After Chapter 7, Malleus and by extension Briar Valley had to deal with plenty of backlash.

In an attempt to appease the public (and control Malleus), the Senate organized a press conference with world leaders and NRC parents (there's A LOT of overlap between those two groups).

The main idea was to show the Senate as capable advisors that would guide the young Draconia, cementing their status in Briar Valley while also "protecting" and isolating Malleus.

What really happened was that Mrs. Rosehearts yelled at them for ten hours straight.

You see, Riddle was worried about how his mother would react to the entire Chapter 7 situation, so he made sure to explain everything to her, casting Malleus and Lillia in a more favourable light.

And it acually worked! You see, despite all her failures as a parent, she is still a mother at the end of the day, and the idea that a son would go to such great lenghts, overblotting and almost dooming the entire world, just to keep his parental figure safe, was quite touching.

She also has a newfound respect for Lillia, how he spent all those years looking for ways to get Malleus to hatch, how he went above and beyond to care for the Prince, even while banished, how he adopted and raised Silver (who is the only student she actually respects). HOW HE LITERALLY SACRIFICED PART OF HIS LIFEFORCE FOR MALLEUS TO HATCH!

On the other hand, she HATES the Senate. Mostly because she put herself in Meleanor's shoes: imagine you're about to die and decide to entrust your unborn son to your friend, only for said friend to be unjustly banished, leaving your kid in the hands of a bunch of entitled senators that completely DISREGARDED YOUR LAST WISH (Mrs. Rosehearts hates it when people don't do what she says, so she feels personally offended by that last bit, the fact that Malleus almost died also doesn't help).

Anyway, she's angry and, since the Senate IS encouraging people to air their grievances with Briar Valley, might as well seize this opportunity!

Malleus, Silver, Sebek, Lillia, Baul and Maleficia feel vindicated. Since only the housewardens and Diasomnia were invited for the event, the group chat was crazy.

The housewardens were all sitting together near the back of the room, alongside Silver and Sebek (they DON'T want to draw attention to themselves, especially since most of them are overblot survivors), so they could easily chat or sleep. Meanwhile the students back on campus were watching everything at Ramshackle.

As a small bonus, a few ways to avoid panic attacks, by Riddle and Trey:

*Mrs. Rosehearts starts talking*

Trey: Hey Rook!

Rook: Oui?

Trey: What is the meaning of beauty?

Rook: :D

*Rook starts monologuing and nobody can hear the TV anymore*

Meanwhile Riddle:

*School chat*

Epel: So, how long until she stops yelling at people? It ain't funny anymore...

Riddle: Since she yelled at Trey's parents for five hours because they gave me a tart, maybe ten or fifteen hours?

Ruggie: Wtf

Deuce: Are you doing okay, dormhead?

Riddle: I have a fully charged phone with a crosswords app, headphones playing all the Queen's rules on loop, and an entire bottle filled with the strongest calming tea I could find.

Riddle: Moreover, I'm currently seated beside the sleepiest students in this school (Leona and Silver). Their calm disposition creates a peaceful environment.

Riddle: Therefore I shall be able to keep panic attacks AND overblots at bay!

Ace: Just say yes or no...

*15 minutes later*

Riddle: I beat the game, there are no more crosswords

Vil: Chess.com

Vil: NOW

Vil: Wake Leona up, we're having a TOURNAMENT!

Idia: Congrats, u just got a World Record

Idia: Also I'm sending you a list of games later...

They left a bit after the seventh hour mark.

Riddle: The kid who treated being line leader as though he had just been elected President of the United States of America

Ace: Would stand up in class and shout "FOR KOBE" and throw a piece of paper at the trash bin. Would completely miss.

Cater: Filming a fucking TikTok dance in the middle of the school hallway during class transitions. Fucking MOVE, i got places to be. (I walk directly though their tiktok and ruin it)

Trey: That kid who's birthday you know by heart and eagerly await every year because he brings in the BEST desserts. The good kush.

Deuce: Says the stupidest shit in class unironically. Other guys are confused as to how this makes him more endearing but girls fawn all over him.

Azul: Passes by his crush (Jamil) in the hallway and thinks blud will stop and fall madly in love with him at first sight and will declare his love to Azul and it'll be something straight out of a teen girl movie. Floyd: Kid who only likes Chemistry because he's crazy excited about mixing chemicals and setting things on fire. Anything he makes in a lab he loudly comments on how badly he want's to take a bit fat slurp/bite out of it. (it's me i do this)

Jade: One of the mushroom core girlies. Wears mushroom jewelry, has mushrooms patterns on his clothes, draws them for art class, draws them on his notebooks and binders. It's almost obnoxious but he's forgiven by everyone because he's hot.

Leona: Literally doesn't give a shit about school. Shows up in pajama bottom's and takes the fattest nap right in the middle of Geometry.

Jack: The only nice guy on the football team, girls LUST for him ❤

Ruggie: The only class this kid liked was free and reduced lunch (real)

Kalim: Guy who refuses to eat school food. He's probably got the right idea, that nacho cheese sauce probably causes cancer. Brings the most banger lunches and makes people jealous. (Lunchables, the GOOD fruit gummies, chips, a cookie, and a Caprisun.)

Jamil: In classes where you're not allowed to eat, he's the kid who sits in the back and makes a 9 course Gordan Ramsay approved gourmet meal.

Idia: This was so easy this guy was the anime weebo who wore anime merch every day and sometimes even wore anime wigs to school. He won't admit it but he would Naruto run through the halls in middle school.

Ortho: The cute little innocent babey schnookums who the girls all doted on. Hurt him and you'll get jumped by every girl in the student body. Fuck around and find out type shit.

Vil: Bozo who would literally paint their nails in class and would be doing their eyeliner while the teacher was trying to explain mRNA.

Epel: YEEHAW REDNECK KID. you know who i mean. the one who wears a hat with the American flag on it every day and whenever the teacher tells them to take it off they go on a rant about how unpatriotic the teacher is.

Rook: The only kid who actually liked French class. Tries to rizz people up in the hallway and asks for their Snap but always fails. Maidenless behavior.

Malleus: The tall quiet emo kid who slumps in his chair on his phone, with the bottom resting on his belly. He looks like he's listening to edgy emo music but it's actually tooth rotting cheesy pop music

Lilia: The manic pixie dream girl who will spew the most wise sage advice when asked.

Sebek: Literally one of those girls who's attached to her boyfriend like a parasite. You cannot separate her. Overly loyal and won't stfu. Is like a mix between a golden retriever and a chihuahua.

Silver: I swear on my life he's one of the kids who's been adopted by his entire friendgroup. People love him he's just a likeable person. He makes a new friend and BOOM they've adopted him. You're my son now, boy.

Definitely thinks you are pulling his leg when you tell him your family members are demons, and even teases you about it often. Until he meets the demon brothers and literally has an 'oh, shit' moment.

Ace is impressed by Lucifer's air of authority and regality; however, he can't help but feel like Lucifer is another Riddle with all the rules he puts out. No wonder you had no issues with Riddle's rules - you were used to Lucifer's strictness.

When he meets Mammon, Ace immediately considers him a soft target for playing pranks. At the same time, he can somewhat relate to Mammon because they both are pranksters and carefree. Ace sometimes teams up with the second brother to play pranks on others. But if they get caught by Lucifer, your boyfriend pins the blame on Mammon to avoid punishment.

Ace feels like Levi is a mild version of Idia, and Asmo is an extreme version of Vil. He doesn't really get along with them in the sense that he doesn't spend much time around them.

Satan, on the other hand, fascinates Ace, minus the anger issues. Your boyfriend doesn't want to be around the Avatar of Wrath when he loses his temper.

At first, Ace is intimated when he sees Beel, especially when he sees the Avatar of Gluttony eating. Where does all that food go, and how is Beel always hungry? Ace can't understand. Learning how easygoing and friendly Beel is, he eventually relaxes. He may or may not pull pranks on the sixth brother.

Ace is curious why Belphie always sleeps and thinks he might have some sort of sleeping condition. He even tries to ask Belphie, but you stop him and explain that the seventh brother is just the Avatar of Sloth, so it's second nature for him to sleep.

Overall, Ace is excited and a bit intimidated to meet your family. But most of all, he wants to see their demon forms. He can't image how cool they must all look.

Knows right away when he sees Ace that your boyfriend is a prankster - he has lived with a prankster enough to know one when he sees one.

For the most part, Lucifer doesn't mind Ace's presence or you dating him. As long as Ace follows the rules of the House of Lamentation and doesn't do anything stupid, the first brother doesn't mind.

What Lucifer doesn't expect is Ace's ability to speak the honest, brutal truth. He is amused when he hears the redhead set everyone in place. But if Ace dares to be brutal towards Lucifer, the first brother will not hesitate to make your boyfriend cry, even if you get mad.

Initially, the second brother likes Ace's lively and carefree personality, but when he sees your boyfriend's 'other' side, Mammon is secretly scared.

Being an emotional demon, he doesn't want to deal with another family member who is verbally brutal towards him.

Regardless, he sees Ace as a partner in crime when it comes to pulling pranks on others, except Mammon doesn't appreciate Ace holding him responsible for the prank to escape punishment.

Levi doesn't like the idea of you dating in general, but when he meets Ace, the third brother, he definitely doesn't want you to date him.

He can see right through Ace's bright personality and knows a 'demon' is hidden behind it.

Levi has a 'told you so' moment when Ace shows his verbally brutal and prankster side. Since then, he maintains his distance from Ace, not wanting to hear his brutal words or be a prank target.

He is the only brother who completely opposes you dating Ace.

After studying Ace's personality, Satan doesn't expect much from him until he realizes that your boyfriend is much cleverer than he leads others to believe.

Satan also sees Ace as a partner in crime when it comes to pranking, but much to the fourth brother's dismay, your boyfriend refuses to prank Lucifer out of fear respect.

One thing about the redhead that annoys Satan is Ace's lack of focus, especially in his studies. If someone has the intelligence to do well, then why not try to do well to succeed in life?

Initially, Asmo sees Ace as a cutie and a breath of fresh air, but seeing your boyfriend's pranks makes him feel like he's just like his brothers - more chaos in the family.

The fifth brother absolutely dislikes Ace's brutal honesty, mainly when your boyfriend targets Asmo's insecurities. It makes him want to cry.

Overall, he doesn't mind you dating Ace but could do without the pranks and unnecessary brutal honesty.

He happily welcomes Ace into the family and admires your boyfriend's energetic and bright nature.

But Beel doesn't understand why Ace keeps staring at him while he is eating. Is it really that amusing to watch him eat?

However, the Avatar of Gluttony does not appreciate Ace pranking any of his brothers while pushing the limits.

He thinks Ace is too energetic and feels drained just seeing your boyfriend's enthusiasm.

Though Belphie finds Ace's pranks funny, as long as the pranks are not on him or Beel, sometimes he thinks Ace pushes the limits more than he should.

Most of all, Belphie is amused by your boyfriend's brutally honest nature.

He doesn't mind you dating Ace but will get upset or agitated if the redhead tries to prank him or Beel.

Y’all I’ve been on a binge and who do u think would watch RuPaul’s Drag Race with Yuu??

Personally, my Yuu is sitting down all the first years. They don’t have a choice. They’re gonna watch this and they’re gonna like it. But I also think Cater, Vil, and Rook would join bc they would love the makeup looks and fashion ofc. Malleus would watch it with them if they asked, I feel like he would be super fascinated like “wow, you humans may not have magic but it seems you don’t need it to entirely transform your appearance.”

After watching like one season Ace just fully adopts the language. At first he tries to catch himself but then he just gives up. He almost looses his head when he offhandedly tells Riddle his pussy is on fire 💀 Cater and Deuce save him with an explanation bc Ace is to busy dying of embarrassment in the background and Trey is losing his mind laughing in the background. After that Trey and Riddle join in on watching, Riddle calls it absurd but he keeps coming back so obviously it’s not that absurd.

Kalim is another one that starts adopting the language! Except he doesn’t try to stop it like Ace does, he tells everyone they look slay and that their pussy is poppin’ and he has no shame. Jamil TRIES to stop this bc “Kalim, you shouldn’t talk like that it’s not proper—” it’s no use, no matter how many times Jamil tries to explain Kalim is on a roll and he is not stopping.

Obvi Jamil was dragged by Kalim after Kalim found out everyone was having movie nights without him :( Kalim was so upset he rushed over to find Yuu and was all pouty like “why didn’t you invite me too :(((((” obvi he is welcome to come so then he and Jamil show up with everyone else ready to watch some Drag Race. Jamil will never admit it but he’s actually pretty invested. He thinks it’s stupid and just one of those things he can watch and shut his brain off and he really enjoys that.

Jack doesn’t want to admit that he finds the show appealing. HOWEVER he does go to Epel like “so…. what do you think about that show Yuu made us watch.” EPEL DOESN’T WANT TO ADMIT HE LIKES IT EITHER he thinks it’ll make him seem more girly AND HE CAN’T HAVE THAT so he tells Jack he thinks it’s stupid and he can’t believe it’s such a popular show but he still comes back every weekend just to hang out with everyone.

Sebek goes because Malleus goes !! That’s it !! Not because he finds all the makeup looks pretty who do you think he is ??? Lilia and Silver started tagging along after a while just out of curiosity, Lilia LOVES it. He lives for the drama and def wants to try drag makeup at some point. He asks Silver if he would let him do the makeup on him. Silver says no. Speaking of Silver, he tries to stay awake but he always falls asleep on the couch and someone fills him in when he wakes up. Also Malleus does not get most of the dirty jokes and Yuu is usually the one left to explain them to him 💀 Sebek always tells them not to because “don’t fill his head with such vile and repulsive things !!!” “how do you even know what that joke means ??”— Ace. Sebek doesn’t have an answer for that.

Ruggie enjoys it. I just know this man loves anything messy. He would live for shows like Love is Blind, the Ultimatum, To Hot Too Handle. He just loves trash tv, not just reality tv but like really shitty movies too. He appreciates the sense of community that the queens have though.

Leona literally does not care he couldn’t give less of a shit if someone placed one in his lap he’s just here because the stupid herbivore wouldn’t leave him alone because everyone else was turning up anyway. He 100% falls asleep on the couch and then when he’s woken up just has to sit through someone explaining what’s happened even though he doesn’t care. Sometimes he wakes up and Malleus is just looking over him like “ah you’re awake now, this is what Daya said while you’re asleep,” and then Leona’s eye just twitches and he rolls over and goes back to sleep before Malleus even finished his sentence.

Azul is wondering if this is something he could turn into a business venture. He finds it fascinating. Likes the performance of it all, like the lip sync battles and the fashion show part. He’s wondering if he should implicate a drag night or something at the Monstro Lounge if enough people seemed interested, after all there wasn’t really anything like that on campus. Jade is pretty indifferent, it really depends on what mood Floyd is in if he enjoys it or not. Sometimes he’s just not in the mood !!! He’s just here for snacks and bc he gets to squeeze the prefect.

Ortho loves it !!! He doesn’t get most of the jokes and no one is allowed to explain them to him. Certain parts Idia covers his eyes for. Ortho really started tagging along because he didn’t want to feel left out :( he wants to try his makeup like the queens !!! He thinks everyone is so pretty and it’s abordable. He asks questions about mostly the references that the queens make like “who’s Beyoncé and what are the Spice Girls??”

Idia on the other hand is literally just here because everyone else is and Ortho literally begged him to come out of his room and join everyone. Poor Idia is stressing he doesn’t think Ortho should be watching this bc of all the inappropriate jokes and stuff, he’s also worried Ortho will just start calling people bitches and hoes. It’s ok Idia, he won’t, calm down. He’s pretty indifferent about the show, he brings his tablet or his switch and plays games. Will sometimes look up and spend a few minutes watching before going back to his game.

RIDDLE THINKS THIS SHOW IS RIDICULOUS !!! People are talking so crudely !!! He gets that shocked face that grandparents make whenever there’s a sex joke. Clutching his heart and all. He wonders if this is somehow breaking one of the queens rules because it FEELS LIKE IT IS but he can’t think of a rule that this is breaking and he is mildly fascinated and wants to know who wins the competition. One thing he does wonder about his Yuu’s home world society, in twisted wonderland anyone of any gender wore makeup and clothes weren’t constricted to one gender either. He definitely goes up to them and asks them what their world was like when it came to the divide between men and women. He appalled by everything he hears.

Trey likes the show. He didn’t think he would. He went in thinking it was going to be stupid but then after hearing Ace he decided he needed to at least give it a chance because that was just way to funny. Eventually he gets super invested but will NOT let Cater do drag makeup on him, it doesn’t matter how many times he asks it will always be a no. He thinks it’s so cool and impressive how the queens make their own outfits and stuff.

Vil doesn’t care much for the drama the way Cater does, he loves the makeup and the outfits and the HAIR. He loves the wigs. He acts like one of the judges and gives his input on each of the outfits, he’s super critical about it too and will get so fired up if he disagrees with one of the judges it’s actually kinda funny.

Rook is always backing Vils opinions !!! Adds his own to sense sometimes. Gets so upset when someone he likes is eliminated, he is fake crying and everything. Wait that might actually be a real tear hold on—

The house is mf PACKED and after like three weeks of this Crowley is getting suspicious so he goes over to Ramshackle to figure out what is going on. He gets suckered in too. Despite everything Yuu has a soft spot for the crow bastard now and so he is SITTING DOWN AND WATCHING THIS EPISODE WITH EVERYONE ELSE. At first he’s pretty peeved because what is he doing here sitting with a bunch of his students on a Saturday night at almost 11 o’clock but 15 minutes in he’s hooked and oh my god he needs to tell Crewel about this—

Crewel does end up liking the show and gets super invested but is not an emotional wreck like Crowley is. Occasionally he’s hitting Crowley with his little stick thing because “oh my seven yes it’s sad to hear that they didn’t have a good relationship with their family but quit blubbering you look like a fool.” Crowley is asking Yuu if this is the situation with a lot of drag queens and people of the like and he gets more upset when Yuu says yeah that’s a pretty common occurrence.

(I’m imagining that it’s towards the end of the year and there aren’t any classes happening, the last few weeks are just the entire school chilling because OVERBLOT OVERBLOT OVERBLOT EVERYONE IS TIREDDDD, the staff and specifically Crowley and Crewel are like family to Yuu so they spend time with them outside of school regularly. Who knows one of them might even be adopting them soon 👀)

Yuu has such a good time sharing something from their world with all of their friends and getting to teach them about all the references and stuff that are in the show. They’re so excited when the others express when they like the lip sync songs. They don’t have a lot of their home world left, they’ve chosen to stay and they’re happy with their decision and the life they’ve built here but there’s a part of them that will always miss the little things from their world they weren’t able to bring back with them. They’re only getting to keep a little bit of their world with them so when someone says “hey like that song” they’re overjoyed. They get a little sad when someone asks them to explain something they don’t really know how to, they feel bad they’re not able to satisfy the others curiosity and that there’s something they won’t get to the chance to understand now they’ve permanently moved to twisted wonderland. But it’s ok, it never sticks with them for to long because they’re having to much fun with everyone else.

Now Grim says he doesn’t like the show. And he doesn’t. He doesn’t find any interest in any humans dressing up and saying weird stuff and talking about things he doesn’t understand. But he does like to listen to Yuu talk about the show. He does like listening to the lip sync songs and he asks questions just so Yuu can explain them to him because he wants to know about Yuus roots and where they come from. They’re his only family, he won’t say it out loud but he loves them so much and he loves seeing how happy they get when he shows interest in their home world. He was so scared that they were going to leave him, that once they were gone he would be all alone again, so it’s the least he can do to learn all he can about them since they’re really going to be his family now and aren’t going to leave him.

Also you can totally catch Deuce singing RuPauls entrance song under his breath from time to time. He’s jus doing homework somewhere and then suddenly he’s got a lil wiggle going and he’s muttering “cover girl.. put the base in your walk head to toe.. let your whole body talk..” if you hear him NO YOU DID NOT YOUR LITERALLY DELUSIONAL WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT—

Ok this is what like 4 hours of my brain rot gives you if you have anything to add ADD IT PLEASEEE i tried to cover everyone but yk. Either way I think this is funny and I will be thinking about this for as long as I’m watching drag race 😋

Trey, Vil and Leona run a shop together, Deuce wants to join, Viz accidentally becomes his adoptive sister it's all fun and relatively low on the angst actually lmao

FNAF AU lmao this one has so much angst but you probably knew that already, inspired more by the pizzaplex/security breach than any other FNAF game, but a lot of the same type of lore

Coraline AU in which Viz gets to be Leona's big (half) sister for once. Falena is the eldest and treated with respect, everyone knows Viz isn't the king's biological daughter but they have to put up with her because the queen does, and Leona was the attempt between the king and queen to fix everything - it didn't work and he feels that. Ends up using an escape to another world to try and avoid that feeling, only to realize something much more sinister on the other side.

Biological Sister AU not super intuitive, seeing as above, Viz is Leona's half sister, but in this au she is also related him, just via the king this time. Don't ask me why I named it this, but it is what it is, she's taken in by the royal family early on and tries to bring it together. Idk it was a fun idea at the time.

Genderbent AU I wanted to explore Vizzie's trauma if she was around a bunch of other girls instead of guys and it goes Poorly but it's fun lmao

DnD AU b/c I've never played DnD and wanted to kinda learn so it's DnD inspired but the rules/roles aren't super strict but the worldbuilding is SO MUCH FUN (there are SO many dynamics all going on at the same time its GREAT)

Medieval Fantasy AU This is moreso my S/O's AU than it is mine but I wanted to talk about it because it also has a lot of fun worldbuilding in it that we did together (like the effects of OB and whatnot in this world)(also heavily inspired by DnD)

Arranged Marriage AU Viz and Riddle both have very overbearing, traditional moms and end up together against each others wills and have to unlearn their distaste for each other before they can start really working together to find ways to make each other happy

Greek God/Epic AU In which Viz takes on the Odyssey with Leona as her guide - he wants to prove himself worthy of the title of a God, and she will do anything to protect her people. It gets Complicated fast. (I actually have art I drew for this au lmao)

Poppy Playtime AU Really fucking depressing tbh, again, upon the perfection of Ortho's robotic aids (he never died, just severely incapacitated), all the other children that were used as test subjects were abandoned as half done projects and experiments that resembled toys

Dance AU I throw a bunch of the characters into dance. Vil, Riddle and Neige are on top but all three of them are having Gender Issues but in Big Denial about it.

Fairy AU My S/O also developed this one initially but I have a few different headcanons from them :D

it turns out that you are helping your fellow first years in their homework but in the end you get to finish their work and those people get to chill in return

hearing about you overworking yourself for the sake of others - this enraged vil that is why the moment he saw you - he immediately took you to the dorm

"vil-senpai? what is going on?"

"you are going to take a break and no more overworking yourself."

due to that, vil had rook always watching out for people who might take advantage of your kindness

and whenever you are done with your own tasks - vil would often invite you over the pomefiore dorm to relax and unwind with skincare routine and even with some tea!

seeing you work though is a different matter because if vil would describe your work - it would be magnificent because you are really good in doing the work

and despite being buried in many work - you still look very proper which he applaud for + probably the only person he trust to style his hair and it always turn out nicely

"all done! you look amazing as usual!"

"its an obvious result. but potato, i know you find joy in helping other potatoes but please take care of yourself. i am really worried for you sometimes."

for you, the pomefiore dorm leader taught you how to relax once in a while even if it means not being at the beck & call of people - and it is really fun to hang around with vil as it is like a new breeze came in and help you lighten up.

"hey watch out!" the moment epel turn around, curious why everybody was screaming, he saw the ball coming towards him. there was not enough time to dodge it so he just closed his eyes waiting for the pain. until -

"are you alright?! you are not hurt aren't you?"

from that moment on, epel swore to be your friend. he want to know more about you! how do you carry that big sword? do you train for a long time to use it? tell him more about your story!

"so are you a knight then?!"

"oh i didn't get to be one, i failed the exam. but i won't give up!"

after hearing that, it made him very shocked because you really look like a knight, act like a knight and you are pretty good in doing your tasks!

nevertheless epel would still cheer you on and sometimes join your training routine to help him improve in terms of strength.

never he would've thought he would have a best friend like you, like the pillar that always supports and aspire him to work hard

you two really became close and always find time to hang out with each other and vil approved of you because you been a really good influence to his dorm mate

it was like epel is your long lost sibling and the way he would secretly defend you while you help others in their problems really made your heart warm especially when he and the first year gang would sometimes give you a salute

Hello🤗! It's the anon who has a geeky mom!

Made it through chapter 5 and here's my Mama's thoughts. Warning: she cried A LOT.

She's kind off curious about Mickey and wondered if he could be important in the future. She got upset when no one knew who he was lol. "Mickey Mouse was my childhood! How could they?!" She cried. She also got really worried for Yuu and the Overblots. She's surprisingly quick to guess that Vil was about to overblot because of the epilogue from last chapter.

She was excited that the school held festivals because her school did that.

My mom screamed when she saw Riddle and Kalim again. She wanted to know if Riddle was able to get through with his mom. I should mention she wants to adopt the overblot victims.

She kept on roasting Vil throughout the chapter, especially whenever he acted mean towards Epel. "I'll show you who's a potato you Bratz doll rip-off!". She legit said that.

She thinks Rook's creepy 🤣. She also wanted Leona to sing.

She instantly fell in love with Ortho.

My mom, ever the music lover, started jumping excitedly during the audition. She even clapped and cheered for all of them.

She thought the songs were bops.

Neige and the Dwarves are adorable to her.

During Vil's overblot and flashback, her disgust towards Vil turned to empathy. She especially felt bad when Vil was being bullied. On a lighthearted note, she wished my dad was like Vil's dad.

She's so proud of Deuce she literally cried tears of joy.

She thought that Malleus and Yuu's friendship was cute. She wished there was an option where we could call Malleus MalMal instead of Tsunotaro.

She was kinda down when NRC didn't win but was happy for RSA nonetheless. She called it karma that Vil was forced to sing with Neige. She felt bad for Jamil though.

My mom legit bursted into happy tears when she saw Mickey in the flesh but that joy turned to fear and worry when Grim attacked us. "What happened?! Is Yuu alright?!"

And now she thinks Idia is sketchy. She refuses to believe Ortho is in on this. "Nooooo, not the cute robot boy!"

As a sidenote, she said that if I ever went to NRC, she's pulling me out immediately 😂.

Your mom can join the rest of the TWST theorists on the true nature and meaning of Michard Mouse who has lost all of his fame and extensive media empire in this world 😩 I think at this point the pattern for OBs has been well established (though the festival setting is certainly new and provides an added element of public exposure to the threat). djsvwjxnkss Imagine being some happy-go-lucky festival goer and you witness a celebrity causing chaos 😅 I think you’d just drop your cotton candy and run for the nearest authority figure at that point… Good thing the NRC boys were able to keep the OB contained though!

Yeah, it’s always exciting to see old characters return in later episodes your mom’s in for a treat with episode 6. We can see how they’ve changed since we last saw them. Unfortunately, we don’t get to hear of the aftermath of the conversation Riddle had with his mother, but it’s nice to just catch up with the dorm leader that started it all. (And, of course, Kalim is also present being a good boi 😌)

Mmm, I don’t think Vil acted the nicest (especially not this episode) but 🤔 I do think it’s interesting to observe how much harsher the criticisms made at his expense can be. I get the sense that people think it’s okay to call Vil out for his cruelty, but hesitate to do the same for others (such as Riddle), even when those characters have all done/said abhorrent things. I wonder if that justification comes down to Vil being the type of person who doesn’t like to show when he is hurting or being affected by negative comments (versus other characters, who are more overtly emotional or reactive). It comes with the territory of being a celebrity: you need thick skin to survive in the entertainment industry, where everyone will be judging you at all times of the day. It must bring him a lot of distress, and it also leaves him in a tough situation where he often cannot outwardly express his frustrations.

I don’t know, it makes me feel slightly uncomfortable seeing Vil in particular receives certain kinds of vitriol from the fandom, because I’m sure he’s also getting that in-universe from his “haters”. No matter where he exists, he must be facing intense public scrutiny (sometimes on very superficial things too), and I don’t know how he manages to deal with it. Like, even in the comment quoted, it’s not Vil’s character being insulted but his appearance (even if his appearance is totally unrelated to the situation). I guess it’s easy to roast celebrities when you only really get to see slivers of them in various media or maybe they’re seen as living “perfect” lives, but I don’t agree with being mean to them (or to anyone, really 💦). Confident people can still be hurt, and those in seemingly glamorous positions have valid issues. That isn’t to defend their missteps, but rather just me being sad about a general lack of empathy 😔

Let Rook beeee 😭 I won’t stand for this huntsman slander— Funnily enough, the game has teased Leona singing a few times before (most recently in Endless Halloween Night), but we’ve never actually heard him do it.

The VDC auditions were so cuuute 🥰 I really enjoyed the variation in their performances, as well as the characterization of Rook and Vil that we got through it. Rook is the positive judge that can see the charm points in each individual, but Vil is the more critical judge that can really “read” what is at the core of each person’s performance. For example, he mentions that Cater’s performance doesn’t seem to have heart behind it and that Lilia’s performance makes him seem older than a high school student. MY FAVORITE ONE WAS ORTHO THOUGH, his was so cool!! They patched his scene so that he sounds like a Vocaloid while singing, which was an excellent touch 🎵 (Great job with that one, Idia!)

Mmm, I personally don’t care for the songs in episode 5 (with the exception of Piece of My World, if that counts), but I’m glad that others enjoyed them so much! I feel similarly towards Neige and the Dwarves; there’s nothing offensive about them, they’re just a little… bland for my tastes. Cute, yes, but ultimately bland.

Vil and Azul have similar backstories in that they involve being bullied and then using that experience to fuel their efforts to better themselves and to prove their worth to their peers. I think this is why those two are able to garner sympathy (but not always empathy) from the fandom. Oddly enough though, I usually see people not forgiving Vil for his actions while also exonerating Azul for his. This… has always been weird to me, because I see Azul as someone who has done much more damage over the years than Vil has—and what’s more, Vil is one of THE most apologetic OB boys of the cast and clearly owns up to his wrongdoings. I think this difference comes from the perception of each boy; again, Vil is often viewed as harsh and overly critical, and not a lot of the general public can relate to his being a child star, so he earns less empathy overall 💦 Some of this perception also comes down to a misunderstanding of his reasons for Overblotting; I've seen many label it as shallow or driven by vanity when... well, that's not entirely true. He's ultimately looking for approval and validation of his identity and the work that he does, and that's something I think everyone wants. I just wish more people were open-minded when looking over Vil's backstory. Just because he had a successful career and a supportive father doesn't mean Vil didn't struggle to get to where he is today. Even then, he's not entirely happy with himself. That's not Vil being spoiled or entitled, that's Vil thinking he can be even better. It's that ambition and drive that defines him.

aiudbaidbabsd Vil's dad though 😫 the real OG... It must be hard for a big star like him to make time for his child, and yet he still manages to do it. It's also just nice to see a supportive parent for once in these flashbacks instead of people like the Viper parents and Mama Rosehearts (or not really involved in or aware of the formative trauma like the Kingscholar parents and the Ashengrotto parents).

When I first played through episode 5, I wasn't expecting Deuce to get his unique magic at all. Now that it's said and done, I think we can all share in his pride and excitement. We've followed him on this journey for so long, and he finally gets this big payoff and he gets to rub it in Ace's smug face.

Episode 5 is a big turning point in terms of Malleus and Yuu’s relationship; this is when his true identity is revealed to them and everyone else becomes aware that they know each other. As I’ve said before, I don’t find myself convinced by their friendship due to how little they interacted during the main story, but I guess that’s just a consequence of the writers trying to keep Malleus “mysterious”. I’m sure plenty of people find him and Yuu endearing in spite of that.

I believe the significance of Malleus being called “Tsunotaro” even after his true name and title are revealed is that it calls attention to Yuu just treating him like a normal person. There’s no option to call him some variant of his actual name because “Malleus” is inherently associated with big titles: the dorm leader of Diasomnia, crown prince to the Briar Valley, one of the strongest mages in all of Twisted Wonderland. These isolate him from others, and it’s of great importance that Yuu is an exception to this and treats him like an equal.

Haha, there’s always that initial hit of disappointment when the results come out. It’s good that your mom didn’t linger on the sadness and the defeat for too long and was happy that the nice RSA boys cinched the victory. Everyone singing and suffering together at the end was the perfect way to conclude the Pomefiore arc~ (Jamil’s deadpan tone and face were 👌)

cbssksnsn That’s a first 😂 I don’t think I’ve seen many people get excited at the idea of meeting Mickey; I feel like most TWST fans (myself included) are quick to meme on him or theorize, or they’re just put off by his presence at all. It certainly feels a little “out of place” with the aesthetics and the world (at least until it gets further explanation).

I was worried about Grim attacking Yuu too but 😔 it ultimately just amounts to nothing more than a cat scratch, which I found disappointing (as it’s really low stakes despite how serious the situation is framed). That’s probably a relief to others though, I can’t imagine that most would be eager to see Yuu and Grim in pain.

… Since when has every end of episode preview for the next ever made the next OB boy NOT look sketchy?? 👁 👄 👁 It’s okay, no matter how sketchy Idia may be, Ortho’s there to balance it out with his innocence.

Isekai’d into Twisted Wonderland with your mom?? 😂 I don’t think the main story would be able to happen if any sane, responsible adult was actually present long enough to keep the kids out of trouble looking at you, Crowley.

Heartslabyul

Riddle Rosehearts: 7/10

Would probably yell at me for breathing wrong. Reminds me of this one teacher I used to have, and I hater her. Bonus points cause we both like strawberries.

Trey Clover: 9/10

Very handsome, sweet boy who has done no wrong. One point off because he’s not real, and, therefore, I cannot date him.

Cater Diamond: 10/10

Perfect angel. I love him. Literally amazing. Stunning. No criticisms at all.

Ace Trappola: 5/10

Gives off homophobic gay vibes. Looks like he’d call me a slur, but only as a joke. Points cause I like his character design. He is very gender.

Deuce Spade: 8/10

Love him. Very friend shaped. I will protect him with my life, no questions asked. Cutie pie momma’s boy who can do no wrong.

Savanaclaw

Leona Kingscholar: 7/10

Would also probably call me a slur, but not as a joke. I’m not a woman, so he’d have no respect for me. The only man I’d let degrade me tbh.

Ruggie Bucchi: 15/10

The best character. He has done absolutely nothing wrong, and he is perfect in every way. I adore him very much, and he is the loml.

Jack Howl: 8/10

He’d make me go exercise with him, which means he gets two points off. Otherwise, he’s an adorable wolf boy who’s also a tsundere. I would adopt him if given the chance.

Octavinelle

Azul Ashengrotto: 4/10

He’d sell me for a singular corn chip, and tbh I’d do the same. He’s my highest kin, and I hate him for it. I want him to leave me alone cause he keeps plaguing my thoughts and I hate it.

Jade Leech: 5/10

I’m only scared of two Twst characters, and he is one of them. I don’t want him anywhere near me, and I don’t care about his stupid mushrooms. Points cause he has a hot brother.

Floyd Leech: 9/10

The brother in question. I love him and I’d let him squeeze me so hard. I’d also like to steal his kneecaps and lock him in a basement, but it’s all out of love.

Scarabia

Kalim Al-Asim: 11/10

Beautiful, iconic, adorable, perfect in every way. He is a precious angel and I would kill someone on his behalf. I hope he gets everything he ever wants in life.

Jamil Viper: 9/10

Was mean to Kalim, so he gets points off. But he gains multiple points back cause long-haired pretty boy. I also lied earlier, there are actually two men I’d let degrade me, and he is the other one.

Pomefiore

Vil Schoenheit: 3/10

I cannot forgive him. Idk what he actually did, but I cannot forgive him for it. Also, he’s too pretty and I don’t trust that. Points cause I like his hair.

Rook Hunt: 6/10

The hair scares me, but he’s not that bad. Unpopular opinion, but I like his hat. I don’t have much to say on him actually.

Epel Felmier: 10/10

The other character I’m afraid of. He acts like he drinks way too much coffee, and I love it for him. We’d be best friends, and I’d love him until the end of time. I want to run away with him and live in an abandoned cottage as best friends.

Ignihyde

Idia Shroud: 8/10

Shut-in gamer, so he’s automatically my type. Sharp teeth give him bonus points. Points off cause he’d probably call me a slur, but I’d allow it cause I’m gay.

Ortho Shroud: 12/10

I will protect him at all costs. He is baby, he is my son, and I live and breathe for this boy’s happiness. I hope all of his wishes come true, and I hope he never feels any negative emotions ever.

Diasomnia

Malleus Draconia: 7/10

Not my type, but I still vibe with him. I like his hair and horns, but points off cause he’s tall and I don’t like that. If he shrunk a few inches, he’d be perfect.

Lilia Vanrouge: 6/10

I lied again, he also scares me. Old man syndrome, but I’ll forgive him for now. If he ever walks into my kitchen, he’s getting stabbed by a spork, but other than that he’s chill.

Silver: 15/10

The other loml. He is the most precious being on the planet. I’d give him so many plushies. Hope he has a good life, and that he gets plenty of rest.

Sebek Zigvolt: 3/10

Loud, annoying, and stupid hair. I have a huge grudge against him, and I refuse to find him redeemable in any way.

Dumbass but hilarious to consider scenario.

Dream SMP however it's the Twisted Boys doing the roleplay.

They were recording it because why not and did not expect the popularity it would get.

Yuu is Wilbur. Especially with the cursed lore. There have been many attempts to get them to stop. They all failed.

Riddle basically has Bad's roleplay role and is quite proud of The Egg Arc.

Ace is Tommy and Epel is Dream. Deuce is Tubbo. Sebeck is Sapnap. And Jack is George because he's not that into the heavy stuff.

You chose who everyone else is essentially playing as. Just wanted to share this.

*Laughs in 10 steps ahead of you*

I actually have like a few pages in a notebook about this. The cast list goes as follows:

Dream: Lilia (Mainly because Diasomnia is a strong af group and they do fit the “intimidating enemies” vibe.)

George: Malleus (Mainly because of King George in that one arc, plus with the lore of Dream and George being very close during that time. Though Jade takes George’s role during the Manberg/Pogtopia arc)

Sapnap: Silver (I find it funny that Silver, who is calm and also really low energy, is Sapnap, who has very high energy.)

Tommy: Ace (Come on, it’s obvious. Those two would be friends if Tommy traveled to Twisted Wonderland)

Tubbo: Deuce (Also very obvious. Tommy and Tubbo are a duo as much as Ace and Deuce.)

Wilbur: Epel (MMMMMM, Epel going batshit insane is a)

Fundy: Jack (...furry-) (No actually I think it’d be really cool for Jack, who has a strong moral compass betray his own morals just to keep up a spy act.)

Eret: Sebek (HAHAHHAHAHAHA, IT FITS BECAUSE SEBEK WOULD TOTALLY BETRAY THEM FOR LILIA AND MALLEUS)

Niki: Trey (Baker :) Also it’s fitting that Trey would be the one to kill Ace)

Techno: Leona (C’mon, his attitude matches DSMP! Techno, and he totally would be an anarchist.)

BBH: Kalim (Egg Arc :)))) Kalim would totally let himself be possessed for the sake of Jamil)

Skeppy: Jamil (Egg Arc :) Also best friends with Kalim obvs)

Sam: Vil (I...have no exact reason for this. I just think it fits for some reason. Maybe because Warden Vil sounds really cool???)

Antfrost: Rook (Cats have night vision, Rook canonically has good vision. Also, that one bit where Tommy, Techno, and Tubbo made Ant into an S-L-A-V-E? Hilarious if the cast did that)

Schlatt: Azul (Slimy business man? He would totally kick out Epel and Ace lmao)

Quackity: Floyd (I MADE THIS BEFORE QUACKITY’S PRISON STREAMS AND OOOHHH MY GOOOODD, I’M SHAKING FLOYD WOULD DO THAT IF HE WASN’T RESTRAINED)

Punz: Ruggie (Both do stuff for a price, literally makes the most sense)

Jack Manifold: Riddle (Riddleland :0 and also he totally would help Deuce make nukes with his big brain and use them to attempt to murder Ace with them)

Philza: Crowley (I feel like this one is obvious???)

Ranboo: Othro ( :))) Othro angst where he remembers nothing. Deuce adopts Othro for the tax benefits.)

Puffy: Yuu (THERAPIST ANYONE????)

Karl: Cater (Cater documents his life a lot, like Karl documenting his own adventures.

Foolish: Idia (Idia is from the dorm based on a Greek God. Foolish is a God. Enough said. Also getting sacrificed for an Egg cult is tragic and hilarious)

Anyways, even if this is my general idea, your idea sounds amazing! I’ve written a lot of other DreamSMP inspired ideas on my blog, involving Yuu, Rook, and Jamil being Tubbo, Techno, and Eret on their way to beat up Crowley (Sam) for taking Grim (Micheal). There was also another time where I wrote Tubbo’s Checkmate scene with our classic quartet.

I like your castings, though! I totally agree that Yuu would be the one to make up cursed lore (”I gave birth to Grim, he’s my son, and his other parent is a tree!”) I also like Riddle being BBH, which means Trey would probably be Skeppy, and WHOOO BOY THE ANGST. Thinking about Sebek as Sapnap does make sense, and I could totally see him and Ace fighting early in the SMP. Though, idk about Jack being Gogy, since George basically sleeps a lot, which I don’t see Jack doing at all.

Anyways, that’s just my cup of tea. I really like this idea tho! :0

EN vs JP: Terror is Trending

Ellipses, exclamation points and/or question marks are sometimes used in place of dialogue on JP-server, as can be often found in manga.

Sometimes EN-server follows along, but other times new dialogue is introduced, like “Sec. Cay-Cay’s gotchu”, “Sweet Merciful Seven” from Fairy Gala and more.

Usually when EN drops or rewrites “master” it is when it has been written as either “aruji” or as “shujin”, but Epel is saying マスター, which is literally the English word “master” written in the phonetic alphabet for foreign loanwords, katakana.

The “-sama” honorific doesn’t really exist in English, so “Count” is good solution.

Thus far EN has translated sama as "Mr.," “Master," “O Mighty," "great," and "Housewarden," and is sometimes removed.

Original Lilia: “You humans. You have enraged my master…”

EN Lilia: “Foolish humans. You have incurred a wrath beyond your reckoning.”

In addition to another removal of the word master, Lilia isn't giving just any warning about wrath! it is brilliant wordplay: Lilia’s line is “gekirin ni fureta”, which is an expression that refers to dragons and emperors, adopted from a Chinese proverb (possibly from the Han Feizi itself (link).

“Gekirin refers to the 81 scales of a legendary, divine dragon, of which only one scale is said to grow upside down under the chin (at the throat). ‘Gekirin ni fureta’ means ‘to touch the upside down scale’, thus making the dragon violently angry. It is a phrase used to express that someone or something has made one's superior furious. The word ‘dragon’ refers to ‘emperor’, and it is wrong to use it for oneself or one's inferiors.”

It is a phrase that anyone can use to refer to their boss being angry, and all it means is just that: something or someone has pissed off a figure of authority. But Malleus is not only Lilia’s superior, he is also an actual king/emperor and a literal dragon dressed as a Chinese long who has become enraged because people touched him, turning this average, everyday expression into multi-layered wordplay.

Rook does not say “omelette du fromage” before taking the picture of Vil, Malleus, Leona and the party guests, together.

He says “cui cui” which I looked up and Google says that it is both the sound that birds make and what is said by French speakers before taking a picture.

…but, there were only Japanese-language explanations, and no English- or French-language explanations to support it, which was suspicious.

I reached out to a French speaker who told me that “I’ve never heard someone say cui cui before a picture, but it is the sound birds make. An older fashioned way to say you’re taking a picture though is ‘le petit oiseau va sortir’, which means ‘the little bird is coming out’.”

So it seems like it might be a uniquely Japanese-language misunderstanding of the French-language equivalent of the English-language “say cheese”?

Honestly I would get along best with Ace and Deuce.Definely reminds me of past friends I had.Trey because he will feed me and like the stray cat I am.

Sebek or Vil.Depend on the day.I'm a quiet person pretty meek and mellow.But Sebek could press the button.I can act a bit like Leona mostly a bit messy.And Vil needs to mind his business and to snarky for my taste.

I'm just analyzing characters at this point. And giving my little headcanons that explain their actions and habits.

Ain't that interesting? Sure I get along well with Deuce but I'd unfortunately would avoid him since he hangs around Ace. Ace's first impression doesn't not bode well with me since he stiiiinks of bully vibes and I'm not about to make myself a bigger target than I already am. I mean, you're in a college, where nearly everyone is arrogant and is full of magic, and the mirror just outed you as having none! There has to be at least one person in that college that wants to make you a subject of their fun, via messing you, malign your food float over your head cause haha you can't get iiiiit.

Yeah no, Ace I would avoid like the plague because of that shit first impression. Being that as it may, I'm sure he apologizes but that kind of shit doesn't just go away, that's something you can tell Ace must have been doing for years so he's got a lot of unlearning to do. But it also becomes obvious that Ace never had close friends, that behavior he has is the kind that comes from a person who wants to be cool, believes himself to be cool, but is actually probably a fourth or fifth wheel. Hopping around from friend group to friend group but never let's himself be bothered by it cause he's cool. In denial basically. So when he actually got put into his place, his loyalty becomes something fierce cause he's confident in the fact you're willing to be loyal back. First time he ever had a friend like that.

Ah yes, Treeeey. Loves baking, love feeding folks. Food is certainly a good way to make a good impression. Friendship through foooooood. Honestly, Trey would probably take one look at how much I eat(literally not even a bowl, like, half a bowl of soup or something) and go out of his way to "make too much" and give it to me. He's chill for the most part but does have his uh... Mischief side.

Loud man that Sebek, very loud. I bet he used to be ignored in group conversations when he was smaller. He'd start to say something but then someone would talk over him so then the conversation would turn to them, doesn't help that person is probably a full fae so they're more willing to listen to them. Hence why he adopted that loudness of his. You can't talk over him if he's too loud to be talked over. Still, doesn't take away the fact he's someone who's very hard to get along with cause he's waaaaay too much. And doesn't call human by name in the first impression.

Vil is strict upon himself and upon others. Now if only he would keep those strict standards to himself cause what's he gonna do if you legit just don't care? You don't need to be more beautiful when you're already as happy as can be. The beauty standards in the acting world are horrible as is and Vil is visibly trying to bend them, but he's still someone that conforms to a specific standard. Vil doesn't judge Jack for the way he looks because his body fits the build. However, when it comes to Epel, he will not tolerate Epel trying to get overly muscular because that wouldn't fit his small build. Still, that's Vil's standard, he judges what fits and doesn't fit. Let Epel be a muscular tinker bell! If he wants to get buff, Vil should be looking into how he can make that work, not automatically reject the premise.

In their school they basically idolize the villains the they have statues of "The Great 7" and dorms modeled around each one. In parentheses are what they are called in game. Each character is based off of a disney character from their stories. And not all of them are villains, or even people! The head of each dorm will be first and vice dorm leaders will be in italic.

DIASOMNIA OMFG. I love them sososososooooooo much. You don't know how much found family means to me like I would kill for them. They would kill for eachother actually. Lilia is like. who knows how old over 500 years apparently and he's also their dad. Both Malleus and Lilia are super old fae. Silver is a human and Lilia's adopted son, while Sebek is half human/half fairy. Sebek is Lilia's pupil and he's training to be Malleus's personal gaurd along with Silver. They also drew up together. AND fun fact about Lilia he's actually a war veteran and looked after kid Malleus (I'm telling you he's literally his dad). But they are so important to me like i can't even express it properly.
