Au where quirks exist ever since the beginning of humanity but thought the last 200 years they started becoming rarer for no explainable reason
"for no explainable reason"? Not "because someone born two hundred years ago started eating them all"? Well, both can be true I suppose
1- humans have always had quirks so just go ahead and disabuse yourself of the idea that world history looks anything like ours now. Any boundaries humans have drawn between themselves or their spaces are totally different. Anyway, our story is set on the island nation of Akitsuba, which has begun to receive reports of children who are born without quirks- it seems impossible, but apparently the child born in Canton Province to two glowing parents but had no light himself was not the result of an affair. He is genetically both his parents child - just, without any unique plus alpha factor at all.
2- when the news breaks, Setsuji looks over at his twin brother. The two stay in a group home, and on the record, they have a spike quirk, just like their mother did before she died at their birth. In truth, Setsuji can take others quirks. He assumes he took his brother's in infancy, which why the boy can't use them, but now he wonders if his brother was in fact simply born without. He doesn't say anything, but his brother does- whispering it at night, apologizing for assuming his brother took it all this years ago and refused to even try to return it, but there's simply nothing to return, is there?
3- more people are born quirkless over time, and more people lose their quirk to AfO over time. Ujiko theorizes that quirks would get too strong, so both quirklessness and AfO are evolutions to prevent plus alpha self destruction. That is, sadly, a generous view- quirklessness is largely viewed as a horrible strange disability, and suddenly quirks become more important. Few people before had jobs that specifically used their quirks, but now no one wants to be mistaken for not having one. Many people campaign to treat and 'fix' quirklessness, trying to force activate one, study and prevent it, etc. Just go ahead and assume all the terrible things that can happen with this mindset, it all happened.
4- by the time of canon, however, quirklessness has been around for two hundred years, and it isn't going away- clearly the opposite. about half the population of the world has no quirk, and the number's hanging around 45% in Akitsuba when our main character, Akatani Mikumo is born. He's quirkless, and lives in the capitol of Higakyou, as schools there are required by law now to no longer require certain or any quirks. It's an election year, so his first semester of high school all anyone can do is talk about the candidates- especially Yagi Toshinori, a bit of a symbol for quirkless politicians and one people thought would run years ago. Mikumo, who helped Yagi carry groceries home one day and didn't recognize him outside of the bright suit, camera lights, and makeup, makes friends with a few kids at school. (Ochako, and the twins Tokoyami Fumikage and Kuroei- while the latter has a quirk, the former does not).
5- Then one day, Yagi is kidnapped, vanishing on live tv through a smokey warp. Mikumo doesn't know what to think about that, until he runs into the man on his way home from school- clearly in bad shape, with strange dark eyes that glow with some quirk he shouldn't have. Mikumo helps Yagi hide, and asks what happens, and how he can help. (AfO decided to end Yagi's use as a symbol by forcing a quirk on him and controlling him, but one of his brother's successors managed to break Yagi out first and give him his brother's quirk, allowing him to fight against AfO's quirk and withstand them safely. As for what Mikumo can do to help... he's done far more than he should already, a kind boy, but that answer isn't going to be good enough for him- he's determined to do more anyway.)

I've had prime predacons on the brain, do they have mating habits? Do they lay eggs? Since predaking is the leader of the last 3 predacons does that mean he gets first dibs if a lady dragon/predacon shows up or would it be a battle of suitors? Do predacons make good parents even with the fact they're technically clones and only have vague genetic memories of their culture to pass on?
I got sooooooo many thoughts about Predacons and their influence on Cybertron's modern-day frame-schematics, especially with that throw-away line about Seekers. Like I'm running away with it~!! 🏃‍♀️
Seekerkin can trace their frame and coding quirks back to the Predacon species that delved into the Rust Sea. Unlike their exclusive land and air kith, the sea hunters were able to escape the catastrophic radiation by diving down into the depths.
These particular subspecies of Predacon passed many traits to their descendants, including but not limited to: the sexual dimorphism of larger, powerful femmes to agile, brightly-colored mechs, the trine-protocols and flocking mechanisms, multiples in carriage, prey-drives, and superior senses akin to beastformers and mechanimals.
The Wilder tribes still use vocalizations and have behaviors that can be traced back to their ancient kin and kith via oral traditions from Keepers. This leads to a lot of tension with the Seekerkin city-states that try to erase and rewrite the history of their frames.
While Vos is framed for their trine-protocols and being a strange breed of aerials onto itself, Praxus refined the hunting tactics and flocking behavior, and Polyhex's wetlands and underground labyrinths kept polished the traits that made them formidable sea predators.
The Predacons eschewed Prima's Call and his Guiding Hand for the established city-states to remain in the Wilds. Capable of speech and sharp intelligence, Predaking's kith were the apex predators of the sky, hunting down others for food, and were terrors to the young mecha prior to T-cogs.
This is due to claims of superiority. Unlike the other frames, they didn't require the immediate protection of the Primes. On top of their massive size and strength, flight and fire capabilities, advanced nanite colonies, thick armor, and heightened senses, the Predacons have a very unique quirk: collective unconscious.
Predacons are proud of their closeness to nature and beastly frames. In their opinion, they are the second closest to Primus, outside of the Thirteen, because of it. "A gift," they decree, by the Creator to give them such wild frames suited to the planet with the capabilities to shape it.
In the oral traditions of the Wilders, it's said some of their ancient kith could bend "cold fire" aka lightning. And that's why certain landmarks in the Wastelands still stand in defiance of Time and Prima's "Forceful" Hand. It was also said that they often crossed with "the Shadow of the Light" and the "Lord of Beasts."
Out of all the Primes, they respect the inescapable strength and spirit of Megatronus, Solus' forging and might, and Onyx for his understanding of their kind as he, too, ventured to the edges of extremes. "Lord of Beasts," indeed. They are creatures suited to an untamed Cybertron.
The social structures of the land hunters are very loose and minimal. Adults are mainly solitary creatures with exceptions to mating season, child-rearing, and seasonal gatherings to collectively mine volcanoes for minerals and guide massive storms to ignite new Energon nodes- preparations for the lean portion of the vorn.
The sea hunters are smaller and slimmer than their land-counterparts, so they have strong social ties of multiple generations to maximize the survival of their young, resource efficiency, and hunting tactics.
The mating behaviors of Predacons differ by their type, but there are similarities. Do they do not feel shame over cycles; heats and ruts are simply a fact of life. Much like beastformers, Predacons have reproductive heats.
There's courting gifts of fresh kills, raw ores, and chunks of minerals as well as showing off skills.
If there's an uncourted or unclaimed female in heat, then a Dance or a Mating Hunt will occur after competition has been bullied to back down. Females in heat are highly temperamental and incredibly aggressive, so those who wish to remain single and unmated would either cripple or kill persistent hunters.
Among the sea hunters, males show off their bright colors and hues to demonstrate health and virility as well as attempt to groom or nuzzle a female of a different pod/flock. It's common for a binary or triad of males to mate-nap a female from elsewhere: proving their tactics against her and her extended kin.
Whereas the males of the land hunters will show off strength by battling other males in the vicinity to prove their worthiness among his nearby neighbors before battling her for breeding rights.
If a female Predacon (or Seekerkin) was discovered, then Predaking would bully the other males to establish dominance before stepping up to plate to fight her.
Child-rearing is a shared responsibility. Nest building and bulking it with supplies. Keeping out intruders since baby Predacons cannot properly fly until they reach near mechling stage (adolescence).
Males can't produce sparkling-grade, so females are stuck in the nest until the newsparks gain their sight and actually climb out.
Mechs do help with a special tank in their frames that reguitates a melted slag of nutrients that helps boost the newsparks' systems.
Once the sparklings can eat more solid, the sire and carrier will take turns hunting and caring the nest.
Sea hunters have an easier time as child-rearing is more communal. Newsparks and sparklings are defended and supported by well-established adults guarding the shallow nursery reef, while hunters support the pod with an influx of food.

Hey Wiz! The recent question about Eri potentially having the ability to destroy quirks ala the bullets made from her got me thinking, considering how out of control it was and how much she was afraid of it, do you think they (Eraser and others) ever considered trying to get their hands on the bullets and using one on Eri? Would’ve made things easier for her, though Mirio wouldn’t have ever gotten his quirk back. Or even attempting to create them for general use, so that adults who only suffer from their quirk can make the choice to lose it. I feel like as much as the anti-discrimination message is great from MHA, some quirks seem genuinely awful to live with.
For the first half of your question, as the second half is a lot more interesting to discuss, I doubt it would be considered. Not only were the bullets long gone by this point and the only person who could make them is catatonic, Aizawa is right there. He's more then able to help Eri get a better grasp on her powers.
Tumblr media
So I understand where you are coming from with the more ethical usages of the drug. Given the wide range of abilities and the costs of having them, I can see people wanting to get rid of them, either for the sake of convenience or for their own safety. For example, there are people who suffer from certain defects when it comes to their abilities, such as the boney guy from the All For One flashbacks, or others that can struggle to lead normal lives because of their abilities, such as a character in Vigilantes who had issues finding housing to suit his unique body. Even cases like Eri and Tomura could be less of an issue. Yes, Eri had Aizawa to help her out, but not everyone is going to be as lucky with that or have a power that is as easy to train.
However, I think there are a lot of flaws with this. Ignoring the requirements for making the drug, there are the massive ethical questions of someone using the drug in the first place. Quirks are something deeply personal to an induvial. It has a heavy impact on someone's life and identity. To remove it is something considered horrific and inhumane. It's part of what makes All For One such a monster in the setting, callously robbing others of their individuality. I bring this up because this is drug being out in the open is affectively Pandora's box. Once someone has this ability, what's to stop them from abusing it or someone else getting their hands on it for them to abuse it? At least Kai could limit the supply of it as the source of it. Even in the ideal usage of it, there could be problems. Like what if someone has a dangerous ability, but doesn't want to get rid of it?
And you could say that it's up to the individual to if they want to use it. Are you really telling me that the government or other groups would not take and abuse this power? They would be firing these off at the first sign of trouble. Some person with a problem Quirk? Load the dart and take the shot. That's not even mentioning people wanting to use them on criminals. The second they go to jail, they are going to be hit with that drug both as a form of punishment and ease of containment, which is a whole different kind of inhumane. There is an antidote, but there isn't anything stopping the government or other people from lording it over them, if they even want to give it back in the first place. You can get your Quirk back when you've served your parole or do this task for us, kind of thing. Ultimately, I think this works to show just how dangerous the Quirk Destroying Bullet could have been if it had gotten out of hand.

Oh wow first of all please let me congratulate you on your skill and good taste. I absolutely adore all of your hawks writing. It's so good and also hilarious when you want it to be. I especially love how annoyed he seems to get with song birds, and that low-key makes me wonder how he would be with a reader w a songbird quirk. Like he wants to find her annoying so badly, and in some ways he does? But at the same time he knows they have a lot of shared experiences as ppl with bird mutation quirks and that's kind of nice for him? To have someone to share that with, you know? Idk.
You're super sweet, anon. ♥
(This turned into a messy ficlet thing)
I don't know why I decided to make Hawks a songbird hater; it’s just a headcanon I decided to stay consistent with for whatever reason.
I've actually gotten similar asks like this and I'm currently hoarding them all in the hopes of one day making something out of it, because I love this idea very much. Hawks views songbirds as obnoxious hopeless romantics. Do they really need to be that loud about their love? It's like having the top 100 love songs playing all at once.
He already admitted that you were pretty cute when you both first met. Your wings were smaller and required frequent and rapid flaps, the opposite of his large and soaring pair. Very cute, along with your shyness in approaching a bird of prey such as him, but he promises that he doesn't bite. Then your singing began...
It’s instinctual, you say. Once your fondness for him grew strong enough, the urge to vocalize your love in the form of a song specially made for him became impossible to fight. He’ll predictably tease you at first. Creating a melody straight from your heart, the sound of your voice perfectly simulating the strength of your bond, giving other listeners a mere taste of a relationship they could not have. It’s corny, it’s sappy...
It’s so freakin’ sweet.
He blamed your quirk at first. It had to be some secondary ability that attracted whoever you decided to sing about, like some bewitching siren. It’s a dumb accusation; he trusts that you’d never manipulate him like that. It may even ignite a petty argument or two, but in the end, Hawks will accept it. He loves your song.
As wonderful as it is to just listen, he feels that he needs to reciprocate, but what is he gonna do? Sing back?? He doesn’t know how to do that. His instincts were telling him to show his appreciation in another way.
It’s instinctual, he says. He expresses the joy he feels around you by performing an amazing aerobatics show. It’s quite nerve-wracking at first. So many daring maneuvers — twirls, turns, dives, and flips — all just to impress you. And he has the gall to call songbird traditions excessive? So many of these moves could have killed him if he didn’t time them just right! It’s so dangerous, so reckless...
So spectacular.
As exciting as it was for the two of you to flaunt your natural skills, both of your rituals felt incomplete. You wanted Hawks to sing back. Hawks wanted you to dance beside him in the sky. One discussion later, you both decide on...a cultural exchange of sorts.
Tumblr media
You want Hawks to sing? You want him to sing? Even after he promises you that his voice sounds more unsettling than the screeching of violins in a horror movie? Fine. You even protest when he mentions practicing. “Just sing from your heart,” you say. Ugh, whatever. He warned you.
At the crack of dawn, Hawks does everything as instructed. He joins your side at the top of the Fukuoka tower, and sings his heart out. He sounds terrible, he’s certain of it, but he ignores his blush of embarrassment and keeps going, letting his passion guide him like you told him.
His song is everything you could’ve asked for. His voice was shrill, unsteady, and had absolutely zero technique. But it was so...him. So Keigo Takami. The melody carries his courage and compassion. His tone reveals uncertainty in his singing, but it also reveals the raw confidence in his love and devotion. It leaves your heart melting, and before you knew it, you were joining him in a duet, trying your best to harmonize with his...erm...unique vocals. The song went on as the sun rose, prompting several noise complaints about a ‘dying bird that needs to be put out of its damn misery already.’
You give the flustered hawk a hug and kiss for that beautiful masterpiece. You also make sure he doesn’t see those complaints. He already feels awkward enough about his performance.
Tumblr media
Alright, now it’s your turn to feel anxious. Very anxious. As Hawks led you to the seaside park, he reminded you once again that he doesn’t expect you to pull off any expert moves in the air. “If you’re really not sure what to do, then just follow my lead. I won’t do anything crazy up there. This is about trust.”
You trust that he’ll save you if anything goes wrong, whether it be during the warm-up or during the....oof, you shudder just thinking about it.
The first act has you taking off over the water, warming up your wings before your own little stunt show begins. Knowing your body’s limits, you focus on flight patterns and speed, pushing your flying abilities further than you ever have before. It doesn’t even compare to Hawks’s amazing moves — you were too scared to even attempt any of those flips — but at least you pulled off a couple spins, and Hawks looks captivated while watching from below.
You tried not to look out of breath already when it was time for act two. Hawks took flight, passing you and heading upwards. You followed, mirroring every single one of his little tricks (he thankfully kept his promise of not doing anything crazy) as you both flew higher and higher until the air became uncomfortably thin. You’ve never been this high up before.
Reaching the desired altitude, Hawks took your hands and locked them in his, bringing you in close. He gives you a few light pecks while praising your skills. “I’ve never seen you zip around like that. Such a quick and clever little bird.” The flattery almost distracts you from the final act, the part you’ve been dreading the most.
The very idea of the Death Spiral still sounds utterly insane, even as you’re about to attempt it yourself.
All you do is hover and hold each other for a minute or two, then Hawks gives the unspoken cue. His wings fold in, you quickly follow suit, and you’re both plummeting down headfirst toward the water. You did end up screaming halfway down, but at least you were still able to remain fairly focused until the end. You were just a few meters away from impact when you and Hawks simultaneously released your grip, just barely righting yourself before you could make an embarrassing splash.
Hawks tackles you hard into the ground the second you’ve recovered, hugging you tightly and attacking with rapid fire kisses.
“You did it, baby!” Kiss. “That was so intense!” Kiss. “I never thought I’d find someone to do the Spiral with!” Smooch. “You’re so brave. Thank you for trusting me!” Mwah.
You’re shaking too violently and need to go find a bathroom immediately.
---
And that’s how you and Hawks became mates and learned to better respect each other’s bird traditions. Hawks now owns a songbird calender that hangs in his bedroom.

another bnha quirk au that, i cant lie, i got from scooby doo. even though all of the villains are humans, whenever theyre in the monster costumes its like they have supernatural powers. applying that to izukus quirk: whenever izuku wears someones or somethings costume, he gets 10% of their power.
i was gonna say 100% but i didnt bc that would be too op. if he wore a suit and a darth vader helmet, hed be an absolute menace
izuku grows up thinking hes quirkless even though he doesnt have the joint. he thinks that all the way until he gets a child size replica all might costume. needless to say, it is deeply concerning for inko when her previously quirkless child throws a playful punch towards the wall and the shockwave just shatters it, as well as all the glass in the house
he does still get bullied bc hes "using other ppls quirks" but its not as bad as it was in canon. that being said, hes effectively quirkless in class bc he cant exactly wear a costume to school
his free time is spent doing quirk analysis on both heroes and villains, as well as learning to sew, so he can make the costumes himself
plenty of cool heroes dont have merch after all
his favorite hero is still all might because his quirk is incredibly powerful and easy to use
anyway although izuku is sometimes effectively quirkless, and he did struggle against the slime villain, he doesnt hang on to all might to ask him his question, so all might thinks he has a pretty quirk is on his way to drop off the smile villain without any issue
all mights horror during the exam is real when he sees the kid he thought had a weak quirk absolutely decimating robots in a costume that looks exactly like his
all mights kinda terrified for a while but then he finds out what izukus quirk is and hes like 'oh ok'
izukus current biggest problem is how to be a unique hero when his quirk requires that he copies others
he and monoma are actually good friends bc their quirks are similar and whenever monoma tries to make a vicious jab at class 1A it lands on soft cotton bc izukus just like "ur incorrect but go off" everytime

Nyx and Tamlin’s daughter part 2
Again no one really read the first part, but I don’t care! I have been inspired to write again, so I am just going with the flow. Also, I read somewhere that instead of describing accents you should just write how the accent sounds when the character speaks, but idk. If you think it’s annoying comment and I might change it for the other parts I’ve written.
"I apologize for my parents. They mean well, but I think my mother secretly still harbors negative feelings for your father."
Nyx felt it was necessary to apologize for his parents behavior. They have been less than diplomatic tonight and it must have been because of their pasts with Tamlin. Nevertheless, they invited Tamlin here tonight for peace and instead, offered spiteful exchanges. He glanced at Isa from the corner of his eye as they strolled down the garden path. It was beautiful especially at night. His aunt Elain tended to it often which made the flowers more beautiful than any other garden he had seen. He liked looking at her. Not necessarily for her beauty, although he could say with confidence that she was beautiful. She was not beautiful in the way that Elain or Mor were, but in the way that someone obviously powerful was. It was more about her essence. Everything about her was enticingly unique.
"That is strange, is it not?" She quirked a single eyebrow at him with a smirk lifting the edge of her mouth. He placed his hands in his pockets to avoid awkwardly fidgeting in the way his mother often did.
"What is strange?"
"That your mother left him for another man who zhe iz happily married to with three children, yet zhe haz ill will for him? Zeemz a bit backward, no?"
Nyx gave her a strange look. She had been hiding how heavy her accent truly was at dinner. Perhaps she had dropped her guard now that they were alone or perhaps she was tired of hiding it. Either way Nyx liked listening to it.
"Tamlin was awful to my mother when they were together. She's allowed to feel angry at him."
"Zo the story goez."
Isa stopped to pluck a particularly beautiful rose. Nyx took it from her hands gently. Only to stick it behind her ear. She gave him a small smile before they continued on their walk.
"How have I never heard of you?" Nyx asked the question that had been burning at the back of his mind since Tamlin introduced her. "You must be Pyrinthian's best kept secret."
Again, she sent him a small secretive smile while twirling down the path. Her dress made large swooping motions around her body as she seemed to dance to a song only found in her head.
"It iz tradition that young witchez are raised in their coven, completely izolated from other fae. It iz dangerous for young witchlings when their powers are not yet controlled. 'Unnatural' magic as your kin like to call it, does not lizten to the influence of the witch when their mind iz not strong."
"What can happen?"
"There are stories of young children killing their peers on accident when trying to show off."
"Is that why Fae fear your kind? Because it is unpredictable?"
"All witch magic has a price. The spirits aid us when we call onto them and they seek a price. There iz a method to the price but it iz subject to change depending on the spirit that answers. Your father was not wrong when he said blood magic brings chaos. The reason blood magic iz so feared iz because it can attract all zorts of evil spirits and monsters, which can be part of the appeal." She chuckled as she said this and shook her head. "How many times have your parents required the azzistance from a monster?"
"More than I would like to admit."
"Despite that, not all witch magic iz blood magic. Your father's ignorance iz thinking they are one in the same." Isa took a seat at one of the benches and Nyx followed suit. He sat a bit closer than newly acquainted fae should, but he hardly cared.
"So you were raised amongst your kind? Did you get to see your father much?" Nyx was curious about this secretive female. He wanted to know everything there was to know about her.
"He caused havoc and mayhem in order to zee me. They refused until my first shape shift when I was two and they realized they did not know how to help that. My mother had been zecretly sneaking me to see him before then though."
"Fascinating."
"How do you know zo much about witches?" She asked while pushing her short hair behind her ear. Nyx reached out and clasped her hand in his. He started to trace a small tattoo on the outside of her pointer finger.
"Honestly? I do not know much. A few of them have given some information over idle pillow talk though." He admitted with a shrug.
"Charming. Speak of your past conquests to your new one." She said it with a wide smile, so Nyx was not concerned that he had actually upset her.
"I would not call you my new conquest." He gave her a cheeky smile that she shook her head to with a chuckle.
"No? Zo you escort me out here to win my heart or from the goodness of your own?"
"Perhaps I escort you out here as a gentleman."
"That iz not what your reputation would suggest." She lifted her eyebrows at him.
"I have a reputation?" Nyx was wholly unaware of any reputation that might precede him unless it had something to do with his parents. Isa pulled her hand back into her own lap.
"Nyx, prince of the night court, zon of Feyre 'cursebreaker' Archeron, high lady of the night court and Rhyzand high lord of the night court. Intelligent and agile. Mediocre combat training, excellent spy potential, enjoys the attention of any and all females, and zuccezzfully gains the attention with uave charm and dashing good looks."
"You definitely did your research." He leaned back on the bench and crossed his arms over his chest as she leaned in a bit more.
"Believe it or not, those words were straight from Lucien before we winnowed here." She mock whispered.
"That seems a bit unfair. He gave me no information on you. I'd also argue I am much better than mediocre at hand-to-hand combat." Nyx felt a bit miffed that he had been described as mediocre at anything, but begrudgingly he knew Lucien was right.
"Be careful, I might be tempted to challenge you." She gave a wickedly mischievous smile before turning her head up to look at the stars. She plucked the rose from behind her ear and began twirling it between her fingers.
"What would we be wagering for?"
"The title of best fighter. Might give our parents zomething to boast about." She continued to look at the sky instead of him.
"Hmm. Not appealing enough. Perhaps for a kiss though?" He jested. Although, he imagined a kiss from her would be amazing.
"I zuppose. If you think winning a kizz will be easier than charming one from me, then you have severely misjudged me."
"Oh I know," he sent a wide, goofy smile her way. "I would need you to kiss the pain away after you kick my ass."
"Relentlezz." A genuine smile finally lit her face up. It made her even more beautiful.
"You are a mind reader, right? Can you tell me what I am thinking of?" She squeezed her eyes shut tightly and rubbed her temples with her pointer and middle fingers. It was the epitome of concentration but it only caused him to laugh and shake his head.
"You mean my daemati powers?" He attempted to infiltrate her mind only to be met with steel mind barriers. He did not think his father would even be able to get past those.
"Daemati?" She drug out the word as if she was testing how it sounded on her lips. "How does it work?"
"For some people, I can slip into their mind and hear their thoughts and experience their memories. Your mind, however," he poked her forehead right between her eyebrows. "Is too guarded. I supposed I will have to get to know you the old fashioned way."
She pushed her bottom lip out in a pout.
"That iz not fun." He laughed loudly at her expression. She seemed truly gutted that he could not read her mind. It was such an opposite reaction to how most people felt of the ability. It seemed like the deepest of privacy invasions to most. It was why he tried to limit using it as much as possible.
"Sorry to disappoint."
"Mediocre damn-ti can be added to your list." She stood up and placed the rose that was in her lap behind Nyx’s ear. He laughed but left it there anyhow. They started back towards the house.
"Daemati. And I would say my inability to infiltrate your mind speaks more to the strength of your power than a lack of mine."
She sent him a mischievous smile before grabbing his hand and twirling herself under his arm as she hummed a tune. She amused him with her peculiar behavior.
"Are you nervous to be High lady some day?" He figured she of all people would understand the anxiety he has been feeling lately to fill his parents footsteps. What if he messed up? What if he failed?
"Have not thought of it much."
"Truly?" She gave a simple nod before responding.
"I worry more about my father's death than the power I would have after it. He iz all I have left."
"I always imagined my parents voluntarily stepping down to give me the title. They seem so invincible. Perhaps that is the child in me." He did not like to imagine their deaths, but even so at least he would have a plethora of help. He had so many mentors that could show him the way. He felt bad that Isa only had Tamlin. Lucien too, probably.
"It iz sweet that you feel that way. I have zeen too much to believe that anyone is invincible."
"I just worry that I will fail. Or that I won't live up to their standards." Nyx had many a nightmares about this specific situation.
"That iz a lot of prezzure considering you are not yet High Lord." She bumped his shoulder with hers. He stumbled a step from surprise, but bumped her back.
"I will be one day though."
"What if one of you zisters get the throne instead of you? And then you wasted all dis time for nothing."
"Neither want it. Even if the power transfers to them, they have both said they will leave the title to me."
"You will probably fail and ruin your parents hard work." She said in a serious tone with a grave look on her face.
"Thanks." He deadpanned.
"But you will have me as an ally, no? And I will be ready dig you out of whatever hole you have dug. I am quite wise and known for my generosity." He could sense a hint of sarcasm with her last sentence, but felt honored that she was so freely giving her support anyways.
"Be careful, you might be underestimating how much trouble I could get us into."

All unique magic abilities so far:
Update Chapter 4:
Riddle Rosehearts:
Unique Magic "Off with your head"
Manifestes a collar around opponents neck and seals away their magic.
Fun fact: Is called that because taking away a wizard's magic is like cutting their head off.
Cater Diamond:
Unique Magic "Split Card"
His unique magic let's him make copies of himself.(basically shadow clone jutsu from Naruto)
Trey Clover:
Unique Magic "Doodle Suit"
Magic that can overwrite a component for a short period of time. Can overwrite taste, color, scent, magic...so basically anything.
Leona Kingscholar:
Unique Magic "King's Roar"
Can turn everything he touches into sand.(basically Shigaraki Tomuras Decay quirk)
Fun fact: All servants in the palace were scared of him because of his unique magic :')
Ruggie Bucchi:
Unique Magic "Laugh with me"
His magic makes people mimic whatever he's doing. (basically the shadow imitation technique from Naruto)
Jack Howl:
Unique Magic "Unleashed Beast"
Can turn himself into a wolf. Just like Link in Twilight Princess (I thought all Savanaclaw students could turn into animals at will but no...just good old Jack)
Azul Ashengrotto:
Unique Magic "It's a Deal"
As long as someone signs a deal with him, he'll be able to confiscate one of the target's magic. The confiscated magic is kept inside the contract and Azul can use it anytime.
Fun fact: Azul doesn't need a contract to take someone's magic away, but if he does it without a contract he's prone to overblot quicker.
Floyd Leech:
Unique Magic "Bind the Heart"
His magic deflects enemy attacks. (I think it only deflects magic attacks. You can probably still punch him in the face though...) This magic also makes Floyd immune to non-offensive magic like Jamil's unique hypnosis magic.
Jade Leech:
Unique Magic "Shock the Heart"
A person who gets affected by this unique magic can only speak the truth for a short period of time. The affected person will enter a trance like state and will answer any question truthful. However if a person has a high magical resistance/strong will this unique magic may not have any effect.
Fun fact: Apparently Jade can only use his unique magic once on a person, he can't use it on the same person twice.
Jamil Viper:
Unique Magic "Snake whisper"
He can hypnotise people to do his bidding. One has to look him in the eyes for it to work. The effect is not permanent, the affected person will return to normal after a certain period of time and won't remember being hypnotised.
Kalim Al-Asim:
Unique Magic "Oasis Maker"
His unique magic summons rain. Since his unique magic doesn't require a lot of mana he can easily cause floods.
Fun fact: Azul commented how helpful Kalims unique magic could be for countrys which don't have a lot of fresh water resources and that he could make a fortune with this. That greedy greedy octopus....
Please let me know if I forgot something.

I saw speculation on this going around & I’m curious to get your thoughts on it: where do you think Geten’s story might be going in the future, & do u think it’s possible Dabi will kill him? I saw ppl talking about Dabi’s noted distaste for him & how the PLF seems more of a temporary alliance in the LoV’s mind (Compress’ noted rejection of the name in his thoughts, Dabi’s use of Skeptic against his will, etc), & w/ AFO back in the picture they theorized Dabi may get his quirk & kill Geten.
Okay, so, it took me a while to grapple with this one, and in the end, I'm going to have to break my reply up into two parts. Because you asked a very simple question, anon, and my answer to the question you actually asked is pretty simple (if characteristically rambly)! But you also provided a bunch of contextualizing information about what prompted your ask, and I have a lot to say about that contextualizing information, stuff that is only tangentially related to your actual question.
Note that some of this is going to get pretty salty, but I assume you wouldn't have brought a Known MLA Stan a question like this if you didn't want at least a bit of that. Most of the salt will be in the second part, though! This first part is pretty safe!
So, to answer the actual question: I don't have a lot of solid thoughts on where Geten's story is going, because from the looks of the way the series as a whole is going, it may well be that the MLA’s story is already done. I have previously expressed concerns about the current status of the MLA mainly because of all the speculation that Horikoshi is trying to rush to get to the ending, and if Hori’s rushing the ending, I don’t know that I’d bet on Geten coming back at all. In fact, given what I can guess about the scenario, I’d kind of rather he not.
The thing is, the MLA have always been far more relevant to the League than they have been to anyone else in the cast. They’re Tomura's victory spoils; their plot beats were established to connect to the League, not the heroes, the students, or even All For One. There’s just no personal connection there, and lacking a personal connection, all they’d do is be fodder for background fights to fill page space and give the side characters something to do.
And there’s just no drama in that! Not even any tension! We've already seen the MLA characters beaten--first by the villains, and then by the heroes. Hell, we've seen Re-Destro beaten three times!(1) Based on how the raid went, there are maybe three people in the entire MLA that present a credible threat--Hose Face, whose name we don’t even know, Re-Destro, who has a repeatedly-illustrated weak point in the form of his new legs, and Geten.
While I definitely think Geten could give any of the students save Deku a run for their money,(2) what would be the point? Who would he be slotted in to have a dramatic fight with? Geten hurt Cementoss, but he didn't kill him, and none of the students are uniquely close to Cementoss anyway. Geten has never personally offended or harmed any of the kids directly. There was a time people theorized that Shouto's end game boss would be a combination of Geten and Dabi, but with the PLF scattered, that looks less likely.
From the other side of things, Geten himself has no particular beef with the kids. If he'd been on the front lines to witness the opening moments of the battle, maybe he'd have a bone to pick with Kaminari, Kinoko, Juzo, and particularly Tokoyami, but it took Geten a bit to get to the front; he has no particular way of knowing about those four, and at the moment, he certainly has more pressing matters on his mind.
Geten's primary interest, when it comes right down to it, is Re-Destro. He talks a big game about the MLA's goals, but when the pivotal moment comes in Deika, he bails on the battle that was assigned to him to try and help RD instead. He claims that pure strength is to be valued above all else, but his loyalties don’t change when Gigantomachia bats him aside like a fly or when Shigaraki proves himself to be An Strongest. Even up to Jakku, Geten is still concerned solely with Re-Destro. With no real reason to pit RD against the kids, there’s no reason to throw Geten against them, either.
The only person Geten has an established rivalry with is, of course, Dabi, but getting the two of them even in the same vicinity again is going to require breaking the MLA leaders out of jail, which clearly isn't a priority of AFO's, and he's the one running the show right now. Would Shigaraki bother? He might, particularly if RD, Trumpet and Geten all get shipped to whatever Tartarus Lite Mr. Compress and Machia are likewise bound for. But if the story is headed to its conclusion, is Shigaraki ever going to get that option?
Is AFO the final boss? If so, it doesn't seem to leave much of an opening for the MLA to become relevant again, because, again, the MLA are all about Tomura's victory, Tomura’s ascendant arc as a villain, his status as a hero to other villains (namely RD). If Deku "saving" Shigaraki from All For One is going to magically resolve all of Tomura's issues with society as a whole, because hey, at least this kid is a good person, so his society can't be so bad after all! (GAG), that doesn't seem to leave much room to get into the myriad issues with society that all of Tomura's followers have. Frankly, the only thing the MLA has to offer Deku right now that's remotely relevant to his current goals is Re-Destro's starry-eyed explanation about why he's fallen so hard for Shigaraki, and Spinner is better suited for that role on basically every level.
So that’s all been one big if. The other alternative is the ending I'm hoping we get, in which Deku and Shigaraki join forces to put an end to AFO, only for Shigaraki to thank Deku cordially and then get right back to destroying things because, surprise surprise, Midoriya Izuku being a good person doesn't absolve Hero Society of all of its many, many sins. Then I can see there being room for the MLA to return. At that point, not only is there RD’s devotion to Shigaraki on offer, but also the MLA’s ideology of Liberation, what it is, what it offers, along with, for example, more on whatever Harima Oji’s complaints were about heroes, more on what has to change systemically to satisfy Shigaraki’s grudge. That’s a story the MLA can meaningfully contribute to, and therefore a story in which Geten and his quirk supremacist beliefs are more likely to be addressed.
However, I’m not optimistic that we’re going to get that ending, and until we find out whether Shigaraki will be satisfied with being rescued from AFO (if, indeed, he survives the process at all), or whether he and his compatriots’ societal issues will be left by the wayside, I’m not yet prepared to spend a lot of time theorizing on how the MLA’s role in it would look.
As to the specific question of Dabi killing Geten--honestly? I think that moment is past. While I said earlier that Dabi is Geten’s only established rivalry, that is frankly being more generous than their relationship actually warrants. After all, we haven’t seen them interact since Deika, and literally the only time one of them has so much as thought of the other in that period was Dabi grumbling, “That icy punk sure knows how to let loose,” after Geten’s big wall of ice attack allows Tokoyami to get away with Hawks. If their continued animosity were going to be a plot point, and especially if Dabi were going to murder him in cold blood eventually, Horikoshi should have shown us the two of them antagonizing each other as co-lieutenants of the Violet Regiment.
At this point, Dabi has made his big play, revealed his identity to the world. I think he's pretty locked into the Todoroki Drama now; he has bigger concerns than going back and winning a grudge match against Geten. Also too, given the point he's trying to prove about the strength of his/Endeavor's flames, would he even want Geten's quirk? If he were to get it, would he get the "evolved" version or just the basic one?(3) Because given the precedent set by both the mechanics of Monoma's Copy and AFO's comments about Jeanist's Fiber Master, I'd be inclined to think the latter, and Geten's ice powers are way less badass without the temperature control, especially for a dude trying to wield them in concert with flames of the temperature Dabi uses.
From a narrative standpoint, Geten has already been punished for his hubris with a personal defeat, the humbling of his leader, a loss of pride in his organization, and then a second, much more damning defeat and subsequent capture at the hands of heroes. Dabi taking his quirk and killing him at this point would just be kicking--indeed, killing--him when he’s already down. It doesn’t feel like karma; it just feels malicious.
That said, in the rather dubiously scaffolded scenario that the MLA gets free and finds their way back to the League and AFO/Shigaraki takes Geten's quirk(4) and Dabi accepts it, would Dabi then kill Geten with it?
…I mean, maybe? Do people think that Dabi is that much of a sadist? Because it would be the act of a sadist, to murder a kid who's almost certainly younger than he is and might even still be a teenager, one who has just been violently stripped of any ability to defend himself, all out of a desire for petty revenge over a months-old slight--a slight consisting of Geten parroting rhetoric he learned from the weird cult he grew up in, and which Dabi has very possibly been working with Skeptic long enough to know is maybe not all that accurate a characterization of the cult's ideals anyway!
And that brings me to Part 2. ---------------------------------------
(1) Four, if you count the clone’s destruction.
(2) Even 1-A's two remaining powerhouses don't present any more of a threat to Geten's ice than Dabi did, and Shouto will only give him more of it to work with. Their advantage over Dabi is that they can both sort of fly, which might well tip the balance--one of Geten's major advantages is his ability to manipulate ice from a considerable distance away, farther away than Dabi's flames can reach, but flying opponents deprive him of that advantage. Now, Shouto's flying is fairly unstable, so I suspect Geten is more maneuverable in the air, but his maneuverability wouldn't save him from Bakugou, the human equivalent of the anger-powered jetpack.
(3) Set aside the Doylist explanations about anyone who stole Geten's quirk getting the version the audience already knows purely out of laziness, forgetfulness, or authorial fiat.
(4) And look me dead in the eye and tell me Geten would just let Shigaraki Tomura or anything currently inhabiting his body just casually stroll up and lay hands on him without protest. Not to say I think AFOmura couldn't do it, but doing it in a "cool," dramatic way would probably involve some lightning movements we have not seen him make thus far.

important question: you mentioned wand woods, so what Is everyone's? also ideally with some sort of explanation but valid if not
I CLAIM DIPLOMATIC IMMUNITY FOR THIS POST
this is going in no particular order because I'm scouring chatlogs
Under the cut because it's long, I took the descriptions from pottermore since I think they're fairly self-explanatory? but I can talk more about someone specific if anyone has questions
Claudius: Hazel
A sensitive wand, hazel often reflects its owner’s emotional state, and works best for a master who understands and can manage their own feelings. Others should be very careful handling a hazel wand if its owner has recently lost their temper, or suffered a serious disappointment, because the wand will absorb such energy and discharge it unpredictably. The positive aspect of a hazel wand more than makes up for such minor discomforts, however, for it is capable of outstanding magic in the hands of the skillful, and is so devoted to its owner that it often ‘wilts’ (which is to say, it expels all its magic and refuses to perform, often necessitating the extraction of the core and its insertion into another casing, if the wand is still required) at the end of its master’s life (if the core is unicorn hair, however, there is no hope; the wand will almost certainly have ‘died’). Hazel wands also have the unique ability to detect water underground, and will emit silvery, tear-shaped puffs of smoke if passing over concealed springs and wells.
Brutus: Fir Cedar
My august grandfather, Gerbold Octavius Ollivander, always called wands of this wood ‘the survivor’s wand,’ because he had sold it to three wizards who subsequently passed through mortal peril unscathed. There is no doubt that this wood, coming as it does from the most resilient of trees, produces wands that demand staying power and strength of purpose in their true owners, and that they are poor tools in the hands of the changeable and indecisive. Fir wands are particularly suited to Transfiguration, and favour owners of focused, strong-minded and, occasionally, intimidating demeanour.
@amusedmuralist HAS CONVINCED ME that my original “for the lulz” answer of a cedar wand (because he has a cedar allergy) is actually a perfect choice so SORRY BRUTUS YOU GET THE CEDAR WAND
Whenever I meet one who carries a cedar wand, I find strength of character and unusual loyalty. My father, Gervaise Ollivander, used always to say, ‘you will never fool the cedar carrier,’ and I agree: the cedar wand finds its perfect home where there is perspicacity and perception. I would go further than my father, however, in saying that I have never yet met the owner of a cedar wand whom I would care to cross, especially if harm is done to those of whom they are fond. The witch or wizard who is well-matched with cedar carries the potential to be a frightening adversary, which often comes as a shock to those who have thoughtlessly challenged them.
Devon: Pear
This golden-toned wood produces wands of splendid magical powers, which give of their best in the hands of the warm-hearted, the generous and the wise. Possessors of pear wands are, in my experience, usually popular and well-respected. I do not know of a single instance where a pear wand has been discovered in the possession of a Dark witch or wizard. Pear wands are among the most resilient, and I have often observed that they may still present a remarkable appearance of newness, even after many years of hard use.
Misha: Sycamore
The sycamore makes a questing wand, eager for new experience and losing brilliance if engaged in mundane activities. It is a quirk of these handsome wands that they may combust if allowed to become ‘bored,’ and many witches and wizards, settling down into middle age, are disconcerted to find their trusty wand bursting into flame in their hand as they ask it, one more time, to fetch their slippers. As may be deduced, the sycamore’s ideal owner is curious, vital and adventurous, and when paired with such an owner, it demonstrates a capacity to learn and adapt that earns it a rightful place among the world's most highly-prized wand woods.
Petra: Red Oak
You will often hear the ignorant say that red oak is an infallible sign of its owner’s hot temper. In fact, the true match for a red oak wand is possessed of unusually fast reactions, making it a perfect duelling wand. Less common than English oak, I have found that its ideal master is light of touch, quick-witted and adaptable, often the creator of distinctive, trademark spells, and a good man or woman to have beside one in a fight. Red oak wands are, in my opinion, among the most handsome.
Selene: Spruce
Unskilled wandmakers call spruce a difficult wood, but in doing so they reveal their own ineptitude. It is quite true that it requires particular deftness to work with spruce, which produces wands that are ill-matched with cautious or nervous natures, and become positively dangerous in fumbling fingers. The spruce wand requires a firm hand, because it often appears to have its own ideas about what magic it ought to be called upon to produce. However, when a spruce wand meets its match - which, in my experience, is a bold spell-caster with a good sense of humour - it becomes a superb helper, intensely loyal to their owners and capable of producing particularly flamboyant and dramatic effects.
Alec: Rowan
Rowan wood has always been much-favoured for wands, because it is reputed to be more protective than any other, and in my experience renders all manner of defensive charms especially strong and difficult to break. It is commonly stated that no Dark witch or wizard ever owned a rowan wand, and I cannot recall a single instance where one of my own rowan wands has gone on to do evil in the world. Rowan is most happily placed with the clear-headed and the pure-hearted, but this reputation for virtue ought not to fool anyone - these wands are the equal of any, often the better, and frequently out-perform others in duels.
Creed: Cypress
Cypress wands are associated with nobility. The great medieval wandmaker, Geraint Ollivander, wrote that he was always honoured to match a cypress wand, for he knew he was meeting a witch or wizard who would die a heroic death. Fortunately, in these less blood-thirsty times, the possessors of cypress wands are rarely called upon to lay down their lives, though doubtless many of them would do so if required. Wands of cypress find their soul mates among the brave, the bold and the self-sacrificing: those who are unafraid to confront the shadows in their own and others’ natures.
Dash: Alder
Alder is an unyielding wood, yet I have discovered that its ideal owner is not stubborn or obstinate, but often helpful, considerate and most likeable. Whereas most wand woods seek similarity in the characters of those they will best serve, alder is unusual in that it seems to desire a nature that is, if not precisely opposite to its own, then certainly of a markedly different type. When an alder wand is happily placed, it becomes a magnificent, loyal helpmate. Of all wand types, alder is best suited to non-verbal spell work, whence comes its reputation for being suitable only for the most advanced witches and wizards.
Paul Valent: Poplar
“If you seek integrity, search first among the poplars,” was a great maxim of my grandfather, Gerbold Ollivander, and my own experience of poplar wands and their owners tallies exactly with his. Here is a wand to rely upon, of consistency, strength and uniform power, always happiest when working with a witch or wizard of clear moral vision. There is a tired old joke among lesser wandmakers that no poplar wand has ever chosen a politician, but here they show their lamentable ignorance: two of the Ministry’s most accomplished Ministers for Magic, Eldritch Diggory and Evangeline Orpington, were the possessors of fine, Ollivander-made poplar wands.
Julia Valent: Hawthorn
The wandmaker Gregorovitch wrote that hawthorn ‘makes a strange, contradictory wand, as full of paradoxes as the tree that gave it birth, whose leaves and blossoms heal, and yet whose cut branches smell of death.’ While I disagree with many of Gregorovitch’s conclusions, we concur about hawthorn wands, which are complex and intriguing in their natures, just like the owners who best suit them. Hawthorn wands may be particularly suited to healing magic, but they are also adept at curses, and I have generally observed that the hawthorn wand seems most at home with a conflicted nature, or with a witch or wizard passing through a period of turmoil. Hawthorn is not easy to master, however, and I would only ever consider placing a hawthorn wand in the hands of a witch or wizard of proven talent, or the consequences might be dangerous. Hawthorn wands have a notable peculiarity: their spells can, when badly handled, backfire.
Kit Valent: Walnut
Highly intelligent witches and wizards ought to be offered a walnut wand for trial first, because in nine cases out of ten, the two will find in each other their ideal mate. Walnut wands are often found in the hands of magical innovators and inventors; this is a handsome wood possessed of unusual versatility and adaptability. A note of caution, however: while some woods are difficult to dominate, and may resist the performance of spells that are foreign to their natures, the walnut wand will, once subjugated, perform any task its owner desires, provided that the user is of sufficient brilliance. This makes for a truly lethal weapon in the hands of a witch or wizard of no conscience, for the wand and the wizard may feed from each other in a particularly unhealthy manner.
Adessa: Elm
The unfounded belief that only pure-bloods can produce magic from elm wands was undoubtedly started by some elm wand owner seeking to prove his own blood credentials, for I have known perfect matches of elm wands who are Muggle-borns. The truth is that elm wands prefer owners with presence, magical dexterity and a certain native dignity. Of all wand woods, elm, in my experience, produces the fewest accidents, the least foolish errors, and the most elegant charms and spells; these are sophisticated wands, capable of highly advanced magic in the right hands (which, again, makes it highly desirable to those who espouse the pure-blood philosophy).
I CANNOT find anywhere that I wrote down what wand Lyme has but I'm 90% certain that she and Julia had the same one? I liked the idea of her having the death/healing wand, since that's basically her life.

Hello Juno! Since "Laurel" Hubbard I've been researching a lot about the Barr Test and all other genetic procedures natal women have to go through to "prove" they're women before being allowed to compete. It's contradictory, in my view, to state that women with XXY chromossomes have an advantage, but, at the same time, allow XY athletes like Mr. Hubbard into major sports events such as the Olympics. Sounds like the International Olympic Comitee has no clear reasons as to why apply the Barr Test to women, because, once the reason would be ban people with physical advantages, how could a natal man not have those and a XXY be considered a threat? However, I still don't understand why some people call those tests discriminatory against natal women who happen to have "abnormal" chromossomes, because if they do indeed have an advantage over XX women that'd be unfair, no? Not as much a grown ass man competing, but an advantage nonetheless. Do you mind to share your opinions on women taking those tests as a mandatory procedure?
Hi anon, I don't know of any XXY women. I believe XXY is called Klinefelter's and leads to the development of normal male genitalia. I do know XY women are overrepresented in female sports, but whether or not this is unfair depends on your definition of unfairness. Surely, we wouldn't object to an overly tall person becoming an extremely successful professional basketball player. The fact of the matter is, many professional athletes have ''quirks'' about their body that gives them a great advantage. Michael Phelps, for instance, has a unique body that is perfectly suited for swimming. Usain Bolt, fastest man in the world, likewise has an advantage because he is quite tall. When competing against shorter male athletes, you could argue the race is unfair, but professional sports can never be completely ''fair'' in the sense it is impossible to compare equal bodies, given every body is different. Professional sports show us the ultimate capacities of the human body, so naturally the athletes will often be exceptional people.
The thing is, we segregate sports by sex because male and female bodies have different capacities. Women are actually better at sports that require elegance (e.g. ice skating) because the female body is more flexible. When allowing males in female sports leagues, you'd also create a situation where average male athletes compete against exceptional female athletes. These men are cheating, plain and simple. MTF athletes have often competed against males before transitioning, and their performances were often average. They want to enter the female league so their rank will be higher. In my opinion that's not the same as allowing an exceptional woman to compete against more typical women. Female sports are meant to show the capacities of exceptional women, not the performances of average male athletes.
I believe the testing is very complicated, however. You can simply go by sex registered at birth, but in several countries, transsexuals can change the sex on their birth certificate. Testing with hormones is probably not very reliable (and I believe it was introduced for the benefit of transsexual athletes) and chromosomal testing may not necessarily reveal someone's level of performance or their ''true'' sex (like I said, some women have XY chromosomes, for women with Swyer syndrome and CAIS). So as for the testing, I don't know what to do. I'd suggest simply going by birth certificate, because I don't support legal sex changes for transsexuals in the first place. I don't know if retroactively reversing legal sex changes is possible though. You can outlaw the practice but I'm not sure if you can reverse the changes that have already been made. I believe the book ''TRANS'' by Helen Joyce talks about the sports thing and all the various ways of testing for sex in more detail. I read the book a number of weeks ago though so I can't remember the details but she outlined how testing can be problematic in various regards

Simulacrum
The body has a problem with realising when things have really changed.
It’s simply not made with that sort of paranoia, hypervigilance, in its nerves. It is an effort, an education, to have the sort of perceptual sensitivity that Xiaohu is so infamously known for amongst her fellows. Or maybe more than that; some days she thought of it like a rewiring. Like those before had pulled her squirming channels from her and threaded something more cool, mercurial/reactive, into her.
With more forgiving suns, moments of revelation like this debunked that conspiracy. Brought her feet just a little closer to the soil.
It is not common to be so placidly adaptive - to forget the onset of newness until a coincidental look over shoulder reminds her that there used to be yellow earth where a sea lay; blood where a smile forms.
It is something very innocuous in someone who is more ambiguous than that.
And it is something that only strikes her when she is engulfed in it, this, them, us.
This is calm.
This is calm. Not calm as in, quiet. Nor calm as in, there is no reason to be otherwise. Not the kind of calm she feels in most other moments, people, where the dearth in her is like an impossible weight. This is calm like, she is only existing and nothing more intensive than that.
What a rare, delightful, circumstance.
Could she say she has felt this same lax note outside of this?
Not really.
Not with other people.
And it doesn’t feel this same sort of pretty when it’s just herself.
It feels inaccurate to attempt to say that she’s gotten close. She’s never gotten this close, not under this name, this life, with those others. Nor the skin previously worn. Calm as in, steady and accepting, is not the same as calm as in, comfortable.
Avenai’s always been her respite from it all - that sanctuary to slam the door shut on, to barricade with her shoulders riding against wood, and to breathe within. Always, always, and always. Ever since the start, before anyone else, after anyone else. No one could even move to deny that bond between them, to overwrite it. To say that she loves Avenai is too shared of Xiaohu’s feelings with others. It feels better to label it as she is connected with the stark woman.
Torithas, well, Torithas was a bit more new to this, them, us. But not unappreciated and never unwelcomed. He is his own sort of safety. Not a room, nothing so bleached (and thus so uniquely Avenai), but an oak. A gnarled thing bigger than a person will ever be, everlasting and enduring. A metal shorn-and-scarred thing that simply crept its wood over attempts to shape it. Someone she could always shelter under and speak to, and observe the fashion in which his very grain hears.
That is calm.
Calm as in, comfortable.
This, them, us.
They crowd her currently, atop of this bed meant to be grandiose to Eastern travelers, and thus entirely too small to contain the two Garleans. Nevermind adding herself to the mix, nevermind the meals taking up the scant space not occupied by form, and nevermind how they all have made reverent room for the little booklet centered here.
This, them, us.
“...everything is a story, like I was telling Torithas. The doublespeak in how we speak - allusions to previous literatures, people. But then it goes deeper than that. The language, itself, is structured like a story. It requires a sort of interpretation that is not there in the same way as Eorzean or what was spoken in Ilsabard.”
"It is the knowing of calculus before physics and architecture. Without the formative context, the varying levels beyond are without concrete source and explanation...  or, the way statesmen utilize history and understanding of the propagated narrative to cajole concessions. The methodology goes deeper, the way you describe—— as though the self referentialism comes down to the very syllables and rhymes in the words, which I do not believe is shared in other languages, for the most part."
IT IS NOT. ABSTRACT. Decisive motions of his broad hands communicating thoughts as lengthy as their own in such few ‘words’: this commentary on the unfamiliar poetic fashion of language that Xiaohu has been introducing to the man more and more. Its keen contrast when held up to the concrete, uninterpretable, and demanding language insisted to the two militant individuals here. Strange, this idea of communicating through ideas as ‘optional’ as these stories.
“‘Bingo’,” the foreign slang rolls from her tongue as she presses her fingers delicately against a column of characters. “We’re starting with proverbs, tastes of wisdom, because I think it’s the easiest way to get an idea of how this all pulls together. Let’s look at this one for example:”
“This is the character for ‘self’ from ‘eye’. Look at it side-ways, and you see that eye. The sclera flanking top and bottom, and the iris in the middle. Then you see this dot right here, yes? That’s a finger, it’s pointing at the eye, the individual, like you’re pointing at yourself.”
“‘Arrow’, see how you can see the head, then the shaft, then the fletchings in this context. And ‘mouth’ because it’s open like one does. This is what makes a word for ‘knowledge.’ Knowledge is swift and sharp, like an arrow, and it comes from you speaking; your mouth.”
“You see that dot again from ‘self?’ It shows up here again because you’re pointing again, but with a different context. Those strokes below are a foot. You are pointing at a moving person; thus you are speaking of someone outside of you. This is a character you use for others.”
“‘Bright’, the first character is ‘sun,’ the second is ‘moon.’ Sources of the world’s light. Following?”
“Yes.” YES.
“Put it all together without looking at it as a story, without being artful about it, and you get gibberish - self knowledge other bright. It sounds wonderfully unbright, it’s a crime, really, to read it this way. But if you read it more delightfully, with more spirit and more willingness to have fun with it, you get something much more meaningful. Let’s look back at this character again,”
“This is a proverb that deals with the self as we’ve established, right? So now this character is no longer as literal as it is when you force it to stand by itself. It’s as abstract as the pictogram that forms it. This is no longer ‘other’ but an extension of the self. You are looking at yourself as you would look upon others. You are examining yourself objectively, this is what this means now.”
Her fingers drags back down to 明.
“And this is not literal in this context either. Now we source the context that we are speaking of something to do with knowledge. Now it means bright as in, wise; intuitive; comprehending; understanding.”
自 知 之 明
“‘Know oneself’, this phrase says, in a nutshell. Wisdom comes from being able to look at yourself objectively; judge yourself accurately; these are just a few ways, out of many permutations of the common tongue, we could understand the phrase, right?”
"A calculation that has many answers, variable by..." she watches Avenai pause, lips pursing, "...context. It seems... an artistic method of communication, rather than concrete." Another gap of her words, and then a raise of her mismatched eyes above. "It suits."
SUITS repeats after the engineer; agreement, simple as that. MANAGEABLE CONFUSION, he’ll figure it out as they go, simply. That comparison of ‘muscle memory’, training, given to him earlier is still prominent in his approach to many new bewildering concepts introduced.
Then she watches him concentrate, thoughtful and deliberate as always, then demonstrate his feelings about the lesson entirely. Something not missed by the other, who follows up right on his heels, committing that signing to her mind in snapping gesture.
This.
ENJOY TeEnAjCoHyteach.
Them.
Her smile is more closed than Avenai’s, but no less in its magnitude. It is only more wryly applied, more observational than simply pleasant. This view of their quirks tumbling together, this exchange of their feelings. She feels more good, more calm— calm as in, comfortable— than she has before. And she’s felt this way since they’ve started this vacation of their’s, since they have shared this much time with one another.
Us.
“Now, here’s how you actually say...”

secret baby ch12
When the day comes for Dabi to meet ‘the broker’ and start his new job doing whatever Giran asks of him Dabi spends the morning a nervous wreck. He scents his entire apartment. Trying to give himself something to do and trying to calm his nerves at the same time. He refuses to let go of Kiyoko as he paces around his apartment rescenting it and after almost 3 hours of this behaviour Kiyoko becomes fussy. Unhappy with being held and being so close to Dabi when he reeks of omega distress.  She continues to whimper and cry as Dabi gets ready and starts full on wailing when he sprays on a scent neutralizer.  Covering up his natural scent and making him smell like nothing in particular unless someone gets very close to him. Tucking his head against Kiyoko’s skull one he takes a deep breath, breathing in her unique baby scent.
Knocking on the door to her babysitters apartment feels weird, like he’s moving too fast or too slow, the knocks sound extra loud. Dabi is more grateful for the neutralizing scent patch covering his distress. Kiyoko keeps scrunching her nose at him and making small unhappy wails. She’s not truly started fussing again yet but she might once Dabi leaves. The door opens and the young alpha female that babysits the buildings kids coo’s at Kiyoko. Thankfully she’s never tried to take Kiyoko out of Dabi’s arms, always waiting until Dabi has said goodbye one last time and hands her over.
“Ill see you tonight okay Kiyoko? Daddy will be back tonight and then you can stop making those grouchy faces.” He kisses the top of her head and vows to himself that no matter what he has to do tonight he will come home to Kiyoko in one piece. If that means dropping more bodies then he’s just going to have to be okay with that. “I love and be good.”
Kiyoko wails and reaches for him when he passes her to her babysitter but that's normal at this stage.
At just 5 months Kiyoko has started recognizing people and doesn't like being left with her sitter or being held by anyone she doesn't know.
Dabi waits until the babysitter has her inside and he’s heard the lock turn in place before he turns around leaving her behind.
The meeting place end’s up being a cafe that looks very nice for the neighborhood it's in. its welcoming and decorated in neutral tones with porcelain cups to drink out of instead of disposable ones. It feels very upscale, like somewhere Dabi would have gone when he was Touya, it leaves him feeling even more anxious.
“I'm here to meet someone,” He explains to the barista and asks for a water cup. Something to throw as a distraction if he has to make an escape. It won't buy him anything more than a few seconds but something is better than nothing.
“Ill let him know you're here! Feel free to order anything that catches your eye! Giran’s people get snacks catered to them on the house during meetings!” the barista chirps at him in her polite customer service voice. She didn't smell nervous or stressed from what he could tell. Unusual for people in customer service.
“Um, just water please. I'm not sure I'm one of his people yet” Dabi mutters and turns the cups he is given in his hands. Finding it hard to stop fidgeting,
He sits at a table close to the door and slowly sips at his water. The barista messes around on their phone before going back to what he assumes is an employee area. His legs won’t quit bouncing out of nerves. Then an older man in an ill fitting suit comes out smoking a cigar despite no smoking signs posted all over posted in clear view. There’s 3 from what Dabi can see focusing on them as the man takes his own sweet time coming over after talking to the barista. One small one near the registrar and one against the back wall, the last one being on the wall the table he chose is shoved up next to.
“Alright sugar relax.” the man puffs at his cigarette and sits down. The barista brings him a coffee moments later. “You don’t have to do anything you're not comfortable with.”
“What if i want to leave right now and not come back?” Dabi glares across the table. He may sound kind but Giran oozes sleezeball vibes. Maybe it's the poorly fitting suit and the cigar. Probably the nicknames too.
“If you want to change your mind and leave you can. But I promise you won't be able  to remember how to get a hold of me or how to find this lovely establishment again.”   Giran takes a drink of coffee and pulls out a nice tablet from his suit’s jacket.
“What do i call you?” shoulders sloping a fraction Dabi finally relaxes into his chair.Giran smelled of cigar smoke and coffee blended with the scent all alpha’s carried. It was oddly comforting to Dabi.
“You can call me anything you’d like but most people call me either ‘the broker’ or my name Giran.” he messes around on the tablet for a few minutes before he turns it around showing Dabi the screen.
“I, there’s legal things here? Including actual delivery?” relieved, if a little confused Dabi looks at the ‘listings’. “I don’t understand. I, look. I was given your number for a job I cremated someone about to hit his girlfriend. Also a lot of these would take me months to pay you back. “ it would still be more than he was making now. Still a tight budget to raise Kiyoko on though. He would be getting a large porton siphoned off to Giran. He didn’t want to get himself wrapped up in a loan shark. None of the jobs were exactly descriptive either.
“Oh! Mira told me about you! She’s not usually the type to recruit these sort of people so I assumed you would want to join her in being an escort or something on that level.” Giran swiped the tablet back and swiped over a few tabs. “This more like what you were expecting honey?”
The list was much much longer with bigger wages listed in parentheses next to each title. Maybe enough to pay Giran back in a couple weeks and live off of. Underneath were job descriptions detailing what would be expected of him for each and instructions to contact Giran about anything they were unsure about.
“Any of these i want?” there was a listing for anything from drug running to lookouts to something called ‘observer’. Apparently that one you just sat around in whatever locations you got texted and reported as many things as you noticed. Guards, people, Heros and where they stopped. Giran obviously wasn't a small time small information broker new to doing this.
There was a listing towards the bottom that grabbed Dabi’s attention right away. It offered a generous sum of money and was called “shovel”. Looking at the description it looked like debt collection and body disposal. It was something that paid very well and Dabi could easily due considering the nature of his quirk, with a little pain he could pay Giran back very quickly. However It required a two man team so he would be working closely with someone, who most likely would be nosy and wanting to hang out after ‘work’. It would require getting close to his partner as well, knowing enough about them to make sure he didn’t run to the police with a description of Dabi.
Dabi could probably just as well survive off any of the other jobs though. If he chose something he wouldn't have to work  with anyone else and have them snooping around in his business.
“I would like to try messenger for now Giran.” he tapped at his decision on screen, highlighting it. Messengers did a variety of things, delivering things for Giran he didn't want to send through the mail as well as verbal messages. He had explicit rights to defend himself if he needed to and it seemed to be lower risk than just dropping bodies.
“Alright then, can we get a name for you to go buy?” Giran took his tablet back and put it away after making a few notes on it.”I have to admit I was hoping for ‘shovel’ with that quirk of yours I heard about.”
“You can call me Dabi, and I'm not sure how alright I would be with ‘shovel’ as something to start with.” Dabi shrugged, still tense. This felt slightly too easy to do.
“Well let's cut a deal here ‘Dabi’ how about if you end up dropping a body or two out on the job
then i’ll give you the ‘shovel’ rate of pay for saving me the work of calling in the other guys? Sound good?” standing up Giran held out his hand for Dabi to shake.
“ I'm not going to say no to more money.”  Dabi shook Giran’s calloused hand and made to leave. Feeling disgusting and wanting to get out of there as soon as possible.
“Ill text you times and places a week in advance, If your not feeling well let me know. We can probably work something out and i don't want to be losing people because they didn't feel like they could stay home”
“I look forward to hearing from you then I guess.”  That had gone a lot better than expected, except for signing a bunch of legal papers it was what Dabi suspected a real job interview would have been like.
Kiyoko reaches for Dabi when he comes he goes to pick her up. Freshly showered and smelling like himself again. She’s only recently been able to control her little limbs enough to be able to reach for him and it melts his heart every single time.
“Dad got a job princess! We’re going to be living like royalty.” Dabi purrs at her as he carries her home.
Kiyoko gurgles at him and waps him with her arm.
“Yeah I know, you're always so upset when dad has to leave you with the babysitter. Well i don’t like it either.” opening up his apartment door he switched the radio on for some white noise and put Kiyoko in her high chair. Starting to cook something for himself and heating up Kiyoko’s formula. Which she gurgled and reached for the moment she saw it. Wrinkling his nose Dabi walked around his apartment opening the windows, it still smelled like his distress several hours later.
“Looks like i was worried for nothing Kiyoko, let's hope it stays that way.”  Later when Dabi had tucked Kiyoko into her crib for the night he paced around the apartment. Doing the dishes in silence and putting away any toys Kiyoko had out until the last minute when she couldn't keep her eyes open.   The  apartment still felt slightly empty and when it was this quite it only amplified the feeling.

I don’t intend to make Steven Vs. The Multiverse (feat. Conga Tourmaline) a full-fledged series, because that would require more time and effort than I’m willing to give at the moment (plus, I’m already working on another fancomic). But I do want to do a bit more with the premise, as well as Conga herself. So for now, here’s some pictures, a little bio about her, and some fun facts.
Also, I’m gonna come out and say it: she is very much overpowered. If that fact disinterests you, you may turn away now.
NAME
Conga Tourmaline
RACE
Gem (Fusion between Peridot, Pearl, and Sapphire)
CLASS
Throne-holder
COLOUR
Green (#2cd629)
BIO
Conga is a semi-forced fusion of three different gems; a cracked Peridot, a Pearl, and a Sapphire (To distinguish them from the canon characters, we will refer to them each as "Conga [gem]"). After her components discovered a phenomenal power source (The Throne of Loki) hidden in Jupiter’s red spot, they decided to go rogue against the Diamond Authority, and claim it for themselves.
Now ascended to “Throne-holders,” and with the power of the Throne split between them, the three gems believed that they needed to fuse in order to unlock their full power, as well as for some other, greater purpose. However, after multiple failed attempts at fusing, Conga Peridot decided to build and design a special suit that would lock the gems into one body, effectively forcing the three to remain fused.
Some time later, Conga met another Throne-holder from another universe (more about him some other time). Believing that he knew their true purpose, Conga appointed herself as his student, and began learning magic and traveling the multiverse.
FUN FACTS
To say that Conga loves music would be an understatement.
She is aware of the fourth wall - a trait that is shared among Throne-holders.
Conga is terrified of the Diamonds, even though she has enough power to go toe-to-toe against White. She’s also afraid of Pink, but she’s learned to recognize “Rose Quartz” and Steven as friendly (more often than not).
If Conga was to appear in an actual episode of SU, she would be highly aware of songs and musical cues. The theme of the Diamonds would set her on edge every time it would play.
She has sensors that detect the presence of the Diamonds nearby. This would have detected Steven even before he knew he was actually Pink Diamond.
Though the fusion into Conga is forced, her component gems can eject themselves from the suit anytime, at will. The suit just removes the hurdle of needing to be in sync.
Yes, those are in fact robot legs. The suit was originally built from a set of limb enhancers.
She prefers order, rhythm, and harmony, just like a well-composed musical piece.
Because her component gems are not entirely in sync, she sometimes flails about, especially when she needs to perform multiple different tasks.
Also because of her unstable, forced fusion, she sometimes refers to herself in plural (”we” instead of “I”).
Her “breasts” are actually a fifth arm, outfitted with a steel gauntlet. Makes for a great surprise attack.
Including her hair, she is slightly taller than Garnet.
Her weapon is a double-neck guitar, which she refers to as her “axe.” She plays music to boost allies and inflict pain upon enemies. She can also split her “axe” into dual “axes,” which she uses as if they were actual axes.
After meeting her mentor, whether on accident or purpose, she has begun to copy some of his quirks and mannerisms. She probably would have fully committed to it, had she not realized that her mentor is completely insane (and proud of it).
Similar to Malachite, Conga does not have her own unique voice - when she speaks, she sounds like a Pearl, a Peridot, and a Sapphire all talking at once.

Where You Left It.
Warning: Just quirkless Izuku.
Fandom: My Hero Academia
Characters: Izuku Midoriya and Mei Hatsume.
(This is an AU where our dear Izuku has remained quirkless, luckily he still managed to get into the Support Course of U.A. High, but will the upcoming hero in training, Mei Hatsume aka Stalgic make or break his day?)
Tumblr media
“Okay! Um yes! I’ll have that new piece of equipment ready for you soon! I just need it approved, uh yeah. Thank you!” Izuku nervously waved goodbye to one of the students from the Hero Course. Man, it must be so amazing to be a Hero. He had always loved them and it was no surprise he was the biggest fanboy of All Might. He had once dreamed of becoming a Hero as well but the sad reality was that he was quirkless, he still remembered how he felt the day he realized he couldn’t achieve his dreams.
But that didn’t stop him from trying, even if he couldn’t be a Hero. He could still help them and he was fairly intelligent, so he made the choice to put his skills to work that way. He shifted his focus to support and studied various weaponry and costume designs so by the time he enrolled in U.A. he would be a shoo-in for the support course. Though he was the only quirkless student in U.A., he would make his years at the school count. But every day seemed the same to him until she stepped into the workshop.
Izuku was working on his latest gadget, one that would help the certain student in better channeling their electricity quirk. He was dressed in his usual workshop attire, which consisted of a dark tank top, thick sweatpants, boots, gloves with the index finger cut out and finally his protective goggles. Sometimes working on such advanced pieces of equipment required a little more help. His goggles while mainly used for protection also served another function, they were designed to magnify. Which helped him tweak the littlest of details on his inventions.
It had been a boring day in the workshop, he had only gotten one request for a super-suit change and the rest of his day was spent waiting for the approval on the current gadget he was working on. He was thankful the approval had come in during the afternoon. Izuku sighed, the noise echoing in the semi-empty room. Apart from his pile of inventions and the tools, there wasn’t a soul. That was until he heard the heavy doors begin to open, “Hm?” Izuku paused and leaned up, pulling his goggles so they were now resting on top of his head. Who could be coming into the shop this late? He was about to slide off his work stool when a loud voice pierced the air. “HELLO!” He watched in horror as a leg came up and kicked the doors the rest of the way open.
His jaw dropped at the bizarre behavior until he noticed the person’s familiar features. The pink-colored dreadlocks, those set of bug-eye sunglasses that rested on top of their head, and those unusual arm gloves accompanied with the strange shoe accessories they wore. “MEI HATSUME is here!” She announced and Izuku nearly stumbled onto the floor as he scrambled off his stool. He knew who she was, Mei Hatsume from Class 1-A. She had already come up with her hero alias, Staglic and she was known for both her unique style and combat skills. In addition to her seemingly endless amount of energy and her quirk ability.
She was definitely someone Izuku wanted to study, he had taken plenty of notes on the other students of class 1-A which helped him keep track of their quirks and ideas on what possible gadgets could help them. But Mei was by far the strangest hero in training and yet at the same time, it fascinated Izuku. “M-Mei Hatsume, you’re uh ...you ...Staglic! Your hero alias is Staglic right!?” He questioned with a large smile on his face. “W-Wait, uh let me get my notebook!” He said, before scurrying off to another table where a small notebook laid. The front of it was torn and peeled off, but the inside was just fine.
Mei, however, stood there in the middle of the shop. Hands confidently on her hips as she curiously glanced around. Taking note of the various tools that hung on the wall, locked away behind thick glass. There were also large piles of what looked to be gadgets, maybe a few weapons tossed in there as well. Though she didn’t know the support course student’s by name, she had seen the green-haired boy walking around school. She was almost certain everyone in U.A. had heard of her. She did make herself quite well known in her short time, mostly due to her destructive combat habits.
Still, she smiled and watched the boy return, standing before her. Holding that notebook and a pen in his hand, ready to write down as much information as he could get out of Mei. “Yup!” She finally seemed to reply and placed her hand on her chest before bowing. “That’s me! MEI HATSUME, you better REMEMBER that name because ONE DAY I will be the NUMBER ONE HERO.” She spoke confidently and Izuku cracked a smile, it was nice to see someone so confident in their abilities. “Uh, do you mind if ...I ask you some questions?” His voice was soft and his slightly shy personality was showing through.
Mei, however, didn’t seem phased. In fact, her eyes brightened. In a flash, she moved. Dangerously close to Izuku’s face, their noses almost brushing together. “SURE!” She grinned and tilted her head to the side. “BUT ...first I NEED a LITTLE help with a NEW idea for a COSTUME improvement. Think you can HELP ME with that?” She questioned before flashing a playful wink at Izuku who at the moment looked terrified and his cheeks were tinted red. He wasn’t too used to close contact with others, in fact, most people just explained what they wanted calmly and left. Not barged in, kicked doors and had no idea of what personal space was.
“Uh ...s-sure um ...” Izuku stuttered out before taking a step back. Lowering his notebook, he took a deep breath and looked at Mei. “So um, let me just get my other ...notebook.” He said, dipping his head slightly as he walked back to his work table and grabbed another small notebook. “I usually, write down what my client wants so I can reference it later and make any tweaks to it. So uh, what were you thinking?” It actually made him kind of excited, at least he’d have something else to do work on. “HMM well ...” Mei began, reaching up to tap her chin which almost made Izuku scared for what she had to say. After an entrance like that, he could only imagine what wild things she could want.
“Ah!” He cried out when Mei was suddenly in his face once again. “I was thinking of something to improve my balance! Support these babies!” She didn’t hesitate to kick one of her legs up, holding it midair. She was known for her excellent sense of combat but she didn’t have the best footwork, thus the glorious idea of coming to the Development Studio. Izuku blinked, his eyes shifting from Mei to his notebook. “Uh, improve your sense of balance um ...okay.” His hand worked quick across the page of the notebook.”You want ...some type of leg support balance system then? I could ...create something similar to leg braces, it’d be more flexible though.” He explained quietly, hoping that would satisfy the hero in training.
“SUPPORT BALANCE!?” Mei practically screamed before leaning back and giving Izuku the thumbs up. “Now that sounds COOL!” She laughed and Izuku wasn’t entirely sure if he should be happy or fearful. He let out another cry when Mei slapped his back, causing him to jolt forward. The notebook slipping from his hands and hitting the floor in the process. “THAT’S exactly the KIND of THING I expect from a member of THE SUPPORT COURSE.” Grinning, she bent down and swiped that notebook. “Here you GO, guy!” Chuckling once more, she practically shoved the notebook back into Izuku’s hands causing him to grunt. “Uh ...thank you?” Mei’s personality was certainly explosive, it was almost scary.
Izuku readjusted his goggles, they had slipped off to the side when Mei slapped his back. “Um, I’ll just draw up the blueprint and ...I have to get it approved first but I’ll let you know uh, when I have the green light ...okay?” The nervous boy shifted on his feet, his fingers digging into his notebook. “Um, if that’s all, could I ...finally ask those questions or?” He was hoping he could get some information but Mei didn’t seem to be on the same page. “Mm, SORRY GUY!” She said, in her usual loud voice. “But I have SOME HERO training to get to. MAYBE next TIME!” Izuku felt his jaw drop and he held up his hand as Mei began to walk away. “But w-wait a minute!” He said, hoping his attempt would make the young hero stop in her tracks.
However, the pinked haired girl just turned on her feet. Looking at Izuku before shaking her head. “Yes?” She questioned, placing her hand on her hip. “Um well ...could I at least ask one question before you leave?” Izuku said sheepishly, looking at the girl with an almost pleading expression. “Hm GET me those LEG balance THINGS and we’ll TALK.” She promised before heading to the door again, Izuku almost expected her to kick them again but to his surprise, she only waved goodbye and left. His shoulders slumped, clearly disappointed he didn’t get the chance to ask the questions he wanted. “I guess ...a hero is always busy ...” He sighed before returning to his worktable and pulling out a fresh piece of paper. Maybe the faster he got Mei’s request finished, the faster he could get the answers to his questions.
