When I first saw this sequence of panes, I thought, wildly and hopefully, that’s Shigaraki Tomura. That could be Shigaraki Tomura, someone who holds the quirk All For One and who, despite everything, is kind.

It reminds to be seen if Shigaraki Tomura can be stopped. As Deku says himself in Chapter 406, he still haven't come up an answer yet.

Since his first appearances, Shigaraki Tomura is infamous for being childish, talking about fights and battles as if he was playing video games. He's matured since then and his game metaphors have lessen in quantity, but his enjoyment of video games is still significant to his character.

But Shigaraki Tomura is also the one who created the League of Villains, a haven for outcasts and misfits. Twice considers the League the only place he belongs. Toga found life easier to live while with Shigaraki and others. The League is home to it's members, because Shigaraki made it that way.

Part of that is because Shigaraki Tomura is considerate of his teammates feelings and desire. This is core to Shigaraki - even as a child, he went out of his way to befriend those left behind, to include the children no one else wanted to play with. Underneath the layers of bitterness and rage caused by society's rejection, Shigaraki is still someone who cares a lot:

One thing I really like about the new chapter is that All For One kept Yoichi's severed hand.

Why? Who knows. All For One isn't allowed any real human emotions by the story. But still - All For One kept a severed hand, a memento of a lost one and whatever significance is embedded in that; it's evidence of what he's done - killed his brother - and a symbol of his new purpose - to hunt down the other remnant of Yoichi.

Years later, he would do the same for Shimura Tenko, when he gives the boy the hands of the slaughtered Shimura family. And he intends for them to have the same meanings and purposes - for Shimura Tenko to remember the massacre, and for that memory to spur him onward.

That AFO repeats this gruesome gesture with Tenko, essentially reproducing the same horror he experienced onto the boy who he intends to be his heir. This recontextualizes The Hands a bit - instead of just what seemed to be a sort of unique psychological torment imposed out of revenge against Shimura Nana's descendant, it's also AFO just raising Tomura after himself. It's still a incredibly fucked up cruelty, don't get me wrong, but now it feels less because specifically Shimura, and more because AFO wanted an successor that mirrors himself, down to the same traumatic trappings.

But of course, Shigaraki Tomura still greatly resembles Yoichi.

Overall, this panel of Yoichi does closely resembles the panel of Shigaraki from Chapter 221. Just— everything from the angle of the face and the direction of their gaze, to the position of the hand.

But based on Yoichi’s expression - the eyes, the slight smile, the whole demeanor - my first thought went to Shigaraki in Chapter 148, when he was telling Toga and Twice that he believes in them.

This is Shigaraki, revealing his face to Toga and Twice, when in the previous panels, it had seemed like he was insensitively ordering them around, without consideration for their feelings, telling them to work with Overhaul who had just murdered their friend Magne. But once the hand comes off - voluntarily, for the first time, facing them straightforwardly - we see a look that convey a lot of things - Shigaraki's resolve in taking down Overhaul, his trust in Twice and Toga, his sincerity in what he's saying. It's Shigaraki with probably his kindest expression in the entire manga.

It parallels the context somewhat too - in Yoichi panels, it had look at first like he was despondent, sad and weak, lamenting that he dependent and was unable to do anything against the evil that was his brother. But instead, with the face reveal, we're seeing Yoichi's own indomitable will and kindness, so much that he still sees the hopeful possibilities of All For One's power.

Both are victims of All For One, but both have always kept their strong sense of self and core sense and desire for kindness and justice.

If you ask me what AFO and OFA combined would look like, I have to say: Shigaraki Tomura.

So it’s looking like we might be getting the ‘AFO gave Tenko his quirk’ theory confirmed and I gotta be honest; I am not in favor. I’m hardly the first to take this position, both before and after this chapter dropped, but if I may attempt to put into words why; it’s that I don't think it can really add anything except reveal postmortem some new way AFO is bad in the best case & handing Deku a potential deus ex machina in the worst case.

Like, the best case result of such a revelation at this point in the plot is that it's just to make AFO seem more evil by making him the root cause of the Shimura tragedy, except…only in a way that doesn’t even matter. Like, this reveal shouldn’t change any of Tomura’s motivations or talking points; he already knows AFO manipulated him & hates him for that, but he also hates Kotaro, Nana, All Might, and the greater hero society for the role they played in his tragedy, and AFO giving him Decay wouldn’t change how much everyone else I listed deserves that ire. It just means that some of the tragic happenstance of the Shimuras that seemingly could've happened to anyone was instead purposefully cause by that jerk we know.

It’s like if we learned AFO killed Endeavor’s father, leading him down the path to become the domestic abuser we know him as. Thus the tragedy of the Todorokis would also come back to AFO...but y’know…not in anyway that matters. Endeavor, Touya, and everyone else involved still made their choices; AFO’s just the root cause of it all by sheer technicality. How diabolical, I might care if he were still relevant.

The worst case result of such a revaluation of course is that it gives Deku an unearned & largely uninteresting easy out to solving the problem that is Tomura's rage. Because if AFO gave him Decay, then he's actually the one ultimately responsible for near everything, if not just everything wrong in Tomura's life (even if, again, just by technicality in some areas). Never mind the rolls Kotaro, Nana, All Might, and greater hero society played in it; AFO's the real root cause of it all whose been manipulating Tomura for longer than he even knows, so he should just stop caring about that other stuff.

Plus it'd also mean Tomura doesn't exist to destroy because Decay isn't his true quirk (never mind how that's not why he thinks that & he never even put much stock into that quirk-identity stuff anyway) so he can just stop being a villain now please.

Yeah this all just doesn't seem like the most interesting way for Deku to tackle Tomura's trauma, talking points, or motivations.

Plus, like a live action Disney movie, the idea's kind of felt like it’s tying up a ‘plot hole’ that didn’t need tying up; that might even work better as a coincidental tragedy. Like; people act like this can’t be just a tragedy, it's too convenient, it has to be some master machination of the grand demon lord who…is already beaten, dead, and doesn’t factor into anyone’s plot lines or themes anymore. At best, to make him seem more evil long after the point we have any reason to care; at worst, to give Deku an easy out (with the side effect of making him seem like a worse hero who can’t save villains in Tomura's position without unique circumstances to make it easy).

Also like a live action Disney movie, this almost feels like it opens up a plot hole in trying to tie one up. Because as we know; Tenko’s circumstances are identical to Eri’s, down to the signs of their quirks being random mutations. When I said the tragic happenstance of the Shimuras we're blaming AFO for could've happened to anyone; I know this because it happened verbatim to her. So if those circumstances (just so happening to get a deadly quirk that kills their families, which just so happen to be connected to the villain who'll use & abuse them, etc.) are seen as suspicious, early signs that AFO gave Tenko Decay…did he or another villain give Eri Rewind? Almost certainly not; but if not then why does she get a random mutation-caused tragedy, while Tenko must have been the victim of some villain’s plot that's already been foiled?

So my point is: I really hope this is just a red herring. Revealing that AFO gave Tenko Decay kind of feels like it undercuts the Shimura tragedy as something that could've happened to any kid in Tenko or Eri's shoes; and I don't think any payoff you'd get for that undercutting is worth it.

We should instead get the much funnier revaluation that the man who brought Tenko home that day was, rather than AFO, a completely different man who Deku would coincidentally recognize: Hisashi Midoriya.

hi anon! thanks for sending this in :') im always so bad at posting these things, but i can def do this one. i don't know if i would classify them specifically as favorites, but more so people i've interacted with the most 😭

@justalildumpling : i don't even need to go on besides saying that this woman is my soulmate. "in another life" but we're gonna beat the universe and meet in every life, type of connection. the girl who has seen me at my worst and has still treated me with as much kindness and compassion and care as she did the first time. i feel like in certain ways, we're kind of polar opposites, but also the same? i mean, on paper we can be so different, but when we talk abt what we like and dislike, when we laugh together, it all becomes something of the same and she restores my faith in other people again. she's the person who constantly makes me want to be a better person.

Germany 1959

The ballroom was set, with streamers, punch, food, musical guests, and soldiers scattered around with beautiful frauleins on their arms. Whether they were the girls they left at home was the real question. Standing in the corner spectating was Elvis, who had a plate in one hand and a punch glass in the other. He was in his formal uniform, and his iconic pompadour was slick and neat. But something still felt incomplete. Sure, he had danced with almost every young woman who had arrived, but his mind kept wandering to the one in Memphis. 

"Private Presley, have you met Nancy?"

"Nice to meet ya." He kissed her hand as one of his fellow soldiers walked over,

"Pleasures all mine." The young woman blushed, "I'll go get us some punch." Standing in front of Elvis was a cadet who he'd talk to now and then when he refused to sleep due to his reoccurring nightmares.

"Say, what's a guy like you doing alone? I mean, you're Elvis Presley."

"That may be true, kid." He laughed, "But, uh, got a girl back who I promised to be true to." 

"What's she like?"

"Well, she's an..."

" A what..."

The doors had opened, and the chandeliers had begun to pick up on the sparkling of a sapphire necklace. Soldiers had lined up to take a glance. An army blue strapless mermaid gown hugged every curve of her body. This woman was something like a movie star, well she was, as well as a singer, and a guitar player as well, most importantly she was. 

"Ms. Valmos, you look stunning." One man said as he grabbed her gloved hand and kissed us, "Will you be gracing us with a song tonight?" Cecelia blushed at the kiss on her hand, 

"I'm afraid not. I was just in Paris earlier for a concert," she responded, reaching for a glass of lemonade from one of the serving trays. 

"Excuse me, Presley, for cutting our conversation short,"

"None taken." Elvis smiled. He had wandered a bit about the commotion. But he also wanted to bask in alone time in the corner again. Meanwhile, the dance floor was covered in a battalion of men and women waltzing. One was Cecelia, who had been keeping up with the tempo.

"So tell me, Ms. Valmos, have you come with a lucky guy?"

"No, but I was hoping to run into one." Cecelia joked, though she was serious. She planned to bump into A certain someone whose pillow she'd been hugging and crying on.

"Then I may have the perfect Rebel without a cause waiting for you." The cadet said as Cecelia giggled to herself, "Perhaps I'll introduce you."

"Oh, please do."

"And then I said that ain't how you load a gun properly-"

"Hey, private Presley..." 

"Yes, sir?" Elvis turned around, his heart pounding out of his chest, his eyes looking Cecelia up and down. He couldn't believe she was here and in front of him, looking as gorgeous as Lena Horne. 

"Have you met Ms. Valmos?"

"You mean my Fiancé ?"

"Funny, I don't remember a ring, Mr. Presley." Cecelia chuckled as she extended her hand, a pink garnet and diamond cluster ring on her finger. Elvis pulled her by his side and took a deep breath of his scent, dizzy and love drunk from it already. 

"I missed you too, honey." He laughed at her joke as his hand snaked around her waist and squeezed it. 

"Behave~" she whispered.

"Make me." His breath was hot against her ear and neck as she tried not to shiver at his suggestive tone of voice. 

"How about a dance?"

"Could think of another kind of dance." He teased as she blushed. 

"Elvis!" Cecelia chuckled, taking his hand, "If you'll excuse us, Cadet Johnson." she smiled, leading Elvis to the ballroom floor, 

"You were thinking it too, doll. And you know it."

"I was not!" she blushed, looking at him in his uniform as she bit her red lipstick-painted lips. Her mind had wondered what he'd look like bending her over in that outfit, with the hat on. Oh, how he'd drop and give her twenty. Their bodies were pressed together as they were Waltzing, 

"I missed you, Cece."

"I missed you too, El." She looked up at him, their eyes locked. Anyone passing by could see they were in love. As Elvis dipped her, she could feel the heat between her legs grow hotter than the blush on her cheeks,

 "Practing for our wedding, I see." Cecelia laughed as his heart fluttered. He couldn't wait to finish his two years, for he had a beautiful bride waiting for him in Memphis. Well, when she wasn't recording music. Or touring, or doing a movie, or a radio interview. 

"I have been." he then spun her into him. 

"How romantic," She blushed, her back against him as his cologne tingled her senses along with the suit, 

"You okay, baby?"

"Mhmm. I need some air."

"Need me to come with you?"

"In me would be better." She mumbled,

"What was that."

"Anywhere with me would be better." She lied as Elvis laughed. Upstairs, there was a balcony with a beautiful view of the stars and Germany, a nice breeze blowing, and a romantic scene one would've seen in the movies, 

Cecelia's hand had brushed Elvis's as he looked down at the 5"3' woman before him. Scooping her into his arms, he began leading her into a kiss full of want and need, love and lust, but one that felt like everything letters couldn't say. 

"Baby, I need you now..."

"Elvis..."

"No one's gonna see us, and I know you want me too." kissing her neck as she felt his cock through his uniform. It was as if he could smell her pheromones in the air.

Part 2 in the Aphverse Stoner Series!

Disclaimer: I haven't watched Season 3! I mean, I have, but I don't remember any of it other than that Blaze was in it-- And I just checked the wiki and he's a villain? Uhm. No, he isn't. Hatsune help me I'm going to have to make a whole post about that now... anyways, pretend Blaze is just like another guard Irena gathered because she just collects them like they're pokemon.

Blaze our beloved to start us off. Uh, pipe weed is really common in Ru'aun, it's actually a primary export. And well, Blaze is a pretty big fan of it. Once when he's smoking weed with his friend, he comes to a realization.

"Listen, listen. We use earth with the plant, fire by lighting it, and air to inhale it. What we're missing is water." I am saying that Blaze made the first bong in the MCD universe. Or that he at least came up with it and was credited for the original idea. These two are very proud of their idea and want to spread it everywhere.

Pipe weed is not allowed at the guard academy, and guards are expected to remain sober, even though alcohol is okay?? Doesn't really make sense to a lot of new cadets, including Laurance, who's able to smuggle it in, and hide it from Garroth.

Vylad does actually smoke pipe weed, particularly while on his own during those 15 years. It helps relax their muscles, and causes a sort of numbness that helps keep the calling quiet.

When he tells Laurance of this, both of them share it together at some point.

Dante used to smoke weed with Laurance on slow nights in Phoenix Drop, and even smoked it with Nicole a few times. He quit when he found out Nana was pregnant.

The number one smoker is Travis. His mom had a stock pile of it he found, enough to last years, and it's one of the main things he brings with him to Ru'aun.

When Travis and Blaze meet, they are instant friends. I don't know what happens in Season 3, but this is all that matters to me. They would be BESTIES!!

Despite being banned by the church, Zane is in a position of power so the rules don't apply to him. He never does it when he has something serious going on, but when Zane has some downtime, he'll light up a bowl to take the strain out of his shoulders.

A downside of being a Shadow Knight is that your lungs are much more used to inhaling smoke and dealing with heat thanks to the Nether, so they have some insane tolerance. Like, Vylad was smoking so much, and Laurance is never not frustrated at how much he has to go through in a single sitting just to feel something.

And Aaron? When he was a father? And a Lord?? Of course he was smoking. He was very careful about it, and kept it away from Jacob. And as he traveled with the rest of the cast, he was always careful to hide it from the kids. He didn't quite mind if anyone else saw, as long as they were smart enough not to ask for it.

Travis is not smart enough.

Also Aaron likes wearing the bandana when he accidentally gets a little too high so no one can see how bloodshot his eyes are. Irena can tell by the way he stumbles a little more than usual.

Zoey? Pot head. She's literally an immortal elf, she has tried every drug Ru'aun has ever had and then some. She stops smoking it as much when she's taking care of the kids, but after the group is gone for a few years and she spends more nights searching for a way to bring them back, she picks it back up to try and seem less stressed when people talk to her.

I feel like all Lords smoke just a little. Like, it's such a stressful job. You're constantly having to care for so many people, be a master of subjects you might not have studied, and who knows when one day you wake up to the news that you have to ready yourself for war. People need a way to relieve the stress.

Except Irena. She tried it once when she caught Aaron smoking and it tasted so bad and she did not enjoy the feeling at all. When she becomes friends with Blaze he tries to coax her into it, but she never caves, and he backs off.

LUCINDA on the other hand!! She's a witch! She's a bit of an herbalist! Does she know the perfect growing conditions for the plant of origin and how to cultivate it's harvest for maximum output?? You bet your ass she does!

Blaze x Lucinda x Travis polycule when?

The first time Lucinda and Blaze meet each other he tells her about his innovation of using glass devices to create water vapor that you can smoke, and Lucinda very eagerly drags him into her brewing room and just proudly goes "I have a cauldron!! >:)" And Blaze gets so excited!! He's already trying to figure out what he would have to custom order to work with this, but he needs to try it.

it's good to see you around again, I missed reading your long ILY posts, hope you're doing better too :) if you ever share your thoughts on the latest couple of episodes (including fp) here, I'd be super excited to read them! I'm really curious how you think the timeline is gonna go from here - especially relating to Shin-Ae and Nolan since it feels like they are the last pieces that need to fall into place so everything is ready for the post-timeskip story to go down. like you, I was so sure Nol and Shin-Ae were going to have some kind of reconciliation before he goes to jail but WELP rip 3 day extension. Poor guy though, Yui showing up in his hospital room must have been extremely triggering, it made sense that he did everything to get outta there ASAP. It's worrying me that this series of negative interactions (Kousuke, Alyssa, Yui) could've undone everything positive Shin-Ae Dieter Soushi Nana did, and now therapy during jail time could either have a positive or negative effect, so Nol is a Schroedinger's cat for now.... At least some things got cleared up and Shin-Ae is now starting to understand the root of the problem (= Yui) (and it actually really makes sense that she had to figure it out herself instead of Nol telling her - the boy obviously isn't ready to talk) so we made some progress.... But istg with this upcoming separation arc 2.0 it feels so much like we're gonna be back at ground zero after the first time skip. Fingers crossed they reconcile in whatever way before the big time skip though. we need a somewhat positive conclusion to this arc before season 1 ends, because if not then what was all this build up for, and why now? What about the realizations? the "convince me"? What about "if you won't let me have you"? If their reconciliation is only going to happen after multiple years of "conflict" between them that would be so cruel....

As you can probably tell, I'm still trying to get myself back here fully and figure out how to balance everything, which has always been a struggle ;~; I really may resort to telling my friends to ignore me and yell at me until I get certain posts written up so I'll stop procrastinating because there are SO MANY THINGS I WANT TO WRITE ABOUT EPISODES I WANT TO RECAP AND TALK ABOUT!!!! BUT THE ORGANIZING MYSELF!!!! IS THE PART THAT'S SO DIFFICULT!!!!!!!!

One of the great things about the ILY discord server is that we have this very constant, active conversation going on at all times so it's SO easy to be very present and active, but I also find that it means it's more difficult for me to regulate myself, or I'll have that feeling that I JUST talked about something and so when I try to write about it over here, it feels like a hollow echo and I know that's just because I was just having the conversation so that's just something I need to work on dealing with lol

But I want to answer this before we move so far away from when you asked this!!!!! As expected, there are FP spoilers ahead for eps 246 through 249!!!!!

I!!!! DO NOT KNOW!!!!!!! LMAO Like. GOD. I feel like quimchee has thrown us curveball after curveball and when we sit down and think about how long this period of December 21 and the post December 21 arc has been, how much the story has weaved around?! There are so many things that have occurred that I NEVER expected and, like you, it's just everything I thought has clearly gone out the window. Part of it, I think, is the result of quimchee having to change the arrangement of her story, and god I would love to pick her brain about the things that changed, since Nol's injury was supposed to happen at the formal itself, we never would have had this extended period of hospital time, and it seems like everything about Nol and Shinae coming to realization with their feelings would have played out in a wholly different way than what we ended up getting, so on some level I think this is partly that quimchee, too, is sort of throwing herself cureveballs in that there are things she knows needs to happen and she isn't sure where or how to fit the other elements in? But that's just my guess.

On the one hand, I do feel very "WHAT WAS THE EXTENSION FOR IF NOT FOR RECONCILIATION?!" but beyond Stalkyoo, we have gotten a LOT of good stuff out of this period of time. We see Kousuke facing his cognitive dissonance for, perhaps, the first time, and the revelation that Yui has been drugging him (and likely for a long time, given the way Hansuke describe the dosage Kousuke had and that it merely knocked him out), and more than that, making those connections between Nol and Yui and tea, and wanting to face him. I'm STILL proud of him for wanting to go back and see Nol again, even after he couldn't face him, even after Hansuke found him on the floor of a public bathroom hugging a toilet from the remorse and guilt and perhaps shame of the realization of the ways he has hurt people - has hurt Nol! - who didn't deserve it. We have seen that Rand and Yujing are, in fact, working on something behind the scenes, that Rand is facing Yui as a real adversary now, not just someone who has been resigned to endure her for so many years now, but to actually fight against her. The entirety of Nol's birthday celebration could not have happened the way it did had he not been in the hospital, since he would have had to turn himself in, and while maybe the original plan was that they celebrated his birthday with Minhyuk's coming home party, I'm.... not sure if that would have been the case?

But at at any rate, I do acknowledge that despite the fact that it feels like Nol might be back at square one, that he and Shinae are back where they started in 151, such significant events HAVE taken place that I think will still affect the narrative future of ILY. I still feel strongly that part of Nol's trajectory is coming to terms with the fact that he does, indeed, belong here. That he isn't someone who wasn't meant to be, that he doesn't belong here. He belongs, and he deserves love. He is someone, not nothing. I still think one of his greater arcs will involve coming to embrace this, and while the negative events - Kousuke, Alyssa, Yui - feel like they could be setting him back, he is now equipped with knowledge and feelings he wasn't before. It can't hurt him the same. In fact, I think part of why his confrontation with Alyssa went the way it did was because he had had this experience with Shinae, Dieter, and Soushi, it illuminated everything that was so wrong with his relationship with Alyssa, how neither of them really know each other. It's that sense of foiling that allows him to put his foot down and say enough is enough. Even before it was revealed that Alyssa had come with Yui, it was clear that Nol was over the visit. Don't get me wrong - I understand why he couldn't see that Alyssa clearly was not well, that she was uncomfortable, that she had come to him with no one else to go to, much as he'd gone to Kousuke in the past when he lost his mom, and I also understand why he did the same thing Kousuke did and turned her away. But the point I'm getting at is, it feels like there was a shift. That birthday celebration illuminated something for Nol.

So it's kind of like, while it feels like this might have undone the progress Nol made, it can't undone the revelations he's had, and in that same way, it cannot cast shadow on his enlightenment. He is not the same Nol he was a week ago. Too much has changed, he's become aware of too much, and as such, he is going to respond differently to what comes his way, and while he may continue to try what he had originally intended, I think the difference is that he's now been made aware of things that impact the choices he makes.

But largely I don't really know what I expect just yet. I think it's very pointed that the lawyer reminded Shinae that she has his phone number; I don't think that would be called out if it wasn't going to be important in some way, but in terms of how are we going from here to there? Unsure lol. I think there HAS to be a resolution of some kind, whether it's a reconciliation or not, because Shinae is on this momentum swing that isn't going to stop until she crashes into something or she comes into a force of nature that stops her. Nothing, no one, has been able to reach her or get through to her, and I know it's just because of how much she's hurting, but she's lashing out at people and hurting THEM like a street cat swiping at people trying to help her. She's so terrified of losing Nol, especially now that he came back, especially now that she gave him the option to leave and he didn't and it rekindled that hope she gave him an opening to leave when it would have been easier and he didn't which just made it worse, because so much more was at stake. She can't stop fighting she can't stop trying because she cannot bear what it means to lose him for real this time, not when she finally had him back, not when that realization has come to her even if she won't admit it. She needs him, so what's going to make her give up?

Something has to transpire, whether it's a reconciliation or Nol pushing her away and really shattering her heart or something awful like that, to bring her to a halt, because I can't imagine how we would move into our mini time skip to spring/graduation with Shinae like this, right? So I think there must be some kind of resolution. My foolish, hopeless self wants so badly to hope for reconciliation but esp after 249 I am SO torn. I have two thoughts.

a. they reconcile. She can reach him, and convince him, and even though he is so afraid, he is also someone who folds in front of her, he struggles to resist her. He told her to convince him and boy she can convince him and even though he tells himself he isn't sure if these feelings are real because what if it's just because she's NICE to him I think hearing her confess her feelings would tell him how he feels and give him the answer.

b. But the alternative feels like a parallel to Nessa and Rand, because Nessa, too, was hurt over and over by someone who kept getting her hopes up and getting hurt by him. Shinae gave Nol the opportunity to leave and he didn't, he stayed and doing so sparked her hope, made her feel things, they shared these tender, intimate moments together and forced that realization to come to mind, but for him to push her away again, for her safety, to make choices on her behalf even though she's told him she hates that and she doesn't want him to. Imagine her pulling a Nessa and calling him scum lfkjajkfkjfjkfaj ;A;!!!!! Imagine her so angry and hurt and resentful and saying awful things she doesn't mean and GOD I feel like it can go only one of these ways because what ELSE is going to stop her in her tracks?!

And I really want a reconciliation because parting like this sets them up for SO. MUCH. STRIFE. Because we know one way or another Shinae is going to end up taking Yui's offer and if Nol leaves on these terms, he would end up thinking she's following in Alyssa's footsteps doing so, not understanding WHY she's doing, not understanding that this is Shinae's only way of protecting herself, learning to speak Yui's language and play her game.

and idk I know I'm a hopeful optimist reading a webtoon that proves to me over and over that I cannot be a hopeful optimist but LMAO GOD I WANT SHINAE TO CONVINCE THAT DUMBO

I've said it before that convincing him doesn't mean they have to get into a relationship. Just. Reconcile. She's so afraid of LOSING HIM, thinking that once he slips away he's out of her grasp, her sight, for good, that she will lose the best thing that happened to her and I WANT THAT RECONCILATION. I want her to convince him, for both their sakes. So that he knows he has someone he can go back to. So that she knows he's not just throwing her away. So that she doesn't have to fear losing something so precious and important.

Am I foolish and hopeful for hoping for that outcome? Maybe, but it won't stop me LMAO because as delicious and angsty as Shinae and Nol following in Ressa's footsteps with Nol hurting her again and leaving her so hurt and angry is, I want to see them on that same page. I want to see Shinae convince him - convince him why he is so important to her, and that his feelings are real. That's the thing, right, like.... you can tell yourself that your feelings aren't real, but if the person you like confesses to you, your heart will inevitably betray you and respond to the confession. Nol fears for Shinae's safety but important puzzle pieces are falling into place. She has figured what he fears the most - and if she thinks hard enough she'll realize how she can use that to her "advantage", in that Rand has told her Yui will never let her go, that it doesn't matter if Nol leaves or not. It goes back to my oft repeated sentiment of them needing to be on the same page, to be a team, because his absence will not protect her. And between what Rand told her, plus her anecdotes about Kousuke's birthday and how Yui treated her even before the formal, and what Yujing told Nol about Kousuke being drugged by Yui, maybe, just MAYBE that conclusion that wasn't only him all along will finally hit him. I know he can't change over night, that he has so many deeply ingrained fears that won't be easily assuaged, but I have to hope that a confession from Shinae can convince him that the alternative is worse. Convince him to fight along side her ;A;

I go back and forth on this thought but I think this is strongly what I feel right now. That reconciliation could still be around the corner, even if it's just an admission and a promise to not push her away. Shinae is tired of people acting on her behalf, tired of not getting a say, and especially in something that involves her heart, her feelings?

Go fight girl and maybe bite him if that's what it takes ;A;

"Toshinori Yagi: Rising/Origin" Just that title. Embrace it. Take it in.

"Let me be your pupil." He doesn't even have a quirk and he wants to train under Nana's wing. Also, the multiple flashbacks throughout the fight are amazing (plus, the people have been wanting to know Toshi's backstory for ages!!)

"Superacid Injection: Pinky" Eighth move; Mina.

"Aw, just after rewinding some damage... You're dissolving away now?!" Toshinori literally injects acid into All for One. It's a brutal way to do damage; get him from the inside out. Toshinori is a just person, and he doesn't kill, but it seems like All for One just tips him over the edge just a little. He lets his attacks be a bit questionable because it's fucking All for One. Who the hell would defend his ass? Toshinori has smashed his skull to pieces and now injected acid into his body to dissolve him inside out. Both attacks are villain-esc, but that does not make Toshi a villain.

"All Might..." Again. All Might, not Toshi.

"I'm 'trash,' right? So much for that theory!!" Despite All for One being so damn certain he could get rid of Toshinori so easily, he keeps on getting proven wrong (and I live for it).

"Let me assist you." "Without a quirk? Ridiculous. (Quit following me)" "Please, I mean it." "Go defend a three-meter radius with that rusty pipe of yours. Good luck." A three-meter area is another way of saying home/loved ones. Nana's using her quirk right in front of him, because not only are they physically apart, but biologically as well.

"My family was killed a while back." ORPHAN TOSHI. Also, he says a while, not long ago. Chances are that it was recent, but he didn't feel entirely loved by his own family.

"Mine too. But I don't have the luxury to join your little quest for vengeance." Nana's too busy working as a hero to get revenge (something Toshi deals with later on).

"I just can't accept a world... Where those who take from others come out on top. And then those who've had everything stolen... Their grief turns to hatered, in an endless spiraling cycle." Toshinori could've very well become a villain, but he doesn't. He's not bitter or resentful. Yes, he's upset at All for One for bringing up Nana during Kamino, but he doesn't let him/it overwhelm him (with sadness).

"Yeah? And what's your solution?" Nana seems to lose hope for society, but then Toshi shows up.

"I want to make the world a place where everyone can live with a smile. And for that... The world needs a symbol." "A symbol of what?" "Of peace. Even with plenty of new buildings... And visible restoration efforts... People have been living in fear for a while now. Their hearts and minds are shrouded in darkness." The shot doesn't change until Toshi says peace. We don't see how fucked up the world he grew up in is until he talks about wanting to bring peace to everyone.

Nana looks at her hand. She knows she can pass One for All down.

"So you would put on a grand display of power?" "Everyone's got a tough enough time with their own three-[meter] radius. So yes. I would step up. A quirkless guy like me... Has no role otherwise." Toshinori was quirkless. He would've been ignored or killed, and he probably knows/knew that. Yet, he still wants to protect everyone. To be kind to them and provide the safety that he never had.

"All for One is even closer to U.A. now!! But he's veered off course!! He's pursuing All Might instead!!" We're shown why All Might put himself up and in the way of All for One. He wouldn't have chased anyone else, but he's fixated on Toshinori right now that he's lost sight of his actual goal.

"Fractured ribs. Full-body contusions." If his rib fractures are severe, the can cause breathing issues (like Toshi doesn't struggle with that already). When untreated, rib fractures will lead to serious short-term consequences (severe pain when breathing, pneumonia), but rarely death. Full-body contusions are bruises by direct and/or multiple blows (no doubt from Toshi flying through the air and some buildings).

"Respiratory malfunction." The one time Toshi has lost his smile (so far) throughout this fight. No doubt he's remembering the damage All for One did to him. Malfunction means it's failing to function in a normal or satisfactory manner (but, it can be fixed).

"I, too, was once brimming with youth." "The man we knew as All Might... Could not live his life any other way." Toshinori is out looking the very same rooftop where he talked to Deku. While Toshinori and All Might aren't directly the same, they're still part of on another. There's Toshinori in All Might and there's All Might in Toshinori.

"Is he even younger now? Maybe he's not aware of it? Better not probe or he might come to his senses. He had to use quirks to expel the Pinky Superacid from his body, but the strain is hurting him. Does taking damage speed up the rewinding process?" Toshi is still figuring out how to better fuck up All for One, not just emotionally, but far more physically too. It's similar to the Nomu incident at the USJ; when it got dire, All Might figured out how to distribute the force of his punches to override shock absorption. He's analyzing the changes in All for One because of him.

"Haha... Hahaha. Hahaha. HAHAHA! Don't stop now, Hercules! Keep it coming!!" Every. Single. Flashback. Is. Toshinori. Not All Might. But Toshinori.

"To be of service to others... What a joy! Fight on! Together!!"Toshinori bases himself on how useful he is to others. He doesn't say it's a joy to help others but to be of service. He still views himself below everyone else, like the same quirkless boy with no other role or place in the world. While All for One is physically de-aging, Toshinori is mentally, getting back in the mindset he had pre-One for All. He's selfless to the point that it's damaging (literally). His own life, his health, and his happiness aren't considered (rarely even by his friends). Because, to him, it's not important. It never has been. Toshinori has always had this sacrificial mindset. He's always been like this and now he seems worse than ever. He's happy, yes, but his own self-worth is at rock bottom because he isn't fighting for himself. He's fighting for everyone once again.

"Thrusters: Uravity... And Ingenium! Full throttle!!" Ninth and Tenth; Ochacko and Iida.

"You hear me?! To victory!" Not to the end. To victory. Toshi's victory. Everyone's victory.

"... He's fighting!" Aura Might is so pretty, and he senses that Toshinori is in battle. Not Deku, but Aura Might.

"All Might!!" "Midoriya, kid!!" It seems like they're able to communicate, or at least sense each other. Toshinori is still smiling (despite the fact that he's spitting out blood). He won't choose to give up. He won't give up. HE WON'T FAIL.

Im so sorry everyone! I had planned to post sooner, but I was so busy helping Nana, but here are some holiday highlights thus far!

Simon met everyone, and played a round of pit! Great fun!

He hit it off with one of the younger cousins, Jared. Dresses all in black and wears a lot of skulls. No idea what they talk about, only that he's been following Simon around like a little lost chick.

Simon fell soundly asleep right after having four helpings of pie, poor soul, people just kept handing him more! Normally he's so good at saying no, I don't know what happened!

Seemed to hit it off with great uncle Marmot too! They sat outside a couple of feet away from the main group. No idea if either of them spoke, but Marmot offered him a beer so you know he likes him.

Lectured Aunt Goldie about how to care for a parrot properly. Apparently she was doing it all wrong!

Cousin Eddie showed up, with his wife, and it turns out he invited his Girlfriend as well. There was quite a fight about it, and I'm deeply ashamed to say some people are taking bets on when the divorce is coming. He expected us to help him prevent them from finding out about each other! I mean, really!

Oh and Aunt Mineya put her foot in it again. Simon was quite upset about it, and I just about saw red myself. If we weren't separated I don't know what I would have done, but it wouldn't have been pretty, I'll tell you that!

Oh, but there's no point getting worked up about it now. We're going to be here a little longer and then we'll head back, and as always the inbox is open!

So here’s a thought: in the latest chapter; Kudo’s transfer causes Deku and Tomura to relive and mix memories of first meetings with/opening up to future friends. Considering how Kudo was the one who met with and reached out to Yoichi; do you suppose it’s possible we could see the rest of the transfers bring forth memories thematically relevant to the sacrificed OFA user? And if so, can we guess what these memories could be?

Hmm, it might be tough given how most of the OFA vestiges are...not the most fleshed out characters MHA's ever produced, but I’d like to take a crack at it.

~En: memories of Danger & survival We’ll be going in the order I roughly think Deku will shoot the vestiges over, even if that means starting with some especially basic ones. (I'll also be avoiding memories they were both there for since they'd be uninteresting.) For the case of En, the most fearful of the group; that'll be a simple set of times these two were each in danger.

For Deku; that could mean facing Machia or Redestro, although I'd also love him to see some visions of heroes like Endeavor or Star & Stripe coming for his life as well. If he wants Tomura's perspective, he should get his perspective on heroes trying to kill him. And there's quite a few to pick for Tomura to see from Deku; the Zero-Point robot, Muscular, Muscular again, Lady Nagant, ...maybe Gentle?

~Bruce: memories of loss & what comes after To keep things simple still, both of these are two moments (+ surrounding context) they each saw an ally die to a villain. The same villain: Overhaul.

Deku would get to see Overhaul kill Magne right in front of the League. Tomura would see him kill Sir Nighteye in front of his interns. Then as I theorized previously, we could get too see one or both of them experience the blended memory of beating fused Overhaul into the ground and taking his arms for great justice & greater revenge.

~Nana: memories of family & allies (Also, since the effect should be pretty strong by now, and also because it's interesting, let's suppose they may start actually experiencing memories now instead of just playing them in the background.)

For Deku; Perfect as it may seem, it's a bit early to see the Shimuras, so this might instead mean seeing some lower stakes memories with the League. Maybe their training with Machia, maybe some early recruitment moments if that doesn't step on Kudo's thematically relevant memories. Really just check out @codenamesazanka's post here for some great ideas; with special mention going to Tomura sympathizing with Bakugou because he was chained up at the sports festival. I'd love for Deku to see Tomura directing his humanity to League members like Twice, but humanity directed towards Bakugou would be a great foot in Deku's door. (Which of course means the best thing for Deku to see each such kinds of Tomura's humanity, for Deku to compare.)

For Tomura; Oh there's a plethora of choices for Class 1A hangout moments he could see. Although to be honest...I've not been the most invested in these moments, so I can't say which'd be most impactful for Tomura to see. I'm a villain fan, what can you expect?Although if I had to guess, knowing this series and whose memories we're talking about, it'll be something focused on Bakugou. Call it a hunch.

(Though it'd be nice if we did get to see Inko again instead. And I'd laugh if this was how we got to see Deku's dad at long last.)

~Banjo: memories of…okay kind of struggling here since there’s not much to Banjo. Honestly think he might get stolen instead since his quirk's such a lifeline & Tomura could probably steel more than one quirk by the end of this. But if he does get launched; maybe he could cause…memories of friendship? Or of high emotions?

For Deku; that might mean seeing memories of the League working together, maybe in Daika. Or speaking of Daika, maybe it could be Shigaraki’s city destroying awakening. Or maybe the time the League got ambushed & restrained in their bar and Tomura yelled at All Might just how much he hates him.

For Tomura; there are also quite a few of Deku’s memories that could qualify here. Maybe the fight with Muscular, maybe his 2nd fight with Bakugou, or maybe it could fittingly be the time Uraraka and Shinsou saved him from Banjo’s own quirk.

~All Might/Toshinori: memories of (not) being rescued.

For Deku; I think this would go as I described in this post: a mixed memory of him rescuing Bakugou from the sludge villain combined with Tenko wandering the street; resulting in desperately trying to pull Bakugou out from the sludge for hours or days while people pass him in the street, until he finally drags sludge!Bakugou to the bridge to encounter AFO. If he wants Tomura's perspective and see what drove him to villainy, this one's a big part of that.

For Shigaraki, this would be a far simpler memory; but an impactful one too I think. The meeting with All Might where Deku was told he can be a hero. How Tomura would respond to those words, I can’t be sure. Maybe it’d be as meaningful to him as it was to Deku. Perhaps he’ll dismiss the words as just an old dream he doesn’t care for any more, or acknowledge their meaninglessness coming from someone else’s memory. Or if I’m so lucky; maybe he’ll even think back on all the members of the League & other criminals looking to him to make the world they feel safe in and say to All Might “what do you think I’ve been doing?” (Probably not but I think it’d be cool. A guy can hope.)

~Yoichi: memories of their origin.

For Deku; this would obviously be seeing the crying Tenko crying outside of his house because he was abused by his family. Maybe also the events earlier in that day seen in ch.235 too. This would lead to Deku attempting the thing quite a few readers see as the natural conclusion to this memory sharing; Deku reaching a hand out to save the crying child…and it won’t work. I mean duh; this is a memory. He can’t talk to or do anything for the past version of Tenko; all he can do is learn, all he can do is watch the deaths of the Shimuras transpire and hope he gets something out of it that’s worth losing all of OFA.

Although, if I may propose one interesting twist in this: I’ve been theorizing for a while now that AFO could’ve taken the Shimura family’s quirks and hidden them & their vestiges in Tomura. This wouldn’t be my favourite way to bring that up (I’d rather they first meet with Tomura instead); but suppose that allows Deku to talk to the Shimuras as he lives through Tenko’s last day with his family? Could at least be neat.

And for Tomura; I can’t think of a more appropriate Origin-y chapter than chapter 1 page 1: Izuku getting bullied by Bakugou. Maybe they’ll also both be in the same place (we did suppose Deku would meet the crying child above after all), and Tenko could take the place of the kid young Izuku was protecting. I could see Tomura being quite moved by the image…before scoffing. Deku, his self-claimed ‘hero’ who’s been getting in his way and attacking his mind this whole time? Protecting him? And from Bakugou of all people, or anyone else Deku saw as a hero? Lol. Lmao even! Maybe if it was AFO; afraid Bakugou prevented something so convenient from happening though. But as far as Tomura's seen; Deku will save him from anyone & anything except the heroes who mean him harm. A bit like his mom & grandparents with Kotaro. But then maybe he could see Bakugou actually attack Deku, like really beating him up, and it could cause him to wonder…why? Why would Deku then forgive him? Rescue him? Work along side someone who’d treat him like that?

I don’t think any basic-arse heroic symbolism that hasn’t even reflected Tomura’s reality so far would really change his viewpoints or anything. But that question might nudge them. Might introduce the idea that the worst, most powerful people with no big incentive to change, can do so anyway. So maybe, just maybe, Tomura doesn't need to kill them and wash their influence clear as the only way forward for his villainous ilk.

Welp, at least it's reassuring to know that when the can of worms is opened Tigerclaw will take Donnie's side.

I really hope this encounter pays off and helps cass realize the truth later on, but considering we're talking about the same girl who agreed to release a demon to enslave humanity.... I think we'd better sit tight and wait.

I must admit, I'm scared, I have no idea what Galois plans to do, and I'm scared. On the other hand, Galois setting up listening devices to spy on the fam is something I've been thinking about since literally the first kidnapping attempt. I'm surprised it hasn't happened sooner. On the other hand, I wonder if this is how the bitches faction will figure out that Bella is working with the fam.

I've been thinking a lot about why Cass would decide to do something like that, and I'm split on a few things. My first assumption was that she just fucking hates people. Cass hasn't exactly had a lot of good role models throughout her life, her mom cared more about getting high than taking care of her and her dad has his own host of issues. And there's the whole systemic thing in play as well, she grew up impoverished in a poor area with a ton of crime, and all the bullshit that comes with being poor. I think I cut this but I had a line where she mentions her dad's mom being a really stabilizing presence in her life, and her dad had his shit mostly together until she died when Cass was eleven. (which is when she started getting taken away by CPS and stuck in foster homes while he got his act together) There could have totally been an event there, maybe her nana received extremely poor medical care and Cass believes that she would have lived if they'd been wealthy? I think about what a teenage girl her age with her background could be going through and I feel like she'd be incredibly disillusioned. She's realizing that society sucks, and she's mad. She wants to tear it down, and maybe she doesn't care what goes up in its place.

But I also think about the fact like...she's seventeen at the start of the show. A seventeen-year-old in a gang, who's been training in martial arts for a decade and sees this as the cumulation of her skills and efforts. She would be incredibly easy to manipulate. This is even before you factor in any daddy issues and longings for parental approval; the foot husbands could have told her to jump off a cliff and she would have done it. I mean, she would have done it anyway because she's Cass, but you know what I mean.

Oh, no, Gale found the bug on Cass. Was that not clear? I can go back and edit it if it was confusing, lol.

Memphis August 1968

"Sorry, we're late..." Natalya whispered, walking up the steps to pick up her son. "No worries, Nat. Elvis and I were still up." Cecelia mentioned as she led her to Jesse's bedroom, "What were you two doing still up?" She didn't mean to say it, but it happened, "Reading, Sometimes Elvis has trouble sleeping, so I'll read to him until he falls asleep." Natalya nodded as she smiled. Every time the Presleys talked, she wanted to have just an ounce of their love for each other. "Was he good?" She asked as Cecelia smiled. "Perfect. Anytime we're here. And you want us to watch Jericho. You let us know." Cecelia winked, "You mean it?" 

"Nat, when you become a friend with us, you become family,"

"Really..." Cecelia nodded, 

"Next week, the girls and I are hanging around here for a girls night,"

"And Elvis?"

"He's having a boy's night, though sometimes we impose." She chuckled as Natalya smiled and hugged her. She finally found people who made her feel like she belonged, 

"Thank you for everything..." 

"Of course,"

"Say, could you keep Jericho next week, say. Friday?"

"You and Jerry, huh?" Elvis smirked.

It was Friday, and Jericho was running around with Elaine and Jesse as Cecelia had been writing songs and business proposals. "Hey, honey?" Elvis said as Cecelia looked up, "You're not still mad at me, are you?" Cecelia glanced at her husband and then saw the look on his face, "Disappointed, yes. But mad at you, no." She took his hand and kissed it,

 "I'm sorry I peaked and found the gift you got me..." 

"It's okay," Cecelia laughed, "I shouldn't have gotten so angry." Elvis kissed her cheek until they heard glass break, already knowing it had to be either Jesse or Elaine who broke it. 

"Jericho did it!" was all they heard as Cecelia laughed, "And to think we wanted a third child," Elvis commented. However, on Audobond, Natalya was getting ready for her night with Jerry, which a part of her had butterflies about, and the other part said he was just a good friend, that was until he knocked. Jerry was standing there casually with the summer wind in his hair. 

"I bought Rosé." He smiled,

"I have strawberry ice cream." She smiled. as he walked in. Her house was enchanting. There were pictures of her and Jericho, her degrees on the wall, awards, and such, 

"I see you're very accomplished," He mentioned, 

"Yeah! An overachiever." She mumbled,

"Nah, you're smart."He smiled, "I like that,"

"Uhm, so you hungry?"

"I could eat," Jerry smirked. She wasn't used to compliments anymore, as he could see, but she deserved it,

 "So, how was your day?" Jerry asked, standing in the kitchen with her,

"Well. Jericho said he wanted to be in little league football." She laughed, "So I said. Well, I don't know, bud," her hands moving with her words, "But Jericho looked at me with those sad little eyes and," She looked at Jerry as he laughed, "Am I talking too much about him?"

"You're good. I played football as a kid, so if he needs any coaching, I could help." He winked, and she felt her heart race.

"That's kind of you. Jericho also has this father-son day coming up and..."

"I'll be there. Elvis is going anyways, so." Her knees were weak as she struggled to open the can of marinara sauce, a knife in her hand as she tried to pry it open,

 "Here, let me." Taking the jar from her, he twisted the lid and gave it back to her. It had been too long since she had someone do that for her, "Thanks..." She blushed, taking a whiff of his cologne as she was dizzy with desire, but she couldn't. They were friends and nothing else. 

After dinner, they were in her living room watching TV and putting her articles together, "I was thinking for the cover we have Cece El." She smiled as Jerry agreed, "Yeah, I like that. They're rarely on a cover together," he smiled, drinking his wine, 

"Exactly, then... Open with their interview!"

"Nah nah nah, page 7 interview, make the people work to read it." He added, "Page one should be all about you as an independent magazine, your mission." Jerry smiled as Natalya nodded,

 "You believe in me?"

"With all my heart, kid." He turned to look at her. Her body was on fire, "I-I see..." She blushed, knowing it was the wine, "It's hot in here. You want ice cream! I need ice cream..." Rushing to the kitchen she made a bowl and plopped a heavy amount in as she stuck two spoons in it. Jerry was laughing, he could tell she was into him, and he knew he needed to up his charm. As she sat back down and placed the bowl down she felt something wet on her body as she groaned,

 "Great... I wasted the wine..." 

"Not really..." Jerry smirked,

"What do you mean?"

"I could lick it off you..."

"You wouldn't..." She felt his tongue on her neck, "Dare..." her voice was breathy. 

"I might..." His fingers fiddling with the zipper on her skirt as she tried to fight it, his scent wafting back into her nostrils as she bit her lip, her brain was on fire saying that they were friends until she felt his mouth licking the access wine off her stomach, slowly, her eyes focusing at how he was between her legs, 

"You like that, huh?"

"Oh, eat me..." She blushed,

"As you wish," He smirked, feeling how wet she was getting, taking her panties off her as his mouth was on her clit, "Oh God..." Her eyes closed, and her body melted in pleasure, she hadn't been touched in so long. It felt like heaven just to have him under her skirt. She could feel his tongue lapping at her slick folds and her back already arching up to give him more access.

"Fuck... Jerry..." his fingers were inside her, plunging into her gushing wet cavern as he twirled his finger across her G-spot, causing her to writhe in pleasure, her legs shaking as if he'd had fucked her entirely, 

"J-Jerry!"

"Hmm..."

"Right there!"

"Like this?" Speeding up his fingering as he heard her gasp and mewl and moan, his thumb twirling her clit as he could hear her getting closer,

"Baby, huh..." That southern smirk on his face as he brought her to climax, crawling over to her to kiss her lips. The kiss was drunken, needy, wanting, yet savory as he bit at her lip,

She smirked as he winked, Jerry could feel his pants tighten at the tone of her words, as he watched her lick the spoon covered in ice cream Jerry could tell right away what she wanted, taking him from his pants, Natalya had a tinted blush on her face as Jerry giggled, he felt like a schoolboy again,

 "What's funny?" She asked,

"Watching you blush." He grinned, "Nervous?"

"I know what I'm doing..." Natalya smirked, taking him in her mouth as she felt him hit the back of her throat a little,

 "Let me adjust for you." He moved as she tried again, Jerry groaned as he felt the cool sensation of the ice cream on his shaft, she could taste his skin and the strawberry as she bobbed her head in rhythm to whatever song was playing on the TV commercial in the background. Jerry held her cheek as he felt her tongue on the tip slurping around the base, her eyes focused on him as he bit his lip. Natalya could feel him throbbing between her lips the more she slurped and popped, she was driving him crazy, and she knew it.

 "Nat~" He moaned, his eyes fluttering as her hands twisted around him, she could feel him getting closer, and pulling away she added more ice cream in her mouth to hide the salty taste on her tongue. 

"Shit... Did you just..."

"Mhmm..." She winked,

"Damn you, Dyer." He laughed, 

"You started it, Schilling..." 

"So, uh... advice?" Natalya asked. It was a peaceful Saturday afternoon with Rosa, Daphane, Carlotta, and Midge as Cecelia was in the kitchen grabbing drinks, "On what?" Midge wondered,

"Yeah on what?"

"So... You all know Jerry and I have been hanging out," Natalya said as Rosa giggled,

 "Goodluck I dated him and-"

"You messed it up by going back to Scotty..." Midge added, "Continue Nat," 

"Well, do friends lick wine off you and then give you mind-blowing head..."

"NO!" Cecelia interjected, 

"Says the girl who said Elvis's cocka-cola fell inside her back in 55..." Carlotta grumbled, 

"You're just jealous..." Cecelia huffed, setting down drinks, "Mai-tai, an old-fashioned, metropolitan, and a lemonade for me." 

"Y'all ever get drunk, and land with your face in some really good muff..." 

"No..." Joe looked up from his beer as Red and Sonny laughed, Charlie blinked and Cheryl smirked, "Yes..."

"Jerry what the hell..." Elvis sighed, drinking his Pepsi-cola almost as if he were disgusted, "Two things E, ice cream blow job." Jerry smirked as Elvis blinked at him, "Oh come on E, the number of times I've walked in on you and Cece on set,"

"Well was it with Nat..." He asked as Jerry's smile widened, "Hell yeah, my boy, my boy," Elvis smirked. 

"I mean it kinda fell in my mouth..." Natalya blushed, "Sure it did." Cecelia laughed as the rest of the girls did, "But, it felt so good like I need more of it."

"Southern men are like that," Rosa added as Daphane agreed, 

"Really?"

"Married nine years with two kids, yes." Cecelia chuckled as Carlotta sighed. It wasn't that she didn't like this talk. She just didn't like her talking about Elvis,

 "Carlotta, you okay?" Rosa asked

"Yeah..." She nodded in response, 

"So, I invited Jerry to the kid's father-son lunch," Natayla smiled as the girls grinned, 

"And..." Midge smirked,

"He invited himself. I know I keep saying Jerry and I are friends but..."

"But E, There's something about her," Jerry smiled, "She's so amazing, and I wanna do anything to keep her happy," Jerry said as Elvis nodded,

 "Well, then do so." He shrugged. The men then stopped talking as they watched the kids playing football. Jerry watched Jericho who was struggling as he walked over to him, 

"Jesse I'm not good at it ok..."

"Yes, you are." Jesse smiled,

"No, he's not." Elaine teased holding the ball, 

"Is too!"

"Is too!"

"Hey, what's going on here?" Jerry asked squatting to their level, 

"I'm not good at football." Jericho pouted, "So, you're gonna quit before you start?" Jerry asked as Jericho shook his head in agreement, 

"No, see things like this take practice..." He smiled, 

"They do?"

"Yes, Jesse they do."He sighed as he then turned to face Jericho, "Listen, we don't give up okay, no matter how hard anything is, we don't give up."

"Okay..." Jericho nodded,

"So you know RCA's having a gala and-" Cecelia paused as she looked out in the backyard and saw the boys playing football, "Did Jerry just tackle Elvis..." Cecelia turned to look at Natalya, "I find that attractive..." Natalya smirked, the two walking outside to watch, "FOUL!"

"What Cheryl that ain't a foul!" Elvis grumbled,

"That's ten points to team Hound Dog," Cheryl smirked, 

"Yes!" Jericho grinned high-fiving Jerry, 

"You two wanna be cheerleaders?" Elaine asked 

"Sure why not!" Natalya smiled, the rest of the women stood by the fence and watched, the final round was getting heated, and team Tiger Man was losing horribly, "Okay team, here's the play, Jericho you're going to take down Charlie, I'll throw the ball and Jesse..."

"I'm gonna take down my papa,"

"Exactly,"

"What if I can't..." Jericho got nervous, "Then be like Joshua and take down that wall..." Jerry ruffled up his hair as he laughed, 

"Okay," Jericho winked. The game was getting intense the girls were worried as Elvis twisted his ankle and Jerry on the ground, it was left to Jericho to sprint the ball to the other side, 

"GO JERICHO GO!!!" Natalya shouted as he carried it to the other side, 

"I DID IT! MAMA! MR. JERRY I DID IT!" Jericho grinned as Jerry picked him up on his shoulders "Yeah you did!" Jerry smiled, Natalya's heart fluttered as she almost kissed Jerry,

"Honey!"

"Oh, dear are you okay!" Cecelia ran to help Elvis up, "Mmhmm, Spranged my damn ankle," He sighed,

 "My poor baby." She grinned, "Can I get you anything..."

"A bath with you in it..." He winked, 

"Are they always like that..." Natalya whispered,

"Yeah..." Jerry laughed,

Chapter 101 thoughts

I found this chapter to be kinda uneventful (which is great for me seeing as I'm still reeling from the last two), but I still have a few things I wanted to talk about. Spoilers under the cut.

It seems like Kazuma has calmed down and shaken off GGS for the time being, but I don't think we're totally out of the woods yet. His numerous death flags aside, he got smacked at the end of a pretty big chapter. Not only was it the 100th, it was the start of the final arc. Plus Mizuchi said she meant business when she got him, which also means...She wasn't aiming to kill when she attacked heaven? Even though she's covered in blood from that? She put her hand through a whole guy.

I think Kazuma's bought himself some time, so while I'm less worried I'm not ready to be optimistic about his future. Because in thinking about it, more occurs to me: Whatever happens to Kazuma at the end of the series may likely indirectly affect Yukine and Nana, as well. They're all hafuri, they're all nora, they've all been hit by GGS. If Yato has to unname Kazuma to save his life, what will happen if trash dad revokes the name of Hagusa? The name Yato gave Yukine is cracked through, so it follows he'd also have to release Yukine to save him. If Nana isn't impervious to GGS like we previously assumed, Bishamon would have to unname her to save her life.

For now, it's kind of looking like the three of them will all share the same fate, whether that's a good or bad thing. I can't explain it, really, but they're all pretty similar to one another and all going through the same thing. In any case, I'm 99.9% confident Yukine won't be dying (again) in this series as it would serve no purpose, narratively or otherwise, so with any luck neither will Kazuma :^)

Anyway, considering trash dad's reaction to Mizuchi implying she was holding back, can't wait for him to find out she's been getting the Hiyori Therapy Treatment. I'm sure he's going to be thrilled to hear that. Kick his ass, girl.

"This has been quite a day" "And it's about to get worse" reminded me that the events of the last, like...15 chapters have all been happening in a single day, and probably the rest of the series will continue to happen on this day. Oh, boy. That makes me exhausted to think about. Everyone needs a nice, long nap. Even trash dad! But his can be in hell <3

Speaking of, more Father backstory crumbs, and they're just as confusing as the last few times. It looks like Kaya was someone who helped heal him after he nearly died, and he returned the favor to the rest of the village after coming back from Yomi, so they all started worshipping him.

I guess the thing that's confusing me is that this story is being told by someone who (a) wasn't there for any of the events he's describing and (b) views Father in a much more positive light than the rest of the cast. How do we know that this is true, and not just what Father has made them believe?

I know we're all pointing and laughing at bald Father but I really do wonder why he didn't have hair. Did he shave it because of his faith? Yet it doesn't seem like he really believes in Buddhism, despite dressing the part. Maybe it was just a way to make himself seem harmless/trustworthy, yet he seemed to have dropped the disguise at some point anyhow because he was shown with a full head of hair in Yomi.

Anyway, Take has finally grown bored of listening and wants to hit things with his sword. (Relatable.) I think either he will be physically stopped, by Ebisu or the gravekeeper, or his attack will trigger some kind of booby trap. They're in a very weird, liminal space, and I would not at all be surprised if Father had something in place to prevent people from killing him once they found it--after all, a previous incarnation of Ebisu visited there and died.

I also wonder if Father could be alerted to someone trying to attack his grave and make his way there. Guess we'll see!
