coraline by neil gaiman

this is a really easy read (i would hope that it was seems how it’s a children’s book). i was able to finish it in less than a day and i absolutely loved it. this book was definitely a 5/5 for me; recently, i haven’t really read anything quite like it.

this book follows coraline, a young girl who discovers a small door in her home. this door leads a world quite similar to her own, except it seems to be better. little does she know the horrors that await her.

if we were villains by m.l. rio

it was an easy read, but quite interesting. it took me about three days to finish (i have also been in school and doing schoolwork so that adds on to the time a bit). i’d say that it is about a 4/5 for me. it was very good i just wish that it had been longer and more detailed than it was.

if we were villains follows oliver marks, a former theatre student at dellecher classical conservatory and who has recently been released from serving ten years in prison. when he is released the man who put him in prison is waiting for oliver to tell him the whole story.

ten years ago, seven theatre students’ three and a half year (ish) friendship starts to deteriorate. this leads to fighting and disagreements amongst them and eventually a murder.
