, after hours of research, analysis, and a ridiculous amount of editing all with only 5 hours of sleep I have completed my masterpiece! The idea I found in the two previous posts was interesting, to say the least. So, I just had to run this idea into the ground with the power of the Internet!
WARNING: EXTREMELY NERDY CONTENT BELOW
Side effects of content consumption may include second-hand knowledge on physics and geometry, rant-induced headaches, accidental consumption of glorified nerd spaghetti, and unintentional theory crafting.
READER’S DISCRETION IS ADVISED.
Definition of 4th Dimension:
Before determining if Spinel is 4 dimensional, we need to define the 4th dimension. From a math perspective, it’s just another coordinate. Just like the x-, y-, and z-coordinates or length, height, and width on a 3-dimensional coordinate plane, adding a fourth coordinate gives you a fourth dimension to move along.
Of course, that doesn’t exactly explain what the 4th-dimension IS. In simplest terms, a 4D shape is just a bunch of 3D shapes fused together (which is very fitting for Steven Universe). Take a cube for example.
Tumblr media
https://www.transparentpng.com/cats/lines-1247.html (edited)
A 1-dimensional cube is just a line.
Tumblr media
https://www.vexels.com/png-svg/preview/139342/basic-square-outline (edited)
Fuse 4 lines and you make a 2D cube or a square.
Tumblr media
https://www.vexels.com/png-svg/preview/155839/stroke-cube-icon (edited)
Fuse 6 squares and you make a 3D cube which is obviously just a cube.
Tumblr media
http://centerofmathematics.blogspot.com/2015/03/throwback-fact-magic-squares.html (edited)
By this logic, a 4D cube, known a tesseract, is a fusion of 8 cubes. These are many ways to draw a tesseract including a view from one of its axes like seen above.
A full view of a tesseract can be very hard to see in a diagram. A fusion of 8 cubes means there are...a square has 4 lines...multiply by 6 squares per cube...times 8 cubes per tesseract… THAT’S LIKE ALMOST 200 LINES (192 to be exact). Luckily there’s a way to kind of see what a 4D cube would look like.
Tumblr media
https://www.pitt.edu/~jdnorton/teaching/HPS_0410/chapters/four_dimensions/index.html (edited)
You essentially just have to cross your eyes to “fuse” these figures together. If you have trouble, just try to look slightly over it.
Another way to interpret the tesseract is with a “beach ball” cube.
Tumblr media
https://researchblog.duke.edu/2017/04/26/visualizing-the-fourth-dimension/
This is just a cube that has been printed along the sides of a sphere to give it a bloated appearance.
Tumblr media
https://researchblog.duke.edu/2017/04/26/visualizing-the-fourth-dimension/
When shining a light on its north pole, the cube creates a 2D plane.
Tumblr media
https://researchblog.duke.edu/2017/04/26/visualizing-the-fourth-dimension/
This can then be converted into a 3D object and connected with circular faces.
4 Dimensional Being Abilities:
The easiest way to explain the abilities of a being that is 4-dimensional is to consider how a 2-dimensional being would interpret us as 3-dimensional beings. In a 2-dimensional world, 3D beings would only be cross-sections. This would make us appear to only be blobs of shapes floating in mid-air.
Tumblr media
https://store.steampowered.com/app/619210/4D_Toys/
Moving into the 3rd dimension (i.e. a different z-coordinate than the one the 2D world is in) would make us “disappear.”
With this in mind, a 4D being would essentially be extremely powerful. They would be able to see everything in the 3rd dimension at once. They could “disappear” by moving into the 4th dimension. Heck, they could remove your heart without cutting you open, much like a 3D being could remove a dot from a circle without cutting it.
So Could Spinel Be 4-Dimensional?
Short answer: no. With what we’ve seen from the Movie and Future, Spinel could not be 4-dimensional.
Spinel would be super OP. She would have no problem defeating all the Diamonds AT ONCE let alone Steven without any of his powers except the power to stick to smooth surfaces, apparently...
Tumblr media
https://makutas-chronicle.tumblr.com/post/187538461056/spinel-garnet-and-true-kinda-love (You should check out this post. It brings up some really good points about the song “True Kind of Love”.)
Her whole reason for attacking Earth would be completely pointless! As a 4D being, she would have SEEN what happened to Pink Diamond and left the Garden before the show even started.
Even if gems had the technology and the massive amount of resources to create a being beyond their comprehension, what would be the point? Spinel was only meant to be a playmate. If they wanted Spinel to also have surveillance on Pink that could MAYBE justify creating a gem as complex as her. However, that still gives Spinel enough power to overthrow the Diamond Authority BY HERSELF.
The only way the events of the movie could take place AND Spinel could be this powerful is if she spent her time in the Garden suppressing her ability to avoid peaking while playing the “game” with Pink.
Tumblr media
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GBTN4ewBPQc
Maybe after thousands of years of suppressing her power, she lost the ability to use it? But then how did she get the Injector if not by walking into the 4th dimension? When she reset, wouldn’t she regain the ability without the memory of suppressing it? Wouldn’t she constantly morph and contort whenever she moved as her ability becomes goes haywire!?
Tumblr media
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dyhqb1ciB2s
I think it’s more likely that she can only infer the 4th dimension. Kind of like how we infer the 3rd dimension.
Yeah, apparently humans can’t actually see into the 3rd dimension. We only see the 2nd projections of 3D shapes and use light, shadows, and our position relative to objects around us to interpret depth.
Tumblr media
https://researchblog.duke.edu/2017/04/26/visualizing-the-fourth-dimension/
Maybe Spinel just has advanced retinas. Maybe she can see into the 3rd dimension and infer the 4th.
Tumblr media
https://researchblog.duke.edu/2017/04/26/visualizing-the-fourth-dimension/
Yes, she wouldn’t be able to flatten her gem or be the next dictator of all gem-kind, but it could explain what we see her do. She could walk around without half her head being gone one second and her leg the next.  She could have seen where the Injector and the Rejuvenator were through the 4th dimension. She maybe could have even navigated into the 4th dimension with her advanced vision and some effort.
The only thing this theory can’t explain is where that Rejuvenator came from and why it was so close to the Garden...Did Pink have a backup plan in case Spinel tried to follow her!?
Tumblr media
https://vocal.media/geeks/everything-you-need-to-know-for-steven-universe-the-movie-part-2
And that’s it! If you made it this far, you’re just as hopelessly nerdy as I am! Only you didn’t spend hours of your life writing a 10-page paper on whether a fictional character could take over the universe...
Special thanks to  a-second-chance-su-au for inspiration. I never would have made this nerd spaghetti if you hadn’t handed me the ingredients! Check them out if you like SU AUs featuring CG Spinel.
Do you have any suggestions? Criticisms? Ideas you want me to obsess over explore? Did I miss something? Do you have a counter-theory? Then just send in an ask! I’ll try my best to respond. Have a nice day and drink your energy beans!

[Behind-the-Scenes] HELIOS Rising Heroes: Animation Showcase
“HELIOS Rising Heroes: Animation Showcase” is an English voice fan project I worked on all by myself (barring voice actors) that took five months to make.
The original plan was to make just one video, but it ended up being eighteen of them!
Tumblr media
Link to YouTube playlist:
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL0UbdFyWSx0n_ewcd-t0iAB0adGe5lghH
In this write-up, I’ll be discussing details about the response to the project, recording all the footage, video editing, voice acting + audio processing, script translations + rewriting, which fonts were used, and even the emulator used. I’ve organized it into sections to make it easier to find certain things. Also, this is directed to English-speaking readers since I’m not gonna bother translating the entire thing to Japanese.
THE DREAM
I wanted to make this fandub ever since the game was released (in Aug 2020). I just knew that English voices would be extremely fitting to the world of HELIOS with a setting inspired by America and characters, places, and terms mostly in English. I was disappointed to hear that the studio behind the game, Cacalia Studio of Happy Elements K.K., had no interest to localize their games outside of Asia, which meant the chances of an English dub, let alone a global release were close to zero.
I was able to understand how to play the game thanks to the fan translators, some of which came from other Cacalia Studio games, and got inspired to continue learning Japanese (there was a previous attempt to translate Japanese lyrics years back).
What I thought was just the silly dream of one overseas player’s became something much more!
THE TIMELINE (BRIEF OVERVIEW)
I played the game for about two months prior to working on the project. Before starting the project, I had to sort out graphical and technical issues on my end first as I was unable to play the game smoothly until November.
November 2020
Finding all the in-game battle lines
Writing transliterations (romaji) of lines by ear
Learning and translating lines to Japanese
Started recording footage
December 2020
Further translation revisions
Held a casting call
Script rewriting and finalizing
January 2021
Completed casting
Started video editing (learning process)
Started audio processing
Recorded more footage
February 2021
Recorded more footage
Japanese script revisions
Finished working with VAs
Finished audio processing
Continued video editing
Published Preview video
March 2021
Recorded the last of the footage
Japanese subtitle revisions
Finished Showcase video
Finished Individual battle clips
Gave recommendations to VAs
The exact start and end dates were Nov 1st, 2020 to March 31st, 2021. Pretty neat.
RESPONSE TO THE PROJECT
I was absolutely shocked with the response to the preview video, which at the time of writing has just hit 10K views and almost 600 likes on Twitter and YouTube combined. Not bad for an unpaid hobby fandub (a joke only I find funny...) of an otherwise “niche” Japanese-only mobile game.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As of Apr 4th, 2021 - Thank you so much. This is more than I could’ve asked for.
The preview video blew up way more than anticipated, setting up for a bit of disappointment when the Showcase video was released.
The amount of views I expected for this project within its prime were a couple hundred views, so I’m content that the Showcase video reached that amount (it had ~500 by the end of March).
The expectations for the battle clips were an average of 100 views and a handful of likes - and each one got roughly that amount (or more) - so I’m also content with that, especially for something that’s just “bonus material”.
I tried my best to promote this project on Twitter with three main tweets. My one regret with promoting the project was making the second tweet after publishing the Showcase because the Japanese I wrote there was pretty terrible (as I was all worn out from editing and was in a haste to tweet about it). I tried to make up for it in a follow-up reply the next day, but it was too late. I was satisfied with how my third and final tweet and thread of battle clips turned out, but it sadly didn’t garner much attention. A reason for this was probably due to bad timing. I knew that the timing of the last tweet was awful as HeliosR did something special for April Fools’ day, plus the Easter event was being hyped around the same time, but I really wanted to finish up the project within March (my timezone, at least. It was already April 1st in Japan).
It was important to also make the videos accessible to the Japanese audience as they were a large portion of the viewers. This proved to be a challenge as my knowledge of Japanese is limited - at least for me, it’s easier to translate grammar-correct Japanese than it is to write my own sentences.
I ultimately decided against posting any of the videos on NicoNico because I wasn’t sure about Japan’s laws regarding copyrighted material. I knew it was already risky enough posting on social media and didn’t want to take any additional risks.
ABOUT THE FOOTAGE (1) – HEROES & ATTACK ORDER
HeliosR uses a gacha system, so to be able to even make something like this, you’d first need access to all 16 ★4 OG Heroes in the game.
I had them spread across five different accounts, four of which were reroll accounts. Asakou from the Cacalia RPG server gave me two of those accounts, and I rerolled myself for Keith and Ren during their Birthday Orders (one free 10-pull per account). Every account is also given a free ★4 selector ticket which I made good use of.
3,000 rubies (in-game currency) were sacrificed to pity the ★4 OG Dino when he was released in December just for the sake of the fandub!
Besides covering all of the Heroes, I also needed to play through each account to unlock certain story chapters, event stages, and evolve the Heroes for their shiny evolved CG art. Some of the Expert event stages (that had the Nighttime backgrounds) proved difficult to clear with a new account.
When using skills, the order of the Heroes were edited such that everyone was able to have the majority of their lines used at least once. All Heroes had two “receiving support” lines, two or three “supporting” lines, and two or three “skills against the enemy” lines. Some of the extra lines didn’t make it into the Showcase, so they were used for the individual clips instead.
Tumblr media
I should’ve used Gray instead of Marion for the account that had Billy because you can see Marion’s sprite in Billy’s image. xD
In the Showcase, you may notice that the "Union Attacks" consist of all the ★4 CG images. These were spliced together; I never had all four Heroes of the same sector on the same account. For example, I would have Gray, Asch, and Jay on one account and Billy on another account, recorded their ★4 Bursts separately using the same background (from unlocking the Expert stages on both accounts), and then edited all the footage together.
Tumblr media
Jay’s Burst was later re-recorded with a different attacking order so that he wouldn’t link to Billy.
It was also important to keep the same order of Bursts as well as use all four Bursts in the same turn. The ★4 Burst order was usually determined by who didn’t link skill with one another (with the exception of East sector as I was still figuring things out) because I didn’t want the link skill activation getting in the way of the animations.
As a little bonus, I also showed off the exclusive damaging skills of the Chapter 6 and 7 ★4 frames that I was lucky enough to pull from the gacha: Marion’s "Invitation To The Dance“ (roses), Faith’s “Synthetic Vibes” (beats), and Dino’s “Crow Mark Dead End” (claw marks).
ABOUT THE FOOTAGE (2) - BACKGROUNDS
Since I didn’t want to use the same battle music and backgrounds for all of the videos, I decided to use some of the themes from the limited-time events which went as far back as Nov 2020.
Each background has three variants (Daytime, Afternoon, Nighttime) and so I carefully picked them based on the colours. I ended up using mostly Expert stages - or Nighttime backgrounds, since Daytime versions were only used for Normal difficulty stages (which are too easy to clear).
Tumblr media
The backgrounds used for the Showcase, all from limited-time events.
I decided to mix up some of the Heroes from other sectors in the individual clips for fun, basing it off of their relationships with each other. Using South sector’s background for Gast’s clip was a purposeful choice because I already used the North sector’s background for the other three North sector Heroes. I made sure to include Akira and Will of the South sector in Gast’s clip so it didn’t feel too random!
The only default background I didn’t use was Chapter 2’s because I already made use of the Casino theme for OG West sector’s individual clips. (...Plus I didn’t really like that background :p)
Here’s a list of all the backgrounds I used:
Escape the Prison (Nov 2020) - used for Showcase [EAST]
Mission of CASINO (Nov 2020) - used for Junior, Faith, & Keith clips
HAPPY NEW YEAR SHOW! (Jan 2021) - used for Showcase [SOUTH]
Help! Cooking Hero! (Jan 2021) - used for Will and Oscar clips
A Sweet Spell Garnished With Chocolate (Feb 2021) - used for Showcase [WEST]
Grandiose Chinoiserie (Mar 2021) - used for Showcase [NORTH]
The Hero Is A Detective!? (Mar 2021) - used for Billy and Jay clips
Default backgrounds: Chapters 1, 3, 4 (shared with 7), 5 (shared with 6) - used for all other clips
Tumblr media
The Christmas event was the only event that went unused during the Nov 2020 - Mar 2021 period.
I didn’t record the East sector event (Christmas) in Dec 2020 because I was actually too busy with the casting call! I also didn’t think I would make use of it after already recording the Prison event intended for East sector. The project ended up taking so long that it actually benefited from having a wider selection of events over the months, which also showcased the beauty of the game.
ABOUT THE WORK & VIDEO EDITING
Hardware:
A decent computer.
A pair of no-name earbuds I found while cleaning out some junk.
Software:
All FREE!
*There’s a catch
NoxPlayer* emulator (debloated, read more about in its own section) and Open Broadcast Studio were used to record game footage and sounds.
Davinci Resolve was the main tool I used to edit the videos. A very demanding program that I only recommend using if you have a mid to high end computer.
MediBang was used to edit some of the art like the logos, but I ended up using Resolve for the majority of the graphics, including the thumbnails.
Audacity and Cakewalk were used to edit audio.
Many aspects for this project took longer than I had hoped because there was a learning process with using Resolve for the first time. I’m also a bit of a perfectionist, re-exporting videos tons of times just to fix small mistakes. Lastly, the time it took to make all the fancy effects was longer than I’d estimated. As the project dragged on, there was pressure to not delay the release of the videos any longer than I had to. A lot of this was self-imposed though.
There were days where I just did something else other than work on the project, which helped re-fuel my motivation when I decided to pick it up again.
Pretty much everything in the videos were taken from the game itself. The only graphics that were taken from the official website instead were the Substance symbols (the pictures with HERO at the bottom).
Additional overlay graphics were custom-made. It took two whole days to make the 3-second long sector intros and another two days to create and animate the arrow graphics for the credits. These were made using Resolve’s fusion and colour features. Much of the edit was inspired by the official HeliosR designs.

The Preview video took after the ★4 Burst mini-previews as part of HeliosR’s promotional campaign, uploaded before the game was released.

The credits at the end of the Showcase were inspired by a different video, this time being the Half-Anniversary video.
The Showcase - which had a duration of 29:07 - was 11.5GB large in size. It took almost three hours to render (which I re-rendered to fix things) and two DAYS to upload to YouTube because I experienced multiple uploading interruptions. It’s a good thing you can re-upload the same video to continue where you left off without having to restart the entire process.
The individual hero clips didn’t take as long to make (but they took a while anyway as I re-uploaded some of them to fix minor mistakes). The recommendations for the VAs that were given alongside the publishing of each clip also spanned over another five days as I wanted to personalize and think about each one carefully.
A pretty frustrating part of the project was the prevalent lag when recording footage, which may have been due to the emulator and/or some technical things on my end. The Prison event used for the Showcase was the very first one I recorded when I wasn’t as aware about the lag, and so it suffered a bit as a result. The Union Attacks were the worst offender. I re-recorded the same battle scenes several times each just in case, then went through the footage frame-by-frame in Resolve and chose the ones with the least amount of lag. If all of the recorded footage suffered lag at different parts, I would even compare and splice together parts of them that didn’t lag. There was also audio lag (a known issue of NoxPlayer) so I had to move all of the audio forward by 1/3 of a second.
By the end of the project I had over 200 videos of game footage with a total size of over 24GB and a total duration exceeding 9 hours, not even counting all the ones that went unused.
Tumblr media
The Heroes weren’t the only ones who evolved. MS Paint not recommended for thumbnails.
Overall, (despite the few mistakes here and there that nobody other than me would notice) I was happy with how everything turned out, down to the gorgeous thumbnails! I am an artist, after all~ :^)
I also have much more respect for video editors. They should be called VIDEO ANIMATORS!
ABOUT THE VOICES & AUDIO PROCESSING
When making a dub, it doesn’t mean we want to replace or best the original language, we just want to give it a new interpretation. In fact, the characters’ voice descriptions and direction provided in the scripts were heavily inspired by the seiyuu (Japanese VAs) and how they performed their lines.
Honestly, this was THE dream cast!! Some of the VAs had comparably similar voices to the Japanese ones which was an amazing coincidence. The ones that may not have sounded as similar had unique interpretations that I felt still suited their characters well. I also chose actors based on their performance, and everyone delivered!
Voice actors were not expected to imitate the Japanese voices and lines. They were provided direction and reference videos to help time their lines, but were otherwise given liberty when it came to their own interpretations.
You shouldn’t hear any jarring differences between the voice actors’ microphones and setups. That’s because I took the time to process the audio. Faith’s audio was submitted to me post-processed so it was used as a guideline for what the audio quality should sound like. Some of the others had comparable quality to Faith’s, so I only added compression to balance their volumes. Most of them benefited from equalization of various levels - this took some experimenting back and forth with the frequency spectrum. Lastly, a couple more benefited from clip fixing, noise gate, de-essing and/or click removal. It was very important for VAs to have at least decent room treatment; while small differences between mic frequencies can always be altered, echoes are difficult if not impossible to remove completely.
I feel that audio engineering is highly underrated and more important than ever as voice actors continue to record from home studios.
And in case it wasn’t already clear, this was purely voluntary work. No VAs or myself were paid to contribute anything for the project. Though, the experience alone was worth more than any amount of money.
ABOUT THE SCRIPT & TRANSLATIONS
HELIOS Rising Heroes「エリオスR」English Translation - Battle Lines
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ImWrAfvS_hgp6qr5qt30vCP63uHEk2o79uqY0h-3wL4/edit?usp=sharing
This spreadsheet consists of the literal translations for all the battle lines I could find in the game (it still isn’t done -yet-, plan to finish it when I get the chance). These are only fanmade and are not guaranteed to be accurate, especially as I wasn’t able to find another translator to help or proofread it.
After translating the lines, I made many additional revisions from the literal meanings such as changing the intention of the line slightly to flow better, having extra words added in to provide more context, or changing them completely. Thus, the lines used in the video are NOT literal TLs!
Another thing of note that may not seem apparent, but is what I feel an important aspect of character writing, is to remain completely unbiased towards all the characters. Personal favourites aside, I ensured that every Hero had their own spotlight as well as lines written in a way that remained faithful to their personality, no matter how unlikeable they were (looking at you, Asch Albright).
Even after giving voice actors their scripts, I made another revision in February after the release of the aforementioned Half-Anniversary video with the transcriptions for the ★4 Bursts, which is when I discovered a couple of mistakes with my transcriptions. This resulted in me having to edit out a part of one of the voice actors’ lines (Billy’s “String Show” line in his ★4 Burst) because of a translation mistake! I’m really glad I was able to double-check the correct lines before releasing the Preview video, or it would’ve looked pretty silly to Japanese viewers.
The last set of revisions were just minor edits to the subtitles (such as using kanji instead of kana) while I was working on subtitling all the videos.
Notable changes included:
WILL SPROUT
During attacking combo
Original line:
tanonda zo... ike! / “Counting on you... Reach!”
Rewritten line:
“I’ll become stronger... For everyone!”
The rewritten line is a condensed version of one of Will’s ★4 Evolved CG lines (“For everyone... I’ll become more and more stronger!”). He had “Reach!” in both his attacking combo and regular Burst, so I gave him an extra unique line.
★4 Burst
Original line:
warui kedo... kore de oshimai da! / “Sorry, but... it ends with this!”
Rewritten line:
“I’m sorry, but... it’s over for you! HAAAH!”
There were a couple of oversights I made with the script, and this was one of them that didn’t fit the animation properly. Props to Ryan for coming up with the extra shout at the end! So yeah, we kinda winged this line.
OSCAR BALE
When using skills against the enemy, during attacking combo, and in the ★4 Burst (repeat line)
Original line:
osoi! / “Slow!”
Rewritten lines:
“Too slow!” / “You’re slow!” / “Over here!”
Rewritten simply because I wanted to minimize repeated lines and change things up.
GAST ADLER
When supporting an ally, and during attacking combo
Original lines:
tetsudau ze / “I’ll help (you).”
itchouagari / “All done.”
Rewritten lines:
“I’ve got your six.”
“Target eliminated.”
I wanted to add in a few military terms to reflect Gast’s background.
FAITH BEAMS
★4 CG line (for the credits)
Original line (literal TL):
“It’s not terrible or evil, right? Surely this isn’t punishing... I guess?”
Rewritten line (with “mistake”):
“I’m not doing anything horrible or evil, alright? This is just business as usual... I suppose?”
Faith’s CG line had a mistake when I first translated and handed it off to his actor. I accidentally wrote “oshigoto” (work/business) instead of “oshioki” (punishment). The original has him pretty much saying the same thing twice anyway, so I would say the intention was still retained.
KEITH MAX
When supporting an ally
Original line:
gambare yo~ / “Do your best~.” or “Hang in there~.”
Rewritten line:
“Stay alive, would ya~?”
I know Keith’s meant to say “serious” things in a sarcastic or snarky way, but I just had to add in this fun line!
DINO ALBANI
Using skills against the enemy
Original lines:
haa! / “Haah!”
hei! / “Hey!”
Rewritten lines:
“I can do this!”
“Leave it to me!”
The Japanese lines for Dino’s offensive skills were rather basic, with the third and unchanged line “Here goes!” being a repeat line Dino also says when attacking. I wanted to give him some more lines - as standard as they are - to show his personality a bit more, along with having an additional fun West sector interaction. The changes fit the animations better too. (I actually had his VA say the "Haah!" line, but ended up using a different take of “Here goes!” in place of it.)
ABOUT THE FONTS
Fonts were taken from various sources and were either FREE for personal use or had an open font license. I didn’t have access to the commercial fonts (such as Futura) used in-game, so these were the following fonts I made use of:
Techna Sans looked similar enough to Futura when capitalized, and still looked decent in lowercase.
Jost* is a font that was derived from Futura. Some of its uppercase letters are sharper than Futura's, but it worked pretty well for the text in the credits.
Gau Font Over Drive was used for the ANIMATION SHOWCASE text.
Gen Jyuu Gothic LP was used for the majority of the Japanese text and its English letters were also used for the battle clip subtitles on Twitter.
Meiryo UI (default font) was used for the Preview videos’ subtitles.
Noto Serif JP (default Google font) was used for the serif Japanese text in the credits.
ABOUT NOXPLAYER ANDROID EMULATOR
ETA: AS OF VERSION 1.1.18 (04/23/21), EMULATORS NO LONGER WORK WITH HELIOSR (AS WELL AS OTHER CACALIA STUDIO GAMES). THE BELOW INFORMATION IS OUTDATED.
If, for whatever reason you’re interested in using NoxPlayer, you should take caution when installing it onto your machine. I don’t advocate for or recommend installing Nox. I had to resort to emulation so that I could record the footage and sounds directly from my computer using OBS. The reason why I used Nox specifically is because Cacalia Studio doesn’t like emulators, blocking most of them from running their games. I found further instructions on how to run the game in Nox from the Cacalia RPG Discord (via Twitter @HeliosR_en).
First, not all Nox versions are safe. It should only be installed from the official website, Bignox. More recent versions (I believe from 6.3.0.6 and up) may contain malware such as Segurazo and Chromium packaged with the installer which can be annoying to remove. The version of Nox I used was 6.3.0.0 (you can install older versions, then just don’t update it), which has Android 7 and doesn’t contain packaged malware (AFAIK).
Second, NoxPlayer may be “free” to use, but it comes with bloatware and profits off of its users’ data by collecting and sending it to many different servers. The below guide is what I used to debloat Nox and minimize communication to these servers. Scroll down the comments for additional domains to add to the hosts file.

ENDING NOTES (TL;DR)
Tumblr media
Images of the first and last video for the HeliosR project. We’ve come full circle!
One very tired and average person decided to translate, script, cast, direct, and edit an ambitious project all by herself using only FREE tools, and ended up taking too long to finish it. But at least she finished it, right?
Translators = RESPECT
Voice actors = RESPECT
Video editors = RESPECT
Audio engineers = R E S P E C T (their work is especially behind-the-scenes)
Hell, I even like Asch now.
During my time working on this, there was one question I always had in mind: “What would the fans want?”
I hope this follow-up has given you a bit of insight into the makings of the HeliosR project. Thank you for reading!

Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution - Kizuna
I’ve been a fan of Digimon since I first watched it as a kid, but I’m also one of those weird fans where I’m more excited to see the series give us something new rather than treading old ground (I’m not very nostalgic in general), so I wasn’t actually that excited for Kizuna, especially after the terrible experience it was to sit through Tri. Still, the movie surprised me, and grabbed me a lot more than I though it would. I didn’t cry at the ending, but I did well up a bit. Still, this movie isn’t without its problems.
Rather than going over the goods and bads like I normally do, I’m actually going to go through this one chronologically, as I feel it’s the best way to tackle this film’s strengths and flaws. Sit back for a long one, folks.
Chapter 1 (Parrotmon and the First Adventure): We start out with the same intro music we got in the original Digimon Adventure movie. This first section is full of a lot of very purposeful callbacks, like Greymon VS Parrotmon and the recreated evolution sequences. This is the part of the movie where I think this works the best, grabbing people’s nostalgia right at the beginning, getting them to remember the good times with the Digimon before the drama starts. My only, very minor, nitpicky issue is that the Agumon to Greymon sequence is a bit choppier than the original, but it’s also not meant to play 30+ times over the course of two years, so it’s easily forgiven. Also, I’m gonna put PIN 1 in the aurora, because we’ll be coming back to that later.
The animation here is also fantastic (the few moments of off CG aside). It’s been a while since I’ve seen fight scenes this good, and this is probably the best they’ve ever been in Digimon. I also enjoy that Taichi and Yamato are immediately on good terms. So much of Tri was them arguing with each other, so seeing them as friends is nice.
Tumblr media
Chapter 2 (The New Normal): Something I didn’t notice the first time, but did on a repeat watch was Sora’s Digivice with its timer ticking down in the opening credits. I’m not a fan of how little Sora was in this movie, especially considering her reinterpretation in the reboot hasn’t been that strong, but I do think the route they went with her was fitting for her character.
Tumblr media
Seeing Taichi and Yamato in a rut while everyone else is pursuing their dreams is well done. I definitely feel like I’ve been there before in one form or another, and it’s easy to empathize with. Also, seeing the two of them drinking is so surreal. And them talking about how they have a hard time fitting their Digimon into their lives, only to almost immediately have the idea of losing on them thrust upon them hits very hard on the first watch.
Menoa’s voice... As a native English speaker, hearing people who are supposed to be American in anime only to spout obviously line-read Katakana is always a little vexing to me. I definitely weigh it a bit based on the budget of the show I’m watching, but this is a very big budget movie and they could have gotten a better trainer at the very least to go over the lines with her. Her character is well done, though. I thought she was certainly suspicious my first watch, but on a rewatch I caught more hints, such as her reaction after Izumi mentioned his database.
Chapter 3 (It’s in the Internet): This is where I started falling off a bit. Let me know if this sounds familiar, “Taichi, Izumi, Yamato, and Takeru must battle a Digimon inside the internet. Just as they seem to have the upper hand, it evolves and the children must rely on Omegamon to defeat it.” This particular part of the movie is recycled from Children’s War Game. Even Eosmon darting around the arena with a timer going, being difficult to hit and having to be forced to slow down is reminiscent of how Diablomon was defeated. This really took me out of the film, and it kind of gets worse, but we’ll get there.
Maybe this is me, but I can’t help but feel the whales during Omegamon’s evolution are a callback to Summer Wars >_> I do like the new version of his sword with the flared guard.
Tumblr media
Chapter 4 (Some Old Yet Newer Friends): I don’t agree with Menoa’s explanation for why Digimon disappear, but my evidence as to why hasn’t appeared yet, so we’ll put PIN 2 in that. Menoa’s assistant on the other hand was a decent red herring. I wasn’t sure which of them it actually was until the full reveal.
I can’t properly express how excited I was to see Miyoko and Hawkmon after Tri. The 02 crew got so shafted that seeing them here and how involved they were in the plot had me legit excited. There’s actually a ton of 02 love in this movie in the background that I was very appreciative of. That brings me to another point, though, that this movie feels very responsive to Tri. The heavy inclusion of the 02 cast over many of the other original Adventure members, the number of cameos from the final episodes of 02, and a very certain plot point that we’ll stick PIN 3 in for now all point to this. Heck, it was even revealed to be in production near the end of Tri, which was supposed to be the series finalé, except people didn’t like Tri so they apparently didn’t want the series to go out on a sour note (though not a bitter-sweet one).
Tumblr media
Chapter 5 (People Change): Can we talk about how Agumon finds Taichi’s stash? It’s a little too real, man. But this scene also brings up the point that the Digimon haven’t really changed since 1999, yet the children have significantly. The Digimon change their appearance and the humans change on the inside. It’s also a little weird how the Digimon aren’t that beat up about saying goodbye. I mean, they don’t want to, but they aren’t crying their eyes out. But we’ll talk about that more when we actually pull out PIN 2.
Tumblr media
Also, seeing Sora at the end of this chapter, knowing what’s happening to her is really sad on the second watch.
As a little bonus, I was questioning the Digivice Smart Phones until Taichi turned his off and Izumi’s name popped up. Good show-don’t-tell. That scene also has some great lighting...
Chapter 6 (Better than Himekawa Maki): You definitely feel bad for Menoa. Her story is very (and probably purposefully) similar to that of Himekawa Maki’s from Tri, but in this case we feel more for her because she went through what our leads are going through right now. Her plan makes sense to her because of her tauma. And as we’re talking about the similarities to Tri, I’m going to pull PIN 3 and mention that Taichi and Yamato are going through the same thing that Meiko did. It’s strange that they’re recycling the Tri plot for this, but it works so much better here because our connections to these characters, that we’ve known for years, are so much stronger than those of the new ones introduced in Tri. And it’s 1/10th of the run time, too. It’s almost like Tri was terrible or something O_O
Tumblr media
Chapter 7 (Touching Down like a Revenging Hurricane): So now we’re on to a Digimon trapping Chosen Children and reverting them back to children all for the sake of one Chosen Child who has aged up. Man, that sounds familiar. It’s almost as if this plot point was taken from another movie or something...
Look, I wouldn’t harp on it so much if every Adventure + 02 Digimon movie didn’t have plot elements recycled for this film. The beginning was Adventure, the first battle with Eosmon was War Game, Tri is sprinkled throughout, we’re currently on Touchdown, and everything from here up to the final is Revenge of Diablomon. Don’t get me wrong, this was probably on purpose, and they are well integrated, but it pulls me out of the movie super hard. As I’m writing this, I’m on the scene with the 100 Eosmon reveal, just like all the Kuramon. They also do the thing all the Kuramon do where they combine together and defeat Omegamon (by removing his arms, weirdly), only to have two Digimon achieve a new evolution to defeat it.
That being said though, it is, again, handled very well. The damage you see done to Omegamon in these scenes is heartbreaking, and you can certainly feel the weight of the situation.
Tumblr media
I also want to pull PIN 1 here, because they bring up the aurora again. There’s never actually an explanation for it, is there? It just shows up one day. It helped Menoa make Eosmon, it drove Parrotmon and apparently other Digimon crazy, but where it came from and why it’s here is never actually explained. I feel like this is bait in case they’re ever at the point where they need another big nostalgia push again and a plot for another movie. But I also don’t want to see that. After Reboot wraps (even though I like it) I’d like to see a new cast, Digimon, and story please.
I also don’t believe a word of anything Menoa says in these scenes, but she does a very good job of pushing Taichi and Yamato’s buttons. I also want to point out, it’s Greymon that isn’t phased by all this and goes on the attack when they’re doubting themselves.
Chapter 8 (An Unreliable Narrator): Time to pull PIN 2.
Tumblr media
This is the reason why I don’t believe Menoa. This scene. Menoa kept going on about children losing their infinite possibilities and being unable to supply their Digimon with power, but the Digimon we see going through this situation don’t reflect that. Evolution is a two-way street. We help the Digimon evolve, but in turn they help us evolve, and it is when we reach the pinnacle of our evolution, when the job of the Digimon is done that they disappear. Menoa sped through her evolution because she wanted to become an adult, and when she finally achieved the dream she had set for herself is when Morphomon disappeared, but she’s so traumatized by her disappearance that her views on the situation are negative. This has to be a bad thing, there can’t be a positive reason why the Digimon would disappear. But Agumon and Gabumon are happy. Happy that they could see the great people that Taichi and Yamato turned out to be.
Gotta say, the CG fight with Omegamon and Eosmon (Perfect) isn’t as great as the previous ones. Definitely gets better when we get to Eosmon (Ultimate). This is also a scene where they very easily show the stakes by having Taichi and Yamato getting injured, which we don’t see a lot of, not to mention Omegamon getting sliced up as I said previously.
Tumblr media
Also, how many kids got stuck with Numemon as a partner?
Chapter 9 (We’re All Together): I hate that whistle. Every time I hear it in Adventure I start crying. And seeing Sora without Piyomon in these scenes is also heart wrenching on a repeat. I enjoy the others getting involved in the Eosmon fight, but I would have liked it if all the Chosen Children who were captured helped out (though I understand the nightmare that would be aging up all those 02 designs). Overall, just some good, back-to-back emotional moments.
Tumblr media
Agumon Bond of Courage and Gabumon Bond of Friendship are decent designs. They definitely feel more newer Digimon than anything that would have appeared in the first season, but that’s ok. It took me a while to get used to Agumon’s new face (it’s kinda weird how human they get; makes me feel like wanted this to be a Bio-Merge). Though brief, their appearance is also beautifully animated.
Tumblr media
Seeing Menoa lose Morphomon is also pretty emotional. Actually, this whole ending sequence (y’know, the part of the movie that’s the most itself rather than rehashing old material) is very good, and it’s constant heart-tugs one after another.
Tumblr media
Chapter 10 (Goodbye for Now): As I said, there’s a lot of tug-at-your-heartstrings moments throughout the film (especially the ending), but this is the biggest one. This is the one that almost got me. I’m choked up a bit even writing this. It doesn’t help that they end it with a non-movie, realistic cry. But as Gennai said, as long as you have infinite possibilities...
This movie does feel like it embraces the epilogue from 02, and in that epilogue everyone has their Digimon again. And when’s the moment in your life when your life becomes chaotic and hectic and full of infinite possibilities again? The unifying thing everyone in the epilogue has? Kids.
I know that sounds weird, but it makes sense. I can totally imagine Taichi sitting on the couch, and his wife walks in and tells him she’s pregnant, and there’s this stunned silence for a moment, then Agumon pops out from under the cushions and says “How did that happen!?” I’m sure there are other ways it could happen, but that’s the most comedic and “Toei pushing having kids to help with the Japanese population crisis” way I can think of doing it.
I’ll also give special mention to the credits, where they go out of their way to show the 02 Crew with their Digimon, but the main cast without. But, again, we know they get them back. And hopefully they don’t make that movie anytime soon, because I’m sick of Adventure. I’d like new things, please!
Overall, this is a good movie, but it is, to me, heavily hampered by the fact that it is too nostalgic. The animation and writing is fantastic, but that writing is built on the back of elements from the previous movies. If you haven’t watched all those movies multiple times like I have, you’ll probably enjoy it a lot more than I did (and I enjoyed it a lot, still), but be aware. Next time we talk Digi-Shop will probably be about Reboot.
Unless I manage to get my hands on the rest of the Xros Wars toys. (Where are you, MailBirdramon!)

Winter Anime 2020 Reviews: brought to you by quarantine
aw shit look who’s got the time to do some of these again yeah that’s right it’s me
22/7
Tumblr media
For 11/12 of its runtime this was an astonishingly forced exercise in hacky tragic backstory that thoroughly answers the question of what happens when assembly line jobbers jump on the already rickety KyoAni bandwagon. So I was ready to give it a well deserved meme score of 3.14/10. Then it remembered it actually had a gimmick and managed to completely fail at that as well, with one of the most thematically misguided endings I can think of. Oh well, if nothing else I laughed. 2/10
Asteroid in Love
Tumblr media
Well, it’s competent and inoffensive. What else can I say? I guess it’s pretty amusing how blatant the gay marriage implications get by the end, but that’s not really, you know, quality all by its own (and Harukana Receive does it better). It’s also weird how its first season clearly ends at episode 9 and it just quickly does a second one in the time it has left. Apart from that it’s a slightly above-average Kiraralike with good character moments but a real drought of content (note: dropping exposition on your topic isn’t content) in the middle. Fun enough, but really doesn’t leave me wanting more. 6/10

Tumblr media
This had much potential to suck but then it didn’t. The biggest surprise was that Dorohedoro is a comedy; a splatter comedy with a core story worth taking seriously, yes, but this is not horror, or mystery, or even action, even if it has all those elements at points. And it manages to be consistently funny. The other big surprise is that the nonsense really does start to come together and is meaningful where it counts, so it has much better worldbuilding than most. Looks really good too - you might take exception to the CG, but it allowed MAPPA to make the rest look great so it’s overall still a plus. Definitely needs a sequel though, because the plot seems to just get started and then it ends like there’s an episode next week. 8/10
ID: INVADED
Tumblr media
Ei Aoki’s Inception fanfic turned out very nice, with neat visuals, cool characters and a story that comes together in the end. I mean, come on, it’s an anime where Kenjiro Tsuda literally talks people to death, how can I not like it. It’s not perfect; it’s stuck with some pacing problems, strangely superfluous side characters and ultimately less ambition than it could (maybe even should) have. But it’s also weird in a good way and moderately thoughtful without being pretentious about it. 8/10
If My Favorite Pop Idol Made It to the Budokan, I Would Die
Tumblr media
Romantic comedy? Eh, maybe not quite. Funny riffing on wota dumbassery without being mean-spirited about it? Yep. Oshibudo gets the tone (the critical aspect in a show like this) right and it actually ranks fairly high simply as an idol show when that’s not even the point, which is really surprising. It’s just very charming, even if a little simple. 8/10
Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!
Tumblr media
So everyone’s losing their shit over how great Eizouken is and I’m just like nah, man. Not that it’s truly bad, it certainly has its fun moments and undeniably cool animation at times. But it really says a lot when in a show supposedly all about how amazing creativity is, the no-fun-allowed producer is the only character I like - Kanamori is indeed great, shame about Nerdlinger and Plot Device though. And it’s full of the kind of standard boomer animation bromides that just make me think “well, if Ghibli is supposed to be so great, why am I watching this instead of the real thing?” It also has notably poor and uncreative use of background music, which wouldn’t irk me as much if it wasn’t lecturing on the topic. At this point I’m fairly certain that I simply don’t like Yuasa’s style much, no matter what he does. 6/10
Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story
Tumblr media
So I’m watching the “final” episode of this and I realize that I care about this random, poorly explained fanservice fight between Mami and Sayaka much more than I care about any of the characters this show is ostensibly about. And that’s pretty much Magireco in a nutshell: It has very little of its own, what it does have is split among way too many video game characters, and it’s at its best when it’s just being dumb and bombastic or lazily replicating the style of Madoka. It’s definitely not good (and the things it does to the Madoka lore are double ungood), but as long as you keep in mind that it’s just meaningless Madoka-ish things, it’s barely entertaining enough. 5/10
Natsunagu!
Tumblr media
Natsunagu turned out to be a pleasant (if very cheap) short film that’s severely compromised by broken up into weekly 3-minute chunks. Episodes that short can work, but not for material that depends on atmosphere and character engagement. I can only assume I’d like it more if I watched it all in one go. 5/10
Science Fell in Love, So I Tried to Prove It
Tumblr media
This one started out as a one-note romantic comedy with the rare novel note, which then got more and more tired as it went on, and the introduction of decidedly less novel characters didn’t help. But by the end it recovered somewhat from not being much good at comedy anymore by being actually pretty good at paying off a romance, which is maybe even rarer. Remove bear though, what the hell. 6/10
Somali and the Forest Spirit
Tumblr media
Somali just kept doing its thing (which is dadfeels/protect the blob). Still can’t think of another show so intensely laser-focused on that one thing, to the point they’re constructing an entire fantasy universe around it. I liked the fluffy/introspective parts a lot more so than the grimdark/”let’s get Somali into some danger so dad can rescue her” ones, but at least the former ones are more common overall, and I understand that both are important for the other one to work. So yeah, good show, even if I wish it used the big guns less often. 7/10
Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun
Tumblr media
I wasn’t too hot on this one at first (apart from the looks, which were always really cool), but I have to say it has won me over by the end. It has likeable and occasionally funny characters, some meat to its setting and a mildly interesting streak of intrigue running though it. Of course it also doesn’t really answer anything, but I’m satisfied. 7/10
Yatogame-chan Kansatsu Nikki S2
Tumblr media
Peer pressure presents: the other tourism short of the season, ft. material that fits the format. While it’s still not really good, it’s an improvement over S1. Mainly because it stops trying to extract humor from the characters themselves and gets back to dropping the hot #nagoyatruths, which are the thing I’m here for. 6/10

Note
Saw your previous anon answer! Why is Cybird upsetting you? :(
Many, many reasons.
1. Gacha is a trap. I don’t need or want a gambling addiction. Most of the time you get worthless avatar items. *cough* bears *cough*
2. I very much hate games with energy or tickets. I prefer to get the full story upfront. I’d rather be able to finish a story in a couple hours than have to play a tiny bit every day for nearly a month and have to try to remember the beginning. I find that reading everything at once is more emotionally impacting than sleeping on it over such a long period of time.
3. Sure they give you lots of “new” content with the use of events, but you have to pay an arm and a leg to rank high enough to get decent rewards.
4. Some (most) things are ridiculously priced. I’ve spent enough on IkeVamp to be able to buy at least 3 games for my Xbox that are beautifully voiced and have amazing graphics.
5. I hate having to do missions and love battles to be able to continue. Especially when you’re trying to get through love battles in the middle of an event.
6. I don’t like having to deal with avatars. Not to mention that customization is very poor unless *cough cough* you pay for new items.
7. Their games in general don’t do anything for me emotionally. And that probably has something to do with that “let’s see what happens tomorrow” BS.
8. I’m really over the whole “transported to another world/time period” thing.
9. MC usually has some goofy expression in the CGs.
10. They use the same character types/personalities for every game.
11. They make the more popular characters harder to get rewards for.
12. They like to tease for months on end about a new character coming out. They announced in December I think about Mitsuhide and we didn’t get him until this month. I feel like they just did it to try and keep IkeSen relevant but who knows. I don’t even like Mitsuhide, I just think it was an insanely irritating thing to do to the people who do like him.
13. They bring in new characters when they haven’t even released the routes for the characters they already have. I understand that they run out of things to do when there’s so many characters to create stories for, but it’s just something that gets on my nerves.
Thanks for listening to my rant.

Fall 2020 Superlatives
Tumblr media
I definitely turned this season into a massive undertaking. After graduating college, I found a lot of free time on my hands, and in a season with 38 brand-new shows there were a good number of them that appealed to me. I started with 18 series on my docket and only ended up watching 11 of them the whole way through. Still, I ended up with plenty of options for this season’s Superlatives, so enjoy my terrible opinions as I hand out these awards.
Best OP
Most of the shows this season had OPs that were at least passable, but there were only a small handful that I felt were remarkable in any sense. In terms of visuals and tone-setting I think I Believe What You Said from Higurashi NEW is phenomenal, but there’s one thing that’s really holding it back and that’s the facial animations because they are REALLY bad. Literature from Majo no Tabitabi is also great from a visual standpoint but the song isn’t quite as breathtaking as the landscapes. There is ONE OP this season, however, that hit all the right notes... no pun intended.
Winner: “Dying Wish” - Moriarty the Patriot
Dying Wish immediately establishes Moriarty the Patriot as something special. It’s gritty and sinister, and the visuals reflect this tone perfectly. The ominous London backdrop complimented by the intense chorus and strings sent chills down my spine the first time I saw it. There’s knife fights, gun fights, Moriarty jumps off Big Ben and points a gun at his own head, it’s a great 90 second sequence that manages to be more tense than Higurashi NEW’s OP in part because of how grounded it is. This is one of those OPs that I just love everything about, and I had a strong feeling this would be my pick for Fall 2020′s best OP right after my first viewing.
Honorable Mentions: -”I Believe What You Said” - Higurashi NEW -”Higher’s High” - Warlords of Sigrdrifa -”Literature” - Majo no Tabitabi -”Needleknot” - Ikebukuro West Gate Park -”Kaikai Kitan” - Jujutsu Kaisen
Best ED
Winner: “Lost in Paradise” - Jujutsu Kaisen
Yeah I’m not even gonna bother with any build-up here. I mean, what else could it possibly be? Lost in Paradise is one of the greatest visual and auditory treats that I’ve ever seen not just in an anime, but in any form of media, and I can easily call it my favorite anime song of all time. Its visual style is just as fun as the song itself, it’s jazzy and upbeat and hits you with that perfect feeling of whiplash immediately after a tense conclusion to most episodes, setting things up perfectly for Juju Stroll. It’s just a perfect sequence in every sense of the word.
Honorable Mentions: -”Sayonara Namida” - Warlords of Sigrdrifa (Seriously in any other season this would have been an easy winner) -”Etoile” - Noblesse
Worst OP
This is an award that I probably won’t be handing out too often. Even the shows that I found more mediocre this season like Ikebukuro West Gate Park or Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear have really good OPs. That said, if you’ve been following the blog you know there’s one OP from this season that I absolutely detest.
Winner: “STEAL!!” - Akudama Drive
I love Akudama Drive, I think it’s a stylistically brilliant show with great fights and characters, as well as one of the most satisfying conclusions a single-season anime original could possibly offer. That being said, HOLY FUCK is this song terrible. Seriously, you have to actively TRY to make a song this bad. It’s essentially just the words “KISS ME” looped over and over, with constantly varying tempos and no effort to hit the right notes. It’s a shame too because like the rest of the show, the visuals are really cool, but it’s held back so much by just how god-awful the vocals are. My least favorite moment in the entire show is the bit towards the end of the finale where they play the OP in the background during the chase scene because I had to mute a goddamn chase scene. There aren’t many shows where I’ll always skip the OP no matter what mood I’m in, but Akudama Drive is definitely one of them. STEAL!! is ear-bleeding garbage and the one positive about Akudama Drive coming to a close is that I’ll never have to subject my ears to the screeching of KISS ME KISS ME KISS ME ever again.
Most Pleasant Surprise
I was going to make this a tie between two series originally, but as it turns out, they have a very common trait between them. What do I mean, you may ask?
Winner: A-1 Pictures
A-1 Pictures hit me with two shows this season that I absolutely love: Hypnosis Mic and Warlords of Sigrdrifa. Going into Fall 2020 and poring through every synopsis to see what shows would interest me, both of these were the two shows that really had me going back and forth, internally debating whether or not I should watch them. In the end, I decided to take a chance on them, thinking that if I didn’t enjoy them all that much I could say I tried and move on. What I ended up with were two of my top 5 shows this season, and shows that I would unironically give an 8/10 to. Hypnosis Mic was just a TON of fun to watch every week with stunningly well-implemented CG animation, diverse characters, great music and a lot of personality. Sigrdrifa is a much more serious, emotionally-charged series that baits you in with promises of cute anime girls only to expertly deliver themes of coping with failure and discovering who your true family is. A-1 Pictures absolutely KILLED it for me this season, and I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on their works for Winter 2021 in the hopes of finding another set of hidden gems.
Also the Sigrdrifa dub is pretty damn good too.
Biggest Disappointment
There were two strong contenders for this award, so I really had to sit and ask myself: which one gave me less to enjoy than the other? In the end the conclusion I reached was about what I expected.
Winner: Burn the Witch
I’ve already talked at-length about why I absolutely hate Burn the Witch. It’s a terrible excuse for a movie that’s completely dedicated to the idea of doing nothing with its characters (except Balgo who is the worst character I’ve seen in an anime), with an insultingly bad conclusion and the animation being the only PASSABLE aspect of it all. Even after dropping 7 shows this season, the only competition Burn the Witch really had was Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear, but at the end of the day my disappointment with that show was based on my personal expectations (and love of BOFURI) vs reality. Burn the Witch is terrible on its own, and is completely deserving of this distinction.
Best Character
Winner: Satoru Gojo - Jujutsu Kaisen
I’ll be blunt, I don’t watch many shonen anime, so for me to really get into a shonen series, it needs a strong selling point. Obviously the shonen I have the most experience with is JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, and the selling point for that series was honestly the memes. Jujutsu Kaisen, on the other hand, had me sold on the strength of its characters. Itadori is a great lead, but Gojo stands tall above the rest. Jujutsu Kaisen perfectly balances his overpowered nature with his fantastic comedic relief potential, and I love every scene he’s in whether it’s a fight or a joke. I’m definitely excited to see what Gojo has to offer in Jujutsu Kaisen’s 11 remaining episodes.
Honorable mentions: -Syalis - Maoujou de Oyasumi -Swindler - Akudama Drive -Sonoka - Warlords of Sigrdrifa -Ramuda - Hypnosis Mic
Worst Character
Winner: Balgo - Burn the Witch
I HATE YOU. Not even gonna waste any more time on this one.
Honorable mentions: -Shimamura - Adachi and Shimamura
Best Scene
Winner: Brawler vs Executioner (Akudama Drive, episode 6)
HOW DO YOU CHOREOGRAPH A FIGHT THIS PERFECT? IN AN ANIME-ORIGINAL SERIES, NO LESS???
Everything about this fight is objectively perfect. The innovative uses of the setting, the incredible rain effects, the weight behind every punch, the emotional climax, every second, every blow, is just jaw-dropping perfection. The fact that there was no source material behind this scene to make it such a perfect sequence is baffling to me, and it was the scene that cemented Akudama Drive as something truly special to me.
Best Episode
Winner: A Deep Sorrow from the Past (Majo no Tabitabi)
Majo no Tabitabi has three episodes alone that were in contention for this award, but in the end, A Deep Sorrow from the Past hits harder than any other episode this season (figuratively not literally, read the paragraph above for the episode that literally hits hardest). For an episodic and often comedic show like Majo no Tabitabi to so perfectly present an emotional, legitimately horrifying story of betrayal, I was totally blindsided. There were many good episodes this season and I’m definitely gonna have a few honorable mentions here, but this still feels like an obvious award to give.
Honorable mentions: -”The Princess Without Subjects” - Majo no Tabitabi -”The Two Apprentices” - Majo no Tabitabi -”Tateyama Castle Swimsuit Skirmish!” - Warlords of Sigrdrifa -”BROTHER” - Akudama Drive -”Marriage” - Tonikaku Kawaii
Worst Episode
This award would be too easy to give to a show that I’ve dropped, so I’m going to set a rule right here and now, I can only give this award to a show I’ve watched all the way through.
Winner: The Day of Battling Tiles (The Day I Became a God)
Say what you will about The Day I Became a God, I definitely found it enjoyable for the most part and even found the ending to be rather satisfying. Episode 4, however, was definitely the biggest roadblock. Like most Jun Maeda shows, the comedy in the show’s opening half was rather stellar, but The Day of Battling Tiles didn’t make me laugh so much as scratch my head and wonder “What the hell were they thinking?” Like I don’t even hate Tengan but I just didn’t find the idea of a newswoman getting turned on by a minor because he made up some shit about mahjong that funny, and it isn’t even the moral aspect that bothers me so much as just how uncomfortable the whole thing feels as it drags on. Also I can’t decide if I’d like or dislike this episode more if I actually knew anything about Mahjong.
Anime of the Season
There were some phenomenal shows this season. Jujutsu Kaisen, Sigrdrifa, Hypnosis Mic, Moriarty and Tonikawa are all shows that are going to hold a place in my heart going forward, but you know damn well that there’s one that stands above the rest.
Winner: Akudama Drive
Akudama Drive is the best anime that I’ve actually watched on a weekly basis. I know I just talked shit about the OP but it’s literally the only thing I dislike about this show. Akudama Drive is the Suicide Squad premise done as right as possible, the cyberpunk aesthetic is incredible, the action is expertly choreographed with Brawler vs Executioner being the greatest fight I’ve seen in anime, the story is full of wild dystopian twists and turns while still making some sense in context, the characters are irredeemable as they should be, and the conclusion is satisfying to a degree that I did not anticipate. There’s seriously almost nothing to dislike here, and honestly I was ready to hand this award out by the end of episode 6. Thank you Studio Pierrot for this absolute gem of a show.

LGBTQ Game Review - Lingua Fleur: Lily
A significant part of my job is knowing the details of the goings-on in the world of yuri. It, therefore, shames me to admit that I almost missed out on the visual novel Lingua Fleur: Lily as I was completely unaware of it until Taiwanese studios Narrator and Storia, the game’s developers and publishers, messaged me. Thank the great goddess of yuri that they did, because I would have regretted missing this experience.
Tumblr media
Lingua Fleur: Lily is a short kinetic visual novel set in a university told from the perspective of student Yuyi, the protagonist. Yuyi is a quiet and introverted student, hardly interacting with her classmates and having no close friends. Her isolated circumstances change when she is paired with the outgoing Yile, the deuteragonist of the story, during physical education. Slowly Yile beings to befriend Yuyi, helping her to come out of her shell and be truthful about her identity and difficult past.
As previously stated, Yuyi is extremely reserved and often anxious. However, she is also quick to anger, often getting short during Yile’s antics. This can make her seems stern and unlikable at moments but overall she is very realistically written. As the story progresses these moments mostly fade out and she becomes more likable and friendly while maintaining to her quiet and anxious demeanor. Her narration is the most enjoyable part of her character, as it gives insight into her feelings and her discomfort with certain situations, helping her to feel human.
Tumblr media
In every way, Yile is the opposite of Yuyi. While the ladder is restrained and apprehensive, Yile has no such inhibitions. She is excitable and bubbly, often eagerly blurting out the first thought that comes into her mind without regard for how it makes others (specifically Yuyi) feel. This is never really treated for laughs, as this game is not in any way a comedy, but rather used to contrast Yuyi, helping develop her character by reflecting and responding to Yile’s actions. Unfortunately, most of the time Yile too easily falls into the stereotype of the naive and energetic girl.
There are however some lovely moments when Yile breaks out of this stereotype,  particularly when she or Yuyi is more emotionally vulnerable. For example, at the beginning of the game, Yuyi gets slightly during physical education and runs away. Yile chases after her to comfort and care for the reluctant Yuyi. It is a touching moment that really serves to establish the dynamics between the characters.
Tumblr media
The game is complete with full Chinese voice acting. Both lead actresses do a decent enough job, shining especially during the quieter and more somber moments (which are plentiful). The louder moments of joy or anger are a struggle for them, the actress behind Yuyi does not carry enough vocal power for the scenes in which she yells (usually at Yile) and Yile’s tends to ascend into a grating shriek. I will give credit to the game for voicing even minor character that speaks only a few lines as well as the girls though. Overall, the voice acting added more to the game than it detracted but there is definite room for improvement.
Lingua Fleur is not a story of romance or attraction but rather of self-growth and healing. For me, this is a welcome change. It is not a happy story nor an overly sad cry-fest, but rather a very grounded and bittersweet narrative. Yuyi struggles to admit her identity (as a lesbian) and the ways in which this affects here are clearly shown and communicated in all scenes effectively.
Tumblr media
The more emotional scenes are powerful and my favorite parts of the game. Thanks to not only a solid script but because they are so realistic and relatable. Yuyi’s struggles to articulate her identity to Yile will easily resonate with experiences of queer readers. I will not spoil the ending but it appropriately matches the somber tone of the story and is simultaneously hopeful and saddening.
I did have a few issues with the game. Some of these complaints are small, a few typos, a few places where the word choice could have been a bit better (is my English teacher side showing?). I also found what I can only assume to have been a mistake due to negligence where name cards such as “female student” and “male student” were still written in Chinese rather than being translated like the others. Additionally, while the English translation is mostly excellent there were a few terms that did not work as a direct translation into the language, such as “Sis Tutor.”
Tumblr media
This character, Sis Tutor, is actually part of my biggest complaint. She and Yuyi share a difficult past together which is hinted at but not explicitly stated and explained until the final act of the game. This trope would be fine if it was not for the fact the story is told through Yuyi’s perspective and we hear her thoughts! This made the hints about her past unbearable and annoying. When you show the thoughts of the character with a hidden pass it does not work! It breaks immersion, as one can clearly see the writers’ attempt to contort the narrative of human thoughts as they clumsily build suspense to the big reveal. And it is a good (if obvious) reveal too, giving context to the actions of Yuyi, there is no need for it to be so hamfistedly teased.
Lingua Fleur: Lily’s CG artwork has a nice soft pastel look to it, with a serene hand-drawn quality to them. The artist was easily able to transfer the personality of the characters and the emotion of the script into the CG artwork, making them add to the experience. There is even one simple but stylistic animation. However, the CGs are inconsistent, with some being of clearly higher quality than others. Additionally, some of the choices for the CGs placement are questionable. Parts of the story were crying out for a nice piece of accompanying art but resources were put into other scenes which frankly did not need them.
Tumblr media
The character sprite’s share soft design of the CGs but often, unfortunately, have an unpolished look to them. They also clash horribly against some of the backgrounds, leading to a clear cutout effect that regularly took me out of the experience. Their design, however, is quite nice, especially Yile, who is downright adorable. There is also some great employment of lateral movement and strategic zooming on characters, some of the best I have ever seen, and certainly, the most fluid, helping to illustrate the story.
The soundtrack of Lingua Fleur proves that a score does not have to be bombastic and overly complex to be successful. Indeed, the music was one of the highlights of my experience. Oli Jan and Sorane created twelve original tracks for the visual novel each of which I adored as I played through. Often they employ just a simple melody and maybe a few delicate strings or woodwinds, creating an excellent somber and soft backdrop that perfectly complimented the game. I was greatly enjoying it right up until the finale when I fell in love.
During the game’s climax the track ‘La Robe’ plays and MY GOD!! I was struck dumb by how perfect the track was, I was at a loss for words (a rare occurrence I can assure you). It keeps the same simple style as the rest of the soundtrack but was just… stupendous. The song is triumphant, delicate, intricate, and hopeful. The victorious crescendo reached its peak at the perfect point in the story I swear I applauded. I could easily extend this review another few paragraphs filled with nothing but adjectives about this song. If you do not get the game for the love of all things gay in this world at least give the soundtrack a listen! It is a whirlwind of emotions that perfectly encapsulates the relief and sorrow felt by Yuyi in the bittersweet conclusion. It is a special thing for a piece to convey so much.
Tumblr media
Lingua Fleur: Lily is an imperfect but meaningful journey. It does not conform to the genre standers of destined lovers and soulmates but is rather a gentle and ordinary story of healing, grief, and friendship. While it lacks artistic polish and jaw-dropping prose the emotion and humanism of the game reverberate within me. Lingua Fleur is a lovely, simple, and bittersweet experience.
I also appreciate that Narrator and Storia have promised new content for the game in the form of DLC. Lingua Fleur: Lily is available now on Steam in English and Chinese.
