Language Barrier
“Do you speak English?” Before I could answer this question, he rolled his eyes and walked away. This was not the first time. The second time, he approached me while I was busy wiping off a stain on patient’s bed, his head popped through the door and asked me the same question, then followed it up with another question, “Clear as mud?” he asked and I retorted, “Of course I know what that…

Yeah let's also cancel Lewis Hamilton for meeting and having conversations with Putin... Yeah... Also maybe Seb too because he was also there???? Yeah... Right...some of you have never had a job where you had to talk positively about someone you didn't like or approved just for the sake of keeping that job.
idk which time ur talking about hamilton and putin meeting up and making friends, as the only time i can find that they've interacted was at the 2015 russian grand prix where putin was giving out the race trophies. hamilton, vettel, and perez were all on the podium for that race. correct me if im wrong and theres another time theyve met, but thats literally all i can find.
now, first of all, there's a big difference between having to interact with a political figure on a race podium, and choosing to interact with them freely out in the paddock, taking pictures with them, and praising them in additional interviews. there's also a big difference between being polite to the current leader of the country you're in that is known for killing/imprisoning people who speak out against him, and actively supporting an ex-leader who has (as far as we know) never actually killed someone for not being supportive.
if you ask me, it would've been unsafe for hamilton or any of the drivers on that podium to speak out against putin at that moment or act impolitely. on the other hand, the biggest trouble norris could get in for not praising trump and taking pictures with him is maybe a talking too back at the mclaren HQ. like, lets be real, it would be ridiculous and insane of mclaren to fire norris after all the time/resources theyve put into his development, especially now that its finally starting to pay off. it would be like shooting themselves in the foot, a move thats generally reserved for ferrari's strategy team or sauber's pit stops.
furthermore, you are simply assuming that norris' job wouldve been at risk in this situation. not once has it been implied that he was threatened or coerced into this situation. its even less likely that that has happened since piastri hasn't made any comments or taken any pictures with trump as far as i can find. for all we know, it could've been norris' idea to do all that. so, not exactly the strongest defense here.
and even if he had been forced into the corner and told to take pictures and play nice, he also took it a step further to compliment trump in other interviews saying it was an "honor" and there's a lot to "respect" about trump. hamilton has never come out saying any of that about putin. in fact, he has come on the record since then condemning putin and his actions. can you tell me where norris has come out condemning trump and his actions? no? that's funny.

neville’s army story
Tumblr media Tumblr media
full creds : edward art series , part 2 ♡
𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧
When Neville was drafted in the army. Neville did not want to go. They told him, "Isn't that the act of a coward?" He said, "I didn't care what they said."
Why? Because there is no objective reality. Meaning the idea of a coward to one is different to another. Everyone perceives things different. You may be grand in ones eyes but evil in another. The trick is to not care about either and go to what you want.
But I want to touch on something important from this story. But first, when Neville wanted to be with his second wife, he was struggling with wondering HOW it will come about. He talks about how he started thinking of HOW is he going to get a divorce with his current wife. He has not spoken with her in awhile, HOW is he going to just speak with her? What is she going to say? etc .
𝐧𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐩𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐚𝐰
He admits he was forgot to exercise this Law. Yes, NEVILLE, the guy who teaches this stuff, forgot to exercise it. Lol. It happens to EVERYONE, even if you know it. But he did not blame himself, instead he went straight to the Law. He let go of all the HOW's and slept in the assumption that he was Married with that woman. He fell asleep as the one he WANTED to be. It was what his hearts desired.
"Never blame, only resolve." - Neville
So back to the army story. He must have learned to let go to the HOW, because he had people implying he is coward. But he did not care. He learned that he must fulfill his hearts desire. Who else can fulfill the desires in your heart, other than you?
He imagined he was out, but then was quickly rejected.
𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 and the outer world
Here is where I think many of us miss this lesson. Neville imagined what he wanted as though he had it already. He slept in room with men, in a tiny bed, yet in his mind he slept in New York in his room. He did what he wanted. BUT after he did this, he was rejected.
After rejection, what did he do? Did he say, "This shit does not work. I imagined and nothing happened. I was rejected. The world is just simply greater than my mind. I never get what I want." Did he react negatively to his rejection? Maybe a touch, who wouldn't? But did he complain? Did he feel that he cannot get what he wants? No. And honestly, I would not even get mad if he thought that. It is only natural to feel that. But we are not called to be "natural" but to not sin. We must not sin.
Neville was able to not react even after rejection because Neville was not imagining to "get out," in a sense. He was imagining who and where he WANTED to be. This is a huge difference. If he was imagining just to "get out" and control the outer-world, guess what? He just got rejected. From this intention he is going to feel completely defeated. If that was his sole purpose was to just "make something happen," then he lost.
He imagined to change his MIND. To change his FEELING of "I." He imagined to change the ONLY thing that is being expressed. HIMSELF. Neville at this time, knew he can change reality, if he changes himself. Since he was solely imagining on changing the FEELING of himself, he was able to persist regardless of circumstances. He did not care what others said, where he was at in the world, or his rejection. He ONLY cared about imagining what he wanted. From doing exactly that, he was about to imagine that way effortlessly for 9 days. He even said he was doing physical training for the army, but all he could think and feel is ecstasy. He was feeling what he wanted, not what he "must feel" or "have to feel" to "get out." No, solely to have he wanted in his mind.
He let go of controlling his outer-world and controlled himself. The world is reflecting self. And "Self" is everything you think you HAVE and ARE. He may have got rejected and thought, "I am stuck. I have to stay here." Instead, he changed himself, he changed what he believed he was and had in his mind. Now he believed he was back in New York, he HAS his bed back, his wife back etc. He has what he wants in his mind.
This is how I do it: When I close my eyes this world is shut out and I, like Isaac, am blind to the outer world. Then I feel myself into the state of my desire. With my inner eye I see it all around me. I sense its solidity, and when my five senses are awakened I have the feeling of relief, knowing it is accomplished. - Neville, Wonder Working Power
Neville removes the idea or concept of there even being an "outer-world" when he imagines. He then FEELS what he wishes, see's what he wishes
The great secret is the most freeing. It is to do anything you wish in your mind. You truly are the most high in your mind. You are so powerful in your mind that NOBODY can imprison you, you can only imprison yourself. Nobody can free you, you can only free yourself. You are the ruler in your mind. You can be the king or the peasant. It is entirely up to you, to what you desire to be in your mind.
"Don't think in terms of things coming to you. Think in terms of things coming FROM you. This means it was within you all along." - Edward Art

Explain the Methods: The 3-6-9
MADE BY NIKOLA TESLA AND ABRHAM-HICKS
Tumblr media
Nikola Tesla believed that the numbers 3, 6, and 9 have a “special connection” with one another. During his research, Tesla started to notice that those numbers tend to repeat themselves quite a lot, and he believed that those numbers were at the basis of the creation of the universe itself.
Abrham-Hicks states that if we concentrate on a thought, due to the law of attraction, we attract energy, and what we have thought expands until it manifests itself on the physical plane.
Tumblr media
The 3-6-9 is basically a mash-up of those theories.
This is why the 3-6-9 method is one of the most powerful manifestation methods. When you use those numbers, you are tapping into a greater power.
The method itself is pretty easy:
In the morning, you want to write your first three affirmations of the day, which will be about what you desire, like you already have it. (Ex., I'm so happy and grateful to have a healthy body.”)
In the evening, you want to write your six affirmations of the day that will be about your intention. (Ex. “Healthy body”)
At night, you want to write your last nine affirmations of the day, which will be about what the outcome will be. (Ex. “Health, desired body, more energy.)
Always write like you already have what you are wishing for.
I hope this helped. In the next post, I'm going to cover a not-so-popular method. Stayy tuned✨

So I had this interaction a few days ago and another post reminded me of it so I thought I’d see if the person had said anything further I missed, aaaand:
Tumblr media
Yeah they deleted my reply and their interaction w/ me, turned off further replies, and as far as I can tell also blocked me (not sure how to confirm not that I care). This just goes to show the state of conversation in hard leftist neo-liberal politics. As soon as someone brings up flaws and contradictions in their beliefs, instead of continuing the conversation and trying to learn or even continue pig headed arguing their bullshit, they ignore and delete all evidence, b/c it’s the internet and they can. Willful ignorance ain’t cute. If you’re not able to hold your own in the face of reason, maybe stay silent until you understand and can hold your own in a civil conversation instead of hiding your failures.

I won't lie.
These past few weeks I have been going THROUGH it.
Everything seems like it is falling apart while I'm trying to build something new and transform.
Taking this path of self love and development is rough. It is isolating and at times I begin to doubt myself and my dreams.
I look back and I see all the people who have left me and past grieves and sadness.
I look back and I see myself as a little girl. I ask "Did I let her down?"
BUT.
Sometimes when a door closes another one opens. It may not be located in the same floor and we have to climb the stairs to get there but we'll do.
Sometimes what we need is not what we want.
I always go back to that story I've read online about how our dogs want chocolate and we know it will hurt them so we don't give it to them.
This is what the Universe/God does for us too.
We don't know how other oaths would have turned out and maybe, just maybe we should hold on to patience and self belief.
Take care.
Xoxo S 💕

Hey, I saw a post about how it should be easy to be nice. But I wanted to let you know, that if you struggle to be nice and you’re trying to anyway. If you have anger issues but you’re trying your best to be nice and you find it hard. If you have narcissistic personality disorder and you’re trying to not fall into your symptoms. Or it’s just hard for you cause it’s hard. You’re doing a great job. Being nice can be hard, and not everyone is nice 100% of the time. You’re allowed to make mistakes and realize that. I’m proud of you. You’re not a bad person.

the beginner's guide to making money by investing in stocks (hot girl version)
since one of my goals here is to make money i wanted to teach you about what i know about investing in stocks. i use the website etoro to invest, below you can see a picture of my portfolio at the moment. i am by no means an expert but i've found the whole process of investing to be unnecessarily mystified so i thought i'd share what i have learned so far.
Tumblr media
what does buying stocks mean?
in simple terms, buying stocks means buying a (tiny) fraction of a company. if the value of the company increases the value of your share goes up, if the company loses money the value goes down.
when should i buy and sell?
ideally, you should buy when you think that the value of a stock will increase in the future and you should sell when you have made a profit. in practice, this means you try to invest when a stock has reached its lowest value and you sell when you think it has reached its peak (but this is, of course, impossible to predict perfectly).
where can i buy stocks?
i would personally recommend going through an online stock trading platform, like etoro. you can look up what the best stock trading platforms are for your country. you should pick one with minimal fees that offers some tutorial or introduction to trading.
you can also go through a stock broker (a person that makes the investments for you) or more broadly your bank - be aware though, that they might take a cut of your profit for their services which is something you need to subtract from your expected profit.
how do i know what to invest in?
There are a few recommendations that I have seen time and time again:
ETFs - exchange-traded funds are bundles of stocks that are traded together. the advantage of ETFs is that they don't rely on a single company making a profit, the companies just need to make a profit overall. they are much less volatile than individual stocks and since economies usually always grow in the long-term, you are very likely to make a profit.
large companies - you can also invest in large, well-established companies that are very likely to make a profit and very unlikely to go bankrupt (e.g., apple, amazon, etc.)
diversify - this means you should invest in a wide variety of companies and industries. even when one of them does really poorly you are likely to make a profit overall.
copy-trading - this means 'copying' the investments of a more experienced trader. so you specify an amount of money and invest it the same way someone who knows what they're doing is.
how much should i invest?
most websites have a minimum amount you need to invest so you could start with that to get a feel for how it works.
as a rule of thumb, they say you should not invest money that you will need within the next 5-10 years. that rule prevents you from having to sell your stock at an unfortunate moment - even if you initially write losses, you can wait for a moment when your stocks have increased in value again.
if you have a fixed income you can commit to investing a part of your income every month. i've seen this referred to as dollar-cost averaging and i have not tried it yet but it is said to be a good way to build wealth in the long term.
how do i actually make money using this knowledge?
simple answer: by selling your stock at the right time and withdrawing the money. investing is a marathon, not a sprint - you should generally give your money some time to make a profit instead of checking every day and panic selling when you see a slight change. disclaimer: at least where i am from you need to declare what you made from stocks as income and pay taxes on it.
thank you so much for reading!
if you have questions or know more about this and want to add something please leave a comment 💕

a rly underrated thing about crazy ex girlfriend imo is that it's one of the rare shows i know of that really spends time on exploring what the process of having children is like for queer ppl/for those who go about it "non-normatively". it's not even rly a main storyline but i still find it rly well-handled and touching.
#idk i feel like in the general consciousness (deciding to) having kids as a queer person is either treated as impossible#(which is true to an extent in some jurisdictions tbf - at least if you want the legal status of parents)#or is imo way oversimplified#like yeah most ppl know ivf is A Fucking Process but many ppl still seem to underestimate iui for example#or there's an assumption that all couples with no sperm between them choose to use a sperm bank and that that process is easy#and doesn't require any reflection (which it isn't and it does)#or that if you choose to go with a known donor finding a donor is an easy process (which it also rly isn't)#or for couples where no one can get pregnant that surrogacy goes without saying (in addition to the fact that surrogacy is banned#in Many Places where other MAR techniques aren't#finding a surrogate is also orders of magnitude more difficult than finding a gamete donor)#or that adoption is an obvious solution - idk if those ppl know any gay couples who are trying to adopt but i do#they've been in the process for SIX psychologically excruciating years and it will likely be another year before they actually have a child#and that's for white college-educated materially comfortable ppl#and idk but cxg does a rly good job with the storyline - from Darryl and White Josh's disagreement about whether to have kids#to Darryl's decision to have a kid alone#to him asking Heather and Rebecca for help with that process#to the fact that Heather and Rebecca's feelings about Hebecca are v realistic and nuanced atm#not at all maternal bc that's never what they wanted or planned for (being a mother to this child) but also not indifferent#for example the 'hello nice to meet you' reprise - i legit think that's the only time i've ever seen a known donor's attitude and feelings#about the child they helped create but in no way consider 'theirs' being explored. even in thirty seconds.#or even just the fact that Darryl is a lawyer and requests help from both a gamete donor and a gestational carrier - yes!#as far as i understand in the us 'surrogacy' (one person being pregnant with their own ovule) gives the pregnant person legal parental stat#and thus requires giving up those rights and sometimes adoption after birth#while 'splitting things up' between a donor and a carrier also cuts through that 'biological' link for the purposes of legal recognition#i might be wrong in my understanding of this but if not it's cool to see it handled realistically including wrt how the legal consequences#influences decisions about which choices you make#reproduction cw#children cw#adoption cw

This has always been the problem with the Howard Zinn school of history. Zinn’s history of the US resembles a biography written by a bitter former spouse. In lieu of a nuanced and accurate historical account it offers a deliberate slander of our own culture. The result is at once self-indulgent and self-pitying. A balanced account must not flinch from examining our historical mistakes and misdeeds and those of others, but the modern approach to history has too often become a neurotic wallowing in half-truths of our own failures. The corresponding utopian fantasies of other cultures more closely resemble the morality play of a Tolkien novel than the more complex experiences of people who actually lived on Earth.
As UK-based IEA economist Kristian Niemietz recently observed in a short Twitter thread about “anti-Britishness,” signalling disgust at our own culture and history has little to do with truth or helping marginalized communities. Rather, it is a way to advertise the superficial cleverness of radical self-criticism. By castigating the United States on social media or with our K12 or university students, we can flatter our moral egos without needing to donate money or time to communities in need. It fosters division and the main beneficiaries are not Native Americans or other marginalized groups, but whoever is collecting likes and followers online.
We can do better than this. US history should be clear and accurate about the US’s misdeeds, but we should also acknowledge that the US overcame its faults to become a beacon for progress. In the same way, we should highlight the wonderful culture, arts, religion, and so on of American Indians without turning them into pious exemplars of pastoral innocence and moral instruction. Our “ethnic studies” curricula too often lapse into propaganda designed to indict and shame the West and all its works. People and cultures are complex. If students were permitted to understand that human failings are universal but can be overcome, it might help to alleviate the depression and anxiety of those unjustly burdened by the sins of their ancestors.
