When I finish my ghoap Christmas oneshot that I started way back in start December, and have been struggling with since, then it’s over for you fools 🎅
Hot take, but I don't think Gojo is really the type to trauma dump on the students about Geto.
This is the guy who carries the weight of the world on his shoulders with protecting everyone from all major threats and has a high priority of making things better for young sorcerers. He has a tendency to hide his true feelings from those who look up to him (yes, even Megumi) to the point where none of the students had any clue who the fuck Geto was when he showed up in Volume 0. They hadn't even heard of Geto's name before, let alone his drama with Gojo.
Gojo is the sort of person to shield themselves from hurt with humor and nonchalance. When Yuuta asks about Geto, Gojo just laughs and says he's his best friend and leaves it at that. It's obviously painful for him to see Geto again during that arc and he doesn't shy away from showing he's not playing games when Geto is teasing the kids, but he reveals nothing else.
In my head, Gojo wants nothing more than to leave the memory of Geto unscathed. Everyone who knew him back when they were still everything to each other already knows what he's become and he doesn't want to have to explain that to those who didn't know him. There's still a part of Geto's memory that's untarnished if he keeps it private instead of exposing the depth of Geto's crimes to the students, and I think that's what he's clinging onto.
