hey so would anyone be interested in a small theater group located in central alabama? (minor friendly with a chaperone) most likely renting a studio on the weekends in Birmingham! we could have play rehearsals and make the costumes ourselves, make the backdrops- record the final product and just have fun! it would be entirely working off of donations/fundraisers we do (or ticket sales, if we ever decide to do a live production!) I was thinking for a first musical, we could to Ride the Cyclone or Be More Chill!! so far we have 3 people in the discord, so DM me if this is something that interests? you? or if you just want more details!!
(ps, for safety, there will be at LEAST 3 video calls through zoom/discord before we ever do a first meet-up!)

Do not miss ‘Circuit House’ a marathi play directed by Vijay Kenkre, presented by Bhumika Theatre
Circuit House directed by Vijay Kenkre and presented by Bhumika Theatre Plotics makes for strange bedfellows they say. The minister in the play “Circuit House” takes this quite literally when he plans to get cozy, with his political rival lady secretary at the Circuit House. Just as the couple is trying to begin their secret rendezvous a dramatic event throws their life literally topsy…

can’t think of anything to say other than it was everything I could have ever expected and wanted and hoped for. seeing them perform truly is an electric experience and I am so, so grateful I got to be there. I’ve never felt such overflowing joy and love in one room before and that truly is down to what a one-of-a-kind group Starkid is. I’m so happy and a little emotional that it’s over but like it’s sung in days of summer, “don’t wanna see you go but it’s not forever, not forever” ⭐️💜

This is adorable. #Fanboy might also be my favorite tag that Georgia has used in a long, long time. It's so earnest and geeky, yet so perfect. David is a Michael fanboy, through and through, and doesn't need anything beyond a picture with the Nye poster for us to see exactly how he feels. That we also get the dimple on his cheek working overtime in this picture is just a delightful bonus...

I was taking a school final exam (like A-levels) in Math, which was held by a medieval-ish theatre group. First assignment was to make an equation from a very vague, long text. Guess I failed because I didn't have the right pen.

Anyways l haven’t seen anyone talk about this yet but Gross Prophets is going to be the first musical in this fandom with AN ALL-WOMEN SONGWRITING TEAM!
(In fact, I think it’s the first major project in this fandom of any kind with one????)
Don’t get me wrong, I love all of our Musical Daddies to the moon and back, but this is still huge! It took us fifteen fecking years but we might actually do it, y’all!!!
Angela and Ali are awesome so please go support the Tinlightenment kickstarter AND MAKE THIS HAPPEN!!!

the obvious double standard with which we as a society treat amab nonbinary people and trans women who don't fit the level of feminity that they're expected to is actually disgusting.

It seems we need to have a little chat about theater etiquette, especially concerning "notes"
You do not say a singular bad word about the show until you are in the car on your way home in private. If you're taking public transportation, not until you get home. Not a word.
I wrote little notes (a thing i do as a form of my appreciation for the arts to ensure i keep my full attention on the show and dont zone out. I rarely share them with anyone) during an intermission for a show I saw with my friend at this really small playhouse and he leaned over and read (very loudly) "why did you put *something critical about the opening number*" like DUDE THAT ACTOR'S MOM COULD BE SITTING IN FRONT OF YOU??? DON'T SAY SHIT WHEN YOU DONT KNOW WHOS GONNA HEAR IT
Even if the people around you don't know the cast/crew personally, they could have really enjoyed it. Say you thought an actor was pitchy and you said that out loud during intermission or after the show (God forbid you say it during the show) and the person next to you thought it was incredible. You're now diminishing that person's experience and making them feel stupid for thinking it was good. Their whole night at the show is now devalued because you said something bad and changed their perspective.
And these same people are going to be out in the lobby, by the doors, in the parking lot, taking the same bus as you, walking part of your route, going to the same restaurant... hold your tongue until you're somewhere completely private. It's just respectful.

Hello. If I remember correctly you once said Kyo's dance moves are similar to a Japanse performance dance (Bukagu?) or something similar and that there was a famous lady performing these as well, so do you perhaps remember the name of this lady? And if I even was right in remembering this or was it a whole other Tumblr I got wrong, haha
Ah, thanks for reminding me! It took a hell of a long time to find that post again, but searching "theatre" did it.
It was Kyo who mentioned being inspired by Ban'yuu Inryoku. I'm pretty sure that I had checked some videos of them and might have commented about that after the linked post above. I meant to go watch one of their performances too.
