One thing of the things I don't like about Kaimana is just how much they would get along with Gortash. Like- they're both insanely smart people who manipulate others into getting what they want, and Kaimana would realistically ally with Gortash because he's more sensible than Orin.

But then again, Kaimana is a Midwinter Child(Basically a child of Auril), and Gortash is Bane's Chosen, so their Gods would probably want them to be at each other's throats

Laying back against a chair with their back to your chest, their legs spread and draped over yours, hips tilted just right so that each egg they lay falls gently into a container picked out just for them. Kissing their cheek, their ear, their neck, their shoulder, whispering encouragement and praise as they push each precious egg out into the world. You don’t know if any of them are viable, you won’t for a while— you hope so, but it matters less than your precious mate does in this moment. You run your hand gently over their belly, working to soothe their contractions and feeling the many eggs still deep within them. If it helps, maybe your hand will venture further down between their legs to stroke them through the discomfort, to feel them stretch around each egg as it descends, listening as their labored breaths ease with the comfort and pleasure you work to bring them.

Kaimana accepts gifts of well-treated bones , salt water , sea glass , taxidermy , & surviving another day .

In life , Kaimana was an asian man , living in [during] 1993 - 2026 as a fisherman & chef . They’d always found the beauty in death & held high regard on respecting the dead . In death he is around 600 years old and is the youngest god before The Misery .

Glows in the dark .

Kaimana doesn’t mind Melo , but is generally neutral toward her . They are the quietest god & can be seen as eery & cold , though he means no harm .

God Pillars - Adventures w/ 9

Pillars depend on how many souls a god watches over [and their strength]. Every soul is guided to their regime , one way or another . The travelors either take the soul & guide them to the home best for them , or they will be trapped in the Ashen Sea (like Misery) until a god finds them there .

Pillar 1 - Contains gods with the most souls & highest power .

Pillar 2 - Contains the most souls regardless of power .

Pillar 3 - Contains a lower soul count but higher power [can be above or below Pillar 1].

Pillar 4 - Contains a lower soul count regardless of power .

Pillar 5 - Lowest pillar - New gods regardless of power .

Power - The strength of a soul . Souls with a higher power are more likely to reform as gods .

Reform - The evolvement of a soul from [__] to [a] god .

Regime - The space a god controls / watches over . These are pockets [of space] in the realm of souls that souls either live in or go to . For example , the lines of floating islands based on where you lived in life (Misery’s home in death) , & the marketplace (Arier’s second regime , accessible to all .)

Ashen Sea - A sea of sludge that souls can find themselves trapped in when not following a guide . It’s dark , disorientating , & it makes it hard for souls to “come to” & recreate their form .

First month of the New Year and I've got a lot of fun ideas and plans for 2024! Let's dive right in!

XMACX MONTHLY UPDATES AND "COVERS"

First off, I'm introducing XMACX MONTHLY! It'll be a public post that -- ideally -- goes out on the first of every month. It'll include the schedule and plan for the coming month along with a cover image! I really miss drawing monthly character illustrations and I thought it'd be fun to also include non-patrons in polls so here's what I was thinking:

Everyone gets a chance to vote on the cover model for next month's issue, but patrons can vote on the outfit and/or theme for the cover!

For now, the characters I'd like to focus on drawing are my OCs, so the options for cover models will be limited to my OC roster. I have so many! I'd like to shine a light on them some time... And I was thinking, since magazines typically have "cover stories", OC Lore posts can be about the cover model! What are OC Lore posts? This leads me into my next topic...

TIER CHANGES

Here's what I'll be offering for each tier:

Pineapple Slices (3 USD)

Vote in monthly theme/character outfit polls

Digital downloads - wallpaper of the monthly cover model image and/or current visual novel build

Name in credits (must be patron during release month)

WIP/Sketch Dump at the end of each month before socials

Big Juicy Pineapple (5 USD)

All previous rewards PLUS:

OC Lore posts - the "cover story". It might include a character interview or some tidbit about the cover model

Art Process - a video, maybe some thoughts and commentary

NSFW/Spicier/Alternative version of cover model image - you got to vote for their outfit, BUT now you potentially also get to see them with their clothes off LMAO

PROJECT LINE UP

Last year was a pretty busy year for me due to a lot of family stuff, work, and travel. I didn't have as many opportunities as I would have liked to draw my OCs and work on my personal projects. This year, I'll be cutting back on commissions and taking on other projects so I can focus more on my dreams of creating and sharing original stories. Here's the order in which I'd like to work on projects and a lil blurb about each:

Froot Basket: Dark Chocolate Voiced Update

Currently, I'm still working on adding the voiced lines and new artwork to Froot Basket: Dark Chocolate. Tentative release date will be some time in March for the public, some time in February for patrons. 

Froot Basket White

The third and last installment of the Furuta Basketball "Froot Basket" series. It will be from Jordan's perspective and will be a direct sequel to Froot Basket Valentine. I'd like this project to be released episodically -- one new route every month or two, 7 routes total. I'm considering making it fully voiced...

Fleeting

My BL scifi horror visual novel! It follows Cadet Masa Takeshiro. It's been a while since I've worked on this project and I'd like to update the demo with everything new I've learned in the last few years. A "face lift" if you will in almost all aspects including writing and UI.

"Kaimana Comic"

It is currently unnamed but in-universe time-wise, it picks up some time after Fleeting. I don't expect to publish the comic at all this year. I'd just like to start thumbnailing it.

Other Projects

I have some other smaller projects like that Dogsitter one I was working on. I'm saving those for when I get frustrated. Those will be my "cool off" projects.

Anyways, here's some very brief intros to my new Splat OCs so if I start talking about them you aren't completely lost. Behold:

Ripley (left, they/she) is the new Agent 3. Professional dumpster-diver, scrap collector, and guardian of one (1) small fish. Often supplies stuff to Antonio (middle, he/him), who runs an illegal radio station on the outskirts of Splatsville, mostly for the fun of it. He hates gender norms. Both of them are in a poly relationship with Susan (right, she/her), the resident country girl. She's really tall, an anarchist, and thinks that you should be able to dual wield Rapid Blasters.

Manco (left, any pronouns but preferably they/them) is basically still an excitable dinosaur kid. Goes on digs in the Splatlands desert a lot. Trilingual and prone to infodumps. Blake (middle, he/him) is the squad's weed dealer. Somehow both a prep and a hippie. Basically good at nothing except cooking and the Hydra Splatling. Milo (right, xe/xem) is the type of person who watched The Matrix far too much and then decided to brand xemself as a hacker. Is xe actually good at it? Who knows?

Wanda (left, she/her) and Oscar (middle, he/him) are identical twins. Oscar's a bassist, a birdwatcher, and a complete idiot. Wanda's a drummer, a trainspotter, and probably the best Salmon Run worker of the whole squad. They regularly lob insults at each other. Kaimana (right, he/they), Kai for short, is a germophobic wreck. He had his Flingza Roller modified to pump disinfectant into it. Very ambitious other than that (life goal: get rich).

Somebody once said something about Kai and Shark Hybrid Darling. Them or just a run of the mill sea monster darling who's just as if not more of a thembo as Shark Darling would work beautifully for this - Daeling packing two of those things would put Kai in some serious danger so maybe we'll stick with sea monster..... Darling has zero care how other view them so they'll happily swim around or walk on shore in their full glory for all to see. They can't figure out why Kai won't make eye contact with them despite their attempts.

Holy shit - what if - every year or so a virgin sacrifice is given to Sea Monster Darling to do with as they please. He almost feels bad for the human, but it's really none of his concern. He has his own priorities and he can't be going around saving any random human's....... Good lord, look at the size of that thing? Sea Monster Darling rises from the rocks and all Kai can focus on is that gigantic.....enormous.....oh fuck, he's drooling.

That human needs to get out of his way because he saw them first. He's a virgin, came from the sea so he already has something in common with darling, he's looking to start a big family with the right person, and he came probably handle darling leagues better than some land dweller- Kai would be on that rock with his legs spread the second Darling pops out of the water if someone had told him sooner

Theres a chance darling may devour or play with their sacrifices, but there's another that they may pity the mortals thrown at them and whisks them away off to some island where they will be safe from those who casted them anyway. Kaimana is gushing from this revelation as it shows a somewhat nurturing side he prayed they had. Even if Darling wanted to mate with this humans they're much too small... Our seahorse boy is different from the rest as his body is more willing and likely to be compatible with Darling's.

Sea Monster Darling: Are you hurt?
