a more compact/organized post about my au mostly for myself where i keep all the infos and lore i posted so far in one + links to specific comics or doodles i did [will update over time]

i first started posting my AU on april 19, rlly feels like ages ago 🥹

set in a (well, even more) fantastical version of sumeru. theres a curse going wild for a long time, and no cure so far. no one knows where, when or why it spread, only that once someone becomes cursed, all that awaits is death.

kaveh, the prince of sumeru, is cursed since birth and can no longer bear to sit and wait for his end to come; especially with his mother watching him fall more and more to the curse to the point it hurts her just looking at him. he doesnt want to cause her pain and make her watch him grow weak and die; he rather wants to use the time left to find a way to break the curse, to save the others that still have a chance for a cure unlike him who is doomed to die and turn into a shadowy creature to haunt the lands.

his journey leads him to a certain, mysterious witch who came up with a spell to freeze the curse for some time - it needs to be redone regularly though to stall it. driven by his interest and curiosity in the curse and the prince, the witch agrees on accompanying kaveh on his travels; renewing the spell to give kaveh more time while pursuing the truth and origin of the curse. on their travels, they also meet a certain forest watcher and his partner, and a mercenary who become a part of their small group, and together they journey all across of sumeru in search of a way to break the curse for once and all, saving their loved ones.

the curse

its origin is unknown so far. once someone becomes cursed, they fall sick and slowly but painfully wither away as it spreads over their body. shadowy, bark-like markings spread over the body, skin and joints growing stiff and painful to move

the curse feeds on the bodies energy until it switches to the persons soul to devour it next and turn them into a mindless shadowy creature. usually the body cant handle it anymore though; the cursed one dies from weakness and their organs failing before their souls can be devoured. coma is the final stage before the body ultimately breaks down, taking the curse "safely" with them in death. once cursed, there is no "easy" way out of it. unnatural death while the curse is still active and powerful, feeding on the persons energy, will unleash it and curse everyone and everything around it. the curse is known to take, to wither everything and everyone away - the only thing that doesnt wither away are mourning flowers. those flowers bloom as long as the curse is active and festering and they start to wilt more the weaker the curse gets; therefore, the closer death is. people use those flowers to measure the time left they are able to spend with their loved cursed ones until they die to the curse. people believe the curse is what keeps the flower blooming and as soon as the body gets weaker which in turns makes the curse lose its power as well (since it cant feed on the body any longer), the flower starts to wilt more and more as well just like the cursed one until they both die. this is why some people bury their loved cursed ones with the flower as a symbol of protection for their souls in the afterlife. so far there seems no way to cure or fight the curse other than succumbing to it and taking it to the grave. still, kaveh wants to try and find a way while he can.

ㅤㅤ─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ kaveh ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───

a prince born cursed, the way it works on and in him differs from others. like the others, he constantly feels pain and on some days even weakness where he can barely hold anything; those seem to be the days when the curse advances on his body to devour some more of him. unlike the others hes still withstanding it though and doesnt show the other usual symptoms such as chronic fatigue and weakness, sickness, etc. because of being born cursed, his body seems to be used to living with it; the curse has started devouring his body and soul simultaneously already. it means his body will hold out until his soul is fully devoured. he is doomed to fall to the curse and lose himself. there are records of people who were like him, born cursed, and those have turned into shadowy mindless beasts that roam the lands, killing everyone and everything in their way once body and soul were devoured. the day that kaveh dies to the curse, his body will be controlled by the curse alone once it took over his soul and hurt everyone. he desperately wants to stop that with all his power; not to come out of this alive or have a peaceful death but to save people from the curse and the danger of himself once he turned. its not like he doesnt mind dying or doesnt wish to come out alive. its just after all those years of anger and hurt and constant questions on why him, he had started to accept his fate. he still wishes to find a way, at least for everyone else, to save them from the curse and from himself. his father also died to the curse when he was still young. now that he is also cursed, he cant bear seeing his mother in such emotional pain as they both wait for his death. instead of appreciating the time hes still there, it seems she is mourning already and he doesnt want to cause her more pain by simply being near her. its why he sets out in the middle of the night and leaves the capital without looking back.

he wears the mourning flowers in his hair to keep an eye on his condition and time left while hes on his journey. he loves to paint and dance; because of the curse and the pains that come with it periodically, he cant hold a quill for too long though. he wields his claymore by himself (yes) when he is able to; when the pain strikes, his fathers dagger strapped to his hip is his choice of weapon to defend himself.

ㅤㅤ─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ al-haitham ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───

a mysterious witch living completely unbothered in solitude. when he was young, he was banned and cast out from the witches realm in the forest for breaking one of the 6 rules, committing a sin. outside of that, little is known about him other than him being the most proficient in anything regarding spells, curses and ancient languages; some say he is able to speak all the languages known - though if that is true, only he knows. however, if asked how many languages he can actually speak, he will answer with a random number each time - or none at all, depending on his mood. (everything he does seems to be depending on his mood) witches are known to live in their realm, safe and separated from the rest of sumeru, rarely getting involved with others as in the past they often got taken away and have their powers misused by foul people. so its completely surprising to see one of them living unbothered outside of the realm, avoiding people but not hostile or fearful when approached. his grandmother fell victim to the curse. as a child, he tried his everything to become strong and study a lot, to come up with a spell to relieve her pains and break the curse. he dove deep into the study of curses and ancient runes, deep enough to reach something he was not supposed to see, in order to learn the origin of the curse to weave a spell to counter it. he did not manage to do that but he did come up with the beginnings of a spell that can halt curses for some time. it came too late though because his grandmother had passed away. shortly after, he was banned from the realm for studying the origins in order to learn the truth about the curse and how to break it. banishment serves as a way to protect; if a witch commits too many of the sins, the power of knowledge might corrupt and destroy them. the rules exist to rein the thirst and curiosity in; to protect from the truths. despite everything, haitham never ceased his studies. the older the word, the more power it holds; so basically by being a nerd he grew really strong in magical powers so there is no need for him to feel fear outside of the realm. he also knows perfectly well how to wield a sword (he has one) and how to kick ass without magic or weapons. hes completely capable on his own. haitham does the barest minimum out of comfort and doesnt reveal anything about himself which often leads to people (who dont know him) to underestimate and mistake him for the feeble mage he likes to call himself - much to their regret.

he enjoys to mess with kaveh and doesnt care if he is a prince or cursed (which kaveh actually enjoys but would never admit it, since ppl usually treat him different because he is the prince and cursed) and decides to accompany him on his journey out of his own interest in the curse, its origin and the truths, but also in kaveh - developing feelings for him and his early motivations changing later on.

haitham is able to understand animals and other creatures - mehrak and kavehs beast form included.

ㅤㅤ─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ beast kaveh and corrupted haitham ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───

now, despite haitham being able to buy kaveh more time with his spell, some time on their journey a huge incident accelerates the curse, about to claim kaveh in the end. haitham is struck by fear for the first time and decides to try one last thing no matter how much of a risk it is.

he succeeds and manages to rein in the uncontrolled flow of the curse in kavehs body. since he was in the process of turning completely and losing himself to the curse, kaveh gains the ability to freely change between his cursed beast form and his normal, human form.

he is completely stable of mind and himself but his speech is a garbled whispery mess in non human language so he cant communicate with others except with haitham.

haitham on the other hand took a great risk with changing the flow; by interfering with life and death he committed another sin and exposed himself to the curse during the ritual. he took the damage on the mind and soul that was meant for kaveh; basically splitting the curse between them, risking corruption more and more - if it didnt start already.

ok so the running bit where stede's crew has never heard of China before. is kinda weird to me. and honestly it kinda runs back to what zheng said in the last episode "one thing i've learned in my time here: you people know so little" about nobody knowing how valuable indigo is. like the show is portraying your average caribbean pirate as really ignorant and only like, ed stede and fucking ricky are on par with zheng yi sao. and i mean knowledge doesnt equate to intelligence so like the indigo thing i didnt really bat an eye at but when it was played for comedy with olu not knowing how to pronounce china i was like... hm. but the season's just started so maybe im reading too much into it but idk. it's a weird writing choice to me.

loving how at the start of last season the crew almost mutinied bc stede was a soft captain but now roach is out here embracing how all of them are "tender as hell."

love how lucius and pete have their romantic reunion chat just. fully in front of an audience

god i LOVE when we get pirate code shit. none of these rules ever make sense it's always just whatever works for the plot's sake. "that's the code of the sea: the new first mate always kills the old first mate. it's always been like that" i don't think it was literally ever like that i think the writers decided that making up this bullshit rule would add drama to the situation. it's like how pirates can win duels by rendering their opponent's sword inoperable (as if pirates ever had like ritualistic duels). or next episode when zheng yi sao is gonna kill them for mutinying against ed. i love how all the logistics of the plot are always some handwavy-bullshit bc the show just Does Not Care about this shit. this is the ed and stede show and everything else is just superfluous set dressing

we were all fixated on lucius living in the walls none of us predicted that it could be izzy living in the walls

also GOD do i relate to stede so hard sometimes. it did not even occur to stede to ask lucius how he's been until lucius points it out and then he's like "oh! right! how are you??" and he does genuinely care but he was just so absorbed in his own shit it did not occur to him to ask. like. ohhhh baby does that hit home

ok im sorry but "he's our dick" does not feel earned to me. like they use that fantastic shot of the whole crew in episode 6 last season but what's crucial abt that shot is izzy isn't hanging out with the crew. he's sitting away in the corner monologuing abt how he thinks maybe ed might not want to kill stede.

i do think it's significant tho that jim wasn't there for izzy at his worst aka threatening to withhold rations for laughing at him. like they weren't part of the vote to mutiny against izzy. but frenchie was and frenchie was like "start with his leg see where it goes" which does not seem like he's really that invested in keeping izzy alive.

also it's weird how we don't see fang at all for this bit with hiding izzy in the walls. like he would be the one i'd expect to have the strongest connection to izzy bc he knew izzy before the show started and he was hugging and comforting izzy last episode.

anyway imo jim keeping izzy alive is more abt them missing when they were on the ship with olu and the whole crew and the ship was like a family, not necessarily abt feeling loyalty to izzy specifically. i could be wrong tho who knows.

one thing i do know is that it is VERY important to point out how jim is struggling really hard with everything, archie is not. she wasnt there for the co-captaining era at all and she seems to be rolling with everything like it's all expected. this includes the wedding raid and ed pointing a gun at her last season and stuff. even now she's mostly just confused by why jim is bothering to try and keep izzy alive. but she acts like the amputation and the violence are all what she expected.

ok i completely forgot abt this scene where the crew back on the Revenge is talking in the hallway before they go confront ed but i think it's rlly interesting how jim is the only one who says anything abt how ed's sudden cheery mood is NOT a good thing. fang is like "do we think he's better?" and jim's like "fuck no!" and frenchie's like "idk he seemed pretty calm to me." like this is so fucking juicy to me. jim knew this wasn't "better." i think this is because jim kinda gets it. they know what it's like to be told you're only meant for violence. and they know what it's like to want something softer. last season i probably wouldnt have said jim understood ed's suicidal tendencies but the way jim KNOWS that this isnt better makes me wonder if they understand this, too.

Q!BBH and Generational Trauma

For a long time this has been something I’ve noticed in the halo family that I’ve strongly related to. Idk if it’s an intentional theme bbh and Dapmin (and pommin but im mainly gonna focus on Dapper) put into their characters but it’s definitely there. So heres my perspective on bbh’s character arc so far observed through a lens of generational trauma.

(Quick side note. Writing this post was a journey tm and my initial view of bbh and god’s relationship and what the afterlife scene meant shifts dramatically half way through XD)

Even if a parent does everything right, they will still hurt their children. It’s part of the job. It’s part of life. Even if we choose to be better than our parents, the scars they left will bleed onto our children. I think every family has an element of generational trauma - I certainly do but im not gonna trauma dump on yall - but the severity of it is a spectrum.

Q!bbh was cast from his home due to the conditional love of God/the Father and this has left a clear impact on him. His self worth is in the gutter and he lacked a sense of purpose. According to everything we know of bbh’s life before the island, he didnt really care for much of anything other than finding the next source of entertainment - i mean, he remembers the salem witch trials fondly because of the drama of it all regardless of the fact that hundreds of innocent women were murdered.

Was God being intentionally cruel or abusive? Probably not. From His perspective, he may see casting his angels from heaven as a temporary punishment - like spanking a child for throwing a tantrum - without really understanding the damage such treatment is actually doing. He isnt teaching his children the lesson he thought he was just as spanking a child doesnt teach them to behave, only to fear. Bbh redeemed himself in the eyes of the Father and thus was granted the choice to return home. The Father was doing his child a kindness, he was welcoming his lost angel back home because what fallen angel would ever choose anything other than Elysium? And thats the point of conflict. The Father thinks he is doing right by his child but hes only causing bbh more pain. Bbh has to choose between his own children and eternal salvation (that he knows can be taken away on a whim). His heart has been severed in two.

Bbh’s wounds from his disownment run so deep he doesnt even notice them and thus, doesnt notice how they impact his children. Dapper has taken after so many of bbh’s characteristics and a complete lack of self worth is one of them. Selflessness to the point of self annihilation. The fear of being a burden. The need to feel useful otherwise why am i even alive? Dapper was borderline suicidal because they felt useless and nearly killed themself trying to be useful by farming soul hearts and they learned all of this behavior from Bad. Bbh showed Dapper unconditional love but it wasnt enough. Bbh couldnt save Dapper from his own trauma.

Breaking cycles of generational trauma takes more than just realizing how you were raised didnt work and trying something else. Bbh never healed from the wounds left by the Father and thus they were passed down to his own son.

When i started writing this analysis, i thought that this was the tragedy between bbh and the Father. God was too stuck in his ways to understand what His child needs, what would truly make bbh happy. I thought that the Father had not changed. His love remained conditional. Bbh could only come home if he chose god/heaven. The door might be closed next time. This is his only chance of coming home. But now after laying it all out like this… it made me wonder why the Father decided now of all times was when bbh redeemed himself. My initial cynical reading was that the Father was putting bbh through a test of loyalty. He only truly earned his redemption if he would abandon his children in favor of god/heaven but now… i can see a more hopeful reading.

God watched bbh become a father. He watched bbh become a better person through fatherhood. He also watched as the trauma He caused was passed onto bbh’s child. If the Father wanted bbh to come home because he’d redeemed himself, then the Father could have snapped bbh away at any time. Perhaps thats what He would have done 14,000 years ago when bbh first fell. What if the Father recognized his mistake? What if this was His attempt to fix things after seeing just how much damage He’d done? What if he did finally understand what bbh truly needed?

Bbh was stuck in his trauma because he lacked agency in his current state. The Father still had all the power between them by holding heaven hostage. The only way bbh could ever start to heal from this damage was if he was given back the choice that was made for him. Bbh needed to choose one way or another in order for him to take the first step towards healing even if it causes him anguish in the moment. He needed the choice. He needed the freedom to refuse.

But giving freedom to your children can be scary. What if they make the wrong choice? What if they screw up and ruin everything? For a god who expects perfection from his children, freedom must be terrifying. Giving His children freedom means giving them the option to turn away from him. But that is part of being a parent.

What if unlocking the gates was an apology? Im sorry i hurt you. Im sorry i made this choice for you. I see you. I wont take this choice from you again. Its too late to change the past but you can change the future. Dont make my same mistakes.

What if it was a gift? God relinquished his leverage over bbh and gave him the option to come home. An opportunity for bbh to break the cycle. A chance for bbh to make a choice for himself for once. To free him of the shackles that tied him to God. To heal and stop his own son from continuing the cycle of generational trauma.

After all, the greatest gift a god can give is the freedom to choose one’s own destiny.

rereading ur aus and seeing so many ppl share their ocs made me want to join the dance line ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ (this is my first ask non-anon and prolly like my third ever ask so sorry for the word jumble, im nerVOUS).

I think I will name my little blorbo Stitch. The reason for her name is that she sells handmade plushies online (+ works part time at the local art store to make ends meet) and she gets hurt easily that it isn't too surprising for her to get stitches the various falls and cooking injuries. She's neighbors with Love and they get along very well (girlys with more than a few screws loose) and even gifted a green teddy bear to cabbage when she found out abt the changeling. Stitch is fully human, and at first it was for shits and giggles but it quickly became set that she had like, no magic. nothing. empty like a brick. It's to the point where, idk, I hope this works in this world, even the most normal human at least gets goosebumps/bad feeling (brush it off as the weather or just life stress) when faes are around, but she just don't feel shit. She doesn't have nor retains any magic, so faes can still get hooks in her, but like too strong of a tug and it would *physically* come straight off. Hence her random injuries, and the depth of the injury will depend on the weight of the tether. Tapping doesnt work on her either but it does make her throw up and physically ill.

Still figuring out how this would've happened, but so far my fav idea is that a fae scared her so bad as a child that something went wrong. I know this is mixing cultures, but my mum once told me (and i cannOT for my life find online material supporting this belief) that in the chinese culture one of the ways they explain why children see shit is because they retain the most connections to the Heaven Realm as newly reincarnated subjects (and the connection fades with age and blah blah). So maybe Stitch was seeing the faes so vividly that shit wrecked her to the point a screw goes loose (mentally, emotionally, magically (??) and physically (her hair grows gray now)).

The mental image that started this all is just Stitch walking in the streets looking like a fucking porcupine with all the tethers attached to her and maybe Konig passing by feeling confused that this human?? showed absolutely?? no sign of discomfort (which i assume should be unusually in his presence)??? Ghost once tried (for the first and last time) touching one of the hooks when she was chatting with Love and watches in slight horror (and surprised) as she starts bleeding from a cut on her arm as the hook disappears. Stitch just slaps duct tape (the only thing she had with her) over the wound to stop the blood with a big ol' grin and "It happens :)". 1fae1 def heard abt this incident and maybe even Price is befuddled

Once again, sorry for the word vomit, hope u at least enjoyed reading this mess and here's a giggle scribble of Stitch and Ghost + her dumb ugly mug <3

Yeah people like Stitch exist in the fae au and I have not gotten a chance to talk about them because most of the darlings have fairly run of the mill human shit going on. BUT The humans that have just zero magic, and don't retain magic to any degree are called "Sinks". Y'know because the magic just sort of sinks into them and is lost forever. The fae are a little iffy around Sinks because yeah their hooks don't catch them right, and I think even for Witch it's like walking past a hole in reality.

Konig would be very confused, Sinks aren't super common and he would probably follow poor Stitch for a while just trying to figure out what was going on. At least Ghost has to play nice because Love likes Stitch. Love would like Stitch a LOT. Mostly because she's like a golden retriever, but also because she would be so excited to have someone to craft with! Yes, please come over to her flat and sew while she journals, here hold to baby so she doesn't get fussy, no don't worry about Ghost staring he just does that.

i feel bad for any pmmm fan following me just now bc like i love literally everything ive read and watched so far except for magireco and thats what im watching rn

If Lime is on more equal terms with Mochi being in the m34th what would a battle between the two of them be like? Or would they have like a “battle” cause one of Lime’s missions was to get a read on the cat witch or something of the sort. Or angst battle that’s always steamy👀

I WAS JUST THINKING ABOUT THIS THE OTHER DAY!!!!!!!!! a fight between them would just be itching with banter and sexual tension so ofc i would love to see it heheheeh

many things to consider though on that fight.. aside from the fact that theyre in love and could never seriously hurt each other, in an actual serious fight assuming that wasnt an issue, im gonna use this as an excuse to ramble about general strengths and weaknesses (can also be applied to most witches and members of the m34th):

mochi is obviously the cat witch, extremely powerful magic. GREAT magic attacks and environmental control (ie using magic as the means but the end attack isnt actual "magic", like using magic to grab a tree and smashing them with it). she also has essentially unlimited resources in the idea that magic can do or summon anything she needs.

magic attacks alone unfortunately dont mean much against a black canvas. environmental control is still a plus (high res doesnt mean you can survive a boulder to the face), but another thing to consider is that as a witch, she cant kill anyone, and so cant fight with lethal force & has to hold back on all her attacks. another thing to consider is that the magic is limited, so she can always be worn down to exhaustion.

magic is okay (at best) for deflecting/shielding against the m34ths technology weapons (the idea is that the tech is advanced enough to be on par with magic weapons), and shes also okay (at best) at any hand-to-hand fighting (shes not amazing at it since most of her stock goes into magic, and lime is also taller/stronger so she would lose that fight). also dont forget shes very weak to water so if lime could factor that in, thats also something to consider

NOW FOR LIME, the obvious strength is the magic res. magic attacks like mochis magic swords/weapons/blasts dont do much to him. he has the tech weapons to break any magic shields she can use. as already mentioned hes taller (longer reach) and stronger so hand-to-hand is a no brainer, and more importantly hes not a witch so he can fight with the intent to kill (doesnt necessarily apply to them since theyre not trying to kill each other, but applies for a general fight between a witch and an m34th member). another thing to consider is limes running theme of being amazing at everything he does, so hes no run of the mill m34th guy, hes a cut above in terms of strength/strategy/smarts/skill

lime in particular though is cocky by nature, and a bit impatient. hes FAR more likely to do risky attacks and take chances if it MIGHT end the fight quicker, rather than taking a bit more time for a guaranteed success (kinda like in a pokemon battle when you know one more hit from the enemy will down your buddy, but you choose to attack anyway on the off-chance you land a crit and end the fight rather than using the turn to heal). also as mentioned earlier, high res doesnt mean high def so if the witch is smart enough she can still beat you by things like summoning a boat and smashing you with it. the m34th spends so much time fighting magic that they forget they can still be killed by normal things which is hilarious to me

ALL IN ALL THOUGH in a fight between mochi and lime i think lime would win. just from the fact that neither of them would be fighting full strength/trying to kill each other, and it would most likely come down to hand-to-hand since mochi wouldnt drop a building on him, lime would win.

(but in the scenario i was thinking, it was mochis grandma having them spar so she can evaluate mochis skill against an m34th member. mochis grandma is known to be hard on her, so lime held back a little more and let her win so she wouldnt have her family being like "shame...what kinda cat witch loses...."

she realizes this after the fact and when she asks him about it, he tells her something like "I know you were holding back a lot cuz you didn't want to hurt me, and I'm a lot better than a lot of people in the m34th. I'm telling you this right now: you would win against them in an actual fight. You don't need your grandma breathing down your neck for the next 4 months trying to drill more training into you." and thats why she loves him)

he actually sorta got a crush

like he saw the woman walking around the lonesome, dark roads with her hair flowing behind her every night he got out of his part time job

man's sure to get curious about the mysterious beauty that entrances him

like yeah he doesnt wanna tap that yet but maybe the curiosity to see how she looks was much greater

so by the third week he's like okay imma approach her

but not be a creep so he takes advice from his friend taehyun

who is equally bitchless but at least he knows about the etiquettes and all the things gentleman are supposed to do

he knows that taehyun knows he saw him reading a book about it

and he also got an older sister

taehyun HAS to know

but taehyun is like, bro u gotta approach her when there's people around you cannot approach alone that's creepy

and yeonjun is like, my man u rite but i only see her at 3 am

and beomgyu pitches his head in, oh that sounds like content, can I come?

so they both kick beomgyu out of the table and huddle up together hatching plans to respectfully hit her up

and they reach the conclusion and go like, excuse me, like yeah that sounds plausible

so yeonjun patiently waits for the night to come, counting the hours to 3 am

and when he's out of work he looks around to get a glimpse of her, sadness already starting to surround the expanse of his chest until saw the similar flowy hair of the woman

she was like a mermaid without the water, her hair moved as if it had a life had its own, bewitching yeonjun more and more as he looked on

until he had followed her to a dead end and the woman finally stopped, turning around to face him for the first time

she was goregous from what he could make out of her face in the moonlight hidden in the canopy of glum clouds

the few people started saying story that they saw a blur though their windows that night for few good weeks

the worst outcome out of it was that he might get bad luck for at least a a year in his love life bc of his lil crush on the witch

man's just hurt and dejected

he got himself brushed off the negative energies and changed his shifts tho

now beomgyu is after his ass to get an exclusive interview from him about his experience

and he might be more persistent than the bad luck on his love life

he is roped in by his not so good friend, beomgyu by joining him in the summoning of the age old spirit of a haunted school

at first he pretended not to hear beomgyu screeching his name from the other side of the road bc he had already blocked his number when he even mentioned the word haunted.

but he knows beomgyu, he's like a sticky gum stuck under your shoe's sole that will not fall off unless you scrub it through a barbed surface

but since he can't do that without catching a felony charge, he ignores

but beomgyu is a force to be reckoned with and he has cash

which he offers soobin and he agrees

as taehyun says, capitalism is the true horror of this world

so he goes there and beomgyu has set up his camera

and he's got his capitalistic smile on like, 'yes beloved viewers we here in your most requested school of all time'

'this is my good friend soobin he shall be my accomplice tonight'

soobin should have sensed that something would have gone wrong by the time beomgyu had linked his name with his one

but money kept his mouth shut

'the only school you wanna visit amirite'

so soobin and beomgyu both sat facing each other in the creepy atmosphere of the darkened class room that looked like it had better days

soobin wasn't really scared

he believes in them ofc but he knows they cannot be awaken by two men doing a shit show in the middle of the ni-

he could swear to his lord that he saw some bench move on its own

he told beomgyu to look and the mf was like brushing it off with his hand

'nah its just some minor ghost trying to stop nothing new nothing new'

soobin is just looking at him like beomgyu grew three head with his eyeballs about to pop

he knew it was a bad idea to tangle yourself with occult

it was even worse to get yourself mixed up with beomgyu

he really should have listened to his mother

by the time whatever they had invited had lurked even closure further causing to soobin to flail like a headless chicken, trying his best to get his hands out of beomgyu's one but man's had a death grip on the older one

but before beomgyu could finish

soobin had his hands out and balled in a fist lurching at beomgyus face then he passed out on the floor immediately

the video still went up, hit platinum and got beomgyu the paranormal investigator award and the most popular influencer that year

the sun had already set, all the ghosts already tired of him running around the house shooting every corner while insulting them and their ancestors

the last trump card was the illusion of a woman hanging in the air with her neck broken and hair covering her face

but instead of running out, he tried to interview the poor woman about the house

ended up chasing her around the stairs to get his answer and only got his goosebumps when the woman disappeared before him

left the house unpossessed with content that got him a YouTube career

goes around haunted houses now traumatising ghosts out of their own abode

and the first house? yeah the ghosts shifted, the momma was like this is not safe for my kid and the shame was far too great for them to reside in that house

so when hyuka was heard about the apartment being rented in a dirt cheap rate he was sprinting

at first the agent was like as long as I get money it's fine with me idk about someone's plates being broken at 3 am, I'll blame it on the cat in this floor

but then he saw hyuka's smile and the man's hidden conscious woke up like no he cannot subject this poor, little, summer, sweet child to a haunted apartment

man's clutching the keys while hyuka tries to pry it out of his hands while grinning so much that his lips were about to fall off

'yk i can get you better house, this house is,'

comes in close to whisper since he really isn't allowed to spill all the secrets

hyuka stares at him blankly, still not pulling away

like yes taehyun has had been haunted before but he truly cannot believe all his ghost friend did was help around the house

truth be told he was salty

like his ghosts sexually harassed him meanwhile hyukas one cook him soup in the morning

the injustice of this world even go further than the living realm

truly set a bad taste in taehyuns mouth

but then he visits hyukas apartment and as his prior roommate he KNOWS

THIS MANS CANT TIDY AFTER HIMSELF

so he's like yes I believe u

and then they discuss the pros and cons of living with a ghost

like taehyun pulls out a whole board and hyuka gets the coffee the ghost has made for him

likes yes the ghost is basically his caretaker but he literally doesn't have any privacy but then again he is livinG THE LIFE

but they decide to exorcise the ghost and call for their friend beomgyu

because a shaman is expensive and priests are judgy

they find some self exorcising books online and read through them before selecting one that had the least amount of expensive ingredients

so beomgyu turns up with a packet salt, two incense and a printed talisman

'and I got a lipstick if your ghost buddy wants to leave a message

taehyun is like bro there's pen and paper

and beomgyu sulks and threaten to leave so they make do with the lipstick for the sake of aesthetic '

they start doing as the instruction stated and start to chanting to expel the spirit

now they don't know if the exorcise worked, or its the presence of beomgyu

beomgyu had accumulated quite the reputation for being a spirit repeller

the ghost had left while leaving a message on his mirror

which was the lost of things he had to take care before saying goodbye

beomgyu cried for 30 mins after seeing that calling hyuka a selfish bitch ass for kicking out such nice people

10 - What’s a superstition they wholeheartedly believe in?

ghoul's got a lot imo he's very superstitious. he doesnt go outside for at least a day after it rains, he always has his mask on his person or within his sight bc losing it is like inviting death to come grab you, and he always counts the dead after firefights- crows and joys alike- bc he believes the number of corpses left behind can be either a good or bad omen, a sign of a lucky or unlucky future jet believes that if you see feathers around but can't see/hear any birds, that means the witch is in the area. she thinks it's bad luck to take them, too, that its disrespectful to try and take a part of her out of nature and keep it for yourself

20 - How accurately do people perceive their motives? Conversely, how well do they perceive other people’s motives?

most people see ghoul as an absolute wildcard, and for the most part they're right. he's got his own motives for any given situation, sure, but the way he responds to things is so impulsive and nonsensical, even he loses track of how his actions relate to his goals sometimes. no one ever knows what to expect of him, and that's just how he likes it. when it comes to perceiving other people's motives, ghoul's pretty heavily biased to always take people at their worst intentions. he's been fucked over by putting faith in the wrong people too many times, so pretty much every interaction he has with someone has him interpreting everything in bad faith and with ulterior motives jet is largely known for how dangerous he is, and as a result i think a lot of people tend to approach him with a tougher exterior than they need. not that he wont kick their ass if someone's asking for it, but jet's never actively looking for a fight (unlike some other members of his crew). so most people tend to be distrustful of him even though he's pretty upfront about his feelings/intentions. ppl tend to think she's as trigger happy as the rest of her crew. on the flipside, jet's actually pretty good at figuring out people's motives i think. he's not as analytical as kobra, but she's good at picking up on when people can or cannot be trusted. something about growing up with the uncertainty of the zones made her really good at being able to pick out red flags, and she knows to trust their gut when someone's giving off bad vibes

23 - How was their first time being alone in the Zones?

ghoul was first left truly alone at around age 6, but by that point he'd already been passed between so many different crews it didn't really phase him. he knew what he had to do to survive, so he kept his gun close in one hand, a small knife in the other, and he laid low in the station he'd been abandoned in until a new crew rolled in a couple of weeks later. it hurt a little, maybe, having just been dropped off with no warning again, but he didn't let himself get too worked up over it. it was fine; he was used to it by now. jet's first time alone was after both his moms were killed in front of him at around age 6 or 7. they told him to run, and so he did, and he didn't stop until his legs gave out , weak with exhaustion. he never really got the chance to grieve properly because he knew he had to survive, to keep running. he traveled mostly by night, under the cover of the stars, only waking early enough to use the last bits of daylight as a compass (and to be able to see which plants were edible). eventually, he stumbled upon a safe house where he was finally able to let himself break down fully, and it's only after he's found by someone else and his time alone passes that he realizes how truly terrified he was the whole time

xiao is the minimum that you need to know to understand and before i had things to latch onto i jumped around sonas alot it was stressful and i only made things worse by interrogating myself witch is why i said to not think about it so hard and just draw whats fun =-= i found out im a drone by making a sona and then the sona feeling way more real then other sonas/ocs like chengcuo i was just bein silly ^^

am small and can fly but am kinda flightless when xiao sits down his ingame model doesnt reach the floor and dds are kinda tall but i look more like a worker drone with dd features and there both short to avrege humans as xiao i had wings and a bird form (can fly) but i lost them when a dream-god ripped of my wings and dds have retractable wings but copper 9 has a constant death storm happeneing that acts like a blizzard so id rather walk and do my silly jumps sjchd

its also a comfort thing!!! im a bird adeptus without wings or a bird form as a dd im a living wepon every even if the dream god tore them again dds can regen our heads i will have wings again in like a minute and if i really want to hen its awkward but of i angle it right there strong enough to break other drones caseing (my wings as xiao where normal feathers my life has also been almost constant trauma and i would pretend to use finchy looking wings to hide or hug myself and playing genshin was our escape we where still plural and we would listen to alot of genshin asmr and i think thats how i formed as a fictive) i think its also linked to my hyperfixation on md and my main comfort charater right now being a N (hes the yellow dd in the gif and my pfp :3)

ive also been gaslit and a defining part of being a dd is that you used to be a normal worker drone before you got infected with the absolute solver and it did some mlp infection stuff and messed with our memories theres a whole episode about it (cw for robot gore flashing lights anf 1 line of ablism against narcissists if you click the link its the episode) having anatonamy instead of wanting it is still kinda new to me theres a theme with them about how xiao was enslaved as a wepon for the dream-god and dds arnt supposed to be unique but xiao gets to be a person and the dds are unique anyways that i resonate alot with to its nice to see the systems that let the bad things happen be villians instead of when i tell people that the thing that hurt me was school and they try to find reasons why it was my fault

Pinoko

Cutie patootie of mine whom i hath giveth him pileful, plentiful of angst from his dawn of birth. Yep, a fucking object oc.

Pinoko then was a caring, adventurous, impulsive, and labile orphan who live in a simple orphanage somewhere in Everaland. Nothing terrible happen on him, everything's good and lackadaisical. He have a roommate named Rudy, a metal rod. They both being best friend for so long in that orphanage. He is an active child, and sometimes causes trouble to caretakers (usually keeps missing from orphanage :P). He loves adventure stories and wants to be an Adventurer.

Now he is a teenager and heard the rumor of great treasures hidden at a land around Everaland. Since its a rumor we usually just shrug it off, but Pinoko keep thinking about it and wanted to find it out himself (dammit boy dont do it-). And one day, he decide to actually finding it himself. He prepares many stuff for adventures without anyone knowing.

At night, while everyone is asleep, He asks Rudy secretly about that. For sure Rudy denies that, questions Pinoko's dangerous plan, and urges him to cancels Pinoko's plan. But well, Pinoko keep insisted to go wether Rudy likes it or not. Pinoko then tells his friend that he wont be long, and left him through window.

2 days he spent on a coastal sea without guidance because he doesnt know which land the treasure is hidden. But he is having fun anyway, because its his first adventure. Not long after, he found a big rocky island with many signs floated around island. "Turn back" "do not enter" "hostile beast inside" was the sign's warning, yet Pinoko wont heed those warning since he just wanna explore the beach and nothing else. And for sure that beast is sleeping now, because he didnt see any creature there. So he's safe right?

(No. You got yourself fucked, boy)

He finnaly enters the island, walking and digging around in hopes for treasures or atleast something interesting. Not long, he sees a stone road and a small cabin. He is curious, but scared about the sign's warning. So he continues digging. But his curiosity is way more tempting, what hes going to do now.

...

He brace himself, and goes deeper to this land. This will be short, he promise himself. Entering the cabin, theres nothing, so dissapointing. But the stone road leads deeper to land's centre. More curious, he follows without second thought.

What will he found is a cavern that shines inside. Pinoko slowly peeking inside. And boy, turns out the treasures he seeks is here all along (or so he thought...). He goes inside, and takes as many things as his bag could fit them all. Jewels, goblets, and others he puts in his bag. He keeps searching and collects, not knowing something's woken up from their sleep..Youre doomed Pinoko :/

A gorgon witch suddenly snares Pinoko. The gorgon absolutely enraged by Pinoko's acts of trespassing the land and robbing their house, despite all sign they puts around the land. Pinoko being terrified and scared by the witch. He trying to reasons but stuttered and being too panic to says anything. So, the witch, like a bitch they are, goes "thats it! you are punished cruelly!!!" then electrocutes and flings Pinoko to nearby small land.

Long after Pinoko finnaly wakes up and realizes hes lost somewhere and lost his belongins. So he searches for it. He notices so much stones he sees in this land looks like various livings. Damn, who the hell leave their statues here?

He sees a critter, and the critter looks back. Suddenly the critter turns into stone. Pinoko got scared and runs away seeing that shit. On the way he keeps seeing more and more statues, and this terrifies him more. Pinoko then stumbles on a pebble and falls on a lake. Good thing its not that deep, so Pinoko gets up easily. While goes tothe ground, a snake falls on him, and he screams again.he tried get rid of that, yet he couldnt. He pulls that snake, and it hurts so much, like he just pulling his leaf.

...wait a minute, leaf?

He stops. And looks at his own reflection...

He is a Gorgon now...holy shit.

Screams of horror were let out from his mouth. He pulls his snake hair again, no avail. He tried to kill them with rocks, it also hurts, like you just suffocate yourself...Theres nothing he could do now, so he lay down and cries at his own fate. What will he going to do now? How is he hoing back now? How he's going to tell Rudy if he home?

In fear of his new self, new ability and his curse, he hides himself and sleeps in a cave...for 5 years. And one day, a bunch of adventurer ask his sleepy ass if they could use the cave as a shelter, since its the only cave exist in his land. Pinoko just agreeing and hides away from them. The adventurers didnt care, probably we asks some invisible guy. 4 days goes smoothly and then one adventurers tries the portal circle and Pinoko accidentally falls on it. They didnt even notice bruhhh.

So..where Pinoko goes now? To Planet Inamoth where its basically Earth but for Objects!!!!! LMAO

In a nutshell, he lands besides cabin on a forest. Found out about a big city. Tries to live and learn while also hiding from society. Stole a beanie. Works on a random, way too minimum wage job, and constantly changing job. Accidentally petrified some civilians two times, overly got scared and guilty, then drowning their statue body to a lake. And got two friend that randomly befriends you. You guys are all idiot.
