You were yourself around me. You were the first time that someone spilled their mind and ranted about their life just for the sake of it. I loved listening to you. I don't think you understand how stupidly honourable it feels. I don't even know what to call it, what to call us. I take a picture with you and I fear that my desperation seeps through the cracks in my smile. I am afraid I might never see you again and I know we will never be the same again. There are sparkles on my hands. There are hearts in my eyes. I look at you like this, and how could you not know? How could you not know when I am bleeding with so much love for you? How could you not know that I love you?

Nose-deep in your flannel, fresh hit of spice from your
neck, touch of menthol on your breath greeting the raw
pink of my lungs, then turning the corner of my twice shy
mouth, halfway between hello and—
We were always halfway, weren’t we? Halfway between
parallel streets and glowing storefronts and cracked doorways
me, half in
you, half out
my restless mind
your wanderlust eyes
halfway to the start of a beginning that never quite began
Never quite—save for that autumn afternoon when you
folded into me, extra something in your gaze that soothed
like tempered lips to fevered head
I think I was halfway to loving you that day
both our feet toeing the threshold, long shadows of
us, kissing like lovers in dying millennial sun
I think you were halfway to loving me back
inside that stolen moment, we were curious observers
vased under a sky of glass and roses
An entire season of blooming, and October roses are still
the only ones I can’t seem to forget
I think we were halfway to a metaphor that day
Sometimes the longest goodbye is the one we never say
BRUH a dude I know from work came in for the first time in months and I thought he looked different but couldn't figure out why?? So I asked if he'd changed his hair and he was like "BITCH I GOT TOP SURGERY"
saw someone refer to not knowing how to keep track of your money as "girl math" ......why are we in this weird era of treating women like idiots but repackaging it to sound cute and quirky. We All Need To Stop
I adore this recent trend (if that's the right word) of letting an orchestra play classical music on a festival. It's magical to see thousands of festival-goers going absolutely wild on Beethoven. Mosh/circlepits, crowd surfing. It's wonderful to see the orchestra and the audience having the time of their lives.
