Ok one question that got me super curious I’m a huge fan of chenford and can’t wait to see what happens in season six with them but out of curiosity I have other tv show couples I love like Damon and Elena and Caroline and Klaus and a couple others what are your favorite tv show couples other then chenford

Oh, interesting question!

Well, let's start with the first ever ship that I fell in love with: Barney and Robin from How I Met Your Mother. HIMYM is the first English-speaking TV show that I ever watched, and I always loved those two together. And yes, I will forever be mad at how it all ended. Also, do they have an "official" ship name? I think I remember Swarkles? But idk...

Then there's the ship that I thought was my all-time favorite ship that no other ship could ever surpass: Castle and Beckett, also known as Caskett. I still love them to pieces, but Chenford has taken over the reign.

Then we have Kensi and Deeks, aka Densi, from NCIS: LA. I love them dearly, and am so glad they got what they've wanted for a while in the series finale last month. Yes, I cried.

I also have a soft spot for Tiva - Tony and Ziva from NCIS. I know it's been a while, and chances to see them back together on screen are slim, but I'm still hoping. Girl can dream, right?

I recently finished watching Brooklyn 99, and I immediately fell in love with Amy and Jake, also known as Peraltiago. They're so precious, and I love their dynamic so much.

Another ship I love is Jane and Lisbon from The Mentalist. I know they have a ship name, but I'm not sure how much I like it, so I won't mention it..

Okay, I think those are the ones that I like best. If I had to rank them, I don't think I'd get further than putting Chenford in first place. Nope, hold on.

Because OMG, how could I forget Chandler and Monica?! I literally have Friends on in the background right now, and almost forgot them.

Ok, so maybe I can add number two on the list, after all. But after Chenford and Mondler, I really don't know. I just love them all a lot. I think I'd have to put like three of them in the same no 3 spot, and then the other three together in 4. Once more, my indecisiveness shines through. Yay..

And once again, my answer is a little long. I just can't seem to keep these short. Oh well.

Percy growing up with Sally Jackson. Knowing what being loved unconditionally means. Being shielded from a world where his entire existence is a danger and a threat. Growing with hardship because people are not always kind but still always having his mom there for him. A woman who sacrificed everything for him to be safe, that stayed with a man like Gabe just so she could give Percy more time to live as a normal kid.

And then you have Annabeth that was a gift to her dad until she wasn't. That knew of her demigod identity since she was far too young and that made it even harder for her to survive. A kid who has spent her life being second choice if she was chosen at all because her dad had a new family and she wasn't a gift anymore, she was a danger. So she left home at 7 and found another family who cared for her until they didn't or couldn't . A goddess as a mother whose love was always conditional.

Percy never needed Poseidon because Sally always gave him everything he needed.

While Annabeth spent her life trying to be the best she could be with no margin for error so at least someone would finally stay and care for her.

She didn't need to of course.

And Percy showed it to her. Even with his memories gone by divine intervention. He still remembered her. He stayed for her. He fell into hell with her.

gratitude list time I'll go first

#stopped caring about some things I was caring far too much about #it's another rainy dreary day which means I can wear cozy clothes and curl up with my brother's dog and coffee and a book #little guy and I are just chillin. he's tiny and shorthaired so he gets cold easily and likes to cuddle up #and seeing as I'm the only person home rn... doggo cuddle time it is!!!#I've been reading more lately!! I'm having trouble with tbosas so I got out a couple other things (sea of tranquility included)#that I've really enjoyed. I have been crying all day like many lumo fans but it's still sinking in that Marc who plays Luis is leaving the show which means that lumo will be no more. He says he's still on tv till after summer but knowing what that means for my fav couple is just heartbreaking 😭💔

sadly the foreshadowing of them both catching the bouquet won't be coming true after all 😭😭😭 it just hurts so bad 💔 the actor even liked my comment about how this is destroying me cause lumo means everything to me. I won't continue to watch the show after he's gone

I just can't. Even the thought of them making Moritz move on kill's me so I'll make a clean complete cut once he's gone. 😭this after not getting stories with them for 2 months now hurts even more. I really wanted them to be the first gay wedding on this show. 💔🥺

Is it just me or is this season of succession a little more "on the nose" than previous ones? Idk

agreed—i do think on the whole it's less, like, ~subtle~ writing-wise. but i personally don't think that's a bad thing! not only is it justifiable on a character level—the siblings' dad, aka the single person their lives revolve around, has died so of course they're going to bare everything and say Whatever The Fuck, grief will do that to you—but it totally makes sense on a structural level, knowing as we do this is the last season. succession is not really a plot-dominated show and never has been, but this season there's nonetheless a clear sense of spiraling downwards towards psychological destruction the finish line.

and even if the final episode ends up as open-ended as i suspect it will be...you still need a sense of, like, momentum to get there. idk. the writers have made it very obvious that things are wrapping up so i don't see them suddenly delving into Secret New Roy Sibling Psychological Hangup We've Never Seen, which was something they had time for on earlier seasons. subtle nuances rock and are one of the reasons i originally got hooked on the show, but also: let's not kid ourselves, it would be frustrating to have another season 3-type thing that's anticlimax after anticlimax and then wrap it up. (i adore s3's overall arc—i think it's so smart the way the sibling relationship and eventual convergence is structured and hidden under the business plots fizzling out—but i think individual episodes feel a little stagnant. which is not a problem i've had with s4!)

do i miss some of the subtlety? sure. but a) i don't think subtlety is the be-all end-all of "good writing" actually and b) this response isn't like a "ooooh i'm trying to make the best of it"—i do think the writers are making really strong choices here. also one thing about me i loooove a show that isn't afraid to teeter on the edge of the abyss and boy howdy that sure is happening

#i was only able to rewatch s3 before this one aired so i want to do a full series rewatch once we have The Whole Enchilada #like s2 is probably my favorite but i am really loving this one. praying to god they stick the landing #i love tv as long-form storytelling and in order for it to really be Great Television you've got to smash a couple strictures along the way #succession #asks #anon anon #literary thought of the day
