#aoyama is the real traitor

Has Dabi ever killed a woman or child? In his broadcast he says he's killed over 30 innocent "people" but doesn't clarify any further. If he wanted more shock value he could have said something like "I've killed over 30 innocent people including a mother and her 3 children." Also in the alleyway scene where we see him burn 4 people alive they were all men. In the forest raid arc he goes after Aizawa and purposely avoids killing Aoyama who he knew was hiding. The hero Snatch he kills was also a man. He attempts to kill Hawks who is a man, but doesn't immediately try to kill Tokoyami when he intervenes. And yes, I know he's tried to kill Todoroki, but thats because of a personal reason. I feel like this speaks volumes to the type of person Dabi is. He doesn't kill indiscriminately or for the pure joy of it. He isn't like Shigaraki who will and has killed hoards of people regardless of age or gender.
Omg I’ve thought about this often and I actually agree with you!
*cracks knuckles*
It’s time for some Dabi analysis~
Firstly, we’ve only seen Dabi killing people when he was looking for new members, he’s killed thugs who he didn’t see fit for the LOV or fit for the society in general, lowlife villains who didn’t have a purpose and were overall just trash.
When Dabi came back to the hideout we see him saying “Am I the only one who’s looking to get us new members?”
And Twice says “You’re going around burning people to death!”
And Dabi replies “Not my fault nobody’s worthy”
Which results into me thinking that Dabi has actually killed plenty of thugs/ lowlife villains that he didn’t see fit for the gang, that’s all. I can see Dabi coming up to them, they either shoo him away and start acting tough, or after some talk Dabi sees that these people are not worthy, so he incinerates them all.
And also let’s not forget Dabi has burned plenty of people when they we’re fighting against the Liberation army in Deika city, after all they were attacking the LOV so Dabi had to fight too. I’m sure that’s where the body count reached higher.
We know Dabi participated in the summer camp attack against the students who were in fact still minors, but yet again, it’s clear that Dabi wants to kill all heroes out there, to him the society is full of fake heroes. After all the UA students aren’t little children anymore, they’re one step closer to becoming real heroes. I don’t see them being an exception to Dabi, he will still kill them if they get on his way.
Aoyama’s case was a bit different because SPOILERS: Aoyama was a traitor, a spy for AFO , and he told the LOV where the summer camp is, and Dabi knew that.
Also in Tokoyami’s case we don’t see Dabi instantly attacking him when he comes to save Hawks. We see Dabi in fact lecturing Tokoyami, trying to open his eyes about heroes, Dabi also says “they even got UA kids involved?” or something like that. He is kinda stunned that pro heroes had to involve students in a real war, meaning Dabi has to fight against them as well now. Because I don’t actually see Dabi priding himself at killing students.. he wants to go for the real deal, pro heroes.
I think at some point Dabi knows all UA students and many kids out there are some naive brats who blindly believe in heroes, because thats the society they grew up with. Dabi doesn’t hesitate to show them the truth, tell them how things really are.
But when Tokoyami still refused, Dabi then decided to finally attack, having no other choice.
So yeah from all of this I agree, Dabi doesn’t just kill people for the joy of it, I’m sure as hell Dabi has never killed small children or women, or a mother with her children, families etc. His killings have been focused on heroes, lowlife villains or random thugs in shady alleyways.
And even then, we see Dabi overthinking, the death of these people still haunting his mind and driving him insane…
Ordinary citizens haven’t been Dabi’s focus to actually kill. He didn’t do the TV Broadcast for no reason, because he could easily kill all of them. But no, he wants to use other ways, to convince them instead, open their eyes and show them how hero society really is.

aoyama breaking up with you
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing: yuuga aoyama x gn!reader
tags: spoilers for season 8, angst, break up
Tumblr media
during his time at UA, aoyama had always tried to keep his distance from everyone
he couldn't get attached to anyone, knowing he would eventually have to betray them
but you had still made friends with the boy. no matter how annoying he was, no matter how little effort he had put into the relationship, you still stayed his friend
you were too kind and despite his original plans to keep his distance, he fell in love with you
yet time and time again, he had to betray you. put you in danger. sell you out to all for one
you got badly hurt during the USJ incident, because he told the league of villains that his class was going to be there
during the summer camp, the same thing happened again. he cowered behind a bush, as he watched you desperately fight the villains
all those times you got hurt, it was his fault. and you didn't even know!
you fell in love with a guy who did all those horrible things to you. you fell in love with a filthy villain like him
things seemed to be looking good between the two of you, when aoyama broke up with you out of the blue
you didn't understand why. had you done something wrong?
aoyama never gave you a clear answer. he told you it just wasn't meant to be
it isn't until much later when he's revealed as the traitor, that you slowly start to understand what had happened
despite that, you were still in love with him. you had been even after he broke up with you. you always would be in love with him
the boy you fell in love with, that was the real aoyama! you knew he was a kind person, who never wanted to hurt anyone…

BnHA Ch. 372 & 373 - Review, parallels & comparisons: Shining the light on leaders, followers, and independent thinkers.
Fun fact: This chapter is called “Friend” and so is Ch.319, where 1A confronts Endeavor in Nezu’s office and declares their intent to find, follow, and work alongside their friend Midoriya. Ch.258, with Hawks befriending Twice, is called “FriendS”.
372 & 373 give us more Present Mic with Shirakumo/Kurogiri, woohoo! I’m psyched, as I’ve grown to love Mic along with Aizawa (and my main blorbo All Might). But I feel like Mic gets the short end of the narrative stick quite a bit. Shirakumo was the undisputed leader of the Rooftop Trio, followed by Aizawa, with Mic rounding out the back. Shirakumo pulled them both along.
Tumblr media
Without Shirakumo, Aizawa goes off on his own, even though his quirk is “best suited for teamwork.” Mic stays in their “formation” behind Aizawa, patiently waiting for his friend and giving him nudges when he can. Mic never intentionally shields Aizawa, as Aizawa is too headstrong for that. (Plus being shielded plays into Aizawa’s insecurities, so Mic doesn’t go that route.) Instead, Mic follows Aizawa’s lead.
That means Mic at his most aggressive & protective when he doesn’t know what’s going on inside his friend’s head. Unfortunately, that’s a lot, because Aizawa doesn’t actually open up to anyone. His friendship with Mic is based on proximity, presence, and shared trauma, not talking about feelings. As far as we know, Aizawa has only spoken about his injury and recovery with Nezu, and even then Aizawa cuts off Nezu’s speech about a wisp of hope to ask about Toga.
Tumblr media
The one time Mic and Aizawa get close to talking about something meaningful is after Tartarus, when Aizawa asks Mic what he’d do to the people who turned Shirakumo into a Nomu. But Aizawa gets cut off and has to tend to Eri.
Tumblr media
We never really know how Aizawa feels, and neither does Mic. When Aoyama is revealed as the traitor, Mic initially asks the kids to slow their roll and think about how Aoyama betrayed them. He wants to make sure a second betrayal isn’t in the cards. Aizawa then surprises Mic by offering Aoyama a chance, which causes Mic to fall in line behind his friend. I wrote about it more in the UA traitor chapters here:
In 372 & 373 we see Mic rush to Kurogiri’s side. Mic even leaves Shoji and Koda to handle the crowd — despite Aizawa asking him to protect the boys — so he can confront Spinner and stop Kurogiri from helping the villains. There’s a few things happening here: (1) obviously, Mic doesn’t want the heroes to lose; and (2) he doesn’t want his dead friend desecrated further as a puppet used to hurt the heroes. Mic addressing Kurogiri as “Shirakumo” and saying “if you’re still our friend…” has immediate parallels to Ch. 254, where Aizawa asks if Shirakumo is “still in there,” because if so then they can still be heroes. If Kurogiri wakes up and helps the villains, then everything Shirakumo stood for is gone, and Shirakumo is truly dead. Everything Aizawa hoped — that the trio could be heroes together — is gone. Aizawa’s hope dies here.
Tumblr media
Kurogiri telling Mic he’s the protector of Tomura is also a direct callback to 254, where Mic reacted viciously until he saw that Aizawa was engaged and truly trying to find the wisp of his friend beneath the Nomu-fication. Mic knows the stakes for society and for his best friend. The question is what Mic will do next. Does he keep trying to reach Shirakumo? At what point does he concede his friend is really, truly, completely dead? If Kurogiri can think for himself — real, true independent thought — doesn’t that make him more than a puppet? What’s the difference between a programmed Nomu and an angry mob blindly following their leader’s voice?
Tumblr media
Spinner also has a friend stuck beneath AFO’s distortions. Shigaraki may not be a “Nomu,” but he is a puppet with almost no will of his own anymore (it’s all down to Tenko). It’s not an accident we get flashbacks for both friend groups showing when times were simpler and their wills were their own. Look at Shirakumo’s hand and Spinner’s hand — open and gesturing towards their conversation partner. Horikoshi is drawing interesting parallels between Shirakumo/Shigaraki as victims of AFO, and Mic/Spinner as the ones who follow their friends.
Tumblr media
Mic didn’t become a hero for Shirakumo or Aizawa, and in many ways he’s the opposite of Spinner — he’s loud, very public, and has always had his own style. People cosplay Mic and not the other way around. But Mic is often sent on missions without backup, and at heart he wants Aizawa to stand tall.
Tumblr media
Aizawa has always had insecurity surrounding his quirk and his abilities. Unlike Shigaraki, who steadily grows in power until he’s overtaken by AFO, Aizawa has steadily lost power and accumulated injuries (courtesy of the League) throughout the manga. He’s angry, and Mic is angry for him. Moreover, Mic has his own trauma surrounding Shirakumo’s death, since the villain who brought down the building on Shirakumo used Mic’s quirk to do it. Aizawa then had his first big heroic moment taking down that villain by himself. How did he find the will to do it? He heard Shirakumo’s voice urging him on through a speaker — and Mic KNOWS it. Seeing Spinner try a voice recording to force Kurogiri to do AFO’s bidding HAS to be offensive, and it makes sense why Mic broke the device.
Tumblr media
A voice can be powerful. A voice can be used to lead. It can be used to destroy. It can push someone forward or pull them into the past. How will Mic use his voice and his Voice in this situation? And when is Shinso showing up with his voice modulator????
Horikoshi really uses this chapter to draw an explicit parallel between voice and light/fire. There’s the heroic fire, started by All Might, that continues to burn bright and colorful against AFO’s black-and-white world of “me” and “not me.” When people stand tall and their voices are heard, they’re brought into that light.

It's funny how, for a series that loves stressing how dangerous hero work is, we never really get any meaningful deaths (or any deaths, really) on the heroes side. The only deaths we do get are either a) not permanent or b) contradictory or thrown in for pure shock value.
Sir Nighteye dies due to being impaled through the abdomen, yet both Gran Torino and Bakugou somehow survive this very same thing.
Midnight isn't mourned at all and is essentially forgotten outside of a panel of the students grieving for her (and we never even saw her bond with any of them in the first place).
Crust dies due to coming into contact with Decay, yet Pixie Bob survives this very same thing.
Bakugou has a fucking ninja-jean heart keeping him alive from being impaled through the chest.
We have Class 1A and 1B full of characters who are hardly (if ever) utilized, yet they somehow keep surviving all of these near death experiences. Why not kill some of them off to show high the stakes are?
Edit to add: It could be used to show 1A + Aizawa becoming a "family" for real (through trauma bonding, but still) and bring way more emotional weight to Izuku leaving and Aoyama's reveal as the traitor. It could show the teachers actually caring for the students by mourning their deaths and the circumstances that led to their deaths.

BnHA Chapter 340: Now Where Were We
Previously on BnHA: Deku and Iida were all “hey Mei, I know you don’t have a lot of spare time in between constantly launching yourself at people boob-first, and singlehandedly MacGuyvering U.A. into the fucking Death Star, but we were wondering if you could lend us a hand in fixing our costumes.” Mei was all, “sure thing, here’s an upgraded pair of Movie 1 Gloves for you, anyways off you go and have fun saving the world!” Mt. Lady was all, “can you kids keep a secret?? so uh, just between you and me, I’m not a real teacher, and I’m not actually sure what I’m doing here hanging out with you guys right now.” Class 1-A was all, “don’t worry, your secret is safe with us Mt. Lady, well anyways time to assemble our CLASS 1-A SEARCH SQUAD!” The chapter ended with A BUNCH OF DIFFERENT PEOPLE getting ready to DO and/or TALK about A BUNCH OF DIFFERENT THINGS. Classic cliffhanger ending. lol this chapter really did not hold up on a re-read. I’m so sorry BnHA 339. You meandered so that future chapters could hopefully get to the damn point already.
Today on BnHA: All Might is all “time to reveal our shocking and completely unpredictable battle plan of splitting up all the villains for more easily digestible mini-boss battles, using our newly acquired trump card, the handy dandy U.A. traitor!” Aizawa is all, “[cracks knuckles] time to drop some motherfucking love and compassion onto my traumatized student in order to talk him into doing this INSANELY DANGEROUS TASK for us, except that somehow I manage to do it in a way that’s genuinely moving and heartfelt and somehow not manipulative at all lol.” Shinsou is all, “hello, it’s me, making my miraculous return after three whole years of plot inactivity, so anyway what have I missed.” Well shit. Glad I’m not the only one, Shinsou.
---
(just a handful of quick notes here since it’s been a while! (1) as always, these are my completely blind first-time-reading reactions to the chapter. (2) as of today, I am very much NOT caught up with the manga, but will keep you posted on my progress. currently I have read up to chapter 340, a.k.a. this chapter right here lol. and (3), I have been spoiled about one major thing (explained more in depth here) which will happen later in the series, and while there are no detailed references to said spoiler in this post, there ARE a couple of vague throwaway lines because I have absolutely no self-control. so just giving you guys a heads up for that! if you absolutely don’t want to risk getting spoiled, I would highly recommend catching up with the manga first before reading any further.
anyways, onward!)
OH MY GOSH IT’S SOME BUILDINGS!!!
Tumblr media
WHAT A THRILLING WAY TO KICK OFF MY FIRST NEW CHAPTER OF BNHA IN ELEVEN MONTHS. TRULY HIT THE GROUND RUNNING
lol they literally just thumbtacked a handwritten “LOV/PLF COUNTER-FORCE HQ” sign on a wrinkled piece of paper next to the door. how far we have fallen from the days where the heroes were holding their war councils in huge NASA ground control rooms filled with hundreds of TV screens
okay good, at least they went out and recruited Hawks to be one of the people presumably planning this whole thing
Tumblr media
one of only two people (the other being Momo) whom I actually trust to be able to come up with a reliably smart plan. fingers crossed this turns out better than his last big Ultimate Hero Final Battle Plan, though!
Tumblr media
interesting! I assume they do still know about the whole Aoyama situation though, seeing as they even told Mt. flippin’ Lady lol
OH MY GOSH, RAGDOLL? heck yeah. great to see her finally back in the thick of things again. even if she can’t participate in the actual battle, she’s still a fucking hero goddammit
wow this entire next page sure is something
Tumblr media
“every pre-cat-ion” breaking news, we’ve just been informed that there is a warrant out for Caleb Cook’s arrest
MEOW
MYEAH?
NOT YOU TOO, HAWKS
EVIL MEOW
I know that last part is just her randomly tacking her cute dattebayoisms onto the end of this entirely unrelated sentence, but unfortunately the damage has already been done. now all I can think about is the League of Villains out there rampaging in the streets and meowing menacingly at people
anyway, so on to the planning and stuff
lmao wait, what
Tumblr media
DID YOU PAINT THESE BY HAND, ALL MIGHT?? DID YOU BUY THEM LAST MINUTE ON ETSY AND PAY A FORTUNE IN EXPEDITED SHIPPING. surely it must be the latter. but can you just imagine All Might sitting at his kitchen table at 3am, hand-painting a refrigerator magnet to look like an adorable chibified version of HIS MOST HATED ENEMY
hmmmmmmmmmmmm
Tumblr media
I’m actually on the fence about this lol. I mean, it makes sense on paper. lord knows they had enough trouble taking on just one massively overpowered final villain, so who even knows what would happen if they added a second one to the mix
but the problem with the “just take them down separately” plan is that it means they’ll also have to split up their OWN forces, which are already heavily depleted. not to mention that the BnHA heroes are always at their best when they’re all fighting together. so anyways, yeah, I’m not too sure about this
so blah blah blah, Tomura is now stronger than crusty!potato!AFO, big surprise. and they’ve also figured out that the two AFOs can communicate with each other via radio waves or whatever. okay yeah, but doesn’t that mean that even if you do split them up, they’ll still have a big advantage? unless you figured out some way of jamming their telepathy somehow
“should they attack together, we have no hope of victory” lol if you say so. I’m pretty sure all of the U.A. kids combined with all of the remaining A-list heroes could hold their ground fairly well, but clearly I’m not supposed to be questioning the authority of this statement so ALL RIGHT THEN
OKAY BUT DOESN’T THIS JUST PROVE MY POINT THOUGH
Tumblr media
“if they’re so powerful together then why didn’t they team up against S&S?” “because they definitely would have definitely lost.” ????????
anyway so now All Might is saying that they need to separate TomurAFO and Potato AFO (PotAFO, if you will) by at least 10km. so is that the max range of their telepathy or something then? that’s so oddly specific though
“oh and we also need to split up Dabi from them as well” ah okay lol, I see where this is going. it’s finally time for the final battle, meaning we need to assign each of the main characters to their personal final villain, yeah? great. awesome. except that they only JUST got reunited all together as a class again sob. you’re really going to do this to me again now?? just like that?? goddammit
LMAO I completely forgot that Nao’s right hand man is an actual literal fucking cat
Tumblr media
oh my god. what I wouldn’t give to have seen his reaction to all of those puns and MEOW shenanigans from a few minutes earlier. just standing there in the corner with a disapproving frown. “I’ll have you know I find this all very demeaning and culturally insensitive” sorry about that Sansa
anyway so now All Might is all “YEAH EXACTLY, WE HAVE TO DIVIDE AND CONQUER ALL OF THE VILLAINS ONE ON ONE! WHAT DO YOU THINK WE SPENT ALL THAT TIME PAINSTAKINGLY BUILDING THEM UP FOR?? IT’S THE FINAL BATTLE FOR FUCK’S SAKE, WHAT ELSE WOULD YOU HAVE US DO, MAKESTE” okay okay fine I’ll shut up now, geez
oh shit lol
Tumblr media
somehow I momentarily forgot all about Aoyama. possibly because I haven’t seen him in eleven months!! so this is where we’re finally going to get into the nitty gritty of that “let’s use Aoyama to set a trap” plan that Aizawa shamelessly stole from Kaminari all those moons ago
All Might is all “it’s actually pretty messed up of us to be using this poor boy when he’s already basically spent his entire life being exploited and manipulated by people” and he’s not wrong though, damn
but Nao is all “very true, but to be fair this is the literal apocalypse, and he did technically make his own bed, and also our backs are REALLY against the goddamn wall here,” which is also true. still leaning more toward All Might’s side in spite of that, though. poor Yuuga
OH SHIT, SPEAKING OF???
OH DANG
Tumblr media
do they really have to keep him tied up like that?? he’s just a kid for fuck’s sake. and it’s not like they aren’t capable of handling things if he does try to escape, I mean this is Aoyama we’re talking about here, he’s not exactly an all-powerful criminal mastermind
man they both look so fucking sad. Yuuga looks so ashamed. this is every 1-A child’s worst fear. they can go toe to toe with the scariest villains out there and not be fazed. but a disappointed dad??? have mercy, sweet jesus
“so after going back and forth on it a bunch, we finally decided that he’s probably not going to blow up.” thanks for the update, doc. meanwhile I just had a completely unrelated thought about certain spoiler related things, oh fuck. but now is not the time to start speculating about that! not when we have the world’s saddest detention session unfolding right before our eyes
Aizawa Shouta is sitting here wearing an eyepatch and a hospital gown and probably hasn’t showered in like three days, and despite all this he is STILL somehow the hottest character in BnHA and it’s not even close
Tumblr media
okay but there are like a thousand reasons why the threat of imminent murder would be infinitely more useful than an actual murder, though. like this doesn’t really make any sense. “why would AFO bother to threaten Aoyama if he could simply blow him up if and when he betrayed him?” uh, gee, maybe because he would much prefer if Aoyama didn’t actually betray him in the first place?? what, do you think U.A. traitors are so fucking easy to come by? in this economy??
awwww
Tumblr media
I mean, of course he is? :( man, and now I’m wondering if there’s been a single day since his enrollment at U.A. that Aoyama has not spent being constantly terrified about a whole damn slew of things. this poor fucking kid. Horikoshi please be kind to him oh my god
oh my god, yes, exactly
Tumblr media
he’s afraid that deep down he’s a bad person. he’s afraid that AFO will kill him. but interestingly, what he’s most afraid of, is BEING afraid. he’s afraid that if the others put their trust in him again, that when push comes to shove he’ll still be too cowardly to do what’s right
talk about ironic though. because to me, that’s a sentiment that basically confirms that he does have the heart of a hero deep down. I’m telling you guys, every single time you show me a character who is flawed and afraid, but is trying so hard to overcome their fears, and trying with all their might to become better, you will reel me in hook, line, and sinker every. single. time. seriously, how could you possibly not root for this kid now
OH MY GOD YUUGA NO
Tumblr media
holy shit. hey Horikoshi, this is me, a certified angst-lover, asking you to tone it down just a little here, goddamn. yes we get it, he is tormented by years’ worth of accumulated fears and regrets and feelings of worthlessness and he doesn’t see any way that things can possibly get better, holy shit, we get it okay??? THIS IS MY FIRST CHAPTER IN ELEVEN MONTHS! THIS SHOULD BE AN OCCASION OF TRIUMPH, SO WHY THE HELL ARE YOU OUT HERE MAKING ME CRY
HOLY SHIT
Tumblr media
somehow I forgot just how utterly ruthless this man is capable of being for the sake of his students. this is a dude who literally expels kids on a regular basis just to put the fear of god into them. also he is seriously so goddamn hot. it’s straight up ridiculous
oh wow this whole page just came straight for my heart
Tumblr media
Yuuga’s fear as he tries to talk himself into what he fully believes is a suicide mission. Aizawa’s blunt assessment of the heroes being no less ruthless than the villains when their backs are to the wall. but then the way he just HITS him with that “you’re still my student and I’m still your teacher” line, and how he says it with such finality. and then the face Aoyama makes in response!!
OKAY, WOW
Tumblr media
ABSOLUTELY NONE OF THIS IS FAIR YOU KNOW!! YOU CAN’T JUST HIT ME WITH THIS BRUTALLY SIMPLE PANEL OF THE TWO OF THEM JUST SITTING THERE WITH ALL OF THE OTHER VISUALS STRIPPED AWAY SO THE FOCUS IS ENTIRELY JUST ON THEM, AND WITH THE WALL BETWEEN THEM ALSO SYMBOLICALLY REMOVED JUST LIKE THAT
AND YUUGA BEING SO SMALL. AND AIZAWA BEING SO STRONG AND SAFE AND STABLE AND FIRM, AND HIM HAVING SUCH UNCONDITIONAL LOVE AND COMPASSION FOR HIS STUDENT DESPITE EVERYTHING. “FUCK THAT, YOU’RE GONNA HAVE A HAPPY ENDING BECAUSE I FUCKING SAID SO AND I’M YOUR SENSEI AND THAT’S FINAL.” okay yep. tears coming now. thanks a lot, Horikoshi. wow. just wow
lol I truly believe that if Horikoshi ever did truly try to kill off one of the 1-A kids, Aizawa would literally come to life and emerge from the pages and straight up murder him
Tumblr media
welp. there you have it. absolutely no room for argument there. SENSEI SAID YOU’RE GONNA LIVE, YUUGA, SO I GUESS YOU’LL JUST HAVE TO DEAL WITH IT!
fsdljkf
Tumblr media
yep. that’s right. deal with it. dlfkj don’t mind me I’m just gonna sit here dissolving into sobs again
WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS WARM FOND EXPRESSION GODDAMMIT
Tumblr media
I AM ALREADY A PILE OF MUSH, HOLY HECK!! CAN I LIVE. CAN YOU JUST LEAVE ME BE HERE ALREADY HOLY SHIT
wait what
Tumblr media
uh. the path of “none of you problem children are allowed to die on my watch, are we fucking clear on that”? that path?? or the path of marching headfirst into very real danger because they have no other choice, because they’re one of the lynchpins in the heroes’ desperate plan? because that latter path is one that I’d prefer to have as few children walk as possible, ngl
-- OH MY GOD
Tumblr media
“HELLO, SHINSOU HERE” UH, EXCUSE ME, MISTER, DON’T YOU HAVE ANYTHING TO SAY TO ME? AFTER BEING MIA FOR LIKE A HUNDRED AND TWENTY CHAPTERS AND FOUR AND A HALF ARCS?? YOU’RE JUST GONNA HANG HERE FROM THIS FUCKING TREE ALL NONCHALANT, WITH YOUR FANCY NEW HERO COSTUME AND YOUR SPIDER-MAN POSE THAT YOU STRAIGHT UP RIPPED OFF FROM YOUR DAD?? WHILE SAID DAD SITS THERE CHUCKLING OVER HIS “NEVER FEAR, WE’RE TOTALLY PUTTING SHINSOU IN AMPLE DANGER AS WELL” REVEAL? “DON’T WORRY AOYAMA, WE’RE NOT JUST RISKING YOUR LIFE, WE’RE RISKING MULTIPLE CHILDREN’S LIVES, BUT WE’RE DOING IT ALL TOGETHER AS A FAMILY” truly the most heartwarming of sentiments lmao
well damn. that hype and anticipation is definitely starting to build now. I am so damn fearful for all of these fictional kids’ safety, especially now that I’m watching the War arc play out again in the anime and remembering just how brutal it was. but at the same time I can’t deny that I’m super excited to see the culmination of everything. like, this is IT, though. this is THE moment, THE battle. no more safety arcs. no more training. we are done holding back, and that is as terrifying as it is exhilarating. I am so not ready for any of this, but IT IS HAPPENING WHETHER I LIKE IT OR NOT, so I guess I’ll just do my best to enjoy the ride
-- oh and lastly, I almost forgot. before we wrap up, there’s just one last thing I wanted to add here...
Tumblr media
so it begins.

No but for real, Aoyama deserves more respect as a traitor. Imagine what it was like for him during the War arc, he must have been terrified.

Remember how Hori made us think Hakagure was the traitor and he left it as a cliffhanger only for it to be revealed that Aoyama is the real traitor? What if he makes us initially believed All for One is Izukus dad only for something else to happen?
Honestly anon, you cant really compare this two situations with each other and I will explain why. First of, hori never hinted in any kind of way that hagakure is the traitor. She NEVER acted suspicious or weird around others. She always was a cheer- and joyful young teenage girl around everyone else. Never did or said something that could be considered sus. The ONLY reason why a lot of people suspected her to be the traitor is because of her QUIRK. She is invicible, that was the only reason why people thought she is the traitor. Compare that to aoyama: from his VERY FIRST introducion in the manga something about him seemed strange. Me and a few other people like @psychomurderz startet to believe that he is the traitor LONG before the reveal happend, because at one point the hints hori gave us were just to obvious. In fact a lot of people who were certain its hagakure said: "aoyama is just to obvious. There needs to be a twist, otherwise its just bad writing or boring." And what was the result? Exactly the most obvious choice was the right one.
If a chicken looks like a chicken, makes sounds like a chicken and walks like a chicken, you can be sure IT IS in fact a chicken and not a dog!
Hori planted the hints that aoyama is the real traitor already at THE VERY BEGINNING of his story, people just claimed there needs to be a twist for a twists sake. The moment hori making it look like as if hagakure is the traitor was not so much a cliffhanger but nothing more then a red herring. It would be foolish of us to think that hori isnt aware about what his readers think or what theorys they make up. He was simply teasing hagakure as the traitor without the story showing any hints or evidences for that, because he knew most people would eat it up and revealed the real traitor right in the next chapter. Personally (and I hope that doesnt sound arrogant) I KNEW it was a bluff! Maybe its because I have already read a lot of storys and was part of many fandoms and at one point you just get when an author is serious about something and when not. I knew hagakure was a red herring, I knew severus snape was in love with lily potter since reading book 3, I knew in yashahime it was adult rin inside the tree and not kagome and so many people called me delusional and crazy. Guess who had the last laugh in all these examples 😏😉
So you see, dfo has pretty much nothing to do with hagakures fake reveal, because there are tons of hints and evidences for dfo while there was NOTHING that backed up hagakure as the traitor, except that people found her quirk fitting for a villain (poor girl) and that aoyama was to obvious. Like I already said, sometimes the most obvious choice and easiest route is the right one. Really good authors dont do twists for the sake of it, they plant the seeds throu out the whole story for readers to pick them up. Subtle enough for readers to question it, but still with enough evidence for it not comming out of the blue and people realizing that something is going on with that specific character or that specific situation.
So dfo has way more in common with the aoyama traitor reveal (and interesting enough people claimed with both theorys its to obvious to be true), because hori planted the seeds for both theorys from the very beginning. Aoyama was portraied as sus from his very first appearance in the manga and chapter 1 gave us already the first dfo hint, with introducing us to izukus quirk doctor, who a little bit later is revealed as afos minion and most trusted follower. Hori wove a connection between izuku and afo by connecting them with the same doctor.
Also garaki doesnt take everyone as his patient. He is the best quirk doctor of whole japan and only takes patients with a lot of influence and money like the todorokis. Inko and izuku dont fit that image AT ALL, except if hisashi is someone way more then just a normal business man with a normal income. An other hint we already got very early is hisashis name. The meaning of hisashis name no matter with which kanjis you write it, all fit all for one so perfectly like a fist on the eye. Hori will NOT make his readers initially believe afo is izukus father with putting (espicially if we remember how many people still deny it or say its way to obvious) so much hints in the story since chapter 1 just to make a twist for a twists sake. He is a better author then that! And now in the latest chapter even hawks realizes that something weird is going on with afo and it has nothing to do with rewind. Hawks realizes that afo doesnt trust afomura around izuku and afos silence about that matter speaks volumes. He is not worried about being rewinded to nothing, he is not worried about afomura, he doesnt even trust him. Afo is in a hurry and worried, because of izuku. Because remember izuku was never supposed to be part of that battle.

I have vigilante Shouto brainrot, so here are some vigilante Izucrew headcanons:
!! INVOLVES SPOILERS FOR THE UA TRAITOR ARC !!
The izucrew (consisting of izuku, Uraraka, Iida, tsuyu, momo, Tokoyami, monoma, shinsou, mei, Aoyama, and Shouto), all sort of grew close after the ua sports festival
Uraraka, tsu, Iida, and izuku were already relatively close before the sports festival, but after that, their group both grew, and became even closer
Tokoyami grew closer with Uraraka and izuku after the cavalry battle, and was added to the izucrew group chat (the first word suggestion that come up when I type “izucrew” is “army” and honestly? Yeah)
Hatsume became close with Iida and izuku after their respective rounds. Iida came up to compliment her on her tech, and she told him more about her babies.
During this time, izuku walked over to ask her some questions about them and she now had two people to talk to! They exchanged numbers and put her into izucrew group chat
Izuku and shinsou became close after their fight. Izuku came up to shinsou and decided that he wanted to tell him about how he was quirkless until the entrance exam. Shinsou yelled at him that he didn’t understand and that he was lying. So, izuku told him everything. About bakugou, about one for all, about all might, etc.
And so, another number was added to group chat
Shouto was next: He trauma dumps on izuku, and so, izuku tells him his backstory. They bond over similar traumas and thus, another number was added
Shouto is still just as awkward and doesn’t understand people just with the added pros of vengeance as a motive
Shinsou and Shouto get on like a house on fire. Shinsou likes to exploit the fact that Shouto doesn’t know what’s happening every, at any time. Not in the mean way, just. Well. In that way of, like,
“Shouto is too literal, metaphors go right over his head.”
“Nothing goes over my head; my reflexes are too fast, I would catch it”
Shinsou instigates these instances :)
Anyway, Monoma is next. He stumbled into the izucrew quite by accident. He was mocking them when Uraraka said “you know, not everyone in class A is like Bakugou :/“ and it got him thinking… so, he watches them. One day, he walks up to them at lunch, Draco malfoy style, and goes, “WeLL iF It iSn’T tHe InFaMouS nErDs!1!1!?2!1 oFf tO Do sOmE nErD ThInGs?!”
So tsu asks him why he’s so interested. Do you care? Do you want to join, Monoma? 👁👁
And he does.
Next up, momo and aoyama, who get absorbed into the izucrew via izuku’s analysis!
Aoyama was first, he left a message for izuku in cheese and they took off from there. He explained the problems with his quirk and izuku asked if he wanted to train together.
He did
For momo, it started with Hitoshi telling her that she needed to be more confident in her abilities, and Shouto saying that he trusted her plans. Then, Uraraka made an offhanded comment about izuku’s analysis; so, she asks him if he would be willing to help her out. His main criticism is,,,, her motherfucking hero costume. What is that shit????? That’s some real bullshit is what it is.
So, hatsume helps! :DDD
UA TRAITOR ARC SPOILERS:
Now, as we know, Aoyama is the forced villain/ua traitor. The crew tries to reason with the heroes, get them to try and help aoyama, but they don’t listen
So, the izucrew takes matters into their own hands. They’re not above breaking a few measly laws to protect their friends-their family.
So, they break Aoyama out of his cell and go on the lam.
They lay low for a while, planning too take down the league and get Aoyama’s parents to safety
They use izuku’s analysis, momo, Shouto, and Iida’s money and social status, Aoyama’s insider information, shinsou’s quirk, etc. to infiltrate the league and destroy them from the inside.
They even got toga to help them! They told her about their tragic backstories; Shouto being dabi’s brother, how he was “trained,” how his mother permanently scarred him
They told her about shinsou and Monoma being ostracized for their quirks, how people always said they would never be heroes
How hatsume was treated for her quirk and her eccentric behavior
How Tokoyami is scared of his quirk
How aoyama and izuku were quirkless, how bakugou treated izuku, and how aoyama was forced to be a traitor to his friends
How the heroes didn’t want to help him
How all he had left were his friends
She caved. She helped them destroy afo and shiggy. The crew-including toga-disbanded the league of villains
They saved Aoyama’s parents
Now, their real worry is staying hidden from the heroes, and dabi. He still wants revenge
The crew and toga find an abandoned house a ways away from UA and the bar
SPOILERS FOR UA TRAITOR ARC OVER!!
They decide that they need to go after the endeavor first, exposing corrupt heroes, but not take down hero society
A joke that my brother started for our au that we may or may not be writing a fic for 👀 : endeavor? More like endeadwhore
So yeah, endeavor’s death? Well. Gravity is a natural cause, right?
So now, the izucrew has added toga to their rankings
They patrol the streets in shifts, one night Present Mic finds them and they work together. He loves his kids, you can’t stop me >:(
He wanted to help aoyama, but he was overruled
So, they start working together. He helps them stay out of the spotlight and away from the other heroes
Let me know if y’all want villain izucrew headcanons where izuku doesn’t have ofa 👀

Katsuki Quirk Theory
So. I wanted to bring up a quirk theory I heard suggested once, and have THOROUGHLY researched. It comes up in a lot of my fics and I think it’s so important in explaining Katsuki. MENTIONED UA TRAITOR SPOILER DON’T READ IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW!
Nitroglycerin is, in real life, prescribed as a medication. It relaxes blood vessels and can alter heart rate - usually slowing it down. This is a controlled, medicated prescription because in LARGE amounts… well…it’s slowing down the heart - that can be pretty freaking bad. We know that Katsuki - at least in his hands - produces nitroglycerin. He gets this from his parents combined quirks - his father’s acid and his mother’s glycerin. I am not as certain of glycerin/glycerol effects, but one or two articles I sifted through did say that in SOME cases heart rate can be slowed down as well - others sped up.
Where I’m going with this is, typically, people born with quirks have some sort of natural defense against them. It’s why OFA causes such a strain on the user’s body, especially Izuku, and why Aoyama gets sick using his quirk - they weren’t theirs to begin with. Now, I know not EVERY quirk has built up defenses, and every quirk has a drawback (Aizawa’s dry eyes, Uraraka’s puking, Iida’s engine stall - etc etc). But, overall, I think most quirks come with a natural defense. There’s always been debate over whether or not Katsuki will or won’t lose his hearing - maybe already has since he’s so loud. I PERSONALLY think his body probably gave him sturdier ears to prevent that, but that’s just me. And I also think that Katsuki’s body came up with a way to defend against the possibility of Nitroglycerin poisoning - only it might be the biggest drawback of all.
Anxiety and Anger can MASSIVELY boost heart-rate.
Who is angry all the time? Katsuki AND Mitsuki.
Is it possible that Katsuki’s anger/anxiety issues stem from his body trying to keep his heart rate up? Is it possible that the nitroglycerin and glycerin require their bodies to combat slower heart rates? (Maybe for Mitsuki her heart is doing the opposite of slowing and just constantly going fast - keeping her in a mental state that’s higher?)
We all know that, while, sure, Katsuki was always a bit of a shit - he and Izuku WERE friends before he got his quirk. We put so much of the blame on his personality - on the ego he got from his quirk being epic. And I don’t dispute that as being part of it. But is it possible his quirk genuinely screwed with his brain chemistry?
Is it possible that his tendency to ‘explode’ partially gets worse when his body is trying to dispel large amounts? That his anger and anxiety decrease after he explodes shit, not just because he let something out emotionally…but physically? Possible that he is calmer after because his heart rate can slow but not dangerously so because he isn’t full of nitroglycerin?
I doubt that a doctor or anyone would ever look into this as a possibility because there would probably be an assumption that it was all ‘bad attitude’ or ‘personality’ maybe even simple upbringing - what with Mitsuki’s anger issues and all.
But think about how angry Katsuki gets - some of the pivotal moments in his and Izuku’s lives. If my theory is correct, he already would have a baseline of high anger and I truly think anxiety. Just because his body is trying to keep his heart steady. (the more the nitroglycerin pulls it down, the higher his anger/anxiety would work to pull it up). But add on an external moment of anxiety or anger? It’s going to be for all LITERAL intents and purposes like a ticking time bomb. Katsuki falls in the river? He’s scared? His anxiety is going to be even higher. Someone comes to help him? BOOM.
He gets extreme anxiety while the sludge villain is suffocating him? Rabid ‘monster’ BOOM. Izuku saves him? He’s vulnerable/anxious and now even more angry? BIGGER BOOM.
He gets muzzled after an anger episode? Triggering his anxiety over suffocation? RABID BEAST ONCE MORE MID PANIC ATTACK. He thinks he’s responsible for the fall of the greatest superhero? That the world is falling apart and it’s his fault? Yeah…that normal anxiety? Now skyrocketing. His heart rate is going crazy, his nitroglycerin builds up - both sides are attacking one another and he needs to boom the hell out of someone he knows can take it - Izuku. Baboom!
Wakes up in a hospital where he hasn’t been able to dispel any nitroglycerin? Learns Izuku is still unconscious? (the love of his life) BOOM! Katsuki’s body chemistry is literally ALWAYS fighting against itself. So when he starts to realize he’s an ASSHOLE and wants to change…. He is fighting an uphill battle in a nitroglycerin hurricane because his body is pushing him down in this war against its own chemistry. And that, Ladies, Gents and Those of you in between, is why his character progression is that much more meaningful. Because he still begins to overcome himself - even with all of that happening. And THAT is why I love him.

An AU idea I've been having: The Villain Class
Basically, what if Class 1-A were all villains. Instead of attending UA, they'd be studying under All for One and the League of Villains. All led by one of their youngest, yet most charismatic, Izuku Midoriya. Basically, Izuku would be a villain and so would every other member of Class 1-A from canon.
No real clue what they'd do aside from going against what was Class 1-B in canon. I do have an idea for a plot element where they eventually dethrone All for One, with Izuku taking his quirk and leadership of the League of Villains to lead some kind of villain revolution. I have ideas for how some of Class 1-A would be brought into this class.
Izuku: Personally recruited by All For One, as the sensei saw potential in him and grabbed him at his lowest point. He promised Izuku everything he could ever want as long as he followed him, and now Izuku plans on getting exactly that, with or, preferably, without All for One.
Bakugo: Turned into a semi-nomu as a present for Izuku. Essentially given a few procedures to limit the abilities of his brain and make him more obedient, though his personality still shines through in what is sometimes otherwise and empty shell.
Uraraka: She has money problems in canon. Well here they're even worse, causing her to go into criminal acts to help support her parents. Izuku takes notice of her and convinces her to join his class.
Aoyama: Manga Spoilers: Instead of becoming the UA traitor, he's sent into this villain class to aid them by All For One.
Todoroki: Some catastrophe happens at the Todoroki household, causing Shoto to run away. Eventually, he runs into Izuku, who offers him sanctuary.
Jiro: After hearing something she shouldn't and revealing the information, she's sent on the run. She thinks the class could offer her some sanctuary and joins up with them.
Those are basically all the ideas I had for specific members. I'd love to get some help with other ideas.

Chapter 342: Now, where were we?
"This operation will fail unless everyone plays their part. There is no such thing as a bit player."
HELLO INTERNET! WELCOME TO BBQ'S INANE RAMBLINGS!
Whoo-boy, it's sure been a bit since I graced the internet with my long-winded, unsolicited opinions about fiction; but I'm back - spurred on by the promise of my favorite bird boi coming down the chapter release pipeline starting this Sunday. So, naturally, I need to catch up and review everything else I've taken a break on before I can tackle the new stuff when it gets here.
So, let's buckle up and jump right in!!!
1. The Traitor: Aoyama can’t stop twinkling.
One of the last reveals we had before the start of the big battle is that Aoyama was the traitor all along, and we only really found out thanks to happenstance with Hagakure and Deku overhearing him talking to his parents about AFO. Nevertheless, with encouragement and understanding, he’s welcomed back to the fold and he heroically overcomes the fear that AFO had leveraged over him and his family and strikes back against his oppressor - becoming the key to luring AFO out into the open for his friends and allies.
Tumblr media
2. The Plan: Bait and Switch
Now that the heroes have a mole by which to control the information AFO has at his disposal, they elect to pretend that they never discovered Aoyama so as not to tip off that they’re cooking up a trap. Extensive considerations are put into defenses and tactics to cover as many contingencies and abilities that the enemy has at their disposal as possible and carefully choosing who will fight on what battlefront to best increase their chances of success. The heroes’ numbers and energy are certainly finite at this point, and this is their very last shot to take down AFO and Shigaraki before they mobilize and become unstoppable.
Tumblr media
3. The Attack: A Battle of Ideals
As much as this fight is a physical one, it’s also one of values and ideals. This comes across in both AFO and the heroes’ attitudes towards what they’re fighting for and for who. Where the villains are more concerned about squashing the obstacles that are the heroes in their way so that they can make their version of an ideal world, there are those among the heroes who wonder about the fates of their enemies, the paths that lead them there, and what real justice is for all parties involved, maybe even for the worst of the worst.
AFO regards Aoyama as no more than a useful tool to bring about his own ends, and whether or not he dies is ultimately inconsequential to his grand scheme because the ultimate goal is one where he’s at the top of the world and everyone else is below him - in his mind, exactly as the world should be.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Compare that to the heroes who see Aoyama as indispensable and valuable in and of himself. Where AFO exploited a single weakness in Aoyama for his own benefit, Class A chooses to look past his circumstances and into his character - a move that turns Aoyama from a tool into an ally. And this thinking is not only extended to one who openly sides with them, but to Toga and Dabi as well, despite their clear opposition to the peace the heroes seek and no clear way for them to fit within that vision.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Whether they’re naive or over-idealistic in pondering this about the villains, it is nonetheless completely antithetical to AFO’s worldview and attitudes about human life and the human condition and plainly illustrates the sides that the clashing powers of All-for-One and One-for-All portray. I’m curious to see how these philosophies manifest themselves in the battles to come.
I guess I’ll have to keep going to see.

BNHA AU Idea
Spoilers for chapter 240 of the Manga
AfO is All for One, OfA is One for All, I don't feel like typing them
▪︎ Incase you didn't know, Midoriya and Aoyama are both quirkless. Aoyama got his quirk from AfO and is the traitor, Midoriya has OfA, blah blah blah angst. Except not really in this AU
▪︎Even in canon, Aoyama was right next to Bakugo during the bench mark testing (chapters 5-7). Ururaka heard Bakugo call Midoriya Deku, so Aoyama, who was between them, would have heard Bakugo call Midoriya quirkless. He also would have heard Recovery Girl mention how he didn't seem used to hos quirk after the entrance exam. Midoriya still goes to the nurse, and afterwards talks to Iida and officially meets Ururaka, like usual
▪︎Before they leave, or maybe the next day, Aoyama introduces himself to Midoriya, slipping a peice of paper to him. Probably says something real ominous like "I know you secret. 3 pm. Behind the cafeteria."
▪︎Though creeped out, Midoriya goes to the meeting, praying Aoyama isn't talking about his quirk. Surprise, he is! "I knkw you were born quirkless too. Did All for One tell *you* why he needs two spies?" He's worried he'll get killed for not being good enough, and Midoriya is over here freaking out too but because "wtf he works for AfO?"
▪︎Midoriya makes up an excuse and makes a run for it. The next day, Aoyama corners him to confront him. It ends with Midoriya explaining OfA and Aoyama admitting he doesn't want to spy and explaining his backstory
▪︎The two come up with a plan to subvert Aoyama's spying. They know AfO can detect lies, but I don't think they know about his detecting ill will. So, Aoyama tells "uncle" what he wants to know, and then has Midoriya "accidentally" find a paper reminding him to tell AfO. Midoriya then warns Aizawa to beef up security
▪︎It takes the USJ for Aizawa to believe Midoriya, but now he's suspicious because Midoriya refused to tell him how he knows
▪︎Midoriya is still friends with Ururaka and Iida, but since he was prepared for the USJ attack it could very plausibly affect his relationship with Tsu
▪︎Since there is a prime suspect for the traitor, Nezu convinces Inko to let Midoriya stay with Aizawa and Yamada so they can keep an eye on him. So we get Dadzawa and Earsuremic
▪︎Aoyama starts hanging out with Midoriya, Ururaka, and Iida at lunch. He's a bit of a flirt, but it's aimed mostly at Midoriya. When Ururaka asks him, Aoyama simply says he already knows Midoriya and thought he'd be more ok with it then Ururaka and Iida
▪︎When Todoroki accuses Midoriya of being All Might's love child, he also accuses him of being the traitor. Midoriya denies both, but he won't give evidence or place blame on someone else. Midoriya would have chosen Aoyama to be on his team, but Shinso asked first, so the events and rankings on the sports festival don't change
▪︎Midoriya is cleared eventually, and when he is Aoyama walks him home to thank him for not ratting him out. Midoriya just asks why he'd do that when Aoyama needs help
▪︎Midoriya warns the Wild Wild Pussycats and teachers that the League is coming. During the rest of the camp Aoyama and Midoriya hang out a lot, but during the battle Aoyama has to stay out of the way lest someone recognize him. Bakugo is still taken, but now Aizawa is suspicious of Aoyama
▪︎Aoyama would break while interrogated, super stressed that Bakugo got captured because of him. Aizawa would expel him, but then Aoyama starts freaking out that that he and his parents will be killed so Aizawa re-enrolls him with the caveat that he will no longer be told about excursions that are just the hero course and he and Midoriya still do their counter-spy thing
▪︎Aizawa starts training Shinso earlier to see if he can help with that situation
▪︎When they move into the Heights Alliance, they still have their room competition. Afterward Aoyama tells Midoriya he liked his room and he likes him and they're gay because I love them
▪︎That's all the further I've thought about this but I might add more later

It's fun watching the divide between people bitching that they'd stop reading if Baku dies, and people bitching that Hori's pulling Baku's revival outta his ass (which, he IS, but I wasn't for a second actually BELIEVING that he'd kill Baku for real.)
Like, it's just truly pointing out that no matter WHAT, not everyone will be happy with the decisions you make, so just do what you wanna do (even if it makes no goddamn sense, but go off, King.)
Also, for everyone bitching that it's "toothless" like, yeah, welcome to MHA where the only MAJOR characters that died are Midnight and Magne, and even then they weren't really MAJOR, they were just recurring characters.
Like, I'm typically on the fence about whether he SHOULD kill anyone, even if it would make sense given that it's a WAR, but at the same time I don't want any of my babies to die so.. I'm a bit of a wimp myself
Yeah Hori really put himself in a tight spot. Faking out a major death like this would be stupid and cheap just like ending a chapter insinuating Hagakure was the traitor only to be like 'lol its Aoyama' next chapter but killing him off would piss off the majority of the BNHA fans considering Bakugo inexplicably comes in 1st every popularity poll. Its really a lose/lose…

An Aoyama Fan's Nightmare
By: helloiamadrawer
POV: You're a normal Aoyama fan/simp that just experienced the news of him being the traitor, enjoy
You couldn't believe it. You thought it would never be true since it was shoved in the very crevice of your mind. The certain theory of the U.A traitor was nothing but a little nuisance to you, an Aoyama fan. Of all the screen time he had in episode after episode in My Hero Academia it's always made you think
'Maybe the reason why he's acting weird is because he's socially awkward and he just wanted a friend'
But then a few of the scenes you have previously watched made your mind backtrack. The USJ attack and the training camp being destroyed for some odd reason. And it hit you with questionable concern and mysterious vibes. You reeled back through every animation frame, he wasn't there. But while the training camp arc came to it's turning point you saw Aoyama being encountered by Dabi. It sparked a uncertain feeling in you but you assumed it was nothing, thinking Aoyama could never do anything wrong like that.
Until...
Now you were in the present day of the 2nd of December, your eyes on your phone screen staring at the first article that Chrome recommended for you reading:
'Yuga Aoyama, U.A Traitor REVEALED Boku No Hero Academia Ch. 336'
No, it was not your mind nor your orbs of vision that was deceiving you. It was the images that were set before you when you clicked on said article. Yuga Aoyama crying waterfalls of tears in despair and flashbacks when he was a child...quirkless and afraid of being different from the other people with quirks. Now ever since you admired him for quite some time, you have wondered how he would look if he was crying and it almost made you cry every time. But this time, tears formed in your eyes as the Twitter posts of the manga revealing his tragic story of being in the clutch of All For One.
'No. No, it can't be. He just... CAN'T. How could he? Why, why, why?'
Your brain is swirling with questions and your eyes have yet not deceived you again. You couldn't get it through your mind, the thought is becoming too much. It's a scenario in your where there's a foggy patch of field and you're running across it, your feet pounding on the grassy ground never slowing down. You are running from something but that something is just a thought but a controversial thought that you assumed would never come true. Then, you start to slowly run out of breath and fall to the ground crying. Tears were rolling from your face. You wanted to scream from the top of your lungs in agony and not care if anybody heard you. But in real life, all you could do is bury your head in your arms and sob from all the times you crafted images of Aoyama in your head. Fantasizing about him sometimes. He was just too pretty to be destroyed by such intense and reckless feelings.
Well, there you were re-reading the article again to understand more. You have now known that the Shining Hero was the traitor because he was FORCED to by AFO since he gave him a quirk and made him enroll into U.A for Midoriya's quirk One for All. And that made you want to cry even more but you now had no energy to cry so you were just whining. As the days go by you were now on the manga always anticipating when the next chapter comes out because who knows when Aoyama may or may not die. This was no good dream that was coming true. No this was
EVERY AOYAMA FAN'S NIGHTMARE.

Year Four: A Retrospective
Followers: 2,250
Total Posts: 7,135
Most Popular Post: Happy New Years with 12,847 notes
Favorite Post: Easily The Big List: A Wizard’s Ranking of Quirks. I put a lot of work into that, probably being one of the longest things I have ever written. From the tier list itself, to the writing, to the editing.
Least Favorite Post: Top 15 Fifteen Worst Quirks. This one was rushed and I am not happy with it looking back. I still agree with most of my choices, but it certainly could have been a lot better.
Funniest Moment: I have to give it to Iida becoming a space cadet. The stars really lined up for me on that one, especially it happening in Chapter 321. Special mention goes to how All For One stole his prison chair.
Best Moment in the Manga: Aoyama Traitor Reveal
Tumblr media
Ignoring how this vindicated my prediction, I like how this played out. Instead of a mustache twirling villain, we got a traitor with seem real tragedy, an expansion of a minor character, and some good redemption for his actions.
Runners Up:
-Bakugou apologizing. Look, I know this may not seem like much, but I have been waiting for this moment for years. Finally seeing Bakugou apologizing for how he's acting was so satisfying to see.
-Stain and All Might talk. An interaction I've been wanting for a while and I think it turned out well. And as bizarre as it is to hear such a hopeful speech from Stain, I do like the pep talk he gives to Toshinori.
Worst Moment in the Manga: Tomura vs Stars and Stripes
Tumblr media
This is the lowest point for me. The introduction of "New Order", horrendous pacing, the charisma vacuum that was Stars and Stripes, the amount of time I felt was wasted by the end. I despise this entire fight so much that I almost dropped the manga out of annoyance with it.
Runners Up
-Rogue Izuku. What could have been an interesting idea that explored our main character in a way that hasn’t been done before, this barely lasted a single chapter, quickly being scooped up by Class 1-A in short order.
-The time skips. Not only were we robbed of any potential development of Izuku and his powers, we skipped out on a lot of other potential story and character bits just to move the story along faster.
Best Moment in the Anime:
Runners Up:
Worst Moment in the Anime:
Runners Up:
Look, I’m going to be honest, I skipped the anime this year. I got busy and I just wasn’t interested in watching it. And given the fan reactions, I made the right choice. Sorry if any of you were curious.
How would I summarize the year: This feels like a downgrade.
What I would do differently: Try to be more confidant and positive about my own writing.
Thank you all for such a good year. Hopefully the next year will be better.

HypMic x Detective Conan AU [Masterlist]
Another ridiculous crossover, this time HypMic and DC. DC is the anime that will always hold a special place in my heart.
As for HypMic, I got pulled in it recently. I know that there must be something I don’t know, because I haven’t research the characters deeper yet (I only watched the anime and read the Fandom lol).
I JUST LOVE IT WHEN MY FAVORITE TWO SERIES MEET, OKAY? HERE WE GO!
Introduction: PART 1 (you’re here!) - PART 2
Countdown to Heaven: trapped in Tower A - among the evacuees - car crossing to tower
Yokohama Pier confrontation: the unwanted arrival and rescue
The setting took place (mostly) in Yokohama (Kanagawa) and a little bit in Shinjuku, Shibuya, and Ikebukuro (Tokyo).
Best read while listening to "Greed” by KNOCK OUT MONKEY or “DEATH RESPECT” by MAD TRIGGER CREW VS Matenrou
---
Ichiro Yamada (child identity: Hiroki Ohtomo)
Tumblr media
Nineteen-year old Ichiro was a well-known amateur detective throughout Ikebukuro and later Yokohama for being able to solve any crime that the police failed to. He is also a former member of The Dirty Dawg, a rap group.
One day, after solving a murder at an amusement park, Ichiro comes upon a mysterious man in black extorting money from another man. Assuming that he knows too much, the two men forced him into a rap battle. One of them used an illegal Hypnosis Microphone laced with poison that was supposed to not only kill him, but leave no trace behind.
Unfortunately for them, Ichiro has been shrunk into a ten-year old. One quick visit to his rival and neighbor Samatoki's house later, Ichiro realizes that he must keep his real identity secret, otherwise the two men in black will come back and kill him for good.
Nemu Aohitsugi (child identity: Chika Aoyama)
Tumblr media
Nemu Aohitsugi is a genius chemist who created the CASTOR-IX poison that turned Ichiro into a ten-year old boy.
After she is imprisoned by the yakuza for being related to the yakuza traitor, Samatoki Aohitsugi, Nemu attempted to end her own life with a dose of CASTOR-IX but was instead de-aged as well. Using her newly-shrunken body to escape and go into hiding as "Chika Aoyama", Nemu is luckily taken in by her older brother. She uses her condition to live out the innocent childhood she never had.
She befriends Ichiro, Jiro, and Saburo as a way to make amends for her past crimes, and works on an CASTOR-IX antidote for Ichiro.
Samatoki Aohitsugi
Tumblr media
An ex-yakuza (wakagashira) of the Katen Family and former member of The Dirty Dawg along with Ichiro. Samatoki is Ichiro's hot-tempered friend/rival who makes a living developing odd inventions (albeit failed miserably at times); some of which are put to use by Ichiro throughout his (mis)adventures.
Despite their bitter rivalry, Ichiro appears to have the utmost trust in him. Ichiro had no problem of revealing his identity to him only moments after being shrunk by an illegal Hypnosis Microphone laced with poison called "CASTOR-IX".
He is Nemu Aohitsugi's older brother and took her in when she showed up at Ichiro's doorstep unconscious and drenched in the rain. He often provides insight for Ichiro to help combat the yakuza.
Hifumi Izanami
Tumblr media
A no. 1 host who works at a club in Shinjuku. He has a severe fear of women, yet a very upbeat and friendly fellow.
He was believed to be the yakuza's Jyuto Iruma, but is actually a Public Security Bureau (PSB) agent named Hifumi Izanami looking into his whereabouts. He is unaware that the real Jyuto Iruma has been using his appearance as a disguise to hunt for Nemu Aohitsugi.
As a PSB agent, he's often partnered with fellow agent (and best friend) who poses as a pessimistic salaryman, Doppo Kannonzaka.
Doppo Kannonzaka
Tumblr media
A sales representative at the E.L Medical Co, Ltd, a manufacturer of medical equipment in Shinjuku which has its branch in Yokohama.
He’s a pessimist who thinks about everything in a negative light, and... oh, he apologizes constantly. He's often seen with black eyes due to perpetual gloom and exhaust.
Beneath his unassuming personality, he's secretly a competent Public Security Bureau (PSB) agent with his partner (and best friend), Hifumi Izanami, who poses as a club host.
Notes:
- I tried my best not to make them stray off from their respective occupations (for Doppo and Hifumi), basically these two are undercover agents and uses club host and salaryman as a cover :)
- I made Samatoki as an ex-yakuza and Nemu as a chemist associated with them. However, both betrayed the underworld because they couldn’t see each other a long time and grew tired of the shady things they do everyday.  I JUST WANT TO SEE THEM SPEND THEIR FAMILY TIME TOGETHER (poor Nemu got brainwashed by the Chuoku) :”(((
- Samatoki as a mad inventor whose inventions malfunction constantly is my everything, hehehehe
- HELLO, DOPPO AS A SECRET AGENT IS BADASS AF, SO DO HIFUMI
- Oh yes, Jyuto become a yakuza member who poses as an active-duty police sergeant in the Organized Crime Unit of the Kanagawa Police. Put it simply, he infiltrated the police force which is part of his mission to hunt Nemu :)
- I tried to make a hybrid use of Hypnosis Microphone and real weapons here. In a relatively normal situation, they use Hypnosis Microphone to fight, but when everything gets tough, they use weapons. In Ichiro’s case, as he was shrunken into a child, he can’t rap in order not to expose his identity. However, he can rap when he returned to his original body temporarily.
