A worm that can jump? It's more likely than you think! Asian jumping worms will thrash wildly when threatened, and have been known to leap nearly 30 cm (11 in) into the air! If that doesn't deter predators, they may also drop their tails just like a lizard.

If you send me proof that you’ve made a donation to UNRWA or another fund benefiting Palestinians– including esim donations and verified gofundmes– I’ll make art of any animal of your choosing.
[ID: Magnus archives fan art, Jonathan sims is in the foreground holding a handful of worms, he appears horrified, the creatures swarm the image and create most of the background.. Some of them bury themselves into Jon. Timothy stoker is in the background, trying to fend off the worms with a fire extinguisher, he is facing away from the viewer. The lighting is dark but there is a bright yellow light lighting up Jonathan sims face and a dimmer blue light backlighting Timothy stoker. End ID]
*Snufflethudgethurgsnorgesnuffle* Move aside, vanilla extract. Mole interest, comin' through. Thanks to all the mole artists and especially to @sabertoothwalrus for the fun little enrichment to our enclosures this week. Let's dig into it!
Vinegar eels are nematodes that live in fermented plant matter (like vinegar) and are usually raised as live fish food but to me they're just beautiful surreal pets. How are they so synchronized?!? How are these conveyer belt waves a bunch of ANIMALS!! In vinegar! They live in the acid made as bacteria break down fruit!! An alien planet is in this jar!!!
