My mom tells this story about how my mammaw was figuring out what to cook for holiday dinner (which holiday, Christmas or Easter, idk). She would cook everyone’s favorite (and with 3 children, 4 in-laws, and 6 grandchildren… that’s a lot for an old woman by herself. But it was her element so.) And the story always ends with my mother asking her mother, “do you know my favorite?” And my mammaw looked at her and said, “Well, you’re kinda like me. You love it all.” And my mom responding, “It’s your strawberry cream cake.”
In all my years of hearing that story, it never occurred to me to ask my mother if she knew my mammaw’s answer to my favorite, because I was a very picky eater as a child.
You wanna know what my mammaw said?
“Oh, I’ll just make her some kind of meat.”
READ ME FOR FILTH
I’m still a carnivore to this day. 😂😂😂😂 But I can just imagine my mammaw watching me while I was under her care and her just seeing

Link to Part Two
Part One
Eddie stares down at the plastic doodad. It proudly declares the word ‘pregnant’ on the little screen, cheerily oblivious to the fact that it's just ruined Eddie’s whole fucking life. It’s a word as well, the actual fucking word, ‘pregnant’ shown oh so confidently on the little screen. Eddie’s done a test before, one time when he had a scare as a teenager, that had been the sort that showed one line or two.
One lines for not, two for...are. Two would have looked like prison bars, which would have been ironic given being saddled with a pup is probably pretty equivalent to 25 to life.
Anyway. Eddie shakes it. Looks again. Throws the fucking thing in the bin.
Well fuck.
Eddie contemplates, very very briefly, getting rid of it. His mind and body recoil from that thought the same way it would from, like, rotted tuna. Or someone else's puke. Or like...salad.
Eddie’s Omega’s got a lot of needs and no Alpha willing to fill them. Eddie gets by, fobbing his Omega off with with a couple of short term friends with benefits arrangements and the odd one night stand. Mostly his Omega can’t tell the difference between having an Alpha and having any Alpha, so he makes do. It scratches the itch.
Unfortunately, that means this pup could have been fathered by any one of three dudes, and Eddie doesn’t have a fucking clue which of them it would be. Eddie would really rather not it be Alpha A, Alpha B is a piece of work with a big dick, and what's behind door number three would be potentially catastrophic.
Anyway. Eddie makes a decision at two am in his apartment bathroom, and it starts with two text messages, an email, and a phone call.
“Thanks for doing this so on the spur man,” Eddie tells his landlord as he hands over the keys. Ex landlord. It was only a room in a shared place. Had to share the bathroom on this floor with two other dudes, but, meh. It had been perfect for what Eddie needed, and more importantly, within Eddie’s budget.
His whole life is sitting in the back of his van, barely filling a third of the back. Which is ideal really, made clearing out quick and easy and Eddie’s uncertain about weather or not he should be doing any heavy lifting right now.
He makes three stop offs before he leaves for good, shifting the very last of his product at discount prices. He mournfully throws in his last two boxes of cigs with the last deal; going cold turkey is going to be the opposite of fun, but Eddie’s in it to win it, and he’s going to try his best as of right now.
Wayne already has the door open when Eddie hops out of his van, beer in hand, eyebrow raised, “heya old man.”
When Wayne sees Eddie dragging bags out, he lifts the brim of his cap, puts it back again, and heads inside. Eddie sees him move a couple of things out of Eddie’s old room, and although it’s empty and the bed is stripped to nothing, it’s untouched, “how long you back for?” Wayne asks him, offering a beer.
Eddie looks at the offered bottle, dripping condensation, and very pointedly doesn’t take it “so, about that.”
There’s a long drawn out moment, and Eddie’s sees the realization dawn, “oh Ed.”
“You like kids!”
Wayne sighs, pulls Eddie into a hug, “I just hope they sleep better’n you did. Don’t think I can go through that again.”
Eddie snorts a laugh into Wayne’s shoulder, all relieved. He hadn't doubted for a second that Wayne would back his play, Wayne's always been unshakably team Eddie, but to hear it said in no uncertain terms is still a huge weight lifted.
Eddie’s got a slightest curve of a bump, small enough that it’s not nearly noticeable yet, especially with Eddie’s usual wardrobe. To go along with his bump, he’s got a scan booked at the Omega Health place, an insatiable craving for garlic mushrooms, and a job.
An actual honest job. Alright, a temp job, because he’s pregnant and no one in their right mind is going to hire a pregnant Omega for a full time permanent gig. So he is, conveniently enough, covering maternity leave for a beta girl at the record store. But that doesn’t matter right now, the moons aligned, and Eddie jumped at the opportunity. He’s going to have a secure pay check for the next seven or so months, and right this second, that’s what counts.
He can’t drink. He can’t smoke. He can’t do drugs and he’s most certainly not going to party. Eddie does the next best thing he can think of; he goes to the library. This is his reward now, his fun, his safe space; he’s going to reward himself with a good book. A good free book.
Turns out registering himself for a library card is a ten minute thing, and then he’s done, bit of plastic in hand, he wonders the shelves looking for the fantasy section. He rounds the corner into the main room only to find a dude reading and signing along to a bunch of little kids. He has the book propped up on a thing to keep his hands free and the pages open so the kids can see.
He’s encouraging them to sign along with a bunch of the words.
He has good hair...like, really good hair. There’s something familiar about the guy that Eddie can't place...until he does.
Holy fucking shit. That’s King Steve.
And he’s in a library...wearing fucking gold rimmed spectacles and a sweater vest.
And he’s hot. He’s still hot. He laughs at something and leans forward to help a toddler with the placement of her chubby little fingers and Eddie’s ovaries fucking explode.
He walks away. For self preservation he walks away. He forgets what he just saw because there was no way it was real. He’s been going through a dry spell, hasn’t got laid since he moved back to Hawkins and now he’s seeing mirages of his high school crush, that’s all.
That’s all it can be.
Until Eddie goes to the fancy scanner machine to check out his little pile of four paperback fantasy books and a deep Alpha voice is asking if he needs anything and he’s, like, right there. And he smells of library and Alpha and whatever nice thing he washes his fucking sweater vests in.
Jesus.
“No,” Eddie squeaks, “I’m okay.”
“Eddie?” Steve frowns at him, tilting his read and looking over the top of his glasses in a way that should be fucking criminal, “Eddie Munson right? I thought you moved away?”
“I have. Did. I mean, I did do that. Previously. Back now. Clearly.” Shut up shut up shut up and Steve can probably smell his embarrassment because he’s standing closely enough to clearly scent Eddie and Steve’s senses must be absolutely pinpoint because his eyes drop to Eddie’s stomach, then spring up to his neck. He frowns, like, the tiniest bit.
Eddie’s pregnant, and unmated, and Steve’s clocked that in about four seconds flat which, great. Humiliation complete.
But Steve’s face clears as quick as it had clouded, the whole thing passing so fast Eddie’s now not even sure he saw it, “so it’d been cool to catch up, you wanna wait a minute, I’m just about to have lunch?”
“Errr…I mean. I wouldn't want to impose or anything-”
“Steve!” And holy shit, if Steve is the ghost of Christmas past or some shit, the second ghost just rocked up in the form of Robin fucking Buckley of all people. Eddie doesn't even understand why they’re even friends, Steve was a topnotch jock and a total fucking dickwad, and Buckley was a band nerd.
This makes less sense than Steve’s sweater vest.
“Yeah, come on Eddie, lets go sit outside,” Eddie gets tugged along in their wake, somehow, and ends up sitting on a bench outside in the sun.
Robin had a bag of take out in her hand which she gives to Steve, and he takes out a carton of something that instantly makes Eddie’s mouth water, Eddie looks back up in time to catch Steve widening his eyes at Robin, tilting his head off to the side sharply in silent gesture for her to fuck off over there. She signs something, real quick. Steve nods.
Eddie doesn’t know a single lick of sign language, but he's pretty sure that even if he did, what happened was so fast he would have missed it anyway, “so, Eddie, great to see you, but I, shit, pretty sure I’ve left the...stove on.”
Eddie frowns at the take out and back to Robin but before he can point out what a steaming pile of bullshit that is, she’s already power walking off and shouting, “byyyyeeeeeeeeeeeee.”
“I, ah, got garlic mushrooms and broccoli and some stirfry-”
It’s too late for Eddie. He’s done. Stick a fork in him. He has no idea what’s happening here but he zones in on the garlic mushroom part of that like a heat seeking missile. A secondary part of his brain is screaming loudly that the Alpha has provided, the Alpha wants to share his food with Eddie. Alpha Alpha Alpha.
Eddie takes the container and the bamboo spork thing Steve hands him, “sorry, I never get chopsticks, no fucking clue how to use them.”
“I can show you,” Eddie says, without thinking it through or registering the implication or stopping to swallow, which means he just spoke with his mouth full of food.
“I’d like that,” Steve tells him, “when can I take you out for dinner?”
Which, Eddie’s brain does stall out there. Because. Well. Lots of things. But he was pretty certain Steve had clocked his specific circumstances earlier, but now he’s not so sure, “I’m pupped,” his mouth supplies without his permission, so he shoves a whole thing of broccoli in there to try and stop it happening again.
Steve hums, eating his beef thing very neatly, “no bite though,” he points out, and Eddie makes an agreeable noise, “maybe we can fix that,” Eddie nearly chokes.

no, don’t ask! | satoru gojo
the clock ticked like a timed bomb waiting to go off, satoru was in his chair bouncing his leg biting his nails.
he was ready, he was ready to devour you, give you up to the gods and strip you, smell your scent, spread your legs, finger-
“i’m home.”
“babeeee.” satoru says hopping up from his chair and running to the front door, there you were all snuggled up in your coat carrying your bags.
he slid a bag from off your arms beaming at you, your scent entering his nose and waking up his junior downstairs.
you cock your eyebrow at his demeanor but brush it off as satoru being satoru, you put your bag on the floor and close the door.
“i think it’s going to snow, it’s freezing out.” you muffle out, taking off your scarf and shoes.
satoru smirks at you leaning against the wall, his arms folded against his chest.
“i believe so, i’m hoping a certain someone could warm me up.” he says wiggling his eyebrows up and down.
you make an exaggerated gagging sound and strip off your jacket, satoru’s eyes bulging out his head when he sees your figure.
he’s been waiting for this, waiting for you.
you’ve been so busy with work, leaving the house all the time, going on business trips, you haven’t made time for him, but all that’s going to change.
you remove the hat from your head putting it on the coat rack and taking a big stretch.
satoru clears his throat walking closer to you, bringing his hand up and cupping your cheek, you’re warm.
he’s looking at you, his eyes tracing every area of your face, then landing on his favorite part, your lips.
“i’ve been waiting for you. i’ve craved you for weeks.” he whispers out, only loud enough for you to hear it.
you smile at him bringing your hand to his face and gently rubbing your thumb across his cheek, he’s cold.
“no, don’t ask.” you say, walking down the hall into the kitchen, he’s flabbergasted, appalled, shocked.
“you don’t turn me down!” he yells out, stomping after you like a child.
you scoff walking into the kitchen flinging the refrigerator open, your eyes tracing over everything in there.
“and who the hell are you.” you mutter out grabbing the turkey meat pack and stuffing some in your mouth.
“uh your husband, soulmate, companion, need i say more?” he’s pouting and rolling his eyes, his foot tapping the floor repeatedly.
“there’s a reason we haven’t had sex. you’re too rough and don’t know when to stop.” you muffle out in between chews.
his jaw drops and he flails his arms around whining, you weren’t wrong. every-time in bed he would get carried away, not his fault you felt too good.
“but… but you should’ve told you me!” he cries out, walking towards you shaking you back and forth.
“i have you fucking lunatic.” you stuff another piece of meat in your mouth as he continues to shake you.
sex was a given in a relationship but not with you, you easily revoked it, that’s the only way you could get his behavior in order.
“okay okay i’m sorry. i’ll be gentle, i promise.” he whines out putting his hand back on your cheek and caressing it.
you look at him with a deadpan expression chewing the remaining bit of food you had in your mouth.
a promise is a promise, so why not.
you nod your head and close up the meat putting it back in the fridge.
with no warning satoru lifts you up putting you over your shoulder and giving your ass a slap and licks his lips.
“great, cause i’ve been waiting for you all day.” a chuckle erupting from his lips.
you roll your eyes and just lay there, you already know he’s going to forget his promise in a few seconds.

While there were periods of coexistence with Jews in the Levant, let this brief history disavow you of the notion, being promulgated all over the internet (and especially my inbox) that Jews were treated "well" by Muslims.
Similar in many ways to the dehumanization and murder at the hands of European Christianity, the Jews in Muslim-controlled lands, starting with Muhammad (exemplified in Islam as not just a prophet, but the "perfect example of human being") suffered continuous waves of ethnic-cleansing pogroms and massacres, culminating in the Massacres in southern Israel on October 7th.
This is a short list:
622 - 627: Ethnic cleansing of Jews literally from Mecca and Medina, (Jewish boys with pubic hair were executed along with the men). Over 800 adult males were killed by beheading. Women were forced into sexual slavery, and the children were given to Islamic Jihadis as slaves. Mohammad force-married Safiyyah, after murdering her husband and father.

Crystalline Gala Cuisine
Been a bit since I made a festival cuisine, and since my old ones have been circulating, I guiltily figured I should make one for the Gala before it ends.  Gaolers and Tundras are both herbivores (though Gaolers also eat meat), but I headcanon that like most herbivores they will opportunistically eat fish, insects, and meat when given the chance. The dishes have a bit more mixing than the previous cuisine; in the Icefield you eat what you can and as much as you can to survive. Potato Onions are my replacement for potatos, because FR needs potatoes (and citrus and tomatoes and wheat and rice and spices).
Seeker Stew- originally a stew of necessity for traveling Seekers, it was made of dried Sea Grass, small Cragside Mussels, canned Common Minnows, Sour Elk milk, and spoiled Turnips. The dish was transformed back home, using fresh Spinach, meaty Olympia Oysters, Jumbo Shrimp, new Potato Onions, and…sour Snowfall Elk milk. Funk is flavor!
Shalefin in a Fur Coat- this uniquely named dish is a layered salad, like the layers of a Tundra fur coat. It is made of finely sliced pickled Shalefin fillets, grated Potato Onion, Gradish, and Honeycrisp Apple, and chopped hard-boiled Flecked Bushrunner eggs. The key binding ingredient is a flavorful mayonnaise made of Elk tallow, Dappled Clucker yolks, and dill.
Bear in a Cave Dumplings-a favorite of the Fae scholars of the Frozen Sanctum. It is a boiled or fried Potato Onion dumpling filled with fried Wooly Bear, Wild Onion, and Dryad's Saddle. It can be served with melted Elk milk butter and Winter’s Delight jam or a white sauce spiced with dried Dusky Mealworm and imported Golden Pepper.
Tundra Grub- a dish named after the main protein of the dish: a sausage filled with Tundra Grub meat, Longneck-grown oats, and Elk blood. The sausage is fried along with strips of Tundra Cactus before being added to an earthy brown sauce of Mycena Mushroom and Earthworms. It is typically served with an unleavened flatbread made of rye or Longneck oats, or a mash of Potato Onion.
Woodland Turkey Dinner- this was once a seasonal dish, but now is common year-round. While the star of the dinner is the roasted Woodland Turkey, the side dishes are just as essential. The most common is: Deep Sea Lobster and Jumbo Shrimp stuffing, roasted Winter Brussel Sprouts with a Superberry vinegarette, Tundra Grub and Potato Onion mash with Mycena Mushroom gravy, and Stonecorn rolls with Elk cheese and White Lace Honeybee honey. And last but not least, a Cinnamon and Honeycrisp Apple pie. A heavy dinner said to put even Sentinels to sleep!
Trunk Cheese- not actually cheese, but a cold meat dish made of fresh Bullephant Trunk (or Mammophant, though it is not as tasty).  The meat of the trunk is removed and cooked in a mix of spices and Wild Onion, and then poured and set with gelatin in the skin of the trunk. Slices are cut from the trunk and served upon rye bread with strong Wild Mustard and pickled Gradish.
Edamame Soup and Pancakes- a popular yet odd combination of savory and sweet. This dish features a Chilled Edamame soup (heated of course, the chilled variety of plants grow better in the hot houses of Icefield) with large chunks of smokey Elk bacon, a sprinkle of thyme, and a dollop of Wild Mustard. The pancakes are made of nutty and mildly sweet Amaranth flour and served with Winter’s Delight jam. The soup is traditionally dished with a silver spoon, after a mighty Tundra king was poisoned by his favorite soup.
Warden’s Delight- a dessert, a snack, a spread upon rye bread, and a delight to every hatchie. It is a mix of Elk tallow, Spotted Seal or Wooly Walrus oil, fresh snow, and Winter’s Delight. As the mixture is whipped into fluffy peaks, it is traditional to sing “Warden’s Delight to fight off the night, no Shade or beast shall fill my sight. Drive away the hunger, drive away the cold, fill my belly and make me bold.”
Frozen Bouquet- flowers are rarity in the Southern Icefield, but this bouquet is made from flash-frozen flowers and fruits. After thawing they are quickly coated in a thin layer of crystalized maple syrup and then arranged into a bouquet. Often the bouquets have hidden meanings like Pretty Pink Mums for courting. Winterbelle for strength, and Wolfsbane for warning. But what every Tundra fears the most is a bouquet of Black Tulips.
Crisp Morning Cider- Vodka is life to Ice Flight, the warmth in one’s chest in a land where winter never ends. And while most drink it “neat”, when rations are low then cocktails are the answer!  This drink is a common morning warmer and is a mix of White Lace Honeybee honey with hot water, Vodka, Honeycrisp Apple cider, and Cinnamon.
Boreal Brew-a tea made from the leaves of whatever green tree is available. Birch, Fir, Spruce, and Pine can all be brewed into an astringent tea with a citrus-y aftertaste. Unfortunately, Birch, Fir, and Spruce are typically harvested during Spring-Summer- but Pine is harvested during December. To help remove the bitter taste, Pine can be fermented with sugar for a week to a month (fermentation time depending on temperature) and then filtered and served as cold tea.

merry chrysler i joined a secret santa thing hosted by crewe (@creweemmaeec11) love u crewe anyway I'm writing for @auratusaria hi hello
their prompt was: Supervillain isn't the type of person to celebrate the holidays, but villain and their henchmen want to show their appreciation for Supervillain being the best boss they could ever have so they plan a secret Christmas party! The villain could drag any heroes along too for it as well.
The betrayal went like this: the hero, leaning against the wall, panting, exhausted of all their powers, yet satisfied and content. The villain, leaning on the wall opposing them, them, too, exhausted, overexerted, but eyeing them curiously, unusual creature they were.
"Oh, fuck," wheezed the hero, leaning on their weapon. "God, those minions were terrible. Uhm. Is this it?"
"For us." The villain leaned up from the wall, paying no mind to their exhaustion. They were like that. A little robotic, forgetting they had a human body sometimes. The hero assumed they were going to work more. Poor thing. The hero eyed the corpses on the ground.
"And for you?"
"I'm not done," they said. "Not with you, at least." And after saying that, they knocked the hero out with the butt of their gun. Splendid. Perfect.
The hero woke up mad that they felt well-rested and ready to curse the villain out with all their fury. Unfortunately, they couldn't do that, because the villain slept soundly beside them on the bed their wrists were cuffed to--and it was already a very obvious courtesy that the villain cuffed them to something as comfortable as a bed--and the hero knew how horrible the villain was at taking care of themselves. They wouldn't be so cruel as to wake them up.
But still. The hero cursed the villain out in their mind. In fact, as they soundlessly tugged on the handcuffs and looked around for anything to pick them with, they busied their very hyperactive mind to come up with insults and lectures they'd spill onto the villain the second that they woke up. You two-faced buffoon. You... you... disappointment? Damn it. You shitfaced brick wall. That was a little funny.
The hero twisted their wrist a little wrong and made the chains of the cuffs clink together too loudly. The villain jolted awake at once and stared at them a little like a deer in headlights on the offensive, ready to jump onto the hood of the car. Then they quickly caught themselves and their usual annoying sangfroid slipped back into them.
"Oh. It's just you."
"Just me?" The hero's hackles rose as they watched the villain get up from the bed and slowly strip. What, like this was a one-night stand? "You brat! You could've given me a concussion!"
The villain looked back at them, bemused, as they unbuttoned the top of their uniform. "No, I know where to hit to give you a concussion and where to hit to not give you a concussion. It was uploaded in my memory before I was changed to this body."
"Brat!"
The villain's brows furrowed for just a moment as they thought of an insult back. "Loser."
"Cunt!"
The villain looked off into the distance, deep in thought, before they nodded their head in approval. "Whore."
The hero gasped. They watched the villain make their way to some wardrobe to the side of the room and fish out a button-up, shucking it over their shoulders like a jacket. "Wait. Is this a warehouse? You can't experiment on me--"
"It's not a warehouse. And your consent wouldn't matter," they added as an afterthought. "It's supervillain's compound." The hero gasped again, then went to pull the damn handcuffs off of their wrists with fervour. "Calm down. You won't be, like, Christmas Turkey, or whatever."
The fact that the villain was using filler words such as whatever and or, like was a serious smack in the face. But the hero had bigger problems. "Then?"
The villain finished buttoning up their shirt and rolled their shoulders now that they were in more comfortable fabrics. The hero heard a bone pop and the villain stared at their own shoulder in alarm, still not used to their human body, before they quickly muttered an oh and moved on. They hummed in thought, which was very odd and concerning because they rarely ever paused to think because their brain was so fast. They tapped the side of the wardrobe doors and looked back at the hero. "You're boss's favourite hero."
"So I'm a Christmas present?!"
"No." The villain frowned. The hero had to admit, the frown was a little adorable on their usually serious face. "You're a...hm, I suppose you can be called a guest."
"A guest to an all-villain party. Only hero. How amazing."
"Not all-villain." The villain raised up a finger. "That fireball-blasting vigilante's going to be there."
"Oh. Okay. That one's head over heels for me." The villain blinked in the hero's peripherals. "All right. So what's the party about?"
"Christmas."
"I know, stupid, but why are you guys hosting it?"
For a beat the villain stayed silent. Then they stared at the ground and then the bed sheets and anywhere else but at the hero's face. They walked to the bed and sat down and the hero saw that the tips of their ears were pink. That put the hero off to a very great degree, but it wasn't bad. The hero often thought that it was endearing whenever they found a new idiosyncrasy in the villain because of their human body.
"Well, supervillain made me," the villain said. "They gave me terabytes of information to preserve and keep and then they risked losing all of it just to save me with a human body. I have to give them something back somehow. This is the only good place I know to start from. They barely ever stop working."
...oh. The hero suddenly felt the very urgent compulsion to hold the villain's human face in their hands. Would the flush in their ears travel down to their cheeks if they did that? The hero quickly exhaled. Don't think. Do not think.
"Anyway." The villain quickly picked themselves up and got up from the bed for the second time that day. "Their henchman is also very eager to give back their generosity somehow. I'm kind of competing against them for best employee. And you're supervillain's favourite toy."
"That's so dehumanizing. So dehumanizing. You of all people should understand that."
The villain cocked their head to the side. The hero didn't think that the villain knew how endearing the confused tic was.
The hero shook their cuffs. "Well, get me out of these. We've got a party to fix, right?"
The villain eagerly nodded their head. "The best Christmas party ever."

I know I rarely come on here and post stuff, but this is something serious that I think needs to start being boosted onto this platform if it hasn’t already. It’s everywhere on TikTok but that is not enough, so hopefully I can start a wave of awareness that is just as strong here as it is on TikTok.
In the rare instance that you don’t know, I will explain now;
Today I wish to bring light to the Genocide that is going on in Gaza, as well as many other Genocides that, only now, are being brought to light.
As of right now of writing this (November 14th, 2023), there has been an ongoing Genocide in Palestine that is being lead by Israel and started on October 7th of this year when a conflict occurred between Israel and Hamas/led Palestinian militants from the Gaza Strip. Palestine has been under attack from Israel for longer though, since 1947 and, from 2006, there were a total of five wars between Hamas and Israel.
This year it has continued to worsen, now reaching large media coverage from journalists - many of which have been killed in the bombings as well as its citizens. In total a number of 11,100 and counting have been killed since October 7th, a large majority of the deaths being women and children, children including babies who have ranged from two years old to just being born, their lives ended before they can even walk.
People around the world, including those in Palestine themselves have demanded a ceasefire and for help from governments across the globe. Yet no help has been given to them, why? Because they side with Israel, these governments include and are not limited to the ones listed in this video:
youtube
Incase you can’t watch it for whatever reason at the moment, I will list here the major countries that, as of writing this, are pro-Israel;
- U.S.A/United States America
- Germany
- Guatemala
- India
- Austria, Hungary, Czechia, Croatia(Within Europe)
- France(Though they voted against Israel in the Humanitarian Truce Vote, they are still worthy of adding into this list)
And now for those who are AGAINST Israe/Pro-Palestinel:
- Iran/The Taliban
-Syria
- Chilli
- Columbia
- Bolivia
- Turkey
- Qatar
Please do keep in mind that things like this are possible to change, only time will tell but regardless it is important to keep note of who is supporting who.
Now this may be the part where I ask you to please go and support Palestine and do what you can. But that’s not it, not yet, for Palestine is not the only country under threat of Genocide. Unfortunately, there are more.
Congo and Haiti are also under going silent Genocides, both countries being extorted for their mineral resources to benefit western countries: Congo for example, their people being forced into slave labour to mine sources - one such resource being the ones to make iPhones and laptops, probably what you’re using right now to read this. The resource are called Tatalum and Coltan, and they are stained with the blood those forced to mine them.
youtube
Haiti is under a constantly corrupted and unstable government management with a rise of gang activities to go with it. No help has been given to them.
youtube
And western countries have done absolutely JACK SHIT to help.
That has to change. We cannot simply just demand for only Palestine, Congo or Haiti be freed and helped, but instead we demand ALL countries be helped. It’s obvious by now that our governments could care less about the people, they care about historical affiliations and keeping good connections for the sake of financial and resourceful of benefits.
Hope is not entirely lost, though, as many have taken to protest against and raise awareness to the inhumane cruelty that had been put into the light. I strongly encourage you to do the same. I am not asking that you go and fight the wars and fox the economies by yourself, I am asking that you merely acknowledge and SPREAD THE WORD.
Ignorance is a privilege we shall not let anyone have when it comes to atrocities like these.
What can you do to help?
Again, you just spread the word; repost, post, talk to friends or family about it, do whatever you can to so read awareness. Donate to charities(Be sure to do your research before doing so as, unfortunately, they are many who would take advantage of tragedies such as these for financial gain. Please be sure to research who or whatever you are donating money to so you know for sure where your money will be going.)
We are right now in the midst of a historical event, history is repeating and we are doomed if we stay quiet and do nothing. Hope is not lost.
From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free. So will Congo and Haiti.

Sympathy for the Devil (2023) Review
Tumblr media
It's Collateral in the desert, with the Cruise out and in with the Cage.
Plot: After being forced to drive a mysterious passenger at gunpoint, a man finds himself in a high-stakes game of cat and mouse where it becomes clear that not everything is as it seems.
I do hold a special place in my heart for the acting enigma that is Nicolas Cage. He's truly like no one else, with his over-acting techniques and outrageous performances consistently being enjoyable and interesting to watch, even if he is stuck in a dumpster fire of a movie, and boy there are many turkeys on his filmography! Lately, however, Nicolas Cage has been actually allowed to appear in some solid films, with the wonderfully weird psychological hallucinogenic trip in 2018's Mandy where Cage loses more shit than he usually does; to the hilarious 2022 flick The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent where Cage played himself and gave us the best friend duo we never thought we needed in himself and Pedro Pascal; and this year appearing as Dracula in Renfield. Yep, there was also that Western dud earlier this year called The Old Way which was the most boring interpretation of the Wild West possible where even Cage was on low form, but the less we mention that the better. Be sure to look out for my Top 10 Worst Movies of 2023 list end of the year - The Old Way will surely be making an appearance. Anyway, enough with the shameless self-marketing of my own blog - let's discuss the new Nicolas Cage movie that's gracing our screens!
Sympathy for the Devil is a very by-the-numbers kidnapping movie, that is definitely inspired by the Michael Mann 2004 thriller Collateral, which involves cab driver Jamie Foxx driving around Tom Cruise's assassin as he completes his dirty work. Thrilling movie by the way - can recommend it! As for Sympathy for the Devil, there is nothing new here or original. There's some fun camerawork taking advantage of the neo-noir lighting of Las Vegas at night, and most of the events that transpire are in this one car with these two characters was simplistic yet director Yuval Adler managed to keep this limited setting engaging. Reminded me a bit of that Tom Hardy 2013 drama Locke where he spends the entire movie driving his car and talking to folks on the phone. The script however is very weak, and the twist at the end of the film is extremely predictable, so the movie sorely relies upon its two central performances.
Luckily the two lead actors do solid work. Nicolas Cage is given yet another shot to give an unhinged crazy performance as the maniacal stranger, and he's given a physical makeover too with red dyed hair and a flashy red suit jacket. A lot of the film is spent on him giving out goofy line readings and monologues while rolling his googly eyes and being general Rage Cage. Joel Kinnaman brings vulnerability and humanity as the innocent driver who simply wants to get to the hospital to his wife who is giving birth to his third child. Kinnaman especially can be a very intimidating and strong presence as he's done before in The Suicide Squad as soldier Rick Flag, so seeing him here stripped down was definitely an interesting casting choice.
Overall Sympathy for the Devil is not particularly memorable, with there being no devil in the details of the script. However if you want another excuse to watch Nicolas Cage do his maddenic lunatic thing, then it will be an enjoyable 90 minutes to pass the time. Can't say I'm not a little disappointed - the trailer made the movie seem like much more of a deranged experience than what the final product turned out to be. Ah well, no sympathies for the devil this time around.
Overall score: 5/10

There are more F-16s in the Middle East than in Europe, but Ukraine will probably not receive any of these
Fernando Valduga By Fernando Valduga 05/20/23 - 12:03am in Military, War Zones
After months of repeatedly insisting that it urgently needs F-16 fighters to strengthen its air defense, there are strong indications that Ukraine can finally acquire these fourth-generation fighters.
The U.S. agreed to support a European-led initiative to train Ukrainian pilots to fly the F-16 fighter. Ukraine could therefore soon acquire used F-16s currently in service with the European air forces. However, Europe is not the region with the most F-16 outside the United States.
Tumblr media
F-16 fighters of the Royal Dutch Air Force.
President Joe Biden informed world leaders at the G7 summit in Japan about his decision to support the European training plan. His decision marks a major turnaround in his government's previous positions that Ukraine was not ready to receive the aircraft or that training would take a long time to affect the outcome of the war. Any transfer of F-16 serving in the European air forces to a third country requires authorization from the US, which they will now probably receive for any transfer from Ukraine.
Belgium, Denmark and Norway are also willing to supply F-16 to Ukraine. These three countries, along with the Netherlands, have about 125 of these fighters among them. But in addition to the United States itself, the region with the highest number of F-16s is not Europe. It's the Middle East.
Tumblr media
The second, third and fourth largest F-16 fleets belong to the countries of the Middle East, Israel, Turkey and Egypt, respectively. Israel alone has about 362 F-16. In comparison, the Netherlands has about 24 F-16s in service, which Amsterdam will soon withdraw in favor of the fifth-generation F-35 Lightning II stealth jets. Denmark has about 30 and Belgium about 40. Norway had 64 before taking them out of service at the end of 2022, replacing them with their shiny new F-35s.
Tumblr media
F-16s of the Polish Air Force.
Poland has 48 F-16 jets, but will probably only agree to transfer these jets when it receives the F-35 and put them into service in their place. Greece has a fleet three times larger, 83 of which are being upgraded to the latest Block 72 standard. It is unlikely that Athens will be willing to transfer anyone, as long as it realizes that there is a military threat from Turkey in its region.
Tumblr media
F-16s of the Hellenic Air Force.
Then there is the Middle East, where there is much more F-16, but much less visible prospects of any transfer.
Israel was willing to sell Croatia 12 of its used F-16s for $500 million at the end of 2010, but the U.S. opposed it and the deal was canceled. Washington opposed the transfer, as Israel has substantially updated these jets since it acquired them three decades earlier. The updates included sophisticated electronics and radar systems.
Tumblr media
F-16s of the Israeli Air Force.
The US would probably not oppose Israel providing F-16 to Ukraine. However, given this Croatian precedent, it can first condition its approval to Israel by lowering these jets, stripping them of such sensitive components.
Still, with Israel's reluctance so far to transfer any air defenses that Ukraine has directly requested, it may also be reluctant to give Kiev even older F-16s soon. Last year, Israel even refused a U.S. request to transfer outdated American-made MIM-23 Hawk surface-to-air missiles that it has in stock.
Tumblr media
F-16s of the Turkish Air Force.
Turkey has approximately 270 F-16, which form the backbone of its air force. Ankara is modernizing its older Block 30 models to keep them in service for a few more years. Since October 2021, he has sought 40 new modernized F-16 Block 70 from the US, along with 79 modernization kits to keep his existing fleet operational and up to date.
The United States banned Turkey from buying F-35 after it bought an advanced Russian air defense system. Ankara now relies on its weapons industry to develop its fifth-generation national fighter, the TF-X Kaan. As a result, you will probably not be willing to give or sell any of your F-16s to Kiev anytime soon.
Tumblr media
Egyptian Air Force F-16.
Then there is Egypt and its fleet of 220 jets. For decades, Cairo was irritated by the fact that Washington refused to sell any F-15. In early 2022, there were signs that this could change soon. However, given its continued political and strategic ties with Russia, there is little reason to expect Egypt to deliver some F-16 to Ukraine.
Cairo showed no intention of separating from its modern fleet of MiG-29M/M2 fighters that it bought from Russia in the 2010s. These jets would have been ideal for Ukraine at the beginning of the war, when Kiev looked for Soviet and Russian fighters with which its pilots were familiar.
Some future U.S.-sponsored agreement could convince Egypt to transfer some of its older F-16s, although this has not yet been seen and is, frankly, unlikely.
Tumblr media
F-16s of the Royal Jordanian Air Force.
Another Middle Eastern country that operates F-16 is Jordan, which has more than 40 models, although older. The tiny island kingdom of Bahrain, in the Persian Gulf, even has a modest fleet. When the United Arab Emirates ordered 80 F-16E/F Desert Falcon Block 60 jets in the late 1990s, they became the first country to acquire F-16s more modern than those piloted by the U.S. Air Force, a historic debut.
Tumblr media
F-16 Desert Falcon of the United Arab Emirates Air Force.
Abu Dhabi would probably not transfer these jets to Kiev, given its close ties with Moscow and a growing inclination to balance its strategic relationship with the United States with its economic and political relations with Russia and China. France recently denied a report that it planned to buy the Dassault Mirage 2000 fighter fleet from the United Arab Emirates, which is in excellent condition, to transfer to Ukraine.
In addition, the withdrawal of the Emirates from an agreement to buy 50 F-35 jets in 2021 may make Abu Dhabi more reluctant to part with its formidable 4.5 generation Desert Falcons.
F-16s of the Iraqi Air Force.
Iraq has a fleet of 34 F-16IQ jets on which Baghdad has become more dependent since the war in Ukraine interrupted the supply chain of spare parts for its helicopters and planes manufactured in Russia.
Pakistan Air Force F-16s.
And to the east of the Middle East, Pakistan has more than 80 F-16 fighters, although Islamabad hardly transferred or sold any of these jets to Kiev for various reasons.
Biden's decision is undoubtedly welcome in Kiev. But this does not necessarily mean that the U.S. will supply any of its F-16s. And although Ukraine may eventually receive some second-hand F-16s from Europe, it is highly unlikely that the only other region with a significant number of these fighters will give Kiev any of them.

💛 ever since that one strip i want luxembourg to take on bulgaria as his little pygmalion project. i want lil cute lux bossing bul around taking him for clothes fittings and haircuts and telling him to stop slouching while bul is kind of impressed and kind of terrified with lux's willpower.
🏆 luxembourg!!! he really doesn't get much attention even though he's been in quite a few strips now (i collect blue-purple themed characters can you tell). luxembourg is such an interesting country and given its backstory there's a lot of angst potential but also a lot of fun like, the amount of wine they put away?? the money??? the tax evasion?? lux deserves to be a scheming underhanded charming menace who is just as bad as ned but hides it better by being sweet and pretty. i also like to make him text like a 16yr old girl because it's funny.

My Solution to every current geopolical conflict
I got the list from CFR, a Foreign Relations thinktank, so there might be some conflicts missing, and for that I apologize
Criminal Violence in Mexico: This one is quite simple, as Mexico gets wealthier, the concept of joining a cartel makes less and less since, and they will mostly become a minor issue like the mafia is in the US today, so I say improve Mexican labor rights and impose more taxes on illegal businesses.
Instability in Haiti: the Haitian Government is on the right track calling in foreign militaries to occupy the country to stop the violence in Haiti's cities, but the coalition of countries should probably include the US, because we are used to occupying nations and are quite good at it.
Conflict Between Venezuela and Guyana: Venezuela's claim to Esquibo is basically illegitimate and obviously a nationalist ploy to stop people from paying attentions to internal issues within Venezuela, I recommend they stop doing that and use soccer to stoke nationalism like every other Latin American country.
War in Ukraine: I suggest Putin stop doing War in Ukraine, this would stop War in Ukraine.
Conflict Between Turkey and Armed Kurdish Groups: Turkey, Iraq, Iran, and Syria should recognize the autonomy and independence of Kurdistan and stop massacring Kurdish people.
Instability in Lebanon: Iran should stop sending in troops, and the Lebanese government should make a new constitution that guarantees religious freedom to prevent the religious conflict that has defined the nation since its independence.
Israeli-Palestinian Conflict: the US should occupy the region and rebuild the Gaza strip, enforce a clear border in the West Bank and ban any further settlers, and hold a free and fair election in a united Palestine. Build a commercial airline in both parts of Palestine and make sure that Israel is forced to allow people and materials to cross between the two sections of the country. Also the top brass of the IDF and the Israeli government should be tried for their war crimes in an international court.
Nongoro-Karabakh Conflict: the last remaining Armenians in Nagorno-Karabakh should be given safe passage into Armenia and Azerbaijan should be sanctioned by the rest of the world until they are forced to stop repressing ethnic minorities.
Instability in Iraq: Honestly this feels like it will sort itself out with time, keep training the Iraqi military on counter-terrorism and keep secularizing the government to prevent religious tension.
Conflict in Syria: This one is harder, "win the war on terror" is basically impossible to do, but if you secularize the government, stop Israel from bombing Syria, and push some wealth onto the average Syrian, then the terrorism in the region would probably go away on its own.
War in Yemen: The US and China are both ready to precision strike every single Houthi in Yemen for endangering international trade, so maybe instead have the US and Chinese Militaries train the Yemeni Military on how to stop the Houthis themselves while the US and China defend the Red Sea.
US Confrontation with Iran: The Ayatollah needs to be overthrown, but it needs to be done by the people of Iran, and not by the US. I suggest revolution, and the new government eventually engages in peace talks with America.
Civil Conflict in Libya: Easily the most complicated conflict on the list, I don't have any suggestion other than maybe try and compromise with the rebels, and failing that try to get other countries to fight them.
Civil War in Sudan: This, on the other hand is the easiest conflict on the list, just cede the territory, neither side wants to build a government with the other, so they probably shouldn't.
Instability in South Sudan: The South Sudanese really need infrastructure designed for peacetime, so I suggest having the US or China build the infrastructure for you. Being a neocolonial state is definitely not the best ending, but it's the only ending that stops the violence that is even remotely realistic
Violent Extremism in the Sahel: Violent Extremism is caused by poverty in most cases, including this one. It's not exactly easy to solve poverty, strong democratic governments with functional social safety nets and worker's rights tend to go a long ways.
Conflict in the Central African Republic: the Central African Republic needs military and economic support from a more stable country, one that is willing and able to push back the rebels, probably the US or China, I would go with the US.
Conflict in the Democratic Republic of the Congo: Do the Election again, this time with armed guards at every polling place to make sure no shenanigans went down, probably need to compromise with rebel forces to prevent civil war.
Conflict in Ethiopia: Ethiopia needs to stop messing with the Nile if it doesn't want war with Egypt and Sudan, and my next solution will solve its need for a safe port for trade.
Conflict between Somalia and Somaliland: Somalia needs to recognize Somaliland's independence and stop threatening war. And Somaliland needs to keep their deal with Ethiopia for safe access to Berbera for trade.
Conflict with Al-Shabaab in Somalia: Somalia needs a stronger central government that doesn't let terrorists take over its capital city and attack foreign countries, Somalia also needs to continue training with the US.
Instability in Afganistan: I prescribe revolution, freedom for women and gays, secularization, and you know what, some worker's rights couldn't hurt.
Instability in Pakistan: How many times and I going to type some version of the word "secularize" stop oppression regional, religious, or ethnic minorities and they would stop trying to take over your country.
Conflict between India and Pakistan: India needs to stop doing Hindu Nationalism and both sides need to stop pointing nukes at each other, this might actually be the simplest issue on this list.
Civil War in Myanmar: The rebels need to win the Civil War, and then not ethnically cleanse Muslims when they are in power.
Territorial Disputes in the South China Sea: China needs to follow international maritime law and stop stealing territory from its neighbors.
Confrontation over Taiwan: China needs to recognize Taiwanese independence and stop threatening them with war.
North Korea Crisis: I would also advocate for revolution here, but the extreme poverty in the region means a revolution would not be successful, so maybe they should be invaded by China and become a part of China.

Cormac McCarthy died earlier this month, and none of the tributes I’ve read have mentioned what I consider his most important contribution to the American literary canon: He wrote the best parenting book of all time, The Road.
Not only is it the best parenting book I’ve ever read, it’s the only parenting book I’ve read cover to cover. Sure, I’ve skimmed the big hits out of a sense of obligation, but nothing has come close to resonating with me to the extent, and for the unblinking duration, that The Road has.
For those unfamiliar, The Road is the story of an unnamed man and his unnamed son, who are walking through an ashen, ruined landscape in the wake of an unnamed catastrophe that happened years prior, when the boy was quite young. The conditions that surround them are unsafe, so they have to keep moving. They are heading toward “the coast,” but the man isn’t sure there’s anything waiting for them there. What he does seem to know is that the boy needs hope to survive, and a destination provides something to hope for. McCarthy’s prose is spare and devastating. (For those who would rather not read, there’s a very good film adaptation starring Viggo Mortensen in the role of the man.)
The Road will outlast every other parenting book in terms of relevance. It will achieve immortality, because its themes, like the Bible’s, will never become obsolete or irrelevant. It reads like a dark prophecy — but only for those of us reading it beneath our crisp Brooklinen sheets. It’s the present-day story of millions of migrant families moving across the land all over the world. Parents are on the Road with their kids as you read these words. The Road crosses the Darien Gap and through Mexico to the southern U.S. border into Texas, South Sudan, and the highways of Turkey and Syria.
I first read The Road not long after my own life-changing encounter with infrastructure collapse. I was living in New Orleans when the levees failed after Hurricane Katrina. The day before the storm hit, I joined the crowds in the parking lot of traffic on I-10, which had been put into “contraflow” mode — all lanes, east and west, heading out of town. Forced dispersal. Families were in crisis on the road shoulders, helpless in the relentless heat, dealing with car breakdowns, overheated kids, panicking pets, the need for a bathroom. In the following days, when my husband and I returned to New Orleans to report on the flooding, I’d watch someone pull out a handgun in a lineup for gas. I saw police accepting bribes and hospital patients wandering the streets still wearing their open-back robes.
I was 23 and had not given any thought to having kids yet, but after what we’d seen — which was nothing compared to what people back in the flood zone endured while trying to survive for weeks after the storm — my husband and I became fixated on being prepared to walk out of any place we ever lived. If we had kids, they’d need to be prepared to do it with them too. Forget cars, I thought. Forget systems.
I know this sounds ridiculous. But talk to people who have come up against the limits of our civic infrastructure and social contracts, and you’ll hear all kinds of crazy opinions about what you should be prepared to do, most of which involve firearms. My reaction was to make an ironclad commitment to foot travel, and anyone who knows me and my kids can confirm that I’ve kept my commitment — for better or worse. My kids can walk farther, with no snacks or water, than any other kids I know. (Granted, the kids I know are among the world’s most blessed and, therefore, among the world’s loudest and most persistent whiners, so the bar we’re working with is very, very low.)
We forced our kids to adapt to our twisted worldview by having them endure many long hikes — never with enough snacks and rarely with enough water. My friends know this about me and almost certainly pack extra snacks when we go on hikes together to compensate. Thanks, guys, and I’m sorry.
Consequently, do my kids enjoy hiking? They do not. They associate it with hunger and thirst. But it gives me peace of mind, knowing that they could walk out of Montreal and just keep going. Their grumpy resilience reassures me. Feel free to call me crazy.
But if you’re from, say, California or the Gulf Coast or Honduras, I suspect you might not. New Yorkers had their own brush with a suddenly and briefly transformed world just a couple of weeks ago, when wildfire smoke turned the sky orange. Borders are fake and can be put up anywhere, at any time, by anyone with enough resources to create a stash. Any of us could one day find ourselves on the wrong side of the one we want to cross. At which point we’re not much different from the father and son in The Road.
So when I read the book, which was published only about a year after Katrina, I felt vindicated by McCarthy’s vision of walking through a ruined landscape — empty but full of danger. See? I thought. This guy gets it. What I love about The Road is that it eschews the typical narrative terrain about heroic American ingenuity in the face of adversity and, instead, focuses almost exclusively on the emotional work of being loving and brave while fearing for your life.
When all of the accouterments are stripped away, what does it mean to care for a child? That’s what I think McCarthy was writing about more than any kind of apocalypse. And in a way, my obsession with walking long distances missed the point of the book. My lizard brain reverted to a prepper mentality, a “How will we beat this thing?” game, which is ultimately just a project of the ego. It’s actually fun, in a sick and self-indulgent way, to imagine myself walking out of harm’s way with my kids gamely trudging behind me. But what if I were caring for a disabled child or had a disability of my own? The “fun” of the scenario falls apart pretty quickly, and all that’s left is the parent’s real job: keeping a smaller person alive — ideally with the help of others.
McCarthy’s novels tell macho stories about broken men, but The Road is different. Its humanity is in its resistance to that prepper mentality that gamifies crisis and fetishizes individual choices, and it focuses instead on the emotional work of survival. As porn is for incels, so are prepper stories thrilling for people who have never had to care for anyone. The main work of survival isn’t stockpiling guns and MREs. It’s maintaining an emotional baseline of determined love.
I’m sure all of today’s best parenting practices, like Dr. Becky’s scripts or Emily Oster’s useful bits of data about how much you’re allowed to drink while breastfeeding and how to choose a car seat, will serve us all in good stead for years to come. Even when the skies turn orange, we still need to set healthy limits with our kids
and practice self-care. But there is an altogether different kind of caregiving that a growing number of people in vulnerable parts of the world learn, and we haven’t started writing books about it yet — unless you count The Road.
It’s Father’s Day as I write this. My kids have made breakfast for their dad, and they’re all eating it in the kitchen. (I’m invited to join them, but I want to finish this draft first.) I’m thinking about a scene in the book where the man finds a can of tinned pears and gives it to his son, momentarily transported by the joy of sharing something sweet. I still nurture my long-walk vision, but I know it’s stupid. There are really only two things that a parent, under circumstances of extreme duress, can possibly be thinking about: being loving and being brave.

While there were periods of tolerance with Jews in Islamic-populated and controlled regions of the Middle East & North Africa (MENA), let this chronology disavow any notion that Islam treated its Jewish neighbors "well."
The list of massacres of Jews throughout all of Europe largely at the hands of Christianity, is equally, if not even more exhaustive.
But for Jews in MENA, it all started with Muhammad, who gave birth to concept of regularly demonizing and terrorizing, the majority and minority Jewish communities, often ending in outright theft of property, and then rape and murder of those folks who would not "submit."
The horrific attacks on Oct 7, 2023, all filmed for the world to see (because Islamists now publicly revel in their barbarity of infidels), was just one in a long list of 100+ of atrocities at the hands of Muhammad and his followers:
Tumblr media
622 - 627: Ethnic cleansing of Jews (who comprised roughly 50% of the population of Medina) carried out by Muhammad and his Jihadis. Over 800 Jewish men and boys (based on a pubic hair check), were killed by beheading. Women were forced into sexual slavery, and the children were given to Islamic Jihadis as slaves. Mohammad force-married Safiyyah, after murdering her husband and father.

1165: Chief Rabbi of the Maghreb was publicly burnt alive. The Rambam (Maimonides, Moses ben Maimon), forced to flee Spain to Egypt.
1220: Tens of thousands of Jews massacred by Muslims Turkey, Iraq, Syria, and Egypt, after being blamed for Mongol invasion.
1270: Sultan Baibars of Egypt resolved to burn all the Jews, a ditch having been dug for that purpose; but at the last moment he repented, and instead exacted a heavy tribute, during the collection of which many perished.
