what’s one thing you’d tell your younger self?

(btw make it genuine, I don’t want any replies being like “drink more h2o bitch” even though that’d be true too lmao)

I wish I could tell my younger self how important a support system is.

she thought she could do it all by herself. she told herself she got this, when bit by bit, she was breaking.

she was really fucking tired. her mental health was fucked.

but she just wouldn’t accept the love, yknow? she wouldn’t do it, because she really did believe she had got it, that she would make it, that things were going to be just fine.

and guess what? she did make it. i just wish i could tell her that she had got this, definitely, but a little help would’ve made her so much happier.

moral is, tell people. speak up. don’t hold pain in, it’ll hurt a lot. trust someone enough, and let them know you need love & empathy. there’s nothing wrong in asking for help, and love heals people. I wish younger me knew that.
