Rae rae my lovely moot rae! I'd like to continue the toshi vs cat hcs that were sent in last week! so after that initial meeting between toshi and your cat toshi takes it upon himself to learn more about cats since he's never really been around them in general. the next time he comes to your place he's fully prepared to face your cat again, and slowly over time the two of them become best friends (making you a little jealous) where your cat even naps with toshi on his stomach! just cute little thoughts about toshi with a cat make me giggle hehe I hope you like it! <3
LMAO LMAO LMAOOOOOO OKAY LISTEN FJSJJFKSJFJE
Wakatoshi has made it his life goal now to be your cat's best friend.
Volleyball best friend?? Teammates best friend?? Tendou best friend??
No, now it is cat. Only cat exists to him.
He goes to his local bookstore and he buys like every book he sees that says something about cat ownership, and when he gets to the front of the line, the shop owner is like "Oh! Did you get a cat?" trying to make conversation.
AND TOSHI IS JUST LIKE, HE'S GOT HIS DEFAULT FACE
"😐 no"
AND THAT'S ALL HE SAYS!!
shop owner is just trying to finish the transaction quickly bc they're scared now JAKJFWKJFKAFJE
ANYWAYS OKAY LETS SEE, USHIJIMA AND CAT, LETS GO
more thoughts under the cut (gender neutral reader)
Normally you wouldn't let a whole ass stranger house-sit for you, but also Wakatoshi has proven himself to not be a whole ass stranger over these last few months of dating.
He's still absolutely terrified of your cat though, so most of your dates together are either spent at his home or he takes you out somewhere.
But what you don't know is the man has never had any experience with cats in his whole life. Besides the ones that he sees sometimes when he's out jogging, man has had no contact with cats ever.
And even though he's terrified of yours, he wants to form a bond with it. Because he knows your cat means the world to you, and you mean the world to Wakatoshi, so man is gonna befriend this cat or die trying.
So when you just sort of casually mention that you're going away for a weekend soon because of a work obligation and you pout that you can't really find a friend to babysit your house and your cat, Wakatoshi tells you he wants to.
And like I said, normally you wouldn't let a whole ass stranger house-sit for you.
But this is also gentle giant good boy Wakatoshi we're talking about here.
So when the weekend comes, before you take off, you're explaining your cat's feeding schedule and where he usually likes to hide if you can't find him and this and that.
Wakatoshi is trying to pay attention to what you're saying, but your cat is sitting on the kitchen counter, his tail all whippy and he's staring at Wakatoshi maybe about a foot and a half away.
Wakatoshi is very thankful you printed out everything you're currently telling him.
Anyways, after a good-bye kiss and a tight hug and a "call me when you land", Wakatoshi shuts the door and he jumps when he turns around and your cat is sitting a few feet away from him on the floor.
Wakatoshi seriously starts thinking that he's made a mistake offering to house-sit for you.
He carefully walks towards the cat, hugging the wall as he inches past it.
It's quite comical, really - a large and beefy 192 cm man flattening himself against the wall in order to not have to deal with a harmless little animal that weighs no more than 10 pounds.
Wakatoshi thinks he's in the clear when he's in the kitchen, but surprise!
Cat's on the counter now!
Wakatoshi tries to shake off the cat's intense gaze as he gathers things to make a sandwich for himself because he's a little hungry now.
"Sh- Shoo..." Wakatoshi says, his large hand gently whoosing through the air for the cat to understand after he lays everything out on the counter.
Cat doesn't move.
Cat's still staring at him.
"......Get down?" Wakatoshi tries.
Still nothing.
Wakatoshi sighs and goes about making his sandwich.
He's about halfway done when he hears the smallest trill after he opens the package of ham.
When he looks up, the cat's eyes are laser-focused on the deli meat that he pulls from the package.
Wakatoshi tests it out, slowly moving the ham slice back and forth in front of the cat, and the cat's eyes get even bigger.
He remembers reading something in his books about how feeding time with a cat helps the bond with them.
He's careful as he pulls apart the ham - a piece no bigger than his thumbnail is held out as a peace offering.
Wakatoshi holds his breath as the cat comes closer, sniffing at the deli meat before he snatches it up.
Wakatoshi swears the cat doesn't even chew it - it's just gone in one go.
But the ham is enough though.
For today.
When you facetime Wakatoshi after you land, he very proudly shows you that your cat is now in his lap and is purring away.

yellow: name of an artist you think is underappreciated
i named turisas and finntroll in the previous ask, but i'm gonna say people don't talk about devin townsend as much as he deserves. hell i don't talk about devin townsend as much as he deserves... he's very successful and acclaimed (so not underappreciated lol sorry for not answering your question) but it frustrates me that the people who would love his music simply never discover him for some reason
not an artist but every day i cry because people don't talk enough about brendon small's first galaktikon record either
blue: preferred type of weather?

Your Lois Lane’s son and you become a Star Sapphire because you have crush on Kyle Rayner…
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kyle Rayner x Male Reader
Warnings: None
Summary: You have a crush on your bff Kyle, so the Star Sapphires decide to weaponize it to help get rid off their enemies.
(A/N 1: I’m gonna slightly base this of Superman the animated series, because then Kyle works at the daily planet and that makes everything easier for me.)
(A/N 2: Star Sapphire/Carol Ferris is also one of my underrated faves.)
——
You opened your eyes that morning expecting to follow your usual daily routine, eat breakfast, go to work, work, eat lunch, get back to work, go home, have dinner with the family and go to bed.
But little did you know that all that would be thrown out the window after the first step.
You went into the kitchen where your mother was cooking breakfast and she handed you a plate off eggs, toast and bacon. You thanked her and walked towards the table where your step-father Clark and your little brother Jon were sitting and eating.
You ruffled Jon’s hair as you walked past him and sat down next to him. You saw that he was eating his food as if he were wild animal. ”Jon, calm down you’re not a savage” you commented and Jon calmed his eating a little bit.
After you finished your breakfast you went into your room to get dressed for work. While you were there your mother, Clark and Jon left, since they needed to drive Jon to school before they went to work.
When you left your room you saw that your mom and Clark had forgotten their bagged lunch so you picked them up and decided to stop at the daily planet on your way to work.
You left the apartment building and got in to your car and started your drive towards the daily planet.
You stopped outside the tall building, got out of your car and walked inside. You found an elevator and stepped inside and you pushed the button that would take you to your mother’s floor.
But you heard someone yelling ”Hold the elevator”, so you pushed the button to open the door again and then Kyle Rayner aka your bff aka the man you were head over heels in love with, came running so fast that he hit the elevator wall.
”What did i tell you about running in to walls, Kyle?” You asked cheekily.
”Don’t do it” he answered while holding his forehead.
”But did you listen to me? No” you said.
”Whatever… By the way are you going to Jane’s party with anyone?” He asked.
”No, not really, are you?” You asked in return.
”Yeah, i’m going with you” Kyle joked making you roll your eyes. ”Who knows the night might end in some pAssIOnaTE making out?” Kyle continued.
He didn’t know but his joke made you die a little inside, since you wanted it to actually be like that, but you knew that Kyle wasn’t in to you romantically.
The elevator door then opened at your mother’s floor and you exited the elevator and said a quick goodby to Kyle as the doors once again closed.
You found your mother’s desk and gave her her’s and Clark’s lunch, she thanked you and you left once again.
While you were riding the elevator down but your mind couldn’t help but wander to thinking about Kyle, he was so kind and creative, he makes you feel safe and happy.
All of a sudden the elevator came to a halt and the lights shut down.
”Great, now i’m stuck in an elevator AND hopelessly in love with my best friend, just my luck” you thought to yourself, you were about to pick up your phone and call your boss to tell her you would probably be late.
But all of a sudden there was a glowing light in front of you, you covered your eyes from the sudden strong glow.
Then you looked at the source and saw a glowing violet six pointed star. All of a sudden a voice spoke up from no where.
”We know what you want Y/n Lane, you want the one you love and we the Star Sapphires can give you the power to take that love” a hypnotic voice said, from what Clark had taught you, you know you shouldn’t trust things like this.
Then all of a sudden a ring floated out from inside the six pointed star. ”All you have to do is do something for us, destroy the Green Lantern” the hypnotic voice said adding a bit more psychopath vibes.
You tried to back away from the ring but it was like you weren’t in control of your own body cause all off a sudden you arm started reaching out towards it.
The ring then floated on to your finger and the voice said ”Now repeat after me”. It started by saying one sentence and as if the words were being dragged out of your throat you said along with it ”For hearts long lost and full of fright, for those alone in blackest night, accept our ring and join our fight, love conquers all with violet light!”
Then all of a sudden you had no control at all and a violet light spread over your body.
Kyle was sitting and having a cup of coffee, he couldn’t get you out of his head, he hadn’t really been joking when he said he was taking you as his date for the party. He actually really wanted to ask you out but if you said no he didn’t want it to be weird between you, so he asked it in more of a joking manner to make it more lighthearted.
He was about to go and get back to work but then he heard chattering from the others, they were staring at something down on the street.
He went over to the window and saw a violet lantern down on the street which could only mean trouble, Kyle ran to find somewhere to change in to the Green Lantern.
Meanwhile you were down on the street causing mayhem. The ring had basically taken full control of your body and was now throwing one of the parked cars towards the people on the sidewalk who were trying to run away from you.
The people managed to get away but you were fine with that, you were trying to bait out the Green Lantern.
Then you heard a familiar whoosing sound and you turned around. Clark was flying towards you all suited up. He was inches away from punching you in the face but when he saw you he had a moment of realization and stopped himself.
”Y/n?” he asked confused and before he could do anything else you used the ring to trap him inside a giant violet crystal. You then continued your rampage.
Kyle now stood on top of the daily planet and watched the star sapphire blast a violet beam towards a car. He then flew down to get a closer look off his opponent.
Kyle then realised who the Star Sapphire was, ”Y/n” he asked himself, he was shocked at seeing you like this, not only because you were a destructive crazy person but also because the suit you were wearing made you look really fucking hot.
You picked up a car with people inside it and threw it out over the street but before it touched the ground it was caught by a green light.
Green Lantern had caught the car and put it down. As soon as you saw the man clad in green the ring told you to do one thing ”Kill him”.
You aimed your ring towards him and shot a violet beam towards him. He created a green bubble around himself that protected him.
Your battle continued to rage on, but it was noticable that Kyle was holding back slightly trying to avoid harming you. He was trying to think of a plan, he was also generally confused about the fact that you had turned into Star Sapphire.
After all the emotion of the violet lanterns were love, so maybe he had something to do with this. Well there was only one way to find out and it was the only plan he had.
He flew towards you dodging your different attacks and when he got to you he grabbed you around the waist and pushed his lips against yours.
He was glad that you didn’t pull back because that meant his plan worked. His hand slid down to your ringed finger and pulled the ring off.
Your suit the disappeared and it was replaced with your normal clothing. You then passed out.
Kyle kept a hold of you and brought you down to a rooftop. He then used his ring to free Superman from the violet crystal.
He walked back to you as you were starting to wake up. You looked at the Green Lantern and realised you were outside and on a rooftop.
”Green Lantern?” you asked ”Where am i? What happened?” you continued and Kyle made an impulsive decision. He made his super-suit disappeared and revealed his identity to you. After your initial shock about his identity he told you about what had happened and ensured you everyone were fine. Kyle then made another impulsive decision…
”Y/n, would you like to go on a date with me?”
”Of course” you answered happily.
Instead of your date being at the party you were suppose to go to you and Kyle decided to have a relaxing night at your place.
Clark had taken Lois and Jon out to some resturant so that you and Kyle could get some privacy.
You and Kyle were cuddling on the couch while watching the news about Green Lantern stopping a villain by kissing him.

Heaven Is a Place on Earth
for @hartigays for harringrove for BLM, who asked for Billy teaching Steve to surf in California! I hope you enjoy!
~*~
“Why is it so big though?” Steve ran his hand over the width of the surfboard Billy had procured for him.
Billy wagged his tongue and grinned. “Bigger the dick, bigger the board, baby.”
Steve crossed his arms and fixed Billy with a glare.
“More surface area for you. You’re a beginner -- you need more room,” Billy explained.
“And this? What the fuck is this?” Steve lifted the cuff that was attached to the board by a cord.
“Always wanted to tie you up.”
“Really? Are we gonna do this for every goddamn thing?”
Billy licked his lips. “It’s a leash. You wrap it around your ankle to stay safe when you wipe out. Because trust me -- you will wipe out.”
Steve felt a bit of panic rise up in his belly. “I will?”
“Yeah. But you’ll be fine. I’ll be right here by your side every second, alright?” Billy placed his hand on Steve’s shoulder and squeezed. “And if you wipe out, this’ll help keep you attached to your board so you can find it to hang onto it. Could end up saving your life if the waves are rough.”
Steve nodded.
He wasn’t expecting the next part to consist of 15 minutes of warm-up stretches. The whole morning, he’d thought, would be just taking a couple of boards out into the water and learning on the fly. He’d watch Billy, imitate the movements, and that would be that -- Steve would be surfing.
But it turned out that Billy was actually careful and thorough, going step by step, explaining each step with the occasional dick joke thrown in there. He helped Steve stretch, his hands occasionally lingering on Steve’s suit not long enough to be lewd, but lingering enough to convey affection.
After doing a couple sets of torso twists, Steve felt limber from head to toe. The waves whoosed against the shore, and surfer after surfer sprinted out to meet the water. “Time to hit the water?” Steve asked.
“Patience, pretty boy,” Billy said. “Gotta show you the prone position.”
“Sweetheart, we’re in public,” Steve said quietly.
Billy smiled. “On your board. Like this.” Billy got down on his board chest-down, feet almost at the bottom of the board. “You lay too close to the tail, it’s gonna tip. Lay too close to the nose? Same thing.”
Steve mimicked Billy’s pose and found himself distracted by thoughts of how he’d never really seen Billy in this light before -- how patient he was showing Steve how to pop up on his surfboard, how he gently corrected Steve and helped him find the right balance and form.
“Now are we going in?” Steve asked after he felt confident that he’d be able to get on his feet on his board in the water.
“Not yet, padawan,” Billy said. He’d spent too much time watching Star Wars with Dustin back in Hawkins before Steve and Billy made the move to San Diego. “Take a minute to watch the water. Get a feel for the waves, y’know? See how they break. Watch what the other surfers are doing. It’s like, I don’t know, taking a moment to feel the rhythm of everything before you go jumping in. Not to sound cliche, but like, you kind of have to become one with it.”
They’d both been sitting in the sand, so Steve scooted closer to Billy’s side. Billy threw his arm around Steve’s shoulders as they looked out ahead of them. Steve watched the foam of the waves breaking -- saw surfers crouched, cruising along the waves in the distance. The sun had risen up even more from the horizon since they arrived at the beach, reflecting in moving patterns of yellow in the blue water below.
Seagulls called in the distance, and families chattered around them.
“I’m glad I came out here,” Steve said.
“Yeah. It’s a nice day,” Billy said, his eyes fixed on the waves.
“No. I mean, glad that I moved here. With you.”
Billy turned to look at Steve, his eyes shining bright and blue. He leaned over for a lingering kiss. “Let’s go in the water.”

How's your V's relationship with Johnny?
Good but complicated, of course it was bad at the beginning but vince never really fought back from johnny, always did johnny wanted to make him more comfy or happy. (ended up taking smoking as a habit) Vince always said there gonna figure things out together and johnny agreed. Eventually johnny developed feelings it was hard to tell whose feelings was whoose until vince started getting close to takemura or kerry, johnny was always jealous incredibly protective Vince could feel the jealousy. game spoilers ahead In the end johnny gave up the body for vince, vince didnt want to loose johnny they shared there last words together, johnny gives him a kiss on the cheek saying its for his own closure and they separate. Vince has a lot to deal with when he wakes from his coma the loss of johnny and takemura were hard on him but at least he has kerry now depending on au, lets say johnny gets his body it was on ice or something probably end up a poly relationship between him kerry and vince.

Standing strong like a tree, in this realm I am as old as an aging dinasaur. I have wanted to escape, but the trees whisper I belong here. They say that the beginning of the end is here. I am but a rebel and I do nothing but digress. Playing by the books, I rebel. Tinkering with the only magic I know. Magic that even the elder could say. So all my best is dressing old words new, Spending again what is already spent. Just like the young, I've started clean, but time and experience have taken its toll. Gone were my innocent ways and in place were spells that roll in the hay. Spells that have gone visual once or twice just to quench my own thirst for it, when I am nothing but a hare in heat. I've had lot's of play things in this realm but now I am stuck with a boar. He is a handsome entertainment to mock. But it is mostly because the realm leaves me with him as my only choice. With every show that we play together, the trees cry for the sorrow I'll leave him with. Oh how I wish to tell my handsome little boar, "Oh my petty little entertainment, you need a love that’s gonna last. I cannot love you to the moon and back because my what my heart wants? Mayhaps left me for a different realm. The realm of real reels But I am still hoping for his return. Because I believe that we are the perfect two. The only picture perfect in this realm I am stuck in.
But here I am, standing strong like a tree in this realm I am as old as an aging dinasaur. And everytime the moon appears, I am reminded that the only constant is change. A change that I always pass by and ignore. I've lost count of time. So I start once again. The only indication of time passing is the silent whoosing of the falls far up ahead.

Chapter 3 - (Y/n), Julie, and the Phantoms
Tumblr media
3rd Person POV
(Y/n)'s head whips around as she catches sight of Julie, who's holding a cross up in front of her face.
"Are you still here?" Julie asks and (Y/n) darts over to stand at her friend's side. "Whatever you are?" Julie sighs after a moment, lowering the cross. "I know I saw something. I'm not crazy."
There's a whoosing noise and a the two girls whip around again. "Well, we're all a little crazy," the guy in the middle says.
Julie screams again and (Y/n) claps her hands over her ears again.
"Oh my God!" the guy in pink exclaims, putting a hand to his ear.
"Please stop screaming!" (Y/n) agrees.
Julie stops and relieved expression slides itself onto (Y/n)'s face.
"Who are you? What are you doing in my mom's studio?" Julie asks.
"Your mom's studio? This is our studio. Trust me, my . . . " The middle guy says and Julie hold the cross up as he comes nearer and he slides across the grand piano. "The grand piano is new, and . . . and . . . and . . . My couch!" the guy jumps onto the couch, sighing happily.
(Y/n)'s eyebrows, by this point, had almost disappeared into her hair.
"That's definitely not my six-string," The guy on the couch says sitting up.
"Yeah, that's because it's mine," (Y/n) says, stepping forward to set her drumsticks on the piano.
"Can you give me just one second?" the guy asks, climbing off the couch to stand on the table. Julie raises the cross again. "Just . . . give me a second. Thank you."
The three have a hushed conversation about ghosts and or witches when the guy in pink steps forward. "Why are you in our studio?" he asks.
Julie throws her fist at the guy and it goes straight through him.
"Huh?" (Y/n) asks, her head tilting to one side.
"Oh my gosh! How did you do that?" Julie asks and (Y/n) nods, her (E/c) eyes wide.
"Clearly, you're not understanding . . . They don't get it," the guy in pink turn to look at his friends. "Okay, look. We're ghosts, all right? We're just three ghosts, and we're really happy to be home. So thank you for the flowers. They really brighten up the room."
"We're in a band called Sunset Curve," the guy who had been looking at (Y/n)'s bass says.
"Tell your friends," the dark brown haired guy says and (Y/n)'s eyes flash with amusement.
"Last night was supposed to be a really big night for us. It was gonna change our lives."
"I'm uh . . ." the pink guy says. "I'm pretty sure it did."
"This is freaking me out," Julie says, breathing sharply and pulling out her phone.
"What is that? What are you doing?" The guy on the right says.
"It's my phone," Julie says matter-of-factly. "No! Stop talking to them. They aren't real. There's no such things as cute ghosts."
"Oh, think we're cute?" the dark brown haired guy says.
"Oh, not me," (Y/n) says with a shake of her head. "I play for the other team. If you know what I mean?"
The dude in pink nods in understanding as Julie looks sharply at the dark brown haired guy.
"Who you callin'?" the guy in pink asks.
"I'm Googling Sunset Swerve," Julie tell him.
"Sunset Curve!" all three guys say in unison.
"Whoa." Julie says, pulling up an article on her phone and (Y/n) looks at it over her shoulder.
"There is a Sunset Curve," (Y/n) says, looking back up at the three.
"You did die," Julie adds, "twenty-five years ago."
"What? No. No, no, no," the dark brown haired guy says. "Th-that's impossible. After we floated out of the ambulance, all we did was go to that weird, dark room where Alex cried."
"Well . . ." comes Alex's voice, slightly high pitched now. "I don't think . . . I think we were all pretty upset. Okay."
"But that was just for like an hour," the guy to Alex's right says. "We just showed up here."
"Look," Julie sighs softly. "I'm just telling you what my phone says. See? You died in 1995. When you were seventeen."
"It's 2020 now," (Y/n) tells them.
"So, this is the future?" the guy to Alex's left asks.
"Wait," Alex says. "So . . . So, it has been twenty-five years. I have been crying for twenty-five years? How is that possible?"
"Oh, believe me, I know what that's like. I think I'm at six, and counting," (Y/n) says, looking at Alex.
"Well, you're a very emotional person," the guy on the left points out.
"I am not!" Alex retorts.
"Thought you were afraid to come out here," Carlos, Julie's little brother says, walking into the studio. "You talking to your ghost friend? How does he look? Is he hideous?"
"What do you want?" Julie asks her brother.
"A normal sister for once. Hi (Y/n). It's time to eat," Carlos says and (Y/n) waves to the younger boy, and then Carlos leaves.
"He couldn't see you," (Y/n) realizes.
"Yeah, I mean, that's . . ." the guy on Alex's right says.
"Usually how ghosts work," Alex continues and the guy on his right hums in agreement.
Julie sighs and steps through the line of ghosts. "Look, I'm very sorry for what happened to you guys, but this isn't your studio anymore," Julie tells them and motions for (Y/n) to come stand beside her. "You have to leave," (Y/n) and Julie step out of the studio.
"But wait. We . . ."the guy on Alex's left now - the ghosts had turned around - says. "We didn't get your names."
"It's Julie," Julie says.
"(Y/n)."
"Cool," the guy chuckles. "I'm Luke," Julie levels the cross at them and (Y/n) gently takes the cross from her friend's hand, "by . . . by the way. And this is -"
The other guy interupts now, "Reggie. I'm Reggie. Hey," he waves.
"And -"
"Alex," Alex says. "How's it goin'?"
"Ba-da," Luke says softly, raising his hands a little.
"Okay," Julie says, walking away.
(Y/n) shrugs, but then laughs as Reggie comments, "Julie seems nice."
"Did you miss the part where she kicked us out, or . . . " Alex trails off, turning to look at (Y/n).
"I wish I could help. I really do," (Y/n) tells Alex. "But I don't live here." she says apologetically, then she jogs after Julie, back towards the house.
Word Count: 1060 words
So yeah, I'm halfway through episode one at this point, and I already love this!
I'll see you guys soon, probably later today, if I'm being honest.
Love,
         Kaitlynn ❤️😍

Standing in the middle of the busy Manhattan sidewalk, Eunjae ignored the flow of pedestrians brushing against her long, grey peacoat. A shaky exhale left her lips as she stared up through the lenses of her tinted sunglasses at the modern building towering above. A thick, black knitted scarf wound itself around her neck, tucked high enough to hide most of the bruising on her face. Eunjae had spent forty minutes that morning just trying to slap enough foundation on her cheeks to hide the ugly marks. However, the bruises from First Touch were impossible to completely cover. At least, according to Google.
So much for a first impression. Eunjae thought, grunting when the shoulder of a small child rammed into her ribs. She gave a tiny, polite smile as the kid’s mother apologized quickly before chasing her unruly son further down the sidewalk. Tucking her hands into the deep pockets of her coat, Eunjae buried her nose further into her scarf in an attempt to ward of the biting wind. Well that, and the gross smell of downtown Manhattan.
“Just fucking do it.” She muttered to herself, eyes still laser focused on the brown building. No one paid her any mind as they passed, too focused on wherever it was that they were going. Nodding to herself for encouragement, Eunjae flipped away the hair that blew into her face and moved her feet before she could change her mind.
The automatic glass doors whoosed open at her approach. As her booted feet stepped through the threshold, her shoulders almost instantly relaxed when the warm, central heated air hit her chilled skin. Eunjae pushed the sunglasses from her nose to perch in her silver hair, dark eyes scanning the fancy hotel lobby.
“Hello, miss.” The polite voice drew her attention away from where she was scrutinizing a tall man standing by the far elevator. Head turning, she met the gaze of a smiling hotel concierge. The golden name tag attached to the lapel on his black suit jacket read, ‘Steven.’ “Could I assist you with anything?”
“Uh,” Eunjae would be lying if she said she wasn’t a little overwhelmed by the stuffy atmosphere of the building. The few hotel patrons that glided through the marble lobby were dressed like little Bruce Wayne clones. She was half expecting the man stepping down the stairs to pull out a mask and scream, ‘I’m Batman!’
“I’m good, thanks. Just meeting someone.”
Eunjae waved her phone in the air as if it were some kind of golden ticket to solidify her presence there. The concierge just nodded with a smile and stepped off, leaving her to fend for herself. Sighing, Eunjae unlocked her phone to scroll through her most recent contacts. Listed right at the top was the mystery number that had called her the day previous.
It hadn’t been Jung Hoseok, much to Miles’ disappointment. Instead, it’d been one of Bangtan’s managers, Sejin. He’d introduced himself uncertainly in heavily accented English and asked if he had the right number. Eunjae had almost dropped the phone at his introduction and she’d nodded at his question like he could see her over the line.
“Yes, that’s me.”  Eunjae had spoken slowly as she sat up against the couch ramrock straight. Miles was jabbing a finger into the meat of her arm incessantly, mouthing for her to put it on speakerphone.
“Good, good.”  Sejin’s deep voice sounded almost relieved, if not a bit hesitant.  “I’m not sure how to go about this, so I’m just going to ask outright. Please excuse me if this sounds strange. But has anything...odd...happened to you within the past day?”
“Odd?”  Eunjae couldn’t help the nervous amusement that tickled her voice.  “Yeah, you could say that. So it’s really true, then? This is really happening? Is, uh...is...”
She trailed off, not sure how to ask the question straining on the edge of her tongue. Luckily, the man on the other line seemed to understand what she was trying to say. “Yes. Maybe it would be better if we could discuss this situation in person? How does tomorrow morning work for you?”
Fingers gliding across the screen of her cellphone back in the present, Eunjae sent off a quick text to Bangtan’s manager that she had arrived. Her hands were shaking with nerves in anticipation of the upcoming meeting.
I’m about to meet J-fucking-hope. Taking a deep breath, Eunjae tried to calm herself.  My soulmate. No biggie.
Digging the toes of her ankle boots into the rug of the hotel’s entrance, she shoved her clammy hands back into her coat pockets. Sure, she’d met Jung Hoseok face-to-face at the fanmeet almost two days ago, but that had been very brief. Now, she was about to walk into a room that would seal her fate. After today, she would no longer have the same life she used to. And because of that, Eunjae wasn’t quite sure how to feel.
Her feelings were a mixed bag. Part of her was excited--thrilled even--at the prospect of having one of the members of famed Bangtan Sonyeondan as her soulmate. Eunjae loved their music, she watched their v-lives when she could, and of course binged BTS crack videos on YouTube when she needed a laugh. Any ARMY would kill to be in her position.
But, Eunjae knew that she was going to have to uproot her entire life, and she wasn’t sure if she could give that up. It would be naive of her to think for even a second that Big Hit would allow one of their members to relocate to another country. There was nothing that Eunjae could do to change that, and a part of her hated it. She hated not having a choice on things that directly impacted her life.
But she didn’t--couldn’t--have any ill feelings towards J-hope. It wasn’t like it was his fault that fate drew them together. He was just as blameless in the situation as she was. So, taking a deep breath, Eunjae forced the thoughts from her mind before they could drown her.
“Morales Eunjae- ssi ?”
Blinking from where she’d been searing a hole into the rug with her eyes, Eunjae tilted her head back to look up at the man standing in front of her. Dressed in a soft looking beige sweater and black pants, Sejin stared down at her, eyes silently questioning if he’d gotten the correct person. The joked secret eighth member of Bangtan pushed the black frame of his rounded glasses further onto his nose with a smile.
“Yeah.” Eunjae’s voice came out in a squeak and she mentally berated herself for sounding so pathetic. Like always, once nerves started to take over, she lost control of both her mouth and her body. Her small fingers wiggled in a lame attempt at jazz hands, “that’s me.”
Lips twitching in amusement, Sejin bowed his head slightly before holding out a hand for her to shake. He took her bruised hand in his gently, eyes quickly scanning over the marks. “It’s nice to put a face to the name.”
“I’d say the same, but I already know who you are.” Eunjae joked, retracting her hand from his.
“I have a private meeting room reserved in the back.” Sejin tilted his head towards a hallway branching out from the side of the lobby’s main desk. “If you’ll follow me, we can talk there.”
Eunjae nodded before following the tall man across the lobby. She silently thanked Big Hit for being so thorough as to have Bangtan’s manager learn English. Eunjae didn’t even want to think about how awkward it would be to have a serious conversation with the man through Google Translate.
“So..,” Eunjae began in a half-joking tone as they walked down the empty hall. The pair passed one or two staff members who didn’t even spare them a second glance. “I’m not going to end up on the front cover of Dispatch for being caught here, am I?”
Sejin glanced down at her with a huff of amusement. “No. We’ve made sure that the staff here is very discrete.”
That was one way to say that they must have paid the hotel staff a large sum of money to keep their mouths shut.
“Ah.” Bruised hands clenched in the pockets of her coat, Eunjae asked the question that had been on her mind all day. “Is everyone gonna be there?”
Sejin shook his head as he turned left down another corridor. As they passed a few clouded glass doors, the man answered. “Bangtan has an interview in Chicago tonight, so the rest of the members and staff flew out last night. So it’ll just be the three of us.”
Internally screaming, Eunjae nodded her head calmly. While she felt a little bit of anxiety die down at the reassurance of not having to meet everyone at once, the thought of being in such an intimate setting with J-hope made her nervous. “Cool, cool.”
“There’s also some paperwork that we’re going to have to go over.”
Eunjae paused in responding as a staff member passed them by. Just how big was this hotel ? “Paperwork?”
Sejin glanced down at her as he finally came to a stop at a glass door at the end of the long hallway. Reaching out to pull down the handle, he nodded. “Yes. We’ll have to go over a nondisclosure agreement.”
That’s not at all daunting, Sejin, thanks.
The breath caught in her throat as he opened the door, anxiety rushing back to greet her. God, she was so nervous.  When the door swung open to reveal an empty room, however, Eunjae blinked in confusion. As if sensing her thoughts, Sejin waved a hand to a door at the back of the room.
“Through there.”
She followed him around a long, rectangular table to the back room. Bottom lip caught between her teeth, she felt her hands clam up as the tall man opened the door silently. Eunjae didn’t have to search far before her eyes landed on the lone man in the room.
Jung Hoseok sat in a leather rolling chair pulled out from the small table in the center of the room. His long legs, dressed in black skinny jeans, were spread open as he tapped one booted foot against the carpet. The man’s black hair was pushed back from the golden skin of his forehead with a thick red, white and yellow Supreme headband. And he had on a fitted white shirt with another grey jean jacket, this one with an emblem of a tiger on the right side. The sharp jaw of his profile greeted her as he stared down at the phone held in his hands.
Wow, he’s beautiful. Eunjae’s lips parted on their own accord in stunned awe. The breath caught in her throat when, as if hearing her thoughts, he looked up.
Hoseok’s eyes scanned her from head to toe almost unconsciously as his heart-shaped lips stretched into a smile. He took her in, from her long silver hair, to her buttoned up peacoat and down her short, jean clad legs. The moment passed by before Eunjae could process it, and he pushed his chair back to stand, eyes locked on hers.
“Hi.” Hoseok grinned, tiny dimples revealing themselves under his high cheekbones. His long legs cleared the short distance from his chair to her quickly, and he extended a hand for her to shake. He’d barely even spoken, but the confident swagger he excluded spoke volumes. The palm of his hand had the same ugly dark bruises that matched hers.
“Hi.” Eunjae breathed out shyly, lips pulling up on their own accord. She reached out to grasp his extended hand.
The second their skin met, a zing of electricity spread from her fingertips to the top of her shoulder. It didn’t hurt, quite the opposite in fact. It was warm, inviting,  magnetic . The feeling burrowed under her skin like an old friend and the anxiety that had been pumping through her veins quieted at his touch.
Eyes widening in surprise, her eyes shot down to their conjoined hands. Neither of them had let go, both just staring down in awe. Lips parting, Eunjae muttered a quiet, “holy shit .”
She’d heard stories of how the touch of a soulmate affected the body, but never would she have imagined it to be like this. It felt like coming home. Like her soul had finally found a piece that she hadn’t even realized was missing.
And it was so completely, and utterly overwhelming .
“Wow.” Hoseok breathed. His eyes drifted back up to hers, jaw dropped in surprise.
The sound of a throat clearing broke through the stunned silence.
Hand dropping his like she’d been burnt, Eunjae looked over at a smirking Sejin. The man was obviously trying to hide his amusement at the situation as he entered the room. For a moment, Eunjae had forgotten that he’d even been there. Subtly flexing her tingling hand, she tried to push down the overwhelming urge to reach out and touch Hoseok again. His body called out for her and she felt like a drug addict itching for her next fix.
Sejin walked over to the four chaired table and pulled out a seat, letting the pair still standing in the doorway have their moment.
“Ah,” Hoseok spoke, drawing Eunjae’s attention back to him, head tilting back to stare up at him. He scrunched his face cutely and flashed a smile that would have ARMY’s everywhere swooning. “Nice to meet you.”
His cute, accented English would be the death of her. The end of his sentence lilted in a questioning tone and it took Eunjae a moment to grasp at what he was silently asking.
“You too.” She returned his smile with one of her own. “I’m Eunjae.”
“I’m your hope, your my hope, I’m J-hope.” He fluttered his fingers around his face cutely and Eunjae snorted a laugh at his dramatics. It was almost as if he was able to sense her nervousness and was trying to defuse the situation. He paused for a moment, eyes lifting to the ceiling as if searching for the correct English translation. “But call me Hobi.”
“Okay, Hobi.” The use of his nickname earned her another wide smile, his eyes twinkling down at her.
“Now that introductions are out of the way,” Sejin spoke, drawing both of their gazes. Eunjae had to lean around Hoseok’s tall frame to look the manager’s way. “Let’s get down to business.”
Sejin gestured to the two open chairs across the table from him. A dark brown folder had appeared out of seemingly nowhere and Eunjae felt slight apprehension grow at the thought of what it contained. She followed Hoseok over to the table, sending him a grateful smile when he cutely pulled her chair out for her.
The adjustable chair was pulled up to its’ max height. So when her feet failed to reach the floor, Hobi hid a smile behind his hand and muttered under his breath in Korean. After he took his own seat, Sejin folded his hands on the table and straightened his glasses.
“There’s some details that we need to work out before we have to catch a flight in about an hour. But first,” Sejin slipped the folder open and pulled out two pieces of paper stapled together. He slid both that and a ballpoint pen across the table to her. “This is just a standard nondisclosure agreement. By signing it, you’ll be agreeing to not post anything on social media or otherwise, regarding any details of this situation. We’re lucky that we’re able to get ahead of it now. It would be in the best interest for the safety of both of you if no one else catches wind of this.”
Eunjae raised an eyebrow as she scanned over the document. “Makes sense.”
And it did. The K-Pop world centered around promoting idols as single and within reach of their fans. Eunjae had always found it disgusting how groups were essentially pimped out to their fans as their management tried to make them seem as attainable as possible. Not only did this make it virtually impossible for idols to date, but it put both them and their group’s reputation in danger should they ever get caught in a romantic scandal.
If the media, let alone ARMY, caught even a sliver of a hint pointing to her bond with J-hope, they’d both be ripped to shreds. And Bangtan could kiss their reputation goodbye.
“Feel free to hold on to that if you want to go over it with a lawyer.” Sejin continued, waving a hand at the document she was reading over. “You could fax it over once you’re done with it. No pressure to sign right now.”
“It’s fine.” Eunjae shook her head and signed the bottom of the last page with a flourish. Hoseok was resting his chin in his hand, eyes bouncing back and forth between her and his manager as he tried to follow the conversation. “It’s all pretty straight forward.”
The central heating in the room was starting to make Eunjae sweat under her coat. Scrunching her nose in slight disgust, she reached up to tug the scarf off from around her neck. Her fingers worked the buttons of her pea coat off and she slipped out of the sleeves with a small sigh of relief.
A noise of surprise left Hoseok and he straightened in his chair to stare her down. Eyebrows raised in confusion at his sudden reaction, Eunjae tilted her head at him. “What?”
Hobi leaned over the side of his chair and gestured a ringed finger at her cheeks. Speaking in rapid fire Korean, his forehead pinched with concern. Blinking, Eunjae tried and failed to translate what he’d just said.
“I don’t..,” Eunjae’s brow creased and a beat of awkward silence overtook the room as she stared up at him in confusion. “What?”
“You..,” Flapping a hand at her, Hoseok attempted to communicate what he’d just said. Sejin just sat there, a smile of amusement hid behind a hand as he let the two of them work it out themselves. Finally, Hobi pointed back at her face with a murmured, “ouch.”
Eunjae’s mouth formed an O as she finally picked up what he was trying to say. She gently prodded her bruised cheeks with a finger. “Yeah. Ouch.”
“Actually,” Sejin interrupted with pursed lips. “That kind of brings up a good point.”
“What do you mean?” Eunjae asked, finally breaking eye contact with Hoseok.
“Those bruises are kind of a red flag. Especially for Hobi- ya . And from what I’ve read up on, they aren’t very easy to cover up.”
Hoseok looked over to his manager at the sound of his name. Nodding in agreement, Eunjae thought back to her own poor attempt at covering the marks on her face. “This is true.”
“Yes,” Sejin nodded as well. “So we should get those healed up as much as we can while we’re here.”
“What do you--oh.”
The realization hit her like a ton of bricks. The only way to heal the bruises on their skin was with the touch of the other. Biting her bottom lip at the thought of snuggling of to J- fucking-hope , Eunjae couldn’t help the heat from rushing to her face.
It wasn’t that she hated skinship, in fact, she was a pretty avid cuddler. It was one of the reasons why Miles always refused to share a bed with her. However, Eunjae wasn’t in the habit of snuggling up next to a man ten minutes after meeting him. She only liked skinship with people that she knew well and was comfortable around.
Seeing the slow reddening of her cheeks, Hoseok raised an eyebrow and spoke to his manager in Korean, likely asking what was just said. At the reply from his manager, he hummed in acknowledgment and said something in response before turning to Eunjae with a warm smile. Hoseok lifted the arm closest to her invitingly, seeming not at all bothered at the thought of cuddling a virtual stranger. Perhaps he was able to sense her apprehension, or maybe she was just that easy to read, but his ability to disarm her so easily already was scary.
“Cuddle time!”
How he even knew those words in English was a mystery to Eunjae. Hoseok reached out an arm to hover over her shoulders, pausing to look down at her with questioning eyes. “Okay?”
Nodding, Eunjae forced down the feeling of her body screaming out for his touch. She appreciated the fact that he’d asked first. Even just having him that close pulled at her veins like a magnet. “Okay.”
At getting her permission, Hoseok slowly placed his arm around her shoulders, the material of his jean jacket tickling her skin. Eunjae had to bite her lip to stop the sigh from leaving her lips as the electric current spread through her body. The small, painful throb from the bruises on her cheeks stopped at his touch. The only thing she could feel was his warmth and she had to stop herself from leaning further into him, from burrowing herself in the feeling rushing through her veins.
When he scooted his chair closer to hers in order to find a more comfortable position, the scent of his cologne washed over her. He smelled woodsy; the warmth almost competing with his touch. Hoseok’s hand brushed casually against her arm and she chalked his comfort with skinship up to the cuddly maknae line. At the feeling of his body relaxing against hers, she wondered if he was feeling the effects of their bond just as much as she was.
That thought brought up a very important question.
Brows furrowing, Eunjae looked back to Sejin who had watched the whole thing transpire with a small smile on his face. “How’d you know it was me, by the way?”
“What do you mean?” Sejin asked and she could feel the gaze of Hoseok burning into the side of her face.
Eunjae wiggled a bruised hand in the air. “How’d you figure out who his soulmate was?”
“Ah.” Sejin leaned back into his chair. “We had a team pour over the CCTV recordings from the event. It took them a little while, but they were able to analyse and correspond the bruises on Hobi- ya ’s hands with the way he’d touched you. From then on, we backtracked and matched your entry ticket to get your contact information.”
Her eyebrows shot up into her hairline. Eunjae couldn’t help but feel both impressed and a little scared at how easily they’d found her. “Oh.”
Sejin glanced down at the watch on his wrist and frowned. “I hate to rush this, but we need to leave soon and there’s a few more things we need to sort out.”
This is it,  Eunjae thought reluctantly. She came into the building knowing that what transpired in that room would change her life. Either for better or worse, she wasn’t sure yet. Mentally bracing herself for the words that would ultimately bring her reality crashing down around her, she met Sejin’s gaze head on.
The man’s eyes turned apologetic, almost as if he could read the thoughts going through her head. “As you know, the boys are getting ready to go on tour soon.”
He waited for her nod before continuing. The arm thrown around her shoulders shifted as Hoseok’s leg pressed against hers. The electricity flowing under her skin was so palpable that she could almost taste it on her tongue.
“We could try and arrange a workaround if you wanted to stay here in New York.” That statement left Eunjae blinking in shock.
She’d figured that she wouldn’t even get a choice in the matter. But now she was being given the option of staying. Eunjae knew that if she did ultimately choose to stay in the city, the difficulty of arranging schedules to find time to prevent both of them from starving to death would be immense, bordering on impossible. But the fact that she was getting a choice was more than what she’d hoped for.
“Or,” Sejin continued, breaking her train of thought. “If you so choose, you could move out to Seoul by the end of the month. Or before the side effects of First Touch begin to show themselves. It would be all expenses paid, of course. The company would set you up in an apartment in the same building as the boys to make it easier to be discreet. And someone would be there to help you acclimate to South Korea, if need be. You attend university, correct?”
Feeling overwhelmed by the situation, all Eunjae could do was nod.
“We could help you transfer to a university within Seoul, if you wanted to continue your education there.”
“I don’t..uh,” Eunjae’s eyes widened. “I don’t know very much Korean.”
Nodding as if expecting that response, Sejin reassured her. “We could easily arrange for private lessons with a tutor to help teach you Korean.”
He stopped speaking then, giving her a moment to process everything he’d just said. Eunjae would be lying if she said that his offer didn’t sound at least a little appealing. But the thought of leaving behind the only people close to her to move to a new country and be essentially alone gave her pause.
“I know it’s a lot to take in.” His hands splayed on the table. “But you don’t have to answer right now. You have my phone number. Think it over--sleep on it, and you can give me your decision whenever you’re ready.”
Eunjae leaned back in her chair at his words, the cold button of Hoseok’s jacket sleeve digging into her neck. Glancing out the corner of her eyes, she saw that he’d already been looking at her. It seemed like Hoseok had given up on trying to translate the conversation, and had instead decided to just take her in instead. Heat once again rushing to her face from his gaze, Eunjae turned back to Sejin.
“Yeah. It’s..,” she waved a hand, searching for the words to encompass her feelings. “A lot.”
“Understandable.” Looking down at his watch again, Sejin grimaced. “I really hate that we have to rush this, but we need to get going if we’re going to catch our flight on time.”
He said something in Korean that had Hoseok straightening a little in his chair. The rapper responded too fast for her to try and decipher it. Shifting, his hand gave her shoulder a quick, seemingly reassuring squeeze before he retracted his arm. The sudden cold that took the place of his touch sent a shiver down Eunjae’s spine.
She only had time to blink once before Hoseok was holding his phone out towards her, lit up to show the new contact screen. His eyes scrunched into half-moons as he sent her a blinding smile. Gently wiggling the phone in his hands, he stated, “keep in touch!”
Eunjae tried to ignore the giddiness from the thought of being able to talk to him whenever she wanted. Sejin stood from his chair and she entered her information quickly and handed him back the device. Hoseok sent her a cute, cheeky smile before tapping a few times on the screen. The back pocket of her jeans vibrated at what she assumed to be a text message from him and she couldn’t help her smile.
“It was nice meeting you. I wish we could have stayed longer but, well, that’s part of the job.” Sejin tucked the brown folder under one arm, reaching out a hand to shake hers once again. “We’ll be in touch.”
The chair under her rolled backwards as she stood, Hoseok towering over her as he rose as well. “You too.”
“I would wait a few minutes before leaving after us,” Sejin warned, stepping around the table. “There might be paparazzi waiting outside.”
“Got it.” Eunjae slipped her arms back through her coat with a nod, winding the scarf back around her neck.
As the two made their way towards the door, Hoseok paused before he turned back. He reached out a hand to squeeze one of her shoulders, dark eyes scanned her form one last time. Cherub cheeks dimpling with a smile, he hummed. “Talk soon.”
The sound of the door closing behind them sent the final walls of her reality crashing down to the floor of the stuffy, heated room.

The Gift of Giving
Summary: Everyone gathers at Ericson's Diner to celebrate with a Christas party and Secret Santa.
Word Count: 3190
Read on AO3:
“Shit,” Violet muttered, trying her best to reach the top of the Christmas tree and place the star. Why did Louis have to buy such a huge tree for the diner? Even standing on one of the restaurant’s chairs wasn’t enough to get her to the top of the tree. “Stupid kids running around when they should be eating and shit,” Violet grumbled. It had been hard enough getting this star up the first time. Doing it again because of rowdy customers pissed her off.
Suddenly she felt her legs rise off the chair. Violet let out a little squeak of surprise before looking down and seeing her girlfriend smiling below her. Prisha chuckled. “Sorry for the scare. I figured you could use a hand,”
“Thanks,” Violet murmured, feeling rather flustered at the feeling of Prisha’s hands on her waist. She hadn’t known she was this strong. The extra few inches gave her enough height to safely put the star back in place. Prisha promptly lowered her to the ground, her hands hovering on Violet’s waist for a second longer.
“Hey, you two!” Louis exclaimed, striding into the room in a Santa costume, a bounce in his step. “Oh, Vi, you got the star back up! That’s great! Thought I’d have to ask Mitch or Marlon to do it before the party started,” Louis’ arms were full of all sorts of presents which he deposited on one of the booth tables. “Care to help me stack all the center tables to the sides? The others should be coming any minute now!”
“Where are Brody and Clem?” Violet asked, looking round the room as she picked up a chair to start stacking. “They just finished their shift too so they said they’d be sticking around,”
“They’re helping Ruby and Omar finish the final details on the party snacks. They’re gonna be delish!” Louis licked his lips excitedly. He toted a table by himself across the room before returning for another. “I’m so glad the snow slowed down outside! I was starting to get worried that half of the staff would miss out on their final Secret Santa gifts if they couldn’t make the drive in,”
“If that had been the case, we simply could have left the presents in their cubbies in the break room,” Prisha stated.
“Noooo,” Louis pouted. “It’s not the same if you don’t get to see the reactions!”
Violet cast a knowing smile her best friend’s way. Louis never changed. He always loved gift-giving most of all out of any part of Christmas. Letting out a small grunt, she lifted a set of stacked chairs and walked quickly toward the far wall. Louis had said he wanted to make a big circle with all the staff for the gift exchange so they’d need all the floor space they could get.
“Awesome!” Louis looked at their work proudly, his hands on his hips. “Now onto the music. Prisha, can you help me connect my iPod to the diner speakers? I put a special playlist together for tonight,”
“Of course,” Prisha headed with Louis over to the bar where the speaker system was, leaving Violet on her own. It was only a few seconds though before Brody and Clementine strode out carrying trays of Christmas cookies and hot cocoa. They still had the antlers on from their shift today. Violet felt lucky she’d been able to wriggle her way out of the seasonal uniform changes Louis had instituted. These two didn’t seem to mind though.
“Hey, Vi,” Brody said cheerily, setting the hot cocoa down on the next booth over from the presents. “You’re not dressing up for the party?”
Violet shrugged, tapping her Christmas nametag that was emblazoned with holly. “Got my Christmas decoration right here,”
Clementine placed the cookies down as well and joined them. “What are we talking about? Secret Santa gifts? I got my person something I’m hoping will blow their socks off!”
Brody smiled shyly. “I don’t want to brag, but I think I did pretty great too. How about you, Vi?”
Before Violet could answer, Louis came running over, wildly waving his hands. “No telling who you got for Secret Santa! It’s supposed to be a surprise till the last second!”
“Chill, Lou,” Clementine chuckled, slipping her hand into his. “Everything’s still hush hush. You make a very cute Santa, by the way,”
That got Louis distracted. His face heated up and he looked flustered, murmuring something about how Clem looked even cuter before tugging on one of his dreads.
Violet smirked. She’d tease him if she didn’t know it’d be thrown back into her face tenfold. Maybe sometime when Prisha wasn’t around to be used against her she’d bring this moment up.
Suddenly the front doors burst open and a flurry of wind and snow whoosed into the restaurant. Mitch strode in, bundled from head to toe, Marlon following close behind him. “We made it!” Mitch announced, stomping the snow from his boots before heading into the main part of the diner. “It snowed a shit ton today, but the roads are still clear enough to make it through. Are we late?”
“Nah, we’re still waiting on the twins, Renata and Aasim,” Louis walked forward to greet his friends only for his eyes to widen in excitement as he noticed Rosie beside Marlon. “No way! You brought Rosie?”
“Yep! I hope that’s OK. I made sure she went to the bathroom before we left so she should be good for the whole party,” Marlon chuckled as Louis was already on his knees before Rosie, laughing as she licked his face.
“This is gonna be our best party yet!”
“Now that we’re here it will!” Renata’s voice was heard from the service hall before the double doors burst open and she strode through with a proud smile, Sophie and Minnie walking side by side behind her. “Let the fun begin!”
“Awesome! So we’re only missing Aasim then. Hope he won’t be long,” Louis took out his phone to check for messages,
“Oh, you don’t have to check, Sug,” Ruby said, coming out from the double doors with Omar by her side. “He gave me a call about a half hour ago, said he’d be a bit late. But he’ll be here in time for presents.”
“Well, ok then. With everyone else present, let the festivities begin!” Louis did a dramatic twirl before tossing his Santa hat high in the air. “First game of the night: the limbo!”
There were plenty of games to be played at the Ericson’s Diner Christmas party. Those who wanted to like Louis and Renata participated in all of them while some of the quieter staff members stood off to the sides and enjoyed the music, conversation and snacks. Sophie found herself constantly torn between games and snacks and could be seen running back and forth, her mouth full of treats before she joined in on bowling for snowmen or blindman’s bluff.
Eventually once everyone was full of cookies and cocoa and the Christmas games had reached a lull it was time for Secret Santa. Aasim had snuck in at some point during the festivities, giving Ruby a quick kiss before settling into a booth with Omar to chat. Louis called everyone to sit in a circle and place their gifts in the center. He then stood by the pile of presents, making sure everyone was seated before clearing his throat. “Now that everyone is present, we can enjoy all the presents! Now, let me just reach into my handy dandy Santa cap which I’ve filled with everyone’s names, and the first one to go is… Clementine!” Louis held up the name proudly, displaying it to everyone before flashing a grin his girlfriend’s way. “And whose secret Santa were you, my sweet?”
“I was Aasim’s secret Santa,” Clementine gave a nod to her friend, sharing a smile before she stood to grab his gift. “I hope this isn’t something you already have and I just didn’t know. I thought it was pretty cool,”
Aasim took the present and unwrapped it, his eyes widening with interest as the gift was revealed. “An electronic notebook!” He squinted as he read the text on the back of the box. “Save digital versions of your planner pages to popular cloud services like Google drive, Dropbox, Evernote, box, OneNote, Slack, iCloud, email and more,”
“I figured this way you won’t have a ton of notebooks to look through if you want to reference something. You can just have all your information in one place,”
“Thank you, Clem. What a thoughtful gift,” Aasim looked down at his new notebook happily, clearly intrigued by it.
Louis reached into his Santa hat, giving it a dramatic twirl. “Next up is… Sophie!”
“Oooh, that’s me!” Sophie exclaimed, jumping up from her spot and scurrying over to her gift. I was Ruby’s secret Santa!” she dropped the gift into her friend’s lap with a bright smile.
Ruby let out a little grunt as the package plonked down on her legs. “Oof, heavier than expected,” She unwrapped her gift and revealed an unusually shaped baking tin. “Now what do we have here?”
“It’s cookie shot glasses!” Sophie exclaimed, bouncing on her feet excitedly. “So you bake the cookies in the shape of teeny shot glasses then instead of alcohol you do shots of milk!”
“Why, that’s quite the unique gift!” Ruby chuckled, setting the tin beside her. “I’ll be sure to put it to good use this Christmas,”
“Yeee, you like it!” Sophie did a happy little twirl before sitting back down.
“Two secret Santas, two awesome gifts! Let’s keep up the trend!” Louis declared. Shuffling around the cards in his hat, he drew the next name. “Oh, Minnie! Right after your twin!”
“And my twin’s the recipient of my gift,” Minnie replied, calmly rising to grab her gift.
“I knew it was you!” Sophie exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with excitement. “I just knew it!”
“Bet you don’t know what I got you though,” Minnie quipped, handing over the gift.
It was an album of photoshopped pictures of the twins and their family and friends. The once normal photos were now crazy pictures of them on the moon or as cats or with everybody at Ericson’s Diner but the twins were huge and held the rest of the staff in their hands. Sophie gasped and giggled at each and every picture as she flipped through the book. She cradled the album in her arms, her smile vibrant. “I love it! You’re the best, as always!”
Minnie shrugged, a small smile on her lips. “Knew I had to nail it considering I should know you better than anyone else,”
“Ahh, sisterly love. Is there anything better in the world?” Louis wiped a mock tear of his own from his eye before continuing. “Next is... Clem! Oh wait, that can’t be right. One sec…” Rummaging through the hat, Louis tossed out the names he had already drawn. “Ok, we’re all in the clear. And next is… Mitch!”
“I got Renata,” Mitch stood up and snatched his gift, tossing it over to the brunette. “Don’t know what sorta shit you’re into but I thought you’d like this,”
Renata tore into her present excitedly, tossing the wrapping paper dramatically to the side. She let out a loud gasp. “It’s henna!” She held up the henna kit for everyone to see. “This is awesome! I’m gonna put tattoos all over my face!”
“Hell yeah,” Mitch nodded in approval.
“Please don’t,” Ruby said, looking concerned.
Before Renata could come up with a retort, Louis had moved on to the next secret Santa. “Violet! It’s your turn to shine!”
Violet silently shuffled to her feet, silently grabbing her gift from the pile and handing it to Omar. “Here. I hope you like it,”
Omar carefully undid the wrapping paper. His eyes lit with interest as he unveiled his gift. “Texan Cooking: 101 Recipes. Thank you, Vi. I don’t have anything like this in my collection yet,”
A small smile alighted on Violet’s lips. “I’m glad,” Without another word she returned to her seat next to Prisha but a second later Prisha’s name had been called.
Prisha rose and took her present from the dwindling pile. “I was Louis’ secret Santa. I tried to pick something I think you’d quite enjoy,” Prisha carefully handed over a small square present.
Louis opened it with care, finding a cardboard box inside which he also opened with caution before his eyes lit up in wonder. In his hand he held a tiny silver piano. Intricate silver details decorated its entirety. Turning it over, Louis rotated a small lever. “La Vie En Rose” began to play softly. Louis’ eyes welled up with unshed tears. “It’s beautiful, Prish,” He stared at the gift for several seconds, long enough to make it clear he was utterly distracted.
Clearing her throat, Clementine gently took the hat from her boyfriend’s hands. “How ‘bout I take a turn, babe?” Louis nodded silently and took a seat in the circle, still lost in admiring his gift. Prisha was practically beaming with pride at the success of her gift.
“Alright, guys,” Clementine went digging in the hat and pulled out a new name. “It’s Brody’s turn!”
Brody bounced up from the floor, looking excited and nervous as she picked up a rather large present. “I was Mitch’s secret Santa,”
“No way,” Mitch exclaimed, his eyes large. “Then that time you were asking for gift ideas…?”
“I was shopping for you,” Brody nodded, smiling proudly. “Here ya go!”
Mitch ripped off the wrapping paper and let out an impressed whistle. “Dr. Gross’ Candy Lab Madness. No way! You get to make your own candy?”
“Yep! I figured you and Willy would have fun working on it together,”
“This is the shit! You’re totally coming over to make this with us too!”
“I can’t wait!” Brody leaned over to plant a kiss on her boyfriend’s forehead then took her seat beside him once more, blushing as Mitch softly wrapped an arm round her waist.
Clementine smiled over at her friends having their moment before continuing. “Next is Ruby!”
“I had Prisha,” Ruby declared, rolling onto her feet and picking up her gift before walking over and gently placing it in Prisha’s hands. “I hope I got the right size,”
Prisha looked intrigued by the statement. She opened the present to find a pair of crimson faux leather gloves inside. “Why, Ruby, these are extraordinary!” She pulled one on, admiring the craftsmanship. “And they fit perfectly! Thank you!”
“I’m glad. They look lovely on you,” Ruby smiled warmly before returning to her spot.
“Alrighty, next up is Renata,”
“I got Marlon!” Renata shouted. Crawling forward, she grabbed her gift and chucked it at the blond’s head.
Marlon caught the package with ease, opening it quickly. His face lit up with excitement. “Matching sweaters for me and Rosie!” He immediately got to work helping Rosie who was laying between him and Sophie get hers on. “Thanks, Renata! These are the best!”
“Worth every penny,” Renata grinned proudly.
Clementine grinned as they all admired Rosie in her new Christmas sweater. “Cute. Alright, Aasim is up next,”
Aasim grabbed a slender rectangular present from the pile before clearing his throat. “Minnie, I was your secret Santa. I hope you enjoy what I selected,”
Minnie took the gift that was handed her and calmly unwrapped it. A smile came to her lips as she held up the gift inside. “It’s a collection of Disney songs arranged for the guitar. Thanks, Aasim. These’ll be fun to try out,”
Aasim nodded in approval, clearly satisfied that he’d chosen well as they watched Minnie flip through the different songs with interest.
“Next is Omar,” Clementine declared, dropping the slip of paper to the ground. “We’re down to the last few,”
“I was Brody’s secret Santa,” Omar rose to his feet and carried a small present bag over to his friend. Brody reached inside and pulled out a CD. “Oooh, you got music for me to listen to on my drives?”
“Not quite. It’s actually music to sleep too. I remember you mentioned sometimes you have a hard time getting to sleep so I figured a collection of nature sounds would be nice,”
“That’s so sweet, Omar! Thank you, that’s really thoughtful,” Brody’s smile was warm as she got up quickly to hug her friend. Omar returned the hug warmly before walking back over to his seat on the floor.
“OK, last one, guys,” Clementine said, looking at the small present wrapped in dark blue, star-filled wrapping paper. “I bet we all know who that goes to. Louis, take it away,”
“My secret Santa giftee was Violet!” Louis chirped. Leaning forward, he got a hold of his gift and slid it across the circle to his best friend. “Go ahead, Vi. Open it!”
Violet opened the gift with caution, not wanting to mar the wrapping paper but feeling self-conscious of all the eyes on her. Inside was a jewelry case. She opened it to find a delicate charm bracelet with two charms upon it: a golden sun and a silver moon.
“I know you don’t like dealing with jewelry, but for this I figured you’d make an exception,” Louis explained with a grin.
A small smile was on Violet’s face as Prisha helped her put the charm bracelet on. “It’s really cool, Lou. You’re right. I will wear this,”
“Yipee!” Louis threw his arms up in the air in celebration. “And with that everyone- wait a minute,” He paused, counting out the presents on his fingers before looking toward his other best friend. “Marlon, we missed you! And the one person who hasn't gotten a gift is..." Louis' eyes widened in horror. "Clem! Oh shit, did we forget Clem? Was she here when the names were drawn? There's no presents left! What are we gonna-"
"Lou, chill!" Marlon said, jumping up to his feet and walking toward the bar. "I didn't add the present to the pile since I didn't want it to get damaged. It's right over here," He emerged from the bar holding something in one hand behind his back. Walking over to Clementine, Marlon raised a finger. "Close your eyes and carefully hold out your hands,"
Clementine did as instructed, her eyes squeezed tightly shut in excitement.
Marlon placed the present into her hands then quietly returned to his spot. "OK, now open them,"
Clementine opened her eyes and looked down and her hands, oohing in excitement when she saw what was there. "Is this a venus fly trap? I've never seen one in real life!"
"Yep!" Marlon grinned proudly. "I heard you and Violet talking about how badass they were in the break room a few weeks ago and I knew it'd make the perfect gift! Had to be careful with it though - it needs to keep warm and have lots of humidity if possible so I didn't want to wrap it and have it wilt. I hope it's not too hard to take care of,"
"I'll take the best care of it ever!" Clementine declared, her eyes shining with determination. "Thanks, Marlon!"
Louis' smile was soft as he watched his girlfriend tenderly trace her fingers along the leaves of her new plant. “Alright, and with that the secret Santa gift exchange is over. But the fun continues!” He jumped to his feet, grabbing his Santa hat from Clementine and putting it back on his head. “Who’s ready to party?”
“Wooo!” Renata cheered, joined quickly by Sophie.
The party picked up again quickly, everyone resuming their previous roles of joining in games or participating in snack-filled conversations. The party would continue for as long as they all wished. They enjoyed each other’s company, so knowing the staff it would probably go on for quite some time yet. That was fine though. They were all energized by the presents and fun, each of them feeling their own excitement as Christmas grew ever nearer. It was another successful Ericson’s Diner Christmas party to close out a great year.

AU where Ben doesn’t die (and you can’t just say he saves the world with his logic!! You gotta get IN DETAIL)
has it been literal months and should i have done this way earlier, yes and yes
I HATE YOU FOR MAKING ME THINK THOUGHTS BREE
(come on brain, think of things, come on brain, think of things, come on brain, be so smart-) ahem yes anyway
do i have to explain how ben didnt die? no but im gonna
so if we’re going off the fun (/s) theory of “the horror goes berserk and kills ben” or any other takes on “death by tentacle monster” then i propose:
my dear boy bennethy benjamin benson the sixth only rips himself up a little bit
like just a little
OR he dies but he gets better so its okay
anyway ben does not die and fast forward to their thirties
bree you’re not my MOM you’re not allowed to tell me how much i can have ben just be SMART so their family ISN’T falling apart because ben is THERE being the BRAINCELL and lending out WITS yes yes good
luther is not on the moon, because ben didn’t die so he didn’t feel guilty enough to stay, and when reggie sent him on the mission ben was like “...bro we should get coffee. lets skip out on saving this radioactive material and like. go sip some starbucks”
i never said ben was smart
hes logical but are any of them truly smart
“yes,” says the liar. “no,” says t.he wise old man on the top of the hill. “actually yes but they’re all dumbasses,” says me
ok ok so but
because ben is alive, this is the shit that does go down:
luther doesnt go to the moon, and he deserves good things so?? no monkeyfication?? blease
diego doesnt give up on being a police officer (klaus voice: hah bootlicker) and doesnt have a bad breakup with eudora, ben is cool like bens tend to be and just psychoanalyses their relationship so they work through their problems, like ADULTS
allison still lowkey screws up her marriage but like a little less? they still divorce but on less bad terms, and she and claire can visit and claire stays with allie on weekends or something
klaus
klaus does not turn to homelessness and whatever the hell klaus has been doing
why, you ask? because this time around be is perfectly physical and can and has punched him
then five is gone
and ben is a writer maybe because idk i think that’d be neat ok like please let him vent his feeling while making money sakjfsh that a joke but hes valid
vanya!! doesnt write the goddamn book!! fuck!!!
basically theyre like,,,, omg,,, an actual family woahhhhh
so then reggie dies right and theyre like “eh might as well go, maybe they’ll have scones”
and five comes back and everyone is like :0
ok ok ok so five didnt know anyone was alive bc there was no book right????? so like hes going into this blind
basically,,,, ben is the family glue,,,, he has the braincells,,,,, he keeps them together,,,, is this good enough bree is this valid
FINE ill keep going smh tho
so at the theater (yes im skipping to vanya somehow losing is (idk how tho) and now shes twv-ing at the theater. unhinged rep, i love her) and ben is like
“i have not used the horror since i left home. coolio klaus hold my beer”
he doesnt drink tho bc im assuming that fucks with the wigglies
and ben wrecks stuff but,,, carefully,,,
murders some temps guys
when vanya laserbeams the ceiling and the moon falls
this is where i get cool and overpower ben
ben just lets hordes of tentacles like
*whoosing noises*
the HOLD UP THE MOON BECAUSE BEN IS A PUNKASS BITCH AND I LOVE HIM
THEN STRAIGHT UP YEET THE ROCK BACK INTO SPACE
PROBABLY CRASH DOWN A SATELLITE WHICH,,, WHOOPS
BUT YEAH THATS HOW BEN BENNETHY BENITO BENJAMIN BENSON BENNERLY BENTHONY HARGREEVES
SA VE D THE WO RLD
the end
askdjhskf IS THIS WHAT YOU WANTED BREE??? @ur-a-lizard-hairy IS THIS GOOD ENOUGH FOR YOU????

SkamFR S5 Campaign
So this is probably no surprise. I have been talking with a few about what steps to take to make noise, as Niels wants us to, if we want a season 5, which we of course do ;) I guess this is like a 'main post' that I am making about the campaign so we all know where to write and discuss, and all can see what each other write? Anyway, here will be a few points:
- Watch the clips on francetvslash youtube channel, and try to give them as many views as possible. Also keep talking about it, and watch on their official channel if you can.
- A petition. Now, I have never done ANYTHING like this before. So if anyone knows where and how to make a petition, please do so we can start sighing it as quickly as possible. Then we will also have more signatures the sooner we start it.
- A letter campaign where we write letters to France Télévision. They are the ones who everyone in France pay taxes to, as I can understand, and it's good to tackle this at the core, meaning that if they know how much we want a s5, there's a bigger chance we will get it. Simply write in your letter why you want a s5, what the show has done for you, how it has affected your life, etc.
- Some power hours on twitter. I don't really use twitter, so I don't know much about this, but if some big fandom accounts on there could plan out some power hours and spread the word, where we will show our dedication through the #skamfrance tag, that would be great.
- Donation to help finance s5. Again, I do not know anything about this(I honestly don't know anything in this post at all, I feel bad I'm sorry), so if you do, please tell us and what to do. I'm sure a lot of us would want to contribute to finance s5 because we want it so bad.
- Reach out to the big fandom accounts on instagram and ask them to help spread the word about what we do, so as many people as possible see it. Fandom accounts like @skamfrance.live, @skamfr_elu and @skamlv.
Also, make sure to reach out to David and Niels on instagram and twitter. I see them especially active on instagram. Let them know about what we're doing and how much we want a s5. Let's use the fact that they communicate with us fans so much. Show them all the love. However, don't be pushy. Dont be like 'I want this because I want it'. No. Tell them WHY you want it, how the show has affected your life, how it has helped you. That way we can show how much it really means to us.
Another thing to keep in mind is: Who do we want as the main for s5? Personally, I would love for Eliott to be the main of s5. Maxence and FranceTVSlash liked a comment on instagram where someone asked for eliott's season. In my personal opinion it is very important to get a healthy representation of MI, I speak as someone whoose two best friends both have MI. Maxence clearly wants this, and he deserves it. He's an incredible man who is passionate about his work, and has talent that I feel like he hasn't been able to show off enough. Of course not everyone are gonna want s5 to be his season, but I have heard from everyone that I have talked to, and also seen other places here on tumblr, that people want s5 to be Eliott's.
Tumblr media
It's obvious that I don't really know anything about this kind of stuff, and I deeply apologize. But I want to make this post to hopefully show people that we're trying, I at least want to try to get something going, and then I hope a lot will help out and get some things official, so we can start showing how much we want s5 of Skam France.
Now, I don't have thousands of followers, meaning that I'm actually a bit worried about not enough people seeing this, so if you see this, PLEASE reblog it so as many people as possible see it, and can help out. Help spread the word. Tell it to the big fandom accounts. Just SPREAD SPREAD SPREAD. I will be you forever grateful. And also reblog with what you are going to do, and if you can help in any way, and if you can set anything up, like the petition or donation, tell the information about how to send letters to France Télévision, or whatever it is. No matter what, YOU WILL HELP US A LOT. I appreciate it.
Niels told us to be loud. Maxence wants a season. We are a big fandom who has grown over a short period of time. Let's show them just how loud we can be: LET'S BE LOUD WITH LOVE FOR THE SHOW, THE CAST, THE CREW, EVERYONE.

Crime Show Prompt List: Part Two
Author’s Note: This is a second prompt list for crime shows that I do since I watch those all the time. The first list has a lot of prompts that I like and I stumbled across more so I thought why not make another list. It makes more sense to me to make another list instead of adding more to the first one because it has a lot. I will link my other prompt lists below. Requests are open at the moment and if you have any questions on what I write for, feel free to ask. There are some shows that I’m not caught up with yet or just started watching. And if you guys have any suggestions on shows that you think I should watch, feel free to recommend.

70. “You’re still here... and you’re making pancakes?” “What? Do you not like pancakes?”
71. “Are you scared?” “No. I have this terrified look on my face cause I’m having. So. Much. Fun.”
72. “What happened to your-” “I lost a bet.” “Why-” “I don’t want to talk about it.”
73. “Then what did you think you would achieve?” “Well, certainly not this.”
74. “Lie to me again. See where that gets you.”
75. “I’m not going to hurt you. I’m going to let you watch as everyone around drops like flies, while you sit here, unable to do a damn thing about it. I will deny you mercy until you beg me for it, you understand? Because I want you to be in as much pain as I am in. I want you to understand what these monsters have done to me.”
76. “At least I didn’t kill anyone today.” “You say that like it was a difficult task.”
77. “Should I ask why you have a knife in your purse?” “It’s a dagger, actually. And no, you shouldn’t.”
78. “Look at you, sacrificing yourself for others! When did you get a heart? I had thought you lost your moral code.”
79. “I’m tired of your lame excuses.” “I was thrown off of a building!”
80. “Don’t you know who I am?” “Yup. I just don’t care.”
81. “You didn’t seriously...?” “Yep.” “You just...?” “Yep.” “Doesn’t that mean...?” “Probably.”
82. “Why are we running?” “There’s no time to explain! Keep running!” “We’re being shot at! What did you do?” “I kind of, sort of, maybe stumbled on an illegal drug operation?”
83. “Honey, I’ve got some good news and some bad news.” “What’s the good news?” “I’ll never do it again.”
84. “What part of, ‘I don’t want to get shot and thrown in jail,’ do you not understand?”
85. “I really don’t think that’s a good idea.” “Really! Of all things, you think this is a bad idea.”

Mad looks up at the weirdos who are all probably scowling or confused or-honestly he doesn’t care. He isn’t dealing with them and he’s isn’t going to sit in a circle with them playing kum bya or whatever it is they do. It’s mushy gumbo and he wants no part of it.
“Mad?” Looking back to Mare, the spirit is holding a hand out for him to take and Mad pauses only to flip the intruders off before taking the hand. For a split second, everything whooses around him before they land and he tears his hand from Mare’s again.
"I’m still mad at you.” Mad moves to his work bench.
Mare leans against the door to Mad’s mini-workshop, reaching up to lock it as he knows Mad prefers. There’s still only one light in here, sat on the bench, illuminating Mad’s little project. The spirit knows better than to ask. “I’m not explaining myself to you.”
“You don’t have to. Just know that I’m mad.”
Mare snorts and after a moment Mad snorts as well. That’s the beauty of their friendship. While kind of complex it’s also kind of simple. They’re both kids who found themselves in different awful situations and had to grow up pretty quick to survive in this crackpot world. Both of them are unstable and their mood can flip on a dime, but bring them together, let them interact, and they can cancel each other out.
“You let it get real bad this time.” Mare comments and Mad gives a half-shrug.
“What was I gonna do?” There’s no cure for what happened to him. The ink is sentient, self-sustaining, and respawns. As it comes back it starts in his lungs and slowly begins to spread. Leave it long enough, it will probably consume him, make him like the others. He’s only survived this long because they found out, by accident, that Mare can draw it out and burn it off.
“You could have called me.” Mad raises an eyebrow at him and Mare gives a knowing nod. “Except you’re a hardass who holds grudges.”
“And you betrayed me, then brought the reject little rascals into my home.” He doesn’t want them coming anywhere near him. All such happy peppy weirdos who probably would relish the chance to use Mad as a human punching bag. Though maybe less happy peppy right now.
“We needed somewhere to hide. I didn’t know you’d be here.”
“It’s my hideout!” he jabs a finger at the door. “I don’t want them here!”
“Well neither do they! But compared to this Mark guy, you’re smallfry.” Slowly, Mare makes his way over before turning and leaning against the workbench. There’s a slight smirk on his lips. “I learned something new about Google.”
That gets Mad’s attention. The holy grail of robotics. Google IRL, one remaining unit in operation. Sure there’s the three knockoffs created by the unit itself, but they’re impure. Google is one of a kind and Mare knows that Mad would kill to get his hands on the bot’s chassis. “What did you learn?”
Mare shrugs as though it’s no big deal. “Turns out he has a built-in voice control system.”
Mad pauses in thought for a few moments. Google IRL was intended to be an assistant droid and would naturally follow any order given to it, if it was programmed properly. Such a feature would be a wonderful gimmick but ultimately useless unless they expected their droids to go deviant and attempt to break their programming. Mad looks up to Mare. “I presume it requires trigger words.”
“Naturally.” Mare smirks and vaguely gestures to the door. “You let them stay here, maybe you can learn some more things.”
Mad’s fingers drum against the worktop, a rapid dum-dum-dum-dum against the wood as he considers it. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to at least talk with Google. The unit was designed to possibly be repurposed as a security guard for celebrities so Mad isn’t stupid enough to consider any kind of attack on Google. That would just end in pain and ignorance, neither of which he’s that interested in experiencing.
“Fine.” he eventually huffs, raising his fingers back to his project. “But they attack me, and they can fuck off.”
“I’ll let them know.” Mare pushes off from workbench. Mad doesn’t really play well with others so this is probably the best he could hope for.
“Mare.” Mare stops, turning back. Mad is still tinkering. “I’m glad you’re not still trapped.” Mad doesn’t do regrets. He does frequently act without thinking and then reassess later but he doesn’t do regrets. But when he returned to his old workshop and found it empty, he was maybe a little concerned that the spirit may have moved on. Not that he’s going to admit that to anyone ever.
Mare chuckles before he’s gone.
