Reading newer witchy and witchcraft adjacent books is going to make me flip a table.
They're all the same. Goddess lists. Effeminate to the point of exclusion of male practitioners. Correspondences. Do no harm rules. Cultural appropriation. Use of dangerous herbs. Overly fanciful wording, like someone dunked it in glitter to embellish it.
I'm gonna lose my marbles.
Regurgitated and rewritten. Over and over again. Someone please give me good recommendations, before I cry
i turn off the lights, leaving only a single red candle lit. staring into the mirror i begin to chant, âSEXYY SEXYY SEXYYâ suddenly i find the coffee colored orbs of none other than sexyy red staring at me.
can yall please explain to me the point of Albert Camusâs The Stranger? i read it and thought it was a pretty good book, but i felt like i had to be missing something. itâs so hyped up in academia circles but it didnât really seem to stand out much from other classics. what am i missing?
i think my friendâs 3 year old son is a naturally born witch:
âhe is obsessed with the moon. he watches for it every night and keeps up with itâs cycle. one time he said, âi wish we could build a rocket ship to the moon.â i asked why we couldnât. he said, âcause we might get hurt and get blood.â he talks to the moon every night and tells us what the moon says to him.
âhe has a black cat that guards him fiercely and sits under his chair when he eats.
âhe loves flowers, grass, and rocks, and likes to give them to people. he likes to plant seeds too.
âone time a hummingbird landed on his shoulder and just sat there.
âi showed him my tarot cards(the cat tarot) and he went through all of them and pulled out the Wheel of Fortune and said âthis one is you.â
âhe sees things. i was once standing too close to some dead bushes and he said âget back. thereâs a ghost in those bushes. he needs to tell you sorryâ a few weeks passed and no one mentioned the ghost in the bushes, and then on a list of people he knows, he included the ghost. not bluey or bingo. not jack skellington or any other fictional character. just the ghost.
i feel like in my head i have my normal thoughts that reflect who i am and then i also have like a messy comment section of hate comments that constantly disagrees with and criticises everything. and sometimes when iâm emotionally deregulated the hate comments come out of my mouth as if they were my real opinions and then when i face the natural consequences of that happening i feel like âno that wasnât me who said that tho đâ
video: (annoying tiktok voice) you arenât (insert ethnicity/race) if you donât (insert random thing everyone does)
comments section: one comment âwell i must be (said ethnicity/race) bc iâve been doing (the thing) since i was a kid. thatâs how my parents taught me.â other comment, âyeah weâre the only ones that do this for sure. (other races/ethnicities) are nasty for not (doing said thing that everyone does)â
yeah cause itâs almost like we arenât all human and living the same lives. itâs not like people of other ethnicities/races are from other planets. weâre all from this same earth that gives us more or less the same animals and plants. we all sleep under the same moon and rise with the same sun. we all want our kids to do well in school. we all have dramatic crazy families. we all put meat inside some kind of wrapping and steam/fry it. my đ”đ· dad taught me to fry plantains one way and my đźđł step-dad taught me to fry them another. theyâre still plantains. ngl lie yall i really think social media algorithms are fuelling racist mindsets and keeping us from progressing. not to be a conspiracy theorist but i think whatever powers that be need us to be divided by social constructs like race to prevent us from uniting and gaining power in togetherness. iâm not saying we shouldnât âsee colorâ. we should see color/ethnicity, etc. we should acknowledge the beauty in other peopleâs customs, hair textures, eye colors, and not make it a taboo thing to talk about or ask questions about. or really make a big deal of. we should approach these things with the simplicity of children. thatâs the only way weâll ever progress.
