Colours like gold ,mustard , yellow , red , saffron , orange are beneficial. For harnessing joy lighter shades of yellow are effective, for sultry powerful presence , deeper shades of yellow , orange , Reds or a mixture of them is well used . Use of highlighters , bronzers , sunset range eye shadows help in harnessing the energy. Fake tanning is not for sun harnessing like a tan is legit the body cells fighting the sun , you want the energy you don't want to burn yourself. Instead , good skin and glow is what best attracts the energy in your life . Honey coloured hair ,caramel coloured hair , brown coloured hair attracts this energy. Workin on your solar plexus , symbols and tattoos of the chakra symbol . Over dressed is never sun , be comfortable and beautiful, soft fabrics are best preferred, breathable fabrics , something that doesn't suffocate you works best .

Moon

What is the energy of the moon , what is it used for ?

The energy of the moon is mysterious, sultry , seductive , intuitive, hidden , of brightenes in the darkest times of femininity in the essence .

It can be used for times when you want to disconnect from everyone and just live a peaceful life . For helping you solve something that has been bothering you . For seduction and manipulation . Letting out your emotions , dealing with them . For healing and occult practices .

What to wear :

Anything related to pearls , silk , satin in hues of white silver grey work best , stones like moon stone when carved and used as a pendent . Silver coloured makeup , the metal of silver is known as chandi which correlates to Chand (moon) . Drinking moon water in a silver cup is also very beneficial for harnessing the energy. Using tops with pants , black blazers , tuxedo , red long dresses , alternatively any costume to show dominance can be used to harness the mars energy. The energy of Venus is quite the energy of passion not of burning passion like mars but of seductive passion , silent wanting craving , desire, intention, of luxury , of easy paths , of getting things you desire without working too much for it , of sweetness, of youth .

This energy is used for getting things your way , attracting people, positivity, self esteem , manifestation, for initial impressions (like interviews , depending on the setting and industry ) . For youth beauty and rejuvenation .

What to wear :

Crimson, pinks , peach colour , red , white , pastels etc. Platinum metal , brass, copper occasionally for jewellery. Ribbons, laces , net , satin , pearls, chains , body jewellery. Soft sultry flowey materials that symbolise the feminine energy of the planet. Revealing clothing, staying naked for a while connects you to the energy of the planet as Venus is comfortable in her own skin by that you can choose to be comfortable in your own skin in accordance to the situations. Baby Astro observation

Okay, this is my first time... However, I want to do things that make my soul feel good and this is what does that.

In my observations- Aries AFABs and AMABs are so different. The energies, the way they carry themselves, the overall vibes- like night and day. The AFABs are more mellow, snarky, and laid back. The AMABs, however- easier to approach, big smiles, lots of enthusiasm (that is overwhelming sometimes), and a very go getter vibe. The AFABs have more of a temper too, I have found the AMABs remind me of gentle giants. Also, AFABs are tall/average height, the AMABs taller than average. AMABs have a more athletic build, AFABs, are more curvy with a more medium/large bone structure.

Virgos are my loves forever. They are so sweet and helpful, very hardworking and easy to gel and get along with. They tend to be more unassuming in vibe, but still really outspoken when need to be- not easy to get angry but once you do they verbally whoop ass (oh my gloss, their attitudes are to DIE for) .

Capricorns look GOOD. Bro, I am a lesbian and I can easily say the men/AMABs are handsome. These people are very hard working (more than any sign I have seen). They take their money seriously, and are willing to do the dirty work if they need to. I work with a lot of Capricorns, and they know a lot of tea and will talk shit easily. Also, a larger crowd as well. Tall, larger bone structure. Kind of built like bears. Really sweet, though and laid back. But, you need to be cool and respectful to them, otherwise they will fight you. Also, I don't really see them as that obsessed with image, personally I feel like they are just vibing and doing what they want to do, which means that if someone looks at them sideways and shit, a decent few are willing to whoop some ass. Not a placement you'd want to mess with- ever.

2023-2024 Zodiacal Calendar

Just spending my Friday night spending multiple hours creating a Google Sheet calendar for the 2023-2024 Zodiacal Year with the months aligned to the signs. They’re also noted as to what Gregorian dates they match up with as well.

Sidereal Cancers are draining, self-centered, pompous sometimes, straightforward, expressive and very intelligent.

Tropical Cancers are observant, cynical, logical, super smart and are generally quietly angry/sad. Has allergies towards superficiality.

Moon sextile Mercury [[Exact at 3:38 AM PST]]

Sextiles are subtle positive energies that can lend support and open up opportunities. The planets in a sextile are slightly less friendly with each other than if they were in a trine (planets in a trine are pretty much besties), but they get along well regardless. With moon sextile Mercury we can feel intellectually charged and ready to open up to new inspirations.  Mercury is our thoughts and the way we intake information, which means that in connection to the moon we may feel pretty positive about specific ideas and the news of events as they unfold. Mercury also represents communication, and we may feel charged and ready to talk, as well as enjoy the process of telling stories. We may be a little extra to listen and just generally feel capable of figuring out whatever it is we need to on Monday. 

Moon sextile Jupiter [[Exact at 3:56 AM PST]]

The moon in a harmonious aspect with Jupiter generally assists with positivity in mood and level of comfort. Jupiter is the planet of big ideas, and with the moon also being in a sextile with Mercury on Monday we can feel a sense of importance philosophically. More in-depth subjects may feel somewhat easier to grasp under this aspect, and there is good faith permeating the atmosphere. With the moon being in Gemini there is a big boost when it comes to communicating, and since we’re looking at Jupiter it can be seen that we may feel inspired to communicate big ideas. Socializing can also receive a boost from this aspect, since Mercury and Gemini are both very sociable and focusing on the connectivity between people as well as things. 

Jupiter enters Virgo degree (degree 18)

This is an interesting added layer of Mercurial energy. We have the moon in Gemini (a Mercury ruled sign) sextiling Mercury, plus the moon in Gemini sextiling Jupiter which just entered the Virgo degree, while Virgo is ruled by.....Mercury! While Jupiter is in the Virgo degree it could bring us positivity surrounding our health (potentially mental health and otherwise) and help us feel good about routine matters, as well as matters surrounding responsibility and obligation. On the other hand it could expand our connection to work and learning, whether an increased presence of these things be pleasant or unpleasant in the long run. Overall Monday looks to be positively focused, mentally.  

Moon square Neptune [[Exact at around 6:37 pm PST]]

Neptune comes in to bring us dreamy distractions at the end of the day on Monday. A day that possibly starts out with clear focus and mental productivity winds down into wishfulness and a tired mind. Neptune’s energy is very hazy and sleepy, as it rules unconsciousness. We may find it harder to focus as tomorrow fades into the evening hours. The moon in Gemini loses its clarity of focus when in a difficult Neptune aspect. This is an aspect that also describes getting lost in emotion and visions of things that aren’t tightly tied to reality.

Astrology is a lot you guys. I'm fascinated by it, but I'm confused.

My Sun Sign is Leo, but Libra is my Ascendant and Libra is ruled by Venus- but Venus is in my 11th house and Mars is in my first house and I am very confused on what that means. I read that Libra Risings are ruled by the planet Venus, so Venus transits affect me more so than other planet transits (even though my Sun Sign is Leo)- but Venus is not in my first house. Mars is in my first house and Venus is in my 11th house. What does that mean???

Like, in my opinion, based on what I've learned overall, I'm ruled by Libra therefore I'm ruled by Venus (even though it is not in my first house). I guess my big question is how does Mars play into that because Mars is in my first house.

I've been reading a little about vedic astrology (that uses the sidereal system) in the past years, and initially, yeah, it's kind of disorienting when signs are really different (I'm a pisces sun in sidereal too lol) but honestly the answer it's in the nakshatras, their myths, the padas and nakshatra ruler. That's the key to understand the difference and I can observe many similarities between my T and S chart when they are added into equation. I still prefer traditional/hellenistic astro bc I'm more familiar with it and I consider it more clear and straightforward, since vedic has a heavy religious and spiritual bend and talks a lot about karma and past lives, and I also disagree in the sign = house method that is used in vedic too. But anyway, It's still very interesting to learn and I feel like at the end, both methods, vedic and hellenistic, will lead to the same delineations/predictions if the person has good grasp on them.

I see, but I think we're always making the mistake of making vedic astrology sound like it's one cohesive thing.

Vedic is not one thing and also not necessarily sidereal. Vedic astrology is hugely vast, let's remind that astrology is a huge thing in India and there's even a lot more diversity than the branches of "western" astrology. There's an epistemological difference in the kinds of astrology that use the sidereal zodiac and the ones that use the tropical zodiac, and that diversion is also found within the many vedic traditions. If you use one, you're taking into account the significance and importance of the constellations, whilst using the other you're caring about the symbolism inherent in the times of year and areas of the sky in relation to our observation.* The most popular vedic traditions we see today use the sidereal zodiac, and I don't intend to explain why, firstly because I don't believe history has a cohesive and linear narrative with a logic of cause and effect, especially in cases like the history of a form of knowledge, and second, because I don't know much about vedic traditions or Indian culture. However, I can't help but wonder if it's just a coincidence that the sidereal zodiac has become popular in India after western intrusion and then english colonization, and that the western scientific community has always tried to use the precession of the equinoxes as an argument to invalidate astrology. Still, even if that has nothing to do how things went, in anyway I think it's important to wonder about the effects of colonization in vedic astrology, and today as the sidereal zodiac gets even more popular, I see as a common thing people refering to it as the "better" and more accurate model because, in the western, modern and cartesian mind, it is more rational, even more "scientific" (as if that can be said about astrology). But the difference in these methods isn't about different religious philosophies.

I also feel like the nakshatras and their deities are the best part about vedic astrology. Not really the rulers, because I think they're assigned to each nakshatra in a weird way for me.

*For those who don't know about the precession of the equinoxes: when we say the Sun is in Aries, in our kind of astrology, that doesn't mean that the Sun is aligned with the constellation of Aries, because we're actually refering to the Sun starting to make a shift and changing the duration of the days and nights, which happens in the spring equinox in the northern hemisphere as the days getting longer (and in the autumn equinox in the southern hemisphere as the days getting shorter). The precession means that now the spring in the northern hemisphere starts when the Sun is aligned with constellation of Pisces, instead of Aries. That's why we're in the so-called "age of pisces", going intto the "age of aquarius". When we use the sidereal zodiac we're seeing mostly the constellations sort of aligned with the planets and placements, even though each constellation is very different in size and sometimes things get confusing.

The appeal of the Tropical Zodiac to ancient astrologers was twofold: its orderliness and regularity, and its orientation to the seasons. The first orderly characteristic of the Tropical Zodiac is that it is composed of 12 equal signs. The medival Italian astrologer Guido Bonatti says:

You know if you had absolutely no self-preservation you could scroll down far enough to see the last astrology post I made. It was small and I can't even remember what it was about.

With that said-

The intersection of astrology and astronomy is fascinating, no? Like - obvs astrology is, in some form I feel, a love language of astronomy. Of course others with cry it is a defamation of science which- bro tis simply a belief chill.

But with how much thought and consideration was put especially into ancient forms of astrology (ESPECIALLY vedic texts!) I truly appreciate the systems they've grown into today.

But like. God I'm scared of making the more involved astrology people mad but djsnsk. There are huge differences between the dates of the actual planets and suns ecliptic thru the signs compared to both sidereal and tropical branches.

And we all know about the Ophiuchus stuff lmao.

But like...bro.

I am genuinely really nervous about this seeming disrespectful. Not my intent but like. The dates are so far off. Virgo is like- 45/46 days LONG. Did you know the suns ecliptic doesn't even 'touch' the actual constellation pattern of aries while touching every other sign (including Ophiuchus!) And like. Midway through Pisces (which lasts around 36/37 days) it grazes the boundary of a constellation called Cetus??? The sun does go through Aries constellation boundary but like

For such a small constellation that sure is a big boundary. Got damn.

And like. I want to clarify this is not inherently a call to include Ophiuchus or me trying to push that yall gotta follow the actual night sky. But it's really interesting and I'm tempted to try and start practicing a form of astrology that like...bases it around the actual, actual dates. Sidereal but Even More. Galactic Sidereal I think it's called.

Now ofc that does mean like- "what thw fuck about ophiuchus" and I'm torn between an interest in it vs a general sort of - like - it is even, the elements, the modes of the zodiac, the pattern. So adding Ophichus would throw a wrench in there.

But on the other hand, isn't going by the actual dates already mucking up the pristine pattern of it? Admitting that maybe it's not as easy as you would think? I dunno.

If I don't end up including Ophiuchus I'd probably label it as a notable subset of Scorpio.

And yes a lot of people would become Virgo lmao. In galactic sidereal IM a Virgo Sun, moon, and mercury.

First house/Aries

The 1st and 7th House in Astrology I found can give an idea of where you and your long-term partner like to touch each other!

The sign the 1st House is in is like the areas where you enjoy being touched, admired or if you'd like reassurance that the other partner loves you. It can also be the area your partner touches you to reassure you or where you touch your partner when you want reassurance.

The sign the 7th House is in is the areas where your partner may enjoy being touched, admired or if they want reassurance! (or ways you show your partner that you love them!) They may touch you in this area if they want to be reassured/admired.

Typically this may be unconscious too, like you might feel drawn to touch this specific area of them or just be around it vice versa.

This can also be amplified by different Planets too!

(Having a Moon in the 1st House for example can mean that it is also something you find enjoyment in being touched rather than just being reassured. it's something which brings you happiness and a deep sense of comfort (or might set the mood lol to start off with)

Having Pluto or Mars in the 7th House can mean that the touch is exciting for your partner, especially during sex and may touch you there to show that you're "theirs" or some other possessive quality, or maybe that's where they enjoy being touched to prove they're being admired and you want them.)

Me and my Boyfriend for example:

I have my 1st House in Libra - I find a lot of reassurance when I'm by his lower back, I notice I tend to place my hand there! But I also like when he has his hand on my lower back or when our lower backs are touching as that's reassuring for me too! Skin-to-Skin contact is also a MUST!!

My 7th House is in Aries - I like to touch his face, his head, his hair and look at his eyes... I like a lot of eye contact (or I shy away from it)! Not only that, but he also has very attractive eyes too and has a lot of facial hair so I enjoy touching that too. It's my way of trying to reassure him that I love him and find him attractive.
