I took a sketchbook doodle and digitally colored it. I liked the expression and pose of the sketch and wanted to finish it up. I played around with line thickness to try to help with the perspective and lighting. As well, as coloring the lines in blue that were closer to the light sconces. The background was something quick I threw together to try and give it some visual interest (especially given the Lacke of backgrounds in my gallery).

I discovered this YouTube channel (Apollo and Frens) of an African grey parrot learning basic English words and phrases and wanted to draw him. So, I grabbed a bunch of videos, paused them, and drew the frames.

My first attempt was a pink sketch page; I hadn't drawn birds for three years, and I struggled to draw his beak and scalp. Similarly, couldn't figure out the placement of his eyes. So, I grabbed some photos of African grey's skulls to help me study their anatomy before trying again. The green and purple sketches ended up a lot better than the pink.

liking a m/f ship doesn’t make someone a dirty heterosexual invading your space

preferring gay ships doesn’t make you ‘’woke’’ and good

no one owes you a disclaimer that they are a good person who recognizes that their favorite fictional villain’s actions are evil and that they don’t condone those actions irl

liking a fictional villain is in no way comparable to advocating abuse/murder/genocide/etc and you’re a fucking idiot if you believe that

just because a woman is attracted to a fictional villain doesn’t mean she’s promoting toxic relationships or going to end up in a toxic relationship. assuming women can’t tell fiction and reality apart stinks of internalized misogyny

some rando’s a/b/o fanfics have none of the level of influence that popular tv shows and movies spreading propaganda have

no one owes you a detailed description of their traumas and mental health problems

abusive relationships are not the same as enemies to lovers ships

y’all need to chill the fuck out over people, relationships, actions and events that don’t actually exist and learn how to enjoy and discuss them like normal people

fandom is a hobby, not a form of activism

I drew her with some flowers that represent her character.

I got five new polychromos colored pencils and did a doodle of my vampire OC Dalia with just the five new colors. I really like how the colors blend together. I especially like the final result of her hair. I do a lot of my color pencil work purely in color pencil; (Aside from a white pen for highlights) I sketched in a col-erase and then colored and lined with the polychromos colored pencils.

An illustration of my OC’s Finnegan and Margaret O’Neill, they are the parents of Ciarán. I wanted to make a drawing that looked like it could be an old family photo of them. Ciarán has his mother’s colors and his father’s nose and hair texture. I loosely based Finnegan’s hair, eye, and skin tone off myself, as an Irish person.

Finnegan and Margaret were farmers working on a farm that Finnegan’s family had owned for decades dubbed the O’Neill’s Golden Orchard. Unfortunately, since The Great Famine hit Ireland the couple’s farm was destroyed and they were harassed by the members of their community. Soon after the O’Neill family immigrated to England. Once they moved Finnegan begin working at a coal mine, with Margaret joining him after Ciarán was old enough to be left home alone. Unfortunately, this job would also lead to their sudden passing. Despite their turbulent lives both Finnegan and Margaret always tried to remind positive for their son.

I used a texture by Pikisuperstar on Freepik as an overlay on the B&W ver.

I wanted to try and draw something for black history month. In celebration, I drew a tribute to a black creator who inspired my growing up, that being Dwayne McDuffie. I grew up watching a lot of shows he worked on, Static Shock, Justice League/Unlimited, and the Ben 10 franchise.

A redraw of my OC Clyde as a kid with his favorite toy, Mr. Fuzzy-Patches. The original form 2021 is the image on the left the redraw is the image on the right.

Clyde was a pretty lonely kid on top of his father neglecting him (and his mom being dead) he didn't socialize much with kids his age. His only real friends were Mr. Fuzzy-Patches and a portrait of his dead mother, whom he liked to talk to.
