1 indication that I might have been trans is that when I was a child I loved brushing my teeth messily so I got toothpaste foam on my face and I would use my toothbrush and pretend to be shaving my beard. I also loved having bubble beards.

An open letter to my dear trans and nonbinary friends inside my phone:
I really want every single one of you to know that you are awesome regardless of if and how you transition and present yourself.
You can choose to take T or E regardless of your gender. You can choose not to have T or E, too.
You can choose to have surgery without hormones. You can start hormones, stop for any reason, and then go back on hormones.
You can also choose to not have any medical transition at all.
You can choose to bind or tuck, regardless of your gender. You can also choose to not bind or tuck for any reason.
You can be a masculine girl or a feminine boy if that's what you want.
You can be a man and wear a dress with heels. You can be a woman and wear suits or muscle shirts. You can wear anything that sparks joy.
You can become the void or an eldritch horror or be "just a guy/gal but not really"
You can have any name you desire, even if it is viewed as a "stereotypical trans/nb name".
You can have any kind of genitalia your heart desires. It is not fetishistic to want a penis, vagina, or both.
If your body is a temple, then you are the deity to whom it worships. Therefore, you can decorate your temple to your liking and still be exactly who you know you are.
There are no rules to being trans enough.
There is no one way to be a boy, girl, or nonbinary person.
Whatever you are doing for yourself, you are killing it out there!

Mermay requests
Hey y’all!
I will be working on getting through the previous requests I had, but I just wanted to say that I am open to doing lots of mermay-themed requests too. That can be anything from a “lesbian mermaid” moodboard to a specific character or OC board, to just a general sea/pirate themed board.
Please send in some requests, I am interested in doing them! :)

K might have just had the very obvious realization that I identify more with the ace flag as a biromantic asexual person because I actually am asexual.
Where as with the bi flag, it is often called (very reasonably may I add) the bisexual flag. But I’m not bisexual I’m biromantic. So the ace flag represents my identity more accurately. Follow for more incredibly surface level and observations! /j

So for the last six months, I've been questioning my entire identity. I've listened closely to how I feel and narrowed it down a lot, but I can't find a label that fits it.
My gender identity is very fluid and never encompasses being 100% a binary woman; I feel more like a man than anything else. Being a man is my "core" gender. My gender identity is fluid between a wide range of genders, such as androgynous genders, genderlessness, male and masculine genders, neutral genders, non-binary genders, unaligned genders, and very rarely xenogenders, but sometimes my gender identity is heavily connected to femininity in a way that's largely different from how binary women are connected to femininity. My gender identity is mostly separate from being a binary woman, but it feels feminine-aligned, neutral-aligned, FINgender, and/or fiaspec.
I have mainly masculine and neutral genders at the same time.
Is there a label that fits this? I don't want it to be too broad, so nothing like genderfluid.

mon identité
J’ai enfin trouvé mon identité… c’était un long voyage, mais ça en valait la peine. J’ai même dit à mon père. J’espère pouvoir le dire à mon meilleur ami aussi…

I teased this in my last video (which was all about pirates) and here we are! I went and checked out "Queer at Sea: Tales from the 2SLGBTQ+ Community" at the British Columbia Maritime Museum and it was something else! The queer and trans communities have long been a part of BC’s maritime history and the exhibit conveyed their first hand accounts of love, prejudice, and hope.
I really enjoyed this exhibit and how it was put together. Queer at Sea is text-based with more stories and oral histories than physical objects, but the level of community involvement that bonded this into a fully fledged story is compelling.
If you would like to support this museum so that they can continue to put on fantastic exhibits like this one, please consider checking them out in person OR you can leave a donation here:

One thing that very much influenced my level of acceptance is that I learnt about most of the rainbow from AO3. So I didn't exactly learn it in the normal order. I went in knowing guys could like guys, and genderfluid people exist, discovered everything else by looking up anything ending that sounded like an identity, and only VERY late on after learning about nbs of various flavors did I learn about mtf/ftm trans people.
