Ok, listen. I got curious and did style swap of these two. These two series are so similar but also slightly on the opposite ends visually and writing wise. Visually, both are stylized but still keep anatomy and references in mind. In writing both are 7+ demographically that are action, dramedies with a mix of urban fantasy and scifi. Gargoyles is a bit more muted in colors (makes sense, they are creatures that turn to stone), pay attention to shading, and curved in line expression. Tonally it is drama first, comedy elements second. Genre it is urban fantasy first with scifi elements. ROTTMNT is more saturated in colors, have minimal to no shading (have bits of extra black inking in the linework) with rim lighting every now and again, and sharper/angular line expression.
