WHY DO PEOPLE LOVE "ENEMIES TO LOVERS" SO MUCH?

As people have pointed out to me so much that "People who like enemies to lovers prompts subconsciously think that no-one can love them unless they've seen them at their worst and blah blah" and I agree that may be true but hear me out. Personally what I think makes me love enemies to lovers so much is not just when they become lovers it's the banter between them which is funny, natural (when it's well written), witty and seems genuine no matter what. I mean you know how when we hate someone we find so many flaws about them and in this prompt when the author showcase the inner conflict of the both parties when finding out those flaws and the difficulty into maintaining the hatred even though they're both struggling to not be attracted to each other!!! The more frustrated the characters become because of this Natural chemistry based on Their hate the More enjoyable the story gets for me. It's also that they try to ignore things common between them and try very hard to focus on why they're different and fail miserably and the end banter(right before they get together) where they start to slowly realise that both have fallen for eachother is unmatched. Well so is the spicy flirting during other arguments but those moments when they're full of anger and trying to piss each other off to the grave and pass sensual remarks are just 🤤🤤🤤

What I am trying to say is I am obsessed with Josh and Jules and hate myself too much for hating "I lied" part so much that i cannot re-read the Book again 💔
