I used to write...
Hello,
I'm Nag, I'm 21 and I miss writing.
During the pandemic, I began writing short stories and even an attempt to write a novel, which I finished but I now know that I need to check a few things. Anyway, later in 2021, I stopped writing. I stopped doing many things I used to do, but writing is the one I miss the most. Now, everything went back to normal. I go to school and I feel like I am barely doing anything with my time. I have no creativity and I miss the writer I once was. That is why I am writing this. I want to go back in time to 2020, where google docs was my best friend, where my writing playlist appeared in my Spotify wrapped and where my only interaction with my friends was “Hey, I wrote another story!”
So if you can help me in any way, I’m all ears.

I kinda feel bad lol because my last 4am sheffbrien fic ended up (after some rewriting later when I was more councious lol) pretty heavy and triggering so I kinda feel weird about posting one fic in one day when I make fun of the character and the next day the fic when he has a traumatic past and I'm making people feel sorry lol (even if said character is just Sheffield lol)
How weird is that? 😆

Why is it always when I actually desire to write I've no time for it BUT during the weekends, when basically all I have is time - the inspiration, the will, the desire...to write disappears somewhere.
Please, writing Gods, give me more hours to my days OR grant me my wish of receiving the will for writing on the weekends 🙏 that's all I'm asking for.

Soul mate idea?
We don't know what happened when the universe was created. All we know is that a bright white light pierced the darkness before erupting into color. Most scientists believe it was the first star. One that formed too fast and burned even faster. At the end of it's short existence it imploded before scattering its remains across the void, illuminating its hidden treasures. Some choose to believe it to be the heart of our creator. Their loneliness tearing into them, leaving them to bleed their heart out only to reveal the cosmos. They say that we are born of those heart pieces. That they're trying to come back together after being broken for a millenia. That's why we're drawn to each other. They say that the pieces are made of glass and shatter very easily. That's why heart break hurts so much.

Me back in 2017, apologizing to my readers for having to rush-finish a fic cause we were about to be hit with a Category 5 hurricane that night & would prolly loose power & internet for 2 months.
PLOT TWIST: It was actually 3 months of no power, internet OR even phone signal 'cause when the internet came mid-Oct. it was only for a few hours and I only had enough time to write a quick message on FB to let my family living in the US know that we weren't dead. 💀
Then the electricity sort of came back during Nov. but it was intermittent & I remember we almost didn't have a Thanksgiving dinner 'cause the only bakery that was offering to cook everyone’s turkey took too many orders and their oven failed a few times. So when we finally got our turkey it wasn't even fully cooked on the inside and we ended up using our own oven PRAYING that we wouldn't have another power-failure or else we would have to throw away the turkey >_> ...Hurricane María, fUn TiMes....

10 p.m.: Try to write about it. Fail.
1 a.m.: Still trying.
3 a.m.: Still trying
8 a.m.: Is thinking about the vague idea I so desperately wanted to write.
11 p.m.: Take two.
2 a.m.: Can't recognize the piece of mess I word vomitted all over the blank white space.
A month later.....
12 a.m.: Severe stress from life's event triggers something in me and get possessed by the Muse.
3 a.m.: Writing.
5 a.m.: Still writing.
Doen't remember when day broke and consciousness returned.
A few weeks later.....
Weekend.
12 p.m.: Have no smidgen of a goddamned clue on how to continue the thing I wrote a few weeks ago.
1 p.m.: Stress increased by 4+
How am I only ever talented when my mind's on the knife's edge.

HOW TO GIVE PERSONALITY TO A CHARACTER
Giving personality to a character is an essential part of character development in storytelling, whether you're writing a novel, screenplay, or creating a character for a role-playing game. Here are some steps and considerations to help you give personality to your character:
Understand Their Backstory:
Start by creating a detailed backstory for your character. Where were they born? What were their childhood experiences like? What significant events have shaped their life? Understanding their past can help you determine their motivations, fears, and desires.
2. Define Their Goals and Motivations:
Characters often become more interesting when they have clear goals and motivations. What does your character want? It could be something tangible like a job or a romantic relationship, or it could be an abstract desire like happiness or freedom.
3. Determine Their Strengths and Weaknesses:
No one is perfect, and characters should reflect this. Identify your character's strengths and weaknesses. This can include physical abilities, intellectual skills, and personality traits. Flaws can make characters relatable and three-dimensional.
4. Consider Their Personality Traits:
Think about your character's personality traits. Are they introverted or extroverted? Shy or outgoing? Kind or selfish? Create a list of traits that describe their character. You can use personality frameworks like the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator or the Big Five Personality Traits as a starting point.
5. Give Them Quirks and Habits:
Quirks and habits can make a character memorable. Do they have a specific way of speaking, a unique fashion style, or an unusual hobby? These details can help bring your character to life.
6. Explore Their Relationships:
Characters don't exist in isolation. Consider how your character interacts with others. What are their relationships like with family, friends, and enemies? These relationships can reveal a lot about their personality.
7. Show, Don't Tell:
Instead of explicitly telling the audience about your character's personality, show it through their actions, dialogue, and decisions. Let the reader or viewer infer their traits based on their behavior.
8. Create Internal Conflict:
Characters with internal conflicts are often more engaging. What inner struggles does your character face? These can be related to their goals, values, or past experiences.
9. Use Character Arcs:
Consider how your character will change or grow throughout the story. Character development is often about how a character evolves in response to the events and challenges they face.
10. Seek Inspiration:
Draw inspiration from real people, other fictional characters, or even historical figures. Study how people with similar traits and backgrounds behave to inform your character's actions and reactions.
11. Write Dialogue and Inner Monologues:
Writing dialogue and inner monologues from your character's perspective can help you get inside their head and understand their thought processes and emotions.
12. Consider the Setting:
The setting of your story can influence your character's personality. For example, a character who grows up in a war-torn environment may have a different personality than one raised in a peaceful, affluent society.
13. Revise and Refine:
Don't be afraid to revise and refine your character as you write and develop your story. Characters can evolve and change as the narrative unfolds.
Remember that well-developed characters are dynamic and multi-faceted. They should feel like real people with strengths, weaknesses, and complexities. As you write and develop your character, put yourself in their shoes and think about how they would react to various situations. This will help you create a compelling and believable personality for your character.

It's not an "abandoned" WIP, I didn't intentionally leave it in the forest to die and forget about it, it is a lost wip who wandered into the forest despite my pleas not to. I sit at the edge of the forest every day and hear it calling for help but there is nothing I can do. It is a haunting wip
